- 0:01Speaker 1: The following feature has been rated R by the Motion

- 0:06Speaker 2: It is intended for mature audiences and parental discretion is advised.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million kilowatts of power.
- 0:41Speaker 4: What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown. I am Brian.
- 0:43Speaker 4: This is Roger.
- 0:46Speaker 5: Marlena.
- 0:46Speaker 4: You're still, you know, more or less a regular crew member.
- 1:04Speaker 4: We do have a few additions today just to sort
- 1:07Speaker 4: of mix things up and throw a curveball in the
- 1:09Speaker 4: middle of this. So, Roger, you introduce the first one.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Special guest star, Joni. Hi! All right. And we also
- 1:19Speaker 4: have special guest who has performed our theme song live
- 1:23Speaker 4: earlier today, Eddie.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Who, if you listened a really long time, actually was
- 1:27Speaker 4: on with us last year at the Petersville Car Show.
- 1:31Speaker 4: It's an anniversary. Yes, it's special, isn't it? Mm-hmm. So, yeah,
- 1:36Speaker 4: I was going to see if you wanted to just,
- 1:38Speaker 4: you know, perform it live right here in front of
- 1:40Speaker 4: the mic, but.
- 1:41Speaker 6: No.
- 1:42Speaker 7: No.
- 1:42Speaker 4: I already played that one. Not a chance. No beatbox
- 1:46Speaker 4: version or anything? Oh, please, no.
- 1:48Speaker 8: Not that that would cheapen the show. I think maybe
- 1:50Speaker 8: that would actually earn us points, but.
- 1:51Speaker 4: I don't think you can cheapen our show. No, you're right.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Sounds fun.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Yeah. If someone please beatbox the Imperial March and send
- 1:59Speaker 4: it in to us, because that's what I'm looking for
- 2:01Speaker 4: at this point. Do it good, though. I don't want
- 2:05Speaker 4: to crap you. We've got a dude that's working on
- 2:09Speaker 4: a remix of it. You were telling me, yeah. If
- 2:12Speaker 4: you've got a full version of it, send it over.
- 2:15Speaker 4: We'll round out one of the upcoming shows with the
- 2:18Speaker 4: entire song. Because you kind of just get a snippet
- 2:20Speaker 4: in our little intro there. We will be glad to
- 2:23Speaker 4: roll out the full version of the new fancy remix.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Like the club mix. Nice. Straight house. House mix. Quiver
- 2:32Speaker 4: and 12-inch. Wow.
- 2:35Speaker 9: Get in play.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Okay.
- 2:37Speaker 8: Nice house party.
- 2:39Speaker 4: Word. All right.
- 2:41Speaker 8: And we're recording in a sauna today.
- 2:43Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:44Speaker 4: It is nice and toasty as it always seems to be.
- 2:47Speaker 4: It's just that moist, like, heat. Oh. Some people know
- 2:53Speaker 4: it's the sweat dripping. That's what it is. It picks
- 2:55Speaker 4: up on the way. If you can hear that. Yeah. Well,
- 2:59Speaker 4: that sort of ties into our geek activities, because today,
- 3:02Speaker 4: at least, you know, three-fifths of us here, we're at
- 3:05Speaker 4: the Petersville Car and Bike Show. Yay! So, do we
- 3:08Speaker 4: want to relive all the glory of that? No. There's not.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Was there any glory? That's not a plug for Petersville
- 3:16Speaker 4: at all.
- 3:18Speaker 2: It was fun.
- 3:19Speaker 4: It was quite entertaining.
- 3:20Speaker 9: It was really hot outside.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Yes, it was ridiculously hot, and then it rained, like,
- 3:25Speaker 4: it opened up the floodgates and.
- 3:27Speaker 7: Poured for, like, 10, 15 minutes, and then it stopped again,
- 3:30Speaker 7: so that was weird. Some of the bands were really good.
- 3:34Speaker 7: I think all I listened to was you. Well, I
- 3:36Speaker 7: got distracted.
- 3:37Speaker 9: I don't know who it was that was playing, but
- 3:40Speaker 9: when Andrew and I were inside, there was a band,
- 3:44Speaker 9: and it was a three-piece, and no offense to this guy,
- 3:47Speaker 9: because they were pretty good, but The guy on the
- 3:50Speaker 9: bass made the worst retard faces I've ever seen in
- 3:54Speaker 9: my life.
- 3:54Speaker 4: That's what bassists do, though.
- 3:56Speaker 8: Was he feeling the rock star?
- 3:58Speaker 9: No, it wasn't even like that. It wasn't even like that.
- 4:00Speaker 9: I really wish this was a show that you could
- 4:03Speaker 9: visually see this sometimes. But it was, for all of
- 4:07Speaker 9: you guys at.
- 4:07Speaker 2: The table, it was like.
- 4:09Speaker 8: oh nice yeah nice he just looks like a having
- 4:12Speaker 8: seizures like like.
- 4:13Speaker 9: A total retard like not even like slang version.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Some of those are like.
- 4:18Speaker 9: But like a legitimate like a real retard.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Yeah some of those are the weird faces bart used
- 4:22Speaker 4: to make on the sense.
- 4:25Speaker 9: But you know i i kind of hate to say
- 4:27Speaker 9: this but If a band doesn't have any more, I
- 4:30Speaker 9: don't know what it is. If a band doesn't have
- 4:32Speaker 9: at least a banjo, if not an accordion, I just
- 4:34Speaker 9: get bored of them really fast.
- 4:35Speaker 5: Really?
- 4:36Speaker 9: I don't know why.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Accordions are always awesome.
- 4:39Speaker 2: I know, right?
- 4:39Speaker 8: Because I know it seems like rare to find people
- 4:41Speaker 8: that play accordions, and whenever someone busts it out, it's like, oh, right.
- 4:45Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 4:45Speaker 4: All right. You better start learning to play the accordion.
- 4:48Speaker 9: Or even like a xylophone or a tin whistle.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Right?
- 4:51Speaker 9: There's not this in a band I just like lose interest.
- 4:53Speaker 9: It's just this phase of going through where I only
- 4:56Speaker 9: want to listen to like... polka inspired music or like
- 5:00Speaker 9: bluegrass but not really bluegrass more like bluegrass that used
- 5:04Speaker 9: to be like a metal band and now they play
- 5:06Speaker 9: bluegrass i don't.
- 5:07Speaker 8: Know that's just genre i'm really i'm sure it is
- 5:11Speaker 8: at this point 357 string band i love nice yeah
- 5:14Speaker 8: i've only said them well that's like torres is really
- 5:17Speaker 8: good for xylophones and accordions and melodicas weird things and
- 5:22Speaker 8: like I was.
- 5:23Speaker 9: Listening to Devil Makes Three earlier. It was like a
- 5:26Speaker 9: live CD, and someone was like.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Play Slayer!
- 5:29Speaker 9: And they actually played the first three chords of Rain
- 5:31Speaker 9: and Blood, and I was way excited.
- 5:34Speaker 6: 357 does a little medley with Skulls and a bunch
- 5:39Speaker 6: of other songs in it.
- 5:40Speaker 4: I think they cover some Black Flag. That's awesome. That's amazing.
- 5:43Speaker 9: Yeah, I've been listening to 357 String Band on my
- 5:47Speaker 9: Rhapsody account. Rhapsody is awesome, not that I'm getting paid,
- 5:50Speaker 9: but when it doesn't crash or delay on iPhone, it's
- 5:54Speaker 9: pretty cool to be able to get almost everything that
- 5:57Speaker 9: you want.
- 5:57Speaker 4: I think we're on Rhapsody. Really?
- 6:01Speaker 9: Plug.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Shameless plug. Plug for the Empire.
- 6:04Speaker 9: I'll look you up right this time.
- 6:05Speaker 6: And actually, I'll just go ahead and put another shameless
- 6:08Speaker 6: plug in there.
- 6:09Speaker 4: Feel free to. We're getting ready to go out on
- 6:12Speaker 4: an album tour.
- 6:13Speaker 6: Um in a week but um that album's actually already
- 6:17Speaker 6: available online on um itunes and amazon all that stuff
- 6:22Speaker 6: and what is the name of.
- 6:23Speaker 8: Your band if i was wondering somehow didn't know who
- 6:25Speaker 8: you were.
- 6:25Speaker 6: It's the empires yes yeah that's right i need a
- 6:29Speaker 6: little direction every.
- 6:30Speaker 9: Now and then you just crashed.
- 6:32Speaker 4: You know just go out Pick up our album. Are
- 6:36Speaker 4: you available online at certain places or not? Yeah, we
- 6:40Speaker 4: got a MySpace, unfortunately. Yeah, never mind.
- 6:43Speaker 6: It's Backspace, TH Empires, and then we've got like a
- 6:49Speaker 6: Facebook fan page or whatever.
- 6:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:53Speaker 6: I'm trying to get something official up online because I
- 6:57Speaker 6: don't like really either format.
- 6:59Speaker 4: Yeah, it's... I don't know. There's not a lot of options.
- 7:03Speaker 4: It's hard to do a page all to yourself, and
- 7:06Speaker 4: then MySpace is kind of dying. Yeah. It's not popular anymore, so. No. Well,
- 7:12Speaker 4: it was also a mess to start out with. Oh, yeah.
- 7:14Speaker 4: It never, like. It came together pretty nice. I mean,
- 7:18Speaker 4: there was a window of, you know, a year and
- 7:20Speaker 4: a half or so that, like, everybody was on there,
- 7:22Speaker 4: and there weren't all these other options, and it had
- 7:24Speaker 4: a lot of, like, cool stuff that you could do
- 7:26Speaker 4: on there. So, I mean, there was a time when
- 7:28Speaker 4: it was kind of, it had reason to be, you know,
- 7:30Speaker 4: at the top of the heap, and then Facebook annihilated it. So,
- 7:33Speaker 4: you know, what are you going to do?
- 7:34Speaker 8: Well, and now, and I can't freaking stand hearing it.
- 7:38Speaker 4: Tweet.
- 7:39Speaker 8: I don't want to hear, oh, tweet this or tweet it.
- 7:41Speaker 8: It just sounds so freaking gay I can't stand it.
- 7:44Speaker 4: I hate it. I think we were tweeting earlier. I'm
- 7:47Speaker 4: tweeting right now. He's been tweeting as the show goes on.
- 7:50Speaker 4: Tweeting in my pants. We warned you about that.
- 7:55Speaker 2: That's what I tried.
- 7:56Speaker 4: It didn't work.
- 7:57Speaker 8: Well, was there anything else at Beersville that was awesome?
- 8:01Speaker 9: No.
- 8:03Speaker 8: You showed the Mad Max bike to us.
- 8:05Speaker 4: The Mad Max bike. That was pretty awesome. It was
- 8:07Speaker 4: my favorite.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:08Speaker 6: It was cool.
- 8:09Speaker 4: But, yeah, that's pretty much all I've done this week.
- 8:12Speaker 4: The only other thing geek-wise I guess I sort of did,
- 8:15Speaker 4: I did watch, actually this morning, I attempted to watch
- 8:18Speaker 4: several movies and just went to sleep like I usually do.
