- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
- 0:04One of the more ridiculous claims in the new legal
- 0:08filings by Prince Andrew is him actually trying to tell
- 0:12us that him and Glane Maxwell weren't homies. It is
- 0:16one of the most absurd claims I've heard in quite
- 0:19some time, and folks, we've heard them all since we've
- 0:23been following this case. But Prince Andrew is adamant in
- 0:27these court filings that him and Glane Maxwell, you know,
- 0:30they were just casual friends, you know, pass you by
- 0:33in the bar, give you a nod of the head
- 0:35as you're going to get a pint and keep it
- 0:37moving type friends. I guess. Meanwhile, the facts tell a
- 0:41completely different story. Tonight, we're going to talk about an
- 0:44article from The Mirror that points to nine different times
- 0:48Glane Maxwell and Prince Andrew we're looking pretty chummy. But
- 0:53we're also going to discuss an article from the New
- 0:56York Post about Jess Staley before we even dive in
- 1:00about Prince Andrew and his cozy relationship with Glen Maxwell. Now,
- 1:06Jess Staley is well, I guess I should say, was
- 1:11one of the most powerful men in the financial world.
- 1:14This dude was the gatekeeper over at JP Morgan for
- 1:20a very very long time. He ran the investment banking
- 1:24division over at JP Morgan, and that is where all
- 1:28of the big shots come, you know, to do their
- 1:30willing and dealing with their money. They come in and
- 1:34you know, these guys manage the money for them, make
- 1:36transactions whatever it may be. This is what the division
- 1:40is there for. And Jess Staley was the guy who
- 1:44was the big shot over there, mister head honcho, mister
- 1:47dud in charge, and him and Jeffrey Epstein were really close.
- 1:52Another one of those relationships that doesn't get the kind
- 1:55of spotlight that it deserves, and it certainly does deserve
- 1:59a whole lot of spotlight, just like the situation with
- 2:02Leon Black. When you have somebody like Jeffrey Epstein and
- 2:06he has access to movers and shakers like this in
- 2:09the financial world, what are we supposed to think when
- 2:13these people are lobbying for him, when these people are
- 2:16giving them one hundred and fifty eight million dollars for
- 2:19I'm using air quotes right now, folks, advice, what are
- 2:22we supposed to think that it's all on the up
- 2:25and up that these guys are just you know, chums
- 2:27and they're hanging out having a chat like the rest
- 2:30of us over you know, Crispy Taco Night. Nobody's buying it.
- 2:35Nobody believes that bs. And I'm not gonna sit here
- 2:38and tell you that, you know, there's a room full
- 2:40of six people who are sitting around, you know, controlling
- 2:43the world or anything like that. I'll leave that to
- 2:45other people. That's out of my lane. But what I
- 2:49will tell you is this, people like Jess Staley, people
- 2:52like Leon Black, those people really hold the keys. If
- 2:56you're in control of the financial world, if you're the
- 2:58in control of the way of you know, the money
- 3:03is moving through the banking system, that would give you
- 3:07a lot of power, wouldn't it. And when you have
- 3:09some of the biggest people in the world in this
- 3:14industry hanging out with Epstein and facilitating his financial malfeasance,
- 3:20what are we supposed to say? Are we just supposed
- 3:22to just say forget it, turn our heads and say, ah,
- 3:25no big deal. Usually that's what we would do, right
- 3:27if it was just the usual stealing and evading taxes
- 3:31and all of that jazz, shrug our shoulders and move on.
- 3:33We have bigger problems. All of us got to feed
- 3:36our families and we got to continue to pay the
- 3:38poor people's tax. Right. But they messed up. They're really
- 3:42messed up. When they thought that they were gonna get
- 3:44over on us with this one, when they thought that
- 3:46the Jeffrey Epstein stuff was just gonna blow over and
- 3:49everybody was gonna forget about it. That's not the case.
- 3:53Nobody's forgetting about it. People want answers, and people like
- 3:57this who were connected to Epstein, who were lobbying for
- 4:02him at a huge firm like JP Morgan should be
- 4:06held to account. And I know he lost his job
- 4:08at Barclays, right, that's a good first step. But why
- 4:12haven't we had a real look into the financials here?
- 4:15You mean to tell me all of the financial transactions
- 4:17Epstein was moving through this bank. We're on the up
- 4:20and up. We already know that's not the case. We've
- 4:23already seen the finds that these banks have got slapped
- 4:27with for their malfeasance, for not respecting the fins in process.
- 4:33But none of these bankers, the men in charge, the
- 4:36women in charge, the people at the top. When do
- 4:38any of them get held accountable. Nobody goes to prison.
- 4:42None of these people ever go to prison, and that's
- 4:45because they're the ones that are holding the bag. And
- 4:49we all know what happens when a president gets elected
- 4:52in America, Inevitably, his whole entire cabinet, transition staff, all
- 4:57of it is filled with people from the financial sector,
- 5:00and then you wonder why the wheel just continues to
- 5:03go around and round. All right, So we're gonna talk
- 5:07about this article real quick from the New York Post
- 5:10and Jess Staley. It's a relatively short article. That's why
- 5:13we're doing it at the top end here of this
- 5:15episode and not doing an episode for this article alone.
