- 6:13Speaker 4: By the end of the show, you're going to hear
- 6:15Speaker 4: those two songs. So we are going to get into it,
- 6:17Speaker 4: but oh my lord! So... Before I recorded this show,
- 6:22Speaker 4: the Chicago White Sox have advanced to the American League
- 6:28Speaker 4: Divisional Series. And they won their first series since 2005.
- 6:35Speaker 4: And we all remember what happened that year. We didn't
- 6:39Speaker 4: stop believing and the White Sox won the World Series.
- 6:43Speaker 4: So we'll see there. Also earlier in the day, the
- 6:47Speaker 4: Philadelphia Eagles, or not Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies. We'll talk
- 6:52Speaker 4: Eagles in a minute. The Phillies ended up tying their
- 6:56Speaker 4: series up at one with the Atlanta Braves. So they
- 6:59Speaker 4: will go on. So if you're hearing this Thursday, Thursday
- 7:02Speaker 4: we have one guaranteed game. And that is Atlanta and
- 7:09Speaker 4: the Phillies in a game three. Winner goes on to
- 7:13Speaker 4: the National League Divisional Series. As I'm recording this right now,
- 7:18Speaker 4: the Boston Red Sox are playing against the New York Yankees.
- 7:22Speaker 4: I'll see where that game is. It's the top of
- 7:24Speaker 4: the second, still 0-0. Of course, the Yankees will lead
- 7:28Speaker 4: that Series 1 game to none. So if they win
- 7:31Speaker 4: against Boston, then they will advance to the next round.
- 7:37Speaker 4: And then, of course, the Chicago Cubs, my Chicago Cubs,
- 7:40Speaker 4: play at 9 o'clock on the night I'm recording this.
- 7:43Speaker 4: So we will know by next week who's in the
- 7:47Speaker 4: National League and American League Divisional Series. In fact, by
- 7:50Speaker 4: the time we do the show Wednesday, we'll already be
- 7:53Speaker 4: into it because I'm going to tell you the schedule
- 7:56Speaker 4: for the AL and NLDS in the baseball segment. So
- 8:00Speaker 4: let's kick it off like we always do with college
- 8:02Speaker 4: football and let's talk a little bit of NCAA. Alright,
- 8:06Speaker 4: so Week 4 of college football was in the books
- 8:12Speaker 4: last week. Let's go over my 10 that they let
- 8:15Speaker 4: me choose. I still don't understand it. Last year I
- 8:17Speaker 4: was able to basically pick every college game. It won't
- 8:22Speaker 4: even let me choose the college games for... It won't
- 8:28Speaker 4: even let me choose for, you know, like the top
- 8:31Speaker 4: 25 teams. Like, they're in the top 25, so it's
- 8:34Speaker 4: kind of weird. Last week I went 4-6. I am 22-18.
- 8:39Speaker 4: for the year. So let's go and see how I
- 8:44Speaker 4: did last week in the games. I picked the number
- 8:47Speaker 4: one Texas Longhorns to beat the number 14 Tennessee Volunteers,
- 8:52Speaker 4: and they did. Tennessee had their first loss of the
- 8:55Speaker 4: season there, 20-17. Let's see. I picked the number four
- 9:01Speaker 4: Ole Miss Rebels to beat the number 21 Florida Gators,
- 9:05Speaker 4: and they did not. The Florida Gators... Beat that ass 52-28,
- 9:10Speaker 4: so that's pretty crazy. I picked, of course, my Michigan
- 9:13Speaker 4: Wolverines to win. Number 18 over number 17, Iowa Hawkeyes.
- 9:19Speaker 4: Both teams were 3-0 going into that game. Michigan is
- 9:23Speaker 4: now 3-1. They lost their first game of the season 20-19.
- 9:29Speaker 4: The Boise State Broncos, I picked them to beat Western
- 9:33Speaker 4: Michigan Broncos, and they did. 32-7 in a shellacking. I
- 9:38Speaker 4: picked the Nebraska Cornhuskers to beat the Michigan State Spartans,
- 9:43Speaker 4: and they did 31-13. I picked James Madison Dukes over
- 9:49Speaker 4: the Old Dominion Monarchs, and they are now 4-0, James
- 9:53Speaker 4: Madison Dukes. They won 46-20. Let's see. I picked the
- 9:56Speaker 4: Kansas State... Wildcats to beat the Cincinnati Bearcats, and they
- 10:05Speaker 4: did not. They lost 31-26. I picked OSU, Oklahoma State Cowboys,
- 10:12Speaker 4: to beat the West Virginia Mountaineers. And no, I picked, sorry,
- 10:19Speaker 4: I picked the West Virginia Mountaineers to win. And they
- 10:23Speaker 4: lost 41-24. I picked the number 20 Oregon Ducks, or no,
- 10:29Speaker 4: I picked the number 12 USC Trojans to beat the
- 10:32Speaker 4: number 20 Oregon Ducks and they did not. They lost
- 10:35Speaker 4: that game 41-27. And then finally, I picked the number
- 10:42Speaker 4: 19 Missouri Tigers to beat the number 24 Mississippi State Bulldogs,
- 10:47Speaker 4: and they did not. Mississippi State won 31-24, and they
- 10:52Speaker 4: are 4-0 right now. Crazy. That is nuts. So that
- 10:56Speaker 4: was last week. Let's see what I picked for this
- 10:59Speaker 4: week out of those teams. Pretty crazy. It kind of
- 11:04Speaker 4: makes me mad that I can't pick all the games,
- 11:08Speaker 4: but That would take forever. Let's see. So this week
- 11:12Speaker 4: I took the number seven Alabama Crimson Tide, Roll Tide,
- 11:17Speaker 4: to beat the number 16 Mississippi State Bulldogs. Both teams
- 11:21Speaker 4: are 4-0, so we'll see what happens there. Let's see.
- 11:25Speaker 4: I've got the West Virginia Mountaineers at 3-1 to beat
- 11:29Speaker 4: Iowa State Cyclones, who are 2-2. I've got my Michigan
- 11:33Speaker 4: Wolverines to win... over the Minnesota Golden Gophers right now.
- 11:40Speaker 4: So we'll see what happens there. Number five, Ohio State.
- 11:44Speaker 4: As much as I hate Ohio State, I had to
- 11:47Speaker 4: take them because they're taking on the Iowa Hawkeyes. And
- 11:51Speaker 4: we couldn't beat Iowa last week. So I'm kind of
- 11:54Speaker 4: hoping that Ohio State wins it in a shellacking. We'll
- 11:59Speaker 4: see what happens there against number 14, Iowa Hawkeyes. Number eight,
- 12:04Speaker 4: Florida Gators. face off against number 25, Missouri Tigers. And
- 12:10Speaker 4: I took Florida Gators to win that. Now, I'm saying
- 12:13Speaker 4: number eight, but I don't know if that's the standings
- 12:16Speaker 4: that everybody has right now. I do know that Michigan
- 12:21Speaker 4: is not in the rankings anymore because of that loss,
- 12:24Speaker 4: so I'm guessing that's updated. But we'll see, because I
- 12:27Speaker 4: do go over the rankings really quick at the end.
- 12:30Speaker 4: Virginia Cavaliers, I took them to beat the Florida State Seminoles.
- 12:34Speaker 4: I took the number 24 Kentucky Wildcats to beat the
- 12:38Speaker 4: South Carolina Gamecocks. So we'll see what happens there. I
- 12:42Speaker 4: took 3-0 number 10 BYU Cougars to beat the TCU
- 12:47Speaker 4: Horned Dogs. Horned Frogs. I'm trying to say it slow
- 12:54Speaker 4: so it doesn't make me sound weird. The TCU Horned Frogs,
- 12:59Speaker 4: who are 2-2. We've got the Baylor Bears at 3-1.
- 13:03Speaker 4: I took them over the 2-1 Arizona State Sun Devils.
