- 0:02Speaker 1: On scoring rules Oustrodio. This is the Reader Panalty Show.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Good evening and welcome to the readA panicky show coming
- 0:11Speaker 2: up tonight.
- 0:12Speaker 3: A security breach.
- 0:13Speaker 2: At Parliament House, as pro Palestinian protest as unfurl huge banners,
- 0:18Speaker 2: the Safety Commissioners scaremongering exposed with exclusive.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Freedom of information data.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Bev MacArthur will tell me why see if FAY fire
- 0:27Speaker 2: fighters are taking strike action over renewable projects on five
- 0:31Speaker 2: prone land and Douglas Murray weighs in on the chaos
- 0:35Speaker 2: engulfing the Biden Whitehouse.
- 0:37Speaker 3: And what that means for the rest of the world.
- 0:40Speaker 4: And he also gives his considered opinion on former Pink
- 0:43Speaker 4: Floyd frontman Roger Waters has become an unhinged lefty losing
- 0:49Speaker 4: it and talking about lefties.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Tonight's edition features this charming Orange is the new black actress.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Take him out, Joe.
- 0:58Speaker 5: If he was Hitler and this was nineteen forty, you'd
- 1:02Speaker 5: take him out.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Well, he is Hitler and this is nineteen forty. Take him.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Out.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Let's bring in Sky and his contributor Kosher Gata Kosher,
- 1:13Speaker 2: I'm keen to get your thoughts on a leaked Trump
- 1:16Speaker 2: video that's come out earlier today and also Tucker Carlson's
- 1:21Speaker 2: speech in Melbourne earlier in the week. But let's start
- 1:24Speaker 2: with this pro Palestinian protest the breaching of security at
- 1:28Speaker 2: Parliament House today, unfurling banners, including one that read from
- 1:33Speaker 2: the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free and
- 1:36Speaker 2: no peace on stolen land genocide since seventeen eighty eight.
- 1:41Speaker 3: This is a shameful.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Display from the far left, who have been panned to
- 1:45Speaker 2: by much of the media, the Greens, even many labor politicians.
- 1:51Speaker 2: And what does it say for Parliament House security if
- 1:54Speaker 2: these clowns can gain access so easily and occupy the
- 1:58Speaker 2: roof there.
- 2:00Speaker 6: Indeed, dating this dynamic continues and continues to intensify, and
- 2:04Speaker 6: it's just a consequence of multiculturalism where we've got these
- 2:07Speaker 6: groups now they just have these beliefs and they're going
- 2:10Speaker 6: to be underbeated, coupled with the pandering oriented as you said,
- 2:13Speaker 6: society conquence free society where such types of agitators are encouraged,
- 2:17Speaker 6: and maybe they're going to have to step up security
- 2:20Speaker 6: unfortunately in the country.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Absolutely now to an exclusive Sky News report on the
- 2:25Speaker 2: e Safety Commissioner, I'll be writing about this in my
- 2:28Speaker 2: Herald Sun column for tomorrow's paper.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Data obtain under Freedom of.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Information request seems to show Julieman Grant's claims about the
- 2:37Speaker 2: climate of racism and threats.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Well they were misleading.
- 2:41Speaker 2: She had warned that in the lead up to the
- 2:43Speaker 2: Voice referendum, online abuse against Indigenous Australians was likely to intensify,
- 2:49Speaker 2: and that the number of complaints was highly concerning, but
- 2:54Speaker 2: analysis by the IPA has found there were just two
- 2:57Speaker 2: complaints made by Indigenous Australians relating to online abuse link
- 3:01Speaker 2: to the Voice during the campaign. John's Story, director of
- 3:05Speaker 2: Law and Policy at the Institute of Public Affairs, said
- 3:09Speaker 2: the narrative Julian and Grant has sought to establish that
- 3:12Speaker 2: there was a wave of racist cyber or abuse during
- 3:16Speaker 2: the referendum is not supported by her own officer's data.
- 3:21Speaker 3: I mean, this is.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Good news, kosher, because we don't want to have anybody
- 3:25Speaker 2: receiving online abuse, let alone Indigenous Australians about the Voice.
- 3:30Speaker 3: But this scare mongering about we need.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Extra censorship to defend against that when there were two
- 3:39Speaker 2: complaints according to these FOI requests.
- 3:43Speaker 6: Maybe there'll be some sort of apology or correction. I
- 3:46Speaker 6: doubt it, but even if there is, it doesn't change
- 3:48Speaker 6: the past or anything. That's just the emo of these things.
- 3:51Speaker 6: The Holy Safety Commissioner's office and portfolio should be called
- 3:55Speaker 6: into question and somebody from the other side should take
- 3:58Speaker 6: that on as a campaign issue.
- 3:59Speaker 3: I think there'd be a lot of Absolutely.
- 4:01Speaker 2: I think the Coalition have been really weak on this issue.
- 4:04Speaker 2: They have flip flopped as a couple of people speaking out,
- 4:06Speaker 2: like Senator Alexantik, but they're they're the minority at the
- 4:10Speaker 2: moment now. I, along with thousands of other Melbournians, saw
- 4:14Speaker 2: Tucker Carlson speak earlier in the week and one point
- 4:18Speaker 2: he drove home was about energy security and energy prices
- 4:23Speaker 2: and how cheap energy is directly connected with living standards
- 4:28Speaker 2: and given how blessed Australia is with natural resources, we
- 4:31Speaker 2: should have some of the cheapest energy prices in the world,
- 4:34Speaker 2: but we've got some of the highest.
- 4:37Speaker 7: The world's largest deposits of iron ore from which steel
- 4:40Speaker 7: has been I said, well, how many steel mils?
- 4:41Speaker 8: Well none?
- 4:42Speaker 7: Why because energy is too expensive. I said, well, too bad.
- 4:46Speaker 7: You don't have any thermal call here. Oh wait, you
- 4:50Speaker 7: have the world's largest deposits of thermal call in the world.
- 4:54Speaker 7: So why do you have such high energy costs? Well,
- 4:58Speaker 7: because we sell our call to China, which uses it
- 5:01Speaker 7: to make renewables which we then buy back. Okay, Okay,
- 5:09Speaker 7: whoever thought of that hates you.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I'm just being honest. That's not an accounting error.
- 5:19Speaker 7: That was not a mistake made in good faith, that
- 5:22Speaker 7: we sell our country's resources to a far away country
- 5:26Speaker 7: to make something that doesn't work and then pay extra
- 5:29Speaker 7: for it, like they knew that wasn't going to work
- 5:33Speaker 7: when they did it, obviously, because that's insane.
- 5:36Speaker 1: It's prime efacia insane.
- 5:37Speaker 7: The fact that you have high energy costs is reason
- 5:40Speaker 7: enough to get rid of the people who run in
- 5:42Speaker 7: your country.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Now, that was a message that resonated with the audience.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Kosher and I would say it's something that would resonate
- 5:53Speaker 2: with a lot of people who don't even know who
- 5:55Speaker 2: Tucker Carlson is.
- 5:56Speaker 6: Indeed, he's a great communicator, and there he was aided
- 6:00Speaker 6: with stating the obvious. And as a foreigner coming in,
- 6:02Speaker 6: you can kind of do that. As a fellow American
- 6:05Speaker 6: who's been living here for a few years, you know,
- 6:06Speaker 6: it's the same thing. It resonates with me too. The
- 6:08Speaker 6: energy thing, in particular, that Australia has thirty percent of iron,
- 6:11Speaker 6: or thirty one percent of aluminum, or thirty three percent
- 6:15Speaker 6: of uranium, fourteen percent of coal, and still energy is
- 6:18Speaker 6: so expensive. And you know he laid bare why that is.
