- Week 9 Waiver Wire PICKUPS: We're officially halfway through the fantasy football season and the playoffs are right around the corner. Right now it doesn't matter how well you drafted, how poorly you drafted, or even last week's score. What matters most is that you're making the moves each and every week to ensure that you make it into the playoffs and ultimately to that championship. This is one of the better weeks of the waiver wire that we've had in quite some time, and today we're gonna talk about all of my week nine waiver wire pickup. The difference between you bringing home that championship trophy and you sitting on the couch like a bum. comes down to your waiver wire pickups. Let's get into it. Well, welcome back to Fat Daddy Sports. If you're new here, my name is Craig. And today we're taking a look at my week nine waiver wire pickups. There's a little bit of something for everybody out there running backs, wide receivers, tight ends. We're gonna go through it all right now. We're gonna start with the high priority guys that are owned in over 50% of those leagues. That 50% number is that threshold that we try to stay at or below. So that there's a wide range of leagues that they're available in. But these are guys that absolutely need to be owned if they are available in your league. You need to drop your fab on them. You need to drop those high waiver priority picks on them. And starting in Denver, the running back Jonah Coleman, he was a waiver wire pickup last week, went out and balled out this past weekend. absolutely took the reins from J.K. Dobbins. RJ Harvey has been placed on IR. So really it is all full steam ahead for Jonah Coleman. And he proved in the second half why he deserved to be running back one there in Denver. He's got explosiveness, catches it out of the backfield really well, he makes moves. and he could be a absolute league winner if you're able to get him. The only thing that I would caution you on with him is that I do believe Denver will make a trade for a running back, whether it be Jonathan Taylor or Tony Pollard, anybody, I could see them bringing them in for fantasy football. That absolutely sucks because Jonah Coleman could be a a league winner if he has that backfield to himself. Real football, though, I think that they would be very, very smart to bring in an electric running back like a Jonathan Taylor that could really put them over the edge, take some of that pressure off of Bo Nicks as he is still kind of coming back from that ankle injury. But this Denver offense is looking better and better every single week. And I think a another running back would absolutely add to that. And then we go over to Miami, Malik Washington, wide receiver there. He has had quietly, because he plays for the Dolphins probably, he's quietly had some really nice weeks as of late, double digit points for you. If you need a guy, a spot start, a bye week fill in, Malik Washington could be that guy for you. And then in Arizona, we saw Jeremiah Love return from his two week stint, his injury stint, only to come back and I I believe it's the same ankle, re-injure that ankle. He's going to be out sometime. Hopefully not a long term thing, but I think the the wise thing to do is to shut him down at least for the next four weeks and see how that thing heals up. you've got a lot of capital into that player. You do not want to hurt him for the future, but If that is the case, then this is Tyler Algier's show. And if that's the case, then you definitely want him on your team. He's only owned in fifty-eight percent of leagues right now, so he's probably out there in your league. If you're in a deeper league or a really competitive league, he's probably not available. But go ahead and check that waiver wire anyway. And while you're there, go ahead and check for the rookie wide receiver for the Saints in Jordan Tyson. This is a guy that we have talked about extensively here. A very exciting player coming out of college, had some hamstring issues coming into the pros, and then in training camp, same thing popped up again, was placed on IR, and we were told, you know, end of October, beginning of November, and now here we are. We're into November. Jordan Tyson should, should be coming back from his injury here in the next few weeks anyway. And right now he's still on IR, so you can still stash him in that IR slot if you have one. But definitely he's going to be a playmaker for the Saints offense. I've kind of tempered my expectations on him a little bit. I was very high on him early in the season of really being right there with Chris Olave. But I think as the season's gone on, they've slow rolled it. I I could see them slow rolling him back into this offense. So Definitely worth a stash, but I wouldn't bank on him coming right back and getting you 15 points every week. Now taking a look at the guys that I think you need to be looking at this week to add to your team, whether you need a wide receiver, you need a running back. We'll we'll start at the wide receiver position. This is Brian Thomas Jr. for the Jaguars momentarily. As of right now, I haven't heard any news of him being traded, but it's gotta be coming. They threw him a touchdown this weekend. That never happens. I think they're showcasing him one last time before he hits the market. obviously Kansas City has been rumored as a strong destination for him, but I gotta think there's a lot of teams calling on him. He's a a very explosive player, a lot of talent, had some issues with drops in the last couple of years, but man, his rookie year was electrifying. I gotta think he'll he'll end up in a better situation