- 1:56Speaker 2: an hour and twenty minute interview with that vampire host
- 2:00Speaker 2: to I really like and apparently she talks a lot
- 2:04Speaker 2: about a lot of things in the family from her childhood.
- 2:09Speaker 2: She goes even deeper than her other interview. We're talking
- 2:13Speaker 2: about how she was parented, some of the punishments she received,
- 2:20Speaker 2: some of the traumatic experiences she had, and how she
- 2:24Speaker 2: was treated when she tried to get some help. And

- 3:02Speaker 2: and also cap in the pit and try to love
- 3:04Speaker 2: someone and hype us up.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Please.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Every single thing you do allegedly helps us in that algorithm,
- 3:11Speaker 2: and so any you in think you now before we
- 3:17Speaker 2: get into our recap, I have to ask you whether
- 3:20Speaker 2: you had any thoughts, any feelings, any takeaways.
- 3:23Speaker 3: I have two takeaways. One of them is going to
- 3:25Speaker 3: be uncensored because it's a little offensive.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Okay, those are the best ways.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Yes, it's a little mean. My first takeaway though, is
- 3:32Speaker 3: Robin is diabolical for having Mary announce her pregnancy. I
- 3:38Speaker 3: think that's crazy, and to do it at Mary's house too,
- 3:41Speaker 3: like is freaking wild.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Why do you think that's diabolical?
- 3:44Speaker 3: Because everybody knows that Mary wants to have another kid,
- 3:47Speaker 3: and then you know she was going back and forth
- 3:50Speaker 3: with it, and then Cody ultimately told her no because
- 3:52Speaker 3: he doesn't ever want to have to touch her Poonanni
- 3:54Speaker 3: ever again, because Poonani is the only one for him,
- 3:57Speaker 3: and so then it's just crazy to me. To have.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Robin asked, Mary, can you announce my pregnancy for me?
- 4:03Speaker 3: And can we also do it at your empty, hunted
- 4:07Speaker 3: only else with your sad, single person furniture, Like, I
- 4:12Speaker 3: don't know, I just think that's crazy.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that was pretty amazing. My takeaway before we get
- 4:16Speaker 2: to your offensive one, is that I was just aghast
- 4:20Speaker 2: and appalled that here we have Robin again using any
- 4:25Speaker 2: opportunity that she can to drag the elder kids for
- 4:29Speaker 2: not being jubilant with joy. When she announced her first
- 4:32Speaker 2: pregnancy with Solomon, she once again drags an Hunter because
- 4:38Speaker 2: she has something against Hunter, and again all the other
- 4:41Speaker 2: older children. And I'm just like, can you just can
- 4:43Speaker 2: we not make this all about your victimization and everything
- 4:48Speaker 2: that this family did wrong to you? Can we not
- 4:50Speaker 2: have a little bit of grace for the kids who
- 4:53Speaker 2: were snatched by night from their home in Lehigh, taken
- 4:57Speaker 2: away to Vegas and too at the time when you
- 4:59Speaker 2: announce this pregnancy, we're legitimately traumatized. Yeah, no, no, no,
- 5:04Speaker 2: We've got to focus on you're the victim.
- 5:06Speaker 3: That's crazy to me, And of course she wants to
- 5:09Speaker 3: be selfish and take the moment all for herself. I
- 5:12Speaker 3: hated that so much me as well, So that was
- 5:15Speaker 3: my takeaway. Okay, so now onto your offensive and I
- 5:19Speaker 3: guess we have to censor for patrons only takeaway, So
- 5:24Speaker 3: back from our uncensored portion of the pod, if you
- 5:27Speaker 3: want to be privy to anything that we say that
- 5:29Speaker 3: is truly uncensored, you've got to be a patron again
- 5:32Speaker 3: Patreon dot com.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Flash reality T BIGT. Okay, So, without further ado, let's
- 5:38Speaker 2: get into our recap of this episode's Sister Wives Season nine, episode.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Eight, Robin's big announcement.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Okay, sure, yeah, I've been calling it. I mean, yeah,
- 5:51Speaker 2: I've been seeing that marsupial pouch, that little baby Joey
- 5:54Speaker 2: growing in there.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Yeah, it's kind of hard to hide. So we start
- 5:58Speaker 3: the episode, of course at Robin because we are talking
- 6:02Speaker 3: about the adoption paperwork. So we have like Christine and
- 6:05Speaker 3: some of the other adults there. This is before they
- 6:07Speaker 3: go to the lawyer's office. The lawyer the lawyer's office,
- 6:10Speaker 3: and we learned that it's been a whole year since
- 6:14Speaker 3: Mary got her legal divorce. I thought that the whole
- 6:17Speaker 3: point of her getting a legal divorce was so that
- 6:20Speaker 3: they could immediately get married and file a paperwork. But no,
- 6:24Speaker 3: we waited a whole year. I don't think the adoption
- 6:26Speaker 3: process takes that long, especially with but I don't know.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Maybe why would they wait then, I don't know. Maybe
- 6:32Speaker 2: David Jessup or Preston was giving them a hard time
- 6:35Speaker 2: for quite some time.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Maybe, But they got the consent paperwork signed, and so
- 6:40Speaker 3: they're going to take this paperwork to the lawyer's office
- 6:43Speaker 3: to get it sent to the courts. That way they
- 6:45Speaker 3: can get a court date and ultimately finalize the adoption.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Of course, the adults are happy about it, although we
- 6:51Speaker 3: like panned to marry a couple times, and Mary's.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Just like, when can I get back in my tub?
- 6:56Speaker 2: I've got a banana waiting for bed.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Literally, I feel like she's so checked out.
- 7:01Speaker 2: She is.
