- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody
- 0:06Speaker 1: you're listening to the voice, come on, dig me now.
- 0:10Speaker 1: One and only Steve Harvey got a radio show, Yeah,
- 0:13Speaker 1: I got one. And I got a message for you
- 0:17Speaker 1: today too, something I was thinking about that might help
- 0:20Speaker 1: you along the way. The thing I appreciate about so
- 0:23Speaker 1: many people that I learned from Bishop Jakes, Kenneth Olmer,
- 0:28Speaker 1: Donnie McClerkin, Kirk Franklin, Joel Oldstein. I can't tell you,
- 0:34Speaker 1: and many more than that. I mean, you know I'm
- 0:37Speaker 1: naming you know, famous people because I know you know
- 0:41Speaker 1: these names. But my father, who you never met, was
- 0:47Speaker 1: so great in my development as a man. But my
- 0:50Speaker 1: mother thought have mercy. My mother, she taught me about faith.
- 0:55Speaker 1: She gave me the things I needed to know about.
- 0:59Speaker 1: What I speak about every day. That basis was given
- 1:02Speaker 1: to me by hers. So it's so many great people.
- 1:04Speaker 1: But here's the thing that I've had to learn, and
- 1:08Speaker 1: that is that if God got you through it.
- 1:12Speaker 2: It's done. Move on.
- 1:14Speaker 1: See, I can't tell you how many people don't really
- 1:17Speaker 1: pay attention to that close enough.
- 1:20Speaker 2: If God got you through it, it's done. Move on.
- 1:26Speaker 1: How many times have we as people allowed God to
- 1:31Speaker 1: get us through something, get us beyond something, get us
- 1:35Speaker 1: over something, get us through something, and then even after
- 1:39Speaker 1: its completion, we sit there and we dwell on it,
- 1:43Speaker 1: and we dwell on it to the point where it
- 1:46Speaker 1: becomes an anchor around our neck and we can't move on.
- 1:50Speaker 1: We can't move on because we just won't let it go.
- 1:56Speaker 1: It's done. If God got you through it, it's done.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Move on. Stop harboring on the past.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Stop hanging on to every time you fail, Stop hanging
- 2:09Speaker 1: on to every time you slipped up and messed up.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Stop hanging on to every time you didn't get it right.
- 2:15Speaker 1: So what everybody makes mistakes, Everybody messes up, Everybody don't
- 2:21Speaker 1: get it right.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Everybody's struggling with something.
- 2:26Speaker 1: You ain't the only one, but my God, Man, if
- 2:31Speaker 1: God got you through it, it's done.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Move on.
- 2:36Speaker 1: You hanging on to it for it. That's why he
- 2:38Speaker 1: got it, got you through it, so you can move
- 2:40Speaker 1: on from it. See a lot of things that happened
- 2:44Speaker 1: to us that we think are negative or bad experience.
- 2:48Speaker 1: These are lessons and what not to do. This is
- 2:53Speaker 1: a way to have a now, a bearing on. Look
- 2:55Speaker 1: out for it. The next time you got me once
- 2:59Speaker 1: you can't get me again. I'm telling you, man, if
- 3:03Speaker 1: God got you through it, it's done.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Move on.
- 3:07Speaker 1: You have got to move on. I use this analogy
- 3:10Speaker 1: all the time. I'm gonna add a little bit to it.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Bishop Jakes told me you cannot drive your car looking
- 3:20Speaker 1: in the rear view mirror. See. You know what your
- 3:24Speaker 1: rearview mirror is actually for in your car. Your rear
- 3:28Speaker 1: view mirror is designed. After I pass a car and
- 3:33Speaker 1: I want to merge into that lane, or I want
- 3:37Speaker 1: to make another move, I look up in the rear
- 3:40Speaker 1: view mirror, and all I use it for it shows
- 3:44Speaker 1: me that I've gotten past it. I've gotten past the
- 3:48Speaker 1: vehicle I was passing, and I got enough room now
- 3:51Speaker 1: clear to make my next move. That's what I use
- 3:55Speaker 1: my rearview mirror for. I use my rear view mirror
- 3:58Speaker 1: to just glance up every now and then to see
- 4:01Speaker 1: what's coming up on me.
- 4:03Speaker 2: That's all I use it for. Listen to me real
- 4:06Speaker 2: close now.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Your rearview mirror on your car is after you passing something,
- 4:13Speaker 1: or you're passing by something, you can look up in
- 4:16Speaker 1: the rear view mirror and it lets you know you're pasted.
- 4:19Speaker 1: It you're beyond it.
- 4:21Speaker 2: It's clear. Now it's in the past.
