- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey everyone, welcome to the Almost Famous podcast. It's just
- 0:09Speaker 2: me today, but it's not just me because I have
- 0:11Speaker 2: a very special guest. Peter Weber, one of the favorites
- 0:15Speaker 2: from Peacocks to Traders, is on the pod with me today.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Hey Peter Ashley, what's going on? It's good to be here.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Well, you are very impressive to me because I just
- 0:28Speaker 2: watched episode one of The Traders and I handt even
- 0:31Speaker 2: as is a viewer figure out the game?
- 0:35Speaker 3: Yeah, oh you're You're just on episode one? All right?
- 0:37Speaker 3: You got so much enough to do?
- 0:38Speaker 2: But why am I so confused as the premise and
- 0:41Speaker 2: how there's a Trader and there's loyalists and you're walking
- 0:45Speaker 2: around you don't know who's who?
- 0:46Speaker 4: How do you possibly not know who's who?
- 0:49Speaker 3: You?
- 0:50Speaker 5: So it's funny, I almost think, and I guess they
- 0:52Speaker 5: I've heard people compare.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Have you heard of the show the show The Mole?
- 0:55Speaker 4: Yes, that was like two thousands.
- 0:58Speaker 5: I never saw it, but I a lot of people
- 1:01Speaker 5: have been talking about. I guess it's similar themes with
- 1:03Speaker 5: the Traders. But I think on that show you don't
- 1:06Speaker 5: know who The Trader, like you're just as in the
- 1:08Speaker 5: dark as the act.
- 1:09Speaker 3: They call it.
- 1:09Speaker 4: Faith could be the all, but you don't even know.
- 1:13Speaker 5: No, like the the the audience, audience doesn't know while
- 1:16Speaker 5: they're watching the show. This show is a little bit
- 1:18Speaker 5: different than The Traders, where obviously the audience is privy
- 1:21Speaker 5: to information right from the beginning when Alan chooses who
- 1:24Speaker 5: it is. So it's it's kind of I see what
- 1:27Speaker 5: you're saying. When you're a viewer, obviously it's like, well,
- 1:29Speaker 5: how do they not know? How how can you not?
- 1:31Speaker 5: You can you can't pick up on these things, but
- 1:33Speaker 5: you you really don't, and you know, at least for
- 1:36Speaker 5: me going into it, I I honestly really only knew
- 1:40Speaker 5: one I recognize, actually two people when I showed up
- 1:42Speaker 5: the first day at the castle, and it was Max
- 1:45Speaker 5: from Dance with the Stars because I love watching him.
- 1:47Speaker 5: And then I recognized Fedra. I haven't really watched the Housewives,
- 1:49Speaker 5: but I definitely knew who she was. Other than that,
- 1:51Speaker 5: I didn't, I didn't really know anybody, and so you're
- 1:54Speaker 5: kind of just trying to like everything's happening so quickly.
- 1:56Speaker 5: You're filming, you know, an episode pretty much a day
- 1:59Speaker 5: and you're just trying to pick up on any little tell.
- 2:03Speaker 3: But like when you go to that first round.
- 2:05Speaker 5: Table start, which I think you saw in the first episode,
- 2:07Speaker 5: and Alan goes around and picks they gave you like
- 2:09Speaker 5: skin tight blackout like imasks.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I was gonna ask how blackout were those, because they had.
- 2:16Speaker 5: To be you can't see like it is completely blacked out.
- 2:21Speaker 5: It's like really tight on your face. They pull it
- 2:23Speaker 5: really hard, so you can't sneak anything. You're trying to
- 2:25Speaker 5: like listen, Oh, did I hear Alan's arm move or
- 2:28Speaker 5: did I hear something a fabric move when when someone
- 2:31Speaker 5: got touched And that kind of got you know. That
- 2:34Speaker 5: was the topic of conversation in the beginning because in
- 2:36Speaker 5: the beginning you have nothing, so you're just you're shooting
- 2:38Speaker 5: at anything. But yeah, you truly you don't know how
- 2:41Speaker 5: many are chosen. You don't know who's chosen. It could
- 2:44Speaker 5: be I think anywhere from two to five is what
- 2:47Speaker 5: the rules said at the very beginning. And yeah, you're
- 2:49Speaker 5: completely in the dark as a faithful.
- 2:52Speaker 2: That was another thing that I was confused about because
- 2:54Speaker 2: Alan was like, the traders are gonna have a meeting tonight.
