- 0:00Speaker 1: And it's traditional that at least one or two potential
- 0:04Speaker 1: presidential hopefuls attend the Correspondence Center, but many of them
- 0:09Speaker 1: seem to have really chickened out. I was disappointed that
- 0:13Speaker 1: Gavin Nouscomb didn't show up. He didn't show up. He
- 0:16Speaker 1: should be here, but I heard that he recently said
- 0:20Speaker 1: that we will lose our country if we don't fight
- 0:23Speaker 1: fire with fire. And to be fair, there's only one
- 0:27Speaker 1: thing we know about Gavin that that' said. He definitely
- 0:29Speaker 1: does didn't want to fight fire with water. He's got
- 0:31Speaker 1: a lot of water. Never uses what I desire, so
- 0:34Speaker 1: that shit has never happened.
- 0:36Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Good Monday morning. Nice to have you with us on
- 0:42Speaker 3: the forty seven Morning Update, and we've got two very
- 0:45Speaker 3: big stories for you. First up Berlin Pride Parade. Another
- 0:49Speaker 3: Islamic Terris Well, he's been shot and killed by police,
- 0:53Speaker 3: but not until he'd already done his carnage on so
- 0:56Speaker 3: many people in attendants. We have that story for you. Also,
- 1:00Speaker 3: de Acrewtit Party. They've been taken over by the communists,
- 1:03Speaker 3: Marxist and socialists. Now they're broke. Just how bad is it?
- 1:07Speaker 3: I'll explain it. It's a forty seven morning update and
- 1:10Speaker 3: it starts right now.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Berlin had a pride parade and Islamic terrasts well. He
- 1:17Speaker 3: was shot and killed by police after attacking countless people
- 1:22Speaker 3: on the ground. The suspected Islamic terrorists who drove a
- 1:26Speaker 3: van into a crowd of people at the Berlin Pride
- 1:29Speaker 3: parade on Saturday, he was shot and killed. According to
- 1:33Speaker 3: the German Daily Bill, the twenty one year old alleged
- 1:36Speaker 3: iss inspired terrists Yes Ice is inspired you heard that right,
- 1:41Speaker 3: was shot and killed during a swat team operation in
- 1:45Speaker 3: the Sandhu district of Berlin on Sunday. This came after
- 1:50Speaker 3: a manhunt was launched after a van was driven into
- 1:54Speaker 3: the parade at Christophers Street's Day Pride, killing one and
- 1:59Speaker 3: leaving twenty nine others injured. Now the paper reported that
- 2:04Speaker 3: the Special Task Force owned as the se K police
- 2:08Speaker 3: officers had come under attack from the suspect with a
- 2:10Speaker 3: blade after he was discovered hiding in a garden shed.
- 2:14Speaker 3: The officers returned fire and the suspect died at six
- 2:17Speaker 3: thirty four pm local time. Despite immediate resuscitation measures initiated
- 2:23Speaker 3: by the Berlin Fire Department. He died at the scene,
- 2:26Speaker 3: the police spokesman said Berlin's interior center Iris Spranger, of
- 2:32Speaker 3: these social democrats, thanked the police and said, I am
- 2:36Speaker 3: grateful for the security authorities for finding the attacker so quickly.
- 2:40Speaker 3: That is a great achievement. Here is how the local
- 2:44Speaker 3: news had the story when this all happened. In the
- 2:47Speaker 3: initial attack.
- 2:49Speaker 4: A colorful celebration that became a dark day for Berlin,
- 2:53Speaker 4: a van used to ram into crowds at the city's
- 2:55Speaker 4: biggest pride event before crashing into a tree. People were
- 3:00Speaker 4: then stabbed near the Brandenburg Gate with a blade now
- 3:04Speaker 4: thought to be a machete. One woman has died, twenty
- 3:08Speaker 4: nine others are injured, some critically remain come in. Those
- 3:15Speaker 4: remaining were told to evacuate. People started screw and.
