- 0:01Speaker 1: So I'm so glad you could join me again.
- 0:04Speaker 1: I'm always so excited when you join us for a Kingdom Mentor podcast episode, whether it's live on camera or you're listening some week later.
- 0:14Speaker 1: We're really passionate about our voice here at the Kingdom Mentor podcast and love to share great voices and marketing stuff.
- 0:22Speaker 1: So will you please help me welcome Ferris C, co-founder of Girl Power Alliance and also the heartbeat behind the media.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Now I gotta tell you this, ferris, like I came into Girl Power Alliance last February by Molly and kind of just had to weed through the stuff and I kept seeing this name, ferris, behind this amazing marketing stuff.
- 0:46Speaker 1: I'm like dang, who is this girl?
- 0:48Speaker 1: She's good, you don't have to know marketing to work this business.
- 0:52Speaker 1: And there you are, and last October I got to meet you in person.
- 0:57Speaker 1: That was a treat.
- 0:58Speaker 1: It's like you know, going into the speaker academy and there she is behind the scenes taking pictures, monitoring the video, monitoring everything.
- 1:06Speaker 1: And I think you were the one I got up there and I had a fuzzy sound and you're like wait, we got to stop it because I was being recorded.
- 1:12Speaker 1: So, ferris, it is so awesome to have you here, girl, I'm so happy that you could join us.
- 1:18Speaker 2: I'm so glad that I'm here and thank you so much for all the kind words.
- 1:23Speaker 2: I literally meeting you, I was just like, oh, I was like I need a Teresa in my life.
- 1:31Speaker 1: So you got me, girl, you got me.
- 1:35Speaker 1: You know I said Girl Power Alliance and marketing, but you're amazing wife and you're an amazing daughter, ferris.
- 1:42Speaker 1: You guys like put her daughter to work to learn the ins and out, really, of marketplace and what it means that her mom is doing with Girl Power Alliance.
- 1:52Speaker 1: That was impactful for all of us.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Did you notice that?
- 1:55Speaker 1: The impact of your daughter and the way you led her and the way she was just to go get her, I think that impact all of us because most of us were moms were like oh, that is so good.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Sorry, my cat wants to join us.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Let's go ahead.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Go ahead, say hi to Ferris.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Okay, guys, you know what it is.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Just so you know, your voice carries a cadence and my cat seems to like people that I like and then he wants to go.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Hey, I digress.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Okay, ferris, tell us a little bit about yourself.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Maybe your journey into I mean your journey into marketing, maybe that's what would be a good place.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I'm just fascinated.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I know there's other journeys in your life.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Yeah, gosh, it's, it's nothing but a God calling you, don't?
- 2:39Speaker 2: You don't really, I think for me, you don't really understand why you're learning certain things along the way, because you're not really sure how they're going to be used or utilized later on in life.
- 2:53Speaker 2: And all all of the years of experience that I've had in customer service, all the years I've had around technology and just being really kind of that one-on-one and doing all those things in the details it's all the small things in the details and it really led me, you know, to GPA and I'm one of those people that if I don't know how to do something, I'm going to figure it out, I'm going to figure it out.
- 3:21Speaker 2: I'm going to somehow, some way, it is not going to ever overcome me and I will definitely, you know, go down that route.
- 3:30Speaker 2: And so it's over 20 plus years in customer service.
- 3:34Speaker 2: It was definitely, you know, knowing what people are looking for, what is going to definitely peak their interest, something that is going to be new and fresh is is super important, and so with all of that it's coming into GPA.
- 3:52Speaker 2: When I first started it's, you know, I just I just wanted to help, anyway I could, and that was just a little bit of here, a little bit of that, like it wasn't really what it is now.
- 4:04Speaker 2: And as it evolved.
- 4:05Speaker 2: It was like oh gosh, like I worked with this person.
- 4:09Speaker 2: So that I could know this and, oh, I worked with this person for a short amount of time that used this.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Well, I already know how to do that so it's, it's.
- 4:19Speaker 2: it's pretty surreal to be like, wow, like it almost puts that perspective of you know, people are only in your life for a season, it may not be forever, and all those seasons that I had with different people throughout the years.
- 4:35Speaker 2: All of that has culminated to using all of that here inside of our lines.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Yeah, did you.
- 4:43Speaker 1: What was your journey like before?
- 4:45Speaker 1: What was your journey before Girl Power Lines?
- 4:48Speaker 1: And then, what was the ticking, the tipping point, to go all in with Girl Power and help them as a co-founder.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Yes, I worked at a wedding chapel here.
- 4:59Speaker 2: I live in Las Vegas, so okay.
- 5:01Speaker 2: So all the flashing lights.
- 5:05Speaker 2: So I worked at a chapel and I was the assistant manager at a very, very well known old chapel here in town.
- 5:13Speaker 1: And it's.
- 5:14Speaker 2: you know, I I never thought that I would ever be able to do that.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I never thought that I would kind of go into entrepreneurship.
- 5:19Speaker 2: It was never something.
