[upbeat rock music] Ah, ahoy, ahoy, ahoy, radio listeners.
• 0:19
Full Spectrum Cycling, show number 52. 52. I think we're a year old today. It seems like we'd be a year old. If we did it every week, that would make sense. I think we did. Even though we're coming at you a day later.
• 0:34
Well, not really. No, we're, we're still a day early. We're still [laughs] we're still a day early, so- A dollar short... we'll be on the same day we always are, Friday, I guess. Yeah. Yeah.
• 0:44
So, you know, kind of a weird week, eh? Yeah [laughs], that's an understatement. Didn't even know if we were gonna do a show. Not sure what we should do a show about, but, uh- But we had beer... we had beer.
• 0:55
We had to drink the beer. So, you know, it goes bad otherwise. True that. Can't let it sit in the fridge for 18 months. No way. Or as long as they are claiming this may last [laughs]. I know. I'll have a drink of beer.
• 1:07
I'll have a drink of beer. Well, James is in the background over there with a, with a, with a beer and a guitar maybe later. [sniffs] So here's the scoop.
• 1:18
I had a bunch of things that were getting canceled, but guess what? Everything's canceled, so we don't even have to- Yeah, it's kinda pretty easy to keep track right now...
• 1:25
we don't even have to read a list off of all the races and all the events and everything in the cycling and other worlds out there that are no longer going to happen, at least in the near future, so. Right, right.
• 1:37
We don't have to worry about Tuesday night rides not happening last Tuesday or, or that kinda thing. Yeah. Or next Tuesday. Or next Tuesday, or probably the Tuesday after that- [laughs]... theoretically. Most likely.
• 1:48
Yeah. Yes. We don't have to worry about the Fat Bike Beak- Beach Nationals not happening- Yeah... 'cause they're not happening. 'Cause we know they're not happening.
• 1:56
Been kind of a crazy up and down, things changing by the day sorta deal.
• 2:02
I did wanna talk a little bit about, uh, bike shops and, and what's going on with a lot of shops that I've talked to, and including our own, just so we kinda have an idea how you can sort of keep cycling in your life and keep your,
• 2:16
uh, cycling dollars going to shops even though this may not be the most opportune moment. Uh, riding your bike is actually pretty good. I mean, they're already six feet long. Right, and you generally- Right...
• 2:28
I generally ride alone. Right. So if you run into somebody's back wheel, you're still six feet from their head. I think that's pretty good- Right? And so-... and really-... you really don't-...
• 2:35
the other thing is just don't run into their back wheel. Well, yeah. I mean, stay away from them. Right. Or stay near them. Right. You know the guy I don't like?
• 2:41
Is the guy when you're on the, on the path and he's going 25 and he does the mountain snot right in front of you. Oh, that- Don't do that, dude... yeah, that, that's- Don't do that... don't be that dude.
• 2:48
Don't be that guy. Don't be that. Yeah. You're probably wearing Lycra too. Yeah. Don't be that guy either. Don't be that guy either. Yeah. Although Lycra's probably better at fending off germs- It's not...
• 2:57
than, like, wool maybe. I don't know. I don't know. Wool's natural. Maybe it just has a natural- Ability to-... antimicrobial- Yeah. I don't see any sheep with COVID-19. There you go. You know? Sheep. Dogs.
• 3:11
There's a lot of sheep buying toilet paper, though. [laughs] Yes, there are. Sheeple. There, there's sheeps all over the dang place buying that toilet paper all up.
• 3:20
Uh, so yeah, so your bike shop probably has some semblance of operating at this point, although it would not be the normal walk into the door and paw everything on the wall or, or put your hands on every grip on every bike in the shop, so.
• 3:34
Um, you know, here at Everyday Cycles we're basically kinda finishing up stuff that's in the shop right now repair-wise and- Uh-huh... got some stuff out that people ordered.
• 3:44
And, uh, otherwise we're working by appointment right now, which I think is fairly common. Yep.
