- 3:39Details of all available options at support dot Great Detectives dot net or we
- 3:44got a little long winded on the intro, but here now is the Gene
- 3:49Maxwell matter on yours truly, Johnny Dowler, Don lund As, Johnny Doller,
- 4:00We're ready on your call to Boston ahead. Hello, Yeah, that
- 4:06miss to Semthin. Yes, I don't believe I remember Humanstellar. Well,
- 4:10we've never met. Your company hired me here in Hartford to investigate the Jeane
- 4:14Maxwell the well they probably will. I called you to find out the name
- 4:20of the officer in charge of the case. I could a lieutenant de Rosa
- 4:26de Rosa had you happen to know what their theory is, if any here
- 4:30is, I don't think they've arrived in theory. They'll are tossed up between
- 4:34murder and suicide. Huh okay, mister Septhing, I'll be in touch.
- 4:44You know, many great men have attained the highest office in our land,
- 4:46the presidency of the United States. Can you guess the name of this man?
- 4:53During his fifty years of public service, he held almost every office the
- 4:57public would give him. He was born in Virginia in seventeen fifty eight,
- 5:02and at the age of eighteen when he left college to enter the army,
- 5:06his formal schooling ended. As president, his cabinet boasted the names of such
- 5:12distinguished Americans as John Quincy Adams and John C. Calhoun. When he was
- 5:17re elected in eighteen twenty, he carried every state in the Union and won
- 5:23every electoral vote except one, which was cast for John Quincy Adams. If
- 5:28you don't have his name by now here are two more clues. During his
- 5:32presidency, the first public high school was started, and the first teamship crossed
- 5:38the Atlantic. Who was he? James Monroe, fifth President of the United
- 5:43States. His life is part of your American heritage. Expense accounts submitted by
- 6:02special investigator Johnny Daughter to Home Office Corinthian Life Insurance Company, Hartford, Connecticut.
- 6:10The following is an accounting of expenditures during my investigation of the Gene Maxwell
- 6:15matter. Expense account out of one seventy five cents phone calls or Boston advising
- 6:24your manager there of my assignment item two twenty eight dollars car rental and mileage
- 6:30from my Hartford apartment to police headquarters Boston. What's the matter? Dollar?
- 6:41Don't you tustany? Oh? Sure I do, Lieutenant. But these insurance
- 6:45people get uneasy when there's a choice between suicide and murder, unless the murder
- 6:49motive is the policy. And you don't think there's a chance of that,
- 6:54well, I wouldn't say definitely not. The Maxwell girl made her mother her
- 6:58beneficiary and her mother's as in the rest home. Did you know the mother
- 7:02has taken up with an old plane. No, I didn't go to see
- 7:06her a couple three times a week. Craziest things have happened that I'll get
- 7:11filed. Let's sit down. This is all we've got so far appending Corner's
- 7:23inquest, and I'll talk to report. Here's a photo of where she was
- 7:27found, Shallow waters. That's the bridge. Yes, she was lying right
- 7:33about there, but I don't think you have to worry about suicide dollar.
- 7:36As far as I'm concerned, it wasn't. Yeah, I'll buy that too.
- 7:41I wouldn't say this bridge is a suicide type too low. Yes,
- 7:45And there's another thing. I've been on the force for more years than I
- 7:47like to count, and I've run into my share of suicide. I've never
- 7:51known a woman to do it this way without taking off a cope. Oh
- 7:55usually shoot, who's too. I've learned that part of it generally accepted pattern.
- 8:00The Maxwell girl didn't fit the pattern. Here's the way she looked,
- 8:03coat on, they'lt still tied shoes, and her purse was missing. We're
- 8:09dragging a steam point. How old was she? Twenty one? She was
- 8:15a beautiful girl. How much questioning are you done, lieutenant? Not as
- 8:20much as we'll do after the inquest. Want to let the day after tomorrow?
- 8:24Do you want anything more here? No? No, thanks, lieutenant,
- 8:28I'll check with you later. I drove out to the stream where they
- 8:37found the girl's body, and there chalked up another point against her death being
- 8:43a suicide. The bridge from which she'd dropped was a good four miles from
- 8:48town. Boston had better bridges to offer within his limits. I followed the
- 8:52river bank and found the approximate spot from which the police photograph had been snapped,
- 8:58and the assumption she's been brought there in a car. The placement of
- 9:01her body in relation to the two lanes on the bridge made it look as
- 9:05if the car was going toward Boston, not away from it. Five minutes
- 9:11later, I was heading the same way, so miss Marioneen the manager suggests
- 9:31that I come up. He told me you shared this apartment with Jean Maxwell.