- 8:20Speaker 4: So the only one I actually watched was earlier today,
- 8:22Speaker 4: The Gunfighter was on, which is a Gregory Peck movie
- 8:26Speaker 4: from 1950. Gunfighter, I've never heard of it. It's pretty
- 8:29Speaker 4: good if you like old westerns, but a modern audience
- 8:34Speaker 4: would probably have a lot of problems with it because
- 8:37Speaker 4: it's very slow-paced. There's not really action at all. There's
- 8:41Speaker 4: no gunfighting at all? Not much, really. Well, it is
- 8:45Speaker 4: built around his reputation, basically. He is this huge, well-known
- 8:50Speaker 4: name in the West. So every town he goes to,
- 8:53Speaker 4: there's a kid waiting to shoot him. There's old enemies
- 8:56Speaker 4: waiting for him. It's basically built on it. It's kind
- 8:59Speaker 4: of that same... story they've been using for years that
- 9:02Speaker 4: they came back to with, like, The Unforgiven and all
- 9:04Speaker 4: these other Westerns where it's, like, you know, the older
- 9:07Speaker 4: guy that wants to get out of the life, but
- 9:09Speaker 4: it's too late. Yeah, it follows you wherever you go. Yeah,
- 9:12Speaker 4: so it's one of those, but there really isn't a
- 9:14Speaker 4: whole lot of gunfights. There's not really a showdown. There's,
- 9:17Speaker 4: you know, people... Sounds terrible. People pull a gun here
- 9:19Speaker 4: and there, but no, it's more of, like, a character study, really.
- 9:22Speaker 4: And that's the selling point. Gregory Peck is pretty awesome,
- 9:24Speaker 4: and he's got, like, a really cool scene at the end.
- 9:26Speaker 4: So it's... If you like old Westerns, it's worth watching, but...
- 9:30Speaker 4: It's pretty much all I've watched this week. Anyone else?
- 9:33Speaker 4: Our geek activity kind of like....
- 9:37Speaker 8: That's a good segue of the Mad Max bike. We
- 9:38Speaker 8: actually watched the original Mad Max the other day. The
- 9:42Speaker 8: other day meaning, like, Tuesday?
- 9:43Speaker 4: Tuesday, yeah.
- 9:45Speaker 8: And, you know, it's always great. I know I've talked
- 9:47Speaker 8: about it before when I watched it, but it's just always,
- 9:49Speaker 8: it's a classic.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Yeah. It's freaking awesome.
- 9:53Speaker 8: And I wanted one of those T-shirts that just has
- 9:55Speaker 8: a picture of the V8 from the V8 Interceptor, and it.
- 9:58Speaker 4: Says, kick her in the gut. Barry. You know?
- 10:01Speaker 9: Nice.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Cross the V8s. But, yeah. The first one is so
- 10:05Speaker 4: weird comparatively. Because it's still such a... little independent australian
- 10:10Speaker 4: movie yeah like yeah you're lucky to figure out what
- 10:12Speaker 4: they're saying half the time and it's shot on such
- 10:15Speaker 4: a low budget compared to when you go watch the
- 10:17Speaker 4: road warrior it's like a huge amount of money thrown
- 10:20Speaker 4: at it so it's.
- 10:20Speaker 8: And some things don't make sense like is it is
- 10:23Speaker 8: is it post-apocalyptic at that point it never got if
- 10:26Speaker 8: that's when the world kind of crashed.
- 10:29Speaker 4: Because it seemed like, well, there's still... Maybe that's part
- 10:31Speaker 4: of the mystery. Yeah. There's still, like, cops, like, an establishment. Yes.
- 10:36Speaker 8: Before, I think, Humongous got his irradiation or whatever.
- 10:38Speaker 10: Oh, look, Humongous.
- 10:39Speaker 4: He's awesome.
- 10:40Speaker 8: I wish he was my dad.
- 10:41Speaker 9: Right? No.
- 10:43Speaker 4: Oh, hell no. But then we watched... American Werewolf in London. Yes.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Which is always another classic. It's good.
- 10:52Speaker 8: And that was pretty much it. We watched Elephant Lane, too. Yeah,
- 10:56Speaker 8: that's right. And I think I grew more chest hair.
- 10:58Speaker 4: A little bit. I think I did, too. Oh, interesting.
- 11:05Speaker 8: And then, which isn't really geeky, we went to a
- 11:07Speaker 8: wedding we just got back from earlier today, which was awesome,
- 11:11Speaker 8: which you made the cake for.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Yes. Shameless plug.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Shameless plug, hey.
- 11:16Speaker 4: If you're offering to make wedding cakes, I'm sure there
- 11:18Speaker 4: are plenty of people out there. Yes.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Or birthday cakes, bar mitzvahs.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Divorces. Divorces, yeah. Do people get cakes for divorces?
- 11:27Speaker 9: Sometimes.
- 11:27Speaker 4: Sure. If you're really excited about it. Yeah. Finally. Like
- 11:30Speaker 4: it's a mutual, all right, finally. Tired of you.
- 11:33Speaker 5: I think it's more or less the women getting cakes,
- 11:35Speaker 5: being like, yeah.
- 11:36Speaker 4: Well, yeah, this is true. Celebrating themselves. Follow one.
- 11:40Speaker 9: Pretty much.
- 11:42Speaker 4: So that was our.
- 11:43Speaker 2: A few naked people.
- 11:44Speaker 4: Geeky activity. Some wet orgies going on there.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 11:49Speaker 4: Sorry.
- 11:49Speaker 7: Okay.
- 11:49Speaker 6: That was it.
- 11:50Speaker 4: All righty. Any activities, Eddie? No, no activity over the
- 11:57Speaker 4: past week. At all? At all. That's bad. Even I
- 12:03Speaker 4: sat down and watched a movie. Any good commercials you saw?
- 12:06Speaker 4: You've been driving?
- 12:07Speaker 6: Oh, I did watch a few of the old Avengers
- 12:13Speaker 6: series towards the beginning of the week.
- 12:14Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 12:16Speaker 6: Well, I sampled a little Kathy Gale and some Emma
- 12:22Speaker 6: Peel and then the other chick.
- 12:25Speaker 11: I don't know.
- 12:25Speaker 4: Nobody knows. The George Lassen view.
- 12:27Speaker 11: Nobody knows.
- 12:30Speaker 4: Well, if nothing else, even if you didn't do anything,
- 12:33Speaker 4: you vicariously know someone who's doing something super cool right now.
- 12:36Speaker 4: Right now. This is insane. Right now. Go ahead and
- 12:39Speaker 4: tell them what happened just a few moments ago.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Okay.
- 12:42Speaker 6: Well, a little background on who this person is. It's
- 12:45Speaker 6: one of my buddies that I've been doing quite a
- 12:47Speaker 6: bit of work for lately, and he's got a sock company.
- 12:51Speaker 4: It's really cool, like art socks. Oh, nice. That's the
- 12:55Speaker 4: funniest thing I've ever heard.
- 12:57Speaker 2: What's the name of the company?
- 12:59Speaker 6: The name of the company is Ashidashi. It's spelled A-S-H-I-D-A-S-H-I.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Nice. And you can find them at ashidashi.com. Plug. Plug. Nice.
- 13:10Speaker 4: We've lost track of the plug.
- 13:11Speaker 8: We're actually drinking Coke products and Miller Highline.
- 13:16Speaker 2: And Miller Highline.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Get some sponsorships. Seriously. I have a generic water, but yeah.
- 13:21Speaker 4: I get no sponsorship. Yeah, they're really cool socks. He
- 13:25Speaker 4: spends a lot of time on the road, though. He's
- 13:26Speaker 4: actually in Brooklyn.
- 13:28Speaker 6: Right now um we shot for his catalog on friday
- 13:33Speaker 6: and then i immediately left that shoot to go up
- 13:35Speaker 6: to rockford illinois to play a show which is like
- 13:38Speaker 6: basically wisconsin yeah and then drove straight from rockford here
- 13:42Speaker 6: um i did stay at the holiday inn or whatever
- 13:45Speaker 6: but anyway getting off track here um we do that
- 13:49Speaker 6: a lot so yeah i got a text like right
- 13:51Speaker 6: before we started recording and apparently he's um Just chilling
- 13:55Speaker 6: with Natalie Portman right now.
- 13:57Speaker 4: That is what her name is. I hate this guy. Right?
- 14:00Speaker 9: God, I really want to listen to the Natalie Portman rap.
- 14:03Speaker 4: I know.
- 14:04Speaker 6: Please.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Oh, it's awful.
- 14:04Speaker 2: That's the exact thing I thought when you said her name.
- 14:06Speaker 9: I know. I mean, I know she's been in, like,
- 14:08Speaker 9: amazing movies, and she's just hot in general, but, like, damn,
- 14:11Speaker 9: the rap.
- 14:12Speaker 4: Seriously. We need to get her on the phone and
- 14:14Speaker 4: have her rap to us.
- 14:15Speaker 9: In my mind, that's what she's known for.
- 14:16Speaker 4: She's the greatest rapper.
- 14:18Speaker 8: That's when her hair was shaved from the... From Vendetta?
- 14:21Speaker 4: Yes.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Wasn't she wearing, like, a.
- 14:24Speaker 5: horn thing at one point like a viking horn or
- 14:27Speaker 5: was it like a helmet yeah or something god i
- 14:30Speaker 5: think we have to watch i think in the video
- 14:31Speaker 5: somebody was.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Yeah maybe andy sandberg was like behind her.
- 14:34Speaker 4: I think he normally just wears that around the house
- 14:37Speaker 4: he's not he's not so.
- 14:38Speaker 8: There's no way we can like coax an interview like
- 14:41Speaker 8: of course we're trying to like tell him that.
- 14:43Speaker 6: We want to talk i know it's not live but
- 14:46Speaker 6: she's currently since we're talking about what she's wearing crimped
- 14:50Speaker 6: blonde hair and she's in pajamas She's out walking her dog.
- 14:55Speaker 4: In pajamas. That's awesome. She's an artist. She can do that.
- 14:59Speaker 4: So two degrees of separation.
- 15:01Speaker 9: I mean, I judge people at the grocery store when
- 15:03Speaker 9: they're wearing... Pajamas, but Natalie Portman.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Yeah, if I saw Natalie Portman at the grocery.
- 15:09Speaker 9: I bet they cost like $ 900.
- 15:11Speaker 8: Funny, you should be wearing pajamas right now. I am
- 15:16Speaker 8: a entrepreneur and producer of socks.
- 15:19Speaker 4: Cool socks. I'll sell you some socks. That's how he's
- 15:24Speaker 4: working it.
- 15:24Speaker 2: I will design you some socks. I don't think she's
- 15:28Speaker 2: dating anyway.
- 15:28Speaker 4: Get a signature series off of her. I'd wear them.
- 15:33Speaker 4: I want to see your socks. I actually, I carry
- 15:37Speaker 4: some with me.
- 15:38Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 15:39Speaker 6: I got some, I got some stock for, for photo
- 15:42Speaker 6: shoots and they kind of like, they're starting to dwindle,
- 15:45Speaker 6: but I've still got a decent selection in the trunk.
- 15:48Speaker 9: Going door to door.
- 15:51Speaker 4: If you can get me the ones that Natalie wore,
- 15:53Speaker 4: that's really what I'm looking for.
- 15:54Speaker 9: That's kind of creepy.