• 3:52
You took your wipes out, you wipe down your shop, you wipe down your door handles, you wipe down everything, and you don't want a whole bunch of people coming in that you don't know pawing on everything and- Yep...
• 4:01
so I, I've seen a lot of different versions of the same basic thing. Call and make an appointment, we'll meet you outside. Yep. Call and make an appointment, we'll work with you if we know you.
• 4:11
And it, you know, just- We'll bring things to the curb for you... common sense sorta stuff. Mm-hmm. I hate to say common sense 'cause- I do too... people say common sense all the time that are orange. Yeah.
• 4:21
Totally agree with that. [laughs] Totally agree with that. But so yeah, so that's kind of how we're working it here. And of course, um, most bike shops these days have an online presence. Yep. And- Such as
• 4:32
everydaycycles....com. Um, and how that can help bike shops is not only by, you know, purchasing products you may need or want because, heckin' A, you, you got nothing to do but shop for, you know, things right now.
• 4:46
But, uh, otherwise buying a gift certificate- Yeah... that's a heck of a thing because- 'Cause that lasts forever. Right... I mean, for the most part. Right. Yeah, yeah, they don't expire, at least ours don't. Yeah.
• 4:55
And if you buy it and you have X numbers of dollars, you can... It's like a savings account for your bike.
• 5:00
You can sorta use it as you will down the road and sort of mitigate some of the, uh, uncertainty that's happening in the, in the short term here. What, what about a gift card bond?
• 5:14
So- You hold it for 10 years and it doubles in value. If, if the shop is in business 10 years from now- Well, that's the gamble you play... I will double your money. That's the gamble you play. There you go.
• 5:23
I like that idea. Yeah, I know. I'm, I'm selling $10,000 ones right now. Yeah, yeah. [laughs] Just five grand. Yeah. It's a good idea. The government's doing it. See?
• 5:32
How are you gonna pay for this $1.5 trillion of- We'll figure that out in 10 years... of, whatever they are. [laughs] Yeah, we'll kick it down the road.
• 5:38
I actually, uh- Yeah, that's, that's actually how the government works... I, I got a pretty interesting post yesterday on the Facebooks, um, and oh, man.
• 5:48
Julie's gonna kill me for not being able to pronounce her husband's last name, but, uh, Kransky or something like that. She's a big Midwest- Krasinski? Is that his- John? His... No, he's, like, from The Office maze.
• 5:56
Uh, no, he, he's a- [laughs] But her husband, Julie's husband is an attorney, and he's also a very serious foodie So he started a GoFundMe trying to earn $25,000 to go towards, um, displaced people in the food service industry, and he's putting $4,600 of his own money up to start it.
• 6:19
I like that idea. I mean, I've seen s- a bunch of GoFundMes. Yeah. I'm sure they're gonna come out of the woodwork.
• 6:24
Well, you know, I mean, some of our own friends are in the service industry, and, like, uh, Up and Under has a GoFundMe. Mm-hmm. Um, Bodhi didn't set it up, but he had somebody set it up.
• 6:34
I don't know that there's matching funds or any of that, but, you know, there's a $5,000 goal, and there was a significant amount of support for it already, and I've, I've seen several others. That's outstanding.
• 6:44
Outstanding. You gotta try to help people out. I mean, I'm very fortunate. I, I'm a nerd, so I get to work from home. 10-4. Right. I've been working from home since 1997. Yeah. So I guess [laughs] besides the shop.
• 6:56
Don't forget about the artists though. You know, I had the best- Say that again, James? Don't forget about the artists. Yeah. Don't forget about the artists. Uh- Yeah, yeah... James is not busking in here for, uh...
• 7:03
He's got a, yougotapayPal.me [laughs] address yet. Don't pay me. Pay it forward to your friends. Pay it forward to your friends, he says. There you go. There you go. I think, I think that's a good call.
• 7:14
Um, so yeah, so a- as, as, you know, bike shops are trying to, just like everybody else, I mean, we're not unique, but, um, we are unique in that you can still ride your bike outside. Yeah.
