• 3:44
Speaker A: The cat is at it.
• 3:45
Speaker C: I was trying to think of some sexual innuendo before I touch myself, but I don't know what else. What would be one for cats out of the bag?

  Speaker A: I don't know.
• 3:55
Speaker C: Well, the breast are out of the bra.
• 3:57
Speaker A: The AA batteries are in the personal massager.

• 5:10
Speaker C: Shaped flexi, flexi, 7 inch like and.
• 5:13
Speaker B: It'S got a cover like a, like an old valentine.
• 5:15
Speaker A: And I, I will put, you know, because I, I do have a copy signed by, by YouTube and that, you know, that's goes along with the. I have the full length Forbidden Words signed by everybody here. And I remember that just showed up in the mail one day like, you, Jeff, you had messaged me and just as you know, you're like, what's your mailing address? And like sometimes people send me, you know, cards or, or whatever, but I certainly didn't expect for getting the album.
• 5:43
Speaker C: And, and we're good to our fans.
• 5:45
Speaker A: Yeah, that was awesome.
• 5:47
Speaker B: We like to be generous.
• 5:47
  Speaker C: Yeah.
• 5:48
  Speaker B: You know what?
• 5:48
Speaker C: If you're listening to this and you want something in the mail, email us or Instagram us. Because I like, you know what I. I like during the, during COVID I got, I dug through because I save everything like a weird pack rat. Like any old punk dude.
• 6:01
Speaker A: Look around. This I have from the 70s. Those are Atari cartridges.
• 6:08
Speaker C: Yeah, I like went back through, I saved from like the 90s and like all these old postcards or whatever. I've grabbed at like flea markets or est and like went to the post office and bought like a bunch of postcard stamps. And I just started asking people for their addresses because it's Covid, so I'll go do the old fashioned analog way of writing instead of FaceTime. And I would just shoot postcards out. Like, what the hell? I think it's kind of fun to get a little note in the postcard.
• 6:33
Speaker A: Like, I was excited. I was like excited as hell. Like, I was like, what is this?
• 6:36
Speaker C: It's like being a kid again.
• 6:37
Speaker A: Holy fucking shit. You know, And I get to like take it out. And I was like, oh, it was signed. And you know, again, I have the record player set up out in the living room, so I fucking put it on immediately.
• 6:46
Speaker C: Do you put a little Jeffrey usually puts a little cologne on it for people too. Little squirt.
• 6:49
  Speaker B: Little dad Spritz.
• 6:50
Speaker C: Little Spritz. Didn't notice it. Now you got to get the CK one. Break that back out.
• 6:56
Speaker A: Some Drakar Noir Night Swept.
• 7:01
Speaker C: That sounds fancy. Is that a thing or is that a joke?
• 7:05
Speaker B: It's an office reference.
• 7:06
  Speaker C: Oh, is it?
• 7:07
  Speaker B: Yeah, it's the.
• 7:09
  Speaker C: I don't know. I don't remember that one.
• 7:10
Speaker A: I don't remember that either. Emma.
• 7:12
Speaker B: It's Michael Scott's like Rite Aid version.
• 7:16
Speaker C: You know, You're a bodman guy. Remember? Bodman. Shout out to my friend Brad used to have the bodman. I got that sprayed in my mouth once in the back of his car. It sucked. You remember Bodman?
• 7:27
  Speaker B: No, I didn't.
• 7:27
Speaker C: They had commercials out and everything. Bodman. We should make Jags cologne for the Valentine's Day. The show for that. We're releasing this record on February 12th.
• 7:37
Speaker A: I could actually. If you want a Jags cologne, my wife will make you a Jags cologne. She made me custom colognes for Christmas. Yeah, I'm not even fucking kidding.
• 7:46
  Speaker C: Wow.
• 7:46
  Speaker A: Yeah. Wow.
• 7:47
  Speaker B: That's amazing.
• 7:48
Speaker A: If you want to like. She does all sorts of crafty stuff like candles and all these things, but.
• 7:54
Speaker C: She, she got a big thing of the whale barf up there. You cut out right out of the Hudson river right here.
• 7:59
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 8:00
Speaker C: You guys got things going on here.
• 8:01
Speaker A: The Hudson River's only been a mile away.
• 8:03
  Speaker C: Yeah.
• 8:04
Speaker A: But yeah, if you want some Jack's cologne, let's. She made. My custom scent is cashmere and cannabis, which is, you know, it's. It's fitting.
• 8:15
  Speaker B: Seems fitting.
• 8:19
Speaker A: Seawater or something, you know.
• 8:21
  Speaker B: Yeah, right.
• 8:21
Speaker C: I'm trying to think about how the beach. Yeah. Dill Seinfeld. Right. I think ours would. I just think about like the smell of the van. Like there's like fast food trying to blow some weed out the back of the van. I don't know. It's not going to smell very good.
