- 0:003 lifelong friends, 6 trusty balls and endless NFL ticks.
- 0:05Welcome to Three guys 6 Balls NFL Podcast.
- 0:08Welcome to episode 36 of Three Guys 6 Balls NFL Podcast.
- 0:11Avery's rejoining us today. How was your Vegas trip, Avery?
- 0:17It was great, great time. Good to see the boys in Vegas.
- 0:22Good to see awesome NFL game and miss.
- 0:26The one play we missed happened to be an NFL record, which was
- 0:29awesome. I have heard from like four or
- 0:32five different people now that the fact that you and I were
- 0:35turning shoulder to shoulder taking a piss during that is
- 0:37probably the funniest thing I heard all week, so.
- 0:40We heard it. They were like, Oh yeah,
- 0:43actually scoring. Oh, Dang.
- 0:47But yeah, it was a it was a great time, great time.
- 0:50I was there with some other friends.
- 0:51Really good time. Do you want to disclose how much
- 0:55money you spent or is that? I did.
- 0:58I did not. Well, I gambled 20 bucks because
- 1:02we were all sitting like watching someone else do slots.
- 1:05And I was sitting in the seat and I remembered that I had a 20
- 1:08in my wallet and I was like, well, since everyone else is
- 1:11doing it, I'll just blow this. And I was trying to lose it.
- 1:13I was like betting big money. I was trying to like flex like
- 1:16with 20 bucks, like going for the higher bets.
- 1:18And I kept making just enough to like get back up to 20.
- 1:23And my whole thing was like just lose it.
- 1:25Just like hurry up and lose it. But I want to, I want to bet
- 1:27big. I want to bet big.
- 1:29And I like kept getting back. I'd get like real close to like
- 1:32$1.00 back up to like 2025 and do it again.
- 1:35And everyone's like, man, if you just cashed out, I'm like, now
- 1:38this is losing it all. But that wasn't where the money
- 1:41went. The money went to Ubers and
- 1:43food, some good food and some expensive Ubers.
- 1:46So. Yeah, I had a really good time.
- 1:48I just wanted to get some of your thoughts since you weren't
- 1:49here last week. But yeah, it was a good trip
- 1:52overall. So to get started with today's
- 1:55episode, our first topic is actually Avery's idea.
- 1:59So Avery is going to lead us. Actually, we have to do a will
- 2:03recap. I am sorry.
- 2:04Yeah, yeah, yeah, we have to do your recap.
- 2:06I totally forgot about that. Well, I wasn't able to forget.
- 2:09I didn't spend 45 minutes writing this to let you skip
- 2:12over it. Go ahead, Will.
- 2:16I can't. I can't.
- 2:20Go ahead, Avery. Go ahead, Joel.
- 2:25I I. Use OneNote.
- 2:27I use Microsoft OneNote for a reason.
- 2:31That way I can write it on one computer and have it on all
- 2:33computers. OK, we're good.
- 2:36All right, hold on. Don't hit play yet.
- 2:38Even though we're still recording.
- 2:39We're not uncut yet. We haven't said action.
- 2:42Apparently, I had to sign in on my computer.
- 2:45Sign in to save I. I'm signed in.
- 2:48OK, All right. We're good.
- 2:49All right, we can wrap up man, this week kind of sucked.
- 2:53We had started a Thursday Raiders Broncos Broncos be the
- 2:56winning the worst possible way. This team maybe 8:00 and 2:00,
- 2:59but it is fraudulent. It should be reported to every
- 3:01credit card company. As such, seven wins in the row
- 3:04is still hard to do an NFL. Congratulations to the Broncos.
- 3:07Falcons hat Colts Johnson Taylor had 286 scrimmage yards and his
- 3:125th 3 touchdown game this year, which is half well over no half
- 3:17of the games they've played he's scored three touchdowns in
- 3:20including a game-winning touchdown overtime and the Colts
- 3:22are still bucking at the top of the AFC.
- 3:24How about that pun for you Jets and Browns?
- 3:27Who cares? Just kidding.
- 3:29Just get rid of all their good players and then still find a
- 3:31way to win. Although now this is a made-up
- 3:35stat, you can't take a pass away and then judge a player by it.
- 3:39But if you take the one briefs Hall screen pass out of the
- 3:43equation, Justin Fields only throws for 12 yards that game
- 3:46and no touchdowns and it was a screen pass.
- 3:49So who was who was really doing the work there and we had Saints
- 3:52and Panthers. Saints are the number one pick
- 3:55isn't worth anything this year decide to pick up a win against
- 3:57Carolina. Hey, what the truck right struck
- 3:59season. Here we go.
- 4:00Pat's a bucks Pat's say how he is with left the Buccaneers with
- 4:04no timetable for Bucky's return. Bucky's going to hang on for a
- 4:07playoff spot. Seven wins in a row for the Pats
- 4:10as well. Again, it's not an easy thing to
- 4:12do in the NFL. Ravens at Vikings.
- 4:15There is a reason I've been saying JU McCarthy is bad.
- 4:19Just watch this game you'll see it.
- 4:20Also, have you guys heard about his alter ego?
- 4:22Have you guys heard about this yet?
- 4:26So he has come out and said that on the field he's not JJ
- 4:29McCarthy. He's 9 and he should be referred
- 4:33to as such. Only he wants to be called 9.
- 4:36He's on the field, in the locker room.
- 4:38It's his alter ego. And let me tell you, it's dumb.
- 4:41It doesn't work. Also the only nine we care
- 4:44about, Matthew Stafford. 3 turnovers for the Vikings Lift.
- 4:48The Ravens will win. Hold on, I'm trying to decide
- 4:51what's worse, that nickname or Caleb Bowie is painting his
- 4:54nails. It's the nickname.
- 4:56It's. Probably.
- 5:00The nickname the the. Painting.
- 5:01Yeah, painting the nails thing. You can write it off as a Oh
- 5:04well, my sister's cousin's nephew is a cancer survivor and
- 5:10she paints my nails every week and like, you can write that off
- 5:12or something. 9 Being a dog in this guy who you can't like, You
- 5:18are unproven. Be somebody in the NFL before
- 5:22you start to dub yourself a nickname.
- 5:24I think it's his mom, I think. His mom paints his nails.
- 5:27That's that doesn't I think it's his mom that does nails but
- 5:31still. I think that's convenient.
- 5:33That's very convenient for him though.
- 5:35Yeah. All right.
- 5:36Well. I mean, it's still. 3 turnovers
- 5:41for the Vikings lost the Ravens to a win.
- 5:43This Ravens team is 1 and five at one point and they are on the
- 5:46road to win the AFC North. Buffalo at Miami.
- 5:49Buffalo catches the Miami flu and gave one away down in South
- 5:52Florida. Then it's been too busy
- 5:54celebrating the win over Chiefs and forgot that Miami still has
- 5:57some good players. They still have good players and
- 6:01that coach apparently wants to coach again.