- 7:01Speaker 3: She just doesn't care. Like she tries to feign some excitement,
- 7:05Speaker 3: but ultimately every time we ask her, she's like, yeah,
- 7:08Speaker 3: that's great, awesome, Can I go home? Police, And of
- 7:13Speaker 3: course we have to, you know, continue to make a
- 7:16Speaker 3: martyr out of everybody in the family and be like, oh,
- 7:18Speaker 3: but there's a chance that the courts will deny us
- 7:21Speaker 3: because we're polygamists. Because polygamists don't win custody battles. We
- 7:25Speaker 3: don't win adoption cases, and I'm like, oh, shut up, dude.
- 7:29Speaker 3: When we get to the ultimate court episode, it's totally
- 7:32Speaker 3: a nothing murger. But of course Robin stressed out about it.
- 7:35Speaker 3: So we head to the lawyer's office and the lawyer
- 7:37Speaker 3: is just chill. He's like, cool, got the paperwork, sign
- 7:41Speaker 3: some more shit for me, and I'll turn it into
- 7:43Speaker 3: the courts. And you know, we have like more of
- 7:46Speaker 3: a discussion about how important this is.
- 7:49Speaker 2: God, I don't care the family. I feel like we've
- 7:51Speaker 2: been talking about this exact thing and saying these exact
- 7:56Speaker 2: things over multiple.
- 7:58Speaker 3: We've been totally stretching it out for content, of course.
- 8:03Speaker 3: But while we're at the lawyer's office, we learned that
- 8:06Speaker 3: all three of the kids, Aurora, Dayton, and Brianna are
- 8:08Speaker 3: going to change their last names to Brown. But Dayton
- 8:11Speaker 3: wants to change his middle name because his name, his
- 8:15Speaker 3: legal name is David Preston whatever, and yeah, they've been
- 8:20Speaker 3: shortening it to Dayton combining those two names, and so
- 8:23Speaker 3: now they want to change it to David Dayton Brown instead.
- 8:27Speaker 3: So we're completely erasing all parts of their biological father,
- 8:32Speaker 3: and we're going to put Cody's name on their birth
- 8:35Speaker 3: certificates wild business, which is crazy to me. I was
- 8:39Speaker 3: very surprised that they even do something like that. I
- 8:43Speaker 3: don't know if that's like typical or standard for adoption cases.
- 8:47Speaker 3: So if anybody has had experience with that, please let
- 8:50Speaker 3: us know the comments, because I thought that was odd, honestly,
- 8:54Speaker 3: Like especially with how the kids called their dad what
- 8:58Speaker 3: was it last week's episode and they were talking to
- 9:01Speaker 3: them about it, and he's like, well, I love you,
- 9:03Speaker 3: and like I still want to have a relationship with you.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Why are we making such an extra effort to like
- 9:07Speaker 3: literally erase his entire existence from their lives. I just
- 9:10Speaker 3: think that's pretty crazy.
- 9:12Speaker 2: I think it's terrible.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Yeah, and then you know, Robin cries at the lawyer's
- 9:18Speaker 3: office because again she wants everybody to believe that this
- 9:20Speaker 3: is like really emotional. And then Cody makes a comment
- 9:23Speaker 3: where he says, like, this whole thing has been really difficult.
- 9:28Speaker 3: A lot of us have made a lot of sacrifices
- 9:31Speaker 3: to get here, to secure our family, which I thought
- 9:34Speaker 3: was really interesting. Goes back to what you've been saying
- 9:36Speaker 3: this whole time about how this is all Robin's master plan. Allegedly,
- 9:41Speaker 3: in our opinion, to secure her empire. Yes, it's pretty
- 9:46Speaker 3: crazy that he even used that language. And then after
- 9:49Speaker 3: the lawyer's office, we go back home. We're at Robin's
- 9:52Speaker 3: house again and we have all of the adults talking
- 9:55Speaker 3: to Aurora Dayton and Brianna basically announcing to them anyway
- 9:59Speaker 3: sign paperwork. But you know, the.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Kids are like, didn't we have this conversation three episodes ago?
- 10:06Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 10:07Speaker 2: Dayton is looking very confused before we get to this though,
- 10:10Speaker 2: And just going back to the name change, I wanted
- 10:12Speaker 2: to ask you because I wasn't quite sure how I felt.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Do we think that Dayton actually came up with that
- 10:20Speaker 2: idea himself, like he wanted to change his name to
- 10:23Speaker 2: David Dayton Brown? No? Or do we think that he
- 10:26Speaker 2: was coerced into getting rid of all traces of his
- 10:29Speaker 2: father's name and his name.
- 10:30Speaker 3: I think he was coerced. I think Robin probably planted
- 10:34Speaker 3: the seed. And you know, for her mommy manipulation was like, Hey,
- 10:39Speaker 3: wouldn't it be cool if we changed your name to
- 10:43Speaker 3: have Dayton be your middle name instead?
- 10:45Speaker 2: Because it's what you go We're eliminating your bio dad,
- 10:49Speaker 2: because you still have the Ton from Preston in Dayton,
- 10:53Speaker 2: but like, I just my vibration was that she was
- 10:56Speaker 2: orchestrating that from behind the scenes. And I'm just felt
- 11:00Speaker 2: really bad for Dayton because I think there's a lot
- 11:03Speaker 2: of ways in which she's very vulnerable and I would
- 11:07Speaker 2: hope she wouldn't take advantage of that, but at the
- 11:09Speaker 2: same time, I would not put it past her.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like she totally coerced them, and I
- 11:15Speaker 3: think she coursed them in this whole thing too. I
- 11:18Speaker 3: think she convinced them like, hey, your dad doesn't love you,
- 11:21Speaker 3: and we're gonna get this adoption squared away because you
- 11:24Speaker 3: do have a dad that loves you. And that's why
- 11:26Speaker 3: Aurora and Brianna call Cody dad. I know Dayton says
- 11:29Speaker 3: it too, but it's like they've only really been in
- 11:31Speaker 3: this family for a couple of years, Like that's a
- 11:33Speaker 3: bit of a crazy adjustment.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Well, furthermore, she was having them called dad in season
- 11:40Speaker 2: one right at the very very beginning, at.