- 13:08Speaker 4: And finally, I took the Cincinnati Bearcats, who are 4-0,
- 13:14Speaker 4: to lose. Actually, you know what? I'm going to change
- 13:18Speaker 4: that on the fly. I'm going to take Cincinnati on
- 13:20Speaker 4: that one. I think the Bearcats are going to beat
- 13:22Speaker 4: the Arizona Wildcats. So I'm going to take that. So
- 13:25Speaker 4: there we go. That is my predictions. We will see
- 13:27Speaker 4: how I do next week and hopefully better than last
- 13:32Speaker 4: week because four and six is not good. But I'm
- 13:35Speaker 4: 22 and 18 for the year, so I'm still above
- 13:38Speaker 4: 500 for now. We'll see what happens after this week. But, yeah,
- 13:42Speaker 4: let's go over the rankings really quick for college before
- 13:46Speaker 4: we move on to the NFL. All right, so here
- 13:49Speaker 4: we go from 25 to 21. Dropping six spots to
- 13:54Speaker 4: number 25, Missouri, who are three and one. Number 24
- 14:00Speaker 4: is three and one in Kentucky, who went up three
- 14:02Speaker 4: spots and got back in the top 25. Number 23
- 14:07Speaker 4: up 14 spots. So they were not even in it.
- 14:10Speaker 4: Four and O, UCLA. Number 22 up nine spots was
- 14:15Speaker 4: Boise State, who is now three and one. Number 21,
- 14:20Speaker 4: up one spot, is SMU at 3-1. Number 20, up
- 14:22Speaker 4: five spots, is Houston at 3-1. Let's see. At 19,
- 14:24Speaker 4: up 11 spots, is Oklahoma State, who are 3-1. Down
- 14:26Speaker 4: six spots to 18 is USC, who are 4-1. Number 17,
- 14:30Speaker 4: down three spots at 3-1, is Tennessee.
- 14:32Speaker 5: Let's see.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Number 16, up eight spots, is Mississippi State at 4-0.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Number 15, up five spots, is Iowa at 4-0. Number 13,
- 14:57Speaker 4: up two spots, is Utah at 4-0. Number 12, down
- 15:01Speaker 4: one spot, is Texas Tech at 4-0. Number 11, down
- 15:06Speaker 4: one spot, is LSU at 3-1. Let's see, at number 10,
- 15:12Speaker 4: down one spot, is BYU, who are 3-0. BYU plays
- 15:17Speaker 4: TCU on October 3rd. That's pretty crazy. Down five spots
- 15:23Speaker 4: to number nine is Ole Miss, who are 3-1. At
- 15:28Speaker 4: number eight, up 13 spots is the Florida Gators, who
- 15:32Speaker 4: are 4-0. Number seven, up one spot is Alabama, Roll Tide.
- 15:39Speaker 4: Number six, down one spot is Indiana at 4-0. Up
- 15:45Speaker 4: two spots at number five is Ohio State at 3-1.
- 15:48Speaker 4: Up two spots at number four is the University of Miami.
- 15:54Speaker 4: They are 4-0. Number three, they were here last week
- 16:00Speaker 4: at 4-0, is Notre Dame. Number two from last week
- 16:03Speaker 4: is Georgia at 4-0. And number one from last week
- 16:07Speaker 4: is Texas at 4-0. So there is your NCAA Top
- 16:11Speaker 4: 25 teams list. Hopefully your school will find a way
- 16:16Speaker 4: to get in there. Hopefully Michigan gets back in if
- 16:18Speaker 4: they can win. Michigan only received 54 votes, so that's
- 16:27Speaker 4: why they didn't get in, which I didn't think they would.
- 16:29Speaker 4: But after losing that one, you're going to bounce down,
- 16:33Speaker 4: and it had to happen. All right, let's go and
- 16:35Speaker 4: talk some NFL. I am excited about this. When I
- 16:40Speaker 4: say NFL, It is a wild time to be a
- 16:43Speaker 4: Chicago sports fan. It's a wild time, okay? We have
- 16:49Speaker 4: the Sox who officially moved on to the ALDS for
- 16:55Speaker 4: the first time since 2005 when they won the World Series.
- 17:01Speaker 4: We have the Cubs who, as of this recording, are
- 17:06Speaker 4: down one game to none. They haven't played yet. They
- 17:09Speaker 4: play at 9 o'clock that night. So by tomorrow, you'll
- 17:12Speaker 4: know if it's good to be a Chicago Cubs fan
- 17:14Speaker 4: because they could be a tied series going into Game 3,
- 17:19Speaker 4: which would mean that they would be in a win
- 17:21Speaker 4: or go home at the same time as... Why can't
- 17:27Speaker 4: I think of who they're playing? Oh, San Diego. Sorry.
- 17:31Speaker 4: My bad. I'm getting old. You can tell the difference
- 17:35Speaker 4: between old shows to now because the older I get,
- 17:38Speaker 4: I do forget things once in a while, even in
- 17:40Speaker 4: the train of thought and thinking and talking. So the
- 17:45Speaker 4: Cubs will know by the time you hear this show
- 17:49Speaker 4: if they were eliminated from the playoffs or if they
- 17:52Speaker 4: are in a game three to get into the playoffs.
- 17:55Speaker 4: The Blackhawks, they lost their first game on Tuesday night
- 18:00Speaker 4: or Wednesday. Tuesday. Tuesday night, they lost their first game
- 18:06Speaker 4: to the Vegas Golden Knights, but Patrick Kane scored his
- 18:11Speaker 4: first goal back with the Blackhawks. And if this wasn't enough,
- 18:18Speaker 4: now the Bulls don't play yet, and the Chicago Sky,
- 18:21Speaker 4: they're just trash right now. So I don't even want
- 18:24Speaker 4: to talk about them. They're not doing good. We'll talk
- 18:26Speaker 4: a little WNBA next week. We haven't really talked about
- 18:29Speaker 4: anything WNBA since I got back on the show, but
- 18:33Speaker 4: the playoffs are starting soon for the WNBA, so we'll
- 18:36Speaker 4: talk that next week. But, you know, like, one thing
- 18:41Speaker 4: we did not talk about is a Monday night shellacking
- 18:48Speaker 4: on the lakefront at Soldier Field. But it wasn't who
- 18:52Speaker 4: you would think. Because walking into that game, I would
- 18:57Speaker 4: say 70% of Bears fans and probably 80%, 90% of
- 19:06Speaker 4: the people who talk football did not have the bears
- 19:11Speaker 4: having a shot in hell to beat the Philadelphia Eagles
- 19:16Speaker 4: with case Keenum as the quarterback. And boy, were they wrong?
- 19:20Speaker 4: Let's go over this. The bears win 27 to seven.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Even I didn't pick the bears. I don't think I'm
- 19:27Speaker 4: going to go over what I picked last week, but
- 19:29Speaker 4: I don't think, I think I picked Philly. Um, I
- 19:35Speaker 4: don't know. You know what? I never look back to see.
- 19:38Speaker 4: We'll find out in a minute when I go over
- 19:40Speaker 4: that for last week. But yeah, just crazy. Just freaking crazy.
- 19:47Speaker 4: Bears gave him a shellacking. 27-7 on Monday Night Football,
- 19:53Speaker 4: led by a 38-year-old quarterback who isn't old in regular standards,
- 19:59Speaker 4: but is in football standards. But let's go and talk
- 20:03Speaker 4: about the team stats. So let's start with Philly. Total yards,
- 20:07Speaker 4: 248 yards. The Bears had 375 total yards. Passing, 141
- 20:11Speaker 4: yards passing, 247 yards for the Bears. Rushing, Philadelphia, 107
- 20:15Speaker 4: rushing yards to the Bears, 128. 5.3 yards per play
- 20:17Speaker 4: for Philly, 5.4 yards per play for the Chicago Bears.
