- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey guys, it's the almost famous podcast. It is me solo,
- 0:09Speaker 2: but not really because I am joined here by two
- 0:12Speaker 2: lovely men, Jonathan Johnson and Justin Glaie, two of my
- 0:16Speaker 2: favorite guys from recent Bachelor history. Of course, you guys
- 0:20Speaker 2: are kind of like you're in the class above me,
- 0:23Speaker 2: like far above me. I guess like you we didn't
- 0:26Speaker 2: go to high school at the same time, basically yeah,
- 0:30Speaker 2: and like we've met to say, yeah, nothing but great
- 0:33Speaker 2: things society. So we were actually supposed to have Grant
- 0:39Speaker 2: on the podcast with you guys, supposed to be like
- 0:41Speaker 2: a trio, but since he's not here and it was
- 0:45Speaker 2: it was a late cancel. I do want to ask
- 0:48Speaker 2: his question because it was the juiciest question of the
- 0:50Speaker 2: entire podcast to you guys, and you can just have
- 0:54Speaker 2: fun with it. So Juliana went on a Bachelor Happy
- 0:58Speaker 2: Hour the podcast this week, and she said that the
- 1:00Speaker 2: day after after the final rows, after their finale, that
- 1:05Speaker 2: they exchanged some words that were hurtful, and the next
- 1:08Speaker 2: morning he actually had like a game plan for publicly
- 1:13Speaker 2: announcing their breakup. Did you guys hear about this.
- 1:17Speaker 3: I think that was on the headline. Well yeah, but
- 1:20Speaker 3: I will say I was there, like at their party,
- 1:23Speaker 3: like the night after, and they they looked happy. They
- 1:27Speaker 3: books can be deceiving, they can't be deceiving, and that's true.
- 1:29Speaker 3: And I was, but I was gassing her up. But
- 1:31Speaker 3: I was like, yeah, it looks so great together. Blah
- 1:32Speaker 3: bla blah. She seemed like stoked about it.
- 1:35Speaker 2: This is after you guys got off stage, like after
- 1:38Speaker 2: the audience.
- 1:38Speaker 3: This is when we went to that, you know, like
- 1:40Speaker 3: the celebration party that they hold for the winners winters. Yeah,
- 1:44Speaker 3: we were there all together with her family, Like everybody
- 1:47Speaker 3: was stoked there, like we love Grant blah blah blah.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I think they got into the fight right after that.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Do we know what the fight was about.
- 1:54Speaker 2: No, we don't really specifically, but he was ready to
- 1:58Speaker 2: break up and make it official publicly that soon after.
- 2:02Speaker 2: So I kind of wanted to know what happened that night.
- 2:06Speaker 3: I know, I kind of wish she was here to
- 2:07Speaker 3: explain himself.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I know, Well, next time. So, justin the last time
- 2:17Speaker 2: we saw you, you were basically leaving Paradise. You and
- 2:22Speaker 2: Susie had obviously had so much love between the two
- 2:26Speaker 2: of you, and I was kind of like rooting for
- 2:30Speaker 2: a reconciliation. I was like, there's they're just there's something there.
- 2:35Speaker 2: What is your relationship status these days?
- 2:39Speaker 3: Oh? I'm single? Yeah?
- 2:43Speaker 2: Would would Would Jonathan ever be allowed to date Susie?
- 2:47Speaker 3: Absolutely the not.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:49Speaker 3: I don't even have to answer that one. That's a
- 2:52Speaker 3: crazy question.
- 2:54Speaker 2: So you guys are really tight, right.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Yes, you know that's my boy. That's my boy.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, good? Well, so who from Bachelor Nation justin
- 3:05Speaker 2: would you see Jonathan with?
- 3:08Speaker 3: Ask me do that's a good question.
- 3:14Speaker 2: I've as I like to ask the hard questions right
- 3:16Speaker 2: off the top for for Jonathan.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Yeah, this is a good one. This is a good one.
