This story began life as one of three very radical, very contemporary, very Glaswegian updates of classic tales by Edgar Allan Poe (who, as the introduction explains, had strong connections with Ayrshire, immediately across the water from me as I sit here on Arran), which I performed very successfully at the likes of the Edinburgh Fringe (5 star reviews!), London Horror Festival and Glasgow's Southside Fringe.