• 7:25
Maybe, maybe you can't go to the bar and have a beer. Maybe you- Maybe you can go to a brewery and have a beer. I, we're gonna go find out. We're gonna test that theory a little bit later. Yeah.
• 7:32
And Black Husky was closed for several days. I don't, they seem to have the lights on today. Lights are on right now. They opened lights up. Not sure what that's all about.
• 7:38
Maybe where you have dogs you can still be open. I would take my dog everywhere. [laughs] Not to make light of this, but, you know, I mean, this is a, the... All I can do personally is
• 7:51
kind of, um, go like, "What the fuck?" [laughs] You know, I gotta call my mom every couple of days, make sure no one's visiting her. Right. You know, it's kinda, it's that sort of looking out for people that are...
• 8:03
You know, my sister, two of my sisters and my brother and I are actually still flying to Mexico for vacation. Like, recently? I, I consider that, oh, how can I... I'm trying to think of the right word.
• 8:12
Oh yeah, it's stupid. Yeah, like D-U-M? Yeah. Like, I cannot believe they're still going through with this, you know? Although my brother-in-law, it could be because he's trying to infect the people of Mexico.
• 8:25
Is he one of those guys? Yeah, he is. Yeah. So, you know, anyway. I haven't actually heard a whole lot about Mexican, uh, coronavirus, because it's obviously a Chinese disease according to our- Yeah, exactly...
• 8:35
commander-in-chief. Oh my God. So, uh, all right. So we did the gift certificate thing.
• 8:40
Folks, if you got a bike shop you really like, this is a great way to help them out and have your own savings account for your bike down the road, or your, or your, or your bike needs.
• 8:50
Um, what else can we do to support shops? Here's another one. I would guess if shops in your area don't already pick up and deliver as part of their service, they will now. Absolutely. Give them a call. Yeah.
• 9:02
Have them come by. Yeah. Leave your bike locked outside, put a, a note in a, uh, in a, uh, baggie on your handlebar, say what my bike needs.
• 9:10
Lock it to something, give somebody the combo or leave a key somewhere, and have the shop pick up your bike and have it ready for when this all, uh, is behind us in- Yeah...
• 9:19
either two weeks or 18 months, or somewhere in between. I like that. That's a great idea. I've, I've kinda heard the new, the new, uh, the new old is, um,
• 9:30
trying to flatten the curve, you know, the flatten the curve thing, is that, um, we may go through waves of this where we kinda get a handle on it. Yep.
• 9:39
Kinda open shit up again, and everybody gets out there, and then another wave of, uh, infections comes, and then things get shut down again. So- And then they-... what, what are you basically describing?
• 9:50
I'm, it's called a wave, I think, or a- Influenza... a rollercoaster. Influenza. Say what? Same thing every year. Yeah, yeah. Rollercoaster. But I think this is more of a, it's a fast-acting thing.
• 10:02
It seems to infect people more quickly. Hey, speaking of, uh, infecting people, I have a public service announcement for you people. Oh, serious time.
• 10:11
COVID-19, better known as coronavirus, has spread throughout the world. There are a few ways to help lower the spread of this respiratory disease.
• 10:19
Wash your hands, avoid touching your face, including mouth, nose, and eyes, cover your coughs and sneezes, monitor your symptoms and consult with your doctor.
• 10:29
Stay at home and away from other sick people except for medical care. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces. For more information, please visit cdc.gov/covid19. Thank you. Hey, folks.
• 10:46
That's some very good advice, and, uh, it was brought to us by our podcast hosting partner, Blueberry.
• 10:52
If you've got a podcast and you need it to be hosted where you can have a whole bunch of people listening to it like we do, like- Check out Blueberry... one, one, B-L-U-B-E-R-R-Y, blueberry.com. They provided four.
• 11:04
I don't think I'm gonna play all four of them for you, but that's very nice of them to, uh- To be thinking of people... to be thinking of folks. Did you take a picture of James playing his guitar? I did. Oh, yeah.
