- 0:16Speaker 2: you know that you hate the holidays? No Amy is
- 0:20Speaker 2: shaking her head. She thinks she enjoys the holidays.
- 0:24Speaker 3: I do.
- 0:25Speaker 2: No, you don't, No, you don't. You were fooling yourself.
- 0:28Speaker 2: I'm telling you right now, and.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Now handle on the news. Ladies and gentlemen, here's Bill Handle.
- 0:38Speaker 4: Good morning everybody. Yep, it's that time of year. It
- 0:42Speaker 4: is now Tuesday, December twenty three. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve,
- 0:50Speaker 4: and then everybody is taking the day off. I don't
- 0:54Speaker 4: think anybody is working.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Well, we've got some. We have some people that are working.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Although well, Neil is working. He always does the Christmas day.
- 1:03Speaker 2: He also does Thanksgiving. But the rest of us were history,
- 1:07Speaker 2: right Cono, Yes, Oh, Usually you say I'm working, but okay, yeah, no,
- 1:15Speaker 2: I understand.
- 1:16Speaker 4: That's why I threw it to you.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Usually you say not working as I throw it to you,
- 1:21Speaker 2: and then I make fun of you, oh being solow
- 1:23Speaker 2: on the food chain, that you are forced to work, right,
- 1:27Speaker 2: that's not the case. This share well, anyway, Good morning,
- 1:30Speaker 2: there we are and Amy, good morning to you.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Good morning Bill.
- 1:36Speaker 2: You plan on going to Disneyland between the Christmas Day
- 1:41Speaker 2: and New Year's I might now? Why because it's going
- 1:45Speaker 2: to be drowned out and swept away and the lines
- 1:48Speaker 2: will be fairly short.
- 1:50Speaker 5: No, because I'm not Now, I'm now not traveling to
- 1:53Speaker 5: Orgon Oh because of the weather.
- 1:56Speaker 2: No, because of my cat, because the tickets were all
- 2:01Speaker 2: sold out for cats.
- 2:03Speaker 3: No.
- 2:03Speaker 5: I have a ticket for me to go, but my
- 2:07Speaker 5: cat is having some health issues and I cannot leave her.
- 2:10Speaker 3: She needs medication.
- 2:12Speaker 4: How old is a cat?
- 2:14Speaker 3: She's old. She's thirteen.
- 2:16Speaker 4: Oh it's time. Yeah, No, it is time. I'm gonna
- 2:20Speaker 4: make it.
- 2:20Speaker 2: I'm gonna make it really easy for you to go
- 2:23Speaker 2: to Oregon. Are you ready for this?
- 2:24Speaker 4: Would you like some handle on the law advice?
- 2:26Speaker 3: Nope?
- 2:31Speaker 4: Okay, Good morning Will, Good morning Bill. Okay. What team
- 2:38Speaker 4: is that?
- 2:38Speaker 2: That is the San Francisco forty nine Ers who won
- 2:41Speaker 2: decisively last night. Okay, I didn't watch much football last night.
- 2:45Speaker 2: I watched bits and pieces of it. All I know
- 2:48Speaker 2: is the Chargers and the Rams are a pretty good shape.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Do they have a chance of being in the Super
- 2:53Speaker 2: Bowl against each other. Is there a shot at that?
- 2:56Speaker 2: I don't know. Is that possible, Cono, you're a football guy,
- 3:00Speaker 2: big football. Is it possible? The Chargers, they would have
- 3:06Speaker 2: to play like in the super Bowl, That's what I'm saying.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Yes, they have to play in the Super Bowl.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Wouldn't that be fun?
- 3:16Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 3:17Speaker 2: That would be fine. There's there's a there's a bit
- 3:19Speaker 2: of traffic. Although where's the Super Bowl played this year?
- 3:22Speaker 4: I think in San Francisco? Now can you imagine?
- 3:25Speaker 2: Can you imagine the Rams and the Chargers playing at
- 3:30Speaker 2: so far for the Super Bowl?
- 3:32Speaker 4: Boy, would that be a perfect storm?
- 3:34Speaker 5: Huh Oh, it's not gonna happen this year because Cono's correct.
- 3:37Speaker 5: It's being played at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.
- 3:40Speaker 4: Okay, And there's Michelle. Good morning, Michelle, good morning.
- 3:45Speaker 2: And she's filling in for Ann and tomorrow is my
- 3:48Speaker 2: last day and comes back after the first of the year.