- 2:57Speaker 2: I was like, well, how do you guys who aren't traders? Yeah,
- 3:01Speaker 2: Like don't you wonder why they're missing?
- 3:04Speaker 5: So the way that all works is at the very
- 3:08Speaker 5: end of the filming day, like once we're all done
- 3:10Speaker 5: with reality, we finished the roundtable ceremonies, we go actually
- 3:13Speaker 5: we go back to like for reality for like maybe
- 3:16Speaker 5: thirty more minutes where you're on camera. After that, you
- 3:19Speaker 5: get taken into a big room and the doors closed
- 3:23Speaker 5: and everyone's in there, and you get called out one
- 3:25Speaker 5: by one to go to your own you know, you
- 3:28Speaker 5: get let out by producers on your own to go
- 3:30Speaker 5: sleep here for the night. So you don't know if
- 3:33Speaker 5: they're taking you know, someone to just go to their room,
- 3:35Speaker 5: or you're taking them to go to turret to go
- 3:38Speaker 5: have a secret conversation with another trader.
- 3:40Speaker 3: It's all one by once. You don't know.
- 3:41Speaker 2: So you mentioned that, like you didn't really recognize anyone.
- 3:45Speaker 2: So when I was on Stars on Mars, I was
- 3:47Speaker 2: like really intimidated because they were huge. I felt very
- 3:51Speaker 2: out of place. There were huge stars, Lance Armstrong, Marshawn Lynch,
- 3:55Speaker 2: like Paul Pierce, We'renda Rousey. I'm like, oh, these are
- 3:57Speaker 2: household names. Like if you don't watch the Bachelory know
- 4:00Speaker 2: who I am at all? So I felt very small. Now,
- 4:03Speaker 2: you mentioned that you didn't recognize anybody, and that's just
- 4:06Speaker 2: probably because you don't watch like a ton of reality TV,
- 4:09Speaker 2: because if you're like a reality TV person, like these
- 4:11Speaker 2: people are really huge Johnny Bananas and all that. Did
- 4:14Speaker 2: you how did you feel socially in that environment?
- 4:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean that's a great But first off, I'm
- 4:20Speaker 3: just curious.
- 4:21Speaker 5: What was I'm a diehard Seahawks fan, vismode Mark Shawn Lynch.
- 4:24Speaker 3: How was he awesome?
- 4:25Speaker 2: I was there for forty eight hours and he was
- 4:29Speaker 2: the greatest part of my experience. He was everything you've
- 4:32Speaker 2: ever wanted him to be. He was the one that
- 4:34Speaker 2: when people were like, who are you excited to meet?
- 4:36Speaker 2: I was like him and he lived up to expectations.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Yeah, because you guys are big Patriots fans, right.
- 4:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm a Giants fans Patriots.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Fan, so well. Anyways, Yeah, I love that legion.
- 4:48Speaker 4: Of boom time over at the Seio.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Yeah, those are the glory days.
- 4:53Speaker 5: Honestly, I think I actually think it probably it was
- 4:57Speaker 5: to my benefit not having any real reason to let
- 5:01Speaker 5: feel an intimidation, you know, if I obviously since the show,
- 5:04Speaker 5: I've you know, done, you know, my research on everyone,
- 5:06Speaker 5: and just you just get to know them obviously, so
- 5:09Speaker 5: you become friends pretty quickly.
- 5:10Speaker 3: But like with.
- 5:11Speaker 5: Johnny Bananas, obviously he was only there for I think
- 5:14Speaker 5: one day. He was out super quickly. But that guy
- 5:17Speaker 5: is a game player. That guy is you know, to
- 5:19Speaker 5: be almost a little bit of a menace and like
- 5:21Speaker 5: super hard to read and like to pick up on,
- 5:24Speaker 5: so I would be really curious.
- 5:25Speaker 3: I think he could have gone super far.
- 5:27Speaker 5: But again, at that point, traders are Dan and they
- 5:31Speaker 5: are Phaedra, and I think Dan was the one that
- 5:33Speaker 5: took the lead on that. It was probably the smartest
- 5:36Speaker 5: call to get rid of someone that's that powerful of
- 5:38Speaker 5: a game player right off the bat, so you just
- 5:40Speaker 5: you don't have to worry about it. But for me, yeah,
- 5:43Speaker 5: I didn't have really that intimidation factor, so I kind
- 5:46Speaker 5: of just went in just shooting the ship with everyone
- 5:49Speaker 5: getting to know them, having fun. We're in a castle
- 5:51Speaker 5: in Scotland, the most beautiful landscape you can imagine, playing
- 5:55Speaker 5: a really cool real life game of Clue, and just
- 5:59Speaker 5: got to know everyone right then for the very first time,
- 6:02Speaker 5: no preconceived notions, and I think also coming from you know,
- 6:06Speaker 5: the only background that I have with reality TV Bachelor,
- 6:10Speaker 5: you know, love emotion based all that stuff. There was
- 6:12Speaker 5: really no competitive gameplay type film, you know, per se
- 6:16Speaker 5: on me for other people to you know, get reads on.
