- 1:53Speaker 3: away from me.
- 1:55Speaker 5: I'm on weekend mode a little bit already.
- 1:57Speaker 6: That's not what I meant. I didn't mean like week
- 2:00Speaker 6: in mode already. So you have step into the show.
- 2:02Speaker 6: I was just saying, like weekend vibes already. That's a
- 2:06Speaker 6: that's a different situation the way you said it was.
- 2:09Speaker 6: You're like, I'm here, but I'm not really here. No,
- 2:13Speaker 6: I don't here, but my soul is in the week I.
- 2:16Speaker 5: Feel energetic, feel excited. I'm feeling like, uh, I got
- 2:20Speaker 5: some fun energy right now.
- 2:24Speaker 3: You're buttoned up today, little there ball.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Yeah, pearl snapped up, not buttoned up?
- 2:33Speaker 3: I mean it is a button. I guess technically, is it.
- 2:38Speaker 5: I don't think it is. That's our question to myself. Yeah,
- 2:42Speaker 5: I don't think a pearl step could be considered a button. Yeah,
- 2:45Speaker 5: I think there's a pretty specific to a snap and
- 2:49Speaker 5: a button.
- 2:50Speaker 3: It's fair. It's fair.
- 2:51Speaker 6: I hate that it's fair, and I agree with you,
- 2:53Speaker 6: but I I agree with you. Yeah, I don't look now,
- 2:58Speaker 6: but if you look on Poncho's website, they got a
- 3:00Speaker 6: new shirt called the Old Death Valley. A couple of
- 3:04Speaker 6: professional male models in there too, bo a couple of
- 3:07Speaker 6: male models.
- 3:08Speaker 5: Right here, you're looking at people. It's not that big
- 3:10Speaker 5: of a deal. But it's kind of a big deal.
- 3:15Speaker 5: Oh see, we're already we can talk a lot of things,
- 3:19Speaker 5: so it's not We're not just a couple of faces
- 3:21Speaker 5: up here.
- 3:26Speaker 3: We're laughing at just how many people send us those pictures?
- 3:30Speaker 5: How you feeling?
- 3:30Speaker 3: Trying to get free poncho from us.
- 3:35Speaker 5: Ain't gonna happen. Get in line. I know, it's amazing
- 3:42Speaker 5: how many people wear poncho.
- 3:43Speaker 6: Right. We didn't even announce it like it got announced.
- 3:48Speaker 6: I didn't even know it was happening, like an email fly. Yeah,
- 3:51Speaker 6: and a lot of our friends, ones that are close
- 3:54Speaker 6: to us, are like, we didn't know this was happening.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Can y'all get us some free stuff?
- 3:58Speaker 5: Yep? Here on off the bench, we got a couple
- 4:02Speaker 5: of him former football players, current male models summers saying.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Some are saying taking it into the weekend.
- 4:12Speaker 6: Oh, everything else is good though, it is like football
- 4:15Speaker 6: season when you have like a random Raiders and Seahawks
- 4:19Speaker 6: preseason game on that you didn't really know was coming
- 4:21Speaker 6: on that late, and you're like, I hustling it a
- 4:24Speaker 6: little bit, and then you know you got more to come,
- 4:27Speaker 6: and you got the Saints and Chargers coming up this weekend,
- 4:30Speaker 6: like you got everybody between high school, college pros and
- 4:34Speaker 6: pads and just continuing to stride towards the season, got
- 4:39Speaker 6: like jamborees and scrimmages for high school coming up here
- 4:43Speaker 6: pretty soon.
- 4:43Speaker 3: You got joint practices.
- 4:46Speaker 5: Next week, I believe.
- 4:47Speaker 3: So I think they go, now, crate me for wrong?
- 4:50Speaker 5: Is it?
- 4:50Speaker 6: Is it scrimmage, jamboree game, jambree scrimmage game, Taylor.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Scrimmage, jamboreething game? So the jambere I have to calls
- 4:57Speaker 4: the twenty eighth?
- 4:59Speaker 3: You have to call a jamboree. Yep, did you know
- 5:03Speaker 3: their voice and everything?
- 5:07Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 5:08Speaker 4: We could probably AI Yet the probably doesn't matter at
- 5:11Speaker 4: this point.
- 5:12Speaker 3: You're who's that?
- 5:15Speaker 5: It's? Uh so?
- 5:16Speaker 4: Well, like I was telling Matt before the show, the
- 5:18Speaker 4: team that I'm assigned is Episcopal. It's been my team.
- 5:21Speaker 4: I guess this is the third football season, so it's
- 5:24Speaker 4: just there jamburey. I think it's Saint Michael Piscopal St.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Michael.
- 5:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:30Speaker 6: I'm trying to find the date on Jackson's right now
- 5:33Speaker 6: so I can make sure that I saved the date
- 5:35Speaker 6: on that jamburee scrimmage.
- 5:37Speaker 5: Yea, I never. I don't think jamborees exists outside Louisiana.
- 5:44Speaker 5: Craig me. They were not a thing in Texas. I
- 5:50Speaker 5: don't know when I came. I remember going to a
- 5:54Speaker 5: jambuary when I was when I came to college here,
- 5:56Speaker 5: and I was like, what's it jamburee?
- 5:57Speaker 3: Yeah, like three or that was a Texas guy.
- 6:01Speaker 5: I had no idea.
- 6:02Speaker 6: Jesus, there's three or four teams like get together sometimes
- 6:06Speaker 6: and you'll play this team a little bit, that team
- 6:08Speaker 6: a little bit, and you.
- 6:09Speaker 5: Just kind of no, I get it now, but it's
- 6:11Speaker 5: I don't think it's a thing outside of Louisiana. Yeah,
- 6:13Speaker 5: at least was in Texas. And the part that I
- 6:16Speaker 5: was at least i'd never heard the word. You never
- 6:19Speaker 5: heard the word no Elandra. Do you know what a
- 6:22Speaker 5: jamboree is. There's a lot of words that you've never
- 6:24Speaker 5: heard when you come to Louisiana and like you've never
- 6:26Speaker 5: been there, and jamboree was certainly one of them.
- 6:29Speaker 2: I feel like I heard the word jamboree before, but
- 6:32Speaker 2: I don't think we ever had one. Like I don't
- 6:34Speaker 2: know about schools getting together and doing it well. Also,
- 6:38Speaker 2: we did do like pep rallies, but it wasn't like
- 6:41Speaker 2: all the schools come together like three or four whatever.
- 6:44Speaker 6: But well, how else would you talk about beating Bainebell
- 6:46Speaker 6: if you didn't have a pep rally?
- 6:48Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, you know, yeah sad. How was y'all'
- 6:54Speaker 5: pep rallies?
- 6:55Speaker 2: Were?
