- 0:29[SPEAKER_02]: middle March madness here.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_02]: Boy, I was buying some stuff from March madness, getting prepared for the week.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_02]: Here, kids are having a little neighborhood party, where they're playing basketball with their friends and all that other stuff is the games are going on and everything else.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_02]: Stop by Jersey, Mike.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_02]: I just want to bitch today about fees
- 0:58[SPEAKER_02]: fucking tips dude.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm tired of all the goddamn fees for everything and I'm tired of tips.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_02]: Let's start off with tips.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_02]: But this is what fucking really burned my asshole was Jersey Mike's.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_02]: Went to Jersey Mike's and made the sandwich, took about two minutes for the kids and all that stuff and then they just turned the screen around for a tip.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_02]: Tip started at 10% 20% and then obviously there's a little button underneath that says nothing but it went as high as 30% at Jersey fucking Mike's.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: Now I love Jersey Mike's.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_02]: Excuse me, Jersey Michaels, I don't know you're well enough for formally to call you Mike like that.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_02]: But in my opinion, we've never tipped for a sandwich at subway or anything else.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: There used to be a little jar, but nobody uses cash anymore.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_02]: There used to maybe pop in a dollar if you ordered something exotic, like a six footer or something for a party or something like that.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_02]: But two fucking kids sandwiches, I don't get it, dude.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 2:02[SPEAKER_04]: and how much are you supposed to tip like why why why are they offering tips now seem to go to the fucking workers uh tip flation that was as I was a call creep it's just a way um for you you you would have seen this in California actually back in the after a bomb a care you notice all the restaurants started charging 4% extra to pay for employees health care
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, uh, but it didn't say what it was at the bottom of the receipt.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_02]: It just said, uh, what wild dead.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, because it just said I moved in, uh, shit, 2015, I think, um, but there was this little surcharge at the bottom of the four percent, but I didn't know what it was.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_02]: It didn't say Obamacara on the receipt.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_04]: The only time it's, look, you can tip whenever you want it, but the only time it's ever appropriate to tip.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_04]: in reality is when the person you're tipping is getting paid the tipped wage, that's the purpose of tips, right?
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: the uh... which i don't think should exist anyways frankly it's kind of it's kind of a weird system so are you familiar with this you worked in the restaurant and uh... i've worked at a million restaurants and so we'll say this i don't track past the note tax on tips things um... and that's great however when it's in an electronic system i've heard a lot of people complain
- 3:24[SPEAKER_02]: The workers, they don't get the tip, so it doesn't really matter anyways, and it seems like it's going to the corporations.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: So where is appropriate to tip?
- 3:31[SPEAKER_02]: Jersey, Mike, see us or no.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: no.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, meet me too.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see, uh, haircuts.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's appropriate to tip.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_04]: Sure, you have to do a good job.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, so jersey mics, hourly rates, at least in North Carolina, start between $11 and $17 an hour.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_04]: That's the starting salaries.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, I'm sorry, that's the, uh, the range is somewhere in there.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_04]: The national average is 1460 to 1488, which is right in line with $15 minimum wage that people want.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_04]: right.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_04]: Now, I don't, I, I wouldn't work for that at this point in my life, but those jobs historically have been made kids for younger people.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, the tipped wages, um, it doesn't apply to Jersey Mike's employees.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_04]: People that work in fast food are getting paid on average 12 to 20 bucks an hour depending on where the country you are.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_04]: Um, that isn't to say.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's what they all they deserve or whatever.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_04]: It's not really my place to say that.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_04]: You deserve what you can negotiate.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_04]: Effectively.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, I'm not tipping that.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_04]: No way.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_04]: Coffee shops, I do.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you do it.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_02]: Coffee shop.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_02]: I don't.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_02]: I don't do that a confession.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_04]: There is an art to making coffee.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: If it's good, yeah.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_04]: You go to good places.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_02]: I go to good places.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_04]: I tip them when they make my coffee.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_02]: I go to shitty places because I drink coffee every single day.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_02]: But it's more of a get it in me and it's as white as an NBA player's wife have said this in the past.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: And it's just a wake-up tool for me.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: I don't enjoy coffee the way that you an Evan do.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_02]: For example.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_04]: There's like,
- 5:13[SPEAKER_04]: Here's where you should tip, full service sit down restaurant.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, because they're getting paid the tip wage, even when they're not in a nice restaurant, they're not getting paid to a wage.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_04]: They're getting the people that work in nice bespoke stay houses and other places like that.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_04]: They're probably making 150K a year.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_04]: Not in flat salary includes tips and everything, but they're doing great, but you should still tip there.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_04]: Usually the rule is 18 to 20% of the pre-tax bill, although I don't do that because I'm not looking up for I just I just go with the the final one and double it.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_04]: I Same I don't want to pull out a calculator and just for ease though, it's not because I think they're doing great But for 20 for really great service maybe 25% yeah, maybe if they do something crazy
- 6:03[SPEAKER_02]: Or if you have a huge party, like if there's like, you know, 10, 12 people at the table.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, even with the 18% retuity thing, I always tip more.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, because 18% is on it off my opinion.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_04]: If they do a good job, food deliveries, stuff like that, especially in bad weather, I'll tip really.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_04]: And especially if it's, well, less so lately, high tipping because it's almost always in a legal immigrant, bringing my stuff.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, and I can you can tell as soon as you look at it, who is going to be something.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, probably cut down on that a little bit
- 6:37[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, do you have to go back into the app because you're a big Uber eats guy and a door to action on that other stuff where we've got kids who eat kids food.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: So there's not a lot of places that deliver that.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_02]: So we typically make it at home.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_02]: So do you have to tip them afterwards, then on the app?
- 6:54[SPEAKER_04]: Well, what you do is you set your tip at 15% and then you can go up or down.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_04]: Based on their performance.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_02]: Gotcha.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I do.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_04]: bars and cocktails, obviously.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_04]: It's a good, I mean, to me, it's more about convenience and anything.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_04]: If I'm paying over time with a card, I'll just do the math at the end.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_04]: But if I'm paying cash in a cash bar, usually it's just whatever change I've left my hand.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not carrying change around.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_04]: And I don't mean literal change.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_04]: I mean like, a single dollar bills and stuff like that.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_04]: If it's like, if I buy two drinks and it's 12 bucks and there's eight bucks left in my hand or seven and change, I probably just throw on a whole thing in there because I don't want to care that shit around.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I know that's dumb, but I'm a lazy piece of shit.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_04]: and then personal services.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_04]: Like Uber's barber, Uber doesn't see the tips though.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_04]: uh... no i don't read driver i've had said that hey we don't see this yeah uh... uh... i don't i have private drivers usually i don't use like i'll find somebody that like on the uber and it's get their contact all of those guys are run on their own and they are yes yeah and they're happy to give him the you're the car we've got a guy we've got guys here uh... i'm not gonna say the name because the new assholes are using them and i've got one specific due to an austen that we always used to and we've got a guy in charlie we've got a guy in dc okay use
- 8:14[SPEAKER_04]: Coffee shops are optional, I guess.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_04]: I do it because I want good coffee.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_04]: And if somebody gives me shit, then I'm gonna tell them right then and they're on spot.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_04]: Like, hey, this is not good.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_04]: But shit coffee?
- 8:28[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_04]: I tip there, but not like grab and go stuff.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_04]: I fast food is grab and go.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_04]: You don't do that.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_04]: And then like,
- 8:36[SPEAKER_04]: pure counter service stuff like order paying get something immediately.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_04]: Sorry.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_04]: You didn't do anything.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_04]: You just did your job.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_04]: And then obviously there's self-check out now.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_04]: Then has it.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_04]: Like who am I tipping the fuck out there?
