- 0:00Speaker 1: Why do you want so concerned? You have a furrowed brow.
- 0:03Speaker 1: Turn that furrowed brow upside down. She was an American
- 0:09Speaker 1: girl raised on promises. Who fire real talk, yo. So
- 0:19Speaker 1: I don't know how we're gonna cover all that I
- 0:21Speaker 1: have to say in this episode. Plus have the genius
- 0:25Speaker 1: guests that we have, the one and only Sarah Chalk.
- 0:28Speaker 1: We have so much to cover. Season three begins right now. Yeah,
- 0:33Speaker 1: season three, Welcome, everybody, Welcome. Made three. We made it
- 0:37Speaker 1: to season three. This is going so fast. We're gonna
- 0:40Speaker 1: be done with this show too soon. I know my
- 0:43Speaker 1: heart needs to re up. Well, no, I heart's clearly
- 0:47Speaker 1: gonna re up to me. I don't know what my
- 0:49Speaker 1: fucking gift basket is, but I think it's pretty clear
- 0:51Speaker 1: they're gonna re up. But um but um but I mean,
- 0:56Speaker 1: you know, someone wrote me on my social media that like,
- 0:59Speaker 1: if you guys keep going at this rate, you'll be
- 1:01Speaker 1: done in this many weeks, and I was like, oh shit,
- 1:02Speaker 1: that's kind of fast. Well that's a great to think
- 1:05Speaker 1: about what we're gonna do when we're at a Scrubs episodes.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I think we could keep going with watching movies or
- 1:10Speaker 1: or or like pads of favorite TV shows or something.
- 1:14Speaker 1: I like that idea. That sounds great. I mean, what's
- 1:16Speaker 1: gonna happen, obviously, is eventually the world to reopen and
- 1:19Speaker 1: we'll be going back to doing what we do for
- 1:22Speaker 1: a living, acting and directing, and maybe we'll slow down
- 1:25Speaker 1: and do one a week instead of two week. I'm
- 1:27Speaker 1: just speculating. Listen, man, anything's possible. That's the beauty of
- 1:32Speaker 1: that's the beauty of this podcast. It's called Fake Doctors,
- 1:36Speaker 1: Real Friends. It's not necessarily called the Scrubs rewatch Show. Yeah,
- 1:41Speaker 1: that's just smart. That was smart. We could have called
- 1:43Speaker 1: it the Scrubs Rewatch Show and then it just would
- 1:44Speaker 1: have been that. Right. No, but that's not what this is.
- 1:47Speaker 1: This is a This is a tale of two fake
- 1:50Speaker 1: doctors who are actual friends, real friends. Yeah. So you know,
- 1:54Speaker 1: we could take this on to something else. Maybe we
- 1:57Speaker 1: watch other doctors shows. I'd preferably do I want to
- 2:00Speaker 1: do that. I do. No. I want to say since
- 2:02Speaker 1: we talk so much about movies, and I do think
- 2:05Speaker 1: that the listeners like the discussion of pop culture and
- 2:09Speaker 1: episodes of TV, we could literally go, Okay, this week,
- 2:12Speaker 1: we're doing back to the Future this week, we're doing
- 2:14Speaker 1: an episode of What's Happening, Like we could just I
- 2:17Speaker 1: think we could just like pick whether it's a TV
- 2:19Speaker 1: episode or a movie, and like that's the topic of
- 2:22Speaker 1: discussion that week. I would love I would love to
- 2:25Speaker 1: do the Back to the Future one. Now, could we
- 2:27Speaker 1: do that? No? Already did? We already did La Land.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Although I think when we switched to this mode, we'll
- 2:33Speaker 1: have to do a more in depth La La Land. Oh,
- 2:35Speaker 1: I can't go way deeper with my lad You know,
- 2:38Speaker 1: we turned a lot of people onto Lala Land. I
- 2:40Speaker 1: had a lot of people on my feeds being like,
- 2:42Speaker 1: you know, I never actually watched it, and I did,
- 2:44Speaker 1: thank you so much. I'm crying my eyes out. Really, yeah,
- 2:49Speaker 1: I would think that people would just be pissed off
- 2:51Speaker 1: at the end of La La Land. I don't necessarily
- 2:53Speaker 1: think people would be. I didn't think people would be
- 2:55Speaker 1: crying and stuff. I cried my eyes out at the
- 2:57Speaker 1: d laaand you didn't. We was sad you cried at
- 3:00Speaker 1: the end of La I'm a big sucker for love.
- 3:04Speaker 1: That cannot be if you strategically and do a good
- 3:08Speaker 1: job in your script of setting up two people. I'm
- 3:11Speaker 1: dying to be together, and then you throw at me
- 3:14Speaker 1: that they can't be together. I mean, even if like
- 3:16Speaker 1: we always we've not always we've used the example of
- 3:18Speaker 1: Whoopee being separated from her sister in color Purple, Oh
- 3:21Speaker 1: my gosh, or or or feel the dreams, the father
- 3:24Speaker 1: having the catch, but he's got to go back to
- 3:25Speaker 1: the field. Like you give me, you give me two
- 3:29Speaker 1: people that love each other and they can't be together.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I'm fucking done. I hear that out of Africa. Come on, buddy,
- 3:37Speaker 1: Bridges of Madison County. Come on home, buddy. When she
- 3:40Speaker 1: reaches for that handle and her hand is shaken, come o, buddy.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Spoilers WHI she's about to commit infidelity and she's about
- 3:48Speaker 1: to cheat on her husband. So come my own buddy.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Are you watching um Raised by Wolves Us? No? Is
- 3:56Speaker 1: that the Mowgli story of Tarzan? No, it's a jungle
- 4:02Speaker 1: book in Tarzan in one reverence. No, it's it's Ridley Scott, dude,
- 4:07Speaker 1: and it's sci fi. So I know you'll love it.
- 4:10Speaker 1: And it's really good. Joel, you must be watching this.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I freaking love it was there you go, I don't
- 4:15Speaker 1: want to it's cool. I think you really like it.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Donald because it's like sci fi, it's all the stuff. Really,
- 4:21Speaker 1: Scott's been exploring with the Alien franchise for the past
- 4:23Speaker 1: couple of years, and what I'm really interested it's like
- 4:26Speaker 1: the story of a mother and son. Mostly Ridley Scott's
- 4:29Speaker 1: son takes over the series after episode three, so really
- 4:32Speaker 1: Scott directs the first three episodes. Yeah is it, Jake?
- 4:36Speaker 1: I think so? Look it up. He's got a few songs.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I'm actually I'm actually represented by the Ridley Scott's Company
- 4:42Speaker 1: as a commercial director. And um, oh, a little bit
- 4:46Speaker 1: of trivia for you. When we cut my short film
- 4:48Speaker 1: that I made with Alicia Silverstone and Florence Pew, the
- 4:51Speaker 1: one that you all should go watch if you haven't
- 4:52Speaker 1: watched it called In the Time It Takes to Get There. Um,
- 4:56Speaker 1: that was in the whole edit suite where they cut
- 4:58Speaker 1: this show. So they like loaned us one of their
- 5:01Speaker 1: bays and for like a few days and we cut
- 5:03Speaker 1: our short in there, and I didn't know what it was.
- 5:05Speaker 1: It was like, oh, yeah, we're we're gearing up to
- 5:07Speaker 1: cut this epic series called Raised by Wolves, And I
- 5:10Speaker 1: was like, I don't know what that is. And now
- 5:11Speaker 1: I'm and now I'm watching it and it's so good.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I was like, oh shit, I was cutting on their avids.
- 5:17Speaker 1: So there you go. Donald, you'll love it. It's sci fi.
- 5:19Speaker 1: There's spaceships, there's androids. Oh that's the one where like
- 5:24Speaker 1: the Android is like got a bunch of kids and
- 5:26Speaker 1: it's yes, yes, yes, it's really good. Luke Scott oh yah, well,
- 5:31Speaker 1: Jake Scott's also a really amazing director. But Donald, you'll
- 5:34Speaker 1: love it. Um should we talk about Peloton? Did you
- 5:36Speaker 1: spend today? I did not spend to damn Gonna? I did.
- 5:40Speaker 1: You could probably tell by how sweaty I am. Are
- 5:43Speaker 1: you gonna try this woman? Leanne Haynesby, She's my favorite?
- 5:46Speaker 1: Right now, I'm telling you try Cody's. I did try Cody.
- 5:49Speaker 1: I did try Cody. Did you laugh your ass off?
- 5:52Speaker 1: He's funny, but he's a little he has I love
- 5:54Speaker 1: how you all have catchphrases. Cody. Cody has some catchphrases, right.
- 5:57Speaker 1: He says some shit that's like they're all trying to
- 6:00Speaker 1: find there. What you're talking about, willis what was coded? What? God?
- 6:04Speaker 1: He said one phrase over and again. But Liane's is
- 6:07Speaker 1: done and dusted because she's British and I didn't know
- 6:10Speaker 1: that was done and she goes, okay, okay, sit back down,
- 6:14Speaker 1: that section's over done and dusted, and I didn't. I
- 6:17Speaker 1: was like, did she make this shit up? And then
- 6:18Speaker 1: I asked Florence, It's like, is that like a British expression?
- 6:20Speaker 1: She's like, yeah, don and dusted. I never heard dunn
- 6:22Speaker 1: and dusted before Don dusted. Do you know what my
- 6:24Speaker 1: favorite British saying is bits and bobs? What is that?
- 6:29Speaker 1: Penis and balls? No bits and bobs? Like, just like
- 6:33Speaker 1: bits and bobs doesn't refer to penis and balls. Why
- 6:36Speaker 1: would it refer to penis and ball? I don't know.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Penis is willing forgot, for fuck's sake, just stop talking
- 6:42Speaker 1: about willis. Sorry anyway. Yeah, so I want to incorporate
- 6:48Speaker 1: I might even try it in this podcast the expression
- 6:51Speaker 1: don and dustted. Okay, dude, I'm getting skinny though, Dude.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I just want you to know I'm pushing myself. You're
- 6:59Speaker 1: looking good. I'm not gonna lie you're looking good, man.
- 7:01Speaker 1: I'm kind of wait. I'm gonna I'm gonna not not
- 7:03Speaker 1: ready to reveal my my abs yet because it's only
- 7:05Speaker 1: been a week, but I'm I'm going hardcore. I can't
- 7:08Speaker 1: wait for the Abberville as Health like everybody, and that's
- 7:13Speaker 1: my goal. Hey, speaking of cover of Men's Health, did
- 7:15Speaker 1: you see Ryan Reynolds on Twitter? What do you didn't
- 7:19Speaker 1: see that? Oh my god? Oh he's been blowing us
- 7:23Speaker 1: up all morning. He wants to come on the show.
- 7:25Speaker 1: He's like, go check Twitter right now now on your phone.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Not do you have Twitter on your phone? Yeah, he missed.
- 7:31Speaker 1: He missed his opportunity. Man, it's really we're not gonna
- 7:36Speaker 1: The funny thing is, what are you gonna we don't
- 7:38Speaker 1: have an episode, We just do it. He's gonna be
- 7:40Speaker 1: like our first, like episode. Yeah, he's gonna be our first,
- 7:43Speaker 1: just like shooting this ship with a on a very
- 7:45Speaker 1: special episode. Though doctor's real fra. He don't be funny
- 7:49Speaker 1: to get episode. It'll be funny to get up to
- 7:52Speaker 1: watch an episode he has nothing to do with. And
- 7:53Speaker 1: he's like, all right, Ryan, you're gonna wait it on
- 7:55Speaker 1: three zero two? Right? What do you think about this one? Er?
- 8:00Speaker 1: So wait? Hold up? He liked he Somebody obviously reached
- 8:04Speaker 1: out to him and was like, why did you diss
- 8:05Speaker 1: a fake doctor? No? No, I was very tactful when
- 8:07Speaker 1: I when I posted I made I made a joke
- 8:10Speaker 1: saying right today on the podcast, Ryan Reynolds asterisk down,
- 8:13Speaker 1: then put on the asterisk is a great actor we
- 8:15Speaker 1: talk about and um, people really reply to that. I'm
- 8:19Speaker 1: sure people. I know people were tagging and left and
- 8:22Speaker 1: right and uh. And then today he responded like I
- 8:25Speaker 1: want to be on this show. Like and then everyone
- 8:28Speaker 1: started weighing in and he was like and I was like,
- 8:30Speaker 1: we love you, Ryan, bring gin And He's like, I'll
- 8:33Speaker 1: bring what did you write you like, I'll bring empty
- 8:35Speaker 1: bottles and all the gin that's already in my body
- 8:37Speaker 1: or something. But like he's already. He's like he's, uh,
- 8:40Speaker 1: he's coming. He wants to come on the show. Okay,
- 8:43Speaker 1: that's why do you have that face on? Why do
- 8:45Speaker 1: you have that face on? It's like you're like pouting? Better?
- 8:48Speaker 1: Are you? Are you pouting? Oh? You me? Yeah, you
- 8:53Speaker 1: don't seem excited that Ryan wants to come on the
- 8:55Speaker 1: show of a sudden. No, I smoke that's sativa today,
- 8:57Speaker 1: So like you can't get high and come to work.
- 9:02Speaker 1: I'm not high. I just smoke that. I just said.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I smoked that said today. We are so opposite I'm
- 9:12Speaker 1: like I like did the peloton and chugged the Red Bull,
- 9:16Speaker 1: and Donald's like like fucking sitting pulling bong hits in
- 9:20Speaker 1: his living room. Come on, buddy, this is work. I
- 9:23Speaker 1: can't see these people. I can't do bong hits in
- 9:25Speaker 1: the living room. I got the kids in the living rooms,
- 9:27Speaker 1: all right, Well whatever in your garden, I got a
- 9:34Speaker 1: little escaped deck. Oh yeah, um, all right, Well everyone,
- 9:40Speaker 1: should we get into the show. A lot to talk about.
- 9:43Speaker 1: To bring in Sarah's Sarah here, Sarah's here, bring her in. See,
- 9:47Speaker 1: let's see everybody if she can figure out of her tech.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Oh jesus, she's on her iPad. That's always a bad sign.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Remember when Remember she had music playing one time? Yes,
- 9:57Speaker 1: but she could only hear it, right, we couldn't hear it? Yeah,
- 10:00Speaker 1: she always Let's see everybody, let's see listeners. If Sarah
- 10:03Speaker 1: Shawk can join a zoom call without issue? So far,
- 10:08Speaker 1: so far, so far, We've got We've got Sarah's iPad
- 10:13Speaker 1: is connecting to Uh that's soundproofing. Oh she doesn't know.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Oh she's got fancy soundproofing, probably because of Rick and
- 10:23Speaker 1: Morney or something. There she is what happened? Did I
- 10:29Speaker 1: do it for the work? You did? It seems are recording?
- 10:32Speaker 1: Are you recording? Oh boy, for real, these guys, you're
- 10:39Speaker 1: not even oh god, oh god, it's gonna be oh
- 10:42Speaker 1: my god situation already. And then and then what happened?
- 10:46Speaker 1: The dogs ate my other dog and my dad. This
- 10:51Speaker 1: was actually a dog's ate my homework situation. I so
- 10:54Speaker 1: prepared and I watched the episode and I couldn't find
- 10:58Speaker 1: my sheets, and I was like, fuck it twe o'clock
- 11:00Speaker 1: where I wears everything I wrote down? And so I
- 11:03Speaker 1: retraced my steps and look where I found it. The
- 11:05Speaker 1: wind had blown it in between the decks. And it's like,
- 11:08Speaker 1: oh my gosh, so so how much you care about
- 11:16Speaker 1: Sarah's holding up Sarah's holding up a paper that looks
- 11:18Speaker 1: like it's been through the washing machine. This is the most.
- 11:22Speaker 1: But I'm glad the audience is seeing this, because this
- 11:25Speaker 1: is what every single morning of we ever saw. Sarah
- 11:28Speaker 1: was like, you, guys, you're not going to believe this.
- 11:31Speaker 1: The note that I made of the show fell in
- 11:34Speaker 1: the gutter, and then just as I was reaching for it,
- 11:37Speaker 1: a raccoon picked it up and ran off with it.
- 11:41Speaker 1: And then I chased the racco going down that I
- 11:45Speaker 1: actually prepared, and that time code three point five two.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Kelso made a great face, Sarah, it looks like you
- 11:53Speaker 1: have a fancy sound booth, but is that a makeshift thing?
- 11:56Speaker 1: Because you do Rick and Wardy and other fun voiceover work.
- 11:59Speaker 1: So I can't remember if I told you guys this story,
- 12:02Speaker 1: but I um when I first the pandemic hit and
- 12:05Speaker 1: I was recording cartoons, and I was grabbing every duvet
- 12:08Speaker 1: and pillow on the bottom bunk bed and making like
- 12:10Speaker 1: a sound cocoon for as you know, good acoustics as
- 12:13Speaker 1: we could get. At that point, we were just kind
- 12:16Speaker 1: of doing pickups and it was fine. And then they
- 12:19Speaker 1: wanted better sound quality. So I took seven moving blankets
- 12:21Speaker 1: and duct taped them to my four year old's play
- 12:23Speaker 1: tent and I was like crawling there. And then so
- 12:27Speaker 1: then I I did like this deep dive into building
- 12:30Speaker 1: my own sound booth, and I learned more about like
- 12:32Speaker 1: green glue and clips and bass traps and like than
- 12:36Speaker 1: I could ever want to know. And so then finally
- 12:39Speaker 1: I decided to just order like a proper vocal booth
- 12:43Speaker 1: from Oregon and it was shipped up in a crate
- 12:45Speaker 1: and then we had to assemble it. So I like
- 12:48Speaker 1: the real deal. Wow, it's big, Sarah. I like that
- 12:52Speaker 1: you got it from Oregon. It's big, guys. Sarah has
- 12:57Speaker 1: like a legit professional audio. It's about time, though, Sarah,
- 13:01Speaker 1: because I feel like you do a lot of awesome
- 13:04Speaker 1: vo work. And I can understand that people were probably like,
- 13:07Speaker 1: all right, come on, Sarah, Well, especially since you guys
- 13:11Speaker 1: all know how technologically inclined I am. Yes, our listeners
- 13:16Speaker 1: have all heard and act he goes down before this one.
- 13:20Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm going to have I'm gonna have everything ready,
- 13:22Speaker 1: and I at the last minute, I was like, oh,
- 13:24Speaker 1: they prefer earbuds, not you know, headphones, And I thought
- 13:29Speaker 1: I was so organized, and then I went to go
- 13:30Speaker 1: grab my papers and I was saying, well, I'm so
- 13:34Speaker 1: glad you're here, Sarah, going to see you. We miss you.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I'm so glad you're here for this one, because um,
- 13:41Speaker 1: it's just an incredible Elliott episode and um we've been
- 13:45Speaker 1: talking so much and this isn't just to blow smoke.
