  Speaker 1: Hello and welcome.
• 0:14
Speaker 2: Hi. This is my favorite intro music of all time.
• 0:18
  Speaker 1: Just us beatboxing.
• 0:19
Speaker 2: Oh my god, I hope those dance musics line up.
• 0:21
Speaker 1: I hope so. That's actually, I'm going to submit that
• 0:23
Speaker 1: as the new theme music. Welcome to the Mic Drop
• 0:26
  Speaker 1: Comedy Podcast.
• 0:27
  Speaker 2: Hello.
• 0:28
Speaker 1: This is the Chandler edition. We are here live day two.
• 0:31
Speaker 1: At the Big Pine Comedy Festival. How are you feeling?
• 0:33
  Speaker 2: I'm feeling tired.
• 0:35
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 0:35
Speaker 2: But I'm here, ready for some chuckles. I'm doing good.
• 0:39
Speaker 1: How are you? We're here, we're sweaty.
• 0:40
Speaker 2: Am I allowed to ask that? I don't know how
• 0:41
  Speaker 2: this interview works.
• 0:42
  Speaker 1: No one does.
• 0:43
Speaker 2: No one does. How are you? How's Sari?
• 0:45
Speaker 1: I'm warm. I'm schvitzing. I took this off. But happy
• 0:48
Speaker 1: to be here. Great festival.
• 0:51
  Speaker 2: Nice.
• 0:52
Speaker 1: Always a good time. Cool. And I'm excited to see
• 0:54
Speaker 1: some more comedy tonight. Yeah. I saw some good shows
• 0:57
Speaker 1: out here. We're in the garden right now, which is
• 0:59
Speaker 1: why we're so toasty. But I saw some really good comics.
• 1:03
Speaker 1: Some people I hadn't seen. And I love it.
• 1:05
Speaker 2: And we have Spelling Bee out here tonight, which is
• 1:07
  Speaker 2: a local show.
• 1:08
Speaker 1: Spelling Bee is a great show. I love that one.
• 1:11
Speaker 1: Are you on the show this weekend?
• 1:13
Speaker 2: No, I'm just... It's lonely at home. So I'm here
• 1:17
  Speaker 2: with my friends.
• 1:18
Speaker 1: I don't know if I properly introduced you. Do you want.
• 1:21
Speaker 2: To tell the people who you are? Yeah. Hi, people.
• 1:23
Speaker 2: I'm Anthony Thornton. I am the support booker here at
• 1:28
Speaker 2: Mic Drop Chandler, and I am also a comedian and
• 1:33
  Speaker 2: co-producer of Wunderlust.
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: Yes.
• 1:36
Speaker 2: A lot of other comics. I don't like to sit still,
• 1:39
Speaker 2: is what I do. Yes.
• 1:41
Speaker 1: Okay. Can you explain Wunderlust for people if they have
• 1:44
Speaker 1: not been to it and they're Horrible people missing out.
• 1:47
Speaker 2: So, Wanderlust is a hybrid show. Me and my girlfriend
• 1:52
Speaker 2: run together. She is a professional burlesque dancer. Love her.
• 1:55
  Speaker 1: Big fan.
• 1:55
Speaker 2: I am a struggling comedian. So, together, we've hired some
• 2:02
Speaker 2: dancers to come do burlesque, and we have comics who
• 2:05
Speaker 2: will be doing stand-up in between. Yes. We also have
• 2:08
  Speaker 2: some pole dancers.
• 2:09
Speaker 1: It's an amazing show.
• 2:11
  Speaker 2: It is.
• 2:11
Speaker 1: For people, if you live in Chandler or if you're
• 2:14
Speaker 1: in town for... Big Pine. By the time this comes out.
• 2:18
Speaker 2: I made my debut performance as a burlesque performer last
• 2:23
Speaker 2: time and made $ 238 in tips. That's amazing. So I
• 2:27
Speaker 2: am no longer a comedian. I'm just a silly, sexy boy.
• 2:32
Speaker 1: That's really good cleanup. Yeah.
• 2:34
Speaker 2: I've never made that much.
• 2:36
Speaker 1: I felt very proud when I got to do the show.
• 2:38
Speaker 2: You twerked on the wall.
• 2:39
Speaker 1: I twerked on the wall. This is true.
• 2:41
  Speaker 2: Great.
• 2:41
Speaker 1: And I think I walked away with like 70 bucks.
• 2:43
  Speaker 2: Nice.
• 2:43
Speaker 1: And I was thrilled. Great. I was very happy. I
• 2:47
Speaker 1: don't know if anyone has twerked on the wall before
• 2:49
  Speaker 1: or since then.
• 2:50
Speaker 2: Not with a handstand.
• 2:52
Speaker 1: Oh, they've twerked on the wall in other ways?
