Latest / V / Capitol Hill Showdown: Kash Patel & Tulsi Gabbard Face Off Against DC Swamp (Ep.130)
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Good morning and welcome to Bongino Report, early edition. Trump
- 0:04Speaker 1: suggests that DEI played a major role in the mid-air collision.
- 0:09Speaker 1: This week, Kash Patel fields bad faith hearing questions. Tulsi
- 0:16Speaker 1: Gabbard exposes intel agencies for funding Al Qaeda. And Trump
- 0:20Speaker 1: imposes a 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico.
- 0:24Speaker 1: All this on Bongino Report, early edition. sorry, you guys,
- 0:41Speaker 1: I'm going to get rid of this cold. I swear
- 0:43Speaker 1: it's almost gone. An internal preliminary FAA safety report on
- 0:49Speaker 1: the mid-air collision between an American Airlines flight and a
- 0:53Speaker 1: Blackhawk helicopter, the one that we've been talking about the
- 0:56Speaker 1: last few days, it's revealed that the staffing at the
- 0:59Speaker 1: air traffic control tower at the DC area airport was, quote,
- 1:04Speaker 1: not normal. for the time of day and volume of traffic.
- 1:07Speaker 1: The controller in the tower on Wednesday evening was handling
- 1:10Speaker 1: both helicopters in the airport's vicinity as well as instructing
- 1:14Speaker 1: planes that were departing from and landing on the airport's runways.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Per the Times, these jobs are typically assigned to two controllers,
- 1:24Speaker 1: not one. So it was a little bit of a
- 1:25Speaker 1: staffing issue happening there. Not sure if that's the reason
- 1:28Speaker 1: why we had this collision, but again, that's just some
- 1:30Speaker 1: more information coming out. Apparently, DCA's tower's have been understaffed
- 1:35Speaker 1: for years, and air traffic control stations across the country
- 1:39Speaker 1: were about 3,000 controllers short per Pete Buttigieg in 2023.
- 1:44Speaker 1: And I would be really curious to know how many
- 1:48Speaker 1: air traffic controllers were fired for refusing the COVID jab.
- 1:52Speaker 1: You're missing around 3,000 people. Okay, well, what happened in
- 1:56Speaker 1: the last couple of years that has caused a mass
- 1:59Speaker 1: exodus from our federal government? Forced exodus. because of this
- 2:03Speaker 1: experimental COVID jab. And a lot of people took it.
- 2:05Speaker 1: And I'm going to tell you guys, I was in DC.
- 2:07Speaker 1: I was meeting some people who work with my dad,
- 2:10Speaker 1: people who said, I had to take it. I didn't
- 2:13Speaker 1: want to lose my job. I couldn't lose my job.
- 2:15Speaker 1: And that resulted in adverse health effects. And there are
- 2:21Speaker 1: so many stories like this, people that I know personally,
- 2:23Speaker 1: people that I'm friends with who have had these experiences.
- 2:26Speaker 1: So I would be really curious to know how many
- 2:28Speaker 1: of them were fired by Biden for refusing the experimental
- 2:32Speaker 1: COVID jab. Also in 2023, Pete Buttigieg acknowledged that close
- 2:37Speaker 1: calls and near collisions were just out of control.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Take a listen.
- 2:41Speaker 3: How concerned are you?
- 2:42Speaker 4: I'm very concerned. We watch these things very closely. If
- 2:47Speaker 4: you look at the last decade or so, you would
- 2:49Speaker 4: see between 10 and 20 times a year, typically, that
- 2:52Speaker 4: this would happen. This year, we're on track to have
- 2:55Speaker 4: more than 20. And even one is one that I
- 2:58Speaker 4: would not like to see happen.
- 3:01Speaker 1: So apparently Mayor Pete, he knew there was a problem,
- 3:04Speaker 1: but didn't do much to fix things because there were
- 3:07Speaker 1: more near collisions that happened in 2023 and then 2024.
- 3:12Speaker 1: And ultimately, we've had this actual mid-air real crash in
- 3:19Speaker 1: 2025 this week. Now, certainly understaffing may have very well
- 3:23Speaker 1: played a role in this tragic crash. During his press
- 3:28Speaker 1: conference yesterday, President Trump, however, made another very valid point.
- 3:32Speaker 1: He had another suggestion of what he thinks is happening here,
- 3:35Speaker 1: and that is DEI poisoning the federal government, including the FAA.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Here was Trump yesterday.
- 3:40Speaker 2: They put a big push to put diversity into the
- 3:45Speaker 2: FAA's program. Then another article, the Federal Aviation Administration. This
- 3:52Speaker 2: was before I got to office recently, second term. The
- 3:59Speaker 2: FAA is actively recruiting workers who suffer severe intellectual disabilities,
- 4:05Speaker 2: psychiatric problems, and other mental and physical conditions under a
- 4:09Speaker 2: diversity and inclusion hiring initiative spelled out on the agency's website.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Can you imagine? These are people that are, I mean, actually,
- 4:20Speaker 2: their lives are shortened because of the stress that they have.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Brilliant people. have to be in those positions. And their
- 4:29Speaker 2: lives are actually shortened, very substantially shortened because of the
- 4:32Speaker 2: stress where you have many, many planes coming into one target.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So Trump goes on, it's actually even worse than what
- 4:40Speaker 1: he just laid out there. The FAA states that they
- 4:42Speaker 1: are targeting people with hearing and vision problems, people with
- 4:47Speaker 1: missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis, and epilepsy. And I
- 4:52Speaker 1: don't know, what do you expect to happen? Just a thought, chat.
- 4:55Speaker 1: What do you expect to happen? When you actively recruit
- 4:59Speaker 1: people with severe intellectual and psychiatric disabilities in the name
- 5:03Speaker 1: of diversity to a position that really holds people's lives
- 5:09Speaker 1: in their hands. Are we trying to get people killed?
- 5:13Speaker 1: For the Washington Times in February 2024, the FAA turned
- 5:17Speaker 1: away qualified air traffic controllers based solely on race. Again,
- 5:24Speaker 1: what is the goal? Are we trying to get people killed?
- 5:28Speaker 1: Because it really seems like it. Corporate media journalists at
- 5:32Speaker 1: the press conference try to push back on Trump. Say,
- 5:34Speaker 1: how can you know that it's diversity, equity, and inclusion?
- 5:37Speaker 1: Seems a little premature. Seems a little blame game. Not nice.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Bad Trump. Shame on you. The investigation isn't over yet.