- 6:04Bears and Giants two. Bears win again to another team
- 6:08with a sub 500 record but a wins win and it did get take up to
- 6:12the Giants fired. Sorry Brian, Brian Dabo, but you
- 6:15are out now. I would like to go on a record
- 6:18that Bears are six and three. I'd like to go on a record
- 6:20saying the Bears will not make the playoffs this week or this
- 6:22year. Six and three through 10 weeks
- 6:25will not make the playoffs. I do want to say one thing, yes.
- 6:28I just find it funny that after the Packers lost that there's a
- 6:33bunch of Bears fans that are going out there saying, oh, the
- 6:36Bears are in first place in the NFC North.
- 6:38They're not. They're in second place.
- 6:42The Lions are currently leading the NFC North because they beat
- 6:46the Bears. The Bears are not in first place
- 6:48now. Shout out Brennan from She says
- 6:50in the Bear podcast. He is a reasonable Bears fan.
- 6:54He told a bear it was Bear Den Live.
- 6:58Who is one of the guys out there saying the Bears are in first?
- 7:01Brennan says. Dude, we're not in first because
- 7:05they're not so Bears fans. You're not in first place yet,
- 7:09OK? You're still in second place.
- 7:11You're six and three. You're six and three, which is a
- 7:14good record. I'm not taking anything away
- 7:16from you, but you are not in first.
- 7:17You are in second place. I will take it away from you.
- 7:20Actually, I will be the guy. I will stand on this hill.
- 7:23You are 6 and three and your two games that you have for your
- 7:26three games you have played against people, teams with over
- 7:30500 win, 500 win records. Half their games they've won.
- 7:35You lost out three of them and it wasn't close for most of her.
- 7:38Two of them. And you got destroyed by the
- 7:41lines like 51 to 13. OK, Let's not act like you're
- 7:44good. You are better than the bad and
- 7:47you are worse than the good. You are the Jason Carrick Dallas
- 7:51Cowboys welcome in. Welcome to your new place.
- 7:54Congratulations 88 and one for the rest of your eternity.
- 7:58Congratulations. You made it anyway.
- 8:02Jag is a Texans Davis Mills leads the Texans to a 26 point
- 8:06fourth quarter. Did a comeback win over the Jags
- 8:09with JJ Watt on the Cole. I bet you 3rd in goal with 37
- 8:16seconds left on the clock. Texans down by 5, Davis Mills
- 8:20scrambles for 14 yards to get the touchdown.
- 8:23Then on the next possession, down by one.
- 8:26They went for two. Didn't get it.
- 8:27Next position down by 1. Trevor Lawrence gets throws an
- 8:32interception. It's a 6/6 as a defensive tackle
- 8:35runs back 30 yards for AA66 to steal the game.
- 8:39Big win for the Texans. That was the last exciting thing
- 8:42that happened this the rest of the week in football.
- 8:44We had Arizona, Seattle. Seattle took on Arizona in a
- 8:48boat race. 2 defensive touchdowns put Arizona away
- 8:50early. The Seahawks team can apparently
- 8:53win at home in opposed or in opposition to what people say on
- 8:56the Internet. They are still good at home and
- 8:58I'm still more worried about them at home in the playoffs
- 9:00than I am away. I'm going to stand by that one
- 9:04anyway. Detroit at Washington, President
- 9:06Donald J Trump in the building, slash the boots, Commanders get
- 9:09destroyed. Bill Lyons.
- 9:11Dan Campbell shows that it was in fact a play caller's fault
- 9:13that they were so bad. Rams at 49ers.
- 9:16This game looked close for a minute, but it never was.
- 9:19Stafford continues to put on at clinic.
- 9:21Went for 20 touchdowns and 0 picks in the last six games.
- 9:24Steelers and Chargers. Chargers win a snooze fest and
- 9:26Sunday Night Football. She ended up staying for that
- 9:28whole game. Who cares?
- 9:30That game started with the safety.
- 9:31Aaron Rodgers tried to run away from a defensive end, it didn't
- 9:33work. He fumbled, fell on the ball
- 9:35with the other safety. The game was over at that point
- 9:38and Eagles and Packers played this week, but no one really
- 9:41cared. Only ones that benefited were
- 9:43Devonta Smith and Draft Jacobs fantasy owners.
- 9:45Besides that it was so boring. It was bad TV, and it wasn't
- 9:48necessarily a bad thing that YouTube TV doesn't have ESPN
- 9:52right now, because you didn't miss anything good anyway.
- 9:58I will say I was very excited when Josh Jacobs scored that
- 10:02touchdown because we won our fantasy game.
- 10:04Yeah, we were down like 19 points at the end of that week.
- 10:06Weren't. We we were we were down 2 or.
- 10:09Something like that. He got 19.8.
- 10:12He actually so because he got that touchdown, we were up by so
- 10:16we won by .68 points but we were up.
- 10:20We were up by more, but then he fumble, he fumble at the end of
- 10:24that game and so we won by .68 points.
- 10:28So luckily that fumble did it cost us.
- 10:32We won, we won. It's our first time.
- 10:34It's our first time in that league this season.
- 10:36We won multiple games in a row. The first time all season.
- 10:41I was just praying the whole time, like please, just Josh,
- 10:44you could just score a touchdown.
- 10:45Just score a touchdown, please. So I was yeah, I was excited for
- 10:51about that game just because of that.
- 10:52So, all right. Well, thanks, Will.
- 10:56Now Avery is officially your turn.
- 10:58And just remember, yeah, officially.
- 11:01Just remember, I may or may not be here next week.
- 11:04So you are auditioning to be host.
- 11:08Well, I'll tell you what, the competition is real bad.
- 11:12I've got a, I've got my other cousin Gavin, who I want to
- 11:18bring on. The thing is, he actually knows
- 11:20more. Like whenever I ask him any NFL
- 11:23question, he's he's given me stats, he's given me like
- 11:26contacts and everything. Dude's a huge Seahawks fan, so I
- 11:30feel like he's going to be emboldened and very excited.
- 11:33I think. I think you guys are going to
- 11:35like him. Will will like him.
- 11:37Joel will like him from afar when he watches the episode
- 11:40after the fact. I'm going to try to be here.
- 11:42I just don't know. My wife's having foot surgery
- 11:44next week. I don't know if I'm going to be
- 11:46here or not. She's got 2 feet.
- 11:49Yeah, he's heard me run one of them.
- 11:51Yeah, that's what I told her. Privileged.
- 11:55I'm a white woman in America. I don't have to work.
- 12:00Yeah, she's anyways. I don't care.
- 12:02I need both of my feet. Anyways, this first topic was
- 12:07Avery's idea, so Avery's going to lead.
- 12:09So Go, all right, I don't remember what it was.
- 12:12That's a joke. All right, I'm going to ask you
- 12:15guys, who in the NFL do you think is the most underutilized
- 12:22player now for anyone at home? That means anyone who's in a
- 12:26maybe in a inopportune spot in the depth chart, they've got a
- 12:32different, you know, maybe not a great coaching staff or scheme
- 12:38or the way they're being used or whatever it is, who is a player
- 12:43that would benefit from being moved to a different team.
- 12:47And now if you've, if you've got the name of the team or you have
- 12:50an idea, that'd be great too. Or you could just point out why
- 12:53you think that player is being underutilized and could be
- 12:56utilized somewhere else more effectively.
