Are you a struggling silver, gold, precious metal mining
• 0:03
  stock investor? I am.
• 0:05
I'll raise my hand to that one. Are we ready for some good news?
• 0:10
Yes, we are. Unfortunately, our good news
• 0:15
comes in the form of bad news for the US economy, because all
• 0:20
we've heard over the last year is how great the US economy is,
• 0:25
  GDP growing exceeding expectations, recreational
• 0:30
vehicle sales going through the roof.
• 0:33
But are we at a point now where we need to talk about the truth?
• 0:38
And I've got five areas that I want to cover today that I think
• 0:42
in very uncertain terms demonstrate that the economy is
• 0:47
in big, big trouble. And again, that'll actually be
• 0:52
good news for silver investors and gold investors.
• 0:56
Let's start with layoffs. And I apologize, I have to read
• 1:00
from a list, because just this week we've heard about mass
• 1:04
layoffs at a number of companies.
• 1:07
Let's start with UPS. Big, big layoffs.
• 1:10
PayPal cutting jobs. Amazon cutting jobs.
• 1:14
Microsoft cutting jobs. Google TikTok, eBay Levi's.
• 1:21
Cutting, cutting, cutting, cutting Salesforce cutting 7000
• 1:25
jobs. They're a huge tech company.
• 1:27
Macy's cutting jobs. Wayfair cutting jobs.
• 1:30
Many more, including Citibank, which is eliminating over 20,000
• 1:36
jobs. All those companies I just
• 1:38
mentioned to you, those are high paying jobs.
• 1:41
Many of them 6 figure jobs with great benefits that are going
• 1:46
away and unfortunately for the people being laid off from those
• 1:50
companies, they're going to have a difficult time finding new
• 1:54
work. Fortuna Silver Mines is a global
• 1:56
  intermediate gold and silver producer.
• 1:59
Since 2005, Fortuna's best in class management has delivered
• 2:04
impressive growth and profits. Fortuna's solid financial
• 2:08
position and operational expertise allows for performance
• 2:13
in any precious metals price cycle and provides a foundation
• 2:17
from which to harvest great profits in more favorable metals
• 2:21
markets. Investing in Fortuna is an
• 2:24
investment in quality, long term, sustainable production of
• 2:28
in demand precious and base metals.
• 2:32
What's the next big indicator that we've got trouble in the
• 2:36
economy? And again, that's good for the
• 2:39
silver pricing, gold price? We don't want to celebrate
• 2:42
anyone's misfortune. We're just talking about the
• 2:45
facts. And remember UPS laying off
• 2:48
thousands of people? Well, we got a big clue from
• 2:53
them about the strength of the economy because UPS ships things
• 2:57
all over the country. They move products for
• 3:01
businesses, for consumers and they reported that in 2023 their
• 3:07
freight volumes were way, way down.
• 3:10
I'm hearing numbers as large as 8%.
• 3:13
What does that tell us about the health of the US economy?
• 3:18
We also heard this week from the Chicago PMI that we have
• 3:22
  contracting business conditions, right.
• 3:25
The purchase managers index shrinking contracting guys.
• 3:30
Everywhere we look, we're hearing bad news for the
• 3:33
economy, which again will be good news for the silver pricing
• 3:37
gold price. If you want to get your hands on
• 3:39
some silver or gold or platinum before it's too late, let's all
• 3:43
thank our channel sponsor, Pimbex Pi MB EX.
• 3:48
The best selection, the best prices, the best service in a
• 3:52
company that I trust. You need to find that out for
• 3:56
yourself. Next time you're shopping for
• 3:57
bullion online or anywhere, do yourself a big favor.
• 4:02
Throw Pinbex into the mix. I think you'll find what I
• 4:05
found. Pinbex checks all the boxes.
• 4:08
What else do we have going on that indicates to us that the
• 4:12
economy is in trouble? How about crude oil?
• 4:16
The fact that the crude oil price is so low, inventories are
• 4:21
building. That is a undeniable piece of
• 4:26
evidence that the economy is slowing down.
• 4:28
Oil is the lifeblood of the US economy, of the world economy.
• 4:34
It's the most traded commodity in the world.
• 4:37
It is everything from energy to manufacturing, everywhere and
• 4:42
everything. It permeates the economy and
• 4:45
when we have building inventories and prices in
• 4:49
particular, while we're having major crisis in the Middle East,
• 4:54
prices, where they are is a big, big red flag about worldwide
• 5:01
economic activity. What else can we point to?
• 5:04
How about you in your own personal life?
• 5:07
Are you feeling wealthy now? According to our president and
• 5:10
the White House, Bidenomics is working.
• 5:14
But when we talk to our friends and our neighbors, when we're
• 5:17
really honest with each other, aren't a lot of us struggling
• 5:22
financially? Isn't it becoming harder to pay
• 5:25
things like car insurance? House insurance?
• 5:28
Have you been to the grocery store lately?
• 5:31
Everyone everywhere is cutting back If you started to notice
• 5:36
you're getting more and more lucrative coupon offers and your
• 5:40
  e-mail inbox. I remember a couple years ago I
• 5:44
would hardly get any offers. Now I seem to be getting a buy
• 5:47
one, get one free offer from restaurants and all types of
• 5:51
businesses and services on a daily basis.
• 5:54
That's because the US economy is slowing down.
• 5:58
You ever get the feeling that we're living in a fantasy world?
• 6:03
Funny money? Do you feel a little crazy?
• 6:06
Well, you're not alone. And the reason why you feel
• 6:09
crazy is because the system has grown so convoluted, so
• 6:14
perverted, it's all coming to a head.
• 6:19
Look, a lot of people are calling for this.
• 6:21
A lot of people are calling for 2024 to be a year full of major
• 6:27
events. We do not have a crystal ball,
• 6:31
but isn't it starting to feel like the hens are coming home to
• 6:36
roost? Look, if you're like me, you
• 6:38
decide to protect yourself. Protect your family with
• 6:41
precious metals. That's what we do.
• 6:44
We'll see how the year plays out.
• 6:46
