- 0:15Speaker 2: of the weather conditions, but now we get a chance
- 0:17Speaker 2: to chol together. Say, even if you're not driving home
- 0:19Speaker 2: and you took a day off work or work from
- 0:21Speaker 2: home today, at least I can be in your ear
- 0:23Speaker 2: for four hours. It's a privilege. Thank you for allowing
- 0:25Speaker 2: us to be there. When I say us, I'm talking
- 0:28Speaker 2: about the likes of Karen Anne, Kieran Cassidy, j Nicholson. Hello, Hey, Hello,
- 0:35Speaker 2: how is it I haven't spoken to you all day?
- 0:38Speaker 3: You've been busy? Oh?
- 0:40Speaker 4: Nothing, match? Everything is closed today. So I had a
- 0:42Speaker 4: relatively slow morning. Got to focus on myself and the
- 0:45Speaker 4: things that make me happy, like sleeping in.
- 0:48Speaker 2: What time did you sleep for today?
- 0:50Speaker 3: Six?
- 0:50Speaker 2: You stepped intil six? Nick? Now some people be wondering, like, oh,
- 0:54Speaker 2: my words, even until six. Oh no, no, no, that's sleeping in.
- 0:57Speaker 3: That's sleeping in.
- 0:58Speaker 2: I'm up at five, love? Did you read that book?
- 1:02Speaker 2: Five Am Club is it is that why? No, okay, no,
- 1:06Speaker 2: maybe you should if you're already a five AM person.
- 1:08Speaker 4: I've read it and I think the book is silly,
- 1:10Speaker 4: but that's five club really Yeah, well, I think the
- 1:13Speaker 4: whole book is in the premise.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Of the title five arm Club, assuming that tells you
- 1:17Speaker 2: everything you need to know. Literally, okay, like Lord of
- 1:19Speaker 2: the Rings, literally there's a ring more who needs three books?
- 1:25Speaker 3: Okay?
- 1:26Speaker 2: Wow, So you're saying that if you're gonna be an author,
- 1:29Speaker 2: make sure your title of your book is very trivial
- 1:31Speaker 2: so that people read it because they want to know
- 1:33Speaker 2: a bit more.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Draw me in, but don't tell me the plot, like the.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Alchemist, Like what is what's happening there? So okay, I
- 1:41Speaker 2: got you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, alchemist works. Yeah, very
- 1:44Speaker 2: very nice. I have a fact for you to drop
- 1:48Speaker 2: it in here. I think you need to hear this.
- 1:49Speaker 2: You know, people who think positively about getting older can
- 1:53Speaker 2: live around seven point five years longer than those who
- 1:56Speaker 2: dread aging. This goes for people turning fifty on the
- 1:59Speaker 2: fourth of you and on the fourteenth of June. Researchers
- 2:02Speaker 2: believe optimism about aging helps reduce stress and encourages healthy
- 2:06Speaker 2: habits basically complaining about your back every morning. I'm back.
- 2:09Speaker 2: I can feel the range coming quote of money. All
- 2:13Speaker 2: of those things. Leave that man, You're not aging, you're learning.
- 2:17Speaker 2: There we go seven and a half years longer. Wow,
- 2:20Speaker 2: because we just said that, look at us. Go all right,
- 2:23Speaker 2: Welcome to your show. Clicks is offering you a chance
- 2:26Speaker 2: to bro out with me a little bit today. It's
- 2:29Speaker 2: about bro scaping this week. I'll explain later and then
- 2:32Speaker 2: all the things that you need, including hopefully winning the
- 2:35Speaker 2: concept with the twelve thousand rand prize. It's after half
- 2:38Speaker 2: past or flash Wood and it's normal place and it's
- 2:40Speaker 2: danced aft to day. Welcome to your show, and I
- 2:43Speaker 2: just want to honor Beyonce very quickly. Thank you Beyonce
- 2:46Speaker 2: for allowing us to play your song on the show
- 2:49Speaker 2: and for turning the lights on. Thank you, Beyonce. Thank you,
- 2:52Speaker 2: Thank you, Beyonce, Thank you, love you. I just my
- 2:58Speaker 2: Brunomi is on your flash o K ninety four point five.

