- 0:55Speaker 1: It's usually through social media and through like the YouTube

- 2:07Speaker 3: comments on our last episode.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I saw one you want to on.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Well, that's that's on YouTube. We had seventy on YouTube,
- 2:17Speaker 3: which is great for YouTube. But then, as your tech
- 2:21Speaker 3: said last night, I add in the sixty plus that
- 2:24Speaker 3: we had on Spotify.
- 2:26Speaker 2: That's crazy work. A lot of PT.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Six Milk Team six, Semen Team six, the Goon Berets, YEP.
- 2:34Speaker 1: The Semen Team sixer is going through buds training right now,
- 2:36Speaker 1: breeding until.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Dad status come on.
- 2:38Speaker 1: There's a lot of verbiage we use on this show
- 2:41Speaker 1: that we know that the community has has taken to YEP.
- 2:45Speaker 1: So again, if you are new, welcome for the Dads.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I did see a quote. You actually sent this to me.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I went and I went and dove in and found
- 2:54Speaker 1: the comment and I love the segment idea.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Do you want to share the segment idea?
- 2:59Speaker 3: Yeah, this segment idea is just Dan Gable quotes segment
- 3:04Speaker 3: segment on four.
- 3:04Speaker 1: The Dad's Podcast is dan ca dan Gable quote. Dan
- 3:08Speaker 1: Gable quotes?
- 3:09Speaker 2: Why not?
- 3:10Speaker 3: And I will say when I was as a bit
- 3:13Speaker 3: to like do a dan Gable quote to you, when
- 3:16Speaker 3: I googled it, there was a good like forty or fifty.
- 3:19Speaker 3: So that's at least, you know, forty episodes worth of content.
- 3:23Speaker 2: It's a great idea. There's nothing like a good dan
- 3:28Speaker 2: Gable quote.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Matter of fact, I'm gonna save a dan Gable quote
- 3:30Speaker 1: for just a lesson quote topic at the end.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Of the episode.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Do you have a dan and so fourth, I have
- 3:35Speaker 3: a great one. Okay, good, I have a great one.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I also have one just to just to shout out
- 3:40Speaker 1: off the top of the episode.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Please the first period is one.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Ay and guys, if you don't know who Dan Gable is,
- 3:46Speaker 1: number one Q just kids show. Just bleep myself out.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Get to know Dan Gable. This is a guy. This
- 3:54Speaker 1: is a mindset of mentality, a discipline. That's a guy
- 3:58Speaker 1: that you want to learn from.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Can I shot?
- 4:01Speaker 3: Can I shout out my friend Dustin McLoughlin that put
- 4:03Speaker 3: me onto Dan Gable and said God to bring up
- 4:06Speaker 3: Dan Gable to Will hill Nutt.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Yeah, believe me Dan Gables Like that's like, that's Lord.
- 4:13Speaker 1: If you mentioned dan Gable to me, I'm thinking, oh,
- 4:15Speaker 1: we just connected on a deeper level. Yeah, because I
- 4:17Speaker 1: feel like I do walk amongst around people that have
- 4:20Speaker 1: no clue who Dan Gable is, and that's sad to me. Yes,
- 4:23Speaker 1: because we again the VHS tape cycle with this was
- 4:26Speaker 1: a dan Gable family grow We were we were wrestling.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I didn't like wrestling, but my dad made us wrestle.
- 4:31Speaker 1: My brother was a stud at it. We were a
- 4:33Speaker 1: wrestling family. You're a wrestling family. You know who Dan
- 4:36Speaker 1: Gable is? Yeah, I got one off the top. This
- 4:38Speaker 1: one's on uh, this one's on wrestling and effort. The
- 4:42Speaker 1: first period is one by the technician. The second period
- 4:48Speaker 1: is one by the kid in the best shape in
- 4:50Speaker 1: the third period, the third period, the final period is
- 4:55Speaker 1: one by the kid with the biggest heart.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Three's up up, Get your threes up. Damn. This is like,
- 5:03Speaker 2: this is fatherhood right here. That really is love.
- 5:07Speaker 3: I love it because it's all facets of wrestling. He
- 5:10Speaker 3: just covered all facets.
- 5:11Speaker 1: All facets and encapsulated it inside of fatherhood. The first
- 5:15Speaker 1: ten years is one by the best technician. We are teaching.
- 5:19Speaker 1: We are teaching these young kids, Our young kids, our
- 5:22Speaker 1: little our babies are toddlers? What do they call them
- 5:25Speaker 1: once they get like out of the toddler face?
- 5:27Speaker 2: Ankle biters?
- 5:30Speaker 3: This is about are they called teaching them technique of
- 5:33Speaker 3: how to operate in life?
- 5:35Speaker 1: The second period, the second decade is one by the
- 5:38Speaker 1: kid in the best shape who fundamentally and foundationally Is
- 5:42Speaker 1: this kid gonna be ten through twenty and then beyond
- 5:45Speaker 1: that once they graduate college, it's gonna be one by
- 5:48Speaker 1: the kid with the biggest heart. Come on, all these
- 5:49Speaker 1: values and all these principles that we teach them, that
- 5:52Speaker 1: is what's going to carry them and make them the
- 5:55Speaker 1: man or the woman that they're gonna be throughout the
- 5:57Speaker 1: rest of life.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Come on, man, hey, say something that really pisses me
- 6:02Speaker 3: off that you just reminded me of with that whole
- 6:05Speaker 3: dan Gable thing, the saying a jack of all trades
- 6:08Speaker 3: is a master of none or whatever?
- 6:11Speaker 2: Yes, you know what I'm saying.
- 6:13Speaker 3: What is up with that? Why can't you be good
- 6:16Speaker 3: at a bunch of shit?
- 6:17Speaker 2: You can? How would that not be helpful or beneficial? Oh?
- 6:21Speaker 2: Super successful people are only good at one thing.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I feel like jack of all trades, master of none
- 6:26Speaker 1: is kind of like a there's a go go ahead,
- 6:29Speaker 1: the Derek jump in here.
- 6:30Speaker 4: There's just a common thing with that quote's not finished,
- 6:33Speaker 4: and so it always says, but it's always better than
- 6:35Speaker 4: a master of one. Okay, thanks, there is an ending.
- 6:39Speaker 2: I'm glad.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Yeah, a jack of all trades is a master of none,
- 6:43Speaker 4: but oftentimes better than a master of one is the
- 6:45Speaker 4: full actual quote that people never finish.
- 6:48Speaker 3: You can be great and more more than just that's
- 6:52Speaker 3: been that's been grinding my gears toward literal years.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Dude, I'm like, what the fuck does that mean?
- 6:58Speaker 1: When I saw your piss hot about that, I'm thinking
- 7:01Speaker 1: to myself, I think that that, you know, I usually
- 7:04Speaker 1: think like the jack of all trades, master of notnehing
- 7:06Speaker 1: Like that's like a nod of that's kind of where
- 7:08Speaker 1: you want to be. You you can be better than
- 7:10Speaker 1: just being a master of filling the bottle with milk.
- 7:13Speaker 3: God, I'm one, I'm so glad that I misunderstood or
- 7:17Speaker 3: didn't have the full quote, and two that I went
- 7:20Speaker 3: against the grain. I really thought I was being rebellious
- 7:23Speaker 3: by like, hey, maybe being good at a bunch of
- 7:25Speaker 3: stuff is actually a really good thing.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Maybe that's good.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Read the headline didn't finish. It didn't finish the article.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Read the headline didn't finish the article.
- 7:36Speaker 2: What's this bull shit? This shows four jack of all
- 7:39Speaker 2: trades fathers.
- 7:39Speaker 1: This isn't just mastering taking out the trash, showing to
- 7:42Speaker 1: work and be like I'm the bread winner when I
- 7:44Speaker 1: get home. Yes, it's about being a jack of all trades.
- 7:47Speaker 1: You do the dishes, you clean the kitchen, pick up
- 7:49Speaker 1: the toys, you do bedtime, you make the beds, you
- 7:53Speaker 1: do all the things.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Along with your wife, along with your partner. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 7:56Speaker 2: team team teams, he king. This is Papa Team's six standard. Fellow,
- 8:01Speaker 2: Can I do a really really really quick shout out?
- 8:04Speaker 1: Please do because we do shout outs throughout the end week.
- 8:06Speaker 1: This is a special one.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Okay.
- 8:08Speaker 3: This was for at Jared Beeman's comedy show, which I'm sure,
- 8:12Speaker 3: well we might talk a little bit about that.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Bring a Lee. Yes, did you meet Lee? Yeah?
- 8:19Speaker 3: Lee?
- 8:20Speaker 2: God, dude, Lee's got to come on the show.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Oh oh, you're talking about comedian Lee. Comedian Lee needs
- 8:27Speaker 3: to come on the show. He's incredible. I'm talking about.
- 8:30Speaker 3: This is also Lee, who is a PT Sixer's his
- 8:37Speaker 3: daughter was born with a bunch of complications. There's a
- 8:42Speaker 3: there's a lot in that that I'll just to keep
- 8:45Speaker 3: it short. Finding a babysitters really hard for them. And
- 8:49Speaker 3: they were gonna come to Jared's show, both of them
- 8:51Speaker 3: because WiFi and husband, because they wanted to say what's
- 8:55Speaker 3: up to us? Because they're big for the dad's fans.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Babysitter canceled empty six Er says, you gotta go leave,
- 9:04Speaker 3: like I'll hold down the fort. You gotta go say
- 9:07Speaker 3: what up to the boys? Go enjoy the comedy night.
- 9:10Speaker 3: So I got to meet Lee and he literally said,
- 9:13Speaker 3: do not shout me out at all, which I'm breaking
- 9:17Speaker 3: that rule. He was like, I really just wanted you
- 9:18Speaker 3: to shout out my daughter. So shout out to Lee
- 9:22Speaker 3: Lee Rose, who is his little girl and they have
- 9:27Speaker 3: a precious little family.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Pick Lee was the man. Dude.
- 9:31Speaker 3: It made my night getting to meet Lee and shout
- 9:35Speaker 3: out six or Lee's wife. You're such a stud break
- 9:39Speaker 3: time play for going. Hey, you know what, baby Sarah
- 9:42Speaker 3: canceled last second And.
- 9:43Speaker 2: You said her canceled last second? Yes, And she literally said,
- 9:47Speaker 2: go have fun, go have a night. That's tough, dude.
- 9:50Speaker 2: The babysitter canceling a second.
- 9:52Speaker 1: I know, and you said it's been hard for him
- 9:53Speaker 1: to find a babysitter because of stuff with their.
- 9:58Speaker 3: She has a several palsy, the daughter. I'll reach out
- 10:03Speaker 3: to him and make sure that I can share all that.
- 10:04Speaker 3: I would assume so because he had shared a bunch
- 10:08Speaker 3: of pictures and their story. But yeah, dude, just very humbling.
- 10:14Speaker 3: It was like what I talked with you at brunch
- 10:16Speaker 3: about of just getting to meet some of these parents
- 10:20Speaker 3: and hear their stories and like seeing pictures and videos
- 10:25Speaker 3: from the hospital and like, I'm starting to tear up,
- 10:29Speaker 3: so I'll keep it short, but like, there's really good
- 10:31Speaker 3: people out there. There's some really good parents out there,
- 10:34Speaker 3: and the fact that we even get to touch and
- 10:37Speaker 3: meet some of these incredible parents is such a humbling,
- 10:42Speaker 3: awesome experience.
- 10:45Speaker 2: I love the show. Yeah, that's it. I'm with you.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I see the tears. I appreciate the tears too, because
- 10:50Speaker 1: you're you're just spot on. You hear so many stories
- 10:55Speaker 1: and get to talk to so many different parents who
- 10:57Speaker 1: have stories that are you know, almost feels like you
- 11:01Speaker 1: feel undeserving at times. Two right now, we have like
- 11:06Speaker 1: I have two kiddos that are both healthy and then sorry,
- 11:12Speaker 1: I'm laughing because I'm feeling myself here up as well.
- 11:14Speaker 2: But you just hear what parents go through.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Yes, and dude, there are grinders out there, bro brinders
- 11:21Speaker 1: that have just that go through things that are so
- 11:25Speaker 1: different from like the majority of parents that hopefully everybody
- 11:29Speaker 1: has healthy kids, but that's not the reality.
- 11:32Speaker 2: And just to feel their energy.
- 11:35Speaker 1: And personality, appreciation, their gratitude for everything, and just excitement
- 11:40Speaker 1: when you're just like God, Lee, man, it seems like
- 11:43Speaker 1: you go through the gutter, like you go through shit
- 11:46Speaker 1: to where I can't I can only imagine like being
- 11:50Speaker 1: in your shoes with some of these stories that I hear. Yeah,
- 11:53Speaker 1: just makes us.
- 11:54Speaker 2: I know.
- 11:55Speaker 1: So Sherman and I we had our first little brunch together,
- 11:57Speaker 1: we had a little daddy daughter date. But we're kind
- 11:59Speaker 1: of having the conversation on the stories and the comments
- 12:03Speaker 1: and the stuff that the parents out there share with
- 12:05Speaker 1: us that you just kind of it's it's like just
- 12:08Speaker 1: one of those step back things of one gratitude and
- 12:11Speaker 1: then it just again it feels like, uh.
- 12:16Speaker 2: It makes us appreciate.
- 12:19Speaker 1: What we have with our kiddo's And then also, I know,
- 12:22Speaker 1: For me, it feels like you feel undeserving at times
- 12:25Speaker 1: to be in a spot to where people are thinking
- 12:27Speaker 1: you about stuff.
- 12:28Speaker 2: And I know people are, oh, you're overthinking that, YadA YadA. Yeah,
- 12:31Speaker 2: I understand that.
- 12:31Speaker 1: It's just like the feeling that I have because you're
- 12:33Speaker 1: just like your heart goes out to these fighters that
- 12:35Speaker 1: are out there.
- 12:36Speaker 3: It is raising kids the best way they can. They
- 12:38Speaker 3: have to just have to they have to have these ego.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Deaths with themselves because they just understand and accept, hey,
- 12:44Speaker 1: we are in a different situation.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Yes, dude, meeting such selfless people.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Uh, And it is very grounding, like and not that
- 12:54Speaker 3: I'm like lost in the sauce of all the world news,
- 12:56Speaker 3: but like the world is so fast moving and there's
- 13:00Speaker 3: always a different thing on social media and blah blah blah.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Getting to like read some of these stories like we
- 13:04Speaker 3: do on the show, or meet PT sixers out in
- 13:07Speaker 3: the wild, hearing their stories, it's just so grounding and
- 13:11Speaker 3: a reminder that like there are incredible humans out there
- 13:15Speaker 3: and they do. Just seeing the picture of his family
- 13:19Speaker 3: and uh, I just think to myself, I look at
- 13:22Speaker 3: those kids, and I go, they're so lucky.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Yeah, they have such.
- 13:25Speaker 3: Loving parents, and god, it just makes my very happy.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Yeah, and because you know that there are also bad
- 13:35Speaker 1: parents out there, yes, like kids that you know, kids
- 13:38Speaker 1: from all different ranges can have bad parents, oh for sure.
- 13:42Speaker 1: And you knowing that this kid is going through something
- 13:44Speaker 1: what'd you say, ceubral palsy. Yes, like this kid has
- 13:48Speaker 1: has something going on, and they have these incredible people
- 13:51Speaker 1: looking after them.