- 5:19I don't think there's any point in doing an eleven
- 5:21minute episode, so we'll just tack it on here and
- 5:24then we'll add the other article right here to the
- 5:27back end. This article was authored by Lydia moynihan and
- 5:34it was posted in the New York Post headline oust
- 5:38did Barclay CEO Jess Staley reportedly backed Epstein at JP Morgan.
- 5:44I mean, it's just crazy. JP Morgan's like this gigantic house,
- 5:48you know, big time financial institution, and this is the
- 5:53sort of stuff they're really getting up to when all
- 5:56of the nonsense and you know, the curtains are pulled
- 5:59back and you peel their face off when they're talking
- 6:03about how woke they are or whatever. Really what they're
- 6:05doing is they're trying to refocus all of our energy
- 6:09and all of our oh you know, rage, if you will,
- 6:14at each other as opposed to them. And they got
- 6:17a good glimpse of what was going on during Occupy
- 6:20Wall Street, and they understood that there was a ground
- 6:23swell coming against them, so they changed their tactics. Meaning
- 6:26Corporate America right, and places like JP Morgan and these
- 6:30banking institutions, let's put on a friendlier face. But just
- 6:34because they say that that's what they are, just because
- 6:37they say that they're, you know, hipped to the times,
- 6:39we all know that BS walks right. It's a lot
- 6:45of BS from these companies because when you look at
- 6:47the way they conduct business, it's the same old or
- 6:51even worse than usual. Recently, oust did Barclay CEO Jess
- 6:57Staley went to bat for convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein
- 7:00when he ran the investment banking division at JP Morgan.
- 7:04According to a report, JP Morgan was examining whether to
- 7:08boot Epstein as a client because of his thirteen month
- 7:11prison sentence tied to soliciting sex from a minor, meaning
- 7:14having sex with an underage girl. Soliciting sex from a minor.
- 7:18What an absolutely ridiculous charge. An absolutely ridiculous charge. There's
- 7:23no such thing as soliciting sex from a minor. You're
- 7:27committing you know, if under a certain age, you're committing
- 7:32a rape, statutory rape at the very least. But Staley,
- 7:41who ran the Giant's investment bank, argue that Epstein had
- 7:44paid his debt to society and should remain a client.
- 7:47According to the report Wednesday in the Financial Times, I mean, yeah,
- 7:50he really paid his debt to society. Huh. Folks had
- 7:53to check into the jail for a couple hours a day,
- 7:56was able to run around, still conduct business, go to
- 7:58his office, and according to some survivors, continue to abuse
- 8:02people while there was a riff on duty. But nah,
- 8:05nothing was a miss down there in Palm Beach either.
- 8:08I mean, really, he paid his debt to society. Huh.
- 8:11There's not enough punishment on this planet for this dude
- 8:14to repay his debt to society and forget that his
- 8:18debt to these survivors. Staley's efforts came after Epstein was
- 8:25convicted in two thousand and eight. According to the FT,
- 8:28JP Morgan eventually severed its relationship with Epstein in twenty
- 8:32and thirteen, the same year Staley departed the JPM for
- 8:36a new job at the hedge fund at a hedge fund,
- 8:39before rising to run Barclays in twenty and fifteen. Now,
- 8:45I guess it's just another coincidence, right, That's what people
- 8:47who want to that's what they'll tell you. Oh, it's
- 8:49just another coincidence. Me. I don't know what to call it. Sure,
- 8:53are a lot of coincidences. In this case, camera's not
- 8:56pointing at the jail cell he happens to leave in
- 8:58two thousand and thirty, right when the relationship with Epstein ends.
- 9:02You know, just a coincidence, I guess, folks. But really,
- 9:05what's going on here is you see the correlation, the
- 9:09relationship with Epstein and Jess Staley. It was a tight one,
- 9:13and Staley was a huge, huge deal when it comes
- 9:16to making the money move. Staley's support for Epstein at
- 9:21JP Morgan underscores his long standing ties to the disgraced
- 9:25financier Pedophile and how he advocated on Epstein's behalf well
- 9:29before it resulted in Staley's exit from Barclay's late last year.
- 9:33In November, report surface that Staley and Epstein had exchanged
- 9:37around twelve hundred emails during Staley's thirty year tenure at
- 9:41JP Morgan. Some emails revealed questionable and unexplained phrases like
- 9:45snow white, according to the Ft, and we talked about
- 9:48this too, snow white. I mean, look, you can delve
- 9:52into a lot of different things when you're talking about
- 9:55code words and find yourself down a lot of rabbit holes.
- 9:59But they're obviously using some kind of code here. Okay. Now,
- 10:03I'm not one of the wind talkers. I'm not gonna
- 10:05sit here and tell you, oh I've I got my
- 10:07little decoder ring out of the cheerio box and I
- 10:09figured it all out. But they're obviously up to something.
