- 0:14SPEAKER_01: Welcome back, big ballers.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: It's your boy MJG coming at you with a new episode of Fantasy Football Fumble with the boys from Sports Minds.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: Joe Bird, man, how you doing today, brother?
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: I'm doing very well, Manny.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: It's been a good week for me.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: I had a nice bounce back week in fantasy.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Everyone came to play.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: My bench even decided to play.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: So I'm feeling pretty good right now.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: How about you?
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: How are you doing?
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: I'm doing great, brother.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: I'm six and one in two leagues, man.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: Following my own advice, you know.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: I uh I'm four and three in the other league.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: If you can't follow your own advice, why are you giving it, bro?
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: I swear those guys from ESPN, they just give out advice, and what are they talking about?
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: They're I you know it's funny.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: I was just thinking about this the other day.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: That guy, Daniel Dopp, did uh uh he started doing player profiles, which he never does before.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: And I was like, you know, they look very, very similar to someone I know.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: I was like, are you guys really knocking off our idea right now?
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: I was like, man, we're doing some right.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: There's no people everybody's like, oh, what's your top, what's your top five quarterbacks of fantasy top three, or you know, so they're all doing it over there, shit, different toilet.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: They're all doing it over there at ESPN.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: They all got their little biggest.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Shout out to my our boys here at at uh fancy footballers, though.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: Those are those guys do it right.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: I respect those guys.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, they do great.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: I'd love if they could have us collaborate one day, that would be pretty awesome because you know, I could I I respect those guys, I think they're very smart.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: Um, obviously, I didn't agree with all their opinions going into the offseason.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: We obviously had different opinions.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: You could see our preseason rankings go back in the videos, you know.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: But um, you know, they they're pretty good guys, they know what they're talking about.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: But I will say our calls have been on.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Ours have been completely on.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: That's absolutely true.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: And the thing is, you know, there's other places like I noticed fantasy pros, they do a lot of collaborations, they've got different guys from uh, you know, that have their own show just come in and and they have discussions together.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: And I do like that.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: Uh I like hearing different opinions.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: I like seeing the guys from uh different shows going back and forth with their opinion.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: And there's good reasons why you can start someone and good reasons why you can bench someone every week, uh, for the most part.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: So it's cool to just weigh those uh discussions back and forth, but you know, that's what we do here too.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: It's why it's we it's why we have two people.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: So I can hear your opinion and I can give you mine.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: We do agree on a lot of things, you know, but there are other times um where we'll just kind of push back and have always something to back it up.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: And I like I like hearing, yeah, I like hearing the different opinions, it just makes it gives you something to think about going into Sunday.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, perspective matters for sure.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, speaking of going into Sunday, obviously some uh updates here.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: We always like to open it up here with our fancy updates.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: Um, so some injuries, key injuries for the for the week here.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: Jerome Ford is out.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: He's listed as doubtful now, but you know how that is.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: He's not gonna play.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, um, he had an injury last week.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, Jalen Hurts, don't worry about him.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: He was people are he's been questionable, just a limited work.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: He's already listed as healthy again.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they took the view away.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, perfect.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: There you go, perfect.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: So that's a good update.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: I did miss that.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: Chris Godwin, I don't think he's playing because uh Bill's Buccaneers play Thursday.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: Chris Godwin has a neck injury, like he has he tweaked something with his neck, and I and I don't think he's gonna play on Thursday.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: He's questionable right now, but uh neck injuries are pretty serious, you know.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I definitely nothing for one game.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely nothing uh you want to rush back to if you got a neck injury, especially if Kyle Trash is throwing you the ball.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: My god, I heard some people uh that I know out there talking about um Neo Buccaneers are not tanking and they're starting Trash.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: I mean, I know Baker's questionable, but I mean from the limited snaps I've seen for Kyle Trash, I just I just don't think he has what it takes.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: Like, is he a really an upgrade from Baker?
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: If he was, why wasn't he playing since week one?
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: That's what I think.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: I don't think that guy is is ready to lead that team.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: And if I were Chris Godwin, I'd wait another week for Baker to come back.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: And and you also, like you said, it's a Thursday night game, be different if he was playing Sunday.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: Rushing back from a neck injury a few days later does not make sense.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: He probably will miss, which means a huge day for Mike Evans.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: So keep that in mind.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: No matter who's that quarterback, it's gonna be a big day for Mike Evans.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: Always, always, and uh against the Bills defense, there's not gonna honestly like uh Rashad White has been struggling a little bit at running back because he's not really getting a big workload.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: So, I mean, if you're gonna start anybody tomorrow, I mean start them carefully.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: I would start Josh Shallon, Stefan Diggs, you know, James Cook, you know, if you have them there, but you know, on the opposite side, on on the Bucks side, like you said, Mike Evans, and that's the only guy I would feel comfortable with starting tomorrow.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: The Bills defense hasn't been as good this year, obviously, as it was last year, but no one you can start with confidence aside from Mike Evans.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, absolutely, absolutely.
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: Um, some other notable injuries here.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: Uh, David Montgomery is probably gonna be out again.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: They say he's gonna be out for multiple weeks, so he was like top 10 RB.
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: He's missed a couple games.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: I think he's still worth the draft capital.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: Um, what about you?