- 6:21Speaker 6: It really is a rebuke. I think there's the virtue
- 6:24Speaker 6: of self reliance is something that needs to be brought
- 6:26Speaker 6: back to the country more broadly, but particularly as it
- 6:29Speaker 6: relates to energy. That disconnect between being so rich in
- 6:32Speaker 6: the root raw materials and yet poor in the manufacturing
- 6:36Speaker 6: and refinement of it to the betterment of the people
- 6:39Speaker 6: is really an indictment on society, and he laid.
- 6:41Speaker 3: That bear absolutely.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Now, Republican Congressman Wesley Hunt use an anecdote from his
- 6:48Speaker 2: time working with Donald Trump on Afghanistan to illustrate how
- 6:53Speaker 2: Trump is the definition of a strongly that this is
- 6:57Speaker 2: quite a story.
- 6:58Speaker 9: When we were negotiating with the Taliban while President Trump
- 7:01Speaker 9: was to the president. President Trump wanted to get out
- 7:04Speaker 9: of Afghanistan, but he wanted a conditions based withdrawal, meaning
- 7:08Speaker 9: that you do what we tell you to do and
- 7:10Speaker 9: then we will start pulling troops back slowly as.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Long as you abide by our rules.
- 7:16Speaker 9: It's President Trump and Mike Pompeo and they are talking
- 7:18Speaker 9: to Taliban leadership in the room, and they had one
- 7:21Speaker 9: translator in the room. President Trump looked at that at
- 7:24Speaker 9: the Taliban leader and said this, I want to leave Afghanistan,
- 7:29Speaker 9: but it's going to be a conditions based withdrawal. And
- 7:32Speaker 9: translator translated. And he said, if you harm a hair
- 7:36Speaker 9: on a single American, I'm going to kill you. And
- 7:41Speaker 9: translator goes, and Trump goes what I said, reached in
- 7:48Speaker 9: his pocket, pulled out a satellite photo of the leader,
- 7:52Speaker 9: the leader of the Taliban's home, and handed it to him,
- 7:56Speaker 9: got up and walked out the room. Do you know
- 7:58Speaker 9: for eighteen months, not a single American was killed in Afghanistan.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Sure, that's a definition of strength. That's what I'm talking about.
- 8:07Speaker 2: And former US Deputy National Security Advisor Katie McFarlane, who
- 8:11Speaker 2: has served under full presidents, confirmed that story.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Posting this, she said, it's absolutely true.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Trump did tell the Taliban leader not to harm a
- 8:20Speaker 2: hair on the head of any American or he would
- 8:23Speaker 2: kill the Taliban leader. And he did say, and we
- 8:26Speaker 2: know where you live, and then showed him satellite photo
- 8:29Speaker 2: of the Taliban leader's home.
- 8:31Speaker 3: It's just diplomacy done differently.
- 8:34Speaker 2: But sometimes when you're dealing with the likes of the Taliban,
- 8:38Speaker 2: they respect and recognize strength. They can smell weakness and
- 8:43Speaker 2: appeasement absoute mile away.
- 8:46Speaker 10: You know.
- 8:46Speaker 6: That's one of the things about Trump's style, which is
- 8:48Speaker 6: the most popular thing that critics have always criticized about him.
- 8:51Speaker 6: A lot of people don't like it. That's one example
- 8:54Speaker 6: of where that style actually could work well, even if
- 8:56Speaker 6: people find him a little bit too a reserve or
- 8:59Speaker 6: too edgy, can actually be a huge advantage in these
- 9:01Speaker 6: types of environments. Everybody believes that story. You can kind
- 9:04Speaker 6: of picture being in that room. That's absolutely something Trump
- 9:07Speaker 6: would would say and would do. And I also find
- 9:10Speaker 6: interesting the timing of that piece coming out now in
- 9:13Speaker 6: the week of the Joe Biden fiasco, specifically, is it
- 9:16Speaker 6: really Afghanistan and the infamous woodrol and all of that.
- 9:19Speaker 6: Nobody could imagine him doing anything even remotely similar to that,
- 9:22Speaker 6: And then here you've got, you know, with strengthens.
- 9:24Speaker 2: And he also reported they told Pewtin if he invaded
- 9:27Speaker 2: Ukraine he would bou Moscow, and apparently Putin believed him
- 9:31Speaker 2: because he did not invade Ukraine during that period, and
- 9:34Speaker 2: talking about the timing of videos, The Daily Beast, very
- 9:38Speaker 2: much a left wing outlet, has published a leaked video
- 9:42Speaker 2: of Donald Trump saying, broken down, Biden will quit and
- 9:46Speaker 2: his new opponent is going to be Kamala Harris.
- 9:48Speaker 3: There's a bit of colorful language. Yeh, let's have a listen.
- 9:51Speaker 11: How did they do with the other name?
- 9:55Speaker 12: Broken down?
- 9:56Speaker 1: Yes, it's he just quit.
- 9:58Speaker 13: You know, he's quit.
- 9:59Speaker 14: In the rest yep, I go to and that means
- 10:02Speaker 14: we have Kamala. I think she's going to be better.
- 10:06Speaker 14: She's pathetic. It's just yourself.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I just can't imagine.
- 10:13Speaker 12: But can you imagine they go with dealing with Putin
- 10:15Speaker 12: and the president of Jana, who's a fierce person, who's
- 10:18Speaker 12: a fierce man, a very tough guy, and they see
- 10:22Speaker 12: him they probably you can't, but they just announced he's
- 10:26Speaker 12: probably quitting.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Just keeping Now.
- 10:32Speaker 2: This is interesting because Trump, uncharacteristically has been very quiet
- 10:36Speaker 2: post debate. Is just stuck to the philosophy when your
- 10:40Speaker 2: opponent's making a mistake, just let them do that and
- 10:43Speaker 2: don't interrupt them. So the timing of this, I'm sure
- 10:46Speaker 2: that Trump camp won't like and there'll be a lot
- 10:47Speaker 2: of pearl clutching about the language, but surely, really objectively,
- 10:52Speaker 2: can anybody say Biden and Harris are particularly well equipped
- 10:55Speaker 2: to deal with the likes of g or Putin. I
- 10:59Speaker 2: think the message there is not one that's going to
- 11:02Speaker 2: upset too many of his voters Trump voters, for sure.
- 11:05Speaker 6: I think it's something that he always said and people
- 11:07Speaker 6: always knew. But now after that debate, it is all
- 11:10Speaker 6: out into the open, and people who were low information
- 11:13Speaker 6: consumers and actually somehow missed the cognative decline of Biden.
- 11:16Speaker 6: There are many tens of millions of people like that
- 11:18Speaker 6: because the media wasn't covering it. They all have caught
- 11:21Speaker 6: up to what the high information consumers have known about
- 11:24Speaker 6: for a long time. So the timing that way is
- 11:26Speaker 6: sort of he's just doing that last piece of what
- 11:29Speaker 6: he did over there. I also thought it was really
- 11:31Speaker 6: interesting that it was in a golf cart, because it
- 11:32Speaker 6: reminds everybody of that golf back and forth of it,
- 11:36Speaker 6: and you know whose handicap is better. I think also
- 11:39Speaker 6: fits right into what.
- 11:40Speaker 3: He's talking about. Koshigaya, thank you so much for your time.