- 3:52Speaker 4: Also she is back on the fifth.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Yes, as I am. Okay, fair enough, And let me
- 4:00Speaker 2: see with the people. Amy is going to be sitting
- 4:04Speaker 2: shiva with her dead cat. Shiva is the Jewish funeral
- 4:10Speaker 2: rights that you stay at home for a week and
- 4:14Speaker 2: you cover the mirrors and you don't wear shoes. It's
- 4:18Speaker 2: very strange any part of any religion, this strange stuff.
- 4:22Speaker 5: So I think I'm going to pass on the Yeah,
- 4:25Speaker 5: you said, she my cat is alive, and well she
- 4:27Speaker 5: just needs medication on a regular basis.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Right, Okay, we'll see.
- 4:30Speaker 2: We're going to do a is a cat dead or
- 4:33Speaker 2: alive report for the rest of the holiday season. Fair enough, Okay,
- 4:39Speaker 2: I think, well, of course, of course that is okay.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Why what do we have it any other way? Nope, nope, okay.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Oh you know what, I was talking to Michelle, who
- 4:53Speaker 2: has known me. I mean Michelle, we've known each other
- 4:55Speaker 2: for thirty years. I think we've been working.
- 4:56Speaker 6: Together thirty thirty three years we've been working together.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I asked her, yesterday, Uh, did I reach new levels?
- 5:04Speaker 2: Yesterday was a day where I may have got over
- 5:07Speaker 2: over that line, I said, And I asked it, did
- 5:10Speaker 2: I reach new levels of dickiosity yesterday? And Michelle actually
- 5:15Speaker 2: said no, My dickishness was right along my normal lines.
- 5:19Speaker 6: Yeah, I did not notice an increase of dickishness yesterday.
- 5:25Speaker 6: Today it could be different, but I did not notice
- 5:27Speaker 6: it yesterday.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Any anybody else we can give marginal legally or marginal
- 5:34Speaker 2: veterinarian advice?
- 5:36Speaker 4: Will do you have a Do you have a pet?
- 5:38Speaker 2: No, they're all dead. Excellent, That's what I wanted to hear. Cono,
- 5:41Speaker 2: do you have a pet?
- 5:42Speaker 4: Nope? I got kids.
- 5:44Speaker 2: That's close, very close, yeah, very close. And I came
- 5:47Speaker 2: very and I came very close, many many times. And Michelle,
- 5:51Speaker 2: I know you've gone through a few pets, a big
- 5:53Speaker 2: part of your Familyine.
- 5:56Speaker 3: She's cute, very cute.
- 5:58Speaker 6: She's a finalist in the America's Favorite Pet contest, which
- 6:01Speaker 6: is going to start on January fifth.
- 6:03Speaker 4: So yeah, how do you get what is America's Favorite Pet?
- 6:06Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 6:06Speaker 6: It's just some contest where you can win ten thousand dollars.
- 6:09Speaker 6: And you know she'd be on the cover of Modern
- 6:11Speaker 6: Dog magazine.
- 6:13Speaker 4: I didn't know there was.
- 6:14Speaker 2: A Modern Dog magazine. Okay, we are okay right there, Michelle.
- 6:18Speaker 2: We are starting a new KFI event annually, and we're
- 6:22Speaker 2: gonna call it the last week that the pet is
- 6:25Speaker 2: alive and people can submit their pets or photos.
- 6:29Speaker 4: Of their pets, because of course.
- 6:31Speaker 2: You okay, all right, you guys ready to go. It
- 6:34Speaker 2: is definitely time for handle on the news. And man,
- 6:36Speaker 2: we have some news and it's weather news, and it
- 6:39Speaker 2: ain't fun news either. It is time for handle on
- 6:42Speaker 2: the news with Amy Neils dot here and me lead story.
- 6:48Speaker 2: And it's gonna be a tough one in terms of
- 6:51Speaker 2: the weather and the rains and the storms.
- 6:54Speaker 4: And I always defer to Amy. Give us the highlights please.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Okay, it's gonna rain really hard.
- 7:00Speaker 5: So we've got gusty winds expected, We've got rain expected
- 7:06Speaker 5: to start this afternoon. The heaviest of the rain's going
- 7:10Speaker 5: to be overnight and tomorrow morning. They're saying up to
- 7:12Speaker 5: an inch an hour in some areas, mainly like in
- 7:15Speaker 5: the foothills mountains, and that of course has mudslide debris
- 7:18Speaker 5: flow warnings and a lot of worries, especially in the
- 7:22Speaker 5: burn areas. So if some evacuation warnings have been issued,
- 7:26Speaker 5: no one's ordered out, but the warnings go into effect.
