- 0:30Speaker 2: Shot Town. This is your first time on the show, right.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Shot townresenting? This my first time? What's up with that?
- 0:37Speaker 2: Well, look now that you now that you came on here,
- 0:39Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying, you can be a frequent guest,
- 0:41Speaker 2: your friend at the show.
- 0:43Speaker 3: I would love to have a lot of things to
- 0:44Speaker 3: talk about.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Okay, Well, first and foremost, first of all, you're dope.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Oh my god, thank you.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Let's can we start from the beginning. Yeah, okay, what
- 0:55Speaker 2: made you want to get into acting?
- 0:58Speaker 3: Hm? Hmm, maybe you want to?
- 1:00Speaker 1: It was kind of like it was kind of like
- 1:02Speaker 1: a Nate you know, like I used to take.
- 1:05Speaker 3: When they had VHS.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I was like videotaping myself doing like monologues and
- 1:11Speaker 1: doing different things on camera. So like I was videotaping
- 1:14Speaker 1: over weddings, family reunions, getting in trouble. As a kid,
- 1:17Speaker 1: it's like, okay, we need to like maybe pay attention
- 1:19Speaker 1: to this. So I'm from Chicago. We are very heavy
- 1:22Speaker 1: in theater. So I did the whole theater stuff, you know, plays,
- 1:26Speaker 1: school plays, and it was just like something I was
- 1:28Speaker 1: drawn to, you know. So it wasn't until I was
- 1:31Speaker 1: eight years old auditioned for a movie that I booked,
- 1:35Speaker 1: and then it was well, y'all don't go look this
- 1:38Speaker 1: up now because it's kind of embarrassing.
- 1:40Speaker 3: But it was for Fox. It was called Divas. Just
- 1:43Speaker 3: leave that there.
- 1:44Speaker 1: But Ni Corey, like I thought I would, I look back,
- 1:49Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, what what is this? But
- 1:52Speaker 1: it was like I'm here, I'm doing something I love
- 1:55Speaker 1: and I'm getting a check from it.
- 1:56Speaker 3: And I think that's when it clicked.
- 1:57Speaker 2: How old were you? I was eight, Okay, said this
- 2:00Speaker 2: is what.
- 2:00Speaker 1: I this is what I want to do, this is
- 2:01Speaker 1: what I'm meant to do. That's how it like clicked
- 2:03Speaker 1: for me.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Did your family push you to start getting into acting?
- 2:06Speaker 1: So my sister Allison, she was a writer on Amen
- 2:09Speaker 1: Rock Martin and she was the one living in la
- 2:14Speaker 1: like you know, since she's doing all these things or
- 2:15Speaker 1: having a desire, let's put her in some acting classes.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Let's you know, take it seriously, and this is how
- 2:20Speaker 1: you can make it, you know, constructive for her. So
- 2:23Speaker 1: getting a resume, headshots agent, I wouldn't have known that,
- 2:26Speaker 1: you know, my mom wouldn't have known that. So having
- 2:27Speaker 1: her was definitely a guide, and it helped to say,
- 2:30Speaker 1: step by step, this is how you know you have
- 2:32Speaker 1: to do it if you really want to do it
- 2:33Speaker 1: for real. So we did it, and yeah, by age eight,
- 2:36Speaker 1: I was like working.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Don't stop peaking, going Now, what's what's the the big
- 2:42Speaker 2: thing that happens earlier on that make you say, oh,
- 2:46Speaker 2: I'm here, I've arrived.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Oh you know, I really don't. It's crazy. I don't
- 2:50Speaker 3: feel like I've arrived yet. Really, I really don't.
- 2:52Speaker 1: It's like for me, I have so many more things
- 2:55Speaker 1: I want to accomplish, so I appreciate the journey. I
- 2:58Speaker 1: think sometimes I have to reflect back, like, wow, you
- 3:01Speaker 1: know I did graduate high school early on a roll
- 3:04Speaker 1: straight a's okay, saw me and daddy, you know, make
- 3:08Speaker 1: them proud so that I could go to LA to
- 3:10Speaker 1: pursue it.
- 3:11Speaker 3: And that's what I did.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I was fresh out of high school in LA trying
- 3:14Speaker 1: to figure it out, slapping my car, did the whole
- 3:18Speaker 1: you know, figuring it out, doing background work.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Fun fact, I was a background dancer and ushers.
