- 0:12Speaker 1: What up, boy? What up, man? I ain't seen you
- 0:14Speaker 1: in a long time. It's been hours. I still got
- 0:18Speaker 1: my VIP wristband on. So you didn't take a shower?
- 0:21Speaker 1: First of all, I did shower. I knew that was
- 0:23Speaker 1: coming at your mouth. First of all, I did shower.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Don't try me on national TV. I did take a shower, people.
- 0:32Speaker 1: I just kept my VIP. Because you felt good? Actually,
- 0:34Speaker 1: I tried to... There you go. Yeah. Strong. That's right.
- 0:39Speaker 2: That's what you usually do before you take a shower.
- 0:42Speaker 2: You should have got MVP yesterday. It was 16-8, and
- 0:45Speaker 2: all of a sudden they had like a little rally.
- 0:46Speaker 1: You were at bat. This is the last inning. I
- 0:49Speaker 1: was due for one, too. You were due for one.
- 0:51Speaker 2: It was softball, so Sam would throw the ball up high,
- 0:54Speaker 2: and it would drop early. And so a lot of
- 0:56Speaker 2: you guys were trying to swing too early, and I
- 0:57Speaker 2: was like, T.O., wait for your pitch.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Wait for your pitch. And here's what's spooky about this dude.
- 1:02Speaker 1: I guess this is why you're T.O. We played it
- 1:06Speaker 1: at Loyola Marymount. There was an M. On the wall,
- 1:11Speaker 1: I said, T.O., hit that M right there on the wall.
- 1:14Speaker 1: And I swear for.
- 1:16Speaker 2: God, hit the ball exactly and just, I don't know
- 1:21Speaker 2: if he missed the M or it was right.
- 1:23Speaker 1: It was going for the M. And then the whole
- 1:25Speaker 1: crowd came out. Oh, it was crazy. It was electric.
- 1:30Speaker 1: It was like out of a movie.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Next run, score, wins the game. Bud was up and
- 1:35Speaker 3: then I was up. And then I think actually Matt Barnes,
- 1:37Speaker 3: I think, was after me.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Right, but there was no need because there was only
- 1:40Speaker 1: one run left. One run needed. One run needed. Exactly.
- 1:43Speaker 1: 16 to 16. You hit it to the M and LMU.
- 1:47Speaker 3: And the thing is, when you put yourself and you
- 1:49Speaker 3: know that there's expectations upon you, like you.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Everybody's, they're wanting you to hit a home run. And
- 1:56Speaker 1: everybody was glued. They was crip walking.
- 1:58Speaker 3: They were doing everything. Yeah, so I'm at the plate.
- 2:03Speaker 3: So I'm like, man, I got to do this. I
- 2:05Speaker 3: got to do this. It was out of a movie.
- 2:07Speaker 1: And you done teed me up. So I'm like, Chris
- 2:09Speaker 1: done set the stage. He done... He done set it
- 2:11Speaker 1: up for everybody. It was beautiful. Man. It was beautiful.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I love Clifford Hill.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Welcome to Get to the Point with Chris Spencer and
- 2:17Speaker 2: Terrell Owens. We're just talking about how much fun we had.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Over the weekend. Over the weekend. It was incredible. But listen,
- 2:23Speaker 1: week four. Oh, yeah. You want to go over your
- 2:26Speaker 1: little picks? How you doing?
- 2:27Speaker 3: I'm doing pretty good. Three for six just last week.
- 2:30Speaker 3: I think five and one. I don't know what you're
- 2:32Speaker 3: talking about.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Oh, well, at least on the show. Rewind or go back.
- 2:36Speaker 1: It's on YouTube. Yeah, just do it. Share, like, and
- 2:38Speaker 1: subscribe and rewind. Yeah. And see T.O. 's picks.
- 2:42Speaker 2: All right, your wins were Seattle, San Francisco, and Kansas City.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Your losses, your Buffalo Bills, your Philadelphia Eagles, and the
- 2:52Speaker 2: Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 2:53Speaker 1: So yours three. As a matter of fact, I'm mad
- 2:56Speaker 1: because the Buffalo Bills, they disappointed me. Okay, so your
- 3:00Speaker 1: little Bills. What you doing? Oh. That's right, because the
- 3:07Speaker 1: Cowboys did win. Damn it, Josh. Josh. Damn it, Josh.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I'm trying to give y'all some love up there in
- 3:15Speaker 1: Orchard Park, New York. Look what you do. You disappoint me.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Damn it. All right, well, before we get to that,
- 3:22Speaker 1: let's talk about Brown Steelers, right? Yeah, I think I
- 3:26Speaker 1: picked the Browns. Oh, you know what? I'm going to
- 3:27Speaker 1: be honest. I said I was rooting for Deshaun, but
- 3:30Speaker 1: I was hoping he would play well, and which he did,
- 3:33Speaker 1: but I was kind of rooting for the Steelers. So
- 3:35Speaker 1: to me, to be honest, that's a win-win. Okay. That's
- 3:38Speaker 1: a win-win. He's balling. Yeah.
- 3:41Speaker 2: 24 for 33, 268 yards, only one interception, he had
- 3:44Speaker 2: one touchdown, and then he rushed for 22 yards.
- 3:47Speaker 3: But if you think about it, everybody going through this season,
- 3:50Speaker 3: they had written him off.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I've been his prime supporter. You didn't write him off? No.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Come on. I'm joking. No, you were actually one of
- 3:59Speaker 1: the people. Subscribe, like, share, rewind. No, you've always been
- 4:03Speaker 1: a fan. No. I wanted him to do bad just
- 4:05Speaker 1: because we wanted to see Shadur. But again, I want
- 4:08Speaker 1: Shadur to be in the mix too. Right. No, I'm
- 4:11Speaker 1: just telling you that you were actually, from the beginning,
- 4:13Speaker 1: you were down with Deshaun Watson. And I understand the situation.
- 4:16Speaker 3: So again, you got, Shadur can only hope and expect
- 4:21Speaker 3: so much when you go from a top five or
- 4:23Speaker 3: 10 pick and you all the way down to the
- 4:26Speaker 3: fifth round. And then obviously with all the flipping, flopping,
- 4:29Speaker 3: going back with, you know, is Deshaun going to play?
- 4:32Speaker 1: Is Shador going to play? Blah, blah, blah, blah. I understand.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Coming off injury. Yeah. Yeah. And I understand where Shador
- 4:39Speaker 1: is right now.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Like, yeah, everybody's pushing him to play because of the
- 4:43Speaker 3: bad play of Deshaun Watson in preseason. It's not any
- 4:47Speaker 3: other than what I told you guys. Like, preseason and
- 4:49Speaker 3: regular season, it's a total different animal. The speed of
- 4:52Speaker 3: the game is totally different. You're not playing with your starters.
- 4:55Speaker 3: He's been injured.
- 4:56Speaker 1: The last two years, he has to get his feet
- 4:58Speaker 1: back and get his eyes and his arm, all those things.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Once he gets all that and get back in rhythm,
- 5:04Speaker 3: he's going to start playing like Deshaun. This is not,
- 5:06Speaker 3: for me, this is not a flash in the pan.
- 5:09Speaker 3: This is what they expected when they traded for him.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Then obviously was playing bad and then injuries. You give
- 5:15Speaker 3: this guy some weapons. His confidence is back. I mean,
- 5:18Speaker 3: this is the son.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Does he look 100% to you? Yeah. Oh, yeah, for sure. 100%. No, no,
- 5:23Speaker 1: he's good. He's back. He's back. As far as his health, yes, 100%,
- 5:27Speaker 1: he's healthy. All right, let's talk about them. Dallas Cowboys
- 5:31Speaker 1: got a nice little win over the Houston Texans.
- 5:34Speaker 3: This is a stat-padding game. I don't really want to
- 5:37Speaker 3: talk about that.
- 5:37Speaker 1: No, let's talk about it. For the sake of the show.
- 5:40Speaker 1: I did have 335 yards. For the sake of the show.
- 5:42Speaker 1: For the sake of get to the point. I'm going
- 5:44Speaker 1: to tell you what it is. Get to the point.
- 5:46Speaker 1: This is a stat-padding type of game. C.J. Stroud didn't
- 5:50Speaker 1: do bad. He was 21 for 31. He had 347 yards.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Two touchdowns. Did they win? No. They did not. He
- 5:56Speaker 1: needed one more touchdown. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Dallas was one
- 5:59Speaker 1: and two. And what was the Texas? 0-3. 0-3.
- 6:06Speaker 3: And again, you play in Dallas. It's like two Texas teams.
- 6:10Speaker 3: You're trying to kind of decide, okay, who's the best team.
- 6:12Speaker 3: It's like LA.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Who is that? Lakers town? Is it Lakers town or
- 6:16Speaker 1: Clippers town? It's always going to be a Lakers town. So, again,
- 6:18Speaker 1: you're trying to establish some sort of dominance in Texas. Right, right.
- 6:21Speaker 3: As it relates to the Texans and the Cowboys, I
- 6:23Speaker 3: knew going into this that the Cowboys, this is one
- 6:25Speaker 3: of my.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Picks, right?
- 6:26Speaker 3: I knew that they were going to win this game.
- 6:28Speaker 3: As a receiver- Pickens and CeeDee Lamb, somebody going to
- 6:32Speaker 3: go off.
- 6:32Speaker 1: CeeDee Lamb went off. Somebody's going to go off.
- 6:35Speaker 2: CeeDee Lamb had 17 receptions, 189 yards, and was even doper.
- 6:39Speaker 1: He had a touchdown also. Yeah. He did it around
- 6:42Speaker 1: the corner from the crib. Can't ask any better. I
- 6:46Speaker 1: bet you he didn't go home. I bet you he
- 6:48Speaker 1: didn't go home. I bet you he didn't go home.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I know he didn't go home. Why not? He stayed
- 6:53Speaker 1: at the crib. He stayed at the house. You done
- 6:55Speaker 1: showed out. Right. Right there? Yes. All them girls, they
- 6:59Speaker 1: used to say he was ugly. Family. Oh, man. You
- 7:01Speaker 1: get to do it to him now. What? He didn't
- 7:04Speaker 1: ride the bus. He didn't take the plane or the
- 7:05Speaker 1: bus home. Who did this win the most?
