- 0:00Welcome to Performance Driven Living, the podcast where we question everything.
- 0:05We don't tip to around tough topics, we walk right into them, not to provoke, but to
- 0:11get closer to what's real.
- 0:13You might not agree with everything you hear, and that's okay.
- 0:17The show isn't about being right, it's about being real.
- 0:20These conversations are meant to stretch your thinking, challenge assumptions, and spark
- 0:25something deeper.
- 0:26The views shared are those of our guests and may not reflect those of the host or team.
- 0:32And while we dive deep into health, performance, and transformation, this is not medical advice.
- 0:38Talk to your doctor before making changes to your health or lifestyle.
- 0:42Take what lands, leave what doesn't, but whatever you do, don't stop questioning.
- 0:56We are here with an episode that I've been looking forward to here on Performance Driven
- 1:00Living because this guy put a social media post out there, and it's like there's a lot
- 1:05of people that we talk to on social media, that we follow on social media, and I'm going
- 1:09to say we follow them, and we never really know them, we don't get to know them, we're
- 1:13not personal with them, but it's like we follow people and we think we know them because
- 1:17of how much stuff that we absorb on there.
- 1:19And one day I just out of nowhere sent this guy an inbox message and was like, hey, just
- 1:23wanted to say hi, I don't know why I don't know you.
- 1:26We move in a lot of similar circles and know all the same people, why don't I know you?
- 1:30And it started a conversation that I love, and Dr. Austin Lake, I'm excited to have you
- 1:36here joining us today because many people wouldn't realize this, but this is the first time
- 1:40we've actually talked, is on this podcast, other than Instagram messages, back and forth.
- 1:46So I appreciate them honored to have you here.
- 1:48I tell you, I start every program and I read this because our production team puts together
- 1:53these bios on you that I'm supposed to introduce you with and nothing I can say would ever actually
- 1:58match the eloquence that they put together here.
- 2:00So I intentionally read them every time and it says today's guest is flipping the script
- 2:06on what it means to actually live an active, healthy life, especially for women navigating
- 2:11midlife.
- 2:12Dr. Austin Lake is a doctor of physical therapy, a functional medicine practitioner and the
- 2:17creator of the active life program.
- 2:20He's helped hundreds of women between the ages of 35 and 65 ditch the band-aid solutions,
- 2:25reclaim their energy and start living pain-free without relying on medication.
- 2:29His approach blends movement, science, functional medicine and real world practicality and it's
- 2:34not about hacks, it's about actual healing.
- 2:38Dr. Lake, welcome to the show.
- 2:40Wow, yeah, I couldn't have said it better myself.
- 2:44Your team is awesome.
- 2:45That's why I just read it.
- 2:46Yeah.
- 2:47That's great.
- 2:48I just gave up pretending.
- 2:50I just read it at this point.
- 2:51I'm like, I think this is great.
- 2:52I'll just go ahead and read it and see what's going on with it.
- 2:55Yeah, I appreciate the intro and I think part of the reason we haven't run across each
- 3:00other is that I haven't been doing the social media thing very long and I think my exposure
- 3:08and reach has just continued to increase.
- 3:12You're over year but mostly the last year has been the biggest exponential growth and
- 3:17you know, there's people say there's different reasons for in terms of strategy and social
- 3:22media marketing, whatever you want to call it but I really do bring it back to the fact
- 3:26that about two years ago I was just really actually more about two and a half.
- 3:32I was just doing some soul searching about all things that hadn't happened during COVID
- 3:36and I had a brick and mortar practice at that time where I was doing a functional medicine
- 3:41practice and seeing people in person and all that stuff.
- 3:43I went through all the COVID mess and I was in Colorado, don't tell anyone but never
- 3:48shut down, never close my doors, kind of just kept things going because they're pressuring
- 3:55a lot of people to shut down and to not see people and I was just like, look, if anyone
- 4:00needs to be seen, it's now.
- 4:01People need like real interaction, they need real help and I'm not going to close my doors
- 4:05and by the grace of God I never had any issues with that and I'm still kind of amazed
- 4:09by that because I was in Colorado but through all that just felt like I had seen enough
- 4:15of what we were doing working so well with people that I just felt this huge conviction
- 4:20to talk about it and talk about it in bigger platforms and bigger spaces and social media
- 4:27was like the first thing that obviously came my mind but I just asked God, I was like,
- 4:31God, I feel like this is a conviction you laid on my heart and I always told people
- 4:36like somebody needs to do something, like somebody needs to like say something and do something
- 4:40this is just madness and the conviction I kept getting was just like, well you do something
- 4:44like you say something, like you have, you know enough about this stuff to like make
- 4:48an impact so just do it you know and I felt that conviction but my prayer was like, okay
- 4:54God if I'm going to do this I want you to open the floodgates and bring people to me
- 4:59that need to hear this and you know it was literally that, like I'm not even joking
- 5:03that night I prayed that I had a post go viral and it was like on vitamin D3 and K2 and
- 5:09all this different stuff and and it was just kind of an eye opening experience of like wow
- 5:13like people don't know this stuff and people are hungry for it and I guess the rest you
- 5:18could say is history but yeah that's that's kind of I think why we have run into each other
- 5:21is that my you know online presence has just really increased a lot the last year and you know
- 5:27it's been fun but we're increasing a lot and just recently hitting a million Instagram followers
- 5:31I would say that that's a that's a pretty big increase yeah I mean so a year ago
- 5:35well I guess it was a year January I was like under 200,000 right so I wasn't you know nearly
- 5:40where I was now where I'm now but part of what sparked that was again I had a post where
- 5:46you know I just I explained how I lost a client that you know was current client that didn't like
- 5:51me sharing my faith online like she didn't know that I was really an active Christian like she
- 5:56she knew I was like religious or whatever is what she thought but I was saying some things that
- 6:00were just too radical for her and she wanted you know her money back and all this stuff and I
- 6:05just shared that I just shared like that experience and that's that was kind of another big push for
- 6:09me but I guess the the whole point of all this is just that for me it's been just kind of eye opening
- 6:15to see how people are hungry for for the truth and and they're hungry for authenticity right like
- 6:21they're hungry for people who have took the word out of my mouth yeah like they they were sick and
- 6:25tired of just like this mass media like just blanket statements and this is what you should
- 6:30believe and ram it down our throats all the time and people just want to have good conversations
- 6:33and talk to real people that are authentic about what they believe and that's all I've ever tried to
- 6:38do and and the cool thing is is you know we've had some we've helped you know a few thousand women
- 6:44changed their lives and like it's it's real stuff it's not like the social media stuff for me is
- 6:49I just share what I've learned and what I've done I've never considered myself to be like an
- 6:54influencer until I you know until I hit a million followers like I guess I can call myself that now
- 6:58but up until that point it was always just like this is what I've seen work and this is what I've
- 7:03this is what we're doing with real people and just trying to share those testimonies and stuff
- 7:06like that so yeah and I mean you literally took the word out of my mouth because I was waiting for
- 7:11you to complete your thought and I was going to tell you my prediction on why your social media has
- 7:15climbed the the rate that it has is authenticity and I think we are bombarded with messages and
- 7:22content all day long and I'm going to say this and it's the reason I had reached out to you
- 7:28months ago or whatever and it literally was a matter of there's no shortage of social media people
- 7:34out there trying to give advice the problem is is for the majority of them I don't believe they're
- 7:38trying to help me I believe they're trying to use that message to build their audience so that
- 7:43they have greater influence and and it's people realize that like that authenticity is evident
- 7:51yeah and if I think you're putting out stuff so that I follow you or you're putting out content
