- 1:30Logan Newsom 2: Cool.
- 1:31Sam Silvers: So let's, let's get into, um, the Rule Supplements
- 1:34discussion that we had earlier today.
- 1:37I mean, what, what was your… Give me some big takeaways of
- 1:39what you learned from that today.
- 1:41Logan Newsom 2: I thought it was an interesting conversation, you know.
- 1:43And I mean, anytime, first of all, anytime you get a chance to pin
- 1:45Tyson down, and have a chance to talk business with him, it's interesting.
- 1:50And we did it in a fairly good time schedule because he wasn't,
- 1:55you know, like three hours late.
- 1:56He was only like an hour late.
- 1:57Sam Silvers: Yeah.
- 1:58Logan Newsom 2: I remember the first dealings I had with Tyson, me and
- 2:00Chance went to the Corp sale, and he was like a day and a half late
- 2:03delivering sheep, and that was kind of my first experience with Tyson Rule.
- 2:06But- So a lot like yourself Not even close to myself Um, but similar.
- 2:12We do have some similarities.
- 2:13But if you think about it- Tyson is such a visionary and- Yeah … business-minded
- 2:20in a lot of the things that he does, you know, and whether that's talking
- 2:22about raising Blackface sheep, raising Southdowns, Rule Supplements, all
- 2:26the stuff that they have going on, you know, from that side of things.
- 2:29But he's so interesting to talk to just because you expect a Midwestern sheep
- 2:36rancher, um, you know, that grew up in that sector- Speaking of the devil
- 2:40and grew, and grew up, grew up, you know, in the, in the commercial sheep
- 2:44industry, and I mean, all the s- all the, you know, the, his background
- 2:47and what all that looks like.
- 2:49And then homeboy went and sold copiers-
- 2:51Sam Silvers: Copiers
- 2:52… Logan Newsom 2: in Oklahoma.
- 2:53Sam Silvers: Yeah.
- 2:54Logan Newsom 2: And, like, that's how he cut his teeth.
- 2:56Yeah.
- 2:56Like, what?
- 2:58Like, such a Tyson thing.
- 3:00And so I think whenever you get an opportunity to sit and listen to that, you
- 3:03know, he's got his fingerprints all over that- Yeah … just from the corporate
- 3:06side of things, and the things that he's learned, and the things that he's done,
- 3:10and how he's ran, you know, multiple different businesses that he's been a
- 3:14part of, and what he's doing at Rule Supplements and, you know, having a chance
- 3:18to sit down in their booth and, you know, just seeing what him and Amber have built.
- 3:22Um, and you know, I thought he was very candid.
- 3:24Like, I thought he talked about some of the hard stuff and, you know, the growing
- 3:27pains and growing too fast and, you know, how that can all… I mean, we've all
- 3:31been bit- Yeah … by that, and how it can affect us and, you know, fighting today's
- 3:35$6 diesel prices, and just any of it.
- 3:37Like, and so you get a chance to pull the curtain back and get some real-world
- 3:41perspective from somebody that's, as we like to say, in the trenches.
- 3:45Sam Silvers: Yeah, definitely in the trenches.
- 3:46And, you know, love him or hate him, whoever you are out there listening,
- 3:49I mean, i- as far as branding goes, everybody knows who's that g- that
- 3:53green RSC circle logo is, and he was one of the first to do it.
- 3:56Um, took a business-minded approach to it, um, and is doing the th- same thing
- 4:01with Rule Supplements, and I, I think, you know, that, that purple colored
- 4:04logo is, is showing up everywhere, that purple triangle as I like to call it.
- 4:09y- you know, that's, that's what Tyson, Tyson does, and that's
- 4:12what him and Amber are good at.
- 4:13Logan Newsom 2: Yeah, absolutely.
- 4:14No, it was a great conversation, and I think it's, uh, it's something that
- 4:17anyone, can listen to and, and, and be able to dig into and, and, you
- 4:22know, feel how it resonates with them on a personal level and, you know,
- 4:25just kinda some of the stuff of the daily grind and how they get to do it
- 4:28with their family and the trials and tribulations and the good and the bad.
- 4:32Sam Silvers: Yeah.
- 4:32So be sure to tune into this episode, and as always, follow
- 4:35us on all social media platforms, YouTube, Spotify, uh, everything.
- 4:40Uh, drenchline.com is our website as well.

- 4:49you again to all of our sponsors, and be sure to keep tuning in.
- 4:52Logan Newsom 2: Yep.
- 4:52Make sure and use
- 4:55as the discount code while you're in Louisville.
- 4:58Sam Silvers: Yep, 10% off.
- 5:00Logan Newsom 2: Enjoy the listen.
- 5:12was always more like-
- 5:13Hulk Hogan type deal.
- 5:16I don't know about Ric Flair.
- 5:18Tyson Rule: Sounds like my first date opening with, uh, Amber.
- 5:22Sam Silvers: Live in the Rule Supplements booth.
- 5:24Probably two of, uh, two of my, my favorite people over here.
- 5:27Logan Newsom 2: Yeah?
- 5:28Me and Amber?
- 5:29Amber Rule: Yeah.
- 5:30Logan Newsom 2: Oh, I, I knew that I was gonna get left out on that
- 5:32favorite thing, so we, we- Waiting to where you're headed, yeah
- 5:35didn't need any discussions.
- 5:35Didn't know where you're headed with that.
- 5:36uh, gonna have a, a, a great conversation and, you know, get a, a tremendous amount
- 5:41of insight, two people that have been involved in this deal for how long…
- 5:44How, how, how many… How long has Tyson been coming to the North American?
- 5:47Tyson Rule: And I realized my first year at North American would've
- 5:50been 1994, so it's been a, it's been a few years from that point, so.
- 5:54Logan Newsom 2: Tyson has been coming to the North American
- 5:56since I was six years old.
- 5:58Amber Rule: Oh, gosh.
- 5:58Wow.
- 6:00That's-
- 6:00Tyson Rule: That's a long time … make
- 6:01Amber Rule: us feel real old there
- 6:02Tyson Rule: Yeah.
- 6:02It's, uh, the good and the bad of that side.
- 6:04So, you know, and seen the… I've seen all the positives and all the negative
- 6:07changes, changes at Louisville, a lot of the things are still exact same as they
- 6:10were, uh, 30 years ago, so pretty crazy.
- 6:12Yeah,
- 6:12Logan Newsom 2: absolutely.
- 6:13Sam Silvers: no matter where you're from or what stock show you think's the
- 6:15granddaddy, uh, Louisville is always in the discussion as one of the biggest
- 6:20and brightest and best, obviously.
- 6:23Tyson Rule: You know, for us, you know, like I said, aren't, you know,
- 6:24didn't originate in Texas where you didn't have, you know, the Houston.
- 6:27It was the first one I, I remember going to.
- 6:29You know, they had the big bright lights, and the second you walk in,
- 6:31you're just overwhelmed with, you know, the, the size and scope of it.
- 6:34Uh, you know, the, the Green Chips is kind of, I guess, you know, you know,
- 6:37very well known as far as across, you know, the entire industry as far as
- 6:41that's their kind of big stage point.
- 6:42but, you know, it's just the first show I remember, you know, where, hey, there
- 6:44are 1,400 animals to this show that are, you know, we're all gonna compete
- 6:47against, and there's only one person that walks away with the grand champion prize.
- 6:50I mean, it's, uh, you know, I think the heritage on that side of it and just
- 6:53the, uh, the overwhelming size of it, you know, versus the Midwest State Fair even
- 6:57is, uh, kind of cr- kind of crazy for us.
- 6:59Sam Silvers: Yeah,
- 7:00Logan Newsom 2: absolutely.
- 7:00Well, well, and I think the unique part about it, you know, that you
- 7:02really think about that's so much different than what we deal with,
- 7:05you know, back home is you, you pull obviously from all 48 states, right?
- 7:12You know, everybody bring in, and nobody's gonna show up with their, you know, the
- 7:15one that's not the best one in their barn.
- 7:17So you, you pull all of those people into one setting and, you know,
- 7:21competing for, like you said, you know, kind of that ultimate prize.
- 7:24But give a little backstory.
- 7:25I mean, you said you've been here for 30 years.
- 7:27I mean, what does that… How has that changed?
- 7:29I know at one point, like, you guys were going from Kansas City to Louisville,
- 7:32you know, just, like, back to back, and I mean, how much that's kinda changed
- 7:36and what that looks like now to where people… You know, from a scheduling
- 7:39standpoint, I would say it's probably…
- 7:41I don't know if it's grown from a numbers side, but, like, there is more
- 7:44of us, you know, Texans that come up.
- 7:45You know, and back, I would say, when we were showing, that wasn't
- 7:49something that was maybe quite as big.
- 7:51You know, you'd go once every year or so, and now, like, if
- 7:53we don't go, my kids are pissed.
- 7:55Tyson Rule: Yeah.
- 7:56I, I would say it's more of a, uh…
- 7:57It's turned into the, you know, the vacation for the, uh, you know- Mm-hmm
- 8:00… for the country that's in November.
- 8:02So everybody plans their, um- entire, you know, entire month around it.
- 8:05So I would say, you know, the big thing I see as far as the difference
- 8:08has changed, you know, there were a lot more, I call more people
- 8:12that were there for a vacation.
- 8:13You know, like, "Hey, we, uh, we're gonna continue to show after the state fair.
- 8:16We're gonna now go out to Louisville. Us and our 20 kids in our 4H chapter are
- 8:20gonna go from, uh, Louisiana up there."
- 8:22Sam Silvers: In our crockpot.
- 8:22Tyson Rule: In our, in our, in the- There's some crockpots there.
- 8:24There's so many crockpots.
- 8:25There's a lot of crockpots.
- 8:26They're a lot more healthier now.
- 8:27You ever notice when they
- 8:27Amber Rule: stop and, like, test what they're having and
- 8:29like, "This smells really good.
- 8:30Can
- 8:30Sam Silvers: I have a bite?" Yeah, exactly.
- 8:31Yeah, absolutely.
- 8:32I do it.
- 8:32I just grab stuff out of people's coolers.
- 8:34I don't really care.
- 8:35Tyson Rule: I'd say, you know, the… It's, there was a lot
- 8:37more carb-based back then.
- 8:38Now I think it's a little healthier version.
- 8:39Little healthier.
- 8:39Yeah.
- 8:39Little more keto friendly.
- 8:40Little more bougie too, you know.
- 8:41There's a lot more, uh, you know- Charcuterie … Uber Eats that
- 8:43come in, a lot more charcuterie and red wine, where before it was, you
- 8:46know, just whiskey and vodka, you know, well, well drinks that- Yeah.
- 8:49people were having a good time with, but-
- 8:51Sam Silvers: Two-day-old cheese dip.
- 8:52Tyson Rule: Yeah, ex- exactly.
- 8:53But, you know, I'd say that the big difference, like what you said now,
- 8:56is everybody that comes, man, it's their best two or three in the barn.
- 8:59I mean, there's no longer the, "Hey, I, you know, I'm here.
- 9:01I was in the middle of, middle of class at county fair,
- 9:03middle of class at state fair.
- 9:04I'm gonna come to the Louisville, you know, and just try to make the, make
- 9:07the sift." I mean, the sift anymore are all people that, you know, are expecting
- 9:11to try to, you know, they're trying to be in the top five of their class.
- 9:13So it's, uh, the competition level- Sure … and the, is, uh, changed immensely on
- 9:17how much, you know, how higher, how much higher the quality is of the animals
- 9:20than they probably were 30 years ago.
- 9:22Logan Newsom 2: Right.
- 9:23Yeah.
- 9:23Well, and that's, uh, you know, even with it, it's almost feels like, you
- 9:26know, in today's world, you know, the American Royal and the North American,
- 9:30you know, they kinda sit alone where, you know, like I said, you know, back in
- 9:32the day it was a very much a mad dash, you know, across and all, all the stuff,
- 9:36you know, the stories that you hear.
- 9:37But, you know, it is, like you said, people literally will take their November
- 9:41and circle that on the calendar and then figure out how they can, you know,
- 9:44spend Thanksgiving with their family.
- 9:46Sam Silvers: Yeah.
- 9:46Yeah.
- 9:46Yeah.
- 9:47That's an afterthought.
- 9:48So f- for the audience- Mm-hmm … that, that don't know, I mean, I, I
- 9:51think anybody who's shown a, a small ruminant animal knows what…
- 9:56Has probably seen Rule Supplements or Rule Sheep Company.
- 9:59But give us, give us some background on both y- you, Amber, you, Tyson, you, where
- 10:03you came from, how you grew up in this.
- 10:05Yep.
- 10:06All, all of it.
- 10:07How y'all met.
- 10:08We
- 10:08Tyson Rule: want
- 10:08Amber Rule: the whole backstory.
