- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Starting in Judges 13, and this is this is something that's really good.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Bill loves this word.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: It's very timely for me also.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: In uh Judy and I'd travels, we this is something that comes up quite a bit.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: We were uh uh in a church well, I was speaking in a uh a ministry school uh a couple of weeks ago, and uh they were asking questions because they were using they they had me to come and speak because they were using my book Fullness as a textbook, and they had been teaching on that, and so they wanted me to come and come and and talk about it and answer questions.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: So so I we gave time for questions and and there were some really good questions.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: But then one lady mentioned something about um it's about when you go higher in God, or you or you the more revelation you get in God that uh you get uh Satan attacks you more and more.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: And so she says, you know, so I I have that dilemma that I have to be aware of all the time.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: And so different levels, yeah.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: New but higher higher level, bigger devil, you know, that kind of stuff.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: And uh so I was able to answer that and talk about that.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: And uh we'll look at some of that here tonight.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Um some of the other places we go, people people just have questions about this stuff.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: There's there's teachings that go around, and there's there's a big uh awareness of the devil.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: The Bible talks about the devil.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: So what we want to do is really clearly lay out where the devil is and and basically how it works and where is he really in our life?
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: And uh right off the bat to know where we're going, he really is nowhere in our life.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: The Bible said, if God is for us, if God be for us, who can be against us?
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: So right there, that sort of goes against the grain of this, oh, the devil's after me, the devil's after me, the devil's after me.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: Um so we want to uh we'll we'll we'll look at that.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: There's there's teachings that are out there about how to fight the devil and how to deal with the devil with this and that.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Um I spent um a few years of my my ministry in uh involved in spiritual warfare.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: I was very close with one of the guys that was leading this teaching and this movement of spiritual warfare in the in the in the in the church world, and we would we got to where most of our prayers were praying against the devil.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: Um most of our awareness was of of of of demons and devils, and we got to where like everybody had them and everybody needed deliverance, and and uh there is one behind that bookshelf over there, and and we would have prayer meetings a lot, and in our prayer meetings we did what I now I call them spiritual Nintendo games because we were like, there's one over there, boom, you know, and and uh you know we were discerning which ones hover and cover the cities and doing all this all all this stuff.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: Well, things changed.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: Um I noticed over the years, over time, when I look at that, I know I noticed that it it changed with revelation.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: And as as I as I went a few years down the road, I looked back and I thought, now where's all those devils I was shooting at back in the day?
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: I mean, I would preach, I would preach about devils and demonic activities so much that they were would manifest in people just almost every other time I would preach.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: And uh and so you feel like you're right in the middle of something powerful.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Um but the truth is what you focus on, what you preach, is what you see manifested.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: When I started preaching righteousness, I started seeing that manifest.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: When I started preaching uh new creations in Christ and being complete in him, I started seeing more of that manifest instead of some of that low-level stuff, the ugly stuff.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: Um so we'll look at that and have some fun with the scriptures here tonight by starting in Judges chapter 13.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: And this is where the Lord is announcing to a particular woman that she's going to have a son, and he's gonna be called Samson.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: And Samson, she, and the angel that's telling her this gives some rules about Samson.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: First of all, in verse 4, um the angel tells the mother, Now therefore, please be careful not to drink wine or similar drink, and not to eat anything unclean.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: Verse 5, for behold, you shall conceive and bear a son, and no razor shall come upon his head.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: For the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb, and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: So we're all pretty familiar with the story of Samson.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: Go with me to the book of Numbers, chapter six.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: We're all pretty familiar with the uh story of Samson.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: Um we know that he let his hair grow.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: We know Delilah got him to cut his hair, or cut his, she cut his hair off.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: We know that he was a very strong man and he had a big big fall.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: Umtice there a couple of points here.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Number one, that he was born, his destiny was to deliver the people of Israel from the hand of their enemies.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Notice that there was that that the Lord spoke and said, That this child shall be a Nazarite from the womb.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: Now, now people were not normally Nazarites from the womb.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: Many times people would consecrate themselves for a time or for a season to take the vow of a Nazarite, and they would keep these rules that this angel was given to her.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: That's why he was telling her, says, You keep these rules, because these are the vows of the Nazarite, and he will be one from his womb.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: He will, he will, he will be he will always be a Nazarite.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: Over in Number six, we get a little bit more detail, just to give you an idea of what Samson, what his life was to be like.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: In Numbers chapter six, we get the vow of the Nazarite.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: And in verse two, God says, Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, When either a man or a woman consecrates an offering to take the vow of a Nazarite, to separate himself to the Lord, then he shall separate himself from wine and similar drink.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: He shall drink neither vinegar made from wine, nor vinegar made from any drink, neither shall he drink any grape juice.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: That's not just wine, that's Welches.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: Nor eat fresh grapes or raisins.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: All the days of his separation he shall eat nothing that is produced from the grapevine from seed to skin.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: All the days, verse 5, all the days of the vow of his separation, no razor will come upon his head.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: Until his days are fulfilled, for which he has separated himself to the Lord.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: He shall be holy.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: Then he shall let the locks of his hair grow, and all the days that he separates himself to the Lord, he shall not go near a dead body.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: So these are some of the vows of the Nazarite.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: And we go back to the book of Judges again, and we'll go we'll go into chapter um to chapter 14 now.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: So Samson's living the life of a Nazarite and keeping the vow.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: And the vow of the Nazarite is not a lot of do's, but it's a lot of do-nots.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: He's not to drink wine or anything that comes from the grape, not vinegar, not grape juice.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: He's not to touch anything from seed to skin.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: He can't even eat grapes.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: Can't eat raisins.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: Nothing that comes from the vine can he partake of.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: He is not to uh put a razor to his head, and he's not supposed to come come near and certainly not touch or even come near a dead body.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: Well, in Judges 14, we see the story of Samson, and we pick it up in verse 5.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: And uh it says, So Samson went down to Timnah with his father and mother, and he came to the vineyards of Timnah.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: What's he not supposed to be drinking?