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: Uh, you want to highlight some of the uh any other players that I missed over here, injuries or outs?
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: Uh no, Fields is still out.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: Uh he's listed as doubtful, but again, like we said, he's not gonna play.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, you know, Kyron's on IR, so you got to decide between Daryl Henderson, who's it's possible he's still on waivers for your league.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: Kareem Hunt, it's possible he's still on waivers.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: They've probably both been picked up, but just check it out, see if either of them are available.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: Um and you have a player profile on Darryl Henderson too this week as well, don't you?
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and that's that's probably only gonna be a short-term thing, but you never know, man.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: If he hits the ground running and uh and he continues producing, the the chances are when Kyron's back, they're just gonna go right back to the way things were, they're gonna feed him the volume, and he's gonna be a top five running back.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: But there is a chance they just work it into a committee if um Daryl Henderson continues playing well, and I mean even Royce Freeman played pretty well.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: They they combined for 120 yards or 130 yards or something, so it's possible they they keep that as more of a committee when Kyron comes back, but I doubt it.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: In the short term, pick up Daryl Henderson, he's gonna get the goal line work over Royce Freeman.
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: By the way, I don't think Kyron will be a top five.
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: I think he has been top five, but I think he finishes off like where he should be.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: Because right now you have Derrick Henry in the back of the 10 there for rushing yards.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: You have a couple other guys that are struggling.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: I think uh he stays a top 10 running back this year.
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: Surprise of the year, of course, but um, you know, unless you drafted him, and then you you you took a shot in the dark and you hit a jackpot because that guy is really killing it right now, or was killing it before the injury.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I and I actually don't think he's gonna be top five either.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: Uh but as of right now, he's technically I think he's right around five.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: So he'll continue playing.
- 7:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: He'll continue playing at that top five level.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: I mean, he probably will be around closer to ten.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: You know, the the running back position is so volatile that it's it's tough to predict what it's gonna look like at the end of the season.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: But he I assume when he comes back, he's gonna continue performing at that high level.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah, speaking of running back, that's why you want to speak an injuries, that's why you just want to load up.
- 8:11SPEAKER_01: If you have a solid four to five man core, like you don't have to have four or five starters, but three starters and two flex guys, you're in you're you have a really good rotation for the year.
- 8:22SPEAKER_01: That's um, and that's how you were able to stay alive in one of those leagues.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: Is you traded one of those guys, Jameer Gibbs, you know, obviously pickings with me, and you got James Cook and Jalen Waddle on it.
- 8:33SPEAKER_01: Short-term success, it's worked out for you.
- 8:35SPEAKER_01: So um, you're still making a run.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: I don't know why I kept you alive, because you know, when you come back and the team's healthy, they're gonna be rolling in all cylinders, you know, because don't you have Kyron, it's a chain, uh Justin Jefferson in there.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: That's why people were trying to bury you, man.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: That's why people trying to bury you in that league, they don't want you coming back.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, man, and and I also had uh I have um James Connor in that league, too.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: So I got four guys on IR right now, and I I held on to all of them.
- 9:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and it might work out for you, man.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: That's a gamble, but um, you know, we'll see.
- 9:14SPEAKER_01: It's probably gonna be you and me slugging it out, and I'm the repeat champion for that league, so I'm coming back for that crown.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: And when I made that trade, I did not expect Jameer Gibbs to go off for like 25 or 30 points.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: But that's fantasy football.
- 9:30SPEAKER_01: I was hoping it happened, but that's that's been our prediction since they won it.
- 9:34SPEAKER_01: It finally kicked in, what week seven, took seven weeks for him to finally kick in.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: So I mean that's if one thing if that was wrong in the offseason about, I thought Jameer Gibbs would get together a lot sooner than this.
- 9:45SPEAKER_01: But if he gets it now and he ends up being RB5 for the rest of the year, I'll consider that a successful call as long as you held on to him.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: Got ten weeks left, you know, almost.
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: What about some uh waiver wire ads you recommend, Joe?
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: Um, it's it's actually kind of thin out there right now.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: So, like I said, if if there's any possibility you got Daryl Henderson out there, grab him.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: Royce Freeman's not bad.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: If you need if you're in a double flex and you need someone to fill that spot, see if he's available.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: You can grab him.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: You might get eight or ten points.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: Running back's tough to come by right now, but we are past the bye week, so you should at least have something more manageable than Royce Freeman in there, but he's a long shot that you could grab.
- 10:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and even Cam Akers is starting to.
- 10:37SPEAKER_01: I know most guys, he wasn't available in thing like 50% of the league.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: So half the people have him, half the people don't.
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: But he's a nice little shot in the dark.
- 10:45SPEAKER_01: He got an extended workload last week with Minnesota when they were running a uh run trying to run down the sc run out the clock on the Niners, and they successfully did upset the Niners.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: That was actually a high-scoring game.
- 10:56SPEAKER_01: We picked it as one of our high-scoring games last week, so that worked out really well.
- 11:00SPEAKER_01: But they're gonna continue that.
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: I mean, uh Minnesota's gonna ride that you know, momentum and you know, and and see if it works.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: But I think that's obviously not really consistent to expect out of Minnesota.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: Um, if you have Addison, there's a nice little time to sell high on him.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: This is his best, probably gonna be his best game of the season.
