- 0:09Speaker 2: Big Show this Monday evening.
- 0:11Speaker 3: The time is six thirty seven. Let's give out some advice.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Fellas sixty nine.
- 0:20Speaker 4: At gmail dot com get in touch with the Fellers.
- 0:25Speaker 4: Do you get in touch if you need with the Fellers.
- 0:31Speaker 4: If you need advice on anything, one anonymous and if
- 0:34Speaker 4: it's read out on the show, you get a prize.
- 0:37Speaker 4: Meet Patty Nips sixty nine at gmail dot com. This
- 0:39Speaker 4: one comes in from anonymous Fellers. Good day, guys, I
- 0:41Speaker 4: need advice, no names please. So me and my partner
- 0:45Speaker 4: watched Grand Designs every Sunday, just like Kesey's partner. My
- 0:49Speaker 4: partner has always had a soft spot for Tom, the
- 0:51Speaker 4: main guy. I've never had an issue with it, because,
- 0:54Speaker 4: let's be real, he's a celeb. But Sunday just gone.
- 0:58Speaker 4: It was different. She fell in love with the builder.
- 1:00Speaker 4: We were watching it and the main builder kept popping
- 1:02Speaker 4: up and she actually rewinded it to see his name.
- 1:05Speaker 4: She said he was good looking, didn't phaze me too
- 1:08Speaker 4: much until every time he popped up. She would be like, Oh,
- 1:10Speaker 4: he's doing such a good job, or oh he must
- 1:12Speaker 4: be a really kind businessman the way he's looking after
- 1:15Speaker 4: that family. And then the builder said that he was
- 1:18Speaker 4: going to beat the estimated timeline, and that's what tipped
- 1:20Speaker 4: her over the edge. Episodes finished, and I thought that
- 1:24Speaker 4: was that little did I believe what I saw? She
- 1:26Speaker 4: was actually searching him on Instagram later and that night
- 1:29Speaker 4: in bid let's just say his name is Ben the builder?
- 1:32Speaker 4: That was a builder's name. She then proceeded to show
- 1:34Speaker 4: me one of his photos where he's absolutely shredded. She says,
- 1:40Speaker 4: I think Grand design should get this guy to host
- 1:41Speaker 4: instead of Tom. So my conundrum is, do I forbid
- 1:46Speaker 4: us ever from watching Grand Designs again? Do I divorce her?
- 1:49Speaker 4: Or in Mogi's words, should I find bit and smack
- 1:51Speaker 4: him over. Please help with your advice.
- 1:54Speaker 5: Cheers, Well, it's got nothing to do with Ben.
- 1:57Speaker 4: He hasn't done anything wrong, has he?
- 1:59Speaker 6: No mean, I guess you know there's an opportunity here
- 2:03Speaker 6: to put the show on the other foot and see
- 2:04Speaker 6: how she likes that. I can't quite imagine trawling through
- 2:08Speaker 6: Instagram and finding her hotty and then showing my wife
- 2:11Speaker 6: and then saying that she should be the star in
- 2:14Speaker 6: every TV show.
- 2:15Speaker 4: That we and then like finding a photo of her
- 2:16Speaker 4: and a bikini or.
- 2:18Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, yeah, it seems yeah, seems a shame.
- 2:25Speaker 5: But you've got to break up with her.
- 2:26Speaker 4: You can bring hiss break because he's saying divorced. So they're
- 2:28Speaker 4: obviously married.
- 2:29Speaker 6: I've been married. Yeah, I mean she's got one foot
- 2:31Speaker 6: out of the door anyway.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Yeah, say it's any amount of time before they become lovers.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Sounds of that, So I mean i'd call it early
- 2:38Speaker 2: and preserve whatever dignity you've.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Got left, cut your losses.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Yeah, totally.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Just it's inevitable you're going to go with this guy,
- 2:46Speaker 2: so or try to or try to either way, I'm
- 2:50Speaker 2: not happy.
- 2:50Speaker 3: I'm on my way.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Because it is one thing to have like a celebrity,
- 2:53Speaker 4: you know, crush or whatever. But if it's just like
- 2:56Speaker 4: a guy who's a builder.
- 2:58Speaker 6: Tell of a relationship where you're sitting there watching the show.
- 3:00Speaker 6: You've seen someone you're like, you rewind it to get
- 3:03Speaker 6: the name so that you can search it on Instagram.
