- 0:01Speaker 1: For the first time ever, Western Massachusetts Regional Women's Correctional
- 0:05Speaker 1: Center opened its doors to a television crew. You're a
- 0:10Speaker 1: visitor given incredible access to this uniquely female space that
- 0:16Speaker 1: is home to some of America's most dangerous women.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I like to see as in my whole hand filled
- 0:21Speaker 2: a blown girl goad someone's tweets.
- 0:24Speaker 3: First the charge with everything from drug trafficking, armed robbery,
- 0:30Speaker 3: gang violence, and even murder. Our cameras captured every shocking
- 0:39Speaker 3: and sometimes surprising moment of life behind bars. That jail
- 0:46Speaker 3: life can be explosive and every day can be a
- 0:49Speaker 3: battle to stay safe.
- 0:51Speaker 4: You feel you're going to enharm yourself.
- 0:53Speaker 1: My when good girls go bad, anything can happen.
- 0:59Speaker 5: I make nobody should die that way. I've never seen
- 1:07Speaker 5: anything that her.
- 1:08Speaker 6: One of the duties of a pathologist is to determine
- 1:11Speaker 6: the cause of death.
- 1:12Speaker 7: Watch on mobile devices or the big screen, all for free,
- 1:16Speaker 7: no subscription required.
- 1:19Speaker 8: Download Bilee now.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Victoria d As known as Baby D, likes to throw
- 1:32Speaker 1: her weight around in pre troll po three A.
- 1:38Speaker 9: I'm very loud, outspoken, very violent, yep impulsive.
- 1:45Speaker 10: There's reports of Victoria Mista is doing some bullying. I'm
- 1:49Speaker 10: kind of pushing a weight around in the unit, which
- 1:51Speaker 10: is cyper goal for Victoria.
- 1:53Speaker 9: If I don't like you, I'm rude at her.
- 1:56Speaker 1: She has already forced one in my interprotective customer Date
- 2:00Speaker 1: and tensions are rising with some of the new inmates
- 2:03Speaker 1: who are challenging her or Flora.
- 2:05Speaker 9: Because then the new girls they don't know where to sit.
- 2:07Speaker 9: They try to sit at the table and you have
- 2:08Speaker 9: to tell them.
- 2:09Speaker 1: To get up.
- 2:10Speaker 9: These new girls don't know where they're going when we
- 2:13Speaker 9: get a new shipment of zombies. But when they come in,
- 2:16Speaker 9: we constantly have to tell them, like and they need
- 2:18Speaker 9: to settle down, sit down somewhere. When they come they
- 2:23Speaker 9: have to like to sit back and observe, like, see
- 2:28Speaker 9: who's pop dog?
- 2:29Speaker 11: Here?
- 2:29Speaker 9: See who's running things? We were laughing at, Oh, here
- 2:38Speaker 9: come the cuddies.
- 2:43Speaker 1: One of the new girls, Megan, really gets on Baby
- 2:46Speaker 1: Date's nerves.
- 2:48Speaker 9: I can't, you know, I can't with that girl. I
- 2:51Speaker 9: knew right off rip that I didn't like her, and
- 2:52Speaker 9: then I, you know, fell back a little bit, try
- 2:54Speaker 9: to give her a chance, and I knew the second time,
- 2:56Speaker 9: I really don't like this girl. Like to prove herself
- 3:01Speaker 9: way too hard, and you don't need to do that,
- 3:03Speaker 9: Like it's either you are you aren't.
- 3:06Speaker 5: And she just she just isn't.
- 3:08Speaker 4: She was just being extra real extra. She was making
- 3:13Speaker 4: full of herself.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Tensions are continuing to rise between Baby D's crew and
- 3:27Speaker 1: a group of new inmates, including Megan.
- 3:32Speaker 7: M h.
- 3:34Speaker 12: Actually the second time I've been here.
- 3:39Speaker 7: And half.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Baby D doesn't like Megan, who she calls cherry face.
- 3:47Speaker 9: I really don't like this girl, Like she's just she's
- 3:50Speaker 9: just too much.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Meccan was roomed in a cell with Tiny, who is
- 3:55Speaker 1: part of Baby D's crew.
- 3:57Speaker 4: So then they put timing and knowing them.
- 3:59Speaker 11: What is a part of that.
- 4:01Speaker 9: I don't know why administration wouldn't even do that if
- 4:04Speaker 9: you know that that. No, no, this is what they
- 4:06Speaker 9: tho because when they were at the desk, they were
- 4:07Speaker 9: telling them to break up the clicks. They were like,
- 4:09Speaker 9: you need to mix these rooms up and break up
- 4:11Speaker 9: the clips, start moving.
- 4:13Speaker 1: This strategy didn't end well. Tiny and Meghan had a
- 4:16Speaker 1: fight at night in their cell.
- 4:18Speaker 11: Beg was sleeping like she was sleeping in bed, like
- 4:21Speaker 11: she told me probably an hour before this happened, that
- 4:23Speaker 11: she was going to sleep.
- 4:24Speaker 7: She would hold her out by her and Tiny got
- 4:28Speaker 7: her asked for it.
- 4:29Speaker 4: She was sleeping. I'm like, girl, I'm young, and Throw'm like,
- 4:32Speaker 4: are you all right?
- 4:32Speaker 1: So the guy was a sleeping Meghan and Tiny were
- 4:35Speaker 1: putting segregation for the fight.
- 4:40Speaker 11: I'm in segregation because some people don't respect their elders.
- 4:46Speaker 13: H and when someone swings.
- 4:52Speaker 4: First, win the fight.
- 5:00Speaker 9: I was really mad about the fight with Tiny, about
- 5:03Speaker 9: Terry Face fighting Tiny. I was really upset about it
- 5:06Speaker 9: cause it my like, if I could get out my
- 5:08Speaker 9: door and if the cop, I mean, if the other
- 5:10Speaker 9: seals wasn't already in there, I probably would have jumped
- 5:13Speaker 9: in the fight and beat up Cherry Face.
- 5:14Speaker 7: But whatever.
- 5:18Speaker 1: The next morning by b D is still simmering.
- 5:21Speaker 9: I was still angry about it, but I wasn't really,
- 5:23Speaker 9: you know, being vocal about it. I was just, you know,
- 5:26Speaker 9: I was talking to everybody at my table.
- 5:29Speaker 6: Miss Diaz was that morning breakfast with the rest of
- 5:32Speaker 6: the unit, and we had another white inmate. Had a
- 5:35Speaker 6: verbal confrontation with Miss Diaz in the dining hall while
- 5:37Speaker 6: they were reading the breakfast.