- 10:13Staley stepped down from Barclays in November after he reviewed
- 10:16initial findings from a probe by UK regulators into whether
- 10:20he had mischaracterized his relationship with Epstein as purely professional.
- 10:25According to the Ft, Staley is contesting the findings. JP
- 10:29Morgan declined to comment to the FT. A spokesman for
- 10:33Staley also declined to comment. Shocking, right, and they'll get
- 10:36away with it. Nobody will hand these people no way.
- 10:39They're too busy covering the Stormy Daniels case. Staley has
- 10:44stated his relationship with Epstein fizzled following the banker's departure
- 10:48from JP Morgan. And that's an ongoing theme too, right, Oh,
- 10:51our relationship fizzled, Our relationship ended, shocking. But even after
- 10:57he left the bank, helmed by Jamie Diamond, he visited
- 11:00Epstein at his private island in the Caribbean, Little Saint James,
- 11:03according to reports. And I you know, Jamie Diamond will
- 11:06never get called on the carpet for this either. Never. He's,
- 11:09you know, one of the golden boys for all of
- 11:12the political class. Remember, folks, who's holding the bag here?
- 11:15It ain't you? Well you think your one hundred two
- 11:17hundred dollars donation to insert politician here is moving the needle.
- 11:21They're not accepting your call when you call their office,
- 11:24are they You're getting a staffer? You think Jamie Diamond
- 11:28gets a staffer if he calls the office of whatever
- 11:30politician he's looking to talk to. Staley worked at Blue
- 11:35Mountain Capital from twenty and thirteen to twenty and fifteen
- 11:38before nabbing the top job at Barclays in twenty and fifteen. Meanwhile,
- 11:43Epstein began working with Deutsche Bank in twenty and thirteen,
- 11:47according to the FT, after being cut off by JP
- 11:50Morgan following Staley's departure from JP Morgan. Epstein died in
- 11:55twenty and nineteen in prison as he awaited trial on
- 11:58charges he's sextic miners. Now, Deutsche Bank is just a
- 12:03den of scum and villainy, and they've been slapped with
- 12:06so many fines that it's not even funny. And now
- 12:09my question is how many people have they hit with
- 12:12the poor people tax? And what I mean by the
- 12:15poor people tax is the inflated rates of borrowing the
- 12:20finance rates. How many people have they absolutely hammered with
- 12:24a twenty percent rate on a car for a piece
- 12:27of garbage car that's hardly gonna last. These people are
- 12:31just gross. Honestly, at this level, when we're talking about
- 12:35this level of banker and the way they conduct themselves,
- 12:38you think they care about the survivors or that Jeffrey
- 12:41Epstein was a convicted sex offender. No way. He brought
- 12:45more money to their pockets, more prestige, opened, some more doors,
- 12:48had some more relationships built for them, And like I
- 12:52always say, with people like this, the means always justifies
- 12:56the ends. And to the rest of us, we look
- 12:59around and we just our heads, like, really, one's enough enough.
- 13:02Don't you people have enough money? Don't you have enough power?
- 13:05But for them the answer is always no. Now, Jess
- 13:09Staley is somebody I've been talking about for a long time,
- 13:12and before the pandemic, I said that he was in
- 13:15big trouble back then, and it took a little while.
- 13:18Obviously Barclays was trying to uh write the ship, if
- 13:22you will, during the pandemic and didn't want to upset
- 13:25the apple cart. But the writing was on the wall,
- 13:28and it's no shock to me that he's out, especially
- 13:31considering we know how much deeper his relationship with Epstein
- 13:34went then they even let on. So that's where we're
- 13:37at with Jess Staley and the situation he finds himself
- 13:41in currently. Now onto our next article from The Mirror.
- 13:47This article was authored by Alana Kindred headline nine Times,
- 13:53Prince Andrew and Glene Maxwell looked like good pals, as
- 13:56he denies closeness. Now, we talked about this a little
- 14:00bit earlier. What a ridiculous claim. How are you going
- 14:03to say to anybody that you and Ghlaine Maxwell weren't close.
- 14:06It's so ridiculous that his lawyers would even add this.
- 14:10I just don't even know what to say about it. Honestly,
- 14:13Prince strongly as excuse me, Prince Andrews strongly denied he
- 14:17was close friends with now convicted sex trafficker Glainne Maxwell.