than where he is right now. And he's currently only forty-three percent owned. So I think that he's probably sitting out there. If you need a wide receiver, if you have an empty bench spot, go ahead and stash him and hold and just see how it shakes out here in the next week and a half. The next wide receiver we're talking about is in Dallas and is Ryan Flannoy. He has quietly had some really good weeks going back to week number five, twelve points, seventeen points, eleven points, thirteen point, one point. Very, very solid contributor to this Dallas team. Obviously, CeeDee Lamb is the alpha and George Pickens is right there as well. But Pickens is dealing with some injuries himself and they just lost their tight end, Jake Ferguson. There's gonna be some targets to go around. I think if you're in a pinch and you need a wide receiver, he could be a good ad for you this week. The next wide receiver we're talking about is Adnai Mitchell in New York. This one is, I don't know, feels kind of like a it just feels like you're flipping a coin a little bit. Obviously Garrett Wilson is there for now. Who knows if he'll end up getting traded? But you had Omar Cooper come in and and dominate and then do nothing this past weekend. Adnai Mitchell returns from his IR stint. Last week he only played forty-four percent of the snaps, got three targets, no catches. And then this past week in week eight, he played sixty-one percent of the snaps, saw nine targets, seven catches, a hundred and forty-two yards, and a touchdown. Good enough for twenty-seven point two PPR points. I I think there's a world in which Garrett Wilson does get traded here before the deadline, and you're looking at Omar Cooper Jr. and Adonai Mitchell as your one two there on the Jets. So I think Adonai Mitchell, he's only 11% rostered right now. He could be a very sneaky ad, a good ad. The talent is there. the talent has always been there. I thought when he got traded from the Colts, it was an absolute steal. I thought that the Jets got a very, very good player. And given the opportunity, I think he could be a very, very solid wide receiver in the NFL. And one more player that I think could be a very solid wide receiver in the NFL is rookie wide receiver for the Commanders, Antonio Williams. We've talked about him a few times. Only rostered in thirty seven percent of leagues, but that number is about to go up big time. With Terry McLaurin out of the the lineup for the commanders in his first game starting there, Antonio Williams got seven targets, five catches, fifty-four yards, good for 10.4 PPR points. This was a very weird game back and forth. Both offenses looked very, very bad. Better days are ahead. They they've openly talked about Antonio Williams and how much they love him and need to get him the ball. I think much better days are ahead. He's going to continue learning from Stefan Diggs. And getting into those open space areas. He made some really nice catches on Sunday night football this past week. And I think going forward, he could be a I don't know if I want to say a league winner, but he's got absolute potential to help your squad down the stretch. All right, another guy that could help your team down the stretch, the tight end position is an absolute wasteland every single year. But Mike Isicki, holy smokes, he has scored in every single game except for week two against Houston. He's got five straight games of a touchdown this past week. He saw six targets, four catches, seventy-six yards, seventeen point six PPR points. And I think that that's gonna continue. I mean, this Bengals offense cannot run the ball right now. Obviously, they're in the the sweepstakes for a Jonathan Taylor or another running back as well right now. But they get down into that red zone, that goal line area, and they're not even really looking to run the ball. I mean, Samash Pirine gets in there a little bit, but Chase Brown is being phased completely out of the game plan, and they are really just looking to throw. Joe Burrow just had six touchdowns in week eight, and I think it's going to continue. They like to throw the ball. They've got good pass catchers that can open things up in the middle of the field for Gasicki. And I I could see his touchdown streak continuing, maybe not for another five weeks, or maybe not even next week. But I think if you're in a spot where you need a tight end on a bye week or an injury, Mike Gasicki is definitely a guy that you can pick up. He's only rostered in 26% of leagues right now. So definitely a good plug and play option. And real quick before we jump over to the running back position, I just want to let you guys know that I make these videos every single week: waiver wire videos, ranking videos, starts and sits, and other fantasy football nonsense videos. If you see anything here that you like or anything that you got value from, would you hit that subscribe button, drop a comment, drop a like? It would mean the absolute world to me. And let's jump into the running back waiver wire pickups this week. Starting in Las Vegas, Mike Washington just absolutely dominated the backfield touches in the running game on Sunday against the Jets. Ashton Gensy has not been efficient on the ground. He's been good in the past game, but not on the ground in this past weekend. Mike Washington saw sixty percent of the snaps, got twenty-five carries for eighty-three yards. Just 3.32 yards per carry, but you compare that over to Ashton Gentsy, got two carries for nine yards. I think that they're trying to tell us something there. I think that Mike Washington absolutely needs to be owned. He's had a lot of hype in the offseason