- 3:05Speaker 6: I mean, they've got a good relationship, these two, but
- 3:08Speaker 6: it feels like a friendship here yeah it does.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Okay, so obviously smack and Ben over it sounds like
- 3:16Speaker 4: he probably.
- 3:20Speaker 2: It's not Ben's fault that he's a stud, you know
- 3:24Speaker 2: what I mean, divorced.
- 3:26Speaker 6: It's old mate's fault here, what's his name? Anonymous? That
- 3:28Speaker 6: he's married a shocking bath.
- 3:31Speaker 3: I will tell you what I do find annoying. Good
- 3:34Speaker 3: looking dudes that are shredded, that are nice guys. That
- 3:38Speaker 3: annoys me.
- 3:38Speaker 5: Nice guy has finished last day, Yeah.
- 3:41Speaker 2: But not if they've got you know, and ebs and
- 3:46Speaker 2: so if you say, dude, you want it to be
- 3:48Speaker 2: a massive asshole? Yes, okay, mind you having well actually
- 3:53Speaker 2: having said that, that's that's playing. Unless Magie is pointing
- 3:56Speaker 2: out bad boy in the which is just as when
- 4:00Speaker 2: you can't win either way there, he's either a really
- 4:03Speaker 2: nice guy and a stud or be an absolute piece
- 4:08Speaker 2: of work. It's a bad boy and a stud. Yeah right,
- 4:12Speaker 2: so divorce, yes, and lead into.
- 4:14Speaker 5: The pro Yeah.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I don't see any other way through this.
- 4:17Speaker 6: Well.
- 4:17Speaker 4: I hope that helps. Meet padding up sixty nine at
- 4:20Speaker 4: gmail dot com. If you do need advice, get in.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Touch The Hodarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hodarkies.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Indeed Nirvana there on the radio Hodarchy Big Show this
- 4:33Speaker 2: Tuesday night at the time six thirty seven and today
- 4:37Speaker 2: New Zealand. Today is a very historic day on the
- 4:42Speaker 2: sporting calendar because on this day, five years ago this happened.
- 4:49Speaker 3: I'll show me again with the sammis and bowls to Taylor.
- 4:52Speaker 1: What time ha p.
- 4:55Speaker 3: And that's gonna go for sex? I think.
- 5:00Speaker 2: And after so much heartache, after so much pains, after
- 5:05Speaker 2: so much so.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Freak up, didn't.
- 5:07Speaker 2: You trickoners and now champions of the world.
- 5:18Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 5:18Speaker 6: I think hell of one of the great pieces of
- 5:21Speaker 6: radio or sporting commentary. I should say the should be
- 5:25Speaker 6: proud of yourself. You're saying that you sort of wrote
- 5:27Speaker 6: about twenty or thirty different options.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Yes, I need to work.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Yeah, did you actually or did you just say that?
- 5:34Speaker 3: I just said that. Really No, I wrote down thirty options.
- 5:38Speaker 5: You got to have options. You can't just come up
- 5:39Speaker 5: with these things off the calf.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:41Speaker 6: We talk about your Keith Quinn like when he saw
- 5:43Speaker 6: Joana Lombi score that try, he goes, oh, oh, I
- 5:48Speaker 6: don't think you didn't write down a few different options
- 5:50Speaker 6: before he came up with that gold.
- 5:52Speaker 5: But he didn't.
- 5:52Speaker 4: It wasn't the rumor that he dropped this piece of
- 5:54Speaker 4: paper or something.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Rumors he actually had put that on trade me. Oh yeah,
- 6:00Speaker 2: notes for that because his options for that particular moment
- 6:04Speaker 2: and ah ah sold for like forty seven thousand dollars
- 6:10Speaker 2: or something.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Why don't we sell yours for you fellers who are
- 6:13Speaker 4: massive cricketing Tragic's greatest moment in New Zealand.
- 6:16Speaker 6: Cricket history, Well, for me absolutely, I was in the
- 6:19Speaker 6: room with you, Jason. We were commentating that with Lane
- 6:22Speaker 6: and Heath and a huge moment. Easy because we're often
- 6:27Speaker 6: in the finals. We certainly have been the last ten
- 6:29Speaker 6: or so years, and we never went. Yeah, part's annoying.