- 7:55so that that I'll give you your dopamine hit with your like in the comments like all of that
- 8:01stuff may be real it may be true but it's not authentic and it's not for my benefit and the
- 8:07content that you create I'm going to say is unapologetically authentic and and I mean that's
- 8:16genuinely yeah and I don't say that's from a place of trying to flatter you because if I
- 8:20thought I was just trying to flatter you I wouldn't have reached out to begin with if I didn't
- 8:23think you were authentic about it I mean you and I probably know most of the same people in the
- 8:27influencer space when it comes to health and wellness yeah and you know I can probably count on one
- 8:33hand how many of them I think are just 100% authentic people and not just trying to work to build
- 8:38their brand and I think there's a lot of people out there I'll tell you what like I was just texting
- 8:43a minute ago with Ben Azadi I'm sure you know Ben Azadi and you know one of the things I love
- 8:49about Ben is he's authentic yeah like he he tells the story about why and how he got into what he
- 8:56does and I mean you can practically hear him choke up crying on his audio book talking about his
- 9:00dad like and I'm like that's just not stuff you you create right and yet I know other people
- 9:06who 100% who I'd say 100% are nothing but building audiences right and I think that's
- 9:13that's obvious one of the things that and I want to get into some of the stuff that you do as
- 9:19as a functional medical practitioner and I will say this like I work in the marketing space mostly
- 9:25in the longevity space but also have a PhD in functional medicine so none of that's lost on me
- 9:31yeah um in fact I do it just for personal enrichment and interest so you know you practice and
- 9:37actually talk to people I just get a lineup of friends and family who ask me questions all day long
- 9:41yeah yeah yeah well I've got actually a a a fake sister of mine actually as breast cancer right
- 9:49now and we just got into this conversation because you know she calls she's like what do you think
- 9:53and I'm like I can give you everything I believe and I can give you all of this and I'm like but I
- 9:58also want to make sure that what I'm giving you is very digestible for you like let's start with
- 10:04the basics like ketogenic diet let's let's get into some fasting protocols and I'm like you know
- 10:09if anything like I want you to do a 72 hour fast and I'm like yeah but let me tell you I'm like
- 10:14here's what I want tell me when you start I will do it with you right that's awesome this is going
- 10:19to be a solidarity fast if you're gonna do 72 hours on a on a fast I'm gonna do it with you because
- 10:23that way you're not feeling like you're having to go through something like nope I'm in it with you
- 10:28like let's do it that's cool um and it but it's that kind of stuff right it's it's giving people good
- 10:33health advice and then I introduced her to nation winters I'm like I want I want you to talk to
- 10:39nation like this would be a good introduction for you I told her if you lean in I center a copy
- 10:43of metabolic freedom with menisadium like go do this like here's a list of people I want you to
- 10:48start following like learn that this is not me telling you this right because I don't want it
- 10:52to be me telling you I want you to learn from multiple different sources and hear opposing
- 10:58opinions on some of this stuff too right yeah but one of the things that stands out about you
- 11:06and I've often made this observation about this longevity space um and I recently I'm gonna
- 11:13sell out on something here I probably shouldn't know that's right I'll try to get him on the
- 11:16podcast too and then it's going to be evident um you know who Tim at the alberino is I don't think I
- 11:21do okay so he he held a conference I call it conspiracy camp okay but it's he's an incredible
- 11:28Christian man but he really goes into a lot of deep history of ancient origins and stuff like
- 11:33that so um and I attended the conference I'm like I really love his stuff yeah super super biblical
- 11:38based it is um but really cool stuff but anyways when I went there a lot of the conversation there
- 11:46was about this topic of AI it was about you know what does that mean and in biblical senses and
- 11:51what how does that play into end times and all this kind of stuff and I'm like all right like I
- 11:56filter a lot of the stuff and I know what I do and believe and um but then he starts talking about
- 12:02biohacking and I was like okay where's this going to go because my belief has been that in the biohacking
- 12:09longevity community I believe that the I'm I want to make sure that I make a difference between
- 12:16spirituality and evangelical religious belief yeah absolutely because I think too many yoga
- 12:23instructors are super spiritual but that's not what I'm talking about yeah very different but I
- 12:27believe this idea of spirituality has either gotten way too woo and people shut it down because
- 12:34it's too weird or the biohacking community has gone so scientific that they have ruled out anything
- 12:41about spirituality and religion that could possibly have any anything um and the conversation I was
- 12:48really looking forward to having with you today is that by what's impressed me with you and
- 12:53and what you do and the way you speak authentically has been your unapologetically a Christian
- 13:00and I share that faith um but you do so in such a functional way like you're approaching functional
- 13:08medicine and unapologetically Christian at the same time and when I listened to the the folks
- 13:15conspiracy camp talk about AI and all the stuff like it was it was as if biohackers themselves were
- 13:21absolute jokes because how dare you believe you're going to live forever and so on and it was very
- 13:26very pejorative and and they they literally started quoting from a bunch of you know these
- 13:32influencers in fact this one just said this this this and I'm like should I text that person and
- 13:37let him know what you're saying about him right now yeah okay you're dogging my friends like this
- 13:42is not okay yeah you know at the same time like I go to the biohack in conferences and they're
- 13:46making a joke out of Christianity a lot of times because you know everything is found in the world
- 13:51of science um you you balance that beautifully hmm and and and and I'm curious if you find yourself
- 14:00I recently saw you doing a podcast and and I want to say it was with was it with Breka that you
- 14:05did that possibly yeah but it was podcasting it was it was funny to me because you were having a
- 14:10conversation with a person who I don't normally associate with being a Christian or or
- 14:14probably a person yeah and I think it was Breka actually and and you were just flat out you
- 14:22and I'm like it's so authentic but can you speak to what that balance feels like because I think
- 14:27there is a tug of war between those those groups yeah and I think you and I will say me as well
- 14:34like I'm perfectly comfortable standing in the middle of those conversations like you're not like
- 14:38I've got a you know degrees in in functional medicine and also degrees in clinical psychology
- 14:44but I also have a master's degree in theology yeah I'm cool I don't have to stand in the middle of
- 14:47those worlds right yeah that's awesome um what do you what do you see because I think that's the
- 14:52authenticity that comes across yeah I don't know I mean I think it's uh it's it's it's kind of an
- 14:59easy answer in a way um I think my first you know I I use this word intentionally but my first fear
- 15:07is is um you know the opinion of my father in heaven like that that to me is yeah
- 15:14such as such a significant deal when you really believe uh who got is and who he is in our life
- 15:21and what he created us for um that that like is such a strong conviction that I that overpowers
- 15:32usually most of the time my opinion of what other people think of me um and so I the only reason
- 15:39I think the reason I'm not I think the reason I'm I try to be balanced with that that tension
- 15:45between those two worlds like you described is because I want to be effective in my um my work
- 15:51and in my mission um in my calling that God's put on my life and so I want to I want to approach it
- 15:55with love and and grace and all that um with each person and trying to reach people that um have
- 16:03never heard the gospel before but also be firm for those who um need to know like that it's a
- 16:08serious matter and that um that I believe it seriously like that I take it I take it very seriously
- 16:15and so I want people again that gets back to authenticity like if people believe that I am being
- 16:19authentic with my statements and with what I'm saying then I think it helps uh for them to then
- 16:26come to their own conclusion about maybe what I'm saying so like they might be taking more seriously
