- 0:00Speaker 1: Time now for back to the basics and healthcare with
- 0:02Speaker 1: Balance Life Chiropractic and happy birthday to you it is
- 0:06Speaker 1: is this officially the birthday week?
- 0:07Speaker 2: It is? Yeah, our birthday was on Monday. It's five years.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that is awesome and you got it all decorated
- 0:14Speaker 1: and it looks awesome and when people come in they
- 0:16Speaker 1: can't help but notice there's something going on here and
- 0:19Speaker 1: you guys are different, but in a good way. Let's
- 0:21Speaker 1: talk about some of the differences at Balance Life Chiropractic.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Yeah, just like all professions, there's always new advancements, new
- 0:28Speaker 2: ways of approaching things. So we perform or utilize torque
- 0:33Speaker 2: release technique and some of you might be out there
- 0:35Speaker 2: listening like, oh, yeah, I've heard of that, or it
- 0:37Speaker 2: might be you know TRT for short. Yeah, they're like,
- 0:40Speaker 2: oh what is that? The traditional chiropractic? You know, we
- 0:43Speaker 2: put you on a table, we might twist you up,
- 0:45Speaker 2: put you in a pretzel position kind of that's what
- 0:49Speaker 2: you think, right. Obviously, there's like technical terms to these things,
- 0:52Speaker 2: and you know, we're popping things and you're like, oh,
- 0:54Speaker 2: they pop my bag. You know, we're working to release
- 0:57Speaker 2: all the tension in your spine get things moving like
- 0:59Speaker 2: they're supposed to. With torque release technique, we actually utilize
- 1:02Speaker 2: instrument adjusting. And with instrument adjusting, I get this question
- 1:06Speaker 2: sometimes you'd be like, oh, that little clicker thing does anything.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Yeah, what is that thing called.
- 1:10Speaker 2: It's called an integrator.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Integrator. It sounds like a superhero. It's doctor Harley and
- 1:15Speaker 1: the integrator.
- 1:16Speaker 2: It's my sidekick. Yeah. So there are activators, which is
- 1:20Speaker 2: another common instrument that is used in chiropractic. They're a
- 1:24Speaker 2: little bit different, but really, at the end of the day,
- 1:26Speaker 2: with this type of adjusting, we're working with your body
- 1:29Speaker 2: to work on making changes more about helping the nervous
- 1:32Speaker 2: system versus just moving your spine to realign it, which
- 1:37Speaker 2: it happens at the same time, but we're focusing more
- 1:40Speaker 2: on making sure that your nerves are communicating and your
- 1:43Speaker 2: brain and your body are communicating like they're supposed to.
- 1:46Speaker 2: And when we do manual adjusting that does end up
- 1:49Speaker 2: happening is we're facilitating a nerve response, but that's not
- 1:52Speaker 2: always like the number one priority depending on the chiropractic
- 1:56Speaker 2: thought process behind why that chiropractor is adjusting something. So
- 2:00Speaker 2: with this we're really focusing on fixing that communication issue.
- 2:04Speaker 2: And communication is so important. You know, right now, if
- 2:06Speaker 2: you're listening to me and you're outside of getting outside
- 2:10Speaker 2: of Sonny's distribution era, you might be hearing a little
- 2:12Speaker 2: bit static. You know, it could get a little harder
- 2:14Speaker 2: to hear. That's all about communication, right, So, you know
- 2:17Speaker 2: that happens in our body. We have static or we
- 2:19Speaker 2: have miscommunications happening, and that's not a good thing because
- 2:23Speaker 2: that can lead to the aches, pains and dysfunctions that
- 2:25Speaker 2: we start to notice, or maybe we don't notice them
- 2:28Speaker 2: right away, and then over time things are getting worse again,
- 2:31Speaker 2: we still might not be realizing it, and then suddenly
- 2:34Speaker 2: something happens. We're like, where did this come from? I
- 2:37Speaker 2: thought I was doing okay? You know, how can I
- 2:39Speaker 2: be having this major issue when nothing was going on yesterday? Yeah,
- 2:44Speaker 2: because that communication has been slowly breaking down more and more.
- 2:47Speaker 2: So with this type of adjusting, we're really trying to
- 2:50Speaker 2: figure out where's the problem at and by adjusting it,
- 2:54Speaker 2: we're going to fix that problem, fix that communication issue
- 2:57Speaker 2: so your body can heal and help itself better.
- 2:59Speaker 1: In fact, and one of the things that's nice about
- 3:02Speaker 1: utilizing that tool your sidekick, the Integrator. It can be
- 3:05Speaker 1: very pinpointed because you know, if you look at your hands,
- 3:08Speaker 1: your hands are like the size of hands. But this
- 3:10Speaker 1: integrator is you know, it's like a pinpoint, so you
- 3:13Speaker 1: can get really close and fine tune what you're doing.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Right, you know, hands are the size of hands are
- 3:18Speaker 2: kind of a long hands.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Size, yes, right, yeah, roughly for those of you look
- 3:21Speaker 1: at your hands, that's how big hands are.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Not that and I always look at kind of like
- 3:25Speaker 2: it's like a shotgun approach versus a sniper rifle approach.
- 3:29Speaker 2: With the hand adjusting, it's kind of like a shotgun,
- 3:31Speaker 2: we're putting a lot more force over a larger area
- 3:33Speaker 2: versus with the instrument, we're a lot more pinpoints specific,
- 3:37Speaker 2: kind of like a sniper riffle. So all that force
- 3:39Speaker 2: is going into that specific area that we want to adjust.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Very nice. If somebody listening is going, hey, I would
- 3:44Speaker 1: like to stop in and see doctor Harley and her sidekick,
- 3:47Speaker 1: the Integrator. How do they get in touch with you guys?