• 2:53
Speaker 2: I mean, Ashley just kind of put her hand on
• 2:55
Speaker 2: the wall and then gave one pop. It was a
• 2:57
  Speaker 2: half-hearted twerk.
• 2:58
Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I put my whole ass into it. Anything
• 3:02
Speaker 1: I do, I do it whole ass. So can you
• 3:06
Speaker 1: tell us about your co-host for Wanderlust?
• 3:08
Speaker 2: Yes, she does a majority of the work.
• 3:12
Speaker 1: And what is her name?
• 3:13
Speaker 2: Her name is Rebella Risque.
• 3:15
Speaker 1: You're being so coy with her name.
• 3:17
  Speaker 2: I did look.
• 3:17
Speaker 1: You have to earn it, people that I don't know.
• 3:20
Speaker 2: Are out there. Rebella Risque, she is a very talented
• 3:24
Speaker 2: burlesque performer and teacher. She actually won... Arizona's Producer of
• 3:29
Speaker 2: the Year for 2025 because of this show.
• 3:32
  Speaker 1: She is fantastic.
• 3:33
Speaker 2: Yeah, and she's the reason I have a roof over
• 3:35
  Speaker 2: my head.
• 3:36
Speaker 1: She is wonderful. And I love, too, that she is
• 3:38
  Speaker 1: a teacher because I feel like she's also a good
• 3:40
Speaker 1: role model in the scene, too. Not only an amazing performer.
• 3:44
  Speaker 1: I feel like she's.
• 3:47
Speaker 2: My favorite thing is anywhere I go, people always ask me,
• 3:50
Speaker 2: why is Rebella not here? And that hurts. I do feel.
• 3:54
Speaker 1: Bad often when I see you, but that's usually because
• 3:56
Speaker 1: I'm bringing her makeup or costume pieces. We just trade
• 4:00
Speaker 1: little gems and jewels.
• 4:03
Speaker 2: I know who the likable one in our house is.
• 4:06
Speaker 1: She's a doll, but I feel like together, you guys
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: doing Wanderlust is.
• 4:09
  Speaker 2: It's a lot of fun. Chef's Kiss.
• 4:10
Speaker 1: It's an amazing show.
• 4:11
Speaker 2: A lot of anxiety beforehand. Currently in it. Hopefully we
• 4:14
Speaker 2: sell out. We typically do.
• 4:16
Speaker 1: So the next one is coming up in a few days.
• 4:19
  Speaker 2: Sunday.
• 4:20
Speaker 1: Is it part of the festival?
• 4:21
  Speaker 2: It is not.
• 4:22
Speaker 1: But we're hoping maybe some folks that are still in town.
• 4:24
Speaker 2: Yeah. Any important people who want to come and give
• 4:27
Speaker 2: me their money are more than welcome to be here.
• 4:29
Speaker 1: Make sure you have your dollar bills ready. Yes. Yes.
• 4:31
Speaker 2: I'll dance again if they show up.
• 4:33
Speaker 1: And you guys do the show, like, quarterly? Is that
• 4:35
  Speaker 1: kind of?
• 4:36
Speaker 2: Yeah, every three months because it's a very expensive show
• 4:39
Speaker 2: to produce and a lot of moving parts to it.
• 4:42
Speaker 2: And we're also performers ourselves.
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: Yes.
• 4:45
Speaker 2: We want to work.
• 4:46
Speaker 1: Do you have any big dreams for that show of, like?
• 4:49
Speaker 1: Have you ever taken it on the road?
• 4:51
Speaker 2: We are going to San Diego mic drop in June.
• 4:55
  Speaker 1: Oh, hell yeah.
• 4:56
Speaker 2: It'll be the first time that we travel the show.
• 4:58
Speaker 2: So that's another bag of anxiety to market in a
• 5:03
Speaker 2: new place. And yeah, we have gone to like Vegas
• 5:09
Speaker 2: just like on a vacation and saw like stages and
• 5:12
Speaker 2: we're like, it'd be great right here. That's a pipe dream.
• 5:14
  Speaker 2: But one day.
• 5:16
Speaker 1: I think I sent you something for a festival of, like,
• 5:18
  Speaker 1: just an idea.
• 5:19
Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, you did.
• 5:20
Speaker 1: This would be crazy. But what do you think about bringing...
• 5:24
Speaker 1: You guys can bring your own poles. Bring all your
• 5:27
  Speaker 1: costume pieces.
• 5:28
Speaker 2: If it wasn't such a big production, like, I'll be
• 5:30
Speaker 2: here at 9.30 a.m. on Sunday to tech and prep
• 5:34
  Speaker 2: for a 1 p.m. show.
• 5:36
Speaker 1: And I imagine that the... I was going to say girls.