- 6:20Speaker 5: And you know, I was able to kind of benefit
- 6:22Speaker 5: from that because they really couldn't get read.
- 6:24Speaker 4: I guess was part of you like, oh man, I
- 6:26Speaker 4: don't have many Bachelor friends here.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Well, I was just talking with Nick and he'd asked
- 6:33Speaker 5: me something about with x's and do you know ECKENSU No,
- 6:40Speaker 5: Eckens She's from Love Island, okay version.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Yes, I know who you're talking about now.
- 6:45Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, very similar look to Kelly, especially from as
- 6:50Speaker 5: from Kelly playing.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Very similar look.
- 6:52Speaker 5: And again as you're showing up to the castle, you're
- 6:55Speaker 5: driving in these like big land Rover like Humby's. There's
- 6:57Speaker 5: only four of us in a car at a time.
- 6:59Speaker 5: So I was with Sandra, I was with Peppermint, and
- 7:01Speaker 5: I was a chre. I was in the front right seat,
- 7:04Speaker 5: and so we're driving around doing these like tracking shots
- 7:06Speaker 5: and we were passing another suv coming the opposite direction
- 7:10Speaker 5: and like my heart, it stopped because I see I
- 7:13Speaker 5: see this girl in the front right seat of the
- 7:15Speaker 5: opposite car, and I'm like, they did not that's Kelly, Like,
- 7:18Speaker 5: oh my god.
- 7:20Speaker 4: That would have been awesome for us.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Yeah, but not.
- 7:23Speaker 4: They would have had a lot of Bachelor Nation crossover
- 7:27Speaker 4: with the viewership there first.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Sure, totally, And I like I thought it was her
- 7:31Speaker 3: at first.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Was there a TikTok going around that your mom's commenting
- 7:34Speaker 2: on her on her stuff for social media and stuff
- 7:37Speaker 2: I can sue.
- 7:39Speaker 5: If there is, I'm not sure. I mean, my mom
- 7:42Speaker 5: is a big fan of econ Sue. Yeah, she definitely,
- 7:45Speaker 5: she likes her, She's befriended her, But I don't know
- 7:47Speaker 5: if there's a TikTok going around maybe.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Is she a big fan as if she wants you
- 7:51Speaker 4: to date her?
- 7:53Speaker 3: No, we we are. We're just good friends.
- 7:55Speaker 5: She's she's kind of I don't want to speak on
- 7:59Speaker 5: her half, but kind of you know, has some stuff
- 8:01Speaker 5: going on with her relationship or maybe ending of the relationship,
- 8:04Speaker 5: so just just friends.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Out of all the shows that are represented on the Traders, Yeah,
- 8:11Speaker 2: what show do you think had like the most upper hand?
- 8:14Speaker 4: Was it The Challenge Survivor?
- 8:17Speaker 5: I think Big Brother, I truly do I think, And
- 8:22Speaker 5: again it was it was kind of cool from my
- 8:25Speaker 5: perspective to go into this game kind of like be
- 8:27Speaker 5: naive in a way, and I'm up here playing with Dan.
- 8:30Speaker 5: I don't know if you're familiar with Dan.
- 8:32Speaker 4: I'm familiar with Dan now, yeah.
- 8:34Speaker 5: Okay, apparently known as the best big brother to ever
- 8:37Speaker 5: like player to ever play the game, and did not
- 8:39Speaker 5: know this, and so it's kind of funny, Like looking
- 8:42Speaker 5: back on it, I was like, Wow, I was like
- 8:44Speaker 5: literally in the presence of greatness and this kind of
- 8:46Speaker 5: like atmosphere, this kind of game type thing I noticed,
- 8:49Speaker 5: though not so much from him because him and I
- 8:52Speaker 5: never got We were close, but there was always suspicion
- 8:55Speaker 5: on him.
- 8:55Speaker 3: He was the first trader banished.