- 9:35Say who are you? My name is Chalar. I'm from her insurance
- 9:39company. I'd like to talk to you about her, if I could suppose
- 9:43so, But there's nothing to do now. Is the biggest shock I ever
- 9:46had. I always said it'd be trouble, but I never thought you'd do
- 9:50anything like this. Maybe she didn't. What's that supposed to be? Well,
- 9:52there are signs that say that maybe she didn't commit suicide. Do you
- 9:58think she had an any reasons? That's what I said. I ever thought
- 10:01she would sit down and say thanks. Did you say you expected trouble?
- 10:09Yeah? I kept telling him. Was the way she went like she couldn't
- 10:13live that enough fact, there wasn't enough time to get everything done. She
- 10:16didn't like that. Every since she got risk, I mean her mother went
- 10:20into that husband Jean was all tied down taking care of her before. Oh,
- 10:24what could have caused trouble? Well, I'm not saying she was wrong
- 10:26or anything, but there were too many men. Do you mind telling me
- 10:30who they are? I don't know only about one. Harold Corey. He's
- 10:33gone with her the longest. She's a big blonde truck driver. Oh Cory.
- 10:37Yeah, the drives for the Seaboard Trucking Company. Somet of times he
- 10:41was way up to the West coast. And while he was gone, you
- 10:43need didn't stay home and catch up on her reading, if you know what
- 10:45I mean. Yeah, I think I do not with a different guy almost
- 10:48every night. I didn't cry, But she's gonna tell me who they were?
- 10:52Do you think somebody showed her? Don't you? Would you help me
- 10:54try to find out what good? I well, you didn't want to cry,
- 10:58But I get paid too. I'd like to look at her things.
- 11:03I suppose it's my duty sort of business. Well, in the way it
- 11:05is, Yeah, but I can't force you to. Oh, I know
- 11:09it's the thing to do. Some brid drawers are lost, but I'll show
- 11:11you what I can. I started on the lock dress of drawers. They
- 11:22gave up an open after a brief struggle was contained on the whole things that
- 11:26might normally be locked up because of their value, imported perfume, expensive lanjurie,
- 11:33and some jewelry. The only thing that looked as if it might have
- 11:35been hidden for the sake of secrecy was under the jewel box. It was
- 11:41a gold house key with a heart shaped bowl. I never thought that before.
- 11:46I never thought a Christian before either. That's a few hundred dollars worth
- 11:50of perfume, and the rest of this stuff was Jeane used to such expensive
- 11:56things, not that I know a boss yaw coracious and shot that kind of
- 11:58money, and that had shape key that's cozy. I'd like to keep it
- 12:03if I couldn't. Oh, I don't know about that. After all,
- 12:05it isn't mine. I'm not getting into trouble now, you won't. I
- 12:09promise you. I want to find out where it was made if I can,
- 12:11and who ordered me? Oh God again, sure I would have thought
- 12:16you from doing that. Even if I could. A phone call of the
- 12:24Seaboard Trucking Company gave me the information that Harold Corey was out on a run
- 12:28to Philadelphia but was expected about three in the morning. I expected to cot
- 12:39Adam three seven dollars drinks and dinner after I checked into the Bristol Hotel item
- 12:43four ten cents. Phone calls to Jean Maxwell's employer, Edward Hollis was at
- 12:48home and would see me. Come into the living room, mister Dunnan.
- 12:52We made it, let me be comfortable. It was nice of you to
- 12:54see me, mister Hollis. I thought it would be better to do it
- 12:56this way rather than bother You would work and I appreciate it. You had
- 13:01to see the office has been very gloomy. Eye. This is missus Hollismon,
- 13:05Tonna. How do you do quite well? Thank you? I didn't
- 13:09know the poor girl, but it's a dreadful thing. Yes, yes,
- 13:13I'm afraid it is. Simply don't understand a young girl like that with everything
- 13:18to live for. It may be even worse than that. How could it
- 13:26be? Would? And it looked more and more as though her death was
- 13:30not a suicide, Donna. I didn't mention it on the phone. The
- 13:35police think it was murdered, so do I. I can't believe it.