• 11:15
By cracky, we've got a, that's a, that's a dang old big size thing of, uh- Yeah, that's, that's, but it's 99.9% of bac- viruses and bacteria. Uh-huh. We got the wipey down stuff. Baby wipes.
• 11:25
I've been wiping everything in the shop regularly. You know, that's how it goes. James got a selfie on Blueberry. Oh. Yeah. Right? Left-handed James. Look at that. Yeah. All right. So most shops pick up and deliver.
• 11:35
How about this one? I got a new one here. This is a new thing, the new idea I just came up with after the other idea I had. Huh.
• 11:41
Since your shop is probably somewhat, you know, working still, how about making an appointment with your favorite wrench? Hmm. How about just saying, "Hey, Donnie. Um, you know, uh, how you doing?" "I'm doing fine.
• 11:53
Let's, I'm, I'm doing good. Um, can we get an appointment and maybe we do one-on-one? You're feeling good, I'm feeling good, we're both feeling good, you know." Let's feel good together.
• 12:01
How about, how about let's, uh, let's have an appointment with your favorite wrench?
• 12:07
I know, that's a pretty good one Yeah I think that's pretty good Most tools you can carry with you, they could even do, like, service calls Or even go to the shop, you know? Yeah.
• 12:14
Mm-hmm I mean, like I said, our shop, you gotta knock on the door. I'm not letting you in unless I know you or I'm expecting you. I'm sorry. Or you're naked and good-looking I'm sorry.
• 12:19
If you got a bottle of old English 800 in your hand- You're not coming in... I'm probably gonna say, "Nah, not this time, buddy." I, I, I don't know. A lady came by, wanted air in her tire yesterday.
• 12:28
I said, "I'm happy to do that for you. Can you wait outside?" Locked the door and went to the bathroom. No. [laughs] I actually went and got the pump- Came back an hour later and she's gone... Right. I was...
• 12:35
And there she was still sitting there. So I, I brought the pump outside. I said, you know, "Thanks for being understanding, and I'll, uh, I'll pump your tire and, and, you know, have a nice day."
• 12:45
So, um, it, that worked out well that way. Uh, what else you got? Oh, we, uh, we talked about online shops. Uh, here's one for, I don't know, maybe 40 to 60 shops around the country. Order a Roll bicycle. Yeah.
• 13:00
  Roll bicycles are pretty kick-ass.
• 13:02
They're custom bikes built in Columbus, Ohio, uh, assembled and delivered to, uh, either you directly if there's no shop in your area, or a shop in your area that will do final assembly and, um- Fitting... and fit.
• 13:15
Well, and fitting and all that stuff. Yeah. But basically, you know, you can get a kick-ass bike and have it delivered in your area two to three days. Then you can get out there- Yeah...
• 13:23
'cause, you know, most gyms are closed now. It almost looks like there's a few of them in the shop right here right now for sale. Yeah, there's, there's some here. Yeah.
• 13:29
A couple of really, really super sexy ones at that. Sexy. But, you know, gyms are closed. You can't go in a place where there's a bunch of people- Right... sneezing and sweating and getting bodily fluids- Who'd want to?
• 13:38
... everywhere. Who'd want to? I don't want to even when- Yeah, I'd wanna ride my bike... I don't want to even when there's no- Right... COVID-19 out there. Totally agree. I wanna ride my bike. Wanna ride my bicycle.
• 13:45
But this might be a chance for people to get on their bike, if it's in the garage, or buy a new bike, dang it. Yeah. And, uh, you know, those Jim Menge- Menge- Mengiber ships. Something like that.
• 13:55
Man, what's a Mengiber ship? [laughs] I don't know. You know what that means. Oh, I think we are there. [bell ringing] That means dang old top of the hill time- Top of the hill. Top of the hill...
• 14:03
because, uh, the, the Mengiber ship means top of the hill. Uh-oh, I forgot what beer I'm drinking. Hang on. Well- You, you talk while I get my, my can.
• 14:10
And you get me a can, too, because we're actually, we actually have two different beers right now. We, uh, we've got the Rogue, ah, Bat Squatch, which is what I've been kind of, uh, having here a little bit.