- 5:21Speaker 2: I always told myself yeah, I'm going to work a nine to five and, you know, maybe get a retirement and that's just how I'm going to live my life.
- 5:28Speaker 2: And it wasn't really anything I was super passionate about.
- 5:32Speaker 2: But when I was at my job I did my very, very best and I gave it everything that I could.
- 5:41Speaker 2: It may not necessarily been my dream, and we talk a lot about how your dreamer is turned off here at Girl Power Lines, and that was for sure the case for me.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I didn't really have dreams of what I wanted to be and what I wanted to aspire to and like, oh, this is just a stepping stone to that.
- 6:01Speaker 2: So I just kind of was going through the motions and you know, when COVID happened and I was talking about it.
- 6:12Speaker 2: But for me it was so pivotal, sure, what I was being prepared for and I, you know, I was the first to be let go when everything shut down.
- 6:26Speaker 2: I was like, okay, either one I can sit here and kind of wait and just be like, okay, well, I can't wait till I go back, or I can do something completely different.
- 6:39Speaker 2: And I definitely I knew God really put me in that position because, number one, I needed to get closer to him.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Okay, I walked away a little bit, not that he wasn't there, but I had definitely just kind of flew by the seat of my pants.
- 6:56Speaker 2: I wasn't really in the word, I wasn't really praying as much as I should have, I was just kind of doing the do.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Sure, I really felt that he yanked me from that and was like okay, now we're going to place you and you know, meet Michelle, and it was from a friend of mine and she was like, yeah, she's like you know, maybe you could help her with some things, and I'm like I'm not doing anything.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Might as well.
- 7:25Speaker 2: We will do some admin stuff or we'll do a little social media or you know, just kind of see what happens.
- 7:32Speaker 2: And it just continued to evolve and the more and more I built this relationship with Michelle and she was like yeah, she's like you're.
- 7:42Speaker 2: She's like this is this is what you're going to do.
- 7:46Speaker 2: She's like this is what I see.
- 7:47Speaker 2: She was like this is what I see for you and I'm like, I'm like I don't see that and it's, it's turned into.
- 7:56Speaker 2: You know what it is now.
- 7:58Speaker 2: It's kind of it's, it's pretty, it's possible.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I love how God pulls us out of just existing.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I mean, so often, when we get to that struggle, that season, we're just going to exist instead of go out and live.
- 8:10Speaker 1: And I love this story because it really was Michelle who called out the gold in you.
- 8:16Speaker 1: She has a way of doing that, doesn't she?
- 8:18Speaker 1: And there like no, you're going to come along with us.
- 8:22Speaker 1: And of course, you get around the community, a girl power alliance, and what ends up turns out?
- 8:28Speaker 1: You just find your season and you realize your season is so connected to your relationship with God.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You really can't do one without the other.
- 8:36Speaker 1: So that's awesome.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I was pretty beat down.
- 8:40Speaker 2: I was pretty beat down when I met Michelle and you know it's it's pretty, it's pretty incredible.
- 8:46Speaker 2: I had a lot of growth that I had to go through.
- 8:49Speaker 2: I I definitely had to push, push myself to, you know, get out of a mindset that I wasn't good enough and I really carried her belief in me for a really long time and you know I went through through the steps of growth and went through a Radiation Leadership Academy multiple times and did courses and now being on the back end.
- 9:15Speaker 2: I see all this stuff yeah, being fully submersed into it is is crucial.
- 9:24Speaker 1: So it's you know, I had I, she definitely.
- 9:28Speaker 2: You know.
- 9:28Speaker 2: We met at a time where God was like, yeah, you're gonna, you're gonna need to carry a little belief to get you to where.
- 9:34Speaker 2: I need you to be forever, forever grateful for that.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Yeah, so Ferris is talking about our CEO, michelle Schaefer.
- 9:41Speaker 1: She was on one of our podcasts.
- 9:43Speaker 1: You got to check that.
- 9:43Speaker 1: But I got my own honest story, ferris.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I joined in February and I kind of slipped through the cracks.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Molly brought me in but no one really pushed me to Radiation Leadership Academy.
- 9:55Speaker 1: I did push myself to the speaker Academy because I was interested in that.
- 9:58Speaker 1: So this is what I was gonna do.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Honest again, this I was going to just step away quietly after, yeah, speaker Academy because I heard I kind of mentioned it to Molly but Mama Molly gave me that pep talk.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Well, I can't convince you now.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I'm not gonna keep convincing.
- 10:15Speaker 1: You know, right straight to the point.
- 10:17Speaker 1: It's like okay.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Then I think it was the second day I went up to Michelle and I said, michelle, I'm see, I started to see Michelle on stage and we went into the conference and I saw, like Michelle Tufford, I'm like these are the people I'm supposed to be aligned with.
- 10:33Speaker 1: But anyway, michelle, I came up to Michelle and right away blew me away with her kindness, because I'd only seen her excuse my voice, I'd only seen her on camera, right, and the way she welcomed me, I mean she really, really welcomed me and had the girls praying for me, but anyway.
