- 0:01Speaker 1: Tony Winfrey, presented by Hard Rock Bet. Accidents don't wait
- 0:04Speaker 1: for good timing. One bad moment, you've got a wreck,
- 0:06Speaker 1: a fall, a doctor who wasn't paying attention, and suddenly
- 0:09Speaker 1: you're fighting an insurance company that does this every single day.
- 0:12Speaker 1: And that's why Clay started Clay Travis Law. He's a
- 0:14Speaker 1: Vanderbilt Law grad. He built a firm around the idea
- 0:16Speaker 1: that people deserve someone that's willing to pay attention, ask
- 0:19Speaker 1: the hard questions, push back when things don't add up,
- 0:21Speaker 1: experienced trial attorneys who bring the fight to corporations and
- 0:24Speaker 1: insurers based in Nashville, trusted across the country.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Car and truck wrecks, ride share accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability,
- 0:31Speaker 2: product liability. If you were wrong, they want to hear
- 0:33Speaker 2: about it. Here's what they promise.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Honesty.
- 0:35Speaker 2: They don't sugarcoat your case. You'll hear what it's actually worth,
- 0:38Speaker 2: not what you want to hear. Case evaluation is free.
- 0:40Speaker 2: No charge, no pressure, no hassle. Just tell them your story.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Go to claytravislaw.com or call them at 877-222-4444. That's claytravislaw.com.
- 0:46Speaker 2: No case is too big or too small.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Chad, what is Ronald Acuna's biggest issue in the postseason?
- 0:56Speaker 1: You were laying this out for me yesterday a bit,
- 0:59Speaker 1: and you've come with some numbers here that will probably
- 1:02Speaker 1: surprise a lot of people.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Well, his biggest issue is he doesn't hit in the postseason,
- 1:07Speaker 2: and that was the Braves' biggest issue throughout this postseason.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I think we got the runners in scoring position number
- 1:12Speaker 2: for the Braves that we're going to show you also
- 1:14Speaker 2: that is historically bad. It is so bad that the
- 1:18Speaker 2: last time numbers were this bad for the Braves offensively,
- 1:22Speaker 2: I think was 1966.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:26Speaker 2: If I'm correct, and that's not Braves, here it is.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Braves won for 23. That's an 0-43 average with runners
- 1:33Speaker 2: in scoring position in the series against the Dodgers. Second
- 1:35Speaker 2: lowest batting average in a postseason series in MLB history
- 1:40Speaker 2: with a minimum 20 at-bats behind only the Dodgers in
- 1:43Speaker 2: the 66 World Series who went 0-22. Ronald Acuna specifically.
- 1:50Speaker 2: I'll go back to what I said yesterday. When did
- 1:52Speaker 2: the Braves win the World Series?
- 1:53Speaker 1: Without him.
- 1:54Speaker 2: It was without Ronald Acuna. This is now a trend
- 2:00Speaker 2: in the postseason. He's bad. I don't know what happens
- 2:03Speaker 2: to him, but he is bad. Ronald Acuna is an
- 2:06Speaker 2: emotional player who plays on the edge, who oftentimes does
- 2:10Speaker 2: not play very smart, but he plays with that fire.
- 2:14Speaker 2: That fire gets extinguished every October. Every time he is
- 2:18Speaker 2: healthy and playing, and by the way, it's few and
- 2:20Speaker 2: far between now that he's actually healthy. He's certainly not
- 2:22Speaker 2: been healthy for a full season in quite a while,
- 2:26Speaker 2: but he has been really bad. So bad that there's
- 2:29Speaker 2: one person posting that maybe there's a comp for Ronald
- 2:33Speaker 2: Acuna Jr. in the postseason. And that is this man.
- 2:37Speaker 2: He is the Dak Prescott of Major League Baseball postseason. Really,
- 2:41Speaker 2: really funny with this one. Ronald Acuna Jr. also apparently
- 2:45Speaker 2: deleted all Braves stuff from his social media, which it's now–
- 2:51Speaker 2: he put a Spanish word in there, and he had
- 2:54Speaker 2: Braves things before and described himself as a Braves outfielder
- 2:57Speaker 2: or player and all this, and now he's gone away
- 2:59Speaker 2: from that. The first response was amazing. Someone said– I
- 3:04Speaker 2: don't speak Spanish, but is this Spanish for strikeout when
- 3:07Speaker 2: he changed his name to this word? He's bad. I
- 3:15Speaker 2: love the guy. I love what he's done for the Braves,
- 3:18Speaker 2: but I found myself asking the question tonight, are the
- 3:20Speaker 2: Braves better off trading him and moving on from this?
- 3:24Speaker 2: The crowd booed him mercilessly with a runner in scoring
- 3:27Speaker 2: position in two outs, first pitch ground out to end
- 3:30Speaker 2: an inning. I mean, they booed throughout the TV timeout.
- 3:33Speaker 2: There's plenty of videos of how loud the boos got.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Acuna was asked about the boos postgame through his translator.
- 3:38Speaker 1: He owned it.
- 3:39Speaker 2: He said, they have every right to boo. Based on
- 3:41Speaker 2: my talent and ability, I did nothing. I did nothing
- 3:44Speaker 2: the entire postseason, and they have every right to boo.
- 3:47Speaker 2: But looked very upset, very angry. I don't know what
- 3:51Speaker 2: his future is like with this team. He's a guy
- 3:54Speaker 2: who's not healthy very often. And then when you get
- 3:56Speaker 2: in those moments, I mean, Hudney, you can't. Michael Harris
- 3:59Speaker 2: was the only guy who showed up. for the Braves
- 4:02Speaker 2: in the postseason offensively. Matt Olsen wasn't good. Drake Baldwin
- 4:06Speaker 2: was not good. Go down the lineup. Austin Riley had
- 4:09Speaker 2: the one moment in game one against the Phillies with
- 4:12Speaker 2: a three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth. Other
- 4:14Speaker 2: than that, you had a bunch of no-shows offensively for
- 4:18Speaker 2: the Atlanta Braves. Their pitchers showed up. Ray Kerr certainly
- 4:21Speaker 2: showed up.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Yeah, he did.
- 4:22Speaker 2: My guy, Ray Kerr, God bless Ray Kerr for what
- 4:24Speaker 2: he was able to do as the spot starter in
- 4:27Speaker 2: two of those winning games for the Braves. But the
- 4:30Speaker 2: rest of the lineup outside of Michael Harris, not good enough.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I'm not sure how you guys beat the Phillies, given
- 4:35Speaker 1: all this. But I will say, Chad, in game three,
- 4:41Speaker 1: bases loaded, fifth inning. Acuna's at bat, I believe, in
- 4:45Speaker 1: one of those. There's still something about him, man, where
- 4:49Speaker 1: I think he's going to do something when he's at
- 4:51Speaker 1: the plate.
- 4:52Speaker 2: I look at his face.
- 4:53Speaker 1: There's still the electricity that I'm drawn to when he's
- 4:55Speaker 1: at bat.
- 4:56Speaker 2: And I look at his face when he comes to bat,
- 4:58Speaker 2: and I'm thinking, you're out. You're out already. You could
- 5:00Speaker 2: just see it. Even like every home run that was
- 5:04Speaker 2: hit his way, Phillies and Dodgers, he doesn't move, which
- 5:08Speaker 2: is a bad look for the pitcher. Yes. You just
- 5:11Speaker 2: stand and look forward. As the ball's hit, don't even
- 5:14Speaker 2: make an effort to run back because you know it's gone.