• 14:22
Hazy India pale ale. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Very tasty. But the actual show beer is from our local brewery called Enlightened. Got you one pack. It's an N- oh, I'm gonna have a Bat Squatch again still. One?
• 14:35
All right, so it's dual, it's dualing show beers, but the En- the En- No, you can switch up. Nope. The Enlightened is a, um, imperative pale ale. Imperative pale ale. A hoppy quencher at 6.0% pale citrus floral.
• 14:49
We might be in it for the beer, but categorically speaking, that doesn't make us unreasonable. It's, uh, it drinks to me way more like an IPA than a straight pale ale. Right on.
• 14:59
I'll let you make that decision when you sample it, but- I still have a full- Oh, well then you better finish your Bat Squatch... a, a full thing of, uh, Bat Squatch from Rogue.
• 15:06
So Tony br- brought by beer the other day and it was in the fridge, and kind of, uh, unbeknownst to us, we ended up drinking beer today, so here we are. Yeah, it never happens.
• 15:15
But I'm gonna take a picture 'cause I bought the Bat Squatch str- s- solely on the label. Yeah. Yeah. Although I do already have a photo of that, so. Well. Feel free to take one yourself. Damn right I will.
• 15:28
You might have one of these behind it. How you doing? Ooh, wait it. It's not even a finger, you fucking weirdos. It's, it's a peace sign. Don't worry about it. Got it. So, uh, JK, our, uh, erstwhile colored gentleman, is
• 15:42
otherwise occupied moving some family member somewhere doing something something. Ah. Peace out, JK. But, uh, he's working from home. Well, almost the entire campus is working from home.
• 15:55
He's a, he's a, a, a UW, a UWM employee. Uh- His mom is rather elderly... yep, everyone's mom's elderly 'cause we're old our damn selves. That's right.
• 16:06
I had to ca- I had to cancel my mom's, uh, birthday party last Saturday because we were worried about her taking...
• 16:12
She's 85 and healthy as a, uh, healthier than I am probably, but didn't wanna be Corona Mary, taking it- Right... back to the, uh, to the, the place where she lives.
• 16:22
So, you know, we all got together and rode a bunch of bikes all over the place. Yeah, we did. Man, that was a lot of riding. It was a lot more riding [laughs] than I anticipated. I was- I was hurting...
• 16:30
I was happy to be riding. That was a great day of riding. It was a great day of riding, but let me, I'm just gonna tell you folks, if you get a big plate of food at McBob's- Ugh...
• 16:39
you can always take some of it home with you. Don't be a hero. Ugh. I was hurting the whole day. It took me a good two hours of kinda- Ugh... be able to lean over my bars again where my gut wasn't in the way.
• 16:50
[laughs] I was brutal. And then thank you Dave Szulbozki for some really interesting trail riding, but ugh, I was so full.
• 16:56
Yeah, coming up here in Milwaukee, folks, uh, they're working hard to make this, uh, little area called the Hobo Trails a, a real thing. And, uh,
• 17:06
you know, Milwaukee doesn't have a lot of hills, but I'll tell you what, this little spot, got a hill. Yeah, Dave found a hill. Snake back. Oh, yeah.
• 17:14
Even though he said- It, it, I, how, it can't be more than, what, five acres or something? It's not a very big- Oh, it's that. Yeah, it's small... but it's got 100 feet elevation, and there's a bunch of trails in it.
• 17:24
And he said you can run a solid hour in there basically not running over trail all the time that you've ridden before and get a really good workout, 'cause, you know.
• 17:35
Well, yeah, you're climbing 100 feet every couple of seconds. Every, every five minutes or whatever. Yeah. It, it- Lots of options... and it's pretty, it's pretty technical.
• 17:42
Yeah, there was some spots on there- You know, there's-... I was a little worried after, you know- You know... how many beers I'd, you know- Shout out to Dave Luntz for doing it [laughs] on a long tail. Yeah. Yep.