- 5:38Speaker 9: She was bragging about it, like, oh she beat that girl,
- 5:42Speaker 9: U blah blah blah, Like.
- 5:44Speaker 2: That's not cute.
- 5:47Speaker 9: The girl started cussing and cussing, and I was ignoring
- 5:50Speaker 9: her at first, and some other girl on my table
- 5:52Speaker 9: was arguing with her.
- 5:54Speaker 6: The younger white girl ended up throwing a milk carton
- 5:57Speaker 6: or a loaded milk carton at mishaps Diaz.
- 6:05Speaker 9: I blacked out. I stood up, She stood up, and
- 6:09Speaker 9: I probably, I don't know.
- 6:10Speaker 4: They asked me who through the first point.
- 6:11Speaker 9: I probably did, I don't know.
- 6:14Speaker 4: She was like she was smaller than me. She was like,
- 6:16Speaker 4: you know, oh my whole head's face smaller than me,
- 6:19Speaker 4: but with fop a rock.
- 6:24Speaker 6: Ms Diaz is a pretty large girl, and she seems
- 6:27Speaker 6: to be carrying a lot a lot of weight in
- 6:29Speaker 6: the unit. Yeah, I fight, did 't sue and did
- 6:33Speaker 6: look like that. Ms Diaz kind of got the better
- 6:35Speaker 6: of her.
- 6:39Speaker 7: Yeah, girl got her hides beat.
- 6:46Speaker 14: Talking shit.
- 6:53Speaker 6: It doesn't really make much difference. The girls saved face,
- 6:56Speaker 6: and maybe Ms Diaz maybe lost a little bit of
- 6:58Speaker 6: face at the point because she didn't have somebody else
- 7:02Speaker 6: protecting her or somebody else doing her dirty.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Work for her.
- 7:04Speaker 6: She had to do it herself. So they have other
- 7:08Speaker 6: people do their dirty work. And as you can see,
- 7:13Speaker 6: she takes her down. The officer did a great job
- 7:16Speaker 6: getting involved right away before anybody gotten hurt, takes the
- 7:21Speaker 6: aggressor to the ground. Miss Diaz goes right to the
- 7:23Speaker 6: ground when ordered to by the officer. You can't really see,
- 7:28Speaker 6: but she's on the other side of this table with
- 7:29Speaker 6: her hands. She's on her belly with her hands behind
- 7:31Speaker 6: her back, waiting to be handcuffed.
- 7:35Speaker 9: But she threw her miok at me like it was
- 7:36Speaker 9: this exchanging word said, she threw her milk at me.
- 7:39Speaker 4: So I got up. She got up and started fighting,
- 7:42Speaker 4: and she yet naw one.
- 7:47Speaker 1: So from three eight tiny making baby Day and her
- 7:51Speaker 1: attacker Rachel are old in segregation.
- 7:56Speaker 9: I knew that was gonna happen. You don't get into
- 7:58Speaker 9: a fight and then go back here, you like, I'm
- 8:01Speaker 9: the one that decided to stand up and hit the girl,
- 8:03Speaker 9: so I'll pay the praise for it.
- 8:07Speaker 7: You don't think you need see.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Here. In pre trial post three B, the inmates have
- 8:17Speaker 1: been repeatedly breaking the rules, and senior Officer Captain Pitt
- 8:21Speaker 1: has come to read the Riot Act.
- 8:23Speaker 12: They locking you block in.
- 8:25Speaker 4: My job is in your account to you. My job
- 8:28Speaker 4: isn't here.
- 8:28Speaker 15: To be your friend.
- 8:29Speaker 4: My job is to make sure that you are safe
- 8:31Speaker 4: while you were on our customer. Your job is to
- 8:34Speaker 4: self reflect why am I here?
- 8:36Speaker 16: And what poor choices did I need to get me
- 8:39Speaker 16: here thinking that this is your house, Because I'm gonna
- 8:41Speaker 16: tell you right now, this is our house.
- 8:43Speaker 4: You're a visitor. You are a visitor. You don't run
- 8:47Speaker 4: anything here.
- 8:48Speaker 7: We run.
- 8:49Speaker 4: This is it. This is your last shot. Well right
- 8:52Speaker 4: now you have sixty seconds. Love me.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Due to this bad behavior, the inmates will remain on lockdown.
- 8:59Speaker 1: As a punishment, they'll have to stay in their sales
- 9:02Speaker 1: for more than twenty two hours a day until further notice.
- 9:10Speaker 11: Yesterday, I guess they said that we walked in too slow,
- 9:17Speaker 11: so now we'll walk down again. When we just came
- 9:19Speaker 11: off of a four day long it just boasted. I've
- 9:22Speaker 11: never been to a jail in my life that locks
- 9:25Speaker 11: us down over like petty shit.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Twenty four year old down Robert Franklin was transferred here
- 9:31Speaker 1: a week ago from Wyatt Federal Prison in Rhode Island.
- 9:36Speaker 11: The I'm robber, I committed. I had a knife. I
- 9:41Speaker 11: went to a carpractor and it was a lady there
- 9:46Speaker 11: and I pulled out the knife, wasn't nowhere close to her,
- 9:50Speaker 11: told her to give me everything. If you say anything
- 9:52Speaker 11: like you know, I'll stop you or whatever. She ran
- 9:57Speaker 11: out like behind me. She's like, God's gonna get you
- 9:59Speaker 11: for this. You're not going to get away. Twenty minutes later,
- 10:03Speaker 11: the police was behind me. I'm transgender. I've made that
- 10:11Speaker 11: decision since I was about twenty years old. One reason
- 10:15Speaker 11: why I really identify as transgender is because I feel
- 10:19Speaker 11: like I'm a male trapped in a female's body.
- 10:22Speaker 1: As the early transman in Free B, Franklin gets a
- 10:25Speaker 1: lot of attention.
- 10:26Speaker 7: So because mister Franklin is more masculine in the pod,
- 10:30Speaker 7: it kind of causes the flock of the other women
- 10:33Speaker 7: to see what he is all about, what his situation is,
- 10:36Speaker 7: and they're just basically trying to get attention from him
- 10:39Speaker 7: for the most part. So causes a little bit of
- 10:42Speaker 7: boundary issues with the other women.
- 10:46Speaker 11: I've had plenty Generroman actually, and some of them turned
- 10:53Speaker 11: out bad, some of them turned out good.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Franklin was transferred here after he was cold in another
- 11:00Speaker 1: woman's cell, which is a violation of PRIYA. The Prison
- 11:04Speaker 1: Rape Elimination.
- 11:05Speaker 7: Act so PRIA is a federal law that was developed
- 11:13Speaker 7: to prevent sexual assault with prisoners in facilities like ours.