- 3:10Speaker 2: like I really appreciate it. You have no idea. It's
- 3:12Speaker 2: a we can't do this type of thing without you,
- 3:15Speaker 2: and that's why it's important to have you along for
- 3:17Speaker 2: the right till seven o'clock, and then we try to
- 3:18Speaker 2: pack the show with a bunch of different delights for you,
- 3:21Speaker 2: including winning a twelve thousand old mac Daddy stay at
- 3:25Speaker 2: the old schoolhouse for ten people, not a trip for two.
- 3:29Speaker 2: We go ten here. We don't do two. We don't
- 3:31Speaker 2: do half measures across the ball. That's what we try
- 3:35Speaker 2: to do in what we do? What else?
- 3:38Speaker 3: What do you mean? What else?
- 3:39Speaker 2: What else? Do we do?
- 3:41Speaker 3: What? Today?
- 3:42Speaker 2: Every day? Every day I pick it up here, come on,
- 3:44Speaker 2: o come.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Okay, So we've got birthday traffic, which is always fun.
- 3:49Speaker 3: We've got the.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Concept, thank you very much, Yes, exactly.
- 3:54Speaker 4: Okay, we've got the one up which is always really fun.
- 3:57Speaker 4: At the end of the show, of course, we've got
- 3:59Speaker 4: Clex Clixes is doing the things over there. There you are,
- 4:03Speaker 4: You're welcome.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Yes, lots of things.
- 4:06Speaker 4: We've got lots of news points and fun content across
- 4:09Speaker 4: the show, which you.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Should always look like.
- 4:10Speaker 2: I hate the word content, but continue.
- 4:16Speaker 4: I think you forgot about us for a second content anyway.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Conversation points, conversation points, and I can't read.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Going to Brian saying guys, I have the best content
- 4:27Speaker 2: for you. Everybody, listen up. I've got content come through.
- 4:30Speaker 3: What if someone says I'm feeling content.
- 4:32Speaker 2: That's better. That's the whole idea of the show.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Okay, okay, fine, the feeling of content, Well, we've got.
- 4:40Speaker 4: The show is jam packed, so you have loads to
- 4:42Speaker 4: look forward to.
- 4:43Speaker 2: If you want more things to look forward to, then
- 4:45Speaker 2: I can tell you about the conversation points, including something
- 4:49Speaker 2: about your identity document all right, something about being almost
- 4:55Speaker 2: expired and okay, you using big words. That's it.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Is that all you're gonna give.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Me, I'm gonna give you. I'm gonna I'll dish order
- 5:05Speaker 2: that content. No conversational tips. Conversation at a bar quarter
- 5:10Speaker 2: to four, So that's where we're gonna go. But the
- 5:12Speaker 2: main part of conversation is I want to pick up
- 5:14Speaker 2: from yesterday.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Okay.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I do believe that, my fellow gentlemen, we tend to
- 5:18Speaker 2: stray away from saying, hey I do my nails, Hey
- 5:21Speaker 2: I get a wax, Hey I get a massage. I
- 5:26Speaker 2: like to look after my skin. Oo. All right, So
- 5:30Speaker 2: this is why I want you to tell me, okay,
- 5:35Speaker 2: what type of items are you using for your next
- 5:37Speaker 2: bros Scape slash manscaping session. Don't be shy, gentlemen, snap
- 5:43Speaker 2: a screenshot of your cart and the clicks app fold
- 5:46Speaker 2: with your grooming essentials for men, and then what's that
- 5:48Speaker 2: clicks to zero two nine four five zero nine four zero.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I need a name, I need an ID number and
- 5:54Speaker 2: that screenshot and you could be a winner with clicks
- 5:56Speaker 2: Feel good pay less on KFM ninety four point five.
- 5:59Speaker 2: T's and c apply good luck. It's Maxarah Lockinwell be
- 6:04Speaker 2: my love. Thank you for being my love till seven
- 6:06Speaker 2: o'clock every single day on the flash drive on KFMLT
- 6:09Speaker 2: four point five. My name is Carl Wastey. This is
- 6:10Speaker 2: Cassidy J. Nicholson. While you were working, I was working
- 6:14Speaker 2: for you. So now no trivial hints, guesses and clues none.
- 6:18Speaker 2: That is what I've got for you. Some good stuff.
- 6:22Speaker 2: South Africans are buying almost expired groceries. Now we've known
- 6:26Speaker 2: about this for a long time, going to certain stores
- 6:28Speaker 2: they have like a waste section on the Sunday morning.