- 7:08Speaker 3: Obviously, when you haven't won any games, it's the Texans. So, again,
- 7:14Speaker 3: but the thing is, Dallas won in two. This is
- 7:17Speaker 3: not even, for me, this is not a quality win.
- 7:20Speaker 3: This is like going through 707. This is just like
- 7:23Speaker 3: going through a practice for them. So, that's how I
- 7:25Speaker 3: see this. That's why I, I preface this game as
- 7:28Speaker 3: a stat padding game. So they knew going in that
- 7:31Speaker 3: they should win this game. And these are the games
- 7:33Speaker 3: that they should win.
- 7:34Speaker 1: It's not even a division matchup, not even a division game,
- 7:38Speaker 1: but every game matters when it, when it comes to,
- 7:41Speaker 1: you know, developing chemistry, establishing a rhythm on offense, kind
- 7:47Speaker 1: of identifying, like, you know, just running through, just playing,
- 7:50Speaker 1: honestly playing what a few plays that you're going to
- 7:52Speaker 1: go through throughout the course of the season. So. Do
- 7:55Speaker 1: you think Dallas is getting better, or you can't tell
- 7:57Speaker 1: from this game? Get better? I mean, the only person
- 8:01Speaker 1: that got better in this game was C.D. Lamb.
- 8:02Speaker 3: He definitely caught all the passes. I know Pickens probably mad.
- 8:06Speaker 3: What was Pickens' stat? No, I'm just kidding.
- 8:09Speaker 1: But they know, like you being a professional about it, honestly,
- 8:12Speaker 1: they know it's going to be games like that.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Again, next week or the week after that, Pickens may
- 8:17Speaker 3: go off and score about three or four touchdowns. have
- 8:21Speaker 3: a whole bunch of catches. So it's going to be
- 8:24Speaker 3: up and down with them, but in a good way.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Rams-Eagles. The Rams won 24-20.
- 8:30Speaker 3: I'm really disappointed in my Eagles. I really thought they
- 8:32Speaker 3: were going to win this game. But I think the
- 8:34Speaker 3: Rams were playing out of desperation. They needed this win.
- 8:38Speaker 1: They needed a win. What's going on with Jalen Hurts?
- 8:41Speaker 1: Is Jalen Hurts Hurts and we don't know it? No,
- 8:44Speaker 1: he's not Hurts.
- 8:46Speaker 3: But I will say, I mean, just as a lot
- 8:48Speaker 3: of people– Analysts, commentators, they give people passes for the
- 8:55Speaker 3: number of, and this has been consistent throughout the course
- 8:57Speaker 3: of his career. Every year he's had a new offensive coordinator.
- 9:03Speaker 3: He has new receivers. Again, he started out good, but
- 9:06Speaker 3: I always tell people like, yo, it's early. It's going
- 9:08Speaker 3: to be like this. The Philly fans and fans across
- 9:13Speaker 3: the world that are Eagles fans, they want them to
- 9:15Speaker 3: win every game.
- 9:16Speaker 1: That's not going to happen. There's been no undefeated season
- 9:19Speaker 1: since the Miami Dolphins in 1972. It's not going to
- 9:23Speaker 1: happen anytime soon. There's going to be some wins. There's
- 9:26Speaker 1: going to be some losses.
- 9:27Speaker 3: But just like they make excuses for these other quarterbacks
- 9:31Speaker 3: for when they don't play well, when the expectation is
- 9:35Speaker 3: supposed to be really high, when you talk about your Burrow,
- 9:37Speaker 3: your Herbert, the same has to apply for Jalen Hurts.
- 9:43Speaker 1: He's had.
- 9:44Speaker 3: A number of offensive coordinators, he start like this is new.
- 9:48Speaker 3: He's not with this.
- 9:49Speaker 1: A.J. Brown got traded away.
- 9:50Speaker 3: The other receiver that's coming in, he's trying to, you know,
- 9:53Speaker 3: kind of shore up. Yeah, shore up for where the
- 9:56Speaker 3: lack of production with A.J.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Brown. Devontae Smith, obviously he's double. he's WL1.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Saquon is not really the Saquon of two years. So again,
- 10:04Speaker 3: all of these things factor into wins and losses. Yeah,
- 10:08Speaker 3: do we want Jalen to play well every week?
- 10:10Speaker 1: Yes, but the reality of it, it's not going to
- 10:13Speaker 1: be to everybody's liking. You have to give this guy
- 10:16Speaker 1: a Time to adjust and adjust to his players and
- 10:20Speaker 1: his playmakers. What do you think about Matthew Stafford's game?
- 10:23Speaker 3: Yeah, Matthew Stafford, I mean, he's playing like they should play.
- 10:27Speaker 3: You got Puka Nakua. You got Devontae Adams. You got, obviously,
- 10:32Speaker 3: Matthew Stafford at the QB.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Kyron Williams. Kyron Williams.
- 10:36Speaker 3: These guys are going to play well. I think you're
- 10:39Speaker 3: seeing other guys show up on the defensive side of
- 10:40Speaker 3: the ball. This is the continuity and the rhythm you
- 10:44Speaker 3: need as the season starts to see you What you
- 10:47Speaker 3: do well, what you don't do well, and then this
- 10:50Speaker 3: is going to amount to a lot of wins.
- 10:52Speaker 1: I know you say the word is too early, but
- 10:54Speaker 1: should the Eagles fans be a little worried? I wouldn't
- 10:58Speaker 1: say too worried, but if they start losing, they lose
- 11:00Speaker 1: a couple more. You know the city of brother love.
- 11:03Speaker 1: They're going to hit that panic button. Like you said
- 11:05Speaker 1: that one time, they'll bring them batteries and start throwing
- 11:07Speaker 1: them at people. No. Gilly is going to be all
- 11:11Speaker 1: over social. He's going to be.
- 11:12Speaker 3: He already been wearing colored nails. He already lost a
- 11:16Speaker 3: couple of bets. He had to paint his nails. We're
- 11:19Speaker 3: going to see Gilly wearing a wig next.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Patriots Bills. Patriots Bills. Your little Bills. Your little Bills Mafia.
- 11:29Speaker 1: What happened to the Bills Mafia? They lost 29-26. Damn it, Josh.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Come on, man. Hey, these are the games that you
- 11:40Speaker 1: cannot lose.
- 11:42Speaker 3: You have to win these games. You have to find
- 11:44Speaker 3: a way to win these games. Especially for him to
- 11:48Speaker 3: get on that streak and be considered... the quarterback that
- 11:51Speaker 3: everybody wants him to be. Like, you can't just be
- 11:53Speaker 3: known for all the stats. But as a quarterback, you know,
- 11:57Speaker 3: obviously you think about, like I said, that's one of
- 11:58Speaker 3: the guys we didn't meet. You're Justin Hurwitz.
- 12:01Speaker 1: You're Burrow. You're Josh Allen. These are the guys. Kind
- 12:05Speaker 1: of the face of the league guys. Right.
- 12:07Speaker 3: And for especially playing in Buffalo.
- 12:10Speaker 1: I know what they're yearning for. He has to play
- 12:13Speaker 1: well every week.
- 12:15Speaker 3: If this is a time that you got to put
- 12:17Speaker 3: a bunch of, a string of games together, this is
- 12:20Speaker 3: where you have to do this.
- 12:21Speaker 1: You can't lose it. You can't be losing games like this.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Let's talk about Drake Mays' game. This was a must
- 12:27Speaker 1: win for them. Yes.
- 12:28Speaker 3: With everything that's swirling around, that organization right now. Again,
- 12:34Speaker 3: hats off. Anybody can get it over the weekend. You
- 12:39Speaker 3: can win, you can lose, but I honestly saw this
- 12:42Speaker 3: as a must-win game. I'm just going to attribute this
- 12:45Speaker 3: to the Buffalo Bills playing poorly. It's not anything that
- 12:49Speaker 3: they did.
- 12:49Speaker 1: I don't think they played poorly. They just didn't win.
- 12:51Speaker 2: And I think, and maybe I'm wrong, do you think
- 12:56Speaker 2: we crowned Josh Allen too soon?
- 12:58Speaker 1: No, I wouldn't say that. I mean, he's playing.
- 13:00Speaker 3: To the level that Josh needs to play. I mean,
- 13:02Speaker 3: he just needs to play better. I mean, there's a
- 13:04Speaker 3: lot of guys, again, and teams.
- 13:07Speaker 2: That just— See, but hold on a second real quick.
- 13:08Speaker 2: You want to say— We're saying he needs to play better.
- 13:10Speaker 2: He's been playing great. Are you just saying he needs
- 13:12Speaker 2: to play better in that game?
- 13:14Speaker 3: Yeah, and in him playing better, he needs to be
- 13:19Speaker 3: a difference maker in them winning the game.
- 13:21Speaker 1: You get what I'm saying? You think he lacked in
- 13:23Speaker 1: his rushing? Did I curse him by calling him Josh
- 13:26Speaker 1: Marcus Allen? First of all. Because he only had five,
- 13:29Speaker 1: four yards this time. And that's part of his game.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Like you said, when you have a guy like Josh
- 13:38Speaker 3: Allen who's rushing, that's been a big threat to his game.
- 13:43Speaker 3: That's going to be a concerted effort on the defense
- 13:46Speaker 3: to stop that.
- 13:47Speaker 1: To eliminate the rushing. That's why you see four yards.
- 13:51Speaker 3: First of all, that shouldn't be anything with a quarterback anyway.
- 13:55Speaker 3: He shouldn't be really predicated or thinking about rushing yards.
- 13:57Speaker 3: But that's part of his game. When the passing game
- 14:00Speaker 3: breaks down, you get him out of the pocket and
- 14:02Speaker 3: he's able to move and escape.
- 14:04Speaker 1: And he's good when he.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Gets out of the pocket. They probably had a spy
- 14:07Speaker 3: on him. You know what I mean? Okay, this is
- 14:09Speaker 3: what he's been doing as of late.
- 14:11Speaker 1: He's getting out of the pocket. He's making plays with
- 14:14Speaker 1: his feet.
- 14:15Speaker 3: There's a number of mobile quarterbacks in the league that's
- 14:19Speaker 3: doing that at a very high level, and he's one
- 14:21Speaker 3: of those guys. So when you eliminate one of the two,
- 14:25Speaker 3: then you increase your chances of winning.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Well, these two teams were 3-0 last week, and now
- 14:31Speaker 2: somebody's got an L.