- 12:58I'm going to start with Will. Oh, I'm going to pass.
- 13:02Joel can start. I'm going to go with Joel.
- 13:08All right, so the player that I think is most underutilized is
- 13:12Falcons running back Tyler Algier.
- 13:15Yeah, he is. I, I think a lot of people
- 13:19forget this. When he was drafted in 2022 in
- 13:22the fifth round, he ran for over 1000 yards and he averaged 4.9
- 13:27yards a carry. That's really good.
- 13:31That's really good. And then the very next year, the
- 13:34Falcons draft Bijan Robinson the very next year after he ran for
- 13:381000 yards as a rookie. I don't understand why.
- 13:42Now part of me understands why they drafted Bijan because he
- 13:45is. Part of me understands it
- 13:47because he's he's one of the best running backs in the
- 13:50league. And so you're getting one of the
- 13:52best running backs in the league when you draft him.
- 13:54But and you know, these teams like the Lions, they're trying
- 13:57to build back fields where they feature multiple guys.
- 14:00But the part I don't understand is with Robinson and Algier,
- 14:04it's more like a 7030 split versus with Montgomery and
- 14:08Gibbs, it's more like a 5050 split.
- 14:10It's not exactly 5050, but it's pretty close to 5050 between
- 14:13those two. With Algier and Robinson, it's
- 14:15not Robinson's more like 70, Algiers like 30.
- 14:20They do utilize Algier sometimes.
- 14:23Like in this last game he had 11 carries to Robinson 17 and he
- 14:28ran for 57 yards and two touchdowns on 5.2 yards per
- 14:32carry, which is pretty good for a backup running back.
- 14:34But they also have other games where they don't utilize him at
- 14:38all. He has four games this year
- 14:40where he has less than 5 carries now as a rookie, Algier had 10
- 14:45plus carries in 13 of his 17 games played.
- 14:48And then since Robinson was drafted the year after, he's had
- 14:54less than 10 carries in 25 of 43 games played, which is 58% of
- 14:59his games. How do they expect this guy to
- 15:02get any sort of rhythm going when they give him less than 10
- 15:05carries 60% of the time? I don't understand what the
- 15:09Falcons are doing with Tyler Algier.
- 15:10They're not utilizing him in the way that they should.
- 15:13And I don't want to say anything bad about Bijan Robinson because
- 15:17he's great. He's one of the best running
- 15:18backs in the league. But what has he done to help the
- 15:21Falcons win? Nothing.
- 15:25He's done nothing to help the Falcons win.
- 15:27They haven't done anything since he's been there.
- 15:29So in my opinion, if I was the Falcons in 2023, going into that
- 15:33draft, I would not have drafted Robinson because you just had a
- 15:37rookie who you drafted in the fifth round who ran for over
- 15:411000 yards and again, 4.9 yards per carry, which is fantastic.
- 15:46Some of the players drafted after Robinson in that draft,
- 15:49Jaylen Carter was the very next pick, one of the best defensive
- 15:52tackles in the league, Christian Gonzalez, one of the best
- 15:54corners in the league, Jackson Smith and Jigba later in that
- 15:58first round, one of the best wide receivers in the league.
- 16:01They could have had one of those guys.
- 16:02There's there's a couple other guys too, but they could have
- 16:05had one of those guys to make their team better and left Tyler
- 16:08Algier as the starting running back and they would have been
- 16:10probably better off than drafting Dijon Robinson and
- 16:14leaving Tyler Algier as the backup that they sometimes use
- 16:18and just sometimes decide that they just don't want to.
- 16:21I don't understand what the Falcons are doing with him.
- 16:24I feel like if you went to any other team and he was the
- 16:27starter, he's not going to be one of the best running backs in
- 16:29the league, but he would be a very solid running back who can
- 16:33get the job done. And for reference, Tyler
- 16:38Algiers, the BYU walk on, I was working at Walmart before
- 16:43joining the team. He's also, most people probably
- 16:47won't remember this, but there was a highlight several years
- 16:49ago of BYU losing the ball, fumbling it and that defender
- 16:54running it all the way back almost to the end zone.
- 16:57But you see Algier running, chasing after him and just
- 17:02punches that ball out and BYU gets it back.
- 17:05Some like I just Metcalf stuff, right?
- 17:07Oh, Oh, yeah, yeah. And and that's the thing.
- 17:10It's one the hustle, but also just that.
- 17:12I mean, it was a smooth motion like he had.
- 17:14He knew exactly how he was going to do it.
- 17:16When I saw that, I was like, Kate, this guy, this guy's a
- 17:19baller. This guy's going to go after it.
- 17:21And that's what I like to see. But all right, Will what do you
- 17:24got? Hold on.
- 17:25I'd like to not move on yet. I am ready.
- 17:28This is not me stalling. I am ready.
- 17:29I'm just so Joe Tyler Algier. I looked it up here real quick.
- 17:34Tyler Algier is in the fourth year of his contract and after
- 17:37this year he was an unrestricted free agent, so he is able to go
- 17:41wherever he wants. Who do you think should go after
- 17:45him and where do you think he goes?
- 17:48I don't think he stays in Atlanta, let me put it that way.
- 17:50I don't think he does either. I'm just looking at something
- 17:54real quick. OK, so Buck's backup running
- 17:59back, currently starter Rashad White, is in the last year of
- 18:03his contract. I would love to see him get
- 18:06shipped out 'cause he sucks and get Algier in because the
- 18:10Buccaneers use multiple. The Buccaneers use multiple
- 18:14running backs. They do.
- 18:15They did it last year, They're doing it this year.
- 18:18Even with Bucky Irving out when he was in, they were still using
- 18:21multiple running backs. But if you had Bucky Irving and
- 18:23Tyler Algier, the Buccaneers would actually use them.
- 18:26They would find a way to actually use it and he would be
- 18:29good. That offense would be
- 18:30significantly better if they had Tyler Alger back there versus
- 18:34Rashad White right now, because Rashad White sucks.
- 18:38He sucks. He's averaging like 3 yards a
- 18:40carry and it's doing nothing for the Buccaneers offense.
- 18:43Their third string running back is getting more carries than he
- 18:46is because he sucks. Yeah, Sean Taylor or something
- 18:50like. That Sean Tucker, Yeah.
- 18:52Yeah. I would love to see White get
- 18:54shipped out or just just not come back and just bring in
- 18:57Algier. He would be fantastic with the
- 18:59Buccaneers. I like that I'm a little bit
- 19:03different route. I'm picking a a current starter
- 19:06in the NFL who I just want to see in a different team because
- 19:08he's good. I'm picking Jet star Roger
- 19:11Seaver, currently her Garrett Wilson.
- 19:14Garrett Wilson has in his three years has had 83 or more
- 19:19receiving receptions and over 1000 yards all three years.
- 19:24He had 1100 yards his rookie year, 11 O3, 11103 yards his
- 19:30rookie year, just over 1000 yards his second year.
- 19:33And last year he had 11 or 11104.
- 19:35So pretty consistent over 1000 yards.
