- 0:08Speaker 1: Scan Advice for Sure Spice, It's time nice. Hello, Hello, Hellollo, Hello,
- 0:15Speaker 1: welcome to the nought Even I show up your host
- 0:17Speaker 1: Rob Shooter. It is Thursday, and normally every Thursday, our
- 0:21Speaker 1: dear friend Mark Lupo joins us. However, today I'm taping
- 0:24Speaker 1: the podcast at a slightly unusual time because I'm doing
- 0:28Speaker 1: all these TV for Harry and Meghan. I'm on the
- 0:30Speaker 1: morning shows on CNN, on all the different new shows,
- 0:34Speaker 1: so I'm happy to be doing that. But unfortunately it
- 0:37Speaker 1: means that our dear dear Mark Looper, who you know
- 0:40Speaker 1: I love and I know you love him too, he
- 0:42Speaker 1: can't be with us today, but he promises he will
- 0:45Speaker 1: be back next week. Okay, let's jump into the show.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Lots and lots of gossip. What time is it, my friends?
- 0:53Speaker 1: It is tea time, big developing story. At the top
- 0:58Speaker 1: of the show, we've got all the signed drama of
- 1:01Speaker 1: Prince Harry and Meghan Markles New York City paparazzi chase.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Megan and Harry supposedly had a near catastrophic and over
- 1:11Speaker 1: two hour papar arranzi chase. However, in reality, things were
- 1:16Speaker 1: maybe not quite as dramatic as their rep made out,
- 1:20Speaker 1: according to law enforcement sources, so the NYPD put out
- 1:24Speaker 1: a statement saying that cops had quote no collision reports
- 1:28Speaker 1: or nine one one calls were made, which has put
- 1:32Speaker 1: the statement that Harry's publicist made into serious question. The
- 1:37Speaker 1: sources note that two uniformed officers were near missed by
- 1:42Speaker 1: the paparazzi as Harry, Meghan, and her mom left Ziggfeld
- 1:46Speaker 1: Theater in Midtown Manhattan. A source told the Post around
- 1:51Speaker 1: ten pm nine fifty the couple were leaving an award show.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Meghan was awarded the Woman of Vision award. So they
- 2:00Speaker 1: left in their car flanked by both a private security
- 2:03Speaker 1: card and a police car. Now, Harry and Meghan wanted
- 2:06Speaker 1: to return to a private residence on the Upper east Side.
- 2:09Speaker 1: They were not staying at a hotel that were staying.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I had a private residence, not theirs. They were borrowing
- 2:13Speaker 1: a place from a friend where they stayed the night.
- 2:16Speaker 1: But they were apparently hindered by a quote significant press
- 2:21Speaker 1: presence that followed them from the venue. So we're told
- 2:25Speaker 1: about twelve photographers, maybe as few as four followed them.
- 2:29Speaker 1: What happened is at the event that press were invited to,
- 2:32Speaker 1: they did not walk the red carpet. In fact, they
- 2:35Speaker 1: went in through the back door to the venue was
- 2:37Speaker 1: actually a Hurtz Renter car dealership, so they entered through
- 2:42Speaker 1: the back. They refused to do any press, it's their prerogative.
- 2:46Speaker 1: And then they left and the photographers got annoyed that
- 2:49Speaker 1: they were waiting two hours. And then a few of
- 2:51Speaker 1: them might have followed them, but reports are now saying
- 2:53Speaker 1: it was only about four or five six of them.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Somehow during this chase, they ended up the nineteenth Precinct
- 3:02Speaker 1: on the Upper East Side, and then they got into
- 3:05Speaker 1: a taxi cabs. They got out of their car into
- 3:08Speaker 1: a taxi cab, and now the taxi drivers talking about them,
- 3:12Speaker 1: saying they seemed like really nice people, but they didn't
- 3:15Speaker 1: really say anything. Quote, they didn't really seemed scared, but
- 3:20Speaker 1: they looked nervous. And then he said six paparazzi came
- 3:23Speaker 1: out of nowhere. This is the taxi driver. But they
- 3:26Speaker 1: did leave him a big tip, so that's a nice thing.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I think the trip was about sixteen seventeen dollars and
- 3:30Speaker 1: they left him fifty so that's a good thing there.