- 7:29Speaker 5: We've got some flood watches in effect to Penga canyons
- 7:32Speaker 5: closed down preemptively.
- 7:34Speaker 3: So it's going to come down hard.
- 7:37Speaker 2: And we got yesterday what we were reporting that parts
- 7:40Speaker 2: of the mountains in the Inland Empire twelve inches of rain. Well,
- 7:44Speaker 2: I think at anywhere close to twelve inches of rain.
- 7:46Speaker 2: You've guaranteed yourself. We've guaranteed ourselves some massive mud slides.
- 7:51Speaker 2: There's no way to avert these mudslides at twelve inches
- 7:55Speaker 2: of rain. I mean, that's impossible. So we'll be talking
- 7:59Speaker 2: about it since all of us are here.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Tomorrow.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Also, it's uh tomorrow and then after that on Thursday,
- 8:06Speaker 2: and I'm inside it's Pj's. It's just doing nothing. Lighting
- 8:12Speaker 2: up the fire even though we don't have a fireplace,
- 8:15Speaker 2: and watching football sounds like fun. Yeah, let's take a break, okay, okay,
- 8:21Speaker 2: and we'll come back and keep on going. By the way,
- 8:24Speaker 2: I do have a fireplace. I just wanted to share that.
- 8:27Speaker 2: And I don't know why I went that way because
- 8:29Speaker 2: I thought it would work.
- 8:29Speaker 4: And it didn't.
- 8:30Speaker 3: Oh right, But you have several fireplaces.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Actually I only had one. I have one.
- 8:34Speaker 2: I had Yeah, no, I had two fireplaces at the
- 8:40Speaker 2: Persian Palace.
- 8:41Speaker 3: So no, you're downsizing, is that what you're saying?
- 8:44Speaker 4: Oh? I downsized like crazy? Are you kidding?
- 8:47Speaker 3: Was the Persian Palace that much bigger than the house? Wow?
- 8:50Speaker 4: Yeah? My Persian Palace was massive. It was huge.
- 8:54Speaker 2: It was yeah, way over built, and it was just
- 8:57Speaker 2: you know, all the kids left, and you know, we
- 9:00Speaker 2: dug up all the pets and we sent them out
- 9:03Speaker 2: for there was just too much room.
- 9:04Speaker 5: Okay, the rain so expected to start by this afternoon
- 9:08Speaker 5: and then the heaviest rain overnight and tomorrow morning.
- 9:11Speaker 4: I can't wait.
- 9:11Speaker 2: All right, more a handle on the news with Amy
- 9:15Speaker 2: A and Neil is not here and me Well.
- 9:17Speaker 5: The redacted document dump continues. The Justice Department has released
- 9:22Speaker 5: more documents from files on convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
- 9:28Speaker 5: Thousands of documents have been released, but the Justice Department
- 9:33Speaker 5: is saying that it's unable to fully release all the
- 9:35Speaker 5: files by the deadline because of the vetting process required
- 9:39Speaker 5: to protect Epstein's victims.
- 9:42Speaker 4: Yeah, it's kind of pretty sloppy.
- 9:44Speaker 2: First of all, the administration held up did not wanted
- 9:48Speaker 2: to release those files, went back and forth, yes, release them, yes,
- 9:52Speaker 2: release and made a major point during the campaign to
- 9:55Speaker 2: release the files. Now we're in power, we're not going
- 9:58Speaker 2: to release them. We don't have them. We are going
- 10:01Speaker 2: to give you part of them. There was a bill
- 10:02Speaker 2: that was passed, the President's signed, and it was supposed
- 10:05Speaker 2: to come in on Friday, right, didn't make it. Some
- 10:08Speaker 2: were still being kept, and now it's gotten sloppy because
- 10:12Speaker 2: some are over redacted, some are under redacted, and no
- 10:16Speaker 2: one's very happy on this one. Even MADA supporters aren't happy,
- 10:20Speaker 2: and that's very very rare. So we'll find out what
- 10:23Speaker 2: happens with the files now. MSNBC, what a shocker that
- 10:28Speaker 2: is is reporting that a some email shows that President
- 10:34Speaker 2: Trump was on Epstein's private jet multiple times. We don't
- 10:38Speaker 2: know where it's going, and that has not been confirmed
- 10:41Speaker 2: as far as I can see, because I'm looking at
- 10:44Speaker 2: four or five news outlets.