- 11:18Speaker 11: The review of the cameras, the camera show that I
- 11:20Speaker 11: was in the room. I told them, all right, we
- 11:21Speaker 11: were talking. That's it's a good friend of mine.
- 11:24Speaker 7: So a PRIA incident could be anything from being investigated
- 11:28Speaker 7: if two women are in a cell and they're not
- 11:30Speaker 7: supposed to be housed.
- 11:31Speaker 17: In that cell.
- 11:32Speaker 11: Everything I was doing, other inmates were doing. But you
- 11:35Speaker 11: know what, they was so focused on me because I
- 11:37Speaker 11: was the only boy, girl, whatever you want to call it,
- 11:40Speaker 11: that was there. The attention was always drawn on Franklin.
- 11:45Speaker 1: PREA is a federal law, but this doesn't stop the
- 11:48Speaker 1: inmates from having relationships.
- 11:51Speaker 18: PRIA is a protection which preas then for protection rate,
- 11:56Speaker 18: prison rate action something. Yeah, prison rape elimination, but nobody rape.
- 12:06Speaker 4: It was Lily can't.
- 12:11Speaker 7: A lot of the women if they do claim to
- 12:13Speaker 7: be in a relationship and they say, you know that
- 12:16Speaker 7: it was consensual on both sides, it is still against
- 12:19Speaker 7: our policy. And that is still a situation that involves Priya.
- 12:23Speaker 7: So we do not allow any relationships in our facility.
- 12:27Speaker 7: We just like to keep boundaries and to prevent any
- 12:30Speaker 7: assault or harassment from happening.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Most of them are gay.
- 12:34Speaker 11: For this day, they come in here, they gay at
- 12:37Speaker 11: the gate, they leave right at the gate, they go
- 12:39Speaker 11: right back to a regular dude.
- 12:41Speaker 19: Like when you're in a relationship and you're finding your
- 12:43Speaker 19: time with another woman, they call it catching wreck, just
- 12:47Speaker 19: like you go have wreck time. So that's what they
- 12:49Speaker 19: call it. That's the slang word for it. Now with
- 12:53Speaker 19: Franklin being in there, there's so many girls that are
- 12:55Speaker 19: on him he likes to be called him, that are
- 12:59Speaker 19: on him that you just stand back. He's a little player.
- 13:06Speaker 11: There's a there's a difference between loyalty and faithfulness. That's
- 13:09Speaker 11: two different things.
- 13:10Speaker 1: I'm loyal, but I'm.
- 13:11Speaker 11: Not faithful, which because there's a there's a fine line
- 13:20Speaker 11: in between I'm gonna fuck whatever.
- 13:22Speaker 9: Bitch I want to fuck with.
- 13:23Speaker 11: Bro I say, you can have a wife and sandwiches.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Relationships between the inmates are brand in the jail, but
- 13:45Speaker 1: it seems you can't make laws about love.
- 13:49Speaker 8: Being in jail is definitely like a freaking school soap
- 13:55Speaker 8: obara drama thing.
- 14:03Speaker 11: So in three B there's there's there's a few people
- 14:08Speaker 11: that like me, but there's only a couple that was
- 14:11Speaker 11: arguing back and forth over me.
- 14:13Speaker 19: When Franklin first got into the pod. He was attracted
- 14:18Speaker 19: to Jackie.
- 14:21Speaker 11: You know, Jackie butt a god.
- 14:24Speaker 19: And then her attitude is think she has a bad attitude.
- 14:30Speaker 19: She always looks mad. She's just throwing shade at other
- 14:34Speaker 19: people that Franklin is interested in.
- 14:39Speaker 11: So I was getting to know Jackie and you know,
- 14:42Speaker 11: we was vibing with each other. Everything was good, but
- 14:45Speaker 11: like certain ways that she has too, Like we used
- 14:47Speaker 11: to always clash heads because like she's jealous. She doesn't
- 14:50Speaker 11: like me talking to certain people. And it's like, you're
- 14:52Speaker 11: not gonna tell me what I'm not gonna do.
- 14:54Speaker 10: I'm not gonna call this cunch with this.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Girl she means.
- 14:58Speaker 11: She means easy, n Yo, you don't like possessive people,
- 15:02Speaker 11: like I don't like that shit. Jackie, Like she gets
- 15:09Speaker 11: mad about everything.
- 15:10Speaker 9: She always wants to argue, like I'm not.
- 15:12Speaker 11: With all that shit. So that's why I kind of
- 15:16Speaker 11: fell back from her.
- 15:18Speaker 19: And then Franklin started gravitating towards India.
- 15:22Speaker 11: You buging, I'm on the lower right now, trying to
- 15:28Speaker 11: I gotta chill.
- 15:29Speaker 7: Melisa Rojas now her nickname is India Miss Rojas. It's
- 15:36Speaker 7: hard to even find the words to explain her. To
- 15:39Speaker 7: be honest, with you.
- 15:41Speaker 8: Everybody calls me India because they say it look like Pocahontas.
- 15:47Speaker 7: She is quite the entertainer in the pod, to say
- 15:50Speaker 7: the least. She likes to usually always be done up,
- 15:53Speaker 7: her hair's usually done. She won't come out of her
- 15:55Speaker 7: room until it is done.
- 15:57Speaker 20: Joe House curls.
- 16:01Speaker 21: India is.
- 16:04Speaker 19: She's chippery, She's she's a cutie, so she knows she
- 16:08Speaker 19: looks good. She you know, shakes her butt up the stairs,
- 16:12Speaker 19: whips her hair. She's cute, she's attractive.
- 16:16Speaker 8: All my friends describe me as crazy, out of control,
- 16:21Speaker 8: she's stubborn or like they think I'm a bitch sometimes
- 16:24Speaker 8: and I'm bougie.
- 16:24Speaker 9: I'm not.
- 16:28Speaker 1: India.
- 16:28Speaker 11: I kind of did like India when I first got here,
- 16:31Speaker 11: But seeing the way she carries herself and seeing the
- 16:33Speaker 11: way she acts it to turn off to me.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna play it cool.
- 16:36Speaker 8: Yeah, I love your baby, even though I love you
- 16:39Speaker 8: alright between and fringing, there is no romance. It's a
- 16:42Speaker 8: jail thing, you know what I'm saying, Like, I don't
- 16:45Speaker 8: think it's like a real real romance. And I'm not
- 16:49Speaker 8: going to the hole for Prio. Yeah, that's like thirty
- 16:54Speaker 8: days and that's crazy, Like, no, that's not where it is.
- 16:59Speaker 1: It doesn't look like things are going anywhere for Franklin
- 17:02Speaker 1: with Jackie or India. So for now, there's no jail
- 17:05Speaker 1: romance in freebe Heroin Addict Vanessa is eight months pregnant.
