- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from Midtown Manhattan.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Here comes the Mark Simone Show on seven oar.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Well, it's Monday, it's spring outside. An early spring has
- 0:13Speaker 1: shown up. Daylight saving Simon light out till about seven o'clock,
- 0:17Speaker 1: first day of daylight saving time. A spectacular sunset last night.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Lots to get to today. The war is in day ten.
- 0:25Speaker 1: How much is this costing us? We'll get to that.
- 0:27Speaker 1: We'll get to oil prices. We'll get to a terrorist
- 0:31Speaker 1: attack attempted here in New York City. We'll get to
- 0:34Speaker 1: a crazy mom, Donnie. We'll get to his even his
- 0:41Speaker 1: wife's awful, awful social media history, and a whole lot
- 0:45Speaker 1: more coming up. So it is day ten of the war.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Democrats have no idea how to attack Trump on this.
- 0:52Speaker 1: They don't know what to do. They keep trying to
- 0:54Speaker 1: go after among this and it's driving them crazy on
- 1:00Speaker 1: just how to do that. So they're just trying anything
- 1:03Speaker 1: and everything. Yesterday was the Saturday was the Dignified Transfer
- 1:08Speaker 1: where they brought back the bodies of the six who
- 1:10Speaker 1: were killed in the Iranian War, and they came back
- 1:15Speaker 1: to Dover Air Force Base. The president there, you remember,
- 1:18Speaker 1: Joe Biden was just awful at a dignified transfer looking
- 1:22Speaker 1: at his watch, bored out of his mind, right in
- 1:24Speaker 1: front of the families of these fallen heroes. Right in
- 1:27Speaker 1: front of the families, he's looking at his watch as
- 1:30Speaker 1: if he wants to go. So they had to go
- 1:32Speaker 1: after President Trump somehow. They went after him for wearing
- 1:34Speaker 1: a hat. He's wearing a USA hat. And this was
- 1:39Speaker 1: the attack line for a day and a half. It
- 1:41Speaker 1: didn't stick. It's not working. How dare he wear a
- 1:44Speaker 1: campaign hat? Not a campaign hat. It's a hat that
- 1:47Speaker 1: says USA. It's not the red make America great, It's
- 1:52Speaker 1: a USA hat. And you're in that echo on there. Yeah,
- 1:56Speaker 1: what is that? I don't know what that is. I
- 2:00Speaker 1: don't know. I mean, yeah, somehow I'm echoing around let
- 2:03Speaker 1: me see. No, I think I don't know if it's
- 2:06Speaker 1: muting those speakers completely. I think it might be something
- 2:08Speaker 1: like that. So where was he's wearing the hat? But
- 2:13Speaker 1: if you check my Twitter, you'll see that half the
- 2:16Speaker 1: people there were wearing hats. The pall bearers were wearing hats.
- 2:19Speaker 1: There were military guys, but they're wearing berets. And behind
- 2:23Speaker 1: Trump you'll see a lot of people wearing hats. They're
- 2:25Speaker 1: military people. But there's no rule anywhere about take your
- 2:28Speaker 1: hat off. Otherwise the military people, the pall bearers would
- 2:32Speaker 1: have removed their hats. So that attack didn't work. Now
- 2:35Speaker 1: they're going to try to go after Trump on the
- 2:37Speaker 1: cost of the war. Hey you hear that echoing. Yeah,
- 2:41Speaker 1: so this will be that you'll hear this for a
- 2:45Speaker 1: couple of days. This is money that could be spent
- 2:47Speaker 1: at home. War costs about a billion dollars a day,
- 2:51Speaker 1: where at day ten it's going to be about ten
- 2:53Speaker 1: billion dollars by the end of the day. That's half
- 2:56Speaker 1: of the Somali fraud in Minnesota. Government waste billions of
- 3:00Speaker 1: dollars all the time, and this is not wasted. This
- 3:02Speaker 1: is going to buy us a lot of peace and
- 3:05Speaker 1: safety in the coming years. Yeah, here, definitely need more. Yeah,
- 3:14Speaker 1: it's like it's like I'm at it sounds like WABC
- 3:19Speaker 1: in the sixties with the echo, with the with the reverb.
- 3:22Speaker 1: So day ten of the war. But oil prices are up.