- 3:25Speaker 4: So it's it's it's tough to say because I haven't
- 3:29Speaker 4: met a ton of them in person, and I don't
- 3:32Speaker 4: like to go by just what you see, like either
- 3:35Speaker 4: on the screen or on social media and whatnot. But
- 3:38Speaker 4: I can describe what I think Jonathan would want and
- 3:43Speaker 4: need in a person, and then maybe that could kind
- 3:45Speaker 4: of brew up some some names.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Now I think she wants that's not that I think
- 3:49Speaker 3: I think she wants the juicy. I think she wants
- 3:51Speaker 3: a name.
- 3:51Speaker 2: I don't know an she don't know any girls that
- 3:55Speaker 2: you think you would like to set up Jonathan want
- 3:57Speaker 2: me he wants to be set up with Lynd Bristow.
- 4:00Speaker 2: But I told her that every time. I'm just sure,
- 4:04Speaker 2: so he asked.
- 4:05Speaker 4: He asked her, Oh, it's like always a bit if.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Everything.
- 4:16Speaker 4: I was about to say, I'm way off, just when
- 4:19Speaker 4: you think you know the guy.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Before we hit record, Jonathan was telling me that he
- 4:24Speaker 2: likes a girl who's calm, cool, and collected, okay herself.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Any of those that's what you see, Okay, okay, okay,
- 4:32Speaker 3: But he likes he needs a little spice too. That
- 4:34Speaker 3: is true. He needs someone that can go deep but
- 4:36Speaker 3: also keep he's very confident in herself.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Well, she's like cool, like she's obviously very cool, and
- 4:44Speaker 2: she's not calm, and she's usually not collected. And I
- 4:47Speaker 2: say this as a friend, a good friend, a ten
- 4:51Speaker 2: year long friend.
- 4:53Speaker 3: I can see you with a well, I don't know.
- 4:55Speaker 4: I haven't had enough conversations, but I think in terms
- 4:57Speaker 4: of like the Caitlin side of things, that girl Carolina.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Oh please have you guys met before? I obsessed with
- 5:10Speaker 2: this idea because okay, you're just friends you have before?
- 5:20Speaker 3: Friendly?
- 5:22Speaker 5: Interesting see my favorite words, that's crazy, that's my boy
- 5:31Speaker 5: loves a friend. That my boy loves a friend.
- 5:37Speaker 3: I'm just I'm just picky.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Is it safe to say that Carolina and Jonathan may
- 5:44Speaker 2: have made at once?
- 5:45Speaker 3: No, that not safe to say.
- 5:47Speaker 2: It's not safe to say, safe to say. Squiggly guys
- 5:51Speaker 2: like he's like just wiggling all about right now. I
- 5:55Speaker 2: just say that I could see you guys together because
- 5:57Speaker 2: Carolina was on our podcast and I think she's we're
- 6:01Speaker 2: talking about Joe Jonas and you have a Joe Jonas look.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Is that true? I could see that.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Yeah, it's definitely.
- 6:09Speaker 3: That's a beautiful man. I'll take that.
- 6:12Speaker 2: He has great taste in men too. This is Jonathan's
- 6:15Speaker 2: a winner here. So all right, we'll go to some
- 6:18Speaker 2: more serious questions.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Now, they don't make me friends on any more people.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Please, Okay, Well, actually we have to reciprocate the question. So, Jonathan,
- 6:25Speaker 2: since Justin is single, we also need you to pick
- 6:28Speaker 2: somebody for Justin that we all know.
- 6:32Speaker 4: Good.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Look, it's gotta be somebody like. He's funny, like funny
- 6:38Speaker 3: as hell is. They got to match his funny. I
- 6:40Speaker 3: don't know if I've met anybody that's like a funny
- 6:43Speaker 3: girl yet where I'm like, no, you make me like
- 6:47Speaker 3: belly laugh, you know what I mean, like somebody that
- 6:50Speaker 3: could keep up with his wit. And I genuinely don't
- 6:53Speaker 3: know if I've met any girl in fascinations like that.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Well that's hilarious, but I don't think him and Laya
- 6:58Speaker 3: would work.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Okay, So if you could revisit your time in Paradise
- 7:13Speaker 2: with anybody else in that cast and justin let's just say,
- 7:17Speaker 2: in both of your Paradise casts, who would you ask
- 7:21Speaker 2: on a date that you didn't.
- 7:23Speaker 3: First time or second time?