- 10:09Well, I can go first 'cause mine's a lot shorter.
- 10:10Tyson Rule: Yeah, we'll let Amber go first-
- 10:11'cause she says shorter, but she really means, like, "I'm gonna take the next 30
- 10:14minutes to discuss- … you know, all the flaws that Tyson has in his lifestyle."
- 10:19Amber Rule: How much time do we have?
- 10:20No.
- 10:20Um, I from Oklahoma, raised, um, in Oklahoma City, and did not grow
- 10:25up around agriculture or livestock.
- 10:27Um, Grandpa had, like, pasture cattle.
- 10:30Like, I didn't grow up showing.
- 10:31Um, then married into it.
- 10:33We've been married 22 years, uh, in October, and that's
- 10:37pretty much the gist of me.
- 10:39Told you it was gonna be short.
- 10:40Sam Silvers: Well, uh, okay.
- 10:41Well, now wait.
- 10:41Hold on a second.
- 10:42Where did, where did y'all, where did y'all meet?
- 10:44How did you meet?
- 10:45Amber Rule: Um, oh, okay.
- 10:46So we met at the corpse sale.
- 10:48Okay.
- 10:48Um, in 2001?
- 10:522001.
- 10:52Sam Silvers: Yeah.
- 10:53Amber Rule: Met at the corpse sale.
- 10:54It was kind of a funny story.
- 10:56Uh, aunt and uncle brought me there to introduce me to somebody
- 10:58else, and then I met Tyson.
- 11:00So-
- 11:01Tyson Rule: Nice
- 11:02… Amber Rule: that's how that worked.
- 11:03Tyson Rule: She forgot to mention she had big, tall, high-heel black boots on
- 11:06Amber Rule: and- Oh, yeah.
- 11:06I came straight from work, so I was in, like, dress pants, red shirt, big tall
- 11:10heels, and walked into this sheep sale.
- 11:12So it was quite entertaining.
- 11:14He was like, "I am gonna win her." I could see, I could
- 11:17Logan Newsom 2: see how you might have stood out, you know-
- 11:19Amber Rule: Yeah … at sheep
- 11:19Logan Newsom 2: sale
- 11:19Amber Rule: summer 2001.
- 11:20Kinda stood out a little bit.
- 11:21Yeah.
- 11:21Stood out a little bit.
- 11:22Yeah, so.
- 11:22Sam Silvers: Yeah.
- 11:23And Tyson, you were just floored.
- 11:25Logan Newsom 2: Smitten.
- 11:26Tyson Rule: Smitten would be the word I was gonna
- 11:27Sam Silvers: use, actually.
- 11:28Smitten.
- 11:28Smitten.
- 11:28You know, it's,
- 11:28Tyson Rule: uh…
- 11:29Sam Silvers: Highly impressed.
- 11:31So 20- Yeah … 22 years.
- 11:33Amber Rule: 22 years.
- 11:33Sam Silvers: Yep.
- 11:34Lived in, lived in Oklahoma a little bit.
- 11:36Amber Rule: Yep, I lived in Oklahoma- And then- … when I first married.
- 11:38Um, moved to Topeka, Kansas.
- 11:40Um, Tyson actually sold copiers, for those of you that don't know.
- 11:43Sam Silvers: That's awesome.
- 11:44Amber Rule: And, uh, lived there, um, then moved to Iowa to continue
- 11:49to grow Rule Sheep, um- Okay
- 11:51in 2008, and started our sheep site there and- grew from there.
- 11:57Sam Silvers: When I, when I think of you selling copiers, I just can't help
- 12:00but think about the movie The Office.
- 12:02Amber Rule: Yeah.
- 12:03Tyson Rule: I, I had a really awesome stapler- Office Space … so just
- 12:05in case- … you were wondering, my stapler was automatic, so it
- 12:08was, it was a little fancier, but-
- 12:09Sam Silvers: Great movie, Office Space.
- 12:11Logan Newsom 2: That, uh… I, I think we'll probably wrap around to that, but
- 12:13I've always thought, and I know, like, even you've hit that whenever, maybe
- 12:17on Jake P's podcast- Yeah … you know, just kind of the backstory of selling
- 12:21that and probably how a lot of that stuff that you learned in corporate America
- 12:25can transfer into where, you know, especially where we're probably at in
- 12:28today's world, you know, maybe not 10 or 15 years ago, but, you know, like,
- 12:32I mean, at the end of the day, like, we talk about this all the time, you know,
- 12:35like, it is a business and obviously you guys have taken it to the next level.
- 12:38Sam Silvers: Yeah.
- 12:38Logan Newsom 2: But there's a lot of that stuff that anyone that has spent
- 12:41time in, you know, those corporate, uh, trainings, you know, that you kind
- 12:45of… I remember whenever I was working for Rural Rellis, I would sit there
- 12:48and, you know, take the notes, and I wouldn't maybe be thinking about them
- 12:51how they could affect me in the chemical sales side, but I'm like, "Hey, if I
- 12:55implemented this in my sheep program- Yeah
- 12:56I could see how that could be beneficial." Yeah,
- 12:58Sam Silvers: yeah.
- 12:58A- and I would, I would say that, you know, Rural Sheep Company and now
- 13:03Rural Supplements, he… I mean, he was kind of the innovator on this-
- 13:05Absolutely … of bringing it y- you know, bringing almost a, a, a corporate feel
- 13:10to- Mm … to the show sheep industry and all, all that stuff, and running it
- 13:14like a true business, not, not a hobby.
- 13:16Tyson Rule: Yeah, and like I said, I think we went back into Iowa in
- 13:192008, so I'll just, I'll start our, you know, conversations there, I
- 13:22guess, to kind of keep the 30 years, you know, keep, keep within our
- 13:25hour, our timeline and so forth.
- 13:27But, you know, that was our entire plan is, like, "Hey, how do we put together
- 13:30a business plan to make Rural Sheep Company, you know, a more profitable,
- 13:34uh, more successful business?"
- 13:36Because before then, everybody, you know, they, in theory, had just kind
- 13:39of ran their sheep and they were trying to, like, make the one or two and,
- 13:41you know, it, it was kind of more of a secondary, second job to go along with-
- 13:45Sure … their, you know, their day job.
- 13:47You know, and my original goal was to get ourselves scaled up to where
- 13:50I got a full-time employee for my dad, and then I realized that, hey,
- 13:53I was gonna go back and I was gonna be the full-time employee for my dad.
- 13:55So that was, uh, probably, I created myself a really tough
- 13:58job, I guess, at that side.
- 14:00Amber Rule: He got a twofer.
- 14:00He got both of us.
- 14:01Tyson Rule: Yeah.
- 14:02And you know, that was the nice part.
- 14:03but, you know, I knew that there was a lot of inefficiencies in
- 14:05the way that we raise animals.
- 14:06I looked at, you know, that in the, from the corporate world of like,
- 14:08"Hey, how do we make things more operational, you know, successful?
- 14:12How do we, you know, make things just, you know, more h- higher end?" You know, and
- 14:16that's when theory bef- when we moved back in 2008, there was no AI and ET programs.
- 14:20I mean, it was strictly, you know, the buck went out, they bred the ewe.
- 14:23I think in 2009, that was our first year doing, um, lap AI work.
- 14:28We brought in a lady from, uh, Australia.
- 14:30She did 400 head, you know.
- 14:32We tried to hire a couple of US-based firms, and they, you
- 14:35know, had no interest in it.
- 14:36They knew that we were gonna fall on our face, so just too many numbers, t-
- 14:38you know, t- too wrong time of year.
- 14:40Little bit of everything was kind of wrong, and so, you know, we
- 14:42looked at it and said, you know…
- 14:44You know, looked at a lot of, like, how the business worked and how
- 14:47could we make it better, and that's kind of how, you know, Rule Sheep
- 14:49Company kind of built from a 300 head operation to a 2,000 head operation.
- 14:53Sam Silvers: Now, now fast-forward to, to present day.
- 14:56Um, you have Rule Supplements.
- 14:59Tyson Rule: Mm-hmm.
- 14:59Sam Silvers: y- you know, it's something that we utilize on a, on a daily basis.
- 15:02I know Logan utilizes- Absolutely … Rule Supplement stuff on a daily basis.
- 15:06The move, I mean, let's talk about Rule Supplements, but let's talk
- 15:09about the move from Iowa to Texas.
- 15:11Give us the background on Rule Supplements.
- 15:13Tyson Rule: Well, Rule Supplements started actually when I was doing some,
- 15:15uh, reproduction work in California.
- 15:17had a really good friend that was a nutritionist out
- 15:19there that I had just met.
- 15:20we ended up becoming business partners.
- 15:21You know, he had all the science backing.
- 15:23Uh, I had all the practical real-world knowledge as far as, you know, what
- 15:26we needed to accomplish, and he had all the ways to solve those things.
- 15:29So we, we started on that side on the repro world of, of, uh, supplementation.
- 15:34Then kinda realized that as we kinda got more inve- involved with it, you know,
- 15:38Amber and I had a daughter that was showing, and we were kinda frustrated
- 15:41with the supplements that were out there.
- 15:42Kinda we, you know, discussed a little bit like everybody had one good product,
- 15:45but I mean, you know, at the different companies, but there wasn't really a
- 15:48good line of saying, "Hey, here's where I would go to, you know, to be able
- 15:51to solve all the problems I need to with my show animals" at that point.
- 15:54Yeah.
- 15:55So we kind of just built it off of, "Hey, you know, what do we wanna accomplish,
- 15:58and how do we, you know, structure a product to around that?" You know, and
- 16:01as with, you know, when we were starting out, I mean, we did a lot of those
- 16:04internally through our own, own side.
- 16:06Then, um, as we kinda grew, I mean, we went to more looking externally
- 16:09to figure out what the best products were and, you know, the
- 16:12products that we would use ourself.
- 16:13We tested a lot of items and-
- 16:14Amber Rule: I think a lot of it, too, like we actually use those products within
- 16:18our show barn when Madison was showing, um, junior, senior year especially.
- 16:22So we tested them, we tried them.
- 16:25The ones that didn't work we didn't use.
- 16:27The ones that did work are still around today, so-
- 16:29Tyson Rule: it's, it's been a, a wild run.
- 16:31I mean, 'cause in theory it was, you know, it was a garage door.
- 16:33You know, opened the garage door up, you know, some white buckets, you know, and
- 16:36some, some tape, and that was the process.
- 16:39There wasn't really, you know, e-commerce platform.
- 16:40We were before COVID.
- 16:41You know, everybody went to their local feed store, you know, and that's where
- 16:44they bought their, you know, whatever they could get fresh was what they used.
- 16:47Uh- Mm-hmm … you know, the market has changed considerably since then for us.
- 16:51Sure.
- 16:51And, you know, it's just, uh, you know, Amazon has came out of COVID.
- 16:54There's a lot of just more direct, uh, e-commerce platforms that
- 16:57allow people to be able to just go online, and we can get a product to
- 17:00them, you know, anywhere across the country in two to three days, so-
- 17:02Sam Silvers: Yeah.
- 17:02A- and, and get any of the products that they, they need.
- 17:05You know, we talked about this before we started turning the cameras on,
- 17:09was, y- you know, Rule Supplements is a place that you can go and get H2 and
- 17:13Shear Shine and 3 Hours Out and y- you know, shredded, thick, whatever- Mm
- 17:19halters, muzzles, wraps, blankets.
- 17:21Any of the good stuff you want, i- it's all at one place.
- 17:24Yep.
- 17:24Amber Rule: Right.
- 17:24Sam Silvers: Y- you know, we don't have to go to 47 different
- 17:26places to get something.
- 17:27Amber Rule: And like I said, too, it's all stuff that we've used in our own barn and
- 17:31still use in our own barn, a lot of it is.
- 17:33So- Sure Tried and tested.
- 17:37Logan Newsom 2: Well, and I think we've talked about that, you know, extensively
- 17:39and in the society that we all live in.
- 17:41And I think you brought up a neat point, you know, like how everyone came out of
- 17:44COVID, and like how much different we are as consumers- Oh, yeah … and what that
- 17:48looks like, you know, from, from what that eight, 10, 12 months, you know, was.
- 17:53And, you know, we've talked about the Amazon effect, you know, and what that
- 17:56looks like, and we're all the same.
- 17:58Everybody's busy.
- 17:59You know, you, you're rolling through the day-to-day and you're doing stuff
- 18:02and you're chasing kids around, and if you don't have a chance to make
- 18:05it to that feed store or, you know, swing by and grab that one thing, like
- 18:09everyone sits down at night and it's like, "All right, what do I need?"