- 4:24Speaker 1: You no longer have to deal with it as the
- 4:27Speaker 1: car that was in front of you blocking your way.
- 4:31Speaker 1: You have passed it. You look up in the mirror,
- 4:34Speaker 1: you've cleared it. Now if you on a switch lanes
- 4:38Speaker 1: could slide on over, you got room. But that rearview
- 4:42Speaker 1: mirror also lets you see if anything is coming up
- 4:45Speaker 1: on you, and you just need to glance because if
- 4:47Speaker 1: you moving forward and a whole lot can come up
- 4:51Speaker 1: on you, you just glancing every now and then, and
- 4:54Speaker 1: it reminds you that you got through something and you
- 4:57Speaker 1: got beyond something. That's what the realview mirror for. Or
- 5:00Speaker 1: now let's talk about that windshield. Why you think that
- 5:04Speaker 1: windshields so big on your car. That's the biggest window
- 5:09Speaker 1: on your car. You know why the wind shield so
- 5:12Speaker 1: big because it's where you're going. Because even the automobile
- 5:19Speaker 1: makers want you to have a wide view of where
- 5:22Speaker 1: you're going so you can see what's up ahead. They
- 5:26Speaker 1: put lights on the card night so you can have
- 5:28Speaker 1: night vision and see what's up ahead. But you can uh,
- 5:33Speaker 1: oh man, oh see not why is that?
- 5:35Speaker 2: Look? Think about that now before I move forward? With
- 5:38Speaker 2: this one.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Think about that windshield, man, why is that wind shield
- 5:42Speaker 1: so big so you can see where you're going. It's
- 5:45Speaker 1: way more important where you're going than where you're being.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Don't you see that.
- 5:51Speaker 1: That's why the rear view mirror is so small, because
- 5:54Speaker 1: it is nowhere near as important as it is as
- 5:57Speaker 1: to where you're going. While you being just allows you
- 6:00Speaker 1: to take a glance so you can make sure you
- 6:02Speaker 1: cleared it, so you can see if it's room enough
- 6:05Speaker 1: for you to make your next move, so you can
- 6:07Speaker 1: know that you've gone through it and go ahead on
- 6:09Speaker 1: about your business. But that windshield, that windshield is for vision.
- 6:15Speaker 1: A man without a dream of vision shall perish. That
- 6:17Speaker 1: windshield is for somebody going somewhere. That windshielding for somebody
- 6:22Speaker 1: up there trying to make another move. I'm gonna go right,
- 6:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna left, I'm gonna get off on this exit.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna take this detail. I'm gonna handle this sign.
- 6:29Speaker 1: There's a new route. There's only so many miles left
- 6:32Speaker 1: to go. That's what the windshield got. Let me tell
- 6:35Speaker 1: you something, man, when you see a mile sign, you're
- 6:37Speaker 1: driving on the freeway, you're on the interstate, and you
- 6:40Speaker 1: Let's say you driving to a particular city and you
- 6:42Speaker 1: see a sign that says that city is thirty eight
- 6:46Speaker 1: or one hundred and thirty eight miles away. That lets
- 6:49Speaker 1: you know where you're going, and you're on the right
- 6:51Speaker 1: path now. If you keep looking in the rear view mirror,
- 6:55Speaker 1: you'll never know how close you are because you're driving
- 7:02Speaker 1: your car looking in the rear view mirror. You all
- 7:04Speaker 1: on the shoulder, You hear them rocks up under your car.
- 7:06Speaker 1: You just scared yourself to death because you know why,
- 7:09Speaker 1: because you keep looking in the rear view mirror. Get
- 7:13Speaker 1: out the rear view mirror. If God got you through it,
- 7:15Speaker 1: it's done.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Move on. So what he don't love you no more?
- 7:20Speaker 2: And man, let's move on. If God got you through it,
- 7:24Speaker 2: it's done. Move on. God got something for you.
- 7:28Speaker 1: If you get out your rearview mirror and get up
- 7:31Speaker 1: in that wind shield, God's got something for you up ahead.
- 7:34Speaker 1: But you can't see what's up ahead because you in
- 7:37Speaker 1: that rearview mirror. If God got you through it, it's done.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Let's move on. Come on, y'all, don't let the pass
- 7:44Speaker 1: beat you up. That's the ingredients in the cake. You
- 7:47Speaker 1: done made that already, that's done. Let's go God, look
- 7:50Speaker 1: in the windshield, see what God marbably got.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Something new for you.
- 7:54Speaker 1: If you get out the rearview mirror and look, open
- 7:56Speaker 1: up your eyes and see.
- 7:57Speaker 2: All right, let's go today to the Steve Harvey Morning
- 8:01Speaker 2: Show