- 8:49[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I said.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_04]: It was like what the fuck you doing.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_04]: I doing bring a bag of screws and batteries and dump them out on the table and you can eat those motherfuckers.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm not tipping a goddamn robot.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_04]: You got to show me you at least got to show me a set of eyes.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_04]: I ball human eyeball is at the money's point too.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'm whether they're just having me in an airports and it asks for a tip of the shit that I bought in the store and then Self-checked out Also having me at Moody Center in Austin We're all the concerts are and Texas Longhorns basketball play
- 9:20[SPEAKER_02]: It all that shit.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: I checked out.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: They were like tip but I'm like, I'm just looking at a screen There is a human that works somewhere in the vicinity.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't ask for their help.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't do shit.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, they didn't do shit Are they like sitting in a cuck chair peeking around a corner waiting for you to leave 12 cents on the tip?
- 9:36[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I don't know Kind of yeah, fuck out of here.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there's always you can feel the eyes in the judgment out of these people and you're like man
- 9:44[SPEAKER_02]: What did you really do?
- 9:46[SPEAKER_02]: One person I just asked, I was like, what do you recommend in a situation like this?
- 9:51[SPEAKER_02]: And then go, what do you mean?
- 9:52[SPEAKER_02]: And I go, well, it's a tip, but you just slid a bag of Doritos over the counter, some chapstick or whatever, was at the airport.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: And, and it goes, I don't know, man, I go to most people do this and they're like,
- 10:07[SPEAKER_02]: Ah, you know, it's 50, 50, and I'm like, man, who is that 50% that's doing that for just sliding a bottle of water and some chips and chaps like across the table?
- 10:17[SPEAKER_02]: I don't understand that whatsoever, but it's every single place that I go now has these fucking tips.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm wondering...
- 10:27[SPEAKER_02]: Well, first of all, I know where to start.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_02]: It started during COVID.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_02]: That's where it started where we were all just getting pick up and then leaving and then tip in the guys like, hey, dude, thanks for staying here, going to the shit, and just being there and I'm just trying to keep your business alive and you personally alive, but then it just never stopped after that.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_02]: And I fucking hate it because they make you feel like shit about it.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_02]: Let me ask you this, on a valet.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_02]: Um, last weekend's game that I played in a state of hotel in Dallas, obviously, this is, you know, it's about three and a half hours from Austin.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_02]: I don't live there.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_02]: But I had to drive in and out of a valet three times in one day.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_02]: And the car was, you know, across the street in a garage.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: Do you tip on every single one of those?
- 11:14[SPEAKER_02]: Um, no, I didn't either.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_02]: I don't either.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_02]: And the last guy I hadn't seen when I was checking out and I felt bad because he did it the night before and then the other thing, but I already tip the other two dudes.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_02]: And so he looks at my truck that's wrapped in hard a half-saltzer and I go, hey man, I don't have any cash here and I feel bad I gave
- 11:36[SPEAKER_02]: You know, a choni to the dudes yesterday and you're here and you're new, can I just give you a 12 pack of hard AF Seltzer and is that good and he goes, it's not good, it's fucking great dude and so he took the 12 pack, which was awesome and I was like, okay, great.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: because it's depending upon where you live, it ranges anywhere from 1599 to 20 bucks, because they're jacking up the fucking prices, by the way, and that seemed fine with me.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_02]: The other places, all-tip haircuts, definitely do that.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_02]: Valais.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_02]: Bar tenders, that's a tricky one for me, right?
- 12:22[SPEAKER_02]: Cause you're going back for drinks every single time.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say you close back, let's see you close out, then you come back to get another drink, do you tip again?
- 12:29[SPEAKER_04]: It depends on how much the first tip was.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_04]: If I just hand it, I'm like fucking a tint.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_04]: Usually if I think I'm closing out, I'll do all my tipping.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, same here, same here, same right then.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_04]: If I done that, then I'm not going to tip, if I do it, it'll be a dollar or something if I have it, I'm not going on my way.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, because that happened to me the other night where I was like, I've done the same thing.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_02]: I had, you know, bought some drinks for some friends.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_02]: I had a game of decent tape, and then we had a chat and a bit longer, and I got one more drink, and I was like, not the fucker man, I got to run my credit card again and tip for this now.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, dude, it's every single place you go, and the judgment and the look in their eyes on these fucking people, dude.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_02]: Starbox because of a woman or hurry, like I said, I drink shady coffee on the road If I'm in a hurry, but I don't I don't tempt the fucking starman for you full.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_04]: Is that bad?
- 13:21[SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't think you should okay Because the coffee sucks and it's so fucking generic and it's like
- 13:29[SPEAKER_02]: Man, this isn't good enough for me to do something.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_02]: If we go to that place by the office, what does it moon some some of them?
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, some of them.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they make great coffee.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_02]: And they put the little fucking hearts on there and to do it's docking, if you type enough money.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel like that's worth it because I'm getting something that's like a craft brew as far as coffee goes.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: So then I do it.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, it's, yeah.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_04]: I'm paying for the service, and there's a lot of different ways that you can make coffee.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_04]: You can just put some coffee grounds in hot water, or you can take a time and make a good cup, especially if it's espresso, I mean it's time temperature pressure.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_04]: You have to get things right for it to be right, and if you go to the trouble then I will too.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_04]: Like that's that should be the social handshake.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_04]: If you're willing to go to the trouble, then I will too.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_04]: If you're out here Stand in the rain waiting for me to show up To hand me my fucking car keys.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna pay you for it because you've earned it.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that is valid like convenience is valid valuable to me Craftsmanship is valid on me.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, stuff like that.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but just like standing there with looking at me like a fucking you know
- 14:49[SPEAKER_04]: When you got a dog and you make a noise and they'd cock their head to the side, if you're just sitting there looking at me like that, waiting for a fucking money, I'm going to smack you in the face.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_02]: Katta, I hate it so much when you're happening.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_02]: I hate it so fucking much.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_02]: Now my wife is a sucker for all that shit, dude, because both of us were in the service industry for a while, off and on, you know, through a high school college, and early days in LA, before I got my first movie and all that shit,
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: She tips everywhere and it's like, God, sometimes I look at her and I'm like, for this dude, that's what she's like, I just, I feel bad and I don't like the looks.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_02]: And I think a lot of people just don't like the looks and they'd rather just give some money, but again, we don't know if it's fucking going to them or not going to them.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_02]: The other thing I hate is these fucking fees right now, dude.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: Do in taxes, go in through it, get an imprette, personal-wise, and all that other shits, we always extend our taxes, however.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'd like to know what the personal ones are, so that way I can work on, I mean, from our archives later on afterwards, but I'm looking at all these fucking fees, and a sat down with my wife and chat at about it, and I was like, can we just go through the fucking
- 16:06[SPEAKER_02]: 799, you get ads, 1799, standard.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_02]: 2499 is premium.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_02]: What the fuck is premium?
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: Is that 8K or something like that?
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have it.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_04]: No, I don't premium is no ads.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's also...