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: Because once Justin Jefferson's back, he's not gonna be getting that kind of workload.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: That was that was awesome watching him play, but yeah, I doubt we're gonna see much of that again.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: God damn, it's getting hot in here.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: It's time for our hot matchups of the week.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: Who's your first hot matchup, Manny?
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: Uh, my first hot matchup, I'm gonna start off with um Bears versus Chargers.
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: Obviously, there's not, I mean, there's a couple teams on bye weeks this week, but there's a lot of good teams playing a lot of bad teams this week.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: So you're gonna see a lot of lopsided scores.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: So if uh you're looking to play like any type of daily fantasy, I'd say this would be a nice time to kind of jump in there and start picking some lopsided matches because if you look at them, there's definitely a lot of them out there.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: Um but Bears versus Chargers, you're talking about two teams that can't play defense, so they're gonna go against each other and just light it up.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: Chargers are coming off two straight losses, so they need to you know get their stuff together.
- 12:21SPEAKER_01: They lost to the Chiefs last week and then the Cowboys the week before that.
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: So they need to get a win to start, you know, making a run for that wild card.
- 12:29SPEAKER_01: So they're gonna try to light up the scoreboard.
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: The Bears obviously a badge and isn't really a high-scoring guy, but I mean, anytime you have DJ Moore, you know, that does change your dynamic of your offense.
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: So obviously, besides DJ Moore, Dante Foreman had a great breakout week last week.
- 12:45SPEAKER_01: I uh I played him in some lineups.
- 12:47SPEAKER_01: He he did great.
- 12:48SPEAKER_01: He was actually RB1 last week, and um, you know, so I think that's how it's gonna be.
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be uh, you know, a lot of Dante Foreman and DJ Moore, and a lot of the Chargers just lighting it up to Joshua Palmer and uh Keenan Allen.
- 13:01SPEAKER_01: So that could definitely be a good matchup there.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I think Eckler's gonna come back with another bounce back week because you know he's one of those dudes that you you don't really see him have a bad week twice in a row.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: So I I expect him to play very well.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: You got a lot of weapons with the Chargers, you got a really weak.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: I just got a trade.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: Did you hear my phone just go off the ESPN chimes?
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: I just probably got a trade offer.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: But anyway, you do you don't have uh as many weapons with the Bears, but like you said, you got two piss poor defenses, and uh that could be just uh a shootout back and forth, or I mean the Chargers might control the pace of that game and just do whatever they want, but yeah, two weak defenses and and teams with offensive weapons on both sides.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: So that could be really high scoring, actually.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: And my first hot matchup of the week is the Bengals versus the Niners.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: Kind of the same thing.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: You got a bunch of weapons on either side.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: You and I have been talking for a while now about Cincinnati's gonna have, you know, they're gonna get into sync the more the season goes on and start looking like themselves, like the guys that we saw last year.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: And you got Mixon, you got Chase, you got T.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: Higgins, Burrow, and then all the other side ball.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: You got CMC, Ayuk, Kittle, Purdy may be out.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: We don't know yet.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: Um Debo may be out.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: So even if Purdy and Debo are both out this week, you still have McCaffrey, Kittle, and Ayuk.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: But uh Purdy's in percussion uh concussion protocol.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: I don't even know what happened because I watched that whole game last week and I thought I thought he played the whole game, I'm almost certain.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: Um but then uh Debo, you know, he's got a couple things going on right now.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: So he might not play, but either way, I feel like with that many good players, and the Niners defense hasn't been that great lately.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: It's not the defense everyone expected during preseason that everyone was talking about it's gonna be, you know, Cowboys, Niners.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: You know, Cowboys are the number one defense, I think, right now, and the Niners are maybe around 10.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: Um, and Cincinnati's got kind of an average defense, so either way, I don't see their defense as being a threat to these high-powered offenses.
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I can definitely see that as uh a good high scoring week, not because uh I think Niners obviously will you know eventually they'll get their crap together, right?
- 15:42SPEAKER_01: They have been playing um lax defense for sure, uh, especially against the Vikings last week.
- 15:47SPEAKER_01: Like, how can you not stop the Vikings?
- 15:49SPEAKER_01: Like, that's embarrassing.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: Um, but uh but uh Bengals, on the other hand, have been struggling the whole season.
- 15:55SPEAKER_01: I mean, Joe Burrow had that calf uh injury and slowed him down throughout the season.
- 16:00SPEAKER_01: He hasn't been performing how he should.
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: He had like one or two good games, so he's been very streaky.
- 16:05SPEAKER_01: And uh they just came off their bye week, so uh maybe they had some time to get their yeah, they're well rested.
- 16:11SPEAKER_01: So you're gonna see them kind of get it together.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: I'm sure they put the extra work in.
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: And I actually was gonna make some offers for T.
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: Higgins in other leagues because I was like, I could buy low on him right now while he has no value because I think he's only averaging like seven points a game right now.
- 16:25SPEAKER_01: So you could definitely get uh buy low on him, but obviously you are gonna see probably some Jamar Chase love because Niners can't cover the big time receivers.
- 16:35SPEAKER_01: Um, maybe a little bit Joe Mixon, but definitely a heavy dose of CMC.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: Like CMC is gonna be the guy, he's gonna get two or three touchdowns.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: So if you got him in any of your leagues, congratulations.