- 13:47Speaker 1: And I know you probably don't listen to the podcast,
- 13:49Speaker 1: but we are not men of lip service. Let's keep
- 13:52Speaker 1: it on oh, I spent nine years. I know, I know,
- 13:55Speaker 1: if we know, you're not feel like no, but Sarah,
- 13:59Speaker 1: even though it's it, and this is coming from the
- 14:01Speaker 1: bottom of my heart. Donald and I are watching these episodes,
- 14:06Speaker 1: and almost every episode we're like, holy shit, I wasn't
- 14:10Speaker 1: paying enough attention to how good Sarah is in this show.
- 14:13Speaker 1: That is so nice and so um not true. I
- 14:16Speaker 1: find the beginning episodes very difficult for me to watch
- 14:19Speaker 1: because I'm so bad. I feel so much. As this
- 14:23Speaker 1: show went along, I feel like, great, I think you're
- 14:25Speaker 1: so funny Sarah, your comics. I think I was so
- 14:29Speaker 1: in my own bubble and trying to do a good
- 14:31Speaker 1: job my own thing. And of course I noticed occasionally
- 14:33Speaker 1: when I thought you were being funny or or or
- 14:35Speaker 1: your dramatic work was great. But now I'm just sitting
- 14:37Speaker 1: here twenty years later watching and Donald and I are
- 14:39Speaker 1: both like, holy shit, Sarah is funny as hell, and
- 14:44Speaker 1: of course you're dramatic stuff too, but but you're just
- 14:46Speaker 1: high hilarious well for their dramatic stuff. I've got my
- 14:49Speaker 1: Josh Raid and the iPod you know, play soundtrack. Remember
- 14:53Speaker 1: I used to go with my iPods and have my
- 14:54Speaker 1: crime playlist. I think that's a good to move for
- 14:56Speaker 1: a lot of people putting on the sad music winter.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Are you gonna say Donald and you find as hell? Girl?
- 15:02Speaker 1: Holy shit? Oh there it is there. It is talk.
- 15:09Speaker 1: We just watched the episode where you when you're naughty
- 15:11Speaker 1: nurse outfit making out with Donald and that got us
- 15:13Speaker 1: all riled up. Oh my god, I remember that day,
- 15:17Speaker 1: and it was like, you know, when you're on a
- 15:18Speaker 1: show and you are somebody's love interests from the beginning,
- 15:21Speaker 1: and you kind of meet and you're already kissing, But
- 15:23Speaker 1: it's so different from when like you become such good
- 15:25Speaker 1: friends with somebody and you're just buddies, and then all
- 15:27Speaker 1: of a sudden, it's like and now you will be
- 15:29Speaker 1: on all fours, crawling on top of them, and you'll
- 15:33Speaker 1: be wearing very little clothing. Right. Zach was like, Zach
- 15:36Speaker 1: kept asking me. He was like, wait a second, and
- 15:38Speaker 1: you didn't get like excited, And I was like, dude,
- 15:40Speaker 1: at this point, we were hanging out so much and
- 15:43Speaker 1: we were so tight as friends that it was like, Yo,
- 15:47Speaker 1: it's like I'm kissing my sister, dude, And then oh
- 15:51Speaker 1: my god. But when you look at the scene, it
- 15:53Speaker 1: looks really good, like we had good chemistry, you have
- 15:56Speaker 1: good chemistry. You're jealous. I'm not gonna lie. I can't
- 15:58Speaker 1: lie and tell you that and jealous I twenty years later,
- 16:02Speaker 1: I was like, get your fucking hands. I love it. Wait,
- 16:08Speaker 1: we never we never counted in Sarah. And since uh,
- 16:11Speaker 1: since you're you're our favorite Canadian. Ryan Reynolds is going
- 16:15Speaker 1: to be coming on the program, so he's gonna be
- 16:17Speaker 1: our second favorite Canadian. But since you're our first favorite Canadian,
- 16:21Speaker 1: I thought, wait, wait, wait, Tom Cavanaugh also Tom Kavanaugh
- 16:24Speaker 1: also okay, okay, I can't believe, are you? And then
- 16:30Speaker 1: we're gonna have Michael Jay Fox I hope. So that's
- 16:33Speaker 1: the top. He might just play Sarah. No, no, no,
- 16:36Speaker 1: if he's Sarah Michael J. Sarah, but I think Michael J.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Fox might briefly maybe just for the week, move Sarah down. No, no,
- 16:44Speaker 1: it would be Sarah Michael J. Fox, Okay, Tom Cavanaugh
- 16:49Speaker 1: and then Ryanka and when Ryan comes on, Donald and
- 16:53Speaker 1: Ryan I've done the exact saint that scene I just
- 16:56Speaker 1: did with Donald like on all fours, cryling on top
- 16:58Speaker 1: of him. Also I've done with Ryans So really that
- 17:01Speaker 1: could be discussed that or we have done it, you have,
- 17:05Speaker 1: I have, I have what what was that? I don't
- 17:07Speaker 1: know if you guys remember when we were I can't
- 17:08Speaker 1: remember Canadian porn? Sorry, did you do Canadian porn? You know?
- 17:12Speaker 1: It was? It was? It was. There's a lot of
- 17:14Speaker 1: here work here now. It didn't used to be that way.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Um so Ryan right, I don't know if you guys
- 17:21Speaker 1: remember we could get you know, Ryan and I. Ryan
- 17:24Speaker 1: and I were young. We had to take what Canadian
- 17:26Speaker 1: work we could get Canadian something you hear a lot about.
- 17:30Speaker 1: But okay, it's very tame, very They politely kiss each
- 17:36Speaker 1: other totally all right before we count in, Sarah tell
- 17:40Speaker 1: us the story you mounted Ryan Reynolds. So, I don't
- 17:42Speaker 1: know if you guys remember. I can't remember what season
- 17:44Speaker 1: it was on Scrubs, but I remember I was. I
- 17:46Speaker 1: was like, oh man, I gotta put on braun underwear
- 17:49Speaker 1: and for this movie. And there's pretty much my only
- 17:52Speaker 1: couple scenes in the movie, and one or two of
- 17:53Speaker 1: them were in like just pull brown underwear, like push
- 17:56Speaker 1: Ryan Realms on the bed, crawl on top of them,
- 17:58Speaker 1: much like the Donald scene. And so so I was
- 18:02Speaker 1: like trying to do I think I asked you, Zach,
- 18:04Speaker 1: you had that amazing delivery food service that was like
- 18:08Speaker 1: super healthy, and so I tried doing that and I
- 18:10Speaker 1: was like trying to be all healthy. What happened? And
- 18:14Speaker 1: what was the scene you mounted him? Was awkward? Was
- 18:17Speaker 1: there chemistry like there was between you and Donald in
- 18:19Speaker 1: your naughty outfit? Hells? Yeah? So I was, I was.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I think I got there to say. And my first
- 18:27Speaker 1: scene was that scene with Ryan. So it was kind
- 18:29Speaker 1: of like, Hi, nice to meet you again, kind of
- 18:31Speaker 1: because we'd known each other through friends when we were younger,
- 18:34Speaker 1: but I didn't know him well at all. And yeah,
- 18:37Speaker 1: that was literally the first scene as I like a
- 18:40Speaker 1: garter and heels and like this one movie is this?
- 18:43Speaker 1: How can watch this movie is? Let's say, I wanted
- 18:47Speaker 1: to quickly watch it this evening. Uh. It is directed
- 18:52Speaker 1: by Marcos Siega, starring Ryan Reynolds and Emily Mortimer. And
- 18:55Speaker 1: the name of it is coming to me. I'll count
- 18:58Speaker 1: us in. You guys will go to break. I'll think
- 19:00Speaker 1: about it all right, hold on and Sarah, you will
- 19:03Speaker 1: now count us in. Got girls an we only bestow
- 19:07Speaker 1: this un certain people French or English. By body, I
- 19:10Speaker 1: mean we're in Canba with French do French, French French? Thanks?
- 19:13Speaker 1: He said, world, you like, how would you about? Would
- 19:17Speaker 1: you prefer stories about show we made about a bunch
- 19:24Speaker 1: of nurses? Said, he's stories? So dado around here? Are
- 19:35Speaker 1: yadoo around here? Sarah? So what was the movie called?
- 19:44Speaker 1: Joel helped you out? Joel helped me out? Thank you Joel?
- 19:47Speaker 1: Chaos theory? Chaos theory? All right, everyone? This is this
- 19:52Speaker 1: is obviously before he like blew up and became like
- 19:57Speaker 1: the Ryan Reynolds that he is today. Was he already
- 19:59Speaker 1: ripped in stuff like that? Donald wants to know if
- 20:01Speaker 1: Donald wants to know if you had a chance to
- 20:03Speaker 1: see the abs live in person? Were they Doe and
- 20:06Speaker 1: was he where they listening? Where where they? Or was
- 20:09Speaker 1: he like ripped enough to be a character in magic? Mike?
- 20:13Speaker 1: I mean, I just he was ripped. I just remember
- 20:15Speaker 1: being ripped. I don't know the degrees of rippage that
- 20:17Speaker 1: you guys are referring to, but well, you know, Sarah,
- 20:20Speaker 1: you were, you were on top of them. I'm sure
- 20:22Speaker 1: you know they were. I feel bad that you were
- 20:24Speaker 1: coming from me being your love interest and then uh
- 20:26Speaker 1: and then going to Ryan Reynolds with his abs and
- 20:28Speaker 1: had to come back to Mike Joey physique. But anyway,
- 20:31Speaker 1: this episode, I really I have to say the first
- 20:33Speaker 1: shot of me, I instantly saw that I had a
- 20:36Speaker 1: little little fopa happening. I had a little bed and
- 20:40Speaker 1: that is one of my favorite shots in the episode.
- 20:42Speaker 1: I mean, when you're dancing, it fucking kills me. Okay,
- 20:45Speaker 1: I don't too far. We're going too fast. We're going
- 20:50Speaker 1: too fast. Let's just do the recap real quick so
- 20:53Speaker 1: we can get this out of the way. Recap. All right,
- 20:57Speaker 1: hold on, I don't have my phone, Dan, I need
- 20:59Speaker 1: you to time, no problem. And yes, I have been
- 21:02Speaker 1: listening to the podcast. I am behind, but I haven't
- 21:04Speaker 1: listening and I do nobody nobody else say I did
- 21:12Speaker 1: hear you ask Scarlett your hands about Ryan Reynolds aapp
- 21:14Speaker 1: so I know that that happens. Yes, okay, all right,
- 21:17Speaker 1: here we go. All right, you ready ready it's forty
- 21:19Speaker 1: seven seconds now, forty seven seconds? Ready go. Season three
- 21:24Speaker 1: begins with a pal Doctor Cox punches Doctor Kelso in
- 21:28Speaker 1: the nose. Things in the hospital seem to go back
- 21:31Speaker 1: to normal. Well, there are a few changes. J D
- 21:34Speaker 1: stopped using moose when when the progression of change doesn't
- 21:39Speaker 1: move fast enough. Some people take matters into their own
- 21:41Speaker 1: hands and try to help change with its pace. Unfortunately,
- 21:45Speaker 1: change is stubborn as fuck and moves at its own speed.
- 21:50Speaker 1: It's like it likes to take its time. Change is
- 21:54Speaker 1: so slow that things always seem to be the same. Okay,
- 22:00Speaker 1: changes so slow, things always seem to be the same.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Thirty nine seconds. Thank you Donald for that beautiful summation
- 22:06Speaker 1: of the themes. My first impression was what the hell
- 22:10Speaker 1: did I do during this hiatus? Because I have a belly,
- 22:15Speaker 1: my hair is too long, I seem a little fat
- 22:18Speaker 1: in my face, like I've been over indulging in alcohol. Um.
- 22:22Speaker 1: That was my first impression of myself. What did you guys,
- 22:25Speaker 1: thick when you first saw your season three selves? When
- 22:28Speaker 1: I first saw you, I was like, oh shit, this
- 22:30Speaker 1: is the season. Zach came back comfortable, like he cares.
- 22:35Speaker 1: He came back, but it's true he went away that
- 22:38Speaker 1: summer and sincerely was like, you know, hey, I'm the
- 22:41Speaker 1: star of a hit show and I'm gonna be on
- 22:42Speaker 1: Thursday nights and he ate some freaking ice cream. Like
- 22:47Speaker 1: you noticed, I looked a little chubby. I don't like that.
- 22:49Speaker 1: But see, see when you guys say that you don't
- 22:51Speaker 1: blow smoke and you yeah, I mean you, you mean it.
- 22:54Speaker 1: You can tell it like it is. No, we don't,
- 22:56Speaker 1: we don't, we don't. We don't mince words here. I
- 22:58Speaker 1: want him to be honest with you. I tell him,
- 23:00Speaker 1: and he looks a little Tubbins. Will you tell me
- 23:02Speaker 1: that all the time? Tubbins? I like it sounded like
- 23:10Speaker 1: it sounded like Mary Poppins with Tubbins for paper and
- 23:17Speaker 1: your own set of wings. What's up? You know what?
- 23:19Speaker 1: I remember? We were? We were, We were bona fied
- 23:20Speaker 1: hit at this point. Season two was our was our
- 23:22Speaker 1: was our biggest season ever. And I have to look
- 23:26Speaker 1: up when I did that hetus. I'm sure I may
- 23:28Speaker 1: have made a movie me he was Last Kiss or something.
- 23:29Speaker 1: I don't know, but I came back a little Tubbins. No,
- 23:33Speaker 1: I think it's garden I think at this time it's
- 23:35Speaker 1: Garden State. I think Garden State had come out. You're
- 23:37Speaker 1: right jumping timeline and no, it didn't come out. I
- 23:40Speaker 1: think I probably shot Gardens. That it had to be
- 23:44Speaker 1: this year that you shot Garden State, because the year
- 23:46Speaker 1: before you had just sold it and everything like that,
- 23:49Speaker 1: So this is the right, right right. The year before
- 23:52Speaker 1: I had done Shakespeare in the Park in New York,
- 23:55Speaker 1: and then I had set it up with Natalie, and
- 23:57Speaker 1: this would have been one year later, is what I
- 23:59Speaker 1: had probably made the movie. Sorry I'm bad with time
- 24:01Speaker 1: like that, but you're probably right. So anyway, I come back.
- 24:03Speaker 1: I remember that we were we all three of us,
- 24:05Speaker 1: were kind of like, the show is such a hit.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Are we gonna get a little pay raise? Because you
- 24:09Speaker 1: know that sometimes happens. After two years, we had heard
- 24:12Speaker 1: that the Willing Grace casts had all been given boxers.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Do you remember that This was like when the Porsche
- 24:16Speaker 1: boxer was a boxer. Yeah, just get just come out.
- 24:21Speaker 1: And they had given all four of the leads of
- 24:23Speaker 1: Will and Grace boxers. And we were like, oh shit,
- 24:26Speaker 1: we'll be gonna get what's going on? And we didn't
- 24:28Speaker 1: get anything. And then the first episode opened with you
- 24:32Speaker 1: Too the song, and I never turned to Donald being like,
- 24:35Speaker 1: I guess that's where our raised. Oh my god, that
- 24:42Speaker 1: you two song. I mean, just hearing it in this episode,
- 24:44Speaker 1: like does it bring you guys right back to the pilot.
- 24:46Speaker 1: I can't hear that song without it like being twenty
- 24:49Speaker 1: four again and shooting that pilot. Why did we play
- 24:52Speaker 1: the song a lot that was in the pilot was
- 24:55Speaker 1: in the pilot episode when Danald Joel am I correct, Yeah,
- 24:58Speaker 1: I think so. It wasn't when you walk in like
- 25:00Speaker 1: the song. I think in the pilot up it probably
- 25:03Speaker 1: is less unless it was that we tried to put
- 25:06Speaker 1: it in and then when we it was just in
- 25:08Speaker 1: the pre cut and when we aired, we didn't get
- 25:10Speaker 1: it till three years later, but I think we had
- 25:11Speaker 1: it in there, and I just remember that it was
- 25:13Speaker 1: very expensive, and I think we were told at the time,
- 25:16Speaker 1: like someone was like, you're not gonna believe how much
- 25:18Speaker 1: we spent on getting that you two song, and we
- 25:20Speaker 1: were all like, great, that sounds great, gonna be really
- 25:25Speaker 1: good because you know, because Bono needs a new house. Right,
- 25:28Speaker 1: Oh my god? Did did you guys? Was that the
- 25:32Speaker 1: year that you got your new car? Speaking of boxers,
- 25:35Speaker 1: it wasn't a Boxer, but when you went from your
- 25:36Speaker 1: ZDR Porsche and Bill put the license plate on, No,
- 25:40Speaker 1: I didn't go right to do I didn't get that
- 25:42Speaker 1: cocky I got I got a three fifty Z the
- 25:44Speaker 1: year that the three Nissan three fifty Z came out.
- 25:47Speaker 1: My father's fanciest sports car was a Nissan two eighties X,
- 25:51Speaker 1: and I thought it was the coolest car. It was
- 25:53Speaker 1: the first, one of the first cars where that would talk,
- 25:55Speaker 1: that is to say, like if you left your lights on,
- 25:57Speaker 1: it would be like your lights are on. And I
- 25:59Speaker 1: was like, holy shit, we have night Rider. We have
- 26:02Speaker 1: fucking night Rider. And I would talk to it. I
- 26:04Speaker 1: would talk to it. I would sit, my dad would
- 26:06Speaker 1: be inside obviously like I wouldn't have the keys, but
- 26:09Speaker 1: I would like open the door and like flip the
- 26:12Speaker 1: lights on it and I'd be like, hey kid, and
- 26:15Speaker 1: everything okay with the car, and it would be like
- 26:16Speaker 1: your lights her own, and I'm like, thank you, kid,
- 26:19Speaker 1: And I was just in heaven. So I always loved
- 26:21Speaker 1: Nissan sports cars. And then Nissan Kim came out with
- 26:24Speaker 1: a three fifty Z and I was so excited. And
- 26:27Speaker 1: I actually my car that I bought for five grand
- 26:29Speaker 1: when I moved to La my parents low me money,
- 26:31Speaker 1: was a Nissan two forty SX super used barely, you know,
- 26:37Speaker 1: I fixed it up so it was fine. And then
- 26:39Speaker 1: when I got to when I got scrubbed and there
- 26:41Speaker 1: was a bus boy who worked at the French Vietnamese
- 26:45Speaker 1: restaurant with me, and he barely spoke English. I don't
- 26:47Speaker 1: know any Spanish, but we were like best friends. And
- 26:50Speaker 1: he loved my Nissan two forty SX. And when I
- 26:54Speaker 1: got Scrubs and then I bought the Z, I gave
- 26:56Speaker 1: him the car for like a dollar because you have
- 26:59Speaker 1: to like do some money exchange or something, so he
- 27:02Speaker 1: like he got the car for a buck and it
- 27:04Speaker 1: was pretty cool moment. And so yes, my first fancy
- 27:07Speaker 1: car with scrubs was that I didn't get to portion
- 27:09Speaker 1: until I made a little more money. Hold on, I
- 27:11Speaker 1: remember what happened. You bought the Z and everybody clowned
- 27:15Speaker 1: you for buying one person one person clown, one personal
- 27:19Speaker 1: who is that? One person? You? You? Okay? You also,
- 27:26Speaker 1: but also Bill who put TV doc on your license
- 27:28Speaker 1: plate and then he didn't tell you that he was
- 27:30Speaker 1: doing that. I don't know if you've discussed this on
- 27:31Speaker 1: the podcast or maybe you want to cut this out
- 27:33Speaker 1: because it's too much. We don't cut. Don't cut. We
- 27:37Speaker 1: don't cut embarrassing things out, Sarah, Bill had the prop Department,
- 27:41Speaker 1: unbeknownst to me, put a California license plate on my
- 27:45Speaker 1: new car that said TV doc and I didn't know
- 27:49Speaker 1: about it or see it. And I was driving around
- 27:51Speaker 1: fucking la for how long? For how long? Probably like
- 27:55Speaker 1: like a week with a flashy sports car with TV doc?