- 6:31Speaker 6: I like being in the finals. I like getting down
- 6:33Speaker 6: to the semi finals even but I hate losing all
- 6:36Speaker 6: the time, and so to win in what is, in
- 6:39Speaker 6: my opinion, the greatest form of cricket agreed in the
- 6:42Speaker 6: very very first iteration of the World Tiest Championship, where
- 6:47Speaker 6: it's a two year rotation. Every test match you play,
- 6:49Speaker 6: well pretty much every test match you play has points
- 6:51Speaker 6: de allocated to it. At the end of the two years,
- 6:54Speaker 6: whoever's got the most amount of points meet in London
- 6:58Speaker 6: to play this one Test match and the winners declared
- 7:00Speaker 6: the greatest of all.
- 7:01Speaker 4: Time and it was India as well, and it was in.
- 7:03Speaker 5: India, which was magnificent.
- 7:05Speaker 6: The other thing that made it particularly special was that
- 7:08Speaker 6: Australia was on course to be in the final with India,
- 7:13Speaker 6: except they got DOC World Championship points because of a
- 7:18Speaker 6: slow overrate in one of their Test matches. And if
- 7:21Speaker 6: it wasn't for being DOC those points, they would have
- 7:24Speaker 6: been in the final instead of New Zealand. So we
- 7:26Speaker 6: snuck in by the bareest of margins. We didn't deserve
- 7:29Speaker 6: to be there, really, and then we smashed India.
- 7:32Speaker 3: I totally can caur Mogi.
- 7:35Speaker 2: And like you say, for a cricketing nation, we punch
- 7:39Speaker 2: well above our weights. We're always in semis or we
- 7:42Speaker 2: get into finals, we never win the bloody things.
- 7:45Speaker 3: And so to.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Finally be the world Test champions, and that was, as
- 7:49Speaker 2: Moggi were saying, the greatest thing, Test champions, not some
- 7:53Speaker 2: half fast tea twenty tournaments, not one day's Test champions.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Keezy, it was a great day.
- 8:00Speaker 4: How do you think they would stack up compared to say,
- 8:02Speaker 4: the Warriors winning the prey the premiership.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Ok, it's not even it's not even closer.
- 8:06Speaker 7: No, it doesn't the Warriors coming to really, yeah, it's
- 8:09Speaker 7: not nearly as impressive.
- 8:11Speaker 4: That's that's amazing that what was it? Was it twenty
- 8:13Speaker 4: twenty that happened.
- 8:15Speaker 6: Twenty twenty one, five years yes, five years ago to
- 8:20Speaker 6: the day. Cole Jamison Man of the match was seven
- 8:24Speaker 6: seven wickets I think it was twice.
- 8:26Speaker 3: It was a hell of a Test match. Was it
- 8:28Speaker 3: was this six days?
- 8:30Speaker 6: It was a risk it was not rained and so
- 8:33Speaker 6: they had a risky to carry over that ride.
- 8:35Speaker 5: It was over six days. CAZy going to be alive.
- 8:41Speaker 1: The whole actual Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio Hold Royal Blood.
- 8:48Speaker 2: There on the radio, Hold Archy Big Show this Wednesday evening.
- 8:52Speaker 2: The time is fourteen minutes past six o'clock and.
- 8:54Speaker 6: It's time for breaking news. This is breaking news, Fellows,
- 9:03Speaker 6: exciting stuff. The New Zealand favorite chocolate bar Perky Nana
- 9:11Speaker 6: really named one of the world's most sought after supermarket snacks,
- 9:17Speaker 6: finishing in the top nine. That's worldwide, Fellows. As part
- 9:21Speaker 6: of grocery tourism. Have you heard of grocery tourism before?
- 9:24Speaker 6: Jizbot No. Grocery tourism is when people visit supermarkets, food
- 9:29Speaker 6: market specially food chains or stores while traveling. Is a
- 9:34Speaker 6: way of experiencing a destination's culture. So you're perky Nana.
- 9:39Speaker 6: It's a unique chocolate bar available in New Zealand. It
- 9:43Speaker 6: was unique to New Zealand and it's it's hugely popular
- 9:46Speaker 6: apparently amongst tourists.
- 9:48Speaker 4: Wow, I like being a grocery tourist. But when we're
- 9:51Speaker 4: in London, Dam which isn't in Europe, Jason, but is
- 9:56Speaker 4: sort of in the vicinity simply.