- 16:31like well he's he's been he's been pretty uh convicted about these areas of health and these
- 16:36this seems to be true and this seems to be well-founded in research and he has a strong conviction
- 16:40about it he he tries to live with himself with himself and with his family and he also talks about
- 16:45his faith in a very similar way too and so I think that helps to kind of bring people into the fold
- 16:50that don't know about the gospel and then also for people who are Christians who know about the
- 16:55gospel but don't live in this like biohacking or uh any kind of like world besides conventional
- 17:01medical system health um bring them into this other area of health that's like hey maybe
- 17:06maybe there's something here that I can learn too and actually grow in and improve my life through
- 17:10my health and so that's kind of how I I guess I think about it but um I don't know I think the
- 17:15Holy Spirit is is very um you know he gives us wisdom abundantly and if we ask for it and the ability
- 17:20to discern um and I think the times that we slip up it's because we're not we're not leaning into
- 17:25that like we're leaning into our own uh flesh or our own uh human constructs and and sometimes like
- 17:32the only answer is just the Holy Spirit is wise and he gives us wisdom when we ask for it so like
- 17:36there's probably a lot of that going on I think that's true a couple directions I want to go
- 17:41with the conversations but I want to layer them in here from the dovetail off of what you just
- 17:46said there's there's something you've mentioned and they're about people who are from the biohacking
- 17:51community and I'll use the word longevity because the word biohacking annoys me yeah
- 17:56I did too it's just well longevity tell longevity community right people who are in that space
- 18:02I think there is a necessity for them to hear the gospel message in an authentic way
- 18:09and I believe you're right that when when they hear it from a person with conviction who's living
- 18:14that life um it does legitimize it and I think that that's what it that's what it does when
- 18:21they're hearing it from a person who's clearly educated from a person who's clearly in their
- 18:25space and speaking their language right it legitimizes the fact that these things are not opposites
- 18:30in fact they can harmonize but I'm curious I'm gonna set you up for failure here um I'm curious
- 18:38about we can easily talk about the need for that science community to have faith except one of my
- 18:45biggest convictions as a believer has been that I think the church is embarrassing when it comes to
- 18:52wellness and and health yeah and I personally believe that the church ought to be the healthiest
- 18:58group of people on the planet and they ought to be the wealthiest people on the planet and they
- 19:01ought to be the people who are thriving and marriages are thriving in all the cells and yet
- 19:07you know I grew up in a in a Baptist church and you know the spiritual love language was potluck
- 19:15and and I mean that that's how you showed affection was a casual and right you know and it's
- 19:21an obese group of people who are in terrible health and living on 15 different medications that
- 19:26the doctor gave and and half of them fighting the poverty if I can't get off the couch so I can't
- 19:31get a better job and you know I'm gonna go serve at church more hours rather than go to college
- 19:36um or or you know that type of stuff and I mean I used to watch it in in a church I was a worship
- 19:42leader at my mega church up in Michigan when I went before I moved down to Florida and I used to
- 19:47watch it all the time and it was like people who would be in this volunteerism burnout and you know
- 19:55taking a bow and in the meanwhile I'm like your financial life is a wreck yeah like you can't even
- 20:01pay your bills but you're volunteering all these hours and it's like that's not God honoring
- 20:06right um but I feel that way about people in that community who aren't paying attention to their
- 20:11health either and it's a very unhealthy group of people by and large yeah not as not as much
- 20:18so down here in South Florida because we're all vain and shallow people by yeah we got to be outside
- 20:23in the sun all the time you know absolutely like no one wants to look bad in the swimsuit but
- 20:27the uh but how do you balance that because I think it's easy for us to talk about the the philanthropy
- 20:34of sharing the gospel with people in the science community but sharing the science with the gospel
- 20:39community um I think isn't received well all the time right like telekrysta and that's not
- 20:45God honoring and you probably just you know caused all kinds of waves yeah no yeah I think you know
- 20:51it's interesting I I've been trying to I've had this again conviction that I I want to kind of do
- 20:57this like church speaking circuit you know where I to any like the churches that will have me to go
- 21:03and into and I'm not a public speaker I've never been a I mean I I may be able to do it well I don't
- 21:08know I just never done it before but um I want to lean into that a little bit because I feel like
- 21:12the church is in such desperate need of yeah of just somebody pushing the envelope a little bit
- 21:17and and just posing uh some ideas that are a little bit counter Christian culture you know like
- 21:24when it comes to health and wellness and uh you know I I was asking some local churches that I
- 21:30have been a part of and I think they know me and they're I don't think they're fully know what I do
- 21:34but they're both kind of well you know like we have to maintain some level of democracy within
- 21:39the church and we don't want to ascribe to a particular you know idea when it comes to health and
- 21:44I was just like you know shaking my head just like what do you what do you mean like this there's
- 21:49like a way to be healthy right like that that's not a exactly like that's not a democratic or you know
- 21:55it just kind of baffled me a little bit and I think there a lot of pastors are so
- 22:00number one I think they themselves are are walking in a way that um is maybe
- 22:05convicting to like they don't want to talk about things that they are maybe doing right and so
- 22:10if if you are overweight or you don't fully understand the stuff where you are in a bunch of pills
- 22:14or whatever uh it may feel like hypocritical for you to to talk about it as as a leader of your
- 22:20congregation I don't know like that's just one thing that kind of comes my mind um but I don't
- 22:24think that's I don't think that's a good reason for us to do anything if anything that's a reason
- 22:28we need to talk about it is we need to help the body the Christian the Christ body to be healthier
- 22:33and we need to kind of be open to discussing things that we don't know and and grow in our understanding
- 22:39and uh you know I think the reason Christian's default to at least for my observation uh
- 22:46is I think we rely too much on the ecclesiastics mindset of like it's all meaningless you know
- 22:51it's all vain under the sun and I think it's unfortunate because that's a misunderstanding
- 22:56misrepresentation of like what life is you know like it's not that life is meaningless it's just
- 23:01that there are meaningless things that we can do um but the example I like to give and I gave it
- 23:06an umbreka um was you know like if you woke up early in the morning and you're you know I
- 23:12I picture it in Canaan Beach because we're in Canaan Beach and I was kind of thinking about those but
- 23:16um you know you're you're building a sandcastle you wake up really early in the morning and you're
- 23:20you're putting all this effort into building a sandcastle and you're sculpting it you're you're
- 23:24doing it with your child or you're you're having a lot of fun but there's also some hard time so
- 23:28like scoop the sand and build it out but then at the end of the day the tide comes in and it's
- 23:32going to wash it all away you know like that's that's like kind of what our life is in a way like
- 23:36we're putting all this effort into something and building something but at the end of it like it's
- 23:40all going to be wiped out and that's okay because it's not just about making that thing last forever
- 23:45it's about being intentional and and and building something and working hard and and and and
- 23:51honoring what God has given us and uh I think life is kind of that way like uh you know the the actual
- 23:57I think it's the Hebrew meaning of uh that word meaningless at least in the at least for my
- 24:02understanding the context of it is is hevel and that means it's more like a vapor it's like more
- 24:07of something that can't be grasped it's like more like a fog like you you see it and you can't
- 24:10really grasp it so like life is kind of that way like you see this something going in front of you
- 24:14but you can't really put your hands around it but it doesn't mean that it's not important right