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: You probably won that league.
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: So um, but yeah, I could definitely see that being a high scoring game for sure.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: You know, I uh I actually threw out an offer for T Higgins two weeks ago.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: Two weeks ago, Roshan Johnson for T Higgins, they turned it down, and I understand, but I thought like that was kind of even.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: Um, but I think a lot of people are are still hopeful about T Higgins.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: You know, it is it is only week seven, you know, going into week eight.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: And um, I think a lot of people have that same mindset where they're like, hey, the Bengals are gonna get it together, I'm not worried about it just yet.
- 17:21SPEAKER_01: So I also think some of that is just people not willing to sell high on a guy they drafted in the fourth or fifth round.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: Of course, not like that high, like you know, and those are guys I wasn't really big on.
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: Like I'm a big time Eagles fan, obviously.
- 17:36SPEAKER_01: Like, I love Devontae Smith, but Devontae Smith going in the fourth to me didn't make sense.
- 17:41SPEAKER_01: Neither did T.
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: Higgins, neither did DK Metcalf, like all those guys bunched up.
- 17:45SPEAKER_01: Chris Olave, like all these guys were bunched up in that that particular round, and then people were like all big on DeAndre Hopkins, and then even Calvin Ridley, right?
- 17:55SPEAKER_01: He looked great in the offseason.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: These were all the guys that were bunched up around the fourth round, like fourth round wide receivers, and I was like, screw all those guys, and I skipped straight down to DJ Moore, and that was the guy I was going for in the fourth round.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: When you were looking at like fifth, sixth round, you got people, you know, you had people like um Mike Evans coming off in like the fifth or sixth round, then Christian Kirk.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then even like the seventh round, you had the Michael Pittman and pick Pittman, yeah.
- 18:23SPEAKER_01: You know, no Pickens was earlier, but Pittman definitely, yeah.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: And that bunch right there, they were right next to each other.
- 18:29SPEAKER_01: Evans, Pittman, yeah, uh, all those guys are right there in the sixth and seventh round, Kirk, Christian Kirk, and these are some of the best, most consistent ones.
- 18:37SPEAKER_01: And I was like, man, that's the sweet spot of pickings or like picking players right there.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 18:43SPEAKER_01: You know, you kind of learn that every year.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: It's kind of like I noticed that if um I we're not big weekly fantasy guys by only by any means, but I started seeing patterns this past week when it came to like pricing for for DraftKings, right?
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: And I started seeing certain players, what they do is they put similar players and and pri in similar price points, right?
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: But then they have certain players that are like supposed to get a breakout game that are in that similar price pool.
- 19:11SPEAKER_01: Like, obviously, you can't predict everybody's gonna be successful, right?
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: Because that's football can be unpredictable.
- 19:17SPEAKER_01: But like, for example, last week they had like Joshua Palmer, Josh Downs, and they had um all uh there was another guy with Shea Rice, they were all priced around the same.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: They were like 4700, 4800 on DraftKings, and I was like, all these guys, any one of these guys could hit, and I was like, that's a nice little cluster of players there.
- 19:35SPEAKER_01: And it turns out that all those were some of the highest scoring wide receivers last week.
- 19:40SPEAKER_01: So I've I've noticed that that's how the the leagues were, you know, you got to get that uh bounce back, you got to find uh that nice little pool of players, and that's how you really build your team up for success.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: And those price points are a good reference when you're trying to decide who to start.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: Sometimes you can actually look at that and you'll see, hey, they've got you know, they've got Deontay Foreman costing way more than I expected.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: Maybe they are a little more aware of the defense he's up against, you know, just little things like that.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: If you see that Dante Foreman costs a thousand more than another guy you were considering, it it gets in your head a little bit where you start thinking about it.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: Well, maybe this is a better matchup, maybe I should play him.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: So I like to just look at it for that reason, too.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: You know, just to see the price points and what the experts actually think, you know, these guys that not not like the fantasy football experts, but the guys that are analytics, yeah, exactly.
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and that's why last week I was looking at it.
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: You had guys like Stefan Diggs, Amon Ross, A.
- 20:43SPEAKER_01: Brown, they're all over 8,000.
- 20:45SPEAKER_01: And I was like, and Travis Kelsey was like the at 8,000 as well, and these guys were like 8,500, 9,000, and like Amon Ra was 8,000 against a tough defense.
- 20:55SPEAKER_01: And I was like, you know what?
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: I like Kelsey's chance, you know, and play him as you know the 8,000, the the big money buy.
- 21:03SPEAKER_01: So you kind of start identifying those those n those stacks you should have.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: But um, anyways, we're not we're not daily fantasy guys, we're not weekly fantasy guys, we're season-long fantasy guys.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: So but just some observations.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: Um now, uh, which uh as far as my next hot matchup of the week, um, I went with the game I thought would be great.
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: You talked about our player about them earlier, but it's gonna be the um Rams versus the Cowboys.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: I think that's gonna be a high-scoring game.
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: Two solid defenses, um, but obviously they they're both trying to make a playoff run.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: Rams are trying to go for the wild card, um, or the div you know, divisions up for grabs now because the Niners just lost, dropped their second straight one.
- 21:46SPEAKER_01: So, I mean, they could sneak up in there, get a win, and they're only one game behind the Niners, and that's just a division matchup, you know.