- 3:20Speaker 2: We are like very like stressed out because we don't
- 3:23Speaker 2: know what's happening.
- 3:25Speaker 4: This is the man police have been hunting. Twenty one
- 3:28Speaker 4: year old Berlin Bourne abdoor Ballute was known to the police.
- 3:32Speaker 4: In the last hour, it's been confirmed he has been
- 3:35Speaker 4: shot and killed. Investigators are treating the incident as an
- 3:39Speaker 4: Islamist terrorist attack.
- 3:41Speaker 5: The Antium, and we're dealing here with a suspected perpetrator
- 3:46Speaker 5: who has previously attracted attention due to a high number
- 3:50Speaker 5: of criminal offenses, radicalization and belonging to the Islamist scene.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Authorities in Germany say they aren't ruling out copycat crime
- 4:00Speaker 4: tis The German Chancellor today visited the scene of what
- 4:03Speaker 4: has been described as a horrific attack.
- 4:07Speaker 6: See do not let yourselves, let us not let ourselves
- 4:12Speaker 6: be intimidated. These acts have only one purpose. They seek
- 4:17Speaker 6: to divide our society. And we will not allow this
- 4:20Speaker 6: poison of terrorism and this poison against our freedom to
- 4:24Speaker 6: continue to spread throughout our society.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Community left reeling have rallied together at a vigil, a
- 4:32Speaker 4: demonstration of unity today against extremism.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Well, what's interesting about that report is a couple of things. One,
- 4:42Speaker 3: he was known to police. Two they knew he had
- 4:45Speaker 3: a radical pass. Three they knew he had ties to
- 4:47Speaker 3: radical Islam. You have a twenty one year old that
- 4:52Speaker 3: attempted to join isis after driving a vehicle into a
- 4:55Speaker 3: crowd at this Pride event. Then he use that mischadious
- 4:59Speaker 3: stab victim. And then you have a country that has
- 5:02Speaker 3: had yet again open borders. You have an individual that
- 5:06Speaker 3: showed multiple signs that he was a threat to society,
- 5:10Speaker 3: but because of political correctness, they didn't put him in jail. Now,
- 5:14Speaker 3: this is, by the way, who the Democrats want in
- 5:18Speaker 3: our country with their open border policies. This is exactly
- 5:22Speaker 3: what so many had warned would happen in this country.
- 5:26Speaker 3: And we had a radical Muslim knife attack last week
- 5:30Speaker 3: in New York. When you allow for this type of
- 5:33Speaker 3: immigration from countries who preach hate against women, hate against gays,
- 5:41Speaker 3: hate against anyone that does not believe in what they
- 5:44Speaker 3: believe in, you get these types of Islamic terrorist attacks.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Make no mistake, this radical Islamic terror attack is not
- 5:52Speaker 3: going to be the last one. And yet again we
- 5:55Speaker 3: see that there was an individual that gave us every
- 5:58Speaker 3: warning sign that this is who he was, this is
- 6:02Speaker 3: what he was going to do, and that he was
- 6:06Speaker 3: not going to back down from his radical beliefs. That
- 6:10Speaker 3: is the part about this that is so incredibly frustrating,
- 6:14Speaker 3: because time and time again they show themselves for who
- 6:19Speaker 3: they actually are. They tell you what they believe in,
- 6:23Speaker 3: and Germany says, we're not going to allow this person
- 6:26Speaker 3: to as he described it, divide us right. We're not
- 6:29Speaker 3: going to allow this person to device say whatever you
- 6:33Speaker 3: want to say. You allow these radicals into your country.
- 6:37Speaker 3: They tell you they hate you, they tell you they
- 6:38Speaker 3: want to kill you, They tell you they want to
- 6:40Speaker 3: slaughter you. They tell you they want to take a
- 6:41Speaker 3: machete to you until you die. You really should believe them.
- 6:46Speaker 3: You should believe them every single time they tell you.