- 19:38And the touchdowns haven't been there as you might want as your
- 19:41as your starter. But I mean, you look at your
- 19:43your quarterback scenario here. And so I think last year was
- 19:46when Aaron was there, right? That was Aaron's full season
- 19:48there. Yes, in New York, Yeah.
- 19:51So, so with Aaron Rodgers, a competent quarterback, he had
- 19:54154 targets with 101 receptions for 1100 yards, 7 touchdowns.
- 20:00And that's on The Jets. And The Jets are not good.
- 20:03Even with Aaron Rodgers, The Jets were not good this year.
- 20:06And I understand he's been hurt in the games he's been in.
- 20:09He has only gotten 10 targets twice this year.
- 20:13Which is not great. One game is against Dallas, the
- 20:16other game is against Tampa Bay and he's only had well more than
- 20:205 receptions half of the games. He is just being completely
- 20:24underutilized. As I mentioned in my wrap up had
- 20:27your had No, he was out this week.
- 20:31He did not play or he got he got hurt.
- 20:33Excuse me? No, he was out got hurt 3
- 20:37targets. I can do math, I can read.
- 20:40He got hurt in this game and so that didn't help his cause.
- 20:43But as I mentioned earlier, if Justin Fields doesn't throw that
- 20:48screen pass Debris Hall, he has 12 total passing out of this
- 20:51game. This is not a team for a star
- 20:54wide receiver to be on. I was actually a bit shocked
- 20:56that they did not ship him out at the trade deadline.
- 20:59But you can't, I mean, you can't trade all of your bad players.
- 21:03So he he's good and I would like to see him be good again.
- 21:08So I think he is incredibly underutilized as a as a number
- 21:12one wide receiver in the NFL. If The Jets just had a
- 21:16quarterback, it would make all the difference.
- 21:19That's, I don't even know if it's a quarterback.
- 21:21I feel like there's something else going on over there.
- 21:24They had Aaron Rodgers. It's got to be, I don't know if
- 21:27it's an organizational thing or what, but it just feels like
- 21:30anything that goes to The Jets just Withers and dies.
- 21:34I mean, Aaron Rodgers doesn't look really look that good this
- 21:36year either. It's just it's just an old Aaron
- 21:40Rodgers. You got Aaron, an old Aaron
- 21:42Rodgers. You got Justin Fields.
- 21:44You have, what's his name, Zach Wilson.
- 21:48Zach Wilson. Yeah.
- 21:49Like that's not going to help your receivers at all.
- 21:53Yeah, I he's a, he's still under his rookie deal for this year
- 21:57and next and then in 2027 his contract go jumps up to
- 22:0113,000,013 and a half million and then 2626 and then 31.
- 22:06He's he's through 20-30 at New York.
- 22:10And for a receiver who's not putting up the numbers that
- 22:14you'd like, that's almost untradable.
- 22:16But all this NFL money is fake anyway, so it doesn't really
- 22:19matter. Same thing with baseball and
- 22:21basketball. All this money is fake.
- 22:22Teller caps are a joke. But yeah, I just, I, I just
- 22:27think he's going to be underutilized forever.
- 22:29And then The Jets are currently just in a pattern of never going
- 22:32to get out of it right there. Their last best hope was Mark
- 22:37Sanchez. That's that's kind of where
- 22:40we're at. He was their best hope.
- 22:42Yeah. And well, he's done some
- 22:44questionable stuff since then, most recently.
- 22:46But yeah, I just, I don't know. I like your Wilson.
- 22:50I like the skill he has. I thought it was really cool
- 22:54they had your Wilson and Sauce Gardner that going up against
- 22:57each other in practice, I'm sure made them both incredibly good.
- 23:01Like you go up against a top tier caliber guy, practice every
- 23:04single day, you're going to get better.
- 23:07And then now that you don't have that, your Wilson's been hurt.
- 23:10Sauce Garner is now a cult. And so you're just destined to
- 23:13just, but hey, you know what? They have a lot of picks.
- 23:16They have so many draft picks. You can just find your Wilson's
- 23:19and sauce garters everywhere. Maybe the plan is to bring in
- 23:24what's the news from Ohio State that roasts everybody.
- 23:28Oh, Jeremiah Smith. Jeremiah Smith.
- 23:30I had that same. I had that same thought like The
- 23:34Jets probably just secured the best receiver, the best player
- 23:38in that draft with all those picks.
- 23:40He is by far the best player. Yes, that dude's an absolute
- 23:44stunt. He should be in the NFL right
- 23:45now, honestly. All right, so I got an honorable
- 23:49mention and that's Alvin Kamara just 'cause I feel like he's in
- 23:52prison and he's just just, he's just withering away over there.
- 23:58I, my main guy is Kyler Murray. I feel like, I feel like he's
- 24:04still got a lot left to give. And I think Arizona, just
- 24:07whether it's just the weapons or what, I don't feel like I'm just
- 24:12not. I'm not as big of a fan of
- 24:14Marvin Harrison Junior as I used to be.
- 24:17And it might because he's on my fantasy team this year.
- 24:19He's just letting me down. But I understand what the
- 24:22situation is over there. So like I get it, but I almost
- 24:27kind of feel like, and I talked with Gavin, my cousin, and he
- 24:30kind of agrees. We will think that he'd do a lot
- 24:33better in Miami. I think with basically replacing
- 24:38Tua with him, I'll bet Kyler could find some new life.
- 24:42In fact, I wouldn't even say that Tua would do better in
- 24:46Arizona, but I almost just feel like why don't you just swap
- 24:48them? I feel like both fan bases are
- 24:50getting a little tired mainly just cause of the losing.
- 24:54But I'm like, if you just did just just QB for QB swap, I feel
- 24:58like with HN and you got Tyreek coming back soon, I just feel
- 25:04like, 'cause I mean, The thing is, Kyler's still got his
- 25:06mobility, just the aux. Coming back soon.
- 25:09In two years, maybe. Maybe three, yeah.
- 25:15Can you look that up? Will do a little.
- 25:17I'm pulling it up. I.
- 25:18Know, I know he's going to be out for at least a full year at
- 25:21least. That dude's knee was sideways.
- 25:25But even without knee surgery. Just put it back in man.
- 25:28Season in the knee surgery. Oh, he's not going like this.
- 25:31Yeah. Even without Tyra Kill though
- 25:33Kyler Murray and Devon Agent, I feel like that would be pretty
- 25:36scary to opposing defenses just based off of the rushing ability
- 25:40alone. Yeah.
- 25:41Right. And they kept draining waggle.
- 25:43You know who would be good for that offense?
- 25:45As if Chip Kelly went down here to Miami.
- 25:48He loves with, with, with. Some Oregon.
- 25:51Offense Devon Yeah, some more. Some speed, Some speed option in
- 25:55the NFL. Oh, in Miami in that heat you
- 25:58get down there in November and the humidity and nobody is ready
- 26:01for it anymore. All right, sorry, we're just wet
- 26:03dreaming out here. But yeah, no, that's that's
- 26:07basically, I just feel like sometimes and and and this
- 26:10opinion is kind of influenced a little bit by some of these QBs
- 26:13that have left to different teams and like legitimately
- 26:16found new life. I mean, Daniel Jones is the
- 26:19clear example. But like, just seeing like, OK,
- 26:22you guys are all professional athletes.
