- 0:00When a single mother begins to experience terrifying paranormal
- 0:04attacks, she quickly becomes a tortured soul imprisoned by the
- 0:10specters that inhabit her home. But with the assistance of a
- 0:14friend and parapsychologists, can she be freed from her
- 0:19torment, or will the entity destroy all of their lives?
- 0:25This is a very famous haunting indeed, and yet a highly
- 0:29controversial one. This is the untold story of the
- 0:33Entity Haunting, also known as the Doris Bithers case of
- 0:39California, and this story has per many of them as yet another
- 0:44one you won't want to watch in the dark or alone.
- 0:49It's important to note that the activity was taking place prior
- 0:53to the start of the timeline of this case, and all the details
- 0:57are scarce. I've done what I can to tell the
- 1:00most accurate story possible. In the summer of 1974 in Culver
- 1:06City, CA, 2 UCLA students were inside a Barnes and Noble
- 1:11bookstore on a dry and hot day. The two men were in search of a
- 1:17particular book that they believed could help them
- 1:20decipher a particular case that they were interested in.
- 1:24These two weren't just any students, however.
- 1:28They were parapsychologists Cary Graner and Barry Taff, who ran
- 1:33at the time a parapsychologist lab at the university.
- 1:39As they browsed the aisles of books, the two were having a
- 1:42conversation regarding the paranormal.
- 1:46As they exchanged details about the case that intrigued them, a
- 1:50woman would overhear them on the aisle opposite of theirs.
- 1:55Working up the courage, she walked over to the men's aisle
- 1:59and approached them. She would tell them that she had
- 2:03a friend who was constantly under attack by unseen entities,
- 2:08that it was a desperate situation, that she needed help
- 2:11from someone with their kind of expertise.
- 2:15The friend in question was a woman named Doris Bither, a
- 2:19middle-aged single mom from Culver City with four children.
- 2:25Doris was not only under attack by forces that she couldn't see
- 2:28or fight against, but so was her family.
- 2:32According to her friend, a woman calling herself Candy.
- 2:37Doris had claimed that the activity had started months
- 2:40prior and included, but wasn't limited to, objects moving on
- 2:45their own. Translucent figures, Horrendous
- 2:51putrid odors that seemingly wafted in from out of nowhere
- 2:56only to dissipate at random. Unusual noises such as banging,
- 3:01knocking and scratching coming from impossible places like
- 3:07inside the walls, the ceiling, the floor, with no rational
- 3:12origin as to what could be causing them.
- 3:15And disturbingly further, multiple physical assaults, all
- 3:20of which were increasing in intensity, frequency and
- 3:24aggression. Certainly interested in feeling
- 3:27as if their lives had just changed out of the blue, the two
- 3:31investigators took down the woman's information and sought
- 3:35permission from their supervisor at the parapsychology lab at
- 3:39UCLAA woman named Thelma Moss. It's important to note that from
- 3:46the 1960s through the 1970s and even into the 1980s, there was a
- 3:51massive influx of New Age religious movements and interest
- 3:55in occult practices in the United States.
- 3:59These interests gave rise to short lived, albeit interesting,
- 4:02programs at universities such as the Parapsychology Lab that's
- 4:07being mentioned now. The UCLA Parapsychology Lab was
- 4:11actually an umbrella offshoot program of the Neuropsychology
- 4:15program, and the goal was to study the various phenomena
- 4:18associated with the occult, the afterlife, and spiritual matters
- 4:24among other things. Upon receiving permission, Barry
- 4:28and Carrie set back off to Culver City to begin what would
- 4:31ultimately become a 10 week investigation and one that would
- 4:36change their lives and all of those involved forever.
- 4:41August 22nd of 1974, the two paranormal investigators arrived
- 4:47at Doris Bithers Home. The investigation, as it should,
- 4:52started off preliminary with the two men wanting to get a feel
- 4:55for the situation, Doris's authenticity, and if they
- 4:59personally felt anything while at the location or in the field
- 5:03there in person. The first thing the two men
- 5:06noticed was how rundown the house was.
- 5:09Barry would later say it was a small shack of a house, and it
- 5:14turns out it had already been twice condemned by the city.
- 5:18She shouldn't have been living there, let alone her and her
- 5:22children. Trying to push preconceived
- 5:25notions out of their minds, the two knocked on the door and
- 5:29would meet doors for the first time.
