- 0:08Speaker 1: Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello. Welcome to the
- 0:17Speaker 1: Naughty But Nice Show. I'm your host, Rob Shooter, and
- 0:19Speaker 1: it is Tuesday morning, which means our dear friend Delaina
- 0:22Speaker 1: Dixon joins us. Hey, Miss D, are you there?
- 0:26Speaker 2: I am, and I think Autumn is knocking on our door. Ooh,
- 0:31Speaker 2: I woke up this morning and Oh, I just wanted
- 0:33Speaker 2: to stay under the covers. How do you feel this morning?
- 0:37Speaker 1: I'm glad you didn't, so that I'm totally thrilled that
- 0:40Speaker 1: you are here. You're right, Misty.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Always for the Nazis.
- 0:43Speaker 1: You're the best. It's starting to get to that time
- 0:45Speaker 1: where I might have to get my sweater. I love
- 0:47Speaker 1: a sweater. I love a cardigan. I love a jumper.
- 0:49Speaker 1: We call them jumpers in Britain. So I can't wait
- 0:52Speaker 1: to get them out. And it is coming. Autumn is here. Okay,
- 0:55Speaker 1: let's jump into it. Our show, because that's here too.
- 0:57Speaker 1: What time is it, my friends? It is tea time.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Massive story at the top of the show. I nearly
- 1:02Speaker 1: broke into a format and did a special project, a
- 1:07Speaker 1: special podcast last night when this news broke. But I
- 1:11Speaker 1: wanted to save it for this morning. The Palace has
- 1:14Speaker 1: issued a statement explaining what Harry and Meghan's status actually is.
- 1:18Speaker 1: It's 12 days. They've been in the UK for 12 days.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Let me explain what's going on here. A lot of
- 1:23Speaker 1: authorities have been calling the palace wanting to know who
- 1:27Speaker 1: are they? The military, the police, all the royal sort
- 1:31Speaker 1: of local organizations. They have been calling the palace asking
- 1:35Speaker 1: for guidance. We've got a duke and a duchess who
- 1:39Speaker 1: have a prince and a princess as children. He is
- 1:42Speaker 1: his royal highness. They are back in Britain. How do
- 1:45Speaker 1: we handle this? So the palace issued a statement out.
- 1:49Speaker 1: to clarify all of that. The palace now, it has
- 1:53Speaker 1: clarified it by saying the Sussexes are private citizens, period.
- 1:58Speaker 1: They are not working royals. Despite returning to England, they
- 2:02Speaker 1: cannot use their HRH, that's His Royal Highness, Her Royal
- 2:06Speaker 1: Highness title. So they are private citizens. This is an
- 2:10Speaker 1: extraordinary clarification and it was circulated to Harry's team just
- 2:15Speaker 1: before It was circulated to government officials, to the military
- 2:19Speaker 1: and to the public for transparency. Now, Harry's team this
- 2:23Speaker 1: morning are pushing back, saying they're surprised. They did not
- 2:26Speaker 1: know this is coming. I spoke to my royal sources
- 2:29Speaker 1: and they said they were given the heads up. It
- 2:31Speaker 1: wasn't days of heads up. But before this went out,
- 2:34Speaker 1: I think a few hours before it was released to
- 2:37Speaker 1: all the counties, to the military, to the police, to
- 2:40Speaker 1: the government, they were given a heads up. They were
- 2:42Speaker 1: not asked to collaborate publicly. in this statement. Often when
- 2:46Speaker 1: you put out a statement, I remember when I was
- 2:47Speaker 1: working with JLo and she broke up with Ben, Ben's
- 2:50Speaker 1: team and myself drafted a statement. Same with Jessica Simpson.
- 2:53Speaker 1: When she broke up with Nick Lachey, I drafted the
- 2:57Speaker 1: breakup statement, but I had Nick's people on the phone too.
- 3:00Speaker 1: It's a collaboration of both sides. This was not a collaboration.