- 14:32Speaker 1: We're talking about the Los Angeles Raiders. Oh, Chiefs. How
- 14:36Speaker 1: about my Chiefs? The Chiefs are 4-0. That's right.
- 14:40Speaker 3: Hey, this was a good game. That's why I told
- 14:42Speaker 3: you this would be a toss-up, but I was really
- 14:43Speaker 3: riding with my team. With my chiefs on this, I'm
- 14:46Speaker 3: never going to turn my back on really just the
- 14:48Speaker 3: cerebral mind, great coaching of Andy Reid, and the phenomenal
- 14:52Speaker 3: play of a guy like Patrick Mahomes. So, hey, I mean,
- 14:56Speaker 3: I think it lived up to the billing, but I
- 14:58Speaker 3: think the best team won.
- 15:00Speaker 1: That Kenneth Walker kid is leading the league in rushing. Bro,
- 15:04Speaker 1: he just won the Super Bowl just last year. Super
- 15:07Speaker 1: Bowl champion, MVP.
- 15:09Speaker 3: This is nothing surprising to me, knowing that, again, he
- 15:11Speaker 3: was on the market, he's a free agent, and you
- 15:14Speaker 3: let him go to the Chiefs?
- 15:15Speaker 2: How does that happen? Let him go to the Chiefs?
- 15:19Speaker 2: I mean, I guess it's got to be money, right?
- 15:21Speaker 2: They're not offering what he thinks he's worth. Somebody comes
- 15:24Speaker 2: along with the money, and he's pew.
- 15:25Speaker 3: And for me, if I'm Kenneth Walker, and I know
- 15:29Speaker 3: he has to feel a certain way, to come off
- 15:32Speaker 3: a Super Bowl run and then you win the MVP
- 15:38Speaker 3: and then you trade me away.
- 15:41Speaker 1: To me, that's like you don't value me. Like you
- 15:44Speaker 1: don't value me. Like how is that even possible? Yeah,
- 15:47Speaker 1: that's what I'm asking.
- 15:48Speaker 3: So again, I don't know what their cap numbers are,
- 15:52Speaker 3: if it was a money thing or what have you,
- 15:54Speaker 3: but it can't be the ability because look at what
- 15:58Speaker 3: he's doing now in Kansas City and he's going to
- 16:00Speaker 3: do it even better under the coaching of Andy Reid
- 16:03Speaker 3: because Andy Reid is going to put him in the
- 16:05Speaker 3: best position to win and Not only he's running it,
- 16:08Speaker 3: he's catching it out of the backfield.
- 16:10Speaker 1: So he's one of their top, I think he's one
- 16:12Speaker 1: of their top receivers on their team as well.
- 16:15Speaker 3: So who's not made a splash just yet is Xavier Worthy.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Like he was their top draft pick like two years ago,
- 16:22Speaker 3: and we haven't really heard much of him. Obviously Travis Kelsey,
- 16:25Speaker 3: but once you get into the season, the weather starts
- 16:28Speaker 3: to change a little bit, and then you start a little.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Right, them summer teams. Yeah.
- 16:33Speaker 2: The teams from those nice weather places, come over here
- 16:36Speaker 2: to this frozen tundra. Yeah.
- 16:37Speaker 3: But again, that's, I mean, but you need to have
- 16:39Speaker 3: that chemistry. I think Rasheed Rice is on that squad.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Like you haven't really heard a lot from those, that
- 16:46Speaker 3: receiving core in Kansas city just yet, just yet. So
- 16:50Speaker 3: right now they're establishing the run. And again, they're going
- 16:53Speaker 3: to be a force to be, to be reckoned with.
- 16:54Speaker 3: I mean, I'm not, oh yeah, not good.
- 16:57Speaker 1: I was just about to say, I'm not going to
- 16:59Speaker 1: be surprised.
- 17:00Speaker 3: I am not going to be surprised at all.
- 17:02Speaker 2: If they're, they're, In the running for the Super Bowl.
- 17:05Speaker 2: What makes Patrick Mahomes so special?
- 17:07Speaker 3: I mean, his ability, his, again, his knowledge of the game. Just,
- 17:12Speaker 3: I mean, the game is slowed down. It's like he's
- 17:15Speaker 3: a man playing with, like, little kids out there. He's
- 17:17Speaker 3: playing backyard football, and Andy Reid has given him that
- 17:21Speaker 3: leash to do.
- 17:22Speaker 1: So within reason. He can't be out there just going
- 17:25Speaker 1: there gunslinging.
- 17:26Speaker 3: But, yeah, Patrick wants to win games, so he's going to, again,
- 17:31Speaker 3: assess the defense and take what they give him.
- 17:34Speaker 1: The Panthers spanked the Lions, 32-26.
- 17:36Speaker 3: I'm not surprised that the player Bryce Young, everybody wrote
- 17:41Speaker 3: this guy off a couple of years ago, but you
- 17:43Speaker 3: don't play at Alabama being an elite quarterback, winning a
- 17:46Speaker 3: Heisman Trophy at Alabama and not being an elite quarterback.
- 17:51Speaker 3: And then obviously they questioned his size, things of that nature.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Why do that when Drew Brees was just as small,
- 17:58Speaker 3: not as tall, and still accomplished a lot? So for him,
- 18:02Speaker 3: Bryce Young is used to playing with elite receivers. He's
- 18:05Speaker 3: used to playing with elite players around him. You put
- 18:07Speaker 3: those players in place for him, then you're going to
- 18:10Speaker 3: see what he's doing right now on this stage.
- 18:13Speaker 1: So it's not surprising.
- 18:14Speaker 3: And he's had a couple of years on the belt
- 18:16Speaker 3: to take those beatings physically and from the media as well.
- 18:21Speaker 1: But I've run into his mom and his dad a
- 18:23Speaker 1: couple of times.
- 18:24Speaker 3: I've always shown them my love. I'm like, yo, just
- 18:28Speaker 3: tell your kid, keep.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Doing what he's doing.
- 18:30Speaker 3: It's going to turn around for him. And I know
- 18:32Speaker 3: he has a strong head on his shoulder. And what
- 18:34Speaker 3: you're seeing is nothing short of spectacular. Going into, I think,
- 18:37Speaker 3: third or fourth season, he has a good receiver in T-Mac,
- 18:41Speaker 3: who went off, by the way.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Yeah, he had 192 yards, two touchdowns. What went off? Yeah. Man,
- 18:49Speaker 1: I saw Bryce come out of that pocket. He threw
- 18:51Speaker 1: on the run. And did you see that sideline catch? No,
- 18:55Speaker 1: it wasn't like that. Toe tag, drag. I was showing
- 18:58Speaker 1: you my toes. Oh, but I thought you was like. No, no, no.
- 19:01Speaker 1: This was in the way. Yeah. Yeah, no, no, no.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Trust me. Let me ask you something about that. As
- 19:10Speaker 1: you're running to the side. Field awareness. You got to
- 19:13Speaker 1: know where you are. That's what I was going to
- 19:15Speaker 1: ask you. You know where you are. Can you see
- 19:18Speaker 1: down there? Yeah, yeah. You got peripheral.
- 19:20Speaker 3: You know what I mean? I can see lots. I
- 19:22Speaker 3: can see some stuff over here. You know, your peripheral,
- 19:24Speaker 3: you know.
- 19:24Speaker 1: I'm just saying the helmet is like, I mean, when
- 19:26Speaker 1: I played. You know, I had a double drop. Yeah,
- 19:30Speaker 1: we're talking about when he played, bro. That's crazy to me.
- 19:34Speaker 1: But again, it's like you being on stage.
- 19:35Speaker 3: And if you've been on the stage enough times in
- 19:37Speaker 3: that same particular space, but as it relates to football,
- 19:40Speaker 3: all the football fields are the same regulation size.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Right. So you know where you are on the football field.
- 19:46Speaker 3: And when that ball is thrown, you really want to
- 19:49Speaker 3: focus on the catch no matter where you feel you
- 19:52Speaker 3: want to you want to catch the ball first because
- 19:54Speaker 3: if you catch it you're not you're out of bounds
- 19:56Speaker 3: it's no good they got another dude with a weird
- 19:58Speaker 3: name chubba chuba oh he balled out he had 122
- 20:01Speaker 3: yards oh he bought touchdowns yeah again this is what
- 20:05Speaker 3: you need especially from an offense, you need a running game,
- 20:08Speaker 3: you need a passing game. They're seeming to now start
- 20:11Speaker 3: to find their groove and their rhythm. I just hope
- 20:15Speaker 3: and I wish, I hope and wish that he continues
- 20:18Speaker 3: this play. And I think Bryce Young, he's leading the
- 20:22Speaker 3: league in passing right now. And they don't even have
- 20:27Speaker 3: Xavier Leggett, their top receiver.
- 20:31Speaker 1: So once he comes back into the fold, I mean,
- 20:33Speaker 1: look out. Did you pick Jacksonville? Over Cincinnati?
- 20:37Speaker 3: I did pick Jacksonville. And I knew that, yeah, I did.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Please like, share, subscribe, and rewind. I picked the Jaguars
- 20:46Speaker 3: because of my guy, Travis Hunter.
- 20:48Speaker 1: He had a pick last week. That pick was nice.
- 20:49Speaker 3: And then I knew he's about to find his stride
- 20:52Speaker 3: and his rhythm. And this is what's so, not strange,
- 20:55Speaker 3: but this is what's so great about him. He played
- 20:57Speaker 3: both sides of the ball when he was at Colorado.
- 21:00Speaker 1: And he did it.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Both at a high level. And everybody said that he
- 21:03Speaker 3: couldn't do it. He's in that category of elite players.
- 21:07Speaker 3: When you have someone that can do that on both
- 21:09Speaker 3: sides of the ball, the upside is awesome. And then,
- 21:12Speaker 3: like I said, he's better on defense for sure. But
- 21:16Speaker 3: his catching, his ball skills, hand-eye skills are just, just
- 21:23Speaker 3: high level enough for him.
- 21:25Speaker 1: To play on the offensive side of the ball as well.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Talk about one of your favorite people to not necessarily
- 21:29Speaker 1: pick on, but Joe Burrow, Joe Burrow.
- 21:33Speaker 2: 428 yards and still lost, which is what you say.