- 3:23Speaker 1: You don't have to call video, you don't have to
- 3:25Speaker 1: call you miss me, so you would never know.
- 3:29Speaker 3: But I was there. I was there.
- 3:30Speaker 1: But those type of experiences taught me like what it's
- 3:34Speaker 1: like to be on set, you know, watching the director,
- 3:36Speaker 1: watching how things happened.
- 3:38Speaker 3: That was like my school.
- 3:39Speaker 1: So it was just a matter of time before I
- 3:42Speaker 1: booked Never Die Along, which was my first movie with DMX.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Right, okay, so stop do you felt Do you feel
- 3:47Speaker 2: like that that was necessary for you to appreciate when
- 3:51Speaker 2: you got the first big gig the DMX. Absolutely, because
- 3:56Speaker 2: the sleeping in the car, the you know, we eating
- 4:00Speaker 2: Raymon noodles and stuff like that too.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I was actually one of my friends who's like really
- 4:04Speaker 1: successful actor now. We used to go to McDonald's and
- 4:07Speaker 1: like be like all put our money there, like we
- 4:09Speaker 1: can get a meal and we can.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Split it, eat it real slow and we gonna be
- 4:13Speaker 3: all right. It was like that Taco bell, you know,
- 4:15Speaker 3: all the specials.
- 4:16Speaker 1: I took advantage of all those specials, Like you had
- 4:18Speaker 1: to be creative to figure out how to survive because
- 4:21Speaker 1: it's very expensive, you know, to live in LA and
- 4:24Speaker 1: then you're entering into an industry that you can't really
- 4:27Speaker 1: like prepare for.
- 4:28Speaker 3: You gotta live it and see it and learn it.
- 4:31Speaker 1: And being I was a teenager at the time away
- 4:33Speaker 1: from my family, I'm seeing stuff that I'm like, WHOA, unbelievable.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Where's your sister? My sister now is at this particular moment, at.
- 4:42Speaker 1: This particular moment when I graduated, she was living in
- 4:45Speaker 1: LA First, when I moved to LA she had met
- 4:48Speaker 1: an NBA player.
- 4:48Speaker 3: And got married, and so she was back in Chicago
- 4:52Speaker 3: played for the Bulls.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Yeah, so she was like that ain't no point in
- 4:55Speaker 2: me working no more.
- 4:55Speaker 1: She was like, I'm married now, but she's like, I'm
- 4:58Speaker 1: still here. You know, she's still to this day in
- 5:00Speaker 1: my life. She's on my team and just my big
- 5:03Speaker 1: sister that you know we kind of see our dreams through.
- 5:05Speaker 1: But yees, she at this point she had a baby,
- 5:07Speaker 1: raising her family back.
- 5:08Speaker 4: And yeah, right, what's some of the big challenges about
- 5:13Speaker 4: you know, getting into the film and industry that a
- 5:15Speaker 4: lot of people don't understand yo.
- 5:18Speaker 1: It's like it's so many no's, it's more knows than
- 5:23Speaker 1: yes is. It's like you wait for the yes because
- 5:26Speaker 1: that yes is what changes your life. So you get
- 5:28Speaker 1: into it thinking, Okay, I'm around these people, I'm in
- 5:31Speaker 1: these rooms. But then it's like I didn't get that
- 5:34Speaker 1: job and it was I think a year almost two
- 5:37Speaker 1: years before actually booked my first job, and that can
- 5:38Speaker 1: get discouraging.
- 5:39Speaker 3: So it's like, am I meant to do this?
- 5:41Speaker 1: But it's like no after no, after no after no,
- 5:44Speaker 1: And then you get that yes and you're like, wow, okay,
- 5:47Speaker 1: it's the opportunity now.
- 5:48Speaker 3: So and then you still get nose.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Even for me, I'm like I'm decades in now and
- 5:53Speaker 1: I still get it. I'm like I thought it was gonna,
- 5:54Speaker 1: you know, be up from here. But I think that's
- 5:57Speaker 1: the beauty of the journey because you can never get
- 5:58Speaker 1: too comfortable as an actor. You can't really say Okay,
- 6:02Speaker 1: this is forever, or you can't guarantee your next job.