- 5:16Speaker 2: He did that repeatedly. He looked like a guy that
- 5:19Speaker 2: something's going on, that he's not happy with his place.
- 5:23Speaker 2: I don't know why. The one thing that I will
- 5:26Speaker 2: second-guess is Walt Weiss, who was great all season. And look,
- 5:29Speaker 2: this was a great season to be a Braves fan.
- 5:31Speaker 2: I didn't expect him to win the division. They had
- 5:33Speaker 2: a great year. They beat the Phillies, which I'm super
- 5:35Speaker 2: thrilled about.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Won a lot.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Everybody's going to lose the Dodgers. The Dodgers are the
- 5:39Speaker 2: team that's about to win three straight World Series, likely.
- 5:42Speaker 2: And then baseball is going to shut down and everyone's
- 5:44Speaker 2: going to blame the Dodgers because of that. So I
- 5:46Speaker 2: understand losing to the Dodgers in a four-game series where
- 5:49Speaker 2: every game was competitive and you got one of them.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I'm not overall bummed about that part of it. It's
- 5:55Speaker 2: just if you're the Braves in any team, your stars
- 5:59Speaker 2: have to be stars at some point. The Dodgers can
- 6:02Speaker 2: afford for Shohei Otani to no-show offensively, which he has.
- 6:06Speaker 2: so far in the playoffs. They keep moving him down
- 6:07Speaker 2: in the lineup. They can afford that because they've got
- 6:10Speaker 2: so many dudes that can come through for them. That's
- 6:13Speaker 2: very highly paid. The Braves can't afford to have a
- 6:16Speaker 2: complete no-show from Ronald Acuna Jr., and that's what they got.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I don't know why Walt Weiss kept batting him second.
- 6:21Speaker 2: That's the one thing, getting back to it, that's the
- 6:23Speaker 2: one thing I'll second-guess of Walt Weiss. Move his ass
- 6:25Speaker 2: down in the lineup. You have no problem shuffling that
- 6:28Speaker 2: lineup and moving other guys down. He should not have
- 6:31Speaker 2: been batting second throughout the postseason.
- 6:33Speaker 1: So you're just trying to get him on base with
- 6:34Speaker 1: a walk and use his speed or something? I'm just
- 6:37Speaker 1: trying to figure out why it benefits the Braves to
- 6:40Speaker 1: have him second in the lineup.
- 6:41Speaker 2: He's not overly patient. In fact, he was striking out
- 6:43Speaker 2: looking way too many times in this series. He wasted
- 6:47Speaker 2: a challenge early in one of the games that was
- 6:50Speaker 2: clearly a strike that puts the team behind the eight
- 6:52Speaker 2: ball because now they have– there were just too many
- 6:54Speaker 2: decisions that were foolish. Of Ronald Acuna. And again, I
- 7:00Speaker 2: don't think it's a good look when you're not trying
- 7:03Speaker 2: to go get a home run ball in the postseason.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I'll say this too. I love Ozzie Albies. I want
- 7:08Speaker 2: Ozzie Albies to stay. And I know there's a push
- 7:11Speaker 2: to get him out too and go trade and move on.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Can't loaf in October, dude. That should have been a triple.
- 7:19Speaker 2: And I know the guys behind you didn't do much,
- 7:21Speaker 2: but maybe just maybe you score on that pop-up or
- 7:24Speaker 2: you score on a ground ball and suddenly it's a
- 7:26Speaker 2: one-run game in that spot. And credit John Smoltz, Braves legend,
- 7:30Speaker 2: for saying that in the moment. He said, my question
- 7:33Speaker 2: is whether or not Ozzie Albee should be standing on third.
- 7:36Speaker 2: based on where that ball was hit. The left fielder
- 7:38Speaker 2: knocks himself out on the wall. The ball comes all
- 7:41Speaker 2: the way back in the infield. You're jogging around first
- 7:43Speaker 2: and don't kick it into gear until you see that
- 7:46Speaker 2: it's not caught and it's not a home run.
- 7:48Speaker 1: And this is an issue, right? Like early in his career, right? Well,
- 7:52Speaker 1: that's an issue with Acuna. I don't know if it's
- 7:54Speaker 1: been as big of an issue with Albies. And it's
- 7:56Speaker 1: very un-Albies-like, I think. I would expect that from Ronald Acuna.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I wouldn't have expected that from Ozzie Albies. But that's
- 8:03Speaker 1: an unacceptable, unforced error. in a playoff game of that
- 8:07Speaker 1: magnitude in October, you.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Sprint full out.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You have to.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Unless that thing's an upper deck shot and you're certain
- 8:13Speaker 2: of it.
- 8:13Speaker 1: You've got to go.
- 8:14Speaker 2: You've got to go, and you've got to be on
- 8:15Speaker 2: third with nobody out to ensure that somebody's going to
- 8:18Speaker 2: bat you in at some point. Maybe it changes the
- 8:21Speaker 2: Brady strategy. They should have bunted him over the way
- 8:23Speaker 2: that game was going regardless, but maybe they bunt to
- 8:25Speaker 2: get him in from third. So many different things can
- 8:28Speaker 2: happen when you're standing on third base to start the
- 8:30Speaker 2: inning as opposed to second.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Maybe you score and you– Maybe you rally back in
- 8:35Speaker 1: that game, unlike what we saw.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Yeah, look, disappointing. And now the Braves have a big
- 8:41Speaker 2: quandary with Ronald Acuna Jr. and what to do with
- 8:43Speaker 2: them moving forward. And possibly Ozzie Albies, too. We could
- 8:47Speaker 2: see a new look Braves team next year. They could
- 8:49Speaker 2: run it back with the guys. And look, I understand it.
- 8:52Speaker 2: If they want to run it back with the guys
- 8:53Speaker 2: under contract, they just won the division. I could totally
- 8:56Speaker 2: understand making that move also.
- 8:59Speaker 1: And then you have the lockout coming or the strike
- 9:02Speaker 1: or whatever, the player strike.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Yeah, nobody's running it back, I should say. Nobody's going
- 9:06Speaker 2: to run it back because the Dodgers are going to
- 9:07Speaker 2: win the World Series, and everyone's going to blame the
- 9:09Speaker 2: Dodgers for the lockout.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Just be a year older, you know. Jack, coming up,
- 9:13Speaker 1: one big thing on every NFL game. I've got that
- 9:16Speaker 1: for you. We've got our thoughts on the details of
- 9:20Speaker 1: the fact that they're going to plan to kick off
- 9:22Speaker 1: the game between the Bulldogs and the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Wait until you see the weather report. Plus our Hard
- 9:29Speaker 1: Rock Locks. It's Huntley Withrow presented by Hard Rock Bet.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Huntley Withrow presented by Hard Rock Bet. Chad, are you

- 9:39Speaker 3: Nice.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Nice.

- 10:34Speaker 2: I'm enjoying my cup right now, Hutton. We're about to
- 10:36Speaker 2: be on number three at any minute.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Hey, enjoy that cup of coffee and let me know
- 10:42Speaker 1: about the games you like right here in my hand.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I've got one big thing on every NFL game. Thursday
- 10:48Speaker 1: night football coming up. There are Tampa Bay Buccaneers 0-4,
- 10:52Speaker 1: Dallas Cowboys 2-2. Cowboys favored by 8.5 over under 47.5.