- 17:18Speaker 1: She was devastated not to be able to go onto
- 17:20Speaker 1: a drug treatment program after her most recent call appearance.
- 17:25Speaker 13: Right now, I'm just waiting for a letter from the
- 17:29Speaker 13: program and also documentation of my transportation because that Sporsley
- 17:34Speaker 13: has been set up. Everything's been set up, but it
- 17:36Speaker 13: hasn't been documentedly set up. So I'm just waiting for
- 17:40Speaker 13: these last little things and I'm so anxious and I'm
- 17:42Speaker 13: scared because I want them to come through.
- 17:44Speaker 1: All she knows that if she has to have her
- 17:47Speaker 1: baby in jail, she's likely to lose custody. She's already
- 17:51Speaker 1: had to give up her other two children to foster
- 17:54Speaker 1: care and adoption.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Yours came for her association.
- 18:04Speaker 10: Thank you, Hi have Vanessa.
- 18:11Speaker 4: So what did I do?
- 18:13Speaker 22: What good news? The program sent over the verification letter.
- 18:18Speaker 22: Oh yeah, I did call the intake coordinator, Sharina, because
- 18:23Speaker 22: I was wondering about this part where it says upon
- 18:25Speaker 22: release and she said that they're holding it for your
- 18:27Speaker 22: court date. Okay, that's your confirmation letter. It's for real,
- 18:31Speaker 22: it's thank you, We're welcome.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Vanessa has her official confirmation, but she can't leave until
- 18:40Speaker 1: a court date in a week's time.
- 18:43Speaker 13: I can have the baby there, definitely bring like hid
- 18:47Speaker 13: home with me, be able to be a mom instead
- 18:51Speaker 13: of having the title, actually handle the title and do
- 18:53Speaker 13: the title.
- 18:54Speaker 15: I love her, I do.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I'm excited.
- 18:57Speaker 13: I didn't want to cry then when I first got it,
- 18:58Speaker 13: but I don't cry in front of people's so it's
- 19:00Speaker 13: it's like kind of hard. But at the same time,
- 19:02Speaker 13: it's just like I thank God so much. Like I
- 19:04Speaker 13: was just in my room like the minute I got
- 19:06Speaker 13: when I was putting away, and I was like thank
- 19:07Speaker 13: you God, like, thank you got so much for the opportunity.
- 19:09Speaker 13: I just I just actually can't wait to start doing it.
- 19:11Speaker 13: That's the point where it's just like I'm tired.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I'm tired of this DM jail.
- 19:15Speaker 13: I'm tired of being around the same freaking people. Because
- 19:17Speaker 13: this's the point where it was like, just get me
- 19:18Speaker 13: out of here, just get me to this program. So
- 19:20Speaker 13: I'm looking excited. I'm grateful too.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Twenty five year old India is a waiting trial for
- 19:29Speaker 1: drug trafficking. She has two children who she hasn't seen
- 19:33Speaker 1: in six months.
- 19:35Speaker 21: I give.
- 19:39Speaker 8: Tempering gardenship to my mom because I knew I was
- 19:43Speaker 8: gonna go to jail, and it was a good thing
- 19:49Speaker 8: I did, because they would have took my kids away
- 19:53Speaker 8: and I didn't know.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I'm putting on too that many of the women's children
- 19:56Speaker 1: are being looked after by family members, Otherwise they could
- 19:59Speaker 1: be taken into care by the Department of Children and
- 20:02Speaker 1: Families known as dc F.
- 20:05Speaker 8: I seen them six months.
- 20:09Speaker 9: It's been a long time.
- 20:12Speaker 1: India's mother looks after her two kids and she wants
- 20:15Speaker 1: her to bring them for a visit and.
- 20:18Speaker 20: Is still way how little stuck that I'm scared to
- 20:23Speaker 20: have more kids because I'm fucked up. If I have
- 20:26Speaker 20: more kids, my mom's not going to take more kids now.
- 20:31Speaker 20: My mom's gonna be like, are you fucking She told me.
- 20:33Speaker 11: She always tells me when I get a boyfriend, She's like,
- 20:35Speaker 11: you better get a surgery done or something, because I'm
- 20:37Speaker 11: not taking care of.
- 20:38Speaker 1: No born kids.
- 20:38Speaker 7: I'm too old.
- 20:39Speaker 19: My yeah is taking care.
- 20:40Speaker 4: Of my day.
- 20:42Speaker 20: He's sixty kills My mom had my son when he
- 20:45Speaker 20: when he turned one, she took them. They have nine
- 20:47Speaker 20: kids for a while because I got locked.
- 20:49Speaker 4: Up in twenty fourteen.
- 20:51Speaker 8: Okay, but so so she's been raising over me about
- 20:55Speaker 8: right right.
- 20:56Speaker 9: I don't like bring them here.
- 20:59Speaker 10: It's not.
- 21:01Speaker 8: A place where I want 'em to see me.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I'm scared.
- 21:06Speaker 8: I'm'na see I'm gonna missen this.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Bring at least one of one. Bring my oldest.
- 21:12Speaker 1: And did d you notice what it's like to visit
- 21:14Speaker 1: a parent in jail.
- 21:15Speaker 8: I think we were like when I was like six,
- 21:17Speaker 8: my mom went to jail for trafficking. I don't know,
- 21:20Speaker 8: like what was gonna happen where she was. I think
- 21:25Speaker 8: we wanna visit her a couple times. But my father
- 21:27Speaker 8: wasn't like really against it, cause I remember it wasn't
- 21:30Speaker 8: like here here we have contact visits. I remember I
- 21:32Speaker 8: had a w.
- 21:33Speaker 9: Uh glass ah.
- 21:35Speaker 8: I try to tell myself I'm not but I'm definitely
- 21:38Speaker 8: I'm like my mother. I always like, I'm not gonna
- 21:41Speaker 8: be like her runa girl or won't be different, but no,
- 21:45Speaker 8: definitely like my mother, Like I learned to accept it,
- 21:48Speaker 8: like yo, everything.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Her mother was agreed to bring India's daughter to visit
- 21:55Speaker 1: her in a week's time.
- 21:56Speaker 8: I know it's gonna be very emotional. I'm gonna cry
- 21:59Speaker 8: this one I see her. I'm not gonna want to
- 22:01Speaker 8: help it. Oh okay, now just thinking.
- 22:03Speaker 11: About it, like, oh my god, it.
- 22:06Speaker 8: Makes me so happy. So am I'm gonna be an
- 22:10Speaker 8: emotional day for me. I'm excited, though, can we?