- 6:04Speaker 1: You know, you really have to wait for it, and
- 6:07Speaker 1: so you have to be smart. You have to save
- 6:08Speaker 1: your money, you have to continue to work, you have
- 6:10Speaker 1: to open up other avenues which is so amazing that
- 6:12Speaker 1: we have different outlets, you know, and that's why I'm
- 6:14Speaker 1: also music acting.
- 6:16Speaker 3: You know. It's like it's no boundaries, you know.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Thank you for saying that, because I was gonna that's
- 6:21Speaker 2: gonna be my next question, making money, saving money, preparing
- 6:25Speaker 2: for you know, moments where it's not going to be
- 6:28Speaker 2: any gigs when you want them to come. Did you
- 6:32Speaker 2: have to figure that out on your own or did
- 6:34Speaker 2: someone try to warn you and then you'd be like, yeah,
- 6:36Speaker 2: I'll be all right, I'm good, Or how did that
- 6:38Speaker 2: work out?
- 6:39Speaker 3: Like account is in the negative? How this happened? Oh
- 6:42Speaker 3: oh my god? What am I going to do?
- 6:44Speaker 2: You know?
- 6:44Speaker 1: It was literally me having to learn, like make every
- 6:48Speaker 1: mistake to grow from that. So I always tell people
- 6:52Speaker 1: like if I can help you, you know, and I
- 6:53Speaker 1: love giving back, you know, the young girls. I'm like,
- 6:55Speaker 1: let me help you because I literally went through everything.
- 6:58Speaker 3: I can tell you what not to do with.
- 7:00Speaker 1: This point, but I can say that it's shaped me,
- 7:03Speaker 1: it helped me, it grew me, and now I'm a
- 7:05Speaker 1: lot smart, Like I'm so risk adverse, like I save,
- 7:08Speaker 1: I saved. I'm I'm not spending money on that, you know,
- 7:10Speaker 1: because it's just not guaranteed, but I do, you know,
- 7:15Speaker 1: appreciate the opportunity now to get more into producing and
- 7:18Speaker 1: directing and just really opening up outlets for other people.
- 7:20Speaker 1: So that's kind of the beauty. And when you are
- 7:23Speaker 1: up against the wall, I think COVID taught like the
- 7:24Speaker 1: whole world that, you know what I mean, Like we
- 7:27Speaker 1: got to create our own tell our stories. And that's
- 7:30Speaker 1: just the season I'm in right now.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Well, got a segment of the show. It's called do
- 7:36Speaker 2: you Like Me? Okay, this is the part where you
- 7:38Speaker 2: look at that camera and you shot at your crush.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Do you have a crush? It's somebody crushing on you.
- 7:43Speaker 2: You want to shot them out. This is the this
- 7:44Speaker 2: is the moment that if you have it crush, you
- 7:46Speaker 2: shot out that significant person, him, her or them, however
- 7:49Speaker 2: they classify themselves.
- 7:51Speaker 3: I think y'all all know my crush is us h
- 7:54Speaker 3: g R.
- 7:57Speaker 1: That's my god, that's my man in my head usher,
- 8:00Speaker 1: I mean childhood crush.
- 8:01Speaker 2: So wait, you know we've had us on the show.
- 8:03Speaker 2: He watches the show, So if he sees you, if
- 8:06Speaker 2: you watches this episode, what would you tell him right now?
- 8:09Speaker 3: I would say I loved that cherry. Oh, oh my god,
- 8:16Speaker 3: is it hot in here?
- 8:18Speaker 2: What else? Right?
- 8:20Speaker 4: Now?
- 8:22Speaker 3: We're right there.
- 8:24Speaker 1: That's boy too, by the way, Oh my gosh, dog.
- 8:30Speaker 3: Listen.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Yeah, that's like I mean, I was that girl that
- 8:32Speaker 1: had like the usher posters on her wall. Actually had
- 8:35Speaker 1: the opportunity to sing for him. I was like thirteen.
- 8:38Speaker 1: He was in Chicago filming lighted up and he was
- 8:42Speaker 1: at a basketball game, and so after the game was over,
- 8:44Speaker 1: they set it up for me to sing for him,
- 8:47Speaker 1: and he looked at me.
- 8:48Speaker 3: I was so nervous. I was so nervous. I'm like,
- 8:51Speaker 3: this is like, I love him.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I hit every sharp and flat no at the same time,
- 8:56Speaker 1: and he was like, all right, you love to sing
- 8:58Speaker 1: him like.
