- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities CE OS and even royalty Adam Cox, these
- 0:21recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's world
- 0:24famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Hi, it's Adam here and you're about to listen to a game
- 0:44metaphor hypnosis session to deal with a particular fantasy
- 0:51in many ways. There was a client that I was
- 0:53working with and they had a fling and they were still
- 0:57thinking about that fling and they didn't want a relationship
- 1:01with the person they had that fling with.
- 1:03But equally they didn't want to just kind of cut it and have
- 1:07nothing to do with them. They wanted that element of
- 1:09tension and excitement, and this hypnosis session really utilizes
- 1:16the metaphor of a game and a game where their attention is a
- 1:22way of them to harness the game. And the real thing is that they
- 1:28are winning the game. If they are making choices from
- 1:30an empowered place, and if they're thinking too much about
- 1:33the other person, then they lose the game.
- 1:36So it's about defining the parameters of the game to turn
- 1:39something that could be A cause of guilt or shame or regret or
- 1:44just anxiety into something more like a harmless fantasy that
- 1:49actually makes their life more exciting.
- 1:51Now, the key caveat, the key condition to this is that there
- 1:56is a boundary that they're not going to move beyond the idea of
- 2:00fantasy. It's not going to affect their
- 2:03real life. The fling was just a fling and
- 2:06it's nothing more than that. And as long as they respect that
- 2:08boundary, it remains this thing that they can decide to stop
- 2:13playing the game whenever they want.
- 2:14But if they choose to play the game, they're making the game
- 2:16work for them. And that might enrich their
- 2:19ability to do things that are good for themselves anyway.
- 2:22So take pride in their appearance, work out, you know,
- 2:27do things for themselves that they might not do if they didn't
- 2:29have this particular dynamic. So if you can relate to the idea
- 2:33of wanting excitement, drama, and turning into a little bit of
- 2:38a fun game that you play while respecting the other people in
- 2:43your life, then this could be an interesting hypnosis session for
- 2:47you. And if you like the idea of
- 2:49working with me, I actually have created a webinar.
- 2:52It's a free webinar that explains what I do, why hypnosis
- 2:55works. It's got suggestibility tests.
- 2:58So if you like the idea of finding more out about that,
- 3:01have a look in the the description and you'll see a
- 3:03link to sign up immediately for that webinar.
- 3:08At the end of the webinar there's actually 10 free
- 3:10hypnosis downloads worth £97.00 or about $130.00, so you'll get
- 3:14that free just by watching the webinar to the end.
- 3:17For now though, I'd encourage you to find a quiet, comfortable
- 3:21place where you won't be distracted or disturbed to relax
- 3:26and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in and as you
- 3:53breathe in, breathe in that wonderful feeling of calm and
- 3:59relaxation. And as you exhale, just allow
- 4:09any feelings of worry, stress, or tension.
- 4:20To just leave your body in your outward breath, breathing in
- 4:26relaxation, exhaling tension as you scan your body for any clues
- 4:33of any tension in your jaw, your neck or your shoulders.
- 4:40Position your body in such a way where ever increasing relaxation
- 4:47is inevitable. You can breathe in for deeper
- 4:54exhale for longer. Just allow each breath to take
- 5:00you deeper, relaxed than the last.
- 5:05That's it. And the deeper you breathe, the
- 5:10more relaxed you feel. And the more relaxed you feel,
- 5:17the deeper you breathe a flywheel of ever increasing
- 5:27feelings of resourceful relaxation.
- 5:40And just take an even deeper breath than before and just
- 5:46breathe in that quality of settled readiness, the calm of
- 5:55someone who has been here before and knows what they're doing.
- 6:03And I want you to embrace, acknowledge your competitive
- 6:12nature. The way you're wired has given
- 6:19you so much. It's influence your fitness,
- 6:25your career, your ability to learn, to impact, to acquire
- 6:34knowledge and make friendships. And there is a desire within
- 6:44you. Be aware of power dynamics, the
- 6:52ebbs and flows of communication, able to keep an upper hand, have
- 7:02the edge. This isn't something you have to
- 7:08learn. This is just part of who you
- 7:12are. And that's same intelligence
- 7:18that has served you so well in all of these different areas is
- 7:24present right now. But what if we can enhance it,
- 7:31take that competitive nature and dial it up to the next level,
- 7:39enable it to be sharpened, enhanced, and refined even
- 7:47further. And I wonder as you breathe in
- 7:55and breathe out, sinking deeper into that place of clarity,
- 8:00thoughtfulness, I want you to think of a memory, perhaps you
- 8:10in your early 20s, where you were clear on the rules of the
- 8:16game. It was fine to someone show you
- 8:22interest, but I want you to observe that version of you and
- 8:28just see how clear your boundaries were.
