- 1:04Ariana, welcome to host Planet Bite Size.
- 1:06Thank you so much for joining us.
- 1:07You're going to share. Five reasons why hosts should
- 1:10provide a welcome hamper for guests so.
- 1:14Take it away with reason #1. First of all, the profit we
- 1:20They're a convenient small hamper size box containing
- 1:25useful store covered essentials. They're high quality items, they
- 1:31are all come in handy stay appropriate sizes so these boxes
- 1:36can be pre-ordered, promoted ahead of cooking and or you can
- 1:42sign up to the affiliate program and you can just sit back and
- 1:45and earn profit. It provides A practical and
- 1:48unique solution for guests before they come and it's always
- 1:52much appreciated. So yeah, if it's advertised on
- 1:55the host website, you can just promote it and yeah, earn while
- 2:01you earn one when they book. Fantastic.
- 2:03Yeah, so. Earn a bit.
- 2:05Of extra profit. So reason #2.
- 2:09An enhanced guest experience, I would say so it provides the
- 2:12perfect touch of convenience for the guests when they arrive.
- 2:16It takes away the hassle of driving around lots of shops,
- 2:20buying all sorts of things in bulk that will be expensive and
- 2:24you'll probably never use again. It makes stay a little bit more
- 2:29memorable and it makes people feel cared for when they arrive.
- 2:32So it just makes it that that bit more special.
- 2:35So you can make all your meals will be half organized.
- 2:39You don't have to think about all the little extra bits that
- 2:41you may need you. Don't have to think about going
- 2:43to the supermarket when you arrive and all those things if
- 2:46the if the hamper is there. Absolutely, absolutely.
- 2:49And most of the miniatures that you get in the box you can't
- 2:52find in the supermarkets anyway, so they're sort of specialized
- 2:56items. Fantastic.
- 2:58Yeah, so we've got the increase in profits, enhancing the guest
- 3:03experience and hopefully leading to those five star reviews, of
- 3:06course. So reason #3.
- 3:09Is the convenience. I'm going to use the word
- 3:11convenience again. The boxes are delivered to
- 3:14either the guests before they leave or they can be delivered
- 3:17to the property. They're all ready assembled.
- 3:20So it's just that one thing less for everybody to think about
- 3:24before they before they travel. It saves time, it saves effort.
- 3:28And also there are three different boxes currently to
- 3:30choose from. So there is a breakfast box.
- 3:33So you've got a selection of all sort of different things that
- 3:35you could make for breakfast. And there is a family box, a
- 3:39Staples box, which has got all your basic essentials in, and
- 3:41then a family box, which is essentially just a bigger size
- 3:44for a family or sort of four to six people.
- 3:49And we're soon to start selling items individually as well.
- 3:52So if there's anything in the box that you may not want or
- 3:55need, because some people supply coffee, some don't.
- 3:58So you could take that out and just put in what you want.
- 4:02So yeah, very convenient for for the guests, of course.
- 4:06OK, then, Ariana reason #4. It's probably the wastage.
- 4:11So you again, I'm just saying about you'd have to buy what you
- 4:17would have at home. So it's a big bottle of oil or a
- 4:20big bottle of sauce. So it just saves time, it saves
- 4:24effort and it's the cost implication as well.
- 4:27And you don't have to. You either have to take it home
- 4:30if you buy these big bottles or leave it behind, which is also
- 4:33such a shame. So yeah, as I said, you can't,
- 4:37you can't get most of these in the supermarket anyway.
- 4:39So the perfect handy size to use once and then let go.
- 4:45OK, Right. Great.
- 4:46We are rattling through these. We've got extra profit then
- 4:49enhancing the guest experience. It's more convenient, reducing
- 4:54the amount of wastage. Final reason.
- 4:57It's probably the most important one actually.
- 4:59The final one from from my point of view is the health and safety
- 5:02perspective because you have less people handling bottles,
- 5:09containers, and also when you open things, bottles, packets,
- 5:14you don't know how long. Sometimes you find things in
- 5:17cupboards where you visit and then you don't know how long
- 5:19they've been open, You don't know how safe they are.
- 5:22So from a sort of cleaning perspective, you haven't had
- 5:26multiple pairs of hands touching all these bottles and
- 5:29containers. It lowers the risk of foodborne
- 5:33illnesses as well if you're not touching, opening, sharing all
- 5:37those things. And it's also much more hygienic
- 5:40in smaller spaces. If you don't have a huge cooking
- 5:44area, they're obviously only very small.
- 5:48So it's just a one use recycle, that's it.
- 5:52Well, a couple of uses, depending obviously how many
- 5:54people are visiting. Fantastic.
- 5:57So tell us a little bit more than about.
- 5:59The Travellers Pantry. How you guys got started and
- 6:03and? The products.
- 6:03That you. Offer So we, I mean a family of
- 6:08all, we all work in the food business and always have worked
- 6:11in the food business. So when the kids were young, we
- 6:15found travelling abroad quite difficult, quite hard work.
- 6:18So ended up travelling around the UK quite a lot, staying in
- 6:22sort of self catering cottages, that sort of thing.
- 6:26And the biggest challenge we found was was cooking.
- 6:30So we had to stay in because we had young children.
- 6:32Sometimes if you're just tied, you want to stay in and there
- 6:35was always stuff missing. It was always difficult to put
- 6:38something together. So through all our contacts in
- 6:42the food, well, we've managed to locate miniatures of all our
- 6:47favorite items that we would use in the kitchen.
- 6:49So we have some, we have a lovely Cotswold, Cotswold Gold,
- 6:53rapeseed oil, one of their dressings, Stoke sauces.
- 6:57So it has ketchup, Mayo, tartar, all the things you would need in
- 7:01really good sizes, not the sort of miniature ones.
- 7:05We've got some cereals, we've got jams, we've got cooking
- 7:08paste. So really, some really useful
- 7:10items in the box. And just tell us how this works
- 7:13from a. Host point of view.
- 7:16In relation to linking up with you and providing these hampers.
- 7:21So we probably through the affiliate programme, I would
- 7:24say, or a host could for example, buy a few boxes and put
- 7:31them as a, as a gesture of goodwill in, in a cottage or a
- 7:34kitchen or, or promote them on the website.
- 7:38So the the boxes could be sent direct to a host to put straight
- 7:42in the kitchen or if promoted, sent direct to the to the guest.
- 7:47Yeah. So there is the option to if you
- 7:49like, you can buy these and it's it is a welcome gift or it can
- 7:54be something that the. The guest.
- 7:56Actually orders themselves you can.
- 7:57This can be like an upselling thing.
- 7:59Yeah, entirely dependent on how a host would view it.
- 8:03So what what they would like to provide or not provide or offer.
- 8:08So either way could do it either way.
- 8:11Superb. OK then, so just tell us where
- 8:13people can find out more information about the Travellers
- 8:15Pantry? So probably best to hit our
- 8:18website, which is www.thetravellerspantry.co.uk.
- 8:23And we're also on Instagram and TikTok where we provide lots of
- 8:27recipe ideas as well. So we used the box, we used a
- 8:31lot of the items in the box ourselves quite often for making
- 8:36all sorts of meals, breakfast, lunches, soups, full full
- 8:40dinners, everything. So there's some ideas on there,
- 8:44lots of uses. Superb.
- 8:46OK then people check out the website and check out the social
- 8:50media channels for all the the recipes as well.
- 8:53Ariana, thank you so much for joining us and sharing details
- 8:56about the Travellers Pantry and about the the boxes.