- 20:19Speaker 4: First down, the Bears won that 24-14. For third down conversions,
- 20:40Speaker 4: Bears 5-13, 2-9 for Philly. Fourth down, 0-2 for Philly,
- 20:46Speaker 4: 2-3 for the Bears. Bears had 69 total plays, 47
- 20:52Speaker 4: total plays for the Philadelphia Eagles. Sacks! The Bears got sacked...
- 21:01Speaker 4: zero times. Wait. Yeah. Eagles twice. Bears... Only punted twice,
- 21:09Speaker 4: they punted four times. Penalty yards, only 5 for 45
- 21:13Speaker 4: for the Bears. That's a very big decrease from the
- 21:17Speaker 4: last couple of weeks. 10 for 61 for the Eagles.
- 21:23Speaker 4: Fumble for the Eagles and two interceptions. Bears had zero turnovers.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Time of possession, the Bears won it 36 minutes and
- 21:31Speaker 4: 53 seconds to 23 seconds. Minutes and seven seconds for
- 21:39Speaker 4: the Eagles. And then tackles, 37 for the Eagles, 27
- 21:44Speaker 4: for the Bears. Bears made both field goals, and they
- 21:47Speaker 4: were two for five from the red zone. The Eagles
- 21:50Speaker 4: were one and two. Let's go over player stats really quick.
- 21:56Speaker 4: We'll go with Eagles first. Jalen Hurts threw 16 of
- 21:59Speaker 4: 25 for 153 yards and one interception. He was sacked twice.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Andy Dalton came in and went 0-1 with an interception.
- 22:11Speaker 4: He threw the interception in the end zone to Dylan Thiedemann.
- 22:16Speaker 4: And then on rushing, 15-82 for Saquon Barkley. He had
- 22:22Speaker 4: no touchdowns. Jalen Hurts rushed four times for 25 yards
- 22:27Speaker 4: and a touchdown. Devontae Smith had six receptions for 65 yards.
- 22:33Speaker 4: Wicks had two for 32 yards. Lemon, 3 for 29. Shipley,
- 22:38Speaker 4: 1 for 11. Zach Ertz, who actually was able to start,
- 22:44Speaker 4: and they activated him, I believe, that day. He played.
- 22:48Speaker 4: He got 1 for 9. Tank Bigsby, 1 for 5.
- 22:53Speaker 4: And Saquon Barkley, 1 for negative 2. All right, let's
- 22:57Speaker 4: move on to the Bears and see what they did.
- 23:02Speaker 4: Case Keenum, the 38-year-old amazing quarterback backup, third stringer for
- 23:07Speaker 4: the Bears. He was 24 of 34, 247 yards, two touchdowns,
- 23:14Speaker 4: no interceptions, and he did not get sacked at all.
- 23:18Speaker 4: DeAndre Swift ran 20 times for 84 yards. Kyle Menungai,
- 23:23Speaker 4: 10 for 31. Luther Burden, 1 for 7. And Keenum,
- 23:28Speaker 4: 4 for 6, and he rushed for a touchdown. Jesus Lord,
- 23:32Speaker 4: that's crazy. Kalief Raymond had six receptions for 90 yards
- 23:37Speaker 4: and a touchdown. Luther Burden, seven for 61 and a touchdown.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Roma Dunze, three for 44 and a touchdown. Colston Loveland,
- 23:47Speaker 4: four for 31. Sam Rausch won for 16, and that
- 23:51Speaker 4: was a big one. DeAndre Swift, two for four. Zach
- 23:55Speaker 4: Thomas won for one yard. And that's it. Cole Komet.
- 24:01Speaker 4: had one target, and he missed it. Roman Dunzey had
- 24:05Speaker 4: six targets, only got three of them. So he kind of...
- 24:11Speaker 4: I don't know. Roman's struggling a little bit. I'm going
- 24:13Speaker 4: to talk about that probably in the next few weeks.
- 24:15Speaker 4: We'll talk a little more about that. But let's look
- 24:18Speaker 4: and see what we had on the defense. Six tackles
- 24:22Speaker 4: for Thienemann and one interception. The fumble recovery... that they
- 24:29Speaker 4: had was Xavier Woods. It's a new day. Yes, it is.
- 24:34Speaker 4: Austin Booker had one forced fumble. Dio Odengbo had one sack.
- 24:45Speaker 4: And Montez Sweat had a sack. So pretty good there.
- 24:48Speaker 4: And then that's it. So that was the Bears. And
- 24:52Speaker 4: of course, I don't think anybody saw this coming. Case
- 24:57Speaker 4: Keenum is making a case for him to be QB2.
- 25:03Speaker 4: I don't know. As of today, as of Wednesday when
- 25:08Speaker 4: I taped this, the Bears had no idea who was
- 25:13Speaker 4: going to be the starter. They said it's between three quarterbacks,
- 25:16Speaker 4: so I'm guessing Caleb. He could come back at any time.
- 25:20Speaker 4: They said they upgraded it to a grade two, and
- 25:25Speaker 4: that's usually a three to four week recovery. He recovers quick,
- 25:29Speaker 4: but I think he comes back for the Packers. I
- 25:31Speaker 4: don't think you're going to see Caleb Williams back in
- 25:36Speaker 4: a Bears uniform until at least week five against the Packers.
- 25:41Speaker 4: And that's the minimum because that would put him at,
- 25:45Speaker 4: that would be three weeks in to the injury because
- 25:48Speaker 4: he injured it in that one game. And sorry, my
- 25:54Speaker 4: chair's making noise. That definitely is the chair. Um, He
- 25:59Speaker 4: injured it on a Sunday. So one week technically would
- 26:06Speaker 4: have been this game. Two weeks would be the game
- 26:12Speaker 4: coming up this Sunday. Yeah, Sunday. Monday was the first week.
- 26:17Speaker 4: This will be the second week. So he could come
- 26:20Speaker 4: back for the Packers. That would be a kind of
- 26:23Speaker 4: three-week recovery. Or he could come back the week after.
- 26:28Speaker 4: They could have held them out for four full games.
- 26:32Speaker 4: So that would be Monday Night Football last week, and
- 26:34Speaker 4: then this game Sunday against the Jets, and then the Packers,
- 26:39Speaker 4: you know, and stuff. But I'm sure he's going to
- 26:41Speaker 4: want to come back as soon as possible because, you know,
- 26:46Speaker 4: these are the games they have before the bye week
- 26:48Speaker 4: coming up. And when I did my prediction, I said
- 26:54Speaker 4: the Bears were going to be 2-1 at this point.
- 26:57Speaker 4: But I thought they were going to beat Carolina and
- 27:00Speaker 4: then Minnesota and lose to Philly. They flip-flopped it. They
- 27:05Speaker 4: beat Carolina. They lost to the Vikings. And then they
- 27:10Speaker 4: beat Philadelphia. So I didn't see that coming. But I
- 27:13Speaker 4: am on track with my prediction. They got the Jets
- 27:16Speaker 4: this weekend. Then you go to the Packers and play
- 27:19Speaker 4: them next Sunday. Then you're at the Falcons. If he
- 27:24Speaker 4: does not come back by the Packers... I think he
- 27:27Speaker 4: will be back by the Falcons. But if not, he
- 27:30Speaker 4: will definitely be there for Thursday night football. I think
- 27:34Speaker 4: it's Thursday night. Let me see. October 22nd. Is that
- 27:40Speaker 4: a Thursday night? Because if it's a Thursday night football
- 27:43Speaker 4: game against the Patriots. Let's see. October 22nd. 2026 day. Thursday.
- 27:55Speaker 4: So it is a Thursday night football game. against the Patriots.
- 27:58Speaker 4: So if they say no, I think that's the best time, though.
- 28:05Speaker 4: You want Caleb to get a few games under his belt.
- 28:08Speaker 4: You want him to come back for the Packers. And
- 28:10Speaker 4: then you want him on a short week before they
- 28:14Speaker 4: take on the Falcons and then they take on the
- 28:17Speaker 4: Patriots on a Thursday night. I would want that for
- 28:20Speaker 4: him because I feel like he needs to get those
- 28:23Speaker 4: reps back in. So I think that they should try
- 28:27Speaker 4: to get him back for that game. But all in all,
- 28:31Speaker 4: it's been an amazing time to be a Chicago fan.