- 11:43Speaker 6: This ISSU.
- 11:44Speaker 2: My next guest needs no introduction, but is going to
- 11:47Speaker 2: get one. He's the author of international best sellers, including
- 11:50Speaker 2: The Strange Death of Europe, The Madness of Crowds, and
- 11:53Speaker 2: his latest book, The War on the West. Douglas Smurray,
- 11:57Speaker 2: let's start with the Biden White House lurching from crisis
- 12:01Speaker 2: to crisis, and we'll get into the heightened risk the
- 12:05Speaker 2: country faces in the coming months.
- 12:07Speaker 3: But first, we've now had three.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Official explanations for Biden's debate performance.
- 12:13Speaker 3: He had a.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Cold, he was jet lagged, and he was apparently over
- 12:18Speaker 2: prepared by staff, which one of those excuses fits best
- 12:24Speaker 2: to your.
- 12:24Speaker 15: Mind, It doesn't seem at all as though he was
- 12:27Speaker 15: over prepared. It is pretty amazing that the president put
- 12:31Speaker 15: a whole week into preparing for this debate, first of all,
- 12:36Speaker 15: because the consequences were so calamitous. But secondly, I mean,
- 12:41Speaker 15: isn't he meant to be running the country? Isn't he
- 12:44Speaker 15: meant to be the leader of the free world. I mean,
- 12:46Speaker 15: it's an awful shame that an entire week had to
- 12:49Speaker 15: be taken up just prepping for this ninety minute debate.
- 12:54Speaker 15: He was obviously not on good form, as all of
- 12:57Speaker 15: his sick fans have had to keep pointing out. The
- 13:00Speaker 15: problem is is that they have this they have this
- 13:02Speaker 15: line they've been doing for the last week, which is,
- 13:05Speaker 15: you know, he had a bad night. Well, yes, but
- 13:08Speaker 15: the evidence seems to be that he has a lot
- 13:10Speaker 15: of bad nights and a lot of bad days. And
- 13:14Speaker 15: their attempt, the the sort of Biden Courts attempt to
- 13:19Speaker 15: pass this off as unusual simply isn't credible. I don't
- 13:23Speaker 15: think it's going to wash at all.
- 13:26Speaker 2: No, And we've now got the White House declaring that
- 13:30Speaker 2: Kamala Harris is the future of the Democratic Party.
- 13:35Speaker 11: I mean, one of the reasons why he picked the
- 13:38Speaker 11: vice president president Kamala Harris is because she is indeed
- 13:42Speaker 11: the future of the party.
- 13:43Speaker 16: Uh.
- 13:44Speaker 11: And he's very proud to have partnered with her and
- 13:46Speaker 11: continue to partner with her and delivering an unprecedented record
- 13:49Speaker 11: for the American people.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Douglas.
- 13:53Speaker 2: She even referred to the vape as President Kamala Harris.
- 13:57Speaker 3: There do you say that as a light?
- 14:00Speaker 2: Could there be a move to replace Biden with Kamala
- 14:04Speaker 2: now or go to the election with her as the candidate?
- 14:09Speaker 15: And here's the thing, Biden himself and doctor Jill Biden,
- 14:14Speaker 15: his wife, are clearly digging in. There seems to be
- 14:18Speaker 15: a little doud about that. The campaign email that's just
- 14:20Speaker 15: been sent out to everyone is along lines of, you know,
- 14:24Speaker 15: I was brought up never to quit, and I'm not
- 14:26Speaker 15: a quitch to do an Americans aren't quitters, so I'm
- 14:28Speaker 15: not going to quit, you know. And when you on
- 14:30Speaker 15: the ground, you pull yourself up, you dust yourself off,
- 14:32Speaker 15: and you get out into the ring again. I mean,
- 14:36Speaker 15: this is fanciful stuff. Let me put it this way.
- 14:41Speaker 15: Really believe, does anyone really believe that three years from now,
- 14:45Speaker 15: Joe Biden is going to be in the Oval Office,
- 14:48Speaker 15: is going to be able to be there, is going
- 14:50Speaker 15: to be functioning as the US President. I really don't
- 14:53Speaker 15: think anyone does so at the moment, You're right, I mean,
- 14:56Speaker 15: the White House Press Secretary and others have sort of
- 14:59Speaker 15: start to mention Karmala Harris, but they do so, of course,
- 15:03Speaker 15: knowing that her approval ratings are even worse than Joe Biden's,
- 15:07Speaker 15: much worse than Joe Biden's. Her likability is threw down
- 15:12Speaker 15: the toilet. And you know, this is a very interesting
- 15:16Speaker 15: It's not just about these personalities. It's also about the
- 15:19Speaker 15: way in which politics is done.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Now in America. You know, it's not rude.
- 15:24Speaker 15: It is simply the fact that Kamala was a diversity
- 15:29Speaker 15: higher because Joe Biden said he wanted a black woman
- 15:33Speaker 15: as his running mate. That means that instead of being
- 15:35Speaker 15: able to choose from all of the talent in America,
- 15:37Speaker 15: he could only choose from the talent within seven percent
- 15:40Speaker 15: of the population in America. And you know, as I
- 15:44Speaker 15: always say, if you live by DEI, you'll die by DEI.
- 15:49Speaker 15: Because now they have this hugely unpopular figure, the vice president,
- 15:53Speaker 15: who has no meaningful achievements to her name in her.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Years in office.
- 15:56Speaker 15: Everything she's been tasked with, like the border has not
- 16:00Speaker 15: got better under her management, far from it. And here
- 16:04Speaker 15: you have this person who they now cannot pass over
- 16:07Speaker 15: because of their own rules that they have invented and
- 16:10Speaker 15: decided to play by. So I mean, you know, it's
- 16:15Speaker 15: not my concern. Is it worth to advise the Democrat Party?
- 16:19Speaker 15: But I would just say, you know, it's clear that
- 16:22Speaker 15: Joe's not going.
- 16:22Speaker 1: To make it.
- 16:23Speaker 15: It's clear that Kamala would would lose to anyone, anyone.
- 16:30Speaker 1: What are they going to.
- 16:30Speaker 15: Do If they're going to do a switch out, They're
- 16:33Speaker 15: going to have to do it soon because there's going
- 16:35Speaker 15: to be somebody, whether it's Kamala, Gavin Newson, whoever, they
- 16:38Speaker 15: are going to have to introduce this person to the
- 16:41Speaker 15: public very very fast, and they don't have a day
- 16:45Speaker 15: to lose.
- 16:46Speaker 3: In my view, Well maymrm.
- 16:50Speaker 2: We've got much of the media who feigned shock at
- 16:53Speaker 2: Biden's diminished faculties. They're falling back into line. Watch this exchange,
- 17:00Speaker 2: and we would.
- 17:01Speaker 11: Invite the president to come here and tell noted directly noted,
- 17:04Speaker 11: Kelly pleans work. That's an appropion, as you heard on
- 17:09Speaker 11: your colleague, the president of the WHA, that's inappropriate.
- 17:13Speaker 3: Thank you, Kelly.
- 17:15Speaker 2: That was NBC's senior White House correspondent, Kelly o'donald, just
- 17:21Speaker 2: telling off someone for suggesting Biden could be napping. And
- 17:25Speaker 2: the she's also the president of the White House Correspondence Association.
- 17:29Speaker 2: And let's look at this unwitting admission from an activist
- 17:33Speaker 2: journalist at CNN, had Our Gold, who writes about how
- 17:37Speaker 2: Biden's mental fitness could have been better covered.