• 5:40
Speaker 1: Is it all... Maybe there are some... non-girls non-binary people
• 5:44
Speaker 1: in the show but i was the dancers the burlesque
• 5:46
Speaker 1: people we might have some non-binary they're they're not like
• 5:50
Speaker 1: comics that just show up uh looking haggard and crazy
• 5:53
Speaker 1: they no they look amazing like the full hair makeup
• 5:56
Speaker 1: all out of my league lesbians for the most part
• 5:59
Speaker 1: they're uh gorgeous yes.
• 6:01
Speaker 2: Yes beautiful beautiful talented performers.
• 6:03
Speaker 1: Yeah That is very cool that it's going to be
• 6:06
Speaker 1: at Mic Drop San Diego. I'm excited for you.
• 6:09
Speaker 2: I'm very excited. It also gives me a reason to
• 6:10
Speaker 2: just have a vacation in San Diego again.
• 6:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, and write it off on your taxes.
• 6:13
Speaker 2: Go to Legoland. Here we go. Again? I haven't been
• 6:16
  Speaker 2: to Legoland.
• 6:17
Speaker 1: Oh, you guys are Disney fans, right?
• 6:19
Speaker 2: Yeah, we're going to Disney. That's on Monday.
• 6:21
Speaker 1: Okay, I was going to say, when was the last
• 6:22
Speaker 1: time that's with all of the money you're going to
• 6:25
Speaker 1: be raking in from Wanderlust?
• 6:28
Speaker 2: No, that's from my bonus from my day job.
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: Oh, shit.
• 6:32
Speaker 2: Okay. And mostly her money. It's all her money. I
• 6:36
Speaker 2: get to buy a couple like churros. But I'll be there. Okay.
• 6:40
  Speaker 2: I'm going to buy myself a lightsaber. That's 100% happening.
• 6:42
Speaker 2: You deserve it, Anthony. Yeah, I'm saying.
• 6:44
Speaker 1: You deserve it. You work hard.
• 6:45
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 6:46
Speaker 1: Another thing you do here at Mic Drop in Chandler
• 6:49
Speaker 1: is host the open mic. I do. Which you deserve
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: all the lightsabers.
• 6:53
Speaker 2: In the world for that.
• 6:54
Speaker 1: Can you tell us how long have you been doing that?
• 6:56
Speaker 2: Too long. Too long.
• 6:58
Speaker 1: No. Just a tear forming. No. That's a real labor
• 7:03
  Speaker 1: of love.
• 7:04
Speaker 2: It is. I do love this community. And some people
• 7:09
Speaker 2: out here, they do be trying their best. But it's
• 7:13
Speaker 2: good to see. It's fun watching the start of a joke.
• 7:17
Speaker 2: And we actually get normies who will come out and
• 7:19
Speaker 2: watch us fail, which is an added bonus.
• 7:21
Speaker 1: I'm always amazed when there are normies, when we get
• 7:24
  Speaker 1: non-comics coming to.
• 7:25
Speaker 2: We'll have people sit here all night. It's a three-hour mic. Yeah,
• 7:27
Speaker 2: and they're having a good time, too. Yeah, and they're like, yeah,
• 7:30
Speaker 2: keep telling racist things. You're not gay, but it would
• 7:34
Speaker 2: be funny. You're right.
• 7:36
Speaker 1: If there are any normies listening, when is the open mic?
• 7:40
Speaker 2: Thursdays. Every Thursday at 7. And if people want.
• 7:45
Speaker 1: To sign up and tell they're not racist jokes, please.
• 7:49
Speaker 1: You can get here, what, like 6.30?
• 7:50
Speaker 2: I mean, if you get here at 6.30, the list
• 7:53
Speaker 2: is going to be deep. So it drops at 6.00.
• 7:56
Speaker 2: I'd get here around that.
• 7:57
Speaker 1: Yeah, so if there's any aspiring comics, any new babies
• 8:01
Speaker 1: that are like, I want to do comedy, everybody tells
• 8:04
Speaker 1: me how funny I am, they can come in, check
• 8:06
Speaker 1: out Pick Your Poison.
• 8:07
Speaker 2: Yeah, just know you're probably going to fail. But that's
• 8:10
Speaker 2: part of it. It's part of it, yeah. And the
• 8:14
Speaker 2: hardest part is just getting on stage that first time. And,
• 8:17
Speaker 2: you know, I won't make fun of you too hard
• 8:18
  Speaker 2: the first time.
• 8:19
Speaker 1: I feel like you actually are a very good host of, like,
• 8:22
Speaker 1: keeping it moving and kind of curating, like, when people
• 8:25
Speaker 1: say some out-of-pocket stuff. You're like, none of that shit, please.
• 8:29
  Speaker 2: Well, yeah.
• 8:30
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 8:30
Speaker 2: You know, we're all adults who, in theory, read. Yes.
• 8:34
Speaker 2: So being somewhat clever would be nice. And, yeah, I'm
• 8:39
Speaker 2: also looking for people to book inside on the main room.