- 18:12And for, for you guys to have built a platform where it is a one-stop shop,
- 18:17where it's something that you can get on here, "Hey, I know that I need these
- 18:19three things, and oh, hell, I'm, you know, I'm almost out of that too. While
- 18:22I'm ordering, I might as well package that in," instead of, you know, we've
- 18:25all been there, and like feed stores are great and, and we always support those
- 18:28local, you know, retail locations- Mm-hmm
- 18:30'cause a lot of them do like, you know, they're dealers and, and whatnot, but
- 18:34you might go to one and y- to, you know, to get formula and sure shine.
- 18:37You might have to go to another one because that's the ones-
- 18:39Right … that's actually carrying your base feeds, you know?
- 18:41And so to put together something that is a one-stop shop, but also products that
- 18:46folks that have been successful at, and you can literally get it all from your ha-
- 18:50I mean, like Sam said, from your halter down to, you know, your haircare products.
- 18:53Like, I think that's- Right … a really neat business platform that,
- 18:56that, that you guys have, have
- 18:57Sam Silvers: put
- 18:57Logan Newsom 2: together.
- 18:58Sam Silvers: And, and how many of us are, are actually rural, you know?
- 19:01Yeah.
- 19:01I mean, true rural.
- 19:02Like you, you live in Olton, I live in Junction.
- 19:05I mean, y- you know, it, it's an hour to an hour and a half to go
- 19:08find any product that, that we need.
- 19:11Yep.
- 19:11And so that, that makes it easier on us.
- 19:12Not that we don't wanna s- support local dealers- Right … I mean, we
- 19:15certainly would, but- Right … we just don't have that options where we live.
- 19:18Right.
- 19:18Sure.
- 19:18So it's nice to
- 19:19Amber Rule: be able to do that.
- 19:19And I think going back to that, you know, we were talking more about like the move
- 19:22and everything, keeping up with that, and, um, we try to like- I guess, per se,
- 19:28grow our business or move our business into, to match that Amazon mindset,
- 19:33and try to, try to accomplish filling those orders and the move, um, to Texas.
- 19:38I mean, obviously everybody knows we moved to Texas.
- 19:40That was a challenge.
- 19:41Um, as we continue to grow, that was our big challenge, is making sure the
- 19:45orders were filled, and we've had to make new strides and figure out how to-
- 19:49Sam Silvers: Growing
- 19:50Amber Rule: pains … to grow with it.
- 19:51Yep, yep.
- 19:51Yeah, growing pains.
- 19:52I hate saying that, but it, it was.
- 19:53It was kind of a growing pain, um, time in our lives too, is, um,
- 19:57getting down to Texas and getting settled and keeping up with orders
- 20:01and-
- 21:04Logan Newsom 2: Yeah, Tyson hit on that.
- 21:05I mean, I know that that's, you know, kinda what, you know, Amber said.
- 21:07I mean, just, it's one thing to m- up and move your family and your
- 21:11show sheep operation- Oh, yeah
- 21:13and everything else, and all the stuff.
- 21:14And kid in c- you know, going to college and, you know, Mav's still in school.
- 21:18Just, just all of that.
- 21:19I mean, I can't imagine.
- 21:20I don't even know- But the good
- 21:21Amber Rule: news is we're still married.
- 21:22Logan Newsom 2: Y'all, you have made it through that.
- 21:24We survived.
- 21:24You have made it through that, yeah, from, from Iowa to Texas.
- 21:26But- It's
- 21:27Sam Silvers: a great test.
- 21:27Yeah,
- 21:28Logan Newsom 2: yeah.
- 21:28Test your marriage.
- 21:29Uh, load up everything and move, you know, six hours, 10 hours away, whatever.
- 21:33But, but the last, what, five years have been fast and furious, and then
- 21:38you also incorporate a move into that.
- 21:39Like, that couldn't have been something from a business side.
- 21:42You take the personal effects out of it, like from a business side of
- 21:44things, that couldn't have been easy.
- 21:46Tyson Rule: No, and you know, part of our g- you know, our thought process
- 21:49on the, on the move was we were trying to allow opportunities for employees
- 21:53to be able to, you know, grow into the, grow into their new roles.
- 21:56And I thought that, you know, at, at that point in, in Iowa, we had, you know, a
- 21:59couple individuals that, you know, would be able to operate our, a location there.
- 22:03And, you know, I wanted to promote them up to be able to have them have
- 22:06more responsibility, you know, uh, grow in their careers and so forth.
- 22:09And we looked at, you know, as far as, you know, the Texas-Oklahoma market is
- 22:12a huge market on the supplement side.
- 22:14Um, you know, we looked at the repro world as far as Tyson never got to
- 22:17spend a lot of time with his kids in the summer because he was gone on the road.
- 22:20So the show season, you know, and his kids, you know, for the first of the
- 22:22two at least, uh, was always tough.
- 22:24So yeah, that was a, that was a kind of a discussion point for us.
- 22:27You know, now I have the ability to go with Maverick and Mackenzie to, you
- 22:29know, all the national shows, which was something I didn't get to really
- 22:31do a lot with, you know, with Madison.
- 22:33It was more just the national shows, but never got to go to a county fair.
- 22:36Jackpots.
- 22:36Never got to go jackpots and so forth, so.
- 22:38Sam Silvers: Yeah.
- 22:38Tyson Rule: That part's been, you know, that wa- that was kind of part
- 22:40of our discussion about how do I get to spend more time with our kids and
- 22:42still be involved in the industry.
- 22:44Sam Silvers: Right.
- 22:44Tyson Rule: You know, but alo- you know, along with that, you know, with the move
- 22:47and how, you know, it was a, it was a struggle is, you know, we saw the, the
- 22:50struggle with, you know, gas prices and fuel prices going up, uh, with that
- 22:54impacting logistics costs, uh, for, you know, both our feed stores that we deliver
- 22:58to on pallet sizes and also just the UPS rates and the FedEx rates and, you know,
- 23:03just the, you know, the extra shipping costs that were going along with that.
- 23:06So- We kind of tried to tackle two or three bears at one time, you
- 23:09know, and knowing that, hey, we had to, you know, get our supplements
- 23:13more distributed throughout the US to where we could ship to, you know,
- 23:16Michigan more economically, ship to California, ship to Texas, and so forth.
- 23:19So we kind of tried to set up, uh, multiple locations for distribution,
- 23:24you know, at the same time as making our move, and you know,
- 23:26there was growing pains with that.
- 23:27Yeah.
- 23:27You know, we, um, would have lo- you know, would have product at, you know, Dallas,
- 23:30but wouldn't have product in Chicago.
- 23:32We'd have product in, you know, California, but wouldn't have product
- 23:34in, you know, for, for New Mexico.
- 23:35So, um, until we got the system and all the irons worked out, I mean, we, we
- 23:40know we kind of got kicked in the face.
- 23:41I mean, to be honest, I mean, it was a, it was a process that we knew would allow us
- 23:45to keep our costs, uh, economical for our customers, uh, that we had, you know, we
- 23:49had to go through, but we just had to go through the growing pains of getting that
- 23:52entire, you know, process implemented and, and rolling and, you know, now we've…
- 23:56The last three months have been, you know, two months, I guess for sure,
- 23:58have been awesome, where, you know, now we're getting things out and, you know,
- 24:00the day g- the product gets ordered, it gets back out again, and it's already
- 24:03closer to the customer, so it gets there faster in a more economical,
- 24:06you know, fashion for everybody.
- 24:07So trying to keep costs down was, you know, a big portion of,
- 24:10you know, the move, uh, for us.
- 24:12You know, having it located in Iowa and Texas was huge
- 24:15Logan Newsom 2: talk about, a little bit about, you know, what Rule Supplements,
- 24:18what maybe the mindset is and the benefit if you're, if you're a feed
- 24:23store that, that does wanna reach out to, you know, Tyson or Amber, you know,
- 24:27Jurahee, and say, "Hey, can this be a one-stop shop?" Like, what that looks
- 24:30like and, and from that standpoint.
- 24:32Tyson Rule: Well, that's, that's what's been fun for us.
- 24:34I mean, as we look at our, you know, our product portfolio, you know,
- 24:36we've, we test out, uh, all the products that we're kind of sheep
- 24:39and goat side, you know, ourselves.
- 24:41Then we got some of the best in class, what we consider, you know,
- 24:43individuals that, you know, have helped us develop products for the pig world,
- 24:46the cattle world, uh, things that we aren't specialists at, and we brought
- 24:50those into p- into, you know, fruition 'cause, you know, one of the things we
- 24:52heard a lot from our feed stores that were carrying our products was like,
- 24:54"Well, hey, you know, you know, h- could you, you know, h- h- do you guys
- 24:57have pig feed that we can feed too?
- 24:58We love your products on the sheep side.
- 25:00What can you do on that side or, you know, on the cattle side?" And
- 25:02so then we partnered with a lot of different people in the industry on
- 25:04products that they, you know, we, we knew were successful that maybe they
- 25:07didn't have as good of a distribution model for as like the big guys would.
- 25:11But, uh, you know, like I'm gonna use Will Winters and Punch.
- 25:13You know, Will and I have been friends since, you know, I think before both
- 25:16of us, you know, were actually l- legal to drink, but I think, uh- Mm … you
- 25:19know, we were, we were still out there.
- 25:21Uh, you know, I knew he had a great product, and it was one that we'd
- 25:23actually use on the sheep, sheep and, you know, sheep and goats here and there.
- 25:26But, you know, his pig w- you know, pig world is huge, but, you know, for a feed
- 25:30store to pick, you know, his product up, they had to buy a full pallet of it to
- 25:32make it where it's economical for them.
- 25:34When we ca- started carrying the product, I mean, all of a sudden,
- 25:36you know, our 500, 600 feed stores would be able to buy five buckets at
- 25:40a time and throw it on their pallet.
- 25:41Right.
- 25:41Their cost per unit was low, so therefore, you know, they could pass
- 25:44that savings on to the customer.
- 25:46And it gave Will a huge advantage as far as, you know, he can now have a, you know,
- 25:49access to all those feed stores that we were at, so the customers that he was
- 25:52trying to get to use his product would have a l- a lot more readily available.
- 25:56Logan Newsom 2: Well, and I mean, whether you're a feed store or even, you
- 25:58know, individual consumer, that mix and match option is, like, so beneficial.
- 26:02You know, lots of folks do maybe sheep and goats.
- 26:05Some folks might have, you know, show Beres and also do the sheep side.
- 26:08So I mean, you can come… I mean, we, you know, we talk about it, and,
- 26:11you know, we probably hit on it as far as kind of being that one-stop shop.
- 26:13But l- literally where you could get a couple of gallons of Sure Shine, get your
- 26:16supplements, and then if you need to, you can throw 20 bags of base feed on there.
- 26:19You know, whatever that looks like.
- 26:20Right.
- 26:20It just… And even from a, you know, we talk about, you know, the
- 26:23guys at the retail level, uh, and even on the local level that we
- 26:26all try to, you know, utilize some.
- 26:27I mean, I think about our feed store at home.
- 26:29You know, those guys are probably in the Texas Panhandle, a little
- 26:33more focused in, in that area, you know, on the show Bere side.
- 26:36And I mean, that's, that's obviously a big deal.
- 26:38But they could still get, you know, six of this and then get,
- 26:41you know, a pallet of whatever.
- 26:42I mean, so I think from a business model standpoint, it's so user-friendly.
- 26:47Yeah.
- 26:47And I think that's the part that I, I, I would say, you know, has really been
- 26:51beneficial from folks like us, from retail level, you know, folks, I mean,
- 26:55where they can get on there and, you know, look at that, where You know, I
- 26:58mean, at the end of the day, you talk about the big guys a little bit, like
- 27:01sometimes you do have to order a pallet of this, and you know, you're looking at
- 27:03it saying, "All right, I'm gonna order a pallet and I'm gonna sell five bags,
- 27:06and then when am I gonna sell the rest?"
- 27:08Right.
- 27:09Amber Rule: Yeah.
- 27:09Right, and shelf life.
- 27:10And I- that's part of what we too, we focus on, you know, really customizing
- 27:14for these feed stores and educating them about, you know, how we can
- 27:18help them build their pallet to be most ec- economical for shipping.
- 27:22Um, you know, whether we start it with a half a pallet of feed and whatever
- 27:25animal or species they're feeding, and then we add in all the supplements
- 27:28on top of that, um, to really figure out a way that meets their needs,
- 27:33um, and then helps with shipping.
- 27:34'Cause like you said too, shipping is just, it-
- 27:36Logan Newsom 2: It's huge
- 27:37… Amber Rule: and I, I mean, we kinda take pride in that, like helping those,
- 27:40the guys that maybe have the smaller feed store or even the bigger feed
- 27:43stores that have multiple chains, um, being able to accommodate all of those,
- 27:47Sam Silvers: When we specifically talk about Rule Supplements, and we talked
- 27:50about education, like education on the dealer side, but education to the, to
- 27:54the exhibitors, that's something that you and I have had conversations about.