- 3:26Speaker 1: This is the other line of attack. You know, he said,
- 3:28Speaker 1: this is killing people. The oil prices with well oil
- 3:31Speaker 1: has hit one hundred dollars in some cases may be
- 3:34Speaker 1: going over one hundred dollars and that's not good. But
- 3:38Speaker 1: it's just a spike. We were talking about just a
- 3:40Speaker 1: couple of weeks of this, and all you got to
- 3:46Speaker 1: do is open the straits of her Moose, which will
- 3:48Speaker 1: happen pretty soon, probably in the next probably next week,
- 3:52Speaker 1: they'll get it open. The Iranians have threatened to go
- 3:55Speaker 1: after any oil tanker that tries to go through the
- 3:58Speaker 1: straits of her Moose until oil. Well, I don't know
- 4:01Speaker 1: what they're going to go after him with. They lost
- 4:02Speaker 1: their navy. They could try it with some speedboats with
- 4:07Speaker 1: some rifles, but that's not going to do much. Opening
- 4:09Speaker 1: the straits of Hormouse, they can do it when they
- 4:11Speaker 1: want to do it. They'll have a US Navy escort
- 4:13Speaker 1: ships through there. The real problem is not so much
- 4:16Speaker 1: the danger, it's the insurance. It's really Lloyd's of London
- 4:21Speaker 1: that's holding us up. That's who insures most of these tankers,
- 4:24Speaker 1: and they just don't want to move a tanker without
- 4:26Speaker 1: any insurance. Now. Also over the weekend, and Israel targeted
- 4:33Speaker 1: the airport, the main Iranian airport, took it out completely.
- 4:38Speaker 1: And he said, listen, I'm not an expert on this stuff,
- 4:41Speaker 1: but when eventually you want to evacuate a lot of people,
- 4:44Speaker 1: you might need that airport. But they know what they're doing,
- 4:46Speaker 1: so they took out the airport. They also took out
- 4:48Speaker 1: the Islamic Revolutionary Guard headquarters. You know, you got the
- 4:52Speaker 1: Iranian Army, then you got the Revolutionary Guard. These are
- 4:56Speaker 1: the really evil ones. These are Revolutionary Guard, created to
- 5:01Speaker 1: be above the army. Their main job is to protect
- 5:04Speaker 1: the borders and protect the government from the army in
- 5:08Speaker 1: case anything happens. But the Revolutionary Guard over the years
- 5:11Speaker 1: became the central hub for all the violence, the slaughter
- 5:15Speaker 1: of protesters, the real ugly stuff. So they're trying to
- 5:19Speaker 1: take out as many of them as they can. Now
- 5:23Speaker 1: apparently there's a little friction between the US and Israel.
- 5:27Speaker 1: We're upset with Israel because they struck an Iranian oil
- 5:31Speaker 1: storage site, causing massive fireballs into the sky that cause
- 5:36Speaker 1: black rain water saturated with oil, cover rooftops, cover streets,
- 5:41Speaker 1: screw up the air quality. This could cause a lot
- 5:44Speaker 1: of illness and problems there. So there it goes. That's
- 5:53Speaker 1: a real hum there. So it was Israel that did
- 5:57Speaker 1: that bombing. Now apparently apparently the US is mad at Israel.
- 6:02Speaker 1: There's a little bit of a fight there, but they'll
- 6:04Speaker 1: get it straightened out. So let's get to mayor a
- 6:07Speaker 1: mom Donnie who was totally bungled, mishandled, completely screwed up.
- 6:14Speaker 1: What happened this weekend? There was an attempted terrorist attack
- 6:17Speaker 1: right outside Gracie Mansion just down the street. You had
- 6:22Speaker 1: a couple of nut job right wing types, a couple
- 6:25Speaker 1: of January sixth but real wacko fringe right wing nuts
- 6:31Speaker 1: who showed up and go to this mic. I can't
- 6:35Speaker 1: get it over here. But hang on a second. Let
- 6:41Speaker 1: me see. Hey, you know what if I talk over here,
- 6:45Speaker 1: I'm fine. I just moved this mic over here. Now
- 6:48Speaker 1: what could that be we're trying with. There's all kinds
- 6:50Speaker 1: of engineers here in the control room. Let me disconnect
- 6:53Speaker 1: this speaker here and shut it off and see if
- 6:56Speaker 1: that has anything to do with it. Yeah, I think
- 6:58Speaker 1: that's part of the problem. Might hang on, Hang on,
- 7:01Speaker 1: we shut off this speaker. That's it. You see, that
- 7:05Speaker 1: fixed the problem. I just shut off the speakers here. Well,
- 7:08Speaker 1: you give me the thumbs up, But now you got
- 7:10Speaker 1: to figure out why if I opened the mic, wasn't
- 7:14Speaker 1: muting those speakers that's where the problem is. When I
- 7:17Speaker 1: opened the mic, it didn't mute any of these speakers.
- 7:19Speaker 1: So if we can figure it, we'll figure the whole
- 7:23Speaker 1: thing out. So yeah, oil prices will spike up over
- 7:27Speaker 1: one hundred bucks, but it's just gonna be weeks, and
- 7:29Speaker 1: they'll at some point, probably later in the week next week,
- 7:34Speaker 1: they'll have a tanker come through the straits of her Mouse.