- 24:19like obviously life is important and I think that's what Christians fail to do is you know we don't
- 24:23want to make an idol of their health like we don't want to be vain and like make it all about health
- 24:26but we also don't want to think it's it's meaningless and do nothing with it like there is this
- 24:30tension in between I think we have to kind of be mindful of I had somebody say something to me before
- 24:35about you're never satisfied you know you always want more you always want better you always
- 24:38want whatever and it's like I want my health optimized I want my business to be better optimized
- 24:43I want you know everything in my life that can be better I want it to be better and and it was
- 24:48just like well isn't there you know go to Paul's teaching about you know I learned to be content
- 24:52in all things like can can't you be content and I'm like yes like I'm not discontent just because
- 24:58I want to optimize things in my life and I said in fact if given the resources for instance my mind
- 25:05like I'm a smart guy I get that and I'm not apologetic about that right it's dishonoring not
- 25:11to use that gift to the gift giver right like if I've been given that gift and and the gift goes
- 25:19to if I've been given health then it is it is dishonoring to the giver of my health
- 25:25right to not care for it right well especially especially when you know like we don't have to
- 25:30suffer nearly as much as we do like I think I think what I think what I'm realizing is I think
- 25:36people only do enough just to keep their cup slightly full enough to just do the bare minimum right
- 25:44but like what about if you have a cup that's full or overflowing well you you then give out of
- 25:50that cup to other people like that's that's the idea right and so I was parents if we're just
- 25:55existing and we're not able to pour that out back on our children like our children are gonna
- 25:59have a rough upbringing right like they're not gonna do nearly as well as they could but if we
- 26:03like start filling up our cup and then we we have the ability to kind of keep replenishing it
- 26:07through our through good strategies good habits good all these things to help good health and all
- 26:12this stuff like then you could have poured out on other people like you got you got to keep keep
- 26:19keep passing the blessing to other people I think that's what we kind of failed to think about like
- 26:23we only think about our current existence and our current like level of just the bare minimum but
- 26:26like what about beyond that like there's so much more you can do with this once you you meet your own
- 26:31needs you know I'm gonna have to send you a copy of my most recent book launch called Radical Generosity
- 26:37and literally walk through you know the the physiological benefits of being generous and how being
- 26:45generous changes us and the more we're able to you know the more we give the more we give right
- 26:53like it it's a self perpetuating cycle that we that we create and I believe that and you know
- 26:59like going through the physiology of everything from oxytocin release and so on so forth like
- 27:04it literally is an antidepressant it is you know all of those things I mean so I mean there is
- 27:09this like for sure I can live on drugs or I can find ways to actually release serotonin and
- 27:14oxytocin and you know without having to do that you know artificially and even the artificial
- 27:19stuff starts to teach my body that it doesn't need to do it on its own and then I'd be
- 27:22kind of dependent because now I have no way of doing it but yeah I want I want to go I love
- 27:27that by the way and the idea that you know I believed we would share that belief that the church
- 27:31ought to be a healthier group of people because the idea that we do that you know that we take
- 27:36care of and we're good stewards of our health the same way we're called to be good stewards of our
- 27:41finances and I believe even when I think of like the parable of the talents right like right I think
- 27:48that's a hundred percent to anything we've been given that's not a financial lesson that is
- 27:53that is an every thing lesson you know to the person who's been given much much as expected and
- 27:58if I've been given health then I ought to be expected to care for that the same way I do anything
- 28:02else and to your point when I'm in better health and that can be mental spiritual psychological
- 28:07physiological biological whatever definition of health we want to use I'm in a position to be
- 28:13able to contribute to society in a much more impactful way right and I stole a phrase from Michael
- 28:21Fishman that I use all the time because it's just it's so important to me and it's this idea that
- 28:25impact is the currency of success and if I've reduced myself into into a list of symptoms my
- 28:33impact has been minimized you know I'll quote Bobby Kennedy and say you know we're looking at
- 28:39you know the man with an illness has one goal versus the healthy man has many so true that
- 28:45that when when I've diminished myself to that diagnosis you know all of a sudden my focus
- 28:50is not on everybody else my focus is on me yeah so true and I think that's become about me
- 28:58that's that and I think that's the the enemy of the deceiver right like it's to get us in that
- 29:04state to where we're only looking inward and we're not looking up or out you know we're just
- 29:09constantly looking in our own and it victimizes us it makes us ineffectual and you know granted
- 29:16you like you know you could you could God can use you in whatever state you're in you know like
- 29:21he's done that with millions and millions of people and why do we need to make him work that hard
- 29:25like if you don't have to like don't do that on purpose like don't put yourself in that position
- 29:30on purpose but yeah I just yeah I think there's such you know I did a video where I just asked
- 29:36AI like how would you destroy a family or how would you destroy you know and people have done
- 29:40this before too but like how would you just go about destroying a family a healthy family and
- 29:46it's like you know you do all these things that we're talking about like you you victimize them
- 29:49you get them distracted you get them on hooked on dopamine you get them isolated you know you
- 29:54you don't eat real food you don't have any real time with nature like you're not spending time
- 29:58in community and that's that's that's why I think this is where I get really passionate or you
- 30:06know like a like a just anger or whatever you want to call it but when you start seeing the
- 30:12tools that I think the enemy has used and and government and big pharma and always different
- 30:17industries in granted it's not that I think conventional doctors are trying to intentionally
- 30:23do things to people I think they're within a system that they've been trained in that they believe
- 30:27is the only and right way to do things but the people that are at at the top who are funneling
- 30:34this information down or you know funneling the the proceeds to encourage people to to do things
- 30:40poorly that's where I start to say like this is this is not by accident like what's happening to
- 30:46people like this like the fact that we're experiencing such high rates of infertility is that that's how
- 30:53that's how the devil wins like that's how evil wins is like not allowing for procreation not
- 30:58allowing for more of God's children to be born or the ones that are being born are dying early
- 31:03or the ones that are you know in their 30s 40s and 50s and 60s are living no life at all and
- 31:07having no impact right like that that to me is where I just get super motivated to like keep
- 31:14talking about this because that's that's what's at stake you know like that like life is really at
- 31:18stake whether you're living or not like you're living life abundantly as that stake and I just won't
- 31:24stand for that like I don't but that's why I say what you want but to me like that's my why with
- 31:30all this stuff it's like when we work with women in our program my program like it's it's I work
- 31:36with women primarily because if I can help the the mom be healthy the whole family and benefits from
- 31:42it like the whole the husband the father the children they they all benefit from mom who's like
- 31:48the pivot point the linchpin the linchpin of the success the how the health of the family now I'm a
- 31:53huge proponent of of a biblical model for the household where you know the responsibility lies in
- 32:00the shoulders of the father but also in very understanding of the practicality and the logistics
- 32:06of how a successful family is run via the mom and so that's right you know I love working with
- 32:12women specifically because like when they succeed the whole family starts to succeed and that's
- 32:17why I think women are said you know under such attack individually versus children I want to
- 32:23ask you because I'm curious what you'll answer to this and that is one of the one of the things