- 3:03Speaker 1: This was the palace putting this out. Now I broke
- 3:06Speaker 1: a story on my sub stack last night That, William
- 3:10Speaker 1: was the driving force behind this. William has been getting
- 3:12Speaker 1: a lot of questions. What's going on? Are they royals?
- 3:16Speaker 1: Are they not royals? Charities. When a famous person, this famous,
- 3:20Speaker 1: arrives in Britain, all the charities get together and say,
- 3:22Speaker 1: let's get them a letter. Let's get them as the
- 3:24Speaker 1: head of the charity. But who do we send it to?
- 3:26Speaker 1: Is it to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? Is it
- 3:29Speaker 1: to your royal highnesses? Are they working royals? So the
- 3:32Speaker 1: palace said enough. William said enough. And they finally put
- 3:35Speaker 1: a clarification out. But it told them in no uncertain
- 3:39Speaker 1: terms they are private citizens. Any charity work they do
- 3:43Speaker 1: will be as private citizens. They do not represent the
- 3:47Speaker 1: royal family. They are not part of the working royal family.
- 3:51Speaker 1: And let me be clear here, because it sounds like
- 3:53Speaker 1: a really harsh statement. This was their decision. Six years ago,
- 3:58Speaker 1: this is what they asked for. So they did not
- 4:01Speaker 1: get pushed out of the royal family. They left. We've
- 4:03Speaker 1: got to remember that because sometimes you can get it twisted,
- 4:06Speaker 1: can't you? They left. And now the palace is reminding
- 4:10Speaker 1: them that nothing has changed. They might be back in Britain,
- 4:13Speaker 1: but they are not working royals. What do you think?
- 4:16Speaker 2: Oh, there's so much to unpack there. Of course, I
- 4:19Speaker 2: had to do a little bit of a deep dive.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I mean, you are a real expert, but I did
- 4:23Speaker 2: want to understand. And I think for the two of them,
- 4:27Speaker 2: and especially Prince Harry's concern, is the kids going to school. And,
- 4:32Speaker 2: you know, you make this announcement. And if I'm correct,
- 4:35Speaker 2: and you can correct me, Rob, because they're private citizens,
- 4:38Speaker 2: even if they have private security, that security isn't licensed
- 4:42Speaker 2: to carry funds.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Firearms.
- 4:44Speaker 2: And I think that's the concern, you know, we're sending
- 4:46Speaker 2: our kids to school.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Now, I'm sure this is.
- 4:48Speaker 2: An extremely private school where you're going to drive up
- 4:51Speaker 2: in an armored car, you know, every teacher has been vetted,
- 4:55Speaker 2: but you still want that extra protection for the children
- 4:58Speaker 2: more than anything else. So I think that's where it's
- 5:00Speaker 2: coming from. But like you said, I don't think they
- 5:04Speaker 2: should assume if you say I stepped down from my job,
- 5:07Speaker 2: Just because I go hang out in their cafeteria doesn't
- 5:10Speaker 2: mean I'm representing the company anymore.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I've done that. I've left jobs and I've missed it
- 5:15Speaker 1: so much. I've gone to visit the staff. And I
- 5:18Speaker 1: suddenly think I'm back employed. I'm not. You were just visiting.
- 5:21Speaker 1: The security thing is very, very interesting because they have
- 5:24Speaker 1: said that Britain is too dangerous for them. So why
- 5:26Speaker 1: are they there? They're good parents. You might not like
- 5:29Speaker 1: them as royals or even as individuals. That's debatable. No
- 5:33Speaker 1: one argues that they're not good parents, and I just
- 5:35Speaker 1: don't believe for one second they would put their kids
- 5:37Speaker 1: at risk. They did not get kicked out of America.
- 5:40Speaker 1: They weren't pushed out. If they felt safe in California,
- 5:43Speaker 1: and if they really feel that their children need guards
- 5:46Speaker 1: who have guns, stay in America. Everybody has a gun
- 5:49Speaker 1: in America. If it's all about guns, then why you
- 5:51Speaker 1: leave America? If you want to talk about guns, this
- 5:54Speaker 1: is a great place to carry a gun, unfortunately, I think,
- 5:58Speaker 1: but maybe not everybody. Let's not get into all the
- 6:00Speaker 1: politics of that. But I would argue Britain is incredibly safe.