• 8:42
Speaker 1: Yeah, I was going to say that open mics also,
• 8:45
Speaker 1: if you're starting out, is just where you meet other comics. Yes.
• 8:49
Speaker 2: Yeah, it is a huge part of it.
• 8:50
Speaker 1: And find other people that are like, hey, I'm also miserable.
• 8:52
Speaker 1: I'm driving around. And then you find out about other
• 8:54
Speaker 1: shows and things going on and other places to hang.
• 8:57
Speaker 2: That's how you get booked on stuff.
• 8:59
Speaker 1: And develop a drinking habit.
• 9:01
Speaker 2: Well, yeah. It's either drinking or drugs. Or both, if
• 9:04
Speaker 2: you're really good at this. But, yeah, you're going to
• 9:09
  Speaker 2: like beer.
• 9:10
Speaker 1: Okay. So I feel like we have a... A good
• 9:13
Speaker 1: idea of you, Anthony. You're a comic. You work here
• 9:16
Speaker 1: at the club doing support booking. You are a Disney
• 9:20
  Speaker 1: and Lego nerd.
• 9:21
  Speaker 2: I am.
• 9:22
Speaker 1: An improviser. I am. You're a man of all talents.
• 9:26
  Speaker 2: I don't sit still.
• 9:28
Speaker 1: Right. That's why we're friends. Good ADHD talents. We've both
• 9:31
Speaker 1: crossed and uncrossed our legs about 74 times. It's taking
• 9:34
Speaker 1: everything within me to not twirl my hair. If you
• 9:36
Speaker 1: notice my twirly piece, this was the drive over here.
• 9:39
Speaker 1: She's tucked away there.
• 9:40
Speaker 2: This is called the Brains Broken Podcast, right? That's what
• 9:42
Speaker 2: this is? I think so. We just talk about our
• 9:43
Speaker 2: broken brains? We do. Actually, we're going to move to...
• 9:45
  Speaker 2: Defective humans.
• 9:46
Speaker 1: We're going to move to our trivia portion.
• 9:48
Speaker 2: Okay. I like trivia.
• 9:49
  Speaker 1: Okay, good.
• 9:49
Speaker 2: Is it about trains? Because I got that.
• 9:51
Speaker 1: I don't think we have any train questions.
• 9:53
  Speaker 2: Dinosaurs?
• 9:53
Speaker 1: As always, we just direct all complaints to Carlos Rodriguez,
• 9:57
Speaker 1: who writes these questions.
• 9:59
Speaker 2: You know, I know Carlos. Rodriguez's daughter fantastic person.
• 10:03
Speaker 1: She is great she's helping produce the show this week
• 10:06
  Speaker 1: during the festival.
• 10:07
Speaker 2: One of my best friends and she's killing it oh
• 10:09
  Speaker 2: so good.
• 10:09
Speaker 1: She's been crushing it the first question for you don't
• 10:13
Speaker 1: be worried here okay I probably shouldn't look at the
• 10:14
  Speaker 1: answers I know that's why I'm like don't stress I'm
• 10:16
Speaker 1: cheating where is the Liberty Bell located Philadelphia.
• 10:21
Speaker 2: Crushed it. Nailed it.
• 10:22
Speaker 1: Great job. Great job.
• 10:23
Speaker 2: And they say public schools for losers.
• 10:26
Speaker 1: I mean, who says that?
• 10:28
  Speaker 2: I don't know.
• 10:29
Speaker 1: I think I heard them say, open up the schools.
• 10:32
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 10:32
Speaker 1: Stop banning the books. Let the children read.
• 10:36
  Speaker 2: Yeah. I feel like that's.
• 10:37
Speaker 1: My, yeah, let them read the books. Okay, so we
• 10:40
Speaker 1: get a lot of weird movie-related questions. I believe Carlos
• 10:43
Speaker 1: is a big movie guy.
• 10:45
  Speaker 2: Okay, okay.
• 10:45
Speaker 1: Question number two. Saving Private Ryan lost the Best Picture
• 10:49
Speaker 1: Oscar to which movie?
• 10:53
Speaker 2: Yeah, this one hit me hard when it happened. I
• 10:55
Speaker 2: cried for days. Do you want, like, multiple choice? Oh, please. Please, God, yes.
• 11:00
Speaker 1: Is it Good Will Hunting, Armageddon, or Shakespeare in Love? Hmm.
• 11:07
Speaker 2: Hmm. I'm going to go with Good Will Hunting.
• 11:12
Speaker 1: I am so sorry, but the answer is Shakespeare in Love.
• 11:16
Speaker 1: Please don't. Don't be too sad.
• 11:19
Speaker 2: For a theater kid to not pick the Shakespeare one,
• 11:22
Speaker 2: I think I'm going to hell.
• 11:25
Speaker 1: You were just a baby then, though. You were just
• 11:28
  Speaker 1: a youth.