• 8:38
  Speaker B: No, not good.
• 8:39
  Speaker A: Beef and cannabis.
• 8:40
Speaker C: No beef. There's a Kurt's beef jerky or those little sausage things he's had for a while. He was on a kick of those bananas. Bananas. Yeah, we got bananas. Oh, that's right. There was bananas in the van.
• 8:53
Speaker B: A lot of potassium, coffee.
• 8:56
Speaker C: Weed. Beer sounds so much. We'll smell way better than that live on February 12th for our 7 inch release party.
• 9:07
Speaker A: Yeah, and we will definitely get to the. The, the release party had no fun. But also. And it, it was. Wait, last year was your 10th full year?
• 9:19
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 9:19
Speaker A: So you're, you're actually. I've missed the 10 year anniversary and now you're an 11 year old band.
• 9:25
Speaker B: Yeah, we didn't actually realize it. Kurt kind of came, kind of remembered it and so we probably, I don't know, halfway through the year last year decided that we were going to celebrate it somehow. And. And yeah, we. It was, it was a good year though. It was.
• 9:45
Speaker C: That was a great year.
• 9:46
Speaker B: Yeah. Actually it was. We. We definitely got to do some things last year that we never thought we'd ever do.
• 9:54
Speaker C: Yeah. 10 years ago. Well, I hope all our. All big. All of our Italian, European fans understand what we're saying.
• 10:01
Speaker A: You're overseas. Like, tell me. Tell me a little bit about that because I haven't talked to you since.
• 10:07
  Speaker B: No.
• 10:07
Speaker A: Well, actually, I mean, I've seen you since then, but. But we didn't get a ton of talk time.
• 10:12
  Speaker C: But yeah.
• 10:13
Speaker A: What was that all.
• 10:13
Speaker B: We got invited over to play in Italy at Surfer Joe festival in Livorno, which is right on the coast of Body of Water that. I don't know what it is.
• 10:26
  Speaker C: The Arabian Sea.
• 10:27
Speaker B: It's not anything. Not the cat. It's not the Mediterranean.
• 10:31
Speaker C: The Atlantic Ocean, isn't it?
• 10:32
Speaker B: Look it up. But it's. We. We literally played on a stage looking right out at that body of water. It was amazing. So we got to go over and spend five days in Italy and it was. It was absolutely amazing. We got to meet a lot of bands from. From all over the world. And we had. We had a lot of fun. Josh and I had a nice romantic.
• 10:59
  Speaker C: Yeah.
• 11:00
Speaker B: Car ride through the Tuscan hills.
• 11:01
Speaker C: Oh, that's right. Yeah, that's right. Yep.
• 11:04
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 11:04
Speaker B: San Gimignano and got gelato.
• 11:06
  Speaker C: So when.
• 11:07
Speaker A: When you were there for five days, how. How many times did you play?
• 11:11
  Speaker C: Only once.
• 11:12
  Speaker B: Once. Really?
• 11:13
Speaker C: Yeah. Well, we're rich. We decided we want to give the Italian people one big blowout. So. But yeah, through just travel things, it was just like. It was kind of more of a vacation than an actual tour. But it was great. It was awesome.
• 11:31
Speaker B: It was. It was a whirlwind for us. Kurt. Kurt made a. Like a longer vacation out of his family. But. But for Josh and I, we flew in on. We was plane, trains and automobiles, literally.
• 11:45
  Speaker C: We.
• 11:45
Speaker B: We took off. Flew. Took a train to. To Florence, then took a car.
• 11:51
  Speaker C: Car.
• 11:52
Speaker B: It was just like we were. I don't know where we were. Half.
• 11:56
Speaker C: Yeah, it was kind of wild. It was a world. Lots of wine.
• 11:59
Speaker B: Yeah, it was great.
• 12:00
Speaker A: And had you guys, like. Because, I mean, I've never been to Europe or anything. Like, have. Had you personally been over there before?
• 12:07
Speaker C: Yes, I like it.
• 12:08
  Speaker A: Gotcha.
• 12:10
Speaker C: The people there are very excited when good bands come through. They get very into it. So it's awesome.
• 12:16
Speaker B: Yeah, I'd been to Europe, but that was the first time I ever played there.