- 6:04Speaker 1: There are not many guns in Britain. In fact, in Britain,
- 6:07Speaker 1: you're much more likely to be stabbed than you are shot.
- 6:11Speaker 1: And so they know this. They brought their kids back
- 6:16Speaker 1: to Britain. If they thought for one minute their kids
- 6:20Speaker 1: were vulnerable, they wouldn't be there. They're good parents. I've
- 6:23Speaker 1: got to give them that. They're good parents. So I
- 6:25Speaker 1: don't buy that. I think they want it both ways.
- 6:29Speaker 1: And who doesn't? They want to be part-time royals. That's
- 6:32Speaker 1: what they wanted from day one. They asked the Queen,
- 6:36Speaker 1: can we be part-time royals? And she said, no, you can't. No,
- 6:40Speaker 1: I think so. Yeah, I think so. So Charles here
- 6:43Speaker 1: is honouring his mummy's wishes, but he's also honouring William's
- 6:47Speaker 1: wishes here. It makes it very difficult. What would happen
- 6:52Speaker 1: if William decided, you know what, I'm going to be
- 6:54Speaker 1: a part-time king. I'll be the king and then I'll
- 6:57Speaker 1: go and sell my jams. I'll become extraordinarily wealthy. We
- 7:02Speaker 1: have a lot of debate about this. Should our leaders
- 7:06Speaker 1: also be private capitalists? Should they make hundreds of millions
- 7:11Speaker 1: of dollars, maybe billions of dollars, William could make off
- 7:14Speaker 1: a title that he received, whether that be the king
- 7:19Speaker 1: or a political title? It's very, very interesting because the
- 7:22Speaker 1: rules seem to be changing. 20 years ago, absolutely not.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Now the rules are a little bit grey. Can you
- 7:30Speaker 1: still run a business and be a leader? Harry wants to.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Harry wants to have the best of both worlds. Who wouldn't?
- 7:36Speaker 1: He could make a billion dollars if he was a
- 7:39Speaker 1: part-time prince. But the palace are saying, no, it doesn't
- 7:43Speaker 1: work like that. And this statement was really issued because
- 7:46Speaker 1: the military, the government, the police force, they all had
- 7:50Speaker 1: questions about This is unprecedented. They don't know quite what
- 7:55Speaker 1: to do with them. When they were in America, it
- 7:57Speaker 1: was actually easier because it wasn't their problem. Now they
- 8:01Speaker 1: are living there. And so this is going to be
- 8:03Speaker 1: going on for a long, long time. It's going to
- 8:05Speaker 1: get very, very complicated. Don't worry. We're going to walk
- 8:08Speaker 1: you through it every step of the way.
- 8:10Speaker 2: We've got years to walk through it.
- 8:13Speaker 1: And the nice news is the kids start school today.
- 8:16Speaker 1: They start school today.
- 8:17Speaker 2: And I think this is all about the kids. They
- 8:19Speaker 2: are thinking... okay, we don't have titles, but our children
- 8:23Speaker 2: should not be denied their titles. And it's a lot
- 8:25Speaker 2: easier to fight for it if you're there on the.
- 8:29Speaker 1: On the ground. On the ground.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Versus being, oh, yes, they're a prince and princess, but
- 8:34Speaker 2: you guys are living in America. So I think that's
- 8:38Speaker 2: why they're there. This is all about the future generation,
- 8:42Speaker 2: generational wealth.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Or generational titles. I think you're on to something. I
- 8:46Speaker 1: also think, too, you just really, really... tied it together
- 8:50Speaker 1: for me it's not just the kids it's about money
- 8:52Speaker 1: this is where and that's normally in life unfortunately where
- 8:56Speaker 1: we always end up it's about money well.