- 27:57Speaker 1: I want to so embarrassed. That inspired me when I
- 28:01Speaker 1: was working on a show called Mad Love with Jason
- 28:04Speaker 1: Biggs and Tyler Labine and we were rapping the next
- 28:06Speaker 1: day and I thought what it would be a fun
- 28:07Speaker 1: thing to do for the cast, and Judy Grew was
- 28:11Speaker 1: on him. She was like, I can't do it to
- 28:12Speaker 1: Judy because she wouldn't have loved it. So I asked
- 28:17Speaker 1: the props department, who are always so amazing, like in
- 28:19Speaker 1: twenty four hours, I was like, can you get me
- 28:21Speaker 1: two license plates? And so they made me these license
- 28:24Speaker 1: plates and they TechEd them down to make them look old,
- 28:27Speaker 1: and I was like, what would be the douchiest things
- 28:28Speaker 1: that they could be driving around with? So for Biggs,
- 28:32Speaker 1: I did Biggs and the S was a dollar signum.
- 28:39Speaker 1: For Tyler Labine, I just did, like actin ACTI n
- 28:43Speaker 1: apostrophe at acting for my fellow. I've known Tyler since
- 28:47Speaker 1: we were sixteen. We were in a robin Hood takeoff
- 28:49Speaker 1: with Joshua Jackson, josh Jackson and Devin Sawa when we
- 28:52Speaker 1: were like fifteen. So all you Canadian kids stick together. Man,
- 28:56Speaker 1: there's a whole Canadian community up there. There's only like
- 28:59Speaker 1: fourteen of them. They all know each other. No, there's
- 29:01Speaker 1: no way more than that. Dude. I used to think
- 29:04Speaker 1: like you, Zach. I used to think like you. But no, no, no,
- 29:09Speaker 1: I learned when I did I did a French Canadian
- 29:12Speaker 1: film in Montreal, and I learned that there's a whole
- 29:16Speaker 1: community of French Canadian stars that watch French Canadian cinema
- 29:22Speaker 1: like they have their own star system. Because when I
- 29:24Speaker 1: did the movie, there's amazing actress I worked with. She
- 29:26Speaker 1: was like a big star in Montreal. And interestingly enough,
- 29:30Speaker 1: I said, oh, these movies must must transfer over to
- 29:34Speaker 1: France and they said no, they really, they rarely ever
- 29:36Speaker 1: become popular in France. It's like just this community. They
- 29:40Speaker 1: have their own like movie stars. So what was the movie?
- 29:43Speaker 1: I want to see it? It's called The High Cost
- 29:47Speaker 1: of Living. It's a super super, super good but also
- 29:52Speaker 1: sad movie. It's the movie I made with Deborah Chow.
- 29:55Speaker 1: We've spoken about Debor Chow on this podcast. She's become
- 29:57Speaker 1: one of the hottest directors in town. She's one of
- 30:00Speaker 1: the directors of Mandalorian and she's directing m the Obi
- 30:06Speaker 1: Wan TV show. Anyway, her first feature that she wrote
- 30:09Speaker 1: and directed UM was was there and it was called
- 30:12Speaker 1: The High Cost of Living, which I was going to
- 30:14Speaker 1: say reach. The reason I would imagine, the reason why
- 30:17Speaker 1: I wouldn't translate or in France. In France is because
- 30:22Speaker 1: it's two different French us close enough. I mean you
- 30:26Speaker 1: can sound like this different, right, Sara, you would know
- 30:28Speaker 1: better than us. Isn't that sounds like you can understand
- 30:30Speaker 1: each other. That's like saying Haitians and montreal people speak
- 30:34Speaker 1: the same French Man, it's a different I don't think
- 30:37Speaker 1: it's that different. Let's ask the people, the person who's fluent, Sarah,
- 30:40Speaker 1: is it that different? I mean, they definitely are different.
- 30:43Speaker 1: I feel like there's sort of like a definitely people
- 30:47Speaker 1: from France would like to definitely think so, like when
- 30:51Speaker 1: I go to France and I'm so excited to speak
- 30:53Speaker 1: French at the market. Since um I was learned speaking
- 30:58Speaker 1: you know all my my teachers, growing friend Canadian Hello Milo,
- 31:05Speaker 1: Still good radio. They Callmedian Radio the radio because we
- 31:13Speaker 1: would be like chatting all the time. I don't even
- 31:19Speaker 1: know what she said, but it shifted. But that's French
- 31:23Speaker 1: Canadian right there. That's French Canadian. That's right now, Sarah,
- 31:28Speaker 1: as I recall what they no, it's a big difference
- 31:31Speaker 1: between that and freaking regular French. She just said it
- 31:34Speaker 1: was different, but Donald saying they can barely understand each other.
- 31:37Speaker 1: You can go there and they think you have an accent,
- 31:39Speaker 1: but they understand you. I mean, they were the words
- 31:42Speaker 1: are all the same. Yeah, I just say, that's it
- 31:45Speaker 1: real hard though. It's like it's like you're saying it
- 31:50Speaker 1: like that instead of plus some motherfucker, because that comes
- 31:54Speaker 1: up all the time. Fish. It's been like it's sad
- 31:59Speaker 1: of being like poissons le poison. I feel like they
- 32:06Speaker 1: said we like this, Sarah, Wet, they go wet. What
- 32:12Speaker 1: I remember is that they're going wet wa um. So sorry.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Joel has told us that that song didn't make the pilot, Sarah,
- 32:19Speaker 1: So maybe it was in the cut. You heard it
- 32:20Speaker 1: in the cut, and it probably was too expensive. I
- 32:22Speaker 1: have to ask Bill now because I don't know if
- 32:24Speaker 1: I'm making that up, but I thought it was in
- 32:25Speaker 1: the cut of the pilot. But yeah, maybe we had
- 32:27Speaker 1: to wait till season three for our boxer money to
- 32:30Speaker 1: go to. Bill doesn't do the ask Bill section, No,
- 32:34Speaker 1: he does. You misunderstood Donald. It's not that he was
- 32:38Speaker 1: giving up doing the segment. He said he just wanted
- 32:40Speaker 1: to be more proactive in his contributions. Isn't that right, Joel? Yes,
- 32:44Speaker 1: that is correct. Okay, can we let's get back to
- 32:47Speaker 1: the show. Okay, But I just have so much to
- 32:49Speaker 1: talk about. How about that news article about us that
- 32:52Speaker 1: was in Sarah did you see that? I saw it
- 32:55Speaker 1: and I read it and congratulations and I agree, and
- 33:00Speaker 1: I mean just the just the like in headline. Yeah,
- 33:05Speaker 1: it was like the podcast of Quarantine. How how Fake
- 33:08Speaker 1: Doctor's Real Friends became the hit podcast of Quarantine. Everybody,
- 33:12Speaker 1: if you haven't seen it, US says that we're all amazing,
- 33:15Speaker 1: and we agree, and it is such a it's such
- 33:19Speaker 1: a beautiful relief in the midst of all of the shit.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Like I find there have been stressful moments obviously over
- 33:27Speaker 1: the past seven months, when someone gets sick and you're like, oh,
- 33:30Speaker 1: good now that every symptoms on the docket. There's not
- 33:33Speaker 1: really a moment of relief if you're sick of wondering
- 33:35Speaker 1: is is it is? It's not it? And I have
- 33:39Speaker 1: played I remember one time I was really stressed. I
- 33:41Speaker 1: played it and it was you guys and Neil Flynn
- 33:43Speaker 1: and I laughed my ass off, And it does it
- 33:46Speaker 1: just like takes you out of all of the things.
- 33:49Speaker 1: It's it's so great. You know what takes me out
- 33:51Speaker 1: of you know what takes me out of thinking about
- 33:53Speaker 1: shit too? Is watching you on vacation with your family, Sarah,
- 33:57Speaker 1: and you trying to the motor boat with the motor
- 34:00Speaker 1: boat trying to get the motor out of the water.
- 34:04Speaker 1: That is Sarah. Will you explain? First of all, you
- 34:08Speaker 1: should follow Sarah Chalk on the social media, but oh
- 34:12Speaker 1: my god, what was going on with this with this video?
- 34:15Speaker 1: Can you explain to people that didn't see hilarious? So
- 34:19Speaker 1: it's a long video of my butt trying to pull
- 34:21Speaker 1: up a motor I I'm just trying to So the
- 34:25Speaker 1: motor is very heavy and for some reason, why were
- 34:31Speaker 1: you trying to pull the what do they call those motors?
- 34:33Speaker 1: The it's outboard? Why are you trying to pull the
- 34:36Speaker 1: outboard motor out of the water, Because so it's an
- 34:39Speaker 1: outboard motor, it's like a twenty five or something, which
- 34:42Speaker 1: is the horsepower, and it's big and it's heavy, and
- 34:45Speaker 1: it's on the back of a tin boat. And so
- 34:48Speaker 1: basically when you beat it, you can't leave the outboard
- 34:50Speaker 1: down or the prop will get totally damaged. Doesn't just
- 34:54Speaker 1: tilt up. So this is a skill that my sisters
- 34:57Speaker 1: have learned um and because I lived in la and
- 35:01Speaker 1: I just for seventeen years whatever, I just there's some
- 35:04Speaker 1: skills I was missing. So this summer I was like,
- 35:06Speaker 1: I'm learning to drive the boat. I'm learning to pull
- 35:08Speaker 1: out the motor. The motor is very hard, so you
- 35:10Speaker 1: pull in, you got to kind of time it out
- 35:12Speaker 1: that you you know, kill the motor, and then as
- 35:14Speaker 1: you're coming into the beach, you don't want to kill
- 35:15Speaker 1: it two earlier you'll be out to see and then
- 35:17Speaker 1: you have to quickly grab it and pull it up.
- 35:20Speaker 1: But there's a way that you can kind of like
- 35:21Speaker 1: push down on the handle to give yourself some you know,
- 35:25Speaker 1: umph to get that motor out. And I didn't know
- 35:28Speaker 1: that I was doing it till Piper, my sister, had
- 35:31Speaker 1: videoed me trying for about fifteen minutes to pull this
- 35:34Speaker 1: motor out. And then she played it back for me afterwards,
- 35:38Speaker 1: and finally I got up. I did bail and have
- 35:40Speaker 1: a couple of Scrubs esque pratfalls. But what I didn't
- 35:43Speaker 1: notice so I watched it back, was every time I've
- 35:45Speaker 1: always tried to pull up that motor, I make the
- 35:47Speaker 1: jd um. I like it, just like for summer. It
- 35:55Speaker 1: was so funny watching you try and pull an outboard
- 35:58Speaker 1: motor out. I mean it was like it was it
- 36:00Speaker 1: was like watching an episode of Three's Company. It was
- 36:02Speaker 1: just I wish it was set to music. It's just
- 36:07Speaker 1: I mean, I can't. I'm gotten telling you. It's heavy.
- 36:11Speaker 1: It's heavy. I pictured this is how you get around
- 36:15Speaker 1: in Canada twenty five Yeah, just in your little ten
- 36:19Speaker 1: twenty boat with your twenty five horse power. Speaking of Canada,
- 36:24Speaker 1: are you guys watching the show called the vale on
- 36:28Speaker 1: um Hbo Max. It's so good. I haven't seen it.
- 36:32Speaker 1: I've heard it's so great and we can discuss it
- 36:34Speaker 1: at our next reunion. I've heard it's amazing. I'm just
- 36:37Speaker 1: behind y'all watch the way too much television. Man. It's
- 36:41Speaker 1: like y'all need to get some get them kids, some kids, kids,
- 36:47Speaker 1: some kids. You'll never watch television again, Well, Donald, what,
- 36:50Speaker 1: I don't watch that much TV. I watched TV. We
- 36:52Speaker 1: watched TV like for a few hours after fuck are
- 36:54Speaker 1: you got a new show every day? It's like, Yo,
- 36:56Speaker 1: have you guys watched the Perception? Well you watch You're
- 37:01Speaker 1: you don't watch it sounds TV after you have dinner,
- 37:05Speaker 1: like like many do, we do. We try and get
- 37:08Speaker 1: into a few good shows betwixt dinner and bedtime. Yeah,
- 37:13Speaker 1: I don't. I don't have the I don't do that.
- 37:16Speaker 1: I get to watch, I watch a little bit of sports.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Then then I you know, that's it. I go to bed.
- 37:22Speaker 1: I think that you're I think that you're unique in
- 37:24Speaker 1: that area. I think, especially during quarantine, there's there's a
- 37:27Speaker 1: lot of brilliant television right now to consume. Anyway, The
- 37:31Speaker 1: VA on October and October, and I'm very excited for October. Anyway,
- 37:34Speaker 1: The VOW on HBO Max. I highly recommend you check
- 37:37Speaker 1: it out. It's really fucked up and very well told,
- 37:40Speaker 1: and it's about a cult and a lot of it
- 37:43Speaker 1: takes place in Vancouver. That's why I brought it up. Sarah,
- 37:46Speaker 1: I'm so glad you didn't get recruited into this sex
- 37:48Speaker 1: cult because they pulled in a lot of actors' real
- 37:52Speaker 1: it's a real Is it based on nexium? Yes? It
- 37:56Speaker 1: is nexium? It is. No, it's a documentary, Sarah. They're
- 38:00Speaker 1: they're They're showing all these beautiful young Canadian actresses that
- 38:04Speaker 1: got recruited into this thing, and I'm like, I'm so
- 38:06Speaker 1: glad they didn't get my Sarah, it is I feel
- 38:10Speaker 1: like it went it went down. I think like right
- 38:12Speaker 1: after I moved to la If, I'm right, Alison mac right,
- 38:15Speaker 1: she's the one that she becomes like one of the
- 38:17Speaker 1: fucking leaders of the ship's branding them. I listened to
- 38:21Speaker 1: I haven't watched Boilers, but they brand boilers. They brand
- 38:24Speaker 1: them vagina adjacent. Yes, they brand them next to the vaginas. Sarah,
- 38:28Speaker 1: you're ruining the show. I just have a couple more things.
- 38:31Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. What is the name
- 38:33Speaker 1: of this show. It's called The Vow. It's on HBO Max.
- 38:38Speaker 1: It is so fucked up, Daniel, you watching it? Let
- 38:40Speaker 1: me write them down and watch it. I'm so Sarah.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Did anyone ever come up to you and be like,
- 38:46Speaker 1: I have a really wonderful class. I want to take
- 38:49Speaker 1: you to let me show let me just show you
- 38:51Speaker 1: my branding. Oh my god, she's she's lifting up her shirt.
- 38:54Speaker 1: She's branded everybody, she's branded. And right at that moment
- 38:58Speaker 1: the lad Lightning package went out. There we go. I
- 39:00Speaker 1: don't mean to make a joke out everybody. It is
- 39:02Speaker 1: really fucked up, but I but you just can't believe it.
- 39:05Speaker 1: You're watching it with your jaw on the floor of this.
- 39:07Speaker 1: It's not only is it such a fucked up story,
- 39:10Speaker 1: but the documentarians did a really amazing job telling it.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Because you're just like, holy shit, I wonder if it's
- 39:16Speaker 1: the same documentarians that did they So they did a
- 39:18Speaker 1: podcast which I've listened to all the episodes about Nexium.
- 39:21Speaker 1: I think it was on the CBC a couple of
- 39:22Speaker 1: years ago. We don't talk about other podcasts. Yeah, I
- 39:25Speaker 1: get that. I just realized as it was coming out
- 39:27Speaker 1: of my mouth, guys listening my mouth, and I realized
- 39:33Speaker 1: that it might be a competitor. Um. I was wearing
- 39:36Speaker 1: my tu sarring my two and I just broke in
- 39:39Speaker 1: my garberator. All of a sudden, I pulled out of
- 39:41Speaker 1: the parcade. Sarah say the most Canadian sentence you can
- 39:47Speaker 1: I think that was it that involved two which is
- 39:49Speaker 1: your hat, your garbade, which is our garbage pulls in
- 39:50Speaker 1: your parkcade, which is a parking structure, and then you
- 39:55Speaker 1: say suri suriy and then you say I'm just off
- 39:59Speaker 1: to have you guys, anyone seem like Gilda tuk No,
- 40:02Speaker 1: what's that? What? OK? Yeah? It was It was a
- 40:07Speaker 1: It was a yes, a movie that we were forced
- 40:09Speaker 1: to watch in French class every year growing up. Um,
- 40:12Speaker 1: all right, Donald, you on your phone right now? What
- 40:14Speaker 1: the fuck are you doing? I'm waiting to get into
- 40:16Speaker 1: the show. You guys are so you've checked out of
- 40:18Speaker 1: the show. You're on your phone right I'm not really
- 40:25Speaker 1: social media looking at animation videos on YouTube right now.
- 40:28Speaker 1: I'm not big anymore. Dude, that ship was fucking like
- 40:31Speaker 1: a half an hour or a time? Did you stay?