- 28:36Speaker 4: I mean, Case Keenum was amazing. Nobody pictured him doing
- 28:40Speaker 4: what he did. And I think he has a good case.
- 28:43Speaker 4: And I would say play Tyson Bajan this week. And
- 28:46Speaker 4: I'll tell you why. Even though I will be happy
- 28:49Speaker 4: with Case Keenum, I want to see against a not-so-great
- 28:54Speaker 4: Jets team. How Tyson Bajan performs. Because I am not
- 29:01Speaker 4: a Tyson Bajan guy. Okay? I think Bajan is not
- 29:08Speaker 4: that great. How can you think that? Look what he
- 29:12Speaker 4: does in the preseason. Look what he's done in the
- 29:14Speaker 4: regular season. Three touchdowns to six interceptions and only 859 yards?
- 29:19Speaker 4: That is nothing. And even though, yes, he's not a
- 29:28Speaker 4: full-fledged starter in the league, let's look at his stats
- 29:33Speaker 4: really quick. All right, so let's start, and we'll go
- 29:37Speaker 4: over his games. In 2023, his rookie year, he played one, two, three, four,
- 29:46Speaker 4: five games. He played in five games. His first game
- 29:52Speaker 4: was a loss to Minnesota, but I'm not sure if
- 29:54Speaker 4: he came in that game. I think he came in
- 29:57Speaker 4: that game later. Okay, he didn't play the full game.
- 30:02Speaker 4: In the time he was in, he was 10 of
- 30:04Speaker 4: 14 for 83 yards, and he threw an interception, no touchdowns.
- 30:09Speaker 4: His second game was a full game, and it was
- 30:13Speaker 4: against the Raiders. They won 30-12, but he only was
- 30:19Speaker 4: 162 yards and one touchdown. That's all he threw for
- 30:23Speaker 4: a whole game against Las Vegas Raiders. At that time,
- 30:26Speaker 4: we're not good of a team. Then he played the Chargers,
- 30:30Speaker 4: and it looked like this was a complete game. And
- 30:33Speaker 4: he went 25-37 for 232 yards. Not bad. But he
- 30:36Speaker 4: threw no touchdowns and two interceptions in that loss. Then,
- 30:38Speaker 4: against New Orleans, they lost 24-17. He was 18-30 for
- 30:40Speaker 4: 220 yards, but he had two touchdowns and three interceptions
- 30:43Speaker 4: in that game. So, I mean, if you look, these
- 30:59Speaker 4: stats are not that great. Even for a backup. And
- 31:04Speaker 4: then against Carolina, he won that game 16-13. He threw
- 31:08Speaker 4: 162 yards. No touchdowns, no picks in that game. I just,
- 31:16Speaker 4: I don't see it. From what I look at, I
- 31:19Speaker 4: just don't see it. 2024... Let's see. It looks like
- 31:31Speaker 4: he played in four games. I don't know. Maybe not.
- 31:41Speaker 4: I'm kind of just looking. I don't see it. Maybe not. 2024,
- 31:43Speaker 4: it looks like he didn't play a lot. He was
- 31:47Speaker 4: like one for one, one for one. So we're not
- 31:50Speaker 4: going to look at that. 2025 last year. He didn't
- 31:55Speaker 4: play much. He only came in, and then this year
- 32:00Speaker 4: he came in for the one game. So, I mean,
- 32:02Speaker 4: he hasn't played a lot, but it doesn't matter. It's
- 32:05Speaker 4: what you make of the time. Case Keenum came in
- 32:08Speaker 4: and threw 247 yards and two touchdowns, no picks. Against Philadelphia,
- 32:17Speaker 4: not a shabby team. Bajent... is being paid a lot
- 32:26Speaker 4: of money. He should have came in and won that
- 32:30Speaker 4: game for the Bears. There was no excuse for that.
- 32:35Speaker 4: A backup that comes in because of an injury usually
- 32:39Speaker 4: will come in and a lot of time they can
- 32:42Speaker 4: lead them down the field because they're not seen a lot.
- 32:46Speaker 4: So teams don't know how to prepare for a backup.
- 32:51Speaker 4: I have a feeling, and my friend Mike said the
- 32:54Speaker 4: same thing, if Case Keenum would have came in that game,
- 32:59Speaker 4: Bears would have been 3-0 right now, not 2-1. So
- 33:05Speaker 4: we'll see what happens, but I have a feeling we're
- 33:09Speaker 4: going to see Tyson Bajan Sunday for it because I
- 33:15Speaker 4: would like to see if he does flop. I want
- 33:18Speaker 4: to see what the fans say. Because you could always
- 33:21Speaker 4: see how he does in the first two quarters. If
- 33:24Speaker 4: he stinks at the half, you bring in Case Keenum.
- 33:29Speaker 4: Just hope and pray that they're not behind much when
- 33:33Speaker 4: Keenum comes in. Because it's easier to play with the
- 33:36Speaker 4: lead than it is to play when you're down as
- 33:42Speaker 4: a backup coming in. So we'll see what happens there.
- 33:47Speaker 4: And hopefully the Bears win. All right, let me go
- 33:50Speaker 4: over this week's teams and who I think is going
- 33:54Speaker 4: to win. So not too bad. Last week, I'm 31-17
- 34:00Speaker 4: total for the year. So I'm well above 500 right now.
- 34:05Speaker 4: In week three, I went 10-6. Not bad. Not bad.
- 34:10Speaker 4: I picked the Atlanta Falcons to beat the Green Bay Packers,
- 34:14Speaker 4: and they did, 35-14. I picked... the Carolina Panthers to
- 34:22Speaker 4: beat Cleveland. The Cleveland Browns are 2-1 right now. That
- 34:26Speaker 4: is just crazy. I picked the Detroit Lions to beat
- 34:31Speaker 4: the New York Jets and they did 31-24. I picked
- 34:33Speaker 4: the now 3-0 Kansas City Chiefs to beat Miami and
- 34:40Speaker 4: they did 24-10. I picked the Cincinnati Bengals over the
- 34:46Speaker 4: Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh won 30-27. I picked the Jacksonville Jaguars
- 34:53Speaker 4: to beat the New England Patriots, and they did, 35-6. Wow,
- 34:57Speaker 4: Jacksonville's 2-1. The Buffalo Bills, I picked them over the Chargers,
- 35:02Speaker 4: and they did. They won 24-16. Was that the game
- 35:07Speaker 4: in Rio de Janeiro, or was it something else? I'll
- 35:10Speaker 4: have to look. The Houston Texans, I picked them to
- 35:13Speaker 4: beat the Indianapolis Colts, and they didn't. They lost 19-17.
- 35:18Speaker 4: Stupid Houston is now 0-3. New York Giants, I picked
- 35:22Speaker 4: them to beat the Titans, and they did. Titans are
- 35:26Speaker 4: 0-3 now. New York won 12-7. I picked the Seahawks
- 35:32Speaker 4: to beat the Washington Commanders, and they didn't. Washington won 33-31.
- 35:40Speaker 4: I picked San Francisco to beat the Cardinals, and they did.
- 35:45Speaker 4: They won 36-30. I picked the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to
- 35:49Speaker 4: beat the Vikings, and the Vikings won 23-16. I picked
- 35:54Speaker 4: Baltimore over Dallas. That was the game in Rio de Janeiro.
- 35:59Speaker 4: Baltimore won 34-31. Crazy. I picked the Vegas Raiders, and
- 36:05Speaker 4: they did it again, 3-0. They beat the New Orleans Saints,
- 36:08Speaker 4: who are now 1-2. They beat Los Angeles Rams. I
- 36:12Speaker 4: picked over Denver. Denver won 30-26 on Sunday Night Football.