- 11:42Speaker 3: The very beginning, and that's weird to me, Like you
- 11:45Speaker 3: shouldn't be erasing their biological father. And I know that
- 11:48Speaker 3: there's abuse allegations, I get it or whatever, And if
- 11:51Speaker 3: they're valid, Okay, I get it, but I just feel
- 11:54Speaker 3: like this whole thing is really shady. And we actually
- 11:57Speaker 3: got a comment on Patreon not too long ago about
- 11:59Speaker 3: somebody discussing their own like personal adoption history and how
- 12:04Speaker 3: it was because their dad was not a part of
- 12:06Speaker 3: their life. But they feel icky watching this on TV
- 12:10Speaker 3: because this shouldn't be something that's televised, because this is
- 12:13Speaker 3: a very emotional thing, especially for the kids involved, and
- 12:17Speaker 3: these kids don't really get to have the space to
- 12:20Speaker 3: feel the full spectrum of all of those emotions because
- 12:23Speaker 3: they've got cameras in their face and their mom telling them, no,
- 12:26Speaker 3: this is actually a good thing though, that we're going
- 12:29Speaker 3: to completely erase your dad from your life and your
- 12:32Speaker 3: entire existence. He's not here. Actually, Cody's on the birth certificate,
- 12:37Speaker 3: so we're gonna pretend, like what a mind fuck? Like
- 12:39Speaker 3: that's so crazy.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Are these kids in therapy? Are you getting them any
- 12:44Speaker 2: sort of mental health resources? Because I can see it
- 12:48Speaker 2: plain as day on Dayton's face. He's he's confused and
- 12:51Speaker 2: totally seems a little lost all the time.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Oh, I would be if I was in this situation.
- 12:58Speaker 3: And so ultimately, when they're telling them that they got
- 13:00Speaker 3: the paperwork signed at the lawyer's office. Of course, the
- 13:03Speaker 3: kids are just kind of like whatever about it, because
- 13:06Speaker 3: probably they've been told this before and we've been going
- 13:09Speaker 3: over this constantly for the last year or whatever, and
- 13:12Speaker 3: so they're bored at this point, but also like it's complicated,
- 13:17Speaker 3: and now we're getting to the final process of all
- 13:20Speaker 3: of this where it's going to start to feel real
- 13:23Speaker 3: and to be solidified, and it's just a shame that
- 13:26Speaker 3: we can't just have this be like a private thing.
- 13:29Speaker 3: We're just exploiting it for content. And so after the
- 13:32Speaker 3: adults tell the kids, and you know, the kids are
- 13:34Speaker 3: just very lackluster about it, the other wives leave and
- 13:37Speaker 3: it's just Cody, Robin and their kids, and this is
- 13:41Speaker 3: where Robin decides to make the announcement to them that
- 13:44Speaker 3: she's prego and she wants to have a private moment
- 13:48Speaker 3: with just her kids. And this is where we have
- 13:50Speaker 3: this whole monologue about how Robin's feelings were hurt.
- 13:54Speaker 2: She's scared.
- 13:55Speaker 3: She's scared because she doesn't want the family to not
- 13:58Speaker 3: accept this baby because they didn't accept Solomon when she
- 14:01Speaker 3: was pregnant with him, and her pregnancy was Solomon was
- 14:04Speaker 3: so lonely and horrible because it was all the family's fault,
- 14:08Speaker 3: mainly the teenagers, because they weren't ecstatic and running up
- 14:12Speaker 3: to her with a bunch of joy and happiness for
- 14:15Speaker 3: her pregnancy, Like I'm just like, bitch.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Yeah, And she's turning it into some sort of a
- 14:20Speaker 2: litmus test as well, like if they don't immediately celebrate
- 14:25Speaker 2: my announcement, that equals our family is damaged in some way. Yeah,
- 14:30Speaker 2: there's something wrong with our family. But if they do
- 14:33Speaker 2: celebrate the fact that I'm pregnant, that means our family
- 14:37Speaker 2: is healthy. Like it all hinges on how they treat
- 14:41Speaker 2: her in this moment, yep, which is pretty dastardly. Yeah,
- 14:45Speaker 2: because these are kids. You're going to be announcing this too,
- 14:48Speaker 2: and you never know what a kid is going to
- 14:50Speaker 2: say or how they're going to respond. And I was
- 14:52Speaker 2: just like, why do we why are you doing this?
- 14:55Speaker 3: Exactly? I think it's because she doesn't actually like the family,
- 14:58Speaker 3: and because they didn't have a good reaction when she
- 15:01Speaker 3: was pregnant the first time. She's totally taking that as
- 15:05Speaker 3: this family doesn't accept me no matter what. And so
- 15:07Speaker 3: even though later in the episode the family is super
- 15:11Speaker 3: excited about her pregnancy, and they do, all of them
- 15:14Speaker 3: show genuine care and excitement for this. I feel like,
- 15:18Speaker 3: deep down she still doesn't think it's genuine or that
- 15:22Speaker 3: they care. I think deep down she's like, no, all
- 15:25Speaker 3: of y'all are fake, if you suck.