- 40:34Speaker 1: Oh you got a high a half hour ago and
- 40:35Speaker 1: you're not still high? What has we been we've been
- 40:37Speaker 1: doing We've been doing the show for over a half
- 40:40Speaker 1: an hour, so it can't be a half hour ago. Wait,
- 40:42Speaker 1: I didn't know that, Donald, I missed the beginning. Yeah,
- 40:44Speaker 1: he's hot, we've lost that. I didn't know that I
- 40:48Speaker 1: was underneath the death by the way, Sarah, it's a
- 40:51Speaker 1: perfect now and dude, we all came back for season
- 40:53Speaker 1: three feeling ourselves. I got a little Tommy phoning it in.
- 40:56Speaker 1: I'm cocky. Donald comes into season three the podcast Big
- 41:00Speaker 1: in his phone. Listen, hold on, time out, Time out,
- 41:04Speaker 1: Time out, Buddy, listen. I am not high right now. Okay,
- 41:08Speaker 1: so let's yea. I am worn off. It's worn off.
- 41:11Speaker 1: It's completely worn off. I am. I seen some of
- 41:13Speaker 1: this quick wear off weed because if I get high,
- 41:16Speaker 1: it's been hours. It's been about it's been hours. My
- 41:19Speaker 1: point is that should be one of our products, quick
- 41:21Speaker 1: wear off weed by fake doctrines, real friends. Oh my god,
- 41:24Speaker 1: we make so much money. You can you can be
- 41:27Speaker 1: you can be high, but it lasts, it goes away
- 41:29Speaker 1: after a half hour. All right, all right, let's show
- 41:33Speaker 1: the thank you. All right, thank you. Forty three minutes in,
- 41:36Speaker 1: we've finally gotten to this. Okay, So we talked about
- 41:41Speaker 1: your hair already, we talked about your weight and everything
- 41:43Speaker 1: like that. Talk right, George Michael in the beginning. Yeah,
- 41:48Speaker 1: so what's the difference. You can you can sing, George Michael,
- 41:51Speaker 1: and as long as it's not the actual music and
- 41:54Speaker 1: George Michael singing and doesn't cost any money. But if
- 41:57Speaker 1: you know, I'm sure too. We had three songs in
- 41:59Speaker 1: this episode. This is how much Bill was feeling our
- 42:01Speaker 1: budget after on season two. Uh, Tom, Petty, George, Michael,
- 42:06Speaker 1: you two. I imagine it was a very expensive song.
- 42:09Speaker 1: I think we shot probably half the half the show's
- 42:12Speaker 1: music budget in the first episode. But um but uh yeah.
- 42:17Speaker 1: So I'm dancing and Donald says, what's the rule about
- 42:20Speaker 1: white boys dancing in public? And I go, not allowed
- 42:23Speaker 1: unless you're gay. And then this amazing guy comes in
- 42:29Speaker 1: and dances like crazy and does this move and we
- 42:31Speaker 1: go Morning Stephen, which we then name our dog, our
- 42:38Speaker 1: second dog. Um. But the funniest right off the bat
- 42:44Speaker 1: would You're like, if I could touch your body like no,
- 42:46Speaker 1: not you, sir. Yeah, if I could touch your body,
- 42:52Speaker 1: not you, sir. And then let's get let's get to
- 42:57Speaker 1: the basketball game. Smack talk, yeah, smack talking, Omaja Butler Omoja.
- 43:03Speaker 1: I want to say it right, Omoja Butler? Yeah, uh
- 43:07Speaker 1: it has Probably that's that joke made me laugh, probably
- 43:11Speaker 1: the hardest out of all of the jokes in the show,
- 43:14Speaker 1: where he's like, I'm gonna toast you so bad your
- 43:17Speaker 1: mother is not gonna recognize you. And you go, oh, yeah,
- 43:20Speaker 1: well I heard just just have started drinking again. And
- 43:24Speaker 1: then you're like and then his face just true and
- 43:27Speaker 1: he starts crying and right, and then you go, oh,
- 43:30Speaker 1: it's not supposed to be true. Yeah, you're all out. Yeah, yeah,
- 43:36Speaker 1: you go like let him flow or something, and then yeah,
- 43:38Speaker 1: and it's just your delivery. Yeah, well I heard your
- 43:41Speaker 1: sister started drinking again. And I love that JD doesn't
- 43:49Speaker 1: have a smack talk. He's like, oh, it's it's not
- 43:50Speaker 1: supposed to be true. And then also, this is this
- 43:55Speaker 1: is the episode that Frick started. Yeah, two forty three,
- 43:58Speaker 1: everybody a mom Avery, First Frick. What's the genesis of Frick?
- 44:04Speaker 1: I wish I remembered. I don't remember. I don't know.
- 44:07Speaker 1: I don't remember. I don't know if it was me
- 44:08Speaker 1: your bill. And then then it developed went to double frick,
- 44:13Speaker 1: and then frick on a stick with a brick, No,
- 44:16Speaker 1: it was frick, double frick, frick on a stick on
- 44:19Speaker 1: a stick with a brick. It became one of Sarah's catchphrases.
- 44:24Speaker 1: She finally got her What you talking about? Willis? I
- 44:26Speaker 1: got it? In season three season season three, she got
- 44:29Speaker 1: her frick. I didn't get a box there, but I
- 44:31Speaker 1: got a frick. Yeah, but I did. I did get
- 44:35Speaker 1: that pink Cashmere juicy jogger set that I wore in
- 44:38Speaker 1: that frick scene. I remember they let me take that home.
- 44:40Speaker 1: Oh yeah, girl, Do you remember Juicy? Do you remember
- 44:45Speaker 1: that I juicy, Juicy Cashmere? Yeah, man, Juicy with the
- 44:52Speaker 1: gym everybody had, and it was sweatsuits. It was a
- 44:55Speaker 1: bunch of sweatsuits and everybody was paying three hundred dollars
- 44:59Speaker 1: for sweatsuit. Yeah, juicy, they figured it out. Juicy. Um,
- 45:05Speaker 1: So you know frick comes from you can't You know?
- 45:07Speaker 1: On TV shows and network you're always trying to work
- 45:10Speaker 1: around places where you'd actually curse. Some shows like Do
- 45:13Speaker 1: It and Beep It, which which I guess it is
- 45:16Speaker 1: easier if you're more documentary style, like like The Office
- 45:19Speaker 1: or Modern Family or something. Um. Some shows The Good
- 45:24Speaker 1: Place very creatively made it fork because they were in
- 45:29Speaker 1: like this supposedly in this like heaven type setting where
- 45:33Speaker 1: where it just automatically changes all your curses to better words.
- 45:37Speaker 1: But so Frick allowed Sarah to say fuck without saying fuck.
- 45:42Speaker 1: There's one more. There's one more place that they changed
- 45:45Speaker 1: the word and so you wouldn't say fucking. That was
- 45:47Speaker 1: Battlestar Galactica, and they said frak and that became are
- 45:51Speaker 1: you frakin kidding me? Are you frakin kidding me? Right now?
- 45:55Speaker 1: But that they never explained it, or they just just
- 45:57Speaker 1: did it. They just did it for the whole the
- 45:59Speaker 1: whole run of the show. It would be like, what
- 46:01Speaker 1: the frack are you talking about? Oh, frack, I'm gonna
- 46:04Speaker 1: frack you up. You can say friggin um, which I
- 46:08Speaker 1: always thought was which was a comfortable alternative. Yeah, but
- 46:11Speaker 1: some people don't like friggin It doesn't have the power
- 46:14Speaker 1: that buck has or frick or frick. You need the k,
- 46:18Speaker 1: you need the k frick. You know that to make
- 46:21Speaker 1: a movie PG thirteen, Uh, you're allowed one fuck in
- 46:26Speaker 1: a PG thirteen movie and it can't be as sexual. Fuck.
- 46:29Speaker 1: You can't be like, oh, I want to fuck her,
- 46:32Speaker 1: but you can be like what the fuck? Oh I
- 46:35Speaker 1: didn't know an old trivia for you. So you have
- 46:37Speaker 1: to pick your fuck. If you're if you're directing a
- 46:39Speaker 1: PG thirteen movie, they're like, all right, pick your fuck,
- 46:41Speaker 1: what do you want? And then next rating you can do?
- 46:45Speaker 1: Are you consider? Yeah, okay, so there's some I'm sorry,
- 46:50Speaker 1: go ahead, go ahead ahead. I'm trying to think of
- 46:51Speaker 1: the other oh PG thirteen rules they've probably changed there
- 46:56Speaker 1: used to be like, um obviously sex, um, there were
- 47:00Speaker 1: some other other ones. Forgot drug use. Maybe I don't know.
- 47:04Speaker 1: All right, go ahead, Donald, Uh Kelso's nose squeaks the
- 47:07Speaker 1: entire episode before we get to Kelso's Nose. What about
- 47:10Speaker 1: Sarah losing her car door? I mean that was hilarious.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Further and then carrying it around the hospital with Mesa
- 47:16Speaker 1: doesn't get stolen. Now, this is something that this is
- 47:19Speaker 1: something that goes on. This joke continues through other episodes
- 47:25Speaker 1: because you you later on have like a taxicab door
- 47:28Speaker 1: like a yellow on your car and everything like that.
- 47:31Speaker 1: So this is a joke that continues with your brand
- 47:34Speaker 1: new card. Am I right? Or am I wrong? Yeah?
- 47:37Speaker 1: That's right. I forgot about that. I think that's right.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Yeah she did. She didn't get the matching colored door.
- 47:42Speaker 1: She just got it was the same door of her car,
- 47:44Speaker 1: but it was yellow. Um. Yeah, so that I thought
- 47:51Speaker 1: that was very funny. Um and then yeah, so sorry Donald,
- 47:55Speaker 1: go to go to Kelso's squeaky nose, which is very funny.
- 47:57Speaker 1: For the whole episode, Kelso has a squeaking knows because
- 48:00Speaker 1: of the punch he received from doctor Cox, and that
- 48:04Speaker 1: shit is left. Yo. Every time KI would uh inhale,
- 48:08Speaker 1: it would squeak. It's only on the inhale. Though it's
- 48:11Speaker 1: not on the exhale, It's only on the inhale. So
- 48:13Speaker 1: every time inhale. I love how people hate him so
- 48:18Speaker 1: much that even though the room was packed, He's like,
- 48:20Speaker 1: miraculously no one was. Sorry. Sammy, Sammy in the background
- 48:26Speaker 1: going like ceting now my dive under the gurney. I
- 48:32Speaker 1: replated it a few times because I thought it was
- 48:34Speaker 1: a cowboy switch. Sea. I couldn't figure out if it
- 48:37Speaker 1: was or not. I was not a cowboy switch. I
- 48:40Speaker 1: feel like it was. I feel like you came running
- 48:44Speaker 1: up in the hallway and from the back, then it
- 48:46Speaker 1: was cowboy switch, and then you popped up. I know,
- 48:48Speaker 1: but it was so seamless. That good. That so for
- 48:52Speaker 1: those of you who don't remember a cowboy switches when
- 48:54Speaker 1: the actor who's not a stuntman is hiding and the
- 48:58Speaker 1: stuntman does something sane and then kind of goes off
- 49:01Speaker 1: camera and then the real actor pops up. So JD
- 49:04Speaker 1: does this insane sort of slide under a gurney and
- 49:08Speaker 1: then I pop up. I'm pretty I'm like, I'm pretty
- 49:11Speaker 1: sure it's a cowboy switch, but man, it is seamless.
- 49:13Speaker 1: You cannot tell. It's so like the timing of me
- 49:15Speaker 1: coming up was so brazy. It's over. And I mean,
- 49:19Speaker 1: you did always, for the most part, try your own
- 49:22Speaker 1: falls always, so it's very pausible. I did. I did.
- 49:24Speaker 1: I did a lot of them. But when when when
- 49:26Speaker 1: when you know? The thing about a stunt man is
- 49:28Speaker 1: there is when there's a real chance, like, okay, you
- 49:31Speaker 1: could get hurt doing this one, Like like when I
- 49:33Speaker 1: exit the room, that's clearly at it takes a really
- 49:37Speaker 1: hard fall on the gurney tipping over. So you don't
- 49:39Speaker 1: want your actors breaking anything because then you can't fucking
- 49:43Speaker 1: make the show. So a lot of these actors, also,
- 49:47Speaker 1: stunt people often don't get paid well. They get like
- 49:50Speaker 1: one rate to show up, but then often they won't
- 49:53Speaker 1: get more money unless they do the thing. So sometimes
- 49:57Speaker 1: I feel for stunt people who are like, oh, come on,
- 49:59Speaker 1: you know you want to show off and do it yourself,
- 50:01Speaker 1: but let me fucking do this stunt and right, and
- 50:04Speaker 1: so I often tried to do them, but but but
- 50:06Speaker 1: some of them were I could like break a hand.
- 50:08Speaker 1: They were like, no, you're not doing that. I would still,
- 50:11Speaker 1: even not doing my own stunts. Come once a season
- 50:14Speaker 1: two scrubs on crutches with having torn the ligaments in
- 50:17Speaker 1: my left ankle. I think it was about once a year,
- 50:19Speaker 1: and I'd be like, Randall, I'm so sorry. So they
- 50:23Speaker 1: would like they would have me like standing behind beside
- 50:25Speaker 1: the bed and standing in a lot of scenes and
- 50:28Speaker 1: not walking a week. How many times did you get
- 50:30Speaker 1: injured making this show? I feel like it was it
- 50:33Speaker 1: was always my ankle, and it was never doing anything fabulous.
- 50:35Speaker 1: I would come to send people like how'd you do it?
- 50:36Speaker 1: And I'd be like, I was walking Lola, and I
- 50:39Speaker 1: tripped on a pine cone on the sidewalk, and then
- 50:42Speaker 1: it was yeah, it was. It was basically the first
- 50:44Speaker 1: time I did it. I was in college and my
- 50:46Speaker 1: leg was crossed and my foot fell asleep, and I
- 50:49Speaker 1: was in like a five hundred person lecture hall and
- 50:51Speaker 1: I got up to ask the professor question and I
- 50:53Speaker 1: went down, like I went over my ankle. I rolled
- 50:56Speaker 1: my ankle and it swole up to the size of
- 50:57Speaker 1: a grapefruit and they X rayed it. And I was
- 51:00Speaker 1: nineteen years old and I had a growth plate that
- 51:04Speaker 1: hadn't closed because I haven't finished growing. But they thought
- 51:06Speaker 1: it was a hairline fracture, so by mistake, put me
- 51:07Speaker 1: into a plaster cast up to my knee and I
- 51:10Speaker 1: went to go film an episode of The Rosanne Show
- 51:12Speaker 1: and she was like. Roseanne was like, it doesn't make
- 51:14Speaker 1: sense you would have that get that taken off, and
- 51:16Speaker 1: so I did, even though like that's like a kid
- 51:18Speaker 1: who has like, you know, a potentially don't even what's
- 51:23Speaker 1: wrong take that cast. So they asked me to take
- 51:25Speaker 1: the cast off, so I did, and the doctor down
- 51:27Speaker 1: there was like, you're it's actually a blessing in disguise,
- 51:30Speaker 1: because this is like a growth plate that hasn't closed.
- 51:32Speaker 1: It's not a hairline fracture. If it's not broken. You
- 51:34Speaker 1: just sprained it really badly and that's why it swole
- 51:36Speaker 1: up so much. So Zan's coldness actually helped you. It
- 51:40Speaker 1: was it was such a it was a gift, man,
- 51:42Speaker 1: It's all for you. I want to tell everyone about
- 51:44Speaker 1: Lola Sarah's seven thousand dollar dog, and we'll explain it
- 51:48Speaker 1: right after these were and were bad and bad. I
- 52:02Speaker 1: know I'm allowed to join it on that. I just
- 52:03Speaker 1: I was inspired. You're just not allowed to read the
- 52:07Speaker 1: producer notes as you would call. Oh wait, okay, hold on, Donald,
- 52:12Speaker 1: still no, but you're not hot, You're not high at all, right, Sarah,
- 52:23Speaker 1: tell everyone who's listening about your seven thousand dollar dog.
- 52:26Speaker 1: And before you judge everyone, No, she didn't go buy
- 52:29Speaker 1: some boutique, fancy expensive. That was. That was a big
- 52:33Speaker 1: evening for us too. What what was the evening? What
- 52:35Speaker 1: were we doing? Where were it was a charity, Sarady.
- 52:38Speaker 1: You remember what the cause was. It was the Help Group.
- 52:40Speaker 1: It was for autism with children with autism, and it
- 52:43Speaker 1: was m Jeff Zucker, who was the boss at NBC.
- 52:46Speaker 1: Well you remember that Donald infamously gave the noogie two
- 52:49Speaker 1: that our first part, Please Donald, no, please Donald? Know. Uh.
- 52:53Speaker 1: So we were there and we were excited. I think
- 52:56Speaker 1: it was like season two, um and season one or
- 52:59Speaker 1: season two, and we went and Jeff Zucker was our
- 53:01Speaker 1: boss and the night was to honor him and his
- 53:04Speaker 1: contribution to the Help Group as well. And so there
- 53:07Speaker 1: was this little chocolate lab that they were having as
- 53:09Speaker 1: part of the auction to raise money, and I really
- 53:13Speaker 1: just paused there. Let me pause there. Did they have
- 53:15Speaker 1: one dog or several? It was just one, all right?
- 53:17Speaker 1: So I recall it was an auction obviously to raise
- 53:20Speaker 1: money for for autism, and they geniusly brought in this
- 53:24Speaker 1: puppy that was the cutest chocolate lab puppy you've ever seen.
- 53:27Speaker 1: It was like tiny, you fit in your palm in
- 53:30Speaker 1: your hands, and it was probably I don't know, I'm
- 53:33Speaker 1: guessing ten weeks old. And the idea was, you know,
- 53:36Speaker 1: we're gonna get They wanted everyone, and then you got
- 53:39Speaker 1: everyone like buzzed on alcohol, and then the idea is like,
- 53:41Speaker 1: all right, who's you guys are gonna bid on who
- 53:43Speaker 1: gets to take home this dog? And they brought they
- 53:46Speaker 1: brought her around, like you're saying to like to get
- 53:48Speaker 1: everybody super excited. It brought her around and I was
- 53:51Speaker 1: holding her, this little chocolate brown nugget. She was yeah,
- 53:54Speaker 1: she was like tiny, she's ten weeks old. And I
- 53:56Speaker 1: was wearing a chocolate brown dress. I remember it was
- 53:59Speaker 1: my was my bride's made stress from my sister's wedding,
- 54:02Speaker 1: and so I'm falling in love with this dog. And
- 54:08Speaker 1: then the bidding starts in the room, and I'm bidding
- 54:10Speaker 1: on her, and the whole I fall over the soul's
- 54:12Speaker 1: rest froom. Everyone's going crazy, Everyone's bidding on it, and
- 54:14Speaker 1: so finally I just gave up because it was insane.