- 15:55Speaker 4: That's weird. That is a little weird. And you're surprised
- 15:58Speaker 4: by this? Yeah.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Can you make a sock puppet, like monkey?
- 16:00Speaker 4: Cuddle with it.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Yes.
- 16:02Speaker 4: It would be like the... You're on to my plan.
- 16:06Speaker 4: The vendors, the vending machines in Japan. Oh, yes.
- 16:10Speaker 9: Sell schoolgirls.
- 16:11Speaker 4: Get underwear. Use underwear. Socks with a wrist of your word.
- 16:14Speaker 4: Pop star or whatever.
- 16:16Speaker 8: The price is depending on if they are used or
- 16:19Speaker 8: how heavily used or what time of the month it is.
- 16:21Speaker 4: They're more expensive. And the reality of that is so
- 16:25Speaker 4: messed up.
- 16:26Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 16:27Speaker 4: Yeah, no joke. It's all real. Yeah. It's all real.
- 16:30Speaker 4: But what's funny is I still picture people like dropping
- 16:32Speaker 4: quarters in. Yeah.
- 16:34Speaker 8: I'm pretty sure.
- 16:36Speaker 4: That's not how it works. But in my mind, it's
- 16:37Speaker 4: funnier that way.
- 16:39Speaker 8: No, they take credit cards.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Yeah, no. That's no fun at all. You put quarters
- 16:43Speaker 4: in and they're all.
- 16:44Speaker 6: black uh shield that's over it yeah drops down.
- 16:48Speaker 8: For a second oh god how serious would you be
- 16:50Speaker 8: if it gets caught on the ring and it doesn't
- 16:52Speaker 8: fall it's like you're out there shaking the underwear machine
- 16:56Speaker 8: and then it starts raining panties huge pants.
- 17:01Speaker 4: Yeah even worse a cop comes along you get busted
- 17:04Speaker 4: with your arm jammed up the underwear machine i swear
- 17:07Speaker 4: i paid for these they didn't jump yeah they're supposed
- 17:09Speaker 4: to jump God help us. Anyways. Anyway. Marlena? Yeah, what
- 17:16Speaker 4: was your geek activity?
- 17:17Speaker 9: Well, I did a lot of bike riding as usual.
- 17:20Speaker 4: That's pretty geek.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Good.
- 17:22Speaker 9: I was like four miles away from my house and
- 17:24Speaker 9: my seat broke. My spring. Like I have a cruiser,
- 17:30Speaker 9: like a Schwinn cruiser. And the spring broke. So the
- 17:33Speaker 9: seat was like at a 45 degree angle at least.
- 17:36Speaker 8: Awesome.
- 17:36Speaker 9: So I had to ride back like.
- 17:39Speaker 8: Loped to one side?
- 17:40Speaker 9: With one ash cheek considerably higher than the other.
- 17:43Speaker 4: I bet that was good to pedal. You've got a
- 17:45Speaker 4: pimpling on your pedal.
- 17:47Speaker 9: It hurt my back so bad. I felt like someone
- 17:49Speaker 9: had donkey punched me in the spine or something.
- 17:53Speaker 4: I don't think that's how that works, but all right.
- 17:55Speaker 9: Maybe that's not the correct term.
- 17:59Speaker 4: Somebody missed in their donkey punch. Dirty. I don't know.
- 18:03Speaker 9: Anyway, yesterday I watched The Iron Giant, which was really.
- 18:09Speaker 4: It was a really cool movie. Had you never seen it?
- 18:12Speaker 4: I'd never seen it before. Really?
- 18:13Speaker 8: Do you know who does the voice of the Iron Giant?
- 18:15Speaker 4: I do. Vin Diesel.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Yes, he does.
- 18:17Speaker 9: Okay, I knew it was someone, and I was trying
- 18:20Speaker 9: to figure it out.
- 18:21Speaker 4: I'm so excited about that. Me too.
- 18:23Speaker 9: Yeah, but I was trying to watch it with a
- 18:27Speaker 9: four-year-old who was, like, insisting on he being buried under
- 18:30Speaker 9: the couch cushions and sat on it. Bear me under
- 18:33Speaker 9: the couch cushions, Andrews.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Don't lie. This is reverse. You were under the couch cushions.
- 18:38Speaker 4: He was like, shut up. I'm trying to watch Iron Giants. God.
- 18:42Speaker 9: But it was a really good movie. I mean, I
- 18:44Speaker 9: really liked it. Like modern cartoons that are set in
- 18:47Speaker 9: a different time.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:49Speaker 9: And that one was kind of set in the 50s,
- 18:50Speaker 9: which was really cool.
- 18:51Speaker 8: Well, that was, you know, how I'm always complaining that
- 18:54Speaker 8: Americans don't have any balls when it comes to cartoons.
- 18:57Speaker 8: They should be for kids only. And that one was
- 18:59Speaker 8: considerably more adult themed.
- 19:01Speaker 9: Yeah, like when he chloroformed that kid.
- 19:04Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly. Awesome.
- 19:06Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 19:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:07Speaker 8: And then when the Iron Giant starts, like, gets mad
- 19:09Speaker 8: because he thinks he's dead, he just turns into that
- 19:11Speaker 8: death machine. Yeah.
- 19:12Speaker 4: That was so awesome. Awesome.
- 19:15Speaker 9: It was a pretty good movie.
- 19:15Speaker 4: Yeah, it was a pretty good movie.
- 19:17Speaker 9: And then after that, I watched The Serpent and the Rainbow.
- 19:22Speaker 4: Which is pretty good, actually.
- 19:24Speaker 9: Yeah, it's really good. It's a zombie movie, but not
- 19:26Speaker 9: in a traditional way.
- 19:28Speaker 4: It's actually very traditional.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a voodoo zombie movie.
- 19:31Speaker 4: It's the original zombie movie.
- 19:32Speaker 9: I mean, yeah.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Cool.
- 19:33Speaker 9: Yeah, it's more like a... The scientific kind of zombie movie.
- 19:40Speaker 8: Well, it's loosely based on a true story.
- 19:42Speaker 4: Go ahead.
- 19:46Speaker 9: Yeah, there were no flesh-eating zombies. There were some mean
- 19:51Speaker 9: voodoo people, but no flesh-eating zombies.
- 19:54Speaker 4: In this movie, which is kind of weird.
- 19:55Speaker 2: That's my kind of zombie.
- 19:57Speaker 5: One's not going to eat them.
- 19:59Speaker 4: That's one of the higher spikes on the Wes Craven career, because...
- 20:03Speaker 4: it was like surrounded by really all, cause that was
- 20:05Speaker 4: right after deadly friend. And right before, I believe shocker.
- 20:09Speaker 4: So I'm like, he's so back and forth in his, uh,
- 20:12Speaker 4: his movie choices sometimes.
- 20:14Speaker 9: But I've been on the hunt to find Pontypool since
- 20:17Speaker 9: you brought it up last week.
- 20:18Speaker 4: What's Pontypool? Oh yeah, no, that's right. Yeah. We actually
- 20:23Speaker 4: have one among the crew, so we'll probably be watching it.
- 20:27Speaker 9: Well, it's actually on demand because, uh, i don't know
- 20:31Speaker 9: why but i forgot to put it on the netflix
- 20:32Speaker 9: queue so last night i was like this has to
- 20:34Speaker 9: be on demand somehow and it is so i'll probably
- 20:38Speaker 9: be watching that within the next few days well.
- 20:40Speaker 8: I love serving the rainbow because it's voodoo is like
- 20:45Speaker 8: it's interesting and it's creepy because of how real voodoo
- 20:50Speaker 8: is yeah and i think you know of course with
- 20:52Speaker 8: anything it's like The more belief stuff gets, the more
- 20:55Speaker 8: power it actually can have.
- 20:56Speaker 4: So I don't know. I mean, from whatever.
- 21:00Speaker 8: I've seen on the History Channel and, you know, watching
- 21:02Speaker 8: this movie, I don't know if, you know, zombie powder
- 21:04Speaker 8: really is real.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:06Speaker 8: But, you know, this is kind of one of the
- 21:09Speaker 8: creepiest and coolest ways of going about it. Like, I
- 21:11Speaker 8: saw Serving the Rainbow when I was way too young. And, oh, boy,
- 21:14Speaker 8: did it give me freaking nightmares.
- 21:16Speaker 4: Like the little.
- 21:17Speaker 8: Midget dead woman with the snake coming out of her mouth. Yeah, definitely.
- 21:20Speaker 8: I don't want to ruin it because definitely we should
- 21:22Speaker 8: watch it.
- 21:22Speaker 4: And I've got it.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Oh, do you?
- 21:24Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 21:26Speaker 9: No, I think I read something. And, I mean, I
- 21:29Speaker 9: don't know if I read it on the Internet, which
- 21:31Speaker 9: means I'm not sure if I read it, like, in
- 21:33Speaker 9: a book or in a magazine or something like that.
- 21:35Speaker 9: But there are, like, they have developed neurotoxins in Haiti
- 21:39Speaker 9: that will do that. Put someone to sleep and make.
- 21:42Speaker 8: You believe they're dead.
- 21:44Speaker 12: Bared alive.
- 21:44Speaker 4: Oh, God.
- 21:45Speaker 8: It's the worst thing ever to be buried alive. Because
- 21:47Speaker 8: you can't, like, Beatrix Kittle your way out.
- 21:50Speaker 4: Right.
- 21:51Speaker 8: The reality is you're freaking screwed.
- 21:53Speaker 2: I would try that.
- 21:54Speaker 4: I got so claustrophobic watching that. Oh, yeah.
- 21:57Speaker 6: It was ridiculous. Actually, I had a replay of that
- 22:00Speaker 6: same level of claustrophobia. Some of my friends got a diving,
- 22:05Speaker 6: like an old diving helmet.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Mm-hmm. That's got, like, the little windows. Got the metal ones. Yeah. Oh,
- 22:11Speaker 4: like the old, like, low one. Yeah.
- 22:13Speaker 8: Oh, wow.
- 22:14Speaker 4: Like 20,000 leagues. Yeah, awesome. And I put it on,
- 22:20Speaker 4: and I was either high or drunk at the time,
- 22:22Speaker 4: I'm sure.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Or both.
- 22:23Speaker 10: Or both.
- 22:24Speaker 4: I can't imagine these things. And... Never. Like, it was
- 22:28Speaker 4: one of the scariest things. And there was this, like,
- 22:31Speaker 4: screw poking in the side of my neck.
- 22:33Speaker 3: What?
- 22:36Speaker 4: This is our public service announcement. Kids, don't drink and
- 22:39Speaker 4: get high and put a diving helmet on. Stay away
- 22:43Speaker 4: from the diving helmets. Make sure you have a partner.
- 22:45Speaker 4: The more you know.
- 22:50Speaker 8: So yeah that's serving the rainbow i definitely would suggest
- 22:53Speaker 8: if you're into voodoo at all or good west craven
- 22:57Speaker 8: west craven west craven movies uh and i think uh
- 23:01Speaker 8: bill pullman was actually really good in that he.
- 23:03Speaker 4: Was yeah that was early in his career.
- 23:06Speaker 9: He was so adorable and i mean i don't really
- 23:09Speaker 9: think about him in that way so.
- 23:11Speaker 4: I still think he should be present A jet-flying president.
- 23:15Speaker 4: That's all I want, really.