- 6:55Speaker 5: They? They pretty good?
- 6:57Speaker 2: I mean they were pretty good. Yeah, we had I
- 6:59Speaker 2: went to two Biggish schools, like the first the first
- 7:03Speaker 2: one I went to is like medium sized, and then
- 7:05Speaker 2: the second one I went supersized. Yeah, the second one
- 7:08Speaker 2: I went to was huge, like it was in Santa
- 7:10Speaker 2: It was huge. The six A. If they had a
- 7:12Speaker 2: seven A, it was probably gonna be seven A.
- 7:14Speaker 6: I'm sitting here thinking about your situation, maybe why you
- 7:17Speaker 6: didn't have jamboreez.
- 7:19Speaker 3: You only had four teams in your district?
- 7:21Speaker 5: Guy, Yeah, but had that? That is the jamb the
- 7:24Speaker 5: jamburee something normal jam we would scrimmage somebody. Well, I'm
- 7:29Speaker 5: just saying the word jamboree is not a situation outside
- 7:32Speaker 5: of the state lines, Okay, I don't think from Texas
- 7:38Speaker 5: or Mississippi or wherever.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Actually it doesn't really matter.
- 7:41Speaker 5: I mean maybe like the Southern heard of jamboree. You know,
- 7:46Speaker 5: maybe I don't think so. I definitely think or thought
- 7:51Speaker 5: until like we're talking about it right now, that is
- 7:54Speaker 5: a specifically a Louisiana term for just a bunch of
- 7:57Speaker 5: high school teams getting together and playing tackle football.
- 8:00Speaker 3: I do remember going in gosh Ty, I think what
- 8:05Speaker 3: year it was.
- 8:05Speaker 6: I went to like Rustin had a jamboree, and there
- 8:09Speaker 6: was this just mean, nasty, tough, little redhead defensive lineman
- 8:17Speaker 6: that was real angry. Now, I mean like I wouldn't
- 8:21Speaker 6: know we weren't playing. We were just like they were
- 8:23Speaker 6: on Thursday night. And I think like some other team
- 8:25Speaker 6: that we were playing was in then Russell was in
- 8:27Speaker 6: our district too, so like a little little scouting situation,
- 8:32Speaker 6: and yeah, nobody could block Kyle Williams.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I do remember that. I was like, why is
- 8:38Speaker 3: he so mad?
- 8:41Speaker 5: Why's he like?
- 8:42Speaker 3: Why does Moor never stopped this guy news a jamboree.
- 8:46Speaker 5: This is this guy knows it's August fourteen.
- 8:51Speaker 6: Lord, I know the offensive line and wish that he
- 8:55Speaker 6: was thinking about it being August fourteen.
- 8:57Speaker 5: But then they did did the same thing in college. Yes, yes,
- 9:00Speaker 5: I remember my guys. My buddy's in Green Bay, Josh sitting.
- 9:03Speaker 5: Actually we talked about who was a three year, four
- 9:06Speaker 5: time all pro. We said mm hmm. He was like, hey,
- 9:11Speaker 5: this is this second or third year, so hey, can
- 9:15Speaker 5: you call your buddy Kyle because we were playing Buffalo,
- 9:18Speaker 5: can you just tell him, like to relax a little bit,
- 9:21Speaker 5: like he didn't have to play to the past.
- 9:24Speaker 3: The whistle, the echo of the way.
- 9:26Speaker 5: He's like, if I lock him up, just tell him
- 9:28Speaker 5: to chill.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Yeah, hey, forgot you. I got you, right, I got you,
- 9:31Speaker 3: I got you.
- 9:31Speaker 5: I don't want to this fight.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Yeah, well Kyle does.
- 9:34Speaker 5: Yeah, Yeah, didn't happen. That was like and uh I
- 9:38Speaker 5: had the same motors Kyle Vandenbush.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:41Speaker 5: The most scary human being used to wear red contact lenses. Yeah,
- 9:48Speaker 5: he used to wear white out contact lenses. So when
- 9:50Speaker 5: you look at him, all you didn't see any like
- 9:52Speaker 5: pupils or colors and white eyes see.
- 9:55Speaker 6: But the good thing about Kyle Williams, Kyle didn't have
- 9:57Speaker 6: to do all that. No, he didn't know it like
- 9:59Speaker 6: you already like yeah, normalized, but he was.
- 10:02Speaker 5: But like a but a normal human who could just
- 10:04Speaker 5: turn on, just had a motor like he just just
- 10:05Speaker 5: went Cale Vanabis was one of these guys like like
- 10:09Speaker 5: nothing would shock me about his life right now, Like
- 10:11Speaker 5: he's were still wearing those contact lenses, like if I'm
- 10:13Speaker 5: walking down yeah, if I'm walking down the road here
- 10:16Speaker 5: in bant Rouge, and like he's just I look up
- 10:18Speaker 5: in a tree and he's just sitting in a tree
- 10:20Speaker 5: one day like that, nothing would surprise me about him,
- 10:22Speaker 5: Like he just kind of loose cannon. Yeah, scary. What
- 10:26Speaker 5: about good player?
- 10:27Speaker 6: What about former teammates or even like former LSU guys
- 10:30Speaker 6: you played against in the NFL.
- 10:32Speaker 5: How is how is that former LSU guys?
- 10:35Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 10:35Speaker 6: Did you ever have one that may be like really
- 10:39Speaker 6: tried to hurt you? Yeah, really really hard.
- 10:43Speaker 5: I told I told Jack Murchie's the story this past
- 10:45Speaker 5: weekend when we were at camp. This might shock you
- 10:49Speaker 5: at who it is, but somebody tried to hurt me,
- 10:54Speaker 5: tried to end my career. Try to put me out,
- 10:55Speaker 5: maybe put me in the hospital. And he's a friend
- 10:58Speaker 5: of ours and his name is Craig Steltz, a rookie year.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Oh really, yep, a rookie year war Daddy. We're playing.
- 11:06Speaker 5: It's December. We are playing on the road, Chicago Bears,
- 11:11Speaker 5: Soldier Stadium, Solderfield, Solder Stadium, Soderfield, Soldier Field, Solderfield. If
- 11:17Speaker 5: you only played there once a year every year of
- 11:19Speaker 5: your career, basically a couple a couple times. I have
- 11:22Speaker 5: played twice. We went there and it was so there
- 11:26Speaker 5: was a huge winter storm that came through Wendy. So
- 11:30Speaker 5: we got there on a Sunday. It was Andy City, Yeah,
- 11:32Speaker 5: super windy, super cold, and it was like Christmas so
- 11:34Speaker 5: like they had all the Christmas lights on it. So
- 11:36Speaker 5: we so we stay I can't remember the name of
- 11:38Speaker 5: the hotel. We stay right on Michigan Avenue, so like
- 11:40Speaker 5: right in the middle of all the shopping and everything. Yeah,
- 11:43Speaker 5: and so we get there and you know, you get
- 11:46Speaker 5: there on a Sunday for a Monday game. You're watching
- 11:48Speaker 5: all the games in the hotel that are playing, and
- 11:50Speaker 5: it a winter storm came through and it was that
- 11:53Speaker 5: night it was minus forty five degrees wind chill in Chicago.
- 11:59Speaker 5: So there was actually on like you know you get
- 12:01Speaker 5: like a tornado warning, flash flood warning on TV. There
- 12:05Speaker 5: was a wind chill warning in Chicago that said do
- 12:09Speaker 5: not be outside for more than five minutes at a
- 12:12Speaker 5: time because at that point you can form ice crystals
- 12:14Speaker 5: in your lungs, sure like normal things. And so like
- 12:20Speaker 5: if the game would have been scheduled for a Sunday
- 12:23Speaker 5: night football game, it would have been canceled because of
- 12:26Speaker 5: the cold tempered extreme temperatures. So the next day, so
- 12:30Speaker 5: we're playing on money. So like there's a heat heat
- 12:32Speaker 5: front that came through the game of Monday.
- 12:35Speaker 3: He got out to negative seven.
- 12:37Speaker 5: I was nine as twenty two during the game wind chill,
- 12:41Speaker 5: so I think the real temple was like minus five.
- 12:44Speaker 5: Then the wind chill was minus twenty two. And I'm
- 12:49Speaker 5: the backup quarterback, right, So but this whole week leading
- 12:52Speaker 5: up to where we have this, I think it's called
- 12:53Speaker 5: the play is called Pittsburgh. I think it was a
- 12:55Speaker 5: fake punt. But they're gonna sneak me onto the field
- 12:58Speaker 5: as a personal protector. I'm gonna take a snap, I'm
- 13:01Speaker 5: gonna roll out, and this is a it's a fake punch.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Why does everybody think you can do that?
- 13:07Speaker 5: Yeah? I don't know, it's really don't yeah, really don't. Sorry,
- 13:09Speaker 5: go ahead, And so we do this and it's like
- 13:13Speaker 5: mid second I can't remember if it was mid second
- 13:15Speaker 5: quarter or mid third quarter, but i'd been on the
- 13:17Speaker 5: sideline for a long time in minus twenty two as
- 13:19Speaker 5: a backup quarterback. Yeah, frozen a popsicle, And all of
- 13:24Speaker 5: a sudden, I'm like, there's no way they're gonna call it.
- 13:26Speaker 5: And then I see Mike McCarthy talking to the special
- 13:29Speaker 5: teams go. She's like, we're gonna do Pittsburgh. Oh, And
- 13:31Speaker 5: I'm like, what, Like, there's first of all, I don't
- 13:34Speaker 5: know if I can catch the ball. I don't know
- 13:35Speaker 5: if I can grip a ball. Yeah, damn sure. Now
- 13:37Speaker 5: I can't throw a ball right now.
- 13:39Speaker 6: And if you try to throw on the sidelines that that,
- 13:42Speaker 6: you know, the Bears would have been.
- 13:43Speaker 5: Like, yeah, you can't throw, you can't warm up? Is
- 13:45Speaker 5: he doing that? Yeah? Okay? So I'm like, all right,
- 13:48Speaker 5: let's do this. Let's rip it. You know, having played
- 13:51Speaker 5: taken a real snap in the NFL all year, but
- 13:53Speaker 5: let's just go ahead and do this, December, let's rip it.
- 13:56Speaker 5: So I run out there, I throw my cape down.
- 13:58Speaker 5: Run out there. I'm like trying to hide myself, and
- 14:00Speaker 5: of course Craig Steltz is on the put returns. Of
- 14:04Speaker 5: course he sees me. He starts yelling quarterback, quarterback, And
- 14:08Speaker 5: then I felt like the whole entire crowd was yelling quarterback. Yeah,
- 14:13Speaker 5: because of course they knew it.
- 14:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:14Speaker 5: So I'm sitting there and I'm still like trying to hide.
- 14:16Speaker 5: I got my head down, trying to like hide my jersey.
- 14:18Speaker 5: I'm trying to like move my arms in I hide
- 14:21Speaker 5: my number, and I'm like, I'm just praying. I'm like,
- 14:23Speaker 5: oh my god, please, nobody be open. Nobody be open,
- 14:27Speaker 5: because I don't want to throw the ball. Ye, because
- 14:28Speaker 5: I'm an NFL quarterback. When people go back and watch
- 14:31Speaker 5: the film, they don't know it's negative twenty two. Yeah,
- 14:34Speaker 5: like you don't see the elements when you go back
- 14:36Speaker 5: and look at it and number ten to a duck, Yeah, exactly, somebody,
- 14:39Speaker 5: I pray, And so all right, I take the snap.
- 14:42Speaker 5: I thank the God I caught it didn't shatter my hands.
- 14:45Speaker 5: I roll out to the right and I'm looking and
- 14:47Speaker 5: I'm acting like I'm actually gonna look down field and
- 14:49Speaker 5: make this throw, like I'm acting like showing my coaches
- 14:52Speaker 5: that I want to I want to throw this ball.
- 14:55Speaker 5: Everyone was like they knew as the quarterback. Everybody was covered.
- 14:58Speaker 5: Thank god.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Yeah, so I take off running. What's it down to distance?
- 15:01Speaker 3: You remember?
- 15:02Speaker 5: I think it was like I think we had like
- 15:03Speaker 5: eight or nine together, so long. Yeah, take off running.
- 15:06Speaker 5: Maybe it's less, it might've been like six or seven.
- 15:08Speaker 5: But I take off front of get the first down.
- 15:12Speaker 5: I slide. All of a sudden, I look up and
- 15:14Speaker 5: I see this Chicago bear diving over my head like
- 15:19Speaker 5: trying to take me out. I'm like, all right, I
- 15:21Speaker 5: didn't I had no clue who it was whatever. Yeah,
- 15:24Speaker 5: the next day I find a still shot that it
- 15:27Speaker 5: was either on it was online or something. It's me sliding,
- 15:30Speaker 5: so I slow slid, get the first down. I'm sliding
- 15:33Speaker 5: and my head's back and there's this Chicago bear named
- 15:36Speaker 5: Craig Steltz, completely flat with his crowd of his helmet
- 15:41Speaker 5: down like duck, trying to like take me out while
- 15:45Speaker 5: I'm sliding, like right over my head. I was like, yep,
- 15:48Speaker 5: that's my guy.
- 15:49Speaker 6: Yeah, that's our unform stuff here is brethren. That that's
- 15:56Speaker 6: just who Craig was for the most part. He kind
- 15:58Speaker 6: of brother in law with me a little bit doing
- 16:00Speaker 6: special teams when we played the Bears.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Yeah, it was kind of like alright, alrights, all right,
- 16:04Speaker 3: all right, right, but he tried to hurt you try
- 16:07Speaker 3: to hurt me.
- 16:07Speaker 6: I don't know how this relationship really was. I don't
- 16:09Speaker 6: know if like, maybe not as solid as you thought.
- 16:11Speaker 6: It was minus twenty two degrees cold. If he hit me,
- 16:14Speaker 6: does my head pop off? Yes, I don't know. Summer asking,
- 16:18Speaker 6: there's there's there's got to be, like we can find that.

- 19:29Speaker 3: love chet that still trying to take your head off
- 19:32Speaker 3: when he was brother in law with me, jerk. I
- 19:34Speaker 3: mean it was my.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Roommate though, And it's not like he didn't know it's me.
- 19:38Speaker 3: He called, He told everybody in the stadium it was you.
- 19:41Speaker 5: I was a little upset when I learned recently that
- 19:45Speaker 5: Darryl Hall and John Oates don't get along anymore. We
- 19:50Speaker 5: talked about this in Atlanta, Atlanta with your with your
- 19:53Speaker 5: serious career. Yeah, yeah, they don't get in the background
- 19:57Speaker 5: whatever by the way, whatever Mexican.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:01Speaker 5: And they had a big like a projector screen playing
- 20:06Speaker 5: just like a live Haulling Oates concert, and they're like, yeah, well,
- 20:10Speaker 5: one of the guys there, I think, I don't know
- 20:11Speaker 5: if he's a producer or what. He's a producers he
- 20:15Speaker 5: knew Tony Skaggs knew everything there was to know about
- 20:19Speaker 5: Darryl Hall, and yeah, they don't get along apparently, and
- 20:24Speaker 5: that's tragic for all of humanity.
- 20:26Speaker 3: I feel like there's a lot of bands.
- 20:28Speaker 6: Alandra and I were talking about this not that long ago,
- 20:30Speaker 6: because we're talking Oasis, and there's a lot of bands.
- 20:33Speaker 3: That just don't like each other very much. I know
- 20:37Speaker 3: I didn't have much time around each other.
- 20:40Speaker 6: You're fighting for a creative fame a little bit like
- 20:43Speaker 6: who's gonna be in front, who's gonna be in the back.
- 20:46Speaker 5: Do you think that's it? You think there? It's like
- 20:47Speaker 5: they're fame butting a little bit, a lot of little jealousy.
- 20:50Speaker 2: I think Darryl Hall and John Oates is like a
- 20:51Speaker 2: money thing, like I think there's like a lawsuit involved contract.
- 20:56Speaker 5: At the beginning, I got fifty they were never.
- 21:00Speaker 6: Like gone By hallow Oates. People just started calling them that,
- 21:02Speaker 6: but like their albums are their full name.
- 21:04Speaker 2: It is the full name. And then one time I
- 21:06Speaker 2: said it that way and like somebody in here corrected
- 21:08Speaker 2: me and I was like, I don't remember if it
- 21:10Speaker 2: was like t Bob, Probably not Taylor he like, but
- 21:12Speaker 2: it was probably Teach Bob, and I'm like, no, no, no,
- 21:14Speaker 2: I know that it's Darryl Hall and.
- 21:16Speaker 6: John O's That's that's actually what they always went by,
- 21:19Speaker 6: but people.
- 21:20Speaker 3: Just shortened it to Hallanos. Yeah.
- 21:24Speaker 5: I always like when I say they're a hall in
- 21:28Speaker 5: John Oates, like I always hesitate before I say John Huts.
- 21:33Speaker 5: Do you know? I like I get names wrong quite often,
- 21:36Speaker 5: Like I'm not great with names, but I always felt like, no,
- 21:39Speaker 5: that's the Texas Rangers baseball manager Johnny Oats like it.
- 21:43Speaker 5: So I'm like, I'm getting it wrong somehow, but I'm not.
- 21:49Speaker 5: Johnny Oats, get a save that story for yourself. No,
- 21:54Speaker 5: I just wanted to give a shout out the nineties Texas.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Rangers and your rain man like nineteen nineties Texas Ranger
- 22:00Speaker 3: knowledge mid nineteen ninety mid late.
- 22:06Speaker 5: Early was I was still like six seven years old,
- 22:08Speaker 5: but I was getting there late late definitely.
- 22:11Speaker 3: Yeah, certainly a sweet spot.
- 22:13Speaker 2: So Darryl sued John to obtain a temporary restraining order
- 22:17Speaker 2: to stop John from selling his share of their joint
- 22:20Speaker 2: business venture.
- 22:22Speaker 5: Oh, it was like a separate situation, like.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Yeah, separate whole Oats enterprises, scart. I don't know what
- 22:30Speaker 2: it's like, uh, I don't know what it is. Actually
- 22:34Speaker 2: looks like a music thing, like maybe a label or something.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Whole Oats enterprises. They're beefing over that.
- 22:40Speaker 4: You know, John always has to be selfish. Everyone says
- 22:43Speaker 4: that or selfish John.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I've always said John Rights.
- 22:52Speaker 2: I think so too. They have some bangers.
- 22:55Speaker 5: Are we doing hollo oas Friday?
- 22:57Speaker 3: Yeah we can.
- 22:58Speaker 6: We can do a halloo like first hour and then
- 23:00Speaker 6: the second hour we can switch, and then third hour
- 23:03Speaker 6: we switch.
- 23:04Speaker 5: They got more than three though, Yeah, for.
- 23:06Speaker 6: Sure, but they got three like solid, like solid Okay,
- 23:10Speaker 6: I think they got like three megas.
- 23:15Speaker 2: I mean this one rich girl, Rich girls.
- 23:20Speaker 3: I didn't say they didn't have private all right. I
- 23:25Speaker 3: guess we go for as long as we can.
- 23:27Speaker 5: Hey, what a great movie. Uh, She's out of my league?
- 23:31Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 23:32Speaker 5: And the uh the guy has a Halo Notes cover band. Yeah,
- 23:37Speaker 5: that's great. Earlin from What's the Silicon Valley sitcom?
- 23:43Speaker 3: Oh?
- 23:43Speaker 5: That Silicon Valley?
- 23:45Speaker 3: That's literally what this show is called.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Anyway, Shooting Duo Friday says Matt's and the BAYEU for
- 23:51Speaker 2: YouTube chat. What's another with a few?
- 23:55Speaker 5: How about me and Jacob? Yesterday? A lot of takes.
- 23:58Speaker 5: Let's agree.
- 23:58Speaker 3: Uh take that tiger droppings.
- 24:01Speaker 5: Yeah. We almost came to Blues yesterday a couple of times.
- 24:07Speaker 5: What about I can't remember.
- 24:09Speaker 2: I mean either I had to separate y'all in the break.
- 24:11Speaker 2: I was like, no, don't do this.
- 24:18Speaker 4: Matt was swinging one of those helmets like crazy.
- 24:20Speaker 5: It was weird. Got weird. I won.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Nobody believes that I won.
- 24:30Speaker 5: Quarterbacks never going to be a fullback. Maybe maybe choo
- 24:35Speaker 5: quarterback versus former fullback. That's true, that's fair.
- 24:42Speaker 6: Uh, speaking of did y'all see the Seahawks last night?
- 24:47Speaker 3: Full back? What a full back? It was?
- 24:52Speaker 6: I formation, it was offset, it was all of it,
- 24:56Speaker 6: and they were running the football.
- 24:58Speaker 5: Are we on the Seahawks right now? I think O
- 25:01Speaker 5: TV we could become with Seahawks.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:03Speaker 6: Well, I mean, look, they've got like a depens minded
- 25:05Speaker 6: head shareleader. I guess somebody that's in the hardball tree.
- 25:09Speaker 5: I love the GM.
- 25:10Speaker 6: He's gonna I do as well, Like they're going to Uh,
- 25:13Speaker 6: they're going to have an old school nature to him.
- 25:16Speaker 5: There's nobody there. I have negative thought. Ross gone, Yeah,
- 25:20Speaker 5: that's good, let's go. Did you okay? So you were
- 25:23Speaker 5: teammates Marshawn Lynch. You love Marshawn Lynch, Right, So the.
- 25:26Speaker 6: Running the running back goes and he scores a touchdown
- 25:29Speaker 6: and Marshawn Lynch was actually a photographer on the sideline.
- 25:33Speaker 3: He had the vests and everything.
- 25:34Speaker 6: He's taking pictures and the running back for the Seahawks
- 25:37Speaker 6: scores and he kind of like is backing into Marshaw
- 25:39Speaker 6: and Marshawn kind of checks him a little bit with
- 25:43Speaker 6: an elbow.
- 25:44Speaker 5: I was like, Marshawn did step inside the dotted line
- 25:47Speaker 5: though he was about a foot where he shouldn't have been.
- 25:51Speaker 3: Is he gonna tell him?
- 25:52Speaker 5: And like what was he doing? Like do you think
- 25:55Speaker 5: he's just doing that for S and g's or do
- 25:59Speaker 5: you think that he he was doing some sort of
- 26:01Speaker 5: like funny promo like they were filming him maybe for
- 26:04Speaker 5: like one of the Amazon things, Amazon Thursday Night Football.
- 26:07Speaker 6: Because Ken Griffy Jr. And Randy Johnson to Baseball Hall
- 26:12Speaker 6: of Famers, they are photographers.
- 26:14Speaker 5: That so it's just a Seattle thing, Seattle former stars.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Yeah, they're very hippie over there.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Look at that. I didn't even think about that. Look
- 26:23Speaker 3: at you, big brain. Outside of the Rangers knowledge with
- 26:26Speaker 3: the baseball stuff.
- 26:27Speaker 5: I know. I write a lot of King Griffy Junior
- 26:29Speaker 5: Baseball on Super Nintendo, as.
- 26:31Speaker 3: We all did. Jay Bunor, even though it wasn't Ja Jun.
- 26:36Speaker 5: If you hadn't played that one, that was the best
- 26:38Speaker 5: baseball game I ever created. I think that I hadn't
- 26:40Speaker 5: played a baseball game in good twenty years, but yeah,
- 26:43Speaker 5: still the best one. I would say that because they
- 26:48Speaker 5: like to film Marshawn just doing things, all random things
- 26:51Speaker 5: all over the world, I would say, is he probably
- 26:53Speaker 5: had a camera on him. Maybe so and so that.
- 26:56Speaker 3: I also think that instincts kicked in.
- 26:59Speaker 5: Oh yeah, for sure. No, I'm just saying that's a why.
- 27:02Speaker 3: My young running back. No, hold up, wait a minute.
- 27:05Speaker 5: Marshawn's Marshawn Man. Love that guy.
- 27:08Speaker 6: We're the same draft class and the same high school class.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Sorry, oh four, yeah.
- 27:16Speaker 5: I see. He almost came a little.
- 27:17Speaker 3: Bit rated, just a little bit higher than there was
- 27:20Speaker 3: a there was a time breaking out.
- 27:21Speaker 5: There's rumors in like eighto nine, maybe maybe maybe ten
- 27:27Speaker 5: that he there was a trade situation talks happened in
- 27:30Speaker 5: between Buffalo and Green Bay, and he almost came. I
- 27:33Speaker 5: don't think you wanted to come to green Bay, but
- 27:35Speaker 5: there was a situation there.
- 27:37Speaker 3: I know you love green Bay, but going from Buffalo
- 27:40Speaker 3: to Green Bay, Yeah, what's what? What?
- 27:47Speaker 5: Hey?
- 27:47Speaker 3: Can I get it?
- 27:47Speaker 6: Can I get a building that has more than three
- 27:49Speaker 6: floors on it?
- 27:51Speaker 2: Can I get some sun?
- 27:52Speaker 3: Buffalo?
- 27:53Speaker 5: Buffalo's got some big buildings, do they. Buffalo's actually kind
- 27:56Speaker 5: of a cool little town. They had some really good
- 27:58Speaker 5: food because some restaurants and the power went out and really,
- 28:01Speaker 5: like I went from Oakland to Buffalo, and let.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Me tell you what kind of up that was. Let
- 28:06Speaker 3: me just tell you. You could have gone to Warres,
- 28:09Speaker 3: Mexico from Oakland and you would have been happy and said,
- 28:12Speaker 3: this is the greatest place ever.
- 28:14Speaker 5: Yeah, for sure, Buffalo was like it was like a
- 28:19Speaker 5: three week like recharge of the batteries in just like
- 28:23Speaker 5: life for me, I was I was running on you.
- 28:27Speaker 6: You were being coached by Dennis Allen and had to
- 28:30Speaker 6: live in Oakland and play for the Raiders.
- 28:33Speaker 5: Yeah, and it was an awful experience. I got that.
- 28:37Speaker 5: I told this story on the air. My wife, you know,
- 28:40Speaker 5: drove a car. She got all the fluids drained out
- 28:44Speaker 5: of the car before she took a trip, nails stuck
- 28:49Speaker 5: in the tires broke down middle of nowhere, California. Yep,
- 28:55Speaker 5: I'm not gonna tell the story again, but.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Good time you kind of just did. All right, Hey,
- 29:00Speaker 3: you got you gotta know that.