- 17:40Speaker 3: But then there's this tell She writes.
- 17:43Speaker 2: It can be tricky to report on something as difficult
- 17:46Speaker 2: to define as a person aging when his opponent isn't
- 17:50Speaker 2: a convicted felon who regularly lies and has threatened to
- 17:53Speaker 2: use the government to go after his political opponents.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Douglas, how much culpability.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Does the media have for hiding prison and Biden's I
- 18:06Speaker 2: would say fairly obvious cognitive decline.
- 18:10Speaker 1: It's extraordinary REATA.
- 18:11Speaker 15: I watched the debate last Thursday night, and I watched
- 18:15Speaker 15: the aftermath of the debate, the roundup and analysis on
- 18:19Speaker 15: basically on CNN and MSNBC. What struck me about CNN
- 18:23Speaker 15: in particular was absolutely everybody in the studio was talking suddenly,
- 18:29Speaker 15: as well anyone at Fox has for the last few years,
- 18:34Speaker 15: anyone at the New York Post, as for the last
- 18:37Speaker 15: few years for which they've all been castigated. It was
- 18:42Speaker 15: so strange seeing the CNM pundits suddenly switch, as if
- 18:47Speaker 15: they'd learned something in the previous nineteen minutes that had
- 18:51Speaker 15: previously been a mystery to them, completely hidden secret, a
- 18:56Speaker 15: hidden fact.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Can they How can they they hold.
- 19:00Speaker 15: Their heads up and still behave like this? These were
- 19:04Speaker 15: all people who knew and see everything you and I
- 19:08Speaker 15: could know and see, but they decided not to observe it.
- 19:12Speaker 15: And in actual factor, kick over the traces and to
- 19:15Speaker 15: attack anyone who did observe it. And here we are.
- 19:20Speaker 15: Here they are with the candidate that they want to
- 19:24Speaker 15: use to get Donald Trump away from the White House,
- 19:28Speaker 15: and they're only now realizing that their candidate has flaws.
- 19:33Speaker 15: I mean, it starts to make you wonder how serious
- 19:36Speaker 15: they actually are. And you know, when they do all
- 19:38Speaker 15: this kind of Donald Trump is an existential threat to
- 19:41Speaker 15: democracy sort of thing, you think, well, if you really
- 19:44Speaker 15: thought that, would you really be running Joe Biden against
- 19:49Speaker 15: that man? Wouldn't you have done everything you could to
- 19:51Speaker 15: get the most talented team of upcoming, likable, capable young
- 19:57Speaker 15: Democrats or middle aged Democrats, it doesn't matter.
- 20:02Speaker 1: But they didn't.
- 20:03Speaker 15: And by the way, this line about you know, Donald
- 20:05Speaker 15: Trump using the law against his political opponents, that kind
- 20:09Speaker 15: of stuff would say a lot better with a lot
- 20:12Speaker 15: of American voters if they weren't being the former president
- 20:17Speaker 15: Donald Trump being repeatedly put on trial for things that
- 20:21Speaker 15: are clearly politically motivated.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Absolutely, that is the golden rule of projection.
- 20:30Speaker 2: So much of what they claim their opponents are doing,
- 20:34Speaker 2: they're doing as we speak. And again, if seeing inn
- 20:38Speaker 2: MSNBC New York Times if they're a bit more honest
- 20:41Speaker 2: with their audience, they would be aware of that. You
- 20:44Speaker 2: mentioned the Democrats don't have a lot much time to lose.
- 20:47Speaker 2: If they're going to replace Biden, they'd better do it quickly.
- 20:50Speaker 2: And one name that's always near the top of the
- 20:54Speaker 2: list is Gavin Newsom as a repossible replacement. You wrote
- 20:58Speaker 2: about him this wag in the New York Post. And
- 21:02Speaker 2: he's the governor of California. California at doing too well.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Can he fail his way up to the presidency?
- 21:12Speaker 1: I fear he could.
- 21:15Speaker 15: Gavin knew some absolutely wrecked San Francisco, which should be
- 21:18Speaker 15: one of the world's great cities, and it's it's a
- 21:21Speaker 15: garbage dump days. He proceeded to roll out similar policies
- 21:27Speaker 15: across California as governor and has made most much of
- 21:30Speaker 15: California into a dump as well. He talks all the
- 21:34Speaker 15: time about the latest stuff about equity and equality and
- 21:37Speaker 15: all that sort of thing, and he presides over one
- 21:39Speaker 15: of the most extraordinarily unequal states. He's just sent his
- 21:42Speaker 15: own a daughter to a six thousand dollars a year
- 21:46Speaker 15: private school, and maybe it's because among her own peer
- 21:49Speaker 15: group in the state schools in California. You have kids
- 21:54Speaker 15: with like thirty percent literacy and thirty four percent numerously.
- 22:00Speaker 15: That's a shameful record. He has no record to run on,
- 22:04Speaker 15: but he does have, sadly the sort of what look.
- 22:09Speaker 15: A lot of people fall for this. People say he
- 22:11Speaker 15: looks presidential, he looks the part. He has good hair.
- 22:17Speaker 15: I mean, you know, as we discussed last week, Justin
- 22:21Speaker 15: Trudeau has good hair, doesn't mean he could run Canada.
- 22:25Speaker 1: It's the same with Newsome.
- 22:26Speaker 15: I do fear that he could. He could fool a
- 22:29Speaker 15: certain amount of people. I think he's a terrible He
- 22:33Speaker 15: would be a terrible choice because any Republican running against
- 22:36Speaker 15: ged and just has the point to California and Rohonda Santis,
- 22:42Speaker 15: when he debated Newsom earlier in the year, pointed out
- 22:45Speaker 15: all of the things that can be pointed out against
- 22:48Speaker 15: Newsom's record. But we'll see, he's definitely one of the
- 22:51Speaker 15: candidate's that the that the Dems are playing foot see
- 22:53Speaker 15: with at the moment in their desperate attempt to ease
- 22:56Speaker 15: out Biden.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Well, California is such a strange, strange place because it's
- 23:06Speaker 2: so blessed, It's got everything going for it, and like
- 23:10Speaker 2: you said, it is a mess.
- 23:13Speaker 3: There's so much crime, the gap.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Between rich and poor, the failures in education.
- 23:21Speaker 3: We could talk about it all day now.
- 23:23Speaker 2: What I worry about most with what we saw from
- 23:26Speaker 2: the President is the weakness that the Biden administration exudes
- 23:31Speaker 2: and what that means for America, what that means for
- 23:34Speaker 2: the world, particularly when you look at the West's enemies.
- 23:39Speaker 3: We are in a period.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Of heightened vulnerability with the likes of Iran, Russia, China,
- 23:45Speaker 2: knowing there's a few more months of this chaos in
- 23:47Speaker 2: the White House.
- 23:50Speaker 3: How do you see that?
- 23:51Speaker 2: Because we do have conflict around the world, and you
- 23:54Speaker 2: made the point recently that if America was more respected,
- 23:59Speaker 2: if the Biden White House was feared, we possibly wouldn't
- 24:03Speaker 2: have American hostages still in Gaza, or have a All
- 24:07Speaker 2: Street journalists, a Wall Street journal journalist in a prison
- 24:13Speaker 2: in Russia.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Oh, that's absolutely right, Reta.
- 24:16Speaker 15: I'm amazed that there isn't more outrage really in America
- 24:23Speaker 15: that an American reporter can be snatched in Moscow and
- 24:27Speaker 15: held hostage, but still more than one hundred Israelis are
- 24:32Speaker 15: hostage in Gaza. I'm including five or six Americans.