• 12:21
Speaker C: Yeah, I played there like 15 years ago on a DIY kind of punk tour. Shout Out, City Rat Records. My boy Staphon Schnabel out there. But that was a whole different world. This is like luxurious compared to playing like squat houses and weird things. But. And yeah, it was awesome. You can't go wrong trying to get out of town and being part of that cool of a festival is great. Shout out to the Sonoras. Yeah, Mexico. They're from Mexico. We all kind of stayed in the same hotel with some of the other bands and hung out and partied there because it's a multi day fest. So that's why it was kind of like a one show. They were like, let's fuck it. Let's just stay and party, you know. So we got there a little early to do a little sightseeing, then went and spent a couple days in Livorno. And there's so many good. Like every band was awesome. Awesome. And I'm like, man, I can't believe. We're almost like all these bands are really good. But we got a great response. Sold a bunch of people are really into it and I'm like, hell yeah, this is awesome. Right? We do belong here. And those surfer smokers were great. I mean our night, we had a lot of good bands. Surfer Joe was. Did he play on.
• 13:26
Speaker B: He played the next, the next night.
• 13:27
Speaker C: Right. He's always great.
• 13:30
  Speaker B: Jimmy Dale song.
• 13:33
  Speaker C: Wow. He.
• 13:34
Speaker B: He played the, the last, the last night and then there was, we were. There was only two bands from, from the US and there was just, you know, a lot of European bands. The South American band.
• 13:47
  Speaker C: Right.
• 13:47
Speaker A: How did that hooks up? Like, did someone like reach out to you or.
• 13:52
Speaker B: So Lorenzo who? Surfer Joe. He. He's been, he's been over here a bunch of times and, and we've stayed in touch with him and you know, just, you know, said, you know, obviously made it aware that it had. If this ever came up and he wanted to, to invite us over, we're, you know, we're willing to do it and yeah, it just, it just works.
• 14:17
Speaker C: Into place that way.
• 14:18
Speaker B: Yeah, he messaged us and said let's do it. And it was, you know, it was exciting. So it was a great way to celebrate our 10th year. Yeah, it was really, really fun. And then, and then actually we came back after doing that and the rest of the year here we had some great shows in, in the Capital District. We played with Electric Six. We played with Messer Chops again. We played with. The Cumbia band.
• 14:50
  Speaker C: Oh yeah.
• 14:51
Speaker B: Tropa Magica. It was, it was great. So we had, we had a lot of, we had a lot of good.
• 14:55
Speaker A: A lot of good we did a gig together, right?
• 14:58
Speaker B: We did. We did it.
• 14:59
  Speaker A: Was that 24?
• 15:01
Speaker C: No, we did. Yeah.
• 15:02
Speaker B: You guys played our release?
• 15:03
  Speaker C: Yeah.
• 15:03
  Speaker B: Yeah, that was.
• 15:04
  Speaker A: That was last.
• 15:05
  Speaker C: Yeah, that was.
• 15:06
  Speaker A: I was sick.
• 15:06
Speaker C: I know, I know. I felt bad. You look like hell. I was like, oh, God, you don't look so good. Yeah, I just felt bad. It's like. It's not fun playing.
• 15:15
Speaker A: But I blasted. But I did blast through it.
• 15:17
  Speaker C: You did.
• 15:18
Speaker A: You sounded good, and I. And then I probably prolonged my sickness for, like, another week.
• 15:22
  Speaker B: We appreciate that.
• 15:24
Speaker A: Yeah, no, I blasted through it.
• 15:25
Speaker B: That was a fun night. Yeah, that was.
• 15:27
Speaker C: Maybe your wife can make you a magic potion for your sickness next time instead of cologne.
• 15:30
  Speaker A: Yeah, maybe.
• 15:32
Speaker C: Maybe garlic, cinnamon tea and ginger.
• 15:37
  Speaker A: Lemon.
• 15:38
Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, Turmeric. Yeah, I'll make it.
• 15:41
Speaker A: If. If you want him to jump up on the couch, he will happily jump up there next to you. If you want him.
• 15:46
Speaker C: You're talking about Kurt. He can stay on the floor. No, Kurt's not here. It's a dog.
• 15:52
Speaker A: Go ahead, Calvin, if you want to get up there, bud. I could feel his energy. He's like, I want to get up there and hang out with those guys. Yeah. He gets jealous my wife will be home probably in the. In the middle of this anyway, and then. Then he'll forget that we exists, you know?
• 16:10
  Speaker B: But that's understandable.
• 16:11
Speaker A: Yeah. So do we want to hear the song?
• 16:13
  Speaker C: Yes.
• 16:15
Speaker A: That's available on the flexi. And anybody who's listening, go. Go check the socials to get a visual on what it looks like so that you can get all pumped for the release on. On the 5th or whatever. But. Yeah. So anything that you want to say about the song before you spin it or.
• 16:31
Speaker C: I was thinking about, like, man, I wonder if he's gonna ask us how he chose the song. And I don't know how he did that. So how did that come up? Do you remember? I feel like it was a drunken.
• 16:42
Speaker B: Idiot how all of our covers can come together. It's. We're. We're stuck, and we're riding back from somewhere, and we're just throwing around. We need more covers. And this song had come up just before with. Before the idea of releasing it for Valentine's Day. It was just like, this is a good. This is a good song. And we also have this weird knack for picking covers with female fronted bands.