- 32:27that I've been spending a lot of time on and we we talked about science versus faith or spirituality
- 32:32and how there's a convergence of those two things and particularly and I'll say in a conversation
- 32:38I was saying I'm sure you know who Philip von Holtzendor failing is right Leila I don't know him but
- 32:43yeah yeah very cool guy loved to introduce you to him but he Philip and I had this whole conversation
- 32:49about quantum energy and frequency and bio fields and so on so forth and and at one point in my
- 32:56journey I would have laughed most of that stuff off as being a single woo yeah and and yet the more
- 33:03we have this conversation I remember having a conversation with him and he he gets into this whole
- 33:08thing about you know that which we emit is that which we attract right this idea that the the
- 33:13energy the goodness the whatever we want to say that we put off actually creates very measurable
- 33:18frequency right and frequency attracts frequency much like magnets um and and as we attract that
- 33:26frequency and and he's talking and I went well I just want to ask you this question because it very
- 33:30much to me sounds like the golden rule is more of a science lesson than a spiritual truth that you
- 33:35know do and others as you would have them do under you means that if I want kindness I need to
- 33:39project kindness and if I want chaos I need to project chaos right and all of the things that I
- 33:44from a frequency standpoint I am pushing into the world are exactly the things that I find
- 33:50no different than the person and I I use this you know we always say I found my keys oh they're
- 33:54always in the last place you look and it's like well they're in the last place you look because you
- 33:58quit looking right like once you found what you were looking for you stopped looking well people who
- 34:03seek out negativity find negativity well because they quit looking for the positivity because they found
- 34:09what they were looking for right like you self-fulfilled that prophecy in such a way but that
- 34:15that brings me I mean obviously from a from a woo stand point when we talk about energy and frequency
- 34:20and quantum science and all this other kind of stuff when you know not time to unpack all that today
- 34:24but it brings me to it to a to a large point and I'm moving in a direction here and that is
- 34:32ancient wisdom is now being discovered by science and it's making me laugh to be honest with you
- 34:38because so so many of the things that I'm seeing and in this frequency conversation you know I
- 34:44was having with somebody else who actually imprints energy in fabric if you're with intelligent
- 34:51threads super cool but they they're able to put frequency into fabric so that I actually when
- 34:58you put the shirt on your muscles relax because it's putting that type of frequency into you and I'm
- 35:02like well this is so woo and so weird and I love it now but you know it was this idea but I
- 35:08was reading an article recently about how different types of fabric even when they're woven together
- 35:14each of them already have a frequency that they admit and those two frequencies together collide
- 35:20and then they create chaos even in your physiology and I was like well that very much sounds like
- 35:25mosaic law that doesn't sound weird right right had another conversation with someone who's
- 35:32talking about you know healthy practices for for agriculture and the idea that you know trauma
- 35:39is stored at a cellular level well if you end up killing an animal that you're about to eat and
- 35:44the animal is killed in a traumatic fashion that cortisol rise the everything that happens in the
- 35:49animal prior to its death is stored in the cells of the meat that we then eat like right we're
- 35:55eating trauma infused meat and I'm like well that sounds very kosher that sounds very halal
- 36:02that I mean all of this we're we're finding out in a kind of a funny ingenious sort of way
- 36:10that this ancient wisdom like the idea of killing animals in a in a humane way prior to eating them
- 36:18was what they were commanded to do back then but now I look at it and I'm like well yeah but we've
- 36:22scientifically been able to connect that to cellular trauma that they would have had no words for
- 36:27right right just but they were instructed to do it nonetheless yeah absolutely but but they followed
- 36:32it they knew what they were doing and to this day you know orthodox Jews will follow that that exact
- 36:38same pattern because it's commanded even though we didn't know why it was commanded right like all
- 36:42of a sudden it's making sense because we're unpacking these things do you find yourself I'm going to
- 36:49say crashing into those types of things on the regular that that were science and and maybe ancient
- 36:56wisdom are crossing paths and I'm curious what examples you have of when you're like yeah I mean
- 37:02I'm finding this and then all of a sudden it's reminiscent of I know this because of you know
- 37:08religious teaching or whatever and then all of a sudden you find those things overlapping and you're
- 37:12like kind of I mean to me I find myself snickering to be honest with you I find myself
- 37:16kind of laughing like oh look I've got it right who imagined that yeah big surprise yeah no I mean
- 37:20I did a I did a post you know it's it's not that huge of a secret at all but you know with
- 37:26in Ezekiel with the perfect protein with you know the grains and the millet and you know the
- 37:32lentil bread recipe that was provided that was acting as a complete protein for you know people
- 37:38that time it was sustaining them and you know like we didn't know what a complete protein was until
- 37:43more recently but that was you know thousands of years ago that that was constructed to them and so
- 37:49it's just one of those it's another example of that whole thing and Leviticus is kind of
- 37:53chock full of those similar kind of ideas and it was you know I think it's always interesting if like
- 38:00you know God was protecting His people and trying to maintain cleanliness and the instructions
- 38:07that He was providing were are now well-founded in research right like with pork and certain types
- 38:12of you know bottom dwelling sea creatures and and all that kind of stuff where it's like they're
- 38:16filtering out these these foods and these bacteria and parasites that maybe you don't want to be
- 38:22consuming them if you don't want to have problems as as a as a tribe you know and I think the same
- 38:27is true for today and I think the the argument that I can hear in my head as for maybe someone who's
- 38:32listening to this or people that I can think of that I talk to it's just like okay yeah that's
- 38:38cool and great but like what about here now you know like what about like today and like how can
- 38:42like I can't be I have kids like I have to take to soccer practice and have all these things going
- 38:45on like I got to be you know I got a lot going on and the best I can do is running through Chick-fil-A
- 38:50and all this stuff and and I think there's an argument there for sure but I think the whole point
- 38:54of what we're trying to say is just like there's an order that God has provided and I think we've
- 38:59gotten so far away from his order and his plan and this is part of the fall back in you know the
- 39:06garden of Eden but I think the danger that we're facing now the slippery slope is that when you do
- 39:13things that are considered to be restrictive like eating you know eating a whole food diet or
- 39:19eating an anti-inflammatory diet people like well that's gonna that's gonna like it's too restrictive
- 39:24it's gonna cause an eating disorder and you know it's just like it's it's whatever and I'm like
- 39:29like unfortunately our goalposts are are are are lying in the sand like we're so far away from it
- 39:35that we can't even like get a proper understanding of what practical good health even looks like and it
- 39:41becomes like this biohacking thing and the reality is it's just like this is what people have been
- 39:46doing for for centuries like eating this way living this way connecting with the earth you know
- 39:52like getting natural sunlight you know having exposure to cold having exposure to heat with
- 39:56heat shock proteins like eating a whole food diet you know not living off of you know preserved
- 40:01foods because you didn't have a refrigerator or you didn't have a can like you you had to eat
- 40:05these things pretty fresh and you're eating them in the seasons based on you know what would grow
- 40:10and what wouldn't grow and you know like all these things like that and like killing animals
- 40:14humanely and using them well because if you didn't it would spoil and you know you had to like
- 40:19maintain a herd and all this sort of stuff like these are these are things that had been around for
- 40:22so so long up until now up until the last 56 years and now we're like whoa whoa like that's