- 10:46Speaker 4: Has not been confirmed at all.
- 10:48Speaker 2: But of course if it were where to think it
- 10:51Speaker 2: would break, you know, the non bias station ms NBC.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Paramount, this new deal not worth it.
- 11:04Speaker 5: At least that's the word from one of the major
- 11:09Speaker 5: shareholders to Warner Brothers. So Paramount sky Dance came forward
- 11:13Speaker 5: yesterday and presented a new offer that had like forty
- 11:19Speaker 5: billion dollars of the deal personally guaranteed by co founder
- 11:23Speaker 5: Larry Ellison. But this guy, who is a four percent
- 11:28Speaker 5: shareholder in Harris Oakmark, so he's a four percent shareholder
- 11:34Speaker 5: in Warner Brothers, he said he would hold out for
- 11:36Speaker 5: more from the Ellison family controlled Paramount. He said, you
- 11:40Speaker 5: know this one was better but not good enough.
- 11:42Speaker 4: Yeah, this has handed.
- 11:43Speaker 2: When there's a bidding war, the shareholders do just fine.
- 11:47Speaker 2: And that seems to be what's going on.
- 11:49Speaker 5: Well, Netflix hasn't come up with a new deal. They're
- 11:52Speaker 5: still sticking with their.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Safe and arguing that their deal is the best no
- 11:56Speaker 4: matter what.
- 11:57Speaker 3: And Warner Brothers is saying that deal is better.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Yes, But at the same time, the board of Netflix
- 12:05Speaker 2: is saying to at this point to Paramount not good
- 12:09Speaker 2: enough because the deal was already inked with Paramount with
- 12:12Speaker 2: Netflix and Warner Brothers is coming in or a Paramount
- 12:16Speaker 2: is coming in with a hostile bid try to take over,
- 12:20Speaker 2: and that's against the wishes of the board.
- 12:22Speaker 4: Happens all the time.
- 12:25Speaker 5: Well, apparently deportees will get their due their due process.
- 12:30Speaker 5: A federal judge has ordered that the Venezuelan men, about
- 12:36Speaker 5: two hundred of them deported to the prison in El
- 12:39Speaker 5: Salvador in March from the US, need to get their
- 12:43Speaker 5: due process.
- 12:44Speaker 3: They said they didn't get it before they left, and
- 12:47Speaker 3: they need that.
- 12:48Speaker 5: So the judge has given the administration until the fifth
- 12:51Speaker 5: of January to either facilitate their return to the US
- 12:55Speaker 5: from El Salvador or to otherwise provide them with hearings
- 12:59Speaker 5: that satisfy the requirements of due process.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Now this happened, and now he invoked.
- 13:03Speaker 2: The President invoked the deportation under the Alien Enemies Act,
- 13:10Speaker 2: which was passed in seventeen ninety eight by the US
- 13:13Speaker 2: government and has not changed since then. And I am
- 13:17Speaker 2: going to dive into that at seven point fifty a
- 13:19Speaker 2: little bit of handle history.
- 13:20Speaker 4: That's interesting stuff.
- 13:23Speaker 5: So some people actually got to see that pulled sixty
- 13:26Speaker 5: minutes story that we were telling you about. The story
- 13:30Speaker 5: was about the Seacott Maximum Security prison in El Salvator
- 13:34Speaker 5: that we are El Salvator, that we were just referencing.
- 13:37Speaker 5: But apparently the package for sixty minutes was distributed on
- 13:41Speaker 5: an app owned by Global TV, which airs sixty minutes
- 13:44Speaker 5: in Canada. A. We didn't get to see it here
- 13:48Speaker 5: in the US, but they did in Canada.
- 13:50Speaker 2: And there's a lot of controversy about that because a
- 13:53Speaker 2: lot of detractors are saying, why was it able to
- 13:55Speaker 2: air in fifty of the fifty one American states and
- 14:00Speaker 2: they still allowed it in Canada. Okay, well, it's they're
- 14:06Speaker 2: going a cave on this one. This one's another cluster truck.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Whether the political aspects of this, and that's the argument.
- 14:14Speaker 4: That case.