- 8:57Speaker 5: Not to spoil it, sorry, but Nell, who also played
- 9:01Speaker 5: with him, I'm a big brother. She kind of like
- 9:04Speaker 5: I was soaking up information from her left and right, like.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Her gameplay, her strategizing, like.
- 9:09Speaker 5: It was so on point, and the way she would
- 9:12Speaker 5: see things were just ways that I wasn't even thinking
- 9:14Speaker 5: about looking that way. And I felt like I owe
- 9:17Speaker 5: her a lot of credit because I really kind of
- 9:19Speaker 5: learned trial by fire along her side and Unfortunately she
- 9:22Speaker 5: got banished kind of early on too, but we had
- 9:24Speaker 5: developed a really good relationship and it was cool to
- 9:26Speaker 5: play with someone that has done this and it's been
- 9:28Speaker 5: so successful and kind.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Of learned from her.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Cool. So did you watch the first season as study?
- 9:36Speaker 3: I did? Yeah, yeah, have to.
- 9:38Speaker 4: I really feel like yeah with Ari? Did you call Ari?
- 9:40Speaker 4: Did you guys have a meeting?
- 9:43Speaker 5: So this all happened so last minute. I got a
- 9:45Speaker 5: call about a week, as these shows often do. I
- 9:49Speaker 5: thought I was like a replacement or something. I'm like, oh,
- 9:51Speaker 5: this is I'm just a last bit of replacement. Sure,
- 9:53Speaker 5: I'm gonna say yes, it sounds freaking awesome. Had time
- 9:55Speaker 5: off from work, so I quickly binged.
- 9:58Speaker 3: The whole season.
- 9:58Speaker 5: Then and then you're getting my your wardrobe you had
- 10:00Speaker 5: to get like ten eleven looks ready. So I'm I
- 10:03Speaker 5: was going like crazy, all your medical tests and all
- 10:05Speaker 5: that stuff done. So I had meant, you know, intended
- 10:07Speaker 5: to call him. I never did, and then I got
- 10:09Speaker 5: asked this all you know in promos when around Scotland
- 10:11Speaker 5: and your phone's gone.
- 10:12Speaker 3: I'm like, ah shit, but.
- 10:13Speaker 5: He did so good? Like he like he I, in
- 10:16Speaker 5: my opinion, could have won it. If he would have
- 10:17Speaker 5: just played it a little bit different. He kind of
- 10:20Speaker 5: he kind of gave it up at the end, which
- 10:21Speaker 5: is you.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Know, any second he was second to last episode or
- 10:26Speaker 4: something like that.
- 10:27Speaker 3: He was. He made this episodical.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Yeah, he was a trader and then him and another trader, Suri,
- 10:32Speaker 5: had made it to the final. They had two other
- 10:34Speaker 5: faithfuls and he could have left, you know, left the
- 10:37Speaker 5: game with just Surria split the pot, but he he
- 10:39Speaker 5: didn't want to like get into it, get all muddy
- 10:41Speaker 5: and get nasty at the end, so he walked out.
- 10:43Speaker 5: But he did it really he played really well, a
- 10:45Speaker 5: good game as well.
- 10:56Speaker 4: How's the social media feedback? Then?
- 10:58Speaker 2: People are really just loving you in this element. They're
- 11:01Speaker 2: saying that you're showing how smart and tactful you can
- 11:04Speaker 2: be in these challenges and as a leader.
- 11:06Speaker 4: Does this make you feel awesome?
- 11:08Speaker 3: It feel it feels cool? Yeah, it's funny, Like.
- 11:10Speaker 5: I I I get I didn't realize that. I kind
- 11:14Speaker 5: of was like I didn't think it'd be such a shock, right,
- 11:17Speaker 5: Like I look at myself and you know, I know
- 11:18Speaker 5: all the work I've put into, you know, becoming a
- 11:20Speaker 5: pilot and all that entails and you know, a certain
- 11:23Speaker 5: level of just knowledge and and whatnot. So I was
- 11:26Speaker 5: I didn't really surprise myself so much, but I guess
- 11:29Speaker 5: people just really underestimated that. And you know, I guess
- 11:32Speaker 5: all they have if you don't know me, is you know,
- 11:34Speaker 5: a couple episodes of a you know, Bachelor of a
- 11:36Speaker 5: love season. So it's been cool to see that response.