- 21:53SPEAKER_01: So, and they play the Niners twice this year.
- 21:55SPEAKER_01: So, definitely could be a possibility.
- 21:58SPEAKER_01: The way it's looking right now is a problem.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but is it likely?
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: No.
- 22:03SPEAKER_01: So um, but regardless, I think this game's gonna be a nice one.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: Obviously, you have Daryl Henderson.
- 22:08SPEAKER_01: I think he'll get points, but I think it's gonna be a heavy dose of Puka Nakua and you know Cooper Cup against the Cowboys because uh Cowboys are gonna have to pass rush, right?
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: And they're gonna stop their good, their front seven's good against the run.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: So the only way that the Rams are gonna move the ball is through the air.
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: And of course, they'll be able to punch it in with Henderson at the end, but you but you're not gonna expect a uh a breakout game for Henderson.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: What you're expecting is for those other two guys, so I expect that on that side, and then on the Cowboys side, they're just gonna figure out how to move the ball because I think you can run it on the Rams, so maybe it's a big Tony Pollard day, you know.
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: He hasn't been really living up to the hype yet.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: I would love to see that, and I'm sure CeeDee Lamb will have a good day.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: And the thing is, I imagine I could be wrong about this, but I imagine that the Cowboys are gonna kind of control the pace of the game, they're probably gonna be winning and then you know, giving plenty of volume to Pollard, but still having enough pass catchers to move the ball in the air.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: And then I think it's possible that the Rams are playing from behind.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: You know, they might have a real hard time running the ball, so they might lean on Puka and Cooper, and why not?
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: You know, you know, if they're gonna be playing from behind, you know they're gonna be throwing the ball, but they're gonna be throwing the ball regardless, and they've got two of the best receivers in the league.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: And what's your next uh hat match, hot matchup of the week?
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: Well, my second one is the Steelers versus the Jags.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: You know, the Steelers have been looking a lot better than anyone expected, you know, myself included.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: You know, I might say differently at the beginning of the season, but I wasn't expecting I know that they're always gonna stress me out, but they've been looking better lately.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: They played well against the Rams last week.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: And the defense is shaky, but uh Pickett's looked a little bit better.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: Pickens has looked really good.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: Uh the last three weeks he's looked solid, and um he's he's had a few games this year where you know real high ceiling, and Deontay Johnson's back.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: And you know, with Deontay Johnson, even Najee and Jalen Warren looked all right last week.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: So I feel like they have enough pieces to keep the ball moving.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: They have been playing better.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: Fryermouth's still out, but um on the other side of the ball, you've got Jacksonville with Trevor Lawrence, who's been playing better.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: ATN looks like a beast, and um Christian Kirk, as consistent as they come, and you still got Ridley in the mix and Evan Ingram in the mix.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: I feel like you've got enough guys on both sides to keep the ball moving, keep the game close, and a close game typically will lead to higher points.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: I don't see this being a defensive battle, even though the the Steelers defense has you know a lot of a lot of rock solid players like Watt made an incredible play last week.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, it's quite possible that the Steelers defense really steps it up, but I still think with with a good Jags defense and a good Steelers defense that their offensive pieces are enough to keep the ball moving back and forth.
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I agree.
- 25:21SPEAKER_01: That could definitely be a good game as far as high scoring.
- 25:25SPEAKER_01: Um, I think Jags' offense has been on fire.
- 25:28SPEAKER_01: And if you look at Travis Etienne, he's had two touchdowns in each of the last three games.
- 25:32SPEAKER_01: That's all of his touchdowns for the year.
- 25:34SPEAKER_01: He has six of them.
- 25:35SPEAKER_01: He's been on a tear.
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: If you have them, obviously you're loving it.
- 25:38SPEAKER_01: Um, Trevor Lawrence finally had a solid game last week.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: He was actually carried by that Christian Kirk 50-yard touchdown to pretty much ice the game.
- 25:46SPEAKER_01: That was awesome.
- 25:47SPEAKER_01: Um, I I played him and it worked out, but um, yeah, it was it was good to see that.
- 25:52SPEAKER_01: Obviously, they have all the wide receivers.
- 25:54SPEAKER_01: Kirk, you know, maybe Ridley has a big game.
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: Evan Ingram, who knows who's gonna catch it.
- 26:00SPEAKER_01: But you know, Kirk is always gonna get his.
- 26:01SPEAKER_01: Kirk and Etienne 100% will get theirs.
- 26:04SPEAKER_01: And on the other side, Steelers, George Pickens.
- 26:07SPEAKER_01: I mean, starting to put together some consistent games.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: That's back-to-back good weeks, 20 plus or almost 20 point weeks.
- 26:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so uh they're really learning how to get him the ball, get him involved.
- 26:17SPEAKER_01: That's your playmaker, get him the ball.
- 26:19SPEAKER_01: Deontay Johnson helps open it up underneath.
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: Um, and then Pickens goes, you know, deeper, you know, he's winning the red zone possessions.
- 26:27SPEAKER_01: So they're gonna keep feeding him.
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: Najee finally had a good game, first one all season, Najee Harris.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: Finally found the end zone, yeah.
- 26:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so I definitely see that being um, you know, them being able to move the ball just slightly on the ground, but it's they're gonna move the ball for either team that's gonna be passing.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: So that that could definitely be a high scoring game.