• 17:10
  Speaker C: Yeah.
• 17:10
Speaker B: And it's not intentional, but it just kind of works for us. So this is like the third or.
• 17:15
Speaker C: Fourth of those Sour times with Portishead Vacation.
• 17:19
Speaker B: The Go Go's Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga. Right. This one.
• 17:26
Speaker C: Is there any others?
• 17:28
Speaker B: Maybe, but. So we had already been playing this song and then we're looking. You know what it was? We had. We did. We've done a Christmas song. We did a Halloween song. We were like, what other holidays can we put out a song for? And we're like, well, it's like us do a Valentine's Day thing. And we already were playing the perfect Valentine's Day song.
• 17:48
Speaker C: Right? So we're geniuses, marketing geniuses. The idiocy knows no bounds.
• 17:55
Speaker B: And then we went. We've already done CDs, we've already done vinyl. We have all the digital stuff. So we're like, what's the next dumb idea? Dumb media that we could put out. So we'll do a flexi, which nobody does. And then let's do it heart shaped, so it looks ridiculous on your turntable.
• 18:12
Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. Awesome. It's.
• 18:15
  Speaker B: Yeah, it's great.
• 18:16
Speaker C: Jags. Just three jags throwing ideas at each other, thinking we're the most hilarious, smartest people in the world. Then when we actually do it, it's like, man, we are so. This is so dumb. Why do we do this? Yeah, it's like a fart in church.
• 18:31
Speaker A: All right, well, let's check out I Touch Myself the Jagaloons and then we'll be right back. All right, that was I Touched Myself Jagaloons available on the. The flexi on February 5th. Right?
• 21:54
Speaker C: Yeah, digitally is the fifth.
• 21:56
  Speaker A: Digitally is right.
• 21:57
Speaker B: I'll be on Bandcamp for. I guess you could buy a physical copy, although we haven't decided what we're gonna charge for.
• 22:03
Speaker C: We're right on the ball.
• 22:04
Speaker A: But they're probably gonna be at the. At the show.
• 22:06
Speaker C: Yeah, the show. You get it free.
• 22:08
Speaker A: And so let's. Let's talk about. Let's talk about the show.
• 22:10
Speaker C: There's tickets online. If you go. Just search the Jag loons on Eventbrite or no Fun. Shout out to Tex.
• 22:18
  Speaker B: I think it's 10. 10 bucks in advance. 12 at the door.
• 22:22
Speaker C: No, 15 at the door. They talked me to do 15 at the door, which I think is a little spicy. But if you don't want to spend 15 at the door and you're kind of cool, just.
• 22:29
  Speaker B: It's gonna be worth 15.
• 22:30
Speaker C: It is. Because Grief Group and the Draculas are playing.
• 22:34
Speaker B: Right? So with that. With that ticket, you get entry to see three fantastic bands. You get to experience no Fun, which is, I think, new and improved. No fun. From what I'm seeing on. On Instagram. So they made some enhancements since the last time we were there, so I can't wait to see what that means. And then you'll get a free copy of the flexi and with that free copy, you will come to the merch table and then hopefully get your flexi and then buy something else from one of the. The three bands that's playing, then spend.
• 23:10
Speaker C: Your money on the other bands. Drop us a nickel if you can. And because the Draculaus are a great garage, poppy, punky group from New Jersey.
• 23:19
  Speaker A: Great names.
• 23:21
Speaker C: Yeah, they got a, you know, a nice thing going.
• 23:24
Speaker A: Like my Spotify is on my computer, but I've got Bela Lugosi's Dracula as my screen.
• 23:29
  Speaker C: Nice.
• 23:29
Speaker A: And I've got the. The Neca figure up there. I'm a big fucking old school Dracula fan, so. They are wonderful.
• 23:37
Speaker C: I miss them. When they. They played it at El Dorado in.
• 23:40
Speaker A: The summer, which is opening again.
• 23:42
Speaker C: Yeah, it is opening soon. That's good. I think maybe by the end of February. I think that's.
• 23:47
  Speaker A: That's what I heard.
• 23:48
Speaker B: Good for the. Good for the scene. Yeah, but they. Yeah, they came and played with Settle Dorado while our poor Josh was out recovering from his motorcycle accident. So you haven't seen them.
• 24:02
Speaker C: I've never seen. They are very excited.
• 24:04
Speaker B: They are fantastic. Really? Really. I'm.
• 24:07
Speaker C: I'm like, Jeff's been more hyped. He's been trying to get the Draculas back for. Since that show. He's like, we gotta play with them. They got to get him back here. When they. When it's better than, you know, some random night when there's more people and blah, blah, blah. So we're finally glad to make it work.