- 36:18Speaker 4: And then, of course, Monday Night Football. I picked the
- 36:21Speaker 4: Bears on this one. I did not pick them on
- 36:24Speaker 4: my other one, but I just said, you know what?
- 36:26Speaker 4: I'm going to run with it. Let's have fun. Bears
- 36:29Speaker 4: are going to win. I thought it was going to
- 36:30Speaker 4: be a close game. It ended up being Bears 27-7.
- 36:33Speaker 4: That is crazy. Now let's see what we got for
- 36:38Speaker 4: week four of the NFL. So tonight, for you guys listening,
- 36:44Speaker 4: it's the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football against the
- 36:48Speaker 4: Cleveland Browns. I took Pittsburgh Steelers. I think Aaron Rodgers
- 36:52Speaker 4: wins that one. Sunday at 8.30 a.m. Where is this
- 36:58Speaker 4: game going to be? Yikes, that's a terrible game for London, England.
- 37:04Speaker 4: I just looked that up. It's going to be 8.30
- 37:06Speaker 4: in the morning Sunday, it's the Indianapolis Colts against the
- 37:11Speaker 4: Washington Commanders. Man, those London people, I feel bad for them.
- 37:17Speaker 4: At noon on Sunday, we've got the New England Patriots
- 37:20Speaker 4: against the Buffalo Bills. I got Buffalo winning that one. Oh,
- 37:24Speaker 4: I took the Indianapolis Colts in that one. It's going
- 37:28Speaker 4: to be a shitty game, though. Might end in a tie.
- 37:34Speaker 4: New York Jets. And the Chicago Bears, I've got the
- 37:37Speaker 4: Bears winning that one. The Jacksonville Jaguars at the Cincinnati Bengals,
- 37:43Speaker 4: I'm taking Cincinnati. Arizona Cardinals against the New York Giants,
- 37:47Speaker 4: I'm taking New York in that one. The Los Angeles
- 37:50Speaker 4: Rams and Philadelphia Eagles, I'm taking the Rams. I don't
- 37:54Speaker 4: think Philly's got it this year. The Green Bay Packers
- 37:59Speaker 4: and the 0-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, give me Tampa Bay
- 38:03Speaker 4: on that one. I think Tampa's going to get their
- 38:06Speaker 4: first win in that game. Matt LaFleur needs to get fired.
- 38:10Speaker 4: We'll talk about that in a second. Baltimore Ravens. I
- 38:14Speaker 4: got them over the Tennessee Titans. Last noon game, I
- 38:19Speaker 4: got the Dallas Cowboys beating the Houston Texans in Houston.
- 38:23Speaker 4: 3-0-5 games. I've got the 3-0 Minnesota Vikings. I hate
- 38:29Speaker 4: to say it, but they're playing the 0-3 Dolphins. As
- 38:33Speaker 4: much as I would love to see the Finns win
- 38:34Speaker 4: their first game Against Minnesota, I don't think that's going
- 38:38Speaker 4: to happen. Kansas City at 325 at the Vegas Raiders.
- 38:42Speaker 4: Two 3-0 teams. I'm taking Kansas City. It's Patty Mahomes.
- 38:48Speaker 4: It's Travis Kelsey. It's Taylor Swift in Vegas. Let's go.
- 38:52Speaker 4: Let's go Kansas City. 325 also is Denver at 2-1
- 38:55Speaker 4: against the 3-0 49ers. I'll take the 49ers in that game.
- 39:07Speaker 4: And then the last 325 game, the 0-3 Chargers versus
- 39:11Speaker 4: 2-1 Seattle. Both teams need this win. Seattle kind of
- 39:15Speaker 4: struggled in that last game. So I'm going to go
- 39:18Speaker 4: Seattle on that one. And damn, Jim Harbaugh is going
- 39:24Speaker 4: to be 0-4 if he loses that game. So that's
- 39:27Speaker 4: going to be crazy. Sunday Night Football. Detroit Lions at
- 39:31Speaker 4: the Carolina Panthers. I'm taking the Panthers. Detroit's going 2-2.
- 39:35Speaker 4: And then Monday Night Football, we've got the Atlanta Falcons
- 39:40Speaker 4: traveling to the New Orleans Saints. Both teams 1-2. I'll
- 39:44Speaker 4: take Atlanta in that series. All day, every day in
- 39:48Speaker 4: that game. So we'll see what happens there. Let's move
- 39:52Speaker 4: on to a little bit of baseball news. Alright, so
- 39:55Speaker 4: like everybody knows, I talked about this earlier. As of
- 39:58Speaker 4: the time I recorded this on Wednesday, we've got the
- 40:02Speaker 4: White Sox moved on already. They will play the Cleveland
- 40:05Speaker 4: Guardians this weekend. Starting Saturday, I believe. I'll go over
- 40:10Speaker 4: the AL and NLDS's schedule and what it looks like.
- 40:15Speaker 4: But Then we got Philly. Philly won and tied that
- 40:20Speaker 4: series up with Atlanta. So they will definitely go to
- 40:22Speaker 4: a deciding Game 3 today on Thursday for you guys.
- 40:27Speaker 4: Definitely going to be a must-watch game. Game 3s don't
- 40:30Speaker 4: happen often. In fact, they said that before this game,
- 40:35Speaker 4: this Atlanta game today, teams who were up 1-0 out
- 40:42Speaker 4: of 16 games that they've been doing this, 15 and 1.
- 40:47Speaker 4: So that means that we are now at 15-2 or
- 40:52Speaker 4: 16-2 now because the Sox swept. They swept theirs. We'll
- 40:58Speaker 4: see what the Yankees do. As of right now, it
- 41:01Speaker 4: is still 0-0 in that game. And then we'll see
- 41:04Speaker 4: what the Cubs series, what that one does too. But
- 41:06Speaker 4: as of right now, yeah, 16-2 with teams who are
- 41:11Speaker 4: leading 1-0 in the wildcard round. where it's only a
- 41:15Speaker 4: best of three in one city. You don't travel. You
- 41:19Speaker 4: don't get to go home. You have to win two
- 41:22Speaker 4: out of three in the visitor's city or in your
- 41:25Speaker 4: home city if you're the home team. That's a crazy thought,
- 41:28Speaker 4: but it's like a normal series. It's like when you
- 41:30Speaker 4: watch normal baseball week and you're like, oh, my team
- 41:33Speaker 4: is playing against Tampa Bay three games in a row
- 41:36Speaker 4: or the Yankees three games in a row. You know,
- 41:39Speaker 4: Cubs and Sox can play three games in a row,
- 41:42Speaker 4: you know, every time for the Crosstown Classic. So, looking
- 41:45Speaker 4: at that, you know, and stuff like that. We'll see
- 41:48Speaker 4: what happens. So this is the way it's going to
- 41:53Speaker 4: go this weekend for the ALDS schedule. So here we go.
- 41:58Speaker 4: Game one would be Saturday, October 3rd. Now, it should
- 42:03Speaker 4: be both. There should be four teams from each left,
- 42:09Speaker 4: and then the top four teams out of those, wait,
- 42:13Speaker 4: there should be How many games? Hold on. Yeah, there
- 42:20Speaker 4: should be eight teams in the divisional series because then
- 42:25Speaker 4: it goes down to four teams? Or no, it goes
- 42:30Speaker 4: down to two teams from each. So yeah, starts at eight.
- 42:36Speaker 4: Maybe I'm wrong. I don't know. We'll have to see
- 42:38Speaker 4: next week. It's pretty crazy. I'm trying to think. But
- 42:46Speaker 4: right now, yeah. I'm looking. Okay, so the NLDS. So
- 42:55Speaker 4: let's just do it like this. For the ALDS, it
- 43:00Speaker 4: is now the White Sox and Cleveland will play each other. Saturday,
- 43:05Speaker 4: October 3rd at noon. And then Monday, October 5th at
- 43:10Speaker 4: 4 p.m. And then they would play. Those are in Cleveland.
