- 0:15Speaker 2: The views and opinions expressed on this program do not
- 0:18Speaker 2: necessarily reflect the views and opinions of five ADWCHS it's

- 0:30Speaker 3: Twenty two minutes past eight o'clock.
- 0:32Speaker 4: Very pleasant, good morning to you, Happy Friday to Charleston
- 0:35Speaker 4: in the Canall Valley. I'm del Cooper in the WCHS studio.
- 0:38Speaker 4: This is where we typically have asked the expert. We
- 0:40Speaker 4: do have an expert of sorts and studio with us
- 0:42Speaker 4: this morning, like the welcome end of the studio for
- 0:44Speaker 4: his semi regular adventures on the airwaves. Here it's Ron Hughes,
- 0:49Speaker 4: one of our account executives from the sales department. Are
- 0:52Speaker 4: you a senior account executive? I mean by title, yeah,
- 0:55Speaker 4: by title and by age. I was not going to
- 0:58Speaker 4: go there because everybody, because everybody was giving I wasn't
- 1:00Speaker 4: trying to go there. I just wanted to make sure
- 1:01Speaker 4: Ron's been here, one of our more senior sales representatives.
- 1:04Speaker 4: And I'm not here necessarily to sell you airtime this morning,
- 1:07Speaker 4: although if you have questions from more than welcome.
- 1:08Speaker 3: To call about that. We're here to talk about WD bargains.
- 1:11Speaker 4: If you've been a listener to this station for a
- 1:13Speaker 4: long time, this was something that actually started. It's gone
- 1:16Speaker 4: through different incarnations Turtle Bids that was previously called, but
- 1:20Speaker 4: this thing's been going on forever. And Ron, you told
- 1:22Speaker 4: me right before we went on the air, by the way,
- 1:24Speaker 4: good morning, thanks for the mid morning. You told me
- 1:26Speaker 4: before we went on the air that we're under an
- 1:28Speaker 4: anniversary on this one.
- 1:29Speaker 5: But yeah, forty years ago, this summer nineteen eighty five,
- 1:32Speaker 5: Paul Howard hired a consultant to do something different and
- 1:37Speaker 5: unusual and never done before, and it was a radio
- 1:41Speaker 5: auction called Action Auction. And the premise then as now
- 1:46Speaker 5: as we went to businesses and look for merchandise that
- 1:50Speaker 5: maybe they had extra of or they just weren't moving
- 1:54Speaker 5: it as fast as they wanted, and we would take
- 1:57Speaker 5: it and put it on our auction and sell it
- 2:00Speaker 5: to our listeners as a kind of a promotion to
- 2:05Speaker 5: help them out and get a bargain. Hence we call
- 2:08Speaker 5: it now WV Bargains West Virginia. You know, it's like
- 2:11Speaker 5: WVRC Media and our Bargains, So WV Bargains on the
- 2:15Speaker 5: Internet gives you a chance to buy things at a
- 2:19Speaker 5: ridiculously low rate on a silent auction. Now, when I
- 2:22Speaker 5: first started, there were no computers in every home, and
- 2:25Speaker 5: not a whole lot of businesses had them. And in fact,
- 2:28Speaker 5: I think all four Beatles were still alive back then,
- 2:31Speaker 5: or at least when I started in radio. By the
- 2:33Speaker 5: time we did this forty years ago nineteen eighty five,
- 2:37Speaker 5: we still had to do it live like a call
- 2:39Speaker 5: in auction, so we had a real auctioneer. We would
- 2:43Speaker 5: tell people month in advance all the items we had
- 2:46Speaker 5: and where they were. The listeners would have to go
- 2:49Speaker 5: to the stores to look at these items, and then
- 2:53Speaker 5: on one magic Day, which was on a Saturday, all
- 2:56Speaker 5: day we took phone calls and auctioned these items off
- 3:00Speaker 5: off one at a time, hoping people remembered to go
- 3:03Speaker 5: look at the items, and they did. We had tons
- 3:07Speaker 5: of calls. We sold every item we had at that point,
- 3:10Speaker 5: so it just kind of took off, so it's evolved
- 3:13Speaker 5: over the years. We have a different consultant. We do
- 3:16Speaker 5: it online using a silent auction, so you can get
- 3:19Speaker 5: a bargain starting at sixty percent off on things you
- 3:23Speaker 5: might use at any one time, you know, throughout your
- 3:26Speaker 5: lifetime or every year, and get it at a really
- 3:29Speaker 5: good price.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a few points to be made about the
- 3:32Speaker 4: process of this, and then we want to get into
- 3:34Speaker 4: some of the offerings are here. The interesting thing is
- 3:36Speaker 4: is that I think every one of these this is
- 3:38Speaker 4: a statewide thing because WRC Media is a statewide company,
- 3:41Speaker 4: so this ultimately is a state wee thing. Although you
- 3:42Speaker 4: can look by regions, so if you want to look
- 3:44Speaker 4: at and support Charleston businesses or whatever, you can do that.
- 3:47Speaker 4: But the important thing about this is that these are
- 3:49Speaker 4: all local businesses, so we're not contracting anything. And the
- 3:53Speaker 4: reason I bring that up, if you're on social media
- 3:55Speaker 4: at all anymore, I'm sure you probably are. You've probably
- 3:58Speaker 4: seen the same thing I am. Almost every or are
- 4:00Speaker 4: so many of the ads that you get anymore for
- 4:01Speaker 4: like things that are being drop shipped, and you may
- 4:03Speaker 4: not know what drop shipping as or know what it is,
- 4:04Speaker 4: but when you see the little gadget. There's like a
- 4:07Speaker 4: thirty second video of that's coming up in your social
- 4:09Speaker 4: media feeds, like, oh, look at this neat thing that
- 4:10Speaker 4: you can do when you fold it over and you're
- 4:11Speaker 4: running under the scenk and it does all these things.
- 4:13Speaker 4: It's like, wow, what that is is it's a company
- 4:16Speaker 4: that's paying for the advertisement.
- 4:17Speaker 3: You're buying it.
- 4:18Speaker 4: They're sending it what's called a drop ship company that
- 4:20Speaker 4: offers these products to anybody and they can brand it
- 4:23Speaker 4: however they want to. And then you're sending it off
- 4:24Speaker 4: to another country and they're sending it to your back here.
- 4:26Speaker 4: The product may or may not work. Who knows, you know,
- 4:28Speaker 4: it's not there the ad on Twitter or whatever you're
- 4:32Speaker 4: looking at as a pass through. These people have no
- 4:33Speaker 4: idea what it is that you're buying. It's a drop shipment.
- 4:36Speaker 4: It's a sterile kind of rolling the dice kind of
- 4:39Speaker 4: environment because you're getting something for a good value. Here,
- 4:42Speaker 4: you get something for a good value, and you're buying
- 4:44Speaker 4: completely local from people. You're not sending money across the world.