• 24:22
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 24:22
Speaker C: And I'm excited to see him.
• 24:24
Speaker B: And I haven't seen Grief Group, which. I'm excited for that too. They are from here.
• 24:29
  Speaker C: Yes, I.
• 24:31
Speaker B: They have keyboards, which I. I like.
• 24:33
Speaker C: Grief Group because they're just a bunch of like, freaks from Cohoes and.
• 24:37
  Speaker B: Oh, wait, Cahoes.
• 24:38
Speaker C: Yeah, I know, I know. But I will tell you this. They have a. It's very distinct Murder City Devils kind of sound. And I. And they. They got it. It's like they're one of my unheralded bands of the capital region. Like, if you see. They always play weird stuff. It's like always some like super dark Monday, like Saratoga, like one in the morning or some weird no fun show with a guy farting into a tuba. And I don't know how they end up on all these weird Shows, but they have this weird cult following. I love them. And I don't know, this may be breaking news, but they're doing some recording and I think they're gonna put some stuff out soon. So it's not gonna be ready for our show. I tried to push them. I said, come on, come on. But I'm psyched. They're really good. They have it. They got good songs, the great sound, and I'm psyched on putting all of us together.
• 25:30
Speaker B: And Dracula's also have a video coming out right around there, too. So it's, it's, it's gonna be a. It's gonna be fun.
• 25:37
Speaker A: And what's the date on the. On the show?
• 25:40
  Speaker B: Thursday, February 12th.
• 25:43
  Speaker A: Okay. Yeah, 8:00pm it's close enough to a Valentine's.
• 25:46
Speaker C: Yeah, well, it's, you know, the 12th of Valentine's the 14th. And no fun. Shout out to no Fun. They're doing their Valentine's week tribute to Valentine's Music Hall. So it works on many levels. It's layers. It's like an onion. If you keep peeling it back, you'll find more and more things coming together. And shout out Brandon Nature, who's hosting a dating game the night before on the 13th. Maybe, maybe the winner of the Dating Game can get a free Jags flexi. That's a good idea. Maybe in a ticket to the show. I'll make it happen.
• 26:17
Speaker A: You'd have to all sign it.
• 26:19
  Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 26:19
Speaker A: Put the tickets in the thing.
• 26:20
Speaker C: We could be the reason for people getting together and getting married. Maybe they made the winner picks, you know, somebody. They go on a date to our show for free. Get them some liquid courage. And then you never know. Maybe they, 20 years later, they got a family and friend. They say, holy.
• 26:35
Speaker A: Comes up to you and goes, hey, my first name is Jagaloo.
• 26:39
Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, Jag. My name is Jag.
• 26:41
Speaker A: So I just want to thank you.
• 26:45
Speaker C: There it is. Brandon Jag Nature. And then whatever the last name would be or something, we'd figure it out because the Dating Game host.
• 26:54
Speaker B: I don't think. I think the last name is.
• 26:57
  Speaker C: You don't Jack.
• 26:58
Speaker B: You don't get to choose that.
• 26:59
Speaker C: No, they, you know, we'll say, yeah, well, the last name. I say last name is that person's last name. So it'd be a three letter, like three name first name or two. Brandon Jag or Jag. Brandon Jag Nature.
• 27:14
Speaker B: Anyway, so, yeah, so like, yeah, no Fun. Does their whole week of Valentine's like the tribute or homage to one of our favorite Places to ever, ever be in existence in Albany.
• 27:28
  Speaker C: Shadow Howard.
• 27:29
  Speaker B: Yep, Howard.
• 27:30
Speaker C: I saw Howard the other day.
• 27:33
  Speaker B: That's great.
• 27:34
Speaker C: Shout out, Howard. Shout out Mets.
• 27:36
  Speaker B: Oh, boy.
• 27:40
  Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
• 27:43
Speaker C: Yep. Sports ball. Anyway, you guys can all suck it.
• 27:47
  Speaker A: I don't give a. I'm like, I don't have anything to add to that. Like, I'm like, I don't know.
• 27:51
Speaker B: Well, you remember. You remember Valentine's, right? I mean, I wasn't.
• 27:54
Speaker A: I mean, I wasn't like, I. I went to like maybe two shows that. But like, when. Like, I didn't move over here until like 2004. Like, I used to come over this way, like for shows, like, because I worked at EQX and like come over this way and was aware of a lot of the. But I mean, now I didn't go to a lot of shows there.
• 28:20
Speaker B: It was. It was the place. It was upstairs, downstairs.
• 28:24
Speaker C: That's where my ghost. My ghost will haunt that space. It's in the next life. The amount of time I spent there and the amount of great times that were there. Shout out, Ray. Shout out Mike McGrath. Yeah. Yeah.
• 28:37
Speaker B: You know, it's such a great place. That. And bogeys from. From. From my.