- 14:17Speaker 3: CBS is going to cave an error.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I think Seawalk CBS already caved now, whether it's
- 14:23Speaker 2: going to be released or not, because it rips into
- 14:25Speaker 2: the Trump administration and I don't even think mentioning well,
- 14:29Speaker 2: I has to mention that Trump administration, and that is
- 14:31Speaker 2: the potential illegal deportation and how those prisoners were treated
- 14:37Speaker 2: in the El Salvadoran prisoner prison.
- 14:43Speaker 5: Guess what, you could be a billionaire for Christmas. The
- 14:47Speaker 5: jackpot for the next powerball drawing is going to be
- 14:50Speaker 5: one point seven billion dollars because no one won it
- 14:53Speaker 5: last night.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Yeah. Their math is weird because everybody takes the lump
- 14:59Speaker 2: sum and that brings it way way down to I think,
- 15:05Speaker 2: what's seven hundred million?
- 15:06Speaker 3: So you have a cash value on this one is
- 15:08Speaker 3: seven hundred and eighty one million.
- 15:10Speaker 2: And you pay half of that in taxes, which doesn't
- 15:12Speaker 2: really matter if you're in California. And on top of that,
- 15:17Speaker 2: I mean theoretically it's worth one point seven billion. You
- 15:20Speaker 2: can take it over twenty years, and I don't know
- 15:24Speaker 2: if anybody has done that recently.
- 15:26Speaker 4: Yeah, well what.
- 15:26Speaker 5: Happens if you die? Do you will it to somebody?
- 15:28Speaker 5: Or does go away like social Security?
- 15:30Speaker 4: No, it doesn't go away. It doesn't go away. It's
- 15:32Speaker 4: part of the estate.
- 15:33Speaker 2: I mean, you get it. It's not to use it
- 15:36Speaker 2: or lose it kind of thing. But everybody takes the
- 15:38Speaker 2: cash because that paltry forty million dollars a year just
- 15:43Speaker 2: doesn't cut it.
- 15:44Speaker 4: Now you want some serious money there.
- 15:46Speaker 5: Looks like Barry Manilo is going to make it, at least,
- 15:50Speaker 5: we hope. So kind of a tough day for Manaluni's
- 15:52Speaker 5: like me. Barry Manilo has announced that he has been
- 15:56Speaker 5: diagnosed with lung cancer recently, but he says his doctors
- 16:00Speaker 5: don't think it's spread. He's going to have surgery to
- 16:03Speaker 5: get the spot that was discovered removed. And he said
- 16:06Speaker 5: he doesn't have to have chemo or radiation. He just
- 16:09Speaker 5: is going to have to rest. So he says he
- 16:11Speaker 5: hopes to be back on the stage by belief February.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Yeah, he said that a little more plastic surgery might
- 16:17Speaker 2: help him last a little bit longer.
- 16:21Speaker 3: He's on a fantastic show seen.
- 16:23Speaker 4: Look if you look very I have actually so if
- 16:26Speaker 4: you look. If you look very.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Carefully, you can tell there was a touch of plastic surgery.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Done on him over the years.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Is a little midge because you have just seen the
- 16:33Speaker 2: cleft in his chin.
- 16:35Speaker 3: It gets every year.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that used to be that used to be his
- 16:38Speaker 2: belly button. Okay, moving on there he does. But I
- 16:45Speaker 2: and he's written some terrific songs.
- 16:47Speaker 4: Did he's written? Write his first one when you're sixteen
- 16:49Speaker 4: or something?
- 16:50Speaker 2: Yeah? I just really amazing, amazing guy, you know, just
- 16:55Speaker 2: musically well, I have to connect some oak with his face,
- 17:00Speaker 2: but I'm not going to. Okay, moving on.
- 17:04Speaker 5: Call of Duty's co creator has been killed. Vince Zampella
- 17:10Speaker 5: was one of two people in a ferrari that hit
- 17:13Speaker 5: a concrete barrier and caught fire while speeding down Angelus
- 17:19Speaker 5: Crest Highway. It happened early Sunday morning, about twelve or
- 17:22Speaker 5: actually was Sunday afternoon about twelve forty at mile markers
- 17:25Speaker 5: sixty two on the Angelus Crest Highways.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Kind of sad, yep.
- 17:29Speaker 2: And he wrote, Call of Duty maybe the number one
- 17:33Speaker 2: game out there. I think maybe Mario Brothers is number one,
- 17:36Speaker 2: but Call of Duty is right up there. Also, that
- 17:42Speaker 2: was am I right on this cono. I don't game.