- 15:26Speaker 2: I think I don't know that she thinks that. I
- 15:29Speaker 2: think she is constantly othering herself. She never seems quite
- 15:34Speaker 2: comfortable at all with the family, with those kids, and
- 15:39Speaker 2: certainly with the other wives. Maybe Mary a little bit. Yeah,
- 15:43Speaker 2: she gets along with but like only so far, and
- 15:45Speaker 2: as soon as we get into the Catfish, of course,
- 15:48Speaker 2: the rumors are and Mary confirmed in last season with Sukiana,
- 15:53Speaker 2: the rumors are that Robin actually had a hand in
- 15:56Speaker 2: coordinating behind the scenes what was going on with the Catfish,
- 15:59Speaker 2: was being fed information from the Catfish through Kendra was
- 16:04Speaker 2: telling Cody the entire thing what was happening. Like, so,
- 16:07Speaker 2: I don't think Robin likes anybody, which is why I
- 16:11Speaker 2: think from this point and probably all the way back
- 16:14Speaker 2: to season one, she had designs on taking over this family.
- 16:18Speaker 3: One hundred percent. I think you're right. And like when
- 16:20Speaker 3: she's talking about why she chose to tell her kids first,
- 16:24Speaker 3: she does acknowledge that it's out of a selfish desire.
- 16:28Speaker 3: She's like, I just want to have a good moment
- 16:30Speaker 3: with my family and my kids before I tell everybody else,
- 16:34Speaker 3: because I'm so worried and I'm so anxious, and I'm like, wow,
- 16:37Speaker 3: this part really pissed me off, honestly, like on behalf
- 16:40Speaker 3: of the kids and the teenagers, because, like you had
- 16:43Speaker 3: said at the top of this episode, like nobody gives
- 16:45Speaker 3: a shit about how these kids actually felt about all
- 16:48Speaker 3: of this change in their life. Like, moving in general
- 16:51Speaker 3: is a really horrible thing, especially for teenagers when they
- 16:55Speaker 3: have to change out of schools and leave all of
- 16:57Speaker 3: their friends and move out of state, move from every
- 17:00Speaker 3: that they've ever known in their whole life. That's already traumatizing.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Then to have their dad marry a new wife then
- 17:07Speaker 3: have to live all in separate homes and away from
- 17:09Speaker 3: all of their siblings.
- 17:10Speaker 2: When he introduces the first wife, they're all living in
- 17:13Speaker 2: the Lehigh home, and she's not integrating herself into that family.
- 17:16Speaker 2: She never from the beginning integrated herself into that family.
- 17:21Speaker 2: So it's no wonder that the older kids didn't have
- 17:24Speaker 2: much of a reaction because again, they're traumatized. Also, who
- 17:27Speaker 2: are you, bitch? No, for real, you haven't lived with us.
- 17:29Speaker 2: We don't know you though, for real.
- 17:31Speaker 3: And like she got pregnant within what like a years
- 17:34Speaker 3: or two, so.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Like so if they were dating.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Yeah, so what do you expect? How do you expect
- 17:39Speaker 3: people to react? And it's also not fair to put
- 17:42Speaker 3: that kind of expectation on everybody else, so that like
- 17:46Speaker 3: they don't know what your expectation is, they don't know
- 17:48Speaker 3: how they're supposed to react, but they automatically fail because
- 17:52Speaker 3: you had had this expectation coming into it, and now
- 17:54Speaker 3: you're butt hurt and you're gonna make a whole thing
- 17:56Speaker 3: about it on national TV and try and demonize them
- 17:59Speaker 3: and demonize these teenagers. Like that's so fucking crazy.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Perpetual ever victim cray Z.
- 18:06Speaker 3: And so then we switch gears a little bit and
- 18:08Speaker 3: we go back to Mary's haunted, lonely ass house and
- 18:11Speaker 3: she's getting ready to go see the doctor because she's
- 18:14Speaker 3: having some health issues right now. Okay, she lost thirty
- 18:18Speaker 3: pounds in six weeks.
- 18:19Speaker 2: And she doesn't know why, she has no idea. It's
- 18:22Speaker 2: because she's existing on a diet of bananas and she's
- 18:26Speaker 2: also probably trying intentionally to lose weight because she's about
- 18:30Speaker 2: to meet her man in person and she wants to
- 18:32Speaker 2: look as good as possible exactly. But we're going to
- 18:35Speaker 2: pretend that we're having a cancer scare or something, and
- 18:38Speaker 2: it's absolutely ridiculous, honestly, is so all these browns do
- 18:42Speaker 2: is lie and cover up shit. It's really Doe Where
- 18:46Speaker 2: to God?
- 18:46Speaker 3: And it's so dramatized. Like she says that she goes
- 18:49Speaker 3: to the doctor because she had this weight loss and
- 18:51Speaker 3: they did a CT scan and they found something abnormal,
- 18:54Speaker 3: So now I have to go see an obgyn as
- 18:56Speaker 3: specialist to check out my vagina to make sure it's
- 19:00Speaker 3: good enough for Sam. Ultimately meet up with Sam and
- 19:05Speaker 3: we go and see this obgyn and she's, you know,
- 19:08Speaker 3: also performing for the camera and being like, yeah, that's CG. Sken.
- 19:12Speaker 3: I don't know. There was some abnormal results. We got
- 19:14Speaker 3: to do a pap smear right now. I need to
- 19:16Speaker 3: look at your couchie right now. Some they do, they
- 19:20Speaker 3: do a pap smear and then they're like, well we
- 19:22Speaker 3: have to wait several days for the results, duh, So
- 19:25Speaker 3: you'll find out if it's cervical cancer. Or not. It's like,
- 19:28Speaker 3: this is so crazy.
- 19:30Speaker 2: It is.