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: What's he not supposed to be eating?
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: What's he not supposed to be partaking of from seed to skin?
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: Grapes.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: What grow in vineyards?
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: Grapes.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: He went to the vineyards of Timnah.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: So there he is in the vineyards of Timnah, and it says, Now to his surprise, a young lion came roaring against him.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: And the spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he tore the lion apart, as one would have torn apart a young goat, though he had nothing in his hand, but he didn't tell his father or mother what he had done.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: Now, now look at this.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: Here he is, traipsing along in the vineyards of Timnah.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: To his surprise, what he finds there is a lion is in that vineyard, and a lion jumps out after him.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: Now, immediately when I read this, I think of a scripture in the book of 1 Peter where he says, Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: Well, that's exactly what this refers to here.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: Here's this lion seeking whom he may devour.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: And in that vineyard that he's sitting in, here comes Samson, and the lion's got somebody that he's seeking to devour now.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: And it came roaring against him.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: He comes like a roaring lion.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: But it does say the spirit of God came mightily upon Samson.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: And Samson, with that strength and that anointing and that power of God, Samson took that lion and just ripped him apart like he would a baby goat.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: And so we see the power of God come on Samson.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: We see it on him over and over again.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: In fact, the very last verse of chapter 13 says that Samson grew and the Spirit of God would move upon him at times.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: Now, a parallel that I've seen with so many believers in this is that is that here we are, we are given all this wholeness in Christ, the name of Jesus, authority in Christ, the ability to what he says, pray and believe and receive, and if you believe, nothing will be impossible to you.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: And anything you ask in my name, it shall be done by my Father in heaven.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: All these things, all this prayer power.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: We have received power from on high, for the Holy Spirit has come to us.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: And so we have this power, we have this all this ability, we have faith.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: I mean, we can we can move mountains, you know, we can we can pray for the sick and see them recover.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: We've opened blind eyes, we have all this stuff going on.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: But the majority of Christians are doing like Samson here, is they use the most of their prayer power and most of their faith to keep themselves alive because so many Christians are under attack.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: And most Christians are in more of a defensive position because they're just, they're, they're just they're just, quote, under attack, or they feel that they're under attack, and they and they're, you know, they're always, they're most of their prayer requests or they need healing for their body, or they need finances, or they need it's always something that's working against them, and they're just trying to come out on top.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: And many times they just like to keep their head above water here, you know, because they feel like they're going down.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: It's and some and it's and it's horrible because for some people, for many people actually, it seems like it's just one thing after another.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: And it's just, you know, and it's just you feel for them because it's like, I've even prayed for some people, and I said, Lord, you know, let us stop.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: How much can one person take?
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, we you know, we've got friends, and you pray for them, and then they get through that, and then something else happens, and and and and another and another, and most of their faith and most of their prayer power and most of their communion with God is really needing God to do something for them.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: And we've been given that power of God, that Spirit of God.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: We we are anointed by God, but most Christians use their anointing and their prayer power to save themselves, to deliver themselves from all these things that are coming against them.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: And that's what Samson is doing here.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: Now remember the gift, that anointing of God, was given to him to deliver Israel from the Philistines, not for him to kill lions.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: When he was born, you know, the angel didn't say, God's going to anoint him so he can kill lions in vineyards.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: In fact, he's not supposed to be messing around in vineyards.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: He's supposed to be delivering people from the Philistines.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: But that's Samson.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: Verse 7.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: Then he went down and he talked with the woman, and she pleased Samson well.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: And after some time, talking about Delilah here, after some time when he returned to get her, he turned aside to see the carcass of the lion.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: And behold, a swarm of bees and honey were in the were in the carcass of the lion.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: So he took some of it in his hands and he went along eating.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: Now, what's one of the other things a Nazarite ain't supposed to do?