- 3:33Speaker 1: What has happened here, this is story has exploded. When
- 3:36Speaker 1: we first heard that Harry and Meghan were nearly in
- 3:39Speaker 1: a catastrophic accident, obviously we had flashbacks to Princess Diana,
- 3:46Speaker 1: the tragic way that she passed away. But then as
- 3:49Speaker 1: the day went on, the police put out a statement
- 3:52Speaker 1: that really really suggested that what Harry and Meghan's pr
- 3:57Speaker 1: people were saying simply wasn't true. And so now the
- 4:03Speaker 1: couple has been pulled into this really ugly awful situation
- 4:08Speaker 1: where they're being doubted was their narrative false. I hit
- 4:11Speaker 1: the phones. What's going on here is my sources tell
- 4:13Speaker 1: me he's traumatized about what happened to his mom, traumatized
- 4:17Speaker 1: about it. In fact, he said in an interview, every
- 4:20Speaker 1: time he hears a camera, he thinks about his mom,
- 4:23Speaker 1: and so he absolutely is triggered by this. So I
- 4:26Speaker 1: think Harry felt as if he was in danger, as
- 4:29Speaker 1: if he was being hunted, as if the paparazzi were
- 4:32Speaker 1: chasing him like his mother, And he told his publicist that,
- 4:35Speaker 1: and his publicist told the world. Now the police has
- 4:37Speaker 1: put out a statement saying everybody got home fine. Yes
- 4:40Speaker 1: it was a little chaotic, but they're huge stars. New
- 4:43Speaker 1: York is used to this. We've got Taylor Swift in town,
- 4:45Speaker 1: We've got Beyonce in town. They do get chased by
- 4:48Speaker 1: paparazzi often when this happens. I've been in cars with
- 4:52Speaker 1: Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson did a you slow down, you
- 4:55Speaker 1: don't speed up, You slow down, and you let them
- 4:57Speaker 1: take a picture. After all and Harry were at an event.
- 5:01Speaker 1: She was in full hair and makeup. She looked gorgeous
- 5:03Speaker 1: in this gold dress. I would have taken pictures at
- 5:07Speaker 1: the event. I would have taken a picture if somebody
- 5:09Speaker 1: followed me in the car, and then I would have
- 5:11Speaker 1: gone home. I'm not sure I would have drove around
- 5:14Speaker 1: Manhattan for two hours, jumping in and out of taxis,
- 5:17Speaker 1: jumping into a police station. Just go to the event
- 5:21Speaker 1: and go home. And if this is all too stressful
- 5:23Speaker 1: for you, and it might be, I have a suggestion,
- 5:25Speaker 1: stop going to events. Don't do it. If it's triggering you,
- 5:30Speaker 1: don't go, Megan, go by yourself. Don't take Harry to
- 5:34Speaker 1: these events. They obviously are really upsetting to him. And
- 5:37Speaker 1: I'm trying to be as compassionate as I can hear,
- 5:40Speaker 1: but there's something so weird, so wrong, about this story,
- 5:43Speaker 1: and now I'm afraid Harry's going to be the boy
- 5:46Speaker 1: that cried wolf. Whatever we hear from their publicists again,
- 5:50Speaker 1: we're going to be like, did that really happen. I
- 5:52Speaker 1: knew when this story broke something was up. At first
- 5:56Speaker 1: I read the headline, I said, holy moly, they were
- 5:58Speaker 1: nearly in a crash. They were chased by paparazzi. But
- 6:01Speaker 1: then when I read the story and they said that
- 6:04Speaker 1: they were chased for two hours. Manhattan has cameras everywhere.
- 6:10Speaker 1: If there was a car chase in Manhattan for two hours,
- 6:12Speaker 1: would have footage of it. As somebody, a police source
- 6:16Speaker 1: told me, at that time of night, they could have
- 6:18Speaker 1: gone to the Hamptons in two hours, like they could
- 6:20Speaker 1: have been chased all the way to the Hamptons. There's
- 6:22Speaker 1: no way you can be in a chase in Manhattan
- 6:25Speaker 1: for two hours. You can't be in one for ten minutes.