- 23:16Speaker 9: That would be pretty sweet.
- 23:20Speaker 4: All right, so does that wrap up the Geek Week here? Yes. Oh,
- 23:24Speaker 4: but we did, we watched some Riddick.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Yes, he forced me to watch Riddick.
- 23:27Speaker 5: I'm not going to lie, I wasn't that into it
- 23:29Speaker 5: at first because my dad's real into it, and I was.
- 23:31Speaker 4: Like, I don't know.
- 23:33Speaker 2: But I like Pitch Black, so we watched that, and
- 23:35Speaker 2: I was like, okay.
- 23:36Speaker 4: I don't like Pitch Black.
- 23:37Speaker 8: They're a good time. I'll fight always for Riddick.
- 23:39Speaker 2: I watched the animated one.
- 23:41Speaker 4: Which one was that one? Dark Fury.
- 23:44Speaker 2: I liked that one.
- 23:44Speaker 4: The animation was good. Peter Chong of Aeon Flux. I
- 23:49Speaker 4: do like the old Aeon Flux. Yes. Those were awesome. So,
- 23:52Speaker 4: Vin Diesel, I love you. Anyway. I hope he hears that.
- 23:58Speaker 4: I hope he does, too. I hope I take that out.
- 24:01Speaker 9: I like his voice. I like men with, like, deep voices.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Not like Christian Bale deep.
- 24:07Speaker 4: That's kind of fake deep.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Too much.
- 24:09Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 24:10Speaker 4: Swear to me. I'm doing a fake voice right now.
- 24:13Speaker 9: He just sounds like a tranny.
- 24:15Speaker 10: Oh, wow.
- 24:16Speaker 4: Oh, my God. That's not what you're looking for? What? Yeah.
- 24:21Speaker 9: Oh, Lord.
- 24:22Speaker 4: All right. We will take a break and be back
- 24:23Speaker 4: with What's the Buzz? As I'm walking out one day
- 24:34Speaker 4: in the morning, in the morning so fine. Well, I
- 24:39Speaker 4: jumped the devil from behind, no, not in pain. Say,
- 24:42Speaker 4: look to the devil and I jump back. Look to
- 24:48Speaker 4: the devil and I jump back. Look to the devil
- 24:51Speaker 4: and I jump back.
- 24:52Speaker 2: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
- 24:59Speaker 11: The whole family is getting together to show Dad how
- 25:01Speaker 11: much he's appreciated.
- 25:03Speaker 4: It's so nice to have a man around the house.
- 25:05Speaker 4: But here's an extra surprise.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Somebody's giving the whole family to the most enjoyable gift
- 25:11Speaker 3: of all.
- 25:11Speaker 4: Get there? Take Dad and the family on a pleasure-filled.
- 25:14Speaker 11: Outing to the movies at our special Father's Day show Sunday,

- 26:36Speaker 12: This is a chopper!
- 26:57Speaker 4: I said, oh man, what you want me this morning,
- 26:59Speaker 4: this morning so bad?
- 27:01Speaker 7: I said, oh man, what you want me this morning,
- 27:07Speaker 7: this morning so bad?
- 27:11Speaker 4: He said, oh, make your dirty old soul mine.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I had a pretty cool switchblade thing.
- 27:21Speaker 4: Carry around all the time. One of my buddies was
- 27:25Speaker 4: trying to get rid.
- 27:29Speaker 9: Of it.
- 27:30Speaker 4: He's like, do you want this? it's like hell yeah
- 27:47Speaker 4: sure all right okay yeah.
- 27:49Speaker 15: Free deadly weapon i got it out to phoenix and
- 27:52Speaker 15: like realized that i was flying back and i was
- 27:55Speaker 15: like yeah sorry you can't come with me just one
- 27:59Speaker 15: of the kids that i was staying with out there
- 28:00Speaker 15: i was like.
- 28:02Speaker 4: You want this and they were like It's just continually
- 28:06Speaker 4: being passed around now. The next day he was like.
- 28:10Speaker 8: Do you want this in his grandmother's life?
- 28:13Speaker 4: I guess.
- 28:15Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 28:15Speaker 4: At some point it's actually going to get used. Yeah.
- 28:18Speaker 9: You know, after I watched Blue Velvet, I was obsessed
- 28:20Speaker 9: with finding a switchblade stiletto. They are impossible to find.
- 28:24Speaker 4: You can't find them anywhere. I believe.
- 28:26Speaker 8: Did I have a switchblade stiletto on Blue Velvet?
- 28:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 28:28Speaker 4: I don't remember that.
- 28:29Speaker 2: You could probably generate one pretty easily.
- 28:31Speaker 4: That'd be fucking sweet.
- 28:32Speaker 2: They have the stripper shoes with the screws in the bottom.
- 28:35Speaker 9: No, like a knife, it comes out like a, like
- 28:39Speaker 9: most switchblades come out. This one, it just like.
- 28:42Speaker 8: Goes out straight.
- 28:43Speaker 4: I thought those were like angel knives.
- 28:45Speaker 9: They're called switchblades, stilettos, whatever. They probably have different names.
- 28:48Speaker 2: I think they're my shoes.
- 28:49Speaker 9: That would be awesome.
- 28:50Speaker 4: Which I've seen in movies, too. That would be awesome.
- 28:52Speaker 4: I think that's in Roadhouse, actually. It's sad. That's true, actually.
- 28:57Speaker 9: I'm just going to remove the heels on all of
- 28:59Speaker 9: my shoes and replace it with a kitchen knife, like
- 29:02Speaker 9: a cut-co knife.
- 29:03Speaker 4: That would be awesome. Good luck at the airport, by
- 29:07Speaker 4: the way. The Russian chicks go.
- 29:10Speaker 9: Uh-huh. Got one.
- 29:11Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 29:12Speaker 4: Who? The Russian chicks. From Russia with Love. Oh.
- 29:15Speaker 9: Amazing. Nice.
- 29:16Speaker 4: Not the Bond girl, but the... Boy, I can't remember
- 29:21Speaker 4: her name.
- 29:21Speaker 9: A lot of vagina.
- 29:23Speaker 4: A lot of vagina. She's my favorite.
- 29:25Speaker 9: Okay, all right.
- 29:26Speaker 8: Madame Twatala.
- 29:28Speaker 9: Speaking of getting sidetracked, let's go.
- 29:31Speaker 4: All right, we are back with What's the Buzz? Tell
- 29:33Speaker 4: me what's happening, what's the buzz? Tell me what's happening,
- 29:39Speaker 4: what's the buzz? is gonna be a buzzkill buzz um
- 29:46Speaker 4: aren't they always kind of actually the first one's pretty
- 29:49Speaker 4: fun i think we'll we'll get a little enjoyment out
- 29:51Speaker 4: of that because um the first one is basically just
- 29:53Speaker 4: um Returning to last week's top story, which is making
- 29:57Speaker 4: fun of Megan Fox. Oh, gosh.
- 29:59Speaker 9: Nice.
- 30:00Speaker 4: I just wanted to go ahead and round that out
- 30:01Speaker 4: because we had so much fun with it last time.
- 30:03Speaker 4: Playing on the thumbs. So, yeah, she got axed last week.
- 30:07Speaker 4: So as of this week, one week later, they've already
- 30:10Speaker 4: replaced her. And the new lucky girl is a Victoria's
- 30:14Speaker 4: Secret model named Rosie Huntington Whitley. Shut up.
- 30:18Speaker 9: I thought they were replacing her with six thumbs or
- 30:20Speaker 9: six fingers.
- 30:22Speaker 4: She was up for the role, but obviously she probably
- 30:24Speaker 4: had a real price tag involved. Because, I mean, she's
- 30:27Speaker 4: been in, like, the last two or three bits. I mean,
- 30:29Speaker 4: she was just in Clash of the Titans. She was
- 30:31Speaker 4: just in Prince of Persia. I don't remember this girl. Gemma?
- 30:35Speaker 4: The one we were just talking about last week? No,
- 30:36Speaker 4: but I don't remember her from it. Oh, okay. Apparently
- 30:39Speaker 4: she was born with six fingers. And she's awesome because
- 30:42Speaker 4: of that. I have chiggers. But... She had them removed, though.
- 30:45Speaker 8: They were floppy and useless.
- 30:47Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 30:48Speaker 4: But no, I'm assuming they got this chick for like
- 30:51Speaker 4: nothing because this is the best part. And I think
- 30:53Speaker 4: this is my favorite like slap in the face to
- 30:56Speaker 4: girl because, yeah, she has no acting experience whatsoever. Her
- 31:00Speaker 4: IMDb page consists entirely of appearances on the Victoria's Secret
- 31:04Speaker 4: fashion show and an episode of Britain's Next Top Model
- 31:07Speaker 4: as herself. Word. So, yeah. She'll be better than Megan Fox. Yeah,
- 31:12Speaker 4: that sort of puts it in context as to what
- 31:15Speaker 4: exactly Michael Bay thought of her acting skills.
- 31:18Speaker 9: Let's be honest. I mean, I think Shia is kind
- 31:20Speaker 9: of cute and all, but like... How in the real
- 31:23Speaker 9: world would this guy, this regular doofus, land smoking hot
- 31:27Speaker 9: Victoria's Secret?
- 31:27Speaker 4: Because he knows giant robots. Yeah, I guess. It's the
- 31:30Speaker 4: only reason, basically.
- 31:31Speaker 9: Hey, baby, do you like robots? She's kind of tray
- 31:34Speaker 9: with trash anyway.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Yeah, she kind of is. But I have used that
- 31:37Speaker 4: line before. And it doesn't work, mind you.
- 31:40Speaker 10: It doesn't?
- 31:40Speaker 4: No.
- 31:41Speaker 9: It worked for me.
- 31:41Speaker 4: Do you want to see my giant robot? I did
- 31:44Speaker 4: once use, do you want to come back to my
- 31:46Speaker 4: place and see my probe droid? But never mind. Very nice. Sadly,
- 31:50Speaker 4: that's all true.
- 31:52Speaker 6: I think my buddy had tried, I got a six pack.
- 31:57Speaker 4: And some Italian horror movies. That's good. And it worked
- 32:02Speaker 4: several times. Yeah. Oh, wow. You found the right girl.
- 32:04Speaker 4: That's all good.
- 32:05Speaker 9: Yeah. I'd probably be like, okay.
- 32:10Speaker 4: Let's go.
- 32:10Speaker 9: Yeah, exactly. I'd probably be down for any Italian horror movie,
- 32:17Speaker 9: but it'd probably depend on what type of beer would
- 32:20Speaker 9: be the deciding factor for me. Is it old style,
- 32:23Speaker 9: or is it like... franz's.
- 32:24Speaker 8: Pbr maybe for pbr i'd follow you home.
- 32:30Speaker 4: I was gonna say you're being a beer snob but
- 32:32Speaker 4: then you went with pbr so.
- 32:34Speaker 9: I don't really know i have a beer snob but
- 32:36Speaker 9: i like pbr pbr is actually good i will not
- 32:38Speaker 9: drink bud light and i will not drink biller light
- 32:40Speaker 9: or course light but i will drink pbr it is
- 32:42Speaker 9: good it has flavor for a cheap beer especially i'm
- 32:45Speaker 9: not a big fan of old style which is kind
- 32:47Speaker 9: of in the same category yes definitely.