- 19:30Speaker 3: But I did feel bad for Mary a little bit
- 19:33Speaker 3: in this moment because she's doing all of this alone,
- 19:36Speaker 3: so she's not telling anybody. She doesn't have Cody with her,
- 19:40Speaker 3: so she's dealing with all of this by herself, going
- 19:43Speaker 3: to the doctor by herself. Nobody gives a shit. I
- 19:45Speaker 3: don't think she's got any friends in the family, and
- 19:47Speaker 3: I'm sure her and Cody and their marriage is just
- 19:50Speaker 3: in the shitter right now.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Well, my thought was, why aren't you still going to
- 19:54Speaker 2: a chiropractor? Yeah? No, right, Why all of a sudden
- 19:59Speaker 2: do you get to go to a medical doctor while
- 20:01Speaker 2: you send all of your children to the chiropractor. I
- 20:03Speaker 2: thought you were afraid of physician good Point and the
- 20:08Speaker 2: medical community because they were gonna out you as polygamous.
- 20:10Speaker 2: But maybe when it comes to you though, you get
- 20:13Speaker 2: to go maybe to a medical doctor. But when McKelty
- 20:16Speaker 2: falls off of a horse, so we've got to send
- 20:18Speaker 2: her to the car. Right. I was just bitter watching
- 20:20Speaker 2: this entire thing because to me, it just felt like
- 20:23Speaker 2: farming content, Like let's film another thing and pretend it's
- 20:26Speaker 2: a big thing, and then it's going to be a
- 20:27Speaker 2: nothing and just the same old, same old content grind.
- 20:32Speaker 3: That's a good point, and a good point about the
- 20:33Speaker 3: doctor too, like what changed with your philosophy? Like why
- 20:36Speaker 3: are we going to see them?
- 20:37Speaker 2: I'm sure it's probably money, But do the kids get
- 20:39Speaker 2: to see MD's. We know Trey did, but it was
- 20:41Speaker 2: an emergency. Do they go to the doctor?
- 20:43Speaker 3: I don't know exactly?
- 20:44Speaker 2: Do they get vaccinations?
- 20:45Speaker 3: I have no idea. Well, and speaking of money too,
- 20:48Speaker 3: like if she hasn't talked to anybody in the family
- 20:50Speaker 3: at this point, do they know that you're taking money
- 20:52Speaker 3: from the family pot to go to the doctor? Like
- 20:55Speaker 3: is nobody questioning.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Any of them?
- 20:56Speaker 2: Do they have health insurance?
- 20:58Speaker 3: Yeah? What's going on with that?
- 21:00Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 21:00Speaker 3: They don't talk to us, No, they don't.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Unfortunately, they had no news in the dumpster.
- 21:05Speaker 3: But you know, Mary's worried about cervical carcinoma, Okay.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Which I mean and then I have to get so
- 21:11Speaker 2: inappropriate about it, and I did mention it in another episode,
- 21:14Speaker 2: but like, okay, so if it's cervical cancer, or if
- 21:16Speaker 2: it's like cervical issues, or if it's like an abnormal pap. Yeah,
- 21:23Speaker 2: isn't that always HPV.
- 21:25Speaker 3: No, not always. You can get skin cancer down there,
- 21:28Speaker 3: but yeah, yeah, you can get squay as cell carcinoma down.
- 21:32Speaker 2: There skin there.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Yeah. Okay, did you know that?
- 21:34Speaker 2: Isn't it mostly HPV related that?
- 21:37Speaker 3: I mean, it can't. Yeah, But like I just I
- 21:39Speaker 3: was thinking, Okay, well, where would you get well, because
- 21:42Speaker 3: you've only had one partner besides the banana, You're right,
- 21:46Speaker 3: body hasn't.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Cody has had more than one partner, I think because,
- 21:50Speaker 2: as he tells the he had that salicious rendezvous in college.
- 21:55Speaker 2: And I know I'm repeating myself, but I will do
- 21:57Speaker 2: it every single time. I'm going to tell you right now,
- 21:59Speaker 2: every single time. So what if he contracted something like.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Well, yeah, with three other women, and Robin had multiple
- 22:08Speaker 3: partners and Janelle was.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Probably ho and around totally. So you'reunde was married, Lauris.
- 22:16Speaker 2: That's how. Yeah, we're married. She's got the she had
- 22:21Speaker 2: the laugh it's not funny and she doesn't have it.
- 22:24Speaker 3: No, she doesn't have it.
- 22:26Speaker 2: But if she did have it, she would have got
- 22:29Speaker 2: that from Cody. Yep, bitch ass Brown for real though,
- 22:34Speaker 2: excuse Manna, that's inappropriate.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Well, we did warn you at the beginning of the episode.
- 22:39Speaker 3: And so then we go to Christine and Cody and
- 22:41Speaker 3: their depressing ass marriage and we have a little session
- 22:47Speaker 3: with Nancy, their couples slash family therapist, and I guess
- 22:51Speaker 3: after Galveston Nancy attended that trip, she had to leave
- 22:55Speaker 3: a day early, and so she wants to meet with
- 22:57Speaker 3: them again after the trip, just to check in and
- 23:00Speaker 3: see how everything's going. And she starts the session off
- 23:03Speaker 3: talking about that little rock sculpture that Cody and Christine did,
- 23:07Speaker 3: which was a total fucking failure supposed to represent their relationship,
- 23:11Speaker 3: and it obviously didn't because Cody only sees Christine for
- 23:15Speaker 3: the value that she brings to the family and that.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Let's just call space.
- 23:20Speaker 3: He does not see her as a wife or a
- 23:22Speaker 3: romantic partner whatsoever. And so when they're discussing the whole
- 23:25Speaker 3: rock situation, Cody pretends to act like he's self aware
- 23:29Speaker 3: and he's done some reflection. He says, Yeah, it was
- 23:31Speaker 3: a little bossy. I didn't listen to Christine at all.