- 29:04Speaker 6: Story on radio, certainly on a program like this, I
- 29:08Speaker 6: repeat them thousands times.
- 29:10Speaker 3: But you got new listeners.
- 29:13Speaker 6: Now, you got your you know, you got your Tier
- 29:17Speaker 6: one P one every day all day with shout out
- 29:22Speaker 6: to them.
- 29:23Speaker 5: Yeah, well, well let's just get into it.
- 29:24Speaker 6: Then, No, don't, let's take a break. When we come back,
- 29:29Speaker 6: we will honestly get this show started. Talking a little
- 29:32Speaker 6: position battles. LSU Training Camp is a great article on
- 29:36Speaker 6: Louisiana Sports dot Net right now breaking down the top
- 29:39Speaker 6: three position battles, and we'll break them down when we
- 29:42Speaker 6: come back here on our TV.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 29:47Speaker 5: Whatever.
- 29:48Speaker 3: All right, go to Russell Pools dot com.

- 32:37Speaker 5: flow iv dot com.
- 32:40Speaker 6: All right, let's look at some position battles here for
- 32:43Speaker 6: LSU and our guy Hump Palmer on Louisiana Sports dot Net,
- 32:48Speaker 6: laid out three to watch. It is the guard position,
- 32:52Speaker 6: the safety position, and also backup quarterback.
- 32:56Speaker 3: Now backup quarterback.
- 32:58Speaker 6: You know obviously you've someone you brought in from Mississippi
- 33:02Speaker 6: State who started games in the SEC. You also have
- 33:04Speaker 6: Colin Hurley, who was a big time recruit out of
- 33:06Speaker 6: high school, very young when he got here, and you
- 33:09Speaker 6: know he's gonna continue to develop.
- 33:12Speaker 3: And what was he sixteen when he got here?
- 33:14Speaker 4: Yeah, so he had reclassified. He skipped the scene right here,
- 33:17Speaker 4: he's just now eighteen. I believe what he was that sixteen?
- 33:22Speaker 4: Let's see nineteen. I think I turned sixteen in May
- 33:26Speaker 4: of my like freshman year.
- 33:27Speaker 5: To evangel When did he get to LSU?
- 33:31Speaker 3: Like, what do you mean? How many years ago? This was?
- 33:33Speaker 4: Last year was his first year?
- 33:34Speaker 5: Last year's first year. I remember seeing him and I
- 33:37Speaker 5: remember them telling me his age, and I was like,
- 33:39Speaker 5: that guy, ye I got it looks like he's twenty five,
- 33:42Speaker 5: Like books the party.
- 33:43Speaker 4: He looks even bigger this year.
- 33:44Speaker 5: And it's like usually when you're like when you hit
- 33:48Speaker 5: a growth spurt and you're that age, Like, yeah, you
- 33:51Speaker 5: might be tall, he might have like, you know, definition
- 33:54Speaker 5: in your arms, but like you like skinny leg like
- 33:56Speaker 5: you saidn't like filled that you don't look like a
- 33:58Speaker 5: full grown man that I did, I was like, good lord,
- 34:02Speaker 5: So I wish I had that one I was coming
- 34:06Speaker 5: out of high school.
- 34:08Speaker 6: So it does feel like though it is a legit
- 34:11Speaker 6: like backup quarterback battle, and I would assume Michael Van
- 34:16Speaker 6: Buren has a leg up because of you know what
- 34:19Speaker 6: he did. Can't help yourself, Seinfeld, I know you can't
- 34:24Speaker 6: help yourself, but I do think having that many starts
- 34:30Speaker 6: under your belt in the SEC, obviously Colin Hurley is
- 34:33Speaker 6: going to have to do something that goes above and
- 34:38Speaker 6: beyond what Michael Van Buren's.
- 34:39Speaker 5: I would one hundred percent say that Van Buren would
- 34:43Speaker 5: have the upper hand in a backup quarterback's just for
- 34:45Speaker 5: the sheer fact the coaches don't want to have to
- 34:49Speaker 5: think or worry about what they're going to get. Yeah,
- 34:52Speaker 5: with the backup quarterback, and Colin miss the entire spring too, right,
- 34:56Speaker 5: Like you, you want your backup quarterback to be someone
- 34:59Speaker 5: that you know has experience that they've seen you do
- 35:03Speaker 5: something in action, because they just don't want to have
- 35:06Speaker 5: to worry about what is going to happen, like if
- 35:10Speaker 5: something well, let's just say doomsday happened. At that point,
- 35:14Speaker 5: you can also have a kind of like a little
- 35:16Speaker 5: pseudo competition. You can change your mind, Like for a
- 35:19Speaker 5: guy that's gonna step into a game, let's just talk
- 35:22Speaker 5: about what if what if Garrett nuss Meyer dislocates a
- 35:26Speaker 5: pinky or something and he's got to be out for
- 35:28Speaker 5: a series, let's just play that. You just want to
- 35:30Speaker 5: get You want somebody that you can trust, that you
- 35:32Speaker 5: know has been in the sec they can just go
- 35:34Speaker 5: in there and manage a series or manage a drive,
- 35:37Speaker 5: not turn the ball over. You know what you're gonna
- 35:38Speaker 5: get right now. If a doomsday situation happens in a
- 35:42Speaker 5: backup quarterback has to you know, start for a couple
- 35:44Speaker 5: of games, then it becomes a different story. But at
- 35:47Speaker 5: when you're picking a backup quarterback to back a guy
- 35:52Speaker 5: up that is so important to your team, your offense,
- 35:56Speaker 5: like you just want the trust the trust factor there.
- 36:00Speaker 5: And so that's why I think that he would kind
- 36:03Speaker 5: of have the upper hand that being named the let's
- 36:06Speaker 5: just say this air quote like the number two going
- 36:09Speaker 5: in and that that that's how that's how I would
- 36:14Speaker 5: look at it at least, so like I don't know,
- 36:17Speaker 5: we've seen you know, you and I have seen one practice.
- 36:20Speaker 5: You never know what the you're gonna get when the
- 36:23Speaker 5: bomb squad's out there playing, So like you never know
- 36:25Speaker 5: if I if it throws air mailed or he misses
- 36:28Speaker 5: a you never know whose fault it is, so it's
- 36:31Speaker 5: kind of hard to judge that unless you're sitting there
- 36:34Speaker 5: with the clicker.
- 36:35Speaker 3: Yeah right, Yeah.
- 36:37Speaker 6: If a guy comes free through the A gap the
- 36:39Speaker 6: quarterbacks trying to get the ball off, it sails on him.
- 36:42Speaker 6: If you're just out there and you're watching and you
- 36:44Speaker 6: don't see that, and it's like, well, he missed his target.