- 10:57Speaker 1: I think it was 77. 47.5 there at Hard Rock Bet.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Cowboys lead the league in points scored per drive. The
- 11:05Speaker 1: Bucs lead the league in turnover rate per drive. They
- 11:08Speaker 1: allow 40 points off of giveaways. The Buccaneers have 14
- 11:12Speaker 1: plays that have gained 15 or more yards. That's the
- 11:15Speaker 1: fewest in the league right there. Cowboys are going to
- 11:17Speaker 1: look to take advantage of the Bucs' defense. They bring
- 11:21Speaker 1: the blitz. That's what they're known for, Ty Bowles. The
- 11:23Speaker 1: problem is they blitz 40% of the time. They rank
- 11:26Speaker 1: second to last in pressure rate, and that means the
- 11:29Speaker 1: secondary is toast. So Tampa Bay is without Antoine Winfield
- 11:35Speaker 1: and could be missing Benjamin Worson on the back end.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Sunday night football is Baltimore at Atlanta. Falcons favored by 3.5,
- 11:44Speaker 1: over under 43.5 at Hard Rock Bend. Atlanta's offense... They've
- 11:49Speaker 1: caught absolute fire. Chad's quarterback is there. They're hanging 45
- 11:52Speaker 1: in New Orleans after scoring 35 against Green Bay. Here's
- 11:56Speaker 1: the Falcons. All of a sudden, the favorite against the Ravens,
- 12:00Speaker 1: who are 3-1. The Falcons have generated 11 plays of
- 12:03Speaker 1: 25 or more yards over the last two games. Baltimore's
- 12:06Speaker 1: ground attack is the key here. They get after it.
- 12:10Speaker 1: They have a league-best 5.5 yards per carry. And the Falcons,
- 12:14Speaker 1: they haven't been good on interior runs, so... They rank
- 12:16Speaker 1: 24th in the league. That's the game. Will the Falcons
- 12:19Speaker 1: be able to run up and down the field on
- 12:22Speaker 1: Baltimore with their passing game and their potent offense right now, Chad?
- 12:27Speaker 1: Or is it going to be King Henry in this?
- 12:30Speaker 2: Well, Hutton, we joked and laughed about all the national
- 12:34Speaker 2: TV games for the Falcons this year when that schedule
- 12:37Speaker 2: initially came out. thinking, what does the NFL know that
- 12:39Speaker 2: we don't? Well, apparently they knew that the Falcons are
- 12:42Speaker 2: the next coming of the greatest show on turf because
- 12:44Speaker 2: offensively they have been lining it up since my guy
- 12:47Speaker 2: Michael Penix, with an X, Jr., has reentered the playing field.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Amazing job by the Falcons. I'll be watching. This is
- 12:56Speaker 2: an exciting team, Hutton, and they have turned it around quickly.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Yep, they have. Monday night, it's Buffalo at Los Angeles.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Bills taking on the Rams. Rams favored by three, over
- 13:06Speaker 1: under at 54.5. Buffalo aiming to rebound from that home
- 13:10Speaker 1: loss upset to New England. Matthew Stafford and the Rams,
- 13:14Speaker 1: they've got their season back on even ground, so to speak.
- 13:18Speaker 1: They won that road contest against Philadelphia 24-20. This is
- 13:21Speaker 1: the highest total of the Week 5 board, 54.5. Josh
- 13:26Speaker 1: Allen enters the second right now in the NFL in
- 13:28Speaker 1: total touchdowns. He's got 12. Gregory Rousseau, he has 6.5 sacks.
- 13:33Speaker 1: But Stafford's release time, 2.34 seconds. That neutralizes any pass
- 13:40Speaker 1: rush that Buffalo may have in this game. I'm interested
- 13:43Speaker 1: in that, too. That's coming up Monday night. All right,
- 13:44Speaker 1: Sunday morning, London, Philadelphia against Jacksonville. Home game for the
- 13:49Speaker 1: Jaguars here. They're favored by 7.5, over under 41.5. That's
- 13:54Speaker 1: a low total there. Jacksonville's rolling at 3-1. It's their
- 13:57Speaker 1: best start since 2007. Philadelphia, they've lost two consecutive games,
- 14:02Speaker 1: and they've scored just 27 total points over those two games.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Travis Hunter's having a great start to the season. Jacksonville's
- 14:08Speaker 1: defense right now ranks second in red zone efficiency. That's
- 14:12Speaker 1: making it hard on Jalen Hurts, and it sounds like
- 14:14Speaker 1: he may have Will Shipley next to him in the backfield.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Of course, they've got a new tackle. They're going to
- 14:21Speaker 1: have a new center. They traded that away this week.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Some changes to the Philadelphia offense, Jack.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Another game in London.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I just.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Every week.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Every week.
- 14:31Speaker 2: I feel like it's really lost that special feeling of
- 14:34Speaker 2: having NFL games abroad. When you see this every single week,
- 14:38Speaker 2: it feels like there's an 8.30 a.m.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Kickoff. Yep, I agree. This may come back up in
- 14:42Speaker 1: Hard Rock Prop later in the week. Sunday afternoon, San
- 14:48Speaker 1: Francisco against Seattle. So the winner here is going to
- 14:50Speaker 1: be leading the NFC West. You've got the 49ers. They've
- 14:53Speaker 1: got the NFL best 58th. best point differential plus 58
- 14:59Speaker 1: all the season uh they had not a lot of
- 15:02Speaker 1: sack until last week but Brock Purdy still he's got
- 15:05Speaker 1: the best passer rating to the NFL you've got Leonard
- 15:08Speaker 1: Williams on the other side for Seattle he's got a
- 15:11Speaker 1: sack in four straight games and so that's a front
- 15:13Speaker 1: front seven matchup there that's going to be intriguing uh
- 15:16Speaker 1: you've got an offense averaging 30 and a half points
- 15:18Speaker 1: per game at home uh speaking of that um Chad
- 15:23Speaker 1: Chicago Green Bay oldest rivalry in football Chicago by two
- 15:28Speaker 1: and a half. Chicago enters as the road favorites. Rare there.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Three and one. Following back-to-back really good defensive performances. Dominated Philadelphia.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Dominated the Jets. And here comes the Bears defense. They
- 15:41Speaker 1: surrendered just 19 points combined over the last two weeks.
- 15:45Speaker 1: And they pressured the quarterback on 42% of those dropbacks.
- 15:48Speaker 1: They have been on fire defensively.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Like Richard Dent and All these other guys are over
- 15:56Speaker 2: there now. Otis Wilson. It's the 85 Bears all of
- 16:00Speaker 2: a sudden. What happened from that first week where it
- 16:03Speaker 2: was a track meet against the Panthers and now the
- 16:05Speaker 2: Bears defense just clamping down, bearing down on everybody. I
- 16:09Speaker 2: love it.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Minnesota and New Orleans. Saints are hosting here Sunday at
- 16:14Speaker 1: 1 o'clock Eastern. Vikings favored by one and a half.