- 5:31Upon breaching the threshold of the dilapidated house, the men
- 5:35would sit down with a visually anxious woman in her living room
- 5:40to begin their interview. From the very start of the
- 5:43story, Sidoris was incredibly uncomfortable with giving out
- 5:48personal information, whether it was her age, history, or
- 5:53personal relationships. So Barry and Carrie, picking up
- 5:57on this, decided to strictly center the interview around the
- 6:01experiences that the woman had allegedly had happen.
- 6:04Sidoris began to elaborate on what her and her friend had
- 6:07already told the men, prompting their visit in the 1st place.
- 6:11Shockingly, though, alongside what they had already been told,
- 6:16that the family was being harassed, that translucent
- 6:19figures and unexplained noises haunted their waking lives.
- 6:24Doris soon also told them that she was being frequently
- 6:27assaulted by these unseen forces.
- 6:30They somewhat knew of this because of her friend, but they
- 6:33didn't have too many details to go off of at the time.
- 6:36These assaults, she said, had happened both when she was alone
- 6:40as well as when her children were home.
- 6:43That the entities had gone so far as to assault her in full
- 6:46view of her children, mentally scarring all those experiencing
- 6:50the event. She would also mention the
- 6:53frequency of the attacks were ever increasing and their
- 6:56aggression was ever growing. She described the force as if it
- 7:01were three entities, 2 smaller men and A1 larger one.
- 7:07The two smaller ones would hold her down while the larger one
- 7:10did what it wanted to do. The two men looked at each other
- 7:14following these statements, Barry sighing and placing his
- 7:18hands on his head. He would later say that once we
- 7:22heard those words leave her mouth.
- 7:24I honestly sat back and thought to myself that this woman is
- 7:28either on drugs or psychotic because this is just too
- 7:33unbelievable. Believing Doris to be
- 7:36experiencing some kind of mental health crisis, the two would
- 7:39refer her to a psychiatric clinic on the UCLA campus so
- 7:43that she could hopefully receive the help that she needed.
- 7:47They would then pack up their belongings, thank her for her
- 7:50time, and set back off to UCLA, believing that this would be the
- 7:55last time that they would deal with her.
- 7:57However, it would be far from the last time that all three
- 8:01would cross paths. Just ten days later, Barry would
- 8:05receive a phone call from Doris, claiming that not only had the
- 8:09paranormal activity worsened, but that her friends and
- 8:12neighbors were now having their own experiences.
- 8:16Like the entities were haunting the land or possibly trying to
- 8:19feed off of all others that were accessible nearby.
- 8:24And this thought just further struck intrigue and curiosity
- 8:27within him. Reluctant at first, believing
- 8:31the room for the possibility that perhaps they were wrong,
- 8:35Barry agreed to head back out with Carrie for a follow up
- 8:38interview. This was mostly due to there
- 8:40being outside people experiencing the alleged
- 8:43phenomenon. Several days later, the two men
- 8:46would arrive yet again at the rundown home of Doris Pither,
- 8:51but upon entering the home, differing from last time, they
- 8:55were hit with the foulest odor that either of them had ever
- 8:59experienced in their entire lives.
- 9:02In later interviews, Barry Taft would say it was a putrid smell
- 9:07of rotting organic matter, like that of rotting flesh.
- 9:11It was a pungent, sour, and nauseating smell.
- 9:17Unsure of what to make of this, the two followed Doris into her
- 9:20kitchen, this time to discuss her case further.
- 9:24As they all stood there listening to one another, a
- 9:27cabinet door suddenly opened several feet away from them,
- 9:31with no one near it close enough to open it themselves.
- 9:35It was. If the cabinet had a mind of its
- 9:37own, or an invisible hand had thrown it open, that wouldn't be
- 9:42all either. A heavy cast iron frying pan
- 9:46launched at the three of them from within the confines of the
- 9:50cabinet. Barry would later describe it
- 9:52being thrown at them like this, that the pan was thrown with a
- 9:57huge amount of force and a ballistic arc just barely
- 10:02missing us. Moments after dodging the
- 10:05object, the two men quickly turned from skeptics to
- 10:10believers. Not only was there something
- 10:13paranormal happening within the walls of this condemned home,
- 10:17but whatever it was clearly was powerful and malevolent.
- 10:22It was now blatantly apparent that Doris and her children were
- 10:27in potential danger. Typically speaking, personal
- 10:31history can go a long way, and to deciphering just how or why a
- 10:35person is being haunted by supernatural forces, such as
- 10:40what could they have done to open a door to such things?