- 13:52Speaker 2: You're just you're thankful for the kid.
- 13:53Speaker 1: You're you're appreciative that the kid has these parents because
- 13:57Speaker 1: very easily, Like it's not it's it's not rare to
- 14:00Speaker 1: have bad parents out there.
- 14:02Speaker 2: It's around us all the time. That's that's more common. Yeah,
- 14:06Speaker 2: that's more common.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Yeah, and so it is really cool and it's uh yeah, humbling,
- 14:12Speaker 3: I keep on saying humbling, but it's just like such
- 14:15Speaker 3: a cool reminder. I was telling Will, I was like,
- 14:17Speaker 3: I feel like such a phony that.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Uh.
- 14:20Speaker 3: The only thing we got worried about was Scarlet is
- 14:22Speaker 3: that she has a tear duct.
- 14:24Speaker 1: That's crew had one of those tear ducks so where
- 14:27Speaker 1: we'd have to massage your eye with like a like
- 14:29Speaker 1: a warm rag.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Yeah, she had like a tear duck for like.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I know, it was maybe going into two years old,
- 14:35Speaker 1: but like a year and as long as a year
- 14:36Speaker 1: and a half at least, I believe. I know, my
- 14:38Speaker 1: wife might fact check me on that, but yeah.
- 14:41Speaker 3: And I'm sitting there in the morning's going i gotta
- 14:45Speaker 3: go get a hot rag. Oh my god, she's got
- 14:47Speaker 3: so many iboggers. Oh my god, I'm gonna have to
- 14:50Speaker 3: wipe all this down. There's another parent that's breaking out
- 14:54Speaker 3: the wheelchair, breaking out the ramp to the you know,
- 14:58Speaker 3: mini van, getting kiddo in there, getting them to pt,
- 15:02Speaker 3: getting them to that. And guess what that parents still
- 15:05Speaker 3: making it early to their job. They're kicking asset.
- 15:08Speaker 2: It's just like.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Handling all the nonsense that goes on at the workplace,
- 15:12Speaker 1: coming home, checking out, making sure they turn that off
- 15:15Speaker 1: while they get back to raising their kid.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Dude, shout out those parents. Yeah, we are so blessed
- 15:21Speaker 3: and lucky. If you listen to the show and you
- 15:24Speaker 3: were in that boat, I just want to shout out,
- 15:26Speaker 3: you are literally angels.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Your angels. Yeah, yeah, I just wanted to.
- 15:30Speaker 3: I want to get that off my chest right quick.
- 15:33Speaker 3: Could be an emotional episode, Yeah what that could be
- 15:36Speaker 3: an emotional episode'm I think I'm pass it, but shout
- 15:40Speaker 3: out Lead the comedian too. He was great. We should
- 15:44Speaker 3: have him on the show.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Yeah, we need to get Lead the comedian on the show.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Have I ever told the story about Rue having a
- 15:51Speaker 1: a seizure?
- 15:53Speaker 2: Not on the show?
- 15:54Speaker 1: Have not told it on the show? No, Rue had
- 15:56Speaker 1: a seizure when she was about a year and a half.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Fold I think again.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I know my wife is listening, but Rue had a
- 16:04Speaker 1: seizure at the daycare she was at, and Buddy, the
- 16:09Speaker 1: scariest thing in my life. Yeah, the scary, the most
- 16:15Speaker 1: terrifying thing ever. Like I remember the daycare lady called
- 16:18Speaker 1: in an absolute panic. The firefighter had to end up
- 16:20Speaker 1: taking the phone from her and just let me know
- 16:22Speaker 1: what was going on with Rue, and so much emotion.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Is just I was standing right over there. This is
- 16:26Speaker 1: when we just had this side of the shop. We
- 16:28Speaker 1: didn't have the other side of the shop. Everything was
- 16:30Speaker 1: in house right here, and I remember standing up over
- 16:33Speaker 1: over the table like taking this phone call and just
- 16:36Speaker 1: a panic going because at first I'm wondering, I wonder
- 16:38Speaker 1: why the daycare lady is calling me right now because
- 16:42Speaker 1: I knew Charle was the one that was going to
- 16:43Speaker 1: be picking Ru up later that day. Yeah, yeah, and
- 16:48Speaker 1: they say, hey, Rue, Rue's awake right now, so everything
- 16:53Speaker 1: is okay. We believe that she had a caesar. She's
- 16:55Speaker 1: very she's very out of it right now. She's she's
- 16:57Speaker 1: not like responding verbally or anything else. She's kind of
- 17:00Speaker 1: just sitting there. We're going to rush her to the er,
- 17:02Speaker 1: to the hospital. And I called my wife. She's just
- 17:06Speaker 1: getting out of the shower because she had missed calls,
- 17:08Speaker 1: and she just missed the calls. And we are obviously
- 17:13Speaker 1: sprinting to the hospital. I'm coming from here, Charles, coming
- 17:17Speaker 1: from home. In the whole thought in my head again
- 17:21Speaker 1: I hate it could be an emotional episode, but the
- 17:25Speaker 1: whole thought in my head like as I'm driving, I
- 17:27Speaker 1: had just lost I had lost my mom the December before,
- 17:32Speaker 1: because this was my I lost my mom the December
- 17:34Speaker 1: before Rue was Rue was born. Ru was born in April.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Saw him driving over just thinking like, you know, they
- 17:42Speaker 1: had her plugged up to IVS and everything like this
- 17:45Speaker 1: in this ambulance. Bro one year old in an ambulance,
- 17:48Speaker 1: just envisioning that in your head and knowing that mom
- 17:51Speaker 1: and dad. Mom and dad aren't around her, and I'm
- 17:54Speaker 1: driving just thinking, Yo, if I were to lose.
- 18:02Speaker 2: If I were to lose my daughter with all that
- 18:05Speaker 2: going with.
- 18:05Speaker 1: You know, everything the year that we had had, yeah, yeah,
- 18:08Speaker 1: and everybody. You know, I've shared a lot of stuff
- 18:11Speaker 1: about my mom, but to go like I had no
- 18:14Speaker 1: clue what I was driving into. We run in the er,
- 18:18Speaker 1: we run in the hospital. Rue is just her little
- 18:21Speaker 1: body is plugged up. I'm talking IV's needles, everything to
- 18:24Speaker 1: try to get her vitals and everything else, and she's
- 18:26Speaker 1: just unresponsive. Bro Like, she's not crying. She's just like naked,
- 18:30Speaker 1: laying on the table. And dude, it was nuts. It
- 18:42Speaker 1: was nuts, man Like Charo was sitting there holding her
- 18:44Speaker 1: little hand and she's looking at us. But again, there's
- 18:46Speaker 1: nothing that's coming Like, you know, she's probably scared, she's not.
- 18:51Speaker 1: There's no emotion coming out of it. And I'm bawling
- 18:55Speaker 1: behind Charo. Oh dude, Like we're obviously both crying, but
- 18:58Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm like, basis side myself that you're just
- 19:02Speaker 1: seeing this happen. She had to stay overnight, she had
- 19:05Speaker 1: to sleep, she had to get all this stuff attached
- 19:06Speaker 1: to her brain, and uh, still over night to see
- 19:10Speaker 1: if this is something that's gonna be reoccurring, or if
- 19:13Speaker 1: it was a one off, like we don't know what
- 19:15Speaker 1: it was, or trying to check all the levels.
- 19:17Speaker 2: They believed that she had a seizure.
- 19:19Speaker 1: But they didn't know at the time, like when the
- 19:20Speaker 1: firefighter called, So you just don't know what's happening, like
- 19:24Speaker 1: she has a pulse, she's breathing, she's okay, yeah, and do.
- 19:29Speaker 2: That experience was.
- 19:33Speaker 1: To see your baby going through something like that, and
- 19:35Speaker 1: we went to the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital just to think
- 19:37Speaker 1: about parents that go through a situation like that daily
- 19:41Speaker 1: weekly or you never know what's gonna pop up the
- 19:44Speaker 1: next time, and you just hope that hey they're checked
- 19:46Speaker 1: out right now and we might need to look for this.
- 19:48Speaker 1: We'll have to bring them back to check blood levels.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Like you just see your kid go through this stuff. Man,
- 19:53Speaker 1: that that moment was uh yeah, that's uh. It brings
- 19:58Speaker 1: back a little like you just have PETA and if
- 20:00Speaker 1: something you feel like might happen to rue because you
- 20:02Speaker 1: just don't know.
- 20:03Speaker 2: They believe it was a one off. They're like, you know, we.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Talked to one doctor that said this kid, this happened
- 20:08Speaker 1: with their kid, like you know, if it happens before
- 20:11Speaker 1: certain age. I'm just throwing it out there. Again, we're
- 20:13Speaker 1: not experts on the show whatsoever, but if it's weird
- 20:17Speaker 1: or not, if it's before three, this could be something
- 20:19Speaker 1: that's one off. Like we'll just we'll continue to follow
- 20:22Speaker 1: up like every week or two and if if she
- 20:24Speaker 1: gets you know, a certain time without having another one,
- 20:28Speaker 1: then that tells them it's not gonna be some reoccurring
- 20:30Speaker 1: thing to where she might have to take meds or
- 20:31Speaker 1: something like that.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, it was crazy. It was crazy.
- 20:37Speaker 3: I can't even imagine very funny too, because you've told
- 20:41Speaker 3: me that story before I died.
- 20:43Speaker 2: I mean, you didn't tear up the first time you
- 20:45Speaker 2: told it to me.
- 20:46Speaker 1: But walking through it and again, like in my head
- 20:49Speaker 1: as I'm walking through taking the phone call, I can
- 20:52Speaker 1: still visualize. I can visualize every detail that day, on
- 20:55Speaker 1: getting in the car, speeding to the hospital, walking in
- 20:58Speaker 1: those hallways. I see at the end of the hallway,
- 21:01Speaker 1: I'm like where she has She's like she's over here,
- 21:02Speaker 1: and we're just running in there. And then you just
- 21:04Speaker 1: see your little You just see your baby bro plugged
- 21:07Speaker 1: into absolutely everything, and it is uh yeah.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Hearing that that now with Scarlet. That's just a way
- 21:15Speaker 3: that's like a completely different story. Now that's crazy.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Yeah, man, I'm.
- 21:21Speaker 3: So sorry that y'all had to go through that, but
- 21:23Speaker 3: also just makes me so happy just thinking of like
- 21:26Speaker 3: our brunch and just like seeing room now.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Oh bro, she's so full of personality. And even the
- 21:33Speaker 1: next morning, it's like as a parent, you're stressed the
- 21:37Speaker 1: entire time. Like when she's kind of coming out of
- 21:39Speaker 1: whatever it is, she's not like fully there.
- 21:43Speaker 2: You know, I go and get us some because we
- 21:45Speaker 2: pulling over.
- 21:46Speaker 1: You know, we're like we're just like staying at the hospital,
- 21:49Speaker 1: and I go and pick us up some Chick fil
- 21:51Speaker 1: A and come back and try You're trying to get
- 21:52Speaker 1: her to eat a little bit of food, whether they
- 21:55Speaker 1: have apple sauce at the hospital or whatever it is, milk,
- 21:58Speaker 1: And then to wake up the next one and kind
- 22:00Speaker 1: of see her like crawling around having a smile on
- 22:02Speaker 1: her face even though she's connected to all of this
- 22:04Speaker 1: stuff with her brain, but just to feel a little
- 22:07Speaker 1: bit of that relief because they're smiling, because you wake
- 22:09Speaker 1: up and you're kind of just, hey, how she doing?
- 22:11Speaker 2: Do we have any checkups?
- 22:12Speaker 1: You're like wanting to ask the doctor so many chois
- 22:15Speaker 1: or get him to keep coming in every five minutes
- 22:16Speaker 1: and know if there's an update going on. Yeah, and
- 22:19Speaker 1: but just to see you're in like good spirits. It's
- 22:23Speaker 1: it was just such a weight feeling like it was
- 22:25Speaker 1: lifted off, like you started to have like optimism about
- 22:27Speaker 1: what could be. You know that we're just gonna have
- 22:30Speaker 1: good news. I guess when the doctor comes in. Yeah,
- 22:34Speaker 1: but that was such a relief. But dude, our brunch,
- 22:37Speaker 1: seeing the seeing rou operate, seeing rou operate with Uncle
- 22:40Speaker 1: Shrham was a fascinating sight to see. We went to
- 22:45Speaker 1: Stay Golden, no free shoutouts to Stay Golden here and
- 22:47Speaker 1: here in like West Nashville off off of fifty first
- 22:51Speaker 1: shout out to them. They have some good coffee.
- 22:52Speaker 2: They won me back.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Man, I know you had a bad first experience. This
- 22:57Speaker 1: was your second time. I can only imagine when I said, hey,
- 22:59Speaker 1: stay gold and what was probably going through your body
- 23:01Speaker 1: based on what you based on your the first experience
- 23:05Speaker 1: that you had getting some cold food, getting some service,
- 23:07Speaker 1: that was a little yeah, that was a little sus
- 23:09Speaker 1: I've had nothing but good experiences with.
- 23:11Speaker 3: They blew me away on the second and not to
- 23:14Speaker 3: divert the story. I apologize, but they blew me away.
- 23:17Speaker 3: I am fully on board with Stay Golden. Yeah, but
- 23:20Speaker 3: Sherman and I we planned out a daddy daughter date
- 23:23Speaker 3: and daddy daughter lunch or brunch.
- 23:26Speaker 1: We go over to State Golden. Uncle Sheram's ripping around
- 23:29Speaker 1: with Scarlet. She's in the she's in the stroller. I
- 23:32Speaker 1: have Scott, Zilla, Scottie and Roue with me. Oh yeah,
- 23:36Speaker 1: there's a nice little line there. But we got seated
- 23:38Speaker 1: at this table and it was dude. Rue was on
- 23:40Speaker 1: one hunt r was on ten bro the entire time
- 23:43Speaker 1: with Uncle Sherham, the entire time with Uncle Sherman.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Scotty was on her best behavior.
- 23:46Speaker 1: She was eating, you know, she was trying to put
- 23:48Speaker 1: food in Scarlet's little cup that's attached to the stroller.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Scarlet was on her best behavior, dude, she was kind
- 23:54Speaker 1: of just chilling the entire time. Ru's playing with her,
- 23:58Speaker 1: Scotty's eating her food.
- 24:00Speaker 3: I was about to say that was my favorite part
- 24:02Speaker 3: is Rue was playing with me a bunch, But it
- 24:05Speaker 3: was I was not like the center of her attention.
- 24:08Speaker 3: It was really Scarlet. It was so cool to get
- 24:12Speaker 3: to watch Rue, who's three. Yeah, three, Just why does
- 24:18Speaker 3: she have two jackets on her? Because I forgot a blanket,
- 24:21Speaker 3: go dad, So I got Jill's jacket that she left
- 24:24Speaker 3: in my car in Scarlet's jacket and put it on
- 24:27Speaker 3: Scarlet like a blanket. I was like, well, this is
- 24:31Speaker 3: this is Scarlet's jacket, the fuzzy one, and this bigger
- 24:34Speaker 3: one is her mom's jacket. And I'm using it like
- 24:38Speaker 3: a blanket. And she goes, you need to put the
- 24:41Speaker 3: fuzzy jacket on her feet to make them warm. And
- 24:45Speaker 3: then Scarlett, your mama's jacket will go here, and she's
- 24:48Speaker 3: like going into full like maternal like the baby. And
- 24:53Speaker 3: I'm like, god, this is so cool watching her. And
- 24:55Speaker 3: she's like, Scarlett, can.