- 8:59Speaker 2: You want to make sure your children are taken care
- 9:01Speaker 2: of and that's exactly what they're planning to do which.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Brings us sorry darling we didn't cut you up there
- 9:07Speaker 1: which brings us to our poll question of the day
- 9:10Speaker 1: the palace has issued a statement about harry and megan
- 9:14Speaker 1: this is quite surprising for 12 days they've said nothing
- 9:16Speaker 1: And this is the palace's way. They don't like to
- 9:18Speaker 1: put out statements. They're not like a real housewife who
- 9:22Speaker 1: puts out a statement a day. Every day I get
- 9:24Speaker 1: a press release from Bethany Frankel. Thank you very much.
- 9:28Speaker 1: They don't do that. They very rarely do it. They
- 9:31Speaker 1: have the motto, keep calm and carry on. So for
- 9:34Speaker 1: them to put out a statement is major. Our question is,
- 9:37Speaker 1: did this statement sting the Sussexes? They've already said they
- 9:40Speaker 1: were surprised. Did it sting? Hey, go vote. on our
- 9:45Speaker 1: X page, our Twitter page, at Naughty Nice Rob, our
- 9:47Speaker 1: Facebook page is Naughty Gossip, and be sure to check
- 9:51Speaker 1: back tomorrow to hear your results. Hey, Misty, what are
- 9:54Speaker 1: you working on?
- 9:56Speaker 2: Well, anybody who was on YouTube yesterday got a very
- 9:59Speaker 2: beautiful surprise because Kylie Jenner was finally giving fans a
- 10:03Speaker 2: peek inside the massive dream home she has been building
- 10:07Speaker 2: for six years. So she's 29 years old. She purchased
- 10:12Speaker 2: a five-acre Hidden Hills property for $ 15 million in 2020
- 10:16Speaker 2: and has been transforming it into what she calls her
- 10:19Speaker 2: Beautiful dream Italian home. So, okay, some of the things
- 10:23Speaker 2: that are in the home. It has reclaimed wood floors,
- 10:26Speaker 2: antique fireplaces, a basement gym and spa. Not one or
- 10:30Speaker 2: the other, both. Vintage tile bathrooms, a sports court, a
- 10:34Speaker 2: pizza oven, and outdoor entertaining areas. And as she's walking
- 10:39Speaker 2: us through this YouTube video, she's planting ancient olive trees,
- 10:43Speaker 2: lavender in the backyard, and a rose garden because, as
- 10:46Speaker 2: she puts it, She wants to feel like a princess. Now,
- 10:51Speaker 2: she's been doing this for six years, so she's kind
- 10:53Speaker 2: of had enough. She's ready for it to just be
- 10:55Speaker 2: done and to move in. But it's very interesting to
- 10:58Speaker 2: read the responses on YouTube. Of course, some people are like,
- 11:02Speaker 2: this is so exciting. And other people are like, look,
- 11:05Speaker 2: you know, this is just so outlandish from reality that
- 11:08Speaker 2: she's building a dream home while she already has a
- 11:12Speaker 2: dream home. But I wonder if this is... the Kardashians'
- 11:17Speaker 2: way back into the fold because we haven't, I don't
- 11:19Speaker 2: feel like we hear about them like we used to
- 11:21Speaker 2: 10 years ago. What do you think, Rob?
- 11:23Speaker 1: I was thinking about that yesterday because certain friends of
- 11:26Speaker 1: mine have podcasts, have sub-stacks that are just focused on royals.
- 11:30Speaker 1: And goodness knows there's enough news that I could turn
- 11:33Speaker 1: this into a royal podcast every single day. But, I
- 11:37Speaker 1: was thinking, my goodness, if I'd done that with the
- 11:39Speaker 1: Kardashians 10 years ago, we would have had enough content
- 11:42Speaker 1: every day to have a Kardashian podcast. But fast forward
- 11:45Speaker 1: 10 years, and now we don't really talk about the
- 11:47Speaker 1: Kardashians like we used to. We still talk about them,
- 11:49Speaker 1: but they're certainly not. And that's going to happen to
- 11:51Speaker 1: the Royals. I know my listeners, people, noughties out there,
- 11:55Speaker 1: I know that some of you are getting fatigued with
- 11:57Speaker 1: the Royals. Don't worry. It will pass. It will pass.