- 32:51Speaker 4: Lone Star.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Alcoholics.
- 32:54Speaker 9: No, it's an occupational hazard.
- 32:56Speaker 4: Right? All right. So, yeah, we brought in our new
- 32:59Speaker 4: Victoria's Secret model. So from that casting to another new casting,
- 33:04Speaker 4: Dimension Films has announced that they have a new female
- 33:07Speaker 4: lead in line for the upcoming Scream 4.
- 33:10Speaker 16: Screen four i thought this is gonna be like solid
- 33:13Speaker 16: fourth one yeah wasn't there yeah it's sad that nobody
- 33:17Speaker 16: knows the difference at this point no sadly they stopped.
- 33:20Speaker 4: At three so as much as we all were hoping
- 33:23Speaker 4: they were.
- 33:24Speaker 9: Like banging on it's a trilogy It's not a trilogy
- 33:28Speaker 9: when there's more than three assholes.
- 33:29Speaker 4: Trying to give it up. Well, they've changed it up
- 33:31Speaker 4: because now they put out a teaser poster this week
- 33:34Speaker 4: that says, I believe, new decade, new rules. So now
- 33:38Speaker 4: they can start an entire new trilogy with a whole
- 33:41Speaker 4: new set of rules.
- 33:42Speaker 9: Why don't they just make a different movie?
- 33:44Speaker 4: Because you can't bank off the money that's already in
- 33:47Speaker 4: a title. You need title recognition.
- 33:49Speaker 8: That suit is so stupid now. I like that freaking face.
- 33:53Speaker 4: That's what I was going to say. In this world
- 33:55Speaker 4: where it's become scary movie, that suit, it was awesome,
- 33:58Speaker 4: that first movie. It changed horror movies, but now it's
- 34:01Speaker 4: a joke. I mean, it's become a joke.
- 34:04Speaker 9: I just imagine one of the Wayans brothers wearing it. Yeah.
- 34:08Speaker 9: What's up? And I'm not even going to do the voice.
- 34:10Speaker 4: Because my mom does that. Please don't.
- 34:11Speaker 9: And I can choke her to death every time she does.
- 34:14Speaker 4: Please. So, yeah, to me, that's the hardest part in
- 34:18Speaker 4: selling this project at this point is the fact that
- 34:21Speaker 4: it's so played out. And, you know, even if you
- 34:23Speaker 4: try to change it up and go a different way
- 34:25Speaker 4: with it, I don't know, but.
- 34:27Speaker 8: It's not like Jason or Freddy where, you know, they
- 34:30Speaker 8: got played out, but still, you know, they had good looks. Like,
- 34:33Speaker 8: Freddy was always a good look. Jason was always an
- 34:35Speaker 8: awesome look.
- 34:35Speaker 4: Well, the Scream, the suit worked, but it was like
- 34:39Speaker 4: a novelty, you know? It's like it's not something you
- 34:41Speaker 4: can keep dragging out forever.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Especially after you've seen a smoking pot.
- 34:45Speaker 4: Yeah. Once again, Scary Movie has ruined the Scream franchise,
- 34:49Speaker 4: so they need to just realize that. Recognize. So, the
- 34:55Speaker 4: new cast is at least famous by her family. The
- 34:58Speaker 4: new female lead, I guess the one that will become
- 35:01Speaker 4: the new Sidney... is Emma Roberts. Oh, okay. So the, yeah,
- 35:06Speaker 4: the sort of a child star now. She's been Nancy
- 35:08Speaker 4: Drew in Hotel for Dogs, and she was unfabulous. So,
- 35:12Speaker 4: I mean, she's had quite a little run of shows
- 35:14Speaker 4: as a kid, but I guess she's, like, 19 now,
- 35:16Speaker 4: so she's trying to, like, break on through and be
- 35:19Speaker 4: an adult star. This, I'm sure, will be good for
- 35:21Speaker 4: her career. It will get her out in the world.
- 35:24Speaker 9: How is she related to the Roberts?
- 35:26Speaker 4: Is she, like, Eric Roberts' daughter? She's Eric's daughter. So, yeah,
- 35:29Speaker 4: she's Julie's deece.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Okay.
- 35:32Speaker 9: I killed it. Problem solved.
- 35:35Speaker 2: They're everywhere themselves.
- 35:37Speaker 4: So yeah, we're relating to the fabulous Roberts clan, but
- 35:41Speaker 4: I don't know if it's going to solve anything. I
- 35:43Speaker 4: think they're also supposedly bringing in Hayden Panatera... How the
- 35:47Speaker 4: fuck do you say it?
- 35:48Speaker 9: Hayden Panatera.
- 35:48Speaker 4: There you go. Who is he? Cheerleader. Cheerleader.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Heroes.
- 35:53Speaker 4: Oh, that chick, yeah. That chick that's selling you shampoo
- 35:57Speaker 4: on the TV all the time. Oh, it's proactive, isn't it?
- 35:59Speaker 4: That's what she is. I think she did... Didn't she
- 36:01Speaker 4: do shampoo, too? She does proactive. She did Neutrogena. She's
- 36:05Speaker 4: done everything. Adorable. She is... She's right here. What do
- 36:09Speaker 4: you think?
- 36:09Speaker 2: I can't hate her.
- 36:11Speaker 9: She has curly, bouncy hair.
- 36:13Speaker 4: She is cute. She's going to look 17 forever, though.
- 36:16Speaker 4: That's pretty much her selling point at this point. The
- 36:18Speaker 4: internet is overrun with pictures of her because of that.
- 36:21Speaker 9: Amber had a cell phone. Don't let them lie to
- 36:23Speaker 9: you all.
- 36:27Speaker 4: I do have Kristen Bell on my cell phone.
- 36:29Speaker 8: Hopefully she's not going to be there all coked out,
- 36:32Speaker 8: no panties, stumbling.
- 36:33Speaker 9: That's my cell phone that has pictures of Hayden.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Painted to it.
- 36:36Speaker 4: That's true, actually.
- 36:38Speaker 9: Actually i i downloaded that picture to save it as
- 36:41Speaker 9: your picture when you call i'm serious.
- 36:46Speaker 4: Okay weird not really sure what that means but all
- 36:49Speaker 4: right i don't know So, yeah, they do still have
- 36:53Speaker 4: everybody pretty much coming back. Even Neve Campbell is coming back.
- 36:56Speaker 4: But they're bringing in a new, you know, female lead.
- 36:59Speaker 4: So does that mean Neve's not going to do so
- 37:01Speaker 4: well this time around? It's probably going to be her daughter, maybe.
- 37:03Speaker 4: I bet it's Neve Campbell's daughter. Maybe. But, I mean,
- 37:06Speaker 4: they've got, they've still got. Courtney Cox coming in. Yeah,
- 37:09Speaker 4: Courtney Cox and David Arquette are both still signed on.
- 37:13Speaker 4: What about that tall, weird guy that, like. He was
- 37:15Speaker 4: in Hackers.
- 37:16Speaker 9: Matthew Lillard.
- 37:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I like Matthew Lillard.
- 37:18Speaker 9: He has a bad tooth to gum.
- 37:19Speaker 4: He's been dead a long time. Did he die?
- 37:21Speaker 2: Yeah, he's been dead since the first one.
- 37:23Speaker 4: Yeah. Did you just tune into those movies?
- 37:26Speaker 2: Yeah, his best friend killed him.
- 37:27Speaker 4: It's been a long time.
- 37:28Speaker 9: Oh, yeah. Whatever happened to that guy that was like
- 37:30Speaker 9: a poor man's Johnny Depp? That's Skeet. Skeet.
- 37:34Speaker 4: Skeet. Is he coming back? He died in a long time.
- 37:37Speaker 4: Where are you?
- 37:38Speaker 8: Well, yeah, they both died in the first movie.
- 37:40Speaker 4: Yeah, they were both in the first movie.
- 37:41Speaker 8: Because they stabbed each other too deep.
- 37:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:45Speaker 4: That was awesome. I'm dying here, man.
- 37:48Speaker 2: I'm dying here.
- 37:50Speaker 10: Oh, God.
- 37:51Speaker 4: Fuck. Anyway. That part's awesome. I have no idea what
- 37:54Speaker 4: you guys are talking about. I haven't seen any of
- 37:58Speaker 4: the Scream. Oh, no. All right, now we're going to
- 38:00Speaker 4: go watch Scream. Oh, shit.
- 38:01Speaker 6: I was thinking that possibly Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich
- 38:05Speaker 6: were actually dead.
- 38:07Speaker 4: In real life.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Well, Steve Ulrich might be.
- 38:09Speaker 4: Career-wise. Career-wise, yes. Yes, they are.
- 38:11Speaker 2: I know Brad Renfrow is.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Oh, I feel.
- 38:14Speaker 9: Oh, yeah, he did die. I forgot about that.
- 38:17Speaker 5: Bodhi.
- 38:18Speaker 9: Yeah, anyway.
- 38:19Speaker 4: So, yeah, but everybody's on, like, even, again, surprising, like,
- 38:22Speaker 4: Wes Craven, I can see, because he kind of, once again,
- 38:24Speaker 4: he always kind of needs to redeem himself. I mean,
- 38:26Speaker 4: every time you turn around, he's back on, you know,
- 38:28Speaker 4: the low end of the director scale again. So, I
- 38:31Speaker 4: can see that one, but they even have Kevin Williamson
- 38:33Speaker 4: coming back to write it, which, to me, he was
- 38:36Speaker 4: way more instrumental in sort of the, you know, revolutionary
- 38:40Speaker 4: screenplay and what they did that sort of changed everything
- 38:43Speaker 4: in the horror game.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I guess that's cool that they're both coming back,
- 38:46Speaker 4: but again, it's just so played out.
- 38:48Speaker 11: I don't know what to do.
- 38:49Speaker 4: Let's just call it Yelp.
- 38:53Speaker 8: Just like, yeah, reboot it or something.
- 38:54Speaker 11: I don't know.
- 38:55Speaker 4: Well, that's what they think they're doing, but it's hard
- 38:57Speaker 4: to reboot when everybody from the last movie is in
- 38:59Speaker 4: this one. Yeah, seriously.
- 39:03Speaker 2: I forget 10 years ago.
- 39:04Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 39:05Speaker 4: Actually, we as a country have such a short attention span,
- 39:08Speaker 4: we did.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:09Speaker 4: We did about three years after that.
- 39:12Speaker 3: All right, so.
- 39:13Speaker 4: Quentin Tarantino's third movie as official director full-length was Jackie Brown,
- 39:18Speaker 4: the adaption of the 1992 Elmore Leonard novel Rum Punch.
- 39:22Speaker 4: And the characters portrayed in it that were Robert De
- 39:25Speaker 4: Niro and Samuel L. Jackson in the movie also appear
- 39:28Speaker 4: in Leonard's 1978 novel. novel, The Switch. So now, with
- 39:32Speaker 4: Tarantino's approval and with Elmore Leonard as executive producer, The
- 39:36Speaker 4: Switch is also being adapted as a movie, which makes
- 39:39Speaker 4: it effectively a prequel to Jackie Brown. Is it going
- 39:42Speaker 4: to be Tarantino? He's approved of it at this point.