- 14:21At least they got it right and called her a
- 14:22convicted sex trafficker here. That's a good start. The Duke
- 14:26of York's reported attempt to distance himself from Maxwell comes
- 14:29as he has demanded a trial by combat, I mean
- 14:31a trial by jerry denying to a New York court
- 14:34a catalog of sex abuse allegations brought by his accuser,
- 14:39Virginia Roberts. So obviously that was the first salvo for
- 14:44him answering these accusations and giving us this ridiculousness that
- 14:49we're talking about still tonight. On December twenty ninth, Maxwell
- 14:53sixty was found guilty of offenses relating to her work
- 14:56as a fixer for the Duke's associate Jeffrey Epstein, convicted
- 15:00pedophile and billionaire. She faces up to sixty five years
- 15:03in prison. So a couple things. Duke's associate Jeffrey Epstein,
- 15:08There were both of the Duke's associates, okay, and I
- 15:11would say that he was probably closer to GLEAINN Maxwell
- 15:14than he was to Epstein. Even let's remember Galaiine Maxwell
- 15:17was the gatekeeper to the social climb ladder. Miss Roberts
- 15:25claims that Epstein and Maxwell made her have sex with
- 15:28the Duke three times when she was seventeen, including once
- 15:32in London. Prince Andrew, who has always strongly denied the allegations,
- 15:36but up until now it was a very generic version
- 15:39of denial. Right, Well, he dropped his formal denial, and
- 15:43I guess you can see why he kept generic for
- 15:46so long, because he has nothing to go on. In
- 15:49an eleven page response to Miss roberts lawsuit yesterday, Andrew
- 15:53denied wrongdoing, but he did say in this document that
- 15:57he met Epstein in or around nineteen ninety nine. The
- 16:01Prince refuted her major claims while admitting to befriending Epstein,
- 16:06but denied he was ever a close pal of British
- 16:09socialite Maxwell. Trafficker Maxwell, you mean and again, absolutely ridiculous, ludicrous, moronic, stupid, gaslighting,
- 16:19whatever you want to call it. It's all of that.
- 16:21Because we know it's not the case. We've seen the pictures.
- 16:25The Duke sixty one said it was not true and
- 16:28he was a free that it was not true that
- 16:30he was a frequent guest of Epstein's various homes around
- 16:32the world, including New York City, where he sexually abused
- 16:36Virginia Roberts at Epstein and Maxwell's invitation when she was
- 16:40a minor. Andrew's strenuous denials of not being close with
- 16:44Maxwell comes years after the pair have been photographed together
- 16:48on multiple occasions around the world. I mean yeah, around
- 16:52the world. Everywhere you can imagine. These two have been
- 16:55photographed together. They had a long history together, folks. And
- 16:59you don't have access to the palace the way she did,
- 17:02or to the property the way she did, if you're
- 17:04not close to somebody Epstein and Maxwell at Balmoral. The
- 17:12photo of Epstein and Maxwell sitting in the Queen's log
- 17:14cabin in Glenn beg Balmoral was taken in the late
- 17:17summer or early autumn of nineteen ninety nine. So there's
- 17:20one for you. You know, you got the picture of these
- 17:23two at Balamoral. Certainly not a good look for them.
- 17:28The next instance, Andrew Maxwell, Donald Trump, and Epstein and
- 17:32mar A Lago. February two thousand, Andrew was photographed with
- 17:36Donald Trump and his wife Milania Trump. In the background.
- 17:39You see Epstein looking directly at the camera and Maxwell's
- 17:42face is seen peering into the frame on the right
- 17:45hand side. I mean, we all know that these people
- 17:47were all paling around together. It's not even a debate
- 17:51at this point. Now we don't know exactly the specific
- 17:58roles of every single person involved, but we do know
- 18:01anyone that was hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein knew what
- 18:05he was about, knew that he was not a normal guy,
- 18:08And if you were hanging out with him after the
- 18:10first conviction, you knew he was a convicted sex offender.
- 18:14Andrew and Maxwell at Ascot. Prince Andrew and Maxwell attended
- 18:17the Royal Ascot in June two thousand. They were photographed
- 18:20with Epstein, another one of the Duke's former girlfriends, Carolyn
- 18:24Neville and her husband Edward Stanley, Andrew and Maxwell leaving
- 18:28the wedding of a former girlfriend. September two thousand, the
- 18:31duke attended the wedding of his former girlfriend or really
- 18:34a cecial, with Maxwell. The pair arrived together but walked
- 18:37in separately, according to reports at the time. I mean, look,
- 18:42all of these different examples are just more evidence of
- 18:47the BS he was trying to run on us. The
- 18:50next one Andrew and Maxwell partying at a Halloween party.
- 18:53The pair were photographed together at supermodel Heidi Clume's Halloween
- 18:57party in October of two thousand. Now, remember how close
- 19:00they were at this point in time. And now Andrew
- 19:02will tell you, oh, well, we weren't close. So what
- 19:04are you doing at the Hookers in the Pimps and
- 19:08Hose party Hookers and Pimps theme bash at the Hudson Hotel,
- 19:12Because that's what you were doing at the Halloween party
- 19:14with at how do he clomems Halloween party? So you're
- 19:18there with Maxwell, but you're not close, you don't know her.
- 19:20You just go to a hookers in Pimps party, Pimps
- 19:23and hose party. I mean, when I worked in the
- 19:27joint here in Las Vegas. Those parties were wild, absolutely
- 19:31insane types of parties invited on a shooting weekend at Sandringham.