- 12:01Speaker 1: It always does. Just ask the Kardashians. This is wild, though,
- 12:04Speaker 1: because This home, it's so expensive. Six years. And I
- 12:08Speaker 1: get she wants to feel like a princess. But why
- 12:10Speaker 1: do we need to know you feel like a princess? Like,
- 12:13Speaker 1: just feel it yourself. You are a princess. You live
- 12:16Speaker 1: an extraordinary life. Why is it important for you to
- 12:20Speaker 1: rub it in my face? It feels tone deaf to me.
- 12:24Speaker 1: People are struggling.
- 12:24Speaker 2: I was just going to say that.
- 12:26Speaker 1: People are struggling out there. My friends are struggling. I
- 12:29Speaker 1: don't think I've had friends... without jobs or struggling to
- 12:32Speaker 1: pay their bills to this extent in the entire time
- 12:35Speaker 1: I've been in America. My friends are struggling. I'm doing okay,
- 12:39Speaker 1: thank you very much. But, Misty, you know people too.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Stuff is expensive. Gas is expensive. Travel is expensive. And
- 12:48Speaker 1: Kylie Jenner has to tell us about her big dream house. Hmm,
- 12:52Speaker 1: maybe not the right moment. Okay, moving on. Katie Holmes
- 12:55Speaker 1: has posted some beautiful pictures on Lake Como with her
- 12:58Speaker 1: new boyfriend, Jason. They look really, really happy together. He's 39.
- 13:02Speaker 1: She's 47, a little older there. And they were on
- 13:05Speaker 1: a holiday together. She did not have to put up
- 13:07Speaker 1: these photographs. So for a long time, she was very,
- 13:10Speaker 1: very private. Remember when she was dating Jamie Foxx and
- 13:12Speaker 1: she never acknowledged it? They were sneaking in and out
- 13:14Speaker 1: of restaurants. They never actually even admitted that they were
- 13:17Speaker 1: ever a couple. Katie doesn't want to do that anymore.
- 13:21Speaker 1: She wants to be much more transparent. She has not
- 13:23Speaker 1: been very successful in relationships since she broke up with
- 13:25Speaker 1: Tom Cruise. She would be the first to say that.
- 13:28Speaker 1: And I think she just now wants to live her life.
- 13:31Speaker 1: And so good for you, Katie. You shouldn't be sneaking around,
- 13:34Speaker 1: hiding love. Neither one of you have done anything wrong.
- 13:37Speaker 1: In fact, both of you have done everything right. Find love.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Find a person that you adore and shout it from
- 13:44Speaker 1: the rooftops. I'm all for this. What do you think?
- 13:47Speaker 2: I would agree. And I also think we'll go back
- 13:50Speaker 2: to children here. I mean, she has a daughter. And usually,
- 13:54Speaker 2: you know, when you have a kid, you keep your
- 13:56Speaker 2: private life private, right? You know, my mom is a
- 13:59Speaker 2: single mom, and sometimes you don't necessarily want to bring
- 14:02Speaker 2: your suitors around the house when you're bringing up a
- 14:05Speaker 2: young daughter. But now that her daughter has grown, and
- 14:07Speaker 2: I'm sure her daughter said exactly what I said to
- 14:10Speaker 2: my mom, please find someone to make yourself happy. And
- 14:14Speaker 2: so that's exactly what she's doing. And her younger man
- 14:17Speaker 2: isn't too much younger. They're within 10 years of each other,
- 14:20Speaker 2: so that is perfectly fine. And she looked fabulous in
- 14:23Speaker 2: that little white bikini. And you know what, girl? You
- 14:26Speaker 2: have done the work. Enjoy the spoils now.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. Okay, quickly before we get a break,
- 14:32Speaker 1: Rob Lowe is revealing his nemesis in Hollywood. Who is it, Mr.? Oh, goodness.