and leading up to this season. A very explosive player. I think if that continues, if they end up shutting Gentsy down because of an injury, I mean he Genty has not looked 100%. We'll see how this season ends up going if they end up shutting him down for any sort of time. But regardless, even if he's healthy out there, Mike Washington needs to be owned. And then we'll jump over to Indianapolis, the rookie running back, Seth McGowan. Obviously, the the big news right now is Jonathan Taylor being traded somewhere. Where to, we don't know yet. If it for sure will happen, we don't know yet. But I would say more than likely it's go going to happen when there's that much smoke. It there's usually fire. So I would expect Jonathan Taylor to be dealt here in the next week, which leaves room for Seth McGowan. Obviously, they could get a running back back in return for Jonathan Taylor, but right now it looks like it's gonna shape up to be the Seth McGowan show. In week seven against Minnesota, he got eleven carries, forty-six yards, kind of like an audition, I think it it probably was for him. This past week against Jacksonville. The Colts were terrible and outmatched the entire game. He only saw five carries, twenty-nine yards. But he's still averaging six point seven five yards in week six, four point one eight yards in week seven against Minnesota, five point eight against Jacksonville. those are good defenses, Minnesota and Jacksonville, tough to run against. He's only owned in 48% of leagues. If you're in a deep league, you need a running back, you need a running back dart throw. I think Seth McGowan could be a guy that brings some value going forward. Obviously, this Colts offense is pretty limited, so his upside is probably going to be limited most weeks. I don't know how many touchdown opportunities he'll have. He doesn't really catch the ball a whole lot out of the backfield, or at least they haven't shown that too much. But I think that if you're in a spot where you need a running back, there's definitely worse options out there. And anytime you can pick up a a starting running back in the NFL halfway through the fantasy football season, you always try to jump on that opportunity. So go out and check and see if Seth McGowan is out there in your league. Another guy that you absolutely need to check for is Emmett Johnson for the Kansas City Chiefs, only owned in 24% of leagues right now. And that number is low because of Kenneth Walker, obviously, but we're at the point in the year now where handcuffs need to start being owned. And there is not many that are going to be better options than Emmett Johnson. This guy has got the juice. And I tell you that as a diehard Chiefs fan that has watched every game, I've watched every preseason, every practice. Well, okay, not every practice, but I've watched practice clips. I mean, I've I've been in on this guy for months now, and he really popped off this past weekend against Denver. Only had one carry for 15 yards, but it was an exciting 15 yards. But where he really dominated was one in special teams, but also in the receiving game, five catches for 128 yards and a touchdown. Just an absolutely electric player. He wears the same number as Isaiah Pacheco. He runs kind of hard like Isaiah Pacheco did his rookie year, but this kid is electric. Five foot eleven, two hundred pounds out in Nebraska. He was a very, very fun college running back. As a Big Ten football fan, I saw a lot of this kid in college. And I was very excited when the Chiefs took him. Obviously, he's stuck behind Kenneth Walker right now, so that's not gonna change. But if anything were to happen to Kenneth Walker, I think that this kid becomes an absolute league winner for you. But even if nothing happens and he Kenneth Walker stays healthy, they're gonna find ways to get Emmett Johnson involved. Desperately need playmakers right now on that offense. They absolutely stink. They're boring to watch. They're not creative. They need some electricity in that unit. And Emmett Johnson brings that spark. We saw it on Sunday against the Broncos, and I think we'll see a lot more of it going forward. And the final guy that we're talking about is over in New York, Devin Singletary. We saw Tyrone Tracy get placed on IR. Cam Scattaboo had his fumbling issues early on. John Harbaugh tried to prove a point. We'll see if they bring anybody else in in that backfield. But right now it looks like it's going be Scataboo and then Devin Singletary. And I think that Cam Scataboo is obviously the RB1 there. I think that that was just a one-game ploy punishment type thing. He's he was very, very good right before the bye. So I think that that will continue going forward. But I do think Devin Singletary will get some run in this offense right before the bye against Houston's 29% of the snaps, five carries. He averaged 8.2 yards, had a touchdown, added three catches for 14 yards. He's going to be involved. They're not just going to give Scataboo, you know, eighty-five, ninety percent of the snaps. That's not gonna happen. So if you're in a deep league, you need a running back, Devin Singletary could fit that bill for you. I think they like him around the goal line. He's obviously been there for a while and gets the job done. he's not anything like crazy awesome for me. I'm not spending a lot of priority or fab on this guy, but if he's available and it's, you know, I need a Need a running back on the roster, I'll go ahead and pick him up, take a flyer on him. But let me know down in the comments, guys, who did I miss? Who are you trying to add this week off the waiver wire? Who are you excited to see?