- 27:58Mm-hmm.
- 27:58A- and something that's neat to me is, is Rule Supplements is, is
- 28:01so ingrained in the show world and always willing to help somebody.
- 28:05I mean, y- y'all help at our Driven Clinic, a- and it's a
- 28:07usually a no questions asked.
- 28:08Like, yeah, absolutely.
- 28:09Yeah.
- 28:09We'd love to be a part of it.
- 28:10Y'all been a part of Odessa out there.
- 28:13Uh, a- and that's really cool to see that y'all give back.
- 28:16Tyson Rule: Yep.
- 28:17Sam Silvers: I- it's not a take all situation.
- 28:18Amber Rule: Right.
- 28:19Tyson Rule: You know, and- Uh,
- 28:20Amber Rule: YGB camp-
- 28:20Tyson Rule: Yeah … is an example
- 28:21Sam Silvers: of YGB.
- 28:21Yep.
- 28:22Tyson Rule: Yep.
- 28:22You know, and o- one of our big deals, you know, we love, you know, as far as
- 28:25our mission as we look at, you know, what, you know, what we're gonna do
- 28:27for our products and so forth is, you know, we wanna have the highest quality
- 28:30product at the lowest price possible.
- 28:32Mm-hmm.
- 28:32So, I mean, w- you know, we pride ourself by not being the guys with
- 28:35inflated salaries, you know, and, you know, extra reps and extra la- layers
- 28:38of management or distribution that goes across the country, you know, and all
- 28:41of a sudden, hey, the price is just get… You know, the customer's gonna
- 28:43take the, you know, take the hit on it.
- 28:45You know, we love being able to stay lean and stay mean and, you
- 28:48know, stay efficient on that side, which sometimes gives, gives us some
- 28:51headaches, you know- Sure, sure.
- 28:52… as far as, you know, you know, more, you know, f- founder, you know, founders
- 28:55boxing up some of the supplements to get an order out at the end of the day.
- 28:57Uh, but with that it allows us to give back, and that's- You're
- 29:00right … what's awesome for us.
- 29:02I mean, whether it's the Driven camps or the YGB camps, and, you know, we see
- 29:05who actually, you know, we look at the people that are making, trying to make
- 29:08an impact in the industry and, you know, keep our industry going and, and grow it,
- 29:12and those are the ones that we go towards.
- 29:13I mean, it's hard because, you know, every single, you know, s- jackpot show
- 29:16now has considered us, you know, as we do promote ourselves as, you know, and
- 29:19on that side of it- Yeah … is giving back when we do get hit up a lot, so we
- 29:23have to, you know, we have to plan out a year out for our, uh- Yeah … for
- 29:25our marketing budgets and so forth- Yeah
- 29:26for, for giving those back, but it's been awesome to be able to do that.
- 29:30Sam Silvers: It-
- 29:30Amber Rule: it's- I mean, at the end of the day too,
- 29:31that's kinda what we're about.
- 29:33I mean, it's, we are a supplements business, but we're all in the business
- 29:36of agriculture and teaching our kids and- Yeah … getting them out and having
- 29:40the experience, and that's where it all comes back to, um, is we wanna be
- 29:44able to give back and be able to teach people and educate people on how to feed
- 29:47their animals to get the best results they can for that particular animal.
- 29:51Yeah.
- 29:51So
- 29:52Sam Silvers: that's- And we always try to say that o- on our side at our camps
- 29:55is, w- we'll get on the microphone and say, "Hey, take a look around at
- 29:58the banners hanging in here." These, these are the company and people
- 30:01that are supporting your children.
- 30:02Right.
- 30:02Support them.
- 30:03Right.
- 30:03Sure.
- 30:04You know?
- 30:04And we appreciate that.
- 30:04I hate to say it, but quit supporting the people that don't support you, right?
- 30:07Right.
- 30:07And y'all are always at the forefront of that, and appreciate that.
- 30:11Yeah.
- 30:11That's really neat.
- 30:12Logan Newsom 2: Well, and I think even, you know, you talk about it
- 30:13from an educational side, you know, as we're sitting here, if you're in
- 30:16Louisville at North American, I'd say make sure and, you know, stop by and
- 30:18get ya, you know, one of the pamphlets.
- 30:20But the, the one-page deals that you guys promote on Facebook- Awesome … I mean,
- 30:23like that is so… A- and you know, like, well, I've, I've said it before, like,
- 30:27you know, maybe from, you know, someone that's been involved in it, like sometimes
- 30:30you think about it a little bit, kinda being, you know, a little bit elementary.
- 30:33But like, you read that stuff and you look at it and it's like things can just click.
- 30:36You can think, "Oh," or, you know, maybe you got a sheep at home or you got a goat
- 30:39at home, you got a bear at home that's like you've kinda been struggling with.
- 30:42You've kinda been trying, you know, some stuff and some things just
- 30:44haven't worked, and you can read those deals and look at that and
- 30:47be like, "I wonder if I did that."
- 30:49And I think that's so good just from quick, easy little tidbits that- Yeah
- 30:53… folks that are just getting started could utilize, and even the most experienced-
- 30:56Right … you know, experts can look at and be like, "Dang, that's a good idea."
- 31:00Sam Silvers: Yeah.
- 31:00Yeah.
- 31:00If, if you're at Louisville and you're still struggling,
- 31:02stop by and get one of these.
- 31:04H- honestly.
- 31:05Yeah.
- 31:05I mean, 'cause it has, you know, breeding season, daily care, daily
- 31:08care, all the products that, that do everything and how to do it.
- 31:11And I mean, I don't know of anybody that's offering that kinda-
- 31:14Logan Newsom 2: Yep, absolutely.
- 31:15What is, uh, you know, as we talk about it, you know, here at the North American,
- 31:17you know, you guys have the booth.
- 31:19We're in booth…
- 31:20Amber Rule: this year we move back to when you first walk into the doors,
- 31:23um, from the mile-long hallway.
- 31:25We're right by Seidel, um, Equipment, so you literally cannot miss us if
- 31:30you're coming in from the sheep or goat barns, um, right when you walk in.
- 31:33So-
- 31:34Sam Silvers: Awesome
- 31:34Amber Rule: Yeah.
- 31:35Sam Silvers: Awesome.
- 31:35Logan Newsom 2: And what all will, what all does the booth look like as
- 31:38far as, you know, those guys that are listening that, you know, we have, have
- 31:40some people that m- might not be there.
- 31:42What all are you trying to accomplish?
- 31:44Obviously, there's stuff for sale there.
- 31:45Yep.
- 31:45Um, a ton of educational stuff.
- 31:47Yep.
- 31:47You know, uh, reps and, you know, people in-house there that can, you know, answer
- 31:52questions and talk about it, but what else does the booth look like as far as
- 31:56for some of those folks that might not be able to make the North American this time?
- 31:58Amber Rule: Lots of purple.
- 32:00Um, we have a lot of just our products in general, um, things that you
- 32:04would need for show day, um, some of our newer products that just
- 32:08launched out, um, halters, muzzles.
- 32:12I mean, things that you might need to pick up for you're at the show, you
- 32:15forgot something, or, hey, it's Christmas, 'cause this is kind of like- Absolutely
- 32:20cowboy Christmas/Louisville, right?
- 32:22Yeah.
- 32:22Like, everybody, it's cowboy Christmas.
- 32:23So, um, if you're not able to go to Vegas, uh, Louisville would be
- 32:27the second-best option, I guess.
- 32:28Tyson Rule: Yeah.
- 32:29You know, a couple things that I like about the booth is, you know, it, it
- 32:31allows us to hit some of those big wins that we've had from some of our, you
- 32:34know, long-term customers- Oh, yeah
- 32:35that, you know- For sure … you know, they get to come in, see, see
- 32:37themselves on banners or whether it's the scrolling TV or if you wanna just
- 32:40come in for a while and watch the, uh, you know, the cattle show- Watch the
- 32:43shows … cattle shows, and we'll have the T- you know, we'll have the live
- 32:45broadcast going on at the booth also.
- 32:47And just kinda maybe like, "Hey, I need to get out of the barn.
- 32:49It's a little dusty," or, you know, um- Absolutely … "My n-
- 32:51my neighbor's Crock-Pot's smelling a little bit too much," you know?
- 32:54"I need, I need to get out there." Or maybe
- 32:55Amber Rule: you should just bring me a bite of your neighbor's Crock-Pot food.
- 32:57Yeah,
- 32:57Tyson Rule: it's a lot better than b- as long as it's not, it's biscuits and gravy.
- 32:59Biscuits and gravy.
- 33:00So, uh, but, you know, I, I like the fact that, you know, in theory, "Hey, you need
- 33:03a break for a little bit at the barns?
- 33:05Let's go to the booth," and you can go watch the shows for a little bit or,
- 33:07you know, go fi- Hang out … go hang out or, you know, "Hey, you know, we're
- 33:09gonna have, you know, some of the, some of the pig guys will be on-site, or
- 33:12some of our repro guys will be there.
- 33:14You know, get to talk to, talk to them, ask them questions, you
- 33:16know, find out a bit more about the products, find out a bit more about
- 33:18the company while you're here."
- 33:19Sam Silvers: Yeah, and some of that- Yeah, for sure … Rule Supplements merch too.
- 33:22I mean- Oh, yeah … there's some really cool shirts and caps-
- 33:24Yeah, we'll get some stuff, yeah
- 33:25and things like that.
- 34:42Logan Newsom 2: Yeah.
- 34:42No, that's, uh, that's, that's kind of what, you know, I know that we've got a
- 34:45lot of listeners that might, you know, have not been able to, to make it out, and
- 34:48so I just wanted to let everyone know what they were missing out on and all the good
- 34:51stuff that, that these guys had to offer.
- 34:52But,
- 34:53Sam Silvers: I've got a couple questions.
- 34:54I wanna put him on the spot a little bit.
- 34:56Logan Newsom 2: Oh, boy.
- 34:56Hot takes.
- 34:57Can you, can you, can you produce another hot take?
- 35:00Sam Silvers: Yeah, I can always produce those.
- 35:01Now, it's just gonna depend on, uh… Yeah, no, let's
- 35:05just not go there this time.
- 35:07Okay.
- 35:07I w- I want your, I want your top three products at Rule Supplements.
- 35:11Your, your favorite three, not your top three.
- 35:13Your favorite three and your favorite three
- 35:16Tyson Rule: Do you want, do you want, and why, or do I just
- 35:18want the top three products?
- 35:20Sam Silvers: Uh, yeah, give me the why, too.
- 35:23Tyson Rule: Um, top three products.
- 35:25I'm gonna throw out my favorite is Race Day.
- 35:28Okay.
- 35:28'Cause I feel like that's the product that we helped, uh, work on on the front side,
- 35:32uh, with our nutrition in California.
- 35:33I feel it's still kind of an underutilized product that I think- Mm-hmm … gives
- 35:36us, uh, you know, the w- when we use it internally, I think gives us a
- 35:39huge advantage- Yeah … as far as shape, expression, uh, hydration,
- 35:43uh, extra bulk and shape of muscle.
- 35:45You know, we've u- figured out a lot of different ways to use it, where it
- 35:48used to be just kinda the last little two-week push, and now we're actually
- 35:50us- utilizing it 60 days out to kinda, in theory, com- compounding the advantages.
- 35:55So, uh, that's my favorite product that we still carry.
- 35:57Sam Silvers: Okay.
- 35:58Tyson Rule: Um, I love Bark.
- 36:00So, I mean- And how.
- 36:01Yeah, sorry, babe.
- 36:02But, you know- Um, you know, I just think it's a product that, you know, in
- 36:06theory it can put on the right amount of condition, the right amount of top
- 36:09shape, the right amount of spread, and it does it in a slow, consistent
- 36:12process, where that's been one of those deals that we feel like h- has given
- 36:16us a huge advantage on touch and tone.
- 36:18Um- Sure … you know, both in, you know, just basically learning
- 36:21the goat world in the last coup- you know, last year and a half.
- 36:23Uh, but you know, watching that deal for a while and, you know,
- 36:25what it's done for the sheep, and I know the pig guys would… You
- 36:27know, they've known about it forever.
- 36:28I mean, Jason Lock- Sure
- 36:29he's done, and his crew, has done a great job of getting it promoted out there.
- 36:32Sam Silvers: Well, and it's, it's funny you bring that up, 'cause we were, we
- 36:34were out here this summer- Mm-hmm … um, looking at some sheep and looking at some
- 36:38of Mav's, you know, and I told you that.
- 36:39I was like, "Man, they look so smooth, and, and they look like they're
- 36:43gonna handle kind of, like, off."
- 36:45But then when I put my hand… And I told you, that was unscripted.
- 36:48Mm-hmm.
- 36:48I remember that.
- 36:48I didn't know what they were on.