- 22:28Speaker 1: As a recent arrival, Franklin has to attain Transitions, an
- 22:33Speaker 1: introductory class into all the educational programs at the jail.
- 22:38Speaker 1: It's also the only place where pre trialing orange and
- 22:41Speaker 1: sentenced in green get to mix.
- 22:44Speaker 4: Where do you want me to shut up?
- 22:46Speaker 11: The first time I saw Leslie was the first day
- 22:50Speaker 11: I want to transition and I was in the back
- 22:52Speaker 11: of the class. So Leslie turned around and was like, yeah, Frankly,
- 22:56Speaker 11: come sit right here, and it's like damn, I'm like why.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Good morning? This is transitions. Welcome to Transitions. Transition is
- 23:05Speaker 4: a mandatory class.
- 23:06Speaker 11: We was doing like a she in our workbook and
- 23:09Speaker 11: then she slid it to me to coffee and after that,
- 23:14Speaker 11: like we didn't we didn't say anything. When we left,
- 23:30Speaker 11: I had left the doors slam behind me cause I
- 23:32Speaker 11: didn't know she was behind me and I turned around.
- 23:33Speaker 11: I was like, oh, my fault, and she's like, yeah,
- 23:35Speaker 11: it is your fault, my fault. I was like, alright,
- 23:43Speaker 11: let me see where this schoes with this shorty.
- 23:46Speaker 19: After Franklin went to transitions, he met another girl, Leslie,
- 23:52Speaker 19: and he likes her. That's the one he's most interested in.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Yo.
- 23:58Speaker 7: She is.
- 24:02Speaker 12: Damn that ship.
- 24:03Speaker 8: Yo.
- 24:03Speaker 11: I'm getting in every class she goes to, We're getting
- 24:06Speaker 11: in the same class. She's cute. That's my type of
- 24:09Speaker 11: shorty right there. If she was on this unic I
- 24:11Speaker 11: wouldn't deal with nobody. I wouldn't even sit close to nobody, Yo.
- 24:18Speaker 11: She is the definition of it that. Oh my god,
- 24:22Speaker 11: thank you Jesus. We're going back later, girl. I can't wait.
- 24:26Speaker 11: I'm like me be the first one in class. I'm
- 24:32Speaker 11: gonna be the first one in class. Yop, I'm gonna
- 24:35Speaker 11: be the first one in fucking class today. I tell you.
- 24:38Speaker 16: That's all.
- 24:47Speaker 1: In segregation. Officer Za Looky is investigating Baby Deep for
- 24:52Speaker 1: her role in the fight at breakfast.
- 24:54Speaker 7: We're gonna do your investigation, okay, Victoria IDAs will have
- 24:58Speaker 7: a lot to say. I'm sure to incriminate the other
- 25:01Speaker 7: one and not herself. Am already we're gonna go to
- 25:03Speaker 7: Donut's office. Okay, I mean Diaz. She knows we have
- 25:06Speaker 7: footage of it. I'm sure she's already come up with
- 25:09Speaker 7: a reason as to why she hart truck it in
- 25:12Speaker 7: the physical altercation. Right, have a seat over in that corner,
- 25:18Speaker 7: anxious to see what.
- 25:19Speaker 11: Her reasoning is.
- 25:20Speaker 10: Let skin your idea.
- 25:21Speaker 7: This is just her signature saying that you're here.
- 25:25Speaker 9: Went to breakfast to her and some other girl on
- 25:28Speaker 9: my table was arguing or whatever, like exchanging words, and
- 25:32Speaker 9: she started cussing at me. We started like arguing back
- 25:35Speaker 9: and forth. She turned around, threw her milk.
- 25:36Speaker 4: I stood up. She stood up and started fighting.
- 25:40Speaker 7: I will say this.
- 25:41Speaker 4: You know how childish child this sounds.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Yeah, you know you were.
- 25:44Speaker 10: All grown when.
- 25:45Speaker 4: That's why I left her alone.
- 25:47Speaker 13: I left it alone.
- 25:47Speaker 4: But she drew her milk at me.
- 25:49Speaker 9: Like, as long as you don't throw nothing at me
- 25:51Speaker 9: or like try to hit me.
- 25:52Speaker 4: I'm not gonna try to fight you.
- 25:54Speaker 9: She threw something at me. I was gonna leave it
- 25:55Speaker 9: just as words, but she wanted to go ahead and
- 25:57Speaker 9: start throwing stuff at me.
- 25:58Speaker 7: So I got her and it was just punches there
- 26:00Speaker 7: any scratching or kicking.
- 26:01Speaker 9: No, I'm going with them. I just punished her. Is
- 26:06Speaker 9: she really good a gain in Kingo?
- 26:08Speaker 7: I'm all set for right now. So that one was
- 26:14Speaker 7: good because we got to at least get to the
- 26:16Speaker 7: bottom a little bit. Diaz seems to always have a
- 26:18Speaker 7: problem with someone coming in there.
- 26:21Speaker 4: She seems to be the rule of.
- 26:22Speaker 7: A lot of issues, and she wants to run kind
- 26:27Speaker 7: of what goes on in there, in which we obviously
- 26:29Speaker 7: will not what happened.
- 26:30Speaker 1: As well as trying to intimidate the new arrivals. Baby
- 26:34Speaker 1: D had previously forced inmate Crystal Logo into segregation for
- 26:39Speaker 1: her own protection.
- 26:40Speaker 21: I'm here in protective custods to stay away from Diez,
- 26:44Speaker 21: and now she's here, she's inside.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Twenty Crystal was forced into segregation when the jail became
- 26:52Speaker 1: concerned that a hit may have been taken out on
- 26:55Speaker 1: her by a notorious street gang, of which Baby D
- 26:59Speaker 1: is allegedly. It means.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Exactly what it sounds like.
- 27:07Speaker 9: I guess, like, if they put out a hit on somebody,
- 27:12Speaker 9: you're either well, since she's in jail, obviously she can't
- 27:15Speaker 9: get killed in jail, you know what I mean? But
- 27:18Speaker 9: she was going to get beat up to a point
- 27:20Speaker 9: of well, SOLASI always came and saved her.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Crystal is facing a number of different charges.
- 27:27Speaker 21: Kidnapping and three assault and batteries with dangerous weapons, assault,
- 27:33Speaker 21: and intimidation of a witness.
- 27:37Speaker 22: Authorities today calling the scenario and organized torture chamber.
- 27:42Speaker 4: An unidentified teenager from New Jersey.
- 27:44Speaker 17: Taped to a chair in the basement of a home
- 27:46Speaker 17: in Massachusetts.