- 40:28like what's wrong with those number one and whoa like that's too restrictive and like that's too
- 40:32extreme and I'm like what we're doing now is so extreme like like like what we're doing now is like
- 40:37we've never done this before and like we're we're so surprised by all our circadian rhythm
- 40:42disruptions and heart attacks and cardiovascular disease and infertility and it's like we've gotten
- 40:47so far away from the biblical structure the biblical model that god laid out thousands of years ago
- 40:52and I don't know I just think I always try to make it so as as simple and easy for my clients as
- 40:58possible just to show them that kind of perspective because I think once you start seeing it from
- 41:02that perspective of picturing yourself living 150 years ago like what would you have to do
- 41:08it kind of makes it feel more practical in a way and also like we have a lot of resources around us
- 41:14that we can draw from it may take more effort sure like it's not going to be found at Walmart maybe
- 41:19or it's maybe you have to go a little bit greater lengths to get quality food but it's still out there
- 41:24and you know it does cost more money sometimes to buy that kind of stuff but it's also a very
- 41:29expensive thing to go out and buy convenience foods all the time and go out to restaurants all the time
- 41:33and I don't know I just think like we've gotten so busy and we've as a result we've relied so
- 41:38much on convenience foods and that's that's like the biggest issue I see all the time it's just
- 41:44we got to get away from that kind of stuff I was reading something recently and it actually was
- 41:49in a conversation that I was having with Ben Azadi again and the and it was kind of funny because
- 41:55the whole conversation wrapped around this idea of fasting and you know at 48 hours into a fast
- 42:02people report just heightened levels of mental acuity and now of course we understand that is
- 42:07because the digestive system is able to actually relax and all that energy is able to be you know
- 42:12harnessed by other systems in the body including you know detox and so on so forth and I was like well
- 42:18it's really interesting that you say that because biblically we're told to fast and pray you know
- 42:22especially when we're seeking answers and I'm like well sure and I believe that and I believe
- 42:27that there is a spiritual element to it I'm like but maybe part of that is a well if you fast your
- 42:32brain is going to function better and you'll be able to figure out the answer like there's just
- 42:38some real science in there that we're neglecting the real science and the message and it's like
- 42:43it's not necessarily about a spiritual thing although it's that as well but there's clearly an
- 42:50application there otherwise I want to touch on one other topic when we've got some time here
- 42:55Austin and that is I'll do a shameless plug here and say that I've got a book that I've been
- 42:59working on submitting the book proposal over to Hay House had meetings with them and it's
- 43:05it's something that I absolutely love and I believe that it's going to you know would resonate
- 43:09with you as well as the book entitled co-creators and the entire message behind co-creators is that
- 43:17you know in the beginning was the word and the entire universe was spoken into existence
- 43:23and that the words that are spoken you know in the beginning of God himself was the creation
- 43:28and we have the power to speak words and the power of the tongue
- 43:36defines our reality yeah and it's it's not necessarily even the belief system that I believe
- 43:42that there's literal power in the words that we're speaking and and I believe this links very
- 43:46closely to people who labeled themselves with diagnoses yeah you know the I am diabetic mindset
- 43:53as opposed to you know I have high glucose levels or whatever like right how do we how do we
- 44:00make that determination where you know we're going to change that narrative but I genuinely
- 44:05believe that and again I hate to use the word manifesting because I think that's got loaded
- 44:09meaning for too many people but but we really do manifest our own realities with with the things
- 44:14that we say I mean I found myself recently you know colloquialism at this point you know people
- 44:21like oh my gosh I'm dead like or I'm dying to see you and these types of phrases have worked
- 44:25them with their ways into common language like I find myself not even wanting to use that type of
- 44:30language because I'm like I'm not telling myself I'm dead yeah like where our words are spoken
- 44:35with frequencies and these frequencies are actually telling ourselves how to behave you know if
- 44:41if I'm telling myself that I am diabetic they start beginning and you know they move in that way
- 44:46if I don't tell myself that they're my cells rather that you know we're dying you know that
- 44:52actually causes the literal frequency that those words emit from my own mouth cause my cells to
- 45:01inflame and you can watch it like you like for instance I'm sure you're even familiar with the work
- 45:05of dr. Emoto with speaking negativity or speaking positively into water and then freezing the water
- 45:11and seeing the patterns that are in the water you're familiar with his word yeah or or the idea you
- 45:17like do what's her name Ellen Langer and the work that Ellen Langer did about taking the the old
- 45:24men and put them in a hotel type environment but the entire hotel was actually it was retrofit like
- 45:33it would have looked when they were in their 20s the newspapers were all dated in the in the years
- 45:38that they were kids the TV programs were there there were zero mirrors allowed to be in the
- 45:46entire place so that they couldn't see themselves old and within literally seven days of them being
- 45:53in that you know environment their blood markers had changed wow and it was literally just
- 46:01because they were just brought back to when they were in their 20s wow so they interacted
- 46:06differently I mean guys that were on walkers and you know were walkers on the way in we're up
- 46:10walking around they did nothing medical that's awesome it's just the psychological study
- 46:16the power of their belief systems yeah and I believe wholeheartedly that we create these
- 46:23environments for ourselves with our health with our wealth with our relationships keep speaking
- 46:28doom over something and it's going to be terrible keep speaking you know curse over your
- 46:33children and your family I guarantee you it's going to be a train wreck like you're creating that
- 46:38reality and I mean one I'd love your input on something along those lines because I'd just love
- 46:44to hear your thoughts on that but I want you to kind of weave that into what you see in your practice
- 46:49because people who speak life to themselves live yeah and speak like no different than you
- 46:57sorry but you hear like doctors give the you know prognosis of life right and why are they so
- 47:02accurate right but you've got three months earlier and you see people die exactly 90 days later
- 47:08and you're like that's weird and yeah because they've been telling themselves that I'm on a clock
- 47:13right and the body behaves the body follows yeah yeah it becomes mine is proverbs 18 you know it's
- 47:20the tongue has the power of life and death and those who love it will eat its fruit right and so
- 47:26it's it's I think that's again biblical right like this is this is not I always tell people you know
- 47:32we use people try to like find like try to use science to find God or like see if he's real or
- 47:40if he exists and I always say like we just we use science to try to explain how God operates like
- 47:46that's that's how I use science because like I believe that God is a constant right and so
- 47:51he's sovereign omnipresent omnip powerful and all that omnipotent and you know so we're tapping
- 47:58into things that are already in existence and again the power of the mind the power of the tongue
- 48:04is just what's holding us back so often from from reaching that and so part of what I do with my
- 48:09clients is you know I always tell them like look you're you're a healthy person you're just getting
- 48:15healthier okay like I always try to get them to believe that because it's true like they're still
- 48:20breathing they're still they're still walking around yeah like they're they're here so you are
- 48:26first of all like you were I always tell them this I tell them this too like you're not broken okay like
- 48:30you're you're you may have things that are not operating as well as they need to or as well as
- 48:35like could but you're not broken like God God didn't make a mistake with you like you're there are
- 48:42genetic genetic components always come to play but more times than not that's that's the minority of
- 48:48people's issues like the majority is lifestyle like the things you do or don't do that efficiencies
- 48:54you have and you know so I'll tell them like look like you you blame things on your age because