- 14:38Speaker 2: This is the person who kept beating him for roles,
- 14:40Speaker 2: and it's none other than Tom Cruise. So Rob joked
- 14:43Speaker 2: that dastardly Tom Cruise was always my nemesis because Rob
- 14:48Speaker 2: Lowe tried out for Maverick in Top Gun. He also
- 14:50Speaker 2: tried for Jerry Maguire, only to watch both of those
- 14:53Speaker 2: roles go to Cruise. He also, this is Rob, he
- 14:58Speaker 2: also addressed another famous movie he missed out on, Ferris
- 15:01Speaker 2: Bueller's Day Off. But he said that one wasn't stolen
- 15:04Speaker 2: by a rival. And I sort of feel like this
- 15:06Speaker 2: is a little bit of a dig. He says director
- 15:09Speaker 2: John Hughes simply wasn't interested because Rob believes he may
- 15:13Speaker 2: have already been too famous for the role. And John
- 15:17Speaker 2: Hughes preferred turning unknown actors into students.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Matthew Broderick. It's a dig. Matthew Broderick.
- 15:23Speaker 2: I think we knew that name back then.
- 15:25Speaker 1: It's a dig. What this goes to show you, though,
- 15:27Speaker 1: is the goalposts always change. You think that if you
- 15:29Speaker 1: become famous, that's it. You're suddenly happy. No, you want
- 15:32Speaker 1: to be more famous. You think if you lose five pounds,
- 15:34Speaker 1: you're going to be really happy. No, you want to
- 15:36Speaker 1: lose six pounds. And so be really careful here. Don't
- 15:39Speaker 1: have external factors as your happiness barometer because they always change.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Rob Lowe. rich handsome successful he doesn't feel like he
- 15:47Speaker 1: had enough so they always we always want more so
- 15:51Speaker 1: never look for happiness through work through external things it
- 15:55Speaker 1: comes from inside okay we're going to take a quick
- 15:58Speaker 1: break and we will be right back welcome back to
- 16:02Speaker 1: the naughty but nice show i'm your host Rob Shooter
- 16:04Speaker 1: hey let's get to the polls last show we talked
- 16:08Speaker 1: about harry and megan were accused of wanting the best
- 16:10Speaker 1: of both worlds on their return to the UK. Will
- 16:13Speaker 1: they get it? Well, I think we know the answer
- 16:15Speaker 1: because the King put out a statement, but we did
- 16:17Speaker 1: not know that yesterday. Oh, 80% said no, not going
- 16:20Speaker 1: to happen. I agree with you, particularly after that statement
- 16:23Speaker 1: from the King. Don't forget to vote on today's poll.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Go to our X page, our Twitter page, our naughty
- 16:28Speaker 1: nice Rob, our Facebook page is Naughty Gossip. And be
- 16:33Speaker 1: sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results. And now...
- 16:38Speaker 1: It's time for our nicest of the day.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Well, our nicest of the day is George Clooney because
- 16:46Speaker 2: he still knows how to make an entrance. So he
- 16:49Speaker 2: left one woman positively giddy after arriving at an event
- 16:53Speaker 2: in France for a presidential dinner. He stopped to shake
- 16:57Speaker 2: her hand. He placed his hand warmly on her shoulder
- 17:00Speaker 2: and exchanged pleasantries, leaving her beaming. Now, he's been enjoying this.
- 17:05Speaker 2: A glamorous European kind of stint with his wife Amal.
- 17:10Speaker 2: They were at the Venice Film Festival. So, you know,
- 17:12Speaker 2: this has been three decades of George Clooney and he
- 17:16Speaker 2: still makes women go.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Some guys do. I saw him at the theater a
- 17:22Speaker 1: few months ago and I think I was like. But
- 17:24Speaker 1: he's also nice to his fans. He was so nice.
- 17:27Speaker 1: He stopped and he smiled and he talked. Be nice.
- 17:30Speaker 1: If somebody comes over to you and says, I love
- 17:32Speaker 1: your work, the answer is thank you very much. It's
- 17:34Speaker 1: not that hard.