- 27:48Speaker 15: A machete was held at the victim's neck at the
- 27:50Speaker 15: direction of Crystal, and Crystal told the victim that if
- 27:54Speaker 15: she lied or continued to lie, they would hold the
- 27:56Speaker 15: machete closer to her neck.
- 27:58Speaker 17: She told police that about eight people, four of them
- 28:01Speaker 17: in court Wednesday, stood around her as she was tied
- 28:04Speaker 17: to a chair, burned with a cigarette, and her head
- 28:07Speaker 17: was shaved. All of it retaliation for what she told
- 28:10Speaker 17: officers was a home invasion that they believed she had
- 28:14Speaker 17: set up.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Crystal.
- 28:15Speaker 9: Her charge was, are against my little sister.
- 28:18Speaker 4: I can't be around her.
- 28:19Speaker 9: They could have moved her, They could have moved Crystal
- 28:21Speaker 9: to three V or something like that, but they caught
- 28:26Speaker 9: when about a couple of girls from my city, A
- 28:31Speaker 9: couple of girls from like you know, the gang that
- 28:33Speaker 9: I'm in or whatever, that they're gonna come down here
- 28:35Speaker 9: and they have a price on her head, so they
- 28:37Speaker 9: put her. They told her about it, and either they
- 28:39Speaker 9: made her come here or she asked to be in here.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Baby Day has told the child that Crystal's alleged victim
- 28:46Speaker 1: was her gang sister.
- 28:48Speaker 9: She burned cigarettes on her and call her hair around
- 28:51Speaker 9: because she thought she she thought my sister sent boys
- 28:55Speaker 9: to her house and like set her up.
- 28:57Speaker 4: But my sister is only thirteen.
- 29:00Speaker 11: She didn't do that.
- 29:01Speaker 9: It was her friend that did that. Her friend did it,
- 29:03Speaker 9: and her friend left her there. So since they couldn't
- 29:06Speaker 9: get so, my sister's friend, Crystal held my sister hostage
- 29:11Speaker 9: and did all that crazy shit.
- 29:14Speaker 21: The game is the one who did the home invasion
- 29:17Speaker 21: on us. But I don't know if Diaz has anything
- 29:20Speaker 21: to do with it.
- 29:26Speaker 10: Let's not exactly.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Crystal as for a meeting with counselor Page to see
- 29:31Speaker 1: if she can safely be moved back to Pod three
- 29:33Speaker 1: eight now that Baby d is also in segregation.
- 29:42Speaker 4: Did you see them upstairs?
- 29:45Speaker 10: I did, Yes, I did.
- 29:46Speaker 4: She wanted how that's gonna play out for you?
- 29:48Speaker 21: Now she's here, so wouldn't it make more sensible way
- 29:51Speaker 21: back to through it?
- 29:52Speaker 10: That's not reasonable.
- 29:53Speaker 4: But yeah, I don't know.
- 29:55Speaker 10: I don't know how that's gonna play out.
- 29:56Speaker 4: It was made such a big deal when they wanted
- 29:59Speaker 4: to move.
- 29:59Speaker 10: Me, I thought, get you back three eight or three
- 30:02Speaker 10: as will do her time here and then she'll.
- 30:05Speaker 4: Have to figure out where it got.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Leslie caught the eye of pre trial inmate Franklin in
- 30:19Speaker 1: a transitions class. She's housed in two B apart for
- 30:23Speaker 1: prisoners who have been found guilty and deserving their sentence.
- 30:32Speaker 2: I'm lovely riverta and I'm sentenced this sentenced for a
- 30:39Speaker 2: salt and battery.
- 30:41Speaker 1: She was found guilty of attacking her friend, who she
- 30:44Speaker 1: believed had slept with her then boyfriend.
- 30:46Speaker 2: I guess I beat her up pretty badly. When I
- 30:50Speaker 2: fought her, I was I blacked out. I suffer from
- 30:55Speaker 2: anger problems and PTSD, so when I blacked out, I
- 31:02Speaker 2: happened to break her eyepocket and break her nose. When
- 31:14Speaker 2: I came out of my blackout stage, I felt like
- 31:17Speaker 2: I heard a cat being run over. That's what it
- 31:24Speaker 2: sounded like. And when I was coming out of it,
- 31:28Speaker 2: all I could see is my whole hands and my
- 31:30Speaker 2: whole shirt filled with blood.
- 31:32Speaker 4: It's pretty bad.
- 31:37Speaker 2: They wanted to sentence me to two years and a
- 31:42Speaker 2: half and instead I got Instead, I copped out to
- 31:45Speaker 2: six months with two years of probation.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Leslie has been into b for nearly three weeks, but
- 31:55Speaker 1: she's yet to find a roommate she gets on with.
- 31:58Speaker 2: I personally don't like at it because my biological mom
- 32:01Speaker 2: was an addict, and of this jail is added.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Leslie's current roommate is an addict.
- 32:08Speaker 2: She wants me out, so instead of staying in the
- 32:11Speaker 2: room and continue to argue.
- 32:14Speaker 4: I think it's best for me to leave. Let me
- 32:16Speaker 4: hear it, alright.
- 32:17Speaker 23: So basically with Rivera, she seems not to get along
- 32:22Speaker 23: with other inmates, so what idea was just move her
- 32:27Speaker 23: from basically from twenty two to nineteen. There's a lot
- 32:33Speaker 23: of stuff that goes into account when I'm doing this
- 32:36Speaker 23: to your sheep, which is you know, enemies relationships, that's
- 32:47Speaker 23: you know, sexual misconduct stuff. And if they have admitted
- 32:55Speaker 23: to trying uh to commit suicide in the last year,
- 32:59Speaker 23: then they have to be in the lower tiers, so
- 33:03Speaker 23: I have to who got all of that? So it's
- 33:06Speaker 23: a constant moment, moving people, probably like three or four
- 33:09Speaker 23: times a day, just to get everybody.
- 33:13Speaker 4: With the right roommate. I don't know, I'll take this
- 33:20Speaker 4: gun something.
- 33:21Speaker 1: I have to avoid conflict. Women get moved around the
- 33:25Speaker 1: port frequently, but Legley has found it particularly difficult to settle.
- 33:30Speaker 2: We got abandoned from my biological mom because she was
- 33:33Speaker 2: addicted to crack, and so my whole life, I didn't
- 33:38Speaker 2: like anybody that did crack. I didn't like anybody that
- 33:41Speaker 2: was a dragon addict because I see them as irresponsible people.
- 33:47Speaker 12: Sure, my kid's father, he passed away. He owed the
- 33:53Speaker 12: four bags and a shot of fucking coke. And I'm
- 33:56Speaker 12: supposed to be in a room with an attic that
- 33:58Speaker 12: shoots coke and dope and I'm supposed to feel bad
- 34:01Speaker 12: and feel sympathy. No, I'm going through my own shit.