- 7:25Speaker 2: I said, for you could be there?
- 7:27Speaker 4: Oh uh, honestly, well, let's go to the most recent one.
- 7:31Speaker 3: I did exactly what I wanted to do. I mean,
- 7:33Speaker 3: when I came.
- 7:34Speaker 4: In, obviously I had the date card, so I kind
- 7:38Speaker 4: of was able to pick whoever. I really can't think
- 7:40Speaker 4: of anyone from either cast that I would have wanted
- 7:44Speaker 4: to pursue that I didn't try to or she's just.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Saying like, just take on a date, though, like I
- 7:48Speaker 3: feel like, yeah, I think he.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Doesn't even have to be like super hot and steaming,
- 7:53Speaker 2: like I think.
- 7:53Speaker 3: I would have loved to take Legs on a date.
- 7:55Speaker 3: But I don't think I'm her type, but I think
- 7:57Speaker 3: it would have been a fun, good date. Yeah, no, yeah,
- 8:02Speaker 3: I feel that. I mean, I really can't think of anyone,
- 8:08Speaker 3: like even some of you just have fun with, like
- 8:10Speaker 3: like dude, watching you and Leg on a date would
- 8:12Speaker 3: be hilarious. I was gone by that time, I know,
- 8:16Speaker 3: but that's not what she's saying.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Is hypothetical. This is totally hypothetical of the entire cast.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Day.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Okay, we're gonna move on.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm so sorry.
- 8:26Speaker 2: It is totally okay. Now it's okay. I understand brain
- 8:30Speaker 2: fog when it comes to remembering April.
- 8:32Speaker 3: You can take my girl April on a date that
- 8:34Speaker 3: would have been yeah. Faith.
- 8:41Speaker 2: So it's it's the holiday season and these podcasts are
- 8:45Speaker 2: slightly holiday themed, and I wanted to know, is there
- 8:48Speaker 2: anything that you enjoy about being single at the holidays?
- 8:52Speaker 2: Is there anything that's better.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Just talked about this, We're like, do we just want
- 8:57Speaker 3: to date somebody just so we can enjoy like the
- 8:59Speaker 3: like the craziness about the literally last time.
- 9:05Speaker 4: We are pretty fortunate to get some coo opportunities to
- 9:08Speaker 4: travel and get invited to stuff and I'm like, man,
- 9:11Speaker 4: it would be really nice to like go to these things,
- 9:14Speaker 4: enjoy the experiences with somebody, and then go home cuddle
- 9:16Speaker 4: up with.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Some hot chocolate. I'm saying, watch a movie like that.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Answer is no.
- 9:24Speaker 2: To say, I don't think I miss a single thing
- 9:27Speaker 2: about being single or on the holidays. It used to
- 9:29Speaker 2: be a time where I would get super stressed about
- 9:32Speaker 2: the fact that I was single. I was like, oh
- 9:33Speaker 2: my gosh, another Christmas and I'm single, And then I
- 9:35Speaker 2: would sing like the Britney Spirits Christmas song just thinking
- 9:38Speaker 2: about how I wanted to like have a boyfriend for Christmas.
- 9:41Speaker 3: I think that, I will say, though, the one thing
- 9:43Speaker 3: that is probably nice when I look back on this
- 9:46Speaker 3: is being able to go to all the holiday things
- 9:48Speaker 3: I want versus like having to like do my personal
- 9:52Speaker 3: things too. Yeah. If there's something where I'm like, oh,
- 9:55Speaker 3: I want to go to this, I get to go
- 9:56Speaker 3: to this. I can in whatever capacity I want. I
- 9:59Speaker 3: have that freedom to do that.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Would I prefer to go like bring my person to
- 10:03Speaker 3: all those things, for sure, but like being able to
- 10:05Speaker 3: go all the things that I want selfishly in this
- 10:08Speaker 3: time of life. Looking back on it, I'll probably be like, damn,
- 10:11Speaker 3: that was nice for a little bit.
- 10:12Speaker 2: You don't have a small talk with people that you
- 10:14Speaker 2: don't really know.
- 10:15Speaker 3: On her side, yeah, but I also love meeting new
- 10:18Speaker 3: people though, So it's so you're so sweet.
- 10:23Speaker 2: All right, Well, this is such a service level question.
- 10:27Speaker 2: But do you guys have anything on your Christmas list?
- 10:34Speaker 3: My mom asked me the same question Christmas. Really, yeah,
- 10:37Speaker 3: I feel like now it's crazy. I I'm not answering
- 10:40Speaker 3: any of your.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Questions directly, but it's okay justin I feel like I'm
- 10:45Speaker 4: at the age now where it's like, or within the
- 10:48Speaker 4: past couple of years, it like has switched where now
- 10:51Speaker 4: I'm like asking my parents like what do you want
- 10:53Speaker 4: and getting them a bunch of stuff and I'm like,
- 10:55Speaker 4: I'm good, I don't need anything.
- 10:56Speaker 3: I kind of buy myself whatever. And yeah, I'm like
- 10:58Speaker 3: I could get it, but now I'm let me pay
- 11:00Speaker 3: it forward and whatever you guys want. I'm more excited
- 11:04Speaker 3: about hearing from you what's on your list? Yeah, than
- 11:07Speaker 3: to like, I don't you know? Yeah, I say for me,
- 11:11Speaker 3: anytime I feel like there's something I want to buy,
- 11:12Speaker 3: like right now, I'm like, oh, should I need to
- 11:14Speaker 3: buy this? Like I just broke my Apple Watch, and
- 11:16Speaker 3: I was like, ash, I should probably tell my mom,
- 11:18Speaker 3: like I need that. I ended up just buying because
- 11:20Speaker 3: I needed it quick. But like Apple watches on there,
- 11:23Speaker 3: I'm a big watch guy, regular watch shoes, like hats.
- 11:28Speaker 3: I don't know. I love experiences. Give me a spot
- 11:31Speaker 3: a I'm down for a good spot.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Just the experience gifts for me as an adult and
- 11:36Speaker 2: especially from family. I feel like so my parents usually
- 11:40Speaker 2: give us money, but I was recently thinking, like debating,
- 11:43Speaker 2: should I ask for like an experienced gift that I
- 11:46Speaker 2: wouldn't necessarily buy for myself because when she does, you know,
- 11:49Speaker 2: when my mom and dad give me money, then I'm like,
- 11:51Speaker 2: you know, I save it or it goes to whoever.
- 11:53Speaker 2: You know, like life and.
- 11:56Speaker 3: What experience would.
- 11:57Speaker 6: You should I ask her for like three months of pilates,
- 12:05Speaker 6: unlimited pilates glasses instead of like the money that I
- 12:09Speaker 6: probably wouldn't put towards.
- 12:11Speaker 3: I like that, Okay, I like that. Yeah, I like that.
- 12:14Speaker 2: So now that you said that, you're excited about asking
- 12:18Speaker 2: what your parents want? What do your parents want? What
- 12:20Speaker 2: do you plan on getting them? I don't think they're gonna.
- 12:22Speaker 4: Want so my mom just said, I was just home
- 12:28Speaker 4: for Thanksgiving, and she wants a new kitchen table.
- 12:34Speaker 3: And so we were at the end. My mom's got
- 12:37Speaker 3: she got good taste, she got expensive taste, and.
- 12:40Speaker 4: So she's the one where she's like always wanted to
- 12:42Speaker 4: like renovate and do new things, and my dad's kind
- 12:45Speaker 4: of like, we don't need that. And so she had
- 12:47Speaker 4: a laptop up and kind of like perusing this site
- 12:50Speaker 4: and looking at kitchen tables, restoration hardware. It was our house,
- 12:55Speaker 4: our age, and she was like was like, yeah, like
- 13:00Speaker 4: I would really like this, blah blah blah, but like
- 13:02Speaker 4: I don't know if your dad's going to go for it,
- 13:04Speaker 4: so I might get in the kitchen table.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that's a shit. That's a good one.
- 13:07Speaker 2: It's a really good one. Yeah, I know. Well all right,
- 13:14Speaker 2: all right, So then Jonathan, what do you what do
- 13:16Speaker 2: you hoping to get your parents?
- 13:19Speaker 3: My dad's a simple creature. He doesn't really need much creature.
- 13:22Speaker 3: He just we're member, we're creatures, h all of us. Honestly,
- 13:29Speaker 3: I could just get my dad like a new pair
- 13:31Speaker 3: of shoes, and he's cool, Like if I spent money
- 13:33Speaker 3: on him, he would like not appreciate like he would
- 13:36Speaker 3: be more upset that I spent the money than he
- 13:37Speaker 3: would appreciate that I got it for him. God, that
- 13:39Speaker 3: makes sense.
- 13:40Speaker 2: That's like my dad too, except for my sister and
- 13:43Speaker 2: I are debating whether or not we should get my
- 13:45Speaker 2: dad tickets to see the Eagles at the Sphere because
- 13:48Speaker 2: he's been saying, oh, I want to do like and
- 13:50Speaker 2: he never says I want to do something or if
- 13:52Speaker 2: I want to travel. It's just like not my dad.
- 13:54Speaker 2: But he actually like has been asking my mom if
- 13:57Speaker 2: she would go. But here's the thing, my mom, It's like,
- 14:00Speaker 2: I'm not traveling across the country for a concert. And
- 14:04Speaker 2: I tried to convince her that like a concert at
- 14:06Speaker 2: the Sphere is definitely experience.
- 14:08Speaker 4: Would they like enjoy the rest of what Vegas has
- 14:11Speaker 4: to offer, like with the gamble a little bit?
- 14:13Speaker 2: They would go to dinner and my dad would play
- 14:14Speaker 2: like a little something. My sister just got married in
- 14:16Speaker 2: Vegas and in April, so they were kind of just there.
- 14:21Speaker 3: You have to see it, Adele, that would be sick
- 14:23Speaker 3: who I see?
- 14:24Speaker 2: I want to bring my dad to the backstree Boys,
- 14:26Speaker 2: because I'm definitely going to the Backstreet at the Sphere again.
- 14:30Speaker 2: I don't. I don't know exactly when, but that's something
- 14:32Speaker 2: I've been like Dad. When I was there at that show,
- 14:35Speaker 2: I was thinking my dad would lose it, like he
- 14:38Speaker 2: would think this would be the coolest thing ever. My
- 14:40Speaker 2: dad like just really likes like technology and visuals and stuff.
- 14:43Speaker 2: So I've been wanting to take him back to Backstreet
- 14:46Speaker 2: and then he's like, no, I want to see the Eagles,
- 14:47Speaker 2: not Backstreet, And I'm like, well, Eagles are his favorite band.
- 14:52Speaker 3: But it'd be a good one. I like that.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Yeah now blah blah blah. Yeah, So he's got to
- 14:56Speaker 2: figure out who's going to go with him. I mean,
- 14:58Speaker 2: I would definitely love to. Oh it's just like how
- 15:01Speaker 2: many concerts can Ashley travel? For a lot? Apparently not enough.
- 15:06Speaker 3: On the flip side of that, my mom My mom
- 15:08Speaker 3: just likes time like she's an experienced girl. If I'm like, hey,
- 15:12Speaker 3: I got us a spot A and Sedona, her world
- 15:14Speaker 3: would crumble before She'd be like, oh my god, we
- 15:16Speaker 3: need to like go do this together. I'd be like yep,
- 15:19Speaker 3: and would that would be her best gift ever?
- 15:21Speaker 2: I think bring your son to the SPA day.
- 15:23Speaker 3: That's honestly, I don't think she cares what it is like.
- 15:28Speaker 3: She would love to go like ATVing too, Like if
- 15:31Speaker 3: I got ATV experience, she'd be like, yes, let's go
- 15:35Speaker 3: do ten foot jumps and I'd be like, can you
- 15:36Speaker 3: get bigger balls than I do? But yeah, let's do.
- 15:38Speaker 2: It, like Okay, Well, guys, thanks for joining me. Have
- 15:41Speaker 2: the best time at jingle Ball, and until next time,
- 15:44Speaker 2: I've been Ashley, I've.
- 15:46Speaker 3: Been Jonathan perfect, and I've been.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Just thanks weird.
- 15:51Speaker 1: That's how I signed out by follow the Ben and