- 21:36Speaker 2: It don't matter about the stats. If you can't get
- 21:39Speaker 2: into the end.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Zone, I guarantee he'll shave off or take away a
- 21:42Speaker 3: hundred of those yards for a W.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Are they in trouble? Uh, I wouldn't say they're in trouble. Um, Again,
- 21:48Speaker 1: you know my favorite thing, it's too early to tell. Okay,
- 21:52Speaker 1: so tell me if it's too early for Justin Herbert.
- 21:55Speaker 1: They own four. They probably want to start the season over.
- 21:59Speaker 1: If they could, if they want to start this thing.
- 22:02Speaker 1: They just lost to the Seahawks. I knew they were
- 22:03Speaker 1: going to win. You picked that one. Yeah, I knew
- 22:05Speaker 1: they were going to win. You don't have to rewind.
- 22:07Speaker 1: We know that one for sure.
- 22:07Speaker 2: But with Herbert, I mean, this dude was, he was
- 22:13Speaker 2: touted the king.
- 22:15Speaker 1: But I don't even know the makeup there.
- 22:17Speaker 3: I don't know anybody except for Herbert and the coach,
- 22:21Speaker 3: Jim Harbaugh.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I don't know anybody over there. You don't know any Chargers?
- 22:24Speaker 1: I don't know any Chargers. Your Niners won. Of course.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Of course. 24-14. And guess who's balling out? Who is that?
- 22:34Speaker 1: Deebo Samuel. He got in the end zone again. This
- 22:37Speaker 1: is like, what, two or three weekends in a row?
- 22:38Speaker 1: He keeps scoring.
- 22:41Speaker 3: I love this because Kyle Shanahan, those two have made amends.
- 22:45Speaker 3: And again, he has really adjusted and not really.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Pigeonholed him to play one position.
- 22:51Speaker 3: Because literally before he got traded to Washington, they literally
- 22:54Speaker 3: had him at playing receiver like he was WR1.
- 22:58Speaker 1: And I knew that's not the saying that he can't
- 23:00Speaker 1: do it, but that's not his physical makeup.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Like I said, people say this, use this term Swiss
- 23:08Speaker 3: Army Knife, basically just a multi-purpose type of athlete. He
- 23:12Speaker 3: can play a little bit of everything. They're utilizing him
- 23:15Speaker 3: to his strengths to make plays within that offense.
- 23:18Speaker 1: CMC, I mean, Christian McCaffrey, I mean, he hasn't really
- 23:21Speaker 1: gone off, but he's playing. He's productive. The receiving core,
- 23:25Speaker 1: nobody's going off in the receiving core, but they're being productive.
- 23:28Speaker 1: And that's what you need.
- 23:29Speaker 3: You need a balanced team on offense.
- 23:32Speaker 2: No quite game changers yet.
- 23:35Speaker 1: No, no, no, not just yet. I think the closest
- 23:37Speaker 1: to a game changer that would be– Can I say
- 23:40Speaker 1: it again? The closest to.
- 23:42Speaker 3: A game changer on that offense right now would be
- 23:45Speaker 3: Brock Purdy. Do you have some game changers on that offense? Yeah,
- 23:49Speaker 3: the CMCs, your Debo Samuels.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Yes, but right now. Just haven't done it.
- 23:56Speaker 3: They're doing what they're supposed to do, and that's win
- 23:58Speaker 3: ball games. They don't care how it looks or how
- 24:01Speaker 3: it gets done as long as you're winning.
- 24:04Speaker 1: All right. Well, it's time to get to your popcorn. Oh,
- 24:07Speaker 1: the popcorn power five, baby. Yeah. Actually, it was really
- 24:10Speaker 1: easy this week, too. It was really easy. You thought so? Yeah.
- 24:15Speaker 1: There were some ballers.
- 24:16Speaker 3: It's pretty easy because two of the top five are
- 24:19Speaker 3: on the same team.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Okay. Two of the top five are on the same team. Okay. Wait,
- 24:23Speaker 1: let me ask you something. Can you make your power
- 24:26Speaker 1: five without a win? Absolutely.
- 24:28Speaker 3: If it's worthy enough, if it's worthy enough– For me
- 24:32Speaker 3: to go put some popcorn and some extra butter on
- 24:34Speaker 3: my popcorn.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Right.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, you did it with the linebacker. What was
- 24:39Speaker 1: his name? Talanoa. Yeah, Talanoa Hufanga for the Denver Broncos. Yes. Yeah,
- 24:45Speaker 1: he had like two picks, one for pick six. Yeah,
- 24:49Speaker 1: so you can make it. All right, give me your
- 24:53Speaker 1: top five for the week. Yeah, let's do it, baby,
- 24:55Speaker 1: my popcorn. Power five. Okay, you said it was easy,
- 24:58Speaker 1: so I'm dying to hear this. Oh, this week? I
- 25:01Speaker 1: already told you, because out of the five, four of
- 25:05Speaker 1: them are on the same team. So they definitely went off.
- 25:09Speaker 1: They popped off like no other. Number five.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Number five, this is probably surprising to a lot of people,
- 25:15Speaker 3: but I've been giving him, I've been calling him, I
- 25:19Speaker 3: am his accountability voice.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Okay.
- 25:24Speaker 3: My guy who took over a couple of weeks ago
- 25:27Speaker 3: for Jackson Dart, Jameis Winston. Number five, my guy, 18
- 25:33Speaker 3: for 29, 250 yards, three touchdowns.
- 25:34Speaker 1: That's great. Number five, Jameis Winston, baby. I know people
- 25:40Speaker 1: wrote him off. Hey. You never did. No, sir. You're
- 25:44Speaker 1: his muse.
- 25:45Speaker 3: Hey, because I know what he's capable of, and I
- 25:47Speaker 3: know the position that he's in right now. To play
- 25:50Speaker 3: in the city of the New York football giants, you
- 25:54Speaker 3: got the Jets there.
- 25:56Speaker 1: You got the New York Knicks there. The Yankees.
- 26:00Speaker 3: New York is not really the Mets. That's not an
- 26:03Speaker 3: easy place to play. So I know there's a lot
- 26:05Speaker 3: of pressure on him. It's going to be a lot more.
- 26:07Speaker 3: It seems like you got a lot more eyes on
- 26:09Speaker 3: you in New York, especially when you're the quarterback. It's
- 26:12Speaker 3: a big responsibility. So I applaud him and commend him
- 26:15Speaker 3: on really his poise, performing under pressure.
- 26:18Speaker 1: He may say he ain't got no pressure, but it's
- 26:20Speaker 1: a lot of pressure. He's doing well. I just need you, Jameis. Hey.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Cut down on those interceptions. You do that, boy. Game over.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Hey, boy, it's going to be game over. You're going
- 26:30Speaker 3: to be efficient. I'm already knowing what you're doing now.
- 26:33Speaker 3: I see what you're doing now. Hey, cut down on
- 26:35Speaker 3: those INTs and let's get there.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Number four. Number four. Kenneth Walker. Woo. The thud. You
- 26:43Speaker 1: already know what it is. Chiefs. Super Bowl MVP. Somebody's
- 26:50Speaker 1: trash is always somebody's treasure. Message. And you see what
- 26:53Speaker 1: Andy Reid does. Andy Reid finds, yeah, and he finds
- 26:58Speaker 1: pieces that's.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Good for his offense and he knows what's going to
- 27:01Speaker 3: make his offense go. Number 15 makes it go. But
- 27:04Speaker 3: you have those other guys, it's really going to go.
- 27:08Speaker 1: That's my guy. He had 22 carries, 177 yards, and
- 27:12Speaker 1: two touchdowns. Number three. Number three, CeeDee Lamb. Boy, this
- 27:20Speaker 1: guy went off.
- 27:20Speaker 3: 17 catches, 189 yards, and a touchdown.
- 27:28Speaker 1: He balled out. Number two. Oh, number two. Like I
- 27:32Speaker 1: told you, this was pretty easy.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Two of the top five on the same team.
- 27:38Speaker 1: My guy, T-Mac. Yes. Something, something raw. Yes, he went off.
- 27:45Speaker 1: This guy right here had 14 catches, 192 yards, and
- 27:47Speaker 1: two touchdowns. But guess how? He wouldn't have done that
- 27:52Speaker 1: without my guy who's number one. But let's just talk.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Let's just give this guy T-Mac his flowers. Right. Because
- 27:59Speaker 1: he's stepping up.
- 28:01Speaker 3: That's one of the things, the key things in playing
- 28:03Speaker 3: professional football. A lot of players, they say they're ready.
- 28:07Speaker 3: They want to do this and they want to do that.
- 28:09Speaker 3: And then when they get their opportunity, they don't produce.
- 28:12Speaker 3: This guy right here, prime example, waiting your time, numbers called.
- 28:16Speaker 3: This guy right here. Hear this thing. 14 catches, 192 yards,
- 28:22Speaker 3: two touchdowns.
- 28:23Speaker 1: And guess what?
- 28:24Speaker 3: He could not do it without our popcorn power five
- 28:28Speaker 3: number one player of the week. And that's Bryce Young.
- 28:32Speaker 3: 29 for 41. 329 yards, two touchdowns. And guess what?
- 28:38Speaker 3: No interceptions.
- 28:40Speaker 1: You hear that, Jameis? Yeah.
- 28:42Speaker 3: And I think that's what's so key about this guy.
- 28:44Speaker 3: And again, I alluded to it earlier. A lot of
- 28:47Speaker 3: people wrote this guy off.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Too small.
- 28:50Speaker 3: You know, making bad decisions. You know, he had a
- 28:53Speaker 3: case where he was throwing a lot of interceptions out.
- 28:55Speaker 3: The game was probably a little bit too fast for him.
- 28:57Speaker 3: It was faster than it was at Alabama. So he
- 28:59Speaker 3: had to now, you know, readjust, you know, acclimate himself
- 29:03Speaker 3: to the speed of the NFL game. Now you're starting
- 29:05Speaker 3: to see the Heisman Trophy winner that this guy was
- 29:08Speaker 3: coming from Alabama. A few years on this belt, now
- 29:11Speaker 3: he has weapons. This guy's used to playing with elite players.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Got protection.
- 29:17Speaker 3: Coaches understand what he can do. Now he's got to
- 29:20Speaker 3: go out there, and what he's doing now is he's producing.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Okay. I thought Dak might have made your top five. No.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Stafford would have made your top five. I mean, yeah,
- 29:27Speaker 1: there's a lot of notables. There's a lot of notables here.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Dante Banks picked six in a 98 yards. Byron Young,
- 29:34Speaker 3: two and a half sacks with two tackle for losses.