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: Go near a dead body.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: Certainly not touch it.
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: He thrust his hands right in that lion's body.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: So he's kind of just doing it all wrong.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: He's in a place that he's not supposed to be.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: Now, here's what I want to point out in this thing here.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: Here's the word about this.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: The reason Samson was fighting the lion was because he was in that vineyard.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: Had he not been in the vineyard of Timnah, he would not have seen a lion.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: So what happened, the reason that Samson was fighting a lion, now listen to me close and don't jump to conclusions here, was because he was in a place that he had no business being, and that's why he had to fight the lion.
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: Now, what most people will think when I see that is they're going to think that what I'm saying is that they must have done something they shouldn't have done.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: That's why the devil's loose to attack them.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: I've even heard those kind of things preached.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: That's not true, and that's not what I'm saying at all.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying it's because you went down to the bar, now the lion has a right to that right to get you.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying that because you committed some sin, now the lion's got a right to take you.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: The lion's got no rights to do anything at all.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: Jesus has really rendered him ineffective and cast down and judged, as he said in the book of John, but why is there still activity going on?
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: It's very simple.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: Because lions live in the vineyard of Timnah, spiritually speaking.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, goes about looking for a lot for uh for those that he may devour.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: Now, if you go with me to the book of Isaiah, chapter 35, we'll see how what where this applies to us spiritually.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: Here I am.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: I just told you that for quite a few years I was very heavily involved in the spiritual warfare movement.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I still look at that and I think I really needed to know those things because of where the place that I was, the realm I was in, the place I was walking in my life, so to speak, was a place that had lions.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: I mean, I just felt like I was always under attack.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: Things were just going on one thing after another.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: And so I would I would fight and I would pray and I would I would rebuke and I would bind and I would cast down and cast out, and I'm, and I'm just and I'm realizing that I'm not having a great communion with God because most of my prayers are those kind of prayers.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: Most of my prayer power is going to get rid of, is trying to beat a lion here that's trying to beat me.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: As I my eyes began to open to more and more of the revelation of God and the fullness of God and the grace and the and the love of God and the completion, the complete work of God, and I saw that it was all done in Jesus and realized that that was me, and I had that, then I started noticing after some time, it's like, where's the lion at?
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: Where's the devil?
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: Where's the accuser that used to just sit right here and we would just battle and argue day after day, all day long.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: Well, Rick, you're no good.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: You didn't do this.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: And sometimes I would just say, Well, you're right, and I'd go do it, you know.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: But we had this stuff, and sometimes I just, you know, and then I'd say, No, God says I'm this, so I would just, you know, I bind you, I cast you down.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: And we're just all this stuff's going on.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: Well, the reason it was going on is because I was living in the vineyard of Timnah.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: Now, the vineyard of Timnah, what it what it symbolizes to us here tonight is not an activity that you're doing.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: It's not something wrong necessarily that you're doing at all.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: It's a place, it's a level, it's a mindset.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: And it's very simply spoken of in the New Testament.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: Paul talked about it over and over and over and over and did his best to explain what he meant when he said it.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: That there's, he says, he says, walk after the spirit and not after the flesh.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: That's what it is.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: Then, of course, he had to def, he he, I'm thankful that he tells us in Romans 8 what the flesh is, because it Paul would say those things over and over again.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: And for so long I was in churches that didn't even know what Paul was talking about.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: They would tell us to walk in the spirit, they would tell us not to walk in the flesh, but to them, walking in the flesh meant you just did something wrong.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: That's walking in the flesh.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: To them, walking in the flesh meant that you committed some sin.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: They equaled flesh with sin.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: But flesh is just normal human realm.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: It's living by your senses rather than the spirit.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: The Bible tells us that we have the mind of Christ.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: I was teaching this last night about how God said in 1 Corinthians chapter 2, we have received not the spirit of this world, but the spirit which is from God.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: And we receive that spirit so we can see all the things that God has freely given to us.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: And and it goes on, it says, Because who can know the mind of God?
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: Except the Spirit that dwells in him?
