- 2:35news, the future of the Somerville Theater is
- 2:38no longer in limbo. A team of employees and a
- 2:42loyal patron have purchased the Somerville Theater
- 2:45building at 55 Davis Square, ending months of
- 2:49speculation about the future of Greater Boston's
- 2:52oldest movie palace. The sale secures the theater,
- 2:56the upstairs crystal ballroom, and the corner
- 2:58cafe Mr. Creep. along with an extended 20 -year
- 3:02lease on the Capital Theatre in Arlington. New
- 3:06co -owner Ian Judge described this as a once
- 3:09-in -a -lifetime opportunity to save these theatres
- 3:12for future generations. The community support
- 3:16has been overwhelming, highlighting the importance
- 3:19of local engagement in preserving these cultural

- 5:41are banged up after Thursday's 30 -24 loss to

- 6:04the Red Sox are expected to shop Jaron Duran
- 6:07this off -season per Mass Live. He hit just 207,
- 6:12but kept an elite glove. In top news, advances
- 6:18in artificial intelligence have revealed a stream
- 6:21of new software vulnerabilities, which are likely
- 6:25to cause disruption similar to recent outages
- 6:27on global government websites, according to cybersecurity
- 6:31experts. Research from Von Check indicates that
- 6:35artificial intelligence has driven a doubling
- 6:37of digital flaws discovered year on year. Matthew
- 6:41Prince, the chief executive of Cloudflare, expressed
- 6:44concerns about severe vulnerabilities in critical
- 6:47software, predicting busy months ahead. The recent
- 6:51outages were linked to weaknesses in PHP, a programming
- 6:55language crucial for many internet functions,
- 6:58prompting operators to rush fixes. Experts believe
- 7:02that the increasing frequency of vulnerabilities
- 7:04will lead to more urgent responses in cybersecurity.
- 7:09In business news, JPMorgan Chase has made $5
- 7:14billion in startup investments in the first year
- 7:17of its United States Security and Resiliency
- 7:20Initiative, the company said Monday. This faster
- 7:24than expected pace indicates the bank is finding
- 7:27plentiful opportunities in emerging defense.
- 7:29manufacturing, and supply chain firms. JPMorgan's
- 7:34Co -President Doug Patno noted the program may
- 7:37expand beyond that initial dollar amount. Most
- 7:41investments remain undisclosed, but known stakes
- 7:44in defense -related startups Hadrian and Castilian
- 7:47exemplify the project's mission. Patno stated
- 7:51there are many really interesting companies working
- 7:54to solve critical supply chain issues, strengthening
- 7:57U .S. capabilities. The bank's investment strategy
- 8:01marks a departure from its traditional lending
- 8:03role. In crypto movement, Bitcoin is down 2 %
- 8:08over the weekend to $80 ,000. Ethereum is down
- 8:133 .5 % to about $2 ,000. And XRP is down 2 %
- 8:19to $1 .29. Moving on to a more local vibe. In

- 9:05Morning sent you by. And now, back to the show.
- 9:11Let's talk tech. Antimatter is not known for
- 9:15being easy to obtain, which is part of why these
- 9:17particles remain so cryptic. Recently, a team
- 9:21of physicists at Northwestern University managed
- 9:24to trap a single antimatter particle for months.
- 9:28Pooling it to temperatures near absolute zero,
- 9:31they could control its quantum states with great
- 9:34precision without touching it. This breakthrough,
- 9:37published in physical review letters, enhances
- 9:39our understanding of one of physics' great mysteries.
- 9:44Researchers aim to compare the magnetic properties
- 9:46of matter and antimatter particles, which could
- 9:49lead to 30 times more precise measurements. The
- 9:53experiment has not yet revealed unexpected differences.
- 9:57but improvements in detection could reshape scientific
- 10:00laws. And in entertainment news, Chris Pratt
- 10:07just dropped the biggest hint yet about the Terminal
- 10:10lists Season 3 and teased plans that go far beyond
- 10:14a single renewal. The actor revealed his long
- 10:17-term vision for the franchise and discussed
- 10:20potential spinoffs during a recent interview.
- 10:24Pratt hinted at a potential third season while
- 10:26discussing the show on Sirius M's Shade 45. He
- 10:30pointed to the wealth of material still available
- 10:33from author Jack Carr's book series. Pratt expressed
- 10:37deep commitment to the franchise beyond just
- 10:40a third season. He specifically expressed curiosity
- 10:44about the Hastings family and their ranch. All
- 10:47eight episodes of season two are now streaming
- 10:50on Prime Video. Well, all righty, folks, it's
- 10:54time for the quote of the day. And today... Our
- 10:58quote comes from the American author and motivational
- 11:01speaker, Napoleon Hill. And he said, Strength
- 11:06and growth come only through continuous effort
- 11:08and struggle, emphasizing the transformative
- 11:11power of perseverance and dedication in achieving
- 11:15progress and success. And that's a wrap for this