- 23:35Speaker 3: And then this gets into more of a conversation about
- 23:37Speaker 3: the fact that Christine doesn't feel heard or listen to
- 23:41Speaker 3: in general, and she brings up how one of her
- 23:45Speaker 3: major issues was when Robin came into the family. She
- 23:48Speaker 3: noticed that Robin got to disagree with Cody all the time,
- 23:52Speaker 3: and Cody would just take it and listen. But Christine
- 23:56Speaker 3: has always felt the need to agree with Cody whatever
- 24:00Speaker 3: he wanted, to appease him and then shove her knees
- 24:04Speaker 3: down and not be somebody who needs anything. And that
- 24:08Speaker 3: obviously has caused a lot of frustration and anger. And
- 24:12Speaker 3: so then she argues with Cody because she doesn't know
- 24:14Speaker 3: how to communicate.
- 24:16Speaker 2: But if you're arguing, you're not agreeing. So I do
- 24:19Speaker 2: think that there was probably a lot more conflict in
- 24:22Speaker 2: their relationship than Christine just doing everything that Cody said.
- 24:26Speaker 2: I think that Christine has a backbone, and I think
- 24:29Speaker 2: she probably did push back a little bit. But for
- 24:32Speaker 2: whatever reason, Cody let it be known that he didn't
- 24:36Speaker 2: like it, he didn't approve of it, and he wanted
- 24:39Speaker 2: his wives to be submissive until Robin entered the family. Now,
- 24:44Speaker 2: what I was thinking when I was watching this scene
- 24:47Speaker 2: was like, Cody looked like he got mad when she
- 24:50Speaker 2: brought up Robin, And I think this is the crux
- 24:54Speaker 2: of their issue. Well besides the fact that he's not
- 24:57Speaker 2: attracted to her and doesn't love her at all. He
- 25:00Speaker 2: also doesn't like how it's usually Christine who's the one
- 25:04Speaker 2: who's calling out Robin for the various and sundry bullshit
- 25:07Speaker 2: that she and Cody do. So in this moment when
- 25:10Speaker 2: she brings up Robin again, I just felt him stiffen
- 25:13Speaker 2: and he was just like, ah, fuck, what am I
- 25:16Speaker 2: gonna say? What am I going to do?
- 25:18Speaker 3: I saw that too a little bit. He did seem
- 25:21Speaker 3: like annoyed that she brought that up. And I think
- 25:23Speaker 3: this also goes to what Cody's always been saying, is
- 25:26Speaker 3: like Christine always makes these comparisons to other relationships, Like, no, like,
- 25:31Speaker 3: our relationship is its own thing. You don't need to
- 25:33Speaker 3: compare to me and Robin, even though we're totally in
- 25:36Speaker 3: love and we have a full, romantic, healthy, well healthy
- 25:40Speaker 3: ish marriage compared to us. So I could see that,
- 25:44Speaker 3: and you know, when Nancy interjects with this Robin comparison,
- 25:49Speaker 3: She's like, well, Cody, you know, is it fair to
- 25:52Speaker 3: say that in your relationship with Robin? She has a voice,
- 25:56Speaker 3: and Cody's like, well yeah, and Nancy's like, Okay, that's
- 25:59Speaker 3: what Christine wants. Can you let her have a voice,
- 26:02Speaker 3: Is that okay? And Cody's like.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Oh, lipulb right.
- 26:05Speaker 3: I just got to listen to her and validate her feeling.
- 26:09Speaker 2: And I really appreciate going to therapy with Christine because
- 26:12Speaker 2: I can apply it to my other more important relationship.
- 26:15Speaker 2: He actually says not more important.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Yeah, he actually says that he does, which is crazy.
- 26:20Speaker 3: And I don't know how like Christine's able to just
- 26:23Speaker 3: accept that. But that's I guess the nature of polygamy
- 26:26Speaker 3: that you have to just kind of always be confronted
- 26:29Speaker 3: with the fact that your husband is with other women
- 26:32Speaker 3: and other people and has better relationships with other people
- 26:35Speaker 3: than you. But you can tell that Cody probably fucked
- 26:41Speaker 3: Christine after Galveston because she seems kind of happier at
- 26:46Speaker 3: this moment, and I feel like it's because she got
- 26:48Speaker 3: some and so she's thinking in her brain because you know,
- 26:51Speaker 3: she's in this dysfunctional marriage like oh, we're fine, Like
- 26:54Speaker 3: things are okay.
- 26:55Speaker 2: I think she's on drugs that too. I think she's
- 26:59Speaker 2: some hormone placement therapy or something, because she talks about
- 27:02Speaker 2: that in her book, and I think that she might
- 27:04Speaker 2: be taking the opiates at this time, and she's just
- 27:07Speaker 2: coping in whatever way she possibly can because she's in
- 27:09Speaker 2: a dead end marriage that's going nowhere, and Galveston was
- 27:12Speaker 2: the confirmation of that, get to accept your shit. So
- 27:16Speaker 2: this is never inter change. I'm married to a complete
- 27:19Speaker 2: moron who doesn't love me and doesn't care about me,
- 27:22Speaker 2: So like, I'm either going to stay or I'm gonna go.
- 27:24Speaker 2: And if I'm gonna stay, I'm just gonna accept it,
- 27:26Speaker 2: and I'm gonna do drugs. I'm gonna be in my
- 27:30Speaker 2: bathtub reading about Viking romances and I'm just going to
- 27:34Speaker 2: check out completely from my life and let my other
- 27:36Speaker 2: kids parent my other.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Kids, and It'll be fine. Everything will great.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Plan Christine, she's doing what.