- 29:38Speaker 1: You mentioned Dak. Dak, yeah. A stat padding game. No, no,
- 29:42Speaker 1: that's not. I needed to do it.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Against a formidable opponent. If he does that, then he
- 29:47Speaker 3: can make my top five.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Right now, no way.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Kyle Manungai, he had 30 carries, 146 yards, two touchdowns.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Two touchdowns. Do a little bit more. I need these guys.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Do a little bit more. You want to make my
- 29:59Speaker 1: popcorn power five? Do a little bit more. Okay. The
- 30:02Speaker 1: football season is heating up, and every week feels bigger
- 30:06Speaker 1: with DraftKings. The DraftKings Sports app is now live in
- 30:09Speaker 1: all 50 states.
- 30:10Speaker 3: That means from Texas to California to Florida.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Every fan is in on the excitement. Follow the teams
- 30:16Speaker 1: you love, keep up with the biggest games, and experience
- 30:19Speaker 1: the excitement of football all week long. No matter which
- 30:22Speaker 1: games you're watching, you're always connected with one app. Get
- 30:26Speaker 1: to the pick. Get to the pick. Are you ready? Yeah.
- 30:29Speaker 1: I got to go undefeated this week. I got to
- 30:31Speaker 1: go undefeated. I only had one loss last week. Please like, share, subscribe,
- 30:35Speaker 1: and rewind. Cowboys and the Bucks. This is an NFC
- 30:39Speaker 1: conference game. Who do you got, Cowboys? You are fair weather.
- 30:45Speaker 1: What do you mean?
- 30:45Speaker 2: You didn't like them until they won this week.
- 30:48Speaker 3: They're going to win this week, dog. The last game
- 30:51Speaker 3: was a stat padding game. Yeah, they played the Houston
- 30:53Speaker 3: Texans that were 0-4.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Eagles-Jaguars. Eagles-Jaguars. Oh, I'm torn, man. The Jaguars are playing.
- 31:01Speaker 1: They're playing well. You know, if the Eagles lose, they're
- 31:04Speaker 1: going to be under 500. That means batteries. Yeah, and
- 31:07Speaker 1: I got to come in here and try to defend them. Man,
- 31:13Speaker 1: this is tough. I'm going with the Eagles. You're going
- 31:17Speaker 1: with the Eagles?
- 31:17Speaker 3: I'm going with the Eagles because they need this win.
- 31:20Speaker 1: They need this win. Sorry, Jack. Sorry, T-Hunter. Travis, I'm
- 31:24Speaker 1: rooting for y'all this week, but I got to go
- 31:25Speaker 1: with the NFC. I got to go with my Eagles.
- 31:28Speaker 1: We got Raiders Patriots. Raiders. That's it? Yeah, I think, yeah.
- 31:34Speaker 1: They're 3-1. They're playing well. I mean, they got away
- 31:39Speaker 1: with the game last week. I mean, they needed that win.
- 31:42Speaker 1: They're in the same boat as a couple other teams
- 31:45Speaker 1: that need wins.
- 31:47Speaker 3: This was the best thing for them because they were
- 31:49Speaker 3: going to probably try to fire Vrabel if they had
- 31:51Speaker 3: lost this game.
- 31:53Speaker 1: So, yeah, the Raiders, 3-1. They lost a close game
- 31:56Speaker 1: to the Chiefs. So, you know. Okay. Niners, Seahawks. Seahawks. No. No.
- 32:05Speaker 1: I'm going to go Niners. I'm going to go Niners. Okay.
- 32:09Speaker 3: I said Seahawks because– The Seahawks seems to have had
- 32:14Speaker 3: the Niners number the last few games, especially play out there,
- 32:17Speaker 3: knocked them out.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I was really rooting for them last year. But you
- 32:22Speaker 1: know what?
- 32:23Speaker 3: My Niners are balling. My Niners, I think they about
- 32:27Speaker 3: to go on a streak, to be quite honest.
- 32:29Speaker 1: I think they're going to go on probably like maybe six,
- 32:31Speaker 1: seven game streak before they lose any. So I'm going
- 32:34Speaker 1: with my Niners. Okay.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Big NFC West game. It's always like this. Last year,
- 32:40Speaker 3: they were in the playoffs. they had some close games
- 32:43Speaker 3: during the course of the season and then we kind
- 32:45Speaker 3: of knew it was going to come down to them
- 32:46Speaker 3: in the playoffs.
- 32:47Speaker 1: They went up there and stunk it up. The Seattle Seahawks.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Murder was the case that they gave them. B-T-A.
- 32:54Speaker 3: I was, I actually, I got, got an appearance to
- 32:59Speaker 3: appear in San Francisco to have a watch game.
- 33:03Speaker 1: One of those watch parties? Yes, and it wasn't much
- 33:06Speaker 1: to watch. It was not much to watch, man. I'm
- 33:10Speaker 1: talking about from the beginning to the end.
- 33:13Speaker 3: The first play, I think, if I'm not mistaken, the kickoff,
- 33:18Speaker 3: if they didn't score, they damn near took it to
- 33:19Speaker 3: the house. I mean, that was the beginning of the
- 33:24Speaker 3: end for them, and it didn't get any better.
- 33:26Speaker 1: So this year, new team. Um, they're playing well. I'm
- 33:29Speaker 1: going with them. I'm going with the 49ers. Rams, Bills. Rams, Bills.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Come on, Bills. Damn it, Josh. Come on now. Remember
- 33:35Speaker 1: to get your helmet out and talk to it. Rams, Bills.
- 33:39Speaker 1: I'm going to rub it. Come on, Josh. I need you.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Let's go. Should Josh run a little bit more? Should
- 33:47Speaker 1: he rush a little bit more? Um, I mean, run
- 33:50Speaker 1: when you need to run.
- 33:52Speaker 3: Make better decisions with the football, which has kind of
- 33:54Speaker 3: been his Achilles heels. Um, in certain parts and times
- 33:59Speaker 3: of the game. If he can play efficient, be smart
- 34:02Speaker 3: with the football, protect it, throw it away if you
- 34:03Speaker 3: don't have anything, don't force anything.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Live to play another day. Okay, here's a team that
- 34:08Speaker 1: got me my new kitchen. Thanks for the bet we had. Oh,
- 34:11Speaker 1: you got a new kitchen? Please like, share, and subscribe,
- 34:13Speaker 1: and rewind. Bears-Packers.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Yeah, the Chicago Mojo Brooks Bears going against the Packers,
- 34:22Speaker 3: Green Bay Packers, Jordan Love.
- 34:23Speaker 1: This is a NFC North matchup.
- 34:27Speaker 3: I have to go with the fact that those Bears,
- 34:31Speaker 3: considering they're winning without Caleb Williams, this is good.
- 34:38Speaker 1: This is good for the team. Is that bad for Caleb, though?
- 34:42Speaker 3: No, I think it allows him to, honestly, I don't
- 34:44Speaker 3: think there's any pressure that he's not going to get.
- 34:46Speaker 1: His job back. That's just how this works. But again,
- 34:49Speaker 1: it allows him, honestly, to get healthier and not rush back.
- 34:53Speaker 3: You don't want to have a situation where, again, he's
- 34:56Speaker 3: itching back. No, take all the necessary time you need
- 34:59Speaker 3: to because anybody knows and everybody knows that if you've
- 35:02Speaker 3: had a hamstring injury, it can linger if you try
- 35:06Speaker 3: to press, press, press, and try to get back on
- 35:08Speaker 3: it before you're ready to and then you're going to
- 35:11Speaker 3: injure it somewhere down the road. You come back and
- 35:14Speaker 3: then you're injured in the next game, and then you're
- 35:16Speaker 3: going to put you out for another two or three weeks,
- 35:17Speaker 3: and then you try to, you're going to set yourself back.
- 35:20Speaker 3: So I think this is a game, honestly, that I
- 35:22Speaker 3: think they're very capable of winning.
- 35:25Speaker 1: They're riding hot right now. They're high and hot. So
- 35:29Speaker 1: I'm going with the Bears right now. Does the Packers
- 35:33Speaker 1: need to win this game? Does Jordan Love need to
- 35:35Speaker 1: step up? Yeah, this would be a great win for
- 35:38Speaker 1: the Packers if they can beat the Bears. But let
- 35:40Speaker 1: me ask you something.
- 35:40Speaker 2: When you're injured, right, is there some sort of– there's
- 35:43Speaker 2: got to be a little bit of fear that the
- 35:45Speaker 2: guy who was in your spot is playing too well
- 35:48Speaker 2: and you might not be able to get your spot back.
- 35:50Speaker 1: I mean, this is one of those situations where, again,
- 35:52Speaker 1: you have to bet on yourself. You bet on yourself.
- 35:55Speaker 1: But we need the coach to bet on you.
- 35:57Speaker 3: But again, no, I mean, and again, some coaches have, again,
- 36:01Speaker 3: it's a coach's decision. If they feel like this guy
- 36:04Speaker 3: is riding high and the team is playing well with
- 36:07Speaker 3: this guy and they don't want to mess up the
- 36:09Speaker 3: flow and the continuity and the chemistry, then... They're going
- 36:13Speaker 3: to ride with the hot hand until that guy messes up.
- 36:15Speaker 3: And then, again, it's going to be obviously a quarterback controversy,
- 36:20Speaker 3: but at the end of the day, you want to
- 36:21Speaker 3: win ballgames. And if you're a team guy, no matter
- 36:24Speaker 3: what the situation is, at least you're getting healthy. When
- 36:27Speaker 3: you talk about backup quarterbacks, this is why you have
- 36:32Speaker 3: quality backups. They've won three games with three different quarterbacks.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Caleb... Case, Keenum, now Tyson, Bajan.
- 36:44Speaker 3: The year before they had Justin Fields, they had a
- 36:47Speaker 3: bunch of quarterbacks and they were like, how can these
- 36:48Speaker 3: guys coexist?