- 19:38Photos from December two thousand have shown Maxwell and Epstein
- 19:41on a pheasant shoot with Andrew. They spent the weekend
- 19:44in Norfolk at the Sandringham estate. Andrew spoke to the
- 19:47BBC News Night in twenty nineteen about his links to
- 19:50Epstein and when he was asked about that weekend, he said,
- 19:53it was a straightforward shooting weekend. Whatever that means. Anyone
- 19:57want to explain to the rest of us what that means?
- 19:59A straightforward shooting weekend? What you have bent shooting weekends,
- 20:02crooked shooting weekends. What is a straightforward shooting weekend? Andrew
- 20:08photographed with Roberts and Maxwell in London. Now we all
- 20:11know about this photograph. I'm not even gonna go into it.
- 20:15Maxwell and Kevin Spacey's tour of the palace. So we
- 20:19know Kevin Spacey and Maxwell had a tour of the palace,
- 20:21got the pictures, the whole nine. So again, how are
- 20:25you going to tell us that you're not close with
- 20:27Glene Maxwell? And then finally for this article, but certainly
- 20:31not the last time they were hanging out. Andrew Maxwell, Epstein,
- 20:34and Harvey Weinstein at Andrew's daughter Beatrice's birthday in two
- 20:39thousand and six. Beatrice's eighteenth birthday party was held at
- 20:42Windsor Castle. Photos published in The Sun on Sunday shows
- 20:46now convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein with Epstein and Maxwell
- 20:50talk about the Three Stooges, the three gross disgusting morons.
- 20:55Maxwell wore a feathered mask as she smiled in photos
- 20:58taken at the bash that was a ten by some
- 21:00four hundred guests. Epstein was being investigated by US authorities
- 21:04at the time he attended the party. Two months later,
- 21:07he was issued a warrant for sexual assault of a minor.
- 21:10You mean to tell me that nobody warned the Prince.
- 21:12Nobody in the Foreign Affairs Office called over and said, Hey, look, dude,
- 21:16Jeffrey Epstein's sick fuck boys. What are you guys doing?
- 21:20Maybe they didn't, but I'll tell you what either way,
- 21:24what's Prince Andrew doing? I mean, here's an idea, why
- 21:26don't you google the people you're hanging out with. During
- 21:31a newsnight interview in twenty nineteen, Andrew claimed he didn't
- 21:35know about the proceedings and that Epstein had attended because
- 21:38he had invited Maxwell. So again he says in the interview,
- 21:41he invited Maxwell, but all of a sudden him and
- 21:44Epstein were the close ones. None of it makes sense,
- 21:47all right, the whole story he's pitching, and this whole
- 21:50entire line that him and Maxwell weren't close might be
- 21:53what sinks him here. And that's why I wanted to
- 21:55focus on this again tonight. Pretty sure Judge Kaplan's going
- 21:59to take a look at this and say the same
- 22:00thing I'm saying, what are you talking about, Buddy? I
- 22:03see the evidence here. You were obviously close to her,
- 22:06And if you can't be truthful about the very basics,
- 22:09the small little nuance, then you're definitely not being truthful
- 22:14about the overall story either. So that's where it's at
- 22:17with Prince Andrew. And when you look at the rebuttal
- 22:22he put forward here, it is absolutely ridiculous. And for
- 22:27him and his legal team, I mean, maybe they were
- 22:29excited when they put that together. They all had a toast,
- 22:33maybe clanked a couple of glasses, thought they did a
- 22:36good job. But boys, tell you what, barely getting a
- 22:41c grade here and lucky to get that, because this
- 22:45whole entire response was not the right way to go
- 22:49about it in my opinion. Anyway, I guess we'll have
- 22:51to see. We'll come back and we'll check this episode
- 22:55after all is said and done, and we'll see if
- 22:57I was close to the mark or not. But so far,
- 23:00when we're talking about these people and the way they've
- 23:04gone about defending themselves, this has not been the right
- 23:06way to do it. They've all failed, and I would
- 23:09expect to see Prince Andrew fail as well if he
- 23:12keeps this up. Especially So tomorrow morning we'll pick back
- 23:16up and we'll see what's going on with Maxwell and
- 23:19Epstein and Andrew and the rest of them. And you
- 23:22know that we're going to have a couple of curves
- 23:24in the road, if you will, and some more bumps
- 23:28before we get to the end here, because there is
- 23:32so much more we do not know. For everything that
- 23:34we do know, there's a ton more that we don't know.
- 23:38And every day more becomes available, and as we get
- 23:41more document dumps and more things are unsealed, hopefully we'll
- 23:45get more information and the picture will become more clear.
- 23:51All right, everybody that's going to do it for tonight.
- 23:53I will be back tomorrow morning with a morning update.