- 36:49Uh, but you put your hands on 'em, and they're, they're like a pipe.
- 36:52Tyson Rule: it's, it's nice to be the guy that's been doing it
- 36:54for 30 years because, you know, we've been doing it for 30 years.
- 36:57And, uh, along that with it you get some extra tricks of the trade.
- 37:00And, you know, with that I think that, you know, Bark's one of those products
- 37:02that we just, between that and Race Day, we just love across the board.
- 37:05And I think it makes a huge difference on handling characteristics, and it's
- 37:08hard for people that, you know, don't get to be at the, at the, I guess,
- 37:11the elite level to understand that.
- 37:13But-
- 37:13Sam Silvers: Yeah
- 37:13… Tyson Rule: us guys that, you know, do kinda, we play to try to go win,
- 37:16I mean, that's, you know, it's a noticeable difference on that side.
- 37:19Sam Silvers: Sure.
- 37:19Tyson Rule: Third?
- 37:20Oof.
- 37:21Um, I'm gonna throw Purify out there, to be honest.
- 37:24Okay.
- 37:24Uh, it's a newer product that we just started picking up, uh, I
- 37:26guess in the last year and a half.
- 37:27I, I've had a g- a lot of success with Formula.
- 37:29Uh, I had a lot of success with Total Care.
- 37:31Uh, we're currently pushing Pr- Purify, uh, as our number one kinda,
- 37:35I guess, probiotic, prebiotic.
- 37:37Uh, the dekocks and keeping coccidia out of our animals has been awesome.
- 37:41And the consumption, I mean, it's actually helps… You know, we have… You know,
- 37:44it's funny, like we can wet feed every single one of our animals on feed right
- 37:47now- Uh, because they'll just go to it.
- 37:49We, you know, get, get the feed mixed up, we make it wet, and we
- 37:51throw Purify on top of it, and those things will just devour our feed.
- 37:55So I mean, that's a thing that we everybody talks about on our side is
- 37:57like, you know, it's amazing that we can be wet feeding all summer long,
- 38:00all winter, you know, all winter long, and sometimes that makes it harder
- 38:03for sheep to get picky and so forth.
- 38:04Sam Silvers: Sure.
- 38:05Tyson Rule: With the Purify product, that's been one that's been, you know,
- 38:07as far as been a changer for us as far as being able to get prepared for
- 38:10stock shows, get prepared for where, hey, I can't drench at this, you know,
- 38:13at our county fair or state fair.
- 38:15By adding that in, it s- seems like it's made it a very, very easy option for us.
- 38:19Sam Silvers: Great.
- 38:19There-
- 38:19Tyson Rule: That's, that's my top three.
- 38:20Sam Silvers: There's your hot take.
- 38:22Tyson's, Tyson's top three.
- 38:24Tyson's top
- 38:24Logan Newsom 2: three?
- 38:25Okay, what
- 38:25Sam Silvers: about
- 38:25Logan Newsom 2: Amber?
- 38:26Sam Silvers: Come on, Amber.
- 38:26Oh,
- 38:26Amber Rule: gosh.
- 38:27Tyson Rule: You can't say leg wraps, leg wraps, and more leg wraps.
- 38:29Amber Rule: Oh, come on.
- 38:30Partial to the leg wraps.
- 38:32Um, top three, I'm probably gonna say Shredded because Tyson did
- 38:37not mention Shredded, and I…
- 38:39That's been one of our first products and still around today, still utilized today.
- 38:45Um-
- 38:45Sam Silvers: Works great
- 38:46… Amber Rule: works wonderful.
- 38:47Um, that's gonna be my one Two, I'm gonna say SureShine- Mm … even
- 38:53though everybody hated the sprayers.
- 38:55We have fixed that.
- 38:55Just
- 38:56Sam Silvers: Logan.
- 38:56Logan
- 38:56Amber Rule: was the only one.
- 38:57Ju- nah, I mean, everybody kind
- 38:58Logan Newsom 2: of hated the sprayers.
- 38:58The- well, let's talk, let's be honest.
- 39:00There was a benefit to the sprayer.
- 39:01Amber Rule: There was.
- 39:02Logan Newsom 2: For someone like me, if I, if it, if it got on my hand, I
- 39:06could run it through my hair- … and I could get some- Because he
- 39:08Amber Rule: has these luscious locks
- 39:08… Logan Newsom 2: and I, and I could get some extra shine.
- 39:10Me too So, so it wasn't all bad.
- 39:11I mean, I use it
- 39:11Amber Rule: on
- 39:11Logan Newsom 2: mine too.
- 39:11Yeah, it wasn't- On it … yeah, see, like you just- We're all about
- 39:13the hair … well, Sam coulda- Hair care … dusted his beard with it
- 39:16Amber Rule: Oh, like smoothing out the beard?
- 39:17Yeah.
- 39:17Yeah.
- 39:17Sam Silvers: Um- I have been taking better care of my beard hair lately.
- 39:19You need- You didn't even mention nothing on it today.
- 39:21Oh.
- 39:21Is it shining a little better?
- 39:22Logan Newsom 2: Did you put SureShine in it?
- 39:24Sam Silvers: No, I d- Maybe that's- The lady sold me- … whole purpose
- 39:25… some stuff at the barber shop.
- 39:26Oh.
- 39:27I was like, "Yeah, put it in."
- 39:28Tyson Rule: We need to get on SureShine
- 39:29Amber Rule: for it.
- 39:29Yeah, we need to get him on SureShine.
- 39:30Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 39:31Um, I'm gonna say that's one.
- 39:32Um, we did change our bottles, which they're here at Louisville.
- 39:35Um, praise Jesus.
- 39:37Tyson Rule: Yeah.
- 39:37They've been, they've been awesome so far on the bottles.
- 39:39So, I mean, we've been now… We, we, we trialed, I think, 14 different bottles.
- 39:42Amber Rule: Oh my gosh.
- 39:43Tyson Rule: And you know, we, uh, yeah.
- 39:44Amber Rule: Our whole warehouse- I- … smelled like SureShine for
- 39:46months, I went like- Which, which,
- 39:48Sam Silvers: which isn't on- I can't, I can't say what we call it.
- 39:49Amber Rule: I'm afraid if I put it on- Uh, I know neither.
- 39:50I wasn't gonna say it, but-
- 39:51Logan Newsom 2: Oh, that's, that's been the name that
- 39:53Sam Silvers: I've called it since day one.
- 39:53If I put it on my beard, Jurahee's gonna be like, "Where have you been?"
- 39:56Logan Newsom 2: She'll know.
- 39:57She will.
- 39:58She'll never question that.
- 39:59But SureShine, like how long has that, have you guys carried that product?
- 40:02That's been a-
- 40:03Tyson Rule: so Darby Ross started the product.
- 40:04Sure, yep.
- 40:04Uh, and you know, that was one of those products that, you know, she
- 40:07had a, you know, had a great product.
- 40:09Uh, distribution was tough to get to feed stores- Right … and get it
- 40:12out to customers on a daily basis.
- 40:13And you know, she's at a livestock show, and she'd come back and have 40
- 40:16orders and 40 customers sitting there waiting for product for the last week.
- 40:19And so we picked it up, I would assume, ballpark 2021-ish.
- 40:24That's
- 40:24Logan Newsom 2: what I was gonna- Yeah.
- 40:24I mean, it's been, yeah, four
- 40:25Tyson Rule: or
- 40:25Logan Newsom 2: five years.
- 40:25Tyson Rule: Yep.
- 40:25You know, and, uh, you know, we, we've gone through the, you know,
- 40:28some of the struggles that she had also was, uh, buying scale.
- 40:32I mean, I remember they wanted her to buy 30,000 bottles at one time to be able to,
- 40:35you know, get, get the, the last order she could possibly ever place, and it was
- 40:38just too much, you know, you know, too mu- you know, too much overhead to cover.
- 40:42You know, we started and, you know, were able to pick up a lot of that.
- 40:45Then we were trying to improve on the bottle since we know those
- 40:48were being discontinued, and, uh, the product's been awesome.
- 40:51You know, we went to a little more refill-based system for the guys
- 40:53that had the original spray bottles.
- 40:55Yep.
- 40:55Uh, and we also went to, you know, you know, our, we've been trying for the last
- 40:59year and a half, two years, just different sprays, so you know, we, where we knew
- 41:02it'd work on the first day you used it, and then the hard part was, you know,
- 41:05what would it, what would it be doing after six months, you know- Yeah, and I-
- 41:08sitting in the tack box?
- 41:08I had kind of told customers-
- 41:09Amber Rule: And that's what we finally got to work out … customers too,
- 41:10you know, when they're traveling, just to put the, um, the refill lid back
- 41:14on it and put it in your tack box.
- 41:15Um, something with the traveling, um, and the build-up with- in the rings
- 41:19inside would cause it to spill out.
- 41:21So that was just a tidbit that I gave information on or tip on.
- 41:25Logan Newsom 2: Yeah, but no question.
- 41:26I mean, that's been, and I feel like there's probably been a few- It,
- 41:29yeah … products that have come through that have tried to maybe mimic
- 41:31it, but, like, that's been a staple- Yeah … for four or five years.
- 41:34Yeah.
- 41:34I mean, it's- Absolutely
- 41:35yeah, when we're getting legs, I mean,
- 41:36Amber Rule: it matters.
- 41:36I mean, and you can use it on your hair if you really… I mean, Maverick does all
- 41:40the time, like- We use it on Maverick's
- 41:41Tyson Rule: hair- Right … whenever we realize- … we have nothing else.
- 41:42Yeah.
- 41:42And he, he's got his weird mullet cut.
- 41:44Yeah.
- 41:45Yeah.
- 41:47Amber Rule: We're back there spraying.
- 41:47Yeah, so that's, uh, so- Okay, so we have Sure Shine.
- 41:49We have Sure Shine.
- 41:49I am gonna, um, I'm just gonna say Goop and Glow.
- 41:53Goop.
- 41:53I'm just gonna throw that right out there.
- 41:54Sam Silvers: Oh, okay.
- 41:55Amber Rule: Yeah.
- 41:56Yeah.
- 41:56See, we have this now.
- 41:57This is- Our, our friends, uh, the Haffman Livestock Crew come out with
- 42:00this, and it's here in Louisville.
- 42:02Um- Jamie,
- 42:02Logan Newsom 2: for you guys that don't know- Jamie
- 42:04she was on our episode- She was, in case you, uh- … um, you know, a
- 42:06Amber Rule: few
- 42:06Logan Newsom 2: weeks ago
- 42:07… Amber Rule: missed that.
- 42:08Logan Newsom 2: Um- If anyone didn't catch that, feel
- 42:09Amber Rule: free to jump in and- I'm sure nobody really missed that … take a
- 42:10Logan Newsom 2: gander.
- 42:11Sam Silvers: Watch the full podcast.
- 42:12Amber Rule: Watch the full podcast, yes.
- 42:14Yeah.
- 42:14But wonderful product.
- 42:16Um, we actually kind of fight over it at our house because we use it
- 42:19on our hair and livestock hair.
- 42:22Um, even Maverick steals it.
- 42:24Yeah.
- 42:24Don't tell him I told you guys that.
- 42:25Tyson Rule: You know, we- we- Oh, I'm gonna- We've lo- We've
- 42:27loved haircare for a long time.
- 42:29You know, I, I know, you know, a lot of the c- a lot of the
- 42:31industry has kind of made fun of me 'cause I like big shaggy legs.
- 42:33I mean, I've liked them since the 2013, '14 range.
- 42:36And so we- we've tried almost, I bet, every single haircare product
- 42:41out there, you know, and- Yeah, and
- 42:42Amber Rule: I hate
- 42:42Tyson Rule: not
- 42:42Amber Rule: calling out everything that we distribute- Yeah … but
- 42:45Tyson Rule: I agree.
- 42:45You know, and I would say that, you know, there's, you know, there's
- 42:48some that work, there's some that absolutely do not work, you know.
- 42:50And what we've kind of came up with the fact that there's some that work
- 42:52better on a certain ty- hair type, and there's some that work better on another.
- 42:54Right.
- 42:55Sure.
- 42:55And you know, and rather than trying to have people, like I said, have to go to
- 42:58three or four different locations to buy it, we've just decided that, you know,
- 43:00hey, you know, haircare and, you know, presentation is so important now, we're
- 43:03going to take the ones that we've tried that we know that work, and we've been…
- 43:07We were trying Goop before it was Goop, I guess.
- 43:09So that's, uh, Jamie led us in on the front side of that deal.
- 43:12And, uh, we know which one's work and the, on which products, and we're just gonna,
- 43:15you know, let, you know, sh- have another division of Rule Supplements that'll c-
- 43:18you know, be towards presentation, towards haircare, towards skin and hide and hair.