• 11:28
Speaker 2: How old do you think I am?
• 11:30
Speaker 1: I was just trying to make you feel better.
• 11:31
  Speaker 2: Thank you.
• 11:32
  Speaker 1: It's like a compliment sandwich, but it's just a compliment.
• 11:35
  Speaker 2: I thought you looked like shit for a 21-year-old. You're 37?
• 11:38
  Speaker 2: That's terrible. He's just a baby.
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: It's just an open-faced compliment. It's not even a sandwich.
• 11:44
Speaker 1: I'm all about hyping up the people.
• 11:46
Speaker 2: We're doing great. I said Shakespeare in Love was my answer.
• 11:51
Speaker 2: Was that correct? Yes.
• 11:54
Speaker 1: We'll edit that out. It's doing great. Have you ever
• 11:57
Speaker 1: seen Shakespeare in Love?
• 11:58
Speaker 2: I have. I'm still a theater kid. I have seen it.
• 12:02
  Speaker 1: But it's not a musical.
• 12:03
  Speaker 2: I'm not a musical theater kid. I can't sing.
• 12:07
Speaker 1: You looked offended there.
• 12:07
Speaker 2: Okay, shit. We're going to move on to questions. I'm
• 12:10
Speaker 2: not cool enough to be gay. I'm not gay, but
• 12:12
Speaker 2: it'd be funny if I... Alright, let's move on.
• 12:15
Speaker 1: That was a good callback.
• 12:15
  Speaker 2: Thank you.
• 12:16
Speaker 1: Okay, this is a comedy-related question.
• 12:18
  Speaker 2: Here we go.
• 12:19
Speaker 1: Thank you, Carlos. Who was the first comedian to sell
• 12:21
Speaker 1: out Madison Square Garden?
• 12:24
  Speaker 2: Was it Dice?
• 12:26
Speaker 1: It was. Andrew Dice Nice. Are you a fan of
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: the Dice Man?
• 12:30
Speaker 2: What's that next trivia question? Question number four.
• 12:36
Speaker 1: Okay, this I'm really sorry. This is a sports ball question.
• 12:40
Speaker 1: Name an NFL team that has not won a Super Bowl.
• 12:44
Speaker 1: You have many to choose from. So if you think
• 12:46
Speaker 1: of a city and you think of maybe an animal
• 12:50
Speaker 1: or something that might go along with it, we could
• 12:52
Speaker 1: probably give you some points.
• 12:52
Speaker 2: I feel like I'm going to keep it local and
• 12:54
  Speaker 2: say the Cardinals.
• 12:55
Speaker 1: I feel like that's right. I'm just used to them
• 12:58
Speaker 1: being terrible. Yeah, that's true.
• 13:01
Speaker 2: Here and in St. Louis. You didn't think I knew that.
• 13:03
Speaker 1: I mean, I know that they haven't won. Well, actually,
• 13:08
Speaker 1: I'll say, I don't know if this is still true,
• 13:10
Speaker 1: but the Arizona Cardinals went on a huge losing streak
• 13:13
Speaker 1: after they hosted the Charlie Kirk Memorial. All right, we'll
• 13:19
Speaker 1: edit that part out, too.
• 13:20
Speaker 2: No, no, no. It's a great button for the end
• 13:25
Speaker 2: of the episode. Well, Anthony, it was great to meet you.
• 13:29
  Speaker 1: I just thought that was a fun fact. It's a
• 13:31
  Speaker 1: little local trivia.
• 13:32
Speaker 2: It is a fact.
• 13:34
Speaker 1: Do you have any other teams you want to guess?
• 13:36
Speaker 1: Just Parasitian and Animal, and we'll see if it matches up.
• 13:40
Speaker 2: We'll say the Cleveland Browns.
• 13:42
Speaker 1: I don't see them on here.
• 13:45
Speaker 2: Oh, no, no, no, they are. Boom, boom. See, y'all
• 13:48
Speaker 2: telling me I'm wrong. I'm totally right. Oh, shit. I'll
• 13:52
  Speaker 2: say the Jaguars.
• 13:55
  Speaker 1: Where are the.
• 13:56
  Speaker 2: Jacksonville.
• 13:57
Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh. Wait, are you secretly a... I don't... Yeah!
• 14:03
Speaker 2: Look at this. I'm so good at this.
• 14:04
Speaker 1: Are you feeding him the answers?
• 14:05
Speaker 2: I'm so good at this.
• 14:06
  Speaker 1: Zion, please.
• 14:07
Speaker 2: I'll say the Houston Texans.
• 14:09
Speaker 1: Is that a team?
• 14:11
  Speaker 2: They're still babies.
• 14:12
Speaker 1: Wait, how are you doing this?
• 14:18
Speaker 2: Oh, let's go. Yeah.