- 11:40Speaker 5: I definitely appreciate that love. And I mean with the
- 11:42Speaker 5: love comes a lot of other hate you don't get
- 11:44Speaker 5: just you know, one side. So it's like kind of
- 11:47Speaker 5: bringing you back to that moment of when I was
- 11:49Speaker 5: going through the Bachelor, and you get opinions left and right,
- 11:52Speaker 5: but no, it's predominantly been really really cool and the
- 11:55Speaker 5: Traders fan base yeah is yeah, good good place in
- 11:58Speaker 5: my heart for them.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Of all the challenges that you do, because some of
- 12:02Speaker 2: them they even say are like fear factor level, which
- 12:05Speaker 2: one was the most intense for you?
- 12:08Speaker 5: That honestly was like one of the most fun parts
- 12:12Speaker 5: of the game. And I remember I just was like, obviously,
- 12:15Speaker 5: you go in there, you want to win, and you
- 12:16Speaker 5: don't know how things are going to play out. There's
- 12:18Speaker 5: twenty one, you know, plus contestants in the beginning, So
- 12:20Speaker 5: it's kind of a long shot at first, but I'm
- 12:22Speaker 5: just like, I just don't want to be the first one,
- 12:24Speaker 5: like Knicked, I just want to try one mission because
- 12:26Speaker 5: I'd always want to do like a fear factor. I
- 12:28Speaker 5: always want to do that. So obviously got to do
- 12:30Speaker 5: quite a bit of them. I would say the worst
- 12:34Speaker 5: one was the It Comes later on. It was like
- 12:36Speaker 5: two episodes ago. We had to do an escape room
- 12:38Speaker 5: where we went into this like small little house. So hard,
- 12:42Speaker 5: but this was hard, but this was disgusting, Like this
- 12:45Speaker 5: was truly it and my biggest fear in the world
- 12:48Speaker 5: of snakes, like hands down, you know, everyone has that
- 12:51Speaker 5: one fear.
- 12:52Speaker 3: I just I cannot do steaks.
- 12:54Speaker 4: I'm a spider's over snakes person.
- 12:55Speaker 5: But okay, yeah, okay, so for me it's snakes. And
- 12:58Speaker 5: we go into this escape room. Uh doctor Wild he's
- 13:01Speaker 5: from Big Brother. They had brought him in as like
- 13:02Speaker 5: a guest spot to host that episode. And we get
- 13:07Speaker 5: put it into this house or it's a small little cabin,
- 13:09Speaker 5: and we find out we have to go through the
- 13:10Speaker 5: back of this wardrobe chest and we break through that
- 13:13Speaker 5: wall and then it leads to this tunnel as like
- 13:15Speaker 5: a forty five degree angle down into this like cellar
- 13:19Speaker 5: or like this. It's like a yeah, underground cell like
- 13:21Speaker 5: sewage system, literally like a sewage system.
- 13:25Speaker 3: So you go in there all wet.
- 13:27Speaker 5: It smell smells like like they have like I don't
- 13:30Speaker 5: think it was real, like feces, like just from health reasons,
- 13:33Speaker 5: but they made it smell like that.
- 13:36Speaker 3: And you're walking around.
- 13:37Speaker 5: It's freezing, You're like on your knees are banging up
- 13:39Speaker 5: against like metal grates.
- 13:40Speaker 3: It's pitch black because the lights kept.
- 13:42Speaker 5: Turning on and off, and of course then they have
- 13:44Speaker 5: critters down there as well, and you're like in if
- 13:46Speaker 5: you're claustrophobic, you you could not, like a couple people
- 13:49Speaker 5: didn't do it. And you're going around and there's like
- 13:52Speaker 5: certain little, you know, offsets, so you can try to
- 13:54Speaker 5: go get a shield, or you can go get money
- 13:55Speaker 5: for the pot. And there was one at the very
- 13:58Speaker 5: end where you could just see a little bit light
- 14:00Speaker 5: would go into the room and it would it would
- 14:02Speaker 5: reflect off of two eyes and looking in there. And
- 14:06Speaker 5: I wasn't the first one to go, but Trischelle, she's
- 14:08Speaker 5: like she knew I was terrified. Estacially, Peter, don't just
- 14:10Speaker 5: don't don't go that way. And I'm like, why, Like
- 14:12Speaker 5: there's a snake in there.
- 14:13Speaker 4: Oh my god, just just freeze slithering around.
