In The Bahamas, 142 new HIV cases were reported in 2025 — mostly among men aged 30-39 — prompting officials to investigate delayed testing and potential risk behaviors, even as the country makes progress toward its 75% reduction goal by 2030. While far below the epidemic peak of nearly 800 cases in the 1990s, every new case remains a concern.