- 17:35Speaker 2: That's all you've got to do.
- 17:36Speaker 1: All you've got to do. And now our naughtiest of
- 17:37Speaker 1: the day, naughty, naughty, naughty, Andrew Garfield's our naughtiest of
- 17:39Speaker 1: the day for telling Billy Ayers to be scared S-less.
- 17:43Speaker 1: So he has a new movie coming out, The Uprising,
- 17:46Speaker 1: and he hoped the historical drama inspired by True events
- 17:50Speaker 1: would make millionaires and billionaires actually a little bit nervous.
- 17:54Speaker 1: The problem he has is that he's a very rich
- 17:57Speaker 1: Hollywood actor. So some people say there's a lot of
- 18:01Speaker 1: hypocrisy here. A multimillionaire. He has enormous wealth. Spider-Man. He's
- 18:06Speaker 1: done some massive, massive movies. He's made a ton of money.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Does this mean, Andrew, you should be scared of your
- 18:14Speaker 1: own movie too? Okay, let's end. With a moment of Rob,
- 18:17Speaker 1: you get a Rob, you get a Rob, you get
- 18:19Speaker 1: a Rob, you get a Rob. Nobody talks about how
- 18:22Speaker 1: scary it is to build a life that nobody in
- 18:25Speaker 1: your family has ever seen before. There's no map. There's
- 18:28Speaker 1: no blueprint. There's no footsteps to follow. No relative you
- 18:32Speaker 1: can call and ask, how do you do this? You're
- 18:34Speaker 1: building something totally from scratch. And that can feel terrifying
- 18:38Speaker 1: because it's unfamiliar. But you've got to keep going. Keep going.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Be in first. means you don't inherit proof that it
- 18:47Speaker 1: is possible. You become the proof. You are the proof
- 18:50Speaker 1: to other family members who might be younger than you
- 18:54Speaker 1: that you can do this. And one day, somebody in
- 18:57Speaker 1: your family will follow in your footsteps. I came from
- 19:03Speaker 1: a family of very limited opportunities. Working class, middle class,
- 19:07Speaker 1: couple in Birmingham, England, had five kids. I'm the youngest
- 19:10Speaker 1: of fives. There's nobody in my family that does anything
- 19:14Speaker 1: like what I do. They're all very happy, but they
- 19:16Speaker 1: have quite traditional jobs. Nurse, teacher, electrician, police force. I'm
- 19:20Speaker 1: the only one who's doing this. And at times it
- 19:22Speaker 1: can be really scary because there's nobody for me to call.
- 19:25Speaker 1: There's no map for me to follow. But I am
- 19:28Speaker 1: going to put a map down. for the next generation
- 19:31Speaker 1: to make it easier for them to realize you can
- 19:34Speaker 1: do whatever you want. Hey, that is it for today.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Thank you so much for joining the Naughty But Nice
- 19:43Speaker 1: with Rob and Miss D show. We're a production of
- 19:45Speaker 1: Elvis Duran and iHeartRadio. Don't forget, check out my sub stack.
- 19:48Speaker 1: If you love celebrity gossip, throughout the day, I give
- 19:51Speaker 1: you two, three very short little treats that fit like
- 19:54Speaker 1: a piece of candy. RobShooter.substack.com and also to my new novel.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Thank you for this. My new novel is not out
- 20:01Speaker 1: until December, but you can pre-order it now. It's called
- 20:03Speaker 1: Queen Elizabeth III. Intriguing title. It's set 15 years in
- 20:08Speaker 1: the future. We have a new monarch on the throne.
- 20:10Speaker 1: You're not going to believe who it is. If you
- 20:13Speaker 1: pre-order it now, it helps me. It really helps me
- 20:16Speaker 1: with the algorithm of Amazon. So if you are thinking
- 20:19Speaker 1: about buying it, I encourage you to do it today.
- 20:23Speaker 1: And remember, all together now, if you're going.
- 20:26Speaker 2: To be naughty, you gotta be nice.