- 13:41What do you see? Said? You see? The police know how people
- 13:43commit suicide. I don't average all suicide to do certain things. The Maxwell
- 13:50girl didn't do any of them. Really, this is a shocker. I
- 13:56suppose I could be dragged into a quotome along with everybody else in your business,
- 14:01and you run along upstairs and no reason for you are going through this.
- 14:05Oh, I think i'd rather good margin two dollars, good night.
- 14:11I'm sorry, but couldn't be helped? Course, couldn't, I understand,
- 14:18don't know. I want to, could I could? I think your drink
- 14:24time, mel Thanks. I'll make this as fast as possible. I don't
- 14:28know how much you knew about Jean Maxwell's private life. Who I knew nothing.
- 14:33I have a number of girls in the office, as long as they
- 14:35do their work when I asked, no question. As a matter of fact,
- 14:37I have no right to sure of when I've gathered she was mixed up
- 14:43emotionally. She hadn't had much freedom because of an inlet mother she took care
- 14:48of. I didn't know that. When a while I went into a hospital,
- 14:52Jean began to make up for lost time. She led her friends to
- 14:56believe that she was friendly with a lot of men. But I don't believe
- 15:00that. Oh, I think it was one man, one with enough money
- 15:05to buy her expensive things perfume, jewelry, even a gold key. I
- 15:11have to admit that she was very beautiful. You say that she worked with
- 15:16a number of girls at your office. Yes, yes, we're eleven of
- 15:18us. A lot of those eleven. Did you have any close friends that
- 15:22you know of? We willing to see the dyet girl, appreciate it.
- 15:28They seem to be quite friendly. I couldn't be sure of any of the
- 15:31other I would you give me all their names then I'd like to talk to
- 15:35of course. Oh, I preaps would be better if you fool me at
- 15:39the office in the morning. I could give you their addresses as well.
- 15:41Oh, I will do it that way. Oh, thanks very much,
- 15:45mister Howison. I'm sorry meeting you couldn't have been more pleasant. The next
- 15:56morning, I had a list of eleven feminine names and the address of Harold
- 15:58Corey Jean truck driving friends. By ten thirty, I was following up the
- 16:04ladder. Come back later when you can't see anybody. Now, I'm an
- 16:26investigator from Jean Maxwell's insurance company. I want to talk to you about it.
- 16:30So wait a minute. I'm sorry to bother you. My name is
- 16:41daughter. Come morning, I had I've been out of town. I didn't
- 16:48know about what happened, Like at the paper this morning. If he got
- 16:51me rock, sure, I can understand that. How much do you know
- 16:55about it? Why did she do it? She didn't? What do you
- 17:00mean by that? It's not suicide, it's murder murder? You know her
- 17:07pretty well, didn't you? Yeah? Pretty well? Did you buy gifts
- 17:11for once in a while, Birthday, Christmas times like that? What kind
- 17:18of gifts are you driving as? Can't you remember? Yeah? Sure,
- 17:22candy, handkerchiefs, things like that. You know, I don't think I
- 17:27like your approach, mister. I'll calm down, mister Corey. I'm giving
- 17:32you a chance to rehearse before the police get at you. Why did you
- 17:37see her last night before I left Philadelphia and when I was two nights ago
- 17:41Tuesday. That's by Wednesday morning. She was found Wednesday morning. I know
- 17:45that you're in a spot. You know that you're telling me. People think
- 17:53I could me. I loved her, I wanted to marry. I'm sorry,
- 18:03friends, in this situation. That's motive, not an alibi. Get
- 18:08out of here, wouldn't. You can not leave me alone. You're not
- 18:12helping yourself with this act. You're making your work it out, Lieutenant Rosas,
- 18:30this is dollar. Lieutenant, I just left a friend of the Maxwell
- 18:33girl name of Harold Cory. Or if I could have located jacket is saved
- 18:38in the trouble. What do you mean the death was? Who was after
- 18:41all? Why? Oh? Come, I'll talk to the report. There
- 18:48was a concussion from that prop from the bridge, but that wasn't the cause
- 18:51of death. I wait a minute, not so fast. Cause of death
- 18:52was from carbon monoxide. Key pulled the suicide red would embarrass somebody in her
- 18:57body was passed in the bridge to get her mind. If I cut into
- 19:19say something fellows, it won't take too long. Since a word to the
- 19:23wise is sufficient. And in the English language there is one word which is
- 19:29important to just about everyone in the world. That word is security. Security
- 19:36has several different meanings. However, usually we think of it in connection with
- 19:41the protecting of our military installations and defense industries. But it means more than
- 19:47that. There is a security which applies to every man woman, and child
- 19:52in America, the security which comes from being in good health, having a
- 19:57good education, and being well taken care of in case things get a little
- 20:03too tough to handle by oneself. This kind of security is the problem of
- 20:07the President's newest Cabinet member, the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare.