- 10:51Speaker 1: So I looked at her and I said I need to work, I need to, I need to go ahead and work this business.
- 10:56Speaker 1: I said but I don't have anyone excuse expression above me as my trainer, as my coach.
- 11:01Speaker 1: She looked at me.
- 11:03Speaker 1: She goes who do you want?
- 11:04Speaker 1: I said, michelle Tufford.
- 11:05Speaker 1: She goes, give me 30 minutes.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Came back, you got it.
- 11:07Speaker 1: You don't just get, you don't just get placed under who you want to get placed.
- 11:11Speaker 1: But then you went into activate Ferris and you know how your your heart says wait a minute.
- 11:18Speaker 1: This, these are the people I want to be aligned with you know the the Michelle's, the, the Ferris's, the lemons, that all the people that got up on stage.
- 11:28Speaker 1: You're like whoa, okay, and I had a speaking business.
- 11:32Speaker 1: And then, as I came home and I went all in, I'm like what was I thinking?
- 11:36Speaker 1: This fits right in dog with my speaking business.
- 11:39Speaker 1: So I'm just giving testimony we both are to Michelle Schaefer, who's you know, really just gives her all out for these ladies.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Once you meet her and she knows your name, you're her friend forever and sometimes you need that.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Do you agree with that little testimony?
- 11:58Speaker 2: I, it's so funny that you say that, because there were so many moments where you know I had kind of heard from Molly with you and you're like yeah, you know I have this thing afterwards or I have this going on, and I was like, no, just give her another day.
- 12:16Speaker 2: You heard her day here letter gets immersed inside, you see, and it's.
- 12:22Speaker 2: I talked, I talked to so many people about it and you know it's.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Michelle is definitely the vessel right.
- 12:31Speaker 2: You know she's a messenger for the big message and you know she's really kind of paved this way for all of us and it's.
- 12:39Speaker 2: It's such a beautiful thing to take what you have and be like wait.
- 12:44Speaker 2: It matches with this and it's so aligned and you know it's.
- 12:50Speaker 2: We've had so many of those aha moments and I like to call it the GPA bubble, and don't be confused with the cult, because that's not what we are when you're in it, you you feel it and you feel different and you feel seen and you feel appreciated and you take that and you carry that out into the rest of the world and you know that there's no ego and there's nothing that's going to stop you, because you have so many people that are going to pull you out of your mess and say hey like don't forget.
- 13:26Speaker 2: You know who you are and why you're here, and what your true purpose is here, and I think that's so, so important and so needed in this time, and it's so beautiful to hear that you know, you felt that.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Yes, oh my gosh has to do with your growth and where you're at in your journey.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Some people may not get it right away.
- 13:48Speaker 2: One thing I have noticed over the years is that sometimes growth is it's a little scary for people because you gotta do yeah, gotta release some things, and it can be painful to accept certain things and say you know, maybe I need to shed that.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Yeah, look into that a little bit more and it can be a painful process, but it's such a beautiful outcome on the other side.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Once you're in it, I mean you really don't want to go anywhere else and you just, you know, you keep going back into that and I know that if I'm not submerged and I mean, yes, I'm a co-founder, yes, I'm, you know all of this, but you can get disconnected and when you're not merged you it's, I feel it.
- 14:39Speaker 2: I go, yeah, no, I need to get on these calls.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Yeah, some good counsel, yeah, some people I had a few ladies call me yesterday.
- 14:49Speaker 2: They're like, hey, I haven't heard from you and you've been on my heart and I'm like, well, I have a story for you.
- 14:55Speaker 2: It's so good to, that's good, sure that you, you have that and it's yeah it's it's so good because each of us have something just a little bit different.
- 15:08Speaker 2: We have one goal right, yeah, something a little bit different to bring to the table.
- 15:14Speaker 2: That's gonna continue the push and pushing that boundary and you know I said it activate.
- 15:20Speaker 2: I feel that you broke something open that had been sealed.
- 15:25Speaker 2: You know it literally shattered.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Yeah, you know these, these demons are fleeing.
- 15:35Speaker 1: They're like, yeah, who I felt it to making money?
- 15:38Speaker 1: A spiritual warfare girl.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Let me tell you, we kick some butts in there.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I gotta tell you this I got some therapy on this subject but I thought finding your people was a myth.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I read this book by Jenny Allen, had to stop halfway through because I'm like I don't, this is just not real.
- 15:54Speaker 1: And then I entered the, the realm of kingdom, with girl power Alliance and I'm like, oh, I think I found my people and I like I said I had some therapy.
- 16:05Speaker 1: And, speaking of therapy, I didn't go to Radiant Leisure Academy because I didn't know it was there.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I kind of did okay, and I didn't have anyone to push me.
- 16:13Speaker 1: But I will say I can look back and say, wow, god, you just worked this out.
- 16:17Speaker 1: I did.
- 16:17Speaker 1: I lost my husband in June and it was a rough marriage because I threw up the first Radiant Speaker practice and I needed, like, I needed like one-on-one.