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: And we have the mind of Christ.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: And so we have these scriptures, and one place that says, and you know all things.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: No, I want to know more, but what it is.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: We have the one who knows everything.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: We have the capacity, the access now to live in a whole different realm in this, what the Bible calls a new and living way.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: Which is simply walking in the Spirit, which is simply what Paul said in Romans 8, putting your focus on the things of the Spirit.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: In fact, before I read Isaiah 35, let's look at, let's just do a Bible study on this.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: Let's look at Colossians chapter 3.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: And I want to show you something here.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: Because this will lead us to Isaiah 35.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: Colossians chapter 3, verse 1.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: Now, this is going to be a test for you personally, to see where you're at.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: Flesh or spirit.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: High or low, you'll see.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: So Colossians chapter 3, verse 1 says this.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: Everybody there?
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: If you then were risen with Christ, if you are risen with Christ, then seek those things which are where?
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: Above.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: If I'm going to be very deliberate with this and take my time.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: If you are risen with Christ, or if you were risen with Christ, then seek those things, or put your attention or focus on things above.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: Where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: Now, what just happened there, and most people, and I don't know what's going on inside of you, and I won't even ask, only you will know.
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: What happens inside of most people when I read this verse is they'll say, okay, if I'm risen with Christ, then I should set my attention, my focus, on the things above where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: Not on things of the earth, but things above where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: Does that make sense to you?
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: Here's why it shouldn't.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: Because he says, if you're risen with Christ, set your attention on things above.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: So where Christ, where he is seated at the right hand of the Father.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: If we are risen with Christ, with Christ, set your attention on things above where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: Are you all familiar with the verse where he also says that in Ephesians 2 that God has raised us up and made us to sit together with him in heavenly places?
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: So are we, is Christ, are we beneath or are we high or are we low?
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: Let's say, if we're risen with Christ, so here we are.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: We were dead in trespasses and sins, Ephesians 2.
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: He made us alive together with him.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: He raised us up together with him and made us to sit together with him in heavenly place.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: So Christ was risen, we were risen with him, and seated with him in those heavenly places or in that heavenly realm.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: So if we're risen with Christ, here we are, here's Christ, here's us.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: If we're risen with Christ, then set our attention on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father, not on the things of the earth.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: And when you think of the things of the earth, then it's a downward look, not looking straight around us.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: If you're heavenly minded, if you're aware, if your mind is awakened to life in the Spirit, the reality of who you are in God, who we are in Christ, who he is in you, the finished work of Christ, and what does that mean for me, then you're aware of everything, and you assent to everything that we say here that we have been risen with him, and if we are risen with him, in other words, we're right here with him, then let's put our attention here.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: Where he is seated at the right hand of the Father, not on the things of the earth.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: This is different from looking at it looking where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father, because this is not how it is.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: It's a lie.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: Am I making any sense?
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: We are not separated, we have come into union with him that being raised together with means unity, means oneness.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: There are three words in the Greek that mean with.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: One means you have an association, the other one means to be near, and the third one means to be in union or or with, and that's that word that is used in Ephesians 2.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: We are in one with him in this heavenly place.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: He seated us in heavenly places.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: You've seen Judy use the book example.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: You put a dollar in a book, wherever you put that book, the dollar's going to go to.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: That's what happened to us in Christ.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: So if we're risen with Christ, then set your attention on where you're at with Christ, on things that are above.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: A carnal mind that doesn't know, that doesn't see this, and is still living by the senses and just and is aware of temporal things more than the real will think of Christ up there and you're still down here where lions roar.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: Because no lions roar there.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: Come on, see, this is where this is where all this goes on.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: This this is where God showed me because I said, What happened?
- 24:37SPEAKER_00: I said, Where did the accuser go?
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: Where did the devil that I was fighting with and debating and doing all this all the time, where did they all go?
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: They stayed down below where Jesus cast them down.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: Jesus raised me up, and when I woke up to that fact, I woke up to a place where lions don't roar.
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: They're down there.
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: You ever heard the song, All My Exes Live in Texas?
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: Well, all my devils live in low levels.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: That's why I hang my hat in eternity.
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: He says, He says, now, he says, so set your attention or seek those things that are above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God, and we are seated in him with him.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: Verse 2 set your mind on the things above, not on the things of the earth.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: Because you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: Boom.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: Are y'all seeing this?
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: So here we are.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: This is why, even now, I mean, I understand, you know, when I worship, I'll do that because he's exalted and all that, and we're exalting him and all that.
- 25:57SPEAKER_00: But in reality, you become aware that you're living in another realm.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: This is what makes you different, that you have been raised up, and God, the Bible says he has delivered us from the kingdom of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom of his son.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 26:13SPEAKER_00: Now, this isn't mind games.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: This isn't trying to play tricks on your brain and trying to convince you of something that isn't true.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: This is a reality that will always be true for you throughout eternity, whether you believe it or not.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: This is the truth.