- 27:44Speaker 3: She can to cope with this horrible marriage honestly, because
- 27:47Speaker 3: i mean, can we all imagine what would it be
- 27:49Speaker 3: like to be married to Cody motherfucking Brown? Sounds miserable,
- 27:54Speaker 3: And at the end of this session, Christine tells Cody like,
- 27:58Speaker 3: it's okay if we disagree, like I don't mind that,
- 28:01Speaker 3: just like love me, love me through the disagreement, and
- 28:04Speaker 3: Cody's like, okay, I could do that.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Inwardly, he's like, no, I'm not gonna never gonna do that.
- 28:10Speaker 3: Yeah, Cody cannot love anybody that he disagrees with, even
- 28:14Speaker 3: his own children. And then the last portion of the
- 28:19Speaker 3: episode is everybody gathering at Mary's empty, sad, depressing house.
- 28:25Speaker 2: It does have a wet bar.
- 28:27Speaker 3: It has a wet bar, but it has the ugliest,
- 28:29Speaker 3: most dysfunctional furniture I've ever seen in my life.
- 28:32Speaker 2: It's the consignment furniture I know from season two or whatever, and.
- 28:36Speaker 3: I'm like watching it, I'm like, this is not like
- 28:38Speaker 3: conducive to a giant family. Like nobody can sit on it.
- 28:42Speaker 2: You have like comfortable at all, not comfortable.
- 28:44Speaker 3: There's no arm rests, there's no space for anybody, Like
- 28:47Speaker 3: people have to sit on the floor or stand around.
- 28:50Speaker 3: I'm just like, why would you ever pick this furniture?
- 28:52Speaker 3: It doesn't make any sense.
- 28:53Speaker 2: I don't know how anybody. I'm just gonna sound so bougie,
- 28:56Speaker 2: so I'm gonna shut up, Like I just can't like
- 28:58Speaker 2: have a thrift sofa. Like if I know, like other
- 29:01Speaker 2: butter have sat on this sofa, what else have they
- 29:05Speaker 2: done on the sofa? What sort of secretions are in
- 29:09Speaker 2: my sofa? Like I'm not gonna go to my rist
- 29:11Speaker 2: store or azimas or and get these.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Well they do clean it? What do they?
- 29:16Speaker 1: Yes?
- 29:17Speaker 3: How do you clean it?
- 29:18Speaker 2: I don't know. Bed bugs. Bed bugs are such a
- 29:21Speaker 2: problem around the world, a terrible, terrible problem around the world.
- 29:25Speaker 2: So you're gonna go to a thrift store or a
- 29:27Speaker 2: consignment store. You're going to bring home big pieces of furniture,
- 29:30Speaker 2: likely with a bunch of bed bugs. Oh my god,
- 29:32Speaker 2: that's just a prescription for hell. Absolutely not.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Plus it's ugly.
- 29:37Speaker 2: You can't just repline on it. You can't get your
- 29:40Speaker 2: book and these glass of wine and just spread out.
- 29:42Speaker 2: I have a great time. No, you're in this fucking
- 29:44Speaker 2: wooden chair. No, it's all curved and stuff. Man.
- 29:48Speaker 3: And like, how has Mary taking thirst traps on a
- 29:50Speaker 3: couch like that?
- 29:51Speaker 2: She's in a bath.
- 29:52Speaker 3: I mean she's in the top, she's.
- 29:54Speaker 1: In a bed.
- 29:55Speaker 2: It's uncomfortable there.
- 29:57Speaker 3: She spread out. I wonder if she ever did send
- 30:03Speaker 3: Kouchie photos to Sam.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Don't you think we would have seen those?
- 30:06Speaker 3: I feel like it.
- 30:07Speaker 2: But that chick who was Sam what's her name? Aking o,
- 30:10Speaker 2: don got to forget her? Ken No, No, Keandra was
- 30:12Speaker 2: the front what's her name? Jackie, Jackie something. Anyway, I
- 30:15Speaker 2: think Jackie would have leaked those. She's got absolutely no
- 30:18Speaker 2: moral character.
- 30:18Speaker 3: That would be so crazy, right, just Mary, we.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Would be totally uncensored right now looking at those photos,
- 30:25Speaker 2: looking at those Yeah, God, anyway, Minor and MAJORA, I.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Can't sorry anyway. So everybody's sitting on Mary's uncomfortable ass
- 30:37Speaker 3: fucking furniture. We're gathered here on the premise of Mary's
- 30:40Speaker 3: got a big announcement. That's what we saw in the
- 30:42Speaker 3: preview for last week, but actually it's for Robin, because
- 30:46Speaker 3: everything is about Robin, and Robin put Mary up to
- 30:48Speaker 3: this because she.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Was those gar and it's very frightened.
- 30:51Speaker 3: She was really worried, really really anxious, really anxious to
- 30:55Speaker 3: tell the rest of the family about her pregnancy, so
- 30:58Speaker 3: she wanted everybody to think that it was something about Mary.
- 31:02Speaker 3: And of course Mary is the one that announces it
- 31:04Speaker 3: that Robin's pregnant, and everybody irrupts in joy and excitement,
- 31:08Speaker 3: and every was like, oh my god, that's so amazing.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Robin was so happy for you. And then everybody's talking
- 31:13Speaker 3: about baby names and whether or not it's gonna be
- 31:15Speaker 3: twins or if it's a boy or girl, and Cody's
- 31:19Speaker 3: getting annoyed by his kids, and.
- 31:21Speaker 2: His other kids are there, and his other wives are there,
- 31:24Speaker 2: and he doesn't want to be around them at all.