- 14:17Speaker 5: So the eyes were like in the very back. It
- 14:19Speaker 5: was a small maybe four by four room, you know,
- 14:22Speaker 5: two three feet tall, And anyways, there was a good
- 14:25Speaker 5: pot of change. There was like five thousand dollars coin
- 14:27Speaker 5: in there. I obviously didn't go in there. Well, anyways,
- 14:30Speaker 5: funny story is we get out of the mission, we
- 14:32Speaker 5: get out of like the whole the sewage system, and
- 14:35Speaker 5: I'm still like, I can't believe that was that close
- 14:37Speaker 5: to a snake, Like holy shit.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:38Speaker 5: And then we're after we're back at the castle and
- 14:41Speaker 5: the animal handler is there and like we're talking to him.
- 14:44Speaker 5: I'm like, so I just got asked to like what
- 14:46Speaker 5: what kind of snake was that? Just because that's like
- 14:47Speaker 5: my biggest fear of what was I like going up against.
- 14:49Speaker 5: He's like, snake, were talking about snake. I'm like, the
- 14:52Speaker 5: snake that was in the back with the last coin.
- 14:54Speaker 5: He's like, there were no, there were no snakes in there,
- 14:56Speaker 5: Like what He's like, those were toads.
- 14:59Speaker 3: It's like, oh my.
- 15:00Speaker 5: God, from a distance, little eyes in the darkness like
- 15:06Speaker 5: the skin. But that was the toughest mission.
- 15:08Speaker 4: That was the scariest one.
- 15:09Speaker 3: All yeah, the scariest.
- 15:11Speaker 2: You have this term that they're calling you captain faithful.
- 15:15Speaker 2: You were even asked to be a trader, you wouldn't
- 15:17Speaker 2: do it? What was it about you?
- 15:19Speaker 4: Just like needing to be the good guy here?
- 15:22Speaker 5: Wasn't even so much that that's been blown out of proportion.
- 15:25Speaker 5: I feel like so much like it. It really didn't
- 15:27Speaker 5: go that deep. I was so strategic in like I
- 15:32Speaker 5: just chose I was going to be very Once I
- 15:33Speaker 5: got ahold of the game, I felt comfortable. As you'll
- 15:36Speaker 5: see if you know you continue to watching the show.
- 15:38Speaker 5: It we just the group of you know, faithfuls that
- 15:41Speaker 5: I decided to put my trust into.
- 15:43Speaker 3: We all did that with each other.
- 15:44Speaker 5: So we got very close and we have a lot
- 15:46Speaker 5: of really good momentum going at that point in the
- 15:49Speaker 5: game when I got the recruitment. So in my mind
- 15:51Speaker 5: again it's everything has a repercussion. It's there's pros and
- 15:55Speaker 5: cons to everything. First off, I just didn't want to
- 15:58Speaker 5: throw off my game. At that point. We were doing
- 16:00Speaker 5: so well. Now I'd have to completely switch up, and
- 16:02Speaker 5: now I'm lying to every single person that I've been trusting,
- 16:05Speaker 5: and I just felt like, you know, maybe I had
- 16:08Speaker 5: the acting chops to do it, but it just I
- 16:09Speaker 5: wasn't totally confident in that.
- 16:11Speaker 3: And also, at that.
- 16:12Speaker 5: Point, before they gave me the recruitment letter, we had
- 16:15Speaker 5: just banished or we had just figured out two of
- 16:18Speaker 5: the traders, and while I was kind of at the
- 16:20Speaker 5: forefront of helping figure those out, to me, it was
- 16:23Speaker 5: just like, this is way too obvious because it was
- 16:25Speaker 5: going to be known to the rest of the castle
- 16:27Speaker 5: that there was a recruitment. I'm like, everyone's gonna like,
- 16:29Speaker 5: who's the most obvious recruit. Well, we're gonna go get
- 16:31Speaker 5: the guy that just figured us out. And so I
- 16:33Speaker 5: was like, that just is not going to bode well
- 16:35Speaker 5: for me. I could see these two traders just completely
- 16:37Speaker 5: turning on me the very next day, throwing me under
- 16:40Speaker 5: the bus, and then now gaining some credibility on their side.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Oh look, Peter was a trader. We got him. I
- 16:45Speaker 3: just didn't want to didn't want to go down that route.
- 16:48Speaker 2: You mentioned lying, and I'm watching this show and I'm like,
- 16:52Speaker 2: I'm the worst actress.
- 16:53Speaker 4: I cannot lie for the life of me.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Do you feel like that's a kind of like a
- 16:59Speaker 2: trade that you need to have have going.
- 17:00Speaker 4: Into it, or at least let's just say it's acting.