- 10:43Was it a personal choice, a family curse, or something else
- 10:48entirely? In the case of Doris Bither,
- 10:51with how cryptic she was about her personal information at the
- 10:54time of the investigation, not much was known until long after
- 10:59her life was over, which we'll get into later.
- 11:03This lack of information and cooperation would prove to her
- 11:07not help Barrie and Carrie and their pursuit to now assist the
- 11:11woman who's being tormented by invisible and violent entities,
- 11:17deciding to rehash the information so they could decide
- 11:20best how to approach the situation.
- 11:22Barrie and Carrie again interviewed Doris and asked her
- 11:25to start from the very beginning.
- 11:28She would inevitably tell them the same stories, but this time
- 11:32with more information. She explained that her and her
- 11:35children had lived at a previous home and had experienced several
- 11:39happenings there prior to moving to the house that they now lived
- 11:43in, in Culver City. The activity had started small,
- 11:48the feeling as if they were being watched, the occasional
- 11:52apparition of a person out of the corner of their eye, but
- 11:56nothing much at first other than anxiety.
- 11:59But that too would be short lived.
- 12:02Objects there as well began moving on their own.
- 12:06One night a lamp in particular was thrown across the room, and
- 12:11that's when they knew they were dealing with something that they
- 12:14couldn't comprehend, let alone explain.
- 12:18The apparitions themselves would too go from fuzzy figures being
- 12:22seen out of the corners of their eyes, of full blown
- 12:26manifestations of translucent figures that would be seen by
- 12:31everyone. These see through men terrified
- 12:34and tormented everyone, especially the children.
- 12:39And this, along with some other personal hardships, is what
- 12:43prompted Doris to move to Culver City in the first place, in the
- 12:47hopes of starting fresh and leaving behind whatever darkness
- 12:51that was bothering them. But that would prove to be
- 12:54wishful thinking. Shortly after moving into her
- 12:58new Culver City home, Doris had received a knock on her door one
- 13:02afternoon. Upon opening the door, she came
- 13:06face to face with who she described as an elderly Mexican
- 13:10lady standing before her. The woman asked her if she was
- 13:14the person who now lived there, and upon answering yes, the
- 13:18woman then told Doris that she had come to deliver a message.
- 13:23She said that she needed to get out.
- 13:24Immediately. Upon asking why she felt this
- 13:28way, the woman told Doris that she used to live there when it
- 13:32was a farm many years ago when she had been a little girl.
- 13:36That's something very evil haunted the grounds in which the
- 13:40home was built upon, and that she and whoever else may be
- 13:44there were in very real danger. Doris, unsure of what to make of
- 13:50this because she had never seen or met this woman before, let
- 13:54alone told her about her previous experiences in her last
- 13:57home. Asked what she meant by
- 13:59something very evil, the woman who was starting to walk away
- 14:04now only said you need to leave while you still can.
- 14:10When the words left the old woman's lips, every hair on
- 14:14Doris's body stood on end, as if she was electrified and her
- 14:20blood ran ice cold. She would never encounter this
- 14:24woman ever again. Several weeks after this
- 14:28interaction, the very same activity the family had
- 14:31previously encountered returned with a vengeance.
- 14:37With this new information provided by Doris, Barry and
- 14:41Carrie were fairly certain that whatever the force was had more
- 14:44than likely followed her and her family from their previous
- 14:48residence. But as to why or how, those
- 14:52questions still remained. As the team gathered more
- 14:57information from Doris, it seemed that the deeper they dug
- 15:00into her story, the more abhorrent and charged the
- 15:04paranormal activity became. Alongside the previously
- 15:09mentioned happenings, the children too were being
- 15:12oppressed. They began to be slapped by
- 15:15invisible hands, woken up in the middle of the night by these
- 15:19beings, tormenting them, holding them down and hitting them.
- 15:25One dark night, the oldest son, while walking into the hallway
- 15:29to use the restroom after waking up out of a sound sleep, claimed
- 15:35to have bumped into a person that he couldn't see, leaving
- 15:39him petrified. Another important note here is
- 15:44that Doris did indeed have four children, but her oldest child,
- 15:49a girl, lived at another residence, thus leaving Doris
- 15:53and her three sons at the Culver City house.