- 4:48Speaker 4: You're not getting it from another country, I mean at
- 4:50Speaker 4: least not from the product itself. These are all local
- 4:52Speaker 4: businesses that do business with our radio stations. So I
- 4:55Speaker 4: mean it's a huge difference from this stuff that you
- 4:56Speaker 4: see online the stage.
- 4:58Speaker 5: This is a legitimate auction with legitimate local businesses that
- 5:02Speaker 5: have been you know, some of them are fairly new businesses.
- 5:05Speaker 5: Some of them have been around I don't know, sixty
- 5:08Speaker 5: seventy eighty years. Gravely tractor and lawn equipment, you know,
- 5:12Speaker 5: they started in Dunbar, I think over one hundred years ago.
- 5:15Speaker 5: And other businesses that have that have been around a
- 5:19Speaker 5: while that like running boards and more in spring Hill,
- 5:23Speaker 5: you know, fairly newer business you know. And of course
- 5:26Speaker 5: now we have tattoos and you know, stuff that didn't exist.
- 5:29Speaker 4: And it's just a few couple of things that you've
- 5:31Speaker 4: talked about here. With regards of what your lifestyle is.
- 5:33Speaker 4: This isn't something you could go to and you're going
- 5:35Speaker 4: to search for something very specific, like you're looking for
- 5:37Speaker 4: a widget for your kitchen that you know, maybe it's
- 5:40Speaker 4: on here, but probably not for something highly specific, right,
- 5:43Speaker 4: but for things that are useful that you're looking for
- 5:46Speaker 4: from day to day lifestyle thing. Anything from like you
- 5:48Speaker 4: talked about a tattoos sleeve. There there's we always have
- 5:52Speaker 4: the the education for long haul trucking and council and
- 5:56Speaker 4: they're from doing County. I mean those are think of
- 5:58Speaker 4: how diverse those who things are, you know, I mean
- 6:01Speaker 4: those are two completely different ends of the spectrums. You're
- 6:03Speaker 4: talking about running boards. We have motorcycles, we have much stoves,
- 6:06Speaker 4: electric cars, wood stoves.
- 6:07Speaker 5: There's memberships like to try County YMCA and tays Valley.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Think about how valuable.
- 6:13Speaker 4: I mean, again, this is one of those things you're
- 6:15Speaker 4: likely to stumble across instead of coming across something that
- 6:18Speaker 4: you see that's need on social media. It's like, oh
- 6:19Speaker 4: maybe I could use that. This is more likely that
- 6:21Speaker 4: you're going to come across something saying oh that's something
- 6:24Speaker 4: that I could really use. Now, you know it's it's
- 6:26Speaker 4: it's kind of a subtle difference. But taking a look
- 6:29Speaker 4: at the when you go to the site, I want
- 6:30Speaker 4: to give you some basic constructions on how this thing
- 6:32Speaker 4: works and we can talk about the products. You go
- 6:34Speaker 4: to WV bargains dot com. That'll take you over to
- 6:36Speaker 4: the site. There's a nice little layout on all of
- 6:38Speaker 4: the different regions that we have, so you can take
- 6:40Speaker 4: a look at the regions. You can also look at
- 6:42Speaker 4: the broad categories and and and when you see the categories,
- 6:45Speaker 4: it's really worthwhile to look through those because you know
- 6:48Speaker 4: there's only so many categories, and so sometimes you have
- 6:50Speaker 4: to put things in the best place that they fit.
- 6:52Speaker 4: So just look through all of those. We have featured items,
- 6:54Speaker 4: and a lot of those featured items, those will be
- 6:56Speaker 4: rotating in and out up there, but we're going to
- 6:57Speaker 4: be really highlighting stuff that are for exceptional disc something
- 7:00Speaker 4: that's that's really standing out right now.
- 7:02Speaker 3: And something may be a great too too.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Something may be a great discount, but you might have
- 7:06Speaker 5: to drive to Beckley to get it. Yeah, right, right right,
- 7:08Speaker 5: exactly sixty percent off. I think I might drive to
- 7:10Speaker 5: Clarksburg or someplace like Morgantown.
- 7:13Speaker 4: There's an electric motorcycle in here as one of our
- 7:16Speaker 4: featured auction items right now. That's a twenty twenty four
- 7:19Speaker 4: Kawasaki Z seven hybrid and that thing retails for about
- 7:24Speaker 4: twelve five twelve five right right now, the starting bid
- 7:29Speaker 4: is five to six six hundred dollars. If you're in
- 7:32Speaker 4: the market for a motorcycle, that is a really big deal.
- 7:36Speaker 4: That's that I mean, it's sixty percent off, but I
- 7:38Speaker 4: mean sixty percent off of twelve five hundred dollars is
- 7:42Speaker 4: a big chunk of money that you're getting off.
- 7:44Speaker 5: Absolutely absolutely. Also, if you look at our featured items,
- 7:48Speaker 5: and you can look along with us if you want
- 7:49Speaker 5: to go to even you could even go use the
- 7:52Speaker 5: old name which everybody, a lot of people knew it
- 7:54Speaker 5: as Turtle Bids if you haven't done it lately, it's
- 7:56Speaker 5: now wb bargains dot com. But there's an electric coup
- 8:01Speaker 5: from nas and it looks like a smart car should
- 8:05Speaker 5: go for ninety nine hundred dollars, but you can get
- 8:09Speaker 5: it for like thirty nine to seventy.
- 8:12Speaker 3: And it's a four thousand dollars car. You know.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Larry Dawson is on here every Wednesday. And one of
- 8:15Speaker 4: the things we've lamented over the years is the fact
- 8:17Speaker 4: that the affordable car is out the window, like the
- 8:20Speaker 4: the the gently used affordable car has been out the window. Well,
- 8:24Speaker 4: here's a brand new.
- 8:25Speaker 5: Car twenty twenty four for four grand, right, I mean
- 8:28Speaker 5: that's or less than four cars. It's got alloy wheels,
- 8:31Speaker 5: reverse camera, it's a thirty mile range. I mean it's
- 8:34Speaker 5: it's a little bigger than a golf car.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it's small but it's covered and if
- 8:38Speaker 4: you're just looking for mallage around town, it's perfect for
- 8:43Speaker 4: something along those lines.