- 5:50Speaker 1: And Trump did not play this game with them. Trump
- 5:53Speaker 1: just shut them down. Take a listen.
- 5:56Speaker 5: It's all under investigation.
- 5:58Speaker 6: I understand that.
- 5:59Speaker 7: That's why I'm trying to figure out how you can
- 6:01Speaker 7: come to the conclusion right now that diversity had something
- 6:04Speaker 7: to do with this crash.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Because I have common sense, okay?
- 6:08Speaker 8: And unfortunately, a lot.
- 6:10Speaker 5: Of people don't.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Yeah, he's right. That's our president. An amazing response. Because
- 6:16Speaker 1: I have common sense. And also, I just want to add,
- 6:19Speaker 1: he's out there. He's fielding questions from a lot of
- 6:22Speaker 1: hostile journalists. And If this were Biden, you will know
- 6:28Speaker 1: we'd have nothing. Maybe an impersonal statement written by a
- 6:33Speaker 1: bunch of bureaucrats, Biden would have nothing to do with it.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Never would the whole weekend at Bernie's presidency that we
- 6:41Speaker 1: just had hold a press conference, no teleprompter, just fielding
- 6:46Speaker 1: unvetted questions from the media. It's just Trump. Trump will
- 6:50Speaker 1: do that. And he also is so raw and honest.
- 6:54Speaker 1: The way that he handled that question was perfect. He's
- 6:57Speaker 1: not playing the game. DEI is indeed poisoning this government.
- 7:01Speaker 1: It throws merit out the window and creates a situation
- 7:03Speaker 1: where we're not being led by the best and the brightest.
- 7:05Speaker 1: And Trump is absolutely correct. Democrats have put Americans' lives
- 7:09Speaker 1: at risk by choosing to prioritize diversity over merit. And frankly,
- 7:14Speaker 1: it's shocking to me that we haven't had more crashes since.
- 7:18Speaker 1: considering how backward this hiring process is. Do you want
- 7:20Speaker 1: to see who was in charge of Biden's FAA DEI?
- 7:24Speaker 1: It's a guy named John Benison. Here's a picture of him.
- 7:30Speaker 1: If you're listening, this man is blind, gay, and albino.
- 7:36Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 7:38Speaker 1: This is who was dictating diversity quotas and targeting the
- 7:41Speaker 1: most victimized in society to join the FAA. And it's
- 7:47Speaker 1: not just the government. Here's a statement from American Airlines
- 7:50Speaker 1: CEO Robert Isom. At American Airlines, embedding diversity, equity, and
- 7:56Speaker 1: inclusion in all we do is critical to our success
- 7:59Speaker 1: in making culture a competitive advantage and creating the best
- 8:03Speaker 1: airline for our customers. We will continue to recruit, develop,
- 8:06Speaker 1: and retain the best and the brightest talent with diverse
- 8:10Speaker 1: backgrounds to help us innovate and build deeper connections with
- 8:14Speaker 1: all who fly with us. We're proud of the strides
- 8:16Speaker 1: we've made in DEI and recognize there's always much more
- 8:19Speaker 1: work to be done. Progress is made through intention, investment,
- 8:23Speaker 1: and actions. And that's our focus on the journey ahead.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I don't want diversity when I'm flying. I don't care
- 8:36Speaker 1: if she's another Hispanic woman who looks like me. I
- 8:38Speaker 1: don't care. I just want to know that this person
- 8:41Speaker 1: is competent when they're flying an airplane. So we don't die.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I mean, I just, it should never be a qualifier.
- 8:53Speaker 1: We should never have quotas based on immutable qualities for positions,
- 8:58Speaker 1: for any position, but especially for positions where you are
- 9:02Speaker 1: holding people's lives in your hand. That includes traffic controllers.
- 9:06Speaker 1: That includes pilots. And I'm not saying that this is
- 9:09Speaker 1: American Airlines' fault or the FAA or the helicopter pilot.
- 9:13Speaker 1: We don't know. This is still under investigation. But what
- 9:17Speaker 1: we do know is that the FAA, corporate America, and
- 9:19Speaker 1: frankly the military too have all been infested with DEI,
- 9:22Speaker 1: making us all less safe. Somebody said, South Park couldn't
- 9:26Speaker 1: have made a worse character. And it's referring to this albino, gay,
- 9:33Speaker 1: blind DEI coordinator. I mean, yes, it's a joke. You
- 9:38Speaker 1: feel like you're living in the upside down. And people
- 9:41Speaker 1: always say like, oh, Trump, he's so crazy. He's so unconventional.
- 9:44Speaker 1: It's like, I don't know. It seems like everybody is.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Because if you look at the other side, we were
- 9:49Speaker 1: living in like La La Land here, putting people in
- 9:52Speaker 1: positions of power based off of how brown and gay
- 9:57Speaker 1: they were. And brown and gay people can serve. fly
- 10:00Speaker 1: airplanes and be air traffic controllers, but we shouldn't hire
- 10:04Speaker 1: you because you're brown and gay. It doesn't make any sense.
- 10:10Speaker 1: And Trump is not waiting around to state the obvious.
- 10:12Speaker 1: He's not playing politics. He's putting, he's not putting out
- 10:16Speaker 1: these nonsense statements. He's not leaning on the bureaucracy to
- 10:19Speaker 1: do what it does He's transparent with the public about
- 10:21Speaker 1: what he's thinking. He validates all of our feelings, all
- 10:24Speaker 1: of our concerns, and it's obvious that he's on our side.
- 10:28Speaker 1: That's what feels different about Trump. He's just being honest.
- 10:32Speaker 1: He's telling you what's happening as it's happening. He is
- 10:36Speaker 1: validating all of our concerns, and he's not acting like
- 10:39Speaker 1: he's trying to hide something, which is usually how people respond,
- 10:44Speaker 1: especially in the government, when something like this happens. Here
- 10:48Speaker 1: was my dad yesterday echoing the president's sentiments.
- 10:51Speaker 5: When we deal with safety, we can only accept the
- 10:54Speaker 5: best and the brightest in positions of safety that impact
- 10:59Speaker 5: the lives of our loved ones, our family members. And
- 11:02Speaker 5: I think you make a really important point on that, Mr.
- 11:04Speaker 6: President.