- 16:27Speaker 1: And I found a neuropsychophysicist and she became my best friend, alana van de Venter, and week after week we're talking just one-on-one, making me pull out.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Trauma stays in your body.
- 16:38Speaker 1: I'm sure the Radiant Leisure Academy, you could get that, but I, I think at my particular time.
- 16:43Speaker 1: I needed that one-on-one and if I would have gone into Radiant Leader Academy, I think I would have not found the help and not found like a really an amazing woman who celebrates you and who speaks into your life and then just becomes a friend.
- 16:59Speaker 2: So you know, god works everything out, that's for sure what would you say to someone I can relate to that for sure, yeah, some deeper work to get rid of those, those deep rooted things and I think that's for the long time I it's.
- 17:21Speaker 2: I think a lot of women sometimes feel like, oh well, I'm not going to fit in, oh, because she looks this way or she acts this way, or her appearance is this way.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Maybe her influence is bigger than mine, and that was something that I kind of struggled with in the beginning of GPA, because I'm like OK, who am I?
- 17:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Who am I?
- 17:42Speaker 2: I feel like I have all this baggage.
- 17:44Speaker 2: I have all this trauma.
- 17:46Speaker 2: I have all these stories that I've told myself.
- 17:49Speaker 2: And the more and more we started to grow and the more I started to grow and let go of those things and change generations, to come for my family and break chains and all of this stuff, I realized that there's a lot of women that are like me and their stories are just a little bit different.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:12Speaker 2: But I think sometimes we can tend to feel like we're all alone.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Yes, we don't endure certain pain.
- 18:20Speaker 2: You may see somebody on the outside and say, oh well, look at them.
- 18:24Speaker 2: And it's a little bit of a judgment, a little bit Because you're like oh well, they have it all together, Look at their life.
- 18:30Speaker 2: But in reality, the stories that I heard over the last few months really opened my eyes to oh, there are more women like me.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a little bit different how they got to where they are, but we can relate on so many levels and it goes to these are my people.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, I think you get lined up.
- 18:55Speaker 1: I think Girl Power Alliance is very big on making sure you know who your identity is in Christ and what's beautiful about that.
- 19:03Speaker 1: We all have areas of trauma.
- 19:05Speaker 1: We all have areas of just brutal stuff, but as we rise up in our identity and really find our voice again, we get to speak to the person we once were.
- 19:13Speaker 1: So, farah, you are so valuable because of what you have come out of, and you come out, you know, abiding in Christ, and you get to speak to people that I can never speak to with your story.
- 19:25Speaker 1: So I think that's a.
- 19:27Speaker 1: I think the imposter syndrome hits in.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Who am I to do this?
- 19:30Speaker 1: And I think those are normal battles, but as we let people know, as we let the girls know, let the women know or let people that are interested in know, hey, this is, you don't have to have your eyes crossed or your all that and of the honest I'm thinking.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Before I was going, I was like, once again, I'm talking to my friend about what I'm going to wear.
- 19:50Speaker 1: I know this is kind of a lot of girly, girly stuff.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I said, excuse me, how do you feel on a skirt?
- 19:54Speaker 1: I said I feel okay, I'm not afraid to be feminine.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Long story short, we just decided that my white high tops will be my brand.
- 20:03Speaker 2: I love it so much.
- 20:05Speaker 2: I remember saying something to you.
- 20:06Speaker 2: I said I love that you're doing that Because I have the same type of thing as much as I love doing makeup and hair and all the things I love me some jeans and some nice tennis shoes and maybe a sweater like a T-shirt, like so I love that you did that.
- 20:25Speaker 2: I was like, yes, I was like I love that so much.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Now, once again, I had to go to therapy to get to that place.
- 20:30Speaker 1: But what it is is when you live, when you learn your authentic self and then you walk in your authentic self, then what happens I really think this is what happens there's, I think you empty out and then the Holy Spirit comes in and he can do whatever he wants.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I went to another conference after that mainstream.
- 20:48Speaker 1: I still I said I don't care, I see everyone dressed up, still walked in with my tennis shoes every day and sometimes it's good to feel, good to feel like okay.
- 20:57Speaker 1: But this was like a totally different.
- 20:59Speaker 1: I had to be like almost undercover with Jesus in the vessel.
- 21:05Speaker 1: And then there was a part where we got up on stage and that fun, and for 30 seconds we had to say who we are and yada, yada, and then we had to say what our secret power was.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Now, this is a mainstream.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I don't know if there's any Christians in there.
- 21:17Speaker 1: I haven't found them yet.
- 21:18Speaker 1: So when it came to my superpower, I said my superpower is my voice.
- 21:22Speaker 1: It shifts atmospheres.
- 21:23Speaker 1: And then I paused and I said it's not me that does that, it's he who lives in me.
- 21:27Speaker 1: And all of a sudden there was like surprised to like, oh okay, we can get on that, yeah.
- 21:32Speaker 1: And then the Christians found me and I like, hey, it was just, it was an AI and build your brand type thing.
- 21:39Speaker 1: And that's just what I've invested in, because I'm so passionate to help women realize they can do this without so much time If they just learned some basic AI.