- 8:43Speaker 5: It's absolutely perfect. But you can go and look at
- 8:46Speaker 5: Charleston items only if you really don't think you want
- 8:48Speaker 5: to buy something and then drive to go get it,
- 8:51Speaker 5: or you can look at the items by like like
- 8:55Speaker 5: Coop said, by category. You know, there's like home and
- 8:58Speaker 5: garden and so forth, automotive related entertainment. But I mean,
- 9:03Speaker 5: I think that sewing machine is is a pretty neat
- 9:07Speaker 5: deal there.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I was going to say, you know, when
- 9:09Speaker 4: you again, you may not always think about like if
- 9:12Speaker 4: you're somebody that sews, or knows that somebody that sews,
- 9:14Speaker 4: it may not even be something that you think about
- 9:16Speaker 4: all the time. All I wonder if it's a bargain
- 9:17Speaker 4: on a sewing machine somewhere, you know, because it's not
- 9:19Speaker 4: something we think about all the time anymore. But when
- 9:21Speaker 4: you come here, there's a Brother sewing machine. It's a
- 9:23Speaker 4: it's a modern version of one. I can't really tell.
- 9:25Speaker 3: It's all over brand.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a Brother brand. It's a modern version computerized exactly.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Whatever that means. You probably have an app. Maybe it
- 9:31Speaker 4: does it for you who knows what it probably has.
- 9:33Speaker 5: It has programs, I'm sure, like memory of stitches and
- 9:36Speaker 5: so forth.
- 9:37Speaker 4: Like I wonder if you could program in like patterns
- 9:39Speaker 4: and stuff. Anyway, you can figure that stuff out in yourself.
- 9:41Speaker 4: It's seven hundred dollars that retails for and it's two
- 9:43Speaker 4: hundred and eighty dollars right now at the starting bid.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Absolutely these things and something that kind of caught my
- 9:48Speaker 4: attention too, because again in uh, whenever you're looking for things,
- 9:53Speaker 4: I just bought a new vacuum a couple months ago,
- 9:55Speaker 4: and I was looking around at different things and different
- 9:57Speaker 4: reviews and stuff like that. And if you want to
- 9:59Speaker 4: get a real value and not just something that costs,
- 10:01Speaker 4: you know, eighty bucks at the department store that will
- 10:03Speaker 4: maybe last for a year or so, and maybe get
- 10:05Speaker 4: that dog hair and the corners and stuff like that.
- 10:07Speaker 4: You can get anything. But if you're one to invest
- 10:09Speaker 4: in something that's going to help with allergies and really
- 10:11Speaker 4: get up the dust and really get the places you
- 10:13Speaker 4: have to invest a little bit of money. There's a
- 10:15Speaker 4: simplicity allergy upright vacuum that's on here now. It's a
- 10:18Speaker 4: four hundred dollars retail value. You can get it for
- 10:21Speaker 4: more of the modest department store price of one hundred
- 10:23Speaker 4: and sixty bucks. That's more like a modest vacuum instead
- 10:26Speaker 4: of something that's that's elite.
- 10:27Speaker 5: That's a better sale than you you get at any
- 10:29Speaker 5: department store when they put things on sale. Now, we're
- 10:33Speaker 5: kind of tantalizing you at this point, and I apologize,
- 10:35Speaker 5: but you can't start to bid on these things until June. Second,
- 10:38Speaker 5: that's right, So next, this is a preview a week
- 10:41Speaker 5: from this coming Tuesday, or this is coming Monday.
- 10:44Speaker 3: I'm sorry, a week from Monday, right right, you.
- 10:46Speaker 5: Can start bidding on that, but it doesn't hurt to
- 10:48Speaker 5: look and kind of get an idea of what you
- 10:50Speaker 5: want to take a look.
- 10:51Speaker 4: At and if and if from the folks that we've
- 10:54Speaker 4: when we've talked in the past. One of the most
- 10:55Speaker 4: popular things, and this is the one that I've gotten
- 10:58Speaker 4: the most myself, that I've paid money for, and that's
- 11:00Speaker 4: Eddie Tires and Service. They offer a five hundred dollars
- 11:03Speaker 4: retail certificate that you can start off about getting at
- 11:06Speaker 4: two hundred dollars. You often get these great deals and
- 11:08Speaker 4: if you're somebody that needs new set of tires, get
- 11:11Speaker 4: your oil change, inspection, all those things that you can
- 11:13Speaker 4: get done once a year. You can because Eddie's Tires
- 11:16Speaker 4: always does this. You can buy your certificates through here,
- 11:18Speaker 4: get everything you need and taken over there at an
- 11:20Speaker 4: incredible discount. They do great they do great work. That's
- 11:23Speaker 4: where I get my new tires, the alignments that I
- 11:25Speaker 4: need and and my inspections and stuff. And usually it's
- 11:28Speaker 4: after I have body because that's the one thing does
- 11:31Speaker 4: it's such a great deal. I get these every year.
- 11:33Speaker 5: Well, I hope we're not competing against each other because
- 11:35Speaker 5: I remember I've bought one in the past, the.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Guy that drives it up a little bit. There's a
- 11:39Speaker 3: lot of them.
- 11:39Speaker 5: There's a bunch of them on here. You can go
- 11:41Speaker 5: back and and somebody started to bed on one. You
- 11:45Speaker 5: can go to another one and start.
- 11:47Speaker 4: A bid exactly. But they're great, they're great deals. And
- 11:49Speaker 4: that's just one of the things that's like a convenience
- 11:51Speaker 4: thing that helps you out with that. And then I
- 11:53Speaker 4: almost got this from my wife last year. But there's
- 11:55Speaker 4: like even full car tents and my wife's huge on
- 11:57Speaker 4: car tens. Her car right now doesn't have one. And
- 12:00Speaker 4: I held off last year but I think I might
- 12:02Speaker 4: get it for this year and get it for her
- 12:04Speaker 4: birthday because that's a nice thing as well.
- 12:06Speaker 5: This is professional tinting right here. I mean, it's one
- 12:08Speaker 5: hundred and fifty dollars value, and you could get it
- 12:12Speaker 5: for as little as what sixty dollars if you you know,
- 12:16Speaker 5: if you get there early. And there's a couple of
- 12:18Speaker 5: those two. But that is something that we've had for
- 12:24Speaker 5: years with this auction, and it does. It sells out
- 12:27Speaker 5: every time. It's from the tent guy in Nitro exactly. Yeah,
- 12:30Speaker 5: I mean, it's just something that we always have.
- 12:33Speaker 4: It's something that we always have one here and they
- 12:34Speaker 4: are extraordinarily popular at all given times. By the way,
- 12:37Speaker 4: if you have any questions, or maybe you've bought something
- 12:38Speaker 4: in the past on turtle bids or WV bargains and
- 12:41Speaker 4: you want to talk about you're welcome to give as
- 12:42Speaker 4: a call this morning if you want three zero four,
- 12:44Speaker 4: three four five fifty eight fifty eight, or if you
- 12:46Speaker 4: have any questions about this. We're just kind of talking
- 12:47Speaker 4: about the different things that go along, different things you
- 12:49Speaker 4: can find. We were talking about the history of it
- 12:51Speaker 4: and sort of the process of how it works, and
- 12:53Speaker 4: I kind of laid out my lamentations against all of
- 12:57Speaker 4: these ads that we see anymore, for all this junk
- 12:58Speaker 4: that gets pushed into your social media, that are these
- 13:01Speaker 4: drop shift items from other countries that are just oftentimes
- 13:05Speaker 4: just junk items. Even if you get them for a
- 13:07Speaker 4: pretty decent price, you fall for the easy video and
- 13:10Speaker 4: you might be thinking, well, okay, you explain to us
- 13:12Speaker 4: what this thing is. But at sixty percent off, there
- 13:14Speaker 4: has to be a catch somewhere, And all I have
- 13:15Speaker 4: to tell you is, don't you worry about it.