- 16:19Speaker 1: You got the Vikings coming into the Caesars Superdome. New
- 16:23Speaker 1: Orleans has dropped three straight. They have allowed 80 points
- 16:26Speaker 1: over their last two games. Minnesota leads the NFL with
- 16:30Speaker 1: 18 sacks through four games. I'm leading Minnesota here. I've
- 16:33Speaker 1: already bet the game. Why not, right? You've bet it
- 16:38Speaker 1: like it's already happened. Yeah, you bet this game like
- 16:40Speaker 1: it's double the spread. Minus one and a half, double
- 16:41Speaker 1: the spread. Detroit and Arizona. Interesting matchup here. 2-2 against 1-3.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Detroit looks to shake off that wild road slip-up that
- 16:53Speaker 1: they had in Carolina. Arizona's sitting at 1-3 because they
- 16:56Speaker 1: can't hold on to fourth quarter leads. It's not like
- 16:58Speaker 1: they suck. They're just not good. There's a difference there.
- 17:01Speaker 1: They can't close out games. Arizona very close to being 2-2, 3-1.
- 17:08Speaker 1: But you are what your record says you are, right?
- 17:10Speaker 1: They're 1-3. They need this. Detroit really needs this on
- 17:14Speaker 1: the road. This is the team that you circle and
- 17:16Speaker 1: you say you're going to beat whenever the schedule comes out.
- 17:18Speaker 1: How about the Las Vegas Raiders? I know they lost
- 17:21Speaker 1: to Kansas City, but 3-1. And now they're on the
- 17:24Speaker 1: road against the New England Patriots. The schedule makers always
- 17:28Speaker 1: tend to get something right, Chad, where you've got New
- 17:31Speaker 1: England who just got a great win last week. Now
- 17:35Speaker 1: they're hosting one of the surprise teams of the NFL,
- 17:39Speaker 1: tried to get back on the winning ways and get
- 17:41Speaker 1: to 4-1. Patriots favored by 3.5, over under 45.5. And
- 17:47Speaker 1: you've got Kirk Cousins. He has 11 touchdown passes through
- 17:51Speaker 1: four games. Brock Bowers, he's got a league-leading 32 receptions
- 17:56Speaker 1: for tight ends. And New England's defense, they're at fourth
- 17:59Speaker 1: in zone coverage passer rating allowed. So they're going to
- 18:02Speaker 1: try to neutralize him that way. Here's Vrabel. This is
- 18:05Speaker 1: one of those games that Vrabel wins the game he
- 18:08Speaker 1: had last week. And then this is the one that
- 18:10Speaker 1: comes down to the wire. You've got some weird field
- 18:12Speaker 1: goal game coming up. I lean Las Vegas in this.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Do you?
- 18:17Speaker 2: I lean New England. I think they turned their season
- 18:20Speaker 2: around last week with that win in Buffalo. That felt
- 18:22Speaker 2: like a game changer for them.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Huge.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Where it was because Drake May was really struggling. He
- 18:28Speaker 2: comes out, plays well. They win that game. Now Drake
- 18:31Speaker 2: May's talking about maybe we didn't land on the moon.
- 18:34Speaker 2: as americans so i don't know how that plays into
- 18:36Speaker 2: this game also but i do like the patriots regardless
- 18:40Speaker 2: of conspiracy theories their quarterback i think the patriots the
- 18:43Speaker 2: right team is favored in this game okay i think
- 18:45Speaker 2: they get it done against the raiders and i love
- 18:47Speaker 2: this raider story but i don't think it's here for long.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Okay if the raiders win are you a believer Still not? Yes. Okay. Yes.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Because they'll be 4-1 at the turn there. I will believe. Okay.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Interesting matchup there between coaches, too. First-time head coach, and again,
- 19:03Speaker 1: you've got Vrabel. Sunday, 1 o'clock, Indianapolis-Pittsburgh. Both teams need this.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Indy visits following their win in London. Jolly old London.
- 19:14Speaker 1: And the Steelers are on 10 days rest. This is
- 19:16Speaker 1: a huge advantage here. I know that the Steelers lost
- 19:19Speaker 1: to Cleveland. But they're coming on 10 days rest. Meanwhile,
- 19:22Speaker 1: Indy just recently flew back from London. That's not beneficial
- 19:27Speaker 1: to the Colts. Keep that in mind. Steelers by 2.5, though.
- 19:31Speaker 1: 44.5 is the total. Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers offense,
- 19:33Speaker 1: they have been handcuffed on third and long. They convert
- 19:36Speaker 1: just 24% of those opportunities. And he's always pissed off
- 19:42Speaker 1: for greatness.
- 19:43Speaker 2: I feel like 10 days rest for Aaron Rodgers is
- 19:46Speaker 2: like putting that guy into a time machine. He could
- 19:48Speaker 2: come out and play like he's 37, not 43 in
- 19:50Speaker 2: this game. That's going to de-age him. This is a
- 19:53Speaker 2: Benjamin Button effect to give a veteran aged quarterback like
- 19:57Speaker 2: A-Rodge 10 days rest. I think he's going to come
- 20:00Speaker 2: out and sling it and look at least six years
- 20:02Speaker 2: younger than he is.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Two and two and two and two there. Denver and
- 20:07Speaker 1: the Chargers. You've got the Broncos, Chargers, 2-2 against 0-4.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Jim Harbaugh's Chargers staring down the unthinkable there. Bo Nix
- 20:14Speaker 1: and the Broncos looking to steady their season after running
- 20:18Speaker 1: into the 49ers' buzzsaw. The Chargers' rushing offense has cratered.
- 20:23Speaker 1: They're averaging just 68 yards per game. That is last
- 20:26Speaker 1: in the NFL. Differ's got to take that one, man.
- 20:32Speaker 1: This won't be the surprise. Giants and Commanders. Commander's favored
- 20:38Speaker 1: by 3.5.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Why?
- 20:39Speaker 1: Because Jake Daniels is scheduled to return after missing the
- 20:42Speaker 1: last two games due to a dislocated left elbow that
- 20:45Speaker 1: happened in Week 2. He's been cleared to practice. He
- 20:48Speaker 1: will wear a protective brace. John Harbaugh, they're sitting at
- 20:52Speaker 1: 3-1 behind Jameis Winston. and that hard-hitting defense. And Washington's
- 20:57Speaker 1: coming off a loss, Chad, at 1-3. They're who lost
- 21:00Speaker 1: to Indianapolis last week in London, and now they host
- 21:04Speaker 1: the Giants, who do believe. Big Blue, I believe, are
- 21:07Speaker 1: believers in their coach and, surprisingly, in their quarterback in Jameis.
- 21:13Speaker 1: And don't forget about that man in the backfield, Chad's man,
- 21:16Speaker 1: Cam Scadamore.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Dan Scadaboo, who I believe would take his helmet off
- 21:21Speaker 2: and run face first into a brick wall if it
- 21:24Speaker 2: meant a fourth down and one pickup. That guy, there
- 21:27Speaker 2: is no denying the passion he has for the game
- 21:30Speaker 2: of football and how he plays the game. He's my guy.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Speaking of my guy on my fantasy team, shout out Reno.
- 21:37Speaker 2: It's my team and Reno going head-to-head, the only two
- 21:39Speaker 2: undefeated teams remaining this week. 4-0 versus 4-0. We got
- 21:44Speaker 2: the head-to-head matchup this week. So there will be one
- 21:47Speaker 2: undefeated team left in our fantasy football league for our
- 21:50Speaker 2: shows league after this.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Week when me and Reno do battle. Reno did a
- 21:54Speaker 1: lot of research for the draft. I was impressed.