- 16:25[SPEAKER_02]: Does that include live TV and shit as well standard does I have standard and it does and then here's the weird thing when they're showing these fights online now like they have in football games and everything else a warning will pop up that says hey before you press play
- 16:40[SPEAKER_02]: on the let's say the Christmas games yeah it'll say there will be ads in this this is Hulu this is Netflix oh Netflix so Netflix will say hey there's going to be ads in this but it's only for live sports premium is top tier ad free I think it gives you more seats too like you can be you can view simultaneously on more devices if you have
- 17:01[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I don't know if it has anything to do.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no, it does have 4K ultra, but and HDR video and then there's some other stuff.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, this is the thing as As offerings expanded contract, you'll start to see this nickel and dime bullshit and it happens when
- 17:21[SPEAKER_04]: the offerings expand, but the people offering it retract, right?
- 17:27[SPEAKER_04]: So we've talked about this before.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_04]: Between the between Bush one and the end of Obama, we went from eight major airlines down to four.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_04]: Yep, went from eight cellular carriers down to four.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_04]: From 25 defense companies providing the Pentagon weapons down to five.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_04]: Right?
- 17:47[SPEAKER_04]: And what do you get?
- 17:49[SPEAKER_04]: You get people who know you got them.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_04]: They have you bent over a barrel.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_04]: So they In the name of convenience for you.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_04]: They all a cart everything.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, they charge you.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_04]: They nickel and dime me for every single fucking thing now Biden tried to address it some He did it with tickets.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_04]: Obama tried to address it some even back then.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so did Trump and his first term and I think they're working on something now but
- 18:17[SPEAKER_04]: They're trying to solve that problem way too far downstream.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_04]: The solution to that problem is more competition.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_04]: And for the government to not fucking let these major companies cannibalize all the business.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, there's a reason the government exists.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_04]: and it is not to interfere in private industry necessarily, but it is to protect consumers to some degree.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and that's, they haven't done shit in that regard.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_02]: No, I just, I don't know what to do about it.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_02]: So, movie studios is the same way.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: It was eight, now it's down to pretty much four.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_02]: Warner Bros. just got bought out by Paramounts.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_02]: HBO is now owned by Paramounts.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_02]: Fuck, what else, CNN, HGTV.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_02]: All of those are now owned by Paramounts.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_02]: uh... paramount i can promise you it is going to jack up their fucking feet and also on the ufc uh... and cbs and cbs as well uh... but as far as the airlines go uh... let's say the flight home uh... it's from from North Carolina back to him here's what i fucking eight because i got five total in my family which sucks because i know it's going to be a big boy bill so i go on there for saturday's flight uh... back to austin uh... american airlines is the the big carrier here in Wilmington North Carolina
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: It starts off and, you know, I'm in coach, starts off 499, right?
- 19:35[SPEAKER_02]: Go to the next screen, would you like to sit together with your family?
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yes it would, because I got a fucking three year old, a seven year old, and an 11 year old.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_02]: So that's mandatory.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_02]: Awesome.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to do that.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: 34 dollars.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_02]: 34 dollars per kid, right, per flight.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: Now it's two flights.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_02]: There is no nonstop from Wilmington to Austin.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm looking at five times essentially 40 bucks there and then the next flight.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: The one stop to go to fucking Austin.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_02]: another fucking forty nine dollar fee if I want to sit together with my family yeah it's wild now i looked uh... because i wanted to do this episode today and at the top of the screen on american airlines said uh... hey if you are with family and you are with kids
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: We'll do our best, I mean, the air quotes on the word best, to put you all together if we can.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_02]: The answer is no.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_02]: No, you can't, because all these flights are getting canceled or delays and everything else.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_02]: There's no way a family of five, like myself, would ever be able to sit together.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_02]: There's just no fucking way.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_04]: It's not last minute like that.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_04]: They have to combine two flights or something.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_04]: They just, I mean, their tech is so bad right now.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_04]: And I don't know,
- 20:53[SPEAKER_04]: with flights right now because they're just, I don't know if needlessly is the right word, but they're oddly expensive.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_04]: Like here, I know that there's a lot going on with air travel.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_04]: I know fuel costs are up a little bit, but not that much.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_04]: Not enough to affect airlines.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_04]: I know they're having problem with TSA because of the shutdown.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_04]: I know they're having problem which they have been for since COVID started.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_04]: with staffing.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's been it in the case.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_04]: But I was looking yesterday for flights back to Austin and
- 21:31[SPEAKER_04]: the one-way flight on in coach was like almost $600.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_02]: I was gonna say so at the end of the day, I ended up paying $2,838 for five coach seats where I'm in the back of the fuck, no, I think it's $3,200, I'm sorry.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_02]: I'm in row 32 on these fucking flights.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm back by the time.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_04]: That shit doesn't, I don't understand why that's the case.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_04]: I'd love for the airlines to explain that.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_02]: uh... and like i'll get anybody been for the dial but that doesn't make any sense to me no no uh... and it sucks to it absolutely sucks and flying is become a nightmare is our client the near times that it said uh... is the the golden age of flying is over yes it's fucking overdue sorry um...
- 22:17[SPEAKER_02]: In for a couple reasons, people are pissed off about the prices they're paying, they're pissed off about the weights, the delays, all the shit that they're charged for, and then you don't get anything once you're on the flights anymore.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_02]: If it's over three, I'm sorry, under three hours, you don't get food.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_02]: And I had a flight to Charlotte, there was two hours and 51 minutes.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_02]: No meals for the kids or any shit like that.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_02]: We got pretzels and and some cookies And I was like, hey, thanks bud, you know that fucking sucks that whole element of it But it's everything on the on the internet too right now.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_04]: So Apple is is doing their best to steal whatever they can from people.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yes
- 23:01[SPEAKER_04]: If you're on an iPhone right now and you've subscribed to our Patreon over the last since November, our revenue has gone down a couple of thousand bucks because they're now taking 30% for doing nothing.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_04]: They don't do shit.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_04]: They don't do shit.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_04]: So here's what you should do.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_04]: If you're a Patreon subscriber and you have an iPhone to use Apple to do it.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_04]: unsubscribe on Apple, go to the website, don't use your Apple ID login, just use your email address, re-subscribe that way.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_04]: And that way, we actually get the money, otherwise you're just paying Apple.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_02]: And by the way, we don't get the money.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_02]: That's what goes to the employees to keep them working out, to put video on.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_02]: That is a fact.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_02]: So we are unbelievably grateful for all the people on Patreon.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_02]: That is the only way that we can pay for video because YouTube doesn't pay anything.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_02]: And I've bished about YouTube in the past because everybody's saying they're getting like 10 ads in it We have no control of that.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_02]: We don't see any fucking money from YouTube on average It's about 750 to 800 bucks a month is what we we actually see at the end of the day It's bullshit.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_02]: So without patreon We don't have a choice, but I feel guilty about it.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_02]: Jamie you are here for that call, man Because with this app, I'm trying to put it on smart TVs right now and then stream live with a comment section and all that other shit I don't know how much this is gonna cost I'm supposed to get a quote next week
- 24:19[SPEAKER_02]: Jamie, how long was that on that call for an hour and a half?
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: And it's the same thing, like I feel bad charging people, but that's the only way we can keep video on.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_02]: And if you're saying, all right, well, what would pay for the app on television?
- 24:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's just those dynamic add-insertions, those little 15 second commercials that are unspotified and things like that.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: That would pay for that and it would certainly fucking help and it would be free everywhere because a lot more people are starting to watch long forward podcast on television I'm one of them.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_02]: If I'm paying you know bills or invoices or whatever I'll just throw up a podcast on the TV in the background and then just kind of work
- 24:55[SPEAKER_02]: up in the medium or whatever, but yeah, man, even that sucks, let's go to the next one first streaming.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_02]: Who, Lou, do you have who, Lou?