- 13:17Speaker 3: The catch is between us and the folks.
- 13:19Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, I'll admit it. We're taking the loss on it. Yeah,
- 13:22Speaker 5: I mean we are taking the loss because it's a
- 13:25Speaker 5: valuable promotion. We want to engage with our listeners, We
- 13:27Speaker 5: want our business partners to engage with you, the listener,
- 13:31Speaker 5: and we want to make it fun. And any kind
- 13:33Speaker 5: of business promotion is going to cost us money. I mean,
- 13:36Speaker 5: that's just the nature.
- 13:37Speaker 4: We're giving one of our more valuable things to a
- 13:40Speaker 4: client in exchange for these goods that we can then
- 13:43Speaker 4: turn around and offer at a bargain, and they can
- 13:45Speaker 4: offer it a bargain for our listeners, So we pay
- 13:47Speaker 4: for that premium, not you. And that's not a if
- 13:50Speaker 4: there's not a any hidden fees in there, that's just
- 13:53Speaker 4: the truth. We do this to put on the promotion
- 13:55Speaker 4: and we eat that cost basically to give you the
- 13:58Speaker 4: the the discount on it so you don't wait for
- 14:01Speaker 4: the other shoot to drop. You're not going to get
- 14:02Speaker 4: a twenty percent increase somewhere. You're not going to see
- 14:05Speaker 4: a processing fee for three hundred dollars. It's going to
- 14:07Speaker 4: make good on what the actual retail of the value
- 14:09Speaker 4: of the thing is going to be. None of that stuff.
- 14:10Speaker 4: This is legit.
- 14:11Speaker 5: I think with some of the taxes involved on the vehicles.
- 14:14Speaker 5: Buying a car, you would expect.
- 14:15Speaker 3: That the normal stuff is worth that goes.
- 14:17Speaker 5: You know, that's something we can't avoid because of the government.
- 14:20Speaker 5: But I will let you know. There are some new
- 14:21Speaker 5: things that have never been in here before.
- 14:23Speaker 3: What are they. I haven't looked at the entire site yet.
- 14:25Speaker 5: From running boards and more they have running boards, obviously,
- 14:29Speaker 5: Tanno covers, bedliners. I have about twenty five thousand dollars
- 14:33Speaker 5: worth of stuff that are in that category of running boards,
- 14:38Speaker 5: factory style running boards for Silverado's for f one to
- 14:41Speaker 5: fifties for Rams. I've got Nerf bars for Ford Rangers
- 14:48Speaker 5: from Rams. You just can't believe the huge amount of stuff.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Twenty five thousand dollars worth of accessories for a truck.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Wow, there's about that.
- 14:58Speaker 5: There's a lot of stuff. There are pages on pages stuff.
- 15:01Speaker 4: Now with girlfriends, wives out there. I don't want to
- 15:03Speaker 4: tell you what to do, but if you're thinking about
- 15:05Speaker 4: something for Father's Day or for Christmas, and you're well,
- 15:08Speaker 4: somebody likes to buy early, think about all the things
- 15:11Speaker 4: you could get your your loved one to trick out
- 15:14Speaker 4: or men who have women that love trucks. I mean,
- 15:15Speaker 4: it doesn't matter to me, but just think about all
- 15:17Speaker 4: of the things that you could get, the accessories that
- 15:20Speaker 4: maybe you couldn't get it to time for the deluxe package,
- 15:22Speaker 4: or things that you've seen your brother have on his
- 15:25Speaker 4: truck that you want to have. I mean, this is
- 15:26Speaker 4: your opportunity to really kind of trick out your your
- 15:29Speaker 4: your ride.
- 15:30Speaker 3: If you're right.
- 15:30Speaker 5: And some of these, you know, are eight hundred dollars
- 15:32Speaker 5: six hundred dollars a piece, you're getting them at sixty
- 15:36Speaker 5: percent off starting out, So.
- 15:38Speaker 4: Just imagine being able to give that to your to
- 15:40Speaker 4: your truck lov and significant other if they're looking to
- 15:44Speaker 4: elevate their truck games just a little bit, because I
- 15:45Speaker 4: mean in this area everybody has their truck. You know,
- 15:47Speaker 4: there's a bit of a there's always useful things, not
- 15:51Speaker 4: only just decord of things, but useful things that you
- 15:53Speaker 4: can do to upgrade your upgrade your trucks and.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Things like that.
- 15:56Speaker 5: Now swinging around one hundred and eighty degrees, there's jewelry
- 16:00Speaker 5: coming from again from a repeat participant, Pettit Jewelers up
- 16:05Speaker 5: in Jewelry up in South Hills. They have a two
- 16:09Speaker 5: hundred and fifty dollars gift certificate for any item in
- 16:12Speaker 5: the store. They also have a five hundred dollars gift
- 16:16Speaker 5: certificate for any item in the store that includes you know, rings, bracelets, necklaces,
- 16:21Speaker 5: diamonds and so forth. So I was going to say,
- 16:24Speaker 5: and we have a new participant, Thomas Jewelers over in
- 16:28Speaker 5: Kano City. That's oh yeah, McCormick Jewelers. Yeah, nighbers to you.
- 16:33Speaker 5: But they have a couple of pieces. They have a
- 16:37Speaker 5: diamond pendant and some diamond ear rings. So I think
- 16:41Speaker 5: the diamond pendant usually goes for a thousand, So you're
- 16:44Speaker 5: going to be able to get that at sixty percent off.
- 16:46Speaker 5: And same thing with the with the ear rings. I
- 16:48Speaker 5: think they're about five hundred, so you get those at
- 16:50Speaker 5: sixty starting at sixty percent off.
- 16:52Speaker 4: So if we were talking to maybe the ladies a
- 16:54Speaker 4: few minutes ago and their men that love trucks men
- 16:57Speaker 4: or ladies that have men in their lives that love
- 16:59Speaker 4: diamond or however that situation works. You know, they tell
- 17:02Speaker 4: the guys that wear diamond nice rings or something, or
- 17:04Speaker 4: maybe they have that state championship ring they need that
- 17:07Speaker 4: needs to be resized now like maybe you know they
- 17:10Speaker 4: like telling stories down every Saturday night at at karaoke
- 17:13Speaker 4: and they need to have that state championship ring resized.