- 26:27SPEAKER_00: Looking at temporal things is what carnality really is.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: Now, now let's now see that, now let's go back and let's look at Isaiah chapter 35.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: Here's why people have a devil awareness.
- 26:47SPEAKER_00: Here's where people get the voice of the accuser.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: This is where down down below, down in the vineyard of Timna, so to speak, is where people get their guilt, their condemnation, their accusation, their spiritual inferiority complex.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: That's down and down there is where you're going to hear the voices and have the thoughts of Rick, that's good, but I'm not there yet.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: No, no, no.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: Put your mind on things above and say, I'm home.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: You know, the Bible says to abide in him.
- 27:23SPEAKER_00: And I think we talked about this before.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: What does it mean?
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: If you live in Sherman, then that's where you abide.
- 27:29SPEAKER_00: And you never you never go ask somebody, how do I abide in Sherman?
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: You just do.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: Because it's a reality, it's a fact.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: Now you can forget about it.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: You can you can you can forget where you're at, and you can go wandering off and get lost, but if you know where you're at, you won't.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: Isaiah chapter 35, verse, um, starting in verse 8.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: And this is a prophetic declaration of the of the redeemed of the Lord, the new covenant people, me and you.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: Here's our existence.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: Verse 8.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: A highway shall be there, and a road, and it shall be called the highway of holiness.
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: The Bible says that Jesus, here again is truth.
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: This is why the accuser will never let you, will never, you'll you'll you won't hear that voice when you know the truth that makes you free.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: Truth such as Christ has presented you holy, blameless, faultless.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: That right now, in reality, not in temporal situation, but in eternity, in reality, right now, you are holy.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: You're blameless.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: Oh my goodness, you are faultless.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: I preached a message a couple of weeks ago from Genesis 3, and I guess you would you could call it Who Told You That?
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: Because Adam hid himself because he was ashamed of his nakedness, and God said, Where are you?
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: And Adam said, Well, I hid myself because I was afraid, I was naked, and and God said, Who told you that?
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: Who told you that you were naked?
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: You know, you've been naked all this time.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: I never said you anything.
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: He says, Who told you that you were naked?
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: Did you eat of that tree?
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: Because that's the only way you could know this.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: The only way you could have any guilt about this, the only way you could have any shame about this is that you've got that knowledge of good and evil because in the tree of life, in me, you don't get that.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: I don't do that.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: Romans 8 tells us that very plain for us.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: There's no condemnation in Christ Jesus.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: They can throw a woman caught in the very act of adultery, and Jesus' words will be, I do not condemn you.
- 29:36unknown: Wow.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: You know, a lot of what has caused us to be on a long road that we shouldn't, didn't, doesn't, that you don't have to be on.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: A long road to find out what God is really like is that a lot of us in ministry, bless our hearts, and I've been as guilty as anybody, because we just we don't know.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: We know in part, and we preach in part, the Bible says.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: But we were so much on this lower level.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: We were we were in the flesh, we were in the knowledge of good and evil, and we projected that knowledge of good and evil to our church people.
- 30:19SPEAKER_00: And we tried to project the good, but the good of that knowledge of good and evil still brings death.
- 30:25SPEAKER_00: It is good.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: It's not evil.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: There's good and evil, there's the knowledge of both in that knowledge of good and evil.
- 30:32SPEAKER_00: But promoting the knowledge of good to people is a way that seems right, but its end is still death.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: Because it's not the tree of life.
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: The tree of life is a total separate thing.
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: It's righteousness in Jesus.
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: It's complete in him, it's him.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: Are y'all here?
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: And so we would preach from that knowledge of good and evil, thinking that if we if we promote the knowledge of good, that it would produce good, but it produces death.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: Now it will produce good.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, it will it can cause, it can, it can inspire people to be a better person, do good, and all that, but it's all so limited and it never produces life.
- 31:14SPEAKER_00: It's a way that seems right.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: And no matter how good you are, you're gonna have accusation.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: Because it only comes from that same tree that's inspiring you to do good.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: To try to be good.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: That's why we used to, us preachers, we used to get up here and we used to project perfection because we thought it would inspire perfection in all you guys.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: But it's all that low level.
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: It's all that place where the accuser lives and roars and makes you feel, makes you struggle with it, and you just can't get there.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: You're not good enough, you're not strong enough, you don't have enough faith.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: Maybe if you hear another million sermons, you'll get there.
- 31:59SPEAKER_00: Maybe if you sit in the church pew for another 40 years, then you'll have strong faith, you know.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: Maybe if you go and suffer for another seven years of bad luck, maybe then God will have something he can use.