- 6:27Speaker 1: If you've ever been here, you know the traffic and
- 6:29Speaker 1: the traffic lights. You barely move. So there's something so
- 6:33Speaker 1: odd about this. And I fear now everyone's going to
- 6:36Speaker 1: say that Harry exaggerates, he doesn't tell the truth. We
- 6:38Speaker 1: can't trust him. Next time they put out a statement.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Are they believable? It's just a big, big mess. So
- 6:44Speaker 1: what started off as an uncomfortable evening has now turned
- 6:48Speaker 1: into a real pr crisis for Harry and Meghan. Hey,
- 6:52Speaker 1: let's go to our pole question of the day. I
- 6:53Speaker 1: want to know what you think about this. So now
- 6:56Speaker 1: the police are saying that there is no way Harry
- 6:59Speaker 1: and Meghan were in a two hour car chase in
- 7:03Speaker 1: Manhattan and nothing anywhere getting close to quote nea catastrophic occurred.
- 7:10Speaker 1: In fact, the police are reporting there were no collisions
- 7:13Speaker 1: and there were zero calls of nine one one if
- 7:16Speaker 1: they were being chased by the police. So my question
- 7:19Speaker 1: is can we believe Meghan and Harry anymore? Oh? Hey,
- 7:25Speaker 1: go vote on our Twitter page at Naughty Nice Rob
- 7:28Speaker 1: at Facebook page Naughty Gossip and be sure to check
- 7:31Speaker 1: back tomorrow to hear your results. Hey, never get along.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Taylor Lautner, Oh, he's so cute. Remember him from the
- 7:40Speaker 1: Twilight movies. He's praying for John Mayer as ex Taylor
- 7:45Speaker 1: Swift re releases. Speak now. Taylor considers himself safe ahead
- 7:52Speaker 1: of his ex girlfriend Taylor Swift's re release, but he's
- 7:56Speaker 1: not so sure about John Mayer. He gushed, quote, I
- 8:00Speaker 1: think it's a great album. I feel safe, And then
- 8:04Speaker 1: jokingly he said, praying for John. So now Taylor is
- 8:08Speaker 1: married to a registered nurse, Tay Taylor. That's cute Taylor
- 8:13Speaker 1: and Tay, But he's referencing John, who dated Taylor between
- 8:17Speaker 1: two thousand and nine and two thousand and ten. So
- 8:21Speaker 1: while back in December, That's the song was wildly considered
- 8:26Speaker 1: to be an apology to Taylor Lortner John, That's another
- 8:31Speaker 1: song is thought of as a scathing song about her
- 8:35Speaker 1: short lived romance with John Mayer. In return, John Mayer
- 8:40Speaker 1: is speculated to have also written a song about about
- 8:43Speaker 1: Taylor called paper Doll, which he admitted ten years later
- 8:47Speaker 1: was a quote, bitchy move. What do you think about
- 8:50Speaker 1: all this? Are you still into all these songs? These
- 8:53Speaker 1: these easter eggs that Taylor drops? I am. I love
- 8:56Speaker 1: all this stuff. Although it's so long ago, wasn't it
- 8:59Speaker 1: still talking about an X from two thousand and nine,
- 9:02Speaker 1: twenty ten? That's twenty three years ago. Taylor. If you're
- 9:08Speaker 1: listening gilooloolo, take your own advice. Shake it off. Shake
- 9:13Speaker 1: it off. You're in a new romance. You're very happy
- 9:16Speaker 1: with Mattie, we've seen you all over New York. If
- 9:18Speaker 1: your new boyfriend, why are we still talking about your ex? Now?