- 17:05Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly, it is acting, and like none of it's
- 17:08Speaker 5: like you had to like it's weird because the game
- 17:10Speaker 5: it gets so intense, everything down to like the host
- 17:12Speaker 5: with Alan Cumming, he's such a master of his craft,
- 17:16Speaker 5: like such a method actor. Never broke character actually once,
- 17:21Speaker 5: like he was just what you saw on TV was
- 17:23Speaker 5: how we would talk to you off, you know, when
- 17:25Speaker 5: we were just maintain this persona of the top, over
- 17:31Speaker 5: the top, just Scottish crazy guy that owns this castle.
- 17:34Speaker 5: It's inviting these strangers to come in and play, you know,
- 17:37Speaker 5: a crazy game for some money. And so I it, Yeah,
- 17:43Speaker 5: it would have been tough to kind of switch that.
- 17:46Speaker 5: And there was one part where I kind of had
- 17:48Speaker 5: to pull out the traders. Like so there was a
- 17:51Speaker 5: trader name's Poverty, And at the end we kind of
- 17:54Speaker 5: did like a little hair Hill Mary thing where I
- 17:56Speaker 5: was trying to convince her like we knew she was
- 17:58Speaker 5: a trader. But then our strategy like we got to
- 18:00Speaker 5: switch it up and we got to try to somehow
- 18:02Speaker 5: make her like convinced that we're not onto her anymore,
- 18:05Speaker 5: and so there was a little bit of where I
- 18:06Speaker 5: got a taste of Damn, this would have been fun
- 18:09Speaker 5: being able to like go around and just like beIN
- 18:11Speaker 5: gvous and like just completely throw people off and do
- 18:14Speaker 5: all like. It would have been fun as hell to
- 18:16Speaker 5: be a Trader. I probably would have accepted it much
- 18:18Speaker 5: earlier on in the game. It's just when they offered
- 18:20Speaker 5: it to me, it was too far in. But yeah,
- 18:24Speaker 5: it would have been fun to be a Trader from
- 18:25Speaker 5: the beginning. I think I would enjoyed it.
- 18:27Speaker 2: So we've heard from Tamra that it was really hard
- 18:31Speaker 2: to kind of readjust back to real life after the Traders.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Did you find yourself like needing to talk to like
- 18:40Speaker 2: the show therapist more than possibly even the Bachelor.
- 18:45Speaker 3: We Yeah, I definitely did.
- 18:47Speaker 5: They had us talk to a show therapist, like every
- 18:51Speaker 5: couple of days we had our own like we'd go
- 18:53Speaker 5: for walks and like you know, when we're not filming
- 18:56Speaker 5: or like on our off days, we'd go and like
- 18:57Speaker 5: just have like a nice hour chat. And yeah, I
- 19:00Speaker 5: think there's reason for that because again, like what I
- 19:02Speaker 5: was getting to before, it's such an intense environment, like
- 19:05Speaker 5: truly intense. And then you you know, even though I
- 19:07Speaker 5: didn't know people going in, you see very quickly what
- 19:10Speaker 5: these people are capable of. And you know, at the
- 19:13Speaker 5: what's it called the roundtable ceremonies, those that was so
- 19:17Speaker 5: much more intense than any Rose ceremony I ever went through,
- 19:20Speaker 5: any experience, any experience on the Bachelor that I ever did.
- 19:24Speaker 5: It didn't even it paled in comparison to the round
- 19:26Speaker 5: table because imagine, yeah, it was intense. Imagine like you have,
- 19:31Speaker 5: there's just so much like suspicion floating in the air.
- 19:34Speaker 5: You have brilliant people that know what they're doing, that
- 19:38Speaker 5: are all in conversation. You get heat on you, you
- 19:41Speaker 5: get all the eyes of you know, starting from twenty
- 19:43Speaker 5: to twenty one down to hopefully you make it to
- 19:45Speaker 5: the end. It is. It is a pressure like cooker
- 19:49Speaker 5: and you just hope that you aren't going to crack
- 19:52Speaker 5: on it because one little misstep, like one little miscalculation,
- 19:56Speaker 5: and your possible entire game as well as you've played
- 19:58Speaker 5: to that point, goes.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Down the drain.
- 20:01Speaker 5: And they it's so cool, like one of my fondest
- 20:03Speaker 5: memories they have, like they really really do a good
- 20:06Speaker 5: job of setting the mood for you. So you'd walk in.