- 24:20The link that we discussed, or the links I should say,
- 24:22can be found in the description box. What's up everyone,
- 24:26and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles. One of the
- 24:30key figures when we're talking about following the money and
- 24:35talking about how Epstein was able to manipulate the financial
- 24:38system has to be Jess Day. This is a man
- 24:44who was uniquely positioned to help Jeffrey Epstein along the way,
- 24:49and to not only help him, but to offer him
- 24:53other avenues to get rich on the IPOs that that
- 24:58he was offered, the grap hustle, the access to the
- 25:02other people as far as the wealth fund goes. All
- 25:07of this was made possible by Jess Staley, and for
- 25:11Jess Staley, the relationship with Epstein was huge having a
- 25:15guy like that as part of his portfolio, A guy
- 25:18like that that could bring other rich people within the fold.
- 25:23That's worth it's weight in gold to people like Jess Staley.
- 25:25And who cares if Jeffrey Epstein is a scumbag? Who
- 25:28cares if he's a convicted a human trafficker or a
- 25:32convicted sex offender at that point doesn't matter. And then
- 25:37for Jess Staley to leave the position he was in
- 25:42to only land over at Barclays is just beyond the
- 25:46pal And Barclays will say, well, we had no idea,
- 25:51and they knew they thought that this was all over
- 25:54and done with though they had no idea that Epstein
- 25:58was going to get arrested a second time and that
- 26:00the lid was going to get blown off of this
- 26:02thing once again. So they thought that they were in
- 26:05the clear. They thought they were never going to have
- 26:07to answer any questions about Jess Staley and his relationship
- 26:12with Epstein. They thought that it was never ever going
- 26:15to come back to haunt them. Well guess what fast
- 26:18forward to today and that is not a reality, is it?
- 26:23Because not only did it come back to bite them,
- 26:26they had to get rid of Jess Staley because there
- 26:29was no way that they were going to be able
- 26:30to navigate the waters that were coming up with Epstein
- 26:37and his stench dragging them all down. So see you later,
- 26:43Jess Staley and Barclays, they'll you know, wash their hands
- 26:48clean of it and they'll say, well, we did the
- 26:50right thing, we got rid of them, so you know,
- 26:52we have nothing to you know, to do with any
- 26:54of this. But in reality, how many money launderers are
- 26:58moving their money through Barclay? How many other people like
- 27:01Jeffrey Epstein were being helped by a guy like Jess Staley.
- 27:08My guess is, and I can't prove this, folks right,
- 27:11but my guess is a whole hell of a lot
- 27:13of them. And we know that the United States of America,
- 27:18we know that the UK London specifically are used as
- 27:24money washing spots and places to park this dark money.
- 27:28And guys like Jess Staley and you know, the folks
- 27:32that he rolls with, who would know how to manipulate
- 27:35those systems better? Tonight we have an article from the
- 27:40Evening Standard that's going to talk a little bit more
- 27:43about Jess Staley, and tomorrow we'll get to see what
- 27:48Barclay's paid Jess Day on the way out, and I'm
- 27:53sure it's a huge amount of money, right when it's
- 27:55a guy like Jess Staley we're talking about. You know,
- 27:57he's not walking out the door for free, but they
- 28:01definitely would be willing to pay him whatever to get
- 28:04that stink off of them, considering that they only got
- 28:08the preliminary results back from the investigation too, and they
- 28:13were able to get this amount of information just from
- 28:19the prelimbs that was disturbing enough for them to make
- 28:22this decision on just these basic preliminary findings. It has
- 28:27to be a pretty bad report overall. So Jess Staley
- 28:33is basically finished. You would think, right, there's not going
- 28:37to be another institution that wants to pick him up
- 28:40or do business with him or anything like that at
- 28:42this point. At least, I wouldn't think so, But who knows.
- 28:46In the financial sector, you would think after the first
- 28:49go around with Epstein, he wouldn't have landed on his
- 28:51feet at Barclays. But here we are. Like I said,
- 28:55this is an article from The Evening Standard and the
- 29:00author of this article is Simon English. Headline. Barclay's poised
- 29:06to reveal what it paid Jess Staley as he left
- 29:08over Epstein scandal. The bank annual report is due out
- 29:13tomorrow Wednesday. How much money did Barclays pay to Jess
- 29:18Staley as he exited the bank owing to some unpleasant
- 29:22business with disgraced financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Now
- 29:26that's definitely a huge question, and it'll be again it'll
- 29:29be an obscene amount when we find out the actual number.
- 29:32It'll be an amount where you say to yourself, must
- 29:36be nice, Must be nice to run around and be
- 29:38a scumbag and be rewarded for it. Imagine being so
- 29:42shitty at your job somebody was willing to give you
- 29:45millions and millions of dollars to kick rocks and leave.
- 29:50That's basically what's going on here with Jess Staley. Look, bro,
- 29:53you're such a pariah, you're such an embarrassment because of
- 29:57your behavior, because of your friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, that
- 30:00we're gonna give you this big, fat ass bag of
- 30:03dough and we want you to leave. The bank has
- 30:08results and an annual report out tomorrow, so we'll find
- 30:11out then, assuming it doesn't mysteriously leak before then, of course,
- 30:16And I haven't seen anything about the payout yet, so
- 30:20I'm guessing it hasn't leaked, but maybe it's out there somewhere. Again, Tomorrow,
- 30:26when we get those annuals, we'll have a better idea.