- 24:57Speaker 2: You blow kisses?
- 24:58Speaker 3: Can you blow kisses? And I'm just seeing like the
- 25:02Speaker 3: love and the playful stuff that you and Charro have
- 25:04Speaker 3: put into Rue and then seeing Rue then doing that
- 25:07Speaker 3: to Scarlet, yeah, like kind of mimicking that behavior. It's like, dude,
- 25:12Speaker 3: this is so sick just to like see play out.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Right, just to like witness like development. And You're like, man,
- 25:20Speaker 1: I can't believe you're three, because again you got to
- 25:23Speaker 1: do all these you got to do all these things
- 25:25Speaker 1: to help Rue communicate with Scotty or be around Scotty
- 25:29Speaker 1: when Scotty's like pissing her off and doing stuff like, hey,
- 25:31Speaker 1: she doesn't mean this, like she just wants to play
- 25:33Speaker 1: with you. Yeah, you know, and she'll obviously sees us
- 25:36Speaker 1: communicate with both of them. But you got to be
- 25:39Speaker 1: on your p's and q's with Rue.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Now.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Last night I was on Charlie was working until like
- 25:44Speaker 1: six thirty. This usually this happens every Monday, and I
- 25:48Speaker 1: forgot to wash Rue's hair on Sunday night when it
- 25:51Speaker 1: was bathtime, and I could tell Mama was not happy
- 25:55Speaker 1: about that. She's like, well, why didn't she? Oh, She's
- 25:57Speaker 1: like she came up when Charle got done. Charle did something,
- 26:02Speaker 1: whether it was with Scotty or was coming up to
- 26:04Speaker 1: say good night to Rue. You know, it was kind
- 26:06Speaker 1: of looking at Rue and I am warming Rue up
- 26:08Speaker 1: with the towel and everything else. She was like, oh,
- 26:10Speaker 1: your hair dry, drive pretty fast? Oh gosh, is your
- 26:13Speaker 1: hair dry already? Drive pretty fast? And she's talking to
- 26:16Speaker 1: she's talking to Rue, but I know that she's talking.
- 26:18Speaker 1: She's basically asking me, like why is her hair drying?
- 26:21Speaker 1: What's going on with that I didn't, Oh, I didn't
- 26:23Speaker 1: wash your hair her hair tonight, and she's like, well
- 26:25Speaker 1: why not.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I was like, she said she was tired and she
- 26:29Speaker 2: wanted to go lay down.
- 26:31Speaker 1: And I'm thinking in my head when she when Rue
- 26:33Speaker 1: gave me that, I was like, oh, let's do a
- 26:34Speaker 1: body We'll just wash your body bits and bits. You
- 26:37Speaker 1: can make it quick. You want to go lay down,
- 26:39Speaker 1: I'll get you to lay down because it's bedtime. Yeah,
- 26:42Speaker 1: And so she was on me about She's like, sweetheart,
- 26:46Speaker 1: you're you're in control.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Like she needed to wash her hair.
- 26:48Speaker 1: She hadn't washed her hair since like early last week,
- 26:51Speaker 1: and she's been telling me that their heads it, you know.
- 26:52Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, I was just thinking, like it doesn't
- 26:55Speaker 1: look greasy or nothing like that, Like her hair looks fine.
- 27:00Speaker 1: This is one where I felt like I could have
- 27:01Speaker 1: just done a body a body shower, a body bath
- 27:04Speaker 1: with her. My sweeter, Is your head itchy? She's like, no,
- 27:07Speaker 1: her head's not itchy. She's telling me right now, heads not.
- 27:11Speaker 2: You heard her.
- 27:12Speaker 1: She's like she's been itching her head, Like these last
- 27:15Speaker 1: couple of days, have you been itching your head over
- 27:17Speaker 1: the weekend?
- 27:17Speaker 2: She's like no, she hadn't been itching her head moment.
- 27:23Speaker 1: It's all good and char was on that, you know,
- 27:27Speaker 1: residual effect from that. After Rue goes down, I'm talking
- 27:30Speaker 1: to me and I'm like, sweetheart, look, i'll give her
- 27:32Speaker 1: bath tomorrow.
- 27:33Speaker 2: It's all good.
- 27:34Speaker 1: You won't have to give her bath. I'll give her
- 27:35Speaker 1: a bath tomorrow. I'll wash your hair.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Well.
- 27:36Speaker 2: She's like, well, she also does bath.
- 27:38Speaker 1: She also does a bath, like after a swim lesson
- 27:41Speaker 1: on Tuesday, I'll give her a third bath. I'll give
- 27:43Speaker 1: her third bath where you don't have dude or Audi
- 27:45Speaker 1: will be able to give her a bath after swim lesson.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Yeah. Either way, sweetheart, you won't have to do it.
- 27:48Speaker 2: You won't have to do anything.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll make sure that hair gets washed before swim
- 27:53Speaker 1: lesson on Tuesday.
- 27:55Speaker 2: I'll make sure of it.
- 27:57Speaker 1: So fast forward to Monday, when I got home and
- 27:59Speaker 1: I'm with the kiddles, I'm like, hey, Rue, She's like, daddad,
- 28:01Speaker 1: can I do a TV coupon? Like you can do
- 28:03Speaker 1: a TV coupon, but we have to listen to me.
- 28:06Speaker 1: We have to wash your hair before mama gets home.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Dinner's gonna be ready, everything's gonna you're gonna be in
- 28:12Speaker 1: your pj's, your pajamas, and you're gonna be ready to
- 28:15Speaker 1: go when Mama walks in that door, because she's gonna
- 28:17Speaker 1: know Daddad took care of it.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Hey, I heard you loud and clear you wanted her
- 28:20Speaker 2: hair washed.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Dad.
- 28:20Speaker 2: It's gonna get her hair washed.
- 28:21Speaker 1: And it's not gonna come after dinner time when we're
- 28:24Speaker 1: all at home and she's like, well, are you gonna
- 28:25Speaker 1: give bath? No, no, no, We're gonna have that knocked
- 28:27Speaker 1: out of the park by the time you walk in
- 28:29Speaker 1: that door, and food will be ready, and food will
- 28:32Speaker 1: be ready. Yeah, So I'm washing Rufe's hair. But as
- 28:36Speaker 1: I'm getting everything set up, you know, when you got
- 28:37Speaker 1: a couple of minions. There's some parents out there have
- 28:40Speaker 1: more than two kiddos, but when they're all like I
- 28:41Speaker 1: got ruined Scottie, Ru's three, Scotty's one. Scotty's all over
- 28:45Speaker 1: the place, like I have to move tables because Scotty
- 28:47Speaker 1: will climb couches and climb the armres and trying to
- 28:50Speaker 1: climb on tables, and she's just you can tell she's
- 28:53Speaker 1: confident because she flirts with the edge of everything that
- 28:57Speaker 1: she climbs.
- 28:57Speaker 3: On.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Oh yeah, like you know how they kind of climb
- 28:59Speaker 2: up and then they'll kind of rock over to where
- 29:01Speaker 2: they'll be seated.
- 29:02Speaker 1: She'll sit right on the edge of the couch and
- 29:04Speaker 1: the whole time like, Scotty, you sweetheart, you have to
- 29:06Speaker 1: get on the couch here, because I'm telling you right now,
- 29:09Speaker 1: you're gonna tip and you're gonna fall. You're gonna hit
- 29:11Speaker 1: your head and you're just gonna you're gonna cry, and
- 29:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna console you, and we're just you're gonna have
- 29:15Speaker 1: to learn the hard way by you being next to
- 29:17Speaker 1: the edge. And she's always climbing on stuff to where
- 29:19Speaker 1: it's like a hard spot and a soft pillow. She
- 29:21Speaker 1: steps on both and gets tumbling down. And she's just
- 29:24Speaker 1: been lucky so far.
- 29:26Speaker 3: And she's not waddling when she's walking around. For your
- 29:29Speaker 3: parents at home to have a kid that's waddling. Right now,
- 29:33Speaker 3: Scotty is got the hand going and it is it
- 29:37Speaker 3: is truly like a very fast walk. Wherever she's going.
- 29:41Speaker 3: She's trying to learn to run.
- 29:42Speaker 2: She be lines.
- 29:43Speaker 1: But as I'm getting some set up in Rue's room,
- 29:45Speaker 1: as I'm getting this bath ready to wash Ru's hair,
- 29:47Speaker 1: Scotty goes and throws her lama. Throws her Lama in
- 29:51Speaker 1: the bath soaked good. So I walk in. I'm going
- 29:54Speaker 1: to put ruin. I see Lama just sitting there drowning. Sweetheart.
- 29:59Speaker 1: I know you love you your Lama.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Nah.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Nah, And now and now we're gonna have to We're
- 30:03Speaker 3: gonna have to air dry.
- 30:04Speaker 1: We're gonna have to dry Lama now. And you're not
- 30:06Speaker 1: gonna get Lama in your hands, and all to circle
- 30:08Speaker 1: back to you gotta be on your p's and q's
- 30:10Speaker 1: with Rue. Ruth's walking me through how to wash your
- 30:12Speaker 1: hair or how she wants it done, and which I
- 30:15Speaker 1: already know. I'm like, sweetheart, I got She's like, we're
- 30:17Speaker 1: not gonna wash my body. Sweet we washed your body
- 30:19Speaker 1: last night. We don't have to wash your body today.
- 30:21Speaker 1: We can just get it wet.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Yeah, So you don't have to do my armpits, No, sweetheart,
- 30:24Speaker 1: you'll do my private parts? No, sweetheart, No, we're just
- 30:27Speaker 1: washing your hair.
- 30:28Speaker 2: This is a hair night.
- 30:29Speaker 1: But why well you get in to explain why big
- 30:32Speaker 1: WiFi is right now, But get Rue all done. As
- 30:35Speaker 1: I'm trying to corral Scotty Scott, he's mad, at me.
- 30:37Speaker 1: I'm pouring the water on Rue's head. She's screaming because
- 30:40Speaker 1: she wants watered. She wants to be in the bath
- 30:42Speaker 1: water port on her head. Scotty just back up, give
- 30:45Speaker 1: Dad has some space. I'm gonna make this quick. Get
- 30:48Speaker 1: them all corral dry. You know, not not bult right off.
- 30:51Speaker 1: But you know, Scotty, you just always gotta wash because
- 30:53Speaker 1: she's just walking everywhere, getting into everything. Yeah, as I'm
- 30:56Speaker 1: trying to bathe Rue. So we get downstairs, we go,
- 30:59Speaker 1: I'm like, we gotta dry Scottish. We gotta dry Scotty's Lama.
- 31:02Speaker 1: So I haven't given Lama and Tigy baths before the
- 31:05Speaker 1: bath being the washer and the dryer.
- 31:08Speaker 2: So I'm going down there. I'm like, all right, we
- 31:09Speaker 2: got to dry them off.
- 31:10Speaker 1: And I throw a Lama in there, and I'm like,
- 31:12Speaker 1: I hope nothing happens to Lama. Like as I'm trying
- 31:15Speaker 1: to dry Lama, so I turned, She's like I pushed
- 31:18Speaker 1: the button on.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Hey, yeah, you can push the butt. So we turned
- 31:19Speaker 3: on her roofs stands there and she's looking at Lama
- 31:21Speaker 3: in there and.
- 31:21Speaker 2: She goes.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Dead dead, Ad, you gotta get Lama out. I'm like,
- 31:26Speaker 1: why do I gotta get Lama out? She's like, you
- 31:28Speaker 1: got to get the bag. You got to get a bag.
- 31:30Speaker 1: I'm like, Lama goes in a bag. She's like, Mama
- 31:31Speaker 1: always puts Lama in a bag. And I'm like, do
- 31:33Speaker 1: you know, I don't know where this is? What bags
- 31:35Speaker 1: she's talking about. I'm like, do you know where this
- 31:37Speaker 1: bag is? She's like yeah. So I pause and stop
- 31:40Speaker 1: and I'm like, can you show me where the bag is?
- 31:41Speaker 1: She like points up to a She points up to
- 31:43Speaker 1: a cabin and I'm like, hey, I'm gonna lift you
- 31:45Speaker 1: up and you find this bag for me.
- 31:46Speaker 2: I lift her up. She goes and finds this netted
- 31:48Speaker 2: bag in the cabin.
- 31:49Speaker 3: She's like, this is the bag you got to use
- 31:51Speaker 3: when you're giving Lama bath. Yeah, like, okay, I did
- 31:54Speaker 3: not know that. I thank you for three year old.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Three year old? Let me know.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Hey, there's a certain way we operat in this house.
- 32:01Speaker 1: We don't wear two jackets shirm, yeah, what are we doing?
- 32:04Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 32:04Speaker 2: Hey, the two jackets here? Where's a blanket? Yeah? I
- 32:07Speaker 2: forgot the blanket. Oh why did you forget the blanket?
- 32:08Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 32:09Speaker 3: No, She truly is like, hey, she wanted to be like, hey, idiot,
- 32:12Speaker 3: where's the blanket. But she was very sweet and just said, well,
- 32:16Speaker 3: maybe put the warmer jacket on the feet. You kind
- 32:18Speaker 3: of have this lighter one on the feet.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Let's switch that. Yeah.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Ru got pissed at me this morning, and I was
- 32:24Speaker 1: starting to get a little I had to let Rue
- 32:26Speaker 1: know that, Hey, when you feel big emotions and they
- 32:28Speaker 1: kind of coming out of nowhere and they don't make
- 32:30Speaker 1: sense and you're not calming down, Dad add starts to
- 32:31Speaker 1: feel big emotions too, oh yeah, yeah yeah, and dad
- 32:34Speaker 1: ass starts saying things that he doesn't mean. Yeah, so
- 32:37Speaker 1: we just we gotta start the day off on the
- 32:38Speaker 1: right foot. Like I go and wake Scotty up, I
- 32:40Speaker 1: bring her in there, Rue starts whining.
- 32:42Speaker 3: You know.
- 32:42Speaker 1: I opened the curtains and I'm trying to just be
- 32:44Speaker 1: in a great mood. I'm like Scotty, say hi to
- 32:45Speaker 1: the world. Oh, there's your big CC, there's our big
- 32:48Speaker 1: chipmunk uh huh, and going over there, and I can
- 32:51Speaker 1: just feel Rue wining already.
- 32:52Speaker 2: I hate that. I know.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Parents, it's like you never know what you're walking into
- 32:56Speaker 1: in the morning time with your toddler. You're hoping they're
- 32:59Speaker 1: just in a good moods. Sometimes they're just in great moods,
- 33:01Speaker 1: and sometimes they're in piss poor moods, and you don't
- 33:04Speaker 1: know why.