- 34:04Speaker 12: I dealt with that life. She says, Oh, you don't
- 34:10Speaker 12: choose to be an added, You're actually an added at birth.
- 34:12Speaker 4: If that was true, I would be a crack hut.
- 34:15Speaker 4: Why cause my biological mom was a crackhead.
- 34:18Speaker 12: She used crack the whole time she was pregnant by me,
- 34:22Speaker 12: Am I a crackhead?
- 34:23Speaker 4: No, I'm not a crackhut. Do I do crack?
- 34:25Speaker 8: No?
- 34:26Speaker 4: I don't do crack. Have I ever did crack?
- 34:28Speaker 21: No?
- 34:28Speaker 4: I didn't, don't do crack, and I will never do crack.
- 34:31Speaker 4: So no, we're not all addicts. She is an ad
- 34:34Speaker 4: it you.
- 34:37Speaker 12: Made, you made your bed, and I'll go fucking lie
- 34:39Speaker 12: in it.
- 34:46Speaker 1: It's Vanessa's last night in jail and she and friend
- 34:49Speaker 1: Carrie are getting their head done.
- 34:52Speaker 13: The girl that I am going to missis IgE. Gonna
- 34:54Speaker 13: suck because I know I'm probably gonna cry just a
- 34:55Speaker 13: little bit, a little bit, little bit, cause you know,
- 34:58Speaker 13: it's you get close with a lot of people here,
- 35:00Speaker 13: you really do, especially when you open up because a
- 35:02Speaker 13: lot of women are going through exactly what you're going through.
- 35:03Speaker 13: You just don't know what you want to be a
- 35:04Speaker 13: mother and start talking. So it's just like, and I
- 35:07Speaker 13: met a lot of really good women in here.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Vanessa has just one more sleep in jail with her
- 35:12Speaker 1: curls in before going to Colt, where she'll be transferred
- 35:16Speaker 1: to the drug treatment program next morning. She's selling her
- 35:29Speaker 1: final goodbyes.
- 35:31Speaker 13: All right, I love you, give me hugs, I love you,
- 35:35Speaker 13: I love you at home.
- 35:36Speaker 4: I remember you got a week a week. Fuck these girls,
- 35:39Speaker 4: fuck this bullshit.
- 35:41Speaker 13: You can handle it. If I can handle it.
- 35:42Speaker 4: I love you too. Make sure you call my mom.
- 35:44Speaker 8: Okay.
- 35:44Speaker 5: I really hope this child changes her life for the
- 35:47Speaker 5: better because she's a great person with a great heart.
- 35:50Speaker 5: People look at her and you know, look down on
- 35:52Speaker 5: her because she is a mother and an addict, and
- 35:55Speaker 5: you can only change for yourself. You can't want to
- 35:59Speaker 5: get clean for anybody but yourself. You know, she wants
- 36:01Speaker 5: it this time, So I really hope she gets her
- 36:03Speaker 5: kids back. I hope this, you know, she gets to
- 36:05Speaker 5: keep this child, and I hope she just is happy.
- 36:08Speaker 4: I want her to be happy.
- 36:11Speaker 13: Yeah, let's do this same bus body bus yep yep
- 36:17Speaker 13: is with it. This is not just for me to
- 36:19Speaker 13: get clean. This is like literally a whole brand new
- 36:22Speaker 13: start for me. I want it, like deep inside me.
- 36:24Speaker 13: So I'm like, I just want a different life. Like
- 36:26Speaker 13: I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired. No,
- 36:28Speaker 13: I'm like beyond being sick and tired of being sick
- 36:29Speaker 13: and tired. Like I hate living the way that I
- 36:32Speaker 13: was living, and like I was looking for happiness in
- 36:35Speaker 13: all the wrong places.
- 36:38Speaker 7: A lot of the times when the women leave jail,
- 36:41Speaker 7: they do relapse. I mean some of them just that day. Unfortunately,
- 36:45Speaker 7: the rate of relapse is very high, which in turn,
- 36:49Speaker 7: you know, causes a lot of overdoses because when they
- 36:52Speaker 7: do leave the jail, their tolerance level has decreased because
- 36:55Speaker 7: they've been incarcerated. So a lot of them will use
- 36:58Speaker 7: the same amount as they were using before being arrested,
- 37:02Speaker 7: and that's what a lot of time, unfortunately causes a
- 37:05Speaker 7: lot of overdose.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Vanessa is being given another chance. It's now up to
- 37:11Speaker 1: her whether she can change her life. Otherwise her child
- 37:18Speaker 1: could be taken away, as she could find herself back
- 37:21Speaker 1: in jail. Three bees in lockdown, but twenty five year
- 37:29Speaker 1: old suspected drug trafficker India is expecting a visit from
- 37:33Speaker 1: her mum and daughter. So far, there's no word as
- 37:37Speaker 1: to whether they've arrived here.
- 37:40Speaker 4: Tell her, I want to speak to use, Yes, I
- 37:45Speaker 4: want to know. Well, I thank you. I will find
- 37:50Speaker 4: out if you're visits here.
- 37:51Speaker 8: I thought because we were locked in that we had
- 37:54Speaker 8: no visits, like the whole party was like on lockdown,
- 37:56Speaker 8: deadlock because if we're deadlight, I'm going to miss my
- 37:58Speaker 8: freaking visit like I've been here for six months. I
- 38:02Speaker 8: haven't seen my kid in six months.
- 38:04Speaker 14: No, it's only eight eleven. She's talking dealing with their situation.
- 38:07Speaker 14: Now this is in at nine thirty, so you should
- 38:10Speaker 14: be alright. She still bake the phone call, see what's
- 38:13Speaker 14: going on.
- 38:14Speaker 4: Luckily Marna was there.
- 38:17Speaker 8: She like kind of got me to calm down.
- 38:19Speaker 18: Yeah, I know.
- 38:20Speaker 8: It was pretty cool, you know, a like she kind
- 38:21Speaker 8: of did go out her way. I really do appreciate
- 38:23Speaker 8: that for her to like ask, why sure if I
- 38:25Speaker 8: could call to see where my visit was.
- 38:27Speaker 14: There's a phone in a multie if you can speak,
- 38:29Speaker 14: is there?
- 38:30Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 38:30Speaker 1: Is there a out?
- 38:31Speaker 14: Can you see if the line is open, cause then
- 38:33Speaker 14: we can get out of your way.
- 38:35Speaker 16: I'm up.