- 6:31Speaker 2: All right, there's a new South African platform called still Good.
- 6:34Speaker 2: It's helping shoppers save up to sixty five percent on
- 6:36Speaker 2: groceries by selling surplus and near expired products online. The
- 6:41Speaker 2: platform stocks everything from pantry items and toiletries to snacks
- 6:45Speaker 2: and household goods that are overstocked, short dated, or close
- 6:48Speaker 2: to their best before dates. There's a founder who says
- 6:51Speaker 2: the idea came after seeing just how much edible food
- 6:54Speaker 2: gets thrown away. And I've been waiting for something like
- 6:57Speaker 2: this to have a bit of tech behind it, like
- 6:58Speaker 2: an app, and it's got it that's called still Good.
- 7:01Speaker 2: And I'm glad because honestly, as a wasty I don't
- 7:03Speaker 2: like wasting. No.
- 7:04Speaker 3: I know that.
- 7:05Speaker 4: I also think it's really important that people know that
- 7:08Speaker 4: when something says sell buy, it doesn't mean it's expired.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Yes, right, you.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Can like the food is as you said, it's still edible,
- 7:17Speaker 4: sell by, used by.
- 7:18Speaker 3: It's all really important that we know. So I'm glad
- 7:20Speaker 3: they have this app.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Are there any items in your fridge that you take
- 7:25Speaker 2: to well beyond the best before date? M you're vegetables,
- 7:31Speaker 2: the vegetables, ou suppose, but I'm saying, like products that
- 7:34Speaker 2: actually have that date on it that you can see.
- 7:37Speaker 2: So I just want to see if this is only
- 7:38Speaker 2: me here, because the thing is, I think that yogurt
- 7:43Speaker 2: takes longer because it's basically got certain bacteria in it
- 7:46Speaker 2: already that is processing and creating its viscosity. So there's
- 7:51Speaker 2: good probotic values, and yogurt I tend to stretch further humus.
- 7:57Speaker 2: I smile it if it smiles liquor, I'm like exactly.
- 8:00Speaker 4: But also homos will tell you because if you open
- 8:03Speaker 4: it and goes that way.
- 8:06Speaker 2: I know that for every even the sources. Yeah, I
- 8:09Speaker 2: have a feeling. I mean I spoke about this the
- 8:11Speaker 2: other week about you know, Worcestershire, Yes, and how long
- 8:14Speaker 2: we've had that in the Fridgemen. And then we go
- 8:17Speaker 2: to our pantry items as well. But this is actually
- 8:19Speaker 2: it's very cool, and I think what it does do
- 8:22Speaker 2: is it really reduces waste. And if you offer certain
- 8:26Speaker 2: things that are still good and it's backed by a
- 8:28Speaker 2: food scientist that says chickier, I would say, maybe the
- 8:32Speaker 2: cheese is cool there, but I would say that's dangerous.
- 8:35Speaker 2: If it's backed in that way, then I'm happier with
- 8:38Speaker 2: it with food safety.
- 8:39Speaker 4: If you have an avocado, right and it's got like
- 8:43Speaker 4: a black circle cut it off.
- 8:45Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 8:46Speaker 4: If you'll find a lot of the time the avocado
- 8:48Speaker 4: is literally still.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Green if you just cut that small little layer. So
- 8:53Speaker 3: just saying.
- 8:55Speaker 2: But then again, I chow anything, even a pup banana,
- 9:00Speaker 2: I still think it's got some value to it.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Bad.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Well, I'll put in my oats. It's the oats, a lovely,
- 9:06Speaker 2: beautiful flavor and it's also quite softer, so you can
- 9:10Speaker 2: just mush it in. But that's just me because I
- 9:12Speaker 2: don't like wasting that.
- 9:13Speaker 3: I don't.
- 9:13Speaker 2: I don't like wasting at all. So thank you. Still good.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I'm going to check that out. I haven't downloaded that yet,
- 9:18Speaker 2: but it's a platform and it's there. Then here's a
- 9:21Speaker 2: big one for you. In terms of convenience, South Africa
- 9:23Speaker 2: is moving closer to a full digital ID system. It
- 9:26Speaker 2: could be as soon, which could allow people to store
- 9:28Speaker 2: documents like the ID birth certificate, marriage certificate to direct
- 9:32Speaker 2: the on their smartphones. The Department of Home Affairs has
- 9:34Speaker 2: published draft regulations for the new system, with public comment
- 9:38Speaker 2: now officially open, so go check it out have your say.
