  are
• 0:51
  the
• 0:51
  ones
• 0:51
  that
• 0:52
  I

  a
• 0:53

• 0:54
  They
• 0:54
  still
• 0:54
  sell
• 0:54
  these
• 0:54
  things
• 0:55
  even
• 0:55
  though
• 0:56
  they're
• 0:56
  illegal
• 0:57
  in
• 0:57
  my
• 0:57
  state.
• 0:57
  I
• 0:57
  could
• 0:58
  still
• 0:58
  go
• 0:58
  into
• 0:58
  my
• 0:59
  home
• 0:59
  center
• 1:00
  and
• 1:00
  pick
• 1:00
  one
• 1:00
  up
• 1:01
  off
• 1:01
  the
• 1:01
  shelf.
• 1:02
  And
• 1:02
  if
• 1:02
  you
• 1:02
  want
• 1:02
  to
• 1:02
  hear
• 1:03
  about
• 1:03
  that,
• 1:03
  you
• 1:03
  can
• 1:03
  go
• 1:03
  back
• 1:04
  to
• 1:04
  one
• 1:04
  of
• 1:04
  our
• 1:04
  previous
• 1:04
  episodes
• 1:05
  where
• 1:05
  I
• 1:05
  talked
• 1:06
  about
• 1:06
  the
• 1:06
  building
• 1:07
  materials
• 1:07
  that
• 1:07
  don't
• 1:08
  meet
• 1:08
  building
• 1:08
  code
• 1:08
  that
• 1:09
  you
• 1:09
  can
• 1:09
  buy
• 1:09
  at
• 1:09
  the
• 1:09
  home
• 1:10
  centers.
• 1:10
  Yeah,
• 1:10
  there's
• 1:11
  plenty
• 1:11
  of
• 1:11
  plenty
• 1:11
  of
• 1:11
  them
• 1:11
  out
• 1:11
  there.
• 1:12
  One
• 1:12
  of
• 1:12
  those
• 1:13
  in
• 1:13
  my
• 1:13
  area
• 1:14
  or
• 1:14
  literally
• 1:15
  on
• 1:15
  the
• 1:15
  west
• 1:15
  coast
• 1:15
  here,
• 1:16
  where
• 1:16
  I'm
• 1:16
  at
• 1:17
  is
• 1:18
  vent
• 1:18
  hoods
• 1:18
  that
• 1:19
  kick
• 1:19
  the
• 1:19
  air
• 1:20
  back
• 1:20
  into
• 1:20
  your
• 1:20
  home.
• 1:21
  If
• 1:21
  I
• 1:22
  could
• 1:22
  wave
• 1:22
  a
• 1:22
  magic
• 1:22
  wand
• 1:23
  to
• 1:23
  improve
• 1:24
  air
• 1:24
  quality
• 1:25
  across
• 1:25
  the
• 1:25
  United
• 1:26
  States,
• 1:26
  that
• 1:27
  would
• 1:27
  be
• 1:27
  the
• 1:27
  first
• 1:27
  thing
• 1:28
  I
• 1:28
  would
• 1:28
  do.
• 1:29
  Would
• 1:29
  it
• 1:29
  be
• 1:29
  to
• 1:29
  make
• 1:30
  sure
• 1:30
  that
• 1:30
  those
• 1:30
  vents
• 1:31
  outside,
• 1:32
  that's
• 1:32
  how
• 1:32
  you
• 1:32
  move
• 1:32
  the
• 1:32
  ball
• 1:33
  the
• 1:33
  fastest
• 1:34
  on
• 1:34
  getting
• 1:34
  indoor
• 1:34
  air
• 1:35
  quality
• 1:35
  clean
• 1:35
  for
• 1:36
  you.
• 1:36
  Make
• 1:36
  sure
• 1:36
  that
• 1:36
  you
• 1:37
  can
• 1:37
  exhaust
• 1:38
  all
• 1:38
  of
• 1:38
  those
• 1:38
  things.
• 1:39
  When
• 1:39
  it
• 1:39
  comes
• 1:40
  to
• 1:40
  remodeling
• 1:40
  and
• 1:40
  renovating
• 1:41
  your
• 1:41
  home,
• 1:42
  there
• 1:42
  is
• 1:42
  a
• 1:42
  lot
• 1:42
  to
• 1:43
  know,
• 1:43
  but
• 1:44
  we've
• 1:44
  got
• 1:44
  you
• 1:44
  covered.

  This

  Thanks
• 1:55
  for

  joining

  me
• 1:55
  today,

  guys.

