- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous. It's La La Kent. Welcome to untraditionally Laala, Hello,
- 0:06Speaker 1: my loves. I just want to say I had the
- 0:11Speaker 1: best time at Bravocon. So I'm currently recording this on
- 0:15Speaker 1: my phone in a closet in Hawaii, because you guys know,
- 0:20Speaker 1: for the past three years I bring my family here
- 0:23Speaker 1: for two weeks. It's filled with no makeup, it is
- 0:27Speaker 1: filled with hair being everywhere, no shoes. It is the
- 0:31Speaker 1: time of our lives. These are the best days of
- 0:34Speaker 1: our lives. But I will say there was something so
- 0:38Speaker 1: amazing for me about Bravocon this year. And I can't
- 0:43Speaker 1: quite put my finger on why it was so amazing,
- 0:48Speaker 1: but it just felt for me like there was no pressure.
- 0:54Speaker 1: You guys know, I'm not some like fashion girly, you know.
- 0:59Speaker 1: I like my I like feeling sexy, I like feeling cute.
- 1:03Speaker 1: But the pressure of it because you've got, you know,
- 1:06Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty plus Bravo lebs that are showing
- 1:09Speaker 1: up to be like the most fabulous and stunning and
- 1:14Speaker 1: snatched people you've ever seen in your life, and so
- 1:17Speaker 1: there is an element of like me feeling, I guess
- 1:22Speaker 1: anyone feeling. I talked to many of the housewives. Just
- 1:27Speaker 1: a little bit of pressure, you know, wanting to look good,
- 1:30Speaker 1: but also it being a very long day, and you
- 1:34Speaker 1: you want to be kind to everybody, but it's also
- 1:36Speaker 1: exhausting you want to say the right thing. I got
- 1:39Speaker 1: a lot of people saying to me, you know, on
- 1:43Speaker 1: the panel where it was announced finally that Schwartzy and
- 1:47Speaker 1: I will be full time cast members on the Valley,
- 1:50Speaker 1: that I needed to own the stage, and I seemed nervous.
- 1:53Speaker 1: And although I had a wonderful Bravo con and I
- 1:57Speaker 1: didn't feel much pressure for that panel, I think once
- 2:00Speaker 1: I sat down it did hit me. Like the last
- 2:04Speaker 1: time I had done a panel about the show that
- 2:08Speaker 1: I was on, which was vander Pump Rules, I felt
- 2:12Speaker 1: a bit suffocated by it. I was very nervous. I
- 2:16Speaker 1: obviously knew what had happened season eleven, but the audience
- 2:20Speaker 1: did not, And so I knew going into this Valley
- 2:24Speaker 1: panel and people asking questions or knowing that I was
- 2:28Speaker 1: a full time cast member, it was going to ruffle
- 2:33Speaker 1: some feathers. I know that a lot of you love
- 2:37Speaker 1: that show, and you know you may or may not
- 2:40Speaker 1: have wanted to see me up here. So if you didn't,
- 2:46Speaker 1: you shouldn't watch, because I'm definitely on it and I'm excited.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I had a heyday. I was worried that I offended people,
- 2:57Speaker 1: like on my cast, that's weird to say, wow, on
- 3:01Speaker 1: my cast of The Valley, that still feels so weird,
- 3:05Speaker 1: you guys, with what I said saying that they weren't
- 3:09Speaker 1: a well oiled machine. And I didn't mean that as
- 3:12Speaker 1: a bad thing. They're two seasons in. It's a strange
- 3:17Speaker 1: thing to pinpoint how you're feeling and being black and
- 3:20Speaker 1: white and trying to avoid the gray of life and
- 3:24Speaker 1: then having a camera crew capture everything and being called
- 3:27Speaker 1: out on details. So I just felt like that's what
- 3:32Speaker 1: I meant. I just felt like they only had two
- 3:35Speaker 1: seasons under their belt, and you know, usually I well,
- 3:39Speaker 1: the one case going on to vander Pump, I was
- 3:41Speaker 1: the well oiled machine with the Valley, but going on
- 3:44Speaker 1: to vander Pump, it was a well oiled machine. So
- 3:48Speaker 1: I was kind of taught by the fucking best. But
- 3:52Speaker 1: I had such a great time filming The Valley. I
- 3:54Speaker 1: think you guys will really like the season. I know
- 3:57Speaker 1: that season two was really dark, but that was life.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I mean, these shows capture what's really happening in our lives,
- 4:07Speaker 1: and there will be a very different vibe for season three.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I feel like there is lightness and pettiness and all
- 4:15Speaker 1: the things that make us all obsessed with reality television.