- 11:05Speaker 5: That is the motto of your presidency, the best and
- 11:07Speaker 5: the brightest, the most intelligent coming into these spaces. I
- 11:11Speaker 5: want to take a moment and extend my condolences to
- 11:15Speaker 5: the families of the loved ones. We commit to them
- 11:19Speaker 5: that we are going to get to the bottom of
- 11:21Speaker 5: this investigation, not in three years, not in four years,
- 11:24Speaker 5: but as quickly as possible with the NTSB who is
- 11:27Speaker 5: here today, as well as the FAA. What happened yesterday
- 11:31Speaker 5: shouldn't have happened. It should not have happened. And when
- 11:35Speaker 5: Americans take off in airplanes, they should expect to land
- 11:39Speaker 5: at their destination. That didn't happen yesterday. That's unacceptable. And
- 11:44Speaker 5: so we will not accept excuses. We will not accept
- 11:50Speaker 5: passing the buck. We are going to take responsibility at
- 11:54Speaker 5: the Department of Transportation and the FAA to make sure
- 11:57Speaker 5: we have the reforms that have been dictated by President
- 11:59Speaker 5: Trump in place to make sure that these mistakes do
- 12:03Speaker 5: not happen again. And again, I want to thank you
- 12:05Speaker 5: for your leadership, Mr.
- 12:06Speaker 1: President.
- 12:07Speaker 5: And I appreciate the confidence.
- 12:10Speaker 6: You placed in me.
- 12:11Speaker 10: Thank you.
- 12:13Speaker 1: So by the way, you guys, just to context here.
- 12:16Speaker 1: He's running on no sleep. He has been up all day,
- 12:20Speaker 1: all hours of the night. Before I was in DC,
- 12:23Speaker 1: I'm back here in Florida obviously now. And yesterday I
- 12:27Speaker 1: was in the hotel room getting ready, packing. He came in,
- 12:31Speaker 1: he was like, I'm coming in, I'm going to sleep
- 12:33Speaker 1: like two and a half hours and then I'm going
- 12:35Speaker 1: back out. He is working around the clock to figure
- 12:40Speaker 1: out what's going on, but not just to figure out
- 12:42Speaker 1: what happened investigation wise, but okay, what reforms do we
- 12:46Speaker 1: need to have to make sure this never happens again
- 12:49Speaker 1: based off of the results of this investigation? So he's
- 12:52Speaker 1: working around the clock. I know Pete is too. The president,
- 12:55Speaker 1: everybody is on their feet with this admin. And if
- 12:59Speaker 1: you can imagine, it's been a pretty tough week for
- 13:01Speaker 1: tough first week, tough first couple of days for him.
- 13:04Speaker 1: He just became transportation secretary. You have the worst mid-air
- 13:09Speaker 1: flight crash in the last 23 years. So Prayers are
- 13:15Speaker 1: always welcome. And my dad is working to implement Trump's orders. Yesterday,
- 13:21Speaker 1: the president signed a memorandum ordering an immediate assessment of
- 13:26Speaker 1: aviation safety and ordering an evaluation of competence over DEI.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Take a listen.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Second for your signature, we have a presidential memorandum titled
- 13:35Speaker 3: Immediate Assessment of Aviation Safety. In light of the damage
- 13:39Speaker 3: done to aviation safety by the Biden administration's DEI and
- 13:44Speaker 3: woke policies, what this presidential memorandum orders is for your
- 13:48Speaker 3: Secretary of Transportation and FAA administrator, in this case, acting
- 13:52Speaker 3: FAA administrator, to basically ensure that we are actively undoing
- 13:57Speaker 3: all of that damage, that we are assessing how much
- 14:00Speaker 3: damage was done, and that we're ensuring that people hired
- 14:03Speaker 3: within the FAA, in keeping with your memorandum of January 21st,
- 14:08Speaker 3: are only the most outstanding, capable people for the jobs
- 14:11Speaker 3: that they are being hired into.
- 14:13Speaker 5: In other words, competence.
- 14:14Speaker 10: Yes, sir.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Elevating competence over everything else instead of the DEI policies
- 14:20Speaker 3: that were pursued by the Biden administration.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I think everyone understands that.
- 14:28Speaker 2: And Obama.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Yes. Both of them. Okay.
- 14:32Speaker 2: But Biden, much worse.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Not even a contest.
- 14:35Speaker 2: What they've done is just crazy. in so many other ways.
- 14:37Speaker 7: Okay?
- 14:42Speaker 1: I love he's, and Obama, but Biden's much worse. But
- 14:45Speaker 1: it's crazy with these people. I mean, it's just, he's
- 14:47Speaker 1: so real. That's what people love about this admin right now.
- 14:50Speaker 1: You have Tom Homan, you have Pete Hegseth, and all
- 14:56Speaker 1: of them working to be extremely transparent with the public.
- 15:00Speaker 1: They're going on TV, they're doing their own videos, they're
- 15:04Speaker 1: constantly posting on social media. And not just posting nothing, right?
- 15:07Speaker 1: I mean, they're giving updates. What is the work that
- 15:09Speaker 1: I'm doing? What am I learning? What are the numbers
- 15:12Speaker 1: for deportations? And keeping us in the loop. So we
- 15:16Speaker 1: actually are having a government that is accountable to the people,
- 15:23Speaker 1: that is transparent with the people. We just have never
- 15:26Speaker 1: seen something like this. And there's been a lot of
- 15:29Speaker 1: talk about how.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Trump is picking these people who are unqualified. They're all
- 15:36Speaker 1: in media, so they have no relevancy to government. My dad, Pete,
- 15:42Speaker 1: is a former combat veteran. My dad is a former
- 15:45Speaker 1: member of Congress for a long time. So the assertion
- 15:51Speaker 1: is kind of silly that these people are completely unqualified.
- 15:54Speaker 1: They've never worked in government before. But they also are
- 15:57Speaker 1: media savvy. And I think that was on purpose by Trump.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I think he wanted to pick people who could communicate
- 16:02Speaker 1: with the American people because that was really important with him.
- 16:04Speaker 1: People who were on board with his vision, who were
- 16:07Speaker 1: going to go in and change things, and also people
- 16:10Speaker 1: who could communicate with the public because that's super important
- 16:13Speaker 1: to Trump. Trump is somebody who understands the power of
- 16:17Speaker 1: media and the amount of trust that it can build
- 16:21Speaker 1: with the public if you are able to use it well.
- 16:24Speaker 1: So I don't know. I think that there's something to
- 16:27Speaker 1: be said for the picks that he's had. And to
- 16:29Speaker 1: have somebody in these positions of power, to have a
- 16:32Speaker 1: secretary who has always been a swamp creature, you let
- 16:37Speaker 1: the bureaucracy become more monstrous when you do that. You
- 16:41Speaker 1: have somebody from the outside come in. This is exactly
- 16:43Speaker 1: what Trump did with the presidency, right? He's a complete outsider.