• 28:43
Speaker C: You know those. That was bogeys.
• 28:44
Speaker B: Growing up in the 90s or in the. The scene in the 90s and going to bogeys and Valentine's or both in the same night was just d. Done that.
• 28:53
  Speaker C: I did that.
• 28:53
Speaker B: I remember going bogeys QE2 and Valentine's. You can make like quite a love triangle.
• 28:59
Speaker C: You could touch yourself in a love tr. Yeah.
• 29:03
Speaker B: But so, yeah, that's. It's exciting to be part of no Fun's tribute.
• 29:08
  Speaker C: Yeah.
• 29:08
Speaker B: Because they've been doing this since I think since they opened.
• 29:11
  Speaker C: Yeah. So y.
• 29:12
  Speaker B: It's good.
• 29:13
Speaker A: And they've just been crushing it anyway. Like.
• 29:15
  Speaker B: Yeah, it's.
• 29:17
Speaker A: And I'm excited to hear like, what the new enhancements are.
• 29:20
Speaker B: You know, from what I can tell on Instagram, it looks like a. Like a bunch of stage improvements from a lighting perspective and maybe some sound stuff. And they do kind of like a weird video screen thing that they. That they do or like they'll put. Make all sorts of crazy lights and stuff.
• 29:41
Speaker C: What's that guy that does that? Yeah, I think his name's Chris. He's a super nice dude and I feel like I should. I feel bad. If you're listening, I'll reach out.
• 29:51
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 29:53
Speaker C: Sometimes just forget guys names. He probably doesn't know my name. It's okay. Hey, you give the head nod. When you walk by, hey, what's going on? We all have that. This guy knows more people than anybody. He's probably like, ah, I don't know that guy's name. But it's like, what's up, man? You always gotta do the what's up, man?
• 30:06
Speaker A: You ain't kidding, dude.
• 30:07
Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, exactly, right?
• 30:08
Speaker A: You're like, times there's time like, I mean, I've like learned to keep my mouth shut. Cuz like there was one time like where I was like introducing myself to someone and they were literally like, dude, I've been on your show. Oh.
• 30:24
  Speaker C: I'm like, yeah.
• 30:25
Speaker A: I like this dude's been to my house and like I'm looking at him like I didn't even know who he was.
• 30:31
  Speaker C: So.
• 30:31
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 30:31
  Speaker C: Yeah.
• 30:32
Speaker A: Now I just like pretend I know everybody and it seems to work.
• 30:35
Speaker C: Sometimes I find if you're just like, I'm an idiot. And I drink a lot and I do marijuana. So sometimes my synapses don't fire correctly and I forget things. We can all relate and let's reintroduce each other. Sometimes I find that the best.
• 30:49
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 30:50
  Speaker B: I could forget.
• 30:50
Speaker A: I usually burn the weed.
• 30:52
  Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't.
• 30:53
Speaker B: That's not my excuse. I'm just forgetful.
• 30:56
  Speaker C: Yeah, yeah.
• 30:57
Speaker B: I forget names within a second. It's. It's amazing. Just is not.
• 31:03
Speaker A: But like, you see the thing for me is like I've always been one of those. I'll forget names, but I'm good. Like I always remember faces. So like to like look somebody in the eye and be like, I'm meeting you for the very first time. And then to know that like within the last couple years that dude abandoned my.
• 31:22
Speaker C: That was that guy. I'd be like, that's cool. I wouldn't remember me either. Yeah, go home and.
• 31:28
Speaker A: But in my. I mean, you know, he was with another band. You know, it was like him and five other dudes.
• 31:34
Speaker C: Right? You're like, I don't the scene. You're like, I don't expect to see you here. So it doesn't click in my head. Yeah, yeah, I get that. That before he goes home, puts the dogs in the pool house and you know, but it still felt like a dick.
• 31:46
Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. It's super nice to meet you.
• 31:48
  Speaker C: Yeah, yeah.
• 31:49
Speaker A: Cool. Andy, you like.
• 31:52
Speaker C: He's like, hey guys, let's Andy's podcast. Don't listen to that guy's real jerk.
• 31:58
  Speaker A: Just tell everybody.
• 31:59
Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. Like he doesn't need some. He big time me. That's why I'D be like, I got big time. He doesn't remember me. Who do they? Who the does he think he is? Man, I hate being snubbed in big time. I don't like either was like this flip sides of the same coin. Somebody snubbed you and doesn't even acknowledge you. Or they just big time you and like, you know, on the glad hand you kind of things like we big time me. I know you. Get out of here.
• 32:21
Speaker A: Yeah, I've definitely had like recently somebody, you know, and I won't get into detail. I've recently had somebody do that to me where like they did the pretending they don't know me. But like, I know I. I knew that they, you know, like that you. You know me and I know you. And they were like, oh, yeah, I know you're just doing it to be an.