- 33:05Speaker 3: It's like, bro, we do the same routine every day. Yeah,
- 33:08Speaker 3: why are we just not in a good mood? She's like, oh,
- 33:10Speaker 3: it's too light in here. I'm like, sweet I haven't
- 33:12Speaker 3: even turned a light on. I'm just opening the windows
- 33:14Speaker 3: and I go and sit. I'm like trying to rub
- 33:16Speaker 3: her back. She starts crying. I'm like, well, sweeterar, what's
- 33:18Speaker 3: going on. She's like, you gotta sit down here, you
- 33:21Speaker 3: gotta sit on this side.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Mom always sits on this side of the bed when
- 33:25Speaker 1: she tells me good morning, and she's sitting in broken
- 33:27Speaker 1: language the word I'm not understanding it. At first, I'm
- 33:29Speaker 1: just like, sweetheart, you got to communicate clear with me.
- 33:31Speaker 1: I don't know what you're saying. You're crying right now.
- 33:32Speaker 1: I don't know why you're crying.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Yeah, what's going on?
- 33:34Speaker 1: Then I realize like I'm sitting on the wrong part
- 33:36Speaker 1: of the bed to sell her good morning and wake
- 33:38Speaker 1: her up.
- 33:39Speaker 2: And I'm just like I can't with these women. Did
- 33:44Speaker 2: what's going on? What's going on?
- 33:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that was my very first thought when you were
- 33:48Speaker 3: talking about the washing the hair and Ruth's telling one
- 33:52Speaker 3: story and Charo's telling another, like, we are going to
- 33:56Speaker 3: have to keep all these women in our lives happy.
- 34:00Speaker 2: It's not just one anymore.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Yeah, and when they're little like that, and you're like,
- 34:04Speaker 1: oh man, I'm so sorry, I said on the wrong
- 34:06Speaker 1: part of the bed. If I sit on this part
- 34:09Speaker 1: of the bed, can we kind of reset and redo
- 34:11Speaker 1: the morning to the point to where I'll walk out
- 34:13Speaker 1: of the room with Scotti, shut the door, close the
- 34:16Speaker 1: curtains and just pretend, Hey, we're restarting. Yeah, we're restarting
- 34:20Speaker 1: the period. Warm up wasn't good enough on the football field.
- 34:23Speaker 1: We're going to restart the entire practice over. So I'll
- 34:26Speaker 1: close the curtains, I'll leave the room, and then I'll
- 34:30Speaker 1: come in. Good morning, Let's open the curtains, Hey, Scotty,
- 34:35Speaker 1: wave to the world, Wave to the world. And then
- 34:37Speaker 1: I'll sit down on the right part of the bed
- 34:39Speaker 1: and be like, good morning, how did you.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Sleep good to where it kind of like catches her
- 34:43Speaker 2: off guard.
- 34:44Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 34:44Speaker 1: And she's not like acting with me, She's just like,
- 34:48Speaker 1: I forget what she said, but I will completely restart
- 34:50Speaker 1: the practice if need be. If I'm starting to feel
- 34:53Speaker 1: so much frustration boil inside me and I can control
- 34:57Speaker 1: it to where I just don't project and like, yo,
- 34:59Speaker 1: stop crying. We're not doing this shit this morning, because
- 35:01Speaker 1: those times happen.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 35:04Speaker 3: You just start saying mom, mom, Mom's not here, Moms
- 35:07Speaker 3: at work. Right now, you're with you with dad, right now,
- 35:09Speaker 3: Dad has the cap.
- 35:10Speaker 2: What may go throw on a wig in the dress?
- 35:12Speaker 2: Make you happy? Can you stop crying? Yeah?
- 35:16Speaker 3: You do the rewind noises when you reset having that.
- 35:19Speaker 2: That could be a good fun one.
- 35:21Speaker 3: That could be anytime, anytime there's an opportunity to just
- 35:24Speaker 3: go full dad mode and act the noxious they should
- 35:29Speaker 3: rewinde really Dad, to go backwards. Just anything for a smile, anything,
- 35:34Speaker 3: just to switch the mood up a little bit. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 35:39Speaker 3: oh dude, we're in it. Just wait till she's like, Dad,
- 35:41Speaker 3: can I wear this jacket? Absolutely comes down the stairs,
- 35:45Speaker 3: Charro Caesar. You're not supposed to wear that jacket till
- 35:48Speaker 3: your birthday? Bah bah, Dad said, I could wear the jacket.
- 35:51Speaker 2: You're just sitting.
- 35:52Speaker 3: There the thousand yards stare or whatever. That painting is yeah, yeah, honey,
- 35:58Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I don't know.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Or you just take the kiddos to meet up with
- 36:01Speaker 1: your wife and she's like, why why does she get
- 36:03Speaker 1: the rain boots on? And I just look, look, she
- 36:05Speaker 1: told me she wanted the rain boots.
- 36:09Speaker 3: That's a battle I don't care to participate in outain
- 36:11Speaker 3: of tears or rain boots. I went, so, now we're here,
- 36:17Speaker 3: it we're on time, and everyone's happy.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Yeah, why she.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Wearing jeans, rain boots, a dress or a two to
- 36:22Speaker 1: two over top? Listen, I said, he rue gets to
- 36:26Speaker 1: dress yourself today.
- 36:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Yeah, some comments, let's get into some comments.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Got to keep it under now, you got to keep
- 36:36Speaker 2: it under an hour.
- 36:37Speaker 1: I got a couple of new dad comments here, one
- 36:41Speaker 1: from Johnny Nord on Spotify. Hey, fellas love the pot
- 36:44Speaker 1: and been listening to you boys since the first few episodes.
- 36:47Speaker 1: I myself was in Budge training at the time, but
- 36:50Speaker 1: officially getting a promotion to PET six in June, as
- 36:53Speaker 1: my wife and I are expecting a baby boy. Hey,
- 36:57Speaker 1: damn it, Johnny, let's go. Congratulations to you guys. I
- 37:00Speaker 1: remember one of the earlier episodes you boys mentioned books
- 37:02Speaker 1: you'd recommend for raising and having kids. Would you share
- 37:05Speaker 1: those suggestions again, as I'm hoping to dive into the
- 37:08Speaker 1: playbook early, so I'm ready to attack in June. Ps
- 37:12Speaker 1: Ollipop up beer not talked about enough.
- 37:15Speaker 2: It's good.
- 37:17Speaker 1: I look, I stamped that I like rut beer. I'm
- 37:20Speaker 1: a rutber Allipop guy. I just have favorites that are
- 37:22Speaker 1: above that.
- 37:23Speaker 3: And we also so they sent us these Shirley temples
- 37:26Speaker 3: that we'll talk about later, but they send us some
- 37:28Speaker 3: rut beers, correct Rutier cream soda, and then this wonderful
- 37:33Speaker 3: temple yep.
- 37:34Speaker 1: And cream soda. I haven't had the Shirley temple yet.
- 37:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna try it here on the episode. I was
- 37:38Speaker 1: gonna stay live, but obviously this is recorded. Yeah, cream
- 37:41Speaker 1: soda is a banger as well. Ruth's cream soda is
- 37:44Speaker 1: a banger. I just think there are better options out
- 37:46Speaker 1: there in the Allipop universe. That's okay, that's just my yeah, Yeah,
- 37:49Speaker 1: that's just my subjective opinion. Ollipop's okay with with hearing
- 37:52Speaker 1: that too.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Books.
- 37:55Speaker 3: Yes, really, Strong Father, Strong Daughters is the only parenting
- 38:00Speaker 3: book that I have jumped into since before the birth
- 38:04Speaker 3: of Scarlett. Slash. Since she's been born, I need to
- 38:07Speaker 3: dive back into it. I think I'm only like forty pages.
- 38:10Speaker 3: D Yeah, fifty pages for girl.
- 38:12Speaker 1: Dad's out there. Strong daughters. Strong daughters is a should
- 38:15Speaker 1: be a state before you. If you just finished. You
- 38:18Speaker 1: just graduated BUDGS training. Good, you graduated BUDG training. But
- 38:21Speaker 1: job's not finished. There are still missions to be had.
- 38:24Speaker 1: Sleep training. There's a couple options we have out there
- 38:26Speaker 1: for you. I'll let sure them say his mind was
- 38:28Speaker 1: a twelve hours by twelve weeks or twelve hours and
- 38:31Speaker 1: twelve weeks. Oh, got great sea training book just to
- 38:34Speaker 1: kind of learn what goes on in those first eight
- 38:36Speaker 1: weeks and each kind of each kind of pocket of
- 38:39Speaker 1: every four weeks to kind of look to or learn
- 38:41Speaker 1: about and understand what your kid's going through. It's a
- 38:44Speaker 1: book to where you're the kid is adapting to your
- 38:48Speaker 1: world and you're not adapting to everything around their world.
- 38:50Speaker 1: So you're just not like a prisoner in your household
- 38:53Speaker 1: and a prisoner to the routine instructure.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Those things are very much needed.
- 38:57Speaker 1: But a lot of good insight, a lot of good direction,
- 38:59Speaker 1: and practical stuff to get ready to prepare for when
- 39:03Speaker 1: you are sleep training and try to get your kidd
- 39:05Speaker 1: to sleep within twelve weeks. Give her take like Rude
- 39:07Speaker 1: took sixteen weeks, Scott, he was down, was ready. It
- 39:10Speaker 1: was I got her train, We got her trained up.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Her technique was good by eleven weeks. Ruth took longer.
- 39:15Speaker 1: But it's just a great book to kind of to
- 39:17Speaker 1: kind of dive into what sleep training is because I'm
- 39:19Speaker 1: telling you, sleep training those those first twelve hours and
- 39:22Speaker 1: sleeping through the night is a goal and a light
- 39:24Speaker 1: that you and your wife both are gonna want to capture.
- 39:27Speaker 1: And you only wait till you're in it, and then
- 39:29Speaker 1: you're learning about it a week, nine, week, ten. Oh,
- 39:30Speaker 1: they're sleep training out there. Too late, too late? Yeah,
- 39:34Speaker 1: and it is too late. It's not too late, but
- 39:37Speaker 1: not too late. It is too late.
- 39:39Speaker 3: From the standpoint of I think that's the best advice
- 39:42Speaker 3: you could have given me as a new dat I
- 39:44Speaker 3: have a six month old. For any new listeners, you
- 39:48Speaker 3: were big on twelve hours by twelve weeks, And thankfully
- 39:52Speaker 3: I have a nurse as a wife, Jill, who also
- 39:55Speaker 3: is big on the sleep training stuff.
- 39:56Speaker 2: We went with.
- 40:00Speaker 3: Mom's on Call is the title of the book, and
- 40:03Speaker 3: It was written by nurses, and it's the same principle
- 40:06Speaker 3: as twelve hours by twelve weeks.
- 40:08Speaker 2: It's just a little bit of a different strategy and
- 40:10Speaker 2: different iterations. There's a lot of iterations out there.
- 40:13Speaker 3: And when I talk a little bit different, I am
- 40:15Speaker 3: talking about like six thirty and so of six forty five,
- 40:19Speaker 3: or you know, don't give them a passing until ten
- 40:23Speaker 3: minutes in the crib. Very minute, small difference.
- 40:27Speaker 1: It coops you with these toolbags, like while you're going
- 40:29Speaker 1: through sleep training.
- 40:30Speaker 3: Yes, dude, the overarching theme of allowing you to be
- 40:34Speaker 3: able to live your life, dude, like being able to
- 40:37Speaker 3: go to brunch. No sweat for me, because I know
- 40:40Speaker 3: that Scarlet slept almost you know, twelve ish hours. She's great,
- 40:46Speaker 3: she's in a happy mood. She took a little nap
- 40:50Speaker 3: like on the way to brunch, and then she made
- 40:53Speaker 3: like two noises at brunch and they were minor, little
- 40:57Speaker 3: like like.
- 40:58Speaker 2: She's not crying.
- 40:59Speaker 3: Yeah. It gets the baby on a schedule. It helps
- 41:04Speaker 3: you with maintain your schedule. It helps give you philosophies too,
- 41:09Speaker 3: to where.
- 41:10Speaker 1: You know, you learn about it and then you realize,
- 41:12Speaker 1: like if you're somebody's asking you out to whether it's
- 41:15Speaker 1: a breakfast or a lunch or dinner, whatever it is.
- 41:18Speaker 1: You more have like the mindset of we can figure
- 41:21Speaker 1: this out, like we can do this versus just a
- 41:23Speaker 1: quick response I kind of can't this time baby goes down.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Sometimes that is just gonna be what happens, especially if
- 41:29Speaker 1: they're new born and everything else. But it helps shift
- 41:32Speaker 1: your mindset to we can figure things out based on
- 41:35Speaker 1: the knowledge you're kind of teaching yourself. Because I think
- 41:36Speaker 1: the sleep training stuff is just a big win for
- 41:38Speaker 1: dads in general because a lot of times, like when
- 41:40Speaker 1: your wife's pregnant, baby's born, and everything else, Like, as men,
- 41:44Speaker 1: we really lean on our wives to have all the answers,
- 41:47Speaker 1: and sometimes our wives are like they're their whole thing
- 41:50Speaker 1: is like dude, we're learning it just like you are
- 41:53Speaker 1: and finding intention and learning learning some tricks or the
- 41:56Speaker 1: trade along the way. I feel like the sleep training
- 41:58Speaker 1: stuff is a good way for dads to kind of
- 41:59Speaker 1: dive in before the baby comes.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Yeah, because it also shows your partner that you're invested.
- 42:03Speaker 1: You're investing your time and energy to learn about something
- 42:07Speaker 1: to where you might have input as well to where
- 42:09Speaker 1: you're having a conversation with your wife, and I just
- 42:12Speaker 1: feel like it sets Dad's up for just a good.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Early win, and you just you're learning new information.
- 42:17Speaker 1: You're kind of educating on you yourself on what's happening,
- 42:20Speaker 1: so that way you're privy to it as the baby's there,
- 42:22Speaker 1: so you're just not sitting there, You're you're not sitting
- 42:24Speaker 1: there when the baby's worn, with your dick into your hand,
- 42:25Speaker 1: wondering like we hey, sweetheart, like, so what do we
- 42:28Speaker 1: do here? How do I how do I feed this?
- 42:29Speaker 2: Like? What time does the baby? What times a baby
- 42:32Speaker 2: go down?
- 42:33Speaker 3: It empowers the dads of a perfect example of my
- 42:36Speaker 3: solo saturdays. I usually just to keep Jill happy while
- 42:40Speaker 3: she's at work, and I know it gives her peace
- 42:42Speaker 3: of mind. I text her with updates of feeds, and
- 42:45Speaker 3: I text her at eight thirty I said, hey, let's
- 42:48Speaker 3: Scarlet sleep in this morning because she was out, you know,
- 42:51Speaker 3: passed out, and instead of seven thirty feed, I fed
- 42:55Speaker 3: her at eight thirty. And uh, I'm going to tear
- 42:59Speaker 3: out her three hour intervals of feeds to where I'm
- 43:03Speaker 3: doing fifteen minutes early on every single line, so I'll
- 43:05Speaker 3: get her back to the seven thirty schedule, so then
- 43:09Speaker 3: she'll be she'll be out tonight by seven thirty pm,
- 43:11Speaker 3: not even worried about it. Jill, Well, yeah, have a
- 43:13Speaker 3: good day. Yeah yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 43:15Speaker 1: And as far as books go, too, there's a lot
- 43:17Speaker 1: of oh sorry, you got a question show.
- 43:18Speaker 5: I'll say, do you want do we want to take
- 43:21Speaker 5: this time take a quick break while you go do
- 43:22Speaker 5: k oh shit?