• 17:50
I don't think he went on, he might've done the switchback. He did do the switchback. It was, it was, it was kind of sketchy. Yeah. Yep. Sketchy switchback there, folks.
• 17:57
And, you know, uh, there, yeah, there was, it was a, some challenging ride in there. It was fun. All right, to finish off the Roll bicycle story- Oh, yeah. Getting back to that... rollbicycles.com. So here's the deal.
• 18:07
You can either have them delivered to your house, or if there's a dealer in your area, you just pick deliver to my local dealer, and bingity, bangity, boom, there you go. New bike in three to five days.
• 18:15
Mm-hmm Uh, how about I mention this one? And actually got a call from a guy in Chicago. He listened to show number 50. Uh, hope you listen again.
• 18:23
1,690 bucks, we're, we're gonna get rid of these four Chumba titanium fat bikes. 16- Four left... I think I told him 1680. I put 1690 on here, but 1680. Save that extra 10 bucks. Yeah. Buy a six-pack. And also- Maybe...
• 18:38
hey, support your local shop. Buy a frame. Yeah. Don't worry about it. We'll give you a discount on parts, too. Parts is good. Yeah. You're gonna need parts to make your bike. That's usually how it works.
• 18:47
He has a framed bike- Oh... and he's going to use what parts he may, if he buys one. Wow, that's great. From the framed which there was a fairly good chunk of parts that are actually interchangeable. That fit. Yeah.
• 18:58
Franken-monster? Yeah. Yeah. You know, you're gonna wanna go ahead and, uh, not spend your $7,800 in one spot. Yeah. Well- You can carry some parts over... if you want to, you can...
• 19:07
and the nice thing about a tie bike is you can always upgrade. Yeah, you can- Well, yeah, not the tie part... that's, well, I know, but the, the, the components- The rest of the bike. Exactly... that's why you do it.
• 19:16
That was our conversation. Well, shout out to my neighbor Sean, who, you know, he's got his Chumba and I'm sure as time goes on and his son Kobe breaks stuff, he'll be- Yeah.
• 19:24
You know what he was trying to do the other day? Stick a damn microphone on his bike. What's he doing? He was riding around today with it. What's he doing with the microphone? He's getting ready for the Riverwest 24.
• 19:32
He's got a 360 camera. He's gonna have a second chest camera. Does he have two turntables too? Uh, and a microphone maybe, yeah. Well, he was asking me how to mitigate- They do, as a matter of fact.
• 19:40
Yes, they do have two turntables in their, in their kitchen. He was asking me how to mitigate wind noise. I said, "Do you have a dead kitten?" He goes, "No, I got a dead cat, but it's not that good." [laughs] Yes.
• 19:51
Apparently, the dead kitten doesn't do the job. It's, uh... He needs something even more. He rides at such a massive fast pace that there's too much wind even for a- Well, and he's riding-... for a dead cat...
• 20:00
big, old knobbies. Yeah, I don't know. That's a, that's a good one. You need something with some active noise canceling. Yeah. Like, maybe he should put the podcasting rig on there and try that. Well, there I go.
• 20:10
Get yourself a Rodecaster Pro and stick it on the back of your bike and- Just put it in a backpack. Yep, you could do that... bat- battery backup. Yeah, you could have your own... That's a good idea.
• 20:19
Battery backup, you could pull that off. Yeah. Heck, I got a, one that I use for my strobes for my camera system that's a little smaller than the board that would probably run it for about f- 42 hours.
• 20:30
Man, that's, you know, that's- That's lots of power... more than the Riverwest 24. And it's a 120 input, so you just plug your board right in there. Kick ass. Mm-hmm. That's the way that works. Uh, I don't know.
• 20:43
What else we got? Not a whole lot. Just to go back to Roll bikes, too, don't be afraid to have one shipped to your house if you're not near a local dealer. True that. Because they're not that hard.
• 20:53
They, they put them together really well. I mean, I... The first one I assembled took me 10, maybe 15 minutes.