- 25:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I have everything.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, so 999 with that's.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_02]: uh... eighteen ninety nine with no ads shitty part about who load those ads are fucking long dude and uh... and there's a lot of them uh... cat and it man so yeah i had to upgrade i had the original version and then i upgraded so for me and we got right that now is eighteen ninety nine uh... Disney plus
- 25:28[SPEAKER_02]: Anybody with kids got a, got a, it's mandatory.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, they're holding back catalogue and and everything that they have, have to have Disney plus also have to have no ads because kids are going to fucking flip out.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_02]: That's 15, 99, HBO, you have HBO.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_02]: everything.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I literally have everything.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_02]: So HBO goes from 1099 with that all the way up to 2299.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_02]: And so we have the no ads on HBO.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_02]: Amazon Prime.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_02]: Now Amazon Prime is 899 for a standalone, but if you got the Prime membership, which I have, which includes the free shipping for products
- 26:16[SPEAKER_02]: Peacock.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_02]: Now this one fucking piss me off to it.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_02]: Peacock and balls to it.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_02]: I had to get it.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 26:23[SPEAKER_02]: Because the big ten.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, I'm on a high estate fan that they're showing big ten games on Saturday nights.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_02]: If I want to watch my fucking team, I've got to go to fucking Peacock for it.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_02]: Which sucks.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_02]: So that's another fucking charge.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_02]: Now they are showing commercials during college football games.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_02]: So that one, I'm going to pay the 799 with the ads.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_02]: because fuck it, I'm watching ads anyways, and it's literally the only thing that I watch on fucking peak coming.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_02]: Paramount Plus got that as well.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_02]: In my opinion, Paramount Plus has the best television shows on them in HBO.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_02]: And now that they own HBO, I don't know if they're gonna combine that in some form of bundle package, they said they're gonna leave it separately.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_02]: I highly doubt it, I bet you they'll merge eventually and just go into one app.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_02]: The ads on that, I was using it with ads with $7.99, and I watched all the Taylor shared and shows Lioness fucking Yellowstone Love, Lion Man, all that other shit saying is you guys.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to stand those fucking ads, so I bumped it up, and I was $12.99, so I got that.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_02]: The next one here is the YouTube TV.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_02]: Do you have that sort of what with the NFL package.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and if help package would you pay 300 or three.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even remember.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, something something like that.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_04]: Whatever it is.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_02]: You get a discount for signing up early.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_02]: I usually sign up early because obviously we have a sports show and I love the NFL watching games and all the other shit.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_02]: So that's 300 bucks.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_02]: If you get it early, I think 350, if you get it later, so I got that.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_02]: Now, YouTube TV is different than the NFL package, and that used to be 49.99.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_02]: Today's current price is 83.99.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_02]: So that has been jacked up, but I have it.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_02]: I got all that bullshit.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_02]: And then there's others.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_02]: Fubo, I don't know what that is.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_02]: All right kids, we got some sponsors to put this shit wagon on the air first and foremost first form dot com forward slash drinking bruise all right

- 28:56[SPEAKER_02]: So, uh, let's say you're like me, I eat the bar right when I get out of the gym.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, it's nice in the afternoon too, it's kind of a meal replacement for me right around that lunchtime area.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: Since we do a few shows a day, uh, also when I was getting ready for a renalyke football doing shakes.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_02]: So I would start, uh, those days with some of the protein shakes and the opti greens.

- 37:57[SPEAKER_02]: APR rates in the fives, and then right now, I think the interest rate is like 6.1 somewhere in that neighborhood on your house, but for well, qualified borrowers do, you're going to get in the fives, bro, call at 866-887-2275 for details about credit costs in terms or American financing.net, slash drinking bros, as always, Bob puts these links in the audio and video descriptions.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_02]: Kind of a YouTube TV type of thing.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_04]: Fubo is mostly live sports.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_04]: It's a streaming service that has all kinds of deals with live sports, a lot of soccer.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_04]: When I watch soccer, it's usually on Fubo.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, got you.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_04]: But I think they have everything.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know about baseball, I think baseballs unique, but they have football for sure.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, interesting.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_02]: Um, don't have that one.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_02]: Luckily none of my games are anything's around that one.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_02]: So, uh, no need to buy that one yet.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure, uh, they'll piecemeal this somewhere else.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: So, we'll have to get it in the fucking future.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, once you've tally this up, so let's see, you've got 28, plus another 16, 44, plus another 23,
- 39:07[SPEAKER_02]: Looking at $607, then the $17, you're up to a fucking $84, plus the $80, you're looking at $92, plus the fucking $13, you're looking at $105, and then with YouTube, and that final one, you're grand total, there's about $190.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_02]: Now, when we were fucking, that's without the NFL package or any extras.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no, with the NFL package, you had that $300 there.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_02]: There was a thing that if you were an NFL fan, and you wanted to watch every single game of the year, every single game, your total per year was $859 or something like that, which is crock a shit, and everybody told us, this was going to be better than cable, man, you know what I mean, but continue to your own.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_02]: And you can be streamed through free, you know, and other stuff.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_02]: No, you can't.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_04]: Well, you know, also speaking of that, if you're just, if you're going to draw a comparison to like cable television back in the day, now you've got to add the internet.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes, what's your internet bill?
- 40:13[SPEAKER_04]: 89 99 is mine something like that.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah for for fucking spectrum.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's something like that.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_04]: I have to love, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_02]: GD construction did not put in my spectrum.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_02]: I can tell you that much.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: My house for Christ's sex.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_02]: But yes, so you're looking at another 89 99 because you can't stream any of these things without the fucking internet and it's all bullshit.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_02]: Now in research this, I just did a deal with to be for my back catalog movies or sold them to seven
- 40:42[SPEAKER_02]: Right, Toby is the only free streaming service, they have a hundred and thirty million subscribers now and a lot of people are using it and what they're doing is buying up all these catalogs saying, hey, we'll split the ad revenue with you because that's how they're monetizing their channel is with ads.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_02]: So they've got these little dynamic ad insertions there and so does Roku.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_02]: Roku app is free or if you have the TV or whatever, right?
- 41:11[SPEAKER_02]: You're just watching a series of ads, the ads aren't bad.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_02]: In my opinion, you know, they're not going seven, eight minutes or anything like that.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's usually 90 seconds, tops, and then boom, you're back into your program.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's not bad.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_02]: But the reason when I talked to two be that they said that they're doing so well, because that was shocked by their subscriber number.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, and Jesus Christ.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_02]: And they go, yeah, but we're the only free streamer.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, man, I didn't even...
- 41:36[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't put that together.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_02]: So people who were fed up with paying for all the fees that I just mentioned, are now used in 2B where essentially they can watch it for free with just a little bit of ads the same way that regular television used to be.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_02]: Because even when you sat down to watch friends or sign-filled or whatever the fuck you watched on normal TV back in the day cable,
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: There's ads.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_02]: So if it was a half hour comedy, and you're looking at 21 minutes and 30 seconds.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_02]: So Which got eight and a half minutes ads there if it's a one hour drama across the board You're looking at 42 minutes there including credits so 18 minutes worth of ads in an hour
- 42:17[SPEAKER_02]: and that's why television was created was for ads.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_02]: Where do I think all this is headed?