- 16:46Speaker 1: He comes in and you start to see real change.
- 16:49Speaker 1: So I'm never somebody who cares about how many years
- 16:53Speaker 1: you've been in the federal bureaucracy. I don't think that
- 16:55Speaker 1: that's a sign of how good you will be at
- 16:57Speaker 1: the job. And I think actually it's better to have
- 16:59Speaker 1: people on the outside who are on board with the mandate.
- 17:03Speaker 1: As Dan says, cutesy time is over. Cutesy time is over. Repeatedly,
- 17:09Speaker 1: my dad has been going over everything that Pete Buttigieg
- 17:14Speaker 1: has done. This is not... exactly related to this plane crash,
- 17:18Speaker 1: but he also has abolished Buttigieg's Transportation Equity Committee, which
- 17:24Speaker 1: was formed to help make roads less racist. Yes, that's
- 17:28Speaker 1: a real thing. One more thing, the president was asked
- 17:31Speaker 1: another idiotic question at this presser in the Oval Office.
- 17:35Speaker 1: And again, he had just a great response. Take a listen.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Do you have a plan.
- 17:39Speaker 6: To go visit the site?
- 17:41Speaker 2: I have a plan to visit, not the site, because.
- 17:45Speaker 2: You tell me, what's the site?
- 17:46Speaker 1: The water? Do you want me to go swimming?
- 17:49Speaker 2: I don't have a plan to do that, but I
- 17:51Speaker 2: will be meeting with some people that were very badly
- 17:54Speaker 2: hurt with their family member, obviously, but I'll be meeting
- 17:57Speaker 2: with some of.
- 17:57Speaker 8: The families, yeah.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Do you want me to go swimming? It's so awesome.
- 18:03Speaker 1: And Trump, of course, is meeting with the families, but
- 18:05Speaker 1: the crash site is the water, and everything's cleared up now,
- 18:10Speaker 1: so I don't know what that question was about.
- 18:12Speaker 6: All right.
- 18:12Speaker 1: I want to come back to the conference for a
- 18:14Speaker 1: moment because Mary Margaret Olihan from The Daily Wire asked
- 18:17Speaker 1: a really important and I think relevant question of the
- 18:21Speaker 1: president that is a really good segue for us. Take
- 18:24Speaker 1: a listen.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Is it helpful to.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Have your secretary of transportation confirmed?
- 18:28Speaker 10: And does this intensify your interest in getting other nominees
- 18:31Speaker 10: confirmed quickly as well?
- 18:32Speaker 8: Well, sure.
- 18:32Speaker 2: We want fast confirmations. And the Democrats, as you know,
- 18:36Speaker 2: are doing everything they can to delay them. They've taken
- 18:39Speaker 2: too long. We're We're struggling to get very good people
- 18:44Speaker 2: that everybody knows are going to be confirmed, but we're
- 18:46Speaker 2: struggling to get them out faster. We want them out faster.
- 18:50Speaker 2: It's a good question, actually. We've been pushing Sean. Everyone
- 18:55Speaker 2: knows Sean for a long time. He got many, many
- 18:58Speaker 2: Democrat votes, but they want to take as long as
- 19:01Speaker 2: they can. They ask questions like some of the questions
- 19:03Speaker 2: that Peter would ask. that were totally irrelevant and not
- 19:07Speaker 2: very good questions, but they want to just keep it going.
- 19:10Speaker 2: They want to keep it going as long as possible.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I was very honored, actually, that you got so many
- 19:15Speaker 2: Democrat votes.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Really good. The Peter that he's referring to is Peter
- 19:20Speaker 1: Alexander from CBS, who asked the question about DEI. And
- 19:25Speaker 1: I just can't with this president. So all of America,
- 19:29Speaker 1: he just goes, the questions that Peter would ask that
- 19:33Speaker 1: are totally irrelevant, like he's just, public to everybody like
- 19:38Speaker 1: he's just hilarious but also it's a serious point can
- 19:41Speaker 1: you all imagine if my dad and Pete Hexeth hadn't
- 19:45Speaker 1: been confirmed yet where would we be right now? What
- 19:48Speaker 1: kind of leadership would we have in the midst of
- 19:51Speaker 1: this crisis? We had some interim running DOT in the Pentagon.
- 19:58Speaker 1: You can't run an administration like that. Trump's nominees need
- 20:01Speaker 1: to get confirmed ASAP. And the reason they are taking
- 20:04Speaker 1: so long is because Democrats and even some Republicans are
- 20:07Speaker 1: purposely slow walking the paperwork. They want to hinder Trump's
- 20:10Speaker 1: first 100 days by keeping his team incomplete for as
- 20:13Speaker 1: long as possible. It's a strategy. It needs to end.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Trump has a mandate. The people elected him get his
- 20:20Speaker 1: nominees confirmed. We have a majority in the Senate. There's
- 20:23Speaker 1: no excuses. I want to get to these confirmation hearings
- 20:29Speaker 1: because total minstrel shows they're just absolutely ridiculous. I frankly
- 20:32Speaker 1: think there needs to be some changes to these hearings because,
- 20:37Speaker 1: like I said, they are Frank, they're just absurd at
- 20:40Speaker 1: this point. They're absurd. The amount of mudslinging and just
- 20:45Speaker 1: terrible questions being asked, how condescending it is. Just do
- 20:49Speaker 1: the vote. Let's just do a vote. Like, why do
- 20:50Speaker 1: we have to go through this whole, okay. The point is,
- 20:53Speaker 1: Kash Patel was slammed, as to be expected yesterday. Knives
- 20:58Speaker 1: were out. Senator Amy Klobuchar accused Kash of having no
- 21:01Speaker 1: respect for the men and women of the FBI or
- 21:03Speaker 1: for the office that he plans to hold. And she
- 21:06Speaker 1: defended profusely failed FBI director Christopher Wray because Wray boosted
- 21:13Speaker 1: recruitment under his watch. That's her argument, that because he
- 21:15Speaker 1: boosted recruitment, therefore he's so amazing, he's so great, not
- 21:19Speaker 1: mentioning at all how the FBI has essentially become the
- 21:22Speaker 1: political enforcement arm of the Democratic Party, and there was
- 21:25Speaker 1: a strategic interest in increasing the number of agents in
- 21:28Speaker 1: the FBI. And Cash, he's great. Clearly a high IQ man.