- 21:47Speaker 1: That's another subject.
- 21:50Speaker 1: But anyway, when I felt of course I found my people so quickly, my prayer was one of my prayers of going into Radiant Speaker Academy and you can do this too If you're going to the Academy and you haven't gone yet I said, god, I just want to meet one person that I really connect with.
- 22:04Speaker 1: So the first night I met my roommate and it was Virginia Hadfield.
- 22:08Speaker 1: They had filled out my goods.
- 22:10Speaker 1: So, boom, I'm like, wow, that was quick.
- 22:12Speaker 1: And then, and then I just then.
- 22:14Speaker 1: The other prayer was just like I thought, even if I'm not interested in what they're talking about, let me be present and let me just be me.
- 22:19Speaker 1: And the Radiant Speaker Academy the first day was so full of nerves.
- 22:23Speaker 1: I wish I would have stayed in there more.
- 22:25Speaker 1: But then the second one, I stayed for every one of those talks and I wish we'll attest to this.
- 22:30Speaker 1: It was like revival.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no way to really encapsulate what transpired in that room.
- 22:39Speaker 2: It's and I was the same as you.
- 22:42Speaker 2: I was.
- 22:43Speaker 2: I was kind of preparing for Activate and making sure we had all the things and tickets were still coming in, and I'm doing this back end stuff.
- 22:51Speaker 2: And I kind of pop in on day one to kind of check it out, and it's, I was sitting there listening and I'm like, oh my gosh.
- 22:57Speaker 2: So then on day two, I'm like I don't want to leave my seat because this is just, this is too rich.
- 23:02Speaker 2: And there's there was so much healing, oh gosh, that took place in that room that it was like you know, they talk about borrowing faith and borrowing belief, and it was like I needed all of that to encapsulate and it was I.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Yeah, there really are no words to describe what happened there.
- 23:24Speaker 2: It was, it was very profound.
- 23:27Speaker 1: You're having the same reaction that Michelle Schaefer had.
- 23:30Speaker 1: She goes.
- 23:30Speaker 1: I just don't have words for that.
- 23:32Speaker 1: If you're wondering what we're talking about, girl Power Alliance is available to you inside the ambassador.
- 23:38Speaker 1: You have a Radiation Leadership Academy you get some code.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Another leadership coaching academy and they just added the Radiance Speaker Academy.
- 23:47Speaker 1: And the men's group is getting started this January.
- 23:51Speaker 1: And the reason I'm saying all that because I know there are a lot of people that know they have a message and I said this this is one of the safest places you can go to learn.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Man or woman you may be, you may be pretty good at speaking.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Believe me, there's something that happens when you step on the kingdom impact stage and I just pulling that in there is because I do know.
- 24:15Speaker 1: I mean, I talked to a lot of people, but I do know people who want a TED Talk or you know, want this or that.
- 24:20Speaker 1: And I was talking to a gentleman who actually helps people get a TED Talk and he's like, when you want to collaborate, I'm thinking men's power I'm like, can I sign up, man, on men's power?
- 24:30Speaker 1: I'm like, man, you can Back to just being safe first.
- 24:35Speaker 1: You guys made that safe.
- 24:37Speaker 1: That was neat.
- 24:39Speaker 1: I had spoke, had spoke before.
- 24:42Speaker 1: The hardest problem was just keeping it under 10 minutes.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Of course, I had so much to throw up the first day.
- 24:47Speaker 1: You know we had to get that, but I just really think it's a.
- 24:50Speaker 1: You guys provided all of you did, from Savannah to you, to the four coaches you guys just provided a safe place, did you?
- 24:59Speaker 1: Could you see that?
- 24:59Speaker 1: We were like some ladies went from having notes the first day to throwing out the notes on stage and being able.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Some of them kept their notes.
- 25:07Speaker 1: So it's okay.
- 25:08Speaker 1: We're not saying you have to be up there and be perfect, but I just think it's a safe place and I think as a marketing person you know this.
- 25:15Speaker 1: You gotta be able to put where people they're on social media.
- 25:19Speaker 1: So the more you can prepare yourself to speak into a camera as if you're on stage, the more the stages will line up for you if that's really what you wanna do.
- 25:28Speaker 1: But I think we have a responsibility as kingdom women to represent ourselves and I really think the Speaker Academy, probably with the Leadership Academy in there, really helps people do that.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Do you see that now?
- 25:41Speaker 1: Cause you can look back and say wow, and then you see that it's such a beautiful thing to see.
- 25:49Speaker 2: When I feel that each time a woman shares their story whether it's the first time or the second time, right, it's another part of them becomes ignited, wow.
- 26:01Speaker 2: And you talk about how we made it a safe space, and the thing is, is that it's giving other people, whether you're a man or a woman, that confidence to know that, no matter what you say here, you're gonna be heard?
- 26:22Speaker 2: Yeah, cause I think a lot of times people speak and they just speak to just say words.
- 26:31Speaker 2: When you speak your true self, yeah.
- 26:38Speaker 2: It, just it changes.