- 42:24[SPEAKER_02]: She is.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's going to drop ads in this regardless.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_02]: And say, go fuck yourself.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_02]: Not only are we going to pay these fees, but they're going to make us watch ads on top of it.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_04]: At some point, I mean, look, we've talked about this before, but remember when
- 42:39[SPEAKER_04]: Um, when cable television first came out, it was TV without ads.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_04]: That was the fucking thing.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_01]: I was we were pitched.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_04]: And then HBO, it's, it's, it's,
- 42:49[SPEAKER_04]: cable without ads right now HBO I think only runs ads for its own contents of whatever that I don't really consider that an ad and it's not mid stream either it's on its bookended so whatever that that's fine same thing with serious and xm both started independently now it's the same thing but they started independently at the time radio without ads now it's covered in advertising right and it's 2499 for serious xm I'm on yeah it's it's I don't know how they're even still in business to be honest how
- 43:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'll tell you how they're in business, because I fucking have them, dude, is live games, sports, things like that.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_02]: So if you're driving on the road, you want to hear all the games.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_02]: You can do that really.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_02]: Listen to every single game.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_04]: You can do that on YouTube TV.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_02]: I agree.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_04]: There's not a reason to pay for a series of stuff.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_02]: I agree to a certain extent, but let's say you're using the phone for directions or whatever, like having that up and with kids, it's kind of dangerous, and I know myself.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_02]: as a human being.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_04]: If a play piss me off that I saw, I would fucking watch it and you can click the button on the side, turn the screen off and just hear the audio.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's true.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, premium guy.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not a premium guy.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you have YouTube TV.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, really no.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_02]: Shit.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that knocks out one of them at least for Christ's sake.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_02]: But I was so like real radio too occasionally.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_02]: So it's like we don't really have that anymore.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_02]: Do you listen to FM?
- 44:16[SPEAKER_02]: What do you listen to in the way to work?
- 44:18[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I was going to music.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I listened to Apple Music or Spotify, depending on the listen to podcasts.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, really?
- 44:26[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I do.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_04]: I listen to, uh, if one of my buddies is on one, that's what I do.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_04]: Then I will, but otherwise, no.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I do too many for a living.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, I understand that.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_02]: But, uh, all these fucking fees, tips, all this other shit adds up, and
- 44:44[SPEAKER_02]: the frustration for americans today about things being unaffordable it's because of this shit like it really is and once you start adding this up
- 44:54[SPEAKER_02]: And tip me, tip me, tip me, pay fucking $300 for fucking cable TV, pay $600 for the NFL games.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_02]: And the flights, pay me fucking $34 for $40, $40 just to sit with your fucking family on every goddamn flight you go on.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_02]: In my opinion, that's why people are saying things are unaffordable right now.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's a big part of it, yeah.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I wonder what the,
- 45:18[SPEAKER_04]: What the core inflation tracks certain things, but it doesn't track all this Ancillary stuff that people maybe CPI doesn't consider this stuff part of daily life But it is you know what I mean and people aren't going back.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_04]: It is a lifestyle Haven't you say what you want to about that?
- 45:35[SPEAKER_04]: What you think it's right or whatever the fuck What people are gonna go to the coffee shop.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_04]: They're gonna fucking get streaming services and blah, blah, blah All that shit's gonna happen
- 45:44[SPEAKER_02]: It is.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_02]: It is, but at the end of the day, he wants you to tally up all this shit, because it's your monthly, this is your monthly fees per month, and my cable bill is higher than my current insurance per month, which is fucking insane too, I mean, it's absolutely fucking insane.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_02]: Because this is a thing that I hear from like Democrat friends of mine who
- 46:09[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Trump's it's so affordable and and everything's on foot.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_02]: I was like I don't think it's I don't think it's that really Trump on this one like he's doing his best drone powers a fucking cock sucker won't let it lower interest rates or anything that shit that's certainly not helping out Americans on credit cards cars or houses or any of that other shit, but it's also these conglomerans that have now all merged and then they're charging for all this shit because otherwise you don't have entertainment
- 46:36[SPEAKER_02]: Um, it's, and it going to the movies, uh, movies prices have jacked up as well.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_02]: So if you want to go to the movies, those prices have gotten higher, and it's because no one's going to the movies, so the theater has to jack up the price.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm going to go tomorrow.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_02]: Are you, what do you say?
- 46:53[SPEAKER_04]: uh... project Hail Mary oh no shit it's the same guy that wrote the martian yeah uh... in the book is fucking great it's a spielberg right uh... i don't know who's i don't know who did it spielberg in gossling is a rain gossling gossling's that a yeah he's been doing press for it i take my kids in the movies all the time so like i i spend that money but i'm not ants about it when i check out uh... yeah it's i hope they don't fuck it up because it's a really good book now they have a great job with the martian
- 47:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so I don't I don't think it's the same people that did the screenplay and directing Gosling rocks, um, look can see is that the alien one, the Martian?
- 47:32[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know uh, probably hell may I recognize kind of yeah.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_04]: That's reductive to call it the alien one.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_04]: There's a problem with a son and he goes into space to figure it out.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_04]: Ridley Scott did the Martian.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know who's doing uh, and Andy Wears the author of the book.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_04]: If you haven't read it, yeah, you should definitely read it.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's a director here.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_04]: It's Chris Ramiller.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_02]: Oh shit, it's Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_02]: Um, there's an, I'm, pardon me, there's a movie coming out, uh, I think it's for the July.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, that's an alien movie by Spielberg, but it's kept on a rap, nobody knows anything about it, and they shot it in secret, and uh, uh, they've had these, like weird trailers and all this other shit.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_02]: So Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are fucking awesome.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_02]: That's a good team.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_04]: And Drew Goddard was the screenwriter on both two, and he's great.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_04]: So, uh, yeah, I feel fine about that.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_02]: One of the the best kids movies ever they did the Lego movies.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_02]: Have you watched those?
- 48:23[SPEAKER_02]: They're fucking hilarious too.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_04]: I watched the one where Will Arnett is Batman.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, that was really funny.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_02]: Those guys, that's how they made their bones.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_02]: And then they did Spider-Man and then the Spider-Verse, which I like both of those.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_02]: So those guys are really, really good.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_02]: And they've got a comedy background.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_02]: So is there anything funny in it?
- 48:43[SPEAKER_02]: Or is this gonna be a serious movie?
- 48:48[SPEAKER_04]: I think there is some comedic parts, but yeah, I mean, I don't want to get into that.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_04]: If you haven't read the book yet.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_04]: It says it's sci-fi.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_04]: It's sci-fi.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_04]: But it's not a comedy.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's a serious movie, but I think I just wonder if Gosling will have any witty dialogue.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_04]: He and his counterpart, I'm not going to get into the details of it much, but he and his counterpart talk a lot of shit.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_02]: then that's probably why they got these guys to you know what I mean or he does I guess the counterpart you probably wouldn't recognize it so much but it's he gets a bit cheeky from time to time okay uh... but yeah i pay for that and so let's see the theaters where it costs me uh... like he wanted to see something in i-max uh... two weeks ago and it was pretty good and i can't remember the god damn name of it i'm blanking but uh...
- 49:37[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, scream seven, uh, scream seven is what he wanted to see.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_02]: He's a middle school.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_02]: So like, you know, all the middle school kids love, love horror movies and a lot of stuff.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_02]: And then obviously, I know that whole cast from back in my team movie days.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_02]: So I was like, yeah, it's, it's can't be.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's fun.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_02]: I know there's no nudity or any of that shit.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_02]: So I took him in IMAX.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm maxed as dope as fuck the new I'm maxed as they have but the lasers and all that other shit But dude tickets for fucking for him it's like $19 Yes for my kid it was $16.99 and for me it was 18.99 and that's before snacks and shit After snacks it was right around and I'm just talking about popcorn and basic shit here, right?