- 49:00everyone's always saying like well I'm just getting older like this much and that kind of gets back
- 49:03to your hotel example like they they changed their thought about their age like they thought they were
- 49:07in their 20s and so they start functioning like they're younger but if you think like well I'm just
- 49:11getting older I guess this is what's supposed to happen you're going to be expecting bad things
- 49:16to happen to your body but if you understand like what I tell them is like you've been you've been
- 49:21in a state of deficiency for a longer period of time than you were when you're in your 20s
- 49:27and so now that you're 30 or 40 or 50 or 60 or 70 like you've been having the ongoing repercussions
- 49:33of those deficiencies or those systems that aren't operating at their full capacity but hey here's
- 49:38the good news if we start to restore those things and get you back in sync and get those deficiencies
- 49:43met those detox pathways functioning good circadian rhythm implemented like you will start to see changes
- 49:52it's it's it's not we still people us too this isn't to be offensive but it's you're not that
- 49:57special which is really good news like you are a human body that got us created to function a
- 50:03certain way and it has certain foundational requirements that need to be met if you're not
- 50:07meeting those it's like that's that's part of the problem once you start meeting those you start
- 50:12seeing that you're not that special and these things start to resolve and that's really good news
- 50:16like I was just talking to me today she had this terrible experience 10 years ago and didn't do
- 50:20things right she detox improperly didn't use the right binders and all this stuff and created a bunch
- 50:25of symptoms herk's responses and now she has this idea that she's just like this special case
- 50:30that can't be fixed and nobody can help her and I was just like look like that's this is that was
- 50:35the problem that you like this is the error that was made like you didn't do this correctly
- 50:39unfortunately and nobody was there to walk you through it but once you realize that you're not
- 50:44that special and your body was created very fearfully wonderfully made which is special
- 50:50then you can start to appreciate the fact that you have the ability to heal and you don't have to
- 50:55feel this way for your whole life and you know healing is not the same thing at least in my opinion
- 50:59as being healthy like people have this idea of doing in general healthy things compared to
- 51:06society which are societal standard for health is very low so they're saying like why
- 51:10eat pretty healthy compared to people around me you know I don't drink very often blah blah
- 51:14and I'm always like that's that's great like you're a healthy person like that's great but like if
- 51:18you want to heal from something and you want to continue to be healthy and go get beyond where
- 51:23you currently are like it does require some specific action and some specific steps to take and
- 51:30and when people kind of start believing that they start viewing themselves is like oh yeah like I'm
- 51:33I'm healthy like I just trying to get healthier I think there's a shift in their mindset that takes
- 51:39place and again I think you know I've always wondered like because my program is not that fancy like
- 51:46you know we've had a really high success with it but it's not like we're doing crazy things like
- 51:50it's all like I do it all from a computer right like I'm telling them what like I'm not injecting
- 51:53them with anything I'm not giving them any special procedures or medicines or anything like
- 51:58you know we have detox protocols we do have them do and meal plans they follow and all that stuff but
- 52:02but it's just all things that have already been built into their cells that we're tapping into
- 52:07and we're trying to harness that natural ability that God gave them and intelligence yeah it's like
- 52:13yeah it's an eight and I think once they start to see it they're like oh that wasn't very hard
- 52:18like that was actually pretty simple I've been dealing with this for 20 years and now it's gone
- 52:21in four weeks like you got to be kidding me and I'm like yeah I know like that's that's unfortunate
- 52:25but you know now go tell people about it like now that your cup is overflowing go share that
- 52:30with people that need to hear it because they're also suffering and you can prevent their suffering
- 52:34and it's like they it's like our you know our salvation testimony like at least not even close
- 52:38the same level of significance but when you have a true conviction about something you want to tell
- 52:42people about it like you want to prevent them from going through it and you want to help them to
- 52:46be saved and I don't know like that's that's what the health stuff is about for me it's it's
- 52:50tapping into what God has already built into us and giving thanks for all things good or bad
- 52:57but not not letting our tongues dictate you know our experience when God is not you know he's a good
- 53:05father like he he's not wanting us to suffer for no reason like he will use suffering for for his
- 53:12glory and for our benefit but more times not itself inflicted and I think that's that's what's
- 53:18hard to watch especially as the Christians sitting in a Christian church watching Christians
- 53:21who are doing this and asking for a miracle when I'm like look God every every time you're taking a
- 53:28breath it's a miracle like every time your skin cuts and heals it's a miracle every time your
- 53:32cells are being replaced every three to five days like that's a miracle like you're just you're
- 53:36just making it hard for that miracle to be realized but like the miracle is already there
- 53:41I've got and this you you remind me of something that is I every time I go to like think that I'm
- 53:46going to make a point you say it right before I get to this this whole idea of like I'm going
- 53:51in there and praying for the miracle and I think we all know that this the metaphor of the guy
- 53:55standing on the roof and you know oh God send somebody to heal me and a boat goes by and he's like
- 54:00all right take care every nice day like and then all of these options are coming and he's still
- 54:04sitting there praying for the miracle right and yeah God's like look I I sent you a dozen different
- 54:09ways that this could happen and you're just not paying attention right and I really do see that
- 54:15when you started the conversation you brought up the topic of wisdom and you know that that we
- 54:23need to be praying for wisdom that that's really what what is most important and I laugh because
- 54:28people who've known me a while I don't like when people pray for me and I know that's going to
- 54:32sound really weird theologically but yeah you know someone's just like I'll pray for you know
- 54:36what should I be praying for I'll be praying for you and it's like I get like kind of weird about
- 54:40I don't know what you're praying for me right like like I don't want somebody praying for me first
- 54:46of all if I don't know what it is you're praying for because I don't want you praying for something
- 54:50that I'm praying against like I'm not cool with that because I don't know God in the trick box
- 54:54but you know who's prayer is the answer yours or mine um yeah you know like it's good
- 54:59not that I think God's up there like running American Idol or something but it's right not
- 55:02which means many folks in my favor yeah but at the same time like I look at it in this this direction
- 55:09of I always tell people like if you're going to pray for me then pray for wisdom pray that God
- 55:15sends me wisdom that's what I want because I believe that the solutions already exist right I don't
- 55:20I don't believe that I need to be praying for miracles in most cases I need to be praying for
- 55:25the wisdom to understand how to use the tools that are already in front of me yeah that's so good
- 55:29I love that like I the answers exist and praying for a miracle in many cases um in my opinion it
- 55:39kind of kind of shortcuts like God gave you everything like acknowledge the gifts that he's
- 55:45already given before you ask for another one and if you if you've given me the gift of understanding
- 55:51my health then if I'm not implementing the things that I already understand how dare I ask you
- 55:58for something else well yeah I mean that's that's that's the you know I have kids you know like
- 56:03that's what I think about my children it's like they'll ask me for something I'm like no I want
- 56:06I want to like I want you to be better for this I don't want to just give you something like I could
- 56:11I could buy my kids most things but it's like I want them to learn so much more than just
- 56:16having that short-term experience from that thing and I think that's again if we're eternal creatures