- 30:28But this guy is it's just absurd. The whole entire
- 30:31thing is absurd. Why a payoff? Well, I could be wrong,
- 30:38but the wording of the statement at the time strongly
- 30:41suggests that money will have changed hands. Of Course, again,
- 30:45this guy isn't walking out of the place and not
- 30:50getting any money. He's not walking out of this huge,
- 30:54gigantic job of his and not getting paid. It's just
- 30:59not that's not reality. Even when these guys do scumbag,
- 31:02disgusting activities with other scumbags, they're protected most times by
- 31:07the language in their contracts. And most of these guys,
- 31:11when you're talking about this level of executive they have
- 31:15golden parachutes even when they screw up, even when they
- 31:20act the fool. Barclays and Staley parted company last November
- 31:27after receiving the early conclusions of an investigation by the
- 31:31Financial Conduct Authority into how he had characterized his relationship
- 31:36with Epstein, and again if you're getting jettisoned for a
- 31:40fat bag a doe over the prelimbs in the report,
- 31:46you gotta think that that report is just atrocious and
- 31:50the things that that reports talking about are not gonna
- 31:53be a good look for Barclays and especially for Jess
- 31:58Staley himself. The watch dog thinks he didn't quite tell
- 32:01everything he should. In other words, Staley plans to fight
- 32:04the regulators. Oh, of course he does. Guys like this there,
- 32:12Hubris knows no bounds, Folks. He's not going to sit
- 32:14back and just let the regulators try and label him
- 32:17or put him in a box as one of Jeffrey
- 32:20Epstein's friends, even though he is, even though all of
- 32:24the evidence points that way. Barclay said at the time,
- 32:30in view of those conclusions and mister Staley's intention to
- 32:33contest them, the board and mister Staley have agreed that
- 32:37he will step down from his role as group chief
- 32:39executive and as a director of Barclay's. So basically, what
- 32:44they're saying is, you decided you wanted to fight these
- 32:47findings in the regulations. We're not standing besides you. We're
- 32:51not standing up and saying, hey, look, he has an
- 32:53argument here he has been wronged and they have access
- 32:57to all of this. They're the ones who initiated their
- 33:00own internal investigation as well. So for Jess Staley, it
- 33:05is definitely an Armageddon type situation for this dude as
- 33:09far as his career goes at Barclays anyway, It added
- 33:15the board is disappointed at this outcome. Mister Staley has
- 33:18run the Barclays group successfully since December twenty fifteen with
- 33:22real commitment and skill. Yeah, well before that, what was
- 33:25he doing? Oh that's right, helping Jeffrey Epstein pillage money
- 33:30and put money off shore stash money, look the other
- 33:33way when he knew what the source of Epstein's money is. Obviously,
- 33:37without a real investigation into all of this, you know,
- 33:40forensic accountants and the rest of it, we'll never get
- 33:43to the bottom of it. But how much more evidence
- 33:47do you need here? It's rather obvious what Jess Staley's
- 33:52operation was when it comes to hanging out with Epstein,
- 33:56what his purpose was. Staley has paid four million pounds
- 34:01in twenty twenty and nearer six million pounds in twenty nineteen,
- 34:06so the guy has already made a killing of a
- 34:08shit ton of money. Working for Barclays never should have
- 34:11had that job in the first place. But somehow people
- 34:15like this always seem to land on their feet, don't they.
- 34:18It's like the bad coaches in football, Like I always say,
- 34:22these retread football coaches. Somehow you have never had a
- 34:26winning season, but now all of a sudden, you're supposed
- 34:29to be a winning coach and you're going to be
- 34:31the guy that leads the team to victory. It's the
- 34:35same kind of nonsense here. Jess Staley, while a decent
- 34:38businessman obviously and good at what he does, I would
- 34:41guess that doesn't get rid of the baggage that he
- 34:45brings with them. And anybody who was paying attention to
- 34:48what's going on with Jeffrey Epstein and Staley's relationship with Epstein,
- 34:53it's rather obvious that these dudes were way close and
- 34:56that should have set off all kinds of alarm bells
- 34:59at bar Whether the amount paid is purely a contractual
- 35:05obligation or not, it is plainly going to attract headlines.
- 35:09If somehow the amount is zero, what does that say
- 35:12about what else is in the FCA investigation? And that's
- 35:16a big point too. If it's nothing and he doesn't
- 35:19get any money out of this, that would mean that
- 35:22there is something seriously egregious that has been found in
- 35:25this investigation. And if that's the case, boy, I'll tell
- 35:29you what, Jess, Staley is in for an even worse
- 35:33ride than I might have assumed, because if it's that
- 35:37bad and that egregious, the stuff that is found in
- 35:40this report, he will never ever work again. Now, obviously
- 35:44dude has more money than I'll ever know what to
- 35:46do with, but he'll never be able to facilitate these
- 35:50scumbags and ever again. And I look at that as
- 35:53a bit of a victory. At least. The Ft reported
- 35:58last year that Staley's change twelve hundred emails with Epstein
- 36:02over four years. Maybe this is just because Staley is
- 36:06a chatty, indeed likable guy. Eh negative, Okay, we know
- 36:10that's not the case. I mean, look, you want to
- 36:12give him the benefit of the doubt. And for somebody
- 36:14who doesn't follow the Epstein case, or who doesn't follow
- 36:18this whole entire situation, yeah, you could look at it
- 36:21as maybe them just being friends or acquaintances or whatever.