- 26:24It's not like you're just bad. I mean, it's the same thing with
- 26:26the Browns. It's like, dude, get this man
- 26:28out of Cleveland. Like what else could he do if he
- 26:30wasn't here? What else could he do if he
- 26:32wasn't on The Jets or the OR the Bears up until, you know, maybe
- 26:34recently even still now. But I just feel like I, I feel
- 26:38like sometimes getting that fresh start for a quarterback
- 26:42more than anything else, more than any other position, I feel
- 26:44like a nice change of scenery without bad publicity around it.
- 26:50Meaning you, you weren't, there wasn't some like, you know,
- 26:54dramatic trade or some bad falling out, but simply
- 26:58something that you could blame the ownership for, but not the
- 27:00player. Cuz I feel like you, it just
- 27:02makes them get in their head. You already got fans booing them
- 27:06from the, for you know, from the get go.
- 27:07I just feel like, you know, that that does affect quarterbacks.
- 27:11And I feel like, you know, you want them to get in that rhythm,
- 27:13you want to get in that flow state.
- 27:14And I just feel like, yeah, I think Kyler Murray will be
- 27:19really fun to watch. Yeah, that would be.
- 27:21Yeah, that would be cool. I feel like that would actually
- 27:23be the probably the best place that he could probably go.
- 27:26So. All right.
- 27:28Well, good job, Avery. That was a good audition for.
- 27:30You. Thank you.
- 27:32Definitely better than I did. Thanks guys.
- 27:36At least he didn't leave all. Right, Avery, you're up.
- 27:46All right, so the next thing we're going to talk about is
- 27:50Jonathan Taylor. Should Jonathan Taylor be
- 27:53leading the MVP race right now? Yeah, I think he should be.
- 27:58That settles it. All right, that's it.
- 28:00Done. That's all you got to.
- 28:02Say, I mean, if we're talking about, I mean, I mean, I, I
- 28:05would, I don't think I'd put, I mean, the fact that you've got
- 28:08Daniel Jones as the top passer and Jonathan Taylor as the top
- 28:13rusher is this is Carly's doing. Like she knows ball.
- 28:19She's put together the best team.
- 28:21I love how she's been around for years doing this.
- 28:24It's just this year that we've kept tabs on it and the Internet
- 28:26is like, Carly is the GOAT and the coaching staff.
- 28:29It's just like what? Like she's taking notes.
- 28:33We're the ones running this team and like, Nah, dude, Carly,
- 28:36dude, Carly's doing it. It's because of Carly.
- 28:39It's because Jim Mercer passed away and and Carly or say Gordon
- 28:45Sin and oh, there's three or say daughters.
- 28:52Jim had three daughters and all three the.
- 28:54Other two. The other two are irrelevant.
- 28:57They are not. They just.
- 28:59They don't take notes on the sideline.
- 29:01They don't care about, they don't have, we don't care about
- 29:04same eyebrows. They have the same eyebrows.
- 29:06Taking notes on the sideline. You can't.
- 29:08I can't not right? I have to do it.
- 29:10They might, we just don't know. We don't know what they look
- 29:12like. That I mean they're in the
- 29:14building every day anyway so so yeah she you at delivery she's
- 29:20been doing it for years it's just now she's.
- 29:23And it started off. It started off negative.
- 29:26I mean, I remember when, because I first saw it when like the I
- 29:29can't remember if it was preseason or just the first game
- 29:31where she was out there. And I remember all the comments
- 29:34being like, what is this? Like this is some Jerry Jones
- 29:38shit, Like why are you out here? And then they're winning.
- 29:42And now everyone's like, dude, Carly's got that secret sauce.
- 29:46Now she does. She has Sauce Gardener, which
- 29:48just to me sounds like a ranch brand, you know?
- 29:51Sauce Gardener. Anyway.
- 29:57Anyway, will, what do you think? So right now, Jonathan Taylor
- 30:02sits at 3rd and MVP odds per ESPN bets at plus 600.
- 30:09Drake May is first, followed by Matthew Stafford and Patrick
- 30:13Mahomes and Jonathan Taylor are tied for third.
- 30:15I mean, I mentioned in the wrap up that this is this week was
- 30:19his third week or his fifth week this year with three touchdowns,
- 30:24his fifth hat trick of the year. Now that is combined rushing and
- 30:28passer receiving, but still he's got 11139 rushing yards, 15
- 30:34touchdowns through 10 games rushing and you add another two
- 30:39touchdowns receiving and another 250 yards.
- 30:41He is that team, right? Like Avery said, you've got
- 30:44Daniel Jones, you have no big name receivers, you've got a
- 30:48defense that's just putting it together.
- 30:50But you've got Jonathan Taylor and you've got he is the guy,
- 30:54he's going to win offensive player of the year and they're
- 30:57just going to give regulations and MVP.
- 31:00To. To a quarterback, because that's
- 31:02just what they do well. He's the guy touching the ball
- 31:05every play. But I'm pretty sure Daniel Jones
- 31:07would be fine if Jonathan Taylor was touching the ball every
- 31:11play. You know what?
- 31:12We're going to flee, flicker every play.
- 31:14I'm a hand to you, you're going to toss it back to me.
- 31:16We're going to some backyard football bull garbage.
- 31:19That was for you, Dwayne. And just make sure that.
- 31:23He comments on all this all the time.
- 31:25He's like, did they say sorry, Dwayne?
- 31:27I'm like, yeah, I'm sure you figured out why.
- 31:32You just don't want to mention it.
- 31:33But yeah, we were all oh, no, that's what it was.
- 31:37Was it something, I think it was on a short well, like you made
- 31:40the short, but like you didn't put that part in or maybe you
- 31:42took that out. I can't remember what the deal
- 31:44was. It was something about that.
- 31:46I'm sure he appreciates it though.
- 31:47No, I, I do, I am in the camp of Jonathan Taylor.
- 31:51Should be #1 currently, I think if he continues to have the
- 31:54season he has. So we've got eight more games
- 31:57after the season, he's on track for 20 something 2528
- 32:02touchdowns, something like that, right?
- 32:04That's how math works. 29. 29 pardon me, didn't mean to total,
- 32:09total, total sure. 29 total touchdowns as a non quarterback
- 32:15where you are, you're not throwing the ball to different
- 32:19people. You don't have other options.
- 32:21You are the one doing the work. This is what everybody wanted
- 32:24Chris McCaffrey to be and it's John Taylor.
- 32:27And so I, I don't know, I, I, I think it is deserving of MVP, at
- 32:31least the way he's trending. I agree.
- 32:33I think Jonathan Taylor's been in the MVP conversation for a
- 32:37lot of this season based off of how he's played this year.
- 32:40But I feel like in that conversation, it always ends
- 32:43with, well, he's a running back so he's not going to win it, but
- 32:46it's time to give the people what they want.
- 32:48The people want a non quarterback MVP for the first
- 32:52time since 2012. It's time to give the people
- 32:55what they want by giving the MVP to Jonathan Taylor.