- 8:59Speaker 3: I too love to sing. He's like, do you go
- 9:01Speaker 3: to church. I'm like, yeah, I go to church.
- 9:02Speaker 1: He was like, you know, it's important to go back
- 9:04Speaker 1: to church, get in the choir, and continue to work
- 9:07Speaker 1: on your craft. And I was like all right, and
- 9:09Speaker 1: then that was it, and I was like what just happened?
- 9:11Speaker 1: But I did take his advice. I went, I got
- 9:13Speaker 1: in the choir, you know, and that's like my training literally,
- 9:16Speaker 1: So I took that advice, and you know, no putting
- 9:20Speaker 1: out the album. So I like to think he helped
- 9:22Speaker 1: me along my journey as well. But yeah, like he's
- 9:26Speaker 1: a dope artist. Think you know longevity.
- 9:28Speaker 2: So okay, well, now of the mushy stuff is out
- 9:32Speaker 2: the way, It's time on. You got me fucked up?
- 9:35Speaker 4: Now?
- 9:36Speaker 2: What are some things that get on your damn nerves?
- 9:38Speaker 2: It could be now on a person place or a
- 9:39Speaker 2: thing that got you fucked up. It could be traffic, FaceTime. Yeah,
- 9:48Speaker 2: people that owe you money that you've fucked up. What's
- 9:50Speaker 2: something that just grind your gears?
- 9:52Speaker 3: My strange husband some to the X.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Oh can we unpack it? Friend? Or is that is
- 9:59Speaker 2: that you gonna give us?
- 10:00Speaker 3: I'm going through a divorce, so that's just what it is.
- 10:03Speaker 2: You got you fucked up?
- 10:04Speaker 3: This is going on two years.
- 10:06Speaker 4: Why does divorces take so long?
- 10:08Speaker 2: Not mine?
- 10:09Speaker 3: Who's I'm like, what advice.
- 10:15Speaker 2: On top of my wife Tiian? But I do I
- 10:20Speaker 2: do wonder? Yeah, one time for my wife Tnian happened
- 10:24Speaker 2: to I was just planning. I was just saying, uh,
- 10:26Speaker 2: you know, if you had assets, you have to divide
- 10:28Speaker 2: them and all that stuff, right, So.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I'm learning, like, you know, you you fall in love
- 10:32Speaker 1: it's all the beauty. It's like the kisses and you
- 10:34Speaker 1: build a family and then you go through something like
- 10:36Speaker 1: this and it becomes complete business. It's like paperwork, negotiations, division.
- 10:42Speaker 2: You have to accept it or not. I don't accept that. Well,
- 10:45Speaker 2: you have mediation, all types of you go.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Again and gets continued.
- 10:49Speaker 2: You got to schedule your schedules. Crazy. His schedule might
- 10:52Speaker 2: be all over the place, all the way down to
- 10:55Speaker 2: the dog you guys, pets and stuff like that.
- 10:57Speaker 1: It's down to the recliner chair to listen.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Who gets that?
- 11:03Speaker 2: So you have to say who gets Yes, you have
- 11:05Speaker 2: to agree on it, an agreement yes. So that shit
- 11:12Speaker 2: got you fucked up.
- 11:15Speaker 1: And this when I'm like take it all Like, you
- 11:17Speaker 1: get to that point too where you're like I don't
- 11:19Speaker 1: want to fight, you know, and you really learn like
- 11:22Speaker 1: these things don't matter, you know, because the headache or
- 11:25Speaker 1: just give it up and I'll get it back.
- 11:27Speaker 4: Some people be petty too.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Some people just gets petty when it's when the emotions
- 11:32Speaker 2: and the love is gone and people don't care and
- 11:36Speaker 2: it's fucked up. I always feel like that shouldn't be
- 11:39Speaker 2: It shouldn't be like that, because you know you were
- 11:41Speaker 2: once in love with that person, So let's just keep
- 11:43Speaker 2: it as amicable as possible, exactly. But when it's not
- 11:47Speaker 2: like that, it's it could be evil. It becomes yes,
- 11:50Speaker 2: which leads me to our next segment. It's called the
- 11:54Speaker 2: mental health checking. Yeah. Man, so we're big mental health advocates.