- 32:10SPEAKER_00: You hear all these things, those are nothing but accusation and condemnation that tell you lies that say you're not there because you haven't done what it takes to get there.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: And the truth is, there's one person that did what it takes for us to get there, and he did it.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: That's why we celebrate him, right?
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: So, those that are redeemed of the Lord, he says, in this place that he would bring us to, a highway will be there.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: What kind of way?
- 32:39SPEAKER_00: High, not low.
- 32:41SPEAKER_00: Not a low way, a highway.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: You see the flesh and the spirit, these are two different levels of living.
- 32:45SPEAKER_00: Two different ways of going, doing this, two different levels of living.
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: A highway shall be there, and it'll be called the highway of holiness.
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: The unclean shall not pass over it.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: The unclean can't live there.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: So what did Jesus do?
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: He shed his blood and cleansed us.
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: And that's why it says, but it shall be for others, whoever walks the road, although he's a fool, shall not go astray.
- 33:13SPEAKER_00: Oh my goodness.
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: You know why?
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: Because in that realm there's perfection and there's fullness.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: You're in perfect love and you're in perfect life, and the heart that abides in perfect life is completely full, and there's no need for selfishness, sin anymore.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: When I hear people say, but we should, but we're supposed to try to not sin, you know, and I'm like, in this place I'm talking, in that tree of knowledge of good and evil, that lower level, the vineyard of Timnah, that's what you do.
- 33:46SPEAKER_00: You try not to sin.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: In this other level, you don't think about it.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: You don't wake up thinking about not sinning.
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: You're living now.
- 33:57SPEAKER_00: You're in the place of life where the spirit is, there's freedom.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: And this is what people don't understand that think, well, well, this, this too much liberty, too much grace, too much love, so that'll just that'll just cause too much sin.
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: If the heart gets full, there's no reason to sin.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: There's no more, there's no more lust of it.
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: That's why he says, if you in Galatians 5, if you walk in the Spirit, up here, you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh because it's full.
- 34:25SPEAKER_00: Read my book, Fullness, if you want to know more about that.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: The heart is full.
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: That's the only antidote for lust.
- 34:31SPEAKER_00: It's not because we get up here and tell people, quit lusting.
- 34:35SPEAKER_00: Quit being selfish, quit sinning.
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: It doesn't work.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: The only thing that can cause the heart to not be needy and hungry and passionate for these things that aren't beneficial is for the heart to be full with something else, which is the love of God.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: And in this place that we're talking about, there's nothing but.
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: It's all love, it's all life, it's all holy, it's all righteous.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: In fact, he says, in this place, he says, verse 9, no lion shall be there.
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: When I come across that, after noticing these things, I thought, oh, that explains it perfectly.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: No wonder I don't hear condemnation in my head anymore.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: No wonder I don't go around feeling guilty about not doing enough, even though I'm still just so far from perfect.
- 35:31SPEAKER_00: It's crazy.
- 35:32SPEAKER_00: But something has happened because this revelation, this simple knowledge, that it was all Jesus and everything he did brought me home to the Spirit.
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: And when I saw that, I believed it.
- 35:45SPEAKER_00: Or let me say, you wake up to it, or here's a better word.
- 35:49SPEAKER_00: You become aware of it.
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: You become conscious of it.
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: Where it becomes your reality.
- 35:59SPEAKER_00: That's when you become a peculiar person.
- 36:01SPEAKER_00: It becomes your reality, and you're living in a place where you're not fighting lions anymore because they don't live up here.
- 36:08SPEAKER_00: Come on, somebody.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: And here's the good part, here's another good thing about it.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: There's no road up to that place.
- 36:21SPEAKER_00: There's no path for you to follow to try to get there.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: In fact, there's not even a mountain to climb to try to get there.
- 36:30SPEAKER_00: Because we were raised to sit there.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: And when we look around, we don't see any footprints of ours on this hill that we're standing on.
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: It's the holy hill.
- 36:44SPEAKER_00: Hebrews 12 says, You have come to Mount Zion.
- 36:49SPEAKER_00: I love the fact that he says you have.
- 36:51SPEAKER_00: You have come to Mount Zion.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: Welcome home.
- 36:55SPEAKER_00: You're there.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: You're risen with Christ.
- 36:58SPEAKER_00: Put your attention on where you're at, not on the things of the earth.
- 37:04SPEAKER_00: You've come to Mount Zion.
- 37:06SPEAKER_00: You have come to the heavenly Jerusalem.
- 37:08SPEAKER_00: The thing that was described there, the heavenly Jerusalem, it's just, it's right there.