- 20:15This department ties together the work of several governmental agencies. First, there
- 20:19is the United States Public Health Service, which strives to make certain that the
- 20:23general health of the people in our country is in the best of conditions.
- 20:29Then there is a Food and Drug Administration, which guarantees that the food we
- 20:33eat is pure and safe to eat. The Social Security Board, which takes
- 20:38care of old people, children, and the blind who need assistance, also
- 20:42comes under the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, as does the
- 20:47United States Office of Education. This office does research on the educational possibilities,
- 20:53changes and opportunities and passes on its information to the various state boards of education.
- 21:00As you can see, the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare
- 21:06is one of the most important agents easy in our government, assuring us,
- 21:10as it does, of a normal and healthy way of life. And now,
- 21:19with our star John Lund, we bring you the second act of yours
- 21:25truly, Johnny dollars or sit down, Oak. Here's the hot hops report,
- 21:49best by six year caused by presence of large amounts of government oxide agents
- 21:53unknown. That's it. Probably automobile exhaust that's the most popular these days.
- 22:00You believe this kind? I believe what's on the report? And how did
- 22:04you say she got into the river? I said, maybe she committed to
- 22:07a side is somewhere so that somebody would get involved get rid of her.
- 22:11She would probably dumped in the stream. What's the matter? Dollar? I
- 22:15thought you'd be happy with this suicide evidence. The insurance company hired me to
- 22:18dig up the fact there was suicide, all right, But if it wasn't,
- 22:23they want to know that too. And I still don't think it was.
- 22:27Why not? Well, from what I've learned, she wasn't a type.
- 22:33She liked to be alive, and she played it hard enough to leave
- 22:36some motives lying around. Jealousy for one. That boyfriend or her Corey,
- 22:40he's a possibility. I talked to him, and for my money, he
- 22:44deserves checking. And then there's this what does this unlock? I wish I
- 22:52could tell him, but it was undoubtedly given to her by somebody. I'd
- 22:56like to know who you think to put a couple of men on it,
- 23:00find out where it was made. All right, I'll stick my neck out
- 23:04that far for you. And I'm under orders. You know I have to
- 23:07be assigned before I can invest. Sure, I understand that. I'll take
- 23:11your story upstairs. And he was the best, says, let me know
- 23:14what else to sign? I will? Oh, do you have the address
- 23:18of the old flame you mentioned? The mother's friend? Still like the settle
- 23:22for fraud, wouldn't you? That's star Gener'll give it to you. His
- 23:26name is Paul Anderson. I'm from Jean Maxwell's insurance company. Mister Anderson,
- 23:38I wonder if you could spare me a few minutes. Yes, I suppose
- 23:44he come in. You are the adjustice as soon. No, I'm an
- 23:51investigator. Oh, I didn't know she had a policy. No, she
- 23:56didn't. Twenty five thousand dollars to go to her mother. I see mother.
- 24:03Her death has been classed as suicide, which void the policy. The
- 24:07two year self destruction clause is still in effect. That's a petty. Why
- 24:11do you say that at least she could have done the poor Mildred as her
- 24:15mother as an extremely young mother. It was almost ruined a life for that
- 24:19girl. I didn't know that the daughter was born when Mildred was only seventeen,
- 24:25and she was left to care for the girl herself. I have helped
- 24:29as much as I could. I don't want you to misunderstand. There's nothing
- 24:32to be hidden. I suppose it is unusual. I didn't meet Jean first.
- 24:36When she took me to her home and I met her mother, I
- 24:37realized that Jean was no more than a cheap little opportunist, the complete opster
- 24:44from her mother. As I say, I suppose it is unusual. Oh,
- 24:47it doesn't make any difference. The point is that you drop the girl
- 24:49in favor of her mother. Is that it it wasn't the gross situation you
- 24:55evidently wish it had been. Now look here, this has gone far enough.