  This

• 2:02
  for
• 2:02
  under
• 2:03
  900
• 2:03
  bucks.
• 2:04
  Quality
• 2:05
  stuff
• 2:05
  on
• 2:05
  a
• 2:06
  budget.
• 2:06
  You
• 2:06
  can't
• 2:07
  lose
• 2:07
  with
• 2:07
  that.
• 2:08
  Well,
• 2:08
  today
• 2:08
  I
• 2:09
  thought
• 2:09
  we'd
• 2:09
  talk
• 2:09
  about
• 2:10
  my
• 2:10
  top
• 2:10
  10
• 2:11
  list
• 2:11
  of
• 2:12
  outdated
• 2:12
  materials
• 2:13
  or
• 2:13
  even
• 2:14
  installation
• 2:15
  methods
• 2:16
  that
• 2:16
  should
• 2:16
  be
• 2:17
  retired.
• 2:18
  There's
• 2:18
  so
• 2:18
  many
• 2:18
  things
• 2:19
  out
• 2:19
  there
• 2:19
  where
• 2:19
  technology
• 2:20
  gets
• 2:20
  better,
• 2:21
  products
• 2:22
  get
• 2:22
  better,
• 2:23
  and
• 2:24
  we
• 2:24
  learn
• 2:24
  some
• 2:24
  hard
• 2:25
  lessons
• 2:25
  sometimes
• 2:26
  because
• 2:27
  many
• 2:27
  times
• 2:27
  that
• 2:28
  next
• 2:28
  greatest
• 2:29
  brand
• 2:29
  new
• 2:29
  thing
• 2:30
  10
• 2:31
  years
• 2:31
  later
• 2:32
  is
• 2:32
  that
• 2:32
  thing
• 2:33
  that
• 2:33
  we're
• 2:33
  all
• 2:33
  getting
• 2:34
  rid
• 2:34
  of
• 2:34
  because
• 2:35
  it
• 2:35
  just,
• 2:35
  quite
• 2:35
  frankly,
• 2:36
  didn't
• 2:36
  work.
• 2:36
  And
• 2:36
  we
• 2:37
  don't
• 2:37
  see
• 2:37
  as
• 2:37
  much
• 2:37
  of
• 2:37
  that
• 2:37
  now,
• 2:38
  but
• 2:38
  we
• 2:38
  see
• 2:38
  that
• 2:38
  from
• 2:39
  especially
• 2:40
  the
• 2:41
  80s
• 2:41
  and
• 2:42
  90s
• 2:42
  where
• 2:43
  maybe
• 2:43
  something
• 2:44
  new
• 2:44
  was
• 2:44
  invented
• 2:44
  and
• 2:45
  it
• 2:45
  just
• 2:45
  didn't
• 2:46
  work
• 2:46
  out
• 2:46
  because
• 2:46
  we
• 2:47
  realized
• 2:47
  later
• 2:48
  that,
• 2:48
  wow,
• 2:49
  that
• 2:49
  just
• 2:49
  didn't
• 2:50
  hold
• 2:50
  up.
• 2:51
  And
• 2:51
  the
• 2:51
  first
• 2:52
  one
• 2:52
  on
• 2:52
  this
• 2:52
  that
• 2:53
  I
• 2:53
  have,
• 2:53
  the
• 2:54
  first
• 2:54
  one
• 2:55
  is
• 2:55
  concrete
• 2:57
  backer
• 2:57
  tile
• 2:58
  board.
• 2:58
  Sorry,
• 2:58
  guys.
• 2:59
  There
• 3:00
  are
• 3:00
  so
• 3:00
  many
• 3:00
  better
• 3:01
  products
• 3:01
  out
• 3:02
  there
• 3:03
  and
• 3:03
  I've
• 3:03
  seen
• 3:04
  so
• 3:04
  many
• 3:04
  failures
• 3:05
  of
• 3:05
  this
• 3:05
  product
• 3:06
  because
• 3:07
  a
• 3:07
  couple
• 3:08
  things,
• 3:08
  One,
• 3:09
  it's
• 3:09
  not
• 3:09
  installed
• 3:10
  correctly,
• 3:10
  which
• 3:11
  can
• 3:11
  happen
• 3:11
  to
• 3:11
  any
• 3:11
  product.
• 3:12
  Two,
• 3:13
  it's
• 3:14
  not
• 3:14
  waterproof.
• 3:15
  And
• 3:15
  if
• 3:16
  you
• 3:16
  don't
• 3:16
  waterproof
• 3:17
  it,
• 3:17
  tile
• 3:17
  and
• 3:18
  grout
• 3:18
  aren't
• 3:18
  waterproof.
• 3:19
  So
• 3:20
  you
• 3:20
  get
• 3:20
  water
• 3:20
  intrusion.
• 3:21
  What
• 3:21
  does
• 3:21
  concrete
• 3:21
  like
• 3:22
  to
• 3:22
  do?
• 3:22
  Suck
• 3:22
  up
• 3:23
  moisture.
• 3:23
  How
• 3:24
  do
• 3:24
  you
• 3:24
  know
• 3:24
  this.
• 3:24
  Take
• 3:24
  a
• 3:24
  piece
• 3:25
  of
• 3:25
  tile
• 3:25
  board
• 3:25
  and
• 3:25
  put
• 3:26
  it
• 3:26
  outside
• 3:26
  for
• 3:26
  a
• 3:26
  month
• 3:26
  or
• 3:27
  so,
• 3:27
  watch
• 3:28
  the
• 3:28
  water
• 3:28
  get
• 3:28
  soaked
• 3:28
  up
• 3:29
  in
• 3:29
  it.
• 3:29
  Yep,
• 3:30
  it'll
• 3:30
  soak
• 3:30
  right
• 3:31
  through
• 3:31
  the
• 3:31
  top
• 3:31
  of
• 3:31
  that.
• 3:32
  And
• 3:32
  because
• 3:33
  water
• 3:33
  can
• 3:33
  go
• 3:33
  through
• 3:34
  it
• 3:34
  now
• 3:35
  you've
• 3:35
  got
• 3:35
  a
• 3:35
  sponge
• 3:36
  and
• 3:37
  that
• 3:37
  just
• 3:38
  makes
• 3:38
  that
• 3:38
  decay
• 3:39
  or
• 3:39
  rot
• 3:39
  in
• 3:40
  a
• 3:40
  shower
• 3:41
  or
• 3:41
  bathroom
• 3:41
  floor
• 3:42
  even
• 3:42
  worse.
• 3:43
  So
• 3:43
  are
• 3:44
  there
• 3:44
  better
• 3:44
  products
• 3:44
  out
• 3:45
  there?
• 3:45
  Yeah,
• 3:46
  there
• 3:46
  are
• 3:46
  tons
• 3:47
  of
• 3:47
  great
• 3:47
  stuff.
• 3:47
  I
• 3:47
  like
• 3:48
  the
• 3:48
  foam
• 3:48
  boards,
• 3:48
  personally,
• 3:49
  like
• 3:50
  wedi,
• 3:50
  Ardex,
• 3:52
  all
• 3:52
  those
• 3:52
  things.
• 3:52
  Schluter
• 3:53
  system
• 3:53
  makes
• 3:53
  a
• 3:53
  great
• 3:54
  product
• 3:54
  out
• 3:54
  there.
• 3:55
  The
• 3:55
  other
• 3:55
  stuff
• 3:55
  out
• 3:55
  there,
• 3:56
  go
• 3:56
  board.
• 3:57
  Not
• 3:57
  my
• 3:57
  fan.
• 3:58
  It's.
• 3:58
  There's
• 3:58
  a
• 3:58
  lot
• 3:58
  of
• 3:59
  people
• 3:59
  that
• 3:59
  swear
• 3:59
  by
• 3:59
  it
• 4:00
  and
• 4:00
  I'm
• 4:00
  okay
• 4:00
  with
• 4:00
  that.
• 4:00
  It's
• 4:00
  still
• 4:01
  better
• 4:01
  than
• 4:01
  concrete
• 4:02
  board.
• 4:02
  But
• 4:03
  if
• 4:03
  you're
• 4:03
  buying
• 4:03
  concrete
• 4:04
  board
• 4:04
  to
• 4:04
  put
• 4:05
  tile
• 4:05
  on,
• 4:05
  there's
• 4:06
  better
• 4:06
  materials
• 4:07
  out
• 4:07
  there.
• 4:07
  So
• 4:08
  my
• 4:08
  first
• 4:08
  one
• 4:09
  here
• 4:09
  on
• 4:09
  the
• 4:09
  list
• 4:09
  today
• 4:10
  is
• 4:10
  just
• 4:11
  get
• 4:11
  rid
• 4:11
  of
• 4:11
  the
• 4:11
  concrete
• 4:12
  board
• 4:13
  and
• 4:13
  install
• 4:13
  it
• 4:14
  using
• 4:14
  more
• 4:14
  updated
• 4:15
  materials.
• 4:15
  It's
• 4:16
  like
• 4:16
  people
• 4:16
  that
• 4:16
  I
• 4:16
  see
• 4:17
  out
• 4:17
  there
• 4:18
  making
• 4:18
  the
• 4:19
  mistake.
• 4:20
  Building
• 4:20
  a
• 4:20
  shower
• 4:21
  out
• 4:21
  of
• 4:22
  green
• 4:22
  drywall.
• 4:23
  That
• 4:24
  green
• 4:24
  is
• 4:24
  moisture
• 4:25
  resistant
• 4:26
  and
• 4:26
  I
• 4:26
  guarantee
• 4:27
  failure
• 4:27
  by
• 4:28
  hanging
• 4:29
  tile
• 4:29
  in
• 4:30
  a
• 4:30
  shower
• 4:31
  on
• 4:31
  drywall.
• 4:32
  Horrible
• 4:32
  idea.
• 4:33
  Not
• 4:33
  going
• 4:33
  to
• 4:33
  work
• 4:34
  long
• 4:34
  term.
• 4:34
  You
• 4:34
  will
• 4:35
  end
• 4:35
  up
• 4:35
  redoing
• 4:35
  it,
• 4:36
  especially
• 4:37
  now
• 4:37
  because
• 4:37
  of
• 4:38
  a
• 4:38
  couple
• 4:38
  reasons.
• 4:38
  I
• 4:39
  know
• 4:39
  people
• 4:39
  out
• 4:39
  there.
• 4:40
  I'm
• 4:40
  going
• 4:40
  to.
• 4:40
  I
• 4:41
  can
• 4:41
  hear
• 4:41
  that
• 4:41
  30
• 4:42
  year
• 4:43
  veteran
• 4:43
  of
• 4:43
  tile
• 4:44
  going,
• 4:44
  I've
• 4:44
  done
• 4:44
  this
• 4:44
  for
• 4:45
  30
• 4:45
  years.
• 4:45
  I've
• 4:45
  never
• 4:46
  gotten
• 4:46
  a
• 4:46
  callback.
• 4:47
  First
• 4:47
  off,
• 4:48
  the
• 4:48
  gr,
• 4:48
  the
• 4:48
  sheetrock
• 4:49
  of
• 4:49
  15
• 4:49
  years
• 4:50
  ago
• 4:50
  didn't
• 4:50
  have
• 4:50
  all
• 4:50
  the
• 4:51
  air
• 4:51
  in
• 4:51
  it
• 4:51
  that
• 4:51
  it
• 4:51
  has
• 4:52
  now.
• 4:52
  The
• 4:52
  lighter
• 4:52
  stuff,
• 4:52
  it
• 4:53
  was
• 4:53
  much
• 4:53
  heavier.
• 4:54
  So
• 4:54
  you
• 4:54
  had
• 4:54
  a
• 4:54
  little
• 4:55
  bit
• 4:55
  better
• 4:55
  chance.
• 4:56
  But
• 4:56
  odds
• 4:56
  are
• 4:57
  they
• 4:58
  didn't
• 4:58
  call
• 4:58
  you
• 4:58
  back
• 4:58
  to
• 4:58
  fix
• 4:58
  your
• 4:59
  mistakes.
• 5:00
  So
• 5:00
  don't
• 5:01
  use
• 5:01
  drywall
• 5:02
  unless
• 5:02
  it's
• 5:02
  like
• 5:02
  a
• 5:03
  kitchen
• 5:03
  backsplash
• 5:04
  or
• 5:04
  something
• 5:04
  like
• 5:04
  that.
• 5:04
  Totally
• 5:05
  get
• 5:05
  it.
• 5:05
  But
• 5:05
  drywall
• 5:06
  in
• 5:07
  a
• 5:07
  wet
• 5:07
  area
• 5:08
  should
• 5:08
  never
• 5:08
  be
• 5:09
  used
• 5:09
  behind
• 5:09
  tile,
• 5:10
  period.
• 5:11
  Tear
• 5:11
  it
• 5:11
  out,
• 5:12
  redo
• 5:12
  it,
• 5:13
  do
• 5:13
  it
• 5:13
  right.
• 5:14
  Drywall
• 5:15
  is
• 5:15
  the
• 5:15
  worst
• 5:16
  thing
• 5:16
  you
• 5:16
  can
• 5:16
  put
• 5:16
  back
• 5:16
  there.
• 5:17
  It's
• 5:17
  just
• 5:17
  not
• 5:18
  going
• 5:18
  to
• 5:18
  hold
• 5:18
  up.
• 5:19
  Really,
• 5:19
  all
• 5:19
  you're
• 5:19
  doing
• 5:20
  is
• 5:20
  taking
• 5:20
  now
• 5:20
  what's
• 5:21
  lighter
• 5:21
  drywall,
• 5:22
  which
• 5:22
  dents
• 5:23
  easier,
• 5:23
  which
• 5:23
  comes
• 5:24
  apart
• 5:24
  easier
• 5:25
  because
• 5:25
  there's
• 5:25
  air
• 5:25
  in
• 5:26
  the
• 5:26
  mixture.
• 5:26
  You're
• 5:27
  assuming
• 5:28
  that
• 5:28
  layer
• 5:28
  of
• 5:29
  paper
• 5:29
  that
• 5:30
  you're
• 5:30
  bonding
• 5:30
  to
• 5:30
  is
• 5:31
  going
• 5:31
  to
• 5:31
  hold
• 5:31
  and
• 5:32
  it
• 5:32
  won't.
• 5:32
  It
• 5:33
  will
• 5:33
  fail.
• 5:34
  Especially
• 5:34
  when
• 5:34
  you
• 5:35
  introduce
• 5:35
  moisture
• 5:35
  to
• 5:35
  it.
• 5:36
  So
• 5:37
  let's
• 5:37
  bag
• 5:38
  on
• 5:38
  those
• 5:38
  systems
• 5:38
  and
• 5:39
  get
• 5:39
  back
• 5:39
  to
• 5:39
  tile
• 5:39
  systems
• 5:40
  here
• 5:40
  that
• 5:40
  have
• 5:40
  been
• 5:40
  around
• 5:41
  for
• 5:41
  a
• 5:41
  while.
• 5:42
  They
• 5:42
  work
• 5:42
  great,
• 5:43
  they're
• 5:44
  durable,
• 5:44
  they're
• 5:45
  waterproof,
• 5:46
  Even
• 5:46
  stuff
• 5:47
  like
• 5:47
  wedi's
• 5:48
  vapor
• 5:48
  85
• 5:49
  is
• 5:50
  vapor
• 5:50
  proof
• 5:50
  so
• 5:51
  you
• 5:51
  can
• 5:51
  use
• 5:51
  it
• 5:51
  in
• 5:51
  a
• 5:51
  steam
• 5:52
  shower.
• 5:52
  Most
• 5:53
  of
• 5:53
  the
• 5:53
  other
• 5:53
  systems
• 5:53
  aren't
• 5:54
  if
• 5:54
  you
• 5:55
  read
• 5:55
  through
• 5:55
  the
• 5:55
  specs.
• 5:56
  But
• 5:56
  really
• 5:56
  that's
• 5:57
  the
• 5:57
  big
• 5:57
  one
• 5:57
  right
• 5:57
  there.
• 5:58
  Let's
• 5:58
  stop
• 5:58
  using
• 5:58
  concrete
• 5:59
  board.
• 6:00
  It's
• 6:00
  out
• 6:00
  of
• 6:00
  date.
• 6:01
  Sorry
• 6:01
  guys.
• 6:02
  Next
• 6:03
  one
• 6:03
  up
• 6:04
  is
• 6:04
  one
• 6:04
  of
• 6:04
  the
• 6:04
  biggest
• 6:05
  ones
• 6:05
  on
• 6:05
  my
• 6:06
  list
• 6:06
  and
• 6:07
  I
• 6:07
  still
• 6:07
  see
• 6:07
  this
• 6:08
  being
• 6:08
  used
• 6:08
  in
• 6:09
  Texas
• 6:10
  and
• 6:10
  Florida,
• 6:11
  certain
• 6:12
  states
• 6:12
  around
• 6:12
  the
• 6:12
  country.
• 6:13
  You
• 6:13
  guys.
• 6:14
  Oh,
• 6:15
  the
• 6:15
  worst
• 6:16
  plumbing
• 6:16
  material
• 6:17
  next
• 6:17
  to
• 6:17
  the
• 6:18
  black
• 6:18
  poly
• 6:18
  pipe
• 6:19
  that
• 6:19
  I
• 6:19
  see
• 6:19
  out
• 6:20
  there
• 6:20
  is
• 6:21
  cpvc.
• 6:22
  Now
• 6:22
  you're
• 6:23
  thinking,
• 6:23
  oh,
• 6:24
  I
• 6:24
  don't
• 6:24
  know
• 6:24
  that
• 6:25
  much
• 6:25
  about
• 6:25
  plumbing,
• 6:25
  but
• 6:25
  I
• 6:26
  know
• 6:26
  white
• 6:26
  PVC
• 6:27
  like
• 6:27
  sprinkler
• 6:27
  pipe.
• 6:28
  Now
• 6:28
  I'm
• 6:28
  talking
• 6:29
  about
• 6:29
  the
• 6:29
  yellow,
• 6:30
  cream
• 6:30
  yellow
• 6:31
  stuff.
• 6:31
  This
• 6:32
  is
• 6:32
  rated
• 6:32
  for
• 6:32
  hot
• 6:32
  and
• 6:33
  cold
• 6:33
  water.
• 6:33
  There
• 6:34
  were
• 6:34
  so
• 6:35
  many
• 6:35
  class
• 6:35
  action
• 6:36
  lawsuits
• 6:36
  that
• 6:37
  most
• 6:37
  of
• 6:37
  the
• 6:37
  companies
• 6:38
  that
• 6:38
  were
• 6:38
  making
• 6:38
  it
• 6:39
  15
• 6:39
  years
• 6:40
  ago
• 6:40
  are
• 6:41
  long
• 6:41
  gone.
• 6:42
  And
• 6:42
  that's
• 6:42
  because
• 6:43
  this
• 6:44
  material,
• 6:45
  when
• 6:45
  it
• 6:46
  was
• 6:46
  sitting
• 6:46
  on
• 6:46
  the
• 6:46
  job
• 6:46
  site,
• 6:47
  it's
• 6:47
  not
• 6:47
  rated
• 6:47
  for
• 6:47
  UV
• 6:48
  at
• 6:48
  all.
• 6:49
  Many
• 6:49
  times
• 6:50
  it
• 6:50
  was
• 6:50
  sitting
• 6:50
  on
• 6:50
  the
• 6:50
  job
• 6:50
  site
• 6:51
  for
• 6:51
  a
• 6:51
  week
• 6:51
  or
• 6:51
  two
• 6:52
  and
• 6:52
  that
• 6:52
  was
• 6:53
  enough
• 6:53
  sun
• 6:54
  to
• 6:54
  bake
• 6:54
  it
• 6:54
  out
• 6:55
  and
• 6:55
  break
• 6:56
  it
• 6:56
  down.
• 6:56
  And
• 6:57
  10
• 6:57
  years
• 6:57
  later
• 6:58
  that
• 6:58
  stuff
• 6:59
  is
• 7:00
  busting,
• 7:01
  cracking,
• 7:02
  splitting.
• 7:03
  I
• 7:03
  had
• 7:03
  a
• 7:04
  house
• 7:04
  with
• 7:04
  this
• 7:04
  in
• 7:04
  it
• 7:05
  at
• 7:05
  one
• 7:05
  point
• 7:05
  that
• 7:06
  I
• 7:06
  could
• 7:06
  sit
• 7:06
  there,
• 7:07
  be
• 7:07
  watching
• 7:08
  TV
• 7:08
  and
• 7:08
  I
• 7:09
  hear
• 7:09
  in
• 7:09
  my
• 7:09
  crawl
• 7:09
  space
• 7:10
  of
• 7:11
  hear
• 7:11
  running
• 7:12
  water
• 7:12
  and
• 7:13
  I
• 7:13
  would
• 7:13
  have
• 7:13
  a
• 7:13
  fitting
• 7:14
  or
• 7:14
  a
• 7:14
  piece
• 7:15
  of
• 7:15
  pipe
• 7:15
  that
• 7:15
  just
• 7:15
  split
• 7:16
  down
• 7:16
  the
• 7:16
  side
• 7:16
  in
• 7:17
  the
• 7:17
  middle
• 7:17
  of
• 7:17
  the
• 7:17
  summer.
• 7:18
  That
• 7:18
  stuff
• 7:19
  fails
• 7:19
  so
• 7:20
  badly
• 7:20
  and
• 7:21
  all
• 7:21
  you
• 7:21
  can
• 7:21
  do
• 7:21
  with
• 7:21
  a
• 7:22
  house
• 7:22
  with
• 7:22
  that
• 7:23
  is
• 7:23
  literally
• 7:24
  replum
• 7:25
  it.
• 7:25
  That's
• 7:26
  all
• 7:26
  you
• 7:26
  can
• 7:26
  do
• 7:27
  is
• 7:27
  start
• 7:28
  the
• 7:28
  heck
• 7:29
  over.
• 7:29
  CBVC
• 7:31
  is
• 7:32
  absolute
• 7:33
  garbage
• 7:33
  in
• 7:33
  my
• 7:33
  opinion.
• 7:34
  And
• 7:35
  it
• 7:35
  will
• 7:35
  cost
• 7:36
  you
• 7:36
  so
• 7:36
  much.
• 7:36
  I
• 7:37
  know
• 7:37
  so
• 7:37
  many
• 7:37
  people
• 7:37
  that
• 7:37
  had
• 7:38
  it
• 7:38
  put
• 7:38
  in
• 7:38
  90s
• 7:38
  and
• 7:39
  2000s
• 7:39
  and
• 7:39
  homes
• 7:40
  here
• 7:40
  in
• 7:40
  my
• 7:41
  area
• 7:41
  in
• 7:41
  the
• 7:41
  Pacific
• 7:41
  Northwest
• 7:42
  and
• 7:43
  they're
• 7:43
  now
• 7:44
  paying
• 7:44
  10,
• 7:45
  15
• 7:45
  grand
• 7:45
  to
• 7:46
  have
• 7:46
  that
• 7:46
  house
• 7:46
  completely
• 7:47
  replumbed
• 7:48
  and
• 7:48
  it's
• 7:48
  a
• 7:49
  newer
• 7:49
  house
• 7:49
  to
• 7:49
  get
• 7:49
  rid
• 7:49
  of
• 7:50
  it.
• 7:50
  So
• 7:51
  if
• 7:51
  you're
• 7:51
  out
• 7:52
  looking
• 7:52
  at
• 7:52
  houses
• 7:53
  and
• 7:53
  there's
• 7:53
  CPVC
• 7:54
  in
• 7:54
  there,
• 7:54
  I
• 7:55
  would
• 7:55
  just
• 7:55
  go
• 7:55
  to
• 7:55
  the
• 7:55
  next
• 7:56
  one
• 7:56
  or
• 7:57
  if
• 7:57
  it's
• 7:57
  something
• 7:57
  that's
• 7:57
  in
• 7:57
  a
• 7:57
  little
• 7:58
  area,
• 7:58
  replace
• 7:58
  it.
• 7:59
  But
• 7:59
  that
• 8:00
  stuff
• 8:00
  is
• 8:01
  absolute
• 8:02
  nightmare
• 8:03
  for
• 8:04
  failures.
• 8:05
  And
• 8:05
  make
• 8:05
  sure
• 8:05
  and
• 8:06
  put
• 8:06
  a
• 8:06
  water
• 8:07
  system
• 8:08
  on
• 8:08
  there,
• 8:08
  a
• 8:08
  control
• 8:08
  valve
• 8:09
  that's
• 8:09
  a
• 8:09
  leak
• 8:09
  detection
• 8:10
  type.
• 8:11
  There's
• 8:11
  the
• 8:11
  ones
• 8:11
  out
• 8:11
  there,
• 8:12
  different
• 8:12
  brands,
• 8:13
  you
• 8:13
  can
• 8:13
  put
• 8:13
  them
• 8:13
  in
• 8:13
  line
• 8:14
  right
• 8:15
  when
• 8:15
  a
• 8:15
  water
• 8:15
  comes
• 8:15
  into
• 8:15
  the
• 8:15
  house
• 8:16
  and
• 8:16
  that
• 8:16
  way
• 8:16
  when
• 8:16
  it
• 8:16
  detects
• 8:17
  a
• 8:17
  leak,
• 8:18
  it'll
• 8:18
  turn
• 8:18
  the
• 8:18
  water
• 8:19
  off
• 8:19
  to
• 8:19
  the
• 8:19
  house
• 8:19
  for
• 8:19
  you.
• 8:20
  That
• 8:20
  way
• 8:20
  you
• 8:20
  can
• 8:21
  stop
• 8:21
  the
• 8:21
  damage
• 8:22
  before
• 8:22
  it
• 8:22
  gets
• 8:22
  too
• 8:23
  bad.
• 8:23
  But
• 8:23
  that's
• 8:23
  the
• 8:23
  first
• 8:24
  thing
• 8:24
  I
• 8:24
  would
• 8:24
  install.
• 8:25
  If
• 8:25
  you
• 8:25
  have
• 8:26
  CPVC
• 8:27
  plumbed
• 8:28
  in
• 8:28
  your
• 8:28
  house.
• 8:29
  And
• 8:29
  be
• 8:29
  very
• 8:30
  careful
• 8:30
  cutting
• 8:31
  with
• 8:31
  that,
• 8:31
  cutting
• 8:31
  the
• 8:32
  pipe.
• 8:32
  Because
• 8:32
  if
• 8:32
  you
• 8:33
  use
• 8:33
  your
• 8:33
  regular
• 8:33
  plastic
• 8:34
  cutting,
• 8:34
  almost
• 8:35
  like
• 8:35
  the
• 8:35
  snips,
• 8:36
  you
• 8:36
  can
• 8:37
  break
• 8:37
  that.
• 8:37
  And
• 8:37
  a
• 8:37
  month
• 8:38
  later
• 8:38
  you
• 8:39
  want
• 8:39
  to
• 8:39
  definitely
• 8:40
  saw
• 8:41
  the
• 8:41
  pipe.
• 8:42
  Because
• 8:42
  that
• 8:42
  stuff
• 8:42
  is
• 8:43
  so
• 8:43
  brittle,
• 8:43
  it
• 8:44
  can
• 8:44
  be
• 8:44
  like
• 8:44
  glass.
• 8:45
  So
• 8:45
  be
• 8:45
  very
• 8:46
  careful
• 8:46
  working
• 8:46
  around
• 8:47
  it.
• 8:47
  If
• 8:47
  you're
• 8:48
  going
• 8:48
  to
• 8:48
  be
• 8:48
  taking
• 8:48
  a
• 8:48
  sink
• 8:49
  out,
• 8:49
  I
• 8:49
  always
• 8:49
  tell
• 8:49
  people,
• 8:50
  go
• 8:51
  turn
• 8:51
  the
• 8:51
  water
• 8:51
  off
• 8:51
  to
• 8:52
  the
• 8:52
  house
• 8:52
  first.
• 8:53
  Just
• 8:53
  be
• 8:53
  very
• 8:54
  careful
• 8:54
  with
• 8:54
  the
• 8:54
  stuff.
• 8:54
  Because
• 8:55
  it
• 8:55
  is
• 8:55
  like
• 8:55
  glass.
• 8:55
  It
• 8:55
  is
• 8:56
  that
• 8:56
  brittle.
• 8:57
  So
• 8:57
  be
• 8:57
  very
• 8:58
  careful.
• 8:58
  And
• 8:59
  the
• 8:59
  same
• 8:59
  with
• 8:59
  galvanized
• 8:59
  pipe.
• 9:00
  We
• 9:00
  know
• 9:00
  the
• 9:00
  galvanized
• 9:01
  pipe
• 9:01
  does
• 9:01
  not
• 9:01
  last.
• 9:02
  It
• 9:02
  just
• 9:03
  doesn't
• 9:03
  hold
• 9:03
  up.
• 9:03
  So
• 9:04
  if
• 9:04
  you've
• 9:04
  got
• 9:04
  that
• 9:04
  1940s,
• 9:05
  50s
• 9:05
  house,
• 9:06
  maybe
• 9:06
  even
• 9:07
  early
• 9:07
  60s
• 9:07
  house
• 9:08
  with
• 9:08
  it
• 9:08
  in
• 9:08
  there,
• 9:08
  you
• 9:08
  now
• 9:09
  are
• 9:09
  realizing
• 9:09
  that
• 9:09
  you
• 9:09
  have
• 9:10
  no
• 9:10
  water
• 9:10
  pressure
• 9:11
  and
• 9:11
  no
• 9:11
  water
• 9:11
  volume.
• 9:12
  And
• 9:12
  that's
• 9:12
  because
• 9:13
  of
• 9:13
  that
• 9:13
  galvanized
• 9:14
  pipe
• 9:14
  that
• 9:14
  you
• 9:15
  need
• 9:15
  to
• 9:15
  go
• 9:15
  and
• 9:15
  replace
• 9:15
  it.
• 9:16
  So
• 9:16
  both
• 9:16
  of
• 9:16
  those,
• 9:17
  you're
• 9:17
  not
• 9:17
  seeing
• 9:18
  galvanized
• 9:18
  in
• 9:18
  people's
• 9:19
  houses
• 9:19
  anymore
• 9:20
  for
• 9:20
  a
• 9:20
  reason.
• 9:21
  And
• 9:21
  let's
• 9:21
  make
• 9:21
  sure
• 9:22
  that
• 9:22
  we
• 9:22
  keep
• 9:23
  CPVC
• 9:24
  the
• 9:25
  same
• 9:25
  way.
• 9:26
  Now,
• 9:26
  if
• 9:26
  you
• 9:26
  want
• 9:26
  to
• 9:27
  add
• 9:27
  a
• 9:27
  material
• 9:27
  to
• 9:27
  this
• 9:28
  list,
• 9:28
  I'd
• 9:28
  love
• 9:29
  to
• 9:29
  hear
• 9:29
  it.
• 9:29
  You
• 9:29
  can
• 9:29
  head
• 9:30
  over
• 9:30
  to
• 9:30
  aroundthehouse
• 9:31
  online.com,
• 9:32
  go
• 9:32
  on
• 9:32
  the
• 9:32
  website.
• 9:33
  There's
• 9:33
  a
• 9:33
  contact
• 9:33
  me
• 9:34
  thing
• 9:34
  that
• 9:34
  comes
• 9:34
  right
• 9:34
  to
• 9:34
  my
• 9:35
  inbox.
• 9:35
  Send
• 9:35
  me
• 9:36
  a
• 9:36
  message.
• 9:36
  I
• 9:36
  always
• 9:36
  get
• 9:36
  back
• 9:36
  to
• 9:37
  you.
• 9:37
  And
• 9:37
  that
• 9:38
  is
• 9:38
  the
• 9:38
  best
• 9:38
  way
• 9:38
  to
• 9:39
  get
• 9:39
  a
• 9:39
  hold
• 9:39
  of
• 9:39
  me
• 9:39
  there.
• 9:40
  Because
• 9:40
  I'd
• 9:40
  like
• 9:40
  to
• 9:41
  hear.
• 9:41
  I'm
• 9:41
  sure
• 9:42
  I'm
• 9:42
  gonna
• 9:42
  have
• 9:42
  tile
• 9:42
  guys
• 9:43
  screaming
• 9:43
  about
• 9:43
  the
• 9:43
  concrete
• 9:44
  board.
• 9:44
  Cause
• 9:44
  they've
• 9:44
  been
• 9:44
  doing
• 9:44
  it
• 9:45
  that
• 9:45
  way.
• 9:45
  Blah,
• 9:46
  blah,
• 9:46
  blah,
• 9:46
  blah.
• 9:46
  I
• 9:47
  know
• 9:47
  those
• 9:47
  are
• 9:47
  coming.
• 9:48
  And
• 9:48
  if
• 9:48
  you
• 9:48
  want
• 9:48
  to
• 9:49
  waste
• 9:49
  your
• 9:49
  time
• 9:49
  on
• 9:49
  that
• 9:49
  one,
• 9:50
  you're
• 9:50
  not
• 9:50
  going
• 9:50
  to
• 9:50
  talk
• 9:50
  me
• 9:51
  out
• 9:51
  of
• 9:51
  it.
• 9:51
  But
• 9:51
  that's
• 9:52
  just
• 9:52
  a
• 9:52
  product
• 9:52
  that
• 9:52
  is
• 9:52
  way
• 9:53
  outdated.
• 9:53
  CPVC
• 9:54
  pipe.
• 9:55
  There's
• 9:55
  no
• 9:55
  debate
• 9:55
  on
• 9:55
  that
• 9:55
  one
• 9:56
  either.
• 9:57
  So
• 9:57
  we've
• 9:57
  got
• 9:57
  so
• 9:57
  much
• 9:58
  more
• 9:58
  when
• 9:58
  we
• 9:58
  come
• 9:58
  back,
• 9:59
  I
• 9:59
  want
• 9:59
  you
• 9:59
  to
• 10:00
  catch.
• 10:00
  We're
• 10:00
  going
• 10:01
  to
• 10:01
  get
• 10:01
  into
• 10:01
  siding.
• 10:02
  We're
• 10:02
  going
• 10:02
  to
• 10:02
  get
• 10:03
  into
• 10:03
  a
• 10:03
  bunch
• 10:04
  of
• 10:04
  different
• 10:04
  stuff
• 10:04
  out
• 10:05
  there.
• 10:05
  Countertops,
• 10:06
  flooring.
• 10:07
  Don't
• 10:08
  worry.
• 10:08
  There's
• 10:08
  a
• 10:09
  lot
• 10:09
  of
• 10:09
  products
• 10:09
  coming
• 10:09
  up
• 10:10
  that
• 10:10
  might
• 10:10
  be
• 10:10
  shocking
• 10:11
  to
• 10:11
  you.
• 10:11
  If
• 10:11
  you
• 10:12
  want