- 21:56Speaker 2: He chose.
- 21:57Speaker 1: I know. He's great. He's got a great team. You
- 22:00Speaker 1: do as well. But is JT still around? No, he lost.
- 22:05Speaker 2: JT lost. He'll continue to lose, too.
- 22:08Speaker 1: He'll continue to lose. Maybe he's the Cleveland Browns.
- 22:12Speaker 2: The JT's team was full as gold to start the
- 22:14Speaker 2: season the way they did. He was squeaking by them,
- 22:16Speaker 2: playing bad opponents that week, people getting hurt. He's going
- 22:20Speaker 2: to start losing a lot more. So he's either the
- 22:22Speaker 2: Raiders or the Browns? because both are 3-1. I would
- 22:25Speaker 2: say more Raiders than Browns. The Browns on the road
- 22:28Speaker 2: against the Jets.
- 22:29Speaker 1: If the Browns are for real, you go on the
- 22:31Speaker 1: road and you win this game because the Jets are 1-3.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Jets favored in this by 2.5. Defensive slugfest coming your way.
- 22:39Speaker 1: You've got Todd Munkin's Browns. They had that gritty win
- 22:42Speaker 1: over Pittsburgh. Again, 10 days rest. The Jets' offense, they
- 22:46Speaker 1: stalled in Chicago. They converted no red zone trips into touchdowns.
- 22:51Speaker 1: They're typical. But they were facing that stingy Bears defense.
- 22:55Speaker 1: The Browns defense, they're allowing just 16.5 points per game.
- 22:59Speaker 1: And the Jets have failed to score more than 17
- 23:01Speaker 1: points in three consecutive games. Bengals-Dolphins. Joe Burrow leads the
- 23:07Speaker 1: NFL in passing completion percentage when he's not pressured. He
- 23:12Speaker 1: gets it to a receiver nearly 80% of the time.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Miami's defense generates the lowest pressure rate in the league,
- 23:18Speaker 1: just 18%. So take that for what you will. And finally,
- 23:23Speaker 1: the Houston Texans and the Tennessee Titans. The 0-4 bowl
- 23:29Speaker 1: and the Houston Texans are favored by 7.5. 7.5. AFC
- 23:35Speaker 1: South battle here. The lowest over-under in Week 5. 37.5.
- 23:41Speaker 1: is the over-under. Brian Dable's offense, you've got all those turnovers.
- 23:45Speaker 1: They convert a very low percentage of third downs. Meanwhile, C.J. Stroud,
- 23:49Speaker 1: it's not like he sucked. He threw for over 300
- 23:51Speaker 1: yards last week. He's yet to turn it over this year.
- 23:54Speaker 1: He faces a tight secondary that's only allowed four touchdowns
- 23:57Speaker 1: through four games in the passing game. And Cam Ward
- 24:00Speaker 1: has three touchdown passes in four weeks. Houston Open, by
- 24:04Speaker 1: the way, is a three-and-a-half point favorite. That number has
- 24:07Speaker 1: swelled to seven-and-a-half as I look at it right now. Wow.
- 24:11Speaker 1: And the total, though, has gone down, of course.
- 24:15Speaker 2: It could be rainy on Sunday in Nashville. Let's go
- 24:21Speaker 2: ahead and do it here. Wrong team favorite. Titans are
- 24:23Speaker 2: winning this football game. Titans are winning this football game
- 24:26Speaker 2: for the mere fact that if they lose, I think
- 24:29Speaker 2: 0-17 is truly on the board for this Titans team.
- 24:33Speaker 2: If they lose to 0-4 Texans at home, I don't
- 24:36Speaker 2: think 0-17 is going to happen. I truly believe that's
- 24:38Speaker 2: not going to happen. I think they win. I think
- 24:41Speaker 2: that Cam Ward, who has been playing a bit better,
- 24:44Speaker 2: has a good enough game in this one, and they
- 24:47Speaker 2: find a way to get it done. D'Amico Ryans, he's
- 24:50Speaker 2: taking over defensive play calling.
- 24:52Speaker 1: He is.
- 24:53Speaker 2: I think the Titans. I'm going to go ahead and
- 24:54Speaker 2: say it. Wrong team favorite. Titans money line this week.
- 24:58Speaker 2: That's what I'm playing in a hard rock bet. I
- 25:00Speaker 2: appreciate the bold take there. But?
- 25:04Speaker 1: Will Brian Dable even let his quarterback throw the football?
- 25:07Speaker 3: But?
- 25:08Speaker 2: There's a but coming.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Here's D'Amico Ryans on why he took play calling away
- 25:14Speaker 1: from Matt Burke and the head coach will be calling
- 25:16Speaker 1: plays just like the head coach opposite him in Robert Salah.
- 25:21Speaker 3: It's a tough decision to make, Christy, and it's also,
- 25:24Speaker 3: you know, as a head coach, I have a lot
- 25:26Speaker 3: of tough decisions I have to make, and it's always,
- 25:29Speaker 3: you know, my decisions are not always a popular opinion,
- 25:33Speaker 3: and I'm not in this role to please a lot
- 25:36Speaker 3: of people's opinion, right? I have to do what's best
- 25:38Speaker 3: for this team and make sure I'm leading in that way,
- 25:41Speaker 3: and unfortunately, everybody isn't happy when you make changes, when
- 25:45Speaker 3: you make decisions from my chair. Everybody isn't happy, and
- 25:48Speaker 3: that's okay. because I know everything that I try to
- 25:51Speaker 3: do and strive to do is for the men in
- 25:53Speaker 3: that locker room to give those guys as best a
- 25:56Speaker 3: chance as possible to go out and win our first
- 25:57Speaker 3: football game.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Get ready. I kind of like the fact that he's
- 26:02Speaker 1: taking over right now.
- 26:04Speaker 2: I don't love that for my Titans pick. I don't
- 26:06Speaker 2: listen to that, and I don't immediately get more confident
- 26:08Speaker 2: about the Titans winning that game when I.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Hear that, Hudson. Unleash hell. I think this is the
- 26:13Speaker 1: get-right game. They're viewing it like that. I just... I mean,
- 26:16Speaker 1: I don't... Titans got to prove it, man, before I
- 26:19Speaker 1: take them. I mean, the Texans have at least shown
- 26:22Speaker 1: that they can come back from 0-3. They did it
- 26:24Speaker 1: last year. And they're cooked if they lose to this
- 26:28Speaker 1: Titans team.
- 26:29Speaker 2: But doesn't a 7.5-point line feel crazy regardless? Yes. I
- 26:32Speaker 2: understand the Texans being favored, but over a touchdown is
- 26:37Speaker 2: crazy to me.
- 26:39Speaker 1: I mean, they... Yeah, it is. But it opened at 3.5.
- 26:43Speaker 1: That's what's also crazy is it's gone up to where
- 26:45Speaker 1: it is right now. Chad, that's one big thing on
- 26:47Speaker 1: every NFL game. Well done, Hutton. Coming up, wait until
- 26:53Speaker 1: you see the weather forecast for Bama and Georgia. And
- 27:00Speaker 1: we discuss why they didn't change the kickoff time. We've
- 27:02Speaker 1: got that. Plus, we also have today our Hard Rock
- 27:06Speaker 1: Bet Lock of the Week. It's Hutton Withrow presented by
- 27:09Speaker 1: Hard Rock Bet. Tony Withrow, presented by Hard Rock Bet.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Coming up, we play Meteorologist. Not really. We can't play
- 27:19Speaker 1: game day gear for you. We've got, I mean, Enos Cantor,
- 27:23Speaker 1: he was posing this and dunking in this with Clay yesterday.