- 39:46Speaker 4: There is no director, so... To me, it would be
- 39:49Speaker 4: interesting if they brought Tarantino back in to play with
- 39:51Speaker 4: these characters again. But it actually takes place earlier in
- 39:55Speaker 4: their lives, so it will be a younger version, so
- 39:58Speaker 4: they're going to be different actors. But it would still
- 40:00Speaker 4: be interesting if they brought Tarantino in to take these
- 40:02Speaker 4: same two characters. But he's got so many things he's
- 40:06Speaker 4: talking about doing, I don't know that he'll actually have
- 40:08Speaker 4: time to do this. All that damn coke, he needs
- 40:10Speaker 4: to focus. Well, that too. So, I don't know. At
- 40:14Speaker 4: this point, my question for you guys is, who's going
- 40:16Speaker 4: to play young De Niro and young Samuel L. Jackson?
- 40:20Speaker 8: Big Willie style son for young Samuel L.
- 40:23Speaker 4: Jackson. If you had a couple years on him, I
- 40:26Speaker 4: wouldn't surprise me. Is it that kid that's in the... Yeah. Okay.
- 40:30Speaker 4: I can see that.
- 40:31Speaker 2: What's his name?
- 40:33Speaker 5: Jaden.
- 40:34Speaker 4: Jaden, yeah.
- 40:35Speaker 9: How young?
- 40:36Speaker 4: Are we talking? I don't know. I mean, it's just,
- 40:38Speaker 4: I'm assuming it's more like. Yeah. Yeah.
- 40:41Speaker 8: It's like a child.
- 40:43Speaker 4: Looks like them in preschool. Yeah. I'm assuming it's more
- 40:46Speaker 4: like in their, like, mid-20s. Okay. De Niro.
- 40:50Speaker 9: What about that guy that's in all those, fuck. Rushmore
- 40:56Speaker 9: I'm sure what's the guy what's the guy that directed
- 41:00Speaker 9: who's the guy that directed Rushmore and Bottle Rocket and
- 41:03Speaker 9: Wes Anderson Wes Anderson the guy that's in the Wes
- 41:06Speaker 9: Anderson movies I don't remember his name.
- 41:08Speaker 4: He was also the one with glasses.
- 41:09Speaker 9: No he's got a mole on his face.
- 41:12Speaker 4: Oh he's the one that was in the band what
- 41:15Speaker 4: the hell is it.
- 41:15Speaker 9: He was in the movie Spun that had John Leguizamo
- 41:20Speaker 9: and that guy that guy oh my god I see
- 41:23Speaker 9: his face I don't know. He's an odd one.
- 41:25Speaker 2: He's a weird actor. Yeah, he is. He's an odd one.
- 41:27Speaker 2: He makes me uncomfortable.
- 41:28Speaker 4: That's what you're looking for, really. Jason Schwartzman.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Jason Schwartzman.
- 41:33Speaker 4: Schwartzman, okay. Schwartzman.
- 41:35Speaker 9: Gotcha. Trustee.
- 41:37Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 41:38Speaker 4: It's not the furthest thing from De Niro, I guess.
- 41:40Speaker 2: It looks like he got De Niro at.
- 41:41Speaker 4: The mall and everything.
- 41:42Speaker 9: Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.
- 41:43Speaker 4: I don't know if he has the intensity. He's got weirdness, but... Who's.
- 41:47Speaker 8: Missy's love from Star Trek?
- 41:51Speaker 4: Chris Pine?
- 41:51Speaker 8: Maybe Chris Pine? Maybe.
- 41:53Speaker 2: I could see that.
- 41:55Speaker 4: I don't know if he looks like it. He's got
- 41:57Speaker 4: the head, maybe. I don't know if he looks like it,
- 41:59Speaker 4: but again, he's pretty hot at this point in the
- 42:02Speaker 4: Hollywood scene. I could see them casting him.
- 42:04Speaker 2: He's got kind of rough, kind of, you know, fuck off.
- 42:07Speaker 8: Yeah, like, seems like he could carry that, right?
- 42:09Speaker 9: I was going to say, where's the Chris Penn microphone?
- 42:11Speaker 9: That's right.
- 42:11Speaker 2: I always look at that.
- 42:13Speaker 4: I just watched that last week. It's pretty good, actually.
- 42:16Speaker 4: It's entertaining. I loved it. It's entertaining.
- 42:21Speaker 2: I'm so in love with it anymore.
- 42:23Speaker 8: So send us in your thoughts, people listening, if you'd
- 42:25Speaker 8: like to. Who should play younger versions of Samuel?
- 42:29Speaker 4: And De Niro. I'm just afraid they're going to give
- 42:31Speaker 4: it to, like, Chris Tucker or something.
- 42:34Speaker 5: Oh, God, no.
- 42:34Speaker 4: That was my favorite part of that movie was when
- 42:36Speaker 4: he got shot. Yeah, seriously. Spoiler alert. But, yeah, that's
- 42:41Speaker 4: my favorite part in the movie.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Is little Bow Wow still acting? He's probably.
- 42:44Speaker 4: Oh, God. I think he just goes by Bow Wow.
- 42:46Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 42:47Speaker 4: Wow. Or just wow.
- 42:48Speaker 8: I'm super grown.
- 42:51Speaker 4: As he gets older. Probably known as W. W. When
- 42:54Speaker 4: he becomes president.
- 42:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:55Speaker 3: Oh, shit.
- 42:57Speaker 9: This guy came into my work the other day to
- 42:58Speaker 9: change our paper towel dispenser, and he was so fucking annoying.
- 43:02Speaker 9: He was like a poor man's Chris Rock. I was like,
- 43:06Speaker 9: please stop talking.
- 43:07Speaker 4: I think Chris Rock is his own poor man.
- 43:10Speaker 9: I know, but he was just a regular guy who
- 43:14Speaker 9: fucking works for a linen company, but he really thought
- 43:18Speaker 9: he was... I don't know if he was trying to
- 43:19Speaker 9: be Chris Rock or if... It was just like this
- 43:22Speaker 9: unfortunate thing that had happened to him. I don't know.
- 43:26Speaker 9: It was awful.
- 43:27Speaker 4: His mom told him he made a good price. Yeah.
- 43:29Speaker 8: He's like, would you just please change the linens and
- 43:32Speaker 8: go other places to hit on your route?
- 43:34Speaker 9: Install the fucking towel dispenser and get the fuck out
- 43:39Speaker 9: of my place of business.
- 43:40Speaker 4: Wait, wait, I got a funny story. Yeah.
- 43:43Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 43:43Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 43:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:44Speaker 9: Yeah. Back on track.
- 43:49Speaker 4: Did he start saying funny things about white people? He did.
- 43:52Speaker 9: No, it was actually gay white people.
- 43:54Speaker 1: Oh.
- 43:55Speaker 4: And I was like, this guy.
- 43:57Speaker 9: Right here, he happens to be a gay white dude
- 43:59Speaker 9: and you're insulting him.
- 44:00Speaker 4: Why don't you back off, dude? Yeah. Face Chris Rock. Anyway, sorry.
- 44:08Speaker 9: Told you it's me that does that random tangent thing.
- 44:11Speaker 4: Yeah, pretty much.
- 44:13Speaker 8: We don't have a train of thought anymore. It's like
- 44:15Speaker 8: just this amalgamation.
- 44:17Speaker 4: Alright, so I threw this one in just because it
- 44:21Speaker 4: allows me to say Antoine Fuqua. Fuqua is awesome. Fuqua. Anyway,
- 44:27Speaker 4: Bruce Willis is in early talks to star in The Tomb,
- 44:30Speaker 4: which would reunite him with his Tears of Sun director,
- 44:33Speaker 4: Antoine Fuqua. Fuqua. Fuqua. Fuqua. But I like the plot
- 44:40Speaker 4: as we roll on here. Willis would star in the
- 44:42Speaker 4: Summit Entertainment prison escape drama as the world's foremost authority
- 44:46Speaker 4: on structural security. who is framed and imprisoned in one
- 44:50Speaker 4: of the prisons he himself designed. This is such a
- 44:56Speaker 4: Hollywood story. Yeah, Jesus.
- 44:58Speaker 9: Where else?
- 44:59Speaker 4: I mean, I don't know too much about the legal system,
- 45:01Speaker 4: but who exactly is in charge of sending who to
- 45:04Speaker 4: what prison? Because shouldn't there be a red flag? Don't
- 45:08Speaker 4: send him to his own. To his own?
- 45:09Speaker 2: He would cross the desk at some point.
- 45:11Speaker 4: I guess. There's, you know. in a pile of paper
- 45:14Speaker 4: somewhere and somebody just rubber stamped them all didn't.
- 45:15Speaker 9: They already do this wasn't it called like jailbreak or
- 45:18Speaker 9: whatever that show was on fox for.
- 45:19Speaker 4: Like five years yeah every episode.
- 45:21Speaker 9: Was like the same every episode was like did they
- 45:24Speaker 9: get out of jail this time and i'm like no
- 45:26Speaker 9: it's been like five fucking years why is this show
- 45:29Speaker 9: so long they're not out of jail and then.
- 45:31Speaker 5: At one i don't I don't know when they get
- 45:35Speaker 5: out and they break back.
- 45:36Speaker 15: In to get somebody else out I still like I
- 45:38Speaker 15: watched it over and over again like I watched.
- 45:41Speaker 6: All the episodes but every single episode of the prisoner
- 45:44Speaker 6: was just like oh we almost got it you get
- 45:48Speaker 6: to the end and like i think i just ignored
- 45:51Speaker 6: the fact that i've watched any other episodes every time
- 45:53Speaker 6: i was like oh he's still stuck in prison it's like.
- 45:57Speaker 9: Scooby doo it's like you know what the outcome of
- 46:00Speaker 9: every episode is gonna.
- 46:01Speaker 8: Be it's like the show called like dying from super
- 46:04Speaker 8: aids or something it's like you're waiting every episode from
- 46:07Speaker 8: the die from super aids but it just never happens
- 46:09Speaker 8: it got.
- 46:10Speaker 5: Lost it got so crazy that you were so confused
- 46:13Speaker 5: by the time you started the episode from the last
- 46:16Speaker 5: episode by the end of the episode you still had
- 46:17Speaker 5: no idea.
- 46:18Speaker 2: What was going on because you enjoyed the shit out.
- 46:20Speaker 4: Of it Where am I?
- 46:22Speaker 8: I don't know, but I love it.
- 46:23Speaker 4: I don't know. This just seems like a bad plan
- 46:26Speaker 4: for the prison system as far as that's concerned. So
- 46:28Speaker 4: what's it called? The Tomb. The Tomb. Which doesn't even fit, really.
- 46:33Speaker 4: I'm sure they've got a stupid reason they call it that.
- 46:35Speaker 9: I'm sure they'll say it at one point in the movie,
- 46:37Speaker 9: which I love.
- 46:38Speaker 4: And then we all have to scream real loud. This
- 46:40Speaker 4: place is like a tomb, man. It sounds like cube.
- 46:43Speaker 4: oh yeah cube was awesome was that like the devil's
- 46:46Speaker 4: tomb i.