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: We're there.
- 37:13SPEAKER_00: It's the dwelling place of God.
- 37:15SPEAKER_00: He says, You've come to God.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: You've come to the innumerable company of angels.
- 37:21SPEAKER_00: You've come to the spirits of just men made perfect.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: Made perfect.
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: The fool walking in this way.
- 37:30SPEAKER_00: You've come to Jesus, the mediator of a better covenant and the blood that speaks better things than that old.
- 37:39SPEAKER_00: Verse 9.
- 37:40SPEAKER_00: So in this place where Jesus brought us this finished work, he didn't give us a partial work and say, now fight the devil and struggle and try and, you know, try real hard till I get there.
- 37:50SPEAKER_00: He came to say, man, if you've been, if you've been, way back then when this whole whole thing started, he said, if you've been laboring, if you've been heavy burdened, he says, Come, let me give you rest for your soul.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: That's up here.
- 38:01SPEAKER_00: And this is where we live.
- 38:02SPEAKER_00: This is the reality.
- 38:03SPEAKER_00: My message is not come up higher.
- 38:06SPEAKER_00: We used to preach that all the time.
- 38:08SPEAKER_00: Come on, we need to go higher in God.
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: Let's go higher in the spirit.
- 38:11SPEAKER_00: There is no higher.
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: What?
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: What do you want to do?
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: Go higher than Jesus?
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: Because you're there with him.
- 38:16SPEAKER_00: I read a scripture in Isaiah about somebody that wanted to go higher than Jesus.
- 38:23SPEAKER_00: But why do people say, let's go higher?
- 38:25SPEAKER_00: Because their attention is in the vineyard of Timnath, and they're trying to get to a place that Jesus already brought them.
- 38:33SPEAKER_00: It is finished.
- 38:35SPEAKER_00: It's reality.
- 38:36SPEAKER_00: Are y'all here?
- 38:37SPEAKER_00: See, and it's just a simple, it's a consciousness.
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: It's hearing the truth, knowing the truth.
- 38:41SPEAKER_00: You go out of here and you remember what that preacher in the orange shirt said.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: And you go out of here and you wake up tomorrow and you be conscious, and you don't have to try to get up higher, and you don't have to try to get in the spirit, because Paul said, you're already in the spirit if Christ's in you.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: Well, why did we do that?
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: Why did we do that in church?
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: Come on, let's try to get in the spirit.
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: Because our mind was not home.
- 39:00SPEAKER_00: We didn't know.
- 39:00SPEAKER_00: We didn't believe it.
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: We were so carnal.
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: And that carnality is what makes it hard for people to accept these things that we're saying, even though they're spelled out so blatantly clear, word for word in the Bible, over and over again.
- 39:20SPEAKER_00: And people say that just can't be true.
- 39:23SPEAKER_00: It's just pretty poetry.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: Or else they put it in its most remote form and say, that'll only be true when we die.
- 39:33SPEAKER_00: That's the only way so many seem to be able to receive it, is just to put it in its most remote form after the body dies.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: I got good news.
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: You're home.
- 39:47SPEAKER_00: And where you're going to be when the body dies is really where you're at right now.
- 39:53SPEAKER_00: And you're going to find that out if you don't know it yet.
- 39:58SPEAKER_00: You're going to find out that you've been home this whole time.
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: But you thought the matrix was real.
- 40:10SPEAKER_00: He said, No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast go upon it.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: In the book of Revelation, he says it this way.
- 40:23SPEAKER_00: There's no lie here.
- 40:24SPEAKER_00: You have trouble believing the truth?
- 40:26SPEAKER_00: Just be aware that you're home because you don't hear lies up here.
- 40:29SPEAKER_00: Oh my goodness.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: There's so much I could say.
- 40:33SPEAKER_00: No, no lie, neither a lie nor he that maketh a lie.
- 40:37SPEAKER_00: No abomination, no unclean thing, no foul bird, nothing is in this place.
- 40:43SPEAKER_00: This is what Jesus needed to do.
- 40:45SPEAKER_00: He needed to take us home.
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: To deliver us, he had to deliver us out of that kingdom of darkness from the vineyard of Tim and take us into the kingdom of the sun.
- 40:55SPEAKER_00: Where there's no abomination here.
- 40:57SPEAKER_00: So who told you that?
- 41:02SPEAKER_00: Well, I kicked the dog and I yelled at the family before I got here.
- 41:08SPEAKER_00: Pray for me, Rick, that I'll be forgiven.
- 41:10SPEAKER_00: Who be forgiven to my sin?
- 41:11SPEAKER_00: Who told you that you're a sinner?