- 17:15Speaker 3: You know, whatever you need to do there.
- 17:17Speaker 4: But in all honesty, if you're looking to get a
- 17:19Speaker 4: a nice piece of jewelry for for your loved one,
- 17:22Speaker 4: and maybe you've you've had a little barriers. It's tough times,
- 17:25Speaker 4: you had a little bit of barriers, or maybe you're
- 17:27Speaker 4: saving up for that engagement ring. When we're talking about
- 17:29Speaker 4: getting gift certificates for for any item where you can
- 17:33Speaker 4: just get uh for wes, same as clash. If you've
- 17:35Speaker 4: been saving up and you're doing the thing like the
- 17:36Speaker 4: three months, maybe you just shave a month off that salary.
- 17:38Speaker 4: You know, if you can get it for sixty percent off,
- 17:41Speaker 4: you can you can pop the question a little earlier,
- 17:42Speaker 4: you know.
- 17:43Speaker 5: Well with with Pettitt, it is a certificate to pick
- 17:45Speaker 5: your own thing now at Thomas Jewelers. That's these specific
- 17:48Speaker 5: These are specific pieces and they will be up. They
- 17:50Speaker 5: will be up. You can see them when they're ready.
- 17:52Speaker 5: I don't think they're up yet, but they are. I've
- 17:55Speaker 5: seen them. They're they're beautiful. So if you have a
- 17:58Speaker 5: mostly ladies, I think we by the pendent. You know,
- 18:01Speaker 5: so we have a lady that would like to have
- 18:03Speaker 5: a piece of jewelry that kind of makes you look
- 18:06Speaker 5: good for having bought it. You know, this might be right,
- 18:09Speaker 5: and nobody knows it has to know you got it
- 18:11Speaker 5: at such a such a wild discount.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Yeah, you can tell.
- 18:14Speaker 4: You can tell your closest friends that you got at
- 18:16Speaker 4: it for a while discount.
- 18:17Speaker 3: But the people you want to brag exactly.
- 18:20Speaker 5: But if you want to have other people that you
- 18:21Speaker 5: want to impress, like, hey, here's what I can do, right,
- 18:24Speaker 5: look off frugal iron. Now there's all as usual, there's
- 18:27Speaker 5: a lot of swimming items, you know. I think we
- 18:32Speaker 5: have the wave pool in here every year from down
- 18:35Speaker 5: in Tays Valley and Hurricane, and there's also City of
- 18:39Speaker 5: Saint Albans City Pool as season passes as well. So
- 18:44Speaker 5: if if you want to be fit, there are opportunities
- 18:47Speaker 5: here to be fit for for pools, for the y
- 18:49Speaker 5: M c A and Tays Valley, for gym memberships. But
- 18:53Speaker 5: there's also something we've never done before. I don't think
- 18:55Speaker 5: we've done it forever and forever. Maybe we did it
- 18:59Speaker 5: ten or twenty years ago, but we have dance classes
- 19:02Speaker 5: for kids or adults. But you know how dance classes
- 19:06Speaker 5: usually start in the fall, they go through the spring
- 19:08Speaker 5: and they have a recital. We have one like that
- 19:11Speaker 5: from Saint Alban's Studio of Dance. Never done one like
- 19:14Speaker 5: that before. It's a one year class for dance. Choose
- 19:18Speaker 5: from ballet, tap, jazz, modern lyrical. They have technique classes
- 19:22Speaker 5: adult tap. This is an award winning studio and if
- 19:26Speaker 5: you ever watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, this is
- 19:29Speaker 5: the one that's on TV every year from Saint Alban's.
- 19:32Speaker 5: They always go to Macy's Thanksgivings Day Parade. They're repeat
- 19:36Speaker 5: national champions. So you know, one of these classes, you know,
- 19:41Speaker 5: with all the activities that I mentioned, usually it's about
- 19:44Speaker 5: fifteen hundred dollars, you're going to be able to get
- 19:46Speaker 5: that class for your student or yourself for about sixty percent.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Off man every one of these.
- 19:53Speaker 4: And I'm thinking, I have a young daughter and this
- 19:56Speaker 4: is something that we're looking to get her into as
- 19:58Speaker 4: far as dance for gymnational she has to choose. But again,
- 20:02Speaker 4: sometimes the cost is a barrier for these things. You know,
- 20:04Speaker 4: when you have an up, up and coming family, be
- 20:06Speaker 4: able to get something for significantly under discount, Yeah, exactly
- 20:10Speaker 4: is that's a huge difference. So it makes a huge
- 20:12Speaker 4: difference to moms and dad that are trying to get
- 20:13Speaker 4: stuff like this.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Done, right.
- 20:15Speaker 5: I mean, it's it's one we've never done before. But
- 20:17Speaker 5: I know that's there's a lot of dance studios around town.
- 20:20Speaker 5: I noticed, you know, all their parking lots seems to
- 20:23Speaker 5: be full. That is something that people do a lot of,
- 20:26Speaker 5: you know, with with kids, and it gives them something
- 20:28Speaker 5: to do but also improves their you know, their hand
- 20:31Speaker 5: eye coordination, the fitness and so forth, and their and
- 20:33Speaker 5: their self confidence.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Yeah, that's absolutely very true.
- 20:36Speaker 4: You're listening to Ask the Expert this morning, having a
- 20:38Speaker 4: special special show this morning giving you a preview of
- 20:41Speaker 4: WV Bargains, which is going to be going live a
- 20:43Speaker 4: week from Memorial Day, a week from Monday, so we're
- 20:45Speaker 4: still ten days or so away. This is a little
- 20:47Speaker 4: bit of a teaser show, but we're just trying to
- 20:49Speaker 4: give you an idea of what to expect on WV Bargains.
- 20:52Speaker 4: You have a week to make the bids once once
- 20:54Speaker 4: it goes live on on Monday the second, and is
- 20:57Speaker 4: that we have Monday the second, and then at Friday,
- 21:00Speaker 4: five o'clock of that week is when the bids will close.
- 21:02Speaker 4: And so you have that week to kind of keep
- 21:04Speaker 4: my eye on things. And when you sign up for
- 21:06Speaker 4: your account and make bids, I think you can choose
- 21:08Speaker 4: to be notified if somebody outbids you and stuff like that,
- 21:10Speaker 4: so you can go by and take a look at
- 21:12Speaker 4: it and see if you want to continue the bidding
- 21:13Speaker 4: on it. But that's something that it's going to go
- 21:15Speaker 4: live on the second. You can go and create an
- 21:16Speaker 4: account now, so if you wanted to, you can go
- 21:18Speaker 4: to WV turtle Bids dot com or I'm sorry WV
- 21:21Speaker 4: barheads dot com and you can go ahead and create
- 21:24Speaker 4: an account to get ready, so then when we go
- 21:25Speaker 4: live on the second, you'll be ready to bid and
- 21:27Speaker 4: set things up and take a look at everything we have.
