- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time for us to
- 0:03Speaker 1: go to God in prayer. And as always I ask
- 0:06Speaker 1: that you join along with me in prayer. You know,
- 0:09Speaker 1: I look at all the chaos that's going on around
- 0:11Speaker 1: our nation. I see the turmoil. I see the protests,
- 0:16Speaker 1: I see the looting and the rioting. I see all
- 0:18Speaker 1: of the things. In my heart is disturbed. Yet us
- 0:22Speaker 1: pray for our nation. Heavenly Father, in the name of
- 0:25Speaker 1: Jesus Christ. We come to you with heavy hearts, wounded
- 0:28Speaker 1: by division, overwhelmed by unrest, and burdened by the sight
- 0:32Speaker 1: of our nation and utter chaos and turmoil. Lord, in
- 0:36Speaker 1: a time of riots, in a time of protest and chaos,
- 0:39Speaker 1: we ask you to draw near. Stretch out your hand,
- 0:42Speaker 1: O God, bring peace where there is violence, Clarity where
- 0:46Speaker 1: there's confusion, and truth where lies have taken root, and
- 0:50Speaker 1: cities filled with sirens and fear. Let your spirit hover,
- 0:54Speaker 1: bringing calm to the storm. We lift every soul protesting
- 0:58Speaker 1: in justice. May the voices be heard not in destruction, God,
- 1:02Speaker 1: but with dignity and purpose. Protect peaceful protesters, Protect the
- 1:07Speaker 1: law enforcement, Protect the bystanders and all caught in the tension.
- 1:13Speaker 1: God Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like
- 1:16Speaker 1: a mighty stream. God. Let anger be transformed into action
- 1:20Speaker 1: that beils, not burns. God, Lord, we especially lift up
- 1:23Speaker 1: those facing deportation, mothers, fathers, children who live daily in fear.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I'm sure of their tomorrow, their safety, or their belonging.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Afraid to go to work, afraid to go to school,
- 1:38Speaker 1: afraid to go to worship. God, you are the God
- 1:42Speaker 1: of the foreigner, the wonderer, and the refugee. Wrap them
- 1:46Speaker 1: God in your mercy. Open the hearts of the leaders
- 1:49Speaker 1: to choose compassion over cruelty, wisdom over reaction. Forgive us, Father,
- 1:55Speaker 1: for the ways that we've turned against each other. Forgive
- 1:58Speaker 1: us for hatred, forgive us for race greed, and forgive
- 2:01Speaker 1: us God for indifference. Tear down walls of division and
- 2:04Speaker 1: rebuild us one people under your sovereignty. Let the Church
- 2:09Speaker 1: rise not in silence or complacency, but in love and
- 2:13Speaker 1: truth and unity and with courage. Lord, we ask you
- 2:17Speaker 1: to guid our leaders local and national, to act with justice,
- 2:22Speaker 1: to speak with wisdom, and to lead with humility. God,
- 2:25Speaker 1: we pray for peace that only you can bring, Not
- 2:28Speaker 1: a peace that ignores pain, but one that heals it,
- 2:31Speaker 1: not a piece of silence, but a peace rooted in
- 2:34Speaker 1: truth and reconciliation. Lord, do what only you can do.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Heal our land. God, you nine our hearts, renew our hope,
- 2:43Speaker 1: and help us be agents of light in the darkest hours.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Oh Father God, you said, if your people, who are
- 2:50Speaker 1: called by your name, will humble ourselves and pray and
- 2:54Speaker 1: seek your face and turn from our wicked ways, God,
- 2:59Speaker 1: we'll hear from heaven and you would heal our lands
- 3:01Speaker 1: or heal our land,