- 15:57The family all describe the spirits as feeling male, as if
- 16:01they were mean and masculine beings who sought to bully them
- 16:06and take what they wanted. At any given time, the children
- 16:10would come to refer to the largest of the men as Mr. Who's
- 16:14It? As in Who?
- 16:17Is it? An enigmatic yet scary nickname
- 16:21for something that none of them quite understood.
- 16:25Nor could they As time progressed during the
- 16:28investigation, Barry and Carrie decided that they needed to try
- 16:32and obtain as much physical evidence as possible.
- 16:36During the last several weeks, they compiled a team of other
- 16:40UCLA students who either worked at or were interested in
- 16:44parapsychology via the lab. However, given the age of the
- 16:49program they were involved with, and it already being lightly
- 16:53funded by the university, coupled with the skepticism of
- 16:57Thelma Moss, no additional funding was thrown Bury and
- 17:00Carrie's way. Therefore, they had to work with
- 17:04what they had, and what they had was enough for themselves,
- 17:08several fellow student investigators, and a few
- 17:12professional photographers to document any findings.
- 17:16Their gear would include EMF readers, temperature gauges,
- 17:21recording devices, and Ouija boards.
- 17:24The group now would try their best to document evidence of the
- 17:27haunting at Doris Bither's home, not only in efforts to prove
- 17:32that the paranormal exists, but to hopefully try and figure out
- 17:36just why these entities were plaguing her and her family.
- 17:40In efforts his sister, they first tried to provoke
- 17:44interactions with the beings, asking questions in hopes of
- 17:48receiving answers such as one knock for yes and two knocks for
- 17:53no, or recording audible answers called Evps, otherwise known as
- 18:00Electronic Voice Phenomena. However, due to their
- 18:04limitations, any audible answers they received couldn't really be
- 18:09confirmed at the time. Either the audio would be too
- 18:12muffled or too broken to make out.
- 18:16Candy, Doris's friend who originally sought out their
- 18:19help, was also present during many of the visits.
- 18:24She had claimed psychic ability, being able to see and feel
- 18:28things that others couldn't, so attempting to use her abilities
- 18:32as a tool, they would try and provoke answers using her.
- 18:36These attempts would also prove not to be very fruitful, since
- 18:41you can't really document a feeling as being watched or the
- 18:45anxiety it produces aside from how a person looks when
- 18:49experiencing these emotions. Since they weren't receiving
- 18:53much interaction with their current methods, the
- 18:56investigators took to mostly taking photos while asking
- 18:59questions to those around them, as well as the presence in the
- 19:04house with 9 cameras set up, some being held by students and
- 19:10others on tripods, were being held by hired photographers.
- 19:14They would take hundreds of photos, but time after time each
- 19:19photo proved nothing. Frustrated, after hours this
- 19:24particular day of no findings, most of the crew congregated in
- 19:29the kitchen considering calling it a quits since not really much
- 19:33was happening. It was here that after several
- 19:36minutes, Candy shouted. It's right in front of me,
- 19:40prompting those that were closest to her to run to her.
- 19:45Candy and Doris had been sitting next to one another in Doris's
- 19:48room when Candy allegedly saw what she saw ahead of the rest.
- 19:53Carrie would ultimately get there and take several Polaroid
- 19:57photos in hopes of catching whatever it was that the woman
- 20:00had claimed she had seen. To his surprise, the 1st 2
- 20:05pictures were completely bleached white.
- 20:08Not quite blank, but something seemed to be obscuring the
- 20:12camera. Thinking perhaps his camera in
- 20:15particular was malfunctioning, he waited until Candy said that
- 20:19the force was gone. He then snapped 2 more photos
- 20:23with the same camera in the same spot to try and determine if
- 20:27that was indeed the case. Yet this time the two photos
- 20:32came out normal. They didn't show anything of
- 20:34significance, but they showed the room a far cry difference
- 20:39versus the first two photos. Mere minutes after this took
- 20:43place, everyone present was flabbergasted when the front
- 20:48door swung open by itself and a frigid breeze was felt blowing
- 20:52into the house despite the temperature being rather warm
- 20:56that day. Outside.
- 20:58What followed this occurrence was the worst stench that most
- 21:01of the people present said that they had ever smelled in their
- 21:05entire lives. There was again a putrid,
- 21:09rotting odor, like that of decaying meat.
- 21:13It caused at least three people to vomit on the spot.