- 21:29Speaker 4: I encourage you to go take a look at least
- 21:31Speaker 4: at the things that are over there right now, because
- 21:32Speaker 4: there's a lot of different things that you might want
- 21:34Speaker 4: to keep your eye on, either for yourself, you give
- 21:36Speaker 4: yourself a gift, nothing wrong with that, get for the
- 21:38Speaker 4: loved ones, or just stuff you need around the house.
- 21:40Speaker 4: There's tons of stuff here and maybe we'll touch on
- 21:42Speaker 4: some of those things when we come back. Some things
- 21:43Speaker 4: you might just need around the house. Need a fireplace,
- 21:46Speaker 4: we gott avoid wood burning stove.
- 21:47Speaker 5: Well, everybody does taxes, so there's tax for tax returns
- 21:50Speaker 5: as well.
- 21:50Speaker 4: Yeah, there's all kinds of things in here that we
- 21:52Speaker 4: can help you out with around your house as well.
- 21:54Speaker 3: So let's go and do this. Now.
- 21:55Speaker 4: Let's go to take a break. We have to pay
- 21:56Speaker 4: the bills. We'll take a break. When we come back,
- 21:59Speaker 4: we'll wrap up our conversation talking about w B Bargains,
- 22:02Speaker 4: which is going live a week from a week from Monday,

- 24:57Speaker 4: It is Friday here in the any of Charleston, in
- 25:00Speaker 4: the state of West Virginia and the country of the
- 25:02Speaker 4: United States of America. Thanks for tuning in to five
- 25:04Speaker 4: ADWHS this morning. I'm del Cooper. Ron Hughes is in
- 25:07Speaker 4: studio with me this morning. Sales executive extraordinary here at
- 25:11Speaker 4: the radio station, and Ron's been out hustling, hitting the streets.
- 25:14Speaker 4: We've he's been helping to populate our WV Bargain site,
- 25:18Speaker 4: which is going to go live on the second, a
- 25:20Speaker 4: week from Monday, and we have tons and tons and
- 25:23Speaker 4: tons hundreds of great bargains on here from.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Throughout the state.
- 25:26Speaker 4: We've been highlighting a little bit of some of our
- 25:28Speaker 4: Charleston clients and some of the great things that they'll
- 25:30Speaker 4: be giving away, anything from tattoo sleeves to car tents
- 25:33Speaker 4: to well, we didn't talk about some of the household
- 25:35Speaker 4: items that will be in there, but one of the
- 25:37Speaker 4: things that's in here that I think it's pretty interesting anyway,
- 25:39Speaker 4: is there's a wood stove. Now, I had somebody in
- 25:41Speaker 4: my family just a couple of years ago that was
- 25:43Speaker 4: in the market to get.
- 25:44Speaker 3: A new wood stove.
- 25:46Speaker 4: And it's not that it's difficult to shop for anything
- 25:49Speaker 4: like that, but it's one of those things, like anything,
- 25:51Speaker 4: until you start shopping, you don't know just how somewhat
- 25:54Speaker 4: complicated and nuanced all of the options and things along
- 25:57Speaker 4: those lines are, nor the price of these things. It's
- 26:00Speaker 4: a brand new wood stove. You could look in the
- 26:02Speaker 4: range of three to five thousand dollars for these things,
- 26:04Speaker 4: they're pretty expensive.
- 26:05Speaker 5: Yeah, there are several price points with that. Wood stoves
- 26:08Speaker 5: and gas stoves, so what you've seen so far, and
- 26:13Speaker 5: we usually have stoves every time. But there's a Meridian
- 26:17Speaker 5: Platinum thirty six inch fireplace by Majestic which has a
- 26:21Speaker 5: top and rear direct vent. It's like forty eight hundred dollars,
- 26:24Speaker 5: so you're going to save several thousand. Find that on
- 26:28Speaker 5: the auction. There's also like simple gas log sets twenty
- 26:31Speaker 5: four inch gas or natural gas or propane. You know,
- 26:36Speaker 5: it's got an electronic ignition pilot, so it's yeah, it
- 26:39Speaker 5: warms and it's for show, but starts out at two thousand.
- 26:42Speaker 5: You can get it for sixty percent off.
- 26:46Speaker 4: Yeah, And when you think about something like that, if
- 26:48Speaker 4: you're remodeling a portion of your house, or if you're
- 26:51Speaker 4: replacing a stove or something like this, sometimes timing is everything,
- 26:54Speaker 4: you know. I mean, maybe this time three months ago
- 26:56Speaker 4: you weren't looking for a wood stove. Maybe in three
- 26:58Speaker 4: months from now, you're not looking for woodto but you're
- 27:00Speaker 4: redoing the part of your house that needs one now.
- 27:03Speaker 4: Man Providence sometimes plays King you know, I mean, this
- 27:06Speaker 4: is a great opportunity to maybe get that piece that
- 27:08Speaker 4: you need at a discount and save a little bit
- 27:10Speaker 4: off your budget for rebodel.
- 27:12Speaker 5: Absolutely, I mean, if you could get sixty percent off
- 27:14Speaker 5: a forty eight hundred dollars fireplace or Pacific Energy super
- 27:19Speaker 5: wood stove, that's attractive. Yeah, you're looking at that one
- 27:23Speaker 5: on the screen. You know it's pedestal with a black
- 27:25Speaker 5: door and it's got extended burn technology baffle system twenty
- 27:30Speaker 5: nine hundred and fifty eight dollars. So you're going to
- 27:33Speaker 5: get that for let's see three, you know, quite a
- 27:36Speaker 5: bit off. Sixty percent off I think would get it
- 27:40Speaker 5: for you for three six nine twelve hundred dollars. Yeah,
- 27:44Speaker 5: right around that three three thousand dollars stove for about
- 27:47Speaker 5: twelve hundred bucks.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Yeah, it's there are great deals that with any sort
- 27:51Speaker 4: of walk in your life, you can find things that
- 27:53Speaker 4: are in here. And I know that it's a little
- 27:54Speaker 4: bit scattershot. We're trying to give you ideas of all
- 27:57Speaker 4: the different things that are in here. Another thing I
- 27:59Speaker 4: just wanted because I just now and I want to
- 28:00Speaker 4: give them a shout out. My friends over at Elk
- 28:02Speaker 4: City at the auto detailing place. That's where I take mine.