- 36:50Speaker 1: You have two number ones, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 36:52Speaker 3: But now you're seeing really the importance of a backup quarterbacks.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Now three wins, kind of like a three-headed monster, three
- 37:00Speaker 3: different quarterbacks to actually.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Reel off some wins. Again, Who knows? Who knows? Jim
- 37:08Speaker 1: McMahon may play this week. He may play this week.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Jake McNown is back. Right. There's no telling who may
- 37:15Speaker 1: be a quarterback, but whatever and whomever is back there,
- 37:19Speaker 1: it seems like they know what to do, how to
- 37:21Speaker 1: do it, and it's equating to wins. Is this a
- 37:23Speaker 1: win for the Green Bay Packers that they need to win? Absolutely.
- 37:27Speaker 1: But for whatever reason, the.
- 37:28Speaker 3: Formula that Ben Johnson has found with his backup quarterbacks
- 37:32Speaker 3: seems to be working.
- 37:34Speaker 1: So right now, they're riding high. They're riding hot.
- 37:37Speaker 3: I'm going with the Chicago Bears on this one, even
- 37:39Speaker 3: though Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers need this win.
- 37:44Speaker 1: And those are my reasons why. One app, every sport,

- 38:05Speaker 4: We'll be right back. You recently did Max Kellerman.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Was that your first time doing it since the time
- 38:55Speaker 2: you did the Stephen A.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Smith thing?
- 38:57Speaker 3: Right, this is the first time I've seen Max talk
- 39:00Speaker 3: to Max since the infamous segment or piece that we
- 39:05Speaker 3: did on ESPN.
- 39:07Speaker 1: I think it was some years ago. Yeah, it was.
- 39:10Speaker 1: Stephen A. got the man fired for doing– a job
- 39:15Speaker 1: probably better than him. But yeah, it was a.
- 39:19Speaker 2: I think Stephen would say it was more of a
- 39:21Speaker 2: chemistry thing. Like I said, um max was better than
- 39:26Speaker 2: him um well definitely thought he was blacker than him
- 39:30Speaker 2: that i did i did we sat down we had
- 39:32Speaker 2: a little chuckle about that and i did see i
- 39:36Speaker 2: did see and i saw that you know he's uh
- 39:39Speaker 2: a lot than from when.
- 39:41Speaker 1: I last saw it. So Stephen A is back to
- 39:43Speaker 1: being blacker than Max. Yeah, exactly. I was like, man.
- 39:46Speaker 1: White guys love when you call them black. You ever
- 39:47Speaker 1: notice that? Really? You think so? Oh, it's a compliment.
- 39:50Speaker 1: You know what I mean? White boys love, dude, you're...
- 39:54Speaker 1: Call the white boy the N-word tomorrow. He might blush.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Do it right now. Call him on. Hey, they might
- 40:03Speaker 1: take that as a compliment. They don't want no black problems, though. No,
- 40:06Speaker 1: they don't.
- 40:06Speaker 2: That's what they don't want. Yeah, they want the tan.
- 40:08Speaker 2: They want the hops, the skills, the dangling. They want
- 40:11Speaker 2: everything but those problems. They don't want that goddamn bank account.
- 40:14Speaker 2: They don't want no problems, though. They don't want the
- 40:16Speaker 2: police to pull them over. No, but it was a
- 40:18Speaker 2: good chat, though. I was happy to sit down and
- 40:21Speaker 2: talk with Matt.
- 40:22Speaker 3: I know his producers reached out to me. And then
- 40:24Speaker 3: we actually talked on the phone. He thanked me for
- 40:28Speaker 3: coming on the show. And I'm like, bro, it's like anytime.
- 40:30Speaker 3: I was like, honestly, I said, I've been, you know,
- 40:32Speaker 3: it's not a, wasn't that I was looking to talk
- 40:35Speaker 3: to him, but I figured we would have run into
- 40:37Speaker 3: each other at some point. But yeah, it was good
- 40:39Speaker 3: to sit down and talk to him. There are some
- 40:41Speaker 3: questions I wish I had.
- 40:42Speaker 1: When he comes on our show, there are some questions
- 40:44Speaker 1: that I'm going to ask him that we didn't ask.
- 40:47Speaker 1: What's one of the first questions?
- 40:48Speaker 3: What is the state of he and Stephen A. 's
- 40:49Speaker 3: relationship right now? No, I mean, that's something that I
- 40:53Speaker 3: didn't ask. I didn't want to go too in-depth with it.
- 40:55Speaker 3: I wanted to save it for get to the point
- 40:57Speaker 3: because that's.
- 40:58Speaker 1: One of the first questions I'm going to ask him
- 41:01Speaker 1: is what is the state and nature of their relationship now?
- 41:04Speaker 1: And did he get him fired? Because honestly, he got—
- 41:09Speaker 1: It was Stephen A. 's show. Right.
- 41:11Speaker 3: But again, it's like if you have a good show
- 41:14Speaker 3: and you have good chemistry with someone and they're offering
- 41:18Speaker 3: good debates and topics and offering that you can feed
- 41:21Speaker 3: off each other.
- 41:22Speaker 1: If it's not broke, what is there to fix? But
- 41:25Speaker 1: maybe it was broke. No, it wasn't. From a public
- 41:31Speaker 1: view of things, it wasn't broken. Maybe he may have
- 41:34Speaker 1: thought it was. But that's what's different internal. Like right now,
- 41:36Speaker 1: people think I like you. I was going to get
- 41:39Speaker 1: to that, but you beat me to it. You beat
- 41:42Speaker 1: me to the point. I was getting to that because
- 41:46Speaker 1: I knew you was going to go there. But, yeah,
- 41:48Speaker 1: but that would be like going to the booth, like
- 41:50Speaker 1: telling everybody, like, I don't want to work with you.
- 41:53Speaker 1: I would like to replace Chris Spencer with Joe Torre. Yeah, right.
- 41:56Speaker 1: I'm going to work with somebody else. Maestro Clark. Yeah, exactly.
- 42:01Speaker 3: I mean, but no, I mean, I think he was
- 42:04Speaker 3: a great addition to their show. Very knowledgeable.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Real versed in a lot of topics. And as you saw,
- 42:11Speaker 1: and I told him, like, bro, like, and he asked me, like,
- 42:13Speaker 1: what went into it and what made me say that?
- 42:16Speaker 1: And I'm like, Max, I'm like, you're versatile with a
- 42:20Speaker 1: number of topics. Your vernacular is on point.
- 42:25Speaker 3: And again, I just said, you just seem to be
- 42:28Speaker 3: in the know of things, even with some of the
- 42:30Speaker 3: black topics that you wouldn't think that certain white people
- 42:33Speaker 3: will be versed in. And so- Just talk, like I said,
- 42:37Speaker 3: we were talking about the Colin Kaepernick thing, blah, blah, blah,
- 42:39Speaker 3: this and that and the other.
- 42:40Speaker 1: And again, with how things unfolded.
- 42:43Speaker 3: And, you know, Steve and I had some pushback about
- 42:46Speaker 3: certain things or whatever.
- 42:47Speaker 1: You pissed him off.
- 42:49Speaker 3: And I was like, bro, and I'm like, how does
- 42:51Speaker 3: he know and feel a certain way about it like
- 42:54Speaker 3: I do and you don't?
- 42:56Speaker 1: And I'm like, bro, he almost seems blacker than you.
- 42:58Speaker 1: He didn't like that. Did you say almost seems or
- 43:00Speaker 1: you just said seems? Yeah, seems, I don't know. It was.
- 43:04Speaker 3: Seems blacker than him, whatever the case may be. That
- 43:08Speaker 3: has rang to be true. Rang to be true.
- 43:10Speaker 1: But it was a good chat. Yeah, you guys check
- 43:14Speaker 1: out the podcast. It's called Game Over.
- 43:16Speaker 3: Max Kellerman, go check out the sit down.
- 43:20Speaker 1: It was like an hour, like about an hour and 30,
- 43:22Speaker 1: hour and 40 minutes. We sat down for a good bit.
- 43:24Speaker 1: That's great. Yeah. Shout out to Max, man. Appreciate you.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Can't wait to have you on the show. Get to
- 43:30Speaker 1: the point. And then so I can get to the point.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Speaking of leaving shows, Tony Romo, gone from CBS. I'm
- 43:38Speaker 1: not surprised. I mean, why the hell do I care?
- 43:41Speaker 1: He didn't care when I left.
- 43:42Speaker 3: He didn't care about my departure from the Cowboys some
- 43:45Speaker 3: years ago. So why in the hell would we be
- 43:47Speaker 3: talking about his departure from CBS? he has a bigger problem,
- 43:51Speaker 3: which is, you know, drinking under the influence, DUIs, things
- 43:54Speaker 3: of that nature. People that, you know, guys like that,
- 43:56Speaker 3: they put them in, in high regard, high esteem. You
- 43:59Speaker 3: hire them, you give them hundreds of millions of dollars.
- 44:01Speaker 3: Guy like me, you, you don't want to pay me, uh, 250,000,
- 44:05Speaker 3: but you know, guys like that, they go in and
- 44:07Speaker 3: you embarrass themselves.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Right. Yeah.
- 44:10Speaker 3: Embarrassed the, the, the, the, the business entity. Um, so yeah,
- 44:14Speaker 3: I could really care less. Um, You know, I'm not
- 44:18Speaker 3: rooting for anybody's demise or fall, but again, who cares?
- 44:22Speaker 1: He hasn't called or talked to me since I left
- 44:23Speaker 1: the Cowboys. Damn. Yeah. I thought that was your quarterback.
- 44:27Speaker 1: It is. It was. He was my quarterback at one point. Uh-huh. Yeah.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Let's talk about some of the... I'm sorry. Not today.
- 44:36Speaker 1: He was my quarterback at one point. Not today.
- 44:39Speaker 2: All right.
- 44:39Speaker 1: I want to talk about the national average for gas prices,
- 44:43Speaker 1: which is $ 4.
- 44:43Speaker 2: 35. $ 4. 35.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Now, people in L.A. are going, where? Because here is $ 6. 52.
- 44:49Speaker 2: And let me tell you something. If it's a gas
- 44:54Speaker 2: station by a freeway, it could be $ 7.
- 44:57Speaker 1: 58. Carl, you say what? This is what you voted for.
- 45:03Speaker 3: If you're paying these high prices, if you're complaining about it,
- 45:06Speaker 3: the guy that's in the White House, this is the
- 45:09Speaker 3: reason why. these prices are at an average high and
- 45:13Speaker 3: then at a city or state side high.