- 21:17Carrie and several others, despite the scent, took photos
- 21:20in the direction that it seemed to be flowing, and where it
- 21:23seemed to settle was in front of candy.
- 21:27She then began exclaiming that the entity was right in front of
- 21:30her and each time photos were taken they were bleached out
- 21:34completely or semi bleached. This was bizarre to say the
- 21:39least because these photos were taken across multiple cameras.
- 21:44For comparison's sake, again, Carrie waited until Candy said
- 21:47that the entity was gone and asked those present to take
- 21:51additional photos. And again, like the first time
- 21:55normal photos were presented, this particular day was not only
- 22:00weird, but presented what the group considered some evidence.
- 22:04But despite this evidence, they still were unsure of how to even
- 22:08begin to help doors. So again, they would follow up
- 22:11in a few more days, but this time with even more people, A
- 22:16total of 20 altogether, some paid and some volunteers, but
- 22:22both Barry and Carrie felt that the more people they could have
- 22:25experienced the phenomenon, the better.
- 22:29As everyone arrived in several carloads, they again would
- 22:33unload their equipment inside the small Culver City, CA home
- 22:38and then waited for something paranormal to occur.
- 22:43The first several hours didn't yield many results, but the
- 22:46third hour was spectacular. Balls of light began to appear
- 22:51on the walls and floors. Wanting to make sure someone
- 22:55wasn't faking it, Carrie asked the presents to prove that it
- 22:59was really there with them to come into the center of the
- 23:02living room, and it obliged. A ball of light lime green in
- 23:09color several feet across, lifted from the wall and moved
- 23:14into the center of the room and began to oscillate, hover, and
- 23:20move before dissipating. After several minutes, with
- 23:25everyone stunned by what had just taken place, they quickly
- 23:29began to check the photos they had taken with all nine of the
- 23:32cameras they had at that time. Although they had limited
- 23:36success capturing the light phenomenon, the did manage to
- 23:39gather several interesting pieces of evidence.
- 23:43Besides orbs themselves surrounding doors, the light had
- 23:48created a reverse arc that seemed to surround her.
- 23:53Following this investigation with not a lot of other tangible
- 23:56pieces of evidence, the photos capturing the lights quickly
- 24:01became the main focus and findings of the team, with the
- 24:06crew spending so much time on this investigation.
- 24:08In particular, the head of the department at UCLA, Thelma Moss,
- 24:13who had originally given the go ahead and funding for the
- 24:16investigations to take place, had heard so much about what had
- 24:20happened. Though she wasn't convinced in
- 24:23the beginning, she wanted to go and try and experience the
- 24:26phenomena for herself. So her, Barry and Carrie made a
- 24:32visit to Doris's home, but after arriving and after several hours
- 24:37of no activity, despite being told everything that had
- 24:41happened with only a few questionable photos being
- 24:44presented to her, Thelma would ultimately pull the plug on the
- 24:48project. Thus, this would be the last
- 24:51time that any of them would visit Doris Bithers Residence.
- 24:56She would not get the clarity or assistance that she originally
- 25:00sought, and thus her investigation, at least by the
- 25:04UCLA Parapsychology Lab, came to an abrupt end by the time the
- 25:10investigators exited her life. Thankfully, she was able to save
- 25:15enough money from working multiple jobs to be able to
- 25:18finally move out of the dilapidated home where the
- 25:21majority of the activity had taken place.
- 25:24However, despite Taft's best intentions, she did not leave
- 25:29any sort of a forwarding address with anyone who'd been involved
- 25:33in the original investigations. Now this case, albeit famous as
- 25:38previously mentioned, is a controversial one for several
- 25:42reasons. But before we get into the
- 25:45evidence, let's first discuss Doris Bither and her troubled
- 25:49past. Doris did not provide many
- 25:52details to the original crew who was investigating her case.
- 25:56This was certainly a hindrance for both her and certainly a
- 25:59failure on behalf of the investigators.
- 26:02But from what I was able to find is that she absolutely had a
- 26:06problem with alcohol for sure, possibly drugs as well, but
- 26:11those allegations aren't provable.
- 26:13In later interviews, Barry would mention that for the majority of
- 26:16the time that they were at Doris's house, she almost always
- 26:20was drinking hard liquor and had an incredibly strained
- 26:23relationship with her children. I did also previously mention
- 26:27that she had an older daughter that she didn't have custody of.