- 54:17Speaker 1: It got too high. And then the whole cast around
- 54:20Speaker 1: the table, you guys all whispered to each other. And
- 54:22Speaker 1: then when the bidding came to write before the ending,
- 54:24Speaker 1: you all like stood up and put your arms up
- 54:26Speaker 1: and and got her for me, and and we all
- 54:29Speaker 1: split the costs each play a thousand dollars? How long?
- 54:33Speaker 1: How long did it take for me to pay you
- 54:35Speaker 1: the thousand dollars? Did you ever pay? I did pay her, Okay,
- 54:38Speaker 1: how long? I don't remember her I don't remember. But
- 54:42Speaker 1: it just was the most sweetest, thoughtful, touching thing ever.
- 54:45Speaker 1: And she obviously like became her Scrubs mascot and came
- 54:48Speaker 1: to Scrubs to work every day. And I loved her
- 54:50Speaker 1: so much. She was very I think I paid for Lola,
- 54:53Speaker 1: like season eight or nine, I finally gave the money.
- 54:59Speaker 1: In life, I remember whenever we had group things to
- 55:01Speaker 1: chip in on, like Crew gifts or or or getting
- 55:04Speaker 1: getting something for the crew, or in this case giving
- 55:07Speaker 1: money to charity for Sarah's dog. Johnny c would pay
- 55:10Speaker 1: you like an hour later. He'd be like, fast money
- 55:12Speaker 1: makes fast friends. That was one of his Johnny seisms
- 55:15Speaker 1: would be like fast money makes fast friends. And then
- 55:18Speaker 1: Donald was the polar opposite. Donald would be like eight
- 55:20Speaker 1: years later, he'd be like, yo, did I ever pay
- 55:23Speaker 1: you for the dog? And then I remember I was
- 55:29Speaker 1: the one who I was so disorganized. I just would
- 55:31Speaker 1: never catch the check. And Ken would be like, Sarah,
- 55:33Speaker 1: you haven't cashed the check yet. I hate those people. So, Lola,
- 55:40Speaker 1: when you went into Sarah's dress room, I know we
- 55:41Speaker 1: brought this up another time, but it was like the
- 55:44Speaker 1: it was like if you ever seen the show Hoarders.
- 55:46Speaker 1: It was like that, but worse. It was like it
- 55:48Speaker 1: was sort of as idious. There was like a soup
- 55:51Speaker 1: There was like an open soup can from two seasons
- 55:53Speaker 1: ago and like like looked like exploded. It kind of
- 55:59Speaker 1: is like as if is that this pages of notes
- 56:02Speaker 1: was my dressing room, right? As if if this kind
- 56:04Speaker 1: of like raining notes. So p Ken Jenkins is trying
- 56:08Speaker 1: to manage his check book and Sarah just throws a
- 56:10Speaker 1: check for a thousand dollars in there somewhere. This can
- 56:13Speaker 1: of soup from two seasons ago is true. But my
- 56:15Speaker 1: nickname was Super Breakfast because I would always have soup
- 56:17Speaker 1: all the time, and you guys would be like, oh,
- 56:19Speaker 1: it's super Breakfast for breakfast. I love I love soups.
- 56:23Speaker 1: I mean, I have my hot tea right now. There's
- 56:26Speaker 1: always something hot in my hands. It's like either soup
- 56:28Speaker 1: or tea or yeah. But that's guys, you run cold.
- 56:30Speaker 1: That's only that's the run cold. That circulation us. She
- 56:35Speaker 1: was fourteen. Oh she died, Lolla died. She did She
- 56:40Speaker 1: literally she was fourteen years old. That's pretty dumbn good
- 56:42Speaker 1: for a lab it was. It's been over fourteen years,
- 56:45Speaker 1: I guess, Holy shit, wow, it's it's it's been twenty one. Yeah.
- 56:54Speaker 1: Um yo. This is the first episode that I that
- 56:57Speaker 1: orange Google Googo, So I think this came from um.
- 57:03Speaker 1: Like this was at the height of the Jomba juice
- 57:05Speaker 1: craze um, which I don't used to drink. I don't
- 57:08Speaker 1: drink anymore because someone told me that there's like so
- 57:10Speaker 1: much sugar in them, and why are you drinking Jomba Juice.
- 57:13Speaker 1: But it was probably Harley Pastor Neck that told you, yeah,
- 57:15Speaker 1: yeahs not just not the disc Jomba Juice. If you
- 57:18Speaker 1: love it, it could be a nice treat for you,
- 57:20Speaker 1: but it's a sugar retreat. Did you know that Johnba Juice? Later? Uh,
- 57:24Speaker 1: Harley Passion Neck and Johnba Juice got into a partnership
- 57:27Speaker 1: together and he started selling smoothies at Jomba Juice. Really
- 57:30Speaker 1: have to remember he used to did we could cut
- 57:32Speaker 1: this out? But remember he used to tell us all
- 57:34Speaker 1: the time, Uh, you know, don't drink Johnba juice. It's
- 57:37Speaker 1: got a lot of sugar in it. He then had
- 57:39Speaker 1: his own smoothies at Johnba Juice. Yeah, but maybe, but
- 57:42Speaker 1: maybe he made a low sugar one to prove his point. Sure, sure,
- 57:49Speaker 1: Um Sarah, Sarah, Wait everybody, Oh I'm laughing at everyone. Um. Second,
- 57:57Speaker 1: Oh Jesus, is this the grease to Face episode? No,
- 58:01Speaker 1: it's not. Yes, this is no, it's not. Did you
- 58:04Speaker 1: watch the episode? But then no, I did. Come on, man,
- 58:09Speaker 1: this is you don't say grease to face on the show.
- 58:12Speaker 1: Because the grease to Face episode was when Sarah had
- 58:15Speaker 1: to come in looking like like really distressed and bad.
- 58:17Speaker 1: She doesn't have that moment she comes in with a makeover.
- 58:19Speaker 1: She never has a moment where she looks bad. Well,
- 58:22Speaker 1: they did give her playing Jane hair this episode, Like
- 58:25Speaker 1: everything is accented for the reveal at the end. There's
- 58:29Speaker 1: no moment where she was supposed to look sweaty, and
- 58:30Speaker 1: we teased her saying, come on, look worse than that.
- 58:33Speaker 1: But there's no moment in this episode where she like
- 58:35Speaker 1: was supposed to look particularly bad. And I want to
- 58:37Speaker 1: hear your thoughts on your makeover, big makeover in this
- 58:40Speaker 1: I want to know what your thoughts are run on
- 58:42Speaker 1: this dramatic, choppy Bob Janitor. I still like what that's
- 58:51Speaker 1: one of the greatest scenes in the episode. I'll let
- 58:53Speaker 1: you answer the question, but that scene I wrote that down.
- 58:55Speaker 1: I really want to talk about the Elliott and Janitor.
- 58:58Speaker 1: We're gonna get in then, but I just want to
- 58:59Speaker 1: know what in the macro, what did you think of
- 59:01Speaker 1: this big makeover? Because it's always a lot of pressure
- 59:03Speaker 1: when they're like, oh my god, it's a character makeover
- 59:05Speaker 1: and the todd as hell, don't get me wrong, coming
- 59:08Speaker 1: in and your eye makeup and your bob. But I
- 59:10Speaker 1: just like, I don't know. I guess I just liked
- 59:12Speaker 1: you with your little you know, your your before hair.
- 59:15Speaker 1: I mean I remember being I remember at the time
- 59:18Speaker 1: being very excited about it, because like I remember that
- 59:21Speaker 1: they had me leave at lunch and I raced over
- 59:23Speaker 1: town and this guy in Beverly Hills cut it and
- 59:25Speaker 1: then had me race back and and I got to
- 59:29Speaker 1: wear my first pair of True Religion jeans, which was
- 59:32Speaker 1: very exciting to me. M and that was like a
- 59:37Speaker 1: fancy brand at the time, I think, very fancy and
- 59:41Speaker 1: um and then Darla Albright are awesome makeup artists, put
- 59:44Speaker 1: all this like smoky eye makeup on me, and I
- 59:49Speaker 1: remember having fun and enjoying it at the time, and
- 59:52Speaker 1: looking back, I mean, I just, yeah, I guess I
- 59:56Speaker 1: feel like, you know, there was a line in one
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: of the episodes when Bill liked to put truisms into
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: our dialogue that was short hair gives me pig face,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: and so yeah, so that sometimes I always sometimes I
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: feel like with short hair gives me pig face. I
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: don't think you looked beautiful. You looked got Don't get
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: me wrong. I just maybe I'm just not into Bob's
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: is a personal thing. I don't know. I mean, don't
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: get me wrong, you looked gorgeous, but I, oh, I am.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: I just today my Amazon scissors. I like, now with
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: your with your with your like your dreadlock hair. It
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: really looks amazing. I think Damil and Joe Hell can
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: weigh in. It's pretty dancing. So I just you know,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: we're in a pandemic, and um, I ordered hair cutting
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: scissors from Amazon, and I just was overly excited. And
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: so I just tried to cut my own hair this morning.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: And I literally like have only had one person who
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: lives in LA when I've gone back for recordings or whatever,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: I've had a gout my hair. And so I just
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: kind of was like, I think Gregory goes something like this,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: and he does this. And then my niece was like
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: on YouTube, if you just put your hair in a
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: ponytail and then you just like kind of cut the
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: top kind of, So I did it. I don't know,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: I don't see when we'll see it's dry now, so
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: I don't know. I haven't take it. We'll see it
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: looks a little bit longer. If that fails, you can
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: always get the dude, the prover, the one cut that
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: works for everybody. You get a bowl and you put
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: it over your head and you just cut on the
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: outline of the bowl. I didn't know this trick. So
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: if I'm not happy with it's called the mo, the
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: MO from the Three Stooges. The mo the mo. Okay, Donald,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: if I'm not pleased with the results when this dry is,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: I'm going to do that? You get when not? When
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Ted turns to Carlin says, so you're engaged to that
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: surgeon guy, she goes, yeah, He goes, is it serious? Serious? No?
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: We swing yes. So so Ted first hit on Sarah
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: last episode because Sarah and the last episode you were
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: crying and he's kind of like want to get a
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: drink and uh. And in this episode he's trying the
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: Carla angle. He's just really he's really clutching a straws here.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: She looked so beautiful in this episode, by the way,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: Yeah she did. How about when she she goes to
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: seduce the uh or at least blackmail the doctor that
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: she hooked up with, and you're waiting out the outside
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: and she kind she comes out and she lowers her
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: top like she just hooked up with him. Yeahs like,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: how is that funny. Let's get to the Elliott and
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: the janitor in the men's room. Yeah, so funny. This
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: is the first time we established that because we don't
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: know his name, that Elliott decided she's going to call
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: him janitor. And it's always high pitched. And it got
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: more in my high pitched by the episode, Like this
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: was the first one that we did that, and then
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: by season eight it was like Hiro and Iron and
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: sometimes we do takes where it was not even audible
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: and be like they're probably never going to use this,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: but how high can we possibly? I love that the
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: janitor doesn't even flinch. He's just like, yeah, as though
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: you said his name, yea, yeah, yeah, Oh my god,
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Neil in the scene. For some reasons, things like this
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: scene I remember like we shot it yesterday. It feels
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: like so recent. I don't know why. Um and oh
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: my god, he made laughed so hard when he's talking
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: about my grandmother that was actually my mother and my mother,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: my sister who was my mom or my grandmother thought
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: she was my mother, my sister was my mom, and
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: my brother dad dad, not just that when you well,
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: when you say to him and you're like you're like
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: you know, and my life's turned pretty much turned upside down.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Do you ever feel like that he goes, nah, because
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: I'm a winner. Just the fact that the janitor, the
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: janitor of the hospital's reply is no, because I'm a winner.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: I wonder if, like I wonder if the janitor with
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: you know, because we never know when he's telling the
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: truth or when he's lying. If maybe because he fancies Sarah,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: that he is telling the truth, Like we have no
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: idea when he says this brother dad, if any of
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: it's true and he's just if he's just a fucking
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: total liar. I feel like with Sarah, maybe maybe with Elliott,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: he was like, you know, truthful. I mean, I'm just
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: thinking that for the first time. Well I don't know
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: what it was. I like to think he was. I
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: like to think a lot of this is a lot
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: of what the janitor tells us is true, Like when
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: he brings out the cage at Turk and Carla's baby shower.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: When he brings out the cage for the baby is
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: because he had one when he was a kid when
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: they wanted to you know what I mean. But we
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: never know, you know, unless you're cutting to his house
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: like when he has a squirrel army and you actually
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: see the squirrel army. You know, you just never know.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: It's so fun to watch Neil in these scenes though,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: because he always throws in like obviously the dialogue and um,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: you know how the writers would write or whatever Neil says,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: and he would come up with something insanely funny on
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: the spot. Um. But like even the stuff he does,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: like on this scene where he just like talking to
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: me and he randomly smells the urinal cake just like
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: in the middle of the line. It's a good year.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: I laughed out loud when when you see Scott Fully
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: in the smoothie place and uh, he says, I thought
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: you hated this place because the time you got sick
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: here and you go you remember that, and he goes,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: you've got sick on my face? Is the master? I
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: think Scott Fully is coming on next episode because yeah, yeah,
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: that's the Sea World episode and I and he's down,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: but because that's when dolphins but uh but um, but Sarah, Uh,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: he was your scene partner, so you can speak to
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: this even better. But god, no one delivers a straight
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: man line like that guy. Just you got sick on
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: my face? And he he doesn't break. Ever, Yeah, he
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: doesn't break. It doesn't break, no matter what, he just
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: doesn't break. He doesn't break, doesn't crack up, yeah, oh
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: my god, all over the floor. And then in front
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: of his new hot girlfriend and you're like, and he goes,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: it's okay. It happens. That is really funny. So you
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: think you're like, oh my god, this Sean, this is fate.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: And then in walks like the pretty new girlfriend and
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: you just look at it and take one look at
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: her and you bugle on the floor. You know. I
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: found it really interesting that they after that, they go
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: outside with the two of them, with Sean and this
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: new girlfriend for the dialogue, so that you understand that
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: he still kind of has feelings for Elliott. I found
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: that very interesting that they did that, you know what
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: I mean, Well, they go outside just to see the
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: joke of her with the door in her car. Yeah,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: but there's this whole setup for that, and then she
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: drives by, and you know, like he's he's sticking up
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: for her when she's like that girl is such a loser.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: He's like, I don't know about that. You know, she's
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: she's she's she's a sweetheart. He's saying nice things about her,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: and then Elliott drives by with the no door right
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: the smoothies on the roof, and he's and you could
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: see then right there and there Scott Alie again. Sean
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: goes again Elliott like he he's he just he just
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: finished sticking up for her, and she's already blown that.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: But he has to tell her that he has the
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: smoothies on her roof or she's gonna be driving in
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: traffic and hit the brakes and that's gonna scare the
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: shit out of her. And he knows it's gonna cause
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: an accident, so he gives the Elliot, you left the
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: smoothies on your roof. She smashes on the brake like
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: they're meant for each other, they're perfect for each other,
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: and then ans google all over. Then you lose the
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: other door with That was fucking hilarious. I laughed, Yeah,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: I laughed at Sarah, You're very funny. Sarah's Sarah's cool guy.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: Like try Sarah Elliot's mustering everything she can to look
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: cute and cool in front of the new girlfriend, random
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: point with no door and the smoothies on our roof.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: Double freaking and then and then like Scott Foley's delivery
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: when we're in that scene with the with the smoothies
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: and I give some random, long explanation of some dream
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: that I had and he's like, yeah, I'm doing about
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: the same too. Yeah, he's so funny. He's good. We
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: gotta do a show with him, like when we make
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: our Space Janitor TV show. Um, whatever the next thing is,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: we gotta we gotta pop Scott. I want to do
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: something with Scott Foley nobody. That was so funny. What
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: do you want to do with Scott foy buddy? I
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: know we should we should go to break. We should
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: go to break, We should go to break. Do we
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: need to go to break? To all? And what about
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: the guest? We have a get we guess this here
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: we can know. But it's so with Sarah Chalk here,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: it's so exciting. We have so much to talk about.