• 32:45
Speaker C: You know, who does that? You know, I've seen do that to people. Mikey from the Sugar Hole. He probably did it to you. Just kidding.
• 32:54
Speaker B: Nicest Nobody big Times like nobody big.
• 32:57
Speaker C: Times like the Sugar Hold. I got Big Time by the Sugar hold to be their next fucking shirt.
• 33:02
  Speaker B: That band.
• 33:03
Speaker C: I love that band too.
• 33:04
Speaker B: I hate that band.
• 33:05
Speaker C: I know you do.
• 33:06
Speaker B: They are the worst thing.
• 33:08
Speaker C: I got Big Time by the Sugar Hole. This is. See, this is where we're idea generators. This is a million dollar idea.
• 33:15
Speaker A: He'll definitely listen, so.
• 33:16
  Speaker C: Oh, good.
• 33:17
Speaker A: He'll get the ideas.
• 33:18
Speaker C: Damn. All right, we get 10 of that.
• 33:21
Speaker A: I got pinked. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Yeah, no, it definitely wasn't Mikey.
• 33:34
  Speaker C: Yeah, it's probably a drummer.
• 33:38
  Speaker A: He's also good.
• 33:41
Speaker C: They are a bunch of sweet boys.
• 33:43
Speaker B: Who's the biggest jerk in the Sugar Bowl?
• 33:45
  Speaker C: Yeah. Really? Jeez.
• 33:47
Speaker A: Yeah, I don't know, man. I think Battle for the nice dudes.
• 33:51
  Speaker C: Yeah. Jeez.
• 33:55
Speaker B: Write us the guitar player. Write us and tell us who you think the biggest jerk in the Sugar bowl is.
• 34:00
Speaker C: We'll send you a postcard. We'll discuss it by pony express. We can have a postcard battle. I'm bringing it back. You know what? You know what's funny? I went to North Carolina like a bunch of years ago and I found like these vintage surfing postcards. And I lost them for a couple years, but now I found them again somewhere and I was like, man, we should make these as Jags postcards for people people and send them out. So maybe, maybe I'll do that. Maybe you'll be a lucky one to get a Jags postcard.
• 34:26
Speaker A: That'd be awesome. I'll hang it up.
• 34:28
  Speaker C: Yeah.
• 34:28
Speaker A: In my I have. I. I get a Christmas card from Erie every year.
• 34:32
Speaker C: Oh, that's nice. Yeah, they're taking a break now.
• 34:35
Speaker B: A handful of jerks.
• 34:36
Speaker A: No, they are. No, no, no, I don't think so.
• 34:39
Speaker C: Who did I see that was taking a break?
• 34:41
  Speaker A: She's Atlantis.
• 34:42
Speaker C: That's who it was. Yes, yes, yes. That's who it was. Oops. Don't start rumors.
• 34:47
Speaker A: It's not a rumor because it's verified on their Instagram.
• 34:50
  Speaker C: That's why.
• 34:50
Speaker A: You want to know what's funny is that I found from one of my own podcasts, the Weekend Spotlight, that BJ Swinghammer host, he sends it to me and I produce it. And I was like, putting this. Putting it together, and I was breaking news. I was like, what? And it's not breaking news because they announced it like a week ago. But I just, like, hadn't. Hadn't heard it because, you know, he's.
• 35:14
Speaker B: A big fan of ours. Who, bj.
• 35:17
Speaker A: Oh, yeah, for sure.
• 35:18
Speaker B: He's got this patch on his chest.
• 35:19
  Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
• 35:19
Speaker C: Oh, yeah. Who wouldn't be? Jag's army.
• 35:22
  Speaker A: That's right.
• 35:23
Speaker C: Hell yeah. Shout out to BJ.
• 35:24
Speaker A: Shout out to BJ. Indeed.
• 35:26
Speaker C: We'll see BJ on February 12th for our 7 inch release show had no fun at 8 o'. Clock. Brief group kicking things off at 8:15. We're running things sharp as a whip Thursday. People got to go to work the next day. If you want to be out all night, great. If you don't want to be out all night, show will be done early enough so you can get home, have your sleepy time tea and go to bed before midnight. Yeah.
• 35:49
Speaker A: Well, before we go, we should hear another song.
• 35:51
  Speaker C: Yes.
• 35:51
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 35:52
Speaker A: So what. What did we want to play? We're going to do one off. Forbidden Words.
• 35:56
Speaker C: Yes. This is Jeff's love song. You wrote this song?
• 36:01
  Speaker B: I did, yeah.
• 36:04
Speaker C: Tell us about it. What's the name?