- 43:22Sam Silvers: Right.
- 43:23Logan Newsom 2: Yeah.
- 43:23Well, and I think that that's a neat… You know, we hit on it a little bit,
- 43:25and you talked about Darby, you talked about Jamie, you know, and some of these
- 43:28products that weren't necessarily maybe developed in-house, I think that's a
- 43:32very unique opportunity that if there is someone out there that, you know, created
- 43:37something in their basement, in their garage, you know, and they've been using
- 43:40it, and they've kind of been selling it.
- 43:41But we've all been there, you know, like the struggles of, of buying 30,000
- 43:44units- Right … buying, you know, 10 boxes of 10-pound buckets from Uline.
- 43:49Like, what, uh, what that looks like if you just have maybe a single product, I
- 43:53know you're not gonna carry every single product that everybody comes up with.
- 43:57But if it's a product that's established, like you guys aren't
- 43:59afraid to jump in and say- Right
- 44:01"Hey, let's, let's see what this looks like in our portfolio," and if it fits,
- 44:04I mean, it could be a great opportunity for, you know, that- Right … you know,
- 44:06that beginning entrepreneur and, you know, kind of what they want to try to get
- 44:09started and get some products out there.
- 44:10Sam Silvers: Well, yeah, if it fits, it ships.
- 44:12That,
- 44:13Tyson Rule: that is a great slogan, so get ready for a T-shirt next week, you know.
- 44:19Amber Rule: I'm on it.
- 44:20Sam Silvers: So a- as we're getting close to kind of wrapping up here at
- 44:23Louisville, um, talk to us about the, the f- the future of Rule Supplements.
- 44:28What do you… I mean, you've had these personal conversations about, you know,
- 44:31what, what, what's, what's it like?
- 44:33What's on the horizon for Rule Supplements?
- 45:45Tyson Rule: You know, I think a, a lot of education.
- 45:47Uh, you know, we wanna get more, you know, more knowledge out to the
- 45:50customer base is, uh, w- is what we're trying to figure out a lot of.
- 45:53You know, trying to figure out how do we do that in an economical standpoint,
- 45:56where we talked about staying lean and mean, you know, at the same
- 45:58point so we can keep our costs down.
- 46:00You know, but our goal is, you know, to, to get higher quality
- 46:02products to our customers at the, you know, best price possible.
- 46:05Sam Silvers: Yep.
- 46:05Tyson Rule: You know, and that, you know, whether that be, you know,
- 46:08I call it a SKU, but if there's 40 products or whether it's 140 products,
- 46:11that's kind of our, our goal.
- 46:12Yeah.
- 46:13Sam Silvers: Yeah.
- 46:13Tyson Rule: You know, and, and in an efficient process where, you know,
- 46:15whether it's a feed store that needs to have it, you know, in that week,
- 46:17or if it's a, you know, end user that need it, you know, in two days.
- 46:20I mean, so we're trying to make that, figure out the, the business side of
- 46:24the process to get that all to them in the most economically way possible.
- 46:27Sam Silvers: And, and it's, y- you know, you say that, a- and I, me and
- 46:31you've talked about this too, is I, I'll go buy something and I'm like, "Oh,
- 46:36shit, y'all carry that too," you know?
- 46:37Like, I-
- 46:39Amber Rule: Mm-hmm.
- 46:39Sam Silvers: If getting the, the amount of products that y'all do carry out
- 46:41there and letting the general public know- Right … like, "Hey, if, if you
- 46:45need it, they probably got it." Yep.
- 46:47Amber Rule: Yep.
- 46:47Sam Silvers: So-
- 46:48Amber Rule: We brought a little bit of everything here to the
- 46:49booth, um, I'd say for the most part, a little bit of everything.
- 46:52Yep.
- 46:53Um, obviously limited supplies 'cause Amber can only pull so much in the
- 46:58trailer, but- Yep … we already went… Well, we won't go down that road.
- 47:01Yeah,
- 47:01Tyson Rule: we,
- 47:01Amber Rule: we, we ran out of- Our Louisville
- 47:02Rule Episode Main w Audio: stores
- 47:02… Tyson Rule: a couple products already, and Amber's grumpy with me- … because
- 47:05I would let her pack more than what we could t- you know, carry.
- 47:08Amber Rule: I blew out a couple tires one year getting to Louisville
- 47:10with the- Oh … enclosed trailer.
- 47:11It was real great, so,
- 47:12Logan Newsom 2: What's, what's the, what's the number one product that you guys sell?
- 47:15What's the number one SKU that goes out the door, like, without question,
- 47:17you're like, "I know we're gonna ship that out every single day"?
- 47:19Tyson Rule: I would say Bark is one of the, our, our favorite products
- 47:21that- Bark Surshine … Surshine, that goes out across the board.
- 47:23Just-
- 47:24Amber Rule: Yeah.
- 47:24Tyson Rule: Or Thick.
- 47:25Yeah, it's, it's- Thick Grazing
- 47:26Logan Newsom 2: Thick, Thick's a product, yeah, I mean, we didn't, uh-
- 47:28Tyson Rule: It, it- We didn't get it … depends a lot on the, on the time of year.
- 47:30Logan Newsom 2: Seasonally.
- 47:30Yeah.
- 47:30Seasonal.
- 47:30You know, seasonal stuff.
- 47:31Yeah.
- 47:31So there's certain- I'm just curious what that looks like, you know, like-
- 47:34Yeah … you know, those established products, you know, like, A, without
- 47:36question, like if that pallet's getting low we gotta, we gotta re-up
- 47:39'cause it's- Yep … it's time.
- 47:40Yep.
- 47:41Yeah.
- 47:41Amber Rule: And I- I, it probably, like you said, depends on the time of year.
- 47:44Um, the feed guys, you know, we're all about education and
- 47:47getting that information out.
- 47:48Um, the feed guys are on the front pave of our, page of our website, so
- 47:52depends on if you're starting your lamb or if you're at the show, I
- 47:54mean, on what they're gonna buy, um.
- 47:56Yep.
- 47:57Sam Silvers: Really neat.
- 47:57Amber Rule: we have Goop, we have Glow launching, um, here at Louisville.
- 48:02We also have our H2 product that's gonna be launching here.
- 48:05Yeah.
- 48:05And, um- Yeah,
- 48:06Tyson Rule: I think that's a product that a lot of Texas guys know about-
- 48:08Yeah, a lot of Texas guys … right now.
- 48:09Yep.
- 48:09But hasn't probably been a nationwide product, and I think as far as, like,
- 48:12on the daily hair care, I mean, we've, we've tried all of them, you know, as
- 48:16far as what you spray on on a daily basis, and I think that's been one
- 48:18of the products that we feel like has strengthened our hair follicles.
- 48:21A- as you grow that stuff and it gets longer and longer, I mean, it gets…
- 48:23it's, it's harder to keep it healthy.
- 48:25Sam Silvers: Yeah.
- 48:26Tyson Rule: And trying to keep it thick and dense, and that's been o- one of our
- 48:28go-to products the last, you know, I guess four or five months as far as on this
- 48:32season, especially when it's hot outside.
- 48:33I mean, it's a little bit different when it was up north
- 48:35and it was a little cooler.
- 48:36Mm-hmm.
- 48:36But as you're going through that, you know, in the seasons of, uh, the
- 48:39Texas heats and the Oklahoma heats, I mean, that, that product's worked
- 48:42great as far as not getting it greasy, not weighing it down, and making the,
- 48:45you know, the hair follicle and the hair particle itself just stronger.
- 48:47Sam Silvers: Yep.
- 48:48Great product.
- 48:48Logan Newsom 2: Yep.
- 48:49Great-
- 48:49Sam Silvers: Great people behind it,
- 48:50Logan Newsom 2: too.
- 48:50Yep.
- 48:50Yep.
- 48:50Big supporters of Drenchline.
- 48:51I know Sam's used that… Y- y'all have used that for
- 48:53what, probably two years now?
- 48:54I mean-
- 48:55Sam Silvers: Yeah … kinda since the- Maybe going on three now.
- 48:57Yeah.
- 48:57I don't know.
- 48:57When it first came out, we started using it.
- 48:59Tyson Rule: Yeah.
- 48:59That's one thing I, I like, you know, s- as far as, like, why we're at
- 49:01Louisville, when people ask, you know, "Hey, what can we do at the booth?"
- 49:03You know, if there's a new product out there that, you know, that you utilize,
- 49:06that, you know, you're trying to figure out, hey, more people need to know about
- 49:08this product, come talk to us about it, 'cause we, you know, we love finding out
- 49:11about the new things that are out there and, you know, we're gonna try it for,
- 49:14you know, s- six months, you know, to a year to find out whether how it fits
- 49:17in, or we're gonna ask a whole lot of people and a whole lot of questions.
- 49:20Uh, but you know, if it's a product that we think, you know, makes sense,
- 49:23you know, and more people need to know about it, I mean, we'd love to, you
- 49:25know, love to start carrying those.
- 49:26Logan Newsom 2: Well, I don't think there's any question, I mean, from, from
- 49:29start to finish, um, you know, if you're a first-year, uh, sheep kid, goat kid-
- 49:36Pig kit, cattle kit, I mean, brushes, hair care, muzzles, blankets, base feed-
- 49:43Sam Silvers: Wraps
- 49:44Logan Newsom 2: wraps, uh, stock show supplements, you know, stock show
- 49:48secrets, all of the, like, you know, a good, good chunk of their stuff's here.
- 49:51Obviously, you know, we've talked a little bit about Gold Dust, you know,
- 49:54last week whenever, whenever that was, whenever we had, had Driven.
- 49:56But I don't, I can't, I was looking around here, you know, just looking
- 50:00at what's in the booth and, you know, thinking about what we use at home,
- 50:03what we use at a show, and like, I don't know if there's really anything
- 50:05that I'm just like, "Hey- They
- 50:06Sam Silvers: got it all.
- 50:06Tyson Rule: Yeah.
- 50:07We got Judy- It's here … Judy's Western Wear over on the side.
- 50:09We love her canvas blankets.
- 50:10I know she's a s- sponsor of your guys' event.
- 50:12Absolutely.
- 50:12Sam Silvers: Supported us as
- 50:13Tyson Rule: well.
- 50:13Sam Silvers: And-
- 50:13Amber Rule: Yeah, that's- We've had her on our, um… We've been
- 50:15carrying her stuff for a long time.
- 50:17About
- 50:17Tyson Rule: four, five, six years now.
- 50:18Amber Rule: Five, six years.
- 50:19Yeah.
- 50:19Tyson Rule: Yeah.
- 50:20Yeah.
- 50:20They're the, the best blankets in the country.
- 50:22I mean, so- Sure … it's one of those deals that- For sure … when, when
- 50:24you have kids that have been showing for 15 years, it makes a difference.
- 50:26So you, you know, bad for her 'cause she can't resell stuff
- 50:29as often, but, you know- Yeah.
- 50:30… good, good for us, uh, you know, frugal parents who wanna spend more
- 50:32money on livestock and less- Right
- 50:33and supplements and
- 50:34less money on blankets, so.
- 51:03Logan Newsom 2: we've talked Rule.
- 51:04We've talked about some of, you know, the base feeds.
- 51:06We've talked about, you know, the backstory.
- 51:09Louisville, huge, huge opportunities, huge moments have
- 51:13happened here for y'all's family.
- 51:15Yeah.
- 51:15Um- You were a
- 51:16Amber Rule: part of it one time.
- 51:16Logan Newsom 2: Yeah, one time.
- 51:17Um, what, what is, what is Tyson or Amber's favorite Louisville moment?
- 51:23Tyson Rule: I'm jumping on this one.
- 51:24So, uh, I actually made a post about this, 'cause I thought it
- 51:26was, you know, so amazing for me.
- 51:27But we had a 10-year-old Maverick, uh, at Louisville showing us out down
- 51:31the Grand Drive, and And we struggled forever with, you know, you know, the
- 51:35kid only weighs 80 pounds as a, you know-
- 51:37as, as a sixth grader, so we're, you know, Shep understands, you know-
- 51:40Yeah … Sam and I are on that same page.
- 51:41But, you know, we struggled forever, and I couldn't get him to go set a back leg.
- 51:45He wanted to be the, "Hey, I'm gonna push this thing back into shape." I'm like,
- 51:47"You know, buddy, your sheep's too good.
- 51:48You're gonna have to learn how to set a back leg."
- 51:50You know, finally in the, in the Grand Drive at Louisville, I mean,
- 51:53Maverick went back there and, you know, actually s- you know, set a
- 51:55back, you know, off show side back leg.
- 51:57You know, sheep never moved, got it set up, and, you know, it was fun
- 52:00for me to watch him actually stick that thing as well as, you know- Mm
- 52:02the 18 to 21-year-old kids are out there, and then, you know, get
- 52:06rewarded on it, too, as being top five.