- 9:41Speaker 2: The proposed digital IDs would work alongside physical smart IDs,
- 9:45Speaker 2: but not replace them. It could eventually allow South Africans
- 9:49Speaker 2: to verify the identity remotely using facial recognition and some
- 9:52Speaker 2: biometrics too. So there's a little bit of a chip
- 9:55Speaker 2: with regard to edmin. Interesting, so that could be happening.
- 9:59Speaker 2: And then using big words. Turns out that sounding intelligent
- 10:06Speaker 2: and being intelligent are not always the same thing. I
- 10:09Speaker 2: feel like we knew this, but research has now backed it.
- 10:12Speaker 2: There's a company called big Think. They suggest people who
- 10:15Speaker 2: overuse complicated words are often perceived as trying too hard,
- 10:23Speaker 2: rather than sounding smart and well read and super literate.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Studies in psychology and communication have repeatedly found that clear,
- 10:32Speaker 2: simple language is usually seen as more confident, trustworthy, and
- 10:38Speaker 2: intelligent than overly complex wording.
- 10:41Speaker 3: I think it's.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Okay to have a big word in a simple sentence
- 10:44Speaker 4: every now and again, But if every single word you're
- 10:46Speaker 4: going to use is more than thirteen letters long, then
- 10:49Speaker 4: I couldn't agree more.
- 10:51Speaker 2: So, Yeah, I do believe. I think what's important for
- 10:55Speaker 2: communication is to be understood. I think you know when
- 11:00Speaker 2: your audience and that's how you can use your vocabulary
- 11:04Speaker 2: in all sorts of spaces. I know, in sometimes professional
- 11:07Speaker 2: settings people love dropping in a big word there because
- 11:10Speaker 2: then it gives people this assurance of credibility in terms
- 11:13Speaker 2: of information provision. I get it. But then there are
- 11:16Speaker 2: sometimes where you just want to be understood and you
- 11:19Speaker 2: just want to say this is how it goes. You
- 11:22Speaker 2: do this, this and that and you sorted. So I
- 11:24Speaker 2: think the aim of communication is to be understood by
- 11:27Speaker 2: somebody else. The aim of communication is not to be
- 11:30Speaker 2: egotistical enough to show somebody look how clever I am.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Listen to the words juxtapose.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Yeah, so there's white sauce in Alaza.
- 11:39Speaker 4: You're not Boshamoosha mahl ishamo as a farm in franch
- 11:45Speaker 4: liqu wife.
- 11:47Speaker 2: You know what washamul. By the way, there should be
- 11:50Speaker 2: a white sauce from Bohandall. It would call a bosham mal.
- 11:53Speaker 2: I just gave them a new product. Now look at you. Yeah,
- 11:56Speaker 2: and it could go well beyond inspired data, you see.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Because Carls always got to be the bish moment. But
- 12:03Speaker 3: I do like the big word, guy, I do, I do.
- 12:07Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 12:08Speaker 3: Carl loves a big world.
- 12:09Speaker 2: I do not like a big word. I would not
- 12:14Speaker 2: be for both like that.
- 12:15Speaker 3: You see. No, see what I'm saying. He has it
- 12:17Speaker 3: in his Arsenal.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Ha ha, this guy, Arsenal, You mean repertoire. What are
- 12:23Speaker 2: you talking about it?
- 12:24Speaker 3: Oh my goodness, no, not at all. Look at us
- 12:26Speaker 3: with this jargon.
- 12:27Speaker 2: This is not jargon. No, it's simply it's simply occupational
- 12:32Speaker 2: communication for effective message provision.
- 12:35Speaker 3: That's it.