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: It's getting cold in here, Joe.
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: Do you feel that?
- 26:56SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 26:57SPEAKER_00: Big ball's cold call of the week.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's right.
- 27:01SPEAKER_01: All right, and uh, what's your first curve call, Joe?
- 27:04SPEAKER_01: Who do you think is gonna be an absolute shit show this week?
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: I think this is very, very, very obvious.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: The Falcons versus the Titans.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: We don't even really need to explain why.
- 27:15SPEAKER_00: But I mean, there's virtually zero offense on either side of the ball aside from Derrick Henry and Bijan Johnson.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: Or I'm sorry, uh B.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: John Robinson.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: Robinson.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: So Bijan.
- 27:31SPEAKER_00: Um, so beside Derrick Henry and Bijan, you don't have anyone that you're gonna start.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: You can't play DeAndre Hopkins.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: He's had one, maybe two good games.
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: Um I'm not even sure who's playing at quarterback.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: And then on uh the Falcons, you've got Desmond Ritter, who's you know not he has not been playing well all season.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, he's he's had flashes of uh you know good games here and there, but overall, there's nobody that you want to play on either side of the ball aside from the running backs, and um that's a recipe for a slow game by itself.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: If you're just gonna lean on the run, if both teams are just gonna rely on the run game for the duration of the game, then you know that's already low scoring.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: And then to top it off, the Titans' run defense is pretty solid, and the Falcons' defenses look good too.
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: So you've got these guys that are just going to be in a grudge match, a brutal long battle on the ground, limited in the air.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: I would love to see Drake London have another big game, but I doubt it's gonna happen.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: Maybe because the Titans are gonna stuff the run, they'll try that, but I would not count on it, and I expect this to be a very low-scoring game.
- 28:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you're and you're right.
- 28:52SPEAKER_01: Both uh Titans and the Falcons have been top five rush defenses this year.
- 28:57SPEAKER_01: Um, so they're shutting everything down.
- 28:59SPEAKER_01: That's the only formal offense those teams really have, or the main formal offense, so they are gonna really cancel each other out, play good defense, you know.
- 29:08SPEAKER_01: Uh, you know, three and D.
- 29:10SPEAKER_01: So just basically running defense.
- 29:13SPEAKER_01: So it is gonna be a boring game.
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: But um, I I mean if you have Henry, I'll actually gonna start him.
- 29:17SPEAKER_01: Bijan, check to see if he's healthy.
- 29:20SPEAKER_01: Um, because I don't know what his illness or injury was last week, so that probably was just uh, you know, sickness.
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, definitely uh gonna be a slow game and not one I would be tuning the channel for anytime soon.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: What about you, MJG?
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: What's your cold call?
- 29:41SPEAKER_01: Well, I thought about it long and hard, and then you know, I I came to realization that it's gonna be the battle of New York.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: That's gonna be the cold call of the week.
- 29:52SPEAKER_01: Stay away.
- 29:52SPEAKER_01: Like Jets and Giants, two teams that are struggling.
- 29:56SPEAKER_01: Like, yes, the Jets got their win.
- 29:57SPEAKER_01: They came off their win their bye-week, they beat the Eagles.
- 30:00SPEAKER_01: I understand.
- 30:01SPEAKER_01: Yes, good win for them.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: They played good against other defenses, but you know, Zach Wilson's not gonna be able to score points for them consistently.
- 30:09SPEAKER_01: Like, we all have seen that.
- 30:10SPEAKER_01: Like, he he came and put a couple points in there.
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: Most of the points actually came from Brees Hall, if we're being honest.
- 30:16SPEAKER_01: The E defense turns it over, Brees Hall finishes it.
- 30:19SPEAKER_01: So um, if they can stop the the run game, obviously, which the Giants have been pretty tough against a run.
- 30:25SPEAKER_01: They had a pretty uh they didn't shut down CMC, but I've been watching them and I realized that they're actually a pretty tough, even though their numbers don't suggest that they're a tough running back matchup because they like to hit the running backs hard.
- 30:37SPEAKER_01: So you see running backs get banged up against the Giants, but that's what I've noticed, anyways.
- 30:41SPEAKER_01: So I'm not I'm not wanting to play any of them.
- 30:44SPEAKER_01: Obviously, Breeshaw, if you have them, you start them, but that's pretty much it on the Jets side.
- 30:48SPEAKER_01: And even uh, you know, Garrett Wilson just for you know flex points, 15 points.
- 30:54SPEAKER_01: I think he's possible.
- 30:55SPEAKER_01: But on the Giants, uh, all they have is Waller, and Jets are tough as hell on defense.
- 31:01SPEAKER_01: So guess what?
- 31:02SPEAKER_01: They're gonna shut down Waller, and then Giants are just gonna struggle again.
- 31:05SPEAKER_01: Um, and then uh Saquon might uh have a big game because I think that's their best form of offense uh on on the ground, but it's you know at the end of the day, it's just not gonna be fun to watch.
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and it's a similar situation.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: Uh, as I was just describing, you've got a running back on either side that's their best form of offense, and that's typically uh a recipe for a slow game, low-scoring game.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: I do think Saquon's gonna have a big week.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, I mean, not really confident about anyone else.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: I got Darren Waller, he's gonna be hit or miss, uh, as he has been all year.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: And um I I'm not high on Garrett Wilson at all.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: You know, it's just you know you can get you know eight or ten points out of him, but the ceiling is gone.