• 14:20
Speaker 1: And I'm very generous with the points, too. So you
• 14:22
Speaker 1: could just make up some shit, too. They've also never
• 14:28
Speaker 1: won the Super Bowl.
• 14:29
  Speaker 2: That's true. They haven't. That's a bonus point for sure.
• 14:33
Speaker 1: Phoenix Mercury. Maybe it's living in Arizona.
• 14:36
Speaker 2: I can't say that because then I'm an asshole if
• 14:39
Speaker 2: I say the Mercury.
• 14:40
  Speaker 1: They're good.
• 14:41
  Speaker 2: They're real good.
• 14:42
Speaker 1: They're the only one that's winning anything here. Yeah. Okay.
• 14:46
Speaker 1: Do you want to try to name any more or
• 14:48
Speaker 1: do you want to move on to some history? I
• 14:55
Speaker 1: feel like you did great.
• 14:56
Speaker 2: I did fantastic. The Chargers? Yeah. I'm impressing my guy
• 15:03
Speaker 2: over here. His face. He's like, oh, my God. This
• 15:06
Speaker 2: guy who reads comic books obviously knows football. It's all
• 15:10
Speaker 2: fantasy football. Oh, my gosh.
• 15:11
Speaker 1: I love it. All right.
• 15:15
Speaker 2: All right, cool. All right, let's move on.
• 15:16
Speaker 1: You're killing it. I think you're going to win.
• 15:17
Speaker 2: Let's move on to history.
• 15:19
Speaker 1: Name two countries that were involved in the Louisiana Purchase.
• 15:24
Speaker 1: This is a deep cut.
• 15:25
Speaker 2: I'm going to say France and America.
• 15:29
Speaker 1: Yeah, what? Your theater degree, you had to do like.
• 15:33
  Speaker 1: A history requirement?
• 15:34
Speaker 2: I read Moliere. Oh. A little Tartuffe. Oh, dang. Has
• 15:37
Speaker 2: nothing to do with the Louisiana Purchase. Wow.
• 15:40
  Speaker 1: Anthony, I'm impressed.
• 15:42
Speaker 2: Yeah, this is what gets me the ladies. I'm just like,
• 15:45
Speaker 2: did you know that France was part of the Louisiana Purchase?
• 15:47
Speaker 2: You start whispering about the Louisiana Purchase. And they're just like, oh,
• 15:49
  Speaker 2: my God.
• 15:50
Speaker 1: They're like, are you trying to get me pregnant?
• 15:51
Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Are you trying to say you have
• 15:54
Speaker 2: health insurance? I do. Okay.
• 15:57
Speaker 1: What does RICO stand for in the RICO Act? Uh...
• 16:04
Speaker 1: I did not know this one.
• 16:05
  Speaker 2: Racketeering?
• 16:06
  Speaker 1: Uh....
• 16:12
Speaker 2: And side crystals orifices. Yes! Ding, ding. What if? No,
• 16:19
Speaker 2: I don't. I just think of the Rico kid from
• 16:23
  Speaker 2: Hannah Montana now.
• 16:25
Speaker 1: I was thinking Uncle Rico.
• 16:26
Speaker 2: Uncle Rico, yeah. You're right. He can throw football over
• 16:29
Speaker 2: the mountains. What does the rest of that? I'm going
• 16:32
Speaker 2: to plead the fifth on this one.
• 16:33
  Speaker 1: You got racketeer.
• 16:34
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. Yeah, and then I felt like I was
• 16:36
Speaker 2: incriminating myself if I went any further.
• 16:38
Speaker 1: Oh, that's good stuff. Racketeer-influenced and corrupt organizations. Oh. So
• 16:43
  Speaker 1: that's our government.
• 16:45
Speaker 2: I would have got there at some point.
• 16:47
  Speaker 1: That's impressive, though.
• 16:48
Speaker 2: I know those words. Yeah. Okay.
• 16:51
Speaker 1: This is a fun one. I feel like my mom
• 16:53
Speaker 1: would notice this one. Who is the current host of
• 16:56
  Speaker 1: Wheel of Fortune?
• 16:57
Speaker 2: Oh, Drew Carey? Is that still him?
• 17:00
  Speaker 1: No?
• 17:01
  Speaker 2: No.
• 17:01
Speaker 1: He hosts a different show.
• 17:02
Speaker 2: Oh, it is. Oh, Wheel of Fortune.
• 17:05
Speaker 1: Another banger of a show.
• 17:07
  Speaker 2: I'm sorry. You remember I'm a terrible-looking 21-year-old. I'm not
• 17:11
Speaker 2: at home watching this stuff. You've been crushing it. I
• 17:14
Speaker 2: don't know who does Wheel of Fortune.
• 17:15
Speaker 1: I'll give you a hint. He got his start, I believe,
• 17:18
  Speaker 1: reality TV.
• 17:21
  Speaker 2: Theo Vaughn.
• 17:23
  Speaker 1: Sorry.