- 28:07Speaker 4: Every single time I've had in my car detailed over there,
- 28:10Speaker 4: I think three times in the last three years. I've
- 28:12Speaker 4: taken one a year just and frankly, they do such
- 28:15Speaker 4: a good job. As long as you're not a slob,
- 28:17Speaker 4: that's really all you need. I take it in once
- 28:19Speaker 4: a year. I get a pristine as close to new
- 28:21Speaker 4: as possible. Then I take care of my car over
- 28:23Speaker 4: the next year, and my car always looks pretty nice. Frankly,
- 28:26Speaker 4: they do a great job, man. They get all the
- 28:28Speaker 4: little you know, they'll they'll loosen up your seats and
- 28:30Speaker 4: raise them up a little bit. If they need to
- 28:32Speaker 4: get underneath there. They make sure to get the roof,
- 28:34Speaker 4: you know. That's something that a lot of places miss,
- 28:36Speaker 4: is cleaning the top part of your lining. They make
- 28:39Speaker 4: sure to get that. If you need to put some
- 28:41Speaker 4: biochemical stuff in there to get rid of some dog
- 28:43Speaker 4: smell or smoke smell or something, they can help you.
- 28:46Speaker 3: With that as well. They do just such a great
- 28:47Speaker 3: job over there.
- 28:48Speaker 5: That's kind of place you take your car too when
- 28:49Speaker 5: you want the Q tip treatment, where they get you know,
- 28:51Speaker 5: if it's a tight spot that you still see dirt
- 28:53Speaker 5: in there.
- 28:54Speaker 4: They'll take it literally, those little places like on your
- 28:56Speaker 4: console where you shift gears or something a little they
- 28:59Speaker 4: get the little area in there the perfect place to
- 29:01Speaker 4: take your vehicle. Frankly, if you're looking to resell it
- 29:03Speaker 4: to like you, if you're putting it on the market,
- 29:05Speaker 4: either you're on a trade it in or you're trying
- 29:07Speaker 4: to sell it for cash or something for for not
- 29:10Speaker 4: even at retail costs, it's not that big of an investment,
- 29:12Speaker 4: but at the cost that you can get it for
- 29:14Speaker 4: on WV bargains where you know this saying the deluxe
- 29:17Speaker 4: deal is is a few hundred dollars cost you can
- 29:21Speaker 4: get it for two hundred dollars. Invest that in your
- 29:23Speaker 4: car before you sell it, and then when somebody comes
- 29:25Speaker 4: to take a look at your car, or you take
- 29:26Speaker 4: it in for a trade in, it's going to look
- 29:28Speaker 4: at its most pristine level when you do that.
- 29:31Speaker 5: And this he does a great, great job. I've known
- 29:34Speaker 5: him for several years. Something that a lot of people do.
- 29:38Speaker 5: I know with my grandkids, they have these inflatable party
- 29:41Speaker 5: rentals sometimes at their house, and you know the bounty
- 29:44Speaker 5: houses and you know the slides and things like that.
- 29:47Speaker 5: That are inflatable. Quantum Party Rentals has a five hundred
- 29:51Speaker 5: dollars gift certificate. I've seen my kids spend close to
- 29:55Speaker 5: that paying for full price for party rentals, So you
- 29:58Speaker 5: can get that for a little was two hundred dollars
- 30:01Speaker 5: in the auction. Now we don't have I have to
- 30:04Speaker 5: give you a caveat here. We don't have everything up
- 30:07Speaker 5: yet that you can preview. But by the end of
- 30:09Speaker 5: next week you will be able to see everything and
- 30:10Speaker 5: preview it.
- 30:12Speaker 4: And again, I just I didn't even see this one
- 30:14Speaker 4: here before, but there's there's an I wave air ionization system.
- 30:18Speaker 4: I was looking at what this thing was because I
- 30:19Speaker 4: had suspicion, and indeed, this is one of those air
- 30:22Speaker 4: purification systems you put in your ducks. I've done shows
- 30:26Speaker 4: on this before with folks that did heating and cooling
- 30:28Speaker 4: and duct.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Working and stuff. So this is a inside the dust.
- 30:31Speaker 4: Yeah, So you put this ionization system in your ducks
- 30:33Speaker 4: as your air is being pushed throughout your home. This
- 30:36Speaker 4: actually helps remove particles from your air and really gives
- 30:38Speaker 4: you that ionization air, you know, the very clean air
- 30:42Speaker 4: from allergens and stuff. This thing's gonna sell right now.
- 30:44Speaker 4: I knew that this was like one thousand dollars upgrade
- 30:47Speaker 4: to your HVAC system. That thing at sixty percent off
- 30:51Speaker 4: is under four hundred dollars. I mean, that thing is
- 30:52Speaker 4: awesome for folks that suffers from allergies and stuff like that.
- 30:55Speaker 4: I've done shows on that before, so that just something
- 30:57Speaker 4: random that you run across on there. I got kind
- 30:59Speaker 4: of excited when I said, is that really one of
- 31:01Speaker 4: those things.
- 31:01Speaker 5: That kind of takes some pressure off of your air
- 31:04Speaker 5: filter too exactly?
- 31:05Speaker 4: And it helps and all those things that are you know,
- 31:08Speaker 4: our our air filters get down to a certain you know,
- 31:10Speaker 4: micrometer or whatever it is of the filterization that this
- 31:13Speaker 4: this picks up the other end of that. You know,
- 31:15Speaker 4: it uses the the ionization and I think it creates
- 31:20Speaker 4: a positive particles anyway. The way that it cleans the
- 31:22Speaker 4: air is pretty is pretty interesting. There's just so many
- 31:24Speaker 4: things on here for us to talk about. It's pretty
- 31:26Speaker 4: amazing when you can.
- 31:27Speaker 5: I'm trying to highlight a few things we've never done before.
- 31:30Speaker 5: There's a fifteen hundred dollars certificate for for like custom
- 31:34Speaker 5: T shirts for like your team or for your company
- 31:37Speaker 5: or your church organization. Fifteen hundred dollars gift certificate to
- 31:40Speaker 5: Curry Creations in Saint Albans. You could do T shirts,
- 31:45Speaker 5: you could do polos, you do hoodies with you know,
- 31:49Speaker 5: with different designs on it, and they take care of it.
- 31:51Speaker 5: And this is like fifteen hundred dollars will get you
- 31:53Speaker 5: quite a few outfits. You know, if you if you're
- 31:56Speaker 5: a company and need uniforms for your for your employees,
- 31:59Speaker 5: or you need T shirts for your team this summer,
- 32:03Speaker 5: it's a perfect place to go.
- 32:04Speaker 4: My wife's family used to have T shirts made on vacations,
- 32:07Speaker 4: so they would have like their family vacation T shirts
- 32:09Speaker 4: that they would take out. Anything along those lines would
- 32:12Speaker 4: certainly be useful for things like that, And you're right,
- 32:14Speaker 4: we've never had that before, but that that would be
- 32:17Speaker 4: extraordinarily useful for like a youth youth team or something
- 32:20Speaker 4: like that that needs to get some uniforms done or
- 32:24Speaker 4: something along those lines.