- 38:38Speaker 14: Alright, Hi, this is Officer Martin at the Women's jib. Hi,
- 38:45Speaker 14: this is the officer here. I have a call from Eliza. Yes,
- 38:49Speaker 14: are you accepting the call? Okay, hold on one second
- 38:52Speaker 14: please and just peak speak English for me, please, okay,

- 39:05Speaker 9: The cat me go in.
- 39:06Speaker 4: You didn't let you go in CA.
- 39:08Speaker 7: They you let me go BECA.
- 39:09Speaker 4: That won't worry y'all. Sugar or I don't hear the
- 39:12Speaker 4: droller jog or how think on when they.
- 39:14Speaker 9: Need there and then then let me well, then let
- 39:17Speaker 9: they let me in.
- 39:17Speaker 14: People I have snugger pans if they're athletic where they
- 39:21Speaker 14: won't allow you in.
- 39:22Speaker 6: So you know, I know, but she can't wear sweatpants.
- 39:27Speaker 21: I haven't.
- 39:30Speaker 4: Who are see my kids?
- 39:33Speaker 9: I know?
- 39:39Speaker 8: And it's shit like that, the like that makes it
- 39:41Speaker 8: makes me mad, but like more at myself than anything
- 39:44Speaker 8: because I put myself in the situation and I put
- 39:49Speaker 8: like putting myself here, put some in a tough spot too.
- 39:53Speaker 4: You know, go into your room.
- 39:56Speaker 14: This is not gonna be the day to be out,
- 39:58Speaker 14: do you hear me? Cause if you stay out, you
- 40:00Speaker 14: know what's gonna happen.
- 40:04Speaker 2: So I couldn't help it.
- 40:05Speaker 8: Like I broke down because like that's the only thing
- 40:08Speaker 8: that I could really get to me as my kids
- 40:11Speaker 8: and just to think that, you know, my daughter was
- 40:13Speaker 8: so excited like so I just feel like, damn, I
- 40:16Speaker 8: broke her heart.
- 40:17Speaker 14: You know, I want you to be able to express
- 40:19Speaker 14: yourself appropriately and then go through your emotions appropriately.
- 40:23Speaker 10: I don't want you out here dealing with people.
- 40:25Speaker 8: Okay, I had so many plans, like I wanna ask
- 40:31Speaker 8: her so many questions, and I just see how long
- 40:34Speaker 8: her hair was, and like her tell me about her
- 40:38Speaker 8: new friends, and and I get more mad out myself
- 40:44Speaker 8: because I've been through this with my mom. I have
- 40:51Speaker 8: to break the cycle. I really pretty God my daughter
- 40:55Speaker 8: doesn't turn out like that. I don't care why. I
- 40:59Speaker 8: will tell her every day like.
- 41:02Speaker 4: You don't want to go do this.
- 41:04Speaker 8: I just don't want her to feel the way I
- 41:06Speaker 8: feel right now. I feel like a lose her, like
- 41:10Speaker 8: like an asshole.
- 41:26Speaker 1: Crystal Logo and Baby D are still in segregation. Baby
- 41:31Speaker 1: D is there for fighting, but Crystal is there for
- 41:34Speaker 1: her own protection. Crystal wants to move back to post
- 41:38Speaker 1: three eight now that her enemy Baby D is in
- 41:41Speaker 1: sec but the officers are still concerned that there's allegedly
- 41:46Speaker 1: a hit out on her.
- 41:48Speaker 10: We're concerned about somebody getting hurt or possibly somebody getting killed.
- 41:51Speaker 10: You know, if she holds.
- 41:54Speaker 9: Back to three A, then that's more at risk of
- 41:57Speaker 9: you know, her getting touched, then someone can someone can
- 42:00Speaker 9: come in and still touch her. She has to be
- 42:02Speaker 9: in PC. The threat's pretty real.
- 42:06Speaker 1: The victim in Crystal's case was Baby Day's gang's sister.
- 42:11Speaker 9: She's she's discussing, she's a discussed in prison as a
- 42:14Speaker 9: matter of who gets her first.
- 42:19Speaker 10: It was decided today and I believe it came from administration.
- 42:21Speaker 10: It probably came from the superintendent Patty to transfer Crystal
- 42:26Speaker 10: out of the facility. Sometimes it's about precaution. Sometimes it's
- 42:30Speaker 10: just taking precautions just in anticipation of what might happen.
- 42:34Speaker 6: Okay, right now, you're.
- 42:35Speaker 24: Gonna be transferred to another facility for your protection, all right,
- 42:40Speaker 24: So when when you get on the road, we let
- 42:42Speaker 24: you know where you're going, Okay, but at this time,
- 42:44Speaker 24: well not let me tell you.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Okay.
- 42:48Speaker 6: Well, I think you kind of knew this was coming
- 42:49Speaker 6: a little bit though, you know, all right, But it's
- 42:51Speaker 6: for your safety. We're looking out for you.
- 42:59Speaker 16: Well, get to trial units here, so there's only so
- 43:01Speaker 16: much we can do to keep you safe.
- 43:03Speaker 4: So the only way for you to go into general
- 43:05Speaker 4: population is to remove you from the situation. You haven't
- 43:09Speaker 4: done anything wrong here. It just feel so comfortable here.
- 43:13Speaker 16: What comfortable doesn't mean necessarily mean good When you go there,
- 43:17Speaker 16: do not share your charges in you in your personal
- 43:19Speaker 16: information with people in the unit, because then what's gonna happen,
- 43:23Speaker 16: you're gonna be in the same predicament that you're in
- 43:25Speaker 16: right now.
- 43:26Speaker 4: The situation is what it is, okay, m.
- 43:29Speaker 10: The NAID knows they're being moved, they can make trouble
- 43:32Speaker 10: and they barricade themselves in. So it's best just trying
- 43:34Speaker 10: to keep them out of surprise. And that's why it's
- 43:36Speaker 10: always done at.
- 43:36Speaker 5: The last minute.
- 43:41Speaker 10: It happens very very quickly and very very quietly.
- 43:47Speaker 9: I don't know if they move there so I can't hear,
- 43:50Speaker 9: or if she left for left from Core or what.
- 43:54Speaker 9: But I don't know. I'll find out, though.
- 43:58Speaker 7: I don't.
- 44:00Speaker 9: Everybody talks for Christ said, this is a woman's jail. Women.
- 44:03Speaker 9: The best thing that women do is gossip. I'm gonna
- 44:09Speaker 9: know one day.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Next time, do you feel like.
- 44:19Speaker 4: You're going to harm yourself?
- 44:23Speaker 7: She said, I love you, and that was the last
- 44:25Speaker 7: time I heard her voice.
- 44:28Speaker 4: So you know I'm gonna be moving into segregation, correct
- 44:30Speaker 4: her