- 12:35Speaker 2: It's nothing terrible. One last thing I'd like to share
- 12:39Speaker 2: with you. Yes, I'm the big word guy. Hello, I
- 12:44Speaker 2: just use a summer anyway. A growing number of restaurants
- 12:47Speaker 2: are pushing back against phone culture as part of the
- 12:50Speaker 2: new No Scroll movement. Now, some venues are now asking
- 12:53Speaker 2: guests to keep phones off the table and place them
- 12:58Speaker 2: in the pouches provided and avoid scrolling during meals all together.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Restaurant owners say screens or changing the entire energy of dining,
- 13:06Speaker 2: with many people spending more spending more time online than
- 13:09Speaker 2: actually talking to the person setting across from them or
- 13:11Speaker 2: the table that they came with anw The goal is
- 13:13Speaker 2: to bring back actual conversation and make dinner feel social again. Now,
- 13:17Speaker 2: while I understand it helps restaurants when you take a
- 13:19Speaker 2: beautiful picture of their meal and post it up and
- 13:21Speaker 2: say where you got it, because that does help restaurants
- 13:24Speaker 2: and eateries, and I would encourage that, especially in Cape Town,
- 13:27Speaker 2: where become so many of them. But I think just
- 13:30Speaker 2: the general scrolling, you know, while someone still, so you
- 13:32Speaker 2: finish your food first, I see this all the time
- 13:34Speaker 2: in restaurants, and then you go so then suddenly someone
- 13:37Speaker 2: finishes their food first, and then they go straight to
- 13:39Speaker 2: their phone while they wait for their partner to finish
- 13:42Speaker 2: the food. Oh and then like the argument there is
- 13:46Speaker 2: ah when I was just waiting, you know, just to
- 13:48Speaker 2: finish like naugh No, man, yeah, just enjoy the atmosphere,
- 13:52Speaker 2: you know.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Friend of mine, a friend of mine was in a
- 13:54Speaker 4: situation like that, and then he said, did you know
- 13:56Speaker 4: I was on a date with the back of a
- 13:57Speaker 4: girl's phone?
- 13:59Speaker 2: Really?
- 14:00Speaker 3: No, imagine.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Okay, not into you at all, buddy, Sorry about that,
- 14:04Speaker 2: but I just thought i'd share that because I think
- 14:06Speaker 2: it's quite important. I think more and more eteries should
- 14:09Speaker 2: should definitely do that, because it'd be so lovely to
- 14:11Speaker 2: have that conversation. I feel that sometimes we've lost our
- 14:15Speaker 2: ability to converse because we have such small comments on
- 14:21Speaker 2: posts that then condition the brain to say, I don't
- 14:25Speaker 2: need to say a lot here, I'm going to just
- 14:28Speaker 2: drop a comment as opposed to ask a question, respond,
- 14:32Speaker 2: listen to the person on the other end. That's important.
- 14:35Speaker 2: I think attention spans we've known for ages have been diminishing,
- 14:40Speaker 2: but I think it's time bring back the conversation.
- 14:43Speaker 4: Do you think, however, it might change if someone was
- 14:47Speaker 4: sitting on their own what like if they're on their
- 14:50Speaker 4: phone and they're sitting on their own.
- 14:52Speaker 3: I like eating.
- 14:53Speaker 2: I try to avoid the phone in the eating set
- 14:55Speaker 2: up altogether. I think that's quite important because then at
- 14:59Speaker 2: least you get to like digest the food and like
- 15:02Speaker 2: you get to reflect, because I feel like reflection doesn't
- 15:05Speaker 2: happen often because you're so quick to run to your phone,
- 15:08Speaker 2: and I think sometimes you need a chance to not
- 15:10Speaker 2: only digest physically but also meanted, Like, oh my word,
- 15:13Speaker 2: this person just put a beautiful besha mol yeah over
- 15:20Speaker 2: the food.
- 15:20Speaker 3: What a call back? You know what I'm saying.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Yeah, So that's I love that. I'm all for that.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I think it's important. I think there should be many
- 15:26Speaker 2: more spaces where a phone should be removed out of
- 15:29Speaker 2: the equation and that humans should connect with humans, have
- 15:32Speaker 2: a beautiful conversation, learn about somebody, learn about yourself, and
- 15:36Speaker 2: move on from there. That's what I found while you
- 15:38Speaker 2: are working today. Hopefully that gives you some food for
- 15:41Speaker 2: thought and our food for traffic. It's like I put
- 15:43Speaker 2: the Avengers of Songs together on that one Noah Kahaan
- 15:46Speaker 2: the Great Divide Timberland one Republic, Apologize Teddy Swarm's bad Dreams.