- 26:39Speaker 2: It changes the way that you are through your DNA.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it changes the things that you've been told, maybe since you were a child, and a lot of the women.
- 26:52Speaker 2: For this first round of it, I really felt that each one of them needed to say what they had to say, including yourself.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Yeah, you had to get that out, and a lot of the times you heard well, this is the first time I'm ever sharing this.
- 27:09Speaker 1: And it was that.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Not only were they confident enough, even if you were just to borrow it from everybody in that room, yeah, it was for sure something that needed to be done, because now that same exact story is not gonna be told that way.
- 27:29Speaker 2: It's gonna be told as a moment in time that no longer defines who.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Bridget girl.
- 27:38Speaker 2: You know they truly are and who you truly are.
- 27:41Speaker 2: And I can definitely say for you that first day I was like wow, I would have never seen that, I would have never thought that, I would have never.
- 27:51Speaker 2: And then by day two I was like look at that.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Yeah, and that was 20 minutes of the coaches, like Jenley, saying okay, we didn't know that was going on, but basically I thought yeah.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's such a beautiful thing.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I definitely with the coaches to really kind of sit back and you know it's such a different environment and it's I think so many people are used to be like, hey, are you up for constructive criticism?
- 28:23Speaker 2: Like we gotta throw that out.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Like that's got it, like that has such a negative notation on the back of it.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that here at RSA it was like hey, I heard you, can you go a little deeper?
- 28:39Speaker 1: Yeah, oh, it's so gentle.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Hey, I heard that.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Could you maybe explain how you got from here to here?
- 28:47Speaker 2: I got a lot of that, yeah, and it was so beautiful to see, yeah, each woman carried that confidence to where, In a sense, I want it.
- 29:00Speaker 2: I almost caution to say this, but I'm gonna say it, cause the spirits like, say it, like you're no longer afraid.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it's good.
- 29:10Speaker 2: You're no longer afraid to share the pain.
- 29:13Speaker 2: You're no longer afraid to share the hurt and what you've endured, because you're on the other side.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what I in another way to say that that I saw each one of those.
- 29:25Speaker 1: There were four judges I don't know if you call them judges, but four people Molly, shay, lisa and Michelle.
- 29:33Speaker 1: They're all at the table, okay, and they spent 20 minutes with me, but it wasn't like oh, I can't believe you said that or you need to bring this around.
- 29:41Speaker 1: It was like Teresa, okay, you've got a story here, but we didn't know this was going on.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I was trying to talk, really, about 23 years of marriage, okay, and I just like, and then I wanted to have my three points.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Anyway, so, when you go to the speaker Academy, let me assure you, though, you do go through nine weeks online where you are learning from Molly and then Lisa and then Michelle.
- 30:04Speaker 1: I don't know if Shay's gonna be online, but you really are.
- 30:07Speaker 1: You're not just going out on stage and flapping like a duck, you really are getting armed.
- 30:11Speaker 1: You get a chance to practice it on video.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Everyone I've talked to Ferris has really lit that this was an event like none other.
- 30:21Speaker 1: In fact, michelle says I almost couldn't go into activate.
- 30:24Speaker 1: I was still on this radio and the speaker high, and then we went to activate our conference but in fact she said she might put it in June or something and I thought that might be a good idea because it's so power packed.
- 30:36Speaker 1: But I'm just passionate about that because I really wanna see people find their voice.
- 30:41Speaker 1: If they only find it online, that's great, because really I'm really big.
- 30:47Speaker 1: I used to think brand was just colors and nice fonts and your logo and brands, who you represent.
- 30:53Speaker 1: And think about that, michelle and I were voice milling that.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Think about that.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Michelle Tufford, we get the honor of representing Christ Jesus on the video.
- 31:03Speaker 1: We may not say Jesus, jesus.
- 31:05Speaker 1: We may see peanut butter and people.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Someone could say because they got the anointing.
- 31:08Speaker 1: That is such an honor and I think Girl Power Alliance and you leading the way really help women.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Maybe I can't do it because I'm not into media.
- 31:17Speaker 1: No, they really take their hand and say this is how you can represent yourself.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Let me give you some scripts.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Let me let you say it in your own word Talk to Tristan, she'll have you.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Use chat G-B-T to sound like yourself.
- 31:28Speaker 1: I mean, there's just I'm not communicating.
- 31:31Speaker 1: I just threw that in because I'm so glad you're here.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Yeah, no, of course, but that's what it's about.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Right, that's what it's.
- 31:36Speaker 2: It's, it's, there's.
- 31:38Speaker 2: There's so much of like, oh well, this is gonna cost you if you do this, and there's I've been involved with so many different companies and so many different avenues that it's we wanna make sure that everything is available to you.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Talk a lot about leverage leverage the knowledge of other creators very much like yourself, you know.
- 31:57Speaker 2: If, if that's just helping somebody with chat G-B-T, if that's just help eliminating the workload for somebody, because each and every one of us has such a a busy life in general, we wanna be fully present with our families.