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: All right, we're gonna go to break, guys, and we
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: come back. Not only were we gonna have more of
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: America's favorite Canadian Sarah Chalk, we are going to have
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: a guest. And it's very hard to top last episodes guests, Joel,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: because people really, really love the guy who had sex
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: at a funeral while sitting on a toilet. Um, So,
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: I hope that this guest can top that. We'll be
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: right back. All right, here we go, everybody. We're back.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: We're back, We're back. We're back with the delightful Sarah Chalk,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: the wonderful Sarah Chalk, the glorious. And here is Adam Burger. Hi, Adam,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: Adam Burger. You got a full house today. You got
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: a full house. You got three interns, the King and
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: oh my gosh, Hi guys, Hi man, Welcome to the program,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: Fake Doctor's Real Friends. We really appreciate you being here.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: You must be an extraordinary guest because we had such
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: a memorable guest in the last episode that Joel has
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: really upped her game. And I know she wouldn't follow
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: last week's sex on a toilet at a funeral with
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: someone who wasn't worthy of following the story that you
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: wrote in to get on the show. Yeah so, Um.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: I teach musical theater at a an arts high school
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: here and I've been a Scrub super fan since it aired.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: I'm your Guys's age on forty five and I've been
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: watching it since it aired. And in two thousand and eight,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: my class, my advanced class of high schoolers, we decided
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: to do the Scrubs musical episode. Oh my god, that's what.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: And so I was obviously I knew the episode really,
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: really well, and I didn't, you know, being a teacher,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: I'm very cognizant of you know, rights and royalties and stuff.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: And I'm like, well, I don't want to even work
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: on this if I don't have permission. So I sought
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: out Jeff Marks, who's one of the composers of the songs,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: and he didn't have a new queue as well, and
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: I found his website and I emailed him and and
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: he I didn't really expect to hear back, but he
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: wrote me a very long email, very friendly, basically saying,
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: you know, I didn't write everything. Deborah Fordham was the
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: episode writer and she wrote a lot of the stuff too,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: but she said, you know, he said, you're not charging
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: for it, are you? And I said, well, no, I'm
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: it's just like a class project that we're doing. He said,
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: then don't worry about it. Nobody's going to carry So
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: we didn't even publish the music from it or anything.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: So I'm a pianist and a musician, and I arranged
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: all the songs. Oh my god, bought under the just
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: so happened to have like the exact right students that year,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: like the right demographics to do that too. And I'm like,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: I don't know if you guys know scrubs, but I'm
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: obsessed with it. We're going to do this really weird project.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: And I cast it from the class and we presented it,
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: uh just for some like as a class assignment. People
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: came in to watch, and it was a number killed
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: the most though, oh gosh, probably guy love that's I mean,
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: I love classic. Did you have to censor? You're the
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: only man who's ever been in the side of me? No.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: We lucky. I'm very very lucky that I work at
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: an art school where we could push the boundaries pretty well.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: I don't have anybody really watching over my shoulder to
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: censor me on stuff. We've done some like edgy shows
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: and stuff. But I imagine this, I imagine the teenager
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: probably didn't hold up his fist, though I would. I
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: would have thought that the number that killed would have
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: been the Pooh song. But that's just me, Like that
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: was a hard one to make it as funny, I think,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: because you know we're on a stage. We didn't. It
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: was very hard to stage a TV show on a
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: on a theaprical stage, so it was a lot of
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: the humor I think was lost in that. But you know,
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: seeing two guys up there singing, well, that's so great.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: You know there is there is a Scrubs musical in development,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: a real one. Oh I didn't. I don't even know
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: if I'm supposed to say that, but I'll ask. I'm
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: sure I can say that. Randall Winston, who we've had
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: on the show and was one of our main producers,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: our line producer, I think he was taking the lead
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: on developing a Broadway musical, taking some of the songs
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: from the from the Scrubs Musical episode, and then of
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: course that's not enough to build a two and a
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: half hour show around. So then you know, and of
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: course you know, figuring out what the story of it
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: would be. But I know that it was in the works.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: For those of you who interested in that, Oh my gosh,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: that's wild. You could take so many of the stories
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: and then turn them into the Scrubs Musical, like the
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: story of the story where we sang I'm waiting for
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: my real life to begin. We could add that in there.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: We could you could add you could add so many
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: moments where we where we sang into the musical. Also,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: I think I think it'd be cool is JD going
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: into fantasy in a musical world set. It could be
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: so fun because you get so much cool stuff with
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: set design and numbers everything like that. Yeah, yeah, I
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: like that. Yeah, um, well that's cool. And I'm so
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: glad that you seem like a really fun teacher. Ad him.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: I went to a high school where a public high
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: school in New Jersey, Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey,
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: and it wasn't cool to be in plays. And I
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: did have a great drama teacher who I liked a lot,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: but I, you know, I was a self conscious team
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: and I was doing all of this, all of my
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: theater stuff outside of school. I was going to theater camp,
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: I was doing, you know, participating in sort of community
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: theater stuff. But I was too self conscious. I regret
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: to be in the school plays. And so I know,
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: you're at an art school, so it's it's a different world.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: But I just loved I love it when I hear
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: about great teachers like you who are inspiring kids to perform. Well,
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: I'm really lucky because, you know, like I said, we
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: get to do some really cool stuff there. I really
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: try to think outside the box and do do weird
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: stuff that no other school would do, so that we
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: don't have that problem of like students only wanting to
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: go out and do community theater stuff that they want
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: to do our shows every year. So we've, like I said,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: we've been able to do some really cool edgy things
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: over the years without really anybody intervening. And you know,
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: one of the things we ourselves on as a school
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: is that, you know, the whole student body or kind
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: of the outcasts, you know, they're kind of you know,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: the coolest kid at our school is you know, might
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: be the star of the musical instead of the star
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: of the football team. That's why That's why I flourished
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: in theater camp. That's why I was like, oh, because
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: I was like I was good at being in plays,
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: so I was like the cool kid. I was like, finally,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: I want to go back in time and come to
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: your high school at him. Oh, I get that a lot, Sarah.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: You do plays. I mean I know you were a
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: kid actor, you were working, But did you participate in
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: any school plays? I did. We actually did get to
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: do really pretty cool musicals at our high school. And
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: I was an Annie and they didn't They didn't seem
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: to mind that I was tone deaf unlike some other Yeah,
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: but you got rhythm though. You can dance. We've seen
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: you dance. All you're dancing turns very sexual quickly? Can
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: you dance in a non provocative manner? I can't do
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: the robot. That's a very non productive provocative That's true.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: That is true. Sarah always starts off. It's always like
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: and a robot, booty, booty booty. I've known Sarah for
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: twenty years, and when she starts dancing, it's about five
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: seconds before there's like acid like backing up in. Oops,
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: I dropped something that just comes from my like grade
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: twelve parent teacher. I mean, I'm grad parent of a
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: night where we all did babies go Back. It just
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: sort of like it just comes out of nowhere. Just
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: kind of feel like if Sarah had TikTok, Like if
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: we were all teenagers with TikTok, she'd be one of
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: those people doing like the provocative TikTok. She would be
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: doing the savage. She'd be like, I'm a savage snacky booty. Okay, okay.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: One of my favorites I was born at the wrong time, guys.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: One of my favorite things from the from the series
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: is the clip show where they do the entire runner
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: of all you guys dancing and different episode. I mean,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: everybody on that show. I don't remember that having we
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: did have a clip show. I've never seen the clip show,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: but I know we had one. I only know because
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: the thing that's great about a clip show is I
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: think you still get paid for an episode, but you
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: don't don't work you guys. They did a runner of dances,
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: they did a runner of like I think they did
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: a runner of um you crashing into things, and they
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: did I think they did a runner of Doctor Cox's
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: Insults too. I'm not sure, but they was. Yeah, it's funny. Well,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: Sarah and Donald did most of the dancing, because the
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: two of them are very very good dancers. I I'm
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: good at running into stuff and falling number stuff. I
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: wish I could sing. I loved it and I was
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: in musicals as a kid. My sister and I went
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: to UM a musical theater kind of school outside of school,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: and UM we auditioned for it and they called and
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: they said, to my sister, we love you and we
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: want you to be the lead. And they said, she said,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: what about Sarah And they were like, yeah, no, we
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: don't want her. And so she said, okay that I'm
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: not I'm not going to do it, and she hung
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: up and they called back five minutes later and they
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: were like, okay, we really want you, so we're gonna
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: take your little sister as well. So Natasha was the
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: lead and she was wearing this like turquoise shiny thing
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: with this long blonde hair. And I was one of
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: three tigers at the back that was wearing UM all black,
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: and I had a tiger mask and we were just
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: like in the background, kind of side to side with
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: our claws, didn't have any lines, and I was in heaven.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: I was like, I'm doing it. I wanted so badly
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: is that it gets to New York to see bullets
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: over Broadway when it was because I'm a huge fan.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: I'm a huge Scrubs fan. I just was And of
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: course my celebrity crush is Betsy Wolf. Wow. That's a
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: good celebrity crush to have. I know, I saw her
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: in the Last five Years and I me too a
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: second stage right, maybe we were there the same night.
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: Oh my god. You can listen to that album if
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: you like musicals. It's a wonderful show called Last five
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: Years and there's a recording of Betsy Wolf in it.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: Um I'm Bullets Were Away was one of the most
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: you know, I was a theater geek kid, as as
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: we're discussing, I went to theater camp and I did
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: plays out of college and off Broadway. But being in
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: a full blown, like big budget musical with a twenty
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: five piece orchestra, I literally my entrance was literally rising
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: through the stage playing a ukulele. It was such a surreal.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: It was like a total kid dream, fruition, bucket list
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: thing happened, and I want to do it again one day.
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: It was just it was just too much fun. Did
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: you ever mess up coming up on the stage when
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: you were coming up playing n get song? Did you
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: ever come ain't well? A couple of things. First of all,
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: if for most of you who didn't see the show,
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: the show is happening, and it begins with with with
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: another number and then I enter rising. So I would
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: go down underneath the stage before the show because I
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: was nervous as hell, and every show, no matter how
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: many we did, and I'd say loaded the conductor and
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: sort of waved to the orchestra because they were down there,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: and then I'd go over to where my lift was
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: and i'd sort of talked to the crew guys and
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: shoot the ship. And then a light goes on, which
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: means the lift is about to go. And I would
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: always get so nervous because you don't it's such a
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: crazy way to enter the stage. Most of the times,
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: in a normal budget world, you're just entering from the
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: wings of the stage. But here we are a big
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: budget musical show, and the light goes off and I'm
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: riding and I start rising, and then you just see
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: like twenty five hundred people watching you. And so of
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: course there were times when I would totally fuck up
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: the ukulele because I'm not a musician, but I learned
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: to play this one song on the ukulele. What I
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: later learned was there was a guy in the orchestra
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: pit who was also playing the ukulele and defending how
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: not how much I was sucking, they would kind of
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: bring up his mixer on environment, Like if I was
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: really fucking off that day, they would just bring up
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: the orchestra pit on ukulele. Oh that's amazing, Donald. Did
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: you ever do theater nice school? I did high school theater. Well,
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: not high school. I went to the professional children school.
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: So everybody that I went to school with was like
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: already on Broadway and doing shit like that, So we
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: didn't really have a theater at the school. But yeah,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: you know, when I graduated, I did shows with a
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: theater for a new audience. I did shows off off
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: off Broadway, Off Broadway, I did show There was a
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: I grew up in Hell's Kitchen, New York, and on
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: forty second between ninth and tenth Avenue, there was this
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: whole theater comp like this theater thing called Theater Row,
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: and it was a bunch of different Yeah, that was
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: there too, but it was a bunch of different, uh,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: play playhouses and stuff like that. It's no longer there
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: now there's like a building and stuff like that with
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: tenants and stuff. But I remember when I was a kid,
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: I'd be like, one day, I'm gonna do a show there.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: I wound up doing two shows there, you know what
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: I mean, Like it was. It's one of those things
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: where if you grew up in New York City like
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: I did, and you weren't doing plays, then you weren't
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: really trying to be an actor, because that was all
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: that was there, you know what I mean, that was
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: all you know. It was either that or it was
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: the one you might get lucky and get on a
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: New York undercover. But for that, they were like two
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: thousand people auditioning for one line, you know what I mean. So,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: uh yeah, did I do plays? I did quite a
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: few plays. I came up in a theater. My parents
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: were a part of the National Black Theater in Harlem,
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: and so instead of a babysitter, I used to have
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: to sit in the audience with, you know, while my
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: parents performed on stage. And I remember one of the
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: actors started complaining because, you know, put me in an
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: audience with a bunch of people. I'm part of the show. Now,
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: I don't give a fuck what you said, you know
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: what I mean. It started off, It started the first night,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: I was fine, But once it got to the point
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: where I was there every night, I was like, oh,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: I'm in this ship too, baby. I can't imagine you
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: was like sitting there quietly. That's not it was impossible.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: Like I would get involved, Like I would get up
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: out of my chair and help the actors, and you know,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: like at one point they would sit me down next
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: to one of the actors in the show and I'd
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: be having a conversation with the actor while the show
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: was going on. And one time he missed his queue
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: because he was fucking with me, and he got in
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: trouble for that shit. Like at that point, I knew
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: right then and there, And I was very young. I
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: was like five four or five. I knew right there
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: and now I was like, I'm going to be an actor, dude.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: This is this is If it wasn't four plays, I
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: wouldn't be an actor, you know what I mean. I
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: knew right then and there. This is the life I
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: want to live. I want to be able to do
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: this because one I have a lot of fun and
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: two this doesn't seem as hard as everybody says it is.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: And you know, well, I mean, in fairness to yourself,
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: it seemed that way to you because you had your
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: parents were doing it, you had a natural instinct for it.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: You know. It's well, of course his nature nurture you.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: You then nurtured that ability, but you obviously had it
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: in you as a child, right. Well. You know, some
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: people are I honestly believe that some people are born.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: Everybody's born to do what they do. Some people find
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: what they do later on, some people find what they
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: do early on. But you're born to do what you do,
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: you know what I mean, whether it is to be
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: an actor, whether it is to be a politician, whether
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: it is to be whatever. You're given a certain set
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: of skills. It just sound like Liam Neeson I have
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: a certain sort of skills. Some people are assassins, right
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: but no, But I feel like you're given a certain
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: set of skills and it's up to you to take
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: it as far as you want to go with it,
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Sometimes the gift that you
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: have isn't the gift that you want, you know what
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: I mean, And you have to come to grips with that,
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: and that's usually what happens. But for the most people,
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: some people aren't blessed enough to know what their passion
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: and thing is for a long time. I mean, you
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: were you were so blessed because it happened to be
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: the thing that your parents were exposing you too. I
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: was the same way. My father, you know, was doing
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: community theater as his hobby, and I kind of like
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: was like, this is a job you can have, Like
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: this is something you can do. But I mean, there's
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: so many people and I feel for them. I mean
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: I talked to college kids or getting out of college
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: and they still haven't found like their thing, and they
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: haven't they haven't dropped into something that excites them. And
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: so I always feel really really blessed and lucky that
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: I was, at a young age exposed to something that
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: so lit me up. Yeah, oh absolutely, man, And and
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: people like Adam, dude, you're you're if I have, I
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: have fond memories of all my drama teachers, fond memories
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: like there was Kurt, there was you know, uh, there
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: was uh mister oh Man, what was this dude's name?
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: There was Kurt, there was oh Man by my blank
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: and now. But I have fond memories of the people
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: that taught me how to be an actor, you know
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: what I mean, who I went to classes with, who
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: taught me through uh, whether it was a workshop or
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: a or a play that I did, Like, I've worked
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: with people that a lot of people people didn't have
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: the operation I worked with, like Elizabeth Swatos who recently
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: passed away, God Rest her soul and everything like that.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: But I worked with people that did Broadway shows that
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: were freaking iconic and stuff like that. And uh and
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: and I was looking at it as I need a
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: fucking job right now, and not looking at it as
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: I'm like, I could be learning so many great things
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: right now from these people. And so, Sarah, to answer
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: you a question, Yeah, I did a lot of theater
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: when I was growing up, but it was because I
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: really wanted to get the hell out of New York
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: City and be an actor in la um Adam. Do
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: you have a question for us? I do. I have
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: got a million of them, but I'll start with well,
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: pick one because we were running very long today because
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: you know, the Canadian is a little you know. So
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: my question is this, Uh. I my all time favorite
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: episode of Scrubs and probably my all time favorite episode
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: of any television. So it is the series eight finale,
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: which is just a perfect, perfect episode of television for
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: US fans for the way that it repped up Adam,
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: I wrote it. I wrote it, Adam, thank you. I
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: don't think that's first. It was interrupting film. It was
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: interrupting film. But my question is, you know what what
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: other shows I wanted to hear from all all of you.
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: What what other shows in your you know, in fandom
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: that you that you've enjoyed. Do you feel like the finale?
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: Absolutely first, I'll go first. I call first season in
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: the history of television. And as Donald's seemed to be
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: dissing me for early in the broadcast, I have watched
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: a lot of television, and in the history of television,
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: there is no contender for best series finale. Ever, don't
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: at me, don't do well, don't frown. Six Feet Under, Yeah,
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: there's applause. Dan, I'll turn your key. I will, I will.
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: I will turn my key, only because I've only seen
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: the last episode of Six Feet Under. No, are you serious?
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: Are you serious? I'm dead serious? That was a pretty
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: the only one, but they didn't see. I've learned the
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: same thing with Breaking Back. We learned that he only
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: watches finales. Yeah, I understand, and I know where it
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: came from, though, So check this out. Raiders of the
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: Lost Dark. When I first saw Raiders at the Lost Dark,
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: we walked into the theater at the very end when
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: he's coming down the stairs and he's like, those stupid fools,
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: they don't know what I what they got in there,
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: And then she turns around to him and says, well,
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: I know what I got here. Come on, let me
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: buy you a drink. And then they go off and
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: they leave, and then they show the arc being put
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: into this big ass hall. Right, that's the first scene
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: I saw from Raiders of the Lost Dark. Now, in
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: doing that, I still had no idea what the movie
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: was about, right, And so I went and watched the
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: whole movie, and then that scene comes up again, and
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: I was like, oh, so, knowing the ending didn't necessarily
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: hurt the story for me. So from that point on,
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: if the ending is dope, I'll go back and watch,
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: I'll go back and watch the rest of the show.
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: But if it's some lay mass ending, buck your show, okay,
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: but your your story doesn't really hold because you loved
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: both the Six Feet Under finale and then Breaking Bad
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: finale and never went back to watch any other episodes.
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: I was just too many episodes, too many episodes. Okay,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: I'm confused, but okay, um somebody else goes Six Feet
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: Under if you haven't watched, it as an incredible show
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: and the finale is just a masterpiece. Sarah, you want
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: to go, I want to go. Um I agree with you.
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: I thought Six Feet underd was bonkers. I feel like
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: The Office, both British and American versions had incredible finaleesum
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: er was a million years ago, but I remember thinking
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: that one was awesome. Um and and I I agree
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: with you, Adam. The Scrubs form Now was one of
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: my favorite Scrubs episodes that we got to do. It
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: was so cool for us to get to make that
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: episode because Bill had this really cool idea of having
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: every person who would ever guest start on the show
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: come back. So like that day, everybody was so emotional anyways,
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: because it was the last episode and then to have
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: every guest star and then Zach walks down that whole
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: way and we got to go down while you're filming
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: that scene and like just see everybody lined up from
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: the past eight years, and you know, there's a couple
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: of people that couldn't make it, but for the most part,
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: I mean all those people made an effort to get there,
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: and people flew in from New York and from wherever
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: they were living or shooting at the time, and it
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: was so special. It's very emotional. And I don't know
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: if you know the trivia, Adam, but it's but it's
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: Bill Lawrence playing le Janitor who pulls down the sheet.
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: You go okay, Joel, go ahead, favorite Sarah. Sarah changed it,
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: morphed it and started making five or six. So Joel
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: the game is when he says, best finale, what's the
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: thing that pops to your brain? Because that's what happened
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: to me with six feet under Boardwalk Empire Watch. I
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: think it's five seasons of it. It's so concise. In
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: the final scene, it's like heart like the whole thing.
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: The whole shows about being in the twenties. And right
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: at the very final scene, there's the introduction of like Nickelodeon,
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: which is an early movie thing that you could like
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: pay a nickel and watch a movie and it's like
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: very small or whatever, and it like totally changes the
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: game for this old cat who thought he would never
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: see anything new. And then there's a post and I
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: will tell you what it is. But no spoilers please.
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: It's so freaking good. Martin Scorsese produced it. It's like
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: mid two thousands. Martin Scorsese directed the pilot as well,
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: Yes he did. He should definitely such a good series.
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: But the finale is really good. I will give no
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: spoilers for six Feet Under finale other than to say
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: that you got to listen to the sea a song
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: breathe me because it's in my friend. Holy shit, is
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: that a great song? Okay, dan'l go um, the one
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: that instantly pop into my head as the Sopranos. Yes, okay. Now,
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: there was a lot of talk about people having interpretations.