- 43:23Speaker 1: Once we will knock out another We'll just knock out
- 43:25Speaker 1: another comment then we can because that's a ten ten correct.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Yeah, ten ten.
- 43:29Speaker 1: I always going to say, as far as books go,
- 43:31Speaker 1: there's just a lot of good stuff out there wherever
- 43:33Speaker 1: you might have it interested. It's like how to raise
- 43:35Speaker 1: kids not to be assholes. The Daily Dad has been
- 43:38Speaker 1: a staple in our household for at dinner, we'll read
- 43:41Speaker 1: a day, you know, a day and daily Dads. I
- 43:43Speaker 1: honestly need to get on because I've been off that
- 43:45Speaker 1: for about a month. But the Daily Dad's ago, and
- 43:47Speaker 1: there's a lot of good stuff out there.
- 43:48Speaker 3: My dad got me Daily Dad. I've yet to I
- 43:51Speaker 3: need to start doing that too. Elijah dot W fourteen
- 43:56Speaker 3: on Instagram says what's up boys, huge Packers fan?
- 44:00Speaker 2: Here? Oh man?
- 44:01Speaker 3: Sorry, Elijah born in Wisconsin, moved to Canada because of
- 44:05Speaker 3: my dad's job. Obviously, never missed a game. Tonight had
- 44:09Speaker 3: me thinking about losses and man, we had a big
- 44:12Speaker 3: one crying emoji. However, because of the inspiring words of
- 44:15Speaker 3: Sherman Willie Spit week after week, I was able to
- 44:19Speaker 3: get out of my seat while Jordan Love was making
- 44:23Speaker 3: the drive of his life to change my beautiful baby
- 44:25Speaker 3: girl's dirty diaper. She's three months old now. Never thought
- 44:29Speaker 3: I'd love anything so much. You guys are the best
- 44:33Speaker 3: and have taught me more than I could know. And
- 44:35Speaker 3: keep doing your thing. PT six all day.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Let's go a lot, Let's go Elijah. Sorry for the L, dude, Yeah, sorry,
- 44:41Speaker 2: that's a tough l.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Being up twenty one to three, blowing that lead. Yeah,
- 44:45Speaker 1: still have an opportunity in the second half to miss
- 44:47Speaker 1: field goes a miss extra point.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:49Speaker 3: Oh hey, what I would do is I would I
- 44:52Speaker 3: would hop on there would he obviously has an Instagram
- 44:55Speaker 3: If you have a Twitter as well, I would just
- 44:57Speaker 3: hop in Clay's Clay Matthew MS.
- 45:00Speaker 2: Yeah, why not?
- 45:01Speaker 3: I would just DM Clay Matthews. Tell him how you're feeling.
- 45:05Speaker 3: Maybe send him a screenshot of the bikini pick that
- 45:08Speaker 3: will generated on Twitter and say what's this nonsense.
- 45:11Speaker 1: We'll just say, hey, I'm wearing a bikini with you
- 45:13Speaker 1: right now. Brothers join on them bring back bikini. I'm
- 45:19Speaker 1: right there with you, bro.
- 45:21Speaker 3: PT six Sicko. By the way, I love you, Clay Elijah.
- 45:26Speaker 3: Thank you for writing in shout out Elijah PT Sichos.
- 45:29Speaker 3: We come to you guys with just a special little
- 45:31Speaker 3: segment we wanted to do this week because we have
- 45:34Speaker 3: been backlogged on Thank yous. A lot of PT cicicos,
- 45:39Speaker 3: a lot of empty cichos will share some of their
- 45:44Speaker 3: entrepreneurial endeavors, some of their products with us, which we
- 45:48Speaker 3: are so appreciative of, and we'll reach back out on
- 45:52Speaker 3: social media and say thank you obviously, but we we
- 45:55Speaker 3: love to do it even bigger. Thank you, like our
- 45:58Speaker 3: friend at Arkansas that send us stuff the awesome PT
- 46:03Speaker 3: six signs that we got in the past. What else
- 46:07Speaker 3: USF's equipment manager sent us some stuff, So we just
- 46:12Speaker 3: wanted to take the time today to say thank you.
- 46:15Speaker 3: I am wearing a polo from American Waters. American Waters
- 46:20Speaker 3: is a apparel company that sells polos that are all
- 46:25Speaker 3: American made and they're incredibly comfortable, incredibly stylish. And McCrae Morehouse,
- 46:33Speaker 3: who's the owner and founder of American Waters, sent a
- 46:37Speaker 3: letter and like three polos, right, like two or three
- 46:41Speaker 3: polos each to every single member of for the dads.
- 46:45Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Chef is a sicko.
- 46:48Speaker 3: For American Waters, as we all are. But Chef has
- 46:51Speaker 3: worn these out two golf.
- 46:53Speaker 2: In I have.
- 46:54Speaker 5: I wore it to Christmas Mass got a lot of
- 46:57Speaker 5: compliments from the family that was really nice. And I
- 47:01Speaker 5: don't know if we have I'm wanting to start a
- 47:03Speaker 5: PT six golf division because I know there's some sick
- 47:06Speaker 5: oh dads out there that love to golf absolutely and
- 47:09Speaker 5: I'm sure that we can all talk about well I
- 47:11Speaker 5: can't because I don't have a kid, but you know,
- 47:13Speaker 5: trying to get out on the course and whatnot.
- 47:15Speaker 2: That's a conversation for a later day.
- 47:16Speaker 5: But yeah, However, these American Water polos, Sherman are some
- 47:21Speaker 5: of the comfiest polos I've ever worn, and they scream
- 47:25Speaker 5: to me. We live in Tennessee, gets really hot out.
- 47:27Speaker 5: It's a moisture wicking material. It's great for the summer,
- 47:31Speaker 5: but it screams to me spring golf right when it
- 47:35Speaker 5: starts to warm up. And it's a good look. It's classy,
- 47:40Speaker 5: good colors. And let me tell you, the fit on
- 47:42Speaker 5: them is unlike anything else. There's nothing like a shirt
- 47:44Speaker 5: that fits great. And just to reiterate, we are not
- 47:47Speaker 5: sponsored by American Waters at all. Yeah, he just sent
- 47:50Speaker 5: out clothes, you know, from the nicest of his heart,
- 47:53Speaker 5: and they're incredible. I cannot speak highly enough to these.
- 47:57Speaker 3: Yeah, and wrote an incredibly kind letter to each one
- 48:00Speaker 3: of us. And also the other thing that I'll point
- 48:03Speaker 3: out that I haven't brought up before on these polos
- 48:08Speaker 3: is with the dryfit material of other polos, you'll sometimes
- 48:13Speaker 3: like it'll be really cold outside and you wore the
- 48:16Speaker 3: pollo like underneath the jacket and you can feel the
- 48:18Speaker 3: coldness still, like the it almost sticks to you. This
- 48:22Speaker 3: is like that moisture wicking that also has like a
- 48:25Speaker 3: nice little cotton in it. Yeah, it's got a nice
- 48:27Speaker 3: little layer to it. So really love these and thank
- 48:31Speaker 3: you again McCray for sending them. You also might have
- 48:33Speaker 3: noticed Chef is wearing one currently.
- 48:36Speaker 2: We have these don't.
- 48:38Speaker 3: Have to you get to hats from the Get To
- 48:40Speaker 3: Foundation We also had a very kind note sent to
- 48:46Speaker 3: us from the founder, Nate Jones, And I know that, Derek,
- 48:51Speaker 3: you know a bunch of the backstory of the get
- 48:54Speaker 3: To Foundation. You want to let the pet Sikos know
- 48:56Speaker 3: a little about a little bit about that.
- 48:58Speaker 4: Yeah, I believe it's It was Nate's brother, Ben was
- 49:01Speaker 4: a football coach and preached the you'd get to, not
- 49:05Speaker 4: have to, get to, not have to is their foundation.
- 49:08Speaker 4: It's a mindset around the fact that everything in life,
- 49:10Speaker 4: people are like I have to do all these things,
- 49:11Speaker 4: you know, you get to, and how blessed we are
- 49:13Speaker 4: to have that mindset for it. But he had tragically
- 49:16Speaker 4: passed away, so they started the foundation and they get
- 49:19Speaker 4: to was kind of how he was remembered through it all.
- 49:21Speaker 4: And so obviously we love you know, the hat and
- 49:24Speaker 4: everything about it, but really it's it's the foundation. It's
- 49:26Speaker 4: donating to it and what they they kind of fight
- 49:28Speaker 4: for over there. So it's a beautiful foundation that just
- 49:30Speaker 4: saw our clip about saying get to instead of half to,
- 49:34Speaker 4: and so it's just a really really cool cause we
- 49:36Speaker 4: can get behind.
- 49:37Speaker 3: He also sent us these posters, he sent us these hats,
- 49:42Speaker 3: he sent us some bracelets.
- 49:44Speaker 2: That Derek's rocking one right now.
- 49:47Speaker 3: All that being said, thank you very very much for
- 49:51Speaker 3: sending that. We also have a book that was written
- 49:56Speaker 3: by J.
- 49:58Speaker 2: T Roy.
- 49:59Speaker 3: It was his first go at writing any book, and
- 50:03Speaker 3: it's a children's book called Milli Bananas Can't Sleep. I
- 50:09Speaker 3: have read Milli Bananas Can't Sleep. I've read it to Scarlet.
- 50:12Speaker 3: It is a fantastic book about Milli Bananas and her
- 50:16Speaker 3: parents going through the checklists of all the things that
- 50:20Speaker 3: need to be done in order for Milli Bananas to
- 50:22Speaker 3: be ready for bed. And guys, it is really fun
- 50:26Speaker 3: if you're looking to build a nighttime structure with your
- 50:29Speaker 3: kid of just all the little things, so brushing the teeth,
- 50:33Speaker 3: combing the hair, taking a bath. These Milli Bananas run
- 50:36Speaker 3: through like all this stuff with her parents. The illustrations
- 50:40Speaker 3: are extremely well done.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Those were done by Yanna Kozak.
- 50:46Speaker 6: But J.
- 50:46Speaker 3: T Roy, who is a pt SIKO, wanted to just
- 50:51Speaker 3: send this our way and we can't think of enough.
- 50:53Speaker 3: He also sent us a little care package which this
- 50:56Speaker 3: looks like a marketing care package that and maybe it
- 51:01Speaker 3: comes with the book. I don't know, but we got
- 51:04Speaker 3: this awesome care package that came with like a Milli
- 51:06Speaker 3: Banana's stuffed animal. It came with a toothbrush like a
- 51:09Speaker 3: toddler toothbrush. When I showed it to Jill she lost
- 51:13Speaker 3: her mind. Jillie Bean loved it and we love the book.
- 51:16Speaker 3: So JT thank you. Let's see what else? Oh, we
- 51:23Speaker 3: have not only a DM but a nice little treat
- 51:28Speaker 3: from Christy. This comes from Christy Schlessinger. She is a
- 51:33Speaker 3: speech pathologist. She is also a feeding specialist. Christy wrote
- 51:39Speaker 3: in to the for the Dad's Podcast instagram from her
- 51:43Speaker 3: Instagram feeding with confidence. So she said, Hey, I'm Christy.
- 51:49Speaker 3: I'm a speech slash feeding therapist and I run an
- 51:53Speaker 3: account helping moms and dads in parentheses because you know
- 51:57Speaker 3: Papa Team six feed their baby in toddlers and I
- 52:02Speaker 3: had to reach out after your podcast clip about feeding
- 52:05Speaker 3: your daughter. My husband is a Tier one fan of
- 52:08Speaker 3: for the Dad's in Busting with the Boys. So here's
- 52:11Speaker 3: the download for the guide I sell to parents. I
- 52:15Speaker 3: had to hook you up, but really, if you have
- 52:17Speaker 3: any specific questions, I'm also happy to help big hug
- 52:21Speaker 3: signy kisses. My husband told me to say that. Christy,
- 52:25Speaker 3: thank you so much for reaching out. I've already run through.
- 52:29Speaker 3: So Christy sent her thirty day solid feeding plan for
- 52:36Speaker 3: newborns for toddlers, which is titled the Milk to Meals Blueprint. Christy,
- 52:44Speaker 3: I've already run through some of it with Jill. Her
- 52:47Speaker 3: being a registered nurse, she is going into the solid
- 52:50Speaker 3: stuff with like a whole gang of stuff that she's
- 52:54Speaker 3: learned from the hospital, et cetera. A lot of stuff
- 52:57Speaker 3: that Christy talks about in this piece of literature. And
- 53:02Speaker 3: Jill was like, Chris, Chrissy knows what she's talking about.
- 53:06Speaker 3: She's on one, and so we're just kind of laughing
- 53:10Speaker 3: and going through some of the meal prep stuff and
- 53:13Speaker 3: some of the feeding techniques and how do you want
- 53:16Speaker 3: to have your baby set up in a high chair
- 53:18Speaker 3: and eliminate distractions. Christy touches on a lot of cool
- 53:22Speaker 3: stuff in this, so make sure to check her out
- 53:26Speaker 3: on feeding with confidence and Christy Celessinger, thank you for
- 53:31Speaker 3: sending that in.
- 53:33Speaker 2: Guys, we hope you enjoyed the rest of this episode.
- 53:35Speaker 2: The rest of this pod.
- 53:37Speaker 3: Put put a little emoji down at the bottom. What
- 53:41Speaker 3: emoji should we do? If you listen to this entire segment,
- 53:46Speaker 3: Thank you segment The little beach, the little Beach. Thank
- 53:50Speaker 3: you guys, enjoy the rest of the episode.

- 58:32Speaker 3: They're in witness protection. They can have their voice on
- 58:34Speaker 3: a podcast. Yeah, you know, but they're pet sick.
- 58:37Speaker 1: It would be fun to get a voicemail where you
- 58:39Speaker 1: kind of got the automated.
- 58:41Speaker 2: Voice Willie won show. That would be fun. They have
- 58:46Speaker 2: to hide.
- 58:47Speaker 1: Behind that voice because they're going to continue to like
- 58:49Speaker 1: call out people in this family by name.
- 58:54Speaker 3: My daughter's starting to act more and more like my wife,
- 58:58Speaker 3: and it's driving like, what this guy do we have
- 59:03Speaker 3: his phone number? We need to locate this guy. Craig
- 59:07Speaker 3: A cold one, Crack A cold one brought to us
- 59:10Speaker 3: by tell them Ollipop. It's official, boys, We're Ollipop Podcast
- 59:19Speaker 3: right now.
- 59:19Speaker 2: Ollipop Podcast to.
- 59:23Speaker 3: Cold One will be brought to you by Ollipop.
- 59:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:25Speaker 1: And there's a lot of conversation out there about Ollipop.
- 59:29Speaker 1: I feel like I put out stuff now and I
- 59:31Speaker 1: could just be I could be talking about just classic
- 59:35Speaker 1: grape and people are wondering why it's slid down in
- 59:37Speaker 1: the rankings. Hey, where's the love for Ridge Rush? Where's
- 59:41Speaker 1: the love for Ridge Rush? Where's the love for Vintage Colo?