- 7:36Speaker 1: It'll have a naval escort. And if they can't get
- 7:39Speaker 1: the insurance that Lloyd's of London has canceled the insurance,
- 7:42Speaker 1: the US government will provide the insurance. Once a tanker
- 7:45Speaker 1: moves through, and then another tanker comes through, oil prices
- 7:48Speaker 1: will immediately plunge. Stock market will come way back up.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Getting back to Mom, Donnie, So this Mom Donnie again.
- 7:58Speaker 1: You got crazy right wing nut jobs, a couple of them,
- 8:02Speaker 1: and then you got these left wing wacko But these
- 8:05Speaker 1: were really terrorist types. Isis inspired terrorists with IEDs. Remember
- 8:10Speaker 1: those from Iraq, those bombs that were and they used
- 8:14Speaker 1: all sorts of chemicals that isis uses. This is real
- 8:17Speaker 1: isis train. Luckily, the heroes of the NYPD somehow tackled
- 8:21Speaker 1: these guys and stopped them. If those bombs had gone off.
- 8:26Speaker 1: You had seen some major, major, major damage and death
- 8:31Speaker 1: in that neighborhood. So they stopped them. It's over. Now
- 8:34Speaker 1: here's the problem. You got these horrible Isis terrorists types
- 8:38Speaker 1: that were here. If it's if it goes to Alvin Bragg,
- 8:42Speaker 1: if you leave it up to Mom Donnie and Alvin Bragg,
- 8:44Speaker 1: these guys will be released with a desk appearance ticket.
- 8:47Speaker 1: You know, as soon as Alvin Bragg finds out they
- 8:49Speaker 1: were anti Israel, anti Semitic terrorists, you think he's gonna
- 8:53Speaker 1: come down now. Now, the good news is it looks
- 8:57Speaker 1: like the Feds will take the case. It looks like
- 8:59Speaker 1: they'll charged federally, which means it goes to the US
- 9:03Speaker 1: Attorney Southern District. That's Jay Clayton, who's a great US attorney,
- 9:07Speaker 1: And it looks like they'll handle the case and then
- 9:10Speaker 1: these guys will end up in prison for a long
- 9:13Speaker 1: long time. Police Commissioner Jessica Tish, apparently it's a little
- 9:17Speaker 1: friction here. She quickly held a press compage. You gotta
- 9:21Speaker 1: have a press compage. You got to explain to the
- 9:22Speaker 1: public what's going on. Apparently Mom Donnie not happy about that.
- 9:26Speaker 1: So he held one today, But this is the police commissioner.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Yesterday, a counter protester identified as a mere Ballat, an
- 9:34Speaker 3: eighteen year old man lit and threw an ignited device
- 9:39Speaker 3: toward the protest area, landing in the crosswalk of East
- 9:43Speaker 3: eighty seventh Street and East End Avenue. Witnesses reported seeing
- 9:49Speaker 3: flames and smoke as it traveled through the air before
- 9:53Speaker 3: it struck a barrier and extinguished itself a few feet
- 9:56Speaker 3: from police officers. Mister then ran southbound on East End
- 10:02Speaker 3: Avenue toward eighty sixth Street and gets a second device
- 10:06Speaker 3: from a man tentatively id'd as Ibrahim Nick, nineteen years old.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Mister ballot lights the device and starts running with it.
- 10:17Speaker 3: He then drops the device on the west side of
- 10:19Speaker 3: East End Avenue between East eighty six and East eighty
- 10:23Speaker 3: seventh Streets. Officers immediately secured the area and they took
- 10:28Speaker 3: both men into custody.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Well, I don't know what the mayor was so upset about.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Pretty much a standard police commissioner press cormentge. You got
- 10:36Speaker 1: a horrible incident like this, you got to tell the
- 10:38Speaker 1: public exactly what happened and exactly what the status is
- 10:42Speaker 1: of everything. So that's what she's supposed to do. The
- 10:45Speaker 1: mayor did his own press conference today. You know, here's
- 10:48Speaker 1: the You got a lot of problems with this mayor.