- 24:38Speaker 1: I can't understand.
- 24:39Speaker 15: I mean that the Taie government got their hostages out
- 24:42Speaker 15: from Gaza through some weird deal. Seemed that Hamas feared
- 24:46Speaker 15: the Taig government or their connections more than they fear
- 24:50Speaker 15: the US of A. I think this is by the way,
- 24:53Speaker 15: I think this is a very very important thing for
- 24:56Speaker 15: Donald Trump to run up, which is that there's a
- 25:00Speaker 15: situation that has emerged, much like seventy nine to eighty
- 25:03Speaker 15: with the Carter.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Of Reagan election flit flip.
- 25:08Speaker 15: Because if you remember the Iranian hostage situation of American
- 25:12Speaker 15: hostages in Iran was a drum beat in the election process,
- 25:16Speaker 15: and Reagan really soared in those days as he made
- 25:21Speaker 15: it clear that if he got into office, the hostages
- 25:25Speaker 15: would be released. Lo and behold, Carter was chucked out,
- 25:29Speaker 15: Reagan came in, and the hostages were released.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I'd like to see.
- 25:33Speaker 15: Donald Trump do something similar. You know, he can easily
- 25:37Speaker 15: stand on that stage and say to kata I ran Hamaz,
- 25:42Speaker 15: I know you're listening. I know you're listening. You better
- 25:45Speaker 15: keep the hostages. You either make sure you return them,
- 25:49Speaker 15: return them the day I get into office. You better
- 25:52Speaker 15: have them in perfect condition or else. And I would
- 25:57Speaker 15: like to see that from President Trump. I'd like to
- 26:00Speaker 15: see that from any potential leader of the free world.
- 26:03Speaker 15: And I think it's shocking that Biden and his administration
- 26:06Speaker 15: has spent so little energy on this. And clearly one
- 26:10Speaker 15: of the reasons is the President himself has no energy.
- 26:13Speaker 15: He does take naps in the middle of the day.
- 26:15Speaker 15: He is only functioning, it seems, for about five or
- 26:18Speaker 15: six hours a day, by the admission of his own officials.
- 26:22Speaker 15: That's one reason why America is failing on the global stage.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Now, we've seen that plenty of celebrities discrice themselves with
- 26:33Speaker 2: their lunatic views in recent mansa from Robert de Niro
- 26:37Speaker 2: to Susan Sarandon and you can add Roger Waters to
- 26:41Speaker 2: the list. The former Pink Floyd frontman has always been
- 26:46Speaker 2: vehemently anti Israel, but his demented views have appeared to
- 26:51Speaker 2: have got even more French dwelling.
- 26:54Speaker 3: Have a look at this all.
- 26:56Speaker 16: The filthy, disgusting lies that the Israeli told after October
- 27:01Speaker 16: the self about burning babies and women being rape, which
- 27:05Speaker 16: we're all complete women were rape. Well, there's no evidence
- 27:10Speaker 16: to say anything that you want, but there's no evidence.
- 27:14Speaker 1: There is extensive.
- 27:15Speaker 16: There's no well there is. Okay, well, all right now,
- 27:19Speaker 16: also we know what cast social mediam down, Roger, calm down,
- 27:25Speaker 16: don't sink to this level. All right, I won't level,
- 27:28Speaker 16: but stop shouting, stop shouting back interrupts.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Okay, I don't even know what's I think he's got
- 27:38Speaker 2: some sort of an imaginary friend also called Roger that
- 27:40Speaker 2: he's speaking to off camera there but this rape denial,
- 27:44Speaker 2: and I said, it's a fringe dwelling view. But sadly
- 27:46Speaker 2: it's not as fringe dwelling as it should be because
- 27:49Speaker 2: you hear this over and over again from the pro
- 27:52Speaker 2: Palestinian crowd and it is just so disgusting, so beyond shameful,
- 27:58Speaker 2: because there is a great deal of evidence showing how
- 28:02Speaker 2: women were raped and sexually brutalized on October seven and
- 28:08Speaker 2: beyond by her mass, and that there's just this wholestyle
- 28:12Speaker 2: denial of a Douglas.
- 28:15Speaker 15: There is, and I think there's a very interesting reason
- 28:19Speaker 15: for it. Roger Waters, by the way, I mean, I
- 28:21Speaker 15: don't know. I actually can't name a Pink Floyd song.
- 28:25Speaker 15: Maybe that's my bad, but I care not a job
- 28:28Speaker 15: for this man Waters his views on anything. I mean,
- 28:31Speaker 15: I don't know, it's her guitarist. If so, he's just
- 28:33Speaker 15: sick to playing the guitar. He's obviously a very sick individual,
- 28:38Speaker 15: very sick in a number of different ways, a variety
- 28:41Speaker 15: of ways. There's a whole conference in that thing we
- 28:44Speaker 15: just watched there. But you know, I think there is
- 28:47Speaker 15: a very clear reason why some of these people do
- 28:50Speaker 15: want to deny the rapes, to deny the murder of
- 28:52Speaker 15: children on seven, and it's because if they've faced up
- 28:56Speaker 15: to it, they would have to ask a question of
- 29:00Speaker 15: their own side and of themselves which they don't want
- 29:03Speaker 15: to ask, which is, am I sure we're.
- 29:06Speaker 1: The good guys? You know?
- 29:09Speaker 15: Am I sure that my side my friends in hamas
- 29:13Speaker 15: in the case of people like Roger Waters, Am I
- 29:16Speaker 15: sure that I'm on the right side supporting Hamaz, supporting
- 29:21Speaker 15: the most militant Palestinian extremists when they seem to be
- 29:26Speaker 15: incapable of not raping, not murdering, not killing children, not
- 29:31Speaker 15: kidnapping children. Am I sure my side's right? And any
- 29:37Speaker 15: There are only about two paths you can take from that.
- 29:40Speaker 15: One is maybe I should rethink my support for this
- 29:45Speaker 15: terrorist entity and put my support elsewhere, or you'd have
- 29:50Speaker 15: to say, okay, I'm fine with that by any means necessary,
- 29:57Speaker 15: and some of them think that some of them do.
- 30:00Speaker 1: But I would have a much more admiration for.
- 30:03Speaker 15: These people if, instead of always trying to deny and
- 30:06Speaker 15: deny and deny, they actually faced up to the things
- 30:10Speaker 15: that their friends do and did and would do again.
- 30:14Speaker 15: But this water is.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Man as well as a maniac. He's not a man.
- 30:18Speaker 15: He can't even face up to the consequences of his
- 30:21Speaker 15: own support and thought such.
- 30:24Speaker 1: As it is.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Now before you go, I have to ask you about
- 30:30Speaker 2: Prince Harry. He's receiving yet another honor. The Duke of
- 30:34Speaker 2: Sussex is set to receive the Pat Tilman Award for
- 30:38Speaker 2: service at the twenty twenty four Espie's. Pat Tilman was
- 30:43Speaker 2: an American hero, late NFL star and US Army ranger
- 30:48Speaker 2: who died during combat in two.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Thousand and four. Pat Tillman's mother, Mary, is among.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Those who are shocked by this award being given to Harry.
- 30:57Speaker 3: She has said that there are far more.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Deserving candidates who do not have Harry's money and resources,
- 31:04Speaker 2: who are working quietly. She also said I'm shocked as
- 31:08Speaker 2: to why they would select such a controversial and divisive
- 31:10Speaker 2: individual to receive the award. There are recipients that are
- 31:14Speaker 2: far more fitting. There are individuals working in the veteran
- 31:17Speaker 2: community that are doing tremendous things to assist veterans.