- 43:15Speaker 4: Then it'll go to the White Sox for two games,
- 43:18Speaker 4: October 7th and 8th. And then Saturday the 10th, it
- 43:27Speaker 4: would be a game five, which would be the best
- 43:30Speaker 4: of five. ALDS right now, it's going to be New
- 43:35Speaker 4: York Yankees or Boston to get on Tampa Bay. The
- 43:44Speaker 4: first two in Tampa Bay. Saturday and Monday, and then
- 43:51Speaker 4: on October 7th, 8th, and 9th, or 8th, and then
- 43:55Speaker 4: the 10th would be the final game of that series.
- 43:59Speaker 4: In the National League Division Series, we have nothing set
- 44:02Speaker 4: yet because we didn't have anybody win yet. So it'll
- 44:06Speaker 4: be either San Diego or the Cubs going to Milwaukee
- 44:11Speaker 4: on Saturday, October 3rd. That's to be determined a time.
- 44:16Speaker 4: And then game two would be Sunday. Oh, so, wow.
- 44:25Speaker 4: So all the teams are playing Saturday and Sunday. Hang on,
- 44:33Speaker 4: let me see this. Yeah, all the teams will play
- 44:36Speaker 4: Saturday and Sunday. Because the same thing here, Atlanta or
- 44:40Speaker 4: Philly versus the Dodgers would be Saturday, October 3rd. So
- 44:45Speaker 4: all the teams will play Saturday. That's pretty crazy. They
- 44:50Speaker 4: have not set a time yet for the Milwaukee Brewers
- 44:52Speaker 4: and Cubs yet for that Saturday. So Saturday and Sunday
- 45:00Speaker 4: will be games one and two for all the series.
- 45:04Speaker 4: If I'm seeing this right. Okay, let me look here.
- 45:10Speaker 4: Saturday and Monday, so The Sox will play on Saturday
- 45:17Speaker 4: and then Monday. The Cubs will play Saturday and Sunday
- 45:21Speaker 4: if they go on. So we'll see what happens in
- 45:23Speaker 4: that series. But yeah. And then, of course, the Dodgers
- 45:26Speaker 4: are awaiting the Atlanta Phillies. One, we'll see who wins
- 45:31Speaker 4: that tomorrow. Or today, if you're listening on Thursday, which
- 45:34Speaker 4: you are. So yeah, that's how it's going to go.
- 45:37Speaker 4: So that's crazy. We are ready to go with the
- 45:40Speaker 4: second round. We'll know by today, Thursday, Who is moving on?
- 45:48Speaker 4: We know we got one clinching game so far out
- 45:52Speaker 4: of four for a game three. It's happened once before,
- 45:58Speaker 4: and now it's happening a second time. And we'll see
- 46:00Speaker 4: if it'll happen with another series and another series. We'll
- 46:04Speaker 4: see what happens. Can Boston tie this up tonight on Wednesday?
- 46:08Speaker 4: Can the Cubs tie it up on Wednesday? We'll have
- 46:10Speaker 4: to see what happens. It's going to be crazy. I
- 46:15Speaker 4: wish I could do this show live, but I can't
- 46:17Speaker 4: because I work during the day. All right, so we'll
- 46:19Speaker 4: see what happens there. And next week, we'll talk about
- 46:22Speaker 4: how the Divisional Series is looking. By Wednesday of next
- 46:26Speaker 4: week when I tape this show, I mean, I'm looking
- 46:29Speaker 4: right here. And by the time I film this, we'll
- 46:36Speaker 4: be at Game 3 of the– yeah, we'll be at
- 46:43Speaker 4: Game 3 already. for the National League Divisional Series. And
- 46:48Speaker 4: by Wednesday, we'll already be going into Game 4 that
- 46:53Speaker 4: Thursday of the other one. So we'll see what happens.
- 46:56Speaker 4: I'll let everybody know. I was going to talk a
- 47:01Speaker 4: little bit about WWE, but I think we're going to
- 47:05Speaker 4: wait another week for that and NASCAR 2 because I'm
- 47:08Speaker 4: on a tight schedule tonight. The Cubs start. I'm taping
- 47:11Speaker 4: this on Wednesday, like I told everybody, and it is
- 47:13Speaker 4: now 824 at night. I've got less than 30 minutes
- 47:17Speaker 4: until the Cubs game starts, and I want to watch it.
- 47:20Speaker 4: It's a 9 o'clock start, craziness. Hopefully, if Boston can win,
- 47:27Speaker 4: or no, New York can win this game here, then
- 47:32Speaker 4: hopefully the Cubs and Padres will be moved a little
- 47:36Speaker 4: earlier at night, like maybe 7 o'clock. at night instead
- 47:41Speaker 4: of 9 o'clock at night. I know that they're on
- 47:43Speaker 4: San Diego time, but those people could go to an
- 47:46Speaker 4: earlier game. It's okay. It's okay to go to a
- 47:49Speaker 4: 5 o'clock baseball game because you'll be done by 8 o'clock.
- 47:54Speaker 4: Because that late night thing stunk. Thank God they lost.
- 47:57Speaker 4: They were losing last night 7-0. I left and went
- 48:00Speaker 4: to bed because I'm like, I'm not going to watch this.
- 48:02Speaker 4: And thank God I didn't because now tonight I'll watch
- 48:05Speaker 4: the whole game. Because you know the Cubs like to
- 48:08Speaker 4: come from behind. But hopefully the Cubs, when you hear
- 48:11Speaker 4: this in the morning, hopefully they routed. Hopefully they just
- 48:17Speaker 4: went off like they've done before and scored like 12,
- 48:21Speaker 4: 13 runs on San Diego. Because I feel like a
- 48:26Speaker 4: Game 3 would favor the Cubs. Because I think San Diego,
- 48:30Speaker 4: after winning 8-0 in Game 1, would be like, man,
- 48:32Speaker 4: Game 2... We allowed them to shellack us. So what
- 48:39Speaker 4: do we do now? So, yeah, I'm hoping that Game
- 48:45Speaker 4: 3 is today, which is Thursday. That's what I'm hoping for.
- 48:50Speaker 4: I want to see some baseball on my birthday, and
- 48:53Speaker 4: it looks like at least the Sox will play October 5th. Actually,
- 48:59Speaker 4: they would be the only ones that will play October 5th.
- 49:02Speaker 4: And I was looking. If the World Series went to
- 49:07Speaker 4: a Game 7 this year, it is on Halloween, Saturday,
- 49:10Speaker 4: October 31st. Oh my lord, would that be crazy. And
- 49:17Speaker 4: Game 6. Game 6. of the World Series is on
- 49:22Speaker 4: October 30th. That is me and my wife's anniversary. So
- 49:26Speaker 4: if it would be Cubs and Sox, let's say they
- 49:29Speaker 4: both merrily made it to the World Series this year
- 49:32Speaker 4: against each other, we were going to go out that night.
- 49:35Speaker 4: We're going to go out for our anniversary on that
- 49:39Speaker 4: Friday night. We could hit up a bar and watch
- 49:42Speaker 4: them win. That would be the craziest shit ever. And
- 49:49Speaker 4: oh my God, that would be crazy. I would love it.
- 49:52Speaker 4: So yeah, let's move on. I'm going to talk. We're
- 49:54Speaker 4: going to go to the entertainment section. But first, we're
- 49:57Speaker 4: going to play this song by the This Weekend Birthday Girl.
- 50:01Speaker 4: It is, of course, Gwen Stefani with Akon, The Sweet Escape,
- 50:06Speaker 4: right here on the Robbie G Podcast. Keep it locked in.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Woo-hoo, yeah-hoo Woo-hoo, yeah-hoo Woo-hoo, yeah-hoo Woo-hoo, yeah-hoo Woo-hoo, yeah-hoo
- 50:35Speaker 2: I would, but first of all.
- 50:36Speaker 6: Let me say I must apologize for acting, thinking, treating
- 50:40Speaker 6: you this way.