- 15:50Speaker 2: You are most welcome to your show flash Drive, kayf
- 15:54Speaker 2: in ninety four point five. So this is what happens
- 15:58Speaker 2: every single day. You know, we come in with a
- 16:01Speaker 2: and then we get knocked in the face by something
- 16:03Speaker 2: else that comes in our way. And that is when
- 16:05Speaker 2: I chatted to you about some of the stories earlier.
- 16:08Speaker 2: I said, hey, there is a lovely bit of research
- 16:12Speaker 2: and this is just around you using big wordsmen. So
- 16:16Speaker 2: now this team is like all over and then they
- 16:18Speaker 2: call me the big words guy. I'm not mure, but
- 16:23Speaker 2: I am. I'm not. I'm not going to hide my
- 16:24Speaker 2: vocab either.
- 16:25Speaker 4: I'm not gonna say your vocab just chatting about people
- 16:29Speaker 4: who use big words.
- 16:32Speaker 2: So I use them sometimes, but I like I do
- 16:35Speaker 2: like using them because I know the meaning and it
- 16:37Speaker 2: sounds good. And perhaps I've added them to my speech
- 16:41Speaker 2: repertoire in order to make myself understood and express myself
- 16:45Speaker 2: in a certain way. But this research from Big Things
- 16:47Speaker 2: says that people who over use complicated words do not
- 16:52Speaker 2: seem smart to people as you may expect. No, Actually,
- 16:56Speaker 2: when you keep it simple, people think wow. Because the
- 16:58Speaker 2: thing is I believe in tellen is when you can
- 17:00Speaker 2: explain something very complicated simply m I think that's what
- 17:05Speaker 2: intelligence is. That's how I used to study. I used
- 17:07Speaker 2: to learn a certain thing and I cannot break it
- 17:09Speaker 2: down and make it and then that's why I used
- 17:10Speaker 2: to use mind maps and and make it understandable. But yes,
- 17:14Speaker 2: as the team goes on, we go on what they
- 17:16Speaker 2: call a tangent, and now we spoke about, hey, some
- 17:19Speaker 2: of our favorite words. Yes, so please feel free to
- 17:23Speaker 2: share yours, because we're going to share ours before I
- 17:26Speaker 2: get there. The other day, I was listening to our
- 17:27Speaker 2: sister station Man because you know, I must show my
- 17:30Speaker 2: love to my boy on the other side, right on
- 17:33Speaker 2: Cape Talk, and Lester was talking about a new Afrikaans
- 17:40Speaker 2: word that's a bit cloaquial, but it's a very interesting word.
- 17:44Speaker 2: It's called mutzpak so much it is so cool and
- 17:48Speaker 2: it's a and and actually Lester spoke to the Afrikaans
- 17:50Speaker 2: Dictionary editor head off from Vaig, who said that the
- 17:53Speaker 2: word is to describe a feeling or state of being depressed, despondent,
- 17:58Speaker 2: or downhearted. It's perkakan. Now, I'm not going to divulge
- 18:02Speaker 2: the words that make up that word, not at all,
- 18:06Speaker 2: because there's something called the BCCs A. It's another couple
- 18:09Speaker 2: of big words if you don't like it to approach.
- 18:11Speaker 2: But I was just thinking, like, do you have a
- 18:13Speaker 2: favorite word, I mean, your vocab that you use every
- 18:15Speaker 2: day that you just think is such a nice word
- 18:18Speaker 2: to lean on, or maybe you use it as a
- 18:21Speaker 2: party trick. I would love to know what that word is,
- 18:25Speaker 2: So let's go for you, Okay, Cassidy J. Nicholson your word.
- 18:30Speaker 4: I'm a big fan of the word apathetic. I love
- 18:35Speaker 4: the fact, so, I mean, apathy in itself is too
- 18:38Speaker 4: you know, you're indifferent, right to just apathetic towards something,
- 18:43Speaker 4: But I love the fact that the word apathetic sounds apathetic,
- 18:48Speaker 4: so so yeah, whatever.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Maybe it's because apathetic sounds like you are apathetic, so
- 18:54Speaker 2: you know that's why it's And I know what you mean.
- 18:57Speaker 3: It's got that automative peer situation going on.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Which is one of my favorite words. On a matter peer. Yes.