- 31:58SPEAKER_00: And uh Brees Hall, uh, I think he should have a big game too.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: But yeah, outside of Saquon and Brees Hall, again, just the running backs, other than that, stay far away from that game, in my opinion.
- 32:17SPEAKER_00: It's time for the shit call of the week.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: And uh I got one that um was very, very difficult for me to watch because I was so high on this game.
- 32:29SPEAKER_00: I had a lot invested in this game, and that is the Lions and the Ravens.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: I said that was gonna be a shootout back and forth, really close game, and it was just complete destruction.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: The Ravens just ran a train on the Lions all day, it wasn't even close, you know.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: Amon Raw, he had a good game, uh, but a lot of that was in garbage time, and Lamar had an amazing game.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: I said that that he wasn't gonna be able to run on the Detroit Lions, and he ran all over them, and the Lions couldn't get anything going on offense, so I think the final score was like 28 to 6.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: I can't remember.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: I just know it was really bad, and I expected that to be a close, high scoring endeavor.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: So that was my shit called the week.
- 33:18SPEAKER_01: Baltimore scored like 35 38 points.
- 33:21SPEAKER_00: Oh, it might have been 38-6.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it might have been 38-6.
- 33:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they yeah, they beat the breaks off of them.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: But uh, but nobody thought that.
- 33:30SPEAKER_01: I mean, I I wouldn't even call that a shit call just because uh nobody thought the Lions were just gonna have a bad offensive week.
- 33:36SPEAKER_01: Jameer Kibb had his breakout day, but everybody else was bad.
- 33:39SPEAKER_01: Jared Goff was bad, the Lions O-line was bad.
- 33:41SPEAKER_01: They just got sacked, I think, like five times.
- 33:44SPEAKER_01: So um number one uh sacking team in the league right now, the Ravens are.
- 33:48SPEAKER_01: So they just went after Jared Goff, just destroyed that Lions uh front.
- 33:52SPEAKER_01: And they needed a good kick in the mouth to get them back on track.
- 33:56SPEAKER_01: So expect them to bounce back this week for sure.
- 33:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and that and that's the thing is uh Jameer Gibbs did look awesome, and um I should have mentioned that he had a great game too.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: Amon Ra and Jameer Gibbs had a good game.
- 34:08SPEAKER_00: Uh Jameer Gibbs throughout the entire game, Amon Ra kind of caught up at the end.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: What about you, man?
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: What's your shit call?
- 34:18SPEAKER_01: I think about it.
- 34:19SPEAKER_01: So I was like, you know, I haven't really been making a lot of shit calls, you know.
- 34:23SPEAKER_01: Like I just now I'm just like going back throughout the season.
- 34:27SPEAKER_01: Like, um, I know I had a big balls call a couple weeks ago.
- 34:30SPEAKER_01: Aaron Jones went healthy, you know, two weeks ago.
- 34:32SPEAKER_01: He'll be the you know lead back.
- 34:34SPEAKER_01: I know I didn't talk about it because big balls calls are just that you know they're big shots in the dark.
- 34:40SPEAKER_01: But man, like I'd say my shit call of the week is not trading Aaron Jones after week one.
- 34:47SPEAKER_01: That's my my shit call because I have lost six weeks of production from this guy.
- 34:51SPEAKER_01: Have I needed it?
- 34:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm four and three.
- 34:53SPEAKER_01: Of course I could use the production, you know, and may maybe the games weren't that close, but maybe I could have you know used the trade bait when he was averaging 24 point, you know, 22 points a game in the after week one.
- 35:05SPEAKER_01: So I would say that was my shit call, man, is thinking Aaron Jones was gonna be healthier than he has been, right?
- 35:12SPEAKER_01: And this has probably been one of his worst injury years we've seen for him and that hamstring.
- 35:17SPEAKER_01: So absolutely there's always gonna be red flags for me moving forward after this season with Aaron Jones now.
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: And and you know, I used to give those I used to acknowledge his injuries, and just because he was so dominant, I didn't really focus too much on them.
- 35:35SPEAKER_00: But you're right, after six weeks, that's gonna be on my mind now because I thought Aaron Jones was coming back two weeks ago, and I thought he was gonna be limited but still productive.
- 35:44SPEAKER_00: And last week I thought he was just gonna explode.
- 35:46SPEAKER_00: Um, and I still think he's gonna finish strong, but totally agree with you.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: That injury is gonna be at the top of my mind going into next year's draft.
- 36:09SPEAKER_01: All right, big balls.
- 36:10SPEAKER_01: Time for your favorite segments, time for this week's big balls call of the week.
- 36:16SPEAKER_01: Joe, what's your big balls call?
- 36:19SPEAKER_00: Well, as you mentioned just a few minutes ago, the Lions are gonna have a bounce back week, and I think Jared Goff is gonna throw for over 300 yards and two touchdowns.
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: He's gonna bounce back, he's been good all year.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: He's had you know a couple bumps along the way, but generally speaking, he's looked great, and I expect him to be back in peak form on Sunday and throw for over 300 yards and two touchdowns at the benefit of Amon Ra and Jameer Gibbs and whoever else wants to get in the mix.