  to

  it's
• 12:28

  to

  talking
• 13:42
  today
• 13:42
  about
• 13:42
  my
• 13:42
  top
• 13:43
  10
• 13:43
  outdated
• 13:43
  materials
• 13:44
  or
• 13:44
  installation
• 13:45
  methods
• 13:45
  that
• 13:45
  should
• 13:46
  be
• 13:46
  retired.
• 13:47
  And
• 13:47
  this
• 13:47
  next
• 13:47
  one,
• 13:48
  again
• 13:48
  is
• 13:48
  going
• 13:48
  to
• 13:48
  be
• 13:48
  controversial
• 13:49
  because
• 13:49
  I
• 13:49
  think
• 13:50
  with
• 13:50
  larger
• 13:51
  format
• 13:52
  tile,
• 13:53
  you
• 13:53
  can
• 13:53
  maybe
• 13:54
  convince
• 13:55
  me
• 13:55
  that
• 13:55
  there's
• 13:55
  a
• 13:55
  good
• 13:56
  reason
• 13:56
  for
• 13:56
  this.
• 13:57
  But
• 13:57
  I'd
• 13:57
  love
• 13:58
  to
• 13:58
  see
• 13:58
  tile
• 13:59
  countertops
• 14:00
  go
• 14:00
  the
• 14:01
  wayside.
• 14:01
  It
• 14:02
  is
• 14:02
  so
• 14:02
  tough
• 14:03
  to
• 14:03
  get
• 14:04
  tile
• 14:04
  countertops
• 14:04
  to
• 14:05
  look
• 14:05
  really
• 14:05
  good.
• 14:06
  Now
• 14:06
  if
• 14:07
  you.
• 14:07
  I
• 14:07
  have
• 14:07
  exceptions
• 14:08
  to
• 14:08
  this.
• 14:09
  If
• 14:09
  you're
• 14:09
  doing
• 14:10
  something
• 14:10
  with
• 14:10
  a
• 14:10
  lot
• 14:10
  of
• 14:10
  pattern
• 14:11
  and
• 14:12
  you
• 14:12
  want
• 14:12
  it
• 14:12
  to
• 14:12
  look
• 14:13
  more
• 14:14
  Italian
• 14:15
  or
• 14:15
  more
• 14:15
  Greek
• 14:16
  or
• 14:17
  something
• 14:17
  like
• 14:17
  that,
• 14:18
  I
• 14:18
  can
• 14:18
  get
• 14:18
  into
• 14:19
  this
• 14:19
  because
• 14:19
  you're
• 14:19
  trying
• 14:20
  to
• 14:20
  make
• 14:20
  it
• 14:20
  look
• 14:20
  like
• 14:21
  something
• 14:21
  from
• 14:22
  Europe
• 14:22
  or
• 14:23
  something
• 14:23
  from
• 14:24
  south
• 14:24
  or
• 14:24
  Central
• 14:25
  America.
• 14:25
  I
• 14:25
  get
• 14:26
  it
• 14:26
  and
• 14:27
  I
• 14:27
  can
• 14:27
  go
• 14:27
  with
• 14:27
  that
• 14:27
  style.
• 14:28
  But
• 14:29
  just
• 14:29
  trying
• 14:29
  to
• 14:30
  be
• 14:30
  inexpensive
• 14:30
  and
• 14:31
  putting
• 14:31
  in
• 14:31
  there
• 14:31
  12
• 14:32
  by
• 14:32
  12
• 14:32
  tiles,
• 14:33
  please
• 14:34
  save
• 14:35
  yourself.
• 14:35
  You're
• 14:36
  not
• 14:36
  adding
• 14:36
  a
• 14:36
  lot
• 14:36
  of
• 14:37
  value
• 14:37
  to
• 14:37
  the
• 14:37
  kitchen
• 14:38
  with
• 14:38
  that.
• 14:38
  Most
• 14:38
  people
• 14:39
  walk
• 14:39
  in
• 14:39
  and
• 14:39
  go,
• 14:39
  you
• 14:40
  tile.
• 14:41
  So
• 14:41
  if
• 14:41
  you're
• 14:42
  going
• 14:42
  to
• 14:42
  do
• 14:42
  it,
• 14:43
  make
• 14:43
  it
• 14:43
  spectacular.
• 14:44
  Because
• 14:45
  tile
• 14:45
  countertops
• 14:46
  are
• 14:46
  so
• 14:46
  hard
• 14:47
  to
• 14:47
  maintain
• 14:48
  unless
• 14:48
  you
• 14:49
  take
• 14:49
  the
• 14:49
  time
• 14:49
  and
• 14:49
  use
• 14:50
  the
• 14:50
  right
• 14:50
  grout
• 14:51
  and
• 14:52
  you
• 14:52
  do
• 14:52
  it
• 14:52
  correctly.
• 14:53
  I
• 14:53
  like
• 14:54
  using
• 14:54
  like
• 14:54
  the
• 14:54
  ardex
• 14:55
  grout.
• 14:55
  So
• 14:55
  when
• 14:55
  you
• 14:55
  get
• 14:56
  in
• 14:56
  there,
• 14:56
  it's.
• 14:56
  You
• 14:57
  don't
• 14:57
  have
• 14:57
  to
• 14:57
  go
• 14:57
  back
• 14:57
  and
• 14:57
  seal
• 14:58
  it.
• 14:58
  It's
• 14:58
  going
• 14:59
  to
• 14:59
  stay
• 14:59
  clean
• 14:59
  looking.
• 15:00
  You
• 15:00
  can
• 15:00
  still.
• 15:00
  You
• 15:00
  still
• 15:00
  got
• 15:01
  to
• 15:01
  clean
• 15:01
  it,
• 15:01
  but
• 15:02
  you
• 15:02
  won't
• 15:02
  have
• 15:02
  to
• 15:02
  do
• 15:02
  all
• 15:02
  the
• 15:03
  maintenance
• 15:03
  with
• 15:03
  the
• 15:04
  resealing
• 15:04
  and
• 15:04
  stuff
• 15:04
  on
• 15:05
  it.
• 15:05
  That's
• 15:05
  a
• 15:05
  good
• 15:06
  way
• 15:06
  to
• 15:06
  go.
• 15:07
  But
• 15:07
  tile
• 15:08
  countertops
• 15:08
  to
• 15:08
  me
• 15:09
  are
• 15:09
  something
• 15:10
  we
• 15:10
  should
• 15:10
  be
• 15:10
  sending
• 15:11
  down
• 15:11
  the
• 15:11
  road.
• 15:12
  Unless
• 15:12
  you're
• 15:13
  trying
• 15:13
  to
• 15:13
  do
• 15:13
  something
• 15:13
  very
• 15:14
  European
• 15:15
  or
• 15:15
  international
• 15:16
  that
• 15:16
  I
• 15:16
  totally
• 15:17
  get
• 15:17
  that
• 15:17
  look
• 15:18
  and
• 15:18
  I'm
• 15:18
  cool
• 15:18
  with
• 15:19
  that.
• 15:19
  But
• 15:20
  just
• 15:20
  your
• 15:20
  12
• 15:20
  by
• 15:21
  12
• 15:21
  granite
• 15:21
  countertop,
• 15:22
  please.
• 15:23
  Let's
• 15:23
  make
• 15:23
  that
• 15:23
  go
• 15:24
  away.
• 15:24
  The
• 15:25
  next
• 15:25
  up
• 15:25
  here
• 15:25
  is
• 15:26
  going
• 15:26
  to
• 15:26
  be
• 15:27
  controversial
• 15:28
  and
• 15:28
  I'm
• 15:28
  even
• 15:28
  going
• 15:28
  to
• 15:28
  make
• 15:29
  a
• 15:29
  couple
• 15:29
  companies
• 15:29
  that
• 15:30
  I
• 15:30
  work
• 15:30
  with.
• 15:31
  Not
• 15:31
  happy
• 15:31
  about
• 15:32
  this
• 15:32
  one,
• 15:32
  but
• 15:33
  I
• 15:33
  would
• 15:33
  love
• 15:33
  to
• 15:33
  see
• 15:34
  vinyl
• 15:35
  siding
• 15:36
  disappear.
• 15:37
  Sorry,
• 15:37
  vinyl
• 15:37
  siding
• 15:38
  companies.
• 15:39
  Here's
• 15:39
  why
• 15:40
  I
• 15:40
  have
• 15:40
  a
• 15:40
  couple
• 15:41
  problems
• 15:41
  with
• 15:41
  it.
• 15:42
  When
• 15:42
  it
• 15:42
  first
• 15:43
  came
• 15:43
  out,
• 15:43
  it
• 15:43
  was
• 15:44
  designed
• 15:44
  to
• 15:44
  be
• 15:45
  the
• 15:45
  be
• 15:45
  all
• 15:45
  lifetime
• 15:46
  type
• 15:46
  warranty
• 15:47
  material.
• 15:48
  And
• 15:48
  it
• 15:48
  was.
• 15:48
  We
• 15:48
  all
• 15:49
  know
• 15:49
  vinyl
• 15:50
  likes
• 15:51
  to
• 15:51
  have
• 15:51
  mold,
• 15:51
  mildew,
• 15:52
  all
• 15:52
  that
• 15:52
  stuff,
• 15:53
  grow
• 15:53
  on
• 15:53
  it,
• 15:54
  get
• 15:54
  dirty.
• 15:55
  The
• 15:55
  longer
• 15:55
  it's
• 15:55
  up
• 15:56
  there,
• 15:56
  it
• 15:56
  can
• 15:56
  get
• 15:57
  brittle,
• 15:57
  it
• 15:57
  can
• 15:58
  yellow
• 15:58
  or
• 15:58
  discolor.
• 15:59
  And
• 15:59
  then
• 15:59
  at
• 15:59
  some
• 15:59
  point
• 16:00
  you
• 16:00
  get
• 16:00
  to
• 16:00
  this
• 16:00
  point
• 16:01
  where
• 16:01
  you're
• 16:01
  like,
• 16:01
  okay,
• 16:01
  what
• 16:02
  do
• 16:02
  I
• 16:02
  got
• 16:02
  to
• 16:02
  do
• 16:02
  paint
• 16:02
  it?
• 16:03
  That's
• 16:03
  never
• 16:03
  a
• 16:04
  good
• 16:04
  idea
• 16:04
  unless
• 16:04
  you're
• 16:05
  painting
• 16:05
  it
• 16:05
  the
• 16:05
  same
• 16:05
  color.
• 16:06
  But
• 16:06
  if
• 16:07
  you're
• 16:07
  painting
• 16:07
  vinyl
• 16:07
  siding,
• 16:08
  then
• 16:08
  why
• 16:08
  do
• 16:08
  you
• 16:08
  have
• 16:09
  vinyl
• 16:09
  siding
• 16:09
  on
• 16:09
  there
• 16:09
  to
• 16:10
  begin
• 16:10
  with?
• 16:10
  And
• 16:10
  then
• 16:10
  there's
• 16:11
  the
• 16:11
  safety
• 16:11
  stuff.
• 16:11
  What
• 16:12
  I
• 16:12
  don't
• 16:12
  like
• 16:12
  about
• 16:12
  it
• 16:12
  is
• 16:12
  if
• 16:13
  you
• 16:13
  have
• 16:13
  a
• 16:13
  house
• 16:14
  right
• 16:14
  next
• 16:14
  door
• 16:15
  that's
• 16:15
  on
• 16:15
  fire
• 16:15
  to
• 16:15
  yours,
• 16:16
  good
• 16:17
  chance
• 16:17
  of
• 16:17
  that
• 16:17
  melting
• 16:17
  down
• 16:18
  the
• 16:18
  side,
• 16:18
  maybe
• 16:18
  catching
• 16:19
  on
• 16:19
  fire,
• 16:20
  exposing
• 16:20
  the
• 16:21
  side
• 16:21
  to
• 16:21
  weather,
• 16:22
  water,
• 16:22
  everything
• 16:22
  else.
• 16:23
  It's
• 16:24
  just
• 16:24
  not
• 16:25
  a
• 16:25
  durable
• 16:26
  material.
• 16:27
  In
• 16:27
  most
• 16:28
  cases,
• 16:28
  it's
• 16:29
  just
• 16:29
  something
• 16:30
  that
• 16:30
  the
• 16:30
  kids
• 16:31
  tennis
• 16:31
  ball
• 16:31
  pokes
• 16:32
  a
• 16:32
  hole
• 16:32
  in
• 16:32
  it.
• 16:33
  If
• 16:33
  you
• 16:33
  have
• 16:34
  hail
• 16:34
  driving,
• 16:34
  it
• 16:34
  can
• 16:35
  shred
• 16:35
  it
• 16:35
  off
• 16:35
  the
• 16:35
  side
• 16:35
  of
• 16:36
  the
• 16:36
  house.
• 16:36
  If
• 16:37
  there's
• 16:37
  a
• 16:37
  lot
• 16:37
  of
• 16:38
  things
• 16:38
  that
• 16:38
  can
• 16:38
  go
• 16:38
  wrong
• 16:38
  with
• 16:39
  it,
• 16:39
  I
• 16:40
  would
• 16:40
  much
• 16:40
  rather
• 16:41
  see
• 16:41
  a
• 16:41
  product
• 16:41
  go
• 16:41
  on
• 16:42
  there
• 16:42
  that
• 16:43
  is
• 16:43
  a
• 16:43
  concrete
• 16:44
  type.
• 16:45
  Something
• 16:45
  like
• 16:46
  that
• 16:46
  is
• 16:46
  going
• 16:46
  to
• 16:46
  be
• 16:47
  more
• 16:47
  durable,
• 16:48
  more
• 16:48
  resistant
• 16:49
  to
• 16:49
  heat.
• 16:50
  Something
• 16:50
  that
• 16:50
  you
• 16:50
  can
• 16:51
  paint
• 16:51
  and
• 16:51
  change
• 16:51
  the
• 16:51
  color
• 16:52
  on.
• 16:52
  So
• 16:53
  many
• 16:53
  people
• 16:53
  in
• 16:54
  the
• 16:54
  80s
• 16:54
  and
• 16:54
  90s
• 16:55
  and
• 16:55
  early
• 16:55
  2000s
• 16:56
  got
• 16:57
  the
• 16:57
  knocking
• 16:58
  on
• 16:58
  the
• 16:58
  door,
• 16:58
  hey,
• 16:59
  I
• 16:59
  see
• 16:59
  your
• 16:59
  house
• 16:59
  needs
• 16:59
  painted.
• 17:00
  Why
• 17:00
  don't
• 17:00
  we
• 17:00
  save
• 17:00
  you
• 17:00
  some
• 17:01
  money?
• 17:01
  And
• 17:01
  for
• 17:01
  cheaper
• 17:02
  than
• 17:02
  a
• 17:02
  painting
• 17:02
  company,
• 17:03
  let's
• 17:03
  go
• 17:03
  in.
• 17:03
  And
• 17:03
  in
• 17:04
  a
• 17:04
  day
• 17:04
  and
• 17:04
  a
• 17:04
  half
• 17:04
  we'll
• 17:05
  put
• 17:05
  vinyl
• 17:05
  siding
• 17:05
  up
• 17:05
  there.
• 17:06
  These
• 17:06
  people
• 17:07
  went
• 17:07
  down
• 17:07
  the
• 17:07
  neighborhood
• 17:08
  and
• 17:08
  got
• 17:09
  this
• 17:09
  stuff
• 17:09
  going.
• 17:10
  But
• 17:10
  the
• 17:10
  problem
• 17:10
  was
• 17:11
  men
• 17:11
  of
• 17:11
  these
• 17:11
  older
• 17:12
  homes,
• 17:13
  they
• 17:13
  got
• 17:13
  vinyl
• 17:13
  siding
• 17:14
  put
• 17:14
  over
• 17:14
  the
• 17:14
  beautiful
• 17:15
  details
• 17:15
  that
• 17:15
  were
• 17:16
  hiding
• 17:16
  underneath
• 17:16
  it.
• 17:17
  Maybe
• 17:17
  it
• 17:17
  was
• 17:17
  cedar
• 17:18
  shingles,
• 17:18
  maybe
• 17:19
  it
• 17:19
  was
• 17:20
  some
• 17:20
  cool
• 17:20
  scalloped
• 17:22
  detail.
• 17:22
  And
• 17:23
  then
• 17:23
  people
• 17:23
  go
• 17:23
  in
• 17:23
  and
• 17:24
  go,
• 17:24
  wow,
• 17:24
  I
• 17:24
  can't
• 17:24
  believe
• 17:25
  when
• 17:25
  they
• 17:25
  take
• 17:25
  it
• 17:25
  off
• 17:26
  There,
• 17:26
  what's
• 17:26
  hiding
• 17:27
  underneath.
• 17:28
  It's
• 17:28
  like
• 17:28
  a
• 17:28
  big
• 17:28
  treasure
• 17:29
  hunt.
• 17:30
  So
• 17:30
  to
• 17:30
  me,
• 17:31
  I'd
• 17:31
  much
• 17:31
  rather
• 17:32
  see
• 17:32
  a
• 17:32
  house
• 17:32
  get
• 17:32
  restored
• 17:33
  back
• 17:33
  to
• 17:33
  its
• 17:33
  original
• 17:35
  and
• 17:35
  the
• 17:35
  vinyl
• 17:35
  siding
• 17:36
  go
• 17:36
  away.
• 17:36
  Even
• 17:37
  the
• 17:37
  manufactured
• 17:38
  home
• 17:38
  companies
• 17:39
  I
• 17:39
  work
• 17:39
  with
• 17:39
  don't
• 17:39
  use
• 17:40
  vital
• 17:40
  siding.
• 17:40
  They'll
• 17:41
  use
• 17:41
  Hardy
• 17:41
  Plank.
• 17:41
  They'll
• 17:42
  use
• 17:42
  concrete
• 17:43
  board,
• 17:43
  one
• 17:43
  of
• 17:43
  the
• 17:43
  other
• 17:44
  companies
• 17:44
  that
• 17:44
  make
• 17:45
  that
• 17:45
  type
• 17:45
  of
• 17:45
  stuff.
• 17:46
  Any
• 17:46
  one
• 17:46
  of
• 17:46
  the
• 17:47
  more
• 17:48
  fire
• 17:48
  resistant
• 17:48
  sightings,
• 17:49
  I
• 17:49
  love
• 17:49
  that.
• 17:50
  I
• 17:50
  just
• 17:51
  think
• 17:51
  final
• 17:51
  sighting
• 17:52
  doesn't
• 17:52
  hold
• 17:53
  up
• 17:53
  to
• 17:53
  heat.
• 17:53
  It's
• 17:53
  brittle
• 17:54
  and
• 17:54
  it
• 17:55
  doesn't
• 17:55
  hold
• 17:55
  the
• 17:56
  value.
• 17:56
  And
• 17:57
  to
• 17:57
  me,
• 17:57
  when
• 17:57
  it
• 17:57
  gets
• 17:57
  worn
• 17:58
  out,
• 17:58
  it
• 17:58
  just
• 17:58
  looks
• 17:58
  cheap.
• 17:59
  And
• 17:59
  I'm
• 18:00
  not
• 18:00
  a
• 18:00
  fan
• 18:00
  of
• 18:00
  it.
• 18:01
  And
• 18:01
  the
• 18:01
  problem
• 18:01
  is
• 18:01
  people
• 18:01
  go,
• 18:02
  you
• 18:02
  can
• 18:02
  always
• 18:02
  paint
• 18:02
  it.
• 18:02
  The
• 18:03
  problem
• 18:03
  is
• 18:03
  the
• 18:03
  only
• 18:03
  time
• 18:03
  you
• 18:04
  can
• 18:04
  paint
• 18:04
  it
• 18:04
  is
• 18:04
  if
• 18:04
  you're
• 18:04
  painting
• 18:05
  something
• 18:05
  lighter.
• 18:06
  Because
• 18:06
  if
• 18:06
  you
• 18:06
  go
• 18:07
  darker
• 18:08
  then
• 18:08
  that.
• 18:09
  It's
• 18:09
  funny
• 18:09
  because
• 18:10
  the
• 18:11
  lighter
• 18:11
  vinyls
• 18:12
  for
• 18:12
  vinyl
• 18:13
  siding,
• 18:13
  they're
• 18:14
  less
• 18:14
  heat
• 18:14
  resistant
• 18:15
  in
• 18:15
  the
• 18:15
  chemical
• 18:16
  makeup
• 18:16
  than
• 18:16
  the
• 18:17
  darker
• 18:17
  stuff.
• 18:17
  If
• 18:18
  you
• 18:18
  take
• 18:18
  a
• 18:18
  white
• 18:19
  house
• 18:19
  and
• 18:19
  say,
• 18:19
  I'm
• 18:19
  going
• 18:19
  to
• 18:19
  make
• 18:20
  a
• 18:20
  charcoal,
• 18:21
  watch
• 18:21
  out
• 18:21
  on
• 18:21
  that
• 18:21
  first
• 18:22
  summer
• 18:22
  day,
• 18:23
  it
• 18:23
  is
• 18:23
  going
• 18:23
  to
• 18:23
  be
• 18:24
  horrible.
• 18:25
  Many
• 18:25
  times
• 18:26
  that
• 18:26
  stuff
• 18:26
  looks
• 18:26
  like
• 18:26
  it's
• 18:27
  melting
• 18:27
  and
• 18:27
  dripping
• 18:27
  off
• 18:28
  the
• 18:28
  side
• 18:28
  of
• 18:28
  the
• 18:28
  house
• 18:29
  because
• 18:29
  it
• 18:29
  wasn't
• 18:30
  meant
• 18:30
  to
• 18:30
  handle
• 18:30
  that
• 18:30
  kind
• 18:31
  of
• 18:31
  heat.
• 18:31
  So
• 18:32
  it's
• 18:32
  in
• 18:32
  the
• 18:32
  chemical.
• 18:33
  Doesn't
• 18:33
  matter
• 18:33
  what
• 18:33
  paint
• 18:33
  you
• 18:33
  use.
• 18:34
  It's
• 18:35
  just
• 18:35
  that
• 18:35
  stuff
• 18:35
  is
• 18:36
  not
• 18:36
  meant
• 18:36
  to
• 18:36
  get
• 18:37
  that
• 18:37
  warm
• 18:37
  with
• 18:37
  the
• 18:38
  sun.
• 18:38
  And
• 18:39
  I've
• 18:39
  seen
• 18:39
  dozens
• 18:40
  of
• 18:40
  times
• 18:41
  that
• 18:41
  looks
• 18:41
  like
• 18:41
  it's
• 18:42
  just
• 18:42
  melted
• 18:42
  off
• 18:42
  the
• 18:42
  side
• 18:42
  of
• 18:42
  the
• 18:43
  house.
• 18:43
  So
• 18:43
  be
• 18:43
  very
• 18:43
  careful
• 18:44
  when
• 18:44
  you're
• 18:45
  dealing
• 18:45
  with
• 18:45
  vinyl
• 18:46
  siding
• 18:46
  and
• 18:47
  when
• 18:47
  in
• 18:47
  doubt,
• 18:47
  I
• 18:48
  would
• 18:48
  just
• 18:48
  start
• 18:48
  chasing
• 18:48
  around
• 18:49
  the
• 18:49
  house
• 18:49
  and
• 18:50
  replacing
• 18:50
  it.
• 18:51
  I
• 18:51
  think
• 18:51
  it's
• 18:51
  going
• 18:51
  to
• 18:52
  give
• 18:52
  you
• 18:52
  something,
• 18:52
  especially
• 18:52
  in
• 18:53
  wildfire
• 18:53
  regions
• 18:53
  and
• 18:54
  things
• 18:54
  like
• 18:54
  that,
• 18:55
  or
• 18:55
  hail
• 18:56
  or
• 18:56
  tornadoes.
• 18:57
  Put
• 18:57
  something
• 18:57
  that's
• 18:57
  gonna
• 18:58
  be
• 18:58
  a
• 18:58
  little
• 18:58
  more
• 18:58
  durable
• 18:58
  out
• 18:59
  there
• 18:59
  for
• 18:59
  you.
• 19:00
  It's
• 19:00
  a
• 19:00
  better
• 19:00
  investment.
• 19:01
  I'd
• 19:01
  rather
• 19:01
  see
• 19:01
  metal
• 19:02
  go
• 19:02
  out
• 19:02
  there
• 19:02
  personally.
• 19:03
  It's
• 19:04
  gonna
• 19:04
  be
• 19:04
  a
• 19:04
  better
• 19:05
  product
• 19:05
  for
• 19:05
  you.
• 19:06
  All
• 19:06
  right.
• 19:07
  Now,
• 19:07
  the
• 19:07
  next
• 19:07
  one
• 19:07
  here
• 19:08
  is
• 19:08
  controversial.
• 19:09
  I
• 19:09
  love
• 19:09
  these
• 19:09
  controversial
• 19:10
  ones.
• 19:10
  Can
• 19:10
  you
• 19:11
  tell
• 19:11
  this
• 19:11
  one
• 19:12
  is
• 19:12
  big.
• 19:13
  Microwave
• 19:14
  vent
• 19:14
  hoods.
• 19:15
  I
• 19:15
  would
• 19:15
  love
• 19:16
  to
• 19:16
  see
• 19:16
  those
• 19:16
  go
• 19:16
  away.
• 19:17
  To
• 19:17
  me,
• 19:17
  microwaves
• 19:18
  are
• 19:18
  almost
• 19:18
  optional
• 19:19
  these
• 19:19
  days.
• 19:20
  Could
• 19:20
  put
• 19:20
  one
• 19:21
  in
• 19:21
  a
• 19:21
  base
• 19:22
  cabinet
• 19:22
  if
• 19:22
  you
• 19:22
  want
• 19:22
  to.
• 19:22
  That's
• 19:23
  what
• 19:23
  I
• 19:23
  did
• 19:23
  at
• 19:23
  my
• 19:23
  house.
• 19:24
  But
• 19:24
  microwave
• 19:25
  vent
• 19:25
  hoods
• 19:26
  are
• 19:26
  just
• 19:27
  not
• 19:27
  safe.
• 19:28
  And
• 19:28
  let
• 19:28
  me
• 19:28
  give
• 19:28
  you
• 19:28
  my
• 19:29
  argument
• 19:29
  on
• 19:29
  this.
• 19:30
  First
• 19:30
  off,
• 19:31
  you're
• 19:31
  taking
• 19:32
  a
• 19:32
  cooking
• 19:32
  surface
• 19:33
  and
• 19:33
  putting
• 19:33
  it
• 19:33
  over
• 19:33
  the
• 19:34
  top
• 19:34
  of
• 19:34
  another
• 19:34
  cooking
• 19:35
  surface.
• 19:35
  So
• 19:36
  great
• 19:36
  example.
• 19:37
  Somebody
• 19:37
  comes
• 19:37
  over
• 19:37
  there,
• 19:38
  loose
• 19:38
  shirt,
• 19:39
  maybe
• 19:39
  they
• 19:39
  got
• 19:39
  a
• 19:39
  sweater
• 19:40
  on
• 19:40
  Or
• 19:40
  a
• 19:40
  jacket,
• 19:41
  something
• 19:41
  that
• 19:41
  zips
• 19:42
  up
• 19:42
  or
• 19:42
  buttons
• 19:42
  up
• 19:42
  in
• 19:43
  the
• 19:43
  front.
• 19:43
  Somebody's
• 19:44
  got
• 19:44
  a
• 19:45
  pot
• 19:45
  boiling
• 19:45
  right
• 19:46
  there.
• 19:46
  And
• 19:46
  they
• 19:46
  lean
• 19:46
  over
• 19:47
  to
• 19:47
  put
• 19:47
  something
• 19:48
  in
• 19:48
  the
• 19:48
  microwave
• 19:49
  and
• 19:49
  their
• 19:50
  shirt
• 19:50
  tail
• 19:51
  right
• 19:52
  below
• 19:52
  the
• 19:52
  bottom
• 19:52
  of
• 19:52
  the
• 19:53
  button
• 19:53
  catches
• 19:53
  it.
• 19:54
  Now
• 19:54
  they
• 19:55
  have
• 19:55
  a
• 19:55
  clothing
• 19:55
  fire.
• 19:56
  Now,
• 19:56
  the
• 19:56
  second
• 19:57
  thing
• 19:57
  is
• 19:58
  you've
• 19:58
  got
• 19:58
  that
• 19:58
  bowl
• 19:59
  of
• 19:59
  soup.
• 19:59
  You're
• 19:59
  pulling
• 19:59
  it
• 19:59
  out
• 20:00
  because
• 20:00
  you're
• 20:00
  warming
• 20:00
  it
• 20:00
  up.
• 20:01
  If
• 20:01
  that
• 20:01
  is
• 20:02
  higher
• 20:03
  than
• 20:03
  the
• 20:03
  center
• 20:04
  line
• 20:04
  of
• 20:04
  where
• 20:04
  your
• 20:04
  eyeballs
• 20:05
  are,
• 20:05
  you
• 20:06
  are
• 20:06
  now
• 20:06
  putting
• 20:06
  yourself
• 20:07
  in
• 20:07
  a
• 20:07
  dangerous
• 20:07
  position
• 20:08
  because
• 20:08
  you
• 20:09
  can't
• 20:09
  see
• 20:09
  to
• 20:10
  keep
• 20:10
  it
• 20:10
  level
• 20:10
  if
• 20:10
  you're
• 20:10
  pulling
• 20:11
  it
• 20:11
  out.
• 20:11
  So
• 20:11
  the
• 20:12
  chance
• 20:12
  of
• 20:12
  pouring
• 20:13
  something
• 20:13
  boiling
• 20:14
  over
• 20:15
  is
• 20:15
  high.
• 20:16
  And
• 20:16
  the
• 20:16
  last
• 20:16
  one
• 20:17
  is
• 20:17
  the
• 20:18
  ventilation.
• 20:19
  They
• 20:19
  suck
• 20:20
  as
• 20:20
  vent
• 20:21
  hoods.
• 20:21
  They
• 20:21
  don't
• 20:21
  work
• 20:22
  well.
• 20:22
  There's
• 20:22
  no
• 20:23
  capture
• 20:23
  area
• 20:23
  down
• 20:24
  below
• 20:24
  them.
• 20:25
  And
• 20:25
  they're.
• 20:26
  They
• 20:26
  barely
• 20:27
  meet
• 20:27
  building
• 20:27
  code
• 20:28
  as
• 20:28
  far
• 20:28
  as
• 20:29
  the
• 20:29
  air
• 20:29
  they
• 20:29
  move.
• 20:30
  They're
• 20:30
  just
• 20:30
  not
• 20:31
  good.
• 20:31
  So
• 20:32
  in
• 20:32
  that,
• 20:32
  I
• 20:32
  say
• 20:33
  remove
• 20:34
  them,
• 20:34
  put
• 20:34
  the
• 20:34
  microwave
• 20:35
  someplace
• 20:35
  else
• 20:35
  and
• 20:36
  put
• 20:36
  a
• 20:36
  great
• 20:36
  hood,
• 20:37
  the
• 20:37
  vents
• 20:38
  outside.
• 20:38
  That,
• 20:39
  to
• 20:39
  me
• 20:39
  is
• 20:39
  the
• 20:39
  best
• 20:40
  answer.
• 20:41
  And
• 20:41
  to
• 20:41
  make
• 20:41
  that
• 20:42
  you've
• 20:42
  got
• 20:42
  that
• 20:42
  venting
• 20:43
  correctly
• 20:44
  and
• 20:44
  take
• 20:44
  the
• 20:45
  microwave,
• 20:45
  get
• 20:46
  rid
• 20:46
  of
• 20:46
  it,
• 20:46
  put
• 20:46
  it
• 20:47
  under
• 20:47
  the
• 20:47
  cabinet,
• 20:47
  put
• 20:48
  it
• 20:48
  over
• 20:48
  there
• 20:48
  in
• 20:48
  a
• 20:48
  pantry,
• 20:49
  do
• 20:49
  something
• 20:49
  with
• 20:49
  it
• 20:50
  that
• 20:50
  meets
• 20:50
  building
• 20:50
  code
• 20:50
  in
• 20:51
  your
• 20:51
  area.
• 20:52
  All
• 20:52
  right,
• 20:52
  we
• 20:52
  got
• 20:53
  so
• 20:53
  much
• 20:53
  more
• 20:53
  coming
• 20:54
  back.