- 32:59Or Baker Mayfield, I'd be OK with that quarterback.
- 33:02Well, he's kind of, he's kind of worked himself out of it,
- 33:06unfortunately. That's The thing is this is such
- 33:08a, this is such a up and down league and if you're not in it
- 33:12right, it's a what have you done for me lately?
- 33:14And the lately is last week. Jonathan Taylor has 0 touchdowns
- 33:18next week. Might as well ride him out of
- 33:20the history, but it's never going to happen.
- 33:22But then he'll have 3 touchdowns a week after so it'll be fine.
- 33:25Honestly that's kind of his trend though I do believe I
- 33:28heard a Schefter stat that was since Adrian Peterson won MVP.
- 33:34He was the last non quarterback to win MVP.
- 33:37There have been. So do you know how the MVP
- 33:39voting works? Poorly.
- 33:40Vote. So, so there's a bunch of people
- 33:44who vote and it's, it's your first place vote, your second
- 33:46place vote in your third place vote.
- 33:49And I don't know how many they do, but your first place vote,
- 33:51what you say is worth five points.
- 33:53Yeah, your second place is worth 3 and your third place is worth
- 33:55one, right. So you, you get points based off
- 33:58it just the way the highest thing where the highest one
- 33:59works. Since I think it's since 2016,
- 34:02there have been, I, I don't know how many first place votes cast,
- 34:07but only one of them were to a non quarterback.
- 34:11Here's a trivia question for you.
- 34:13Who was the player, the non quarterback who received the one
- 34:17vote first place MVP vote since 2016?
- 34:21Saquon Barkley. No and no.
- 34:25Oh really? This was 2021 when this
- 34:28happened. 2021 I wasn't a podcaster then.
- 34:32I don't know. I I don't know.
- 34:35Was it maybe? 2022.
- 34:38Was it Jonathan Taylor? It was not.
- 34:41That would have been convenient if it was.
- 34:44Who was it? Josh Jacobs?
- 34:46Derek. Nope, Dirk, it was, yeah, yeah,
- 34:4920/21. It was Cooper Cup the year he
- 34:51won Triple Crown. Oh, really?
- 34:54It was a quadruple crown because he also got yards after the
- 34:57catch or something like that. Receptions.
- 34:58There's another record in there that he got or not, right?
- 35:01He was. There was another stat he was #1
- 35:03in, but yeah, that was he got one vote that year that he won
- 35:08the Triple Crown for first place at MVP.
- 35:10If they're not going to give it to him for that, they're just
- 35:12not going to give it to a non quarterback anymore.
- 35:14It's just not going to happen. Who do they get it to is that?
- 35:18Brady No, probably in my homes here.
- 35:23Yeah, we've been in that Stafford, actually.
- 35:27No, it wasn't Stafford. That's Nikola Yokich.
- 35:30I want NFL why we oh, Aaron Rodgers.
- 35:35Oh, right, Aaron went both. Aaron Rodgers went both COVID
- 35:38years. And you know, I knew that.
- 35:39But here's the difference between Jonathan Taylor and all
- 35:43these other running backs who you could take Saquon Barkley
- 35:46from last year. Saquon Barkley had a historic
- 35:48season last season. It was a historic season for a
- 35:51running back, but he was third in MVP voting.
- 35:54But here's the biggest difference.
- 35:56Jonathan Taylor is on track to get.
- 35:58He's on track to get more yards than Saquon Barkley, but it's
- 36:01it's within 100 yards of each other.
- 36:02So it's basically the same total yardage.
- 36:04But the difference is last year in 16 games played, Saquon
- 36:08Barkley had 15 total touchdowns. Jonathan Taylor has more total
- 36:13touchdowns in 10 games than Saquon Barkley had all of last
- 36:17season. He has more.
- 36:19He's on pace to get 14 more total touchdowns than Saquon
- 36:23Barkley had all of last year. 14 more touchdowns.
- 36:27That's incredible. Jonathan Taylor is on pace with
- 36:30what Ladainian Tomlinson did in 2006 when he had 2323 total
- 36:36yards and 31 total touchdowns. He's on track to get a little
- 36:39bit less touchdowns, but that is insane.
- 36:41If Jonathan Taylor is on pace and he finishes even somewhat in
- 36:46the realm of Ladainian Tomlinson's 2006 season, he's
- 36:49MVP, no question. No question, It should not go to
- 36:53a quarterback. I don't care if Matthew Stafford
- 36:55throws for 50 touchdown passes. I don't care what Drake Mays
- 36:58doing. If Jonathan Taylor gets in the
- 37:01realm of Ladainian Tomlinson's historic 2006 season, he is the
- 37:06MVP, no question. He should not be offensive
- 37:10player of the year. He should not be offensive
- 37:12player of the year. Give Offensive Player of the
- 37:13year to the best quarterback and give MVP to Jonathan Taylor
- 37:16because he deserves it. If he can do that, he deserves
- 37:19it 100%. Dude, I'm looking at these stats
- 37:22right now. With the exception of Larry
- 37:24Johnson from Kansas City in 2006, Ladainian Tomlinson had
- 37:29twice as much touchdowns as the next best running back.
- 37:33Yeah, yeah. That's.
- 37:35In 28 touchdowns, that's like slightly above average
- 37:42quarterback numbers. Caleb Williams wishes he could
- 37:47throw. That many.
- 37:50And that's what Jonathan Taylor is on pace to do right now.
- 37:53He's on pace to have 29 touchdowns.
- 37:55Lt. had 31. He's right there with what
- 37:59Ladainian Tomlinson was doing in 2006.
- 38:02Yeah, until next week and then we'll be like, oh, off.
- 38:07Track. That guy sucks.
- 38:09I can't do even a starter. Yeah.
- 38:14That's the way it goes. Why is this guy playing?
- 38:18He only had 150 yards and one touchdown.
- 38:21Get him out of here. They're playing the Chiefs.
- 38:25Yeah, that should be a good game.
- 38:27That will be a good game. All right, but since we're
- 38:29talking about the Colts, let's move on to our last topic of
- 38:31this episode. So there are three teams in the
- 38:34AFC who are currently 8 and two. They're all tied for the one
- 38:38seed right now. The Colts, the Broncos and the
- 38:41Patriots, they're all eight and two.
- 38:42So the Colts are the one, the Broncos are the two, and the
- 38:45Patriots are the three currently, but they all have the
- 38:48same record. So which of those three, eight
- 38:51and two teams in the AFC do you guys think has the best chance
- 38:55to finish as the number one seed?
- 38:57I think the Patriots have the easiest route.
- 39:00That was my understanding after looking at their schedules.
- 39:05That being said, I'm still I'm still kind of on this camp of
- 39:09like like I, I don't like saying it out loud, but I still feel
- 39:12like the Colts are just like one game away from being exposed.
- 39:16Like like they it just doesn't feel real that they're that
- 39:21good. And it kind of feels like Joel,
- 39:24I don't know if you remember this, this is like our
- 39:26sophomore, maybe junior year in high school and might have
- 39:29sophomore, but the Titans were like undefeated.