- 21:32Speaker 1: He had a perfect response.
- 21:34Speaker 6: Do you know that under Chris Wray's leadership, he took
- 21:37Speaker 6: over at a very difficult time, we all know that,
- 21:39Speaker 6: appointed by President Trump, that during his tenure, the applications
- 21:45Speaker 6: to the FBI has, in fact, tripled? Do you think
- 21:49Speaker 6: people would be applying to that agency, like in those numbers,
- 21:52Speaker 6: if they thought it was so corrupt?
- 21:55Speaker 10: The American public's trust in it is at 40%. That's
- 21:58Speaker 10: an all-time low.
- 21:59Speaker 6: Did you say that.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Pretty solid point, I'd say. Public doesn't trust the FBI
- 22:06Speaker 1: because it threw non-violent January Sixers on no-fly lists in
- 22:09Speaker 1: solitary confinement, put pro-lifers in federal prison, spied on traditional Catholics,
- 22:15Speaker 1: dubbed parents at school board meetings domestic terrorists. Here's Senator
- 22:20Speaker 1: Alex Padilla trying to force cash to say that firearm
- 22:23Speaker 1: background checks are unconstitutional. And again, this gets to my
- 22:27Speaker 1: point about how these questions are really stupid and performative
- 22:31Speaker 1: and silly and again, Cash just had a good response.
- 22:38Speaker 7: Thank you, Mr. Chair.
- 22:41Speaker 11: Mr.
- 22:41Speaker 8: Patel, do you believe that background checks for firearm purchases
- 22:46Speaker 8: are constitutional?
- 22:50Speaker 10: I don't know the in-depths of it, but I think
- 22:52Speaker 10: that's what the Supreme Court has said, Senator.
- 22:54Speaker 7: So the word would be Y-E-S, yes.
- 22:58Speaker 6: Can you say yes, are background checks constitutional?
- 23:02Speaker 10: I can say whatever the Constitution of the Supreme Court
- 23:04Speaker 10: ruled is the rule of the land.
- 23:07Speaker 1: And that was like not enough for him. He was
- 23:09Speaker 1: super angry about that response. It's not on Cash to
- 23:12Speaker 1: decide what's constitutional. So why is that a question being asked?
- 23:15Speaker 1: That's what SCOTUS does. Cash's opinion is irrelevant on that question.
- 23:21Speaker 1: As long as he says what the courts say is
- 23:23Speaker 1: the law of the land, fine. Done deal. The courts,
- 23:28Speaker 1: by the way, can overturn previous rulings. So why would
- 23:32Speaker 1: Cash say anything other than that the court's most recent
- 23:35Speaker 1: decision is what's relevant to the law of the land,
- 23:38Speaker 1: what's relevant in the law of the land? It's not
- 23:41Speaker 1: a relevant FBI director question, and obviously it was meant
- 23:44Speaker 1: to be a trap, and Cash refused to play that game.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Any thoughts on this, Michael? Michael's very passionate about gun laws,
- 23:53Speaker 1: and Michael says it's completely unconstitutional.
- 23:56Speaker 7: No, no.
- 23:59Speaker 1: He says, shall not be infringed, should not be confusing.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Second Amendment. Michael is a Second Amendment enjoyer, as Guy
- 24:06Speaker 1: would say. And yeah, I mean, I think Cash was
- 24:10Speaker 1: right to not try to answer that question on a
- 24:12Speaker 1: personal basis because it doesn't matter what Cash thinks. He's
- 24:16Speaker 1: going to enforce the law of the land that was
- 24:18Speaker 1: decided by the Supreme Court. Hopefully, another court will overturn
- 24:21Speaker 1: that terrible ruling. We'll see. All right, another important moment
- 24:26Speaker 1: was when Senator Marsha Blackburn asked Cash whether he would
- 24:29Speaker 1: release the Jeffrey Epstein client list. Take a listen.
- 24:34Speaker 12: And I know that breaking up these trafficking rings is
- 24:37Speaker 12: important to President Trump. So will you work with me
- 24:41Speaker 12: on this issue so we know who worked with Jeffrey
- 24:45Speaker 12: Epstein in building these sex trafficking rings?
- 24:49Speaker 10: Absolutely, Senator. Child sex trafficking has no place in the
- 24:53Speaker 10: United States of America. And I will do everything, if
- 24:56Speaker 10: confirmed as FBI director, to make sure the American public
- 24:59Speaker 10: knows the full weight of what happened in the past
- 25:02Speaker 10: and how we are going to countermand missing children and
- 25:04Speaker 10: exploited children going forward.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Marsha Blackburn has been excellent on Jeffrey Epstein. She's one
- 25:11Speaker 1: of the only people in Congress who still seems to
- 25:14Speaker 1: care about Jeffrey Epstein and who killed himself and the
- 25:18Speaker 1: young women that he exploited, young girls that he exploited.
- 25:22Speaker 1: I think she's frankly the only one in the Senate
- 25:24Speaker 1: who seems to care. And we have to keep an
- 25:27Speaker 1: eye on this question. I liked Cash's response. I think
- 25:30Speaker 1: it was excellent. But there are going to be a
- 25:31Speaker 1: lot of people, a lot of powerful people who don't
- 25:35Speaker 1: want those names released. Trump's new commerce secretary, billionaire Howard Lutnick,
- 25:41Speaker 1: the former head of Cantor Fitzgerald, used to be next
- 25:44Speaker 1: door neighbors with Jeffrey Epstein in New York City. And
- 25:48Speaker 1: I'm not suggesting that Howard is an Epstein client. It
- 25:51Speaker 1: just goes to show how well connected Epstein was. Everybody
- 25:55Speaker 1: encountered him. Everybody knew him. That was part of Epstein's job, right?
- 25:58Speaker 1: He sought out anybody who was anybody and made contact
- 26:02Speaker 1: with them. Now, Trump famously encountered Jeffrey Epstein, knew the guy.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Trump famously didn't like Jeffrey Epstein. But my point here
- 26:13Speaker 1: is that there will be a lot of pressure on
- 26:16Speaker 1: Trump and on cash from people who have a lot
- 26:19Speaker 1: of wealth and a lot of power to drop Epstein disclosure.
- 26:22Speaker 1: I think there's a reason why we had full disclosure
- 26:25Speaker 1: on RFK, JFK, MLK. We haven't heard from Epstein yet.