- 10:51Speaker 1: But the other one is no experience at all. No experience.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Great campaigning, puts on the big smile, talks real fast
- 10:58Speaker 1: and sounds like he knows what he's talking about. But
- 11:00Speaker 1: when it comes to police work, when it comes to
- 11:02Speaker 1: running government, when it comes to actually managing anything, no
- 11:05Speaker 1: experience doesn't know what he's doing. A lot of flack
- 11:08Speaker 1: over his crazy wife. I think I can say crazy
- 11:11Speaker 1: now because if you saw on Twitter a posts about
- 11:15Speaker 1: the October seventh Holocaust that took place in Israel, the
- 11:19Speaker 1: ugliest bloodiest attack, the most anti Semitic, vicious, vile attack
- 11:24Speaker 1: on October seventh, where people were raped, babies were killed,
- 11:28Speaker 1: and slaught I mean pictures of that. Could you put
- 11:32Speaker 1: a like on that? Could you click like on a
- 11:34Speaker 1: tweet like that? Well, missus Mom Donnie apparently clicked like
- 11:38Speaker 1: on a few of those kind of things. In fact,
- 11:41Speaker 1: they're finding more and more of that. I mean, that's
- 11:44Speaker 1: as sick as you can get. There's nothing sicker than
- 11:47Speaker 1: clicking like on October seventh and the slaughter that took place.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I mean, it was basically another Holocaust. It's like it's
- 11:55Speaker 1: like Hitler posting about the Holocaust and Auschwitz and you're
- 11:59Speaker 1: clicking like, I mean, that's basically what missus mom Donnie did. Horrible,
- 12:03Speaker 1: absolutely horrible. So he was asked about it.
- 12:08Speaker 2: I'd like to know what your reaction was to the
- 12:11Speaker 2: article in the Jewish Insider that was posted about your
- 12:14Speaker 2: wife's social media activity. And what I'm wondering is you know,
- 12:19Speaker 2: you're an elected official, she is not. Is it anybody's business?
- 12:24Speaker 2: And is it fair to question you about it?
- 12:28Speaker 4: You know, my wife is the love of my life,
- 12:31Speaker 4: and she's also a private person who has held no
- 12:34Speaker 4: formal position on my campaign or in my city hall. I, however,
- 12:39Speaker 4: was elected to represent all eight and a half million
- 12:41Speaker 4: people in the city, and I believe that it's my responsibility,
- 12:44Speaker 4: because of that role, to answer any questions about my
- 12:46Speaker 4: thoughts and my policies and my decisions.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Now he always does that. He talks fast like that,
- 12:50Speaker 1: and he sounds like ry blah blah blah. He knows meantime,
- 12:52Speaker 1: what was the answer? She had no formal role in
- 12:55Speaker 1: the campaign, She doesn't work any what does that have
- 12:57Speaker 1: to do with anything. Your wife is clicking like on
- 13:00Speaker 1: the October seventh Holocaust. Its disgusting. May she may have
- 13:04Speaker 1: no role in the campaign, but she lives with you
- 13:06Speaker 1: and is talking into your ear all day and night.
- 13:08Speaker 1: You got to have an answer for this. You still
- 13:10Speaker 1: have to explain why she would like something like that,
- 13:12Speaker 1: what is it? And she has to come forward and
- 13:15Speaker 1: explain it.
- 13:15Speaker 4: My wife is the love of my life, and she's
- 13:18Speaker 4: also a private person who has held no formal position
- 13:22Speaker 4: on my campaign or in my city hall. I, however,
- 13:25Speaker 4: was elected to represent all eight and a half million
- 13:28Speaker 4: people in the city, and I believe that it's my responsibility,
- 13:31Speaker 4: because of that role, to answer any questions about my
- 13:33Speaker 4: thoughts and my policies and my decisions.
- 13:35Speaker 1: So of course the first thought, well of his wife
- 13:37Speaker 1: feels like that, he must feel like that. Well, yeah,
- 13:39Speaker 1: remember let's go back to twenty twenty three when he's
- 13:42Speaker 1: in the street yelling that kind of stuff against Israel.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Who is right for? Who is right? For the end
- 13:51Speaker 1: of a part time.
- 13:54Speaker 4: The support for the Israeli government is something that has
- 13:57Speaker 4: developed from the first moment that someone even thinks about
- 14:00Speaker 4: politics in this country. We have to combat it at
- 14:03Speaker 4: the same level.
- 14:04Speaker 1: It's not on all time, not on or dome, not
- 14:12Speaker 1: on or done. That was the real Mom Donnie, Mom
- 14:19Speaker 1: Donnie a couple of years ago in Mom Donnie Today, Well,
- 14:22Speaker 1: my wor was Jakol and Hyde now and he was
- 14:27Speaker 1: yelling there about Israel apartheid. Whenever you hear Israel apartheid,
- 14:31Speaker 1: that is the most anti Semitic trope you could ever hear.
- 14:34Speaker 1: That's then you know you're dealing with a real anti
- 14:36Speaker 1: semi It's bad, bad stuff.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Uh.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Anyway, we got a lot to get to we'll get
- 14:42Speaker 1: back to that. Oh, Michael Goodwin will be with us.
- 14:44Speaker 1: He's been a little under the weather lately. He missed
- 14:46Speaker 1: a few weeks, but Michael Goodwin is back. We'll talk
- 14:49Speaker 1: to him later this hour. We'll take some calls in
- 14:52Speaker 1: a minute. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten