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: Do you have your interpretation? I mean, I think that's
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: kind of the goal. That was the goal. I think
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: it was David Chase, right, David Chase is yeah, so
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: David Chase, that's what he wanted to have happened, kind
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: of with the ending of Lala Land, with the twist
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: top at inception. You want to defy the convention of
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: putting a very concise, nice bow on and allow people
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: to keep the story just in their heads for so long.
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: And I'm certainly of the people who think, again, no spoilers,
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: but I think the ending is relatively clear. I think
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: we all know what happened, but I like that that
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: is left to left to the imagination. And I will
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: also never forget watching the finale with my father being downstairs.
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: We were both just like gripping the couch, counting down
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: the minutes, being like, this show is going to be
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: over shortly, this show's gonna be over shortly, like what's
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: going to happen? And then in those that final minute
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: of whatever the show is trying not to spoil or
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: both of us just like I think you can spoil
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: the I mean, yeah, I guess the ending doesn't happen,
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: but not just cut it just cuts, hard cut, don't stop,
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: hard cut for thirty seconds of just black screen, and
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: both of me my dad are just like, do the
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: cable go out? And then I love a hard cut
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: to black. Don't fade out your show? Love it? Yeah,
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: produce the whole thing. H No. I mean, I'm just
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: a sucker, whether it's whether it's theater or or or
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: or film and TV. I don't like a fade like
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: blackout or hardcuts of black like and that shit. U. Now,
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: I'm gonna be cynical and say the reason I think
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: he's alive is, uh, there's no way that they didn't
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: have plans to make films eventually. Unfortunately, James Gandelfini died
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: in real life. But I don't think there's any scenario
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: where they didn't daydream about making films. So I'm just
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: I'm just gonna throw that out there. I totally can't
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: tell you something. I totally accept that as a like,
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: but you know how it really goes kind of studio
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: thing like with um when people were talking about Avengers
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: and how like are they really dead? Like are they
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: really gone? People like, no, they're not gone. They have
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: more movie deals like obviously Spider Man's not gone. Blah
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: blah blah. I mean, you know, obviously that changes now
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: too because of you know, you know, r I P. Chadwick.
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: But like, I think it's very reasonable to look at
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: that and say, you think they were really going to
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: end the show there. You think they were really going
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: to end it there, whether or not the movie deals
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: coming afterwards would have been prequels or whatever, blah blah blah.
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: I think that's totally fair. But I still love that
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: finale for this exact reason that we're talking about it
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: all right, Donald, you're up. I'm embarrassed by my shows
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: because you guys, don't you guys, I don't watch the
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: same type of television shows you watch. But my favorite,
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: my favorite finale so far. Wow, in television shows, that's tough.
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: That's tough for me. I'm sorry. Uh, you can could
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: be sports like the last game of the Knicks. I'll
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: tell you what. In terms of television moments, those are
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: some of the greatest of all time. Any like, yeah,
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: any any any last second seven buzzer beaters are just like,
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: you can't be that particular game seven buzzer beater you like, Donald, No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: I I you know, I'm one of those cats who
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: is really heavily into a certain genre. And so I'm
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: sure my favorite episode finale has got to be like
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: the Rebels. For the Rebels finale was pretty dope actually,
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: And yeah, Joel agrees, you gotta woo and uh now
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: that Clone Wars has come to a finale, I like
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: that finale. That was pretty good too. Uh, But yeah,
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: you don't have to be embarrassed that it's animation. You
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: seem like you you're like, well, you guys are all
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: sitting here like you guys just sitting here like six
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: feet on and the Sopranos and oh god, Boardwalk Empire.
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: Oh and let me tell you something that's Scrubs finale.
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: And then I come up and I'm like the rated
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: for teenest shows. Well, you don't want you You've said
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: you don't watch so much narrative TV. So there you go.
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: There's I don't. I don't. All right, it's time for
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: America and Canada's favorite segments. Sarah, you haven't participated in
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: this yet, so we're really gonna need you to represent.
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: You're gonna need to represent your nation. It's time too.
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: It's your life, all right, Adam. We've helped a lot
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: of people here. Um, and by a lot we mean
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: no one, but anyway, I have helped people people, Um, no, no,
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: but I but I have heard you know what I
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: have heard. I've heard people say on my social media, Um,
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: hey that advice you gave so and so actually really
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: helped me with something like the white board stuff or
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: our stuff of trying to lose weight, or even even
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: helping um last week's last episode's guy with issue with
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: his kids. So I don't, I don't know, maybe not,
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: but this goes to so many people across the world.
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: I like to think that something we say might register
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: with a few people and they go, oh, maybe I
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: will try that. So Adam, Adam, you're robbing. Okay. So
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: the you know, the last six months have been crazy
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: for everybody. And you know, I had two really fantastic
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: jobs in the arts. I was so lucky to do
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: exactly what I want to do, and you know, I've
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: got a great wife and three little boys and just
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: everything is you know, great, and then the pandemic hits
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: and the theater that I work at shut down, and
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: my classroom is gone, and I'm doing it online and
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: all of my little boys are doing their schooling online,
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: and it's just, you know, I'm in perfectly good headspace.
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: You know. I know there's people suffering a lot more
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: than me who are not getting paid or who are
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: not you know, uh, they have you know, they have
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: severe mental health issues because of this. But what but
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: it is very tough and I've never in my life
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: kind of experienced these moments of like, oh my gosh,
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: I can't you know, keep it together. What is what
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: is anybody's advice for just staying saying with the country
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: being where it is right now and uh, no end
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: in sight. How old are your boys? I have three
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: of nine, the my oldest just turned nine, and I
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: have a five year old and a three year old. Wow,
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: you guys have your hands full. I mean to be
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: at home all day. Everybody's home, yep. Sarah, do you
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: have any advice for um? What do you? What do
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: you do? I think the best name of advice is
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: to say what works for you. So, Sarah, you've been
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: in a very similar situation she for a while and
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: if you're still doing it. She was cohabitating with her
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: sister and their kids. So how do you stay seeing
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: Sarah with all the mayhem of co and having to
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: help your kids with homeschooling and all that. Well, I
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know if you would say I'm
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: staying sane. I mean, I just cut my own hair
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: with my scissors that arrived in the mail, So that's debatable.
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: But I think I think the best advice I was given,
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: and it's really hard to take. The advice is just
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: take it day by day, because I that you can
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: do that's totally doable. It's when you go, like I
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: find myself bargain hills. I went, oh, yeah, I can
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: fully do this for six months. Okay, okay, fine, fine,
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: I can do it for a year, but just not
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: too okay, two years, but that's fucking it, not a
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: day more. And so I think, like, if there's a
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: way to try and find ways to stay in the
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: moment in the day, only what's in front of you
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: that has helped. I think, like especially with kids. I
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: mean we I have a ten year old and a
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: four year old and I am officially homeschooling them, which
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: is brand spank and new. I've never done that before,
- 1:39:54Speaker 1: and we made the decision to do that. The schools
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: haven't have opened up here now, but we're keeping them home, um,
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: so that everyone can stay safe and healthy. And so
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: one thing that, um we found that's really cool that
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: someone recommended to me is something called outschool dot com
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: And you can go on there and do like anything
- 1:40:12Speaker 1: your kids are interested in, like if you just need
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: a break. It's like sign language class, or like sketching
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: DC or a debate class where you debate like Marvel
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: versus DC characters. Um. And so we're doing that. Another
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: thing we're doing is trying to like farm out a
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: few things. So like, you know, have my uncle portal
- 1:40:29Speaker 1: in and do a class on something. Um, I can
- 1:40:32Speaker 1: come in and teach a class on something, Sarah. Yeah,
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: I'm you're just you're gonna be doing that. Yeah, I'm
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: taking hit me. I'm hitting up on that now. And
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: Danel and Joel and Donald I'm an eating class. Also,
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna rest. I'm
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: gonna respectfully decline and say, I don't I know you do,
- 1:40:51Speaker 1: but Donald, you need to teach us to stop motion animation.
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: Your stuff amazing. I appreciate that. I appreciate that, but
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna respectfully decline. I don't want to teach nobody
- 1:41:00Speaker 1: else's kids but my own right now. I shouldn't. I
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: shouldn't be have to teach my own kids right now,
- 1:41:04Speaker 1: to be honest with you, but I'm helping with them. Well,
- 1:41:06Speaker 1: I'm just you know what I want to Why don't
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: you Why don't you go and say, first of all,
- 1:41:11Speaker 1: first of all, I want to give a shout out
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: to all the teachers out there to be and all
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: with all respect and all kidding aside, let's give a
- 1:41:19Speaker 1: shout out to all the teachers out there who are
- 1:41:20Speaker 1: actually teaching their kids online and teaching their kids. The
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: teachers that are actually going into schools and teaching there
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: and teaching students there too, Let's give a shout out
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: to them, because you're absolutely right. You are on the
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: front lines and you are doing work that is very important.
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: You are teaching tomorrow's leaders, and you're doing it with
- 1:41:40Speaker 1: a fucking really bad handicap, you know what I mean.
- 1:41:43Speaker 1: And so shout out to all of you out there
- 1:41:45Speaker 1: who are doing it. Um, what are we doing to
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: stay safe? And I mean to stay sane, to stay
- 1:41:52Speaker 1: sane one stay safe to Uh, that's really difficult, you know.
- 1:41:58Speaker 1: Living We live in the vall and in the Sherman
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: Oaks area, and you know, Los Angeles was hit really
- 1:42:07Speaker 1: hard with COVID, and you know, for a really long time,
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: I kept the kids inside and all we did was
- 1:42:12Speaker 1: watch television and stuff like that, and that really wasn't
- 1:42:16Speaker 1: that wasn't an ideal thing for us to do. But
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: recently we've found ways to go to parks. We've potted
- 1:42:23Speaker 1: with a couple of families so the kids have friends
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: to go play with and stuff and Uh. The way
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: for us to stay safe is try to be as
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: normal as possible in these abnormal times without crossing the
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: line and being uh and and and and not being safe.
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: So that's how. For example, I see you know on
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: your Instagram, you got your kids into golf, um, which
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: is something you like and they like. So that's like
- 1:42:50Speaker 1: a thing you can do outside of the house together
- 1:42:53Speaker 1: as a group. That's fun for everybody. That's something you
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: do right right. Well, yeah, I mean there are very
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: few sports that you can do where they there's no
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: contact or your or the or or you can socially distance.
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: And so as a family, yeah, we got into golf.
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: We go over to Zach's house when he's not home
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: and we swim, you know what I mean. But it's tough, Adam.
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest with you, man. This is a
- 1:43:16Speaker 1: This is one of those things where it's like where
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: you can find your happiness and where you can find
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: your joy. You grab onto it and you freaking hold
- 1:43:23Speaker 1: it tight and you and you and you live in
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: that space until this is over. Because it's not like
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: that we can go outside and just do whatever the
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: heck we want right now. That's not something we can do.
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: I like, think you didn't curse because he's a teacher.
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: That was really cute, my respected coming. Yeah, he was like,
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: first of all, when do you ever not curse? But
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: because he's like a high school teacher, like heck, heck, um,
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna Adam, I'm gonna say something that might be tricky,
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: tricky for you because you have kids and um, and
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: that is that meditation has really helped me. Um. There's
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: a lot of different apps that are out there. I'm
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: just gonna shout out heads space because that's the one
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: that's worked for me. And if you're listening and you go,
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: I'm not gonna fucking meditate, what the hell is he
- 1:44:06Speaker 1: talking about? I guarantee you that if you all you
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: need to do is find twenty minutes. They actually even
- 1:44:14Speaker 1: have shorter ones if you can only find ten or fifteen.
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: But I think twenty minutes is what I've noticed. I
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: get the most out of it. So I know, out
- 1:44:21Speaker 1: of my respect, I don't have kids. I know it's tricky,
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: but if you can have your wife take over for
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: twenty minutes and you go hide, even in your car, wherever,
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: you can get your bedroom, wherever, you can be and
- 1:44:30Speaker 1: just sit and listen to this app and they have
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: different programs. It can be for anxiety, it can be
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: for insomnia, it can be for relationships. They have like
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: the theme theme packs, and I have found when I
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: do that every day twenty minutes in the morning, it
- 1:44:47Speaker 1: really does keep my anxiety and my stress levels lower.
- 1:44:51Speaker 1: It's it's noticeable. And if you do try this, don't
- 1:44:54Speaker 1: go try it once and go, oh, my brain was
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: wandering all over the place. Fuck that thing. No, like anything,
- 1:44:59Speaker 1: it takes practice. It's like you're not gonna go and
- 1:45:01Speaker 1: try and play golf with day one and suck, and
- 1:45:03Speaker 1: it takes practice to but little by little your mind
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: does quiet and then ultimately you're kind of sitting there
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: and of course it wanders a little bit, but you
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: bring it back and you focus on your breath and
- 1:45:14Speaker 1: it's it's it's made a noticeable difference in my life.
- 1:45:18Speaker 1: So there you go. You're welcome, Adam, You're welcome, Adam,
- 1:45:22Speaker 1: You're welcome. Thunderous applause for us, Dan thunders applause, Adam,
- 1:45:27Speaker 1: thank you so much. Thank you for being an educator,
- 1:45:29Speaker 1: thank you for thank you for being there for young
- 1:45:33Speaker 1: people and for inspiring them. And I'm sure the kids
- 1:45:37Speaker 1: don't tell you enough, even though you might have nice kids.
- 1:45:39Speaker 1: But I hope the kids, I hope that you get
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: that you're making a difference in their lives. Well, if
- 1:45:44Speaker 1: I could say one more thing, I hope you guys
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: understand how important in your podcast is. I mean, I
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: I this came about almost right as covid started, as
- 1:45:53Speaker 1: you know, and I've started taking walks in the morning
- 1:45:56Speaker 1: before the kids are up, just to you know, get
- 1:45:58Speaker 1: a little bit of exercise and just to get out
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: of the house. And so I've been taking walks and
- 1:46:02Speaker 1: I listened to the podcast, and I never really understood
- 1:46:05Speaker 1: the expression that something brings a smile to your face.
- 1:46:08Speaker 1: I always thought it was kind of a metaphor. But
- 1:46:13Speaker 1: when your podcast comes on and that theme song kicks in,
- 1:46:16Speaker 1: and like a smile comes to my face, I don't
- 1:46:19Speaker 1: even realize that I wasn't smiling until it happens. It's
- 1:46:23Speaker 1: it's like Pavlov. It just it comes up and bam,
- 1:46:25Speaker 1: I'm smiling on my walk every single time. Entertainment is
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: our savior right now and makes so happy and you know,
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: e news, the very fancy entertainment station agrees with you.
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: I don't know if you said that you heard that
- 1:46:40Speaker 1: we were a very very popular podcast. Oh no, but
- 1:46:43Speaker 1: thank you. I have to confess to you that you know,
- 1:46:45Speaker 1: Donald and I and Joel and Dan, and we listen
- 1:46:48Speaker 1: to the episode back and make edits, and so I
- 1:46:50Speaker 1: sometimes listen to it while I'm walking my dog, and
- 1:46:52Speaker 1: I've seen people right on our social media is like,
- 1:46:56Speaker 1: oh my god, I'm laughing out loud so hard. People
- 1:46:58Speaker 1: are looking at me. And there's time where I'm listening
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: to the to our early version, the draft before we
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: edit it, and I'm walking my dog and I'm sitting
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: there fucking laughing out loud at us. And I know
- 1:47:08Speaker 1: that's shameless because I'm laughing at us, But anyway, it
- 1:47:11Speaker 1: makes me so happy to hear that it's making a
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: difference in people's lives. So thank you, Adam, and we're
- 1:47:16Speaker 1: going to let you go now, but thank you so
- 1:47:19Speaker 1: much for coming on the show. Thank you, bye, guys,
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: Thank you, thanks so much being well. Oh Joel, that
- 1:47:26Speaker 1: was such a wonderful guest in a different way because no,
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: he wasn't banging on a tarlet at a funeral. Good,
- 1:47:31Speaker 1: but he was a wonderful teacher who inspires the youth
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: of the youth, inspires the youth. Your musical Yeah, it's
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: really that's really cool. And the fact that he like
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: wrote the music to it and figured it all out
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: on the piano because I didn't exist, that's so cool.
- 1:47:46Speaker 1: Let's talk about first of all, Laddie the X ray
- 1:47:49Speaker 1: tech to the Caribbean. He's compared to the Caribbean. He's
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: the one that hangs out with the dude whose eye
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: keeps popping out. He's true. Yeah, it's true. When Sean Whalen, Joel,
- 1:48:01Speaker 1: will you double check out? Do you know where I
- 1:48:04Speaker 1: know Sean Whalen from? This is a really good piece
- 1:48:06Speaker 1: of trivia. Do you remember one of the best ads
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: of the of the last however many years when the
- 1:48:13Speaker 1: guys had too much peanut butter. And he's like they
- 1:48:17Speaker 1: call him from the radio show and he's got his
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: his his his room is surrounded with trivia and memorabilia
- 1:48:24Speaker 1: about Aaron Burr and and they and and and the
- 1:48:30Speaker 1: radio show is calling him and they go they go,
- 1:48:34Speaker 1: um for for one thousand dollars, who is the man
- 1:48:37Speaker 1: who shot Alexander Hamilton? And he was like his moment
- 1:48:41Speaker 1: to Sharne because he's like his whole life is dedicated
- 1:48:43Speaker 1: to Aaron Burr and he and he calls and he
- 1:48:46Speaker 1: just eat peb and they're like, we're sorry, sir, we're
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: gonna have to let you go anyway. Hilarious ad. You
- 1:48:54Speaker 1: can watch it on YouTube. That was Sean Whalen. Was
- 1:48:57Speaker 1: he also in Pirates? Um Joel, he's he's an all three. Yeah,
- 1:49:02Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure that's him, but it's sorry Sean Whyland
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: spelled different? W h a l een like a whale okay, Laddie.
- 1:49:14Speaker 1: And then of course the my machines, guy, My machines,
- 1:49:17Speaker 1: my machine. They used to play that over and over
- 1:49:20Speaker 1: and over again where on set man sound used to
- 1:49:24Speaker 1: play that these are my machines over and over. Yeah,
- 1:49:29Speaker 1: just like out of nowhere, these are my machines. Because
- 1:49:32Speaker 1: he says it's so good, like if you listen to
- 1:49:34Speaker 1: way the way he says it, it's a great read
- 1:49:37Speaker 1: of a yell that's not really like he's yelling, but
- 1:49:41Speaker 1: he's not, you know, out of control yelling. It's a
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: controlled yell like it's running Anyway, he loved it. He's
- 1:49:49Speaker 1: very funny and um and that was a funny bit
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: and then um, Sarah, I love the montage of you
- 1:49:56Speaker 1: getting you know, tearing your your your kitten post, your
- 1:49:59Speaker 1: off wall and then then putting your back up and
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: put it back up up, like I'll destroy my room,
- 1:50:10Speaker 1: but that's like one step too far. But not only
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: the cat poster back up, but you're destroyed it. You
- 1:50:16Speaker 1: like ripped it up and then you tape it with
- 1:50:17Speaker 1: like black duct tape and ship like put it back up.