- 50:16[SPEAKER_02]: It was 58 bucks.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_02]: That's I mean for two people.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_02]: That's crazy.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, dude
- 50:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like I said, we go every weekend because he loves it, he loves movies, and he's already said, Dad, I'd love to be an actor, like a bro.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_02]: We're not, we're not having a conversation.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_02]: Get out of that.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's all going away here.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, the cost of all this shit, like again, I know why, because I feel for the theaters.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_02]: So you know, theaters only make money off of concessions.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_02]: Not the movies themselves.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, most restaurants only make money off alcohol too.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_04]: That's not it.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_04]: That's just, is what it is.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, the studios don't, the split is so horrific.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and it's interesting.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_02]: They, they hold this thing in, in Las Vegas every year.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, it's called like film Expo.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_02]: And they show all the studio heads go.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_02]: And then they show the movies that are coming out for the year to the theater owners and the theater owners only.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_02]: And the reason why they do that is the theater owners,
- 51:14[SPEAKER_02]: are becoming more choosy of what they want and what they think is going to be a hit and that's going to draw people into the movies.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they've only got, I mean, consider the screen space and time inventory.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_04]: It's like shelf space.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_04]: It's not going to sell.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_04]: It's not going to sell.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_02]: It is, man.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: So, uh, yeah, shit is changed and
- 51:32[SPEAKER_02]: You know, this cost thing and this affordability thing, I don't know how you raise it, especially with entertainment.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'll go back to what you were saying earlier, nobody's going to give up their Netflix.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_02]: If you've been to somebody's house and they don't have fucking Netflix, I haven't.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_02]: I've never been to somebody's house without Netflix.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_02]: They've always got fucking Netflix if they got kids, they've always got Disney.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_02]: People aren't going to give up their entertainment.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_02]: What I have noticed a lot of, though, is people ordering in.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_02]: rather than going to restaurants, bars, and all of those shits, a lot of that.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_02]: One of my best friends from college owns seven or eight restaurants, you know him, and he's like, bro, to switch this up, you've got to have the best restaurants there is.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_02]: Or you're going to fail pretty fucking quickly here, man.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_02]: And I said, what's the biggest driving factor?
- 52:24[SPEAKER_02]: That's at least bringing in money for your bar and or restaurant because you own You know multiple.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and what he does is he'll open them.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_02]: They'll be successful for like a year or two And then he'll sell it somebody else and then kind of move on and he says live sports So he said live sports still brings people in
- 52:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like if there's an NFL game or a college game or something like that, but he said the challenge has been once football season is over, how do you get people in a bar?
- 52:51[SPEAKER_02]: Because for me, once he said that it made sense and it clicked in like, I wouldn't go to a bar for a major league baseball game.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_02]: too long.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so yeah, those guys are are struggling and trying to figure it out.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_02]: And then they've had to switch out all their TVs and all those other shit and they have to order all these goddamn apps now just to show the games.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 53:23[SPEAKER_02]: You're no longer flipping through cable channels to get to the next game or whatever it is.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_02]: And because the competition for getting people into your restaurants has grown, they have to buy every single one of these fucking apps, because God forbid, somebody comes in and they're like, hey dude, I want to watch fucking, you know, Louisiana state, or whatever it is, right?
- 53:47[SPEAKER_02]: And you don't have that game, they'll just walk out.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_02]: because dude people literally just walk out of the restaurant and he goes I don't give a fuck how obscure the college team is or the NFL team So they've got to buy the NFL package as well.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's wild.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean you can have like a fucking I don't know Well since we're here A fucking pirates What do you call it?
- 54:10[SPEAKER_04]: He's Carolina pirates.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yes, yes bar somewhere in ECU in another part of the country and you got to buy the whole package just for that
- 54:18[SPEAKER_04]: Correct.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if that's gonna be worth it.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_02]: It happened to me when I was in Ohio, and I was with them There was two fans that walked in swear to God Just during NFL Sunday, and they were wearing Jaguar's jerseys and I go Then they asked they were like hey, you know, can you put the game on and I was like obviously there weren't the jerseys to the ball They're serious enough about it.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_02]: We're just like yeah, I'm fucking love the Jaguars or whatever
- 54:43[SPEAKER_02]: I look at my body, who owns a place as a gayo, you know, I'll find it and put it on with the NFL package or whatever, right?
- 54:50[SPEAKER_02]: And, uh, and I go, man, I never thought I would see two Jaguar fans in Ohio and my entire life.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_02]: And my entire fucking life.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_02]: I can understand if you're a Florida or whatever, but like, in Ohio?
- 55:00[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's not one of those teams.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's not like the giants of the cowboys or somebody like that, but he's like, dude, I have to be prepared for this shit.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_02]: And I go, man, that fucking sucks.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's absolutely fucking sucks.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_02]: My question is, how do he solve this affordability thing?
- 55:17[SPEAKER_02]: Knowing what the fees are and the expenses and everything else, that's why I don't door-by-the-way, and shit's like fucking expensive as hell.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_04]: It is, yeah, I mean, the only, the way to solve it is for people to stop.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_04]: engaging with companies that have been in them over.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_04]: that's it that's the only way to do it.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_04]: I under no circumstances should we want or expect the government to get involved in something like that because for consumer protection reasons sure when you're talking about stuff they have per view over like giant mergers that are going to reduce offerings or at least providers.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_04]: I think they should certainly have some play there and that's historically been the case.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_04]: But
- 56:00[SPEAKER_04]: price setting price controls.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_04]: No fucking way.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_04]: That never works.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_04]: It just never works.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_04]: The only thing that happens is a result of that is everybody in the market charges the maximum price they're allowed.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_04]: There's no competition anymore.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_04]: So nobody makes good products anymore that is get by with the least amount they can.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_04]: That's communism.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_04]: There's no fucking incentive to do better or worse than anybody else.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_04]: And ultimately what what will happen is.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_04]: People create parallel economies and fuck up the actual economy to get around these stupid controls.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_04]: Now, the only way to solve it is for people to decide that they're not going to participate in systems like that anymore.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_02]: So, I decided, it was a bill, there was a number on there, this was not this tax season in the last tax season, where my wife was ordering fucking door dash and all that other shit and I go, whoa, dude, I'm like, these, the numbers fucking insane, do you know?
- 56:55[SPEAKER_02]: You've ordered like, I don't know, it was like $6,000 worth of food throughout the entire year.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_02]: Now granted, we have kids and shit, so like, I know why she did it, but I'm like,
- 57:04[SPEAKER_02]: hunt.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_02]: Can we fuck in just cook?
- 57:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like ordering, you know, like munk box or something like that's your house is way more effective, cost effective wise than ordering door dash.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_02]: In my opinion so we don't do it.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like I don't do Uber eats or whatever and luckily where I live, I have the advantage of at least driving to a few fast food restaurants for the kids if they
- 57:32[SPEAKER_04]: you don't though out there so like I understand why you do it because there's no restaurants out by you no not really um yeah I don't uh I mean I cook a lot but I when I do order stuff I order good stuff and it's I guess the one thing I'd be fine with
- 57:49[SPEAKER_04]: From government would be predatory fees and shit like that because it's not part of the service.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_04]: You're just stealing money from people.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_04]: You know what I mean?
- 57:59[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_04]: That part I get.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_04]: Same thing with the tickets and whatnot.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_04]: like a concert venue tickets in general, the stuff that they're doing to try to curtail those stupid ass fees, that also makes sense to me.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, because it doesn't cost you anything.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_02]: And I hate it, but back to the affordability thing.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_02]: Let's take the airlines.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_02]: As you mentioned that, they're down to what, for how do you tell somebody to go out and invent another airline?