- 8:34Just because somebody wanted something didn't mean you had to
- 8:39say yes. If someone didn't meet your
- 8:47criteria, you would pay them no mind.
- 8:54And as you observe that younger version of you, seeing that when
- 9:00the rules of the game were clear, you were able to enjoy
- 9:08the harmless nature of fun, of drama, of attention hibbing and
- 9:16flowing. Because this game now is a game
- 9:23you've played before, not this exact version.
- 9:30The underlying structure is completely familiar, that
- 9:37dynamic where someone is putting in more effort than you, where
- 9:44the validation comes with a quality of the pursuit attached.
- 9:52Where the emotional upper hand is yours because you are the one
- 9:57who could walk away more easily. As you observe a version from
- 10:06your past, you know you play that game well.
- 10:12You knew the rules, you knew your position, and crucially,
- 10:19you knew that the game was the game, something you were playing
- 10:26for the stimulation it provided. And there were other women your
- 10:33age that were on the receiving end of a different game and they
- 10:39didn't know the rules. That wasn't you.
- 10:46Some games are being played whereas other people are being
- 10:52played, and what you are unconscious can see this is the
- 11:02same game dressed in adult clothes, a different
- 11:11environment, running on a different platform, but
- 11:16structurally very similar, and you can see what contributed to
- 11:25it. Secrecy, pressure,
- 11:33responsibility, time. There may have been something
- 11:42that opened a window of opportunity, but the ingredients
- 11:47were incubating before that time.
- 11:53And those similar dynamics, those familiar dynamics, are
- 11:59still there. Glances, messages, smiles.
- 12:08Proximity still present, still creating energy, tension and
- 12:19drama. This isn't mysterious, not
- 12:26uncontrollable. It's a pattern your competitive
- 12:31nervous system finds fascinating stimulating, and the moment you
- 12:41see it for what it is, something shifts in your relationship to
- 12:47it. You are the 1 running this game.
- 12:55You are not being played by the game, and you choose to play
- 13:02because it's fun and interesting for you.
- 13:08But here's the most important refinement.
- 13:13Since it's your game, you get to define the rules.
- 13:21So here's 1 upgrade. The game needs that one
- 13:26adjustment that converts it from something that occasionally runs
- 13:31you into something you run entirely.
- 13:41Because in the past you were careful never to let your score
- 13:49depend on the other person's moves.
- 13:55Every reaction had an equal and opposite reaction.
- 14:03Disinterest. You knew what you would do.
- 14:09Your mood did not hinge was not dependent on everything that
- 14:20someone else did. You knew you had options that
- 14:26were empowering for you. So right now I want you to think
- 14:36about how you enhance the rules now so that whether or not they
- 14:47do certain things does not affect your mood unless you want
- 14:56it to. the possibility of chance encounters, all of that you only
- 15:13decide to keep if it gives you more of that excitement, drama
- 15:24and intrigue. But the moment yourself worth
- 15:33starts being affected by what someone may or may not notice
- 15:40the amount of attention. A compliment or lack thereof
- 15:47isn't needed to play this game, so allow your unconscious to
- 15:53recalibrate this. Now.
- 15:58You are the game's master, you define the rules, and you can
- 16:05recalibrate with the precision of someone who knows exactly
- 16:09what the winning position looks like.
- 16:14Their presence is interesting, or it isn't.
- 16:22A message arriving or not arriving is just mildly
- 16:27entertaining, or it isn't, but it does not determine the
- 16:33quality of your day. What they do or don't do does
- 16:42not mean winning or losing. Winning or losing is entirely
- 16:48based on what you do. And every time you do something
- 16:55from a genuine position of fun, high self worth, improvement,
- 17:04and evolution, you're winning. And every time you choose to do
- 17:12something from a position of low self worth, let's define that
- 17:22losing. If it empowers you, you're
- 17:27winning. If you feel forced, coerced, if
- 17:36you feel that you have to react rather than respond, that's
- 17:43losing. And therefore this game, it
- 17:51becomes a game that you can always win.
- 17:57They give you attention, you're winning.
- 18:03You don't get attention, you're still winning.
- 18:08If you choose to feel good and do something that make you feel
- 18:14good, it's still winning. Their attention is a move in a
- 18:23game, but this is your game. When the attention arrives, you
- 18:30notice it, and when it doesn't, you notice that too, and you
- 18:37return to your game, which is always more interesting than
- 18:44whatever their moves are within it.
- 18:51There's a new way of thinking worth installing into this
- 18:55subconscious game, so let's install it cleanly and
- 19:02permanently. About what has been motivating
- 19:09additional gym sessions, enhancement to your living
- 19:14conditions, dressing well, improving yourself.
- 19:25Because this surface story, which isn't true by the way, has
- 19:31been. I want him to notice how well
- 19:36I'm doing. But that gives your power away
- 19:45if he goes unnoticed. You can feel like you're losing,
- 19:52but your unconscious can access the deeper truth.