• 17:24
  Speaker 2: That's nice.
• 17:25
Speaker 1: The answer is Joe Rogan.
• 17:27
Speaker 2: So close. They're one in the same.
• 17:30
Speaker 1: Can you imagine, though?
• 17:32
Speaker 2: Have you seen them in the same room? Probably. Actually,
• 17:36
  Speaker 2: a lot.
• 17:36
  Speaker 1: That's a good conspiracy.
• 17:38
  Speaker 2: Probably.
• 17:38
Speaker 1: Okay, the answer, Ryan Seacrest.
• 17:41
  Speaker 2: Oh.
• 17:41
  Speaker 1: I didn't know this. I don't watch a lot of
• 17:43
Speaker 1: Wheel of Fortune. I feel like you need to be
• 17:45
Speaker 1: in a waiting room a lot of times from school.
• 17:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, I always forget that he's just like a free
• 17:50
Speaker 2: space on a bingo card. You can just say his
• 17:52
Speaker 2: name and most of the time it'll be right.
• 17:53
  Speaker 1: I didn't know he was still around. I mean, I
• 17:55
Speaker 1: know he was alive, but.
• 17:57
Speaker 2: I didn't. But I'm happy to hear that he is. Yeah.
• 18:01
  Speaker 2: He's my American.
• 18:02
  Speaker 1: God bless.
• 18:02
Speaker 2: That's the one he started on, yeah. He kicked the
• 18:04
Speaker 2: other dude off. Wasn't there two guys that started? Yeah,
• 18:06
  Speaker 2: there were.
• 18:07
Speaker 1: It was like a Destiny's Child kind of situation.
• 18:09
Speaker 2: Oh, that's right. He's our Beyonce. Yeah, he is the Beyonce.
• 18:13
Speaker 1: Which state was the first to secede the United States
• 18:16
Speaker 1: to form the Confederacy? Another banger. We have the producers
• 18:22
Speaker 1: laughing in the corner.
• 18:23
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. This is a comforting one to talk about.
• 18:27
Speaker 1: And Was it Louisiana, South Carolina, or Tennessee?
• 18:39
Speaker 2: I'm going to go with South Carolina.
• 18:41
Speaker 1: Oh, another winner. Another winner.
• 18:43
Speaker 2: Great job. I know my race estates. I know my
• 18:45
  Speaker 2: race estates.
• 18:47
Speaker 1: We are live at Big Pine Comedy in Arizona.
• 18:49
Speaker 2: Oh, we're live. We're live. South Carolina, I love you.
• 18:52
Speaker 2: Another race estate. Y'all have gotten better.
• 18:55
Speaker 1: Hey, but good news from our race estate. We don't
• 18:58
Speaker 1: have the Charlie Kirk Highway. I don't know if you
• 18:59
Speaker 1: heard the news yesterday. The governor voted it down. So
• 19:01
Speaker 1: just to circle back on the Charlie Kirk updates. I'm
• 19:05
Speaker 1: getting word in my ear.
• 19:06
Speaker 2: I'm getting a dot on my shirt. Oh, no. Okay.
• 19:13
Speaker 2: Prove me wrong. Okay, we're live. This is inappropriate.
• 19:16
Speaker 1: All right, we're going to shift gears. Let's take a
• 19:18
Speaker 1: somber moment. Can you please name the song that Eric
• 19:21
Speaker 1: Clapton wrote for his son that passed away?
• 19:24
Speaker 2: Oh, it's the, when I see you in heaven.
• 19:29
Speaker 1: Yeah. Do you want to sing it a little bit?
• 19:30
Speaker 2: No, no, not at all. Not at all. I'd rather, no.
• 19:34
  Speaker 1: Yeah. It is.
• 19:36
  Speaker 2: Tears in heaven.
• 19:37
  Speaker 1: Tears in heaven.
• 19:38
Speaker 2: We'll give you points for that.
• 19:39
Speaker 1: I feel like that is close enough.
• 19:41
Speaker 2: I knew it was something in heaven.
• 19:42
Speaker 1: It's about his son that fell out of a window.
• 19:48
  Speaker 1: I didn't.
• 19:50
  Speaker 2: Need more detail.
• 19:51
Speaker 1: I mean, he came out years later as anti-vax. I'm like,
• 19:55
Speaker 1: do you really know about keeping children alive, sir?
• 19:57
Speaker 2: I like that you say that. It's like, so kind
• 20:00
Speaker 2: of deserved it. If you think about it.
• 20:02
Speaker 1: No, it's more just like, are you really the authority
• 20:05
Speaker 1: on children's safety, sir? Okay. Okay. Final Jeopardy question number 10.
• 20:09
Speaker 1: We're wrapping this up because it's 143 degrees out. Who
• 20:13
Speaker 1: was the first Latino NFL head coach and quarterback to
• 20:17
Speaker 1: win two Super Bowls? I don't know enough teams or
• 20:22
Speaker 1: players to offer you multiple choice. So if you want
• 20:25
Speaker 1: to phone a friend.