- 27:27Speaker 1: The National Balls gear, this is through XXXY Athletics, founded
- 27:30Speaker 1: by Jennifer Say, former national champion gymnast, former Levi's brand president.
- 27:33Speaker 1: She walked away from a corporate job rather than to
- 27:36Speaker 1: say something that she didn't believe, and she started XXXY
- 27:39Speaker 1: Athletics instead. And their mission, in their words, is to
- 27:42Speaker 1: empower female athletes to take a stand for fair competition.
- 27:45Speaker 1: And they call it the tee that launched a movement.
- 27:47Speaker 1: And this is real athletic apparel? Yes, that was a
- 27:49Speaker 1: real dunk by Enos Cantor yesterday, Chad.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Also, was he trying to break Clay's rim as he
- 27:54Speaker 2: hung on it for seemingly two or three minutes? Like,
- 27:57Speaker 2: he just, all of his body weight pulling down on
- 28:00Speaker 2: it was crazy. Official apparel provider for Nashville Balls, Merge

- 28:15Speaker 1: So this tropical storm, hurricane, this is really affecting your plans, Chad.
- 28:20Speaker 1: You've been keeping up with the weather, just like Alabama, Georgia,
- 28:23Speaker 1: and a lot of other states throughout the Southeast. Here's
- 28:28Speaker 1: the latest from the trackers. that we have here, uh,
- 28:33Speaker 1: for the hurricane. Uh, did we, is it, I say us,
- 28:35Speaker 1: did we figure that out?
- 28:37Speaker 2: Sure.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Okay. Sure. Uh, the category one this morning, you can
- 28:40Speaker 1: see where it's headed. Um, yes, Chad, I, I agree
- 28:43Speaker 1: with you now on Sunday here in Nashville. Um, but there's, uh,
- 28:49Speaker 1: you know, who knows which direction this ends up going.
- 28:53Speaker 1: I would hate to be the decision maker that says like, Hey,
- 28:55Speaker 1: we're just going to sit, we're going to sit still
- 28:56Speaker 1: and just play this game as scheduled Tuscaloosa. But, um, Man,
- 29:02Speaker 1: it is going to be a deluge, to say the least.
- 29:07Speaker 1: There's the wind coming up Saturday.
- 29:11Speaker 2: That's going to be the key in this. If it's
- 29:12Speaker 2: really windy, what that's going to look like, that's going
- 29:17Speaker 2: to affect the game big time and how it's played, certainly.
- 29:20Speaker 2: I like weather games. Bring it on to a certain extent.
- 29:24Speaker 2: You want everybody to be safe. I just got another
- 29:26Speaker 2: update just now. It's currently 400 miles southwest, the hurricane is,
- 29:33Speaker 2: of the mouth of the Mississippi River and moving 80
- 29:36Speaker 2: miles per hour, apparently. The wind gusts right now are
- 29:39Speaker 2: 80 miles per hour. I think the only good news
- 29:41Speaker 2: with this, if you want to call it good news, Hutton,
- 29:43Speaker 2: for sporting purposes, it keeps getting earlier and earlier when
- 29:47Speaker 2: it's going to make landfall. So it started early, like
- 29:50Speaker 2: 6 a.m. Saturday morning, then they moved it to 3 a.m.,
- 29:53Speaker 2: then 1 a.m. Now they're saying anywhere between 8 p.m.
- 29:56Speaker 2: and 1 a.m. Friday night. It's going to make landfall
- 30:00Speaker 2: in the Gulf and then work its way north. So
- 30:03Speaker 2: the worst stuff should be out by kickoff on Saturday night,
- 30:07Speaker 2: which is good news.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Yeah, that is good. And you can see, going back
- 30:10Speaker 1: to the forecast for Saturday, only one inch of rain
- 30:13Speaker 1: was forecasted here. So it's not the slip and slide
- 30:19Speaker 1: that I was expecting there. But the wind is the game.
- 30:22Speaker 1: That's what it comes down to with gusts of 38
- 30:24Speaker 1: miles per hour, which direction, all that stuff, who wins
- 30:27Speaker 1: the toss. that could play a huge factor in the
- 30:30Speaker 1: outcome of this game and what is massive for the
- 30:32Speaker 1: SEC overall.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Well, and my plan, you know, and I can give
- 30:37Speaker 2: you guys an update on Monday, but it's looking like
- 30:40Speaker 2: it's okay for us to leave early Sunday morning with
- 30:42Speaker 2: everything out, as long as there's not too much damage,
- 30:44Speaker 2: whatever this storm does. So they're talking about a five
- 30:47Speaker 2: to seven foot storm surge on the coast. So we'll
- 30:53Speaker 2: have to see what all that looks like before we
- 30:55Speaker 2: head down the way. I'll be able to have a
- 30:58Speaker 2: boots-on-the-ground report for you guys, hopefully on Monday's show at
- 31:02Speaker 2: some point with what it looks like in the Gulf.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Some poor bastard, Chad, is going to draw two balls
- 31:09Speaker 1: on this weather map at some point.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 31:12Speaker 2: It's a favor to everyone. I've also noticed on social media,
- 31:17Speaker 2: a favorite of a lot of people on social media
- 31:19Speaker 2: is just anybody you get caught in a still shot
- 31:21Speaker 2: with your mouth open, putting a cylindrical object next to
- 31:25Speaker 2: the mouth. The mail is his favorite pastime.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Oh, they love doing that?
- 31:29Speaker 2: People on social media, I'm seeing a lot of that. Yeah, people,
- 31:32Speaker 2: very clever. People are very clever is what we're saying. Yeah, look,
- 31:38Speaker 2: how does it change the actual game with how it's
- 31:41Speaker 2: going to be played out? I saw that Chauncey Bowens,
- 31:44Speaker 2: fine running back for Georgia, is out. It looks like
- 31:48Speaker 2: for this game, got hurt against Vanderbilt. The team that
- 31:51Speaker 2: runs the ball better, you would think, has the chance
- 31:53Speaker 2: to win. And I know Georgia still has a really
- 31:56Speaker 2: good running backs. One of which is coming back, but
- 31:59Speaker 2: we'll see what it looks like on Saturday night, but
- 32:01Speaker 2: it's going to be interesting to follow.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Chad. I remember, uh, it was, uh, Stanley cup final,
- 32:07Speaker 1: or was it, maybe it was the Western conference finals
- 32:09Speaker 1: for the Preds here, 2017. We had Kenny Albert on
- 32:13Speaker 1: the show. Uh, great dude. Remember he came on for like,
- 32:17Speaker 1: I don't know. It wasn't like an hour or anything,
- 32:18Speaker 1: but like he get, he was calling the, he was
- 32:20Speaker 1: calling the game later that night and gave us plenty
- 32:22Speaker 1: of time. It was really good. Um, He's 58 years old.
- 32:27Speaker 1: He had scheduled a colonoscopy for Tuesday morning. But on
- 32:30Speaker 1: Monday around 6 p.m., word came in from Fox Sports
- 32:34Speaker 1: that Joe Davis was under the weather, so Kenny needed
- 32:37Speaker 1: to fill in. And so he's midway through his colonoscopy prep,
- 32:43Speaker 1: which I have not done, but I dread. And he's
- 32:48Speaker 1: able to start prepping for the baseball game. That's whenever
- 32:52Speaker 1: things went south. fluid, as the article says, pun intended.