- 19:57The gym sessions happened regardless of whether or not he
- 20:02noticed you acquiring new law, new knowledge, and new
- 20:08understandings. Shaking up new hobbies and
- 20:12improving yourself, all of that contributes to an elevated
- 20:22higher value version of yourself.
- 20:27So long as you are moving forward, that is winning.
- 20:39And the idea that you're addressing or presenting
- 20:44yourself for someone else, it was just a proxy for the real
- 20:48truth. You were doing it for you
- 20:54because if they noticed, you would feel good.
- 20:58So it was always for you. So why not embrace it being for
- 21:04you? It's a wonderful idea called the
- 21:12double bind. You may have heard the phrase
- 21:19heads I win, tails you lose. Whatever happens, you end up
- 21:25winning. If they notice, you win.
- 21:30And if they don't notice, but you improve yourself anyway, you
- 21:35win. Given that the underlying motive
- 21:40is to win, why not make the game so you can't possibly lose?
- 21:49They were just the excuse, the competitive part if you needed
- 21:52to upgrade the player in a game they didn't know they were
- 21:59playing. And all of these upgrades are
- 22:03yours now, permanently, highly independent of whether this
- 22:10particular game continues or fades.
- 22:18Everything you've done to show up better, you actually did for
- 22:22yourself. He may have been the spark, but
- 22:28you are the fire. The results are yours, but this
- 22:38game needs one rule to keep it fun.
- 22:43The reason this game is enjoyable rather than
- 22:46destructive is a single clear boundary, and your unconscious
- 22:53can hold this as a structural fact rather than a moral
- 22:57instruction. The drama is valuable precisely
- 23:06because it costs nothing real. The excitement exists because
- 23:13the stakes are low. The fantasy is pleasurable
- 23:19because it is fantasy. The moment any of the fantasy
- 23:26changes into true risks linked to reality, the moment low
- 23:34stakes become high stakes, the game stops being entertainment
- 23:43and becomes something else entirely.
- 23:48Not because of what anyone else would think, but because you are
- 23:54someone who knows the difference between a game that benefits you
- 24:01and a game that costs you. Why risk all these wonderful
- 24:08things that you've built? Relationship, career,
- 24:13reputation, life that's genuinely full?
- 24:22A wonderful way to think about a game.
- 24:27Why play the game if it's not worth winning?
- 24:35You are playing this game for fun and drama, stimulation and
- 24:42interest. You don't want anything more
- 24:46than that. You've already considered it and
- 24:50ruled it out, and therefore anything that can move it in
- 24:56that direction suddenly means it's a game you don't want to
- 25:03play. It's not a restriction, but the
- 25:10clearest possible expression of your own competitive
- 25:13intelligence. The player who knows when to
- 25:18stay in a game and when to cash out.
- 25:24A player who never lets the excitement of a hand make her
- 25:29forget what's actually at stake. The drama stays interesting
- 25:38because it stays in its lane. The boundary is not a cage.
- 25:44It's the rule that makes the game worth playing.
- 25:51Think of all of these games. You've been playing real games
- 25:57with real rules. If you break the rule, the game
- 26:06suddenly gets confusing and messy.
- 26:11The game only makes sense and the players stick to the rules
- 26:18of the game. So you are the player.
- 26:24You run the game. The game does not run you.
- 26:33Everything you've done to show up better you did for yourself.
- 26:42And the boundary that keeps this fun is knowing what you want and
- 26:51what you don't. While it's a fun fantasy that
- 26:58offers drama and intrigue, keep playing the game the moment it
- 27:06creeps into a different territory.
- 27:10Just like any other game, you can decide you don't want to
- 27:15play it anymore. And I want you to imagine what
- 27:22the next few days, weeks, or even months would be like.
- 27:29A game where you can't lose. You have that tension, that
- 27:39chemistry, that attention, that validation.
- 27:42That's winning. And anytime you choose to
- 27:46improve yourself, that's winning.
- 27:52The only way to lose is to give the power of how you feel away
- 28:02to the actions or inactions of someone else.
- 28:08So imagine what that looks like, that whatever happens, you're
- 28:14winning. And if your unconscious is happy
- 28:19to refine the rules of the game to make it work for you more
- 28:26than ever before, let me know by nodding your head.
- 28:32And with that in mind, it's time to return.
- 28:37Return to an intentional, positive, wonderful game of your
- 28:47choosing. Take a deep breath in through
- 28:49your nose, hand out through your nose, wiggle your fingers and
- 28:55wiggle your toes. Connect and calibrate into the
- 28:59here and the now as I count from 1:00 to 10:00.
- 29:02That's it. 123 waking up. 456 more alert. 7-8 That's it.
- 29:09Fully, fully wide awake. 910, wide awake.
- 29:13Wide awake. Wide awake.