- 36:47Speaker 6: He's trying to hit the digger out and he throws
- 36:49Speaker 6: it twenty seven yards on an eighteen yard route because
- 36:52Speaker 6: well he's on his back foot trying to escape somebody
- 36:54Speaker 6: coming straight through the A gap.
- 36:56Speaker 3: So look, it's gonna be a great competition.
- 36:59Speaker 6: Just you know, glad to see Colin Hurley back on
- 37:01Speaker 6: the field as well. I think Van Buren's won one
- 37:04Speaker 6: of the big gets in the transfer portal just because
- 37:06Speaker 6: he has started eight games in the SEC. Because the
- 37:09Speaker 6: last thing you want on the team that is talented
- 37:11Speaker 6: is if you didn't have somebody ready to go. So
- 37:14Speaker 6: I'm gonna give him the edge there as well. The
- 37:16Speaker 6: safety position, Tatsy, I'll bring you in on this one.
- 37:19Speaker 6: I know it's a position you've watched as close as
- 37:21Speaker 6: any aj Halsey comes in from Houston to Marcus Cooley
- 37:24Speaker 6: comes in from NC State obviously, Jordan Gilbert back for
- 37:28Speaker 6: another season. Deshaun Spears, somebody you've talked a lot about,
- 37:32Speaker 6: even before he got to campus when he signed with LSU.
- 37:35Speaker 3: Where are you at right now with the safeties.
- 37:37Speaker 4: I think it's Tamarcus Cooley and Aj Halsey. I mean,
- 37:39Speaker 4: those guys they look the part. AJ Halsey looks like
- 37:42Speaker 4: a middle linebacker out there. I think he's listed at
- 37:45Speaker 4: six one, two twenty at a safety like he's a
- 37:48Speaker 4: big body guy. He lit up Xavion Thomas last Saturday
- 37:52Speaker 4: right across the middle yard the ball loose. Cooley looks
- 37:55Speaker 4: a lot bigger than I thought he would look, But look,
- 37:57Speaker 4: there's there's a depth there. Javan Toviano looks pretty good.
- 38:00Speaker 4: Jordan Gilbert looks better now than he did a year ago.
- 38:03Speaker 4: You mentioned Deshaun Spears, like there's five or six guys
- 38:07Speaker 4: that are battling for that spot. That is a legit battle.
- 38:10Speaker 4: You go out there during like seven on seven, eleven
- 38:12Speaker 4: on eleven. Safety is basically rotating every single snap.
- 38:16Speaker 6: It is a position that does rotate more more than most.
- 38:20Speaker 6: I mean, you'll have a bunch of guys kind of
- 38:22Speaker 6: rolled in. I do think you want to you want
- 38:25Speaker 6: to go from like five to three.
- 38:27Speaker 3: You want to be rotating five guys in there.
- 38:29Speaker 6: Now.
- 38:29Speaker 3: The thing about Tamarcus Cooley, he is versatile. Like if
- 38:33Speaker 3: you go.
- 38:33Speaker 6: Back and you watch the NC State tape, he'll line
- 38:35Speaker 6: up everywhere like he was, Like he can be down
- 38:38Speaker 6: towards the box, he can be as a nickel, he
- 38:40Speaker 6: can be as a safety. So he gives you versatility
- 38:43Speaker 6: in fact that you can kind of place him different places.
- 38:45Speaker 6: Tovian has played different positions in his career as well,
- 38:48Speaker 6: so it's going to be like a mixture of a
- 38:50Speaker 6: lot of different pieces, but it can be the same
- 38:52Speaker 6: guys just put in different places as well. Joel Rodgers
- 39:02Speaker 6: is also somebody though that's in this position battle We
- 39:05Speaker 6: saw him in the ball game. Yeah, I guess people
- 39:09Speaker 6: are pretty excited about his versatility when he's signed, Like
- 39:12Speaker 6: I see Hunt included him in this article.
- 39:14Speaker 3: Any any chance for him to get into the rotation.
- 39:16Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, you know, they're they're all rotating, and
- 39:18Speaker 4: I just think he's more towards the bottom. The other
- 39:20Speaker 4: guys are just getting a little bit more reps right now.
- 39:22Speaker 6: Yeah, it does remind you kind of win whenever the
- 39:24Speaker 6: first year of this new staff and they went out
- 39:26Speaker 6: there and they got you know, Greg Brooks, and they
- 39:30Speaker 6: got an arc Converse and they just went and got
- 39:33Speaker 6: some like veteran guys that weren't you know, weren't as
- 39:36Speaker 6: celebrated like number one portal guy, but they were starters
- 39:39Speaker 6: from Oklahoma State, from Arkansas and you pieced them together
- 39:43Speaker 6: with young football players and that worked really well for LSU.
- 39:46Speaker 3: Now the year since then has not worked.
- 39:49Speaker 6: But this kind of has that feel to it today
- 39:51Speaker 6: of going to go get veteran guys that have been
- 39:54Speaker 6: through the fire in these big major conferences and started
- 39:56Speaker 6: a lot of games.
- 39:57Speaker 4: No, it does, and especially in safety like you brought
- 40:00Speaker 4: in Delane and Jakeem Jackson. Honestly, I would say Jackson's
- 40:04Speaker 4: fifth right now in the corner rotation like I think
- 40:07Speaker 4: it's Stamps and Delane have kind of been your ones
- 40:09Speaker 4: more more times than not. And then DJ Pickett, PJ. Woodland,
- 40:13Speaker 4: one of those guys is a freshman. Two of those
- 40:15Speaker 4: guys have been here multiple years.
- 40:17Speaker 3: Now.
- 40:17Speaker 4: That's safety spot. You brought in two because I mean,
- 40:19Speaker 4: think about it, we brought in Cooley in the spring.
- 40:22Speaker 4: Staff still wasn't satisfied. They brought in aj Hawsey in
- 40:25Speaker 4: the fall. Like that tells me a lot about they
- 40:28Speaker 4: need one. They need both of these guys to step
- 40:30Speaker 4: up at start.
- 40:30Speaker 5: Taylor, who is who is rotating at practice the most,
- 40:35Speaker 5: at Nickel, who seems to be that nickel that go
- 40:38Speaker 5: to guys as soon as they throw it in there.
- 40:41Speaker 4: Means so Perkins is at star, which I mean that's
- 40:44Speaker 4: their quote unquote Nickel in their base defense corner drops in.
- 40:50Speaker 4: Delanne's been doing it a lot. So what they've been
- 40:53Speaker 4: doing is dropping Delaane down and then you know, either
- 40:57Speaker 4: a Picket or a Woodland or a Jakeem Jacks on
- 41:00Speaker 4: the other side of Stamps.