- 39:32They were like 1011 and O and I remember like we were talking
- 39:38about them and like, Oh yeah, they're not considered like the
- 39:40best team. And I'm like, dude, they have
- 39:42not lost. This might have been like 2009
- 39:44or something. And then they like lost a couple
- 39:48games and then they just got just flushed out of the out of
- 39:51the playoffs. And I was like, oh, like this
- 39:53whole time I just thought these these guys were good.
- 39:56No one was giving them respect. And then it just didn't go
- 39:59anywhere anyways. And that's kind of how I feel
- 40:02about the Colts. I'm trying to disabuse myself of
- 40:05that notion that like, they're not really here just because
- 40:09Daniel Jones. I mean, he's got one extra
- 40:11gameplay, but technically as of right now, he does have the most
- 40:14passing yards. And then with Jonathan Taylor as
- 40:16well. And then also Warren.
- 40:19Dude's a monster out there. It's, I feel like you'd feel so
- 40:25bad if you were. Wait, Warren went before
- 40:27Loveland? Or did Loveland go first?
- 40:29No, Loveland was first because you spoke it into existence,
- 40:32dude. What did I say?
- 40:36You said Loveland was going to get drafted before Warren, both
- 40:39within the first. I think you said 16 picks.
- 40:43Oh, that was a yeah, that was a really specific guess.
- 40:47Yeah, because Warren was projected higher and you're
- 40:49like, no, lovin's going to go first.
- 40:52I just didn't. I think I just didn't want
- 40:53Warren to go because Oregon played him and he looks scary
- 40:57good. And then I thought by him going
- 40:59to the Colts, maybe like, OK, we're not going to hear about
- 41:01him for a while. Not true.
- 41:07OK, well, Avery a monster, yeah. Avery, let me ask you this.
- 41:10Do you think the Colts were exposed when they lost to the
- 41:13Steelers? No, no, I don't I, I, I guess
- 41:19what I was not them losing, but more like I was waiting to see
- 41:23if they would lose composure, like kind of fall apart a little
- 41:27bit, kind of like maybe the giants after losing Scataboo or
- 41:30something where it's like, OK, we kind of, you know, we kind of
- 41:35lost our. Our vibe, our whole identity,
- 41:39yeah. Yeah, just like this was, I
- 41:41mean, it was more social media driven, but you could tell that
- 41:43team was like they were having a good time.
- 41:46I mean, they weren't winning all their games, but it it looked
- 41:48promising. And then that happened.
- 41:49It was like, OK, now you're lost.
- 41:51Your head coach, you had to put Wilson in.
- 41:54It's like, I don't know what we were excited for.
- 41:56We, we, this is still New York, but I haven't seen that from the
- 42:00Colts yet. In fact, if anything, like I, I
- 42:02usually the way I can try to look past any bias I have is
- 42:06what I want my team playing them.
- 42:08And the answer is no, I would not.
- 42:09So I still feel like they're going to continue to go like to,
- 42:14to win, but like something's off.
- 42:17And then the Bronx, 'cause I think of a very difficult path.
- 42:20I think they could do it, to be honest, be totally honest, you
- 42:23guys. I was amazed when I saw they
- 42:25were eight and two. I forgot that they like they
- 42:28were like 2. They were one and two to start
- 42:30the season and I just I didn't realize that they hadn't lost
- 42:34since. And a lot of those games were
- 42:36close. One in particular against the
- 42:39Giants, they had no business winning, but the Giants right
- 42:42now here you take this dub. I know it's mine and I have it
- 42:46locked in this vault, but I'm going to go ahead and unlock it
- 42:50and I'm going to give you this dub. 33 points in the fourth
- 42:54quarter. I didn't even watch it.
- 42:55I just saw the box score at the end and I saw they won.
- 42:58I'm like, weren't they? You texted us like 20 and I, I
- 43:01took a screenshot because ESPN app has lied to me before.
- 43:05They've said stuff where it's like 2 point conversion failed.
- 43:07I'm like, then how did they get 8 points?
- 43:10And then I'm so all the time this stuff happens, I'm like,
- 43:12this is an error. Those 33 points get spread out
- 43:17into the quarters and you don't put them all in the fourth
- 43:19quarter. That's not where it all
- 43:20happened. And then I would just respond
- 43:22because I think I was like watching something or playing
- 43:23something. I sent it to you guys.
- 43:24I'm like, what is this? And they're like, yeah, anyway,
- 43:28I don't think the Broncos will continue that.
- 43:31I think they've got a rough path ahead of them.
- 43:34If they do, they've earned that number one spot.
- 43:37I think the Patriots are a little bit of AI.
- 43:39Don't want to say paper Tiger. I feel like that's a little
- 43:42disrespectful, but I feel like anyone good shot at them could
- 43:48like, take them out. They don't feel like solid, like
- 43:52the the Colts look solid. They don't.
- 43:54But I guess with the Patriots, I'm just maybe I'm just not
- 43:57sold. Maybe it's because their record
- 43:59was reversed last year. But the Colts, I don't have a
- 44:02good record either. That's true.
- 44:05That is true. But yeah, I think the Patriots
- 44:07have the best shot at getting it purely because of their
- 44:10schedule. What do you think Will?
- 44:12The As I mentioned, the Broncos are fragilent and they should be
- 44:16reported as such. They stopped to put the Chiefs
- 44:19twice, the Packers once and the Chargers once.
- 44:22There's and already lost the Chargers once this year.
- 44:26Now that is Chargers in Denver final game of the season.
- 44:31It's going to be a snowball. Probably going to walk away with
- 44:34that win. But you played the Chiefs twice
- 44:37starting this week. I just don't see the Broncos
- 44:41holding on to to to this record. Yes, Sir, the Raiders and
- 44:47Jaguars in there and the and the commanders.
- 44:49So they have some winnable games 8910111212 and five probably for
- 44:56that right like that's that makes sense for me Patriots, you
- 44:59play The Jets, the bank was the giants.
- 45:02So you're going to get probably 10 wins in a row and you may
- 45:06drop two one of the bills, one of the Ravens and you're going
- 45:09to win jets and dolphins to finish the season out right.
- 45:12So there's there's well I can mad 4 losses to get 17, so 13
- 45:21and four. And then the Colts, they play
- 45:24the Chiefs, Texans, Jaguars, Seahawks, Niners, Jaguars again,
- 45:29Texans again. So 4 divisional games to finish
- 45:33the season and your three are that aren't your Chiefs,
- 45:38Seahawks and Niners. All three have winning records.
- 45:42Division of games are incredibly hard.
- 45:44Colts have the hardest path to do it.
- 45:46The the Patriots have the easiest path to do it.
- 45:49Chances are we are back in an era where the AFC goes through
- 45:54Foxborough again. And that is, I know, I know.
- 45:59Just saying that just it's been a rough two years, guys.
- 46:03Been a real rough two years. The New England folks up there,
- 46:06they're only winning in basketball and hockey.
- 46:09They're not winning in football and baseball.
- 46:12I guess they won the World Series and recently, yeah,
- 46:15Boston's back. And that's unfortunate for the
- 46:17world. I taste in the Patriots if it's
- 46:19the easiest route to do it. I also think, and you even
- 46:22heard, maybe you didn't hear it, Stephane Daisy would've said
- 46:25somehow Rabel even got me to buy it, right?