- 9:22Speaker 1: I know the swifts don't come at me. I know
- 9:25Speaker 1: they're going to say it's because she's re releasing her music,
- 9:27Speaker 1: which she sort of had to do because it got
- 9:29Speaker 1: sold to somebody else, lots of copyright issues, so she's
- 9:32Speaker 1: re recording it. So maybe that's the reason. But it
- 9:35Speaker 1: must be tricky to go back and revisit a song
- 9:38Speaker 1: over twenty three years ago. And I wonder if you
- 9:41Speaker 1: care about it as much now as you did then
- 9:45Speaker 1: probably not. Hey, some breaking news. The Real Housewives of
- 9:49Speaker 1: New Jersey has been put on pause amid the drama
- 9:53Speaker 1: between Teresa and Melissa Gorga. So Page six is exclusively
- 9:58Speaker 1: reporting that the show has been put on pause. They
- 10:01Speaker 1: did that for New York. It's never a good sign
- 10:03Speaker 1: when they put the show on polls they're in a
- 10:05Speaker 1: lot of trouble and normally the whole cast gets fired.
- 10:08Speaker 1: So multiple sources are telling Page six that Teresa and
- 10:11Speaker 1: her sister in law Melissa are now so estranged that
- 10:16Speaker 1: the show has had to stop for a little bit
- 10:19Speaker 1: while Bram figures out what are they going to do next.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Page six is told that they're not going to proceed
- 10:25Speaker 1: with the current show under the current conditions, and that
- 10:29Speaker 1: nobody has been offered a contract to come back. But
- 10:32Speaker 1: also too, let's point out, nobody has been fired. What
- 10:35Speaker 1: people don't realize with the Real Housewives is their contracts
- 10:38Speaker 1: are only per year, just one year contract. You could
- 10:41Speaker 1: get fired after every single season, which is why the
- 10:45Speaker 1: ladies fight so hard at their reunions to keep their jobs.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Or the ladies fought very hard on this reunion, but
- 10:52Speaker 1: maybe they fought a little bit too hard because now
- 10:55Speaker 1: Teresa and Melissa are so strange they can't even be
- 10:58Speaker 1: in the same room together alone in the taper show.
- 11:02Speaker 1: So at this time, no date has been set for
- 11:05Speaker 1: production to begin season fourteen. Sources are telling Page six
- 11:10Speaker 1: that many people are wondering what's going to happen. Some
- 11:13Speaker 1: of the ladies have started to plan their summer vacations
- 11:16Speaker 1: because they're not going to be filming, And some of
- 11:18Speaker 1: the ladies are really worried because this is how they
- 11:20Speaker 1: make their money, this is what makes them famous. They
- 11:22Speaker 1: don't want it to end, but it is now so
- 11:25Speaker 1: toxic that changes have to be made. You know. I've
- 11:29Speaker 1: been clear about the Housewives on our podcast. I used
- 11:32Speaker 1: to love it. Now it makes me feel a little,
- 11:35Speaker 1: a little dirty, a little like creepy. It's so mean.
- 11:39Speaker 1: It's so toxic. That's the word. It's so toxic. But
- 11:42Speaker 1: would we watch them if they were all happy and smiling?
- 11:45Speaker 1: Maybe not. But there's a balance, isn't there. We don't
- 11:47Speaker 1: have to go to extremes here at the minute. It's
- 11:49Speaker 1: one extreme. It could go to the other extreme and
- 11:52Speaker 1: be a bit boring. You can be dare I say
- 11:56Speaker 1: naughty but nice? There you go, Bravo. I give that
- 12:00Speaker 1: to you. Moving along talking about naughty that some people
- 12:05Speaker 1: thought was nice. Johnny depth received a seven minute standing
- 12:09Speaker 1: ovation and they Can Film Festival despite backlash. Johnny received
- 12:14Speaker 1: a seven minute standing ovation that this year's Can Film
- 12:18Speaker 1: Festival despite the backlash over his appearance. Johnny held back
- 12:23Speaker 1: tears as he waved to the applauding audience from the
- 12:27Speaker 1: balcony inside the Grand Theater Levier. I've been inside that theater.
- 12:32Speaker 1: It's the one that has the steps that go into
- 12:35Speaker 1: it and they're normally covered in a red carpet. You've
- 12:37Speaker 1: seen it a million times. So outside the theater. Thousands
- 12:41Speaker 1: of fans showed up in the south of France to
- 12:45Speaker 1: support him with signs requests, but not everybody was pleased
- 12:49Speaker 1: to see him there. The out in marks the Oscar
- 12:54Speaker 1: nominees first public appearance since his highly publicized defamation try
- 13:00Speaker 1: against his ex Amber Herd, who accused him of abuse.