- 12:00Speaker 2: You know, I got I got a wife, two baby, moments,
- 12:03Speaker 2: five kids. Uh so I go to therapy. It's important.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Essential what I'm saying, it's essential, and I do things
- 12:11Speaker 2: where I set boundaries in my life. That's one time
- 12:15Speaker 2: for my little bro right here. He I feel like
- 12:18Speaker 2: I've introduced him into the mental health work space where
- 12:21Speaker 2: you have to decompress at the end of the day.
- 12:24Speaker 2: You can't run the whole day. You're running the whole day.
- 12:28Speaker 2: That sh it is terrible for your mental health. You
- 12:31Speaker 2: gotta turn it off. So when Drew's having a moment,
- 12:35Speaker 2: because I learned from Money Long, you can't say someone's
- 12:37Speaker 2: having a bad day. Some people may have moments, they
- 12:39Speaker 2: don't bad days. So if you're having a moment, or
- 12:43Speaker 2: if you call it a bad day, what do you do?
- 12:45Speaker 2: Do you talk to somebody and are you in therapy?
- 12:48Speaker 1: I definitely, you know, love the conversation you a little
- 12:51Speaker 1: close to the microphone me because we got to hear this.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I call it mental health mishaps, you know, because it's
- 12:58Speaker 1: just like you said, it's a moment and you mess up.
- 13:01Speaker 1: You know, it's a oops, it's a okay. And I
- 13:03Speaker 1: think we all have a certain level of mental health.
- 13:05Speaker 1: That's why it's so for for us to.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Take care of it.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Like we work out our bodies, you know, but we
- 13:10Speaker 1: have to work out our brain because you can't see it.
- 13:12Speaker 3: So I actually had a brain scan. Shout out to
- 13:15Speaker 3: the aim and Clinic.
- 13:15Speaker 1: They did a brain scan because I wanted to know
- 13:18Speaker 1: like the trauma and what to do about it. So yeah,
- 13:22Speaker 1: they work with like football players, you know, bac concussions
- 13:25Speaker 1: and things of that nature. But I found out, you know,
- 13:27Speaker 1: everything about my brain and the therapy that I specifically need.
- 13:32Speaker 1: So when you talk about a therapist, like my therapist
- 13:34Speaker 1: has it and he's like, this is what we need
- 13:35Speaker 1: to talk about, you know specifically, And I think that's important.
- 13:38Speaker 1: I think we have to normalize the conversation because we
- 13:40Speaker 1: see so many people that appear to be normal, and
- 13:43Speaker 1: we have to eliminate that because then you're surprised when
- 13:46Speaker 1: they're no longer they take their life or you know,
- 13:48Speaker 1: they fall, you know, to addictions.
- 13:50Speaker 3: So it's like, let's talk about it as.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Actually our community more than ever because we used to say,
- 13:55Speaker 1: oh they crazy, Oh they crazy. No, you know, now
- 13:58Speaker 1: I'm like, you know they say like the old the
- 14:00Speaker 1: elderly would be like, oh they see now, well my
- 14:02Speaker 1: dad had Alzheimer's. It's like that is actual diagnosis that
- 14:05Speaker 1: requires like medical attention. So, you know, I think it's
- 14:08Speaker 1: really important for me. I pray a lot. You know,
- 14:11Speaker 1: I'm God fearing. I have a very strong mother that
- 14:13Speaker 1: instilled that in me, and also therapy, therapy and really
- 14:17Speaker 1: taking care of myself holistically, because you can't take care
- 14:20Speaker 1: of one body function without taking care of the others.
- 14:22Speaker 1: So physically finding time to take care of myself, mentally, emotionally,
- 14:26Speaker 1: you know, spiritually, all of that I think goes together.
- 14:29Speaker 1: So that's important. So well, I had to go through everything,
- 14:34Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, where you're completely broken, you like, Okay,
- 14:36Speaker 1: how do I.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Put this back together? And literally this has been the
- 14:39Speaker 3: journey for the last two years.
- 14:40Speaker 1: You know that I have to do and I have kids,
- 14:42Speaker 1: so it's important for them to see me as healthy
- 14:45Speaker 1: as possible too.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Because being a mom is a lot, a lot, a lot.