- 26:30It's possible that perhaps these previous issues had something to
- 26:34do with that. The claims of Spectral
- 26:36Molestation also could never be proven outside of the members of
- 26:40the household sharing what they had seen.
- 26:43Doris had mentioned it quite a bit, but it was certainly out of
- 26:47Bury and Carrie's area of expertise, so they didn't really
- 26:50want to get involved with that aspect of the case.
- 26:54She'd explained that she had bruising in her inner thighs and
- 26:57her groin, but had never taken a trip to the hospital to have
- 27:00said allegations proven or documented if they could have
- 27:04been. But then again, what could she
- 27:06have told the staff or authorities at that point?
- 27:10They probably would have had her committed.
- 27:12Could these claims possibly be a result of her mental health and
- 27:16past abuse? Again, these questions we can
- 27:19only speculate the answers to. Aside from Doris's clearly
- 27:23troubled life, another part that makes this case so controversial
- 27:28is the evidence and the investigation itself.
- 27:31Really. And keep in mind that Bury and
- 27:34Carrie, at this time, they were students at UCLA, you know, they
- 27:38weren't seasoned investigators. So in that regard, having been
- 27:44there myself in a sense as an investigator, A paranormal
- 27:48investigator, I can somewhat understand why they made some of
- 27:52the mistakes that they did. So Barry and Carrie would both
- 27:56go on to gain major notoriety as a result of this case and others
- 28:01such as the San Pedro haunting involving Jackie Hernandez,
- 28:05which I also have a video on. But at this time they were both
- 28:09students, relatively inexperienced, and this clearly
- 28:13showed during their investigation.
- 28:15Barry, who would go on to be an informal spokesman for the case
- 28:19years later, but make several comments in regards to the
- 28:21photos themselves, saying that they were fairly inexperienced
- 28:26with the cameras that they used at the time, often messing up
- 28:29photos accidentally because they simply weren't familiar with how
- 28:33to use the technology properly. We also have to bear in mind
- 28:36that they did have professional photographers that they paid for
- 28:39as well, so take that and do what you will.
- 28:43The photos themselves would be authenticated and then published
- 28:46by Popular Photography, which was a magazine at the time and
- 28:50would be the only ghost related photos to ever be published in
- 28:53the magazine as the photos in the case gain notoriety.
- 28:57As a result of this, Frank Difilita, an author, producer
- 29:02and director would take an interest in the case and he
- 29:06actually tracked down Doris Pither for the rights to her
- 29:09story. Upon meeting her, he would
- 29:11discover that the phenomena had indeed followed.
- 29:13Doris, after 5 painstaking years, had finally ebbed away to
- 29:18the point to where was a mere shadow of its former self.
- 29:22Frank would ultimately make a fictionalized version of Doris's
- 29:25story that would become known as The Entity and would be
- 29:29published in 1978. It would later be adapted into a
- 29:33now famous film in 1982, but Oars not only had a troubled
- 29:38life of both physical and substance abuse, but also gained
- 29:42a lot of unwanted attention as a result of the book and the film
- 29:46that followed. It is unknown how much, if any,
- 29:49money she received for the hell that she claimed to have endured
- 29:52for all those years, and I do find it incredibly sad that she
- 29:56ultimately didn't receive the help that she initially needed
- 30:00and wanted. And following all of this
- 30:02publicity, she all but vanished from public life.
- 30:07Doris Bithert would pass away at the age of 58 and 1999 of cardio
- 30:12pulmonary failure after moving to Texas and then back to
- 30:16California. While it was stated that her
- 30:19death was a result of multiple organ failure, the precise cause
- 30:23of such untimely organ failure was never medically determined.
- 30:28Doris's chilling brush with unseen assailants came to be
- 30:31viewed as one of the most baffling yet controversial cases
- 30:34in the paranormal community and is still clearly being discussed
- 30:38to this day. And what truly happened in the
- 30:41bither home in Culver City, CA remains unclear.
- 30:46What is it? A true intelligent, haunting,
- 30:49poltergeist activity or demonic infestation?
- 30:53Was Doris simply a tormented woman with mental and substance
- 30:58abuse issues? Did she possess spiritual gifts
- 31:01that she wasn't aware of? Or was the entire thing an
- 31:05elaborate hoax of some kind? All of these questions and more
- 31:10we may never have the answers to because those who possess them
- 31:15have already taken their final trip to the grave.