- 52:07Yeah.
- 52:08Logan Newsom 2: So
- 52:08Tyson Rule: that was-
- 52:08Logan Newsom 2: Yeah.
- 52:08Yeah, I was gonna say- Yeah … that, that one- That one … slipped in there and-
- 52:10Yeah … got, got in on the big action.
- 52:12Tyson Rule: Yeah.
- 52:12That's fun.
- 52:12Ma- Madison was fun for us on that side.
- 52:14I guess it's probably, I'm gonna jump on Amber, 'cause I mean, I know that
- 52:16that was, that's her big deal, but- Yeah
- 52:18that was, uh, as we were trying to get Madison to win every one of the
- 52:20national shows, I mean, that was, uh, you know, we took that sheep there and,
- 52:23you know, sat, sat him home over Kansas City knowing that that, you know, he
- 52:27was gonna be a home run hitter, so-
- 52:28Amber Rule: Yeah
- 52:29… Tyson Rule: and look good on the big stage.
- 52:30Amber Rule: Yeah, that was, that was an incredible year for her.
- 52:32Um, Kansas City, uh, and Louisville the same year was, it was kind of
- 52:37awesome, um, all on Rule Supplements.
- 52:40Nice little plug to ourselves.
- 52:41Yeah.
- 52:41But, um, yeah, it was fun.
- 52:44Uh, Logan was actually the judge that year, that-
- 52:47Tyson Rule: He didn't like us, to be honest, you know, at that point- … so
- 52:49we were, we were pretty nervous and pretty scared of showing to him at that point.
- 52:51But, you know, he- Scared
- 52:53Logan Newsom 2: of this guy?
- 52:53Pretty intimidating, you know?
- 52:54Amber Rule: So-
- 52:55Tyson Rule: He liked them exotic.
- 52:56You know, he was, he was back on that tall and up and out phase.
- 52:59And then, you know, we knew that he was a Texan at heart, so we
- 53:01just- … we, we took the big, thick one.
- 53:02Exotic,
- 53:02Sam Silvers: like his hair and dress code?
- 53:03Tyson Rule: Yeah.
- 53:04We knew that, we knew that shag was important at that point, so.
- 53:06Yeah.
- 53:06Sam Silvers: Yeah, absolutely.
- 53:07Amber Rule: That was probably a, a, a big highlight of Louisville
- 53:09for me anyway, was that moment, um, and reliving that moment, and yeah.
- 53:14Tyson Rule: What about you, Sam?
- 53:15You got any big, uh, moments from Louisville?
- 53:17Sam Silvers: Uh, there's several that I could mention- … when I
- 53:20was younger that, that, uh, probably not suitable for public knowledge.
- 53:24We
- 53:24Amber Rule: said we had
- 53:24Sam Silvers: to
- 53:24Amber Rule: keep it PG-13, right?
- 53:25Rule Episode Main w Audio: Um,
- 53:25Sam Silvers: yeah, yeah, PG-13.
- 53:27Okay.
- 53:27We used to have a lot of fun there.
- 53:28Um, pro- y- you know, as in my adult life, probably the biggest was, was
- 53:32watching State win the Southdowns there.
- 53:34Yeah.
- 53:34Yep.
- 53:34Um, that was really cool.
- 53:36Um, Jim just happened to be there.
- 53:38It was a gopher.
- 53:39Jim just happened to be there- Yeah
- 53:40with the judging team.
- 53:41He didn't know we were taking a sheep, and he came over and watched, and, and
- 53:44she won, and, and, you know, it was a big deal for us, but like you said,
- 53:48for the Midwesterners, it's an even bigger de- and Jim was just in tears.
- 53:51Yeah.
- 53:51Aw.
- 53:51Like, 'cause he had never done that.
- 53:52I remember that.
- 53:52Yeah.
- 53:53And, and that was really, really cool.
- 53:54That was fun.
- 53:54I mean- That was awesome … just to be a part of that.
- 53:56Logan Newsom 2: Yep.
- 53:56I think that's the crazy part.
- 53:59Whenever I first started coming, to the North American, like, just not ever, we
- 54:03never came as, you know, kids showing.
- 54:05Like, we didn't, we didn't come up here and do it.
- 54:07Sydney came there one year whenever, I don't know, she was kinda
- 54:11midway through her show career.
- 54:12But we came up there a couple of times, maybe to watch, but, like, just- How,
- 54:18and I'm, I'm not downplaying this, you know, but it's just, it was such
- 54:21a, it felt like for the m- you know, folks that have been coming for a long
- 54:25time, it's the exact same way like we feel if you get along at Houston.
- 54:27Some folks, you know, if they win Houston, some folks if you win a class, I mean,
- 54:31it's just such a big stage, and whenever you get fortunate enough and get lucky
- 54:36enough to slip one in there, I remember when Joe had reserved Dorset- Mm-hmm
- 54:40you know, and like, I'll be honest, like for a Texan, you know, I'm kinda
- 54:43like, "Oh, wow, we were reserved Dorset." Like, you know, like that
- 54:45wasn't that big a deal, but like-
- 54:46Sam Silvers: Just don't tell anybody at home.
- 54:47Logan Newsom 2: Yeah.
- 54:47No, like we don't, we didn't, we, we didn't, we didn't promote that picture.
- 54:50Uh, we didn't get a banner made.
- 54:51You know, we didn't do anything.
- 54:53Uh, full disclosure, it was a Fine Wool.
- 54:55They just made us show it in the Dorsets.
- 54:57But you know, like it was just such a huge deal.
- 54:59I mean, that show is so big and has the, the reputation, the history, and
- 55:03what it's, you know, what it's done.
- 55:04And you know, if you are a stock show enthusiast and you come up here, I think
- 55:09the unique part, this is one thing that I've always really, really enjoyed, I
- 55:12like going and watching the other stuff.
- 55:14I like going and watching like the frame sheep and, you know, maybe
- 55:16some of the purebred stuff Those guys are just as crazy as we are Oh,
- 55:20Sam Silvers: 100%.
- 55:21Logan Newsom 2: You know?
- 55:21And just to sit and watch and see how passionate they can be, and just
- 55:26listen and just see, you know, dialogue back and forth and what they're
- 55:30doing to prep and get ready, like-
- 55:32Sam Silvers: And the sales that are going on too.
- 55:34Yeah.
- 55:34I
- 55:34Logan Newsom 2: mean, there's a lot going on.
- 55:35Yeah, I mean, it's just such a unique experience that if you haven't had a
- 55:37chance to come up and you are involved in this or got young kids and, and,
- 55:41and wanna play this game at a high level, it's something I don't think,
- 55:43without question, you better, you better come up and, and just sit and watch.
- 55:47Like, I know we've had some families before that literally sat in the stands
- 55:50with their kid and just watched the show.
- 55:52Sam Silvers: Well, a- and I think too, you know, the kids can show
- 55:54at a younger age at Louisville too.
- 55:56Yeah.
- 55:56So that was something that we did.
- 55:57We always made sure to take Shep up there, and he had two…
- 56:00What is it, two or three years of experience on a really big stage- Mm
- 56:05… before we ever showed at the Texas Majors.
- 56:07Texas Majors.
- 56:07Yeah.
- 56:07And, you know, the first time he goes in the ring at the Texas Major, it's,
- 56:11you know, he's not starstruck, you know?
- 56:12Not looking up at the lights- For sure … and chasing the birds and all that stuff.
- 56:15He's been there before.
- 56:16Yep.
- 56:16So that, that's kind of a neat thing about Louisville too, is if you're, if
- 56:19you wanna be serious about it- Absolutely … get your kids to Louisville.
- 56:22Do showmanship, learn.
- 56:24Logan Newsom 2: Yep.
- 56:24Yeah.
- 56:24Tyson Rule: I remember when we talked about, uh, as far as, you know, big w-
- 56:27big parts of Louisville and kind of some of my biggest moments, and I can't…
- 56:30I think it was, might have been '25, but we ended up having… '25
- 56:33or '24, we had, uh, the grand in all species on our rival feeds.
- 56:38Oh, wow.
- 56:38So, I mean, that was, you know, as a, as the young guys, you know, as far as,
- 56:41you know, we weren't the, you know, the Archer Dan- you know, Daniel Midland.
- 56:44You know, we were, you know, the, I guess I call them the legacy feed companies,
- 56:47the Purinas, you know, that, you know, had probably been doing that for a while.
- 56:50I mean, it was fun for us to be the young kids, you know, and the new guys
- 56:52on the block, you know, and have, you know, where, you know, the, the pigs, the
- 56:55cattle, the sheep, and the goats, all, all four species, you know, being, you
- 56:58know, on, on our feed and supplements was, uh, pr- was pretty awesome for us.
- 57:01Logan Newsom 2: That's big.
- 57:01That's huge.
- 57:02Yeah, absolutely.
- 57:03Yeah.
- 57:03Awesome.
- 57:04That's huge.
- 57:04Absolutely.
- 57:04When was, uh… Did you win Louisville?
- 57:07When?
- 57:08Tyson Rule: So I, not myself, never won Louisville.
- 57:10Okay.
- 57:10Our first Louisville Grand was in 2010 with, uh, Cooper Newcomb.
- 57:14Logan Newsom 2: 2010?
- 57:14Tyson Rule: Yep, Elk City, uh, with one that we raised.
- 57:17Logan Newsom 2: Okay.
- 57:17Tyson Rule: Um, we've had a lot of thirds and a lot of fourths overalls.
- 57:21Uh, Madison, our daughter, won in 2019.
- 57:24So it's, uh, we've, we've had a great run here.
- 57:26Yeah.
- 57:26I mean, it's been fun and, you know, it's, uh, it's not easy.
- 57:30Amber Rule: And then you have Mad with his Southdown.
- 57:31Tyson Rule: Yep, Mad with his Southdown.
- 57:32Logan Newsom 2: Mad with his Southdown.
- 57:32Yep, yep.
- 57:33Tyson Rule: So, and I think we've had, uh, yeah, we've had, I think
- 57:35Sadie Allen was fourth overall.
- 57:37Gabby Rout was, uh, fourth overall.
- 57:39We've had a, had a good run with, you know, customers, uh, both on the Rule
- 57:42sheep coming in, and then now it's been fun on the Rule Suffolks side.
- 57:45And you know, those people come up to you after they, you know, how, you
- 57:47know, they have a good day at the show, then they'll come out to the booth
- 57:50and tell us about it and so forth, and that's kinda cool for us to, you
- 57:52know- That is, yeah, that's- They'll bring, they'll bring their banners up.
- 57:53We'll get pictures, you know- Yeah, that's a
- 57:54Logan Newsom 2: neat
- 57:55Tyson Rule: deal … I think I've taken, uh, at the b- at the booth.
- 57:56Logan Newsom 2: Hit on that real quick, and I know I talked about it a little
- 57:58bit, and I'm not familiar with it.
- 57:59I know that I've probably heard Ty, you know, talk about it, but back whenever,
- 58:04I'd say whenever you were showing, you guys would have sheep in Kansas City.
- 58:08Is this right?
- 58:09Mm-hmm.
- 58:09And then you would have sheep here.
- 58:10I mean, it almost reminds me, like, whenever we showed at Fort Worth
- 58:12and then drove across to El Paso.
- 58:13El Paso, yeah.
- 58:14I mean, you would have sheep in two different places.
- 58:16You would show and immediately- Right … you'd head to Louisville?
- 58:19Tyson Rule: Yeah.
- 58:19You would, uh, I think you'd finish the show and, uh, either that night
- 58:21you would take off and start driving halfway, or the next morning you would
- 58:24get up, uh, you know, before sunlight and head out to Louisville, try to make
- 58:27the, make the ring at both of them, so.
- 58:29Logan Newsom 2: Get there to do it at both of
- 58:30Tyson Rule: them.
- 58:30I can't… You know, now it's hard to imagine, you know, on
- 58:32that side of it, but it's, uh, it was a, it was an event back then.
- 58:35Logan Newsom 2: Can you imagine leaving Kansas City and thinking,
- 58:37"All right. I'm gonna go get ready and do this all over again"?
- 58:39Like- No.
- 58:40Tyson Rule: Oh, my.
- 58:40And have to have, you know, a separate set of parent- Yeah
- 58:42one, one parent at Kansas City,
- 58:43Amber Rule: one parent at Louisville.
- 58:44I think we do
- 58:44Logan Newsom 2: that called Texas Majors, right?
- 58:45Yeah.
- 58:45Yeah.
- 58:45Like Yeah, dang near.
- 58:46Yeah, dang near.
- 58:47Yeah, that's exactly right.
- 58:47Amber Rule: I mean, last year was our first year, uh, taking a whirl at
- 58:50that, and it was quite the experience.
- 58:52Yeah.
- 58:52You don't get to see your house much in the winter.