- 59:45Speaker 1: Where's the love for root beer? Were somebody was talking
- 59:47Speaker 1: about root Pier. I think you're sleeping on I think
- 59:49Speaker 1: root beer is a quality Ollipop. But if there's one
- 59:52Speaker 1: thing I'm gonna be with you guys on this podcast,
- 59:54Speaker 1: it's honest. It's honest, and I think that's why Ollipop
- 59:57Speaker 1: trusts for the dads. But this episode is brought to
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: us by Ollipop.
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: It sure is, it sure is. This episode is brought
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: to us by Ollipop, and they sent us some Sureley temples.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: I can't wait to try I haven't tried it yet.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: Get in there, get in krackical when.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: That's it sounds good?
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: How's it taste?
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: That's quite lovely. That's quite lovely if I think about
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: where my rankings are with Ollipop. And by the way, guys,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: we talked about it on every episode went into a
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: big time last week. But nine grams of pre bodic fiber,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: two to five grams of sugar per can and each
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: of these can. So if you're a big if you're
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: a soda drinker, and you're looking to find a good substitute,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: a quality substitute that's good for your gut and good
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: fear taste buds, it's Ollipop. If you don't like drinking
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: water all the time, you like to switch it up
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: a little bit. Ollipop. They're everywhere. Go find Ollipop everywhere.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: It's how I walk into a gas station. I had
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: to find the ollipops. Yeah, my local gas station, my
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: local spot that I go to three four times a week.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: They have watermelon lime. Oh and watermelon lime is which
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: right now cemented, cemented, written in pencil, not pin, not sharpie.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: Yep. But my number two slot is taken up by
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: watermelon lime. Really yeah.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: Number one is chrisp Apple, okay. Number two is watermelon lime.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: Number three is classic grape. These are all phenomenal jicks.

- 1:02:05Speaker 3: full effect of like bubble guts all that stuff. I
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: feel like I'm drinking water, but it tastes like traditional soda.

- 1:03:41Speaker 3: much fun. I for so many reasons. We already talked
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: about Ru interacting with Scarlett. I got to play with
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: Rue a bunch. It was fun getting to see her
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: interaction with Scottie, her sister. It was fun getting to
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: see her interactions with you. She was really wanting to
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: pull me into pulling a prank on Willie one shelf.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: She wanted to get you so bad with that. She
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: was invisible, Where Where's real? Where's real? And she's like
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: uncle sherm, you ask ask my dad does where is reu?
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: She's getting me in on it. She's hiding behind me.
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: Will walks out the damn restaurant. He walked out in
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: the room.
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: Because where's Rue?
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: And I just see like Ru's little head popping behind
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: his back like he's just sitting on a beach. He's
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: sitting on like the bench in the boot, like the
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: booth side, and 's just high mind. And he's like, Hey,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: where's Rue? And I was like, oh, where's Rue?
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: Nobody Will? And I'm being serious, this isn't a game.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: Where's your daughter?
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: Like I really?
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: I was, Yeah, he's playing to I was like, oh,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: anybody seeing Rue? Hey, guys, is Rude back there? I'm like,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: oh my gosh, I don't know where who is. I'm
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: gonna have to go check the car. I'm gonna have
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: to go outside. So I get up and start walking
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: and I'm like, where's Rue.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: She is losing it.
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: I just feel this vibration on my back of her
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: losing it behind me thinking it's deep, funniest thing in
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: the word.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: And I'm thinking in my head hopefully she says something,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: so Dada, as I have to go outside and pretend
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: to walk to the car.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: You could you hear me? Yeah? I get hear I
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: get here, sir.
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: I'm trying to get her to say, like, hey, tell him,
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: tell him, Like, and I walk outside and I'm like, well,
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: now I'm outside, and I got to walk around the
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: corner here.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: Then I see the windows. I'm like, all right, maybe
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: I can look in the windows and so I don't
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: have to walk all the way to the carcause I'm
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: trying to think. Okay in her mind, and she knows
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: that Dad is leaving and leaving the building, maybe she'll
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: panic a little bit like Dad, I'm right here, I'm
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: right here. It's all good. Oh yeah, But no, she
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: kept the prank alive to where I'm in the window.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: And then I look and I'm like, oh.
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: My god, there you are literally what he did. He
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: goes the window.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: Another party sitting there like looking over at me, probably wondering,
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: like looking at them, They're like this, Psicho, what are
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: they like?
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: Oh my god? Walk inside. I'm like, dude, where were you?
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: She's just not even talking, she's laughing. So, yeah, what's
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: the story? I heard? You did not defend her from
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: a bear? There was a bear? Can we hear about
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: that one?
- 1:06:05Speaker 6: Sure?
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: Yeah? Wait did you post that the bathroom thing? The
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: bathroom thing? When when she went to the bathroom. Oh yeah,
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: my story, Oh my story. I storied it.
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I storied it. I mean I can give the
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: video for context. Okay, yeah, video for context. I want
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: to give my video too, because that was hilarious.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: But you go, that's a matter of fact. There we go.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: I can build on the crack of cold one. Yeah,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: the moment that rus like, Dad, I need to go potty.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: I want Uncle Sharm to take me potty. You know,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: I'm being scotty And I'm already laughing in my.
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: Head because just as a new dad, like when your daughter.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: I'm thinking more of girl dads, because boys, I don't
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: see it being it wouldn't feel this way, but having
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: your daughter and then she gets the to the point
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: where she can go potty on her own as long
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: as like somebody's there to you know, shaperone or like
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: take her. And I just remember the first feelings I
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: had when I was in public and She's like a
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: dead out, I need to go potty. I want you
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: to take me potty, and Mom's sitting right there, and
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: then I'm like do what do I Just take her
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: in the men's bathroom.
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: She's like, yeah, just take her into the cell of the.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Men's bathroom, like okay, but just feeling what I was
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: feeling with my own daughter, being like, oh, I guess
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: I just take her into a stall in the men's bathroom,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: just knowing that she wanted Uncle Shrm to take her.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: And I'm laughing to myself because I'm like, yeah, Uncle
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: Sherm can take you.
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: It can take you potty.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: And I'm like, sure, you gotta go. She wants you
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: to take her potty, and I'm just assuming. Surem's like
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: is this really gonna happen? Are you kind of messing
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: with me right now? I'm like, dude, she wants you
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: to take her. Boy, you want Sherman to take your potty?
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: And she's like yeah, Like SUREM take her to the
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: bathroom man, And He's like, oh, do I just do?
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: I just I'm like, dude, she knows everything to do.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: You're just she just wants you. She she just wants
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: you to take her.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: I'm outside of the bathroom because this is my first
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: potty trip of all time. I look in the bathroom.
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: There's no stall, so I'm like I look at will
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: and I'm like.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: It's just a like it's just a room. With one toilet.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: I'm like, do I do I go in there? Or
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: am I right here?
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: And looking at me like with like panic in his
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: eyes and I'm looking at smiling. Yeah, I'm looking at
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: his smile. I'm like, She goes and sure he's gonna
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: go and he'll just wait outside, all right. I took
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: your body, like go in there and do.
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: Do you know what you do? She sits on the
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: toilet and I'm just looking at like toilets over here,
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: and there's like a mirror and uh hand dryer, paper
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: towel and soap thing, and I'm just like kind of
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: staring at I'm staring at the soap thing. I'm kind
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: of like eyes are like grass like over here, and
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: Ree's over here being and she goes, I'll go, Saram,
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: why why do you not watch? And I go, h,
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: that's a good question.
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: Real.
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: I was like, I am, you know, I'm just kind
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: of looking at the secret now.
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: I'm just because I'm thinking in my head to answer
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: why I'm not watching. It's just a whole other that's
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: a whole other avenue to go down. So I'm like,
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: that's a great question. And then she goes oh, the
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: toilet paper is far and it was really far from her,
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: and I was like, oh, to Will's exact point. Hey,
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: there's gonna be stuff out of reach for it. You
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: just like you put it in her vicinity, and so I.
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: Moved it over.
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: And then there is a little thing to put your
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: phone on top of the toilet paper. And she was like,
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: I'll gole Seran, what's this And she's just sitting on
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: the toilet and I'm like, that is you know, probably
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: you put some soap there, you put some you put
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: your phone there. And as I'm talking to her, she's
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: getting bored and she just goes, there's a bear. There's
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: a bear. And she grabs the toilet paper and starts wiping,
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: gets off the toilet. She goes, I go, there's a bear.
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: We gotta go, We gotta go. And I'm like, you
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: gotta wash your hands. You gotta wash your hands.
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: She could reach the soap thing, and she couldn't get
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: her hand like high enough. So I just do the
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: soap thing and I scrape it on.
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: As you go like you can't reach it. Let me
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: just here you go. You rue turn on the sink.
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: Oh man, that was That was an experience, dude, that
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: was an experience.
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: Anytime, I don't want to be in a conversation with
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: someone from now and to.
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: Be like, there's a bear in this room. You get
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: out of here right now. There is a bear that
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: will attack us, and we need to go. It feels
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: like you didn't try and save it from the bear.
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: I said, no, we're out of there.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: We're just like breaking it down. However, we didn't save
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: it from the bear. And I just look over for
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: sure in MyD how to go.
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: It's good. She's wondered why I wasn't looking at her?
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: Why do you not watch?
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: Why do you not watch me?
- 1:10:40Speaker 5: Oh?
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: No, real, it's a yeah, there's a good call. I
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: don't know why I don't watch, dude. She's so adorable.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: She says, like, instead of like I really say, I
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: really want to do that, she says, I very want
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: to do that. Oh, it's it's just very she substitutes
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: very very really. It's adorable, bro.
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: Her forgetting to hug Scarlet and I they were like
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: ninety percent of the way to will Scarr and she
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: turns the well and goes, I I.
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: Didn't say by the uncle Sherman.
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: Scarlet and she just comes running down that little wind tunnel.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: I'll go German, Uncle, German. She's sprinting at me.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: I'm like, dude, this is unreal levels acute. It was
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: unreal levels acute.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it would have went sideways quick as she not
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: said goodbye to you guys. Oh yeah, he'll go sideways
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: quick with us if she didn't tell us like goodbye, hugs,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: GISs three squeezes, like three different times. Yeah, or because again,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: her sign off is don't let the bed bugs by
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: go be great. Like, look, don't let the bed bugs
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: by in any situation. It could be eleven in the morning,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: don't let the bed bugs by go be great. And
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: you got to see it back to her. Yeah, you're like,
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: don't let the bed bugs by go be gray. It's like,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: oh you too, She's like, don't let the bed bugs
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: by go be g don't let the bed bugs by
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: go be great.
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: That's good game. That'll be in my repertoire for next time. Yeah.
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: So, man, dude, the little hug that she gave Scarlet too,
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: she and turned her around like the yeah, you know,
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: thing was facing that way and I turned the stroller
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: around and she put her whole body on top of
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: Scarlet in the stroller and put her cheek on Scarlet's
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: cheek and just pat it like this.
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: I was like, oh my god, dude.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: Every night, whenever I'm putting Scotty down, every night, Roue
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: has to go in, like when your lights can be off.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: Lights can be on when you're getting ready, but uh,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: like last night, lights are off.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: She walks in. She just comes in quietly. She knows
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: the drill.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: All she wants to do is give Scotty a hug,
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: kissing three squeezes. Oh yeah, she comes over. Scotty will
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: just be knocking the bottle out and she just lean
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: in and kind of do the hug, give her a
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: kiss on the head and then just grab like her
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: wrists her forearm that's on the because her hands attached
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: to the bottle, and she would be like one, two, three,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: I love you.
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: As she shut the door.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: Okay, don't de bedbugs by, Scottie, go be great every
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: night when she walks out. There was chaos happening the
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: other night because we were flying out to New York.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: Charo had a workshop, and so we had the babysitter
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: over helping me out with bedtime because I had to
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: leave before like eight o'clock, and so I was.
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: Putting Scotty down. I'm like, hey, and she knows, like,
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: we will walk you through the whole routine.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: But I hear Rue losing it because she's trying to
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: basically ask Ava if she can go in She's like,
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: I always go in there and give Scotty hugkis and
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: three squeezes.
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: But Ava doesn't know.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: She hasn't been in this situation and where she's like, no,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: you know that has putting down Scotty, you can't go
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: in there, and Rue's just losing her mind, going bad
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: shit outside the door.
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: And I can hear it really when you said mind
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: your pie's and cues with Rue, it will could not
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: be more correct.
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: Of like everything is like Defcon one and in Ree's life.
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, like if we aren't going by the books,
- 1:13:46Speaker 3: this is not good.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: Yeah, if you're not going by the structure, she knows
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: and understands thoroughly.
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: Yeah, there will be problems, yes, And she's like, I
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: do it every night. I do it every night. Leave
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: me alone, Ava.
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: I'm just like I'm trying to text ay, but you
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: can let her in here and I'm like, ruh, come
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: up here.
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: And then she comes in. I'm like, what's wrong. She's like,
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: I just wanted to give Scottie hug kids. I'm like,
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: here you go. She gives her huggets three squeezes. Then
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: she's from there. She's just in the mood's fine, yeah,
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: then worried. Yeah, we're off to the races. She just
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: let her know I do this every night. I'm telling
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: you you were wrong in this situation. Remind reminds me
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: of some fun.
- 1:14:28Speaker 6: Dude.

- 1:14:42Speaker 2: Did you really? Yeah?
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: I still got to do it like like like seventy
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: five bucks. I'm like, what are we talking about here?
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: This could be a much easier experience for the kids,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: Like we have a pretty good life. We can we
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: can get a seventy five dollars not sucker number one.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: I want to play with that. I want to use
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: it for my notes.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: I will say.
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: Hopefully Charlie uses it one time and says worth every penny,
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: because that's how that's how I felt in comparing it
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: to the manualsnot sucker.
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: Yeah, we got one here a dad hack from Ryan
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: Ridley on Spotify. Ryan Ridley top three most inspiring people

- 1:16:03Speaker 3: want to shout him out on the pod if possible,
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: even if it's not the same day. Just for him
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: to hear at any point would be crazy. Please tell
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: me anything I can do to make this happen. We
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: love the hearts that you have for your family and
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: one day when we're married. The way I want to
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: tell him he's a dad. The way I want to
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: tell him he's a dad is literally by putting out Pt.
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: Six merch on the table. Thanks so much for the consideration,
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: and God bless y'all. He's a strong, compassionate and so
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: patient and just the funniest and most handsome guy. I
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: know the definition of nothing is not my job. Such
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: a hard worker, and I am so proud of the man,
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: the man of God that he is. If anyone deserves
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: a b day shout out, it's my man, Jay.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: Dude. Happy birthday, Jay.
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: Jay, you already got the best gift of all time. Bro,
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: that's crazy. Sounds like Jay crushes it, dude, Jane crushes.
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: They're not even married yet, and She's like, this is
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: this is the guy I'm telling you. I can't wait
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: to have kids with him, can't wait for him to
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: be a father. Seemen Team six, Happy birthday, Happy birthday, Bro,
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: Jay Hernandez, Good lord.
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: What's the was it was that a dad hack pile
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: the dad hack steck. Yesterday was a tough day for me.
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: I need a little grace here, dad.
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: Hack finds you a woman that's going to write something
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: like that to be featured before the.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: Day it was good dad hack.
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: My second dad hack is this one comes from Cheney
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: Got It PT six Siko on YouTube to all PT
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: six this Jilly Bean situation fellas is something we should
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: not take lightly.
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: Again.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: If you listened to the episode last week, Jilly Bean
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: wrote a comment in on Facebook and somebody.
