send you. In local news, in the race for mayor
• 3:28
of Boston, Outside financial support is skyrocketing,
• 3:31
with New Balance chairman Jim Davis donating
• 3:34
$1 million to the super PAC backing candidate
• 3:38
Josh Kraft. This trend reflects a growing influence
• 3:42
of super PACs in local elections, a phenomenon
• 3:46
noted by Brandon Glavin from Open Secrets. The
• 3:50
group Your City, Your Future, which Davis funded,
• 3:53
aims to support candidates fostering a thriving,
• 3:56
  affordable, and sustainable Boston. Meanwhile,
• 4:01
incumbent Mayor Michelle Wu is expected to receive
• 4:03
backing from super PACs tied to unions. Analysts
• 4:08
suggest that Davis' support could link Kraft
• 4:11
to the controversial former President Trump complicating
• 4:14
his campaign. Now on to sports. In 2024, Michael
• 4:24
Jordan earned an astounding $300 million, surpassing
• 4:29
Cristiano Ronaldo's $260 million, making him
• 4:33
the world's highest paid active athlete. After
• 4:36
retiring from the NBA in 1993, Jordan famously
• 4:41
stated he would need a contract of $300 million
• 4:44
to return for money. His impressive income is
• 4:48
largely due to his partnership with Nike. which
• 4:51
started in 1984 and has generated significant
• 4:54
revenue, including $7 billion last year. Jordan's
• 4:59
total career earnings have reached $3 billion,
• 5:02
bolstered by investments, most notably in the
• 5:05
Charlotte Hornets. Yesterday afternoon at Fenway,
• 5:11
the Sox dominated the Guardians with a 13 -3
• 5:15
victory. Rafi Devers homered for the Sox. and
• 5:19
Duran dazzled with four hits. They earned the
• 5:23
win, improving to 2 -0. The Sox exploded with
• 5:28
three runs in the fifth inning, highlighted by
• 5:31
Rafila's sacrifice fly. The Sox's bats were on
• 5:36
fire, bringing their record to 16 -14. Tomorrow
• 5:40
night, the Sox head to Toronto for game one of
• 5:43
a three -game series against the Blue Jays. Garrett
• 5:47

is at 7 .07 under the dome at Rogers Center.
• 6:02
Last night, the Celtics edged past the magic
• 6:05
1 .07 to 98 in Orlando. Jason Tatum was simply
• 6:11
unstoppable, posting 37 points. and pulling down
• 6:15
14 rebounds. Jalen Brown chipped in with 21 points
• 6:20
and 11 boards. Boston now leads the series 3
• 6:24
-1. Despite Paolo Banchero's 31 points, the Magic
• 6:29
couldn't withstand the relentless Celtics' offense,
• 6:32
setting the stage for Game 5 back at the Garden
• 6:35
on Tuesday night. In top news, Google is training
• 6:42
a new artificial intelligence model. called Dolphin
• 6:45
Gemma to decode dolphin vocalizations with hopes
• 6:48
of enabling humans to communicate back. Set for
• 6:53
an open -source release this summer, Dolphin
• 6:56
Gemma is based on decades of research from the
• 6:58
Wild Dolphin Project, which has gathered extensive
• 7:01
audio and video data from Atlantic spotted dolphins
• 7:05
in the Bahamas. This model identifies patterns
• 7:08
in dolphin sounds, potentially revealing insights
• 7:11
  beyond human perception. Additionally, researchers
• 7:15
are developing a device named Chat, which will
• 7:18
help dolphins learn to mimic sounds associated
• 7:21
with specific objects. However, the debate continues
• 7:25
  over whether animal communication constitutes
• 7:28
true language. In business news, OpenAI's chief
• 7:35
executive officer, Sam Allman, revealed that
• 7:38
the company's electricity costs have surged tens
• 7:41
of millions of dollars. due to users being polite
• 7:45
to ChatGPT. A recent survey indicated that 67
• 7:50
% of individuals in the United States use polite
• 7:53
language with AI, with some citing concerns over
• 7:56
a potential AI uprising. However, politeness
• 8:01
comes with an energy cost. A report found that
• 8:04
ChatGPT consumes 1 billion and 59 million kilowatt
• 8:08
hours annually. leading to an estimated annual
• 8:11
expenditure of about $140 million. Despite these
• 8:17
costs, OpenAI remains financially robust, having
• 8:21
recently raised $40 billion. In crypto movement,
• 8:26
Bitcoin is up 0 .5 % over the weekend to just

Let's talk science. In a groundbreaking mission,
• 9:35
scientists have drilled deeper into the Earth's
• 9:37
mantle than ever before, providing a rare opportunity
• 9:40
to study this vast layer. They extracted a core
• 9:45
measuring 1 ,268 meters, revealing serpentinized
• 9:50
peridotite, formed by the interaction of saltwater
• 9:53
and mantle rock. Although they did not reach
• 9:57
the Mohorovicic discontinuity, or MOVO, The study
• 10:01
offers valuable insights into the composition
• 10:04
of the upper mantle, including Harsburgite and
• 10:07
Gabros. With the future of such drilling missions
• 10:11
uncertain, this research could illuminate the
• 10:14
processes that have shaped our planet. And in
• 10:19
entertainment news. In The Accountant 2, Ben
• 10:23
Affleck returns as the titular hero. showcasing
• 10:27
a comedic twist on his character's struggles
• 10:29
with autism. Co -starring Jon Bernthal as his
• 10:34
brother, the film offers unexpected charm, like

• 10:50
tied to human trafficking, showcasing Affleck's
• 10:53
  analytical skills, and introducing Bernfeld's

more adventures for these unique characters.