- 58:31[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's so fucking costly.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_04]: Well, there've been a number of new airlines pop up in the last 10 years since all this started to have.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_02]: But then, like, we'll take Womington and then they went away.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_02]: So, like, there was a fellow, do you remember of Vello still exists?
- 58:43[SPEAKER_02]: It does just not hear, and they're, they replaced it with a different one now.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they said they're shrinking back their services of Vello did.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but there's a new one in Wilmington a smaller airline that exists now.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_04]: Do you know they don't remember I don't remember But we took it down to Orlando one time.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_02]: I was gonna say yeah, they was going down like beach cities and shit like that But they've had problems or IP Hooters remember when Hooters have that airline Yeah, I mean that's I feel like instead of Hooters having it to an airline They should be and try they should be in charge of casting for all of the airlines
- 59:19[SPEAKER_02]: You gotta go through the hooters, casting them right there.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_04]: If you want to make that a federal agency, like get rid of the Department of Education, and get to the Department of Titties, and have Hooters and Char, all people who are in public, right?
- 59:33[SPEAKER_04]: Anybody that's in the service industry at all, you have to interview through Hooters.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_04]: And then of course, you know, we'll come up with a program to make sure that they're qualified to do that.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_04]: And by qualified, I mean, we'll get a fake titties.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_04]: Then, women, I don't give a shit who it is.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_02]: Who would you put in charge of that department?
- 59:54[SPEAKER_02]: I got a guy.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_02]: I come to the top of my mind.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_04]: Probably laser, or Gary, somebody like that?
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_04]: Well, laser is a good one.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_04]: I think I go... Gary is too much of a slob, probably.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_04]: He would accept too much work.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of piercings.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_04]: uh... charging now that's my recommended he's another guy that's dipped his his wick too much i need a guy that still has an appreciation you know what i mean but he's fuck dudes
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I don't want that.
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_02]: And, uh, well, like you just said, you want to put fake tits on the dude.
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_04]: No, I'm saying I don't care if they do or not, but that's not a priority for me.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_04]: And I don't want a guy that's, uh, involved in that.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_02]: But he's had sex with like 10,000 women do.
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's, I think.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_04]: No, I want a guy.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_04]: I want a guy who's got, um, experience, but also taste.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_04]: You cry.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_04]: That's not, that's not Charlie Sheen.
- 1:00:43[SPEAKER_04]: Come on.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_04]: But who is it then?
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_04]: Um, it's a good question, man.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_04]: We have to think about that.
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_04]: Half has gone.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_02]: Have his gone.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_02]: He's dead.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_02]: I would I would put him on the list for short.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_02]: She's the only one that says really You know, it's just been an elite Poonhound forever, dude.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_02]: Ever.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_02]: Nick Cage has been married.
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_02]: I also would have said him Johnny Dapp was married for like 20 years or whatever before he let that girl shit in his bed Who else is an elite stick man out there, dude?
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_04]: Um, yeah, that would might be, well, yeah, that's probably a good one to Capriol.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, the problem is I don't think that Women degrade at 25.
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_04]: I think they get better.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_04]: 25 to 45.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_04]: I actually 35 to 45 is peak in my opinion.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_04]: So that would
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_04]: we'd have to maybe he's a judge right uh and then maybe even Toby right Toby McGuire yeah he's he's pretty good yeah he's a wall he was in that put the pussy posse with those guys you know you know else I would say is uh the fly what's his name oh uh fuck dude uh I can think of his voice and he talks like this uh from Jurassic Park
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_02]: Jeff Goldblum, thank you.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_04]: Jeff Goldblum is an notorious poohinhound, and I don't think he discriminates.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_04]: on anything.
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_02]: I just think you'd get a bunch of weird, like, eclectic girls out of him with a kind of a foreign flair or something like that.
- 1:02:18[SPEAKER_02]: He's a jazz musician.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't think you're going to get, fuck, Tommy Lee's a good one.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_04]: Put Tommy Lee in charge of that department, dude, for sure.
- 1:02:29[SPEAKER_04]: He's been around the block a lot, but he's never, yeah, he's never compromised, I don't think.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_02]: right on the on the quality is what I mean Jesse did he get that my wife's just walked it did he get his new wife fake tits and all that shit that Bernie Furland chick Tommy Lee yeah yeah he got a rigged up yeah I don't know who that is
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_02]: uh... she was a in-sigramence influencer and uh... picked her off off the internet and they've got let's call it a thirty thirty thirty five year age gap you isn't it's fucking sixties yeah uh... but he's a good he'd be a good one uh... that's our last name uh... furlorn f-u-r-l-a-n she is thirty nine so yeah he's that's in the range
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_04]: So you will talk about how it was Tommy Lee?
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_04]: I don't care about what his ages.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just saying this, he have a discriminating eye for women who are in the full spectrum of attractiveness, right?
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_04]: Not just like, that's my problem with the caprio.
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_04]: You give up on a girl at 25, that's stupid.
- 1:03:37[SPEAKER_04]: She hasn't even learned how to fuck yet.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_04]: No, you know what I mean?
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I don't think we're fucking these women.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just saying that everybody should be a hooter's wagerous potential if you're doing any kind of service including the dudes.
- 1:03:48[SPEAKER_04]: That's all I'm saying.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's not that much to ask to be honest.
- 1:03:52[SPEAKER_02]: Tommy Lee is 63 years old.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_02]: Holy shit, too.
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_04]: The problem with him is like, is he going to give him all Hipsy because he's got it for sure.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and I don't want to deal with that shit.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_04]: It's, well, it's curable.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it's not going to affect me because I'm not banging any of him.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_04]: But I don't want to, I don't want the dragon, their fucking snail tracks across the seats and stuff like that with Hipsy all over.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_02]: Now, but they did, uh, they ended up here in Hepsie.
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_02]: So you're good.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's Gilly.
- 1:04:16[SPEAKER_02]: I'm really ad was the one.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_02]: That's a good, but like, they cured Hepsie.
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Pamela Anderson had it.
- 1:04:23[SPEAKER_02]: So that was part of that divorce, right?
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_02]: Where's like, I'm going to have to see from Tommy Lee, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, finally a company was able to secure it.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and he had the money for it too.
- 1:04:35[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 1:04:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:04:35[SPEAKER_02]: So I want to say those initial pills started like 20 grand and we're overseas and now they're just one pill.
- 1:04:42[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I think two.
- 1:04:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was like two pills or something like that.
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_02]: Um, yeah, that's some.
- 1:04:47[SPEAKER_02]: And that sweet dude fucking technology man.
- 1:04:49[SPEAKER_02]: Good for him.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, and the only reason I know this was because I actually, um, I had stock and Gillia.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_02]: And so I knew the trials were going on and
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_02]: uh... they seem to be the closest and it was uh... it was a bad and sure enough man when they cared it boom shot to the roof he went problem with those companies is uh... as soon as it's out you just rip it and so after ten years yeah so you know what's going to happen and all that other ships and uh... he would be a really fucking good one uh... maybe a cloney
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe a Clooney in that list, I don't know.
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_02]: He was a good stick man for a long time, man, before he got married.
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_02]: It's that foreign broad, who's the lawyer.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_02]: Isn't she American?
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_02]: And she's pretending to be foreign?
- 1:05:35[SPEAKER_02]: I think she was, eh, look that up.
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_04]: I thought she was the main rap.