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: I love it. That's like Elliot's room. Yeah, I know
- 1:50:25Speaker 1: your room was so bubble gummy, curly, I know, just
- 1:50:28Speaker 1: hugging a Teddy Bear. Where did you get the money
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: from the half all of that when your parents cut
- 1:50:33Speaker 1: you off and stuff. Remember, like all of a sudden,
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: I feel like that's from when they had me back
- 1:50:37Speaker 1: still on I was still on the That's like it's
- 1:50:40Speaker 1: like frozen in time. It's like Elliot's things from when
- 1:50:43Speaker 1: she was twelve, right, all of the all of the yeah, yeah,
- 1:50:46Speaker 1: I guess she took all of her chatch keys from
- 1:50:48Speaker 1: her from her youth she got cut off. Well that
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: was that was really fun. And it's cut to Tom
- 1:50:54Speaker 1: petty American girl and m raised on promises Oh yeah,
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: I join nobody, finally get her hot sexy scrubs chick
- 1:51:07Speaker 1: entrance down the hallway, the classic from the feed up
- 1:51:10Speaker 1: Smoky smoke SloMo um, and then um, how about alone?
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: I thought. Another funny thing they made me laugh was
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: when um, when everyone's you know, everyone's kind of just
- 1:51:22Speaker 1: doing their own thing because they can tell when Kelsel
- 1:51:24Speaker 1: is coming because it was nose squeak and and now
- 1:51:27Speaker 1: now Cox is fixed the nose squeak, but they don't know,
- 1:51:30Speaker 1: and they cut to everyone just being lazy, and the
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: janitor is giving a lomo on the I didn't know
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: until this moment that the janitor and and Uh and
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: Nurse Roberts were close enough her choppy chop, or when
- 1:51:54Speaker 1: Alma says to me, I'm going for advice and she goes,
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: it's also because you're very white. She goes, why do
- 1:52:00Speaker 1: you call me marshmallows it because I'm solved and sensitive
- 1:52:03Speaker 1: or something. She goes, sure, it's also because you're very white. Um,
- 1:52:11Speaker 1: And then Shan comes in at the end, Oh heartbreaking,
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: and you're like, damn, damn, I didn't I didn't see,
- 1:52:23Speaker 1: like I didn't see. I'm at the point now where
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: I don't see j D and Elliott getting together though
- 1:52:30Speaker 1: on the show, even though I know what happens at
- 1:52:32Speaker 1: the end. It feels like at this point in the
- 1:52:35Speaker 1: show that the two of them getting together isn't isn't
- 1:52:38Speaker 1: the possibility. They don't, They don't. They're not on the
- 1:52:41Speaker 1: same page anymore. So at the end when Sean when
- 1:52:43Speaker 1: he says to her, you look beautiful, and then Sean
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: steps out, I didn't see that coming. I didn't see
- 1:52:50Speaker 1: JD reacting to her the way he reacted, and I
- 1:52:54Speaker 1: knew Sean would come back, but I didn't see that happening. Well.
- 1:52:57Speaker 1: I mean, it's interesting because not only is JD attracted
- 1:53:00Speaker 1: to Elliott a new obviously because she's done, she looks
- 1:53:03Speaker 1: great and she's done this makeover, but it's also because
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: he's he's turned on by seeing her be a badass.
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: She's so finally fucking being tough and standing up for herself,
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: and he's like, holy shit, this is this is this
- 1:53:13Speaker 1: is a new woman. Who's this woman? I'm intrigued. Then
- 1:53:16Speaker 1: all of a sudden, fucking Scott Foley, nobody cares sweater, Yeah,
- 1:53:22Speaker 1: when did nobody cares? Shan come in? It's in his
- 1:53:25Speaker 1: first episode that he's nobody cares when we're at this. Yeah,
- 1:53:29Speaker 1: is that when we're at the uh? Where? Where where
- 1:53:33Speaker 1: are we? When you say that? No, it's his very
- 1:53:35Speaker 1: first episode. He's in Nobody. I forgot when by do
- 1:53:39Speaker 1: we just to clarify something? Um, the My Machines guy
- 1:53:43Speaker 1: is Lee Aharnberg. That's the guy who's in Pirates. Um.
- 1:53:46Speaker 1: I was talking about Sean Whalen and that's the Aaron
- 1:53:49Speaker 1: Burr commercial guy who plays Laddie who's a different X
- 1:53:53Speaker 1: ray tech. He's the one I lie on top of
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: naked because he wants to get an X ray That
- 1:53:58Speaker 1: looks like he's X ray to time. He's twin. That
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: guy is hilarious. He's in so many commercials. Yeah, yeah, yeah, everything. Yeah,
- 1:54:08Speaker 1: absolutely a lot of commercials. Okay, but Lee Ahronberg is
- 1:54:11Speaker 1: the one you're thinking of who's in Pirates. Another funny
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: moment is Johnny C when he's like with the prison
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: inmates and he's asking him to keep the photo of
- 1:54:18Speaker 1: his son. So rap But I never said, why is
- 1:54:21Speaker 1: Johnny showing people with pictures of his son? And why
- 1:54:24Speaker 1: would he not he bring the picture? He has it
- 1:54:27Speaker 1: out like he's he's showing every prisoner he's getting a
- 1:54:30Speaker 1: physical too, is his kid. I do have to say,
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: I got um goosebumps when when we finally figure out
- 1:54:38Speaker 1: that it's familial Mediterranean fever. Yeah, I'm such a sucker
- 1:54:42Speaker 1: for those moments where where we as young doctors go Eureka,
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: we got it, like we figured it out. Like, I mean,
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: it's funny I'm watching us, but I gave myself goosebumps.
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: I love the fact that doctor Cox takes the credit
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: for it at the end too. Yeah, yeah, says it
- 1:54:59Speaker 1: was all you guys. Yeah, right after he says that shit.
- 1:55:02Speaker 1: But yeah, I didn't understand. That's the one thing I
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: didn't understand the whole episode. He's telling you not to
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: rely on him, but he's relying on us the whole episode.
- 1:55:16Speaker 1: He's saying to us, don't rely on me. I'm not
- 1:55:19Speaker 1: going to be here for you all the time. Don't
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: rely on me. But he's relying on us to come
- 1:55:23Speaker 1: up with this diagnosis so that he can go into
- 1:55:26Speaker 1: the room at the end and take all of the
- 1:55:27Speaker 1: credit for it. Well, I think maybe that's sort of
- 1:55:30Speaker 1: what Bill's doing in the writing in season three, is
- 1:55:32Speaker 1: like it's gonna start being a tip for tat ying
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: Yang if you will, situation where there's gonna be times
- 1:55:38Speaker 1: where we're helping him look good and he's going, of course,
- 1:55:41Speaker 1: going to be saving our asses still and we're getting
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: we're getting a little more experience where we can become
- 1:55:46Speaker 1: a little more closer to being his peer. No, I
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: totally understand that, but it's just it was just it's
- 1:55:51Speaker 1: like a it's a great psych out because you know,
- 1:55:54Speaker 1: here you are thinking that we need this guy, we
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: need this guy to help us, we need this guy,
- 1:55:57Speaker 1: we need this guy, and at the end of the show,
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: we didn't need him at all. He actually needed us
- 1:56:02Speaker 1: so he could go tell these people the next day,
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: this is what's going on with your patient. This is
- 1:56:06Speaker 1: going on with my patient. You know what I mean. Uh,
- 1:56:09Speaker 1: I just thought I thought it was I just thought
- 1:56:12Speaker 1: it was That's a great I like I like fake
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: I like when shows do things like that, when it's
- 1:56:16Speaker 1: like you think that you know, the mentor is there
- 1:56:21Speaker 1: to support the obviously he's there to support the cast,
- 1:56:25Speaker 1: but really in the grand scheme of things, he doesn't
- 1:56:27Speaker 1: want to do it because he doesn't want to do
- 1:56:28Speaker 1: the paperwork. And I mean, not the paperwork. He doesn't
- 1:56:30Speaker 1: want to do the work that it takes to to
- 1:56:34Speaker 1: diagnose the patient. He just wants to credit at the end.
- 1:56:38Speaker 1: He doesn't have the time. I mean, he's got so
- 1:56:40Speaker 1: much on his plate, and he kind of, you know,
- 1:56:41Speaker 1: he's still keep in mind, he's still even though he's
- 1:56:43Speaker 1: aggressive and confrontational, he's still our teacher. So he's like,
- 1:56:47Speaker 1: you guys got to do the work. You guys got
- 1:56:49Speaker 1: to stay late and figure it out. And then of
- 1:56:51Speaker 1: course he he you know, gives them love good work.
- 1:56:54Speaker 1: That was a good get. And then he goes and
- 1:56:57Speaker 1: takes credit for it because that's him, you know, right,
- 1:56:59Speaker 1: because it's his and it is the big cheese. Did
- 1:57:01Speaker 1: we ever go? Do we ever recap that? Like? One
- 1:57:03Speaker 1: of the funniest parts of this show is when you
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: go in at the beginning and you're like, I know
- 1:57:06Speaker 1: everybody so well, I know what they're gonna say, and
- 1:57:07Speaker 1: then you're like replacing Donald's and twoties and and Johnny
- 1:57:11Speaker 1: sees dialoged you put your earbuds in. I love that part. Johnny,
- 1:57:16Speaker 1: thank you sir? What's that? Donald? You did a good Johnny,
- 1:57:18Speaker 1: You did a good Johnny. You honor me. I'm sorry
- 1:57:22Speaker 1: to steal Dan's what you're talking about willis again, but
- 1:57:24Speaker 1: I really like to take it. You honor me by
- 1:57:26Speaker 1: taking it. I'm gonna take it down. I won't use
- 1:57:29Speaker 1: it on the podcast that much, but I'm gonna start
- 1:57:30Speaker 1: using it in my real life because brother, I hope
- 1:57:32Speaker 1: you do. UM do I honor you by taking it
- 1:57:35Speaker 1: most certainly listen, you were deserving pec Donald and I
- 1:57:39Speaker 1: have a special announcement just so y'all know who are listening.
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: Because the DMVs are all closed and or I think
- 1:57:46Speaker 1: most of them are, a lot of them are, UM
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: and other reasons. Because of COVID, voter registration is very
- 1:57:52Speaker 1: far down, apparently over two million down from what it
- 1:57:56Speaker 1: normally is in a presidential year. So Donald and I
- 1:57:59Speaker 1: are teaming up with a cause called Headcount. Now what
- 1:58:03Speaker 1: I want you to do is want you when this
- 1:58:06Speaker 1: podcast is over, you can go to our social media
- 1:58:09Speaker 1: is where we will have links to this. But if
- 1:58:13Speaker 1: you don't want to go to social media or you're
- 1:58:14Speaker 1: not on social media, you can go to headcount dot
- 1:58:17Speaker 1: org backslash Zach and Donald. Now what's going to happen?
- 1:58:23Speaker 1: You are going to register or just check your registration.
- 1:58:29Speaker 1: If fifteen hundred of you do this, drum roll Dan,
- 1:58:34Speaker 1: a little drum roll there, I'll do it in my mouth.
- 1:58:36Speaker 1: Let me do it in my mouth and take this
- 1:58:44Speaker 1: action that is either registring for the first time. Sorry, sorry,
- 1:58:48Speaker 1: thank you, either registering for the first time, or just
- 1:58:52Speaker 1: checking that you are in fact registered because a lot
- 1:58:54Speaker 1: of people get purged every year. Fifteen hundred of you
- 1:58:57Speaker 1: do it, Donald and I will do a video where
- 1:59:00Speaker 1: we teach you how to make an apple tini. Y oh,
- 1:59:06Speaker 1: and then we will drink said apple tinis. You don't
- 1:59:09Speaker 1: even like Apple's that you didn't even like it. I
- 1:59:14Speaker 1: don't even like it. I don't mind vodka, but I
- 1:59:17Speaker 1: will drink them for America. Wait, hold up, I think
- 1:59:20Speaker 1: we should make a like a real apple tiny, though
- 1:59:23Speaker 1: not the generic where you get the freaking the puckers
- 1:59:27Speaker 1: and you just pour the puckers into the Theay what
- 1:59:30Speaker 1: you want to get gourmet? I want to I think
- 1:59:32Speaker 1: we should get freaking straight up mixologists on this bad boy. Well,
- 1:59:37Speaker 1: we have Flow who's a chef. She can help us
- 1:59:39Speaker 1: with that. Okay, she knows how to mix drinks too.
- 1:59:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah, does she ever? Let me tell you something,
- 1:59:44Speaker 1: you guys. I got inspired by Flow actually because she
- 1:59:48Speaker 1: did one of these. And she said to her followers
- 1:59:51Speaker 1: on Instant and Twitter, a five hundred of you register
- 1:59:55Speaker 1: or check your registration, I'll cook a Sunday roast, which
- 1:59:58Speaker 1: is a big traditional British meal. She registered seventy five
- 2:00:03Speaker 1: hundred people. Damn what, and you guys, I'm competitive and
- 2:00:07Speaker 1: I need you to help me beat my girlfriend. Okay,
- 2:00:10Speaker 1: so all Donald and I am asking is for fifteen hundred.
- 2:00:14Speaker 1: If it ends up being more than that, then that
- 2:00:16Speaker 1: will be great and we'll all feel wonderful about it.
- 2:00:18Speaker 1: This is nonpartisan, so don't get your panties in a bunch.
- 2:00:21Speaker 1: This is just trying to get people to register, okay,
- 2:00:24Speaker 1: and trying to tell people to vote. Right, don't get
- 2:00:26Speaker 1: don't get all political with this bullshit and be like,
- 2:00:29Speaker 1: you guys are so political. No, we just want you
- 2:00:31Speaker 1: to vote. We want you to vote, We want you
- 2:00:33Speaker 1: to vote. Seven Katy, It's just sc dude, it's your
- 2:00:36Speaker 1: American right. So no, now, okay, if you're listening to
- 2:00:40Speaker 1: this wherever you are, you're gonna either go to our
- 2:00:42Speaker 1: social media on Instagram or Twitter or Facebook if that's
- 2:00:45Speaker 1: easiest for you. If not, go to headcount dot org
- 2:00:49Speaker 1: backslash Zach and Donald. Don't do this somewhere else, because
- 2:00:53Speaker 1: we want credit for you checking your status or registering.
- 2:00:56Speaker 1: We want credit. I did it just now, super easy. Okay,
- 2:01:00Speaker 1: thank you, Daniel, We have one, Gotchad. We are a
- 2:01:04Speaker 1: halfway there. Well, no, we are, we are, We're not
- 2:01:08Speaker 1: on there. What's the address again, headcount dot org, backslash
- 2:01:15Speaker 1: Zach and Donald. Or if it's easier for you, go
- 2:01:18Speaker 1: to our social media's on Instagram. It'll be in our
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: bios on Twitter. I we'll both be tweeting it out
- 2:01:24Speaker 1: and please help us. UM beat Samuel Jackson did it.
- 2:01:28Speaker 1: We want to beat him too, Josh Gad just did it.
- 2:01:32Speaker 1: So we are going to teach you how to make
- 2:01:35Speaker 1: an apple teeny that's just the most perfect one. And
- 2:01:39Speaker 1: then he and I, because we're in the same pod
- 2:01:40Speaker 1: at this point, we can be together and share a cocktail. Okay,
- 2:01:44Speaker 1: we're going to share cock tails. It's sounded dirty, no matter, Look, dude,
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: we are going to share. Listen to me again. I'll
- 2:01:55Speaker 1: make it. I'll make it even more sexual. We are
- 2:01:57Speaker 1: going to share some cock tails. I am so much
- 2:02:08Speaker 1: excited to share some cock tails. I cannot wait to
- 2:02:17Speaker 1: just have some of your cock tales. All right, Sorry,
- 2:02:23Speaker 1: Joel's getting schemed out. You know you know what's gonna
- 2:02:26Speaker 1: you know it's gonna taste great going down my throat
- 2:02:31Speaker 1: your cock tail, Joel, I think they could just keep
- 2:02:39Speaker 1: doing this for another forty five minutes. I don't think
- 2:02:43Speaker 1: you are laughing, so don't tease. I don't I know
- 2:02:48Speaker 1: this episode nine and a half hours. We haven't saw
- 2:02:50Speaker 1: Happy Birthday to Joel yet. Oh. Also, it's Joel's birthday
- 2:02:54Speaker 1: is today next October one, so a week from yesterday. Okay,
- 2:02:58Speaker 1: and John, we have to talk about Wells present. And
- 2:03:00Speaker 1: also we never got Daniel the president, so we need
- 2:03:02Speaker 1: to stop that. No, I reminded myself when I was
- 2:03:06Speaker 1: looking online Wells Present. We can totally give them some
- 2:03:11Speaker 1: cock tail tale. How about? How about? I don't feel
- 2:03:17Speaker 1: comfortable making this joke with Joel, it's in approvent, but Dan,
- 2:03:20Speaker 1: I will give you so much cock tale. All right,
- 2:03:26Speaker 1: we gotta go. We love you, everybody, Please do the
- 2:03:29Speaker 1: head count thing. I want to crush everyone. I want
- 2:03:31Speaker 1: Sam Jackson to say to his publicist, holy shit, Sam
- 2:03:35Speaker 1: Taxans say robbers, holy shit, you all these motherfucker's. Okay,
- 2:03:40Speaker 1: good head Count Slow did seventy five. I'm sure it's
- 2:03:46Speaker 1: higher than that, but I would love to be able
- 2:03:47Speaker 1: to say, ha ha flow we did seven five oh one.
- 2:03:50Speaker 1: But I'm not aiming that high. That's that's that's that
- 2:03:52Speaker 1: might be too high. But let's all I want for
- 2:03:54Speaker 1: now is fifteen You get the prize of the video
- 2:03:57Speaker 1: of cocktails. If you do fifty fifteen hundred of you
- 2:04:00Speaker 1: a registration or register for the first time. Come on, everybody,
- 2:04:03Speaker 1: I want to do it. I want to try and
- 2:04:04Speaker 1: do my Sam Jackson one more time. How did these
- 2:04:08Speaker 1: motherfucker's beat me? No better? Yes? Yes, I like No,
- 2:04:13Speaker 1: I'm not kach. I just don't dig on swine. This

- 2:04:46Speaker 1: I respect mm hmmm