- 32:59Speaker 1: I can't imagine that. Kenny Albert, terrific play-by-play guy. Joe
- 33:06Speaker 1: Davis was the one, I think, who was out sick,
- 33:08Speaker 1: and then they called him. He couldn't do it.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Brandon Godden ended up doing the game.
- 33:11Speaker 1: He was great.
- 33:12Speaker 2: He's the Braves' normal play-by-play guy for Braves vision. He
- 33:15Speaker 2: stepped in on the national stage last night and called
- 33:18Speaker 2: game four, and I thought did a terrific job. He
- 33:20Speaker 2: typically does a very good job with play-by-play. So all's
- 33:24Speaker 2: well that ends well, and I only hope that colonoscopy
- 33:26Speaker 2: for Kenny Albert worked out well.
- 33:28Speaker 1: I don't mean this to be flip it with it.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Baseball prep would be pretty easy, right? Yeah.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Well, I mean, again, like Brandon Godden's easy. You call
- 33:40Speaker 2: him in to do it. He did the Braves all year.
- 33:42Speaker 2: He just did a Braves-Dodgers series in August. So he's
- 33:45Speaker 2: no prep necessary.
- 33:46Speaker 1: He's ready.
- 33:47Speaker 2: He's got it in the mind. He's got all the rosters,
- 33:49Speaker 2: everything ready to go. So I think that part of
- 33:52Speaker 2: it's easy.
- 33:52Speaker 1: And I'll say, man, I give him props, too, because
- 33:55Speaker 1: I know of play-by-play guys who just have someone else
- 33:57Speaker 1: do every bit of prep for them. They have two
- 34:00Speaker 1: in some cases. At least he's like, yeah, I had
- 34:02Speaker 1: to stop everything and try to do a little prep,
- 34:04Speaker 1: try to prep baseball and colonoscopy. Yeah, bane of my
- 34:09Speaker 1: existence there.
- 34:10Speaker 2: The hardest part of calling games is preparing to call
- 34:13Speaker 2: the game. So if you have someone to do all
- 34:15Speaker 2: your prep for you, I have zero sympathy.
- 34:17Speaker 1: For anyone who does that.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Anybody on ESPN who has a researcher or the big
- 34:23Speaker 2: networks that does it, I'm like, your job is easy.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Give me a break on how hard your job is.
- 34:28Speaker 2: I feel like you can tell. There's chaos going on
- 34:31Speaker 2: on the sideline, and it can be difficult at times.
- 34:34Speaker 2: But if you've got someone doing your research for you,
- 34:37Speaker 2: and prepping everything for you, 75% to 80% of the
- 34:41Speaker 2: job is done. When you show up ready to call
- 34:44Speaker 2: a game, if you're actually prepared and ready, the game
- 34:46Speaker 2: itself is easy to call. So that's a myth I
- 34:50Speaker 2: want to throw out there. So many of these people, man,
- 34:52Speaker 2: they work so hard prepping. There are people who legitimately
- 34:56Speaker 2: have a research team that gets everything ready for them.
- 34:59Speaker 2: If you have that, I do not want to hear
- 35:02Speaker 2: about how hard your job is. Your job is fun.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Your job is not that hard. You're not out there
- 35:07Speaker 2: digging ditches. Give me a break. The biggest pain in
- 35:10Speaker 2: the you-know-what about calling a game is preparing to call
- 35:14Speaker 2: the game. It's not actually calling the game.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Calling the game itself is fun. I would say the
- 35:21Speaker 1: high school level is probably the most difficult to prepare.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Because there's really nothing. There's no rivalries and there's no
- 35:27Speaker 1: consistency to rosters, to depth charts, anything like stats. And
- 35:31Speaker 1: then meanwhile, as you continue to go, NFL, I mean,
- 35:34Speaker 1: 53-man roster, 48, yeah, 45-man game day roster. And if
- 35:40Speaker 1: you're calling for one team, you just have to memorize
- 35:43Speaker 1: the other team. I mean, I say just have to,
- 35:45Speaker 1: but yeah, it gets easier as you go because everything's
- 35:48Speaker 1: provided to you stats-wise. You just have to put in
- 35:50Speaker 1: the work.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Well, our buddy Don Davenport has talked about this calling
- 35:54Speaker 2: games for ESPN on the sideline versus doing high school
- 35:57Speaker 2: football and basketball games, which she does, and she'll be
- 36:00Speaker 2: the first to tell you, way easier doing the college
- 36:02Speaker 2: games because of so much information available from those schools.
- 36:07Speaker 2: I mean, it is information overload on every type of
- 36:10Speaker 2: media notes, depth charts, everything else you need. And in
- 36:15Speaker 2: high school, it's so much harder to find, which makes
- 36:18Speaker 2: everything so much more difficult. Again, but you know what
- 36:20Speaker 2: it is when you get to the games and do them?
- 36:22Speaker 2: They're fun.
- 36:23Speaker 1: It's fun.
- 36:23Speaker 2: It's fun calling high school football on Friday nights.
- 36:26Speaker 1: The prep can be too. As long as the coaches
- 36:29Speaker 1: are willing to play ball.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Talking to the coaches can be fun. Actually writing out things,
- 36:36Speaker 2: not fun. That's the only part of the job that's
- 36:38Speaker 2: not fun. But if you have someone doing that for you,
- 36:41Speaker 2: then everything is fun.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Chad, apparently Gene Simmons was in Nashville last night. Who knew? Oh, really?
- 36:49Speaker 1: One of our places, Jeff Ruby's.
- 36:51Speaker 2: How many people asked to pose with him with his
- 36:53Speaker 2: tongue out?
- 36:54Speaker 1: I don't know. He's got a ball cap on. I
- 36:56Speaker 1: would recognize him, but I would do a double take
- 36:58Speaker 1: after I walked by. He's got a ball cap on
- 37:01Speaker 1: and stuff.
- 37:02Speaker 2: This is like when I was in Asheville, North Carolina,
- 37:03Speaker 2: and saw Alice Cooper at the restaurant that I was at.
- 37:07Speaker 2: And I'm like, I know that's Alice Cooper. There's no
- 37:10Speaker 2: doubt in my mind that it's Alice Cooper sitting.
- 37:11Speaker 1: In the corner of this restaurant. Great golfer, Alice Cooper.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Used to always compete with Vinny. Coming up. We have
- 37:19Speaker 1: some locks, the Hard Rock Lock, right here on huntingwithroseportandstate.com.
- 37:24Speaker 4: What's up, Clay Travis, owner of the future WNBA franchise,
- 37:28Speaker 4: the Nashville Balls, number one draft pick, Enos Cantor here,
- 37:32Speaker 4: getting a little workout in. We're doing a big interview
- 37:35Speaker 4: for Sporting State and the Clay Travis YouTube page. I
- 37:38Speaker 4: think we were just talking. Several of the things that
- 37:40Speaker 4: were said in the interview are going to go viral.
- 37:42Speaker 4: You guys are going to love it. Enos, I'll let
- 37:45Speaker 4: you christen the basketball court here and show us just
- 37:47Speaker 4: what you're going to do to the women in the WNBA.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Let's go. I'm excited.