- 17:45Speaker 2: But isn't there in the original Call of Duty where
- 17:48Speaker 2: you get into it with screaming at a hooker who
- 17:50Speaker 2: doesn't put out a program?
- 17:53Speaker 4: Okay, I get them confused.
- 17:55Speaker 3: It is in a video game, just a program.
- 17:58Speaker 4: This is more war related, got it? Okay, you're a soldier? Yeah,
- 18:02Speaker 4: all right, fair enough, got it? Got it?
- 18:06Speaker 5: Speaking of war related, President Trump has announced a new
- 18:10Speaker 5: class of battleships there what he calls Trump Class ship.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Course he does.
- 18:18Speaker 5: He said, one of them will be the largest battleship
- 18:20Speaker 5: in the history of our country.
- 18:22Speaker 4: Yes, in the world. It will be the largest battleship
- 18:24Speaker 4: that ever was.
- 18:26Speaker 2: And he of course named the fleet after the class
- 18:30Speaker 2: Trump Class vessels and taking a page out of the
- 18:35Speaker 2: George Foreman book, who called all of his sons George.
- 18:39Speaker 5: Uh.
- 18:39Speaker 2: The Trump Class vessels not only will be Trump Class,
- 18:42Speaker 2: but will be named Trump one, and then Trump two,
- 18:45Speaker 2: and then Trump three and four and five. It's much
- 18:49Speaker 2: like the Super Bowl, right with the Roman numerals.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Did you see the name of the first ship.
- 18:54Speaker 2: It's called the USS Defiant, which is actually perfect. But
- 18:57Speaker 2: I mean, come on, you have a and whether or
- 18:59Speaker 2: not we need a new class of battleships, and we might.
- 19:04Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Ours is pretty aged, but sure, why not let's call
- 19:08Speaker 2: it after ourselves.
- 19:09Speaker 4: I'm telling you I've been joking about this.
- 19:11Speaker 2: But the next president, if it is, if it is
- 19:15Speaker 2: a democratic president, is going.
- 19:17Speaker 4: To have a real issue.
- 19:18Speaker 2: How does he remove Trump's face off of Mount Rushmore?
- 19:22Speaker 4: How does he do it? Okay? Moving on?
- 19:27Speaker 3: What is this stuff?
- 19:30Speaker 5: US Customs and Border Patrol have intercepted what they call
- 19:33Speaker 5: some ghoulish looking cargo from a passenger who's on his
- 19:38Speaker 5: way into the US from Africa, actually specifically from Congo,
- 19:43Speaker 5: and the Customs and Border Patrol workers said that this
- 19:47Speaker 5: person believed that the food they were bringing was fine
- 19:51Speaker 5: to enter the US at O'Hare Airport.
- 19:53Speaker 3: They said it was not, and it was four pounds
- 19:57Speaker 3: of non human primate meat.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Did you look at the picture?
- 20:01Speaker 3: Yes, it's gross.
- 20:03Speaker 4: It is This is.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Perfect for Halloween. They should have picked this up for
- 20:07Speaker 2: Halloween or saved it for next Halloween. It is absolutely disgusting.
- 20:13Speaker 2: It looks like some kind of you know what it
- 20:16Speaker 2: looks like. It looks like an insect with a really
- 20:20Speaker 2: bizarre head on it doesn't it? It is truly god awful.
- 20:24Speaker 2: That's worth seeing. Where do people see that? Are we're
- 20:26Speaker 2: going to post that?
- 20:27Speaker 3: I'll post it on your Instagram?
- 20:29Speaker 2: Okay, go to at Bill Handles Show. All right, I
- 20:33Speaker 2: think we can do. Oh here's the story of one
- 20:36Speaker 2: of my favorite places.
- 20:37Speaker 5: Yeah, so it looks like In and Out's kind of
- 20:39Speaker 5: going all Disney because now you have to make an
- 20:42Speaker 5: appointment to get in line. Hoping to get in and
- 20:46Speaker 5: out of the In and Out Burger quickly. They have
- 20:51Speaker 5: introduced a new app. So the first three locations open
- 20:57Speaker 5: doors in mid December, so to combat resulting congestion from
- 21:01Speaker 5: new locations, the web based tool called the Weight app
- 21:04Speaker 5: was launched to provide real time data on how long
- 21:07Speaker 5: it takes to order both inside and outside and at
- 21:10Speaker 5: the drive through.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Yeah, this is in Tennessee where they open up three
- 21:14Speaker 2: of them, and I mean this, it is a cult
- 21:18Speaker 2: place to eat here in southern California. The lines are
- 21:21Speaker 2: always ridiculously long. It's just it astounds me. And it's good.