- 26:31Speaker 1: We have to keep pushing for that. All right, let's
- 26:33Speaker 1: talk about Tulsi Gabbard. I want to start with her
- 26:36Speaker 1: brilliant opening statement. She turned this whole thing on the
- 26:41Speaker 1: failed intel agencies, and she did it beautifully. She set
- 26:44Speaker 1: the tone for this hearing right away. This is the
- 26:47Speaker 1: closing of her opening statement.
- 26:50Speaker 9: Before I close, I want to warn the American people
- 26:52Speaker 9: who are watching at home. You may hear lies and
- 26:55Speaker 9: smears in this hearing that will challenge my loyalty to
- 26:58Speaker 9: and my love for our country. Those who oppose my
- 27:02Speaker 9: nomination imply that I am loyal to something or someone
- 27:07Speaker 9: other than God, my own conscience, and the Constitution of
- 27:11Speaker 9: the United States. Accusing me of being Trump's puppet, Putin's puppet,
- 27:16Speaker 9: Assad's puppet, a guru's puppet, Modi's puppet, not recognizing the
- 27:21Speaker 9: absurdity of simultaneously being the puppet of five different puppet masters.
- 27:28Speaker 9: The same tactic was used against President Trump and failed.
- 27:33Speaker 9: The American people elected President Trump with a decisive victory
- 27:36Speaker 9: and mandate for change. The fact is what truly unsettles
- 27:41Speaker 9: my political opponents is I refuse to be their puppet.
- 27:49Speaker 1: I mean, it was just beautifully done. The senators did
- 27:55Speaker 1: not ask Tulsi in this hearing about China or about terrorism.
- 28:00Speaker 1: And instead, they did exactly what Tulsi predicted that they would,
- 28:05Speaker 1: accuse her of being a treacherous asset to a foreign dictator.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Take a listen.
- 28:13Speaker 11: My concern has to do with the tendency to repeat
- 28:20Speaker 11: Russian and Syrian, and even in some cases, I think
- 28:24Speaker 11: we'll get into in the closed session, Iranian information, and
- 28:28Speaker 11: to discount what comes from our intelligence community.
- 28:32Speaker 9: Senator, every American deserves to know that people in our
- 28:35Speaker 9: own government were providing support to our sworn enemy, al-Qaeda.
- 28:40Speaker 9: That should not be acceptable by anyone.
- 28:44Speaker 1: She has consistently refused to promote intelligence American intelligence propaganda
- 28:51Speaker 1: meant to deceive the American people. In other words, she's
- 28:55Speaker 1: refused to lie to the American people on behalf of
- 28:57Speaker 1: the deep state. And that is why they hate her.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Here is Tulsi actually laying out how Obama turned armed, Al-Qaeda,
- 29:05Speaker 1: the guys who were told killed countless Americans in 9-11
- 29:09Speaker 1: and later American service members in the war in the
- 29:11Speaker 1: Middle East, wars in the Middle East. And she's saying
- 29:16Speaker 1: things that, again, they're true. She's laying out how corrupt
- 29:22Speaker 1: and backward our intel agency's policy is, implemented by Obama
- 29:26Speaker 1: in this case, and most Americans have never even heard
- 29:29Speaker 1: of it until Tulsi Gabbard just said it in this clip.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Let's play it.
- 29:34Speaker 9: Senator, as someone who enlisted in the military specifically because
- 29:39Speaker 9: of Al Qaeda's terrorist attack on 9-11 and committing myself
- 29:44Speaker 9: and my life to doing what I could to defeat
- 29:48Speaker 9: these terrorists, it was shocking and a betrayal to me
- 29:52Speaker 9: and every person who was killed on 9-11, their families
- 29:55Speaker 9: and my brothers and sisters in uniform. when as a
- 29:58Speaker 9: member of Congress I learned about President Obama's dual programs
- 30:04Speaker 9: that he had begun really to overthrow the regime of
- 30:08Speaker 9: Syria and being willing to, through the CIA's Timber Sycamore
- 30:14Speaker 9: program that has now been made public, of working with
- 30:19Speaker 9: and arming and equipping Al-Qaeda in an effort to overthrow
- 30:23Speaker 9: that regime, starting yet another regime change war in the
- 30:26Speaker 9: Middle East. DOD train and equip program, again begun under
- 30:31Speaker 9: President Obama, is widely been known, looked at, and studied
- 30:35Speaker 9: that ultimately resulted in over half a billion dollars being
- 30:39Speaker 9: used to train who they called moderate rebels but were
- 30:43Speaker 9: actually fighters working with and aligned with Al Qaeda's affiliate
- 30:47Speaker 9: on the ground in Syria, all to move forward with
- 30:51Speaker 9: their regime change and not acknowledging what was obvious at
- 30:54Speaker 9: the time and what has unfortunately borne true, which was
- 30:58Speaker 9: that a regime change war in Syria, much like the
- 31:01Speaker 9: regime change wars in Iraq, the toppling of Gaddafi and Mubarak,
- 31:05Speaker 9: while these are all dictators, would likely result in the
- 31:08Speaker 9: rise of Islamist extremists like Al-Qaeda taking power. I shed
- 31:14Speaker 9: no tears for the fall of the Assad regime, but
- 31:17Speaker 9: today we have an Islamist extremist who is now in
- 31:21Speaker 9: charge of Syria, as I said, who danced on the
- 31:25Speaker 9: streets to celebrate the 9-11 attack, who ruled over Idlib
- 31:30Speaker 9: with an Islamist extremist governance. and who has already begun
- 31:35Speaker 9: to persecute and kill and arrest religious minorities like Christians
- 31:39Speaker 9: in Syria. Why that should be acceptable to anyone is
- 31:42Speaker 9: beyond me. It is certainly not in our interests.
- 31:46Speaker 1: It was so well put. The CIA was running an
- 31:50Speaker 1: op to arm Islamists in Syria, the same guys who
- 31:53Speaker 1: did 9-11. Today, to the delight of the deep state,
- 31:58Speaker 1: those Islamic extremists are now running Syria after overthrowing Assad.
- 32:04Speaker 1: And just as Tulsi has been predicting for years, the
- 32:08Speaker 1: Islamic terrorist replacements of Assad are prosecuting Christians. Our government,
- 32:14Speaker 1: along with Turkey and Israel, has, and just a few
- 32:18Speaker 1: months ago did, fund a regime change in Syria. And
- 32:23Speaker 1: they wanted to do this, I believe, right before Trump
- 32:26Speaker 1: took office, because they knew he wouldn't let them carry
- 32:28Speaker 1: it out. Terrorists, are now running the country and Christians
- 32:33Speaker 1: are being slaughtered. And how is this worth American tax dollars?