- 58:54Logan Newsom 2: That, um- … that's, I remember g- guys talking about,
- 58:56like I said, we didn't, we didn't ever experience that, but that seems
- 58:59like… Which we had it a little bit.
- 59:01We, you know, we used to leave Fort Worth, and somebody would… El Paso used to
- 59:04have a… They had a major show out there, and, um, we would leave Fort Worth and
- 59:09then, you know, the mom or the dad or the ag teacher or whoever was helping,
- 59:12somebody would have the sheep already headed that way, and, you know, kids and
- 59:15parents or, you know, carpool or whatever would jump in and, and, and run across the
- 59:19state and get ready to do it again, but-
- 59:21Sam Silvers: Get your vehicle stolen
- 59:22Logan Newsom 2: out there.
- 59:22Get your stuff stolen.
- 59:23Tyson Rule: Yeah.
- 59:23Logan Newsom 2: But you could sneak across the border and beat the shop owner.
- 59:26Tyson Rule: Is that El, El Paso?
- 59:26Is that deal, right?
- 59:27Logan Newsom 2: Yeah.
- 59:27Yeah.
- 59:27Yeah.
- 59:28Yeah.
- 59:28You, we wouldn't do that in today's world, like-
- 59:30Sam Silvers: No
- 59:31… Logan Newsom 2: but yeah.
- 59:32Not, not that, no.
- 59:32It was, it was fun back in the day.
- 59:33Yeah, I'm so glad that we don't have to do it now as stock show dad.
- 59:36Sam Silvers: Yeah.
- 59:38Logan Newsom 2: Okay, what else?
- 59:39What else do you wanna hit on?
- 59:40Well, we got, uh, we have, uh, the booth location is…
- 59:43Amber Rule: Northwest 1… Northwest 164.
- 59:46Logan Newsom 2: Northwest 164.
- 59:47Amber Rule: Northwest 164.
- 59:47Right in the doors.
- 59:48Right
- 59:49Logan Newsom 2: in the doors.
- 59:49Right by Sidell- Right by Sidell … Equipment.
- 59:50Right by Sidell.
- 59:50All the blue c- all the blue equipment, and then they're,
- 59:52they're right there Huge giveaways.
- 59:54We're gonna talk about the Drenchline code that, uh, guys can use to order online.
- 59:58Amber Rule: Drenchline10.
- 59:59Logan Newsom 2: Drenchline10 for 10% off your orders
- 1:00:01Amber Rule: It is 10% off.
- 1:00:01Um, that's during Louisville, so it starts on the 5th and runs through the 21st.
- 1:00:06Logan Newsom 2: Awesome.
- 1:00:065th through
- 1:00:06Sam Silvers: the 21st.
- 1:00:07Logan Newsom 2: Awesome.
- 1:00:07Jump on there.
- 1:00:08Code
- 1:00:08Sam Silvers: Drenchline10.
- 1:00:09Logan Newsom 2: Yep, jump on there.
- 1:00:10Save you a little money on, on some of that
- 1:00:11Amber Rule: freight we talked about.
- 1:00:12Online only, uh, not- Online only?
- 1:00:13Yep, online only, so that's online orders.
- 1:00:15Um- 10% off- … 10% off
- 1:00:17… Tyson Rule: anything
- 1:00:18Sam Silvers: that y'all have online.
- 1:00:19Tyson Rule: Correct.
- 1:00:19Sam Silvers: Correct?
- 1:00:20Amber Rule: Yep.
- 1:00:20Sam Silvers: Perfect.
- 1:00:20Logan Newsom 2: Very good.
- 1:00:21Tyson Rule: Get in on it.
- 1:00:21Tyson lost that battle, just to give you a heads-up, so good job,
- 1:00:23Sam, good job, Amber, on that-
- 1:00:25big discount.
- 1:00:25Yep.
- 1:00:26Logan Newsom 2: What
- 1:00:26Tyson Rule: were
- 1:00:26Sam Silvers: you wanting to give, like .25?
- 1:00:28Tyson Rule: I, I run the numbers on it, so I know how, I know how we stay lean
- 1:00:30and mean, so it's a little trickier, so- … anyways, uh, you know, Maverick's
- 1:00:34not gonna be getting the, uh, you know, the Xbox for, uh, Christmas anymore.
- 1:00:37No Xbox for Maverick.
- 1:00:37You know, we're gonna have to go for rocks and sticks, but we'll make it work.
- 1:00:40Logan Newsom 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:41Hey, talk about real quick on, on the Rule Supplement side, it's obviously you two.
- 1:00:44Uh, I know you got a, a, a team behind you, but, um-
- 1:00:49Tyson Rule: Yeah,
- 1:00:49Logan Newsom 2: we, we need to mention that … any outside sales
- 1:00:50folks that are need mentioning?
- 1:00:52Tyson Rule: Who do you got?
- 1:00:52Yeah, so, you know, we got a couple, couple, uh, key
- 1:00:54individuals that work for us.
- 1:00:55Uh, you know, we have, uh, Blake Goss is our pig specialist that, you
- 1:00:58know, he helps us create products on the pig side, uh, lines 'em
- 1:01:01up, you know, gets us lined out.
- 1:01:03Does a ton of test trialing for us, um, you know, helps develop,
- 1:01:06develop and run, so he's, uh, a big influencer on that side for us.
- 1:01:10Uh, we have Jurahee Silvers, uh, S- Sam's wife.
- 1:01:13New employee to bring in to, uh, help us with wholesale, uh, feed
- 1:01:16store and distributor orders.
- 1:01:18Uh, helps them, uh, make sure that we get the, the right products to them
- 1:01:20at the right time, uh, in the right quantities, so that's been awesome
- 1:01:23for us, uh, to have her helping that role and really kinda give us…
- 1:01:26You know, while we're on the road, it gives us a, a, a phone call that people
- 1:01:29can ca- get ahold of on a daily basis.
- 1:01:31Right.
- 1:01:31So that part's been awesome.
- 1:01:32Uh, we just brought in a kid named Owen Brinker, uh, is actually a, a Yankee,
- 1:01:37uh, transferred down to Texas Tech, then went to be a Yankee again and now he's,
- 1:01:41uh, back to, back in the South again.
- 1:01:42So, uh, we're pretty pumped about him, and he's, uh-
- 1:01:45Sam Silvers: Glad we got him converted.
- 1:01:46Tyson Rule: Yeah.
- 1:01:47He's here.
- 1:01:47He just
- 1:01:47Amber Rule: didn't wanna be on the podcast
- 1:01:48Tyson Rule: today.
- 1:01:48Yep.
- 1:01:49Sam Silvers: He didn't wanna be on it?
- 1:01:50Tyson Rule: Yeah.
- 1:01:50Yeah.
- 1:01:50So we're having him run around and grab some content, but, uh, you know, he's
- 1:01:53gonna have kind of a all-encompassing role of kinda learning the entire business
- 1:01:55side of it, so that way, uh, in theory, maybe he can kinda, can start picking up
- 1:01:59some of those items and take some of them off my plate so people can, can appro-
- 1:02:02you know, can have a daily person to, you know, hit on, uh, be able to approach
- 1:02:05and bring up and has a ton of experience on both the, you know, the repro and
- 1:02:09the show side, uh, as far as, you know, what works and what doesn't work.
- 1:02:12Uh, he knows our products very well, I mean, so that's been the awesome part.
- 1:02:14So as you have questions on, you know, both sheep, goats, pigs, cattle, I mean,
- 1:02:17all the above, uh, he's a great resource to have on that side, and, you know, a,
- 1:02:22a tremendous evaluator on, uh, on the livestock side, so, I mean, understands
- 1:02:25what they need to look like, what they need to handle like and how to work them.
- 1:02:27So those, uh, and we have Jordan Ambry, he's kind of been our business
- 1:02:30development manager to help us, uh, with some of those bigger relationships and
- 1:02:33new products that we're bringing on.
- 1:02:35Um, helps kind of- He'll do a lot of, uh, work on trying to make sure that,
- 1:02:39you know, the people that do have new products they wants to try, he, you know,
- 1:02:41helps on that process and, uh, make sure that, you know, they are a product that
- 1:02:44we think is, uh, of value to be able to bring on and, uh, bring sources and,
- 1:02:48and also works with, uh, some of the distributors as far as throughout the
- 1:02:51country on those bigger relationships that we wanna make sure that, hey, this
- 1:02:55small feed store, um, you know, that is a, you know, is a, is a member of
- 1:02:58the, you know, the associated feed or the early bird or the call box side.
- 1:03:02Uh, make sure that, you know, those feed stores have a knowledge base too to help,
- 1:03:06uh, with them on orders and so forth.
- 1:03:08Sam Silvers: Awesome.
- 1:03:08Logan Newsom 2: Yep, very good.
- 1:03:09That's what I knew.
- 1:03:10I knew there was a handful of those guys that helped pull the rope, you
- 1:03:13know, and wanted to make sure and kind of mention them, and so if, if Tyson
- 1:03:16or Amber aren't, um, you know, readily available, there's obviously some folks
- 1:03:19that you can reach out that, that are very knowledgeable and, um, you know,
- 1:03:23all guys that you've mentioned there and, and ladies that, um, have been successful
- 1:03:27and, you know, have operations of their own and, and, uh, certainly could be
- 1:03:31a great resource to, to reach out to.
- 1:03:32Tyson Rule: Yeah.
- 1:03:33But, you know, we're a big, uh, you know, A-team player guy as far
- 1:03:36as, uh, you know, people we wanna have associated with our brand.
- 1:03:38I mean, they… You know, we want the best of the best.
- 1:03:40Um, so, you know, we've kind of tried to develop a, you know, a small core
- 1:03:43group that we can keep, uh, you know, that we can have, you know, s- you know,
- 1:03:47have the same ideals and beliefs of, uh, our company and what we want, you
- 1:03:50know, what, you know, what we believe in, and have them push out, you know,
- 1:03:53and as far as being able to help out.
- 1:03:54But, you know, you know, we think that having those, you know, tier one
- 1:03:57talent people that, you know, really understand the industry, understand
- 1:04:00our products, uh, understand what, you know, livestock should look like,
- 1:04:04and are down in the trenches and on a day-to-day basis, I mean, they're
- 1:04:06either at stock shows or they've been feeding the animals, I mean- Yeah
- 1:04:09we want the, th- that core to be the, you know, the core of Rule Supplements.
- 1:04:13Logan Newsom 2: Absolutely.
- 1:04:13Tyson Rule: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:04:14Logan Newsom 2: I think you got to.
- 1:04:14I mean, that's the… That's the ones that folks wanna reach out to.
- 1:04:17Yeah.
- 1:04:17You know, that's the ones they wanna reach out to and, and, and pick their
- 1:04:20brains and, you know, they've, they've seen the ins and outs of it, and
- 1:04:23they've seen the good and the bad.
- 1:04:24You know, like we think we say it a lot on here, we're not experts.
- 1:04:27We've just screwed up so many more times than anybody else has.
- 1:04:29Than anybody else,
- 1:04:29Sam Silvers: yep.
- 1:04:29Yep.
- 1:04:30Yep.
- 1:04:31Absolutely.
- 1:04:31Well, Tyson, Amber, thank you again.
- 1:04:34Yeah.
- 1:04:34Thank you.
- 1:04:34Um, folks listening, be sure to stop by the Rule Supplements
- 1:04:37booth here at Louisville.
- 1:04:39Um, if you order online, use DRENCHLINE10 code.
- 1:04:42Yep.
- 1:04:4310% off.
- 1:04:44Tyson doesn't like it, but you're
- 1:04:45Amber Rule: gonna
- 1:04:45Sam Silvers: get
- 1:04:45Amber Rule: 10% off.
- 1:04:46No, Tyson doesn't like it.
- 1:04:47Sam Silvers: Yeah.
- 1:04:47Amber Rule: I, I should say- I guess I'll throw him under
- 1:04:48the bus too a little bit too.
- 1:04:49Um, if we do run out of product, which we have on some of them, um, Sullivan
- 1:04:53Supply is a big distributor of ours.
- 1:04:55They're located back on the corner- Yep … um, in the same expo hall here, so.
- 1:04:59Sam Silvers: Yep.
- 1:04:59And remember, if you order twice, it's technically 20% off.
- 1:05:03Amber Rule: You can only use it once.
- 1:05:05Sam Silvers: That's… I love… Sam
- 1:05:05Logan Newsom 2: is not in charge of math.
- 1:05:06Yep.
- 1:05:06You know, after Drench Line passes hopefully.
- 1:05:07That's why there's Dre, folks.
- 1:05:08Ladies and gentlemen, Dre Silvers.
- 1:05:10Reach out to her.
- 1:05:11Sam Silvers: Thanks again.
- 1:05:12We'll see you down the road.