- 6:52Speaker 3: I wish I could say that this is a warning
- 6:54Speaker 3: that will hopefully quote wake people up. Unfortunately, in the
- 6:59Speaker 3: radical Democratic Party, no one has woken up every single
- 7:05Speaker 3: time this happens.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Next story number two.
- 7:08Speaker 3: So you know that the Democratic Party is filled with communist,
- 7:12Speaker 3: socialists and Marxists. The question now is is it actually
- 7:16Speaker 3: hurting the Democratic Party. I'm going to answer that question
- 7:20Speaker 3: for you by not me saying yes, but by telling
- 7:24Speaker 3: you exactly what has now been said about the chaos
- 7:27Speaker 3: and the Democratic National Committee. This is coming from the
- 7:31Speaker 3: New York Times, their headline inside the phone throwing drama
- 7:37Speaker 3: at the troubled, broke Democratic Party. The Democrat should be
- 7:42Speaker 3: well positioned to make gains in this year's midterms, but
- 7:45Speaker 3: inside party headquarters every week brings paranoia, worries about money,
- 7:51Speaker 3: and on occasion emotional eruptions. That's how The New York
- 7:56Speaker 3: Times is describing the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party is
- 8:00Speaker 3: so short on cash that leaders at its headquarters have
- 8:03Speaker 3: undertaken a new gambit to mass the severity of the problem,
- 8:07Speaker 3: asking vendors not to send bills until after the midterm elections.
- 8:12Speaker 3: So they're saying, hey, you guys can work for us,
- 8:14Speaker 3: we just can't pay you until after the election's over.
- 8:18Speaker 3: And I guess hopefully we will win and then money
- 8:19Speaker 3: will come in and it'll be fine. The bookkeeping maneuver,
- 8:23Speaker 3: which was described by three people briefed on it, is
- 8:26Speaker 3: the latest sign of financial duress for the Democratic National Committee,
- 8:31Speaker 3: and it's in battle leaders as money troubles threatened undercut
- 8:34Speaker 3: Democratic momentum. With just one hundred days left until the midterms,
- 8:38Speaker 3: so much is going politically right for Democrats these days.
- 8:42Speaker 3: President Terrump's approval is down. This again, I'm quoting for
- 8:45Speaker 3: The New York Times. Gas prices are up, and an
- 8:47Speaker 3: unpopular war with the Ran drags on, but dysfunction and
- 8:51Speaker 3: debt inside one of the party's key institutions, which is
- 8:55Speaker 3: getting crushed and fundraising by its Republican counterpart creating rising
- 9:00Speaker 3: anxiety for top Democrats at the center is Ken Martin.
- 9:05Speaker 3: He's a fifty three year old party chairman who has
- 9:09Speaker 3: found himself increasingly isolated, gripped by the fear that he
- 9:13Speaker 3: will lose his job, and relying on a well vanishing
- 9:17Speaker 3: small circle of people he trusts. According to interviews with
- 9:20Speaker 3: more than two dozen Democrats, including current and former DNC
- 9:25Speaker 3: officials and members, now, most of them spoke on the
- 9:28Speaker 3: condition of aminity to discuss the party's major trouble right
- 9:31Speaker 3: with their affairs. The article says, quote, mister Martin's fraying
- 9:36Speaker 3: nerves are showing. In a moment of frustration. In early July,
- 9:42Speaker 3: The New York Times reports he threw his phone at
- 9:44Speaker 3: the desk of a junior aide while un upbraiding the person.
- 9:50Speaker 3: The phone tossing incident results in a formal complaint to
- 9:54Speaker 3: the DNC's human resources department. Now, the fallout from the
- 9:59Speaker 3: phone throwing episod so it was described by half a
- 10:01Speaker 3: dozen people familiar with the incident. They say they were
- 10:04Speaker 3: not authorized to discuss internal party matters. None of them
- 10:08Speaker 3: witnessed the encounter, and there was some dispute over how aggressively.