- 50:41Speaker 4: Cause I've been.
- 50:42Speaker 7: Acting like sour milk all on the floor. It's your
- 50:44Speaker 7: oxygen shots, our refrigerator. Maybe that's the reason I've been
- 50:47Speaker 7: acting so cold. If I could escape this. And recreate
- 50:52Speaker 7: a place.
- 50:53Speaker 2: That's my own world.
- 50:56Speaker 4: And I could be your.
- 50:57Speaker 7: Favorite girl Forever, perfectly together And tell me, boy, now
- 51:03Speaker 7: wouldn't that be sweet If I could be sweet.
- 51:06Speaker 5: I know I've been a real bad girl I didn't
- 51:12Speaker 5: mean for you to.
- 51:14Speaker 7: Get hurt We could make it better And tell me, boy,
- 51:19Speaker 7: now wouldn't that be sweet.
- 51:23Speaker 2: I'm at my lowest boiling point. Come help me out.
- 51:30Speaker 2: I need to get me out of this joint.
- 51:39Speaker 6: Come on, let's fight. Counting on you to turn me
- 51:49Speaker 6: around Instead of clowning around Let's look for some common
- 51:53Speaker 6: ground So baby, time's getting a little crazy I've been
- 51:57Speaker 6: getting a.
- 51:58Speaker 4: Little lazy Waiting.
- 51:59Speaker 6: You to come save me I can see that you're
- 52:03Speaker 6: angry By the way that you treat me Hopefully you don't.
- 52:06Speaker 2: Leave me Wanna take you.
- 52:08Speaker 7: With me I'd get.
- 52:10Speaker 5: A skip And recreate a place that's my own world.
- 52:16Speaker 7: And I could be your favorite girl forever.
- 52:20Speaker 6: Perfectly together. And tell me, boy, now wouldn't that be sweet?
- 52:25Speaker 6: If I could be sweet.
- 52:26Speaker 5: I know I've been a real bad girl. I didn't
- 52:32Speaker 5: mean for you to get hurt.
- 52:36Speaker 6: We can make it better.
- 52:38Speaker 7: And tell me, boy, now wouldn't that be sweet?
- 52:45Speaker 2: If I could.
- 52:49Speaker 4: Escape If I.
- 52:51Speaker 2: Could escape Cause I've been acting.
- 52:58Speaker 7: Like I wanna fall on the floor It's your oxygen shot,
- 53:01Speaker 7: the refrigerator Maybe that's everything I've been acting so cold
- 53:05Speaker 7: If I could escape And recreate a place that's my
- 53:10Speaker 7: own world And I could be your favorite girl forever.
- 53:16Speaker 4: Perfectly together.
- 53:18Speaker 7: And tell me, boy, now wouldn't that be sweet? If
- 53:21Speaker 7: I could be sweet.
- 53:22Speaker 2: I know I've been a.
- 53:24Speaker 5: Real bad girl.
- 53:26Speaker 7: I didn't mean for you to get hurt.
- 53:32Speaker 6: We could make it better. And tell me, boy, now
- 53:35Speaker 6: wouldn't that be sweet?
- 53:36Speaker 4: Sweet.
- 53:37Speaker 2: That was the amazing birthday girl Gwen Stefani.
- 54:05Speaker 4: With the Sweet Escape with Akon, right here on the
- 54:07Speaker 4: Robbie G Podcast. Wow, video music awards this year were amazing. Like,
- 54:13Speaker 4: I haven't watched them much the last couple of years,
- 54:16Speaker 4: and there was really nothing good on Sunday night. The
- 54:20Speaker 4: football game... was just bland. I was like, you know,
- 54:23Speaker 4: I wasn't even feeling football Sunday as much because the
- 54:27Speaker 4: Bears didn't play. Usually, like, I get hyped up all
- 54:30Speaker 4: day for football on Sundays when the Bears play. When
- 54:33Speaker 4: they don't, I don't really care. I watched a little
- 54:36Speaker 4: sporadically here and there. throughout the day, but I didn't
- 54:39Speaker 4: watch all day, but me and my wife wanted to
- 54:41Speaker 4: watch the VMAs this year, we wanted to see what
- 54:43Speaker 4: they would do for Dolly Parton, and they did, they
- 54:45Speaker 4: did a tribute to Dolly, it was nice, and we
- 54:48Speaker 4: watched from the beginning to the end, and it was
- 54:50Speaker 4: actually one of the best ones that I've seen in
- 54:53Speaker 4: recent years, because there's some years we've watched it, or
- 54:56Speaker 4: I've watched part of it, like on MTV, when they
- 55:00Speaker 4: replay it, like 500 times, stuff like that, Madonna, It
- 55:06Speaker 4: was amazing. She won a few awards. We'll go over
- 55:09Speaker 4: the list of winners. She won one with Sabrina Carpenter
- 55:13Speaker 4: for a song they did together. And then she won
- 55:16Speaker 4: a couple of solo ones. Taylor Swift did what she
- 55:18Speaker 4: always does and wins awards because she's amazing. But yeah,
- 55:23Speaker 4: here's the list of winners. Video of the Year went
- 55:26Speaker 4: to Taylor Swift for The Fate of Ophelia. She beat
- 55:30Speaker 4: out Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, somebody called Generation... Madonna and
- 55:37Speaker 4: Sabrina Carpenter, so that's pretty amazing. Artist of the Year
- 55:41Speaker 4: went to Madonna. That is crazy. This isn't the 90s
- 55:46Speaker 4: or early 2000s, and she's still winning awards. It's crazy.
- 55:51Speaker 4: She beat out Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter,
- 55:58Speaker 4: and Taylor Swift for Artist of the Year. That's amazing. Now,
- 56:01Speaker 4: she had a lot of slurred words. I think she
- 56:04Speaker 4: was a little drunk, a little tipsy, which is okay.
- 56:07Speaker 4: I mean, she is, what, in her 70s? So it's
- 56:11Speaker 4: okay to have a little fun, Madonna. She deserved it.
- 56:14Speaker 4: Because to be able to win when you were an
- 56:18Speaker 4: artist in the 80s and the 90s, and you come
- 56:20Speaker 4: back in 2026 and beat out a lot of these
- 56:23Speaker 4: younger artists, that's amazing. Song of the Year went to
- 56:27Speaker 4: BTS for Swim. Also nominated was Ella Langley with Choose
- 56:33Speaker 4: in Texas, Huntrix, Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter's song Together, Olivia Dean,
- 56:40Speaker 4: Pink Pantheress, and Raya. Or is it Raya? I don't know.
- 56:45Speaker 4: It's R-A-Y-E. Best New Artist voted on by the fans
- 56:50Speaker 4: went to Sienna Spiro for She beat Bella Kay, Cordis,
- 56:56Speaker 4: Magnus Farrell, Malcolm Todd, Miles Smith, and Stella Lefty. Best Collaboration.
- 57:02Speaker 4: This was a big one. Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter for
- 57:06Speaker 4: their song Bring Your Love. They beat out Clipse, Kendrick Lamar,
- 57:11Speaker 4: Pusha T, and Malice for a song they did together.
- 57:15Speaker 4: French Montana and Max B. Pink Pantheress with.
- 57:24Speaker 4: Stateside plus Zara Larson. Shakira and Burna Boy. And Tiana
- 57:32Speaker 4: Taylor and Lucky Day. So they beat out all of them.
- 57:36Speaker 4: Best Pop went to Lisa for Dream featuring Kentaro Segaguchi.
- 57:44Speaker 4: They beat out Ariana Grande, Charlie XCX. Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter,
- 57:52Speaker 4: Tate McRae, and Taylor Swift. Best Hip Hop went to
- 57:57Speaker 4: Cardi B. Also nominated was Don Toliver, Drake, Megan Thee Stallion,
- 58:05Speaker 4: Tyler The Creator, and Travis Scott. Best R & B

- 58:14Speaker 4: Justin Bieber, Kalani, And Mariah the Scientist and Kaylee Uchis.
