the Book of Proverbs, chapter five, the Book of Proverbs. We like

to go through the whole entire chapter and I've always had a heart to read

to stay up to data and get to know God and understand his heart that

read the Bible, you understand the truth, you understand the word of God,

then it's easier to spot a lie. It's harder for you to be

deceived than to be let astrade because you know the truth right, you know

the truth. And like I said a minute ago, the Bible says,

This is not a game. This is real. Yes, we have concerts

this book of wisdom, Proverbs chapter five. It's a book of great

it says, my son, attaining to my wisdom, and bow thy ear

bound thy ear to my understanding, that thou mayst regard discretion. Now this

is the old King James version. Normally I like to jump into the new

King James, but pays it's good sometimes to go back and forth. So

this is gonna read like the old King James. Let me start over,

my son, attend, attend unto my wisdom in bow thine, ear to

my understanding that thou mayst regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.

That you know what. I'm sorry, y'all, let me. I'm

gonna go back to the new Key James. I mean, there's nothing wrong

at all with the old King James. But when I'm reading it and want

to teach it and want to expand one that a little more, I find

actually near and dear to me because this is something that I struggled with in

my walk with the Lord. This is an area where I have failed multiple

times. Sad to say, I've been sexually active every since I was young,

like a young teenager. And that is a stronghold. That is something

that once it gripped your life, you need the power of God to deliver

you from it, to change your heart, to change your desires, to

change your mind. But if you dive into the Book of Proverbs, you

can avoid all that, right, you can avoid that pitfall. Because here's

the thing. Once you birth a desire, once you create an appetite for

the flesh and for sexual immorality before marriage, it can grab or hold on

you. A lot of people are gonna lose out. A lot of people

that went to hell because they could not control their passions, their desires and
15:46
their lust. And the Bible says in the Book of Romans that God will

give people up to their desires in the last days. And that's the worst

thing that can happen to you. A lot of people think, oh,

that's freedom. If I can just go out and fulfill every desire, if

I can go out and just do what I want, have sex with any

woman I want, any man I want, or whatever. The rocks to

trees or whatever. They think it's freedom. I mean, come on,

now, we can remember the sixties well, I mean I wasn't around during

the sixties, but we can understand what has happened if we are good history

students. In the sixties, they talked about free love, I mean liberty,

all the hippies and all that drugs and all this stuff, and we

can just look at the generations before us and see how destructive the flesh really

is and how deceiving it is. The flesh will promise you a good time,

it'll promise you fulfillment, pleasure, and all this stuff, but it

doesn't tell you the price that you have to pay for it. Right,

All we have to do is be wise, take key to the scriptures,

allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us, and look at people have

done it and where they mend up. And people who have made it back

to our side and testifying are telling us, especially the young people, don't

do this. Don't go this way because it's destruction is death and its tail

that's attached to it. And that's with the scripture. Propres five is going

to tell us say, all right, so discretion is telling us to preserve

discretion. When you preserve something that means you want to keep it. You

want to maintenance it. You want to maintain it. You want to preserve

something, You want it to last a long time. You preserve things that
17:38
are valuable. If there's a favorite food or a favorite recipe, something that
17:45
you just cooked, then you just want to put it in the freezer and

preserve it for later, and just keep it as long as you can.

But if this is what we're supposed to do with discretion, now let's get

that the definition of that word, real quick. Discretion. It's cool when

you got the internet, you can just type it in right, discretion.

Discretion the quality of behaving or speaking in such a way as to avoid causing

offense or revealing private information. Okay, that's a pretty good definition of it,

having discretion avoid causing offense or speaking in a way or behaving in a

way that is avoiding offense or revealing private information. The freedom to decide what

should be done in a particular situation. Now that's a real good one.

Good judgment, good choices, a good preference, good disposition. Freedom to

decide what should be done in a particular situation. Man, man, how

many of us need more discretion? I know God, give me discretion,

Give me more discretion. That's really good. Now, the first definition I

like it, except for the fact it makes it seem like you're walking on

eggshells, like you don't want to offend anybody. Guess what, news flash,

The Gospel is offensive. People are gonna get offended if they read the

Bible and if they follow Jesus Christ. Jesus doesn't pull any punches. He

will correct us and rebuke us and instruct us. And yes, our flesh

will get offended. But the Bible says a wise man receives instruction. So

sometimes, even out of love, you have to offend somebody to tell them

the truth. And the reason why I wanted to make a point, it's

because we live in a day and age where people think that they have the

freedom from offense, like just because they're offended. They think that the Constitution

says shalt not be offended. Right, No, that's just a part of

life. We're gonna get offended sometimes. So there's something I don't think that

you can really avoid. And your lips keep knowledge. Let's keep going.

when it comes to immorality and sexual impurity and uncleanness, it's always talking about

the women. And it's weird because it's usually the men, right, the

men who are the ones who are abducting people children, especially the sex trafficking

trade and all that. It's only there because of these lustful men are buying

these young women and young boys for that matter. But the way the Bible

reads, it's telling you to watch out for the moral woman like she's the

predator. She is the aggressor. She is the one that prays on the

precious life according to the Word of God. And I really don't understand it.