- 45:17Speaker 1: This is essentially what you voted for. I mean, I don't,
- 45:20Speaker 1: there's really nothing else that I can say about it
- 45:23Speaker 1: other than. Oh, it ain't my fault. Look, the thing,
- 45:30Speaker 1: this is just, this is just one of the many issues. Yes.
- 45:33Speaker 3: That we're dealing with, but obviously it's affecting people mightily.
- 45:39Speaker 1: Food, And gas prices because you have to travel. You
- 45:42Speaker 1: got to get to work. Food prices are at an
- 45:46Speaker 1: all time high as well. But again, when you have
- 45:50Speaker 1: to go to work, get in that car every morning,
- 45:53Speaker 1: it's hitting you in the pocket. Yes. It's an immediate.
- 45:57Speaker 1: it's immediate debit from your account. You feel it, immediate. Immediate. Oh,
- 46:03Speaker 1: it ain't my fault. Yeah.
- 46:05Speaker 3: And I'm not being as sensitive to people because I
- 46:07Speaker 3: know this is, honestly, this is hard times.
- 46:10Speaker 1: For a lot of people. Yeah, because it's not only
- 46:11Speaker 1: affecting the people who voted for him. It's the other people.
- 46:14Speaker 3: Bro, this is not a laughing matter. But again, this
- 46:16Speaker 3: is why people try to make people understand that how
- 46:21Speaker 3: voting and who you're voting for is important. And like
- 46:24Speaker 3: I said, politics, bro, I'm like, It's a tricky and
- 46:28Speaker 3: sensitive subject, but it matters when we're talking about what
- 46:32Speaker 3: we're talking about today. We're talking about $ 7 a gallon, bro.
- 46:36Speaker 1: That's crazy. And then, yeah, to go from California and
- 46:40Speaker 1: then go to you know, to the south or the
- 46:42Speaker 1: east coast and you see it like $ 3 less, you'd
- 46:44Speaker 1: be like, yo, this is like, you think, right, this
- 46:47Speaker 1: is like a discount. Like, yo, you running to the gas.
- 46:50Speaker 1: You don't even need gas. I should bring some cans
- 46:52Speaker 1: and bring them on the plane. Yeah, right. Bring it
- 46:54Speaker 1: on the plane until everybody can blow up. No. Sir,
- 46:57Speaker 1: what are you doing? This shit was $ 3. 18 in Memphis. Right, exactly.
- 47:02Speaker 1: But yeah. I'm sorry. Sir, what are you doing? It
- 47:05Speaker 1: was $ 4. 35 in Memphis. Yeah. I'm taking it back home.
- 47:08Speaker 1: I know. I mean, it makes you think that like, yo,
- 47:10Speaker 1: like I want to bring his back. Right.
- 47:12Speaker 3: Um, but yeah, I mean, it's, it's definitely, these are
- 47:15Speaker 3: hard times for a lot of people. Like this is
- 47:17Speaker 3: not a really a joking matter, but the seriousness is
- 47:21Speaker 3: that we have to know who to put in, in,
- 47:25Speaker 3: in these positions of power. Um, and again, like I said,
- 47:30Speaker 3: if you're complaining, um, You got to look yourself, go
- 47:33Speaker 3: in that bathroom, and I know you got a mirror
- 47:35Speaker 3: in there, and look at yourself in the mirror because
- 47:37Speaker 3: you're the one that voted that guy in the office.
- 47:39Speaker 3: He's the reason for a number of these prices. You
- 47:41Speaker 3: keep talking about Joe Biden and Obama. Those guys have
- 47:45Speaker 3: been out of office for years. Stop talking about that.
- 47:48Speaker 3: Talk about the now, like who's running this country right now.
- 47:52Speaker 3: He's responsible for some of our aches and pains right now.
- 47:56Speaker 2: I need you to take off your hat for this
- 47:57Speaker 2: next segment because we have a new member of our club.
- 48:02Speaker 2: LeBron James has shaved his head.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Man, I ain't put my damn hat back on. I
- 48:07Speaker 1: ain't stood no damn LeBron, man. He just joined. Hey, man.
- 48:11Speaker 1: He got more problems than losing hair. He got a
- 48:14Speaker 1: win in Philadelphia. Oh, they going to win. They stacked.
- 48:18Speaker 1: On paper. Nonetheless, welcome to the club. On paper. Feels good,
- 48:23Speaker 1: don't it? On paper. They still got to deal with
- 48:27Speaker 1: them Knicks. On paper, like I said, they look good
- 48:30Speaker 1: on paper. And he has two years left on this deal.
- 48:34Speaker 1: So there's a lot of pressure on him. He got
- 48:36Speaker 1: to produce.
- 48:37Speaker 3: He got to bring those other guys that's on that squad,
- 48:40Speaker 3: the Vijay Eskims, Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid.
- 48:44Speaker 1: You got Jalen Brown. You basically got a damn... All-star team. Yeah,
- 48:48Speaker 1: an Olympic team. To be honest, you got an Olympic team. Right.
- 48:52Speaker 1: So you got to produce. There's a lot of pressure.
- 48:54Speaker 1: Is he their missing piece?
- 48:55Speaker 3: See, that's probably why he... just went ball, because he
- 48:59Speaker 3: was going to lose it anyway. That's probably why he
- 49:03Speaker 3: went ball, because he was going to lose it anyway,
- 49:04Speaker 3: because there's going to be some pressure on that ass
- 49:07Speaker 3: this year.
- 49:07Speaker 2: Okay, well welcome to the Ball Head Association.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Glad to have you. The BHA. So I'm glad we're
- 49:14Speaker 1: starting to talk about college.
- 49:16Speaker 2: It started two or three weeks ago when you mentioned
- 49:18Speaker 2: the cat from Florida.
- 49:21Speaker 1: Tony Reno, who was.
- 49:23Speaker 2: The head coach at Yale for 14 seasons, won five
- 49:28Speaker 2: Ivy League championships, recently passed away.
- 49:31Speaker 1: His son Dante, the next day, had.
- 49:34Speaker 2: To play in a football game where he showed out
- 49:37Speaker 2: and was 22 for 39 had 298 yards, four touchdowns.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Yeah, so they, yeah, they were down a lot of points.
- 49:45Speaker 1: 21 to seven, I think. And then they scored 34
- 49:49Speaker 1: unanswered points.
- 49:51Speaker 3: Man, let me tell you, first of all, condolences to
- 49:55Speaker 3: Dante and your family. Kudos to the whole, really the
- 50:00Speaker 3: team in itself, because not only that there's a, Just
- 50:05Speaker 3: a lot of just emotion going into that game. And
- 50:08Speaker 3: then obviously, like I said, nobody can feel the emotion
- 50:11Speaker 3: like his son. You know, like obviously there was a
- 50:13Speaker 3: bigger loss with his son. But I'm sure the teammates,
- 50:17Speaker 3: you know, I can't imagine what that's like. I mean, playing,
- 50:22Speaker 3: I know what it's like to lose a father. But
- 50:25Speaker 3: to play the next day, I mean, that's really heavy.
- 50:29Speaker 3: But number one, I want to commend, you know, Dante
- 50:32Speaker 3: for really just stepping on on that field to do
- 50:35Speaker 3: what he did. I'm sure, you know, there were thoughts
- 50:39Speaker 3: of his dad, like pretty much every series going out,
- 50:42Speaker 3: I'm sure listening and being on the sideline, you know,
- 50:46Speaker 3: not having his dad there in his ear, going to
- 50:49Speaker 3: the sideline, you gotta think a lot of things that
- 50:54Speaker 3: were probably swirling through his mind at that time. But
- 50:59Speaker 3: the reality of it, just like football in life, Life
- 51:04Speaker 3: goes on. And I'm sure those are things, those are
- 51:07Speaker 3: thoughts that he had. Number one, with his family. I
- 51:12Speaker 3: don't know who the interim coach was, but I'm sure
- 51:15Speaker 3: they gave him an option to not play in this game.
- 51:19Speaker 3: And he took that option, took the opportunity to really
- 51:23Speaker 3: play for his dad, to represent his dad, to represent
- 51:26Speaker 3: that name, to represent the organization, and to do it
- 51:29Speaker 3: in that fashion, understanding that you were down so many points.
- 51:33Speaker 1: But he dug deep within. I'm pretty sure he'll probably
- 51:38Speaker 1: tell you, like, yo, he felt his dad, his presence.
- 51:40Speaker 2: I believe he said in an interview that his dad
- 51:41Speaker 2: would want him to play.
- 51:43Speaker 3: Yeah, and so to go out and do it in
- 51:45Speaker 3: that fashion, I mean, he couldn't have really represented his dad.
- 51:52Speaker 1: Any better than he did.
- 51:54Speaker 3: Again, kudos to the organization, I mean, to the university.
- 51:59Speaker 3: Kudos to the university. Kudos to those football players. And
- 52:02Speaker 3: kudos to you, Dante. Stand-up guy. I'm sure, like I said, heartfelt,
- 52:09Speaker 3: heavy out there in that field. But to play through
- 52:12Speaker 3: that and to be able to pull the victory out
- 52:15Speaker 3: nonetheless in that fashion was, I'm sure, was a huge
- 52:20Speaker 3: sigh of relief for him.
- 52:21Speaker 2: Yeah. And those are the highs of the Ivy League.
- 52:24Speaker 2: Now let's talk about the lows. This Cornell University... Man.
- 52:30Speaker 2: And the Cornell 7. This case actually happened in 2024.
- 52:35Speaker 2: But it's been brought back up. And I just don't
- 52:38Speaker 2: understand how nobody has spoken up.
- 52:43Speaker 1: We have daughters. Mine has a gun. Wow. She has
- 52:51Speaker 1: a gun? No. Oh. But yeah, we have daughters.
- 52:56Speaker 3: So this, I mean, this is a situation is like
- 53:00Speaker 3: You know, when do you have these conversations and what
- 53:04Speaker 3: do we tell our daughters if they're in a situation
- 53:07Speaker 3: like this?
- 53:08Speaker 1: You know, I know we always tell our daughters and
- 53:10Speaker 1: we even I have sons. You know, we have sons.
- 53:13Speaker 1: I have a son. Yes. And we I've shared with
- 53:16Speaker 1: my son. If a girl says no.
- 53:17Speaker 3: And gets no, walk away in a situation with our daughters.