- 21:27Speaker 2: They're good burgers. I mean, are they that good? I
- 21:29Speaker 2: don't know, but they have their own flavor and in
- 21:32Speaker 2: Tennessee they're yeah, you know, it's regional. Sometimes too. One
- 21:36Speaker 2: of the big burgers in Tennessee is the possumburger. It
- 21:40Speaker 2: is so good that you will want to try it.
- 21:44Speaker 3: So Bostin burgers are okay, but monkey burgers aren't.
- 21:47Speaker 4: Is that what you That is correct?
- 21:48Speaker 2: Monkey burgers and I possum burgers because here's why people
- 21:50Speaker 2: wait so much in line that the possums get run
- 21:52Speaker 2: over and then they're picked up by nevermind.
- 21:55Speaker 4: That's I don't know if that's true or not.
- 21:58Speaker 5: Maybe they'll rename it trump Land, Greenland's prime minister, has
- 22:04Speaker 5: fired back after President drump pointed a special envoy to Greenland.
- 22:10Speaker 5: It's Louisiana's Republican Governor, Jeff Landry. Trump said that Landry
- 22:16Speaker 5: understands how essential Greenland is to our national security, and
- 22:19Speaker 5: then Landry posted on social media, it's an honor to
- 22:22Speaker 5: serve you in this volunteer position to make Greenland a
- 22:25Speaker 5: part of the US, which Greenland says it wants no
- 22:28Speaker 5: part of.
- 22:29Speaker 4: I find it incredible.
- 22:32Speaker 2: There's some things that are being done by this administration
- 22:34Speaker 2: that number one, I find sort of ridiculous, some entertaining,
- 22:40Speaker 2: some dangerous, to be honest with you, and then some
- 22:44Speaker 2: just nuts. This is under the Nuts Department. Where are
- 22:50Speaker 2: they going to go? Or they is Trump going to
- 22:52Speaker 2: invade Greenland go to war. I don't know how anybody
- 23:00Speaker 2: understands what's going on on leave.
- 23:05Speaker 5: Brown University's police chief has been placed on leave more
- 23:09Speaker 5: than a week after the mass shooting that left two
- 23:12Speaker 5: students dead. Nine others were shot. The school president, Christina Patson,
- 23:18Speaker 5: says that Brown University is going to commission a review
- 23:22Speaker 5: of campus, campus safety and the response to the shooting
- 23:26Speaker 5: on December thirteenth, saying that putting the chief on leave
- 23:31Speaker 5: is just sort of standard procedure. They did say that
- 23:34Speaker 5: they're going to make some immediate changes, including more security
- 23:38Speaker 5: cameras installed across campus campus, including at the Barrison Holly
- 23:43Speaker 5: Engineering building where the shooting happened. There was a lot
- 23:46Speaker 5: of complaints because there wasn't a lot of video surveillance
- 23:48Speaker 5: of the area.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Aren't these stories all closing the barnhore barn door after
- 23:53Speaker 2: the horse has escaped kind of thing where all of
- 23:56Speaker 2: a sudden security is ramped up across the country and
- 24:00Speaker 2: there really isn't much a connection when you see several
- 24:05Speaker 2: different schools and or shopping centers and or organizations, churches, etc.
- 24:11Speaker 4: At risk.
- 24:12Speaker 2: It's always before the fact that they're able to foil
- 24:15Speaker 2: the plot. So I don't know what else they could do.
- 24:19Speaker 2: But putting up a big security blanket does that stop
- 24:22Speaker 2: someone from coming in, make them more difficult, And we're
- 24:26Speaker 2: never going to know how many of these are foiled.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Occasionally we get language from the FBI saying we foil something,
- 24:31Speaker 2: but the whole point of secret security is secret security,
- 24:35Speaker 2: So no idea. I've shared this when my kids were
- 24:39Speaker 2: the synagogue that we belonged to head of school. My
- 24:41Speaker 2: kids went to it and when we dropped the kids
- 24:44Speaker 2: off in the morning, there would be the arm guard
- 24:46Speaker 2: there who was directing traffic, and I mean there was
- 24:51Speaker 2: with the weapons. And I was told, you don't even
- 24:54Speaker 2: know the security that we have here, and we're never
- 24:56Speaker 2: going to tell you what we have. And I think
- 24:59Speaker 2: that happens on a lot school and then you know,
- 25:01Speaker 2: people can avert it. I mean, some crazies got through,
- 25:03Speaker 2: Thank goodness, they didn't have weapons.