- 36:25But when you dig deeper and you see all of
- 36:29the different factors that went into their relationships, Staley going
- 36:35to the island to visit all of the rest of it.
- 36:37It's very hard for me to look at it and say, oh,
- 36:40this was just a purely business relationship. And even if
- 36:43it was, this dude was facilitating all kinds of shady
- 36:49ass money moves. Stop talking. Mate was one was sometimes
- 36:58inclined to think I thought I knew him. Plainly I
- 37:01did not, is what Staley said to me about Epstein
- 37:04at an earlier juncture. Look, guys like Epstein, you don't
- 37:08really ever know guys like Epstein. Okay, that's his idea
- 37:12is you're never going to get to know him. You're
- 37:14going to be used as a tool, manipulated and positioned
- 37:20in a place that's going to help Epstein with whatever
- 37:23his designs are. That he stayed in touch with after
- 37:36Epstein had a conviction for sex offenses doesn't say much
- 37:39for his judgment, though perhaps he is just, as he
- 37:43also once said, accident prone. Yeah, I guess that's it,
- 37:47you know, just an accident prone guy. I had no
- 37:50idea that I was hanging out with Epstein. I just
- 37:52happened to fall into this relationship, and I couldn't you know,
- 37:56extract myself from it. What the guy is another look,
- 38:02another buffoon, and I am not so much anymore. But
- 38:07I used to be so shocked that these people in
- 38:09these such powerful positions are such buffoons. The shame of
- 38:15it is he was very a very good chief executive.
- 38:18Profits tomorrow of perhaps eight billion pounds will speak to that.
- 38:22At investec Ian Gordon headed his latest note on Barclays
- 38:26harvesting Jess's rich legacy. Last night, Sky News reported that
- 38:32Barclays has frozen millions in share awards to Staley while
- 38:36the FCA probe continues. So he's not getting any of
- 38:39this dough as of right now. And even though he
- 38:42was at the helm and led them to some big gains,
- 38:45he's not going to reap any of those benefits, at
- 38:48least right now. Now. We don't know what's going to
- 38:51happen in the future. With the report and him challenging
- 38:54all of this. That can all change and he can
- 38:57walk away with a gigantic chunk of change, no doubt
- 39:00about it. But we'll have to see. So it may
- 39:06be that he gets a flat twelve months pay two
- 39:09and a half million pounds with the rest on hold
- 39:12he holds share is worth more than twenty million pounds. Plainly,
- 39:16Barclays would rather we focus on what it hasn't given Staley,
- 39:20at least yet, rather than what it has well. That
- 39:24goes without saying, Look, Barclays doesn't need the bad publicity.
- 39:29They don't need people like me talking about this. But
- 39:32unfortunately for them, they hired this idiot. They hired this
- 39:35boob and it wasn't like he didn't have the stench
- 39:39of Epstein hanging off of him. It wasn't like he was,
- 39:42you know, somebody who wasn't a known associate, a known
- 39:46enabler of Jeffrey Epstein when they hired him. Neither Barclays
- 39:54nor a representative for Jess Staley had any comment, and
- 39:58they definitely won't. That's not in their They're not in
- 40:02the business of giving comments out when their stories like
- 40:04this on the horizon or stories like this that are breaking,
- 40:08not really interested in speaking to the media. But that's
- 40:13where we're at with Jess Staley, folks, and this whole
- 40:16situation with his pay and how much is going to
- 40:18get froze, how much he's going to get very very
- 40:21interesting because it does give us a bit of a
- 40:24tell on what is in that report. If he comes
- 40:27away with this with nothing, that's definitely a huge sign
- 40:31that this report is going to be all bad for him. Now,
- 40:35I don't think that's going to happen. I'm pretty sure
- 40:37he's going to walk away with some money now, probably
- 40:40some some fuzzles frozen on the back end there, and
- 40:44eventually he'll be made whole, because these guys always get
- 40:47made hole in the end. But it's nice to see
- 40:50him sweating a little bit right now and at the
- 40:52very least having to answer for his enabling of Jeffrey Epstein,
- 40:56at least in this small little way. All right, folks,
- 41:01that's going to do it for tonight's update, Come in
- 41:05your way some context. Episodes end an episode about the
- 41:09situation in Ukraine right now, between Russia and Ukraine, so
- 41:16we have that on the way as well, and tomorrow
- 41:19right back at it, same old schedule, all right, folks.