- 31:21Speaker 3: But this is not new.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Douglas, Harry and Meghan keep winning awards. It seems to
- 31:28Speaker 2: be their full time occupation these days.
- 31:31Speaker 15: I think we shouldn't say that they win awards. They
- 31:34Speaker 15: don't win them. They get gift in them by the
- 31:37Speaker 15: sorts of people.
- 31:38Speaker 1: They hang out with.
- 31:40Speaker 15: I mean, there's a whole industry of this kind of rubbish,
- 31:46Speaker 15: you know. I mean, you know what happens with a
- 31:50Speaker 15: lot of this is Megan or Harry's pr people's put
- 31:54Speaker 15: in calls to ask about various awards that can be given,
- 31:58Speaker 15: and then they bring their celebrity to the awards process
- 32:02Speaker 15: and everyone benefits.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I mean, it's so cynical. The Tilman one, this is
- 32:06Speaker 1: this is sad.
- 32:07Speaker 15: Because he was a real American hero, enlisted, left the
- 32:11Speaker 15: NFL in the army after nine to eleven and gave
- 32:14Speaker 15: his life in the defense of his country. It's a
- 32:18Speaker 15: sort of reminder, of course, of what is the sad
- 32:21Speaker 15: turn in Prince Harry's life, which I think you know
- 32:25Speaker 15: is the only thing about him which is really interesting,
- 32:27Speaker 15: which is that he had the opportunity to have a
- 32:31Speaker 15: meaningful life in which he gave his life to the
- 32:36Speaker 15: country and to causes like that of veterans, like that
- 32:41Speaker 15: of young men who lose their way like he did
- 32:43Speaker 15: in his twenties and can turn their life around. There
- 32:46Speaker 15: was an awful lot he could have been a really
- 32:48Speaker 15: meaningful figurehead for and like his grandfather, the late Duke
- 32:52Speaker 15: of Edinburgh, who set up the Duke of Edinburgh Awards,
- 32:54Speaker 15: there could have been the you know, the Prince Harry
- 32:56Speaker 15: Awards of you know that he could have done so
- 32:58Speaker 15: much with his life and the position he had because
- 33:01Speaker 15: of the benefit of the birth he had, and instead
- 33:06Speaker 15: he took this other way. He took the Montecito Highway way.
- 33:10Speaker 15: And here he is not doing but receiving awards as
- 33:16Speaker 15: if he's doing. And I think there's a I mean,
- 33:19Speaker 15: it's a sort of it's a part of the inferno
- 33:23Speaker 15: that one would not want to live in.
- 33:27Speaker 2: No, and before you go, Douglas, you've become such a
- 33:31Speaker 2: big deal these days. You've now got your own impersonators,
- 33:35Speaker 2: and frankly they're good ones. I've got to say, here
- 33:38Speaker 2: is comic Army Kozak thanking you as.
- 33:43Speaker 17: You Douglas Murray, such a phenomenal job in the Monk
- 33:49Speaker 17: today taking on this officety and deception, utter lies as
- 33:53Speaker 17: Neddi Hassan and those like him of.
- 33:56Speaker 1: His ilk spouting and spewing lies.
- 33:59Speaker 3: About he nailed it. I'm gonna say arm is very good.
- 34:05Speaker 2: That is we've had him on this program, not as
- 34:08Speaker 2: you as himself, but he's very good. And this is
- 34:11Speaker 2: this is the height of your fame. Now he's normally
- 34:14Speaker 2: impersonating Donald Trump and other world figures and Douglas Murray.
- 34:21Speaker 15: Now it's it's, it's it's horrible in a way. He's
- 34:25Speaker 15: he's a talented impersonator. It's horrible for your sense of
- 34:30Speaker 15: self to see somebody taking you off.
- 34:33Speaker 1: But he's very good at it. He actually is very amusing.
- 34:35Speaker 15: A few nights ago in New York, I was in
- 34:38Speaker 15: a steakhouse with some friends and he came over to
- 34:41Speaker 15: me and introduced himself, and yeah, I said to my
- 34:46Speaker 15: friends when I rejoined him, he's very good. But to
- 34:49Speaker 15: talk about self consciousness and self awareness, when you have
- 34:53Speaker 15: somebody impersonating you in front of yourself, you know, he's
- 34:57Speaker 15: very good.
- 34:58Speaker 1: He's very good. But he's very good.
- 35:01Speaker 2: And if you're going to have someone, if you're going
- 35:05Speaker 2: to have someone impersonating you, it's good if they're a fan,
- 35:08Speaker 2: and he's certainly a fan of yours.
- 35:10Speaker 3: Douglas Murray, thank you so much for your time this evening.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Thank you, still to come.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Left is losing it and Bet MacArthur on the Victorian
- 35:19Speaker 2: government's war on women and why.
- 35:21Speaker 3: The CFA is taking industrial action.
- 35:33Speaker 2: Welcome back now it's time for Left is losing it
- 35:36Speaker 2: and it's happening again.
- 35:37Speaker 3: The lunatic left are making.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Threats, and this time calling on Joe Biden to eliminate
- 35:43Speaker 2: Donald Trump. Listen to Orange is the new Black actor
- 35:47Speaker 2: Leah Delarious deranged rant.
- 35:50Speaker 3: Joe, you're a reasonable man.
- 35:55Speaker 5: You don't want to do this, but here's the reality.
- 35:58Speaker 3: This is a war.
- 36:00Speaker 5: This is a war now, and we are fighting for
- 36:02Speaker 5: our country and these are going to take it away.
- 36:07Speaker 5: They're going to take it away. You clearance, Uncle Thomas. Joe,
- 36:14Speaker 5: you now have the right to take that Trump out.
- 36:19Speaker 5: Take him out, Joe. If you was Hitler and this
- 36:23Speaker 5: was nineteen forty, you'd.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Take him out.
- 36:26Speaker 5: Well, he is hitler and this is nineteen forty. Take
- 36:30Speaker 5: him out, blow him up, blow him up, or they'll
- 36:38Speaker 5: blow us up.
- 36:42Speaker 2: Facts facts, facts out that you are demented. You need help,
- 36:47Speaker 2: and you need a visit from the authorities as well.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Where's the FBI?
- 36:52Speaker 2: You got grandmother's posting funny memes getting harassed with this
- 36:55Speaker 2: miscreant is making threats online, post it to more than
- 36:59Speaker 2: a million followers, no questioning there. Now here's another demented
- 37:04Speaker 2: soul on TikTok asking Biden to unalive Donald Trump and
- 37:09Speaker 2: ban the Supreme Court.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Just remember these people vote and breed.
- 37:14Speaker 13: I mean in his official capacity as president. Maybe you
- 37:18Speaker 13: could just just ban the Supreme Court or unlive Donald Trump.
- 37:24Speaker 13: I mean, he'd have complete immunity. He's president, right, That
- 37:27Speaker 13: would certainly solve a lot of our problems.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Now to a topic we discussed earlier in the way
- 37:32Speaker 2: taxpay funded ads telling women that they should not trust
- 37:35Speaker 2: their instincts, they should welcome male bodies in women's sport,
- 37:38Speaker 2: and they should be polite instead of concerned about safety.
- 37:42Speaker 2: This is taxpay funded misogyny courtesy of the Victorian labor government.