- 32:13Speaker 2: We want to be able to, if we wanna, sit on the couch one day and literally watch a TV show because we wanna have that peace, then we wanna be able to give you that ability to do that, so that you are fully equipped.
- 32:29Speaker 2: And hey, you may not be tech savvy, you may not be a writer, you may not know how to build certain things online, but all of that is already done for you.
- 32:39Speaker 2: And it's rare to find that and to find that collaboration, and to find these tools and all these resources available at your fingertips, because it's the thing we wanted to change.
- 32:52Speaker 2: We wanted to change the way the business was done and how people succeed, and it's only fair that everybody succeeds to their highest level that is possible for them.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Right, exactly, and there is a price to this.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Michelle Tuffer and I were talking about this because we were in marketing.
- 33:12Speaker 1: We paid big amounts.
- 33:13Speaker 1: This is so reasonable for what you get.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Yeah, you get the community, you get the support, but, my goodness, they rolled out an opt-in.
- 33:23Speaker 1: If you don't know what an opt-in is, or if you do, that's a game changer.
- 33:26Speaker 1: They roll out these things that you basically just have to find creative ways to share with your friends or share with people online that aren't your friends, and they become your friends.
- 33:35Speaker 1: So I can't say that enough from a marketing perspective, and I will say that I constantly work to make it duplicatable.
- 33:43Speaker 1: So I may be using something here I don't expect you to but I think making it duplicatable means you come under a leader who's not gonna just blow you away with her marketing skills.
- 33:53Speaker 1: She's gonna come right alongside you and say, hey, let's do it this way, that's what Michelle's doing with me, let's maybe you're not wording it right Just good stuff.
- 34:00Speaker 1: And then you get you really get companionship, that someone's believing for you.
- 34:06Speaker 1: I was working with you, so I can't say enough.
- 34:09Speaker 1: I can't believe I was gonna drop it.
- 34:12Speaker 2: God had other plans for you.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Oh, girl, when I saw people like you and Michelle and Michelle and people on stage, there was like something just hit me in my deep core of myself and I'm like these faith influencers, they're the people I wanna be aligned with and it just was.
- 34:31Speaker 1: That's it Now.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Granted, I gotta go through the stages of building my I'm a major pivot in some ways, but in some ways it isn't.
- 34:39Speaker 1: So I gotta get people used to me saying the word girl power alliance.
- 34:42Speaker 1: So there's a little pivot, but I know I really appreciate you, ferris.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Just, we can freely share about it without slimy anyone.
- 34:50Speaker 1: I hope someone gets the excitement of what we're talking about and if you're a speaker, come on.
- 34:57Speaker 1: In fact, I'm speaking with Lisa next in the next hour, who's one of the mentors.
- 35:02Speaker 1: So I appreciate that because you're involved in everything, but I appreciate that you saw it and you share the wonderment of that speaker.
- 35:12Speaker 2: It's such an honor to be here with you to speak with you, to be friends with you and to meet you and it's really the honor is all mine in God's.
- 35:25Speaker 1: When you were such a bright spot for me, you always had a hug or a smile or a laugh and something stupid I did, but I just knew I was so.
- 35:34Speaker 2: You had to have a little fun in there.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I was so grateful because I didn't get to meet you and then I got to meet you.
- 35:38Speaker 1: I'm sorry, guys, we're fan clubbing on each other, but it was just.
- 35:42Speaker 1: That's just how special it is and to me, michelle and Person Schaefer, and all I saw was on the screen and then to have someone wrap their, give you a hug and call you by name.
- 35:52Speaker 1: You're seeing a known, sometimes people, sometimes you need to invest in yourself and then the benefit is you get to be seen, a known.
- 36:00Speaker 1: And what about residual income?
- 36:02Speaker 1: That might be something that could be a game changer for this Christmas.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Now I'm gonna deviate.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Just take a right turn.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Let's talk about it's a part of GPA, but it's not a part of the membership.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Let's just end this with a little bit of excitement about the merch.
- 36:18Speaker 1: The merch that the guideline should be wearing my shirts.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Sorry, I'm wearing some.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Are you so tell us about that?
- 36:26Speaker 2: That's just a bonus.
- 36:27Speaker 2: The merch, the GPA merch.
- 36:29Speaker 2: So we just launched officially the GPA merch and you know we've had merch over the years, we've had it throughout the years.
- 36:39Speaker 2: And it's.
- 36:39Speaker 2: We started it off real slow and we just said, okay, you know, let's slap a few designs here and let's see how this works out.
- 36:47Speaker 2: And it really started with the jackets.
- 36:50Speaker 2: It started with the jeans.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Is that what it started?
- 36:52Speaker 2: Yeah, they are cool.
- 36:53Speaker 2: That's where it started it was.
- 36:54Speaker 2: You know, we really wanted to make a statement and it started with the jackets and as we were going into this second annual event and activate, it was like, okay, you know, let's bring something new and fresh, let's do something different, let's really take a stand and just have something fun.
- 37:16Speaker 2: You know, have these women wearing some of the gear and have fun with it.