- 32:38Speaker 1: First of all, it's spitting on the legacy of the
- 32:42Speaker 1: countless service members who risked their lives and some of
- 32:46Speaker 1: whom actually did give up their lives for America's war
- 32:50Speaker 1: on terrorists, allegedly in response to 9-11, were funding those
- 32:54Speaker 1: same people to stage regime change. Why is the intelligence
- 32:59Speaker 1: community hell-bent on destabilizing the Middle East, taking out all
- 33:03Speaker 1: of Iran's allies as war hawks in America and in Israel,
- 33:08Speaker 1: or calling for open conflict with Iran? Again, something that
- 33:12Speaker 1: would not benefit or even concern America, who's on the
- 33:16Speaker 1: other side of the world. Tulsi isn't feeding the war machine.
- 33:21Speaker 1: She was once a cudgel of it. She served her country.
- 33:25Speaker 1: She doesn't take war lightly. Most importantly, she's honest with
- 33:29Speaker 1: the American people. It's obvious that she wants transparency. No
- 33:33Speaker 1: more illegal spying. No more secrets meant to protect national security,
- 33:37Speaker 1: but meant to not protect national security, but instead protect
- 33:41Speaker 1: criminals and the intelligence apparatus. At one point, the senators
- 33:46Speaker 1: tried to force Tulsi to say that Edward Snowden is
- 33:48Speaker 1: a traitor. Edward Snowden, as a reminder, lead classified NSA
- 33:52Speaker 1: documents in 2013, exposing global surveillance programs conducted by the
- 33:58Speaker 1: government that included the illegal targeting of U.S. citizens. Take
- 34:02Speaker 1: a listen.
- 34:03Speaker 7: Was Edward Snowden a traitor to the United States of America?
- 34:08Speaker 9: Senator, I will also repeat my answer. He broke the law.
- 34:12Speaker 7: You said earlier that you were offended by a question
- 34:15Speaker 7: that my colleague from Kansas asked, which I think was
- 34:18Speaker 7: his duty as somebody on this committee to fulfill his responsibilities.
- 34:25Speaker 7: to advise and consent. We are not here to be
- 34:27Speaker 7: a rubber stamp for the president of the United States.
- 34:30Speaker 7: So let me ask you again, do you believe, as
- 34:34Speaker 7: the chairman of this committee believes, as the vast majority
- 34:38Speaker 7: of members of our intelligence agencies believe, that Edward Snowden
- 34:42Speaker 7: was a traitor to the United States of America? Senator,
- 34:46Speaker 7: I've confirmed as director of National Intelligence. This is when
- 34:48Speaker 7: the rubber hits the road. This is when you need
- 34:50Speaker 7: to answer the questions of the people whose votes you're
- 34:54Speaker 7: asking for. As my colleague said, this is not about you.
- 34:58Speaker 7: It's about the people that serve the intelligence agencies of
- 35:02Speaker 7: the United States. Is Edward Snowden a traitor to the
- 35:07Speaker 7: United States of America? That is not a hard question
- 35:12Speaker 7: to answer when the stakes are this high.
- 35:18Speaker 1: He's a traitor to the intelligence community, not America. Think
- 35:25Speaker 1: about how he was freaking out for the intelligence community.
- 35:32Speaker 1: You have to call him a traitor to validate the
- 35:36Speaker 1: feelings of the intelligence community. Nowhere does he talk about
- 35:40Speaker 1: the American people. Presumably, if Edward Snowden was truly a
- 35:43Speaker 1: traitor to this country and threatened national intelligence and national security,
- 35:48Speaker 1: then he should be screaming in defense of the American people.
- 35:53Speaker 1: But he wasn't. The senator was flipping out in defense
- 35:56Speaker 1: of the intelligence community. And I think that tells you
- 35:59Speaker 1: everything you need to know about him. Where are your priorities?
- 36:07Speaker 1: Edward Snowden exposed the U.S. government illegally spying and violating
- 36:10Speaker 1: the Constitution. Where is his outrage against that? Why is
- 36:17Speaker 1: he more upset that Edward Snowden exposed the government for
- 36:22Speaker 1: tearing up the Constitution and burning it It doesn't make
- 36:28Speaker 1: any sense. And it tells you about his priorities. Here's
- 36:34Speaker 1: my question for Senator Bennett. Are members of the intelligence
- 36:38Speaker 1: community traitors to America for tearing up the Constitution, treating
- 36:42Speaker 1: law-abiding citizens like domestic terrorists? And I have a feeling
- 36:46Speaker 1: that his answer would be no. They're not. I think
- 36:52Speaker 1: this man is unfit for office. I think he needs
- 36:55Speaker 1: to be taken out immediately. Clearly, his priorities are backwards.
- 36:58Speaker 1: doesn't care about defending the Constitution or the American people.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Here is something else that Tulsi did. She laid out
- 37:05Speaker 1: how the intelligence community committed essentially treason in its pursuit
- 37:09Speaker 1: of illegally taking out President Trump. Take a listen.
- 37:14Speaker 9: Here are just a few other examples. The American people
- 37:17Speaker 9: elected Donald Trump as their president not once but twice,
- 37:20Speaker 9: and yet the FBI and intelligence agencies were politicized by
- 37:24Speaker 9: his opponents to undermine his presidency and and falsely portray
- 37:28Speaker 9: him as a puppet of Putin. Title I of FISA
- 37:31Speaker 9: was used illegally to obtain a warrant to spy on
- 37:34Speaker 9: Trump campaign advisor Carter Page using a Clinton campaign-funded false
- 37:39Speaker 9: dossier as their so-called evidence. Biden campaign advisor Tony Blinken
- 37:45Speaker 9: was the impetus for the 51 former senior intelligence officials'
- 37:49Speaker 9: letter dismissing Hunter Biden's laptop as disinformation specifically to help
- 37:54Speaker 9: Biden win the election. Former DNI James Clapper lied to
- 37:59Speaker 9: this committee in 2013, denying the existence of programs that
- 38:03Speaker 9: facilitated the mass collection of millions of Americans' phone and
- 38:06Speaker 9: internet records, yet was never held accountable. Under John Brennan's leadership,
- 38:12Speaker 9: the CIA abused its power to spy on Congress, to
- 38:14Speaker 9: dodge oversight, lied about doing it until he was caught,
- 38:18Speaker 9: and yet has never been held responsible. Under Biden, the
- 38:23Speaker 9: FBI abused its power for political reasons to try to
- 38:25Speaker 9: surveil Catholics who attend traditional Latin mass, labeling them as
- 38:30Speaker 9: quote unquote radical traditionalist Catholics. Personally, just 24 hours after
- 38:36Speaker 9: I criticized Kamala Harris and her nomination, I was placed
- 38:39Speaker 9: on a secret domestic terror watch list called Quiet Skies. Sadly,
- 38:44Speaker 9: there are more examples. The bottom line is this. This
- 38:48Speaker 9: must end.