- 31:27Speaker 3: He's like, just shut the fuck up. And it's funny
- 31:29Speaker 3: because Robin is like, no, like, it's good. This is
- 31:32Speaker 3: what we wanted. We wanted everybody to be happy, and
- 31:34Speaker 3: they genuinely do seem to care, and even Hunter cares,
- 31:39Speaker 3: and she was quick to name drop Hunter in particular,
- 31:43Speaker 3: and how he was excited this time.
- 31:45Speaker 2: So she's like, this pregnancy's gonna.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Be different, It's gonna be never I'm so excited. And
- 31:51Speaker 3: I'm just like, I couldn't care less. Agreed, I really,
- 31:54Speaker 3: I don't care. Sorry, baby, arie Ella. It's not your
- 31:57Speaker 3: fault that your parents are demons, but I don't care, right,
- 32:02Speaker 3: And then we end the episode with Robin going to
- 32:04Speaker 3: her prenatal appointment, and of course Aurora and Breonna want
- 32:07Speaker 3: to be a part of it, and I don't know,
- 32:09Speaker 3: Aurora gives me the creeps, dude, Yeah.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Let's just call it out first into laughter slash sobbing
- 32:17Speaker 2: at the drop of a hat. I'm like, you need
- 32:19Speaker 2: to get some emotional regulations. Yeah, maybe she's an EmPATH
- 32:23Speaker 2: like her mom.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Ew. But she also looks at Cody with like such
- 32:26Speaker 3: googly eyes, and I just don't like it. I think
- 32:28Speaker 3: it's weird. I think it's weird. But anyway, so they
- 32:31Speaker 3: do the ultrasound, they find out it's not twin listen though.
- 32:34Speaker 2: I mean, I just noticed they were doing the ultrasound
- 32:39Speaker 2: over Robin's spelly that she has stretch marks.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Yeah, she does.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Well, I mention it because she called out how oh
- 32:48Speaker 2: YDI was such a good husband because he loved his
- 32:51Speaker 2: fat wives, not her, his fat wives and all their
- 32:54Speaker 2: stretch marks. Good points, as if she didn't have stretch marks.
- 32:58Speaker 2: But actually, when she was pregnant, Solomon, I saw the
- 33:01Speaker 2: stretch marks. So you've been having stretch marks, You've been
- 33:04Speaker 2: sat with a bunch of stretch marks. But you're calling
- 33:07Speaker 2: out these other women for stretch marks. You're just awful.
- 33:11Speaker 3: She's just a mean girl.
- 33:12Speaker 2: You're just awful.
- 33:13Speaker 3: She's got to put everybody down to make herself feel better.
- 33:15Speaker 3: Because I guess you won the prize. That is Cody Brown.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Well, I mean, if this is the game she's playing, yeah,
- 33:22Speaker 2: she did win win. I got it all, honey. That's
- 33:25Speaker 2: living in the second McMansion with her little husband next
- 33:30Speaker 2: to the mines or whatever.
- 33:33Speaker 3: Yeah, inhaling all of that summertime.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Right, and during the summer, like all the fumes are especially.
- 33:39Speaker 3: Bad and the dust, yeah, and your valley fever. So
- 33:44Speaker 3: then we have a preview for next week's episode. We
- 33:46Speaker 3: have Mary actually discussing some conflicting emotions that she's been
- 33:51Speaker 3: having since the legal divorce, which will be interesting.
- 33:54Speaker 2: It's also known as ramping up to leave the family
- 33:57Speaker 2: because she's got her man's her soulmate.
- 34:01Speaker 3: Exactly, and she's kind of moving on. Then we have
- 34:03Speaker 3: Robin and Cody discussing with the kids again about the court.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Date for the adoption and the snoring.
- 34:13Speaker 3: And of course Robin's nervous and I don't give a shit.
- 34:16Speaker 3: We have Christine getting emotional about it. She's like telling
- 34:19Speaker 3: truly about the court date and telling truly about adoption
- 34:22Speaker 3: and she cries, and I think that that's sweet, and
- 34:24Speaker 3: I think Christine means it. It's a shame that Robin
- 34:27Speaker 3: can't see that. And then we have Maddie telling the
- 34:30Speaker 3: parents that she's dating Caleb. Shocker to nobody.
- 34:34Speaker 2: I'm gonna talk matchit about that though, I'm ready to
- 34:36Speaker 2: get into it.
- 34:36Speaker 3: Yeah, it's going to be interesting because they do kind
- 34:38Speaker 3: of bring on Caleb really fast, and then we have
- 34:43Speaker 3: Cody saying at the end of the preview, is the
- 34:45Speaker 3: judge going to see the value in our family?
- 34:51Speaker 2: Yep? Hoisting up the martyr banner or we go again.
- 34:54Speaker 3: It's so dumb and the court episode is really such
- 34:57Speaker 3: a nothing burger. Everybody floods in that courtroom and the
- 35:00Speaker 3: judge is like, you have such a great family. Approved,
- 35:03Speaker 3: I gets it.
- 35:04Speaker 2: That's it, that's all it's going to be. Yeah, and
- 35:05Speaker 2: we knew it.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Duh.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Well, I had fun talking about this episode with you. Yeah.
- 35:11Speaker 2: I just really want to get on the locomotive to Catfishville.
- 35:15Speaker 2: I really need to get into Leon hating Mary, Leon
- 35:20Speaker 2: calling out Mary's eyebrows. I need to get into Mary
- 35:23Speaker 2: trying to do her redemption tour and have her weird
- 35:27Speaker 2: catfish friend talk to Leon like. I want to see
- 35:31Speaker 2: all of that so much. I want to get there. Yeah,
- 35:33Speaker 2: me too, because it's going to be so juicy. Right now,
- 35:35Speaker 2: we're in a little bit of a Sahara does her
- 35:37Speaker 2: We're a little dry here, yeah, but we're still having
- 35:39Speaker 2: fun and we hope you are.