- 20:08Speaker 5: It's like this really really cool, elaborate wooden. It looks
- 20:11Speaker 5: like almost like you're in a church, but it's in
- 20:12Speaker 5: the castle, and they're playing the song from mocking Jay
- 20:17Speaker 5: from what was the movie with Jennifer Larrence. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 20:22Speaker 5: they're playing that song and it starts off like really cool,
- 20:25Speaker 5: and they have like this like camera that's like on
- 20:27Speaker 5: a suspended arm from the ceiling, coming around just like rotating,
- 20:30Speaker 5: getting all like the shots of everyone, and it like
- 20:32Speaker 5: you don't talk until Alan and as the music's ending
- 20:36Speaker 5: every single time and get really dramatic to like the
- 20:38Speaker 5: highest point. And then in dramatic fashion, Alan walks in
- 20:41Speaker 5: from the entrance, comes up the stairs and like stomps
- 20:44Speaker 5: his foot. He's like welcomes a round table, and it
- 20:47Speaker 5: just like boom, game on, don't crack.
- 20:51Speaker 4: I'm really mind boggled. Deck.
- 20:52Speaker 2: You can be more intense than a row ceremony, because
- 20:54Speaker 2: when I think of the most like nerve wracking moment
- 20:56Speaker 2: of my life, they're Rose ceremonies. So would you say
- 21:00Speaker 2: that if you had to compare the two experiences between
- 21:03Speaker 2: the Bachelor and Traders. Which one did you get more
- 21:06Speaker 2: in your head about, Like which one did you feel
- 21:09Speaker 2: like the most, Like oh my god, like who am
- 21:12Speaker 2: I like so introspective and all that good question.
- 21:18Speaker 5: I would say, I really feel like I was able
- 21:23Speaker 5: to be more myself on The Traders. I didn't feel
- 21:27Speaker 5: as much pressure, like I think, if I'm comparing that's
- 21:30Speaker 5: a really good question if I'm comparing myself to like
- 21:33Speaker 5: on the Bachelor, And you know, I've talked about this
- 21:36Speaker 5: in the past, Like I was definitely being myself, Like
- 21:40Speaker 5: I can't not be myself, but I was trying so
- 21:42Speaker 5: hard to. I think I gave too much energy to
- 21:47Speaker 5: too many people on The Bachelor, and like that came
- 21:50Speaker 5: to bite me in the ass later on, just because
- 21:53Speaker 5: at some point you only have so much to give,
- 21:55Speaker 5: and you know, I was trying maybe a little bit
- 21:57Speaker 5: of like people pleasing qualities on the Bachelor. I tried
- 22:00Speaker 5: my best, just you know, these women took so much
- 22:02Speaker 5: time out of their lives to come and date me
- 22:04Speaker 5: and see if there's, you know, potentially something here, Like
- 22:06Speaker 5: I felt like I owed it to them, and so
- 22:08Speaker 5: I I just felt like I gave gave, gave so
- 22:10Speaker 5: much on that show, and it kind of like broke
- 22:11Speaker 5: me down into like a pretty tough state at the end,
- 22:14Speaker 5: Like I was just exhausted on this. I kind of
- 22:17Speaker 5: and you'll see, like it's it's I think it's a
- 22:19Speaker 5: different feel Like I didn't really go into.
- 22:21Speaker 3: It like that.
- 22:21Speaker 5: I I did what I wanted to do the entire time,
- 22:25Speaker 5: and I.
- 22:26Speaker 4: Was selfish, but in a good way.
- 22:29Speaker 5: Yeah, like not even like just selfish, like just I
- 22:31Speaker 5: guess maybe selfish, Yeah, maybe that's not the right word. Yeah,
- 22:35Speaker 5: but I just I put like the interest of what
- 22:38Speaker 5: the group that I was with that I was fighting
- 22:40Speaker 5: with first, and like if anything tried to attack that,
- 22:43Speaker 5: I was going to put a stop to it immediately.
- 22:45Speaker 5: And and maybe didn't do that so much on The Bachelor,
- 22:48Speaker 5: just maybe from experience and not really you know, no
- 22:51Speaker 5: one knows what they're doing when they do that experience.
- 22:52Speaker 5: But yeah, I would say I would say The Bachelor
- 22:55Speaker 5: was probably more difficult in that way and kind of
- 22:57Speaker 5: more more testing.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Like on the Bachelor, you're just like focus on love
- 23:02Speaker 4: and relationships. It's not like all about you.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Right, all right, Well, Peter, thank you so much for