I mean, I trust a word, but there's got to be something

behind it. I'm just saying I don't know it. I'll pray, ask

God to reveal it, give me more information, or maybe I need to

study it a little more. But I've always wondered how come they don't warn

against the men when it comes against talks about sexual morality, but it's always

watch out for the woman, but it says for her lips are and okay,

And her mouth is smoother than oil, but in the end she is

bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two edged sword. Now it says that

she may have smooth lips, she can talk smooth, she smells goods,

she can say the right things, and her lips drop like honey. Right,

very very pleasurable, very pleasant. Where's a nice person to be around.

But once you fall into her trap, she will turn bitter as wormwood.

So let's get that definition. Like what is wormwood? Worm would is

starts out to be pleasurable and even fulfilling some of our lustful desires, right,

but then she turns around to be bitter, and she is sharper sharp

bitter, she's sharp, like she's getting ready, like you're done, You're

done, right, And you look at a lot of people who fall into

these relationships, a lot of men who have left their wives right for some

some girl or something like that, or in vice versa. You know,

the women cut up as well out there, and then they just live a

bitter life. Their life is just it's like they don't live the quality of

life that they once had. When me, we're doing the right thing,

you know. And it says her feet go down to death and her steps

laid hold of hell. Now, if that's not a rid light, I

don't know what can get your attention, Like, come on, now,

she is leading people to death, and she's leading people straight to hell.

I don't care. Nobody on this planet is worth going to hell for it.

Nobody on this not only planet, nobody in this universe is worth going

to hell over. I don't care how much pleasure, how much fun it

may feel like, or seeing how good they look. They're not worth it.

And this is exactly where this type of person. And it can be

a man as well. You know, we're not just gonna pick on the

women. It can be a man as well. They can lead you to

death. And steps laid hold of hell in verse six said, nless you

ponder her path of life, her way. Her ways are unstable. You

do not know them. Now have you ever been with a person who they

it's like they're whole, like like they excuse me? Man, this is

just this is good because, like I said, this is something that I've

dealt with personally in my life before. But I've been in relationships where a

person feels like or a shout to say that person but the female, because

she can do what she wants and it's none of my business. She can

go where she wants and say what she wants and do what she wants.

And the Bible says that this person is unstable, like you don't even know

them, you don't know their ways. You don't know where they're going to

be. You don't know where you're gonna find them, or each day is

something different that's supposed to be over here, but they're a way across town

and you're just finding out. It seems like you're always trying to keep up

and keep tabs on this particular person that we're talking about. That's the telltale

sign that this relationship may not be a good one, or in a relationship

that you want to invest in. Right, we're here to get wisdom,

We're here to get instruction from the word of God, and it's there.

It's there. All we have to do is search for it. Okay.

So verse seven it says, therefore hear me now, my children, and

do not depart from the words of my mouth. Remove your way far from

her, and do not go near her the door of her house. Let

you give your honor to others in your years, to the cruel one.

Let's aliens be filled with your wealth and your labors. Go to the house

every situation. So you're having the ability to make the right choice and to

make the right decision, the right call. Right, So if you're gonna

do not depart from the words of my mouth. God is literally saying,

hey, these are words straight from my mouth. As like someone taking you

to the side and they putting you up on game right, taking to the

Now here's the instruction, and remove you away far from her, like don't

have nothing to do with this woman. Don't even go near her door,

don't even knock on the door of her house, don't even go near her.

And it's funny because a lot of people think that it's wrong to walk

away from somebody. If you choose not to participate in certain thing things,

especially with the agendas that we see in society today, if you choose to

stay far away from it, or to speak against it, then they come

loving them, or being harsh towards them, or how can you reject these

people just because they want to participate in a particular behavior, right, which

is sinful. We all have choices, we all choose to behave in a

certain way, if you know what I'm saying. But the Bible tells us

don't even go near her door. It's like God is saying, don't even

mess around these people. Don't even make friends with them, don't even try

just men just chasing after you and falling at your feet. But I told

there's poverty attached to look at a lot of societies today where sexual immorality is

running rampant in these communities, should I say where there's swingers, where men

are sharing their wives, where young teenagers are sexually active, they're like locking

themselves into a life of poverty. Because it says right here, it says

you will give your honor to others right in your years to the crewel one

as like you're giving your honor to others, Like you're losing your honor,

your vigor. I can't you know the juice or the oil, the things

that just your exceptionalism, the things that can just make your life better?

Right? Don't you want to be that blessed person? Don't you want to

be that one that inspires others to a better life. Don't you want to

be the one that things happen for you, Doors open for you, business

deals happen, you know, different things like that. If you want to

be that person, then be a person that is obedient to the word of

God. But if you want to give into the flesh and think that you're

going to gain something from it, no, you're gonna lose. You're gonna

lose your honor. Your honor is gonna be given to others in your years

to the cruel one. What does that mean? Your years to the crew

one? When you become older, when older person, you get up in

age, it's gonna be cruel, cruel. You're gonna you're You're not gonna

retain your youth, You're not going to retain your vigor, your energy.

We know that there's a lot of men out there their own child support,

understands that. God will honor you. God as your provider. God is

a redeemer. There's redemption in every area of life, Beloved. But I'm

talking about those who are intentionally living a life and morality, and you really

don't know what's gonna happen to you really don't know what you're doing to yourself.

You are cursing your wealth alien and we all know what that word alien

means. Right. We see people on the internet talking about they've seen flying

saucers and they've seen aliens flying through the sky and stuff like that. Well,