- 24:59You've asked me these for me one reason, so that you can draw
- 25:02your own conclusions. Do you think I sent mildreds with the home to get
- 25:04her out of the way and I don't. Well, that is not the
- 25:07case. But you can't think what you like and go ask Mildred to the
- 25:11kids who no, I won't bother her. Do you know anything about a
- 25:15gold keys. The Gene had a gold key. No, I don't know
- 25:18anything about a gold key. I've known very little about Gene at all these
- 25:22past months. So many people seem to know so little about it. Mista
- 25:34Dollar. I've been wondering how you are making asks. Oh, I am
- 25:37Mary. Have the policeman here yet? No, I'll be scared to death
- 25:40if they do come. I feel jilly the minute one looked at me.
- 25:41That's common enough. Have you remembered anything that could help another thing? Dollarn
- 25:47hay S left last night. It's creepy that her room just like it was
- 25:49the last time she left it. I gotta get to move out it.
- 25:52Get somebody else in there. Yeah, Mary, the Gene ever mentioned Paul
- 25:57Anderson's you Anderson? No, I don't think so, not that I can
- 26:03remember. Anyway. She was always kind of secret about things. She did
- 26:06talk to you about her mother though, oh little Yeah, I thought he'd
- 26:08being in the hospital. Anything about how she got there, No, except
- 26:12I got the idea. Jeanne thought it was wrong, how much fun she
- 26:15was having without her mother to worry about. She never told you who was
- 26:18paying the bills? No, who was is Donerson? Back. Yeah,
- 26:25you're sure she never mentioned him. I'm sure i'd remember she did because I
- 26:27was curious, and she never mentioned any of them. Okay, thanks many.
- 26:40I checked that night with six of the eleven girls who had worked,
- 26:42lunched, and chatted with Jean Maxwell. Their collective description was of a girl
- 26:48who listened to and enjoyed what other people said, but had little to offer
- 26:52herself. None of them knew anything about her private life. But the next
- 26:56morning the police located at Goldsmith, who said he remembered making the heart shaped
- 27:00key. I went out to see him and then got back to the kind
- 27:04of de rosa? How'd you make out of that? Thought the little man
- 27:07Dollar. Well, we found the day the key was ordered, and he
- 27:11remembered a few things because a councilman's wife came in that same thing. But
- 27:17a customer, Carter was the name he gave, mentioned a cottage on a
- 27:21bay at the east. The girl's body was found northwest of here. I
- 27:26think she was dumb from a car coming toward Boston from out there, so
- 27:32I think the cottage is in that direction, the Dutch in Yet, Well,
- 27:36if I were going to dump a body, I wouldn't carry it through
- 27:37town to take it to that bridge. Would you I'm being paid to think
- 27:41about another case. I couldn't sell the murder pitch upstairs but outside, and
- 27:45I'll buck for promotion if you're right and upstairs as wrong. And I don't
- 27:48suppose you could learned that promotion by assigning some men to cover that northwest section.
- 27:52Not at ten that's county division of responsibility. Yeah, and we'd all
- 27:57be surprised to know how any criminals take advantage of that. Expected to come
- 28:07out of five thirty five dollars mileage covering a two and a half day canvas
- 28:12of real estate offices northwest of town objects a cottage probably rented prior to the
- 28:18month of June by a man possibly using the name Jay Carter. It was
- 28:25a vague leave. It meant morning to night legwork. But on a third
- 28:29afternoon it's paid off. We don't rent much up here, is why I
- 28:32remember. And now she was a dark haired girl, Is that right right?
- 28:36The Anson place on Unbirch Road. Has anybody been there in the past
- 28:40few days? Nothing I know about. They used to be there every two
- 28:41or three days too. How was the rent paid? Casher checked by a
- 28:48cashier check or was it regular or a definite day of the month? I
- 28:51mean, and you know the bank. Yes, if I do between the
- 28:53first and fifth of each month, since may a check on the commercial bank.
- 28:57Thanks. Now, I'd like to one more favor. Would you take
- 29:00me out of the cottage. I certainly will. It's a police affair,
- 29:03I'm not I'm not the one that's standing away. Oh the job. I've
- 29:15always said that I personally out the people I do business with. You never
- 29:19know not to profound truth in any business, you know. I certainly try
- 29:23to be more careful in the future. Do you want to go now?
- 29:26I think I've seen enough it love me like I want to see if it's
- 29:34he fit. I did see it. Yeah it did. Oh, mister
- 30:00Hollis. May I come in for her? Yeah? Yes, of course.