- 9:57Speaker 5: The United Kingdom, sort of you up a Jason, It's
- 10:01Speaker 5: a Jason.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Okay.
- 10:03Speaker 4: We bought some Jammy Dodgers just because there was like
- 10:07Speaker 4: a you know, basically like a Shrewsbury, right, very nice.
- 10:12Speaker 7: We were in when we were in when we were
- 10:15Speaker 7: in Sydney, we were into the super market there and
- 10:20Speaker 7: got some apples those yeah.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Like you've got to try these, man.
- 10:27Speaker 4: What what breed of apple was it?
- 10:30Speaker 3: It was like a Granny Smith something great Smith.
- 10:34Speaker 5: Yeah was it a Grannie Smith?
- 10:35Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 10:36Speaker 3: Yeah, Wow, it's pretty cool.
- 10:37Speaker 6: Some of the other things in this top ten, the
- 10:40Speaker 6: propitious mango ice cream, which is a viral fruit shaped
- 10:44Speaker 6: dessert produced in China.
- 10:45Speaker 5: I've had that, have you? I hadn't heard of that,
- 10:48Speaker 5: but hugely popular. Keys He came into popularity in New
- 10:50Speaker 5: Zealand last year social searchers up by four hundred and
- 10:54Speaker 5: thirty six percent.
- 10:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 10:55Speaker 4: Yeah, so all the dairies in New Zealand started stocking them.
- 10:58Speaker 5: You have it. It's pretty nice, is it? What is it?
- 11:01Speaker 4: It's like an ice cream in the shape of an
- 11:03Speaker 4: and the top is the shape of the fruit. There's
- 11:05Speaker 4: a few different flavors and we're gonna got one because
- 11:08Speaker 4: it's and I find this with every viral TikTok food. Yeah,
- 11:11Speaker 4: you go and get it, and it's always not as
- 11:12Speaker 4: good as what you're picturing.
- 11:13Speaker 6: Yeah, but would you say a perky nana would be
- 11:17Speaker 6: something that people be stoked about once they've got their
- 11:19Speaker 6: paws on.
- 11:19Speaker 7: No.
- 11:19Speaker 4: I think perkinnana is like I reckon pineapple lumps better.
- 11:22Speaker 5: Than a perkinina. Well, this is the other thing you see,
- 11:24Speaker 5: because I would have thought Jeffers are better than a
- 11:27Speaker 5: perkinanay kew.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Except there are a real choking hazard. Jeffers. I'm always
- 11:33Speaker 3: paranoid with Jeffers.
- 11:34Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, no, that's true. What about a more o
- 11:38Speaker 5: a moro?
- 11:40Speaker 6: It's more?
- 11:41Speaker 5: Oh yeah more?
- 11:42Speaker 6: Oh?
- 11:42Speaker 5: Oh wow, I don't know that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 11:46Speaker 5: love it more. But I prefer to a to a
- 11:49Speaker 5: perky Nana perk. And that's a funny thing that's been
- 11:52Speaker 5: mispronounced wrong all this time as well. It's a perky
- 11:55Speaker 5: Nana Nana. Oh right, perky Nana and a.
- 11:59Speaker 4: More Oh and how do you pronounce crunchy?
- 12:04Speaker 5: No, that's right, it is.
- 12:06Speaker 4: Yeah, Okay, I think perky Nana is a shocking to
- 12:09Speaker 4: be honest.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not a fan of perky Nana's at all.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:13Speaker 6: Yeah, what about the the chocolate bar, because it gets
- 12:16Speaker 6: confused and doesn't it because we're talking about perky Nana's
- 12:19Speaker 6: man or so what were you or we're talking about
- 12:21Speaker 6: old ladies that have got a bit of a pep
- 12:23Speaker 6: in their step might have just brought themselves some new
- 12:25Speaker 6: white loafers.
- 12:26Speaker 4: No, I'm a big fan of them.
- 12:28Speaker 5: I'm a big fan of them.
- 12:29Speaker 2: You mean ten loafers, and you mean boots, women's boots,
- 12:34Speaker 2: not loafers.
- 12:34Speaker 5: And you mean stilettos.
- 12:36Speaker 4: Yeah, and we're referring to the shoes Jason's Wearing Right,
- 12:41Speaker 4: the whole Achy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio hold Ikey