- 46:28Like Stephane Diggs was a spurned man.
- 46:31He was just, I'm out here getting mine and Cardi B is, is
- 46:35that mine right on the boat. Along along with a few other
- 46:39women that he got pregnant recently.
- 46:41But yeah. On the maze with those pills,
- 46:44you know? Right, I so it's a whole it's a
- 46:48whole thing. Ray was got the boys turned
- 46:50around up there. Drake made looks like an
- 46:52absolute dog in a good way and I just the Patriots are like a
- 46:57complete team right now. And this is what happens when
- 47:00you draft offensive lineman early.
- 47:02Well at least with a team around him because you look at The Jets
- 47:05drafted Armand Membu early and that doesn't mean anything to
- 47:09The Jets. But one offensive lineman does
- 47:12not make a whole team. So.
- 47:14So it's going to be the Patriots, unfortunately.
- 47:17I'd love, I'd love to see the coach do it, but it's just not.
- 47:20It's just not the cards. So I actually I agree with most
- 47:23of what you guys said, but I disagree with which.
- 47:28I OK don't care. I know you don't.
- 47:35I'm just going to go for it. I don't.
- 47:36Care if you broke your arm? I 100% agree that it's not the
- 47:40Broncos. The Broncos are out.
- 47:42We've already, you guys have already talked about it.
- 47:44Their schedule is the toughest of all the three teams.
- 47:46Their wins, just some of them. They beat the Raiders by three,
- 47:50they beat the Texans by three, the Giants by one, The Jets by
- 47:52two. It's like those are bottom tier
- 47:54teams that you're just barely, barely beating.
- 47:57Their defense is good enough to get them the one seat, but their
- 48:00offense is not. So that's why I'm eliminating
- 48:03the Broncos. It's between the Colts and the
- 48:05Patriots. I just don't agree that it's the
- 48:07Patriots. I think it's the Colts.
- 48:09And the biggest reason why, even though their their schedule is
- 48:12harder than the Patriots schedule, the reason why is
- 48:15because they so they own the tiebreaker over the Broncos
- 48:19right now because they beat the Broncos head to head and they're
- 48:23over the Patriots because they're in conference record is
- 48:26better than the Patriots in conference record right now.
- 48:29And it's only by one game, but they still have one less loss in
- 48:32the conference than the Patriots do.
- 48:34And that's a big, big advantage for the Colts moving forward
- 48:37because they can afford to lose a game.
- 48:40They can afford to lose a game in the conference and the
- 48:42Patriots cannot. If the Patriots lose the game in
- 48:45conference, they're probably giving up the one seed.
- 48:48And if they're just lose 1 game in conference, they're probably
- 48:50giving it up. So the Colts have that
- 48:52advantage, which is why I'm picking them.
- 48:55Patriots have the Bills at home, but they go to the Ravens.
- 48:59So those are two rough games coming down the stretch here.
- 49:02So they might they might lose both of those in a row.
- 49:05It's very possible, and who knows?
- 49:07They play the Dolphins. Who knows what the Dolphins are
- 49:09going to do? They just beat the crap out of
- 49:11the Bills. Well, the Dolphins don't even
- 49:13know what they're going to do. Yeah, where the?
- 49:15Bills don't even know what happened.
- 49:17Both teams are scratching their heads right now.
- 49:20Two of the Colts toughest games are Seahawks and Niners coming
- 49:24up and those are both NFC opponents so it doesn't matter
- 49:27for the conference. Yeah, I do agree that the
- 49:29Patriots have the easiest schedule, but I just think that
- 49:32that advantage of being up a game in in conference games for
- 49:35the Colts is just going to get them just just barely put them
- 49:39over the edge and get them the one seed I like.
- 49:42Them I can't agree with that take.
- 49:44I regret my Boo. I don't regret I.
- 49:48Don't. It's OK.
- 49:49I, Yeah, you know how many, you know how many, how many people
- 49:54say stuff to me on social media? It's like the stuff that they
- 49:57say now, it doesn't even faze me.
- 49:59So I just know that they're going to just hate.
- 50:01I could say Patrick Mahomes has won three Super Bowls and they'd
- 50:03be like, you're an idiot. He hasn't won three Super Bowls.
- 50:06So you're saying you hate all the other quarterbacks, Is that
- 50:08what you're saying? Yeah, that's not what we're
- 50:14saying. He was saying he also.
- 50:15Did the Tom Brady, Tom Brady and Tom Brady, you're going to have
- 50:20to like lower the gain on that was probably really loud.
- 50:25All right, well, that's all we got time for on today's episode,
- 50:27guys. Again, I may or may not be here
- 50:29next week because my wife is having foot surgery.
- 50:32I don't know how long she's going to be out for.
- 50:34It just depends on how much stuff they have to do to her
- 50:37foot. She could be out anywhere from
- 50:39two to six weeks non weight bearing.
- 50:41So it's going to be kind of challenging.
- 50:43I don't think I'm going to miss that much time regardless, but I
- 50:46may miss next week just 'cause I got to figure some stuff out and
- 50:49see what the situation is. But if I if I'm not here, these
- 50:54guys, I'm sure these guys will put on a great show.
- 50:55I'm going to try to be here if I can.
- 50:57I'm really going to try. But Will's not going to host, by
- 51:01the way. It's it's going to be Avery, so.
- 51:03It'll be Avery. For if Joel's not here, it's
- 51:05going to be a party. I just want to let you guys know
- 51:07if you guys want to party, you guys here, that's what it will
- 51:10be. Will it sprinkle sports in
- 51:13somehow? I'm just going to get on to edit
- 51:15it and just be like what? What is?
- 51:19That's what you still got to watch it.
- 51:24Hey I. Can't use.
- 51:25I can't use any of this full hour of of stuff.
- 51:31Real quick, before we close out here, we are recording on
- 51:34veteran's day. It won't come out on veteran's
- 51:37day obviously, but we are recording on veteran's day.
- 51:39So just a huge shout out from the three of us to one of those
- 51:41in the US Armed Forces who have served and who have put their
- 51:45life on the line. So we get to sit here and they
- 51:47fart in Wiener jokes because it it, it is under appreciated and
- 51:51undervalued. But it truly does mean the world
- 51:53to us and not a single person says it enough.
- 51:55So thank you all you guys who have done their part and and
- 52:00sacrificed all so we get to have a nice comfortable life and it
- 52:03is truly truly appreciated. Thank you so much.
- 52:07And that should mean the most coming from me because I am not
- 52:09even American and I appreciate you guys so.
- 52:13He's an illegal. He's not.
- 52:16He's here legally, I guess. Yeah, whatever it says the
- 52:20government. All right, well, that's all we
- 52:23got time for on this episode, guys.
- 52:25Thank you for listening. We appreciate you.
- 52:26Please go follow us on our social media channels.
- 52:29And as always, guys, don't forget to keep your balls played
- 52:31with. We'll see you next time.
- 52:33Bang out y'all. Also, Mark Davis's haircut still
- 52:35sucks.