- 56:23which I believe we are like that you know we're in this temporary body that we're we're being
- 56:28housed in our spirits being housed in but our spirit is going to live on forever right and so I
- 56:33don't think that our spirit gets wiped out in your race and we just start with this like you know
- 56:38new memories and have I think like all this is being built upon for a reason right and so
- 56:43this is going to carry over into eternal existence and I just think like again God and His sovereign
- 56:48power and knowledge and wisdom like I'm like I'm going to default to that God because I don't
- 56:52fully understand all this but I do know that this is not for for nothing like this is this matters
- 56:57here now and learning these lessons and growing in our faith and being sanctified like that's
- 57:03really what it is it's like sanctification right like we're not yet sanctified but we are being
- 57:08sanctified and with that in mind it just kind of gives me some some peace and just freedom just
- 57:14like okay God like whatever come come with me like I'm gonna I'm gonna keep using these gifts
- 57:19you've given me I'm gonna keep relying on my foundational understanding of who you are and
- 57:24and ask for wisdom and and and pray for for you to show me things that bring you more glory and
- 57:31and increase my faith like I think that's always a good thing and having that daily bread experience
- 57:36to where we're constantly being reminded of who God is is is good and like I think God uses
- 57:40many different things and methods and people to remind us of how powerful and how cool he is
- 57:47but beyond that like yeah we've been given everything we need like we you know we don't need
- 57:50anything else and I that's such a such I love that I I don't know if I I've heard that but not like
- 57:55you explained it really well so thanks for sharing that that was good good I'm glad I was able to
- 57:59benefit your life too yeah I mean you've been very beneficial this whole time not just that one
- 58:03thing but that was I like that particularly because I have a hard time articulating that sometimes
- 58:07I think that that is a good way to articulate that yeah I appreciate that and it genuinely is
- 58:13like that's been an ongoing thing with me for years like no give me wisdom like you know wisdom
- 58:17to understand how to do what it is that I already have been given the tools to do
- 58:21because I genuinely do like I told you before like the the idea of asking for more
- 58:26when I've already been given something yeah I think it's like I want to acknowledge and be
- 58:32grateful for the things I've been given and to to not multiply what I've been given to not take
- 58:38the knowledge I've been given and the the the health I've been given and the the connections the
- 58:42relationships the finances like all of the things that I've been given and not multiply them
- 58:48is disrespectful I think that that's ungrateful right to not want to expand that stuff and then use
- 58:55all of those resources albeit knowledge or wealth or anything else for kingdom purpose obviously yeah
- 59:01and I think we can do that and impact is the currency of success right yeah that's such a great
- 59:06reminder and I think again having a kingdom mindset where I think a lot of Christians have this
- 59:12like kind of like the rooftop example of somebody coming to rescue us off a rooftop whereas I don't
- 59:18know like as a child of God who's been given to minion over this world I don't know like it'd be
- 59:23kind of cool to expand God's kingdom and conquer and not just sit back and be passive with my life
- 59:29like I think our our mission is to extend the gospel to all four corners of the earth and
- 59:36it yeah I don't know like so many of us I think we we just miss that like aggressiveness with
- 59:42the gospel like we we settle for things that are just the bare minimum God's I have so much more for
- 59:48you and like and it's for it's for it's for his glory and in the whole thing but it's also for our
- 59:55enjoyment and our pleasure and our learning and our growth while we're kind of extending God's
- 1:00:00kingdom but yeah I don't know it's it's all it's really good stuff I mean it's the life of a
- 1:00:05Christian is awesome I think it's it's it's so cool and I think it's been so you know what's
- 1:00:12sort of looking for it just like neutered like it's been neutered to the point where like we're
- 1:00:17making docile men and we're we're creating like these women who are taking on more than they
- 1:00:24should handle and creating children that don't know what a biblical model even looks like or who
- 1:00:30God even is because they've never had it modeled for them and yeah gosh it's just like so much
- 1:00:34the stuff is just doesn't need to happen and in the United States of America you know we're could be
- 1:00:40a beacon on on the hill and I think we still are in a lot of ways thanks thanks to God and I think
- 1:00:46we could go so much further with this and I really I think with the whole
- 1:00:50maha thing and you know I've been a part of that I've been like the maha ball and all you know
- 1:00:54with these maha people and I don't even consider myself to be a maha person necessarily but
- 1:00:59I for me what I always rain into with the maha thing was just like I want to make I want to make
- 1:01:05I want to make Christianity great again I want to make you know God's people healthy and I want to
- 1:01:12God's rule and reign more pronounced than ever has been and yeah it's it's not just about America
- 1:01:19for me it's about it's about God's people and extending that mission in the gospel too as many
- 1:01:23people as we can like that's really what my whole mission is well I appreciate what you're doing
- 1:01:28million followers on Instagram are now hearing on a regular basis that that message from you not
- 1:01:33just about health but about faith and I think the the the marriage between those two things is
- 1:01:39absolutely fantastic often I if I if I give you last words here and tell you like what do you think
- 1:01:45is the most game-changing advice you would give to anybody listening like what would be the and I
- 1:01:51know it's really hard to say the one thing right yeah what would you leave us with in terms of
- 1:01:58what matters most in this in this yeah I mean I think I'm obviously again this is the obvious answer
- 1:02:08and and probably people won't be surprised by this but you can you can have the best health all
- 1:02:13the money in the world this is something that really got me my kids my kids would always ask me like
- 1:02:20dad would you if would you give up you know the the house for this big house or would you
- 1:02:27give up the dog for for for whatever like they always kind of give these like extreme examples
- 1:02:32of like to make you give up to exchange for this and and it just got me thinking I was like
- 1:02:37because I think I think one of my kids asked me like what would you give up for me and I was like
- 1:02:40dude nothing like there is nothing I would give up for you and it just got me thinking like how
- 1:02:46many of us will sacrifice our our faith or our kids or our wife for like a little bit more money at work
- 1:02:55like not even all the money in the world but like 10 extra thousand dollars a year for your job
- 1:03:00and you have to work more time to get it or like you know like we we we make these like
- 1:03:03micro sacrifices that are we're like giving up our family we're giving up our faith for like
- 1:03:08these little little sacrifices here and there and I just I think if you can start with your foundation
- 1:03:15that is deeply rooted in the truth of the gospel like that Jesus died for you that like he loves you
- 1:03:20that he wants to have a relationship with you and he's real and he's he is who he says he is
- 1:03:28who's the God of the universe like that that to me is so profound because everything from that
- 1:03:34stems like comes life right like your your health your finances all these things that you're
- 1:03:39you're talking about and you you can attest to that you've lived by the grace of God like
- 1:03:44that's what all stems from from that and the cool thing about that is that it's not even a prosperity
- 1:03:48gospel it's not like do this and get this it's more of just like there's blessing to be
- 1:03:53experience for those who are in Christ and if you're not in Christ all the other stuff that you
- 1:03:59could get that are blessings are not even close to a real blessing so that that would be my thing
- 1:04:04to leave people with is just start with with your relationship with God get to know him deeply
- 1:04:09and and watch your life change and and ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom because he will give it
- 1:04:13abundantly that would be and it is it's a priorities thing and I always go back to one of your core
- 1:04:20values find the values because then if you're ever out of alignment with your own values you will
- 1:04:26fear this feel the symptom of that yeah yeah for sure and I think that's important Austin I can't