- 14:50Speaker 2: I don't think moms get enough credit. My wife. My
- 14:53Speaker 2: wife put me through the She put me through it
- 14:57Speaker 2: on this in a positive way. Most recent baby, she
- 15:01Speaker 2: was like, look, you will have a baby because I asked.
- 15:03Speaker 2: I actually asked her to have this last recent baby,
- 15:05Speaker 2: she's on one years old. She was like, look, you
- 15:08Speaker 2: gonna be there all the time. He'd be laughing at me.
- 15:11Speaker 2: I'm like, bro, I'm changing diapers right now. Bro, Because
- 15:14Speaker 2: she put it on me and I kept saying, yo,
- 15:17Speaker 2: I don I don't have one if it was like
- 15:20Speaker 2: all this, so I say that to same. I didn't know.
- 15:23Speaker 2: I was ignorant to the fact of how much it
- 15:26Speaker 2: takes to raise a child, let alone multiple ones. This
- 15:30Speaker 2: is me at forty one admitting that. Damn. I'm over
- 15:34Speaker 2: here thinking, oh, yeah, she got it. She good listen.
- 15:38Speaker 2: And therapy has also encouraged me to be transparent. Ooh,
- 15:43Speaker 2: so I did again. I'm healing shit that I dealt
- 15:47Speaker 2: with fifteen twenty years ago. But I can talk about
- 15:52Speaker 2: it now because I'm over here because I had to
- 15:54Speaker 2: admit it. I tell you. I'm a re I'm a
- 15:57Speaker 2: reg this guy. See me in my worst and Mama drama.
- 16:01Speaker 2: She was all over I'm drinking, I'm smoking and alcohol
- 16:06Speaker 2: at the same time. I'm leaving. I'm looking for the
- 16:09Speaker 2: I'm looking for the I'm looking for everything. I'm over here.
- 16:12Speaker 2: I don't even go out unless it's a highly paid situation. Anyway.
- 16:17Speaker 3: I say that because you're fulfilled.
- 16:20Speaker 2: I didn't know how rich I was. That had nothing
- 16:22Speaker 2: to do with money exactly. So again, I'm just sharing
- 16:26Speaker 2: this because I could feel the energy. It's positive and
- 16:30Speaker 2: maybe maybe you needed to hear it too, But I
- 16:33Speaker 2: could tell you're a good mom.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 16:36Speaker 2: You're doing the best that you can to handle what's
- 16:40Speaker 2: around you. So if I could you know what I'm saying.
- 16:43Speaker 1: That and to you, because that's real big and that's
- 16:46Speaker 1: real deep.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Well, you know, man, we're not taught to talk to
- 16:48Speaker 2: express our feelings. So I think I don't know your
- 16:52Speaker 2: ex husband, but I don't. I just I feel like
- 16:55Speaker 2: once we learn how to express ourselves, we could communicate
- 16:58Speaker 2: that because I'm learning. I learned with my baby mamas
- 17:02Speaker 2: that I didn't communicate correctly. I fucked that up. We
- 17:06Speaker 2: could have ended the relationship, but I didn't communicate well.
- 17:09Speaker 2: One of them was my high school girlfriend, my second
- 17:11Speaker 2: one was a college but I never communicated I was cheating,
- 17:15Speaker 2: cheated on both, but I didn't communicate that I wanted
- 17:18Speaker 2: to leave. I just was like, all right, cool whatever,
- 17:19Speaker 2: let me just do my thing. Wow. And then I
- 17:22Speaker 2: don't give a fuck about how she feels. And then
- 17:24Speaker 2: it led into a whole bunch of drama, all type
- 17:26Speaker 2: of shit. I could have prevented all that. Yeah, So
- 17:28Speaker 2: you know, again, we're not taught to express ourselves like shit,
- 17:32Speaker 2: this shit ain't working. I want to leave, Yes, tell
- 17:37Speaker 2: you that, Yes, you know what I'm saying, don't tell
- 17:40Speaker 2: it to you. But again, this is me. I don't
- 17:42Speaker 2: even think we I didn't learn to use my feelings
- 17:44Speaker 2: until I met my wife. Wow, and that's at thirty two.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I didnet did so much bullshit and drama and lied
- 17:52Speaker 2: the whole time before that. But you know, this feels
- 17:55Speaker 2: like a therapy search that.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Is major, Like I clap it up. You need a
- 17:58Speaker 3: master class at this point, is lacking.