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: Said yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: What was the comment back is like, hey, how about
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: you stop asking for people to raise your kids and
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: you raise them, you raise them yourself. Yeah, you stripid
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: B word. Yeah no, truly like you you F and
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: B and you're a piece of shit right Because Jilly
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: Bean was asking if there were any sitters in the area,
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: went to a Facebook group and was just trying to
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: vet like, Hey, any recommendations out there for babysitters me
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: and Hppy we're trying to go on a date night.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: Can we set up a sting operation? These are the
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: pt Siccos I've been waiting this is Cheney Got It
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: PT six Siko. Can we create another profile and post
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: something similar to what Jill posted so we can lure
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: this jackass out again? Because you know this isn't the
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: first time he's had something on that Facebook group dot
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: just an idea.
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: Hey, those are people you go to war.
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: I'll tell you right now, Channing Channing, Channing Chane.
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: Cheney Cheney.
- 1:19:01Speaker 3: I will find this Facebook group and I will post
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: it in there, and i'll uh, you know, put the
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: babysitter thing out there, and we'll see if we can't
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: catch one.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: We'll see if we can't catch one, because I would
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: love here we go again. There's another one that doesn't
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: want to raise their kid. They want the village to
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: raise it.
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's time to set up this sting operation. Shout
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: out Cheney for this. That's a bad hack. That's adad hack.
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: Lure him out, lure him out. That is a good dad,
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: a good dad hack. You thought dad's worked together, Yes,
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: this is our dad's worked together.
- 1:19:39Speaker 3: Our dot canner five seven one seven. On YouTube, he said,
- 1:19:44Speaker 3: I've recently graduated from buds to p PT six.
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: Congratulations wife.
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: He went into labor on New Year's Eve and after
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: a very few, very stressful moments in the hospital, our
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: firstborn boy h I was brought into the world on
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: January second.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: Couldn't be happier.
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: And I have our very own bear cub to call
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: our own dude January second. That was literally last week. Congratulations,
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: a few dad hacks I was already able to pick
- 1:20:13Speaker 3: up even after only being a dad for less than
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: a week. I bought wife a pair of cheap walkie
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: talkies for Christmas for us to use while we're in
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: the newborn trenches. I can already tell you that saying
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: this is Papa Bear come in, Mama Bear over the
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: radio has already been useful and brought some fun into our.
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: New journey of perra. This is great. That was awesome.
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: I want Walkees immediately for expecting dads. Go ahead and
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: buy yourself some Halo brand baby swaddles. We couldn't for
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: the life of us get the traditional swaddle or even
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: velcro swaddle to work the first few days, but the
- 1:20:48Speaker 3: Halo has been a godsend. Do yourself a favor and
- 1:20:51Speaker 3: get on that. I have heard Jill bring up Halo before.
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: That's like a big brand. Biggest thing I was worried
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: about before becoming a father was whether or not I'd
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: be able to quote unquote lock in and think clearly
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: in terms of helping out mom, taking care of our
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: little man et cetera. However, if you just follow what
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: these guys say and embrace the suck, both in the
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: hospital and at home, you'll be hooked in terms of
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: being a father, which will in turn help wife you
- 1:21:19Speaker 3: get more sleep and get through this very difficult adjustment
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: period skin to skin. Decluttering the house and picking up
- 1:21:26Speaker 3: a lot of the late shifts might sound like more work,
- 1:21:29Speaker 3: but just embracing it all will actually one make it
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: easier to navigate.
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: Love what you guys do?
- 1:21:35Speaker 3: You guys truly help me prepare for this new journey.
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: Your boy Ryan aka Smalls Dude.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: Shout out Ryan, that's good. That's a good right in.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: That's a lot of good Dad hecks in there too,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: fabulous right in. Ryan murdered it with the walkie talkies.
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: Murdered it with the walkie talkies coming in sneaky, Sneaky
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: is decluttering the house and picking up picking up late
- 1:21:57Speaker 3: night shifts. Yeah, just like viewing it that way is
- 1:22:01Speaker 3: he doesn't know how much of a w that is
- 1:22:03Speaker 3: extra miniature dad hack.
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: When they tell you that's okay, I can do it.
- 1:22:09Speaker 3: Go ahead and do it without telling them, do without
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: telling him doing it, bro, And then they'll go oh
- 1:22:16Speaker 3: did you move that blah blah blah. Oh yeah, yeah
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: I did that earlier.
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: No, you don't have to do that. It's fine, that's
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: an immediate go do it and know you and tell
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: him about it. Yeah.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: And then when you see him going to come across
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: whatever it is, like, say, you cleaned off the island. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: She gets up from the couch, she goes over. She
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: might get herself an lollipop out of the fridge, of course,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: and then she notices the island. You have to be
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: ready for when you were sitting back in the chair
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: and you're kind of watching like when she's gonna when
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: is she gonna pick this up? And then she sees
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: and she kind of like looks around and then like
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: like looks over at you, and you're just gonna be
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: sitting there like.
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: Ask who did that? Go ahead and ask I'm on
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: top of the world. I'm on top of the wood. Truly.
- 1:23:04Speaker 3: There is no better feeling, none, and that is the
- 1:23:07Speaker 3: best feeling to hit him, either with the handwipes or
- 1:23:09Speaker 3: the who loves you baby?
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: I was hoping to set something up like that last
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: night whenever I didn't wash Rue's hair on Sunday night
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: and got it washed last night. We're recording right now
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: on Tuesday. Yeah, but Mom calls to like check in,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: let her know she's on her way, and you which dinner?
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: Which dinner we got rolling tonight?
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: Yeah? Something.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: We were catching up on something, and Rude just leans
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: in because she's got her pjs on, fresh shed and
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: just braying new, clean hair. It's like, Mama washed my
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: hair and kind of blew the surprise before Mama came home,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: because I was waiting for Mama to see Rue.
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: Oh.
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: Ruin gives her hug, like, oh, you're clean, and then
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: I was just gonna be standing there like you doubted me,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: didn't You told you wasn't gonna have to do nothing,
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: told you I get her hair washed.
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: Rus spoils it before you, even after.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: Your because I'm sitting there on speaker, and then you know,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: Scotti hears Mom's voice.
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: She's by the chair, Usa like leaning over top of
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: the chair.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: Oh this was over the phone, over the phone on speaker.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: When you're gonna be home or Rue, she's fifteen minutes away.
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: She's like, Mama, I washed my hair, and I just
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: go damn it.
- 1:24:16Speaker 5: Rue.
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: She goes dang it, dang it, yeah, dang it, Roue.
- 1:24:21Speaker 3: Hey, I think Rue is very intelligent. I'm not just
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: saying that Real is very intelligent. She's at that that
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: phase that I think you could have the talk with
- 1:24:31Speaker 3: her of Ru. You you could really be uh, dad
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: Dad's number one girl if you. What I need you
- 1:24:41Speaker 3: to do is make Daddad look as good as possible
- 1:24:45Speaker 3: in front of Mama's This is what's gonna happen. These
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: are the steps that we're gonna take you. I am
- 1:24:51Speaker 3: fully bringing you to my side. These are the ways
- 1:24:54Speaker 3: that you can assist me. Yeah, I think she might
- 1:24:57Speaker 3: be ready.
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: For that talk. Framing a way to empower her. Opportunity
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: that she has.
- 1:25:01Speaker 3: This is a big opportunity for you, Rue.
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: Let her know it's not for me, Oh, no, for her,
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: for you.
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: Yeah, you could really do some damage here, real. Yeah.
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: Oh the kitchen smells so good. Oh really, Rue, Oh
- 1:25:18Speaker 3: my gosh. Oh yeah, the kitchen does smell good.
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: Honey.
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: Oh yeah, well I cleaned it. I guess I don't
- 1:25:23Speaker 3: know what Roue's talking about.
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: Just ride when mom comes home. Dad did a really
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: good job playing in the entire kitchen. Sweetheart, you don't
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: have to say that a cookie on the side. Keep
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: it up, keep it up. Hey, there we go. Okay,
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: I have two voice smails, perfect, let's rip them. Uh,
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: just a reminder.
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: You call in, you get free merch six and one
- 1:25:46Speaker 3: the dad six on one of the dads that's the
- 1:25:48Speaker 3: call in number. You don't want to call in, you
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: ride in six. On one of the dad's at Gmail,
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: you get a hat boom. This one's titled don't eat
- 1:25:57Speaker 3: my Oreos?
- 1:26:00Speaker 7: What up?
- 1:26:00Speaker 6: Boys? On my emergency gas station?
- 1:26:04Speaker 8: Run?
- 1:26:05Speaker 6: My wife is thirty five weeks pregnant.
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: Yeah, he's in the turches. Baby here any day.
- 1:26:13Speaker 6: We kind of have an unwritten rule on our house,
- 1:26:17Speaker 6: but I'm not allowed to eat anything if it's the
- 1:26:22Speaker 6: last like thing of it, like last cookie in the jar.
- 1:26:28Speaker 6: So that ties into this story. We had some oreos
- 1:26:33Speaker 6: in the cabinet and there was like three left for
- 1:26:37Speaker 6: about a week, and I just followed that unwritten rule
- 1:26:41Speaker 6: and didn't need them. Well tonight comes along. It's been
- 1:26:45Speaker 6: about a week, like I said, and your.
- 1:26:48Speaker 8: Boy was hungry. Dad's hungry, So I snacked on three oreos.
- 1:26:53Speaker 8: It's currently eight point fifty. My wife's laying in bed.
- 1:26:59Speaker 8: Kind of some of those oreos that are left in
- 1:27:01Speaker 8: the cabinet.
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: God damn it.
- 1:27:04Speaker 6: Thank god the gas dish was open though, you boy
- 1:27:08Speaker 6: got some ordos.
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: This is a broken man. God damn.
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: Hey, that's a broken man right there. That's a man
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: who's just been overruled. You can't have the last of
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: whatever it is in the pantry that I might want.
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: He doesn't know what to do. He doesn't know how
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: to communicate. Right after life thirty five weeks breakant. He
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: can't really say a whole lot, you're you're not doing
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: anything wrong.
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: It's okay. You should be a broken man in thirty
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: five weeks. And can I say this, he made the
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: right call eating the last three. He did.
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: If they've been sitting there for a week, nobody only
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: psychos might eat one or two oreos at a time. God,
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: if there's a three piece in there that's like the
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: serving size.
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: And the and the little just glass of milk slides
- 1:27:56Speaker 3: and right next to those three oreos, Oh my god,
- 1:27:59Speaker 3: who leaves.
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: Three oreos in the pack? He goes, Yeah, we're gonna
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: leave three left to me. That's it.
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: I don't mind the thought of the three oreos. But
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: it gets confusing because there's three that's been sitting there
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: for a week. And when I go in and I'm
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: thinking I'm gonna get me some oreos, you're gonna eat
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: a few oreos at least if there's three left.
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: That's a fine serving right there. That's decent. It's not
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: gonna it's not you know, it's kind of.
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: Like a reminder. Okay, I don't need more than three,
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: but there's three here that's good enough to operate. Yeah,
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: Because when you're pouring a glass of milk, you're not
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: just pouring like an inch of milk. If it's one oreo,
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: like you're pouring yourself a glass of milk, you might
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: cut it in half, just do half the glass.
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: And that right there tells you I'll make those.
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: Three work with this milk that I have a hundred
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: per You sit there and four a quarter of milk
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: in the glass. You're not gonna pour anything in between that.
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: You want a glass of milk and you can't be
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: stuck there. You eat one or two oreos and then
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: you have a lot of milk left. It just doesn't
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: work like that.
- 1:28:49Speaker 3: It does not work like that, dude. I will say
- 1:28:52Speaker 3: this is only this is a special occasion. I hate
- 1:28:54Speaker 3: to put the pressure on Allipop here because I definitely am.
- 1:28:59Speaker 3: I think this guy needs more than just merch. He
- 1:29:02Speaker 3: needs something a little sweet. I think we I think
- 1:29:04Speaker 3: he needs a little lollipops in his way too. He
- 1:29:07Speaker 3: needs a little tree.
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: Oh do you think we can get the power to
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: send ollipop to people? I thought Surean was gonna pitch
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: Allipop milk. Oh for a solid lollipop milk could be
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: good too. I'm just gooda reach out to Allipop.
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: We could reach out to Ollipop, give the information and
- 1:29:21Speaker 3: say he listen, this this broken, broken man called in
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: and uh, I mean he's eating table scraps. He's eating
- 1:29:29Speaker 3: table scraps as he should be thirty five week you know,
- 1:29:32Speaker 3: pregnant mommy first time dad.
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: I believe.
- 1:29:36Speaker 3: I just think that could be a good opportunity of
- 1:29:38Speaker 3: just give them a little sweet tree. Get that a
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: little sweet tree.
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: We'll see if we could do it. We'll work the
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: back channel. We'll work the back get the power of
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: sending people from us, sending like call ins. Maybe right,
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: whatever it is, we will see if we have the
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: power to dish out ollipop.
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: That could be fun. They could be smart for Ollipop.
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: That could be smart for Allipop. Don't want to put
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: the pressure.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: Don't want to put the pressure, but they need to Ollipop.
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: These understand that PT six is their strongest fan base.
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, and you're gonna have a customer for life
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: when that when that alley pop comes.
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: Come on, man, come on, think about the photo he's
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: gonna drop when he hits an Allipop at his front door.
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: That's gonna be the best gift that he's seen. And
- 1:30:17Speaker 3: this guy hasn't seen the light in weeks.
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: He needs a win, He needs a dub. He needs
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: a dub.
- 1:30:24Speaker 3: Quinton from Washington joining PT six today literally today.
- 1:30:31Speaker 7: Boy's name is Quintin from Washington. Pretty sure I'll be
- 1:30:38Speaker 7: joining the club today. Had to let's call Quinn life
- 1:30:42Speaker 7: flight My wife at thirty three weeks pregnant up to
- 1:30:47Speaker 7: a bigger hospital. So I am currently making the hour
- 1:30:51Speaker 7: drive to that hospital and just kind of going through
- 1:30:55Speaker 7: the thought of what that's gonna be like. Just wanted
- 1:30:59Speaker 7: to let you guys know it's great to be prepped,
- 1:31:02Speaker 7: and without this podcast, there's so much stuff that I
- 1:31:06Speaker 7: just wouldn't have ever thought about or crossing my mind.
- 1:31:10Speaker 7: You guys do great you know, getting all of us
- 1:31:13Speaker 7: prepped for that moment when it does come. So hopefully
- 1:31:18Speaker 7: expecting a.
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: Healthy little baby boy boom.
- 1:31:20Speaker 7: A little premature, but we'll get through that. Come on, man,
- 1:31:24Speaker 7: and uh yeah, appreciate you guys, love the brand, keep
- 1:31:28Speaker 7: doing it.
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: Quinn on the way, Win.
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: I hope everything goes well with baby and mom. Yep, premature,
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: maybe a couple of nick u knights, not sure either way,
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: handle it.
- 1:31:39Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, you'll have to do the billy lights, probably
- 1:31:42Speaker 3: the blue lights, and you'll just hold you know, little
- 1:31:44Speaker 3: baby's hands in there.
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: They're gonna be crying because they want skin to skin.
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: You'll be crying.