- 46:46Speaker 8: Just watched that really months ago yeah oh it's awesome
- 46:49Speaker 8: where they it's like a a weird mouse trap it's
- 46:53Speaker 8: like the number changing rooms with different death traps in
- 46:57Speaker 8: them type thing it's like a rubik's cube yeah that
- 46:59Speaker 8: sounds space it's really cool but the second one is
- 47:03Speaker 8: really bad because it gets into alternate alternate dimensions i
- 47:07Speaker 8: watched a little bit of.
- 47:08Speaker 4: The second one yeah i.
- 47:09Speaker 2: Was like either i'm too stoned or yeah i just
- 47:12Speaker 2: anymore I just.
- 47:13Speaker 9: Wanted to know why there's not a Japanese game show
- 47:16Speaker 9: that's exactly like Saw but real because I would watch that.
- 47:19Speaker 4: And they would do it. They would do it. They
- 47:21Speaker 4: would back it. They could get like advertisers. Hell yeah. Actually.
- 47:25Speaker 4: First running man. Yeah. Uncensored. Like the show, what was it?
- 47:32Speaker 4: MXC or whatever. Yeah.
- 47:34Speaker 6: Like I lived over in Israel for a while and
- 47:37Speaker 6: we were getting like the uncensored ones.
- 47:39Speaker 9: Nice. Like.
- 47:41Speaker 4: In Japanese.
- 47:42Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 47:42Speaker 4: Like, there weren't even subtitles or anything. Nice, nice. And
- 47:44Speaker 4: so there wasn't all the MXC, like, commentary. Like, you
- 47:47Speaker 4: really need subtitles.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Which is awesome.
- 47:50Speaker 4: It's all fake anyway.
- 47:52Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 47:53Speaker 3: Lord.
- 47:53Speaker 4: So, what all kinds of hardcore stuff were they up to?
- 47:55Speaker 4: You know, there's nudity, probably.
- 47:57Speaker 10: Oh, yeah.
- 47:57Speaker 4: In the show, like, you know. Yeah. Were they just
- 47:59Speaker 4: beating people? I didn't really understand.
- 48:02Speaker 9: You have to drink a gallon of your own. While
- 48:04Speaker 9: they wore the Velcro suit, they missed and broke their neck.
- 48:07Speaker 4: Oh, awesome. People died?
- 48:09Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 48:10Speaker 9: I'm just assuming. Tiny Japanese schoolgirls came out and cheerleaded.
- 48:15Speaker 4: Which is very popular. I'd watch that.
- 48:18Speaker 9: I could watch that every day.
- 48:19Speaker 4: This all seems awesome to me. Every day of my life. Oh, Lord. Anyway.
- 48:24Speaker 4: We'll get away from that. And this isn't any better.
- 48:26Speaker 4: This just makes no sense to me and is worn
- 48:28Speaker 4: out as well. This is the buzzkill. So a few
- 48:31Speaker 4: years back, it was reported that comic strip creator Scott
- 48:34Speaker 4: Adams had sold the right to adapt his popular office
- 48:37Speaker 4: worker character Dilbert as a feature film. Popular how many
- 48:41Speaker 4: years ago? I mean, really, when the hell has Dilbert
- 48:44Speaker 4: been like.
- 48:45Speaker 8: Cubicle humor is only so funny.
- 48:47Speaker 9: I mean, Office Space was already made.
- 48:49Speaker 4: There's a lot of cubicles. And it was awesome. There's
- 48:51Speaker 4: a lot of cubicles that are empty. And the office...
- 48:54Speaker 4: well that's that's the thing i have two of them
- 48:58Speaker 4: yeah yeah we need more of.
- 49:01Speaker 9: This i mean drew carrey wasn't he just like a
- 49:03Speaker 9: wannabe dilbert.
- 49:04Speaker 4: That's what i thought i always thought that was just
- 49:05Speaker 4: sort of their live action version of dilbert was when
- 49:08Speaker 4: they made the drew carrey show which was good so
- 49:11Speaker 4: yeah they brought in director ken who did he's just
- 49:15Speaker 4: not that into you that's just not selling this any better.
- 49:18Speaker 9: Get out i totally have that book and watch that
- 49:20Speaker 9: movie sorry.
- 49:21Speaker 4: Guys That's it. You're off the show.
- 49:24Speaker 2: I don't have the book, though.
- 49:26Speaker 9: I mean, I was dating a guy and he just
- 49:29Speaker 9: wasn't that into me. I needed a fucking book to
- 49:31Speaker 9: figure this out.
- 49:32Speaker 4: I don't think the book fixes those problems.
- 49:34Speaker 9: What's wrong with that?
- 49:36Speaker 4: I've just come to assume that it's going to be
- 49:38Speaker 4: like that. I get over it. There's no book for me.
- 49:41Speaker 8: Well, deliberate humor to me is just like, you have
- 49:45Speaker 8: to work in that office environment, and it's super dry,
- 49:49Speaker 8: and it's super condensed down to this is only going
- 49:52Speaker 8: to be funny a little bit to these type of people.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Yeah i don't think you can paste.
- 49:58Speaker 8: Yeah totally i don't think you can market that to
- 50:01Speaker 8: the masses in a way that they would think it's
- 50:03Speaker 8: funny at all i mean.
- 50:04Speaker 4: The closest thing you could would be the office which
- 50:07Speaker 4: is already around so i don't know what exactly but
- 50:10Speaker 4: that's the thing that they brought in this this director
- 50:12Speaker 4: and who has done 12 episodes of the office so
- 50:15Speaker 4: i mean are we just going to be dragging out
- 50:17Speaker 4: i mean Oh, God help us.
- 50:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 50:21Speaker 4: So, I don't know. It's like, what exactly are they
- 50:24Speaker 4: going to do with this that hasn't already been done
- 50:26Speaker 4: in other office comedies? And the only thing that makes
- 50:29Speaker 4: even less sense is the fact that there is a
- 50:31Speaker 4: talking dog in this comic strip. Well, we just got Marmaduke.
- 50:35Speaker 4: I know. So are they going to do a CGI
- 50:38Speaker 4: version of Dogbert? Probably. Are we really going to have
- 50:41Speaker 4: to live through that?
- 50:43Speaker 9: Why was there ever a dog in the office anyway?
- 50:45Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 50:46Speaker 8: Why does a dog wear glasses?
- 50:47Speaker 4: Doesn't he wear glasses?
- 50:48Speaker 2: Isn't he also the devil?
- 50:52Speaker 4: The dog? I could be wrong.
- 50:53Speaker 5: Maybe it's just an episode or a strip where he
- 50:56Speaker 5: was the devil.
- 50:57Speaker 9: I guess it just depends on what office you're in.
- 51:00Speaker 9: Maybe some cool office.
- 51:02Speaker 5: My favorite liquor store back home had three pet cats
- 51:04Speaker 5: that used to hang out.
- 51:06Speaker 4: I love stores that have pets.
- 51:08Speaker 9: I love stores that have pets, but then there are
- 51:10Speaker 9: some people who have really absurd phobias of cats and
- 51:16Speaker 9: dogs and stuff like that. It's so funny.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 51:19Speaker 9: I did it again.
- 51:21Speaker 4: Tangents.
- 51:22Speaker 2: Tangent train.
- 51:24Speaker 4: That's how we roll.
- 51:25Speaker 8: Jump on board.
- 51:27Speaker 4: So Dilbert, the movie, is going to suck, basically. I
- 51:30Speaker 4: don't know what to do with that. Is there any
- 51:31Speaker 4: way to email him? Just tell him no. Hollywood?
- 51:35Speaker 2: No.
- 51:35Speaker 4: Attention, Hollywood.
- 51:37Speaker 9: No.
- 51:37Speaker 4: Please stop making stupid movies.
- 51:39Speaker 5: The end.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Send that money to some starving children.
- 51:42Speaker 4: Me. Or just sponsor our show. Thank you. Please do. Hollywood,
- 51:48Speaker 4: sponsor our show with your ridiculously wasted money. Thank you.
- 51:51Speaker 6: We're sponsored by Hollywood.
- 51:54Speaker 8: That's all I'm looking for. Why not have this Ziggy movie?
- 51:57Speaker 8: I think we talked about this last week. Because you've
- 51:59Speaker 8: got Marmaduke. Okay, Garfield is a comic... strip that garfield.
- 52:03Speaker 4: And friends was awesome the old cartoon was awesome the
- 52:06Speaker 4: movie have you seen the new show that's on the
- 52:09Speaker 4: cgi one that's where we were watching every day it is.
- 52:13Speaker 5: Horrible no wonder children are growing up retarded yeah.
- 52:17Speaker 8: Seriously pretty much it's just like okay marmaduke came out
- 52:20Speaker 8: you know that looked brilliant uh because we already had
- 52:24Speaker 8: like Beethoven or whatever.
- 52:26Speaker 4: Beethoven was okay. And that was at least fun. He
- 52:28Speaker 4: didn't talk. No, exactly. He wasn't CG either. Yeah. He
- 52:31Speaker 4: was a dog. Imagine that.
- 52:32Speaker 8: But the comic strip movie thing that's going on, it's
- 52:35Speaker 8: like the family circus, no, should not be.
- 52:38Speaker 4: Because it's the same thing.
- 52:39Speaker 2: I hate the family circus. It never makes me laugh.
- 52:41Speaker 8: I'm not a parent, and I understand it's for parents,
- 52:44Speaker 8: but still, it's stupid.
- 52:46Speaker 4: It's like, come on. Yes, yes it is. When are
- 52:49Speaker 4: they going to stop?
- 52:50Speaker 2: I'd be okay with a Ziggy movie. If it was
- 52:52Speaker 2: like cartoon, like But a whole movie? Maybe like a
- 52:56Speaker 2: short at the end of Toy Story.
- 52:57Speaker 8: Would he kill himself at the end of it?
- 52:59Speaker 4: Because it seems like he always just wants to die.
- 53:01Speaker 4: He does have a downer life. He's very despotic, yeah.
- 53:04Speaker 4: A very downer life.
- 53:05Speaker 9: Oh my god, yes.
- 53:06Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 53:08Speaker 9: Oh, no.
- 53:12Speaker 4: Okay, on all that, we'll just leave it. On, like,
- 53:17Speaker 4: three out of those four. On most of them, yes.
- 53:19Speaker 9: Which one is the one that you're, like, greenlighting out
- 53:22Speaker 9: of this?
- 53:22Speaker 4: Oh, the Quentin Tarantino. Oh, okay. Yeah. We like that idea.
- 53:25Speaker 9: I forgot that we mentioned that because so many other
- 53:29Speaker 9: things happen.
- 53:29Speaker 4: There's a lot of horrible, horrible things that they do
- 53:32Speaker 4: every week, and we talk about them because that's our thing. Wow.
- 53:35Speaker 9: That's what we do.
- 53:36Speaker 4: So. If nothing else, we will round out the first
- 53:39Speaker 4: part here. And I thought, if nothing else, we should
- 53:41Speaker 4: pay tribute to an awesome dude that passed on.
- 53:45Speaker 8: I didn't even notice this until today.
- 53:46Speaker 9: Gary Coleman or Dennis Hopper are both.
- 53:48Speaker 4: Gary Coleman's dead? Gary Coleman did not really have an
- 53:51Speaker 4: illustrious movie career.
- 53:52Speaker 9: Yeah, but I mean, he was Gary Coleman.
- 53:55Speaker 2: Gary Coleman died?