- 25:07Speaker 5: Well in this case, someone did see something and say something.
- 25:11Speaker 5: When we're talking about the Brown University shooting, there is
- 25:14Speaker 5: a custodian named Derek Lacy.
- 25:16Speaker 3: He reported a.
- 25:18Speaker 5: Suspicious person on campus several times before the shooting. He
- 25:23Speaker 5: says he remembers seeing the guy who they've identified as
- 25:27Speaker 5: the gunman more than a dozen times canvassing the engineering
- 25:30Speaker 5: building and other areas before the shooting, and he reported
- 25:34Speaker 5: it and they didn't do anything.
- 25:36Speaker 3: So what could they do?
- 25:38Speaker 4: Yeah, and even if you do, what do you do?
- 25:41Speaker 3: I guess you can't arrest him for not doing anything.
- 25:43Speaker 4: No, you can't. And so you're casing.
- 25:46Speaker 2: That's probably some kind of a crime, but stocking, But
- 25:50Speaker 2: what are you stalking if you're looking at a building?
- 25:52Speaker 2: I mean, they could do some kind of crime there.
- 25:54Speaker 2: But then again, how many tips do they get when
- 25:58Speaker 2: a killer is loose and there really is at risk
- 26:02Speaker 2: and the police department, the authorities send out the word, hey,
- 26:07Speaker 2: we are offering twenty five fifty thousand dollars reward for
- 26:11Speaker 2: information or just asking for tips. Thousands come in, and
- 26:17Speaker 2: what do you do with that? You sift through thousands?
- 26:21Speaker 4: All right? I think we have time for at least one.
- 26:23Speaker 3: More move over shots. The pill is coming.
- 26:27Speaker 5: The FDA has approved a daily pill version of Novo
- 26:31Speaker 5: Nordisk's weight loss drug Wogovy. The wagov pill uses the
- 26:36Speaker 5: same active ingredient ingredient the semi glue tide that powers
- 26:40Speaker 5: the original wogov along with its sister drug for diabetes, ozempic,
- 26:45Speaker 5: but those are given in weekly injections.
- 26:47Speaker 3: This will be a daily pill.
- 26:49Speaker 5: And what goov makers say that the pill shows roughly
- 26:52Speaker 5: similar weight loss and side effects in clinical trials.
- 26:56Speaker 4: Y know, this is pretty close to the magic bullet
- 26:58Speaker 4: that we've been talking about for weight loss. One in
- 27:01Speaker 4: eight adults say they are currently taking the medicine. Gives
- 27:06Speaker 4: you an idea of the obesity level in this country.
- 27:10Speaker 2: We're just fat and we're getting fatter those possum burders
- 27:16Speaker 2: in Tennessee. That's just doing it.
- 27:18Speaker 4: Okay, we do it, Yeah, we do one more. Absolutely.
- 27:22Speaker 5: Is it Santa or is it Scrooge? Dressed in red
- 27:26Speaker 5: suits and backed by masked elves, a group of Santas
- 27:29Speaker 5: marched into a supermarket in Montreal, loaded their bags with
- 27:33Speaker 5: thousands of dollars worth of groceries, and disappeared into the night.
- 27:36Speaker 5: They're calling themselves the Bandit Santas. They later released a
- 27:39Speaker 5: statement saying the food would be distributed to the needy
- 27:42Speaker 5: and saying the robin Hood style stunt was intended to
- 27:45Speaker 5: highlight the spiraling cost of living crisis.
- 27:49Speaker 4: Well yeah, I mean it makes sense.
- 27:51Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know if that's a particularly good
- 27:54Speaker 2: way of doing it, stealing food and giving it to
- 27:56Speaker 2: the poor, but sure, why not. How many people are
- 28:00Speaker 2: offended and you go in front of a jury on
- 28:02Speaker 2: that one and see what happens. Probably be a slap
- 28:05Speaker 2: on the wrist. All right, we're done, guys. This is
- 28:08Speaker 2: KFI AM six point forty.