• 36:08
Speaker B: So here's. Here's the thing. Here's the thing about this is it's called Soggy Bottoms. And the idea of the. The song title came to me as an ice cream flavor, because the best part of an ice cream cone, when you get an ice cream cone on a nice summer day, is you know that bottom of the. The bottom of the cone.
• 36:33
  Speaker A: Sure, yeah.
• 36:34
Speaker B: And it's just a little soggy. Right?
• 36:36
Speaker C: Soggy Bottoms sounds way more sexy.
• 36:41
  Speaker B: Right?
• 36:41
  Speaker C: Yeah.
• 36:42
Speaker A: I was actually thinking, because, like, in, out for. What is it? Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou?
• 36:46
Speaker C: Weren't they called Right. Because he had a wet ass. Right. Or something like that.
• 36:50
Speaker A: Something like that. Maybe he likes. Maybe he likes.
• 36:52
Speaker C: Yeah, innuendo. All right.
• 36:57
Speaker B: Soggy bottom, soggy bottoms. We'll keep it sexy for this episode.
• 37:00
Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. Well, yeah, you ruined it with your stupid ice cream story. You should have been talking about.
• 37:04
Speaker B: Ice cream is, like, dripping.
• 37:07
Speaker C: This is like. It sounds like a Mariah Carey video. And she got, like a hot, sexy, dripping ice cream.
• 37:12
Speaker A: Are you guys going to shoot a sexy video for this?
• 37:14
Speaker C: Boy, I would love it. We. We did shoot a video for Forbidden Words, the song Forbidden Words off this title release. Forbidden Words and I, we were just talking about. Man, we should do another video again. Maybe that's it. Yeah, I know Maddie V. Has an ice cream truck.
• 37:28
Speaker B: Or we could do the. We could do a shot for shot video replication of. Of I touch myself.
• 37:37
Speaker A: Oh, there you go.
• 37:38
Speaker C: Well, yeah. Vacation. I touch myself. We're gonna get into that. Yeah, yeah, we could.
• 37:43
Speaker B: So many bad ideas.
• 37:45
Speaker C: Whose heaving bosom will be out in our video. But look at the time. It's. I don't know. It wouldn't be very attractive. Throw a wig on you, put a little rouge on you, tuck your sack back. You know, I thought it was hot, Jaina. So good. So good. Best part of that whole movie. Oh, God. Well, we know how to ruin a good time. Yo, Shout out. Let's give a shout out to the Colorado fanzine.
• 38:21
  Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
• 38:22
Speaker C: Yeah. Because he's in association with our production of this record, Matt.
• 38:28
Speaker B: Yeah, Matt so has chipped in and.
• 38:31
Speaker C: He'S gonna disseminate this all over the globe through his surf instrumental music fanzine, which, by the way, is freaking phenomenal and, like, well done and glossy and nice. And it ain't like, you know, I was like, it was fanzine. Whatever. I'm used to punk fanzines, like people with some real developmental issues gluing shit to their head and trying to photocopy it. But this is like a real magazine. It's done really well and he's got great ban interviews. And last, when he interviewed us, I was highly stoned and I feel real bad about that. Matt, if you're listening, because I could have talked for hours. We, you know, first question about gear talk. It's like, oh, I could nerd out about gear talk. And then I don't know what happened after that. I was in the zone. But it was great. We were in that magazine last issue, right? I don't know the number, but you should look at the Colorado Fan.
• 39:23
Speaker B: Colorado Surface, Colorado in Colorado instrumental fanzine. It's a guy named Matt. He Lives in Colorado and he does this music, this zine and it's all, it's all centered around instrumental. Not necessarily always, not always surf, but instrumental music. And he, it is really good. He does a lot of good interviews. He does reviews and every, every issue has, you know, it's a. He'll put a CD in sometimes you can bundle it with an lp. He also puts, he's been putting out more records. So the, the flexi is also, it's a, you know, a co release. Co release with him. So he's supporting us with, with this and he's gonna, he's gonna give it away in the magazine as he's out because he, he also travels around to all the different festivals and so it's a lot of. It's good support for us.
• 40:20
Speaker C: And he just sent, speaking of Europe. He just sent, he just texted. He said man, I just sent a zine to Finland. And there's. I was like, wow, Finland? Hell yeah. So worldwide Jags worldwide.
• 40:31
Speaker A: Nice. All right, well, excuse me. So the show is February 12, Thursday, no fun. 8pm the tickets online digital release of Touch Myself is February 5. But you can get your flexi at the show and I think we'll, we'll kind of. Unless you have anything else to add, we'll kind of let Soggy bottoms play us out.
• 40:57
Speaker C: Play us out. It's a perfect playout song.
• 40:59
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 40:59
  Speaker C: Cool.
• 41:00
  Speaker A: Awesome.
• 41:01
  Speaker B: Thanks.
• 41:01
  Speaker C: Thank you.