- 37:55Speaker 4: I'm telling you, 100 points per game, he's going to average.
- 38:00Speaker 4: These bitches have no idea what they're in for from
- 38:03Speaker 4: the baddest bitch of them all.
- 38:05Speaker 2: Enos, Cantor, Frida.
- 38:07Speaker 1: See you guys. It is time for our Hard Rock
- 38:17Speaker 1: Lock of the Week. Chad, let me tell you, you
- 38:22Speaker 1: have in our Sorry, going for the bundle. In going
- 38:26Speaker 1: for the bundle, you went Texas and OU. That is
- 38:31Speaker 1: exactly where I'm going in my hard rock lock because
- 38:34Speaker 1: it dropped. It dropped by a point. We'll show it. Yes,
- 38:38Speaker 1: seven and a half.
- 38:38Speaker 2: But you don't believe in jinxes, which I love. So
- 38:41Speaker 2: hopefully we're not jinxed by both of us feeling so
- 38:43Speaker 2: strongly about this one.
- 38:45Speaker 1: No, seven and a half, man. Again, it went down yesterday.
- 38:48Speaker 1: You had it at eight and a half, what, 24
- 38:50Speaker 1: hours prior. Look, this is Texas' defense. We saw it
- 38:55Speaker 1: firsthand in Knoxville. You've got turnover woes for Oklahoma. This
- 39:02Speaker 1: is a lockdown defense and an offense for Oklahoma that's
- 39:05Speaker 1: going to struggle to score against anyone right now. But
- 39:09Speaker 1: they're 109th nationally, offensively. It's also a team that's struggled
- 39:14Speaker 1: to score the last couple of seasons against Texas in
- 39:17Speaker 1: this game. I understand it's a rivalry, and they'll come
- 39:19Speaker 1: ready to play. But Texas will as well, and they're
- 39:22Speaker 1: the better team. That's my lock of the week, Texas
- 39:25Speaker 1: minus 7.5.
- 39:26Speaker 2: I'm starting to think the under in this game might
- 39:28Speaker 2: be a separate lock that I'm going to play. between
- 39:31Speaker 2: Texas and OU because you look at those stats between
- 39:33Speaker 2: Mateer and Arch Manning, and they're pretty similar so far
- 39:36Speaker 2: this year of what they've both done statistically.
- 39:39Speaker 1: But I'm with you.
- 39:39Speaker 2: This was my leg of the parlay, so I like it, Hutt.
- 39:43Speaker 2: I like my overall record playing games on Friday night
- 39:47Speaker 2: in college football. I went back and looked with Hard
- 39:49Speaker 2: Rock Bet. I'm 11-1 playing Friday night college football games,
- 39:53Speaker 2: whether it be spreads, money line winners. I had Northwestern
- 39:57Speaker 2: last week as my lock. or one of my bets.
- 40:00Speaker 2: They got it done against Penn State. I'm going back
- 40:03Speaker 2: to the Friday night well. This is a Jonathan Hutton special.
- 40:06Speaker 1: I am logging in right now to play this.
- 40:08Speaker 2: 9.15 Central Time on ESPN in Provo, Utah, a place
- 40:13Speaker 2: that Hutton and I have visited for a game on
- 40:15Speaker 2: a Thursday night game. Beautiful, beautiful setting. In the Wasatch
- 40:19Speaker 2: Valley of the Wasatch Mountains.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Great dinner.
- 40:21Speaker 2: In Provo, Utah. Went to Sundance, Robert Redford's place, for dinner.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Had a nice merlot with our red meat that night.
- 40:29Speaker 2: It was a fantastic outing in Provo.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Dr. Sidney McPhee got it done for us, man. We
- 40:33Speaker 1: threw football, had a great backdrop. It's a beautiful setting.
- 40:38Speaker 1: You have to go. It's a bucket list moment.
- 40:40Speaker 2: The BYU Cougars, Hutton, are going to feast on the
- 40:43Speaker 2: finest steaks ever. and finest red wines after they blow
- 40:47Speaker 2: out Iowa State in this game. Ten and a half,
- 40:50Speaker 2: not enough points. BYU big over Iowa State Friday night.
- 40:54Speaker 2: My great record on Friday night continues as I move
- 40:57Speaker 2: to 12-1 with this lot.
- 40:59Speaker 1: I mean, I put down five right now to win 10.55. Hey,
- 41:04Speaker 1: if you want to hear.
- 41:07Speaker 2: My other Friday pick, since I'm so good on Friday nights,
- 41:10Speaker 2: I think Iowa wins on the money line at Washington.
- 41:13Speaker 2: They're a three-and-a-half-point underdog on Friday night. And I think
- 41:17Speaker 2: fool's gold on Florida State and how well they played
- 41:20Speaker 2: against Virginia.
- 41:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:21Speaker 2: Even though Louisville is struggling, I think Louisville wins by
- 41:25Speaker 2: more than a field goal at home. They're a three-and-a-half-point
- 41:27Speaker 2: favorite over Florida State at home. Those are the other
- 41:30Speaker 2: games I'll be playing on Friday night. But I'm hot
- 41:32Speaker 2: on Fridays, Hutton. Friday's been a big, big day for me.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Let's go. I'm going to parlay all three of those.
- 41:38Speaker 1: $ 5 wager plus $ 7. 38. to win $ 41. 91. And you can
- 41:44Speaker 1: take the $ 5 that I just did if you're a
- 41:46Speaker 1: new customer, and you can bet $ 5 to get up
- 41:49Speaker 1: to $ 500 in no-sweat bets. Bet $ 5, get up to
- 41:52Speaker 1: $ 500 in no-sweat bets. But you have to follow this link,
- 41:56Speaker 1: hardrock.bet.com for new customers. hardrock.bet.com. Download now. I can say
- 42:02Speaker 1: this genuinely. I love the app. It's very easy to use,
- 42:07Speaker 1: and it's easy to find the game that you're looking for. Again,
- 42:10Speaker 1: Chad just brought up a couple of them. And I've
- 42:12Speaker 1: already made the bet. I can scroll easily, find the games,
- 42:16Speaker 1: and I'm locked and loaded. Check us out and roll
- 42:19Speaker 1: with us there. Again, Chad's going Iowa, BYU, and Louisville.
- 42:24Speaker 1: He's taking and laying the points for BYU and Louisville.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Give me Texas. Give me Texas. As Davy Crockett would say.
- 42:33Speaker 1: And go down there and win. Let's go down. Let's
- 42:36Speaker 1: go down and win. Let's win our locks. For the record, though,
- 42:39Speaker 1: Chad's lock. Chad, say it again.
- 42:41Speaker 2: My lock is BYU minus 10.5 over Iowa State. And Hutton,
- 42:45Speaker 2: I just parlayed the same Friday night parlay that I
- 42:48Speaker 2: mentioned to you, that you parlayed, very easily at Hard
- 42:50Speaker 2: Rock Bet. And I say this in all honesty. I'm
- 42:53Speaker 2: a complete convert to Hard Rock Bet. It's the only
- 42:56Speaker 2: app that I use.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Enjoy the next round. So I'm loving it. Straight ahead
- 42:59Speaker 1: right here on Sporting State. He's Withrow. I'm Hutton. Putney Withrow. Mornings,
- 43:03Speaker 1: 8 a.m. Eastern.