- 53:23Speaker 3: I know my daughter spends more time with her mom,
- 53:25Speaker 3: I'm sure. And I hope she's had these conversations with him.
- 53:29Speaker 3: but we can only make so many decisions for them.
- 53:31Speaker 3: Because when they become grown adults, they're pretty much on
- 53:34Speaker 3: their own. They make their own decisions. But the things
- 53:36Speaker 3: that happen in the household when they're younger, as they
- 53:40Speaker 3: grow up and what we teach them will be those
- 53:42Speaker 3: things that they carry.
- 53:44Speaker 1: We hope they carry.
- 53:45Speaker 3: On with them when they're no longer around or in
- 53:47Speaker 3: our presence. This is for any parent, mom or dad.
- 53:53Speaker 3: What are those discussions? If you haven't had those discussions,
- 53:57Speaker 3: experiencing and watching this thing unfold, this is the time
- 54:00Speaker 3: to have those discussions.
- 54:01Speaker 1: One thing I told my daughter immediately is that you
- 54:04Speaker 1: don't drink after nobody. You don't accept no drinks from nobody.
- 54:09Speaker 2: I don't care if you saw your friend go to
- 54:11Speaker 2: the bar and then walk back with the drink or you.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Saw him in the kitchen. No, you pour your own
- 54:16Speaker 1: drinks in. You know what I mean? Because we don't
- 54:18Speaker 1: know what happens there. Right.
- 54:20Speaker 2: Secondly, I told her in terms of, they laughing because
- 54:23Speaker 2: I'm always sending them self-defense.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Moves and karate and headlocks. Jiu-jitsu. Yes.
- 54:29Speaker 2: I told her, if you're protecting yourself, you hit a throat.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Nobody ever, there's no abs on the throat. And don't
- 54:38Speaker 2: be afraid to go to somebody's eyes. Eyes, nuts, throat.
- 54:43Speaker 2: you can't, there's no weightlifting that can protect that.
- 54:45Speaker 1: What is fight or flight? Fight or flight. You do whatever, whatever.
- 54:49Speaker 1: To be safe, to get safe. To get back home safe. Exactly. Yeah, man.
- 54:53Speaker 1: And then look, I don't care what it is.
- 54:55Speaker 3: My grandmother told me like, yeah, there were guys that
- 54:57Speaker 3: were bigger than me and I, and I was in
- 55:00Speaker 3: a no win situation.
- 55:01Speaker 1: She said, pick up something, hit them and run. Yep.
- 55:04Speaker 1: Do the same. I mean, yeah. At the end of
- 55:06Speaker 1: the day, you'd rather be safe than sorry.
- 55:08Speaker 3: Um, Again, like I said, obviously we're not condoning violence,
- 55:14Speaker 3: but whatever it takes for you to come home to
- 55:17Speaker 3: see daddy, you know what I mean, one more day,
- 55:19Speaker 3: that's what you do.
- 55:20Speaker 1: So I was in Atlanta this week. I had a
- 55:21Speaker 1: show at the Atlanta Comedy Theater. Oh, I know you did.
- 55:24Speaker 1: How do you know? Because I had somebody tell me, like, oh,
- 55:28Speaker 1: I just went to a comedy show and I saw
- 55:30Speaker 1: your friend there. He was talking about you on stage.
- 55:32Speaker 1: I'm like, what? I didn't know. I didn't know you
- 55:34Speaker 1: were on stage. On tour, taking your show on the road.
- 55:38Speaker 1: And they were like, yo, he said something about you.
- 55:41Speaker 1: Get to the point. He's like, you got a podcast now?
- 55:43Speaker 1: And I'm like, yeah, how you know that? He's like, yo,
- 55:45Speaker 1: this guy was on the stage talking about Get to
- 55:47Speaker 1: the Point. And I'm like, oh, so Chris. So, yeah,
- 55:50Speaker 1: I love it. I love it.
- 55:51Speaker 3: The show is getting a lot of publicity.
- 55:55Speaker 1: Shameful plugs or not, we are out there.
- 55:58Speaker 2: So we went to go eat and my cousin was late.
- 56:01Speaker 1: So I decided to go to a barbershop now. I
- 56:04Speaker 1: really go to the barbershop.
- 56:04Speaker 2: I'm assuming your cousin's black. His name is Max Kellerman.
- 56:09Speaker 2: So I go to the barbershop, and I'm in the
- 56:11Speaker 2: barbershop chilling, and it's all black barbers, right? And we
- 56:15Speaker 2: start talking about R & B music and who are
- 56:18Speaker 2: the dopest singers. And then we start talking about who
- 56:20Speaker 2: are the dopest white, we couldn't say just R & B,
- 56:25Speaker 2: but white singers with soul, right? Who is my top five?
- 56:30Speaker 2: Are you ready to hear my top five? We can
- 56:31Speaker 2: debate it if you want to.
- 56:33Speaker 1: I already got a couple in, John B., Sam Smith. Oh, damn,
- 56:37Speaker 1: I forgot Sam Smith. Oh, so let me tell you. Oh,
- 56:39Speaker 1: he's not in your top? Okay, I shouldn't have said that. No,
- 56:42Speaker 1: but damn, I forgot Sam.
- 56:43Speaker 2: I don't know if he can replace anybody on my list.
- 56:45Speaker 1: Oh, okay. So John B., we're in the club still.
- 56:49Speaker 1: They don't know about, yeah, whatever. Okay, boom. I keep forgetting. Okay,
- 56:55Speaker 1: Mike McDonald. Okay, yeah. I know that song, but yeah. Yes.
- 56:59Speaker 1: There's not enough.
- 57:00Speaker 3: Songs for me to say he's in my top five.
- 57:03Speaker 1: It's my top five. Okay.
- 57:05Speaker 2: None of y'all did. And don't say you did. You
- 57:07Speaker 2: didn't know he was white until you saw the album cover.
- 57:09Speaker 1: Bobby Caldwell. Shit, that's a black name. Bobby Caldwell. Exactly.
- 57:14Speaker 1: That's why we all thought he was black. Bobby Caldwell.
- 57:17Speaker 1: That's a bad name. What you won't do. Do for love.
- 57:21Speaker 1: You've tried everything. You remember that? Oh, okay. Yeah. I
- 57:25Speaker 1: might not have made it sound as good as he does.
- 57:27Speaker 1: So that's my number three. Number two, Square Biz. Tina Marie. Oh, okay.
- 57:33Speaker 1: I'm talking Square Biz to you, babe. Remember L7 Square?
- 57:39Speaker 1: I get it. I hear you talking. Okay. And number one,
- 57:41Speaker 1: of course, is Robin Thicke. That's a good top five.
- 57:47Speaker 1: I like that. That's a good top five. You can't
- 57:48Speaker 1: top that. No, but let me look up something real quick.
- 57:51Speaker 1: Robin Thicke, you're number one. All right. Now, okay, I
- 57:55Speaker 1: can see why. I'm not just saying it because he
- 57:57Speaker 1: was on one of the greatest shows of all. He
- 57:59Speaker 1: didn't make that poster. He was mad at us this year.
- 58:02Speaker 3: I'm like, Real Housewives of Hollywood, he was on your show?
- 58:07Speaker 1: Yeah. You didn't watch my show? No, I didn't. I
- 58:09Speaker 1: watched your little fucking games. I didn't really like you then.
- 58:11Speaker 1: I didn't really like you like that. But I like
- 58:15Speaker 1: you now, though. Yeah. Gave you my left.
- 58:20Speaker 3: But yeah man I can see why he's in your
- 58:22Speaker 3: top five I mean yeah I would definitely of the
- 58:26Speaker 3: top five John B and Robert Thicke they're legit right
- 58:30Speaker 3: McDonald Tina Marie I don't yeah yeah so two out
- 58:36Speaker 3: of the three out of the five yeah I can
- 58:38Speaker 3: see no Michael McDonald Yeah.
- 58:40Speaker 1: Sam, why didn't you have Sam Smith in there? I
- 58:42Speaker 1: fucked up. I would replace Michael McDonald with Sam Smith. Yeah,
- 58:45Speaker 1: Sam Smith. You're right. Yeah, I think, yeah, that's true. Damn,
- 58:49Speaker 1: I just thought of somebody else. Who? Timberlake. Justin Timberlake. Yeah,
- 58:53Speaker 1: that was off the tip of my tongue. I couldn't
- 58:54Speaker 1: think of him. I'm like, yeah, Timberlake. I'm sorry.
- 58:56Speaker 3: Yeah, so Sam Smith and Timberlake, I don't know why
- 58:59Speaker 3: they're not in your top five.
- 59:00Speaker 1: Yes, I'm sorry. But it's okay. It's okay. This is
- 59:03Speaker 1: in the barbershop and they didn't help. But again, like
- 59:04Speaker 1: you said, those are your top five. Right.
- 59:06Speaker 3: I think they would have something to say about it.
- 59:09Speaker 3: Maybe if they saw you. I wonder if they ever
- 59:12Speaker 3: confront you. Like, bro, I saw your show and you
- 59:14Speaker 3: didn't put me in your top five.
- 59:15Speaker 1: I don't think I'm scared of any of them. No,
- 59:18Speaker 1: but they may just say, why wasn't I in your
- 59:19Speaker 1: top five? Well, Justin Timberlake, I'm putting you back in
- 59:21Speaker 1: and I'm definitely putting in Sam Smith. Yeah, Sam Smith.
- 59:24Speaker 1: He's incredible. So we're going to lose Michael McDonald. McDonald.
- 59:30Speaker 1: And I got to, I can't lose Bobby Caldwell. Bobby Caldwell?
- 59:35Speaker 1: You want to do, do for love? I look, man.
- 59:37Speaker 1: Is he the DM of McDonald's? But I guess soulful voices. Sam.
- 59:45Speaker 1: I can't replace John B.
- 59:46Speaker 3: While we're doing that, since you haven't, you know, they've
- 59:49Speaker 3: been in question since you couldn't just think of them
- 59:52Speaker 3: right off the bat. I'm going to extend an invite
- 59:54Speaker 3: to Sam Smith and Justin Timberlake to come on the show.
- 59:58Speaker 3: I'm going to extend an invite to Justin Timberlake and
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Sam Smith since he's having some trouble putting you in
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: his top five.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: I just didn't realize there was more great white guys
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: than I thought. So you guys are welcome to come