• 20:28
Speaker 2: The first Latino. I'm going to be honest. I thought.
• 20:37
Speaker 2: I thought they just made him in black and white. Damn. Okay. Pass. Okay. See,
• 20:46
Speaker 2: this is bad. I'm half Mexican. I should know this.
• 20:49
  Speaker 1: Okay.
• 20:49
Speaker 2: These are my people, but I don't.
• 20:51
Speaker 1: I was going to say.
• 20:52
Speaker 2: Joe Montana. Let's go. No. Is it really? Troy Aikman.
• 20:57
Speaker 2: Isn't he super white?
• 20:58
Speaker 1: Isn't Joe Montana very white?
• 21:00
Speaker 2: Both of those are very white. Very, very white people.
• 21:02
  Speaker 1: I don't know if. I know basketball.
• 21:04
Speaker 2: Tom Brady. Tom Brady's so good, he could be all
• 21:07
Speaker 2: the races, all at once.
• 21:09
Speaker 1: I don't know if we can do fractions of points.
• 21:10
Speaker 1: I'd give you like. 25 because the first name Tom
• 21:13
Speaker 1: is one of them. Tom Flores and Jim Plunkett of
• 21:16
  Speaker 1: the Raiders.
• 21:17
Speaker 2: Oh, that's not fair. The Raiders aren't even a professional team.
• 21:22
Speaker 2: What's up, Raider Nation? I love you live.
• 21:26
Speaker 1: We're going to wrap this up. So, Raider Nation, feel
• 21:28
Speaker 1: free to tag us.
• 21:30
Speaker 2: Go ahead and get rid of my tag on there.
• 21:31
Speaker 1: Tag Anthony. Come after him.
• 21:33
Speaker 2: Give us a boost. I'm a small boy. He is.
• 21:36
Speaker 1: Small and quick. You seem like you'd be quick.
• 21:38
Speaker 2: I got my running shoes on today. Yeah, I can tell.
• 21:40
Speaker 2: Because I know I was going to talk shit to
• 21:41
  Speaker 2: Raider Nation, apparently.
• 21:43
Speaker 1: Every day. He's online talking shit and starting fights.
• 21:45
Speaker 2: Coming to Vegas, y'all.
• 21:47
Speaker 1: If people want to follow you on social media and
• 21:50
Speaker 1: see what you're up to, what's the best way for
• 21:52
Speaker 1: them to do that?
• 21:53
Speaker 2: They should just hit the follow button.
• 21:55
  Speaker 1: Okay.
• 21:56
Speaker 2: On social media. It's crazy. Comic underscore Anthony.
• 22:00
Speaker 1: Yeah, you see it right there if you're watching. If
• 22:02
Speaker 1: you're listening with your ear balls.
• 22:04
Speaker 2: I've always wanted to do this. It looks cool when
• 22:06
Speaker 2: they do it. Right here?
• 22:08
Speaker 1: It's right about there. Comic underscore Anthony. And please be
• 22:12
Speaker 1: sure to check out their show, Wanderlust. It is so
• 22:14
Speaker 1: great with his beautiful partner, Rebella Risque. It's a lot
• 22:18
Speaker 1: of fun. It's also going to be at Mic Drop
• 22:20
Speaker 1: San Diego. So if you are not in Chandler and
• 22:22
Speaker 1: you happen to be in San Diego... Do yourself a favor.
• 22:26
Speaker 1: Take like $ 50 out in singles and go check out
• 22:29
  Speaker 1: the show.
• 22:29
Speaker 2: Do yourself a bigger favor and take out like $ 150.
• 22:32
Speaker 2: It doesn't have to be in singles. You can do
• 22:35
Speaker 2: it in big bills. Just hand it directly to me,
• 22:37
Speaker 2: and I'll put it in the safe spot.
• 22:38
Speaker 1: Sure, gas might be $ 5 a gallon, but carpool. Yeah,
• 22:42
  Speaker 1: come on.
• 22:42
  Speaker 2: Get away, Moe.
• 22:46
  Speaker 1: Are Waymo's cheaper?
• 22:46
Speaker 2: I don't know. Okay. They scare me.
• 22:49
Speaker 1: Anthony, it's been a lot of fun having you on
• 22:50
  Speaker 1: the podcast.
• 22:51
  Speaker 2: This was delightful.
• 22:52
Speaker 1: Thanks, guys. Thank you for having me. We'll see you
• 22:54
  Speaker 1: next time.
• 22:55
  Speaker 2: Bye.
• 22:55
  Speaker 1: Bye.
• 22:55
  Speaker 2: Bye.
• 22:55
  Speaker 1: Bye.
• 22:56
  Speaker 2: Bye.