- 10:13Speaker 3: The phone was tossed. You can't make this up. By
- 10:14Speaker 3: the way, mister Martin was said to have thrown the
- 10:18Speaker 3: phone at the desk rather than at the aid. Well,
- 10:20Speaker 3: isn't that nice? Like the guy in charge of the
- 10:21Speaker 3: DNC's mad at you. He doesn't throw the phone at you,
- 10:23Speaker 3: just throws at your desk instead of at you. Totally
- 10:26Speaker 3: fine the workplace, right. Mister Martin later met with DNC
- 10:30Speaker 3: human resources officials about his behavior, accorded to three of
- 10:33Speaker 3: the people, the Democrat National Committee declined to comment on
- 10:36Speaker 3: the incident. Mister Martin declined an interview request. Roger law,
- 10:40Speaker 3: the executive director of the DNC, said in a statement
- 10:42Speaker 3: that the bill deferral discussions were nothing more than standard
- 10:46Speaker 3: negotiations with vendors over contracts and payment processes. So again,
- 10:50Speaker 3: nothing to see here around the office and beyond, they
- 10:54Speaker 3: say the chairman of the DNC, mister Martin, has taken
- 10:57Speaker 3: to making joe to colleagues about how long you will
- 11:01Speaker 3: remain in his post, even though his term does not
- 11:04Speaker 3: end until twenty twenty nine. He is frustrated with the
- 11:07Speaker 3: tarnished public image of a party that he plainly loves
- 11:11Speaker 3: and has to vote his life to and that remains
- 11:14Speaker 3: bullish about November given President Trump's quote low approval ratings.
- 11:18Speaker 3: But the Democratic Party and its allies are far behind
- 11:21Speaker 3: Republicans when it comes to money. President Trump controls a
- 11:24Speaker 3: four hundred million dollar superpack and the Republican National Committee
- 11:27Speaker 3: is sitting on nearly one hundred and thirty million, and
- 11:30Speaker 3: mister Martin's DNC is yeah, two million dollars in debt. Now,
- 11:36Speaker 3: to put that in perspective, Trump controlling the four hundred
- 11:38Speaker 3: million superpack and then the RNC having one hundred and
- 11:41Speaker 3: thirty million means that's five hundred and thirty million to
- 11:44Speaker 3: negative two million in debt for the DNC. Now, the
- 11:47Speaker 3: Committee's role is not just to help Democrats win back
- 11:50Speaker 3: power in the midterms, but also to lead the party
- 11:52Speaker 3: in the twenty twenty eight presidential race, they say, including
- 11:55Speaker 3: overseeing the new primary calendar, while organizing debates and yeah,
- 11:59Speaker 3: announceational convention. Even supporters acknowledge mister Martin's growing sense of paranoia.
- 12:06Speaker 3: He confronted the party's finance director the spring over what
- 12:09Speaker 3: he thought was a budding coup against him, and before
- 12:14Speaker 3: he met with a top congressional Democrat Senator Chuck Schamer
- 12:17Speaker 3: of New York and Representative Haquem Jeffreys of New York.
- 12:20Speaker 3: In mid July, assurances were given to an ally of
- 12:24Speaker 3: mister Martin that the two party leaders did not plan
- 12:26Speaker 3: to use the gathering to call for the chairman's resignation.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Mister Martin, by the way, was elected last February to
- 12:35Speaker 3: a four year term by the roughly four hundred and
- 12:36Speaker 3: fifty members of the DNC, and only a vote of
- 12:39Speaker 3: the membership itself could push him out. So if you
- 12:43Speaker 3: want to know how bad it is at the DNC,
- 12:45Speaker 3: the Republicans have five hundred and thirty million in their
- 12:48Speaker 3: war chest to fight for the midterms and the Democrats
- 12:50Speaker 3: are negative two million. This also tells you that the Communists,
- 12:54Speaker 3: the Socialists, and the Marxists they're in charge. The Democrats
- 13:00Speaker 3: party is not. The Communists, the Socialists, and the Marxists
- 13:04Speaker 3: are fully in charge. They're not going anywhere. They own
- 13:10Speaker 3: the place.