- 38:08Speaker 2: And let's end with a word form Pastor Geno Jennings
- 38:12Speaker 2: from the Great State of Philadelphia, who is sick of
- 38:14Speaker 2: left his losing it, including the one in the Oval office.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Congressmen in Congress trying to find what a woman is?
- 38:22Speaker 1: What is a woman? It is your mama, It's sure genetic.
- 38:25Speaker 15: What's a woman?
- 38:26Speaker 3: Your mama?
- 38:27Speaker 1: President Bay joining them on a conversation. We didn't know
- 38:31Speaker 1: what a woman.
- 38:34Speaker 5: Is.
- 38:34Speaker 1: A woman?
- 38:35Speaker 2: Is your mother?
- 38:36Speaker 1: Man's past eighty?
- 38:37Speaker 16: Isn't it?
- 38:38Speaker 15: You mean her?
- 38:39Speaker 1: Tell me you passed eighty?
- 38:40Speaker 17: You don't know your your mama and your wife is
- 38:43Speaker 17: a woman.
- 38:45Speaker 10: Now.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Despite recently appointing a Parliamentary Secretary for Men's Behavior Change
- 38:49Speaker 2: to better protect women, Victoria's Jason D. Allen government has
- 38:53Speaker 2: been making moves that have angered a number of women's
- 38:56Speaker 2: rights groups. First, they passed a law giving ministers permission
- 38:59Speaker 2: to kick out democratically elected counselors at a time when
- 39:03Speaker 2: conservative female counselors are under attack, and then they released
- 39:07Speaker 2: an advert discouraging women from trusting their own instincts when
- 39:11Speaker 2: it comes to their safety to protect the feelings of
- 39:15Speaker 2: biological men. Instead of changing men's behavior, it seems a
- 39:18Speaker 2: Victorian government is more interested in gas lighting women. Joining
- 39:24Speaker 2: me now, is Victorian Liberal MP BEV MacArthur BEV. We
- 39:28Speaker 2: have a budget crisis in this state and the government
- 39:32Speaker 2: is spending money running ads telling women to be more
- 39:36Speaker 2: polite and accept male bodies in female only spaces, including
- 39:41Speaker 2: women's sports.
- 39:43Speaker 10: Well, reader, this government's got a major problem because neither
- 39:47Speaker 10: the Minister for Women and I wonder whether the Parliamentary
- 39:50Speaker 10: Secretary for Men's Behavior or any other member of this
- 39:54Speaker 10: labor government can define what a woman is because when
- 39:57Speaker 10: I ask that question, I'm ruled out of border and
- 40:02Speaker 10: I'm shut down. So until they are able to tell
- 40:05Speaker 10: us how they define a woman, then clearly we're going
- 40:09Speaker 10: to have more of these problems. It is outrageous that
- 40:13Speaker 10: we should be spending money on an ad telling women
- 40:16Speaker 10: how to behave when we've appointed a male secretary to
- 40:21Speaker 10: supposedly control men's behavior. Now, actually we need to be
- 40:25Speaker 10: able to have the government controlling their behavior as they
- 40:29Speaker 10: deal with women.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Now, at least twenty four CFA firefighter brigades are taking
- 40:38Speaker 2: strike action across Victoria, refusing to fight fires on land
- 40:42Speaker 2: hosting high voltage transmission lines as well as solo or
- 40:46Speaker 2: wind farms. They accuse the Victorian government of building renewable
- 40:51Speaker 2: projects on incredibly fire prone land without consulting local communities first,
- 40:57Speaker 2: tell me about their concerns.
- 40:59Speaker 10: Here well, Rita, this fight over transmission lines in particular
- 41:06Speaker 10: has been going on ever since I've been in Parliament
- 41:08Speaker 10: now that's about five years, and the community are fed
- 41:13Speaker 10: up with the absolute lack of consultation, the running of
- 41:18Speaker 10: rough shot over the whole lot of them, and now
- 41:22Speaker 10: fire fars. They're all volunteers, mostly people who've probably got
- 41:26Speaker 10: transmission lines and projects potentially on their land or very nearby,
- 41:31Speaker 10: have said enough's enough. And you know, they've just given
- 41:35Speaker 10: warning to the government that unless they start listening and
- 41:39Speaker 10: cooperating with the communities where all these projects are going ahead,
- 41:43Speaker 10: especially the transmission hutlines. Remember these towers are the height
- 41:48Speaker 10: of the MCG lights and there is an easement underneath
- 41:52Speaker 10: them under which they can't fight fires. There's a very
- 41:55Speaker 10: critical issue and the government's got to address it. I've
- 41:58Speaker 10: asked the government to consider what the demands are of
- 42:04Speaker 10: these firefighters.
- 42:08Speaker 2: I can't believe the lack of consultation because there are
- 42:11Speaker 2: so many regional communities are upset about these projects, not
- 42:15Speaker 2: just because of the fire risk. A bunch of other
- 42:17Speaker 2: issues as well, and it seems like there's a real
- 42:20Speaker 2: divide in the community those of us who live in
- 42:23Speaker 2: the big cities. If you don't travel to the country,
- 42:26Speaker 2: you don't see what's happening there and how that beautiful
- 42:29Speaker 2: countryside is being scarred. I mean, there's fire concerns, there's
- 42:34Speaker 2: all sorts of other concerns, but just the damage to
- 42:37Speaker 2: the natural environment, the esthetics of that beautiful countryside being ruined,
- 42:43Speaker 2: I think that's something that deserves further debate as well.
- 42:45Speaker 3: There well it does.
- 42:47Speaker 10: I mean, it's all very well for people in the
- 42:50Speaker 10: city of Yarra or the city of Port Phillip to
- 42:52Speaker 10: decide they want green energy, but actually out in the country,
- 42:56Speaker 10: we want green transmission. And really the only way you're
- 43:00Speaker 10: going to get it if it is if it goes undergrounded.
- 43:03Speaker 10: Many of the farmers that I speak to say, look,
- 43:05Speaker 10: we'll happily dig the trench so you can put your
- 43:09Speaker 10: wire underground. And it's certainly feasible because it's done in
- 43:12Speaker 10: other countries. Don't tell me they can't do it. They
- 43:15Speaker 10: don't want to. Their business plan is to give new
- 43:18Speaker 10: projects to people like Osnet to build huge infrastructure criss
- 43:23Speaker 10: crossing the countryside like a spiderweb.
- 43:29Speaker 2: Bev MacArthur, thank you so much for your time this evening.
- 43:32Speaker 10: Thanks Fresia.
- 43:33Speaker 3: Still to come.
- 43:34Speaker 2: Meghan Markul is just wrap filming on her latest project,
- 43:38Speaker 2: Kinsey's Scofield with the latest royal and celebrity news.
- 43:50Speaker 3: You're watching the readA Panny Show.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Joining me now as entertainment and royal reporter Kinsey's Schofield.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Meghan Markel has just wrapped up filming on a new
- 44:00Speaker 2: cooking and home.
- 44:01Speaker 3: Show for Netflix.
- 44:02Speaker 2: The show, which is yet to receive a formal title
- 44:05Speaker 2: air date, is part of the Sussex Is one hundred
- 44:08Speaker 2: million dollar Netflix deal and was filmed at a property
- 44:12Speaker 2: near their Montecito mansion in Los Angeles. It's apparently going
- 44:17Speaker 2: to Kinsey focus on the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining
- 44:22Speaker 2: and friendship. I've got to say it sounds bloody awful.
- 44:26Speaker 2: Will you be hate watching this?