- 18:02Speaker 2: It's it's the EQ for me again, Like I this year,
- 18:06Speaker 2: this past Christmas, I'm just looking at my kids and
- 18:09Speaker 2: my family and there I was like, man, I'm good.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Like I didn't know. I didn't realize how much I
- 18:13Speaker 2: have grown as a person because I'm over thinking. I'm
- 18:16Speaker 2: thinking the jury is gonna help. I'm thinking the diamonds
- 18:19Speaker 2: and the Rolex. I'm thinking all that's gonna help. But
- 18:21Speaker 2: it's just a temporary fix. I'm just learning, like, oh,
- 18:25Speaker 2: you got to have such and such amount of money
- 18:27Speaker 2: in your account, and then when you get it, you'll
- 18:28Speaker 2: be over here like all right, or when you succeed
- 18:31Speaker 2: in something that you wanted all your whole life, you
- 18:33Speaker 2: get there and be like, damn, I don't got nobody
- 18:35Speaker 2: to share it with. Like you make it to the
- 18:38Speaker 2: finished line and you don't have nobody to share with.
- 18:40Speaker 2: It's fucked up. So you know, let's talk about the music.
- 18:46Speaker 3: I love it.
- 18:47Speaker 4: I mean, you know, some people need to hear this though,
- 18:49Speaker 4: you know what I mean, especially coming from from.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Learning my voice is valuable. Now. I didn't know that
- 18:54Speaker 2: people walk up to us and be like, man, I
- 18:56Speaker 2: love to show I love when you said such and such.
- 18:58Speaker 2: So that's why we love talking.
- 19:00Speaker 3: The past behavior.
- 19:01Speaker 2: But it's last we ask you, hey, man, how did
- 19:04Speaker 2: you feel it this particular moment, How did you overcome it? Yes,
- 19:06Speaker 2: because even if it's one person that heard it.
- 19:09Speaker 3: That you did your job, You did your jobiod.
- 19:11Speaker 2: So shout out to you and everything that you overcome. Men,
- 19:14Speaker 2: whatever you're dealing with shall.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Pass, Yes, you said, like my mom and now and
- 19:18Speaker 1: this too shall passes what she say to me literally
- 19:20Speaker 1: every day, and it does. It does because we get
- 19:23Speaker 1: so worked up in the moment and then like two
- 19:25Speaker 1: days later, it's like it happened, it's over and you got.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Through it, and you was like damn, and then you're like,
- 19:30Speaker 2: that wasn't even as bad as I thought exactly.
- 19:33Speaker 1: But it's making you strong because then you deal with
- 19:35Speaker 1: something else you liked. I thought that was bad, this
- 19:37Speaker 1: is and then you get through that. And so iron
- 19:38Speaker 1: sharp is iron. So as long as you're open to it.
- 19:41Speaker 1: I feel like I try to always be optimistic and
- 19:43Speaker 1: look at the glass half full. This may seem bad
- 19:46Speaker 1: for now, but I do feel like it's a bigger plan, right,
- 19:48Speaker 1: because everybody has a purpose, and so what you're going through,
- 19:51Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, what you're gonna do. We
- 19:53Speaker 1: can share in that, but we can also uplift each
- 19:54Speaker 1: other and I think it's a culture. We don't do
- 19:56Speaker 1: that enough because we don't communicate you.
- 20:00Speaker 2: That does a lot.
- 20:01Speaker 4: I feel like the Internet does a lot to have
- 20:03Speaker 4: to do with that, especially when people are only showing
- 20:06Speaker 4: their highlights on social media, and you know, it gives
- 20:09Speaker 4: people a sense of like somebody life is better. Right
- 20:12Speaker 4: if you look, there's always somebody like you look on
- 20:15Speaker 4: instagramm Like, damn, like that's a better than mine?
- 20:18Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. Why didn't you be more
- 20:21Speaker 3: like him?
- 20:21Speaker 1: Now?
- 20:21Speaker 3: That's that's when it gets bad. You know, comparisons are.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Not all right? Well, floor is yours right now? Look
- 20:27Speaker 2: at that camera. Whatever you want to promote, you know,
- 20:29Speaker 2: it's on ball alert. Oh my goodness, it's all on you. Listen.