• 24:19
  over
• 24:19
  the

• 24:20
  I
• 24:20
  spent
• 24:20
  that
• 24:20
  extra
• 24:20
  time
• 24:21
  instead
• 24:21
  of

• 24:29
  You
• 24:29
  guys
• 24:29
  didn't
• 24:29
  have
• 24:29
  any
• 24:29
  best
• 24:30
  of

  us
• 24:30
  to

• 24:31
  We've

  got
• 24:32
  such
• 24:32
  a
• 24:32
  great
• 24:32
  growth
• 24:33
  going.
• 24:33
  I
• 24:33
  didn't
• 24:33
  Want
• 24:33
  to
• 24:34
  take
• 24:34
  the
• 24:34
  time
• 24:34
  off?
• 24:35
  I
• 24:35
  thought,
• 24:35
  hey,
• 24:35
  let's
• 24:35
  keep
• 24:36
  this
• 24:36
  thing
• 24:36
  going
• 24:37
  and
• 24:37
  keep

  you

• 24:40
  We've

  talking
• 24:40
  about
• 24:40
  here
• 24:41
  this
• 24:41
  hour
• 24:42
  that
• 24:42
  is
• 24:43
  brought
• 24:43
  to
• 24:43
  you
• 24:43
  by
• 24:43
  our

• 24:44
  Check
• 24:44
  them
• 24:44
  out@montymcgrills.com
• 24:45
  we've
• 24:46
  been
• 24:46
  talking
• 24:47
  about
• 24:47
  the
• 24:47
  top
• 24:47
  10
• 24:48
  outdated
• 24:48
  materials
• 24:49
  or
• 24:49
  installations
• 24:50
  that
• 24:50
  just
• 24:50
  should
• 24:50
  be
• 24:51
  retired
• 24:51
  because
• 24:51
  there's
• 24:52
  better
• 24:52
  ways,
• 24:53
  better
• 24:53
  products,
• 24:54
  and
• 24:54
  better
• 24:54
  ways
• 24:55
  to
• 24:55
  do
• 24:55
  that,
• 24:55
  and
• 24:56
  they're
• 24:56
  just
• 24:56
  outdated.
• 24:58
  So
• 24:58
  far
• 24:59
  on
• 24:59
  the
• 24:59
  list,
• 24:59
  we've
• 24:59
  covered
• 25:00
  concrete
• 25:00
  board
• 25:01
  under
• 25:01
  tile,
• 25:02
  cpvc
• 25:03
  pipe
• 25:04
  tile
• 25:04
  countertops.
• 25:05
  Unless
• 25:05
  you're
• 25:05
  doing
• 25:06
  something
• 25:06
  cool
• 25:07
  that's
• 25:07
  looking
• 25:07
  like
• 25:08
  it's
• 25:08
  out
• 25:08
  of
• 25:08
  Europe
• 25:08
  or
• 25:08
  something,
• 25:09
  Totally
• 25:09
  get
• 25:09
  that
• 25:10
  vinyl
• 25:10
  siding.
• 25:11
  And
• 25:12
  then
• 25:12
  my
• 25:12
  last
• 25:12
  one
• 25:12
  here
• 25:12
  was
• 25:13
  microwave
• 25:13
  vent
• 25:14
  hoods.
• 25:14
  And
• 25:15
  the
• 25:15
  next
• 25:15
  one
• 25:15
  is
• 25:16
  still
• 25:16
  a
• 25:16
  vent
• 25:17
  hood,
• 25:17
  but
• 25:18
  it's
• 25:18
  the
• 25:18
  recycle
• 25:19
  kind.
• 25:20
  And
• 25:20
  there's
• 25:20
  an
• 25:20
  asterisk
• 25:21
  to
• 25:21
  this,
• 25:21
  too.
• 25:22
  These
• 25:22
  are
• 25:22
  the
• 25:22
  ones
• 25:23
  that
• 25:23
  I
• 25:23
  got
• 25:23
  to
• 25:24
  give
• 25:24
  Bro
• 25:24
  Newtone
• 25:24
  a
• 25:25
  hard
• 25:25
  time.
• 25:25
  They
• 25:25
  still
• 25:25
  sell
• 25:26
  these
• 25:26
  things
• 25:26
  even
• 25:27
  though
• 25:27
  they're
• 25:28
  illegal
• 25:28
  in
• 25:28
  my
• 25:28
  state.
• 25:29
  I
• 25:29
  can
• 25:29
  still
• 25:29
  go
• 25:29
  into
• 25:30
  my
• 25:30
  home
• 25:30
  center
• 25:31
  and
• 25:32
  pick
• 25:32
  one
• 25:32
  up
• 25:32
  off
• 25:32
  the
• 25:32
  shelf.
• 25:33
  And
• 25:33
  if
• 25:34
  you
• 25:34
  want
• 25:34
  to
• 25:34
  hear
• 25:34
  about
• 25:34
  that,
• 25:34
  you
• 25:35
  can
• 25:35
  go
• 25:35
  back
• 25:35
  to

• 25:35
  of
• 25:35
  our
• 25:36

• 25:36
  episodes
• 25:36
  where
• 25:37
  I
• 25:37
  talked
• 25:37
  about
• 25:38
  the
• 25:38
  building
• 25:38
  materials
• 25:39
  that
• 25:39
  don't
• 25:39
  meet
• 25:39
  building
• 25:40

• 25:40
  that
• 25:40
  you
• 25:40
  can
• 25:40
  buy
• 25:41
  at
• 25:41
  the
• 25:41
  home
• 25:41
  centers.
• 25:42
  Yeah,
• 25:42
  there's
• 25:42
  plenty
• 25:42
  of
• 25:43
  them
• 25:43
  out
• 25:43
  there.
• 25:43
  One

• 25:44
  those
• 25:44
  in
• 25:44
  my

• 25:45
  or

  on
• 25:46
  the

• 25:50
  hoods
• 25:50
  that
• 25:50
  kick
• 25:50
  the
• 25:50
  air
• 25:51
  back
• 25:51
  into
• 25:52
  your
• 25:52
  home.
• 25:52
  If
• 25:53
  I
• 25:53
  could
• 25:53
  wave
• 25:53
  a
• 25:54
  magic
• 25:54
  wand
• 25:55
  to
• 25:55
  improve
• 25:55
  air
• 25:56
  quality
• 25:56
  across
• 25:56
  the
• 25:57
  United
• 25:57
  States,
• 25:58
  that
• 25:58
  would
• 25:58
  be
• 25:58
  the
• 25:59
  first
• 25:59
  thing
• 25:59
  I
• 25:59
  would
• 26:00
  do,
• 26:00
  would
• 26:00
  be
• 26:01
  to
• 26:01
  make
• 26:01
  sure
• 26:01
  that
• 26:01
  those
• 26:02
  vent
• 26:02
  outside.
• 26:03
  That's
• 26:03
  how
• 26:03
  you
• 26:04
  move
• 26:04
  the
• 26:04
  ball
• 26:04
  the
• 26:05
  fastest
• 26:05
  on
• 26:05
  getting
• 26:06
  indoor
• 26:06
  air
• 26:06
  quality
• 26:06
  clean
• 26:07
  for
• 26:07
  you.
• 26:07
  Make
• 26:08
  sure
• 26:08
  that
• 26:08
  you
• 26:08
  can
• 26:08
  exhaust
• 26:09
  all
• 26:09
  of
• 26:09
  those
• 26:10
  things
• 26:11
  that
• 26:11
  are
• 26:11
  bad
• 26:11
  and
• 26:12
  your
• 26:12
  range.
• 26:13
  That
• 26:13
  cooktop
• 26:14
  is
• 26:14
  really
• 26:15
  good
• 26:15
  at
• 26:15
  doing
• 26:15
  that.
• 26:16
  It
• 26:16
  doesn't
• 26:16
  matter
• 26:16
  if
• 26:16
  you're
• 26:17
  cooking
• 26:17
  all
• 26:17
  natural
• 26:18
  food.
• 26:18
  You're
• 26:19
  cooking
• 26:19
  vegetables,
• 26:20
  you're
• 26:20
  cooking
• 26:20
  meat,
• 26:21
  you're
• 26:21
  cooking
• 26:21
  it
• 26:22
  in
• 26:22
  all
• 26:23
  natural
• 26:23
  products.
• 26:24
  None
• 26:24
  of
• 26:24
  the
• 26:24
  crazy
• 26:25
  seed
• 26:25
  oils
• 26:25
  that
• 26:25
  are
• 26:25
  debated
• 26:26
  on
• 26:26
  radio
• 26:27
  and
• 26:27
  TV
• 26:27
  right
• 26:28
  now,
• 26:28
  it
• 26:29
  still
• 26:29
  gives
• 26:29
  off
• 26:30
  chemical
• 26:31
  byproducts.
• 26:32
  Whether
• 26:32
  you're
• 26:32
  using
• 26:33
  an
• 26:33
  induction
• 26:33
  range,
• 26:34
  an
• 26:34
  electric
• 26:34
  range,
• 26:35
  a
• 26:35
  propane,
• 26:36
  or
• 26:36
  a
• 26:36
  natural
• 26:37
  gas
• 26:37
  range,
• 26:38
  they're
• 26:38
  all
• 26:39
  given
• 26:39
  off
• 26:39
  chemicals.
• 26:40
  Now,
• 26:41
  you
• 26:41
  will
• 26:41
  have
• 26:42
  flame
• 26:42
  byproducts
• 26:43
  as
• 26:43
  well
• 26:43
  as
• 26:43
  the
• 26:43
  other
• 26:44
  ones.
• 26:44
  But
• 26:44
  generally
• 26:45
  the
• 26:45
  biggest
• 26:45
  stuff
• 26:46
  is
• 26:46
  going
• 26:46
  to
• 26:46
  be
• 26:47
  the
• 26:47
  greases
• 26:48
  and
• 26:48
  the
• 26:48
  byproducts
• 26:49
  of
• 26:49
  you
• 26:49
  cooking
• 26:50
  the
• 26:50
  food.
• 26:50
  And
• 26:51
  so
• 26:51
  that
• 26:51
  needs
• 26:51
  to
• 26:52
  anybody
• 26:53
  out
• 26:53
  there
• 26:53
  that
• 26:54
  has
• 26:54
  that
• 26:54
  recycle
• 26:55
  Then
• 26:55
  hood
• 26:56
  should
• 26:56
  be
• 26:56
  a
• 26:57
  high
• 26:57
  priority,
• 26:57
  especially
• 26:58
  with
• 26:58
  indoor
• 26:58
  air
• 26:59
  quality
• 26:59
  concerns
• 26:59
  that
• 26:59
  we
• 26:59
  have
• 27:00
  today
• 27:00
  that
• 27:00
  the
• 27:00
  more
• 27:00
  we
• 27:01
  learn
• 27:01
  about
• 27:02
  it
• 27:02
  is
• 27:02
  to
• 27:03
  make
• 27:03
  sure
• 27:03
  you've
• 27:03
  got
• 27:03
  a
• 27:03
  healthy
• 27:04
  home.
• 27:04
  And
• 27:04
  that's
• 27:04
  going
• 27:04
  to
• 27:04
  be
• 27:05
  taking
• 27:05
  that
• 27:06
  vent
• 27:06
  hood,
• 27:07
  running
• 27:07
  it
• 27:07
  out
• 27:08
  all
• 27:08
  the
• 27:09
  way
• 27:09
  outside
• 27:09
  the
• 27:09
  building
• 27:10
  and
• 27:10
  getting
• 27:10
  that
• 27:11
  good
• 27:11
  and
• 27:11
  gone.
• 27:12
  And
• 27:12
  then
• 27:12
  if
• 27:13
  you
• 27:13
  have
• 27:13
  over
• 27:14
  400
• 27:14
  cubic
• 27:15
  feet
• 27:15
  per
• 27:15
  minute,
• 27:16
  which
• 27:16
  is
• 27:16
  not
• 27:16
  a
• 27:16
  little
• 27:17
  range
• 27:17
  hood,
• 27:18
  these
• 27:18
  are
• 27:18
  more
• 27:18
  of
• 27:18
  your
• 27:19
  pro
• 27:19
  style
• 27:19
  because
• 27:20
  that's
• 27:20
  400
• 27:20
  basketballs
• 27:21
  of
• 27:21
  air
• 27:21
  every
• 27:21
  minute.
• 27:22
  If
• 27:22
  you
• 27:22
  have
• 27:23
  that,
• 27:24
  then
• 27:24
  you
• 27:24
  need
• 27:24
  to
• 27:24
  have
• 27:25
  a
• 27:25
  discussion.
• 27:25
  Either
• 27:26
  if
• 27:26
  you're
• 27:26
  in
• 27:26
  an
• 27:26
  old
• 27:27
  house
• 27:27
  or
• 27:27
  a
• 27:28
  newer
• 27:28
  house,
• 27:28
  even
• 27:28
  more
• 27:29
  so,
• 27:29
  because
• 27:30
  you
• 27:30
  need
• 27:30
  to
• 27:30
  have
• 27:30
  a
• 27:30
  discussion
• 27:31
  about
• 27:31
  makeup
• 27:31
  air.
• 27:32
  So
• 27:32
  when
• 27:32
  you're
• 27:32
  putting
• 27:33
  out
• 27:33
  400
• 27:34
  cubic
• 27:34
  feet
• 27:34
  per
• 27:34
  minute
• 27:35
  of
• 27:35
  air
• 27:35
  that
• 27:36
  you're
• 27:36
  bringing
• 27:36
  it
• 27:37
  back
• 27:37
  into
• 27:37
  the
• 27:37
  house
• 27:38
  so
• 27:38
  you've
• 27:38
  got
• 27:39
  something
• 27:39
  clean
• 27:39
  coming
• 27:40
  in
• 27:40
  that's
• 27:40
  conditioned
• 27:41
  and
• 27:41
  you're
• 27:42
  not
• 27:42
  taking
• 27:42
  in
• 27:43
  100°
• 27:44
  or
• 27:44
  20°
• 27:45
  air
• 27:45
  back
• 27:45
  in
• 27:45
  the
• 27:45
  house.
• 27:45
  You
• 27:46
  want
• 27:46
  it
• 27:46
  to
• 27:46
  be
• 27:46
  conditioned
• 27:47
  somewhat
• 27:47
  to
• 27:47
  do
• 27:48
  that.
• 27:48
  But
• 27:49
  I
• 27:49
  would
• 27:49
  love
• 27:50
  if
• 27:50
  we
• 27:50
  could
• 27:50
  get
• 27:50
  rid
• 27:51
  of
• 27:51
  those
• 27:51
  crazy
• 27:51
  things.
• 27:52
  I'd
• 27:52
  be
• 27:53
  happier
• 27:53
  and
• 27:53
  we'd
• 27:54
  have
• 27:54
  a
• 27:54
  lot
• 27:54
  healthier
• 27:55
  people
• 27:55
  out
• 27:55
  there
• 27:55
  in
• 27:56
  their
• 27:56
  homes
• 27:56
  by
• 27:57
  making
• 27:57
  sure.
• 27:58
  And
• 27:58
  you
• 27:58
  got
• 27:58
  to
• 27:58
  use
• 27:59
  it
• 27:59
  too,
• 27:59
  guys.
• 27:59
  That's
• 27:59
  the
• 28:00
  other
• 28:00
  thing
• 28:00
  we
• 28:01
  do
• 28:01
  at
• 28:01
  my
• 28:01
  house.
• 28:02
  Mine's
• 28:03
  a
• 28:03
  big
• 28:03
  1200
• 28:04
  CFM
• 28:04
  fan.
• 28:05
  And
• 28:05
  I
• 28:05
  tell
• 28:05
  you
• 28:05
  what,
• 28:06
  that
• 28:06
  thing
• 28:07
  is
• 28:08
  noisy.
• 28:09
  When
• 28:09
  I
• 28:09
  replace
• 28:10
  it,
• 28:10
  I'm
• 28:10
  going
• 28:10
  to
• 28:10
  put
• 28:10
  a
• 28:10
  better
• 28:10
  one
• 28:11
  in
• 28:11
  there.
• 28:11
  But
• 28:12
  that
• 28:12
  thing
• 28:12
  is
• 28:12
  noisy.
• 28:13
  It's
• 28:13
  a
• 28:14
  rattler.
• 28:14
  But
• 28:15
  it
• 28:15
  does
• 28:15
  work
• 28:16
  and
• 28:16
  it
• 28:16
  does
• 28:17
  move
• 28:17
  air.
• 28:18
  So
• 28:18
  that's
• 28:18
  the
• 28:18
  thing
• 28:19
  that's
• 28:19
  on
• 28:19
  my
• 28:19
  list
• 28:20
  of
• 28:20
  upgrading
• 28:20
  my
• 28:21
  range
• 28:21
  and
• 28:21
  my
• 28:21
  range
• 28:21
  hood.
• 28:22
  One
• 28:22
  of
• 28:22
  these
• 28:22
  days
• 28:22
  to
• 28:23
  get
• 28:23
  that
• 28:23
  more
• 28:23
  dialed
• 28:24
  in
• 28:24
  and
• 28:24
  get
• 28:24
  something
• 28:24
  a
• 28:24
  little
• 28:25
  higher
• 28:25
  quality.
• 28:26
  All
• 28:26
  right,
• 28:26
  the
• 28:26
  next
• 28:26
  one
• 28:27
  up
• 28:27
  here,
• 28:27
  guys,
• 28:27
  is
• 28:28
  another
• 28:28
  one
• 28:28
  of
• 28:28
  those
• 28:29
  that,
• 28:29
  sorry,
• 28:29
  I'm
• 28:29
  not
• 28:29
  here
• 28:30
  to
• 28:30
  make
• 28:30
  you
• 28:30
  guys
• 28:30
  mad.
• 28:30
  These
• 28:31
  are
• 28:31
  my
• 28:31
  personal
• 28:31
  opinions.
• 28:32
  We
• 28:32
  all
• 28:33
  can
• 28:33
  have
• 28:33
  them.
• 28:33
  And
• 28:34
  this
• 28:34
  is
• 28:34
  going
• 28:34
  to
• 28:34
  be
• 28:34
  one
• 28:34
  of
• 28:35
  those
• 28:35
  that
• 28:35
  I
• 28:35
  know.
• 28:35
  I'm
• 28:35
  going
• 28:35
  to
• 28:35
  have
• 28:36
  people
• 28:36
  rolling
• 28:36
  their
• 28:36
  eyes
• 28:36
  going,
• 28:37
  not
• 28:38
  a
• 28:38
  chance.
• 28:39
  And
• 28:39
  this
• 28:39
  is,
• 28:40
  I
• 28:40
  think
• 28:40
  we
• 28:40
  should
• 28:41
  work
• 28:41
  away.
• 28:42
  That's
• 28:42
  in
• 28:42
  the
• 28:42
  government,
• 28:43
  should
• 28:43
  be
• 28:43
  involved
• 28:43
  in
• 28:43
  it.
• 28:44
  But
• 28:44
  personally,
• 28:45
  we
• 28:45
  should
• 28:45
  work
• 28:46
  away
• 28:46
  from
• 28:46
  top
• 28:46
  load
• 28:47
  washing
• 28:47
  machines,
• 28:48
  those
• 28:48
  closed
• 28:49
  washing
• 28:49
  machines.
• 28:50
  And
• 28:50
  here's
• 28:51
  why.
• 28:52
  Couple
• 28:52
  reasons.
• 28:53
  One,
• 28:53
  they
• 28:53
  use
• 28:54
  way
• 28:54
  more
• 28:55
  water,
• 28:55
  like
• 28:56
  5,055
• 28:56
  gallons
• 28:57
  versus
• 28:57
  15
• 28:58
  second
• 28:59
  of
• 28:59
  all,
• 28:59
  they're
• 29:00
  way
• 29:00
  harder
• 29:00
  on
• 29:01
  your
• 29:01
  clothes.
• 29:01
  So
• 29:01
  you're
• 29:01
  buying
• 29:02
  more
• 29:02
  clothing.
• 29:03
  And
• 29:03
  you
• 29:04
  can
• 29:04
  tell
• 29:04
  by
• 29:04
  how
• 29:04
  much
• 29:04
  lint
• 29:05
  comes
• 29:05
  out
• 29:05
  of
• 29:05
  them.
• 29:05
  If
• 29:06
  you
• 29:06
  do
• 29:06
  a
• 29:06
  load
• 29:06
  of
• 29:06
  towels,
• 29:08
  that
• 29:08
  agitator
• 29:10
  beats
• 29:10
  those
• 29:10
  towels.
• 29:11
  Up
• 29:11
  and
• 29:11
  then
• 29:11
  when
• 29:11
  you
• 29:11
  put
• 29:11
  it
• 29:11
  in
• 29:12
  the
• 29:12
  dryer,
• 29:12
  you
• 29:12
  get
• 29:12
  that
• 29:12
  huge
• 29:13
  half
• 29:13
  inch
• 29:13
  blanket
• 29:14
  out
• 29:15
  of.
• 29:15
  That's
• 29:15
  just
• 29:15
  your
• 29:15
  towels
• 29:16
  getting
• 29:16
  beat
• 29:16
  up.
• 29:17
  All
• 29:17
  that
• 29:17
  lint
• 29:18
  that's
• 29:18
  showing
• 29:18
  up
• 29:19
  on
• 29:19
  that
• 29:19
  screen
• 29:20
  is
• 29:20
  what
• 29:21
  got
• 29:21
  worn
• 29:22
  out
• 29:22
  by
• 29:22
  that
• 29:22
  washing
• 29:23
  machine.
• 29:23
  And
• 29:24
  you
• 29:24
  notice
• 29:24
  that
• 29:25
  the
• 29:25
  third
• 29:26
  thing
• 29:26
  is
• 29:26
  something
• 29:27
  that
• 29:28
  seems
• 29:29
  counterintuitive,
• 29:30
  but
• 29:30
  it's
• 29:30
  more,
• 29:30
  the
• 29:30
  more
• 29:31
  I've
• 29:31
  worked
• 29:31
  on
• 29:32
  top
• 29:32
  load
• 29:33
  washing
• 29:33
  machines
• 29:34
  versus
• 29:35
  front
• 29:35
  loads,
• 29:36
  the
• 29:36
  more
• 29:36
  I
• 29:36
  realize
• 29:37
  that
• 29:37
  the
• 29:38
  top
• 29:38
  load
• 29:39
  washing
• 29:39
  machines
• 29:40
  don't
• 29:40
  have
• 29:40
  a
• 29:40
  way
• 29:40
  for
• 29:40
  them
• 29:41
  to
• 29:41
  be
• 29:41
  cleaned.
• 29:42
  I've
• 29:42
  got
• 29:42
  a
• 29:42
  front
• 29:42
  load
• 29:43
  washing
• 29:43
  machine
• 29:43
  and
• 29:43
  I
• 29:43
  can
• 29:44
  run
• 29:44
  cleaner
• 29:45
  through
• 29:45
  it.
• 29:45
  I
• 29:46
  can
• 29:46
  run
• 29:47
  everything
• 29:47
  through
• 29:48
  it
• 29:48
  and
• 29:48
  it's
• 29:48
  going
• 29:48
  to
• 29:49
  steam
• 29:49
  clean,
• 29:50
  it's
• 29:50
  going
• 29:50
  to
• 29:50
  clean
• 29:50
  itself
• 29:51
  up.
• 29:51
  So
• 29:52
  I
• 29:52
  know
• 29:52
  that
• 29:52
  the
• 29:52
  drum,
• 29:53
  the
• 29:54
  outer
• 29:54
  drum
• 29:55
  versus
• 29:55
  the
• 29:55
  inner
• 29:56
  drum
• 29:56
  where
• 29:56
  it
• 29:56
  keeps
• 29:57
  the
• 29:57
  water
• 29:57
  from
• 29:58
  coming
• 29:58
  out
• 29:58
  of
• 29:58
  the
• 29:58
  machine,
• 29:59
  I
• 29:59
  know
• 30:00
  that's
• 30:00
  pretty
• 30:00
  clean
• 30:01
  and
• 30:01
  it's,
• 30:01
  it
• 30:02
  doesn't
• 30:02
  smell,
• 30:02
  it's
• 30:02
  in
• 30:03
  good
• 30:03
  shape.
• 30:03
  The
• 30:04
  problem
• 30:04
  with
• 30:04
  top
• 30:05
  load
• 30:05
  machines
• 30:06
  is
• 30:06
  I
• 30:06
  wish
• 30:06
  they
• 30:06
  had
• 30:07
  a
• 30:07
  cleaning
• 30:07
  cycle
• 30:07
  that
• 30:07
  would
• 30:08
  take
• 30:08
  that
• 30:08
  water
• 30:08
  up
• 30:08
  another
• 30:09
  inch
• 30:09
  in
• 30:09
  it.
• 30:10
  Because
• 30:10
  what
• 30:10
  happens
• 30:11
  is
• 30:11
  when
• 30:11
  you
• 30:11
  run
• 30:12
  a
• 30:12
  cleaning
• 30:12
  cycle
• 30:12
  through
• 30:13
  there,
• 30:13
  you
• 30:14
  might
• 30:14
  get
• 30:14
  the
• 30:14
  stuff
• 30:15
  underneath
• 30:15
  that
• 30:15
  drum
• 30:16
  in
• 30:16
  there,
• 30:16
  but
• 30:16
  the
• 30:17
  problem
• 30:17
  is
• 30:17
  the,
• 30:17
  where
• 30:18
  the
• 30:18
  worst
• 30:18
  junk
• 30:19
  is
• 30:19
  in
• 30:19
  that
• 30:19
  top
• 30:20
  ring
• 30:20
  around
• 30:20
  the
• 30:21
  top.
• 30:21
  Many
• 30:22
  times
• 30:22
  that
• 30:22
  water
• 30:22
  doesn't
• 30:23
  get
• 30:23
  up
• 30:23
  there
• 30:23
  enough
• 30:23
  to
• 30:24
  clean
• 30:24
  it.
• 30:24
  So
• 30:25
  if
• 30:25
  you
• 30:25
  ever
• 30:25
  had
• 30:25
  to
• 30:25
  pull
• 30:26
  one
• 30:26
  of
• 30:26
  those
• 30:26
  machines
• 30:27
  apart,
• 30:27
  you
• 30:27
  look
• 30:27
  at
• 30:28
  the,
• 30:28
  you
• 30:28
  get
• 30:28
  the
• 30:28
  drum,
• 30:28
  you're
• 30:29
  like
• 30:29
  oh
• 30:29
  my
• 30:29
  gosh,
• 30:29
  look
• 30:30
  at
• 30:30
  all
• 30:30
  this.
• 30:31
  Basically
• 30:31
  it's
• 30:32
  just
• 30:32
  a
• 30:32
  mix
• 30:33
  of
• 30:33
  body
• 30:34
  oils,
• 30:35
  whatever
• 30:35
  came
• 30:36
  off
• 30:36
  the
• 30:36
  fabric
• 30:37
  softener
• 30:37
  and
• 30:37
  the
• 30:38
  soap,
• 30:39
  whatever
• 30:39
  came
• 30:39
  off
• 30:40
  your
• 30:40
  clothes,
• 30:40
  dry
• 30:41
  skin,
• 30:41
  body
• 30:42
  oils,
• 30:42
  all
• 30:42
  that
• 30:43
  stuff
• 30:44
  and
• 30:44
  it's
• 30:44
  completely
• 30:45
  disgusting
• 30:46
  and
• 30:46
  it
• 30:46
  just
• 30:46
  cakes
• 30:46
  on
• 30:47
  the
• 30:48
  side.
• 30:48
  Go
• 30:48
  and
• 30:49
  grab
• 30:49
  YouTube,
• 30:50
  watch
• 30:50
  washing
• 30:50
  machine
• 30:51
  repair.
• 30:51
  Look
• 30:51
  what
• 30:51
  you
• 30:52
  see
• 30:52
  when
• 30:53
  people
• 30:53
  pull
• 30:53
  these
• 30:54
  things
• 30:54
  apart.
• 30:55
  And
• 30:55
  to
• 30:55
  me
• 30:55
  that's
• 30:56
  not
• 30:56
  really
• 30:56
  healthy
• 30:56
  washing
• 30:57
  your
• 30:57
  clothes
• 30:58
  in
• 30:58
  something
• 30:58
  very
• 30:59
  dirty.
• 30:59
  Now
• 31:00
  I'd
• 31:00
  be
• 31:00
  curious
• 31:00
  to
• 31:01
  see
• 31:01
  and
• 31:01
  I
• 31:01
  haven't
• 31:01
  had
• 31:01
  time
• 31:02
  to
• 31:02
  do
• 31:02
  this,
• 31:02
  I'd
• 31:02
  love
• 31:02
  to
• 31:03
  get
• 31:03
  one
• 31:03
  that's
• 31:03
  totally
• 31:03
  nasty
• 31:04
  and
• 31:05
  see
• 31:05
  if
• 31:05
  I
• 31:05
  run
• 31:05
  a
• 31:05
  front
• 31:06
  load
• 31:06
  washing
• 31:06
  machine
• 31:07
  cleaning
• 31:08
  solution
• 31:08
  through
• 31:09
  it,
• 31:09
  how
• 31:09
  much
• 31:09
  it
• 31:09
  helps.
• 31:10
  But
• 31:10
  they
• 31:10
  would
• 31:11
  were
• 31:11
  never
• 31:11
  designed
• 31:12
  to
• 31:13
  clean
• 31:13
  the
• 31:14
  inside
• 31:15
  to
• 31:15
  maintain
• 31:15
  itself.
• 31:16
  Now
• 31:16
  there
• 31:17
  might
• 31:17
  be
• 31:17
  a
• 31:17
  brand
• 31:17
  or
• 31:17
  two
• 31:17
  out
• 31:17
  there
• 31:18
  that
• 31:18
  has
• 31:18
  its
• 31:18
  own
• 31:18
  self
• 31:19
  cleaning
• 31:19
  cycle
• 31:19
  on
• 31:19
  it
• 31:19
  and
• 31:20
  that's
• 31:20
  awesome.
• 31:21
  Most
• 31:21
  of
• 31:21
  the
• 31:21
  front
• 31:22
  load
• 31:22
  machines
• 31:22
  now
• 31:23
  do
• 31:23
  but
• 31:24
  they're
• 31:25
  so
• 31:25
  inefficient
• 31:26
  as
• 31:26
  far
• 31:26
  as
• 31:26
  how
• 31:26
  much
• 31:26
  water
• 31:27
  they
• 31:27
  use.
• 31:28
  It's
• 31:28
  just
• 31:28
  not
• 31:28
  a
• 31:28
  clean
• 31:29
  way
• 31:30
  to
• 31:30
  deal
• 31:30
  with
• 31:30
  your
• 31:30
  clothes.
• 31:31
  So
• 31:32
  for
• 31:32
  me
• 31:33
  I'd
• 31:33
  much
• 31:33
  rather
• 31:34
  use
• 31:34
  Something
• 31:35
  that's
• 31:35
  going
• 31:35
  to
• 31:35
  use
• 31:36
  a
• 31:36
  lot
• 31:36
  less
• 31:36
  water
• 31:37
  gets
• 31:37
  the
• 31:37
  clothes
• 31:38
  as
• 31:38
  cleaner,
• 31:39
  cleaner.
• 31:39
  And
• 31:40
  I'm
• 31:40
  using
• 31:40
  way
• 31:40
  less
• 31:41
  water
• 31:41
  and
• 31:41
  my
• 31:42
  clothes
• 31:42
  can
• 31:42
  last
• 31:43
  years
• 31:43
  longer
• 31:44
  than
• 31:44
  with
• 31:45
  a
• 31:45
  top
• 31:45
  load
• 31:45
  machine.
• 31:45
  That's
• 31:46
  why
• 31:46
  I've
• 31:46
  had
• 31:46
  a
• 31:46
  front
• 31:46
  load
• 31:47
  machine
• 31:47
  for
• 31:47
  nearly
• 31:48
  20,
• 31:48
  25
• 31:49
  years
• 31:49
  now.
• 31:49
  I've
• 31:50
  been
• 31:50
  using
• 31:50
  that
• 31:50
  since
• 31:50
  the
• 31:51
  90s.
• 31:52
  And
• 31:52
  so
• 31:52
  that's
• 31:53
  really
• 31:53
  where
• 31:53
  I
• 31:53
  started
• 31:53
  to
• 31:54
  really
• 31:54
  fall
• 31:54
  in
• 31:54
  love
• 31:55
  with
• 31:55
  that
• 31:55
  because
• 31:55
  of
• 31:55
  the
• 31:55
  energy
• 31:56
  savings.
• 31:56
  And
• 31:57
  I'm
• 31:57
  not
• 31:57
  some
• 31:57
  greenie.
• 31:58
  I'm
• 31:58
  just
• 31:58
  saying
• 31:58
  that,
• 31:58
  hey,
• 31:59
  if
• 31:59
  I
• 31:59
  can
• 32:00
  keep
• 32:00
  back
• 32:00
  from
• 32:00
  using,
• 32:01
  paying
• 32:01
  for
• 32:01
  more
• 32:02
  water,
• 32:02
  if
• 32:02
  I
• 32:02
  can
• 32:02
  save
• 32:03
  some
• 32:03
  money,
• 32:03
  I'm
• 32:03
  all
• 32:04
  about
• 32:04
  that
• 32:04
  and
• 32:05
  it's
• 32:05
  a
• 32:05
  good
• 32:05
  way
• 32:06
  to
• 32:06
  clean.
• 32:06
  So
• 32:07
  that's
• 32:07
  another
• 32:07
  one.
• 32:07
  Now
• 32:08
  there's
• 32:08
  a
• 32:08
  couple
• 32:08
  things
• 32:08
  here
• 32:09
  as
• 32:09
  a
• 32:09
  side
• 32:09
  note.
• 32:10
  If
• 32:10
  you're
• 32:10
  maintaining
• 32:11
  yours,
• 32:11
  awesome.
• 32:12
  I
• 32:12
  don't
• 32:12
  think
• 32:12
  the
• 32:12
  government
• 32:13
  should
• 32:13
  be
• 32:13
  involved
• 32:13
  in
• 32:14
  this.
• 32:14
  I
• 32:14
  think
• 32:14
  it
• 32:14
  should
• 32:14
  be
• 32:14
  a
• 32:14
  personal
• 32:15
  decision.
• 32:16
  And
• 32:16
  number
• 32:17
  three,
• 32:17
  there
• 32:17
  are
• 32:18
  some
• 32:18
  new
• 32:18
  technologies
• 32:18
  that
• 32:19
  are
• 32:19
  coming
• 32:19
  out
• 32:19
  for
• 32:19
  dryers
• 32:20
  that
• 32:20
  I'm
• 32:20
  very
• 32:20
  curious
• 32:21
  to
• 32:21
  see
• 32:21
  that
• 32:22
  I
• 32:22
  think
• 32:22
  could
• 32:22
  be
• 32:22
  really
• 32:22
  cool.
• 32:23
  We
• 32:23
  just
• 32:23
  need
• 32:23
  to
• 32:23
  see
• 32:23
  how
• 32:24
  well
• 32:24
  they
• 32:24
  hold
• 32:24
  up.
• 32:25
  And
• 32:25
  that
• 32:25
  is
• 32:26
  a
• 32:26
  dryer,
• 32:27
  that
• 32:27
  is
• 32:27
  a
• 32:27
  heat
• 32:27
  pump
• 32:28
  dryer.
• 32:28
  Now,
• 32:28
  this
• 32:29
  dryer
• 32:30
  takes
• 32:30
  a
• 32:31
  a
• 32:31
  little
• 32:31
  longer
• 32:32
  to
• 32:32
  dry,
• 32:33
  but
• 32:33
  it
• 32:33
  uses
• 32:33
  a
• 32:34
  lot
• 32:34
  less
• 32:34
  energy
• 32:34
  and
• 32:35
  you're
• 32:35
  not
• 32:35
  pushing
• 32:35
  all
• 32:36
  of
• 32:36
  that
• 32:36
  outside.
• 32:37
  So
• 32:37
  my
• 32:37
  biggest
• 32:38
  complaint
• 32:38
  with
• 32:39
  our
• 32:39
  typical
• 32:39
  clothes
• 32:40
  dryers
• 32:40
  now
• 32:40
  is
• 32:41
  one,
• 32:41
  traditionally
• 32:42
  they
• 32:42
  leak
• 32:42
  a
• 32:42
  little
• 32:42
  bit.
• 32:43
  So
• 32:43
  you
• 32:43
  get
• 32:43
  wherever
• 32:44
  that
• 32:44
  laundry
• 32:44
  room
• 32:44
  is,
• 32:45
  you
• 32:45
  get
• 32:45
  a
• 32:45
  little
• 32:45
  bit
• 32:45
  of
• 32:46
  clothing
• 32:46
  dust
• 32:47
  in
• 32:47
  there
• 32:47
  from
• 32:47
  the
• 32:47
  lint
• 32:48
  and
• 32:48
  everything
• 32:48
  else.
• 32:49
  But
• 32:50
  most
• 32:50
  people
• 32:51
  don't
• 32:51
  have
• 32:51
  that
• 32:51
  duct
• 32:52
  perfectly
• 32:52
  sealed
• 32:53
  up
• 32:53
  in
• 32:53
  the
• 32:53
  back.
• 32:53
  It's
• 32:53
  close,
• 32:54
  but
• 32:54
  it's
• 32:54
  not
• 32:54
  perfectly
• 32:55
  sealed
• 32:55
  up.
• 32:56
  Now
• 32:56
  these
• 32:56
  new
• 32:57
  heat
• 32:57
  pump
• 32:58
  water,
• 32:58
  heat
• 32:59
  water
• 32:59
  heaters.
• 32:59
  Heat
• 32:59
  pump
• 33:00
  dryers
• 33:00
  are
• 33:00
  cool
• 33:01
  because
• 33:02
  they
• 33:02
  basically
• 33:02
  dehumidify
• 33:03
  the
• 33:03
  clothes.
• 33:04
  So
• 33:05
  you
• 33:05
  don't
• 33:05
  have
• 33:06
  the
• 33:06
  air
• 33:06
  going
• 33:06
  through
• 33:07
  there.
• 33:07
  You're
• 33:08
  not
• 33:08
  using
• 33:08
  all
• 33:08
  that
• 33:08
  air
• 33:09
  and
• 33:09
  having
• 33:09
  to
• 33:09
  pump
• 33:09
  it
• 33:09
  outside.
• 33:10
  It's
• 33:11
  dehumidifying
• 33:12
  within
• 33:12
  the
• 33:13
  machine.
• 33:14
  So
• 33:14
  now
• 33:14
  it's
• 33:14
  taking
• 33:15
  that
• 33:15
  and
• 33:16
  not
• 33:16
  putting
• 33:16
  that
• 33:16
  lint
• 33:17
  into
• 33:17
  the
• 33:17
  air
• 33:18
  of
• 33:18
  the
• 33:18
  home.
• 33:19
  It's
• 33:19
  not
• 33:19
  putting
• 33:19
  it
• 33:20
  outside.
• 33:20
  All
• 33:21
  right,
• 33:21
  and
• 33:21
  we
• 33:21
  come
• 33:21
  back.
• 33:22
  We're
• 33:22
  going
• 33:22
  to
• 33:22
  wrap
• 33:22
  up
• 33:22

  I've

• 36:24

• 36:25
  that
• 36:26
  are
• 36:26
  about
• 36:26
  as
• 36:26
  valuable
• 36:27
  as
• 36:27
  a
• 36:27

• 36:29
  top
• 36:29

• 36:31
  And
• 36:31
  the
• 36:31
  next
• 36:31
  one
• 36:32
  here
• 36:32
  is
• 36:32
  important
• 36:33
  and
• 36:34
  it's
• 36:34
  getting
• 36:35
  this
• 36:35
  way
• 36:36
  now.
• 36:36
  It's
• 36:36

• 36:37
  We
• 36:37
  just
• 36:37
  need
• 36:38
  to
• 36:38
  see
• 36:38
  if
• 36:39
  people
• 36:39
  are
• 36:39
  going
• 36:39
  to
• 36:39
  start
• 36:40
  holding
• 36:40
  people
• 36:40
  accountable
• 36:41
  for
• 36:41
  that.
• 36:41
  And
• 36:42
  that
• 36:42
  is
• 36:42
  dry
• 36:43
  cutting
• 36:43
  quartz
• 36:44
  or
• 36:44
  granite
• 36:45
  countertops
• 36:46
  on
• 36:46
  site.
• 36:47
  Am
• 36:47
  I
• 36:48
  talking
• 36:48
  about
• 36:48
  if
• 36:49
  I
• 36:49
  go
• 36:49
  into
• 36:50
  a
• 36:50
  quality
• 36:51
  granite
• 36:51
  fabricator,
• 36:52
  they
• 36:53
  have
• 36:53
  CNC
• 36:53
  machines,
• 36:54
  beam
• 36:54
  saws,
• 36:55
  all
• 36:56
  these
• 36:56
  things
• 36:57
  in
• 36:57
  there
• 36:57
  that
• 36:58
  are
• 36:58
  cutting
• 36:59
  without
• 36:59
  dust.
• 37:00
  So
• 37:00
  they're
• 37:01
  dealing
• 37:01
  with
• 37:01
  that,
• 37:02
  dealing
• 37:02
  with
• 37:02
  the
• 37:02
  dust.
• 37:03
  It's
• 37:04
  under
• 37:04
  control.
• 37:05
  It's
• 37:05
  a
• 37:05
  clean
• 37:06
  workplace.
• 37:07
  But
• 37:07
  what
• 37:07
  I
• 37:08
  see,
• 37:08
  and
• 37:09
  I
• 37:09
  see
• 37:09
  this
• 37:09
  a
• 37:09
  lot
• 37:09
  in
• 37:10
  California,
• 37:11
  even
• 37:11
  though
• 37:11
  it's
• 37:11
  against
• 37:12
  the
• 37:12
  law
• 37:12
  there,
• 37:12
  I
• 37:13
  see
• 37:13
  it
• 37:13
  here
• 37:13
  even
• 37:14
  in
• 37:15
  my
• 37:15
  area.
• 37:16
  And
• 37:16
  I'm
• 37:16
  sure
• 37:16
  you
• 37:16
  see
• 37:16
  it
• 37:16
  in
• 37:17
  your
• 37:17
  area.
• 37:18
  Ever
• 37:18
  been
• 37:18
  to
• 37:18
  a
• 37:18

• 37:18

• 37:19
  or
• 37:20
  you've
• 37:20
  been
• 37:20
  to,
• 37:21
  I
• 37:21
  don't
• 37:21
  know,
• 37:22
  seen
• 37:22
  in
• 37:22
  your
• 37:23
  neighborhood,
• 37:23
  granite
• 37:24
  crew
• 37:24
  out
• 37:24
  there
• 37:24
  and
• 37:25
  they're
• 37:25
  cutting
• 37:25
  the
• 37:25
  sink
• 37:25
  out
• 37:25
  in
• 37:26
  the
• 37:26
  driveway
• 37:26
  and
• 37:26
  they've
• 37:27
  got
• 37:27
  a
• 37:27
  grinder
• 37:27
  and
• 37:28
  they're
• 37:28
  just
• 37:28
  cutting
• 37:28
  away
• 37:29
  and
• 37:29
  there's
• 37:30
  a
• 37:30
  Charlie
• 37:30
  Brown
• 37:31
  pig
• 37:31
  pen
• 37:32
  cloud
• 37:32
  of
• 37:33
  dust.
• 37:33
  And
• 37:33
  you
• 37:34
  know
• 37:34
  something,
• 37:35
  it's
• 37:35
  almost
• 37:35
  always
• 37:36
  silica
• 37:36
  dust,
• 37:37
  which
• 37:37
  means
• 37:38
  these
• 37:38
  guys
• 37:38
  are
• 37:38
  going
• 37:39
  to
• 37:39
  have
• 37:39
  some
• 37:39
  serious
• 37:40
  health
• 37:40
  issues
• 37:41
  down
• 37:41
  the
• 37:41
  road.
• 37:42
  That
• 37:42
  stuff
• 37:43
  is
• 37:43
  horrible.
• 37:44
  You
• 37:44
  get
• 37:44
  silicosis.
• 37:45
  It's
• 37:45
  just
• 37:45
  one
• 37:45
  of
• 37:45
  those
• 37:45
  things
• 37:46
  that
• 37:47
  it
• 37:47
  is
• 37:48
  a
• 37:48
  EPA
• 37:49
  banned.
• 37:50
  You
• 37:50
  can't
• 37:51
  be
• 37:51
  doing
• 37:51
  that
• 37:51
  if
• 37:51
  you
• 37:51
  want
• 37:51
  to
• 37:52
  get
• 37:52
  fined
• 37:52
  by
• 37:52
  your
• 37:53
  state,
• 37:53
  federal,
• 37:54
  whatever.
• 37:54
  Whoever
• 37:54
  takes
• 37:55
  care
• 37:55
  of
• 37:55
  that
• 37:55
  in
• 37:55
  your
• 37:55
  area
• 37:56
  have
• 37:56
  somebody
• 37:57
  that's
• 37:57
  looking
• 37:57
  for
• 37:57
  that.
• 37:58
  I've
• 37:58
  seen
• 37:58
  it.
• 37:59
  I
• 37:59
  know
• 37:59
  people
• 37:59
  that
• 38:00
  hired
• 38:01
  brick
• 38:01
  masons
• 38:02
  to
• 38:02
  work
• 38:02
  on
• 38:02
  their
• 38:02
  chimneys
• 38:03
  while
• 38:03
  they
• 38:03
  were
• 38:03
  on
• 38:04
  vacation
• 38:05
  and
• 38:05
  they
• 38:05
  came
• 38:05
  back
• 38:06
  home
• 38:07
  after
• 38:07
  being
• 38:07
  out
• 38:08
  of
• 38:08
  country,
• 38:09
  joined
• 38:09
  the
• 38:09
  beach
• 38:09
  someplace
• 38:10
  and
• 38:10
  they
• 38:11
  had
• 38:12
  somebody
• 38:12
  Knocking
• 38:13
  on
• 38:13
  their
• 38:13
  door
• 38:13
  on
• 38:13
  Monday
• 38:14
  saying,
• 38:15
  hey,
• 38:15
  we
• 38:15
  had
• 38:15
  complaints
• 38:16
  about
• 38:16
  this
• 38:16
  cloud
• 38:16
  of
• 38:17
  dust
• 38:17
  in
• 38:17
  the
• 38:17
  neighborhood.
• 38:18
  Now
• 38:18
  they
• 38:18
  couldn't
• 38:19
  get
• 38:19
  the
• 38:19
  guy
• 38:19
  on
• 38:20
  it
• 38:20
  or
• 38:21
  the
• 38:21
  team
• 38:21
  or
• 38:21
  whoever
• 38:21
  it
• 38:22
  was
• 38:22
  because
• 38:23
  nobody
• 38:23
  was
• 38:23
  there.
• 38:23
  But
• 38:24
  all
• 38:24
  it
• 38:24
  takes
• 38:24
  is
• 38:24
  for
• 38:24
  somebody
• 38:25
  to
• 38:25
  show
• 38:25
  up.
• 38:26
  And
• 38:26
  you
• 38:26
  can't
• 38:27
  be
• 38:27
  dry
• 38:27
  cutting
• 38:28
  concrete,
• 38:29
  granite,
• 38:30
  any
• 38:31
  of
• 38:31
  those
• 38:31
  products.
• 38:31
  It
• 38:32
  has
• 38:32
  to
• 38:32
  be
• 38:32
  a
• 38:32
  wet
• 38:32
  cut.
• 38:33
  So
• 38:34
  this
• 38:34
  is
• 38:35
  really
• 38:35
  a
• 38:36
  big
• 38:36
  issue
• 38:37
  out
• 38:37
  there.
• 38:38
  And
• 38:38
  there's
• 38:38
  another
• 38:39
  one
• 38:39
  here.
• 38:40
  And
• 38:40
  this
• 38:40
  kind
• 38:40
  of
• 38:40
  goes
• 38:41
  into
• 38:41
  number
• 38:42
  nine
• 38:42
  on
• 38:43
  my
• 38:43
  list.
• 38:44
  I'm
• 38:44
  seeing
• 38:44
  the
• 38:45
  same
• 38:45
  issue
• 38:46
  with
• 38:47
  laminate
• 38:47
  floors
• 38:48
  or
• 38:49
  even
• 38:49
  hardwood
• 38:49
  floors
• 38:50
  that
• 38:50
  are
• 38:50
  putting
• 38:50
  in
• 38:51
  stone.
• 38:52
  Limestone
• 38:53
  core
• 38:54
  centers
• 38:54
  on
• 38:54
  these.
• 38:55
  They're
• 38:55
  trying
• 38:55
  to
• 38:56
  make
• 38:56
  it
• 38:56
  so
• 38:56
  if
• 38:56
  you
• 38:56
  heat
• 38:56
  it,
• 38:57
  it's
• 38:57
  got
• 38:57
  some
• 38:57
  thermal
• 38:58
  mass
• 38:58
  to
• 38:58
  it.
• 38:59
  I
• 38:59
  get
• 38:59
  it.
• 39:00
  But
• 39:00
  you
• 39:00
  also
• 39:01
  see
• 39:01
  a
• 39:01
  lot
• 39:01
  of
• 39:01
  people
• 39:01
  not
• 39:02
  owning
• 39:02
  that
• 39:02
  snap
• 39:03
  cutter.
• 39:04
  So
• 39:04
  what
• 39:04
  do
• 39:04
  they
• 39:04
  do?
• 39:04
  They're
• 39:05
  out
• 39:05
  there
• 39:05
  chopping
• 39:05
  it
• 39:06
  on
• 39:06
  the
• 39:06
  chop
• 39:06
  saw.
• 39:07
  Guess
• 39:07
  what?
• 39:08
  I've
• 39:08
  called
• 39:08
  around.
• 39:09
  None
• 39:10
  of
• 39:10
  these
• 39:10
  flooring
• 39:10
  companies
• 39:11
  are
• 39:11
  telling
• 39:11
  you
• 39:11
  if
• 39:11
  they've
• 39:12
  got
• 39:12
  silica,
• 39:13
  silica
• 39:13
  dust
• 39:14
  in
• 39:14
  that
• 39:14
  stone
• 39:14
  core.
• 39:15
  It's
• 39:15
  post
• 39:16
  consumer.
• 39:16
  Guess
• 39:16
  what?
• 39:17
  I
• 39:17
  bet
• 39:17
  you
• 39:17
  it
• 39:17
  does.
• 39:18
  Odds
• 39:18
  are
• 39:18
  it
• 39:19
  does,
• 39:19
  because
• 39:19
  otherwise
• 39:19
  they'd
• 39:20
  be
• 39:20
  saying
• 39:20
  it
• 39:20
  doesn't.
• 39:21
  And
• 39:21
  again,
• 39:23
  silica
• 39:23
  dust
• 39:24
  all
• 39:24
  around
• 39:25
  inside
• 39:25
  the
• 39:25
  house
• 39:25
  because
• 39:25
  they're
• 39:26
  probably
• 39:26
  cutting
• 39:26
  it
• 39:26
  inside.
• 39:27
  I
• 39:27
  want
• 39:28
  to
• 39:28
  make
• 39:28
  sure
• 39:28
  that
• 39:28
  that
• 39:29
  is
• 39:29
  something
• 39:29
  that's
• 39:29
  being
• 39:29
  addressed.
• 39:30
  You
• 39:30
  shouldn't
• 39:30
  be
• 39:31
  cutting
• 39:31
  it
• 39:31
  with
• 39:31
  a
• 39:31
  saw
• 39:32
  inside
• 39:32
  like
• 39:32
  that.
• 39:33
  Take
• 39:34
  the
• 39:34
  proper.
• 39:35
  There's.
• 39:35
  I'm
• 39:35
  not
• 39:35
  going
• 39:36
  to
• 39:36
  get
• 39:36
  into
• 39:36
  on
• 39:36
  the
• 39:36
  show
• 39:36
  because
• 39:37
  there's
• 39:37
  a
• 39:37
  lot
• 39:37
  of
• 39:37
  things
• 39:37
  you
• 39:38
  have
• 39:38
  to
• 39:38
  follow.
• 39:39
  But
• 39:39
  you
• 39:39
  need
• 39:39
  respirator.
• 39:40
  There's
• 39:40
  a
• 39:41
  lot
• 39:41
  of
• 39:41
  things
• 39:41
  you
• 39:41
  have
• 39:41
  to
• 39:42
  do.
• 39:42
  Vacuum
• 39:43
  system
• 39:44
  to
• 39:44
  meet
• 39:45
  all
• 39:45
  the
• 39:45
  codes.
• 39:46
  And
• 39:46
  there's
• 39:46
  a
• 39:46
  lot
• 39:47
  to
• 39:47
  it.
• 39:47
  And
• 39:48
  that's
• 39:48
  why
• 39:48
  you're
• 39:48
  seeing
• 39:49
  with
• 39:49
  foundation
• 39:50
  companies
• 39:50
  when
• 39:51
  they're
• 39:51
  having
• 39:51
  to
• 39:51
  grind
• 39:51
  and
• 39:52
  do
• 39:52
  stuff.
• 39:52
  There's
• 39:52
  all
• 39:53
  these
• 39:53
  new
• 39:53
  tools
• 39:53
  and
• 39:54
  materials
• 39:54
  and
• 39:55
  safety
• 39:55
  stuff
• 39:55
  they
• 39:55
  have
• 39:56
  to
• 39:56
  follow.
• 39:56
  And
• 39:56
  I
• 39:56
  get
• 39:57
  it
• 39:57
  because
• 39:57
  I
• 39:57
  want
• 39:57
  the
• 39:57
  homeowners
• 39:58
  and
• 39:58
  the
• 39:58
  workers
• 39:59
  safe.
• 39:59
  So
• 40:00
  be
• 40:00
  really
• 40:00
  careful
• 40:01
  with
• 40:01
  that
• 40:01
  one.
• 40:02
  Now
• 40:02
  the
• 40:02
  next
• 40:03
  one
• 40:03
  here
• 40:03
  and
• 40:04
  slide
• 40:04
  over
• 40:05
  into
• 40:05
  this
• 40:05
  one.
• 40:05
  Another
• 40:06
  material
• 40:06
  that
• 40:06
  I'm
• 40:07
  just
• 40:07
  tired
• 40:07
  of
• 40:07
  out
• 40:07
  there
• 40:08
  that
• 40:08
  I
• 40:08
  think
• 40:08
  is
• 40:08
  it's
• 40:09
  had
• 40:09
  its
• 40:09
  run.
• 40:10
  Laminate
• 40:11
  floors.
• 40:11
  They're
• 40:12
  loud,
• 40:13
  they're
• 40:13
  noisy.
• 40:14
  They
• 40:14
  look
• 40:14
  like
• 40:14
  a
• 40:15
  picture
• 40:15
  of
• 40:15
  wood.
• 40:16
  I
• 40:16
  would
• 40:16
  like
• 40:16
  to
• 40:17
  see
• 40:17
  laminate
• 40:18
  floors
• 40:18
  go
• 40:18
  away.
• 40:19
  I
• 40:19
  have
• 40:19
  it
• 40:19
  in
• 40:19
  my
• 40:19
  house.
• 40:19
  It's
• 40:20
  not
• 40:20
  the
• 40:20
  most
• 40:20
  durable.
• 40:21
  They're
• 40:22
  horrible
• 40:22
  on
• 40:22
  stairs.
• 40:23
  They
• 40:23
  love
• 40:23
  to
• 40:23
  scratch
• 40:24
  up
• 40:24
  on
• 40:24
  the
• 40:24
  edges
• 40:24
  really
• 40:24
  quickly,
• 40:25
  especially
• 40:25
  if
• 40:25
  you
• 40:25
  have
• 40:25
  pets.
• 40:26
  It's
• 40:26
  just
• 40:26
  one
• 40:27
  of
• 40:27
  those
• 40:27
  things
• 40:27
  that
• 40:27
  don't
• 40:28
  hold
• 40:28
  up
• 40:28
  well
• 40:29
  and
• 40:30
  Then
• 40:31
  if
• 40:31
  you
• 40:31
  have
• 40:31
  any
• 40:31
  flex
• 40:32
  in
• 40:32
  the
• 40:32
  floor,
• 40:32
  they
• 40:32
  like
• 40:33
  to
• 40:33
  unsnap.
• 40:34
  And
• 40:35
  it's
• 40:35
  just.
• 40:36
  It's
• 40:36
  a
• 40:36
  material
• 40:37
  that
• 40:38
  between
• 40:38
  laminate
• 40:39
  or
• 40:39
  lvp.
• 40:39
  I'm
• 40:40
  not
• 40:40
  even
• 40:40
  the
• 40:40
  biggest
• 40:40
  fan
• 40:40
  of
• 40:40
  LB
• 40:41
  LVP
• 40:41
  anymore.
• 40:42
  After
• 40:42
  having
• 40:42
  it
• 40:42
  in
• 40:43
  two
• 40:43
  homes,
• 40:44
  I'm
• 40:44
  at
• 40:44
  the
• 40:44
  point
• 40:44
  where
• 40:44
  I'm
• 40:45
  done
• 40:45
  with
• 40:45
  it.
• 40:45
  I
• 40:46
  want
• 40:46
  something
• 40:46
  more
• 40:47
  durable.
• 40:47
  Yeah,
• 40:48
  it's
• 40:48
  better
• 40:48
  than
• 40:48
  carpet,
• 40:49
  but
• 40:49
  I'd
• 40:49
  much
• 40:50
  rather
• 40:50
  have
• 40:50
  a
• 40:50
  real
• 40:51
  wood
• 40:51
  product
• 40:51
  there
• 40:51
  that
• 40:52
  I
• 40:52
  can
• 40:52
  care
• 40:52
  and
• 40:52
  maintain
• 40:53
  for
• 40:54
  and
• 40:54
  even
• 40:54
  my
• 40:55
  dogs.
• 40:55
  My
• 40:55
  hardwood
• 40:56
  floors
• 40:56
  hold
• 40:56
  up
• 40:56
  great.
• 40:57
  As
• 40:57
  long
• 40:57
  as
• 40:57
  you
• 40:57
  have
• 40:57
  a
• 40:57
  good
• 40:57
  finish
• 40:58
  on
• 40:58
  it,
• 40:58
  it's
• 40:58
  great.
• 40:59
  That's
• 40:59
  another
• 41:00
  thing
• 41:00
  to
• 41:00
  consider.
• 41:01
  I
• 41:01
  would
• 41:02
  mind
• 41:02
  if
• 41:03
  I
• 41:03
  didn't
• 41:03
  see
• 41:03
  laminate
• 41:03
  floors
• 41:04
  again,
• 41:04
  I'd
• 41:04
  be
• 41:05
  okay
• 41:05
  with
• 41:05
  that.
• 41:06
  And
• 41:06
  I
• 41:06
  think
• 41:06
  there's
• 41:07
  a
• 41:07
  place
• 41:07
  for
• 41:07
  it.
• 41:07
  But
• 41:07
  at
• 41:08
  the
• 41:08
  same
• 41:08
  point,
• 41:09
  it's
• 41:09
  just
• 41:09
  such
• 41:10
  a
• 41:10
  material
• 41:10
  that
• 41:10
  you
• 41:10
  really
• 41:10
  can't
• 41:11
  repair.
• 41:12
  And
• 41:12
  once
• 41:12
  it
• 41:12
  gets
• 41:12
  damaged,
• 41:13
  you
• 41:13
  just
• 41:14
  have
• 41:14
  to
• 41:14
  rip
• 41:14
  it
• 41:14
  out
• 41:14
  and
• 41:14
  throw
• 41:15
  it
• 41:15
  away,
• 41:15
  which
• 41:15
  I'm
• 41:16
  not
• 41:16
  a
• 41:16
  big
• 41:16
  fan
• 41:16
  of.
• 41:16
  I'd
• 41:17
  much
• 41:17
  rather
• 41:17
  see
• 41:17
  something
• 41:18
  that
• 41:18
  you
• 41:18
  could
• 41:18
  do
• 41:18
  something
• 41:19
  to
• 41:19
  do
• 41:19
  a
• 41:19
  little
• 41:20
  repair
• 41:20
  or
• 41:20
  have
• 41:21
  companies
• 41:21
  do
• 41:21
  a
• 41:21
  better
• 41:21
  job
• 41:21
  of
• 41:22
  building
• 41:22
  repair
• 41:22
  kits
• 41:22
  for
• 41:23
  these.
• 41:23
  So
• 41:24
  there
• 41:24
  we
• 41:24
  go.
• 41:24
  Now,
• 41:25
  my
• 41:25
  last
• 41:25
  one
• 41:25
  here
• 41:26
  is
• 41:26
  one
• 41:27
  of
• 41:27
  the
• 41:27
  things
• 41:27
  that
• 41:27
  I've
• 41:27
  been
• 41:27
  fighting
• 41:28
  on
• 41:28
  the
• 41:28
  Internet
• 41:28
  for
• 41:28
  a
• 41:28
  long
• 41:29
  time,
• 41:29
  and
• 41:30
  that
• 41:30
  is
• 41:31
  using
• 41:31
  Push
• 41:32
  to
• 41:32
  Connect
• 41:32
  like
• 41:32
  sharkbite
• 41:33
  fittings
• 41:34
  for
• 41:34
  your
• 41:34
  plumbing
• 41:34
  projects.
• 41:35
  Now,
• 41:36
  I
• 41:37
  have
• 41:37
  seen
• 41:38
  hundreds
• 41:39
  of
• 41:39
  thousands
• 41:40
  of
• 41:40
  dollars
• 41:40
  of
• 41:40
  water
• 41:41
  damage
• 41:41
  from
• 41:42
  these
• 41:42
  things
• 41:42
  failing
• 41:43
  over
• 41:43
  the
• 41:43
  years.
• 41:44
  Now,
• 41:45
  these
• 41:45
  were
• 41:45
  also
• 41:46
  installed
• 41:46
  correctly
• 41:47
  by
• 41:47
  plumbers
• 41:48
  at
• 41:48
  the
• 41:49
  time.
• 41:49
  So
• 41:50
  you
• 41:50
  will
• 41:50
  be
• 41:50
  better
• 41:51
  off
• 41:51
  doing
• 41:52
  the
• 41:52
  repair
• 41:52
  correctly.
• 41:53
  Now,
• 41:54
  here's
• 41:54
  where
• 41:54
  I
• 41:54
  think
• 41:54
  Push
• 41:55
  to
• 41:55
  Connect
• 41:55
  fittings
• 41:56
  have
• 41:56
  their
• 41:56
  place.
• 41:57
  I
• 41:58
  think
• 41:58
  they're
• 41:58
  great
• 41:59
  as
• 41:59
  an
• 41:59
  emergency
• 42:00
  tool.
• 42:00
  If
• 42:01
  you're
• 42:01
  doing
• 42:01
  some
• 42:01
  work
• 42:02
  in
• 42:02
  the
• 42:02
  house
• 42:03
  and
• 42:03
  you're
• 42:03
  gonna
• 42:03
  cut
• 42:04
  off
• 42:04
  a
• 42:04
  valve
• 42:04
  and
• 42:05
  re.
• 42:05
  And
• 42:05
  maybe
• 42:06
  it's
• 42:06
  a.
• 42:06
  You're
• 42:07
  tearing
• 42:07
  out
• 42:07
  a
• 42:07
  bathroom
• 42:08
  and
• 42:08
  you're
• 42:08
  tearing
• 42:08
  out
• 42:09
  the
• 42:09
  shower
• 42:09
  valve
• 42:09
  and
• 42:09
  you
• 42:10
  need
• 42:10
  to
• 42:10
  cut
• 42:10
  it,
• 42:11
  cap
• 42:11
  it
• 42:11
  off
• 42:11
  real
• 42:12
  quick,
• 42:12
  totally
• 42:13
  get
• 42:13
  it.
• 42:13
  You
• 42:13
  can
• 42:14
  pull
• 42:14
  that
• 42:14
  cap
• 42:15
  right
• 42:15
  back
• 42:15
  off
• 42:15
  later
• 42:16
  and
• 42:17
  either
• 42:17
  sweat
• 42:18
  in
• 42:18
  the
• 42:18
  new
• 42:18
  fittings,
• 42:19
  sweat
• 42:19
  on
• 42:20
  a
• 42:20
  conversion
• 42:20
  to
• 42:20
  go
• 42:20
  to
• 42:20
  pex.
• 42:21
  Whatever
• 42:21
  you're
• 42:21
  doing,
• 42:22
  there's
• 42:22
  a
• 42:22
  way
• 42:23
  to
• 42:23
  do
• 42:23
  it.
• 42:23
  But
• 42:24
  I've
• 42:24
  just
• 42:24
  seen
• 42:25
  Push
• 42:25
  to
• 42:25
  Connect
• 42:26
  fittings,
• 42:26
  especially
• 42:27
  the
• 42:27
  Shark
• 42:27
  Bites,
• 42:28
  that
• 42:29
  brand
• 42:29
  fail
• 42:30
  time
• 42:30
  and
• 42:30
  time
• 42:30
  again.
• 42:31
  And
• 42:32
  I
• 42:32
  tell
• 42:33
  you
• 42:33
  what,
• 42:33
  I
• 42:34
  always.
• 42:34
  I
• 42:34
  just
• 42:34
  say,
• 42:35
  don't
• 42:35
  use
• 42:36
  them
• 42:36
  now.
• 42:37
  I
• 42:37
  guess
• 42:37
  they
• 42:38
  have
• 42:38
  a
• 42:38
  new
• 42:38
  one
• 42:38
  that's
• 42:39
  coming
• 42:39
  out
• 42:40
  if
• 42:40
  it's
• 42:40
  not
• 42:40
  out
• 42:41
  someplace
• 42:42
  that
• 42:42
  is
• 42:43
  supposed
• 42:43
  to
• 42:43
  be
• 42:43
  more
• 42:43
  reliable.
• 42:44
  But
• 42:44
  it
• 42:44
  always
• 42:44
  makes
• 42:45
  interesting
• 42:45
  when
• 42:45
  you
• 42:45
  See
• 42:45
  them
• 42:46
  take
• 42:46
  their
• 42:46
  time,
• 42:46
  old
• 42:47
  one,
• 42:47
  and
• 42:47
  they're
• 42:48
  seemingly
• 42:49
  discontinuing
• 42:49
  it.
• 42:50
  And
• 42:50
  guess
• 42:50
  what,
• 42:51
  it's
• 42:52
  probably
• 42:53
  for
• 42:53
  a
• 42:53
  reason.
• 42:54
  But
• 42:54
  I
• 42:54
  have
• 42:55
  seen
• 42:55
  these
• 42:56
  things
• 42:56
  fail.
• 42:57
  And
• 42:57
  that's
• 42:57
  why
• 42:58
  really
• 42:58
  you
• 42:58
  don't
• 42:58
  see
• 42:59
  licensed
• 42:59
  plumbers
• 43:00
  use
• 43:00
  them,
• 43:00
  except
• 43:01
  for
• 43:01
  temporary.
• 43:02
  Because
• 43:02
  really
• 43:02
  they
• 43:03
  know
• 43:03
  how
• 43:03
  to
• 43:03
  use
• 43:03
  the
• 43:03
  torch.
• 43:04
  And
• 43:04
  learning
• 43:05
  how
• 43:05
  to
• 43:05
  sweat
• 43:05
  copper
• 43:06
  pipe
• 43:06
  is
• 43:06
  not
• 43:07
  that
• 43:07
  hard,
• 43:07
  guys.
• 43:07
  It's
• 43:07
  something
• 43:08
  that
• 43:08
  if
• 43:08
  you
• 43:08
  know
• 43:08
  the
• 43:08
  basics
• 43:09
  on
• 43:09
  it
• 43:10
  and
• 43:10
  you
• 43:10
  can
• 43:10
  learn,
• 43:11
  it
• 43:11
  goes
• 43:11
  pretty
• 43:12
  quick.
• 43:12
  And
• 43:13
  if
• 43:13
  you
• 43:13
  can
• 43:13
  learn
• 43:13
  to
• 43:13
  do
• 43:13
  that,
• 43:14
  then
• 43:14
  you
• 43:14
  can
• 43:15
  do
• 43:15
  that.
• 43:16
  I
• 43:16
  would
• 43:16
  never
• 43:16
  use
• 43:17
  a
• 43:17
  push
• 43:18
  to
• 43:18
  connect
• 43:18
  fitting
• 43:18
  with
• 43:19
  plastic
• 43:19
  pipe
• 43:20
  CPVC
• 43:21
  pipe.
• 43:21
  Oh
• 43:21
  my
• 43:22
  gosh,
• 43:22
  that
• 43:22
  slides
• 43:22
  right
• 43:23
  off
• 43:23
  of
• 43:23
  that
• 43:23
  stuff.
• 43:23
  That's.
• 43:24
  That's
• 43:24
  almost
• 43:24
  a
• 43:24
  guarantee
• 43:25
  to
• 43:25
  have
• 43:25
  a
• 43:25
  problem
• 43:25
  there.
• 43:26
  That's
• 43:27
  probably
• 43:27
  the
• 43:27
  biggest
• 43:28
  offender
• 43:29
  that
• 43:29
  I've
• 43:29
  seen
• 43:30
  is
• 43:30
  it's
• 43:30
  sliding
• 43:31
  off
• 43:31
  the
• 43:31
  CPVC
• 43:32
  pipe.
• 43:33
  And
• 43:33
  again,
• 43:34
  if
• 43:34
  you're
• 43:34
  using
• 43:35
  white
• 43:35
  CPVC
• 43:36
  to
• 43:36
  carry
• 43:36
  water,
• 43:37
  fresh
• 43:37
  water
• 43:37
  around
• 43:38
  your
• 43:38
  house,
• 43:38
  I
• 43:39
  wouldn't
• 43:39
  be
• 43:39
  using
• 43:39
  sprinkler
• 43:39
  pipe.
• 43:40
  Go
• 43:40
  through
• 43:40
  and
• 43:40
  do
• 43:40
  packs,
• 43:41
  do
• 43:41
  it
• 43:41
  right.
• 43:42
  But
• 43:42
  make
• 43:42
  sure
• 43:43
  that
• 43:43
  you're
• 43:43
  using
• 43:43
  the
• 43:44
  right
• 43:44
  fittings.
• 43:45
  And
• 43:46
  other
• 43:46
  than
• 43:47
  having
• 43:47
  something
• 43:47
  as
• 43:48
  an
• 43:48
  emergency
• 43:48
  tool,
• 43:49
  the
• 43:49
  removal
• 43:49
  tool
• 43:49
  there
• 43:50
  to
• 43:50
  have
• 43:50
  in
• 43:51
  your
• 43:51
  toolbox,
• 43:52
  I
• 43:52
  would
• 43:52
  say
• 43:53
  let
• 43:54
  those
• 43:54
  push
• 43:54
  to
• 43:54
  connect
• 43:54
  fittings
• 43:55
  go.
• 43:55
  They're
• 43:56
  just
• 43:56
  going
• 43:56
  to
• 43:56
  be
• 43:56
  a
• 43:57
  headache
• 43:57
  and
• 43:58
  you
• 43:58
  might
• 43:58
  as
• 43:58
  well
• 43:58
  get
• 43:58
  something
• 43:59
  nice
• 43:59
  on
• 43:59
  there.
• 44:00
  And
• 44:00
  that's
• 44:01
  my
• 44:01
  list,
• 44:01
  guys.
• 44:01
  That
• 44:02
  is
• 44:02
  my
• 44:02
  list.
• 44:03
  We've
• 44:03
  seen
• 44:03
  on
• 44:03
  the
• 44:04
  push
• 44:04
  to
• 44:04
  connect
• 44:04
  fittings,
• 44:04
  we've
• 44:05
  seen
• 44:05
  Roger
• 44:05
  Wakefield
• 44:06
  do
• 44:06
  some
• 44:06
  tests
• 44:06
  on
• 44:06
  them
• 44:07
  and
• 44:08
  that's
• 44:08
  interesting.
• 44:09
  There
• 44:09
  are
• 44:09
  better
• 44:09
  brands
• 44:10
  out
• 44:10
  there
• 44:10
  that
• 44:10
  hold
• 44:10
  up,
• 44:11
  but
• 44:11
  I
• 44:12
  just
• 44:12
  don't
• 44:12
  trust
• 44:12
  them.
• 44:12
  I've
• 44:12
  seen
• 44:13
  them
• 44:13
  fail
• 44:14
  and
• 44:14
  it's.
• 44:15
  They're
• 44:15
  expensive.
• 44:16
  You
• 44:16
  know
• 44:16
  why?
• 44:17
  If
• 44:17
  you
• 44:17
  can
• 44:17
  go
• 44:18
  buy
• 44:18
  a
• 44:18
  $50
• 44:19
  fitting
• 44:20
  and
• 44:21
  sweat
• 44:22
  that
• 44:22
  onto
• 44:22
  a
• 44:22
  piece
• 44:23
  of
• 44:23
  pipe,
• 44:23
  why
• 44:23
  go
• 44:23
  buy
• 44:23
  a
• 44:23
  $10
• 44:24
  one
• 44:25
  or
• 44:25
  $12
• 44:26
  one
• 44:26
  for
• 44:26
  something
• 44:27
  that's
• 44:27
  less
• 44:28
  reliable
• 44:28
  than
• 44:29
  that
• 44:29
  properly
• 44:30
  sweated
• 44:30
  fitting
• 44:31
  on
• 44:31
  there?
• 44:31
  That's
• 44:32
  my
• 44:32
  logic,
• 44:32
  guys.
• 44:33
  Hey,
• 44:33
  if
• 44:33
  you
• 44:33
  want
• 44:34
  to
• 44:34
  make
• 44:34
  a
• 44:34
  comment
• 44:34
  on
• 44:34
  these
• 44:35
  on
• 44:35
  my
• 44:35
  list
• 44:36
  here,
• 44:36
  feel
• 44:36
  free
• 44:37
  to
• 44:37
  send
• 44:37
  it
• 44:37
  over
• 44:37
  to
• 44:37
  me
• 44:37
  aroundthehouse
• 44:38
  online.com
• 44:40
  there's
• 44:40
  a
• 44:40
  contact
• 44:40
  me
• 44:41
  there.
• 44:41
  And
• 44:42
  of
• 44:42
  course,
• 44:42
  if
• 44:43
  you
• 44:43
  are
• 44:43
  a
• 44:44
  podcast
• 44:44
  listener
• 44:45
  of
• 44:45
  the
• 44:46
  show
• 44:46
  and
• 44:46
  you
• 44:46
  want
• 44:46
  to
• 44:46
  hear
• 44:46
  it
• 44:46
  commercial
• 44:47
  free,
• 44:48
  head
• 44:48
  over
• 44:48
  to
• 44:48
  aroundthehouse
• 44:49
  online.com
• 44:49
  we
• 44:50
  have
• 44:50
  our
• 44:50
  premium
• 44:50
  membership,
• 44:51
  four
• 44:51
  bucks.
• 44:52
  And
• 44:52
  I
• 44:52
  tell
• 44:53
  you
• 44:53
  what,
• 44:53
  that'll
• 44:53
  get
• 44:53
  you
• 44:54
  commercial
• 44:54
  free
• 44:54
  and
• 44:54
  you
• 44:54
  catch
• 44:55
  the
• 44:55
  show
• 44:55
  two
• 44:55
  days
• 44:55
  early
• 44:56
  so
• 44:56
  you
• 44:57
  can
• 44:57
  hear
• 44:57
  it
• 44:57
  on
• 44:57
  Thursday
• 44:57
  instead
• 44:58
  of
• 44:58
  Saturday
• 44:59
  and
• 44:59
  be
• 44:59
  a
• 44:59
  part
• 45:00
  of
• 45:00
  that
• 45:00
  exclusive
• 45:01
  club.
• 45:01
  And
• 45:01
  we're
• 45:01
  gonna
• 45:01
  have
• 45:02
  some
• 45:02
  other
• 45:02
  stuff.
• 45:02
  And
• 45:03
  there's
• 45:03
  a
• 45:03
  lot
• 45:03
  of
• 45:03
  episodes
• 45:04
  out
• 45:04
  there
• 45:05
  that
• 45:05
  are
• 45:05
  extended
• 45:06
  ones.
• 45:06
  So
• 45:06
  if
• 45:06
  you've
• 45:07
  heard
• 45:07
  the
• 45:07

• 45:07
  like,
• 45:08
  wow,
• 45:08
  I
• 45:09
  wish
• 45:09
  I
• 45:09
  could
• 45:09
  have
• 45:09
  heard
• 45:09
  a
• 45:09
  little
• 45:09
  bit
• 45:10
  more.
• 45:10
  Many
• 45:11
  of
• 45:11
  our
• 45:11
  interviews
• 45:11
  have
• 45:12
  another
• 45:12
  10
• 45:12
  or
• 45:12
  15
• 45:12
  minutes
• 45:13
  on
• 45:13
  that
• 45:14
  and
• 45:14
  you
• 45:14
  can
• 45:14
  catch
• 45:14
  it
• 45:14
  on
• 45:15
  there
• 45:15
  on
• 45:16
  the
• 45:16
  podcast
• 45:17
  in
• 45:17
  the
• 45:18
  premium
• 45:18
  membership.
• 45:18
  So
• 45:19
  take
• 45:19
  a
• 45:19
  look
• 45:19
  at
• 45:19
  that.