- 4:21Speaker 1: With that, I want to say that someone I had
- 4:27Speaker 1: heard rumblings about this Q and A that Jeff Lewis
- 4:30Speaker 1: and Andy Cohen did, and this man stood up and
- 4:34Speaker 1: talked about his sobriety journey and how he bought a
- 4:39Speaker 1: ticket to Bravocan because he felt like he wanted to
- 4:42Speaker 1: celebrate his recovery, and unfortunately he did not make it
- 4:50Speaker 1: to Bravocn, meaning in his recovery, and so he wanted
- 4:53Speaker 1: to punish himself and not go. And then he listened
- 4:57Speaker 1: to untraditionally La La, the episode where I talk about
- 5:01Speaker 1: my sweet dog Lily and how she got me through
- 5:05Speaker 1: the hardest moments of my life and kept me sober
- 5:09Speaker 1: for many moments of my life, or I guess in
- 5:13Speaker 1: the seven years that I've been sober. And he said
- 5:21Speaker 1: once he listened to that, he said he could relate
- 5:25Speaker 1: because he also has a dog who's gotten him through
- 5:28Speaker 1: many tough moments. And he decided to come to Bravo Khan,
- 5:32Speaker 1: and he also praised Andy and Bravo for casting people
- 5:37Speaker 1: on these shows that people can relate to and at
- 5:42Speaker 1: times save lives, you know, in his case. And I
- 5:48Speaker 1: want to say this first. Hearing that is so humbling
- 5:56Speaker 1: to me. You know, there's so many moments, whether it's
- 6:03Speaker 1: us in recovery or us wanting to change things in
- 6:06Speaker 1: our in our lives, or how we are as people
- 6:08Speaker 1: and going God, I really wish I wasn't like born
- 6:12Speaker 1: this way, Like I wish that I didn't hold onto things,
- 6:14Speaker 1: and I wish that I could, you know, get out
- 6:16Speaker 1: of my own head, whatever it may be. And we
- 6:19Speaker 1: think that the answer is to punish ourselves and that
- 6:23Speaker 1: tomorrow doesn't exist because we're so in it. And I
- 6:27Speaker 1: know that feeling better than anybody where you're like, I
- 6:30Speaker 1: just am. I'm in it. I can't see the light
- 6:33Speaker 1: I'm in I'm in guilt and shame and anger, and
- 6:37Speaker 1: you start looping and spiraling. And I just want to
- 6:41Speaker 1: say to this guy and I acknowledged him on Instagram,
- 6:49Speaker 1: but hopefully he listens to untraditionally Lalla each week so
- 6:54Speaker 1: that he knows that I see him and I hear
- 6:57Speaker 1: him and for him to stand and shared that part
- 7:04Speaker 1: of his life and what he struggles with. I mean,
- 7:08Speaker 1: I wasn't in awe and I just found that to
- 7:11Speaker 1: be so beautiful. And I hope that this does not
- 7:14Speaker 1: come off as cheesy, but it's moments like that that
- 7:18Speaker 1: made me go wow, Like all of the mean things
- 7:23Speaker 1: that people say about me, like this one moment makes
- 7:29Speaker 1: being on TV and sharing my story and my authentic self,
- 7:33Speaker 1: it makes it all so fucking worth it. So I'm
- 7:37Speaker 1: so appreciative for you that you stood up and shared
- 7:41Speaker 1: that part of yourself. It helped me. So often I
- 7:46Speaker 1: feel alone and I know that that probably sounds shocking
- 7:52Speaker 1: because we're all just viewers right from the outside. We
- 7:55Speaker 1: don't know what someone's really going through. But you know,
- 7:58Speaker 1: life can be extremely isolating, so you made me feel
- 8:01Speaker 1: less alone. I am wishing you all of the best
- 8:05Speaker 1: in your recovery journey. Just know that if you have
- 8:09Speaker 1: a slip up, it's all good. You can get back
- 8:14Speaker 1: on the horse. Do not give it up. This journey
- 8:16Speaker 1: is worth it. And I'm thinking about you, I'm praying
- 8:20Speaker 1: for you, I'm sending you so much love, and in
- 8:24Speaker 1: the moments of weakness, I hope that you can sit
- 8:28Speaker 1: back and take a moment, because it always passes. Rough
- 8:34Speaker 1: moments are not forever. And then to follow up what
- 8:38Speaker 1: Jeff said, where people in recovery or I guess he
- 8:43Speaker 1: said if you're in recovery, you shouldn't be at Bravo con.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. I attended my first Bravo
- 8:50Speaker 1: Con a year into my sobriety, and a year is nothing,
- 8:56Speaker 1: especially in an environment like Bravo Con. I've never been
- 9:00Speaker 1: to Bravo Kan without being a person in recovery. Like
- 9:05Speaker 1: I love Jeff Lewis so much and he's so funny.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I was deeply saddened and hurt and offended by that
- 9:13Speaker 1: comment because bravocon is for people who fucking love Bravo.
- 9:18Speaker 1: We all love it. It's amazing, it's fun. It's not
- 9:23Speaker 1: a place where you only come to get fucked up.
- 9:26Speaker 1: It's where you come to quote all of the most
- 9:29Speaker 1: iconic housewife lines and relate to the woman who talks
- 9:33Speaker 1: about you know, her son who's struggling, or me, the
- 9:37Speaker 1: person in recovery. Like that's the core of fucking Bravocon.
- 9:44Speaker 1: So I don't want anybody for the next one to
- 9:48Speaker 1: feel like they don't belong because they may be in recovery.
- 9:52Speaker 1: I'm right there with you, babe. It's a lot, it's intense,
- 9:55Speaker 1: but we got this. I just wanted to make this
- 10:00Speaker 1: quick little episode voice note. I don't know to tell
- 10:05Speaker 1: you guys that I love you so much. I'm so
- 10:07Speaker 1: so happy that you guys share your stories and make
- 10:12Speaker 1: all of us feel like we're in this together. It
- 10:16Speaker 1: truly does make putting our lives out there worth it,
- 10:20Speaker 1: and it makes it so much easier to silence the
- 10:23Speaker 1: noise of the hate. And I'm really really excited to
- 10:30Speaker 1: be back on your guys's TVs. Even for those of
- 10:32Speaker 1: you who may not want it. I'm here, baby, I'm
- 10:39Speaker 1: not going anywhere. I told you. I told you. If
- 10:43Speaker 1: you don't want it, you better close your eyes and
- 10:46Speaker 1: plug your ears. I love you, guys. Thank you for
- 10:51Speaker 1: listening to untraditionally La La. I hope whoever came out
- 10:55Speaker 1: to Vegas for Bravo Con had the most lit time ever.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I know I did. I even cracked open an energy drink.
- 11:04Speaker 1: That's when you know it's a party for La La.
- 11:07Speaker 1: I will catch you guys next week. Have the best
- 11:12Speaker 1: day ever. Love you, Bye.