- 36:57SPEAKER_01: You know, that's funny that just for the viewers out there, just to let you guys know, when we do our big balls, uh me and Joe keep them secret from each other because we want to bring them up.
- 37:07SPEAKER_01: And I was worried for a second that he actually took my big balls call.
- 37:11SPEAKER_01: Because that's pretty funny because he's talking about yes, I was worried for a second.
- 37:15SPEAKER_01: You did touch up on it a little bit, but uh uh that brings me to my big balls call.
- 37:19SPEAKER_01: So I called last week Jameer Gibbs having his breakout game, 100 yards and a touchdown, being highly efficient, which he did, and he was RB1 on draft or RB2 on DraftKings last week.
- 37:30SPEAKER_01: Um, my big balls call this week is he's gonna follow that performance up, and he's gonna have 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns this week because that man, that touchdown he had, he he was looking like Devin a chain and like right like the Miami Dolphins, how they just explode through the gaps, oh yeah, and then they just can't catch him because his rush is like a 20-yard rush, and he just like as soon as he gains speed, he was gone.
- 37:57SPEAKER_01: So I think I expect the Lions to let him get a run and start more because if you watch uh how the Dolphins run that cheat motion where they uh it's kind of like the the arena football league where they have to get a run and start, and as soon as they get to the line of scrimmage, they snap it.
- 38:12SPEAKER_01: So um I I can expect to see that a little bit more.
- 38:15SPEAKER_01: Them running some cheat motions with Amon Ra, like you were saying, but also again, Jameer Gibbs more open space because if that guy gets open, he's gonna explode.
- 38:25SPEAKER_01: So you can expect me to have some DraftKings lineup this week with Jameer Gibbs for sure.
- 38:31SPEAKER_00: And and think about if they're up and they lean on the run even more, that could even benefit him.
- 38:38SPEAKER_00: I mean, you know, last week was a strange week to to try to compare anything to.
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: But if you think about just the the pace of the game, if they're gonna be relying on the run and trying to slow things down, then he's gonna get even more volume.
- 38:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he could explode, have two touchdowns.
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: That's definite possibility.
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: And I really hope you're right since I got a I got him in like three leagues.
- 39:01SPEAKER_00: And we'll be thanks for bringing them over to me now.
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I know you got him in two now.
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: I gave them to you in one.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: I had to.
- 39:10SPEAKER_02: I had to to stay alive.
- 39:13SPEAKER_01: Hey, it works, man.
- 39:14SPEAKER_01: It might it might have been the nail my coffin because I let you stay stick around.
- 39:18SPEAKER_01: I should let those guys bury you, Joe.
- 39:21SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 39:21SPEAKER_01: I like the prospect of having uh Jameer Gibbs and you know, uh I got my boys back, you know.
- 39:28SPEAKER_01: I got pickings back.
- 39:29SPEAKER_01: Remember, I was giving you shit early in the season.
- 39:31SPEAKER_01: I was like, why are you taking my calls, Joe?
- 39:34SPEAKER_01: I need to grab Kirk.
- 39:35SPEAKER_01: I know you wanted both of them.
- 39:36SPEAKER_01: I got them back.
- 39:37SPEAKER_01: Now you got both of them back.
- 39:40SPEAKER_01: Damn, that's how fancy works, man.
- 39:42SPEAKER_01: This guy lost four people, and he had to make a trade.
- 39:46SPEAKER_01: And I was like, I didn't even think about it until last minute.
- 39:48SPEAKER_01: I was like, you know what?
- 39:49SPEAKER_01: I could potentially get these guys back and buy low on them.
- 39:53SPEAKER_01: And sure enough, you know, at Jameer Gibbs.
- 39:56SPEAKER_01: Like, I think I think when Montgomery comes back, anyways, man, there's no way they they shut Gibbs down, man.
- 40:01SPEAKER_01: They they gotta they gotta give him his touches, especially when they realize that how one dimensional, like, yeah, they're getting passes Kalif Raymond and Josh Reynolds, and you know, and trying to force some of the Jamison Williams, but I think they're starting to realize Jameson is not really that dude, like he is not consistent, like he has super speed, but they didn't, you know, Jerry Goff is not a deep bomb type of guy, and you already have Laporta and Amon Ra working the middle, along with running backs working in flats.
- 40:32SPEAKER_01: So, unfortunately, if you have Jamison Williams, he's not really gonna give you that that ceiling you want from him either.
- 40:38SPEAKER_00: I agree, and and that's the thing is like I I totally agree that they're going to even if they're on a committee 50-50 with Montgomery and Jameer Gibbs, they're gonna want to give both of the guys a lot of work, but also give them time to rest.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: So I see them both having you know a great uh season the rest of the time.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: And then I also don't know what's going on with Jameson Williams, but he hasn't impressed me yet.
- 41:06SPEAKER_00: And um Laporta has.
- 41:08SPEAKER_00: So, you know, the volume's gonna be going to Laporta and Amonra in the past game, and it's gonna be with Jameer Gibbs and Montgomery in the run game.
- 41:17SPEAKER_00: And I see that as those four just really being dominant the rest of the season.
- 41:26SPEAKER_01: All right, big balls.