- 19:03Speaker 2: I love that. The only way I remember that from
- 19:05Speaker 2: English in high school is like if you have a
- 19:07Speaker 2: puppy yes, yes on a matter peer. That's the only
- 19:11Speaker 2: way I remembered it because I used to study with
- 19:14Speaker 2: mind maps and pictures. That's I used to do my thing.
- 19:17Speaker 2: But there are so many beautiful words that do have yes.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Of course are gonna polarity. That got to me. Juxtaposition
- 19:26Speaker 2: behamal blueprints Okay, okay, blueprints are very private. Leave me alone.
- 19:32Speaker 2: That's very private. That's only for our show, menswer don't
- 19:35Speaker 2: do that, okay. But I you know what I love.
- 19:37Speaker 2: I love traversing colloquial slang and more formal words. I
- 19:45Speaker 2: enjoy that traversing, yes, going over those sections. Sorry, see
- 19:51Speaker 2: what I'm saying. I don't know what you're talking about. No,
- 19:53Speaker 2: I do not know. And I also even I even
- 19:57Speaker 2: love a word of Karen Anne users in the news,
- 20:00Speaker 2: which is I mean it's it's not like it's more
- 20:02Speaker 2: like an Afrikaans terminology like when it's really cold. Let
- 20:07Speaker 2: me go to it for a second. No, she's busy, sorry, man,
- 20:10Speaker 2: just a quick, a quick one if you're going to
- 20:13Speaker 2: tell me that it's a cold tomorrow and you about
- 20:14Speaker 2: to give the temper, just what do you say THISBEI
- 20:21Speaker 2: by a luck? Yes tomorrow.
- 20:27Speaker 5: I just love it.
- 20:28Speaker 2: No rescriptive, yes, but I mean that's that's what Afrikaans is.
- 20:31Speaker 2: And then there's so many English words too. But I
- 20:33Speaker 2: just I love when when someone can share a word
- 20:36Speaker 2: that they use quite often. Oh it all that? Do
- 20:38Speaker 2: you actually have one, Karen? And just a quick one?
- 20:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it's an Afrikaans word.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Oh but look here you can't swear on it. Okay, cool,
- 20:44Speaker 2: thank you.
- 20:46Speaker 3: My my hands. Afrikaans have wordlea?
- 20:52Speaker 2: Is that like when you you know, when you watch
- 20:54Speaker 2: like something gross, like when someone's eating, like like a
- 20:58Speaker 2: Fear Factor or one of those shows. Is in.
- 21:02Speaker 4: Because it sounds so descriptive, like you, I even struggle
- 21:06Speaker 4: to say the word because it sounds as if it's
- 21:09Speaker 4: not nice.
- 21:12Speaker 2: You should do that before. And then my other favorite, yes,
- 21:20Speaker 2: get more, yes, please more more more.
- 21:22Speaker 3: The fire has been extinguished because you can say it extinguished, extinguished?
- 21:30Speaker 2: Did you don't you have it there? One moment?

- 21:43Speaker 3: I'm sure you do.
- 21:44Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, I would never well, I
- 21:47Speaker 2: would now that because the thing is we mentioned it
- 21:49Speaker 2: so to be. It would be terrible for us to
- 21:52Speaker 2: I wonder if we have this. Oh I do, I want?
- 21:57Speaker 4: I don't know if this is it just going to
- 21:59Speaker 4: be so impropercy grete disposable disposal and not.
- 22:04Speaker 3: A squink extinguishing cares. Oh gosh, what.
- 22:16Speaker 5: Disposal and not a squink exquinguishing campfires.
- 22:22Speaker 2: You are not cruel though, I'm not at all. That's
- 22:26Speaker 2: just that's one of your this is it is moments
- 22:29Speaker 2: like that. Sorry, this year is in my eyes, but
- 22:30Speaker 2: it's moments like that to make you so memorable. No
- 22:34Speaker 2: longer will it be extinguished? Please extinguished squingished that is
- 22:39Speaker 2: the but you know, trust me, it happens. But yes,
- 22:42Speaker 2: I'm glad that's one of your favorite words. Not extinguished.
- 22:44Speaker 2: That's very very good. Uh, there there are so many
- 22:47Speaker 2: others I know that just people people love. It's just

- 23:04Speaker 2: If you want to drop in your favorite word English, cards, Usa, sutu, swanna, pet,
- 23:09Speaker 2: it doesn't matter. I'd like to know why use it