- 37:20Speaker 2: And it really turned into something remarkable.
- 37:25Speaker 2: I remember telling Michelle I said we could really take this somewhere else, we could really take this outside the bounds that were I think we're playing a little small.
- 37:37Speaker 2: And we got connected with Jill and you know Jill happened to have so much expertise in merch and boutiques and clothing and it was such a divine God appointment with that and it's literally now it's official.
- 37:59Speaker 1: I'm sharing some of the merch.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Yes, it's literally just taken off it is literally taken off to a point where we have yeah, such beautiful images, that's, and this is available to anybody.
- 38:14Speaker 2: So, it's not just localized here inside the GPA community it is localized to anybody and everybody that loves clothing.
- 38:23Speaker 2: Someone who was in customer service for as long as I've been.
- 38:27Speaker 2: I told Michelle, I said this is going to be its own extension and it's going to move by leaps and bounds.
- 38:37Speaker 2: And man we've.
- 38:39Speaker 2: When we first had all of this, we had about, I'd say, about 50 to 60 women.
- 38:44Speaker 2: As of today, we have 4,000 GPA merch affiliates.
- 38:48Speaker 1: That's awesome, that is so cool.
- 38:50Speaker 1: And you know, what's also cool is we can kind of minister to them and minister to them, we can kind of share the overflow of girl power lines with them.
- 38:59Speaker 1: And I do know they're equipping them too.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Yeah, they're not just saying if the link can do it yourself, there's some equipping.
- 39:07Speaker 2: And I love that.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Everything's been prayed over, Everything has been carefully crafted and it's all in his work and design.
- 39:16Speaker 2: And it wouldn't if he didn't want it to happen, it wouldn't have gone in the direction.
- 39:22Speaker 2: So we're excited, we're super excited.
- 39:25Speaker 1: And if that's something, maybe you want to put that tap your feet in the water of girl power lines.
- 39:29Speaker 1: I put on my thing.
- 39:31Speaker 1: I say hey T, say hey T and I'll send you our message of the link so you can get a part of that.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Cause that's yeah, and it's free.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Everybody loves free.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Everybody loves free and I have my husband's oldest daughter.
- 39:47Speaker 1: I just loved how she took it and ran with it, cause he's just that kind of.
- 39:51Speaker 1: But she's a single mom.
- 39:52Speaker 1: She works hard, she owns her own cleaning business.
- 39:55Speaker 1: She comes home bone tired.
- 39:56Speaker 1: But what I love about her, she knows a good thing and they've seen I'm seeing her on Instagram Like, yeah, go, you know, they're making easy guys.
- 40:06Speaker 1: I.
- 40:07Speaker 1: There's nothing more I'd love for her than to have some extra money for Christmas and, who knows, some of these women can probably get so freaky good at it that that is really a substantial another stream of income.
- 40:19Speaker 1: So thanks for talking about that.
- 40:21Speaker 1: First, I thought it was a distraction.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Like this is distracting.
- 40:25Speaker 1: I'm trying to build my business and once again it all goes together.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Yeah, once again, michelle, I hope I have a little talk with me and I'm like okay, I get it, I'm in, I love our leaders, I'm done.
- 40:40Speaker 1: You're what?
- 40:41Speaker 1: Well, this has been so much fun.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Wow, I just feel like I had a cup of coffee with you and I love you.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Ferris, I so appreciate you.
- 40:47Speaker 1: You're such a mighty woman of power.
- 40:49Speaker 1: You, you are worthy, you are called, you are chosen.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Ferris, you are enough girl.
- 40:56Speaker 1: I mean, I really, really appreciate you and I just pray God continues just to break through the cruddy trauma, like me, and just that trauma becomes pathways for new experiences, for new growth, for new relationships and for intimacy with Jesus that you would not have experienced if you hadn't gone through the hell.
- 41:16Speaker 1: I really believe sometimes that can happen.
- 41:18Speaker 1: So I pray that for you and I'm just I.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Why does?
- 41:22Speaker 1: Why does the conference have to be so far away?
- 41:24Speaker 1: We need them twice over a year, I know, but the good thing about media is I get to see you on Instagram, I get to see you in calls, so that is good.
- 41:33Speaker 1: I remember it was such a pleasure.
- 41:36Speaker 2: Thank you, Teresa.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Yeah, it was so cool.
- 41:38Speaker 2: It's, it's, it's the pleasure is all mine, and it's I.
- 41:40Speaker 2: I love that you were here and I can't wait to see what you do and how much you grow.
- 41:44Speaker 2: Oh, thank you.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Well, you're listening to the Kingdom Mentor podcast.
- 41:48Speaker 1: I'm Teresa Croft.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Hey, if you this really rocks your boat, we write a review.
- 41:52Speaker 1: You can go to ratethisreviewcom.
- 41:55Speaker 1: You know why I say that?
- 41:57Speaker 1: It's not for a pad on our backs, but it's for that this message would go to more places.
- 42:01Speaker 1: So, thank you so much.
- 42:03Speaker 1: I'll talk to you in the next episode and, hey, keep shining.