- 41:06Speaker 6: We'll look at the guard position battle before we get
- 41:09Speaker 6: out here again. This is on louisianasports dot Net. Nice
- 41:12Speaker 6: right up by our guy Hunt Palmer. Paul Mubinga doesn't
- 41:15Speaker 6: look like he's going to be a starter right now.
- 41:18Speaker 6: It looks like it's going to be DJ Chester and
- 41:19Speaker 6: Josh Thompson starting at guard. DJ Chester moose from center
- 41:23Speaker 6: to guard. Thompson is somebody that's kind of played all
- 41:25Speaker 6: over the place. In his Northwestern career. A little surprised
- 41:29Speaker 6: that that Paul Mubinga hasn't went with the Ones a
- 41:33Speaker 6: little bit more. Started the final four games of last
- 41:37Speaker 6: year on an offensive line that had four guys drafted.
- 41:40Speaker 6: But you know, that can be a couple different things.
- 41:42Speaker 6: It can be because, well, DJ Chester is a really
- 41:44Speaker 6: good offensive lineman. Some of the center stuff, the pre
- 41:47Speaker 6: snap stuff he struggled with, and like they want to
- 41:50Speaker 6: find a position for him, and you brought Thompson in
- 41:52Speaker 6: through the portal to be a starter. But I thought
- 41:56Speaker 6: at this point mubeng would had the leg up, and
- 41:58Speaker 6: it doesn't look that way. It looks like he is
- 41:59Speaker 6: the out, you know, on the outside looking in right now.
- 42:02Speaker 4: Yeah, and I know he started four games, and there's
- 42:04Speaker 4: gonna be people saying, oh, well, you know he was
- 42:05Speaker 4: awful in those four games. Maybe maybe initially he had
- 42:08Speaker 4: some struggles. You go back and look his PF fifth
- 42:11Speaker 4: grade improved every single game he started. He was like
- 42:15Speaker 4: low fifties game one to like mid seventies game four,
- 42:19Speaker 4: Like he improved steadily over four games. But yeah, it
- 42:22Speaker 4: kind of seems like it's Chester and Thompson. Honestly, Cohen
- 42:25Speaker 4: Eckles is kind of making a move at guard as well.
- 42:28Speaker 4: I know they also like him at center. But yeah,
- 42:31Speaker 4: right now, I mean I think it's I think it's
- 42:32Speaker 4: Chester and Thompson. As much of a rotation there is,
- 42:35Speaker 4: it kind of seems like the starting five.
- 42:37Speaker 5: It's kind of set.
- 42:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:37Speaker 6: It would be the group that I probably pay attention
- 42:40Speaker 6: to the most tomorrow when I go out to practice
- 42:43Speaker 6: is the interior offensive line. And see how see how
- 42:47Speaker 6: they developed over the last couple of days in training camps.
- 42:50Speaker 3: I think they need to go up a couple of notches.
- 42:53Speaker 3: All right, we'll take a break, finish up our number
- 42:56Speaker 3: one when we come back here on O TV.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Off the bench, all.
- 43:03Speaker 6: Right, Now, he is a great time, just like it
- 43:05Speaker 6: always is a great time to go for dose. Sure,
- 43:09Speaker 6: the summertime trips, the lake beer, beach beer, river beer,
- 43:12Speaker 6: all that might be coming to an end, but it's
- 43:14Speaker 6: okay because now you've got tailgate beer, now you got
- 43:17Speaker 6: ballgame beer. Right, it is about to be the season,
- 43:22Speaker 6: the best season of going for dose.
- 43:24Speaker 3: And so if.
- 43:26Speaker 6: You're enjoying a good time, you're outside hanging with the crew,
- 43:30Speaker 6: go ahead and grab an ice cold dough.
- 43:32Speaker 5: Sekis go for dose. Drink responsibly. Yeah, the summer's over,
- 43:35Speaker 5: but kids have just coming back to school. It could
- 43:38Speaker 5: be a little stressful. So you know, look, it's Friday.
- 43:41Speaker 5: I know it's the morning now, but it's gonna be afternoon,
- 43:43Speaker 5: late afternoon, evening soon. So if you're deciding to, you know,
- 43:48Speaker 5: have a couple of cold pops, make it a do Secis,
- 43:50Speaker 5: go for dose, get that cold Mexican logger and go
- 43:53Speaker 5: for dose. Get ready for the weekend.
- 43:55Speaker 3: Beat the heat.
- 43:56Speaker 5: Drink responsibly.
- 44:07Speaker 1: Two thousand and seven Champs Purple and Gold to the Core.
- 44:11Speaker 1: This is off the Bench with Hester and Flynn, Matt
- 44:14Speaker 1: and Rouge's go to for all things Louisiana sports.
- 44:34Speaker 3: All right, welcome back.
- 44:34Speaker 6: Get it to be one of four five ESPN Baton
- 44:37Speaker 6: Rouge Shout out to Brad Fok on Twitter at the
- 44:41Speaker 6: Underscore Fox listening in Nashville. Shout out, Brad. We are
- 44:45Speaker 6: going to a jamboree on the sixteenth. Tennessee has them,
- 44:48Speaker 6: and so does Alabama. Turns out that Blend's just a
- 44:53Speaker 6: nerd from Texas.
- 44:54Speaker 3: Okay, hating it last part, that's just me. Shout us, Brad, though.
- 44:58Speaker 5: I'll wear that too, jambrie and Tennessee and am all
- 45:01Speaker 5: right Assissippi because I think some Mississippi schools like come
- 45:05Speaker 5: down here for I can't understand the mississ because there's
- 45:07Speaker 5: some leagues and private leagues that Mississippi and Louisianna play
- 45:11Speaker 5: like they're inter mingled, so I can understand how they'd
- 45:13Speaker 5: be a little like it might go a little bit
- 45:15Speaker 5: in Mississippi. So apparently jamboree is a real word.
- 45:19Speaker 6: I heard all you Texans always thinking that y'all invented everything,
- 45:24Speaker 6: and if y'all didn't invent it, it doesn't I'm gonna
- 45:27Speaker 6: wake up jamboree position.
- 45:29Speaker 2: Louisiana can't accept the fact that they didn't invent Marty Grasso.
- 45:32Speaker 5: The jamboree is a large celebration or part typically boisterous one.
- 45:40Speaker 2: I'm just kidding. Maybe Mobile started it, but Louisiana perfected it.
- 45:44Speaker 3: I remember Tea Bob did a deep dive into that one.
- 45:47Speaker 2: I actually don't know if that's true or not, but
- 45:49Speaker 2: I hear it all the time.
- 45:50Speaker 3: Teabo people tell you the exact story because he got it.
- 45:53Speaker 3: Every year we went to Mobile.
- 45:54Speaker 2: Got it all.
- 45:55Speaker 3: Right, We'll be back. I have number two oh.
- 45:58Speaker 4: TV pop, what's the bench.