- 13:04Speaker 1: The jury sided mostly in Johnny's favor last summer, but
- 13:08Speaker 1: Ambers Powells still have her back. Her close friend Eve Barlow,
- 13:13Speaker 1: who's a journalist who now lives in Spain, blasted those
- 13:17Speaker 1: in charge of the event for quote their history of
- 13:20Speaker 1: supporting rapists and abusers and started the hashtag cans You're
- 13:27Speaker 1: not hey quickly before we get a break. The Bachelor
- 13:32Speaker 1: has announced it's very first senior citizen season. ABC has
- 13:38Speaker 1: finally announced that Bachelor Nation is welcoming another spin off,
- 13:42Speaker 1: and this time it's going to have senior citizens. So
- 13:45Speaker 1: we're gonna call this the Golden Bachelor. They like the
- 13:47Speaker 1: Golden Girls. The Golden Bachelor. It's going to premiere in
- 13:50Speaker 1: the fall, and it's going to focus on one lucky
- 13:53Speaker 1: older gentleman an age appropriate female suitors. I'm glad that
- 13:58Speaker 1: they made that very clear, becuse I don't want household
- 14:00Speaker 1: full of twenty one year old girls, and so they're
- 14:03Speaker 1: all going to be age appropriant suitors who are competing
- 14:07Speaker 1: for love. In a press release, the reality series is
- 14:11Speaker 1: described as a quote whole new kind of love story,
- 14:16Speaker 1: one for the golden years. The network describes a mature
- 14:20Speaker 1: gentleman as a quote hopeless romantic who will be given
- 14:24Speaker 1: a second chance of love in the search of a
- 14:26Speaker 1: partner with whom to share the sunlight years of their lives. Oh,
- 14:32Speaker 1: it sounds lovely. I'm down for this. I really I'm
- 14:36Speaker 1: a little over The Bachelor, the Bachelorette, but this sounds
- 14:39Speaker 1: really really fun. Love love It's not just for the young,
- 14:44Speaker 1: it's for all of us. I say, Sam, Hey, we're
- 14:49Speaker 1: going to take a quick break and we will be
- 14:51Speaker 1: right back. Welcome Max. They're not even nice, shall Rob Shooter? Hey,
- 14:55Speaker 1: let's get to the pills. Yesterday we talked about all
- 15:03Speaker 1: the shocking moments on the Britney Spears's documentary. Our question
- 15:08Speaker 1: was should we leave Britney alone? Is it time to
- 15:13Speaker 1: leave Britney alone. She's not making music, she's not on
- 15:16Speaker 1: the stage, she's not being public and factually, very very
- 15:19Speaker 1: rarely leaves the house, which was one of the points
- 15:21Speaker 1: of the documentary. Should we leave her alone? Let's have
- 15:24Speaker 1: a log? Oh wow? Eighty seven percent said yes, leave
- 15:28Speaker 1: Britney Spears alone. I'm going to listen to that. We're
- 15:31Speaker 1: going to do less Brittany on this show unless it's real,
- 15:34Speaker 1: real breaking news. Don't forget to vote on today's pole
- 15:38Speaker 1: going to our Twitter page at Naughty Nice rob our
- 15:41Speaker 1: facebook page is not yours. I'm sure to come back
- 15:46Speaker 1: tomorrow to hear your results. And now it's time for
- 15:51Speaker 1: our nicest of the day. Beyonce is teasing a new
- 15:56Speaker 1: haircare line, saying I can't wait. She teased that she's
- 16:00Speaker 1: in the process of creating a hair care collection in
- 16:03Speaker 1: honor of her mommy, Tina Tina Knowles, who owned a
- 16:07Speaker 1: popular hair salon in Houston, Texas in the nineties. Beyonce
- 16:11Speaker 1: wrote on Instagram, quote, how many of you are knew
- 16:15Speaker 1: my first job was sweeping hair in my mama's salon.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Oh I love it. Destiny's child God as start by
- 16:23Speaker 1: performing for clients while they were getting their hair done.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Beyonce added that she was exposed to so many different
- 16:30Speaker 1: kinds of entrepreneurial women in her mom's hair salon. She
- 16:34Speaker 1: concluded by saying, having learned so much on my hair journey,
- 16:39Speaker 1: that's true. I've always dreamed of carrying on her legacy,
- 16:43Speaker 1: her mom's legacy. I can't wait for you to experience
- 16:47Speaker 1: what I am creating. Along with her message, Beyonce shared
- 16:51Speaker 1: a mirror picture of herself curling her hair while sitting
- 16:55Speaker 1: at her white vanity filled with bottles of what a
- 17:00Speaker 1: to Be oils and lotions with homemade labels on them.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Maybe these are prototypes of what Beyonce is cooking up.