- 38:49Speaker 1: That's how you know that she's the right woman for
- 38:51Speaker 1: the job. Tulsi herself was put on a terror watch list.
- 38:55Speaker 1: She is a victim of the intelligence community. She's one
- 38:57Speaker 1: of us, a fellow victim, and she wants disclosure and reform.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Glenn Greenwald wrote on X that the Snowden interrogation is
- 39:07Speaker 1: the issue Senate Democrats invoked to attack Tulsi, and it,
- 39:11Speaker 1: along with her opposition to warrantless eavesdropping on Americans, are
- 39:15Speaker 1: their two primary lines of opposition to her nomination. Says
- 39:19Speaker 1: it all. All right, last story. President Donald Trump has
- 39:24Speaker 1: announced that the United States will impose a 25% tariff
- 39:26Speaker 1: on imports from Canada and Mexico. Trump is taking the
- 39:30Speaker 1: fentanyl trafficking across our borders very seriously as somebody who
- 39:35Speaker 1: has had family impacted by the open border drug crisis
- 39:41Speaker 1: by fentanyl. This is a very welcome difference from the
- 39:47Speaker 1: last admin. The tariff imposition is set to begin on Saturday,
- 39:52Speaker 1: and already the peso and Canadian dollar have dropped. And
- 39:56Speaker 1: I do believe this is necessary. John Daniel Davidson wrote
- 39:59Speaker 1: an excellent article in The Federalist. It's titled, It's Time
- 40:01Speaker 1: to Start Treating Mexico Like a Hostile Foreign Power. And
- 40:05Speaker 1: in it, John lays out how Mexico was complicit with
- 40:09Speaker 1: the drug cartels. The cartels installed Claudio Scheinbaum, president of Mexico,
- 40:16Speaker 1: by literally killing all of our opponents. The cartels run
- 40:20Speaker 1: the Mexican economy. The Mexican government is reliant on the cartels,
- 40:25Speaker 1: installed and controlled by the cartels. And Trump isn't going
- 40:27Speaker 1: to ally with the government aiding in the drug and
- 40:29Speaker 1: human trafficking crisis that is impacting this country. And yes,
- 40:33Speaker 1: drugs are also being trafficked through Canada. A lot of
- 40:35Speaker 1: people don't know that. It's less in Mexico, of course,
- 40:38Speaker 1: but it's still a huge problem. Per John, the U.S.
- 40:41Speaker 1: should unilaterally conduct cross-border operations to dismantle cartel networks, secure
- 40:46Speaker 1: the southern border, And treat Mexico as a narco state
- 40:51Speaker 1: rather than an ally. And it looks like Trump is
- 40:53Speaker 1: doing just that. Leadership. I want to come back to
- 40:59Speaker 1: Mayor Pete for a moment. Mayor Pete Buttigieg. Last night
- 41:03Speaker 1: I learned that Pete had quietly removed the pronouns from
- 41:07Speaker 1: his bio. Why would he do that? The very man
- 41:11Speaker 1: who championed DEI identity politics is now taking a step back.
- 41:18Speaker 1: deleting his pronouns from his bio, implicitly acknowledging what many
- 41:24Speaker 1: Americans I believe already know, that these policies don't work.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Mayor Pete even knows it. It's a quiet but a
- 41:33Speaker 1: powerful retreat. The failure of DEI isn't just ideological, it
- 41:38Speaker 1: is manifesting in real world consequences, especially in critical sectors
- 41:42Speaker 1: where competence should reign supreme. There were talks that Trump's
- 41:47Speaker 1: remarks were too harsh yesterday. I don't think that's true
- 41:51Speaker 1: at all. America is thirsting for that kind of frankness.
- 41:55Speaker 1: Pete acknowledged the air traffic controller shortage. It's likely that
- 42:00Speaker 1: the COVID mandate gutted the workforce. And an emphasis on
- 42:04Speaker 1: diversity over merit further strained an already weakened system. And
- 42:09Speaker 1: this isn't an isolated issue. It's a monster that's been
- 42:12Speaker 1: infecting our government agencies for years, since Obama. A systemic
- 42:17Speaker 1: failure has placed American lives at risk, and the consequences
- 42:21Speaker 1: are becoming harder to ignore. The president's call to restore
- 42:24Speaker 1: competence and refocus on national security is long overdue, and
- 42:28Speaker 1: like I said, it's welcome. The same rot infecting the
- 42:33Speaker 1: FAA is eroding our private institutions too. Look at that
- 42:36Speaker 1: American Airlines statement. And I'm glad that Trump is brave
- 42:40Speaker 1: and willing to acknowledge the damage done by DEI, identity politics,
- 42:45Speaker 1: misplaced priorities. And not only is he acknowledging it, but
- 42:49Speaker 1: he's doing something about it. He is undoing the rot
- 42:52Speaker 1: of years of failed Democrat leadership. All right, that is
- 42:59Speaker 1: all I have for you guys today. Thank you so
- 43:01Speaker 1: much for tuning in, bearing with me. I've not had
- 43:04Speaker 1: a lot of sleep the last few days, so I really,
- 43:07Speaker 1: really appreciate you guys still listening to the show, giving
- 43:10Speaker 1: me all of your feedback. I will be here next Monday.
- 43:14Speaker 4: The Dan Bongino Show.
- 43:16Speaker 8: I think a lot of people are underestimating the Trump
- 43:18Speaker 8: effect in this midterm. You've heard it yourself. Act like
- 43:22Speaker 8: I'm on the ballot. Why is he saying that? You
- 43:24Speaker 8: think he doesn't know what he's doing? That is the
- 43:27Speaker 8: X factor. Folks, elections are a math issue. That is it.
- 43:32Speaker 8: This is not a football game.
- 43:34Speaker 12: If you vote, we will win.
- 43:36Speaker 8: It is not complicated.