- 30:08I didn't expect to see you again, didn't you, mister Hollis?
- 30:12He thought you'd get away with us. What did you say? Well,
- 30:17there's no reason to be clever with each other. I know you've killed her.
- 30:21You r under the cottage up beyond Mystic River. You use the name
- 30:25jay E Carter. Come into the other room. Yes, you're right,
- 30:33I did become infatuated with her. If you'd known her, you'd understand.
- 30:38I realized last we could have had to stop, and I told her she's
- 30:42been with that young Corey boy. I told her, even if I were
- 30:47single, eligible to marry, I would advise her to hang on to him
- 30:51some in her own age. That was last Tuesday night. Yes, she
- 30:55left the cottage and I heard a drive off, At least I thought I
- 30:59did. When I went out, I learned what she had really done.
- 31:04She committed suicide in the car. Hardly blame me for wanting to keep the
- 31:10secret. There wasn't suicide, mister Hollis. You know it, and I
- 31:12know it right, mister Dunna, I'll make my statement to the police.
- 31:22Fine, I'll drive it down. Thank you, Edward business go back upstairs
- 31:30now, I won't I insist it. What good would it do? What
- 31:36I've done? Because I lost you, Bice, you ask him to go
- 31:40upstairs. By I lose you again. I forbid you to say another word.
- 31:44She had taken him away from because she was beautiful. I no longer
- 31:49am. I was reading in their cottage, mister Donna, and when they
- 31:55came in, I stuck her. Is that the truth? Missus Hanna I
- 32:00killed her, and since there was nothing left of our lives, we carry
- 32:07fit to the car expense account Item six one hundred and ten dollars final bill
- 32:25for car rentals, Item seven eighty five dollars miscellaneous expense a count total two
- 32:31hundred and sixty five dollars and eighty five cents. Re Mark. I don't
- 32:37know what sticks the Massachusetts courts of war, but Jane Maxwell was not killed
- 32:44by the wronged wife. He was unconscious but alive when Hollis put her into
- 32:50the car trunk. She died there by carbon monoxide. Here's truly, Johnny
- 32:57Dollars, you've been listening to suspense and private investigator Johnny Daller, join us
- 33:22again tomorrow night at the same time as FPN presents fifty five minutes of comedy
- 33:27with My Favorite Husband and the Adventures of the Great Guilders League. That's tomorrow
- 33:32night at nine oh five on the bar EXEMPLI welcome back. Well, if
- 33:42this case sounds familiar to you, you've been listening to us for a while.
- 33:46John Lan actually did the script back on Mark sixth, nineteen fifty three.
- 33:52However it was with a different cast. We played that particular episode January
- 34:00sixth of two thousand and twelve, so about fifteen months ago. So it
- 34:05sounded very familiar, and I knew somehow I'd heard it before, and I
- 34:09thought it was John Line episode and I was right, all right. Listener
- 34:15comments and feedback Kathy rits In on Facebook. I really like the theme music
- 34:23for the Bob Bailey series of yours truly, Johnny Dollar. Is it available
- 34:29for anywhere for purchase? Unfortunately I could not find anywhere it was available now.
- 34:37Certainly if you have an audio editing program, it's a pretty simple matter
- 34:45if you you know how to handle that, just to take the MP three,
- 34:47cut out the part with the theme you want to hear and walk around
- 34:52with it, you know, added onto your iPod. But nobody has set
- 34:55up I cut either a free download or a paid down downloade of that particular
- 35:00theme. One thing that does have a very strong resemblance to the Johnny Dollar
- 35:07theme is the theme to the TV series See. I'm not going to say
- 35:14it's exactly the same by any measure, However, it may be worth taking
- 35:19listen to to see if that would feel your need or come close enough,
- 35:24because it is a stirring theme in its own right, the theme to Sea
- 35:28Hunt, other listener comments and feedback from contributors. Josh sends in a comment,
- 35:34he says, I'm a private investigator and I love listening to your Great
- 35:37Detective and Dragnet podcast while I'm working. And Margaret says, I remember my
- 35:43mother talking about listening to the radio programs when she was a girl, and
- 35:46I always regretted not being able to listen to them myself. Your program lets
- 35:51me know what the programs were as good as she told me they were.
- 35:54Well, thanks so much, Margaret and Josh. I appreciate both your comments.