• 21:01
Well, the nice thing too is that they will, um, they use a body measurement system that gets the bike really close to working- Yeah... well for you right out of the box.
• 21:09
They mark everything, put these lines with those lines. And, uh, I think if you have a modicum of mechanical skill, you could do it yourself. Nice word, too. Modicum? Yeah. Mechanical- Yeah... skill.
• 21:23
Also, don't forget your bike shop if you have questions. Yeah, that's what they're there for. And if, you know, you don't have a Roll dealer in your area, they will ship the bike to a dealer.
• 21:32
Pay that dealer 75 bucks to take care of it for you, no charge to you. It's pretty cool. And, um, you get your bike assembled by somebody that knows what they're doing in case you don't.
• 21:41
And then when you have issues down the road- If you don't... Here, here's my, here's my, here's my thing. If you don't know what a torque wrench is, you probably don't want to assemble your bike.
• 21:50
It's a good way to look at it. If you don't know what a tire lever is, you might not- Yeah... wanna assemble your bike. [laughs] Unless you're just hulky enough to be able to take your tires off without one, but...
• 22:02
Well, if you're a fat biker, you don't need no damn tire lever anyway. No, you just need to stand on the wheel to bust that damn bead. That's not a fat bike thing. That's a dang old tubeless tire thing.
• 22:11
[laughs] I've done it with tubes and it's still been a fight. Every dang old tubeless... Well, sure, but if it's a tubeless-ready rim, yeah. Then you're, then you're in trouble, yeah. You gotta have a heel.
• 22:18
Yeah, that's another debate. Yeah. Tubes versus tubeless. Tubes versus tubeless. Yeah. No, that's not the, not really a debate anymore, but... I, I, I like the tube snake boogie. You, you do. I do what I do.
• 22:27
It depends on what you like and what you're doing. But here's the thing. If you're going tubeless, guess what? Carry a tube. [laughs] It's always good you carry a tube. You might get a flat. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well. Yeah.
• 22:40
Well. That was the abbreviated edition of- Well-... the Full Spectrum Cycling Podcast. Right, and, you know, we're...
• 22:46
Here's, here's something I'm trying to put together for next week, and I think it'll work, is, uh, we've been talking about having Zito on for a while here, and,
• 22:54
um, he's getting hit from two different angles on this, uh, this kind of outbreak shutdown thing. He's- Oh, God, yes, he is...
• 23:01
got a beautiful business started up and had everything all in place, 30 new bikes and touring Milwaukee and some great tour routes, uh, one of which we were fortunate to have ridden a couple weeks ago,
• 23:12
and he's gonna be on the show to talk about that. But, uh, apparently that's on hold, obviously, because we can't have groups of people, and tourists aren't traveling.
• 23:20
And to, uh, to cap it off, he's in the service industry as well, otherwise. So- Gig economy... gig. Giggity. Giggity.
• 23:28
So we're gonna, we're gonna talk to him next week about the initial kind of, uh, impact and then do a diary every few weeks and see how it's going. Yeah, I like that.
• 23:38
And just see this is just one guy in one facet, but in the cycling and service industries, and, you know, see how it's affecting him and, uh, kinda keep a log of, of what's going on. So next week- Mm-hmm...
• 23:50
Zito, don't worry about it. And, uh, if you know that J- uh, person, um, you know, give us a call. Hey, 717-272-453, next Wednesday, 7- Spells biker... PM to 7:30 or 8:00, whatever, we do it. Yeah.
• 24:06
And, uh, see if you can either hassle him or give him, uh, props one way or the other. Yeah. Sounds like a plan. All right then. So peace out. Uh, be safe. Wash your hands. 20- Uh, don't pick your nose... 20 seconds.
• 24:18
Uh- 20 seconds... sing happy birthday while you're doing it, et cetera, et cetera. Yeah. It's good stuff. And, uh, everybody stay safe. Get outside and cycle, though. Yep. Don't feel like- Fresh air. Yep.
• 24:26
S- fresh air is better than co- cooped up inside air. Absolutely.