- 41:13SPEAKER_00: Who told you you sinned?
- 41:16SPEAKER_00: Well, I did.
- 41:17SPEAKER_00: Well, okay, but still, who told you that?
- 41:22SPEAKER_00: Because the Bible says in righteousness we would be established.
- 41:25SPEAKER_00: My Bible says that the blood of Jesus would purge your conscience from it.
- 41:30SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 41:32SPEAKER_00: But Paul would admonish us be spirit conscious and not earthly conscious.
- 41:38SPEAKER_00: You know, Paul also wrote in 2 Corinthians 12, and he says, you know, I was caught up in the spirit.
- 41:46SPEAKER_00: I don't even know if I was still in my body or not, but I got caught up into the third heaven, he says.
- 41:52SPEAKER_00: Up in here.
- 41:55SPEAKER_00: Up in here.
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: And he says, and I heard things.
- 42:00SPEAKER_00: I heard things unlawful for man to utter.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: Now that's wonderful.
- 42:07SPEAKER_00: You know what that means?
- 42:10SPEAKER_00: That what is spoken here in heaven in the Spirit is always life.
- 42:14SPEAKER_00: It's always goodness, it's always abundance.
- 42:18SPEAKER_00: These things in man's world, they're not lawful.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: You can't do that.
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: You can't tell somebody they're already holy and righteous when they still commit sin.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: When they still blow it.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: It's not lawful.
- 42:35SPEAKER_00: In this place, I hear things unlawful.
- 42:40SPEAKER_00: If you don't walk with God in a certain way, if you don't obey everything, you can't expect God to get your prayers answered.
- 42:45SPEAKER_00: That's man's thing.
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: You get up here and you say, every promise is already answered in Jesus, receive it.
- 42:51SPEAKER_00: That's not lawful on earth.
- 42:55SPEAKER_00: What Jesus does is he makes that which once was unlawful.
- 42:58SPEAKER_00: Read it.
- 42:58SPEAKER_00: Read the whole Old Testament.
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: It gives all the reasons why all the blessing of God are not lawful to us.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: And he says, When I got caught up in the third heaven, I heard things unlawful for man to utter.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: But they're lawful in heaven because in heaven it's all about life and abundance and healing and everything that that entails.
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: It's lawful.
- 43:21SPEAKER_00: It's lawful.
- 43:27SPEAKER_00: Well, I can't live a long time because I eat meat and I don't just eat grass and flowers, you know, and whatever it is that you're supposed to eat to be healthy and live.
- 43:38SPEAKER_00: It's not lawful.
- 43:39SPEAKER_00: Can't expect that.
- 43:45SPEAKER_00: He has given to us eternal life.
- 43:50SPEAKER_00: And Paul even saw it to the degree, he said, Let me show you a mystery.
- 43:54SPEAKER_00: He didn't say much about it, but he mentioned it there.
- 43:56SPEAKER_00: And he says, you know, we're not all even going to die.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: We will all be changed.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: Some through the grave.
- 44:07SPEAKER_00: But many of us, but but but there'll be those that don't.
- 44:12SPEAKER_00: What a mystery.
- 44:14SPEAKER_00: Eternal life abiding in us.
- 44:16SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 44:19SPEAKER_00: So Jesus has raised us up, and we live in the place where everything that once was unlawful is now lawful.
- 44:30SPEAKER_00: Does that make sense to you?
- 44:32SPEAKER_00: You see it that way?
- 44:34SPEAKER_00: Because there is the rule of heaven, and then there is the rule of the flesh.
- 44:40SPEAKER_00: And the law or the rule of sin and death that operates here, that's the lawful thing.
- 44:46SPEAKER_00: The awful lawful.
- 44:49SPEAKER_00: But we've been made free from that law of sin and death by the law of the spirit of life that's in Christ Jesus.
- 45:03SPEAKER_00: He said, No lion will be there, nor shall any ravenous beast be upon it.
- 45:08SPEAKER_00: It'll just not be found there.
- 45:10SPEAKER_00: But the redeemed shall walk there.
- 45:12SPEAKER_00: We're there.
- 45:13SPEAKER_00: The redeemed shall walk there, and the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and they'll come to Zion.
- 45:18SPEAKER_00: And what does Hebrews 12 say?
- 45:20SPEAKER_00: Now we have come to Mount Zion.
- 45:23SPEAKER_00: They shall come to Zion with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads.
- 45:27SPEAKER_00: They'll obtain joy and gladness and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
- 45:32SPEAKER_00: Because it doesn't live here.
- 45:34unknown: Wow.
- 45:36SPEAKER_00: Would you all stand up?
- 45:40SPEAKER_00: How y'all doing?