- 53:56Speaker 9: What was this?
- 53:57Speaker 4: On the Right Track was pretty cool, but I'm the
- 53:59Speaker 4: only one that remembers that movie. I'm sad for Dennis Hopper.
- 54:02Speaker 4: I was like, no.
- 54:03Speaker 2: Dennis Hopper died a long time ago.
- 54:05Speaker 9: No, it was last weekend.
- 54:07Speaker 4: See okay it was like two days ago.
- 54:10Speaker 8: Because i was like thinking i was out.
- 54:12Speaker 4: Of the loop and just he was really sick like
- 54:14Speaker 4: the pictures yeah pictures came out and he was like
- 54:16Speaker 4: a living skeleton so you knew he was getting close
- 54:19Speaker 4: yeah we saw pictures.
- 54:20Speaker 5: Of him back in march he had like a big
- 54:22Speaker 5: yeah he was in bad shape well i'm glad that
- 54:25Speaker 5: he got his star all right before he died.
- 54:28Speaker 2: Yeah he was a great King Koopa.
- 54:30Speaker 8: Funny that I we watched that this week yeah last
- 54:32Speaker 8: week I own that movie personally it's.
- 54:35Speaker 4: Awesome and he's awesome in it which that brought me
- 54:37Speaker 4: to yeah I said that the other day I was
- 54:39Speaker 4: like you know I would watch Dennis Hopper in anything
- 54:41Speaker 4: anything he's in some horrible horrible movies Waterworld was good
- 54:45Speaker 4: and he's likeable yeah the fourth crow movie is terrible
- 54:49Speaker 4: but he's fucking entertaining in it like Waterworld He's hilarious
- 54:53Speaker 4: in Waterworld. I will watch that all the damn time.
- 54:56Speaker 4: So yeah, that's the best thing you can say about
- 54:59Speaker 4: him is that he, aside from being an amazing actor
- 55:02Speaker 4: and he was a groundbreaking director, he really did sort
- 55:06Speaker 4: of change movies at that point when he started directing.
- 55:09Speaker 4: And was a painter and a photographer and, I mean,
- 55:12Speaker 4: you name it, he really was a hell of a
- 55:14Speaker 4: guy anyway.
- 55:14Speaker 5: They said most of his personal wealth was just from him, like,
- 55:18Speaker 5: selling his paintings and stuff.
- 55:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I actually went... I've never seen him.
- 55:22Speaker 4: Neither have I. I drove up and saw, like, a
- 55:24Speaker 4: photography exhibit that he had that I think was in
- 55:26Speaker 4: Cincinnati or somewhere, and it was really cool. It was
- 55:28Speaker 4: very different and, you know, stuff that you wouldn't see
- 55:32Speaker 4: from somebody else. Once again, he was always, like, just
- 55:34Speaker 4: really original in the way that he, you know, as
- 55:36Speaker 4: weird as he was, he's a weird guy, don't get
- 55:38Speaker 4: me wrong, but... He was amazing and fascinating. God, he
- 55:42Speaker 4: was crazy at Blue Velvet.
- 55:44Speaker 9: 74.
- 55:44Speaker 2: And he has a seven-year-old daughter.
- 55:47Speaker 9: Yep, yep.
- 55:48Speaker 4: And once again, he's a fascinating guy. Strong swimmers.
- 55:54Speaker 2: And didn't Art Link.
- 55:55Speaker 5: Let her die?
- 55:56Speaker 4: Yeah, that was earlier in the week, yep.
- 55:58Speaker 8: Okay, but Gary Coleman, what the hell happened? Did he
- 56:02Speaker 8: have cancer of his butt?
- 56:03Speaker 4: He's had problems his whole life. Obviously, his health issues
- 56:06Speaker 4: have always been in question, but Yeah, he fell, like,
- 56:10Speaker 4: earlier in the week and hit his head, and then
- 56:12Speaker 4: he was in the hospital and having other problems and whatever.
- 56:16Speaker 9: If I died from falling and hitting my head, I
- 56:18Speaker 9: would have been dead, like.
- 56:20Speaker 4: That's true. But then who among us wouldn't be dead
- 56:23Speaker 4: at this point? Oh, well, that sucks.
- 56:26Speaker 2: You know, I saw Gary Coleman. He was on an
- 56:27Speaker 2: episode of Drake and Josh on Nickelodeon.
- 56:29Speaker 4: Oh, really?
- 56:31Speaker 2: I like that show. Drake's kind of hot.
- 56:32Speaker 4: Was he still a security guard?
- 56:35Speaker 2: Yes.
- 56:35Speaker 4: Oh.
- 56:37Speaker 2: That kid's got spunk. He's going places.
- 56:38Speaker 4: I don't know about that.
- 56:41Speaker 9: Josh is thin now.
- 56:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 56:43Speaker 4: He looks kind of weird. Yeah. I'm not used to
- 56:45Speaker 4: seeing him like that.
- 56:46Speaker 2: His face is still kind of big.
- 56:47Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 56:48Speaker 4: But his body is like really teeny.
- 56:49Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 56:50Speaker 4: Peter Jackson. Yeah. That's weird. Or like, what's his face
- 56:54Speaker 4: from Superbad? He looks weird now. I'm sorry.
- 56:57Speaker 2: He got big again.
- 56:58Speaker 4: Did he? No, he's not thin now.
- 57:00Speaker 9: He's in that new movie that's coming out.
- 57:03Speaker 4: Yeah, but he's not like he used to be. No,
- 57:05Speaker 4: he is big. He used to be pretty. He's bigger.
- 57:07Speaker 4: He's bigger. Okay. Because he looked weird when he lost
- 57:10Speaker 4: all that. I think he's just been eating like bags
- 57:11Speaker 4: of marshmallows. Good. Because he looked freaking weird when he
- 57:14Speaker 4: lost all that weight. I don't know what was up
- 57:15Speaker 4: with that. Because, well, yeah, wasn't his face the same size?
- 57:18Speaker 2: I like wanting to pinch his cheeks and be like,
- 57:20Speaker 2: you need to eat something.
- 57:22Speaker 4: Oh, look at you all small.
- 57:24Speaker 9: You're just not funny when you're not fat.
- 57:26Speaker 4: That's usually what they find out.
- 57:28Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 57:29Speaker 4: When you're the comic lead, you better not lose weight
- 57:31Speaker 4: or you lose your job.
- 57:32Speaker 9: They're so funny. Shit.
- 57:34Speaker 2: That's why you got laid. Get that weight back on.
- 57:36Speaker 4: Man, really.
- 57:37Speaker 9: All right.
- 57:38Speaker 8: They can see it, and that's all that matters. I'm sorry, everybody.
- 57:45Speaker 9: Moving on.
- 57:46Speaker 4: So if nothing else, we'll round up the first half
- 57:49Speaker 4: of the show here. And yeah, I was trying to
- 57:51Speaker 4: find something cool and Dennis Hopper related to play. And
- 57:55Speaker 4: I think I'd forgotten that he was actually in a
- 57:57Speaker 4: song with the Gorillaz. Yes. And he does like a
- 58:02Speaker 4: big spoken word thing. It's really cool. And, yeah, I
- 58:06Speaker 4: went back to find out when, and it's, yeah, this
- 58:08Speaker 4: was from, you know, 2004. So he would have been 68.
- 58:12Speaker 4: 68 and hanging out with, you know, rock stars of
- 58:14Speaker 4: the day. So, I mean, how cool. You know that
- 58:16Speaker 4: he's a cool old dude. That's awesome. Yeah, that's how
- 58:19Speaker 4: cool he was.
- 58:20Speaker 8: I'll have to listen to the show and hear it.
- 58:22Speaker 4: Yeah, this would be fire coming out of a monkey's head,
- 58:25Speaker 4: which is very Gorillaz, obviously.
- 58:27Speaker 9: Wasn't he, like, a beat poet, though?
- 58:29Speaker 4: Again, he did a little of everything. So this is
- 58:33Speaker 4: actually a very good mixture because it's very much his
- 58:35Speaker 4: more artistic side mixed in with their music. So yeah,
- 58:38Speaker 4: it's actually a good conglomeration of the both of them.
- 58:42Speaker 8: Did Dennis Hopper ever have an album like.
- 58:44Speaker 10: it just hasn't come out yet oh i'm sure now
- 58:49Speaker 10: they were released telly fucking zavala yeah i have that
- 58:53Speaker 10: on vinyl you.
- 58:55Speaker 9: Know i was really disappointed that uh i couldn't find
- 58:58Speaker 9: paradise garage i kind of like really wanted to listen
- 59:01Speaker 9: to that.
- 59:01Speaker 4: I have it on cd yeah i know i know
- 59:04Speaker 4: i got an.
- 59:04Speaker 6: Anthony hopkins spoken word wow um it was just a

- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Once upon a time at the foot of a great mountain, there.
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: Was a town where the people known as happy folk lived.
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: their very existence a mystery to the rest of the.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: World, obscured as it was by great clouds. Here they
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: played out their peaceful lives, innocent of the litany of excess.
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: And violence that was growing in the world below.
- 1:01:10Speaker 17: To live in harmony with the spirit of the mountain
- 1:01:12Speaker 17: called monkey was enough.
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: Then one day.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Strange folk arrived in the town.
- 1:01:19Speaker 14: They came in camouflage, hidden behind.
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: Dark glasses, and no one noticed them.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: They only saw shadows. You see, without the truth of
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: the eyes, the happy folk were blind.
- 1:01:33Speaker 12: Falling out of airplanes and hiding out in holes, waiting
- 1:01:38Speaker 12: for the sunset to come, people going home. Jump that
- 1:01:43Speaker 12: broom behind them and shoot them in the head Now
- 1:01:48Speaker 12: everybody's dancing for Dance of the Dead For Dance of
- 1:01:53Speaker 12: the Dead For Dance of.
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: The Dead.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: In time, the strange folk found their way into the
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: higher reaches of the mountain, and it was there that
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: they found the caves of unimaginable sincerity and beauty. By chance,
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: they stumbled upon the place where all good souls.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: Come to rest.
- 1:02:26Speaker 14: The strange folk, they coveted the jewels in these caves
- 1:02:30Speaker 14: above all things, and soon they began to mine the mountain,
- 1:02:34Speaker 14: its rich scene fueling the chaos of their own world.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: Meanwhile, down in the town, the happy folk slept restlessly,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: their dreams invaded by shadowy figures digging.
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: Away at their souls.
- 1:02:49Speaker 17: Every day, people would wake and stare at the mountain,
- 1:02:53Speaker 17: Why was it bringing darkness into their lives? And as
- 1:02:57Speaker 17: the strange folk climbed deeper and deeper into the.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Mountain, holes began to appear, bringing with them a cold
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: and bitter wind that chilled the very soul of the monkey.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: For the first time, the happy folk felt fearful, for
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: they knew that soon the monkey would stir from its
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: deep sleep. Then there came a sound. Distant first, it
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: grew into a castrophony so immense that it could be
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: heard far away in space. There were no screams. There
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: was no time. The mountain-cold monkey had spoken.
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: There was only fire. And then, nothing.
- 1:03:38Speaker 12: What kind of beer do you like?
- 1:03:40Speaker 6: Heineken.
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: Heineken?
- 1:03:42Speaker 9: Fuck that shit!
