  peace, cooperation, and collective security.
• 0:30
This founding agreement created a lasting framework
• 0:33
for diplomatic dialogue and humanitarian law,
• 0:37
marking a milestone in global governance and
• 0:39
post -war reconstruction. So now you know. And
• 0:44
now, it's time for the weather report. This morning,

a light west wind. Tonight, expect mostly clear

Sunny mornings send you. In local news, Boston's
• 2:36
MBTA has ramped up its fare evasion crackdown,
• 2:40
issuing 85 warnings since September 8th, but
• 2:43
no monetary fines yet. Under the new system,
• 2:47
riders receive one warning before facing fines
• 2:50
starting at $50 for subsequent offenses, which
• 2:54
can rise to $100. MBTA spokesperson Maya Bingaman
• 2:59
noted that the Fair Engagement representative
• 3:02
team has been well received by the public. The
• 3:06
agency aims to ensure fair enforcement of fair
• 3:08
rules, training staff on biases, and cultural
• 3:12
intelligence. Writers can check eligibility for
• 3:15
reduced fares online at mbta .com slash reduced,
• 3:20
with some routes currently fare -free through
• 3:22
a pilot program. Now onto sports. Last night,
• 3:32
on Thursday night football, the Chargers beat
• 3:36
the Vikings in a slaughter 37 to 10. Justin Herbert
• 3:40
was 18 for 25. with 227 yards passing, 3 passing
• 3:46
touchdowns, and 1 interception. Carson Wentz
• 3:51
was 15 for 27, with 144 yards passing, 1 passing
• 3:56
touchdown, 1 interception. The Chargers are now
• 4:01
5 and 3, and the Vikings fall to 3 and 4. And
• 4:06
on Sunday Night Football this week, we got the
• 4:08
4 -1 Packers in Pittsburgh to face the 4 -2 Steelers.
• 4:14
Packers are favored by 2 .5, with the over -under
• 4:18
set at 45 .5. Kickoff is at 8 .20 Eastern on
• 4:24
NBC. And now World Series predictions are in,
• 4:28
as experts weigh in on whether the Los Angeles
• 4:31
Dodgers... or the Toronto Blue Jays will be crowned
• 4:34
champions. After an October filled with dramatic
• 4:38
moments, the World Series has arrived. The Dodgers
• 4:42
have cruised to a 9 -1 record, while the Blue
• 4:45
Jays faced a thrilling seven -game American League
• 4:48
Championship Series. Most staff predicted the
• 4:52
Seattle Mariners and the Philadelphia Phillies
• 4:54
would reach the World Series, but now the Dodgers
• 4:57
are favored due to their dominant performance.
• 5:00
Experts believe the matchup will be intense,
• 5:03
with the Dodgers' depth likely giving them the
• 5:06
edge. Tonight, game one in Toronto with Blake
• 5:10
Snell facing Trejasovic in local sports. On Sunday,
• 5:16
we got our 5 -2 Pats back at home facing the
• 5:20
2 -5 Browns. The Pats are favored by 7 .5, with
• 5:26
the over -under set at 40 .5. Kickoff is at 1
• 5:31
on Fox. In top news, scientists have been studying
• 5:38
super -agers for 25 years, and a recent study
• 5:41
from Northwestern University reveals an intriguing
• 5:44
habit they share. Super -agers who are 80 or
• 5:49
  older demonstrate cognitive functions comparable
• 5:52
to those of middle -aged individuals. These remarkable
• 5:56
individuals maintain a more active social life.
• 5:59
which appears to be crucial for their mental
• 6:02
sharpness. The research indicates that social
• 6:05
engagement may enhance brain health, as chronic
• 6:08
isolation can negatively impact well -being.
• 6:13
Experts suggest that being socially active is
• 6:16
essentially a workout for the brain, promoting
• 6:18
overall health and cognitive resilience. In business
• 6:24
  news, decentralized exchanges are experiencing
• 6:28
a significant transformation reminiscent of Robinhood's
• 6:32
early impact on financial markets. When Robinhood
• 6:36
introduced commission -free trading in 2013,
• 6:40
it faced skepticism, yet by 2021, those same
• 6:44
traders were reshaping Wall Street. Similarly,
• 6:48
  decentralized exchanges are overcoming initial
• 6:51
critiques as they democratize access and build
• 6:54
new market infrastructures. Critics argue that
• 6:58
much of the volume comes from automated trading,
• 7:01
but this overlooks the foundational changes occurring.
• 7:05
As institutional custody solutions improve, decentralized
• 7:09
exchanges are set to offer advantages that traditional
• 7:12
finance cannot replicate, paving the way for
• 7:16
mainstream adoption. In crypto movement, Bitcoin
• 7:20
is unchanged for the weak at about $111 ,000.
• 7:26
Ethereum is down 2 % to just under $4 ,000. And
• 7:32
XRP is down 1 % to $2 .44. Moving on to a more
• 7:39
local vibe. In our community spotlight on health
• 7:43
and wellness, we are working with a national
• 7:46
Pilates studio to bring you some free classes,
• 7:49
so listen up. Check out Club Pilates with several

well -being. Scientific research affirms its
• 8:06
benefits. So now you can check out Club Pilates

Hingham, Brookline, and Framingham, just be sure

to tell them Sunny Morning sent you by. And now,
• 8:23
back to the show. Let's talk science! The Europa
• 8:28
Clipper spacecraft may soon be pummeled by charged
• 8:31
particles from the ion tail of the interstellar
• 8:34
comet, 3i Atlas. This prediction comes from two
• 8:39
European researchers who developed computer code
• 8:41
to identify spacecraft alignments with a comet's
• 8:45
tail and the Sun. This harmless event presents
• 8:48
a rare opportunity to sample material from a
• 8:52
comet beyond our solar system. Samuel Grant from
• 8:56
the Finnish Meteorological Institute stated that
• 8:59
it offers insights into interstellar comets and
• 9:02
their formation. However, the ongoing United
• 9:06
States government shutdown could hinder efforts
• 9:08
to activate Europa Clippers instruments for measurements
• 9:11
during the alignment period from October 30th
• 9:14
to November 6th. And in entertainment news, Ben
• 9:22
Stiller's touching documentary about his parents,
• 9:24
Stiller and Mira, Nothing is Lost, is now available
• 9:28
on Apple TV. This project is very personal to
• 9:33
him and his family. Jerry Stiller, better known
• 9:37
as Frank Costanza in Seinfeld, was Ben Stiller's
• 9:40
father in real life. However, many do not know
• 9:44
that his career spanned over a decade, alongside
• 9:47
his wife and Mira, Ben Stiller's mother. Through
• 9:52
this documentary, Ben Stiller and his sister
• 9:54
uncover lost diaries, recordings and interviews,
• 9:58
revisiting their parents' lives. Well, alrighty
• 10:02
folks, it's time for the quote of the day. And
• 10:06
today, our quote comes from the American diplomat
• 10:09
and historian George Kennan. And he said, And