- 44:28Speaker 3: So I don't have to?
- 44:30Speaker 18: I mean, I was looking forward to our recap, but
- 44:33Speaker 18: if I have to be the one that takes the hit,
- 44:35Speaker 18: I'll do it.
- 44:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:36Speaker 18: You're exactly right, and this is crucial that this is
- 44:40Speaker 18: a success, Reader, because as you know, Harry and Meghan's
- 44:43Speaker 18: only commercial hit so far has been their Harry and
- 44:47Speaker 18: Meghan docu series, which basically was just, you know, hours
- 44:51Speaker 18: and hours of them ripping into the British royal family.
- 44:55Speaker 18: They've released Lived to Lead, which was an absolute flop.
- 44:59Speaker 8: Next up Invictus. No one tuned in, and so it's
- 45:03Speaker 8: very very.
- 45:03Speaker 18: Important that Meghan's show or Harry's polo program sees some
- 45:09Speaker 18: of similar numbers. So the Harry and Meghan docu series
- 45:12Speaker 18: are they risk losing that Netflix gig.
- 45:17Speaker 2: I can't see the Polo program working at And the
- 45:20Speaker 2: one thing that has worked was awful.
- 45:22Speaker 3: It was a reality series.
- 45:23Speaker 2: It wasn't a documentary, but it was a boring reality series.
- 45:27Speaker 2: It was like a poor man's keeping up with the Kardashians.
- 45:32Speaker 3: I had to watch that.
- 45:33Speaker 2: I had to take one for the team, and I
- 45:35Speaker 2: don't want to do it ever again.
- 45:37Speaker 3: Now.
- 45:37Speaker 2: Comedian Ellen DeGeneres has canceled several of her upcoming comedy
- 45:42Speaker 2: shows shortly after kickstarting her multi city stand up tour.
- 45:47Speaker 3: Do we know why, Kinsey?
- 45:50Speaker 8: We don't know why, but I will tell you that
- 45:52Speaker 8: at one of the shows, she was caught on camera,
- 45:56Speaker 8: you know, professing that she was not this mean girl
- 45:59Speaker 8: that she's been made out to be, you know, really
- 46:01Speaker 8: kind of fighting recent allegations of bullying.
- 46:05Speaker 18: And I wonder personally if people aren't buying tickets and
- 46:10Speaker 18: that's why they had to.
- 46:12Speaker 8: Cancel these shows.
- 46:13Speaker 18: I don't know if people, First of all, if you're
- 46:15Speaker 18: accused of something like that, just say I'm sorry, you know,
- 46:18Speaker 18: don't stand in front.
- 46:19Speaker 8: Of an audience and argue with them about it.
- 46:21Speaker 18: But second of all, you know, I don't know if
- 46:23Speaker 18: people are ready to forgive her for those allegations yet.
- 46:26Speaker 18: And you and I don't like cancel culture, but you know,
- 46:28Speaker 18: if you're being a jerk to the lowest on the
- 46:30Speaker 18: totem pole in your company, and you're you know, and
- 46:33Speaker 18: you're you're this Hollywood big shot that has projected that
- 46:36Speaker 18: you're the nicest person on.
- 46:38Speaker 8: The planet, yeah I have an issue with that.
- 46:43Speaker 2: Well, yeah, it was because her old mantra was kindness
- 46:47Speaker 2: and joy and lie and if she had that image
- 46:50Speaker 2: that was pushed for so long, so it was such
- 46:53Speaker 2: a contrast with what we were sold. And I think, really,
- 46:57Speaker 2: I mean, there's so many great stand up comedians. I
- 47:00Speaker 2: don't even see her as a stand up comic, So
- 47:03Speaker 2: who that audience is is going to be interesting.
- 47:06Speaker 3: Now, Entertainment Reporter, one of.
- 47:09Speaker 2: Your colleagues, Perez Hilton, is asking whether Taylor Swift's man,
- 47:15Speaker 2: Travis Kelsey is doing okay in this relationship after he
- 47:19Speaker 2: went to party with some questionable male pals in a
- 47:24Speaker 2: Hollywood while.
- 47:26Speaker 3: Taylor was in Ireland. Let's have a look.
- 47:29Speaker 5: Travis was partying with Leonardo DiCaprio.
- 47:35Speaker 3: Leonardo DiCaprio, and.
- 47:38Speaker 2: Not just that, Travis was also hanging out with Tristan Thompson. Kinsey,
- 47:46Speaker 2: tell me why many people see that as not one
- 47:49Speaker 2: red flag but two red flags.
- 47:52Speaker 18: Well, Tristan Thompson is Chloe Kardashian's ex who cheated on
- 47:57Speaker 18: her very famously, and then Leonard DiCaprio is America over again.
- 48:03Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah yeah.
- 48:04Speaker 18: And Leonardo DiCaprio the second you turned twenty five, he
- 48:08Speaker 18: seems to lose your number and go off with somebody
- 48:10Speaker 18: find another twenty four year old. So I do think
- 48:13Speaker 18: that that's questionable company. I'm just glad it wasn't John Mayer. So,
- 48:17Speaker 18: but Friday, we know that Travis needed to be in
- 48:21Speaker 18: Calabasis for a wedding a coworker's wedding. He did surprise
- 48:25Speaker 18: Taylor in Dublin on Sunday, and you know, there's a
- 48:30Speaker 18: very cute video of Taylor being you know, seeing him
- 48:32Speaker 18: in the audience and her eyes lighting up, in her
- 48:34Speaker 18: mouth falling, you know, you know, her jaw dropping. So
- 48:38Speaker 18: I think that they're okay, but I understand why Perez
- 48:41Speaker 18: is concerned. I you know, Leonardo is highly questionable.
- 48:46Speaker 2: Before you go, Jennifer Lopez, we talked about her the
- 48:50Speaker 2: recent to trip to Europe without her husband Ben Affleck
- 48:54Speaker 2: flying coach, and I'm sure that was a stunt to
- 48:57Speaker 2: change this image that people are talking about that she's
- 49:01Speaker 2: a diva. And now teams that are reporting that athletics
- 49:04Speaker 2: spend time his wife was away moving the last of
- 49:09Speaker 2: his belongings out of their sixty million dollar marital home
- 49:13Speaker 2: which is on the market, and Page six is reporting
- 49:17Speaker 2: they're also selling off an art collection. Are they short
- 49:20Speaker 2: on cash? What is behind this sale of assets? Rita?
- 49:24Speaker 18: I think you and I right now are on divorce watch, truly.
- 49:27Speaker 18: I think we are just patiently waiting for them to
- 49:29Speaker 18: announce that they're separated. Jennifer Lopez posted a promotion for
- 49:34Speaker 18: her skincare line this week on Instagram. No wedding ring,
- 49:38Speaker 18: and I just feel like I watched I watched a publicist,
- 49:43Speaker 18: a celebrity publicist, say to shove down our throats that
- 49:47Speaker 18: really bizarre documentary about their love story, and then to
- 49:50Speaker 18: go a wall when it comes to the truth about
- 49:52Speaker 18: what's happening. Now, that's a major PR fail and they've
- 49:56Speaker 18: got to figure it out.
- 49:57Speaker 2: It's car crash, Kinsey, it's a car pressure. Thank you
- 50:01Speaker 2: so much for your time this evening, and that's it
- 50:04Speaker 2: from May. I'll see you Sunday morning for outsiders and
- 50:07Speaker 2: tomorrow night for lefties. Losing it at nine point thirty