- 1:05:41[SPEAKER_02]: She was like, she was like, she wraps all those,
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_02]: countries around the world for like war crimes and shit like that um she's she's she's Lebanese okay that's it um i've got a she's got a high-end position there and uh legally speaking and they move to France and you know he was saying it's because of her job it's a fucking lie but uh whatever man
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_02]: Martin Short would not be in a lead stick man to put in charge of fucking you talking about Jesus Jesse get your shit together No, no dude talking about fucking putting hot people in hot places and I agree with you on the fucking 25 thing, by the way I don't my Jesse never talk to this.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_02]: What do you talk to with them?
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_02]: Especially this a what do you do what what do you talk to a 25 year old about I don't I guess in your 40s all her dad and talked to him I yeah, right talking that bitch if you went to the restaurant and was like oh hey, let's let's meet the fam You can pair Pokemon cards, maybe you're the same age as the dad essentially Yeah, I can't do that guy that would weird me out, man
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_02]: I would fucking weird me out and then for all the reasons you listed like what do you fucking know it's 25 years old nothing nothing barely more than a car I was basically retarded until I was like 28 or 29 I can't remember what you year it was but I remember it was like you know the grunches hard group three times one time my brain grew like oh shit I got to stop doing everything I feel like it was 32 32 where I was just like all right I like I got shit figured out and I'm not doing
- 1:07:17[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but yeah, I hope we figure all this out, but like, that that's a lot to ask from Trump.
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_02]: Right now because this affordability shit in my opinion, man, isn't just, you know,
- 1:07:32[SPEAKER_02]: price of food, and all that other shit going through the roof, it's just what you do in your day-to-day life.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_04]: Nicola and Dime bullshit.
- 1:07:37[SPEAKER_04]: That's why they have those apps that track all the stuff you spend.
- 1:07:40[SPEAKER_02]: They're on our show for a couple of months, and yeah, I think they ended up missing some of the apps here and there, and then...
- 1:07:49[SPEAKER_02]: the the it's funny the companies themselves that i just i listed off with who loo and all those guys uh actually got together and started offering these weird bundle packages to kind of shut that shit down um because of people really knew what they were spending for the year and most people don't so you get with your CPA are you're on you know fucking rocket loan or whatever it is at the end and you're going through the numbers you're like oh shit dude
- 1:08:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'm spending fucking eight grand-year cable and all this other bullshit guys damn it fucking sucks But yeah, if you're out there and you're watching this on YouTube right now in the comments Talk about who who should be the in your opinion
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_02]: the head of the department of titties to for the United States of America.
- 1:08:37[SPEAKER_04]: I want your opinion out there who the the the best stick men for that uncle laser is a good one now that I think about yeah I mean you want to have somebody that's got a discerning eye for for physical beauty not just weird shit right I think lasers are right yeah uh... carries too far no carry carries too far uh... people are asking me by the way about carry and uh...
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_02]: uh... Joel his director and editor moved to europe so he's he's in your he got married uh... long time ago i think we're working on trying to get over here never happened so this still work i think they're still work on that it's just a process right now especially it's a difficult thing
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, because of war and all that other shit, so it's, yeah, she moved over to, was it check her public?
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_04]: I think so.
- 1:09:22[SPEAKER_04]: Right out.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_02]: So he's over there, and yeah, once he lost him, you haven't found a videographer and editor or whatever, so it's Gary, you know, but we're just lucky he's alive.
- 1:09:35[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure he'll figure it out.
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think he will too.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_02]: uh... but we'll see uh... right now is the point in the show we get to the drink in bro of the week you could submit on drink in bro's dot com and uh... while you're over there check out the bro box brev here fees fees fees not kidding uh... it's uh... we do it because we love you guys and it helps support the show whenever you wear our t-shirts and things like that out or the hats and everything else
- 1:10:08[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody figure out who drinking roses drink a rose podcast is and and we greatly appreciate it now on our end.
- 1:10:15[SPEAKER_02]: I will say this we try to make the highest in T-shirts and joggers and mugs and glasses and bro boxes and all that stuff possible.
- 1:10:23[SPEAKER_02]: So that way it's comfortable at last a long time.
- 1:10:25[SPEAKER_02]: uh... and you can wear it i think one of the biggest mistakes that companies make um... if i go to some place and they throw me a fucking guilty and t-shirt i throw that right in the garbage i will dry my car with it uh... and then i will throw it right in the fucking trash can do sorry i'm just not dealing with that fucking bullshit over there
- 1:10:44[SPEAKER_02]: uh... so we don't do any of that there's no gilding shirts or any of that bullshit on the site uh... you can also submit on the app uh... the app is free on iPhones and androids i wonder if it's on computers i'm gonna look it up real quick uh... while we're at it here because
- 1:11:03[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I'm curious about it.
- 1:11:05[SPEAKER_02]: We are talking to them about streaming and answering all over the shit, obviously, like I said earlier.
- 1:11:10[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see what happens.
- 1:11:13[SPEAKER_02]: But drinking bro of the week can be submitted through there, and then it gets emailed to us live on air.
- 1:11:22[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, man, comes right to us, too.
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_02]: The app is free, by the way.
- 1:11:27[SPEAKER_02]: There was some people asking about it, and it's free.
- 1:11:32[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, this one is, uh, oh, shit, this isn't anonymous, dude.
- 1:11:37[SPEAKER_02]: Um, all right, this, this, this, look, this is why we do this, man.
- 1:11:41[SPEAKER_02]: This is why Jared created Drinkabros and, and all those stuff.
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, anonymous, uh, says, hey guys, uh, you know, love the show, and, uh, and everything you guys do, uh, been listening since day one, uh, my mom died.
- 1:11:54[SPEAKER_02]: My head is a mess, I'm driving to my house, excuse me, at my home state trying to make it to her funeral.
- 1:12:01[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I'll be able to make it, I got 63 bucks in my bank accounts, but I'm trying my best.
- 1:12:08[SPEAKER_02]: I need to do this.
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_02]: have to do this.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_02]: How do I do this?
- 1:12:13[SPEAKER_02]: Fuck man, I don't know how people deal with this is first time I'm going through something like this and need some help here.
- 1:12:22[SPEAKER_02]: And some bunch of our listeners, I saw this post in Dream of Rose.
- 1:12:28[SPEAKER_02]: Again, it was anonymous, so yeah, look.
- 1:12:33[SPEAKER_02]: When a parent dies, it's happening to me.
- 1:12:35[SPEAKER_02]: There is a weird, weird sense of shock that you go through.
- 1:12:40[SPEAKER_02]: And the grieving process, usually isn't kick in for a couple of weeks, man, just to kind of process everything.
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_02]: Cause, you know, mom and dad raise you, potentially just your mom, potentially just your dad, whatever, right?
- 1:12:54[SPEAKER_02]: And it's a hard thing to wrap your mind around, I understand why this post is so discombobulated like this.
- 1:13:02[SPEAKER_02]: you're going through it it's hard to figure everything out and uh... and uh... there's some great drink of rose here who are helping them out all this stuff i'm reading this uh... and uh... yes your friends um... friends are always great obviously your family uh... is also great and uh... i recommend at these things i've been so many funerals my life and i'm sure you have to uh... to share the best memories about them when you're when you're doing this stuff and try not to make it
- 1:13:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's somber as possible if that's a word because for me, I don't know about you.
- 1:13:36[SPEAKER_02]: It at least helped me get through that process when somebody died either relative or a friend or something like that.
- 1:13:43[SPEAKER_02]: And usually,
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_02]: Bones, drinks are involved in by the end of the night.
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_02]: We're laughing about old stories about whoever the relative or friend was.