- 32:25Speaker 3: That would be extraordinarily useful for them.
- 32:26Speaker 5: And I see a lot of businesses have their own
- 32:30Speaker 5: their own polos with the this is a perfect opportunity to.
- 32:35Speaker 3: As a matter of fact, do that as well.
- 32:36Speaker 5: I think we do that also, something we usually have
- 32:40Speaker 5: and we will again as a generator, a generat portable
- 32:43Speaker 5: generator from Xpect Power in l Few. So this is
- 32:46Speaker 5: this is a nice piece. It is an ac rated
- 32:50Speaker 5: output of sixty five hundred watts. It's got some special
- 32:56Speaker 5: lubrication for it to automatically and automatically safeguards them engine
- 33:00Speaker 5: from damage. So it's got a low oil level shut down.
- 33:05Speaker 5: It's got an hour meter that tracks your maintenance intervals,
- 33:08Speaker 5: you know, when it needs maintained things you don't even
- 33:11Speaker 5: think about, you know, it kind of takes care of
- 33:12Speaker 5: it for you. It's also electric start. That one retails
- 33:17Speaker 5: at nine point forty you know, obviously you're going to
- 33:19Speaker 5: get it for a lot less than that sixty percent
- 33:21Speaker 5: off at least.
- 33:24Speaker 4: The just incredible deals going all the way down through here.
- 33:26Speaker 4: There's also a vacations and getaway segment. Again these aren't
- 33:29Speaker 4: fully fully populated yet, but just looking in here one
- 33:33Speaker 4: of the great staycation things that we do here in
- 33:34Speaker 4: the state of West Virginia, especially during the spring and summer,
- 33:36Speaker 4: oh anytime during the year. But we like our outdoor sports,
- 33:39Speaker 4: we like going on water and things like that. And
- 33:41Speaker 4: there are some packages for cabins at Lake Stevens and
- 33:44Speaker 4: other places that you can go on. And again, now
- 33:46Speaker 4: we're talking about stuff that might cost a few hundred dollars,
- 33:48Speaker 4: that might make it a little bit of a barrier
- 33:50Speaker 4: to get through. But if you get it for much
- 33:52Speaker 4: less than that, and you're planning a family vacation or
- 33:54Speaker 4: a family reunion or anything along those lines, that really helps,
- 33:58Speaker 4: especially for in one of those situations were you split
- 34:00Speaker 4: it among family members or something like that. Suddenly if
- 34:02Speaker 4: you're splitting something that was six hundred dollars and everybody
- 34:05Speaker 4: needed to bring a couple hundred dollars, and suddenly you
- 34:07Speaker 4: get that down to much less than that. I mean,
- 34:09Speaker 4: you can find a good bargain on here. Again, you
- 34:11Speaker 4: got to check it out. Yeah, exactly on the water
- 34:14Speaker 4: last at Lake Stevens. That's what's when they're now I
- 34:17Speaker 4: have a feeling we're gonna have more of these packages that.
- 34:19Speaker 5: We usually do, or you can check some of the
- 34:21Speaker 5: other cities for packages of vacations, because if you're going
- 34:25Speaker 5: to let's say somewhere in the northern part of the state,
- 34:28Speaker 5: you look at our Morgantown station items or maybe something
- 34:31Speaker 5: there that you're obviously going to go to. We also
- 34:34Speaker 5: have I think we might have mentioned it, but last
- 34:38Speaker 5: year was first time we've had tattoos. This year we
- 34:40Speaker 5: have two different sets of tattoos from two different vendors
- 34:44Speaker 5: on opposite ends of the valley. So you can kind
- 34:46Speaker 5: of pick your design. You got to you gotta credit.
- 34:49Speaker 5: You know, you're basically buying a certificate to pick your
- 34:51Speaker 5: design for a tattoo with those ones that Paraduncle's tattoo
- 34:57Speaker 5: in Marmette, the other ones and all the other end
- 34:59Speaker 5: of the county at Venompit Tattoo in Old Main Plaza,
- 35:03Speaker 5: Saint albans as a.
- 35:05Speaker 4: This is a little bit out of area, but just
- 35:06Speaker 4: to give you an idea of the wide variety of
- 35:08Speaker 4: things that you might find on here. I have a
- 35:11Speaker 4: young daughter is who's homeschooled right now. However, I was
- 35:14Speaker 4: looking at one of the things that we have on here.
- 35:17Speaker 4: For education, the Greater Beckley Christian School was offering nine
- 35:19Speaker 4: month elementary tuition. This is at sixty percent off right now.
- 35:23Speaker 4: If you're someone looking to send your kid to private school,
- 35:25Speaker 4: or you do already, and maybe you can just give
- 35:27Speaker 4: yourself a month break or a year break on the
- 35:29Speaker 4: tuition when you pair a sixty percent discount with the
- 35:32Speaker 4: Hope Scholarship, you can really get that year tuition down
- 35:36Speaker 4: considerably and save you some money. I mean, preparing things
- 35:39Speaker 4: like that together logically really could make some sense for you.
- 35:42Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, absolutely. I mean I see one of
- 35:44Speaker 5: those tuitions is like fifty.
- 35:47Speaker 4: Five hundred dollars. That if you get it for sixty
- 35:48Speaker 4: percent off, that's twenty two hundred dollars. You apply the
- 35:50Speaker 4: Hope Scholarship to that, and suddenly you're looking pretty good
- 35:52Speaker 4: to for a year at tuition.
- 35:54Speaker 5: You almost had free school exactly. A couple of last things. Yeah,
- 35:58Speaker 5: thirty seconds left on new thing. We've add pest control
- 36:01Speaker 5: either General pest Control, termite baiting or mosquito services from
- 36:06Speaker 5: Spotlight Pest Control. Uh, they're out of Saint Albans. There's
- 36:10Speaker 5: also some mowers. These are models that never sold their
- 36:15Speaker 5: brand new as far as never nobody's ever owned them.
- 36:19Speaker 5: But there's there's mowers, a chipper, and a snowblower from
- 36:22Speaker 5: from Gravely Tractor.
- 36:24Speaker 4: That's great, that's great, it's great information. We have to
- 36:26Speaker 4: wrap up the show. We have so much that we
- 36:28Speaker 4: can talk. Let's do this again in a couple of
- 36:29Speaker 4: weeks once again. Maybe during the auction. Yeah, we'll do
- 36:32Speaker 4: this again, then doing the auction. Maybe after next week,
- 36:35Speaker 4: we'll do this again. We'll let you folks notice what's
- 36:36Speaker 4: going on. WV bargains dot Com, w V bargains dot com. Ron,