- 58:22Speaker 4: Best Alternative went to Olivia Rodrigo. She beat out Geese, MGK,
- 58:31Speaker 4: Noah Kahan, Somber, Tame Impala, and 21 Pilots. Best Latin,
- 58:39Speaker 4: of course, went to Bad Bunny. He beat out Anita
- 58:42Speaker 4: with Shakira. Furazu... Regina, I'm probably going to slaughter some
- 58:49Speaker 4: of these names. Carol G, Rosalina, and Ryan Castro, Capo,
- 58:57Speaker 4: and Gangsta. And also Shakira, she was in two songs
- 59:02Speaker 4: with Burda Boy. Best K-Pop went to BTS for Swim.
- 59:08Speaker 4: They beat out Blackpink. Cordis, Cat's Eye, Lisa, I don't
- 59:14Speaker 4: know what that one, and Lisa. Yeah, Lisa. Best Dance
- 59:20Speaker 4: went to Madonna. She won another one. She beat out
- 59:25Speaker 4: Bebe Rexha and Faintless, Harry Styles, Lady Gaga, and Doachie.
- 59:30Speaker 4: Pink Pantheress, Slater, and Tate McRae. Best Country went to
- 59:37Speaker 4: Ella Langley for Choose in Texas. That's an amazing song.
- 59:40Speaker 4: I love it. Also nominated was Kacey Musgraves, Lainey Wilson,

- 1:00:14Speaker 4: and Generation. Best album? Crazy. This went to Madonna again.
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: For Confessions 2. She beat out Bruno Mars, Drake, Ella Langley,
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: Harry Styles, Olivia Deen, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, and Taylor Swift.
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: The Song of the Summer went to Ariana Grande for
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: Hate That I Made You Love Me. Also nominated was
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: Bruno Mars, Charlie XCX, Ella Langley, Cat's Eye, Lano, Morgan Wallen,
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: Olivia Deen, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Slater, Somber, Stella Lefty,
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: Tame Impala and Jenny, and then Taylor Swift. Best Direction
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: went to Taylor Swift. Also up for that one was
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: Ariana Grande. Actually, I don't know. I think it's the
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: other people who are in it. I'm not going to
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: go over those. Best Art Direction went to Pink Pantheress.
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: Art Director, Furman Ahmad. Best Cinemography went to Madonna's Confessions II,
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: the film. Director of Photography was Daniel Layden. Best Editing

- 1:02:23Speaker 4: And then the special award, the Video Vanguard Music Award,
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: went to Nirvana. They deserved it. And MTV VMA Artist
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: Director Honors went to Taylor Swift. So that was it,
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: and that was a good night. I loved every minute
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: of the awards. Snoop Dogg was the host. He did
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: a good job. It was just good from start to finish.
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: I loved it. Music was great. They played a lot
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: of old Snoop and Dre songs. during the intro and
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: outro to commercials. That was cool. It was just a
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: good night. I enjoyed it. My mother-in-law, too, and she's 85,
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: so she don't know a lot of the new music,
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: but even she had a good time watching it. She
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: said it was really good, too. We'll see what happens
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: next year, but congratulations to all the winners of the VMAs,
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: especially the beautiful Taylor Swift and Madonna. You guys deserved it.
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: There's never a bad Taylor album, and And she even
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: released her new video during the VMAs. So she won
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: for director and then released her new video. So it
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: was really cool. And all right, let's move on to
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: our last topic of the night. And that is, of course,
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: the box office. Let's see what happened this week in
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: the box office. They finally greenlit the new 24 Jump
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: Street with Channing Tatum. It's going to be good. And
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: Jonah Hill, oh my God. Ice Cube's going to be back.
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: It's going to be amazing. Let's see. Number 10 this
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: week was Daniel and the Fury Furnace. Weekend gross of $ 1. 5 million. $ 6. 4
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: million total gross in two weeks. Coyote vs. Acme. Weekend
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: gross of $ 1. 9 million. Total gross of $ 59 million in
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: five weeks. At number 8, The Odyssey finally dropped into
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: number 8. But it still did $ 3. 8 million last week
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: with a total gross of $ 617 million in 11 weeks.
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: Spider-Man Brand New Day. I cannot wait for this to
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: come to streaming or to buy because I will be
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: first in line to buy the DVD of it because
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: I have the other two. I want to see Spider-Man
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: Brand New Day. Let's see. At nine weeks, it did $ 4. 1
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: million over the weekend. 951 million in nine weeks out.
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: That's crazy. That was number seven. Number six, Practical Magic
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: 2 did 5.6 million weekend gross, 60 million total gross
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: in three weeks. And number five is Forgotten Island. It
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: was in its first week out. It did a weekend
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: gross of 13 million. Total gross for that weekend, 14 million.
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: Number four was Primetime. Weekend gross of $ 19 million, same
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: total gross in its first week. Also in its first
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: week out was Heart of the Beast. Did a weekend
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: gross of $ 20 million, total gross of $ 22 million. In
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: its second week, Resident Evil came in number two with
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: a weekend gross of $ 23 million, total gross of $ 105 million.
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: and two weeks out. The number one movie of the
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: week is going to make everybody crack up. Resident Evil
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: could not beat another Marvel movie. And neither could Spider-Man.
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: Avengers Endgame re-released for one week in the theater. It
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: did $ 26 million last weekend. And that puts it at
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: $ 888 million. Total gross for the entire run of Avengers Endgame.
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: It is crazy what a re-release can come out for
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: one week and bury every single movie, including Resident Evil.
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: That's only in its second week. Heart of the Beast,
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: which is a movie with Brad Pitt, had $ 20 million
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: that weekend. Still could not beat out Avengers Endgame coming
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: out with a re-release for one week. So you could
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: just tell. How much that the new Avengers movie, when
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: it comes out, is going to murderize every single movie
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: that's out at the time. It is going to bury
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: every movie. It's probably going to do record numbers. Endgame
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: did $ 26 million being re-released for one week. $ 26 million.
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: $ 26 million. That's insane. That is awesome. That just shows
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: Marvel is the way to go. So Marvel made $ 30
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: million last weekend. They made Avengers Endgame $ 26 million and
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: then another $ 4 million from Spider-Man Brand New Day. That's crazy.
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: Now Spider-Man Brand New Day has $ 951 million total gross.
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: Endgame only had $ 888 million. And I say only, well
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: $ 26 million of that is from this weekend. this last weekend.
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: But still, I mean, that's an amazing number. But Spider-Man
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: just did amazing. And it's only been out nine weeks.
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: It's still going to be out probably a couple more
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: weeks in the theater. So we'll see what happens this
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: weekend at the movie theaters. And I will see everybody later. Hopefully,
- 1:07:53Speaker 4: by the time we get to next week, the Cubs
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: and the Sox won't be in the playoffs. As of
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: right now, the Sox made it. Congratulations to the Southside.
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: You guys deserved it. You guys played a good two games.
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: Hopefully the Cubs will win this game on Wednesday night.
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: You guys already know if they did because you guys
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: are hearing in the future. Because I'm doing this show
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: in the past. And as of right now, The Cubs
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: start in 15 minutes. So I'm going to go get ready.
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: I'm going to go do my buzz ball, my blue
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: buzz ball for the Cubs. I am ready for this game.
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: Go Cubs go. Hopefully they win. I'm going to take off.
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: We are going to end the show with some amazing,
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: amazing music. Oh, no. Hold up. Oh, thank God, because
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: I didn't realize last night when I put the music
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: on here, I doubled up the sweet escape. So I
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: had it playing twice. I just did it. Here we go.
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: Let's end the show and rock out and hopefully. this
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: made the Cubs win tonight. Here we go with You
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: Shook Me All Night Long by ACDC. I'll see everybody
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: next week. Love you all. Happy birthday to me and
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: to everybody celebrating a birthday this weekend. Oh, a big
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: shout out to my friend Shannon. She has a birthday