- 17:08Speaker 1: I love love this and nicest of the day, and
- 17:12Speaker 1: now I'm naughtyous of the day, naughty, naughty, naughty. So
- 17:16Speaker 1: Disney's New Little Mermaid might contain a dig at Kate Middleton.
- 17:21Speaker 1: A reviewer who has seen an early screening of the
- 17:23Speaker 1: Disney remake of the classic The Little Mermaid tells page
- 17:27Speaker 1: six that there appears to be a dig at Kate
- 17:29Speaker 1: Middleton in the new film. A number of subtle, y
- 17:32Speaker 1: applausible comparisons can be made between Meg and Markle, Prince
- 17:37Speaker 1: Harry and The Little Mermaid, and Prince Eric so Ariel,
- 17:42Speaker 1: who is black in the new version, and Prince Eric,
- 17:45Speaker 1: who is white, is the same as Meghan and Harry.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Sources also go on to say that Ariel has sacrificed
- 17:52Speaker 1: her voice in order to get to the surface and
- 17:55Speaker 1: meet her Prince. She can't speak, so he has to
- 17:58Speaker 1: try and guess her name. In the film Prince Eric,
- 18:02Speaker 1: his first guess of her name is Diana Oh strange.
- 18:07Speaker 1: His second guess is Katherine Oh. But after Ariel gives
- 18:12Speaker 1: him a disgusted reaction, he concludes, quote Okay, definitely not
- 18:18Speaker 1: a Catherine. Needless to say, Diana is the name of
- 18:22Speaker 1: Prince Harry's late mother, and Catherine is the full name
- 18:26Speaker 1: of his sister in law, Kate Middleton. Now you might
- 18:30Speaker 1: remember in twenty twenty one, in an interview with Oprah Winfrey,
- 18:35Speaker 1: Markle herself said she identified as the Mermaid. She said, quote,
- 18:39Speaker 1: oh my god, she falls in love with the prince
- 18:43Speaker 1: and because of that she loses her voice or Disney,
- 18:47Speaker 1: this is naughty, naughty, naughty. Let's end with a moment
- 18:50Speaker 1: of rob. You get a rob, You gotta rob, you
- 18:52Speaker 1: get a rob. Start talking to yourself like you are
- 18:55Speaker 1: talking to the most important person in your life, because
- 18:59Speaker 1: you are you are the most important person in your life.
- 19:05Speaker 1: And remember this, if you wouldn't say it to somebody
- 19:08Speaker 1: you love, if you wouldn't say something cruel to somebody
- 19:12Speaker 1: you loved, what the hell are you saying it to yourself? Hey?
- 19:17Speaker 1: That is it for today. Thank you so much for
- 19:19Speaker 1: listening so they're not have been nice with rub Shower
- 19:22Speaker 1: production of Iheartradios. Thank you Noughties for being the co hosts.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Don't forget to subscribe on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts,
- 19:29Speaker 1: wherever you listen, leave us a review if you can.
- 19:31Speaker 1: They really do help. And remember, come on altogether. Now,
- 19:34Speaker 1: if you're going to be naughty, you've got to be
- 19:39Speaker 1: take care of everybody. It's not even nice with Rob