- 1:31:48Speaker 3: Who doesn't, but he's got Quentin is gonna be dialed. Yeah, wow,
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: thank you for the calling, bro, Yes, thank you, shout
- 1:31:55Speaker 3: out you.
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: Quinn new PT six full on PT six member, Yeah, welcome,
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: welcome them, left and right.
- 1:32:00Speaker 3: Bro.
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: I had I had something.
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: I can't remember what it is. Maybe it'll drop my
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: memory as we get into it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: got some emails. Yeah, a couple of email right ins here.
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: This one is from Colin Staff for neck godly boy.
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: These last some of these last names just sends me
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: in a frenzy and every time, I just got my
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: wife in my ear, like you always kind of mess
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: up the names and you kind of you need to
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: just say the name if it's right or wrong, and
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: just go with it. Like you keep trying to repeat it,
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: you just butcher it even more. Hey, boys, day one
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: sick Oh. Just wanting to thank you guys for what
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: you're doing in the content you put out. I'm a
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: proud dad boy, dad of a two year old with
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: another little man on the way in April. Congratulations to you.
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: I have a question for Will about potty training. My
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: son has shown some interest in the toilet and aware
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: when he has to go in the bathroom. Do we
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: start now or wait until after the new baby arrives.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: I've been told of a regression may happen once the
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: newborn arrives. Just wondering if there was an issue during
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: that time with Rue when Scott Zilla came along. Appreciate
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: the PT six community. Shout out my brother in law,
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: wife and sister for my Christmas Dad merch always go
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: big Red.
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: Hey GBR and JBR, thank you for getting the Christmas March.
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: That's awesome. I know boys are there. It's a little
- 1:33:15Speaker 2: bit different with with girls as far as potty training goes.
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: I would say, if he's taking interest, like you take
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: any opportunity you can to like expand on that interest of.
- 1:33:25Speaker 2: Him going potty.
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: I know when Rue, when we potty trained Roue, we
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: just went no diaper, no nothing for like a good
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: two three days. Because they're they're becoming more conscious of
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: their body. It's just getting them to go to the toilet. Yeah,
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: Like we'd have a Daniel Tiger has this song like
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: would you like to go potty? Maybe yes, maybe no,
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: Let's let's try and see if you have to go.
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: It's something like that. It's something like that. He's not
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: a fact.
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: We got we got to print it out and put
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: it on the wall in the bathroom because he's a
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: big Daniel Tiger fan, a little baron Daniel Tiger, and
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: so we would just always have like those conversations with her. Again,
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: when when Ru went in and got into potty training mode,
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: like my wife Danny, everybody was on board. Because I
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: came home and r was just naked running around the
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: house one day, I'm like, what's going on there?
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: Like potty training.
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: I'm like, well, what if she piece on the floor.
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: It's like, this is how you gotta kind of throw
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: them into the fire. They got to learn because she
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: was like interested in she was starting to feel it
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: come along, or being like maybe I'll have to go
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: potty and then you go down the potty and kind
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: of sit there and nothing happens.
- 1:34:23Speaker 2: Yeah, but that is how we did it. I know.
- 1:34:26Speaker 2: Boys are a little bit different, like getting that getting that,
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: you know, getting that private part game correctly.
- 1:34:33Speaker 3: There's some there's some stuff that's got to happen. Yeah,
- 1:34:35Speaker 3: the for the stand up game, you feel it.
- 1:34:37Speaker 2: You just gotta let it go. Got let go.
- 1:34:39Speaker 3: You gotta let it go, man, let go, Man, not
- 1:34:41Speaker 3: right there, let's do it.
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: In the toilet.
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: Yeah, but I guess from that, I know I didn't
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: really give you a full answer, but maybe coming up
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: with a jingle or a song something that when potty
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: time is upon us, you get something that like dives
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: into that answer.
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: So, oh, hey, you gotta go, Hey, this is awesome,
- 1:34:58Speaker 2: celebrate it.
- 1:35:00Speaker 3: Yeah, get your own little beat. Yeah, throw a little
- 1:35:02Speaker 3: freestyle beat on and you come up with your own song.
- 1:35:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Maybe that yeah, pee with him, pee with yeah.
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: Man, trying to put myself into the brain of a
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: boy that we're gonna figure this out.
- 1:35:15Speaker 2: What's dead?
- 1:35:15Speaker 3: I take a peek that you old man, does it
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: watch this shit? I love that I have an email.
- 1:35:24Speaker 3: This could be our last email and then lesson of
- 1:35:25Speaker 3: the week. Okay, we're pressed on.
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: Time, pressed on time. I gotta keys on the standard hour.
- 1:35:29Speaker 3: This is Michael Benino, he writes in and says Willie
- 1:35:32Speaker 3: one shelf and Fat Stafford been rocking with the boys
- 1:35:35Speaker 3: since the Busting with the Boys' days and haven't missed
- 1:35:37Speaker 3: an episode of for the Dad since you two are
- 1:35:40Speaker 3: dangerously good at making grown men feel seen. My wife
- 1:35:44Speaker 3: and I have been together since seventeen, married in twenty one,
- 1:35:48Speaker 3: and now we are officially expecting our first kid. Found
- 1:35:52Speaker 3: out it's a girl and her name is going to
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: be Vianna. Congratulations, Michael, fired up and terrified in all
- 1:35:59Speaker 3: the right way. Sure, hearing you talk about being a
- 1:36:02Speaker 3: new dad has been clutch. I know I'm about to
- 1:36:05Speaker 3: get humbled daily. I know I'm going to be running
- 1:36:07Speaker 3: on fumes, and I know that I'm going to have
- 1:36:10Speaker 3: to step up for my wife and my daughter like
- 1:36:13Speaker 3: never before.
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: I'm a plan.
- 1:36:15Speaker 3: I'm a plan everything, control everything, execute, everything type of dude,
- 1:36:20Speaker 3: and listening to you has helped me accept that I
- 1:36:23Speaker 3: am about to get blitzed from every direction and still
- 1:36:27Speaker 3: have to stand in the pocket and deliver.
- 1:36:29Speaker 2: William.
- 1:36:31Speaker 3: Your commitment to everything you touch is a big reason
- 1:36:34Speaker 3: why I'm a diehard. The grind, the passion, the way
- 1:36:37Speaker 3: you'd attack your day, I relate to that heavy. I've
- 1:36:40Speaker 3: been stressing about how I'm going to balance being that
- 1:36:43Speaker 3: dude at work while also being that dude at home.
- 1:36:46Speaker 2: Hearing you talk about.
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: It gives me the confidence I am that I am
- 1:36:50Speaker 3: built for it. I am ready to find out what
- 1:36:54Speaker 3: else I have in the tank and make sure I
- 1:36:56Speaker 3: do not fumble when it comes to showing up for
- 1:36:59Speaker 3: my family.
- 1:37:00Speaker 2: My wife is a legend.
- 1:37:01Speaker 3: She's slowly become a fan too, listens to the pod
- 1:37:04Speaker 3: with me on drives, and she even hooked me up
- 1:37:07Speaker 3: with your Christmas merch. Come on six, Come on MT six,
- 1:37:11Speaker 3: stay tuned for Valentine's State.
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: That's all I'm gonna say. MT six.
- 1:37:14Speaker 3: I'm pumped about that, but I'm even more pumped to
- 1:37:18Speaker 3: watch her crush this pregnancy and do all the things
- 1:37:20Speaker 3: that make moms absolute superheroes, just like Jilly bean in charo.
- 1:37:26Speaker 3: Keep it rolling, boys, we live for this shit. Keep
- 1:37:31Speaker 3: it rolling, boys, we live for this shit. Sleepless nights ahead.
- 1:37:35Speaker 2: Good.
- 1:37:36Speaker 3: He then followed up seventeen hours later. Oh dear god,
- 1:37:39Speaker 3: I almost forgot about chef the man dude. For those
- 1:37:45Speaker 3: emailing in, if you give out hats, can we get
- 1:37:48Speaker 3: a chef hat would be fire. It's been fun seeing
- 1:37:51Speaker 3: your career get off to a hot star. Bro, don't
- 1:37:53Speaker 3: forget to hit that record button and keep it under
- 1:37:56Speaker 3: an hour.
- 1:37:57Speaker 2: What a legend? What was his name?
- 1:37:58Speaker 3: Michael Benino? Michael, thank you for the right end.
- 1:38:01Speaker 5: Bro.
- 1:38:03Speaker 2: It's all about handling the pressure.
- 1:38:04Speaker 3: Yeah, it really is.
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: He is, he said, I'm Bill Fort. He is Bill Fort.
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: He's a Papa Team sixer. He's a bet sixer.
- 1:38:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:38:10Speaker 3: And he he brought up like all the great things
- 1:38:13Speaker 3: I think, like we bring up every single episode. The
- 1:38:16Speaker 3: part that I find so funny is that he's like, Man,
- 1:38:20Speaker 3: I'm a I'm a planet guy. I'm I'm an have
- 1:38:23Speaker 3: it all down to detail guy, Man Sherman. The way
- 1:38:26Speaker 3: that you're operating, I'm like the least planned out guy.
- 1:38:31Speaker 3: I'm the least dialed in guy. And so the fact
- 1:38:35Speaker 3: that he's giving me flowers for that, Michael. I'm not
- 1:38:37Speaker 3: deserving of that, but I do thank you for your
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: kind words. And if I'm able to trick you all
- 1:38:42Speaker 3: into believing that I'm even somewhat planned out, it's because
- 1:38:47Speaker 3: of the things that I've truly learned on the show
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: and from my wife.
- 1:38:51Speaker 2: But thank you, Michael.
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: Yeah, he's said he's thinking the right way, and you
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: just got to know that the plan is never going
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: to go according to plan. Oh, any structure, because I'm
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: big on prioritizing structure, like giving myself some control and
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: power over what the daily operation is going to look.
- 1:39:06Speaker 2: Like in my life.
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but just know whenever you structure out this plan
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: right in pencil, oh, because it's.
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: Not always change.
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: It can always change, and then when it does change,
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: it's all about handling the pressure. He's saying he's gonna
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: get blitz He's got to know he gets blitzed. Yeah,
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: but that QBR that passer rating can't drop below one hundred.
- 1:39:23Speaker 3: Yes, And if his empty six er is built like
- 1:39:26Speaker 3: me and he's more built like Jilly Bean personality wise,
- 1:39:30Speaker 3: it does balance out. Like there there are some pros
- 1:39:33Speaker 3: of like my I would say Laise Fair kind of
- 1:39:36Speaker 3: like roll with the punches where you can really help
- 1:39:39Speaker 3: bring your partner down of like, hey, it's not going
- 1:39:42Speaker 3: to plan, but okay, look at this boom new options.
- 1:39:44Speaker 2: Keeping that enthusiasm.
- 1:39:45Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we're good good, We're good good. Yes, dude, yes,
- 1:39:49Speaker 3: goes a shit good. Those are shit good.
- 1:39:52Speaker 1: The hardest thing I've been thinking about this question too, like,
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: what is the hardest thing about parenthood? Would you be
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: able to answer that right now?
- 1:40:05Speaker 2: Hardest thing about parenthood?
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: Because here, here's here's one of my thoughts. Okay, because
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: again it's like it's it's it's all hard, like it's
- 1:40:15Speaker 1: all difficult. Yeah, I feel like the hardest thing about
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: parenthood is knowing that life that you knew it to
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: be before parenthood is now gone, like killing your old self.
- 1:40:32Speaker 1: Not like the values and the foundational things that make
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: you who you are, but when you get in those
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: moments of chaos with kids, your wife, work, Like when
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: my man is driving to the gas station, he's having
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: his emergency gas station run, but there's no thought of
- 1:40:50Speaker 1: like it's the thought is this is every day, I
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: guess until they leave the nest, you know what I mean?
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: Like the responsibility of all of it is now all encompassing,
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: and it's on you and the family. Like there's no
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna take a week off. I'm gonna take the
- 1:41:06Speaker 1: weekend and go to my parents' house, you know what
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: I mean, Like some people might do that.
- 1:41:10Speaker 2: Yeah, but you need like no matter what.
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: Like, the hardest thing is knowing that all the not
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: like fun because there's a lot, there's all it's nothing
- 1:41:19Speaker 1: but new fun in parenthood and everything else. Yeah, but
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: you just have so many moments of being like, you know,
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: Charle might bring up remember when we got to.
- 1:41:26Speaker 2: Just do that.
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: It's like, yeah, you kind of miss it sometimes, but
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: you obviously love having the family and this new life
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: that you have.
- 1:41:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:41:34Speaker 1: The fact, the hardest thing is knowing that that those
- 1:41:36Speaker 1: chapters before parenthood, it's like those are things that you
- 1:41:39Speaker 1: just reflect on. That's not you don't have those freedoms
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: and everything anymore because you have to take on such
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: a massive responsibility, a great responsibility, almost fulfilling responsibility. But uh,
- 1:41:49Speaker 1: I think a question that I've kind of just been
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: wrestling with, I would love for everybody too that's listening
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: to this BT six milk team, Say, any parent out there. Yeah,
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: you know, drop some drop of comment or anything else.
- 1:41:59Speaker 3: I think the I think the in response to that too,
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: the kind of cool and beautiful thing of just like, uh,
- 1:42:07Speaker 3: there's like something built in us humans that maybe not
- 1:42:11Speaker 3: in everybody, but I feel like and parents like it's
- 1:42:15Speaker 3: a switch that just kind of turns on and you're
- 1:42:17Speaker 3: all of a sudden like so happy to be in
- 1:42:21Speaker 3: that new world too. Ye, Like, for sure, it is
- 1:42:25Speaker 3: so hard, Like I'm not I'm not saying that that
- 1:42:27Speaker 3: is I'm not going to again.
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: This was like a question that's come to my mind,
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: and I'm just kind of bouncing back and forth thinking
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: of ways where it's like if somebody asked me, what's
- 1:42:36Speaker 1: the hardest thing about parenthood? Like what would I What
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: would I say? How would I respond?
- 1:42:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it's crazy, Like how stoked I am sometimes to
- 1:42:43Speaker 3: just have uh, Scarlet just like sitting on my lap
- 1:42:47Speaker 3: where I would have loved to have my favorite show
- 1:42:49Speaker 3: on and I'm decompressing after work and all that stuff.
- 1:42:52Speaker 2: But you're just like you're kind of playing with Scarlet.
- 1:42:55Speaker 3: She's not doing anything cool if a third party was watching,
- 1:42:59Speaker 3: But I'm every thirty seconds just like Jill.
- 1:43:04Speaker 2: She's doing that. Yes, sureman, she's been doing that for
- 1:43:06Speaker 2: like a week now. I haven't seen that. That's great.
- 1:43:08Speaker 3: Like just all the things said, like you weirdly become
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: obsessed with or we like three minutes, Yeah, we need
- 1:43:15Speaker 3: to wrap now. That could be our lesson of the week.
- 1:43:17Speaker 3: I had a I have a good just quote. This
- 1:43:20Speaker 3: is Dan Gable quote right here.
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: Let me google a dan Gable quote on mindset and sacrifice.
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: When I'd get tired and want to stop, I wonder
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: what my next opponent was doing, Think about what the
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: enemy's doing, Think about what the next dad is doing.
- 1:43:34Speaker 2: I try to visualize him.
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: When I could see him working, I'd start pushing myself
- 1:43:38Speaker 1: harder end quote, and.